"Great Jersey beach. That doesn't cost you a dime. And if you lose a dime, you can go there. I got married there. All right. So we're talking about athletes who died young 42 years ago. Tonight we lost Thurman Munson and I know Oh, my God. 42 Years ago, Thurman Munson, the Yankee legend. Who are the athlete deaths that shook you to your core? When you found out Rob's got a great one in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, one at 1.5 Robbo. Steve, How are you tonight, Buddy? Pal, How are you? Good. Good. Good to talk. The A few months I called in But you stole my thunder today, But then I thought of your own brown. Wow. 27 with the Corvette accident shop Philadelphia He had his nephew in the car, right? Yeah, I think it was a young kid. Maybe 12. So, yeah, Something like that. And good Not there was a Pennsauken. Five crew and I went to high scored. Billy Greg's right. And he was killed in a Lexus in Miami. Uh, not too many people know ability, Briggs, but he was really outstanding character and a great great guy when you lose him that young and you know what your own brown I remember talking NFL films who did the wretched your own piece on the football life. And, you know, he was just a fine love and Jerome Brown was a big kid and who loved life who loved football. Philadelphia loved him and what I remember about that. And that was that day he dies. And then that night, Reggie Brown because people don't understand what was going on. And Reggie White was losing it. There was like a Billy Graham rally or something. And Reggie Wright was losing it at the rally, and I'm like, what's going on? What's you know he's really an emotional And it was the day that your own brown died. If you ever get the chance if you have the NFL network, Watch the football life with Jerome Brown, Reggie White 1 800 to 831 or 1.5 You talk about the celebrity deaths that affect you. And we've done that so many times when an athlete dies. Especially when an athlete dies Young when an athlete dies while playing. It really sucks the life, Eddie. You know, these guys are legends. Um, and you seem to think That they're invincible. You know, because they're champions on the court, their champions on the field and this could never happen to them. I'll give you one going way back. And I never saw this guy play. I was too young but Brian Piccolo You may never seen Brian Piccolo play. But if you watch Brian's song, you're gonna cry your eyes out for that guy. And you know, either the James Caan one with Billy Dee Williams and James Caan, and they're running around the track and Shelly February in your life. Today. From what I understand he would have been cured in the office. Had he gone and he died of lung cancer. Had he gone in today with what he had, then they've come so far. So when you know when you make your donations to the American Cancer Society And you know one thing I do with the money. Well, they're going to advance the ball. They're going to advance the cause and they're going to come up with cures. May not be the total cure, but they just keep taking steps making strides, and that's why you need to just keep giving Stevens in Rockaway, New Jersey one on 1.5, Steve all Hey, Steve, How are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm great. Thank you. I like that. He's great. Calling about Payne Stewart. Oh, that was what 19 nineties 99, Right. I remember that I would say about then. Yeah, I don't recall the plane crash, but Yep. Yep. Personal plane or private plane went down. Came and all the people on it Your ring or something? They officiated and the plane just crashed out there and, you know, cornfield somewhere. Oh, my God. You were a big Payne Stewart fan. I was. He was such a gentleman. I The reason I called is I just want to bring up thing that the sports people never really bring up. He was in the President's Cup. He was playing with Colin Montgomerie, right? The U. S fans were really ripping on Colin. I mean, just brutal, ugly right comments are making He had about a 50 ft putt to halve the hole with Payne Stewart Payne Stewart made him put it Pain store would have one invested his personal record. At this point. The U. S. Had already won the president's government, Payne Stewart said. Pick it up. We have and have that match with him on a 50 ft putt because of what The public