"rego park" Discussed on The Horse Racing Radio Network Podcast

"Came back and absolutely romped in a maiden special weight stake spread and neither of those horses gene running nor bold journey have run more than 6 6 and a half furlongs. This is a one turn mile. I don't know, Bobby. I don't have a strong feeling here. I completely understand why bold journey who was privately purchased after that debut improved from a fig standpoint in the second race could be better than these. I did watch with my very own eyes, G money beat, bold journey. I'm not convinced that bold journey is much better, though I certainly leave that open as a possibility. I'm interested in number 5 barista for Michael maker and Dylan Davis who won that regal park, but that also was at 6 and a half prolongs. I'm not convinced that that was an incredibly strong field, though I did think barista looked very impressive. I'm looking for a price and a race that I don't particularly like. I landed on Geno for David donk. Last time out, I thought ran pretty well in his first ever dirt race, a New York stallion series racer, a ritzy race with a lot of money on the line. Yeah, the fig on the dirt wasn't great, but the horse that finished second came back to run well in the withers last weekend, I don't know, I'm looking for a price. Well, I agree with you. It's a race that's a little tough, and if I'm playing horizontally, I'm going to use three of them. Number one, G money, number 5 barista, who I believe you picked on top in the rego park and got the job done at right around a $9 mutual and the favorite bold journey, bold journeys my top pick only because of the three, I think he's best bred for handling the extra distance being by hard spun out of a super saver mayor sounds like route breeding on both top and bottom to me, whereas boji money Marisa have kind of mixture of sprint route breeding, maybe even more sprint breeding for Boris. So I'm going to put bold journey on top, but I'm going to use numbers one 5 and 7. Dave going to take a shot with number 6 Geno in the featured race tomorrow at aqueduct the $100,000 Gander goes as race 8 right around four 30 Eastern Time. Let's head down south to Gulfstream park. They've got a couple of stakes on their Saturday card, including race number 5, the grade three Gulfstream park turf sprint, four year olds and up going 5 furlongs on the turf, purse is $100,000 and a field of just 7 going to post Dave. We've got a heavy favorite number 7 gear jockey for rusty Arnold and Louis syes. Yeah, I'm not sure that anyone in this field can compete with gear jockey coming out of a breeder's Cup race, want a grade three sprint Kentucky Dallas in September and just looks much, much the best. Now, it is possible that 5 furlongs is not gear jockey's best distance. It also is possible. He's not fully cranked, hasn't run since the beginning of November, but this is not a field to me that offers a ton of resistance. I wonder if warriors pride on the rail can go wire to wire, but I'm not trying to beat gear jockey. I am going to try to be geared jockey. And I respect your Jackie. I just think that he's going to be over bet in this spot simply because he's coming out of the breeders cup last time out. And he ran a decent race that day, ran behind golden pal and everyone ran behind golden pal, who just opened up and was never seen again. About a jump and a half out of the gate. Gear jockey was only about 5 lengths behind him. He actually ran a pretty good race that day. He's a very, he's very logical in spot. I happen to think number 5 belgrano's best races would give gear jockey all he could handle. Now I don't know if he's going to run one of those best races tomorrow, but he's a much better price than gear Jackie. He's 9 to two on the board. He's another one coming out of a graded stake. He ran a very good third as a gigantic price in the tropical turf last time out going the about one mile distance. I think he's better sprinting than he is routing, although he has one routing in the past. But price wise, I think it's too big of a price differential for horses that in my mind are not that far apart. So I'm going to put number 5 belgrano on top. I'll use number 7 gear jockey as well just because it's very simple. He's obviously the horse to beat in this spot. I just think he's going to be over bet. So gear jockey for Dave belgrano for me, race number 5 tomorrow at Gulfstream, the grade three. Gulfstream park turf sprint. We're going to stay on the turf at Gulfstream and we're going to stay sprinting on the turf at Gulfstream, moving up to the 8th race, the ladies turf sprint, $100,000 on the line here for the Phillies and mirrors going 5 furlongs on the lawn just a field of 7. We heard there in the open, the stretch call of last year's lightning city stakes up at Tampa Bay downs, one by miss or a met. She is certainly the one of the ones tomorrow in the lady stakes, but the favored on the morning line and going for her third win in a row is number two, miss J McKay, right, and those two ran against each other last time out, miss aram met was the 7 to 5 favorite and just got a horrible trip. Hit the gate, got cut off, was pushed out in the stretch. I don't know if she was going to win, but it's might be a toss, or it's at least one that you give her a break gone. Miss Sarah met has run 27 times has ten wins and 8 seconds, and we basically know what she is. She'll be close to the pace and she's pretty good. She gets bent down every time. I don't think she's unbelievable. She's solid and you're going to get a good effort. Miss Jay McKay sort of similar 12 times out there generally running in high priced optional claimers or kind of low level stakes races and is really, really consistent solid, Christophe koman has done a great job with this Maryland bred back to back victories. I think this race is full of horses that have run 15 times 20 times 30 times good horses, not great horses. I'm gonna try a horse that I think maybe the upside is higher. Guardian moon for Jorge Abreu two for two, yes, the races are not remotely close to his good as some of the others. Only run twice both state bred New York races beat state bread maidens at Saratoga in August was often till April beat allowance state bred horses at aqueduct has been bet both times has run really well both times. Everyone else to me has some sort of limitation. I'm gonna give guardian moon a try the morning line is 6 to one. You get Louis sigh as I think there's value. Well, there's definitely value there, and there's definitely upside, and I can see why you like guardian moon. It's a shame. This is one of those type of runners where unfortunately they're forced away from where they really want to be. She's in New York bread, who's already run very well twice in New York against state breads. But unfortunately, with the weather, the way it is in New York this time of year, there's no turf racing for. So it's a choice of either sitting and waiting and getting ready to roll basically at the end of this aqueduct season. So I would say another, oh, what is it a month and a half or so before they get turf racing again? Or do you want to keep her fit this way and try a little $100,000 steak like this? And they're going with option two. I don't know if there's a better way of doing it. I think it's a good sign that she is racing. I don't think she's as good yet as either miss J McKay or miss or a met. I'm going to put miss ornament on top simply for what you said. She had trouble last time out was actually favored against miss J McKay. I think she's capable of better than what she showed and she probably may not be favored tomorrow in the ladies turf, miss J McKay may actually get the favorites role. So we're both picking against the morning line favorite, at least mildly, Dave going with number four guardian moon. I'm going with number 6 miss or a met in the 8th race tomorrow at Gulfstream park, the ladies turf sprint $100,000 on the line for the Phillies and mayors going 5 eighths of a mile on the turf. We're going to take our first break. When we come back, we're going to look at some more graded stakes action. They got a couple of graded stakes at Oakland tomorrow and one graded stake out at the great race place San Anita. "Um He also had some, you know, not insignificant. Union support 32 B J. D. C 37, the Hotel Trades Council. All unions with pretty strong turnout operations that were definitely messed, you know, sending messages to their members, and it's clear that Along with the support he had from elected officials in those different areas that he was able to connect his message with the voters at the right moment. How do your friend is his coalition from the de Blasio Coalition or the Bloomberg Coalition? Well, when you look at the de Blasio coat, there is definite overlapped with the de Blasio coalition. You know some of the same areas in central Brooklyn and southeast Queens. That Adams performed really, really well in de Blasio also performed well in de Blasio did better in parts of Manhattan. He actually won in the West Village, which was the district that Former city Council speaker Christine Quinn actually represented, Um, but he also picked up some support in Harlem and then he had a real base because he represented Park Slope in the City Council before becoming the public advocate. In that brownstone Brooklyn area and added some other, You know communities in Queens to sort of round out his support. When you look at the atoms support, Um Manhattan really went very strongly for Katherine Garcia. She picked up the strongest support among Higher income, higher educated voters. Maya Wiley then also ate into some of that in areas where we've seen sort of a growth on Progressive activism. So in those areas in Queens and in Brooklyn, where you know some of the younger, more animated a political activists are that is where Maya Wiley performed, Uh, strongest over even over in The East Village area. Uh, so it's a different coalition. Um, but, you know, I think one of the challenges and opportunities for atoms when he presumably wins in November, is Um, you know, lay presenting a mandate to the city and presenting an agenda to the city that brings together you know, a unifying vision, and I think that is something that he has said that he aims to do Right, And Adams has his fans and he has his detractors. I think he sees himself as kind of the political missing link, you know, he straddles police reform. And using the police to reduce the number of shootings, someone who gets housing insecurity in New York, But it's also not a stated enemy of landlords and developers and other things like that, so Now that the campaign is over, where he clearly made some right calls just in terms of strategy, emphasizing public safety and his own biography. How do you see him pivoting to a more holistic governing approach, as opposed to campaigning approach once he presumably gets past the November election. Well, I think that so much as you laid out So much of the atoms campaign, uh, was just timed for the moment, as we