was doing the Colin Montgomerie What a class act. There's no Yeah What a class act exactly. There's nobody like him in the world as far as that's concerned. God, That is a great story. Anything I need to be a gentleman is sport. Yeah. And you know what we need to. We need to get back to that. You know, we got the trash talking and all that is, uh, you know, really, it is what it is, and you know what it is, but to get back to class, act an athlete and paints through it. I know that story. That's a great story. Oh, yeah, yeah. No, it really is, um All I can say it was a class act and we need more of that. I mean, I Real quick. I think that the major problem in sports today is these people and athletes have come out. They don't understand it Like it or not. There are quasi hero to a lot of young people. Yeah, We need to act like it. Well, you know you have a site on for that, but that's the truth of the matter. No, you're right. I remember when Charles Barkley said I'm not a role model and back then, but but he thought about that and you know, and I was lucky enough to know Charles Barkley. When he played for the Sixers, he would go he would hang out at the gym. Such a great guy, and today probably the closest thing to Muhammad Ali and being able to say whatever he wants to say and being the most honest about it. And you know, he looks back on it and realizes that he is a role model and the athletes when you're young, you got to remember these guys when they're 21 22 23 will think about you when you were 21 22 23 You know, wisdom comes with age and hopefully they acquire it. But you got to. You got to be able to listen and you gotta have coaches able to teach that kind of wisdom and the players got to be receptive. The problem today, Steve is that they're not as receptive as they used to be. You know when when the culture is making more than you and you are making a lot of money, and you cared about the job today. The player make so much money that if he don't like what the coach says he goes and gets the coach fired. Okay with that comment, you can all go away back to Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson. Exactly in the dugout. Basic. Billy Martin. You don't make what I make. Who the hell are you to tell me what to do. Uh huh. Exactly Right, and Reggie Jackson still working for the Yankees. You know, And of course, we lost Bill and Billie kept coming back. But yeah, but now it's on a much higher scale. Look at the NBA who's one in the league. The players are running the league, right? Yeah, totally different thing. 18 under 2831 on 1.5 Give me an athlete whose death really affected you. We are the Garden State's wake up.

"And it's It's not all just easy, but it's very effective. I know that the studies have shown that especially people that have a hard time being compliant with the C pap that they get their snoring, their sleep apnea issues taken care of by this aural appliance. It does that it is very effective. And the funny thing is, I usually hear back more frequently from the bed partners who say they are getting So much better sleep not as much snoring. They're not worrying about their significant, others stopping breathing. They're not worrying about their help and just overall improvement in quality of life, and I think that's a huge deal. Just getting patients healthy again. Let's talk about why we need to get to taking care of Dr Dasani. I mean, it's it's easy to kind of put a discussion like this off. Who wants to talk about snoring and and the issues. That surrounded But if we ignore this, if we don't get it taken care of talk about some of the things that happened, we could talk about some high profile people. They're no longer with us today because of the fact that they didn't use a treatment to treat their sleep apnea. That's correct. You know, Sleep apnea have been implicated, but a lot of other or just our health conditions. We find patients come back with more high blood pressure, cardiac issues more stroke. Alzheimer's disease, depression. Now we all know about Reggie White, who played for the Green Bay papers and he could have sleep apnea did have a CPAP just chose not to use it that night. When he had a fatal episode. And could it have been avoided? Possibly so, And we just do not want to have this happen with so many other people who cannot.

"UK and Ireland enjoying the program on sky sports Peter king in for a second straight day near not bail out on me after having to deal with me yesterday thank you for that St still on vacation who knows when I'll be back but Peter great to see you as always that some fun so far it'll spirited Jamis Winston discussion let's see if we can have a spirited Tom Brady discussion Hey look you know I is somebody sent me a a video from NFL network yesterday saying Hey here's why Robert Kraft did what he did and here's why the patriots agreed to it and I'm thinking to myself it's February tenth four weeks ago I interviewed crafted he explain why he did what he did what what what is the what what what do you mean here's why he did what he did I got an interview with crap I'm looking at it right now anyway whatever but I think the biggest thing that ends up happening in cases like this when when Tom Brady you know a mega star is going to go somewhere else everybody in our business sort of has to provide this content and has to give their take on it I understand the way it is but I don't think very much is changed Mike in the last month our last five weeks really when Tom Brady on that night in a in Foxboro it'll basically stood at the podium and sad I'm gonna play football somewhere next year I just don't know where yeah and nobody knows where and look I don't even know if he knows where at this point the question is when will he know when will the patriots know when will the rest of us know and the the the the whole point is this by the time free agency opens if there's a chance it's going to be too late there's a chance that hill no worries gonna go the patriots need to know if he's coming back Peter because they need to find somebody else unless they're just going to hand the ball Jr instead I'm right is an unprecedented array of veteran options available that could be evaporating quickly once the legal tampering window opens on March sixteen so everyone involved in this needs to know yes or no is he coming back to New England before that March sixteen window opens after that that's when it gets a little bit interesting and we touched on this last hour can Tom Brady really pull off a Reggie white type of a free agency tore remember Reggie white the first big free agent he was exempted from the franchise tag because he's one of the named plaintiffs in the in the anti trust lawsuit that paved the way for true free agency released as true as it's ever going to be in the NFL and he went from city to city and town to town and god told him to sign with the Packers so eventually did can Tom Brady really pull that off because you're gonna have teams say Hey Tom we didn't know what you gonna do because we got somebody else lined up and he's going to go somewhere else right Brady's the first domino and it's a big giant domino it's going to help figure out where all these other guys land could he really pull off making eye and will not be the ultimate power moved here making all these teams wait for him to decide what he's gonna do before all these dominos begin to fall you know twenty six years ago next month Mike I was on the plane with Reggie white is agent Jimmy Sexton and and also a friend a Reggie white Terry Galbraith who was a guard that was the Reggie white free agency tour yeah we went to Cleveland he went to Green Bay I got off the plane went to Dallas and you know he he toured everything and I'll never forget in Sports Illustrated when I wrote this big story about basically the Reggie sweepstakes we did sort of an ingenious thing with the cover we had to be one of those foldout covers and you could cut out with scissors the uniform they're all these uniforms and number ninety two on it and you could cut out the uniform of the team that you felt he was going to sign with which was your gas yeah they have the forty Niners in the Browns and you know when the Packers in Washington and all these teams and then you could put whatever you want on the cover with Reggie white it was a riot but that was huge in those days and and you know Mike when you were saying that this thought occurred to me what if Tom Brady who knew that his Tom versus time documentary with Gotham Chopra which was so incredibly good it so well done so inside he knows how good that was and what if he wants to do it again and what if he tells teams listen I'm gonna talk to you what I'm gonna have this little courting period and I'm gonna go around to see all these different teams but and and you know maybe the cameras don't go into the meetings but I just and look I have no idea and I kind of doubt he would do it but I'm saying that's what I thought about when you said could there be this free agency toward remember the grainy footage of Peyton manning you know back in two thousand twelve when he was behind the gate about two hundred yards away in Tempe Arizona at the cardinals complex and your C. M. C. and I'm out there we can was in on just having a conversation hello stock in a wizened on you know for a while that was the biggest story in sports so I don't know what he'll do I don't know what his people will do but again you ask me the over under teams in on me when I think it's over one point five and you know I said under the time because I thought this would all be figured out ahead of time but as you explain and as I remember the full depth and breadth of the Reggie white free agency tour Tom Brady was sixteen years old at the time probably reading the Sports Illustrated article that you wrote with that followed out hoping that maybe he'd come do the forty Niners Tom Brady's favorite team growing up and then his top rival for the entire time of his career had that red carpet treatment everywhere he went they lined up out the door for Peyton manning who was coming off of for next surgeries Peter they still couldn't get enough of top Peyton manning you combine those two our and you look at how Tom Brady has has behavior last month I'm not passing judgment I'm not saying he's in the wrong here hello if you've got the juice if you've got the power and you've