say, you know, in the analysis of any campaign The timing really is often everything. And so he it will be fascinating to see where the city is. Come January of 2022 to what extent the the issues of crime and public safety versus Covid reopening and relief are the dominant issues. You know, he has talked about how there is no recovery without public safety, and I think that theme is And will largely drive the early days of the administration, ensuring that there is a sense of public safety to allow for, you know a full sense of the city's recovery and reopening. And tourism and all that is all that comes with a full functioning New York City. Let's take a ranked choice. Voting math question. I think that's what it is from Bob in Rego Park, Bobby, you're on W N Y C Hi, there. Hey, Brian. I haven't spoken to show while doing a great job and the reporter like to make a statement. I felt as though which I both like Wiley. I like Garcia. I felt so they both cancelled each other out. Adam says the mayor is not going to go after billions of dollars from Cuomo. He's going to be great Federal for people who have money and we would have been better off of either one of those would have not been in the race. We would have our first. I'm sorry to wildly. Garcia, we we had our first mayor and either one of them I would have been here. Tremendously satisfied. Even though Manhattan went for Garcia, she would have been much President Adams Adams is not going to go and communicate with the governor and help the real people report people in this city. I have money people have money. But I think that was a big mistake and either one of them should have bowed out of the race. Bob. Thank you very much. Well, 1st 1st of all, I'm sure. In fairness to Eric Adams. He would say he certainly is there on behalf of poor people. He grew up poor himself. I mentioned that he won, in part, I believe, because he told his own story, his own biography effectively and that certainly grew up being poor. His base was working class. It was not the Manhattan elite who voted much more. For Garcia, and even for Wiley, Um so so there's that in in, You know how Eric Adams would at very least defend himself and with respect to Garcia and wildly cancelling each other out. Bridget. It's an interesting question, and I guess it depends how you look at what the lanes quote unquote really were in this race where they progressive and moderate, in which case Um Wiley is in her own name separate from Garcia and Adams, who are both considered a little more moderate. Or maybe there was Woman candidate Lane or I don't know. How do you see it? I think that you can't ignore how different Garcia and Wiley were as candidates and what the positions that they taken and Um, the platforms they were running on..

NASA's Mars rover Perseverance successfully touches down on the red planet

"Rover has landed in the past. Our perseverance touched down safely on Mars, where it will look for signs of ancient life, among other very cool things. And now the $2.7 billion spacecraft is getting a close up. Look at the Red Planet. With some engineering help from a Queens native Gotham's reporter City Pereira has the story. Vishnu Streeter grew up in Rego Park, where he was fascinated with watching airplanes take off from LaGuardia. His grandfather, a civil engineer who built trains and dams in India inspired him. Now he has co engineer these Super Cam, a scanner that can examine rocks and minerals from 20 ft away to reveal their chemical makeup. That's something I will cherish for less of my life having to have touched and worked on. A piece of hardware that's honest way to Mars. The 27 year old helped build the craft at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.

"With her gun holders that he must be in Brooklyn. The sun comes out. It's a man with a gun. He's probably in New York City. Yes. S so little thistles. Lydia surrounded with Dominic Carter. Welcome back. We're in for Bernie and said all this week until 10 a.m.. What the heck is going on in Brooklyn? We got the shooting. We got the crazy squirrel have been queen. We got the crazy squirrels Rego Park, Queens and then in Borough Park, Brooklyn. We had somebody roller skating at 2 30 in the morning, people roller skate that this is the guy that was hit by the by the car in the hit and run incident, Right? And the police pulled the guy over a few blocks later. Yeah, I feel like I feel like I'm basically in bizarro world, right? Because we've got criminals out on the streets everywhere. We got people bathing in Penn Station as you saw Governor Cuomo. He's saying that guess guess who he is saying should be ahead in the line regarding covert vaccines ahead of the general population and elderly people. With, you know, people who have underlying conditions and elderly people. He actually said that he thinks addicts in state rehab facilities. They're going to be given the cove it vaccine this week ahead of elderly people, not the ones living in nursing homes. But people like my parents, people like your aunt's people with underlying conditions, a vulnerable population. The people that we know are affected most adversely by the coronavirus. No, no, no. Get to the back of the light, Not the back of the line. But move on back a little bit. Let's give the addicts and then you got Ayanna Pressley. She is a Democratic lawmaker. A congresswoman Michigan, take a listen to hear who she says. Should get to the front of the line as well. I'm gonna continue to fight for our most vulnerable communities who have been disproportionately impacted by the virus for our health care workers for our essential workers for incarcerated men and women to be prioritized in the distribution of the vaccine. So she's saying prisoners. She wants prisoners. You got Cuomo, who says he wants drug addicts to get to the front of the line. Meanwhile, we got everything on lock down. You got Cuomo saying all we need more money. This is a disgrace. This is a disgrace. Maybe we could play that you want. Let's play that again. How disgusted He is with the cove it relief Bill, Take a listen to this. Will that they passed in. Washington has several relief funds for certain groups and certain functions. In this state. It's almost inconsequential. You know, it's a It's a cruel irony that they say what we're giving New York State cruel ex for rent Relief and Why for small businesses, and we're giving this to the schools. They make it sound like they accomplished something. They accomplished nothing. It's telling a starving family. Well, I gave you two pieces of bread. Yeah, thank you very much. What's with the bread? AOC, said people who steal their likely stealing for bread. You know what he's accomplished. He accomplished killing a bunch of elderly people due to his march 25th mandate, which ordered that elderly people nursing home residents that were positive with the coronavirus head to do be re admitted back into the nursing homes and then on top of it, So wait, Wait, wait. Take a breath. I know I'm upset. I'm so weak. So how many cups of coffee have now that I'm a very passionate person. And Yeah, I really could You tell? No. Could you tell? No, I mean, you're you're going off more on the situation with the woman with the cell phone and the kid more than I am. I think because, as a mother, it's just like it really bothers me that she attacked this child. And that's and I'm really proud of that father that he didn't slap her upside the head because I would've slapped okay, but but the father knew that that was not an option. Can you imagine what would happen once the NYPD responded? If if he had did that, for for those of you wondering what we're talking about at the Arlo Hotel in a posh part of town, Tribeca. It's a very upscale New York City hotel. This white woman She left the hotel. She was a guest there three days prior. She couldn't find her cell phone. She goes back into the hotel lobby sees an African American teenager 13 years old apparently has a similar phone as to what she has on and take a listen to hear what happens next. So this is my phone. Shall we know you don't have to explain that to her face off. That's one really give a shit about. You.

"I was invited to host a dinner for Republicans at Frankie Russo's place. Russo's on the bank and Howard Beach right chance tonight to hang out and get to really know guys like Nick Lang worthy before he actually took over. He was even in charge back then of the Republican Party here in New York state exactly right. Joe Borelli and Erik all rich Tom Sullivan. I met Elizabeth Pip. Go of that night, Lisbon on the show a bunch of times and Cindy grows and really Joanne areola or the reasons I was there, and it was a great night, and we've not developed really good relationships with a lot of these Republican candidates in New York. Money, which we hope will win and Joanne Arriola is stepping in after spending many years in Queens Council Person D. A's office, she is now running for the borough president in Queens. He's a legitimate underdog to Donovan Richards. But she did get the endorsement of a whole bunch of folks. The P B, a every cop organization, The New York Post. She's a good friend and a great lady. And we are endorsing her here on the Bernie and Sichuan. Let's say good morning to Joanne Ariola. Jo Ann. Good morning. How are you, Joanna? Good morning, guys. And thanks for that endorsement. I truly appreciate it. I know you do. I love being around like minded people. So great to be here this morning. Well, we are that and look one of the things that the guy you're running against is for 40 funding the police. He is for extreme I mean, extreme measures. When it comes to criminal bail reform. He's about his far to the left as you can possibly get, so I know that your label does an underdog. But you would hope that come and sense. Folks who live in Queens. Take a look at that. And that may in fact change their mind and Get their vote. That's exactly why I'm running. I'm running because I think that people in this in this borough are fed up. I think that voters are fed up. I think that the biggest divide in the burrow and in our city right now with people who want safe streets, people who want anarchy and Donovan Richards has made it clear which side you're on. And that's why I'm getting such a tremendous response from law enforcement with their their endorsement from the voters throughout the borough as I'm eating them, and they also have the endorsement of council member Holden and all rich, which, as you know, one of the Democrats won, is a Republican. So I had support across the aisle. Joanna really running for Queens Borough President Jo Ann Look, last night was a stunning reminder ofthe what can happen here in this city? It happened earlier this year, unfortunately, but Wait. Don't don't give the police the resources they need. We could be in big, big trouble right here in this city when one incident away from something like Philadelphia last night. I think we lost her. But we are well one incident away, Sidney. How about that? No. I think you're