waited twenty years to get to this point and this is part of your of the beginning of the end of your career if you can start the final few years of your career with an unprecedented free agency extravaganza where you do all teams where you do take cameras with you where it makes Reggie white and Peyton manning look like small potatoes there's going to be a strong temptation to do it right yeah a I well I mean I just remember Tom versus time and I just you know to me it was like curb your enthusiasm where every week I'm on my I'm on you know pins and needles waiting for the next episode you know and and I was that's the way I was with that Tom versus time thing it was so good so timely so interesting because it just showed sides of Brady that you just never saw before because he never let a camera in and and I just feel like and again I have no idea what is going to happen but I just think that Brady is kind of a modern guy when it comes to that way a modern communicator and when he owned his own content in the Tom versus time saying I mean it worked out pretty well for him and I think it changed the image that a lot of people had of him all right so Peter I I I think that what we have here in this is been a far more useful discussion that I ever would have envisioned but when you consider his history NFL history his rivalry with Peyton manning and everything that we seem like so much is kind of hiding in plain sight with this there's two faces yeah is he going to go back to the patriots that's phase one I think as a practical matter that's the ship then has to sail before March the sixteenth you either side of the patriots or you embark on the Reggie white Peyton manning free agency tour I don't think the patriots are still in play once the boats out of the harbor do you agree with me on that probably probably but I can I I'm just gonna say this might I don't think in this particular case that anything is set in stone but I do have a pretty good feeling that will probably get to March twelfth and thirteenth and know if there's any chance he's going to go back to the patriots and and it's been reported you mention this before the program Adam Schefter said that the patriots won a now before free agency begins because that that's when and if it's not the start of free agency it's March sixteen the legal tampering because what happens I mentioned this before but you need to understand this folks what happens is teams will start calling agency immediately they've got their list of positions where they're looking for players they have their ranking one through however many and they call the first guy and they say here's our offer for your client yes or no I need to know right now why do you need no right now because we're moving on to the next guy if you say no before that guy agrees to terms with someone else that's how quickly it all moves and the patriots if they're gonna have to replace Tom Brady get unless they're fine with Jared Stidham if the flow chart for New England Peter is very simple Tom Brady yes then we haven't Tom Brady no it's shared Stidham they could wait for Tom Brady if that's the case but if they want to go out and sign someone they they is you know they they're not gonna want to wait around for Tom Brady to make a decision unless they decide to you know and then there's a chance the Tom Brady causes the whole process because the imports the quarterback position maybe everybody who has a shot at Tom Brady just just tables everything you get a moratorium on all quarterback contracts until Brady picks a team I mean anything's possible Mike and and it's also possible that you know by Brady picking a team it's possible to me that that only exacerbates the process because what happens if he picks of the Los Vegas raiders N. and now all of a sudden that you know if the raiders could not convince Derek Carr to be a good soldier and to sit for a couple of years and I doubt they would anyway they probably just let him go or try to get some from forum obviously.

"Safety interview I'm back in the day I used interview Reggie white once a week that's my guy I used to I used to talk my guy Reggie ever we here we did Reggie white and then I did Terrell Buckley I did a book I did two Bucks corner and so I went to Green Bay a couple times to do those things but never never been to a Packer game. ever been to Lambeau field in M. my goodness every time the Broncos have been there I've tried to wiggle my way into a trip and it's just it's just never worked out just never worked out yet you know what's interesting is I dig into a little bit of the Packers and the comparison between the Packers and the Broncos. backs are probably you know when you talk about the Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers is that guy he is that guy he's been a gap for a long time after two games. after two games Aaron Rodgers is forty of sixty four. four hundred and twelve yards and three touchdowns. Joe Flacco is fifty five for eighty one five hundred and eighty yards two touchdowns and one pick. not a lot of difference there. no it if you're if you're looking for a reaction out of me I think the world of Joe Flacco I'm I'm you get. I think the world of Joe Flacco. I'm just happy that he's he's here in Denver and when we can make some plays on defense to match what they're doing on offense we're going to be good. gonna be good can we scored thirty plus points a game yes yes we can but we have to have the right play call we have to have the right set of circumstances that gives us a chance to press the ball down the field we got a we don't we can we can't be one of those teams that is saying to the rest of the NFL were five out. we're not that good. we're not that good we have a back up right tackle planning efforts one James will play great last weekend and we have a left tackle struggling. you cannot have five out in the route with those kind of situations. so don't do it and protect and it's going to be three in a row out sometime to win the route and those guys that are are are. black interior release late into the route as a