right way saw some of it in downtown Brooklyn last night, and it's already spread to hear. Yes, exactly like they were burning American flags breaking windows. I mean, and yet you have these people they support as AH, Billy Prep a was saying. Black lives matter, a Marxist organization that wants to defund the police and our our light. Our lives are at stake because of that, And that's Donovan Richards. The wind is back with us Botanical. Bernie's question. Bernie's, right. I mean, this could be this could be in flushing. It could be in Rego Park. It won't be in Howard Beach, but it could be a lot of places come tomorrow. I want to tell you that it happened right in Ozone Park just two nights ago where a small business owner of convenience store owner was shot. One was one was murdered. The other was was seriously and critically injured, and it was, you know. Ah, someone who was a homeless person who came in with mentally ill on until these issues are addressed. We take the handcuffs. You know, off the cops and put them back on the criminals. We're going to continue to see this and it will escalate to the party to the degree of Philadelphia. I mean, we need good community policing. When he last training, I get that I look, I don't think the funding the police is the way to do it. No, no, it's a deadly mistake on our elected officials should have known better, and Donovan Richards is the chair of the Public Safety Committee. For the sitting council. Yet all law enforcement union endorsed me over him. That says a lot know that says it all. Actually again. Joann Ariola winning for borough president, the Great borough of Queens. Now I live in Manhattan, and I do spend a lot of time in the borough used to live in Brooklyn. I don't spend a lot of time in Queens. So tell me, what are some of the areas Joanne, that desperately need your help that could really, really get a bit of an overhaul in the great borough of Queens. Oh, I think the entire borough needs an overhaul. But I love Queens. And I think it's the best place to live because it's the perfect combination of urban and suburban living. But what's happening is because of Donovan Richards and de Blasio. We have all these homeless shelters and what I call Hotel de Blasio's popping up in locations like fresh meadows or homeless shelters in Glendale or here in Ozone Park on what happens there being forced on the communities and the honestly the city of failing are mentally ill. Population because their their warehousing people who have mental illness, drug addiction in hotels in warehouses for homeless shelters, and.

"Team tall up with you today. I think there's a two questions here. The first one is You know the difference between all those more time ideas? Obviously, we're about people who could not pay. It was never supposed to be about people had the ability to pay, and I have said this so many times. I fundamentally believe in protecting folks. Million people lost their jobs. So many people have nobility paid. Those folks should not be put out on the street. But folks who can pay need to pay Uh, and the court systems are coming back. More more, Actually, not. Not all that obviously, But more and more court activity is happening. It's a really good thing. But the other thing is if someone's threatening another person. You know that then takes on other ramifications. And so there may be a law enforcement issue here as well. So Richard will have one of our legal team talk to you today to get the details and see there's some way we can help resolve this. Richard. Hang on. We will take your contact Information question from Twitter after AH exchange about ice and the NYPD E. Someone writes this week. The Eastern District. I guess that's the U. S attorney's office covering Brooklyn and Queens. Announced yet another NYPD and Fed program to ensure people in federal gang cases. This says Why does the mayor allow the NYPD D, which this writer says has a racist and controversial gang database? To collaborate with Trump law enforcement and prosecutors to build dangerous cases. I guess it's about the gangs. Yeah. Look, I I know the question is asked in on a spirit. I think the question is asked from the assumption that all things are the same when I don't think that's true. Gangs are riel problem in communities all over this city. So for everyone who wants continued police reform and to change the culture of policing in relation with police and community. I want that deeply. We all need to continue that work, but that's not To say there isn't a real problem with gangs in lots of communities. I've talked to community members all over the city who want chain to want reform, but also want violence addressed and gangs are re Elish you and having an appropriate gang database with write checks and balances. Is a fair tool to stop violence against everyday people in vulnerable communities. But in terms of the Eastern district, this is Brian is a really fair question of where Does the Trump Administration begin and end and the traditional federal government beginning and you know the Eastern district in the Southern District two Federal prosecutorial arms. In many ways they have continued to follow. The norms existed before Trump and I want to be clear about that. You know the U. S attorneys have shown in this City. Ah, lot of independence from the Trump Administration. So if they are pursuing violent criminals and trying to stop gang based violence, that is not something that should be seen through the prism of everything we disagree with with the Trump administration. I think if that is from what I've heard a legitimate effort to stop violent crime, Of course, we're going to work with the federal government on. That's the same point we talked about earlier if Homeland Security is trying to stop sex trafficking. That's very different than a politicized and you know, very, very punitive approach to immigration, and we have to have the ability to see that so many things could be different from others. Let's take another call Alexa in Queens, you're on W and my C with the mayor. Hi, Alexa. Hi, Brian. Thank you so much for taking my call. So I am Community board six chair that covers Regal Park in Forest Hills. We have been, you know, taking this Corona virus crisis extremely seriously. From the beginning there have been son object in our district in 11374 Rego Park, as well as in the surrounding neighborhoods that are outside the scope of Queens Community Board six. 11375 has not had a demonstrative all increase in Corona virus cases. As far as we can tell, there are some limitations to the data that's presented on the mayor's website. The governor's website and Red Zone have not really covered with numbers. I I would say that it's not New York smart if you would like to think that it is, But we are. I'm here advocating for our residents who have had rollbacks in their businesses, some that have just Reopens that are now in the red zone without the data to back up. Why that is I'm advocating for public school parents who had to take out their students from schools in zones that did not have even a 2% data. For criminal virus positive cases. And I'm here to just Say that's a miscommunication and lack of coordination between the state and the city has had a very negative effect on the residence of my district. Alexa first. Well, thank you for the work. You do, because being a committee board chair is a huge amount of work and not compensated. So thank you very, very much. Look, I really do appreciate the point you're making because, um The goal here, of course, is never ever have to close down a school or a small business unless It is about stopping a second wave and and that's why I just want to put this in really quick context. We are threatened with a full blown second wave here in New York City. We're seeing it in other parts of country. We're seeing it in a lot of Europe. It's absolutely troubling to see how far these places are falling backwards. We can't let that happen here. So our health department got two very strong view that there were some areas that we didn't take aggressive action. We would be threatening a second wave that would engulf all of New York City, and this is one focused on 100% stopping that from happening. Now, I Alexei, you're obviously right that it would be nice if there had been one consistent approach from the beginning. But that's sometimes hard to do between different levels of government. I'm not excusing it. I'm just being honest. And I talked about this publicly before you know, the federal government state government always on the same page state government city government, it is not helpful. But it is often a reality. But I think that the thing we need to do now is just get through this as quickly as humanly possible because we have a chance to get this done in the next week or two. If everyone does what they should do. With masks and social distancing and following these rules And make this something that was a quick Period time. Even though it was difficult for folks. It was quick and then we never have to go back to it. That's what I'm trying to achieve. And so you know, the decisions were made by the state. They do have that right under the state of emergency determined by the Legislature. But everyone and this is what city and state absolutely airlines. We want to get through this as quickly as possible so long as it's safe and reopen as quickly as possible. Alexa. Thank you very much for that related, Mr Mayor. You know the national news? I'm sure I don't have to tell you is increasingly about rising cases and hospitalizations nationwide. We've had the spikes in the mostly Hasidic neighborhoods of the city. But you reported yesterday they might be abating. And you were just indicating something like that. Now, what can you tell us about where we really are? Yeah. Look, Brian, I will state and I'm sure you will agree with this that the first thing to be is cautious. And driven by facts and data and science. So when I say we're leveling off his conversation I've had with our health leadership. I'm saying that guardedly, we see some improvement. So, for example, if you look at today's citywide indicators Our overall testing. We're doing a lot more testing we've ever done since March. Our overall testing for today in New York City is 1.2% positivity. And then our seven day rolling average number is 1.56%. Ah, and hospital admissions for the day 77. But these are numbers That certainly indicate something is plateau Elling. On a citywide basis in the community's most affected. There are still some that are not moving right direction, but a number of them have either leveled off or start to go, You know, towards better numbers, lower numbers. So when you composite, all of it, we're a lot better off than we were a week ago. The point is, we have to consolidate those gains this week next week to get out of these restrictions. Hopefully, you know there is a chance gathers restrictions as early as later next ladder part of next week. That's my goal. And based on the numbers I'm seeing..