dump off guys but we're not we we should never be a five out to me. do you feel I mean do you feel good about do you feel good about what. the chances are in this game for the Denver Broncos because look you you see the point spread right now is a little less than a touchdown it's not a good seven and a half now is it seven and a half now yeah okay here's which I I would expect when you're going into a hostile environment I know way game and you started the season I want to I would expect that to happen both teams average in the same amount of points. they're both averaging fifteen points so far in the two games of the season. Broncos have faced a two tough teams getting into this game against Green Bay. I actually don't feel as as. I feel a little bit better about them going into Green Bay in playing the Packers and I do it what they did against the Chicago Bears yeah I mean the last time we saw the Packers we played in my home yeah that was a great game for us it was a twenty nine ten game and we may Aaron Rodgers look no less than average ME Aaron Rodgers had one of his worst game the last time the Broncos and the and the and the the Broncos and the Packers played each other Brett Farr was at twenty two attempts with fourteen completions for seventy seven yards for a average of three point five yards a pass okay and he was sacked three times and he had a quarterback rating of sixty nine point seven that's the last time the Broncos played the Green Bay Packers in Denver there was also a Superbowl year and Peyton manning was only other sat where he was twenty one of twenty nine for three hundred and forty yards eleven point seven per per catch he had no touchdowns in a game an interception about a quarterback rating of ninety six point nine. and you know it was it was it was a day that we really held things down the the second leading rusher for the Green Bay Packers was Aaron Rodgers who took off running twice for thirty one yards that help their average but I remember that gain CJ Anderson had a blow out gave me Raffles four hundred and one yards on fourteen attempts Ronnie Hillman even had a solid game with nineteen attempts for sixty yards and that would between those two guys they had three touchdowns so. I remember the game it's not like they're unbeatable but the quarterback is the same guy that can be Superman you can also be you know just a normal person out there who could be a normal struggling quarterback and certainly nobody would think that. Aaron Rodgers couldn't plate after having a day against the Broncos as fourteen to twenty two with seventy seven yards but the one difference in that game. the real difference in that game. was way Phillips. Wade Phillips never let Aaron Rodgers get comfortable he kept bringing he can help bring in the help bring in heat it was just an amazing game plan and he put Chris Harris and the key to leave out there and that's of course the market we're gonna have to ask ourselves is Isaac yeah I'm ready to go out there and play man to man like a key to lead it or do we have to go ahead make a change there. it's a big question mark. our country needs stories that's coming up next it's big gala judge on the voice of Colorado K. away. we got ourselves prejudice got clearly felt by seventy eight your two.

"Giants Rosser has like why not why not let Reggie White get some more reps and see what he can do. I don't see the downside in keeping him over over someone like Ovando Russell Alonzo Russell Russell Shepherd you know what those guys are so so why not allow Reggie white to have some more run with with the offense in training camp and see if he can produce because really you you have nothing to lose at this point but I'll go back to the two guys they he did sign because I think right now they might be there to best receivers outside of Tate and shepherd so I have been very vocally the fan of Ombu editor since before he came out in the drought when I was first doing dress up for bid we've you I was doing some draft. Videos on editor was someone when I highlighted as a late round guy. I liked a lot. He someone target yards added like a lot. which if you've been listening to these podcasts in our draft podcasts especially metric had that separates college wide receiver from their offense and editor came out very well in that nice with the giants he's been on the practice squad? He's bounce around a little bit played in the AF last year but I think he's someone who has has good deep spe- I think he can get open an down the field I think he's a much better route runner than a deep threat label would give him credit for and to go back to last year and we were going in training camp. He had a real good training camp last year for the most part and we were all asked to as a big review staff to make a bold prediction for the twenty eight season have my prediction was that on the editorial finish the season as the giants number three wide receiver so that was a complete swinging Amiss yes. He didn't even make the fifty three coming out of training camp because so that was a huge swing and miss as it bold prediction but you can see 'em high on the editor so I think if he is able to stay healthy which has also been a problem in his career so far if he's able to stay healthy and you can get on the field I think he can he can eat. I mean he's not going to step in and be like a number one and number two but as that guy you could rotate third wide receiver. I think he can be there and then as we move to T._J.. Jones that's kind of been his role also far throughout his career with the lions. He is only twenty seven years old. He's been a productive wide receiver and we got twenty. Six targets last year. Fifteen Games started three but he's a d._v._d.. Way Per football outsiders was didn't qualify for the full list of qualified receivers but of what he had was is going to be around like the thirty third wide receiver by Devi away which is per play efficiency so that's not terrible in twenty seventeen when he had had forty nine targets he was thirty first in Devi away so he does have that ability..

Also, you saw the Washington federals, use those use that color slid on who they. Old USFL tape. Okay. The best uniforms, from the there are so many good uniforms in the US. F L go dig up the Memphis showboats next time you get a chance to that all. How about that? Reggie White war. Those wants to tell you my rant silver vary Ohio State, but a little shed this with you before. Dave, it was a team in the world league of American football which preceded NFL Europe called the Orlando thunder, who. I did have got somewhat like a whole pocket of highlight is and, and filled themselves to it's too much. I don't mind go too far. Not seem like an old guy because I'm not an old curmudgeon spaghetti. I'm open mind and open eyeballed about it. I like that. The Seattle Seahawks have as trim the neon green it go. You can't overuse it. I liked that, that kind of. Right. It belongs to the Pacific north west as a whole. Now that Oregon wears that they, they inject some of that. The -til is closed at the mayor. And Scott Mitchell took it to you. Yeah, it's not good too much. You have a good. I can give you a good color scheme from a throwback uniform will be the Houston Oilers the light blue blue with the red. And the white is probably the best Mataya wore those for a few seasons, those throwbacks member like Shari until, like Chris Johnson jersey in that color scheme. That's very, very good. Well, it's that was one of those funny oxymorons to that happens when franchises move from one city, and they don't modify the name like the, you know, the most famous is the Lakers in Los Angeles, where there are no lakes, Utah Jazz, where there's no jazz. Is. Is that the titans? I mean, I'm sorry, the Oilers moved from Houston where that made sense to Tennessee, and they stayed the Tennessee Oilers for at least one year. Yeah. The Tennessee Oilers oil that was very strange here to the here. Now, though, handsome. Yes. Who do you think is the most handsome of the human based mascots not, not like the Steelers and Packers don't have a representation of what the guy looks like the Steeler or they pack Steelers of stealing being? Now, I don't like a guy like you know, stealing no, no, no. As I've said many times before stealing MC beam actually looks like Adam Corolla. Jaundice. What of the existing ones handsome here that here your nominee because the raiders yet who I it. Rugged. No, I always compliment him because he's you know he's a pie shape. That's what a raider is right? He's, he's going out as always, you know, he's no stranger to some tough times. He lost an eyeball after. He's got an I patch. That was a birth defect. We can assume that happened in battle somewhere when he was out pillaging, but before he goes out for his day of Nair dwelling. He always respects himself and the people, he's going to interact with enough that he says, I, I needed nice clean shave, and I like and us feel like he's kind of amused. These little Mona Lisa's. And he you know, he's not exactly smiling. If you give them a good luck easy, just so, yeah, he'll fi his his, I will follow you everywhere in the room. That's right. Or give the Minnesota Viking flaxen-haired pony. I mean. Ponytailed. No, not by that opponent, braided hair, braided raided blonde hair and a blonde. Fu Manchu kind of biker a static. Yeah. He's. I just I don't feel like the Rada. I feel like I would get on pretty well. Well, you would I this guy looks angry. The Vikings guy his, his, his face is set. He looking cross about something. Yeah, I know. And he's trying to look tough. But does he go too far? Goes to you. Haven't even game. Yet, light doesn't seem approachable. Yeah. And yet he's got. He's got that, that pretty hair. He does pretty high. He's yeah. He's a paradox. He also has a lot of eyebrow. Spaghetti the old buccaneers logo..