"Whatever did have a did have a thyroid problem, and I was taking something for it. And underactive thyroid, okay? But with the cab because of the cow him. I thought And I asked the doctor who said that was okay. But I'm asking you because there was too much calcium and I take how high is it, Cal? Sound byte and then so I take. I don't have the report in front of me. I'm sorry, but ISAT. Okay, so I don't know, but I take the Centrum silver. And and that has a considerable amount of calcium. So instead of taking that doesn't have a lot of calcium. I don't think it's from taking calcium. I think the pharaoh the parathyroid gland. Is either irritated inflamed by something and you're making extra parathyroid hormone and you're pushing calcium into your blood. It wouldn't be from taking calcium that that Gland would just go crazy. You know, so we have to see what's happening. So how would you have any doctor's gonna want to test to see whether its primary You know, parathyroid issue or whether or not your brain has something that's stimulating a fairy to make that hormone. You want to make sure that there's no benign growths on the gland. We want to make sure nothing's happening. Your brain that's telling you that your parents are e to make extra Ramon. Some people have it as a result of taking a medication called lithium. Some people would have had Radiation treatment. I mean, I'm just trying to draw from my brain things that correlate with the parathyroid. What is your doctor recommended you to do? Well, I had it before. I guess maybe 678 years ago, And then when the next check up came it was normal. And so now it seems to be back and I guess he's just watching it. I mean, if if the levels aren't too high, you may not have too much to worry about. But I would look a little further just to see what with the level speed because I don't have supposed to be below 10.6. So, no, I mean this. Obviously, If it's higher of the parish council was supposed to go below 10.6. So you might be 10. Put eight. I mean, I don't know. 11. The one thing you want to make sure of is that the parathyroid is acting on its own is not acting as a result, because there are some people that have high calcium, hyper calc Mia that could actually have a tumor. Anywhere in your body, even along tumor, and then that can spike and make the parathyroid push out the calcium. So that's why the doctor wants to take a look at that. Thank you so much. You're very welcome. So good to talk to you have a wonderful day. Okay, let's go next to Andy from Rego Park. Yeah. Hi. I question we're going the corona violence. Is there any concern about elective Daniel besieges with the Corona virus? I'm specifically referring teeth cleaning. What's happened now? Is that anything that you go to the doctor for? If it's a procedure, whether it's dental, you know, ocular issues. They're gonna test you and see that you don't have code before you going to do it. So the likelihood of someone else going in there And having cove. It is almost nil, the likelihood of the staff or the doctors having it would be nil because if someone did test for it And they were positive that wouldn't be able to be there, so I don't think there's much of a risk. Yeah, But what? What? How reliable test. Well, the antibody test is reliable because it's looking into antibodies. I g N I G. M. If I G is positive and Emma's positive it's active now. If Ji is positive name is negative. It's prior and it's over and done with. If G is negative and Emma's positive then that antibody might be reacting to a similar non Dangerous Corona virus. Some of those that have been around round for many years. Well, that's how those tests are better. There's no reason to worry about it. I don't think so. Just call the office and ask if the doctor and the patients they're normally tested. In the staff. Yeah. Okay. That's what I want to know. Okay? Thank you for your call. Have a good day. 108 for eight W A. B. C. Let's go, too. Monica. Yeah. Okay. Howie Greer. I'm so in distress because of the pressure. I'm like, yes, if I could get in high end buyer and I already take 50 milligrams ofthe sudden across the nation with a hydro qualifies on 1.5 My doctor. Yeah. I mean, I don't like all of them, but it's no going down. My birth pushes one period of nine before over 90. I don't know your body is that some sort of tipping point We have to figure out what's causing that. You have a lot of salt in your diet. I have no amount I want. I don't believe because off my hands, I don't know. Are you well above the way you should be out of your your is your body's way of just retire, like two years ago, so I'm not because of my back issue. I'm not with it doing anything. And that's one thing I would want to ask you also. Yes. Oh, I know. I ask that because you know if you've gained some weight over the years, and that'll put your pressure up We have to put you on a planet mechanism to help to bring your weight down. "Just had to Teo. Oh, I was just going to say something. A Suffolk man from Melville actually just got busted. He ran up to $100 million Ponzi scheme whose name was Gregory Altieri. He falsely promised high rates of return. Investments in wholesale jewelry prices. I mean, these are people who are living off of, you know pensioners and things like that. Oh, it's bad. $200 million. Oh, there's lots of Ponzi scheme is out there. What is that? CNBC. Siri's, which is about These guys, these white collar criminals who are con men, grifters and they're able to. Oh, I don't know, but it sounds delicious. I forget the name of it very popular show very popular show but anyway Ah, when you're talking of life and death, financial situations, we've got to talk about what else she allowed Crazy, was referring to when she said people needed to rob in order to pay rent. Andrew Cuomo straightened