"Strap I know your love and before we're going to jump into this. Let me just quickly say that. I watched it on Sunday morning, and you go back to the nineteen eighty nine draft the nineteen Eighty-nine draft the top five picks in the draft. Four went to the hall of fame was Troy Aikman. Barry sanders. Johnson sanders. Sanders and Dion. No, no. It was berry Sanders. Sanders. Troy, Aikman Dion Sanders and Derrick Thomas, I believe Thomas, the number two pick in that draft was twenty manage on a Michigan state. And so the the first five picks four went to the hall of fame twenty mandates considered one of the big bus in the draft. His e sixty story was on Sunday. If you haven't seen it, you gotta watch it of what this guy was when he came out of Michigan saves coached by or the system. Coach Michigan safe that point was Nick Sabin. Correct. Nick Saban is interviewed in this of when he started to do steroids in quite honestly, it wasn't even the steroids that cost him a lot of years. It was what he got hooked on after that with the opioids and stuff, but his his self honesty. Correct was incredible in this. He didn't blame anybody else for all the things. He didn't a lot of times you see that nowadays. Well, this guy that he took it all on himself a four year hiatus after Green Bay finished up his career in Indianapolis. And why he left the? A game of what he could assigned for and why he left his incredible. And what he's doing right now. It's an unreal is trying to get him in the next couple of days to get him on. I played against him. When he was with the Packers. And it was part of that was that game when Reggie White just just really abused him. But it's an incredible piece on a guy who really hit the hit the lows is bringing it back. He the great thing about that. He was asked several times what happened. He said. It was me they they wanted to help me. I didn't I didn't wanna hear answers the fact that he owned it wasn't credible. Really only did actually come heavy serviceable. Did you went inside played guard, and it was a much better career? So when you look at the great bus and talk about Ryan leaf and jamarcus Russell, they never went back and head any symbols of Mandra. He turned around. So that's a great thing. You really should check into that. But we're we're focusing on this year's draft now. And of course, the giants are one of those teams along with the raiders who have three in the Packers who have a couple that really could dictate what happens in the draft because they have multiple first round picks. So there's all kind of mock drafts out there from our friends Mellon. Todd will join us a little bit later this morning, basically saying Dwayne Haskins would be a great fit for the giants with six pick overall. But Mel over the weekend on Dorian Melania's radio says they are really zeroing in on a quarterback, and they may take him with the sixth overall pick talked to somebody that I respect that it had one in the league as a Super Bowl ring and is longer than the league. But this keeps in touch with everybody said don't be shocked at the giants. Take Jones at six if you feel he's a franchise quarterback. And he is as you say number one. Quarterback in this draft. Why are you waiting? Why are you waiting? Maybe you lose him at seventeen. I was told don't sleep on that that the giants defensive player Christian Wilkins at Oliver defensive tackles. Maybe there's a little a curveball thrown Jones goes at six if he doesn't go six than at seventeen giants weight or do they aggressively move up to get Daniel Jones if they are the team to feel the best quarterback in the draft. And we don't know that that's been speculation out there that Jones is there, Chris Merrill left. The owners meeting to go to the pro day of Daniel Jones ally. Manning Peyton Manning connection with David and David Cutlip coached and developed Daniel Jones. So everything fits that. Jones. Maybe is linked to the giants for a reason. Listen, this is fascinating. And let me just say this if they're evil the giants evil is that they believe Daniel Jones is the best quarterback for what they wanna do. Go get him. Well, go all in that. Exactly. Right. I remember going back to when the dolphins. We're talking about taking Ryan tannehill. And everybody was kind of like what what are you doing? That's where I really sank into me. Ron your sqi had said, listen, if that's your guy, and it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks if that's your evaluation, and that your guy what does it matter when you take them if you think he is your future quarterback? And obviously they were wrong with that. But the thought process is that then you take him and this would be a bit of a gamble or something if they tried to wait to seventeen with the other teams that need quarterbacks as well. To take him number six, and this is one of those were it's an opinion