there out and said, Hey, look, nobody said to pay rent here for like, four months. You think that she would know that given the fact that she is representative of this area didn't fit her narrative, But it led me to ask you the question earlier today, and I want to ask our entire audience. We're halfway to July. It'll soon be August 1st, which would generally be the day you would pay your rent residential commercial that don't mean five months since the lock down. Many people have either been unable apparent. Or they've used it as an excuse not to pay rent. And I'm wondering what are the owner and operator to these properties doing Because every month they get two bills for electricity, cash water, they can turn it off. Ah, they have to pay the taxes property taxes, although that's been pushed off for a while, But I would imagine Morgan company mortgage companies they're giving people breaks or maybe allowing them to delay their payments. Well, let's find out out there, whether you're a small mom and pop owner operator of apartments or buildings or a building in which you are getting rentable income. Or your mid level size, you know where maybe have a few different buildings. What are you doing out there Trying to make ends meet when your tenants whether they signed a lease or they pay rent. Just not producing it, whether it's legitimate or not legitimate and what happens when they're packing up and leaving. There's so many moving vans. You're in town. What What? What are your prospects were trying to fill the empty space which without which You're in a jam because you're not developing any rentable Lisa ble income. It's just a horrible, vicious circle. 20 million people lost their jobs in March and April, and we're at 11.1% unemployment. So there are a lot of people that are going through this right now, including many of our listeners. I'm sure What is it specifically, Ladies and gentlemen that you do to stay afloat because not enough time either in radio on television in print. Is spent talking about the plight. Of the evil landlord, Because, you know, according to the peace of the world, the landlords are evil. They put their beak in the trough. They have plenty of money, not necessarily. I mean, if you're talking about Silverstein, or, you know, rock rose or trump if they've got a lot of money, Yeah, but when you're talking about Erica Huddy She's got. My mother has one little property that she saved she because she bought it for an investment, and she lives off of the the monthly rent that she makes on it, and she lives in a small little apartment. She can't even live in that apartment because she just doesn't have the money. I thought if Nancy kicked me to the curb since your mother is always face book messaging me that she was going to be my sugar Mama. You mean I told she owned a series of luxury condo towers, Okay. No, no, no, no, I had the wrong honey, huh? There's no honey that is that wealthy and trust me. Numbers 1 808 for a W A B. C. Let's go to Mike in Rego Park. Welcome, Mike. Oh, I just love you guys. Thank you very much for taking my calls next time. Curtis, do me a big favor when you go and see that he does. So from Park Slope. Well, what it is, she had not curse cannot curse. Thank you for your call. Mike. Think it seems for once in which you found is on loan from the Marshal's been shown busted dealing with hillbillies from across the country. Do you tell them that? What do you say? When you answer the phone. I'm curious about this habit. And I'm very, very curt because there's a really, really high volume, of course. But yeah, they should know by now not to curse and you know, I think they're just so passionate about the topic. Know that it's true. I mean, if your owner and operator of a building I'm just I'm just imagining just a fuel bill alone. You haven't seen the big oil trucks come up, and then the guy like leaves the boot off having a look at some of those built holy. Here's the thing. Here's the thing that AOC doesn't quite want to understand. She is not a stupid woman she understands, but she doesn't want to face it. There are a lot of people who have invested their money wisely and worked very hard for that money and they invest in property and they start making a little money on it, and they may not have the trump level. Massive apartment buildings or you know these these huge complexes, But they have a couple, maybe 34 They're not all you know these these horrible people that are trying to rip you off their moms and pops and just regular folks who have a little money coming inside. Maybe that helps them make money. And you mean that's why this whole You're not going to pay your rent. I know somebody starts doing that to my mother, which the woman hasn't. She's been very good, but I'm gonna walk over there and start kicking the door in It's incredible. Anyway, Let's go to AA media who's calling? Ahh, Welcome to Curtis and Jet Set. Juliet Anita Yes. I'll tell you defending. I'm defending rich and blaming the only button you're hitting is your belly button power. But look at this. Look at look at the board, which will then be called crazy. Like assaulting, which is they keep calling back and back, and he keeps dumping them because they don't have that hillbilly Kentucky West Virginia action that he's so looked forward to any screens from the mark of injury. But anyway, there's a number of Colin Shell. Let's go. TJ in Brooklyn. Welcome to W A. B. C. J. It is honor to talk to you both again. I mean, you think you got together with all of his other billionaire friends, all of these people who sucked off the teat of the country's taxes. When they got their bailout money, which they really didn't really deserve. This is an enormous amount of money. Individuals don't have this kind of money. You gotta printed up the Federal Reserve.