is of my opinion. That would be a large mistake. I think Haskins is the best quarterback in this draft. If you're going. To take one. I think that would be the guy to take. But they don't care what I think, you know, they do. They're only Val. They they have their own grading system. And if you think Daniel Jones is a franchise quarterback, and you gotta get him. That's fine. Thing would be evaluated quarterbacks better. Oh, I agree. That's the thing is we we do say that like, yeah. You know that your grade you go ahead and take them. Well, yeah. Then you have to be a little concern in a lot of these cases about who's doing the grading in these situations with Ryan tannehill. The injury stuff. Kinda makes it an imperfect sample with him for the most part. Daniel Jones is become a popular source of slander. Because a lot of people think he's gonna get overdrafted like the production, certainly not there his tapes, not awful, not he's now awful. He's not a high first rounder. And so that's where the discord isn't a lot of this. But he's not awful. But man, this reeks the patriots get what we want get exactly what they want the mid. The patriots are talking about thinking. Daniel Jones could be interesting to them. People are gonna start to reach even more like they're they're playing forty chats with everybody's brains right now, this feels like patriots troll. Maybe maybe does. But I'll tell you that the giants have been from everything we've heard the giants have been all in on Daniel Jones or or very interested in Daniel Jones for a long. Regardless irregardless of what the patriots interest in. Daniel Jones would be literally from the start of this process. Everything that we've heard they sort of favored this guy was just a question of would they waited seventeen how they're going to do it. This has been the guy that's been associated quarterback wise with the giants really since the beginning of this and to then back to your point, Mike. How's your quarterback evaluation because that's also remember quarterbacks in a first onto fifty fifty shop? So, you know, while you're almost every -sition is of the guys that you should have the best evils on is your first rounders that's been a fifty fifty shot. So again, if that's guy, and you're right, Trey they have we have heard again, what you hear how much do you take for seriously? But that is what we've heard Gettleman definitely likes lines of scrimmage both lines and bigger quarterbacks. And Daniel Jones fixed six five he's probably to twenty to twenty five now Haskins. It's not like he's small. No. A good size quarterback as well. So this would just be one of those. I mean, I would completely disagree with the chance to take both those quarterbacks and you to choose Daniel Jones overdoing Haskins, then I personally think into mistake. But again, they aren't asking me. It would be a major over Jeff this portion of the year when we talk about all the lying and jockeying for position. It's so teams do things like this potentially reach on certain guys spend too much draft Capital One spots undercut what you're trying to do. And a lot of other positions later in the draft. Exactly. Right. And again, this would not be the first time the giants would have gone down a Duke quarterback in the draft in nineteen Ninety-two. They drafted Dave Brown as the top pick in the supplemental draft of nineteen ninety two. I think he also wore number seventeen Daniel Jones where seventeen if I'm not looking at that. So there you go see it all the conflicts of things come together to make make all centers around quota for the day, go, we'll see if it all works out. But again. Mel is hearing that Daniel Jones the quarterback that the giants really have their eye on coming up the Celtics. Finally, who we thought they were when the season started..

"For being able to take a chance and do those things. Now, let's get back today f year I didn't play football this year. I didn't make a ton of money. I'm not playing in the af for one hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year, but I'll play for twenty million dollars a year. I put myself in Collins jus, I take twenty million throw twenty million out of he'll go back in there. And you know, what he'll do he'll dominate that league. Well, the the other leagues that have come around. We're talking about Joe Nemeth in the AFL all the way back in the day. The other leagues that have come around. Reggie White was drafted into the USFL. Now, the Ellen and make it, but there were a bunch of players that were paid big money Herschel Walker among them Reggie White to go into the USFL. When it started does the af in order to have any legs. Do they have to get some star power and Ken they? Well, if they want true legitimacy, I think they do. I don't think that's going to be the end game for them. I still think the best play for them is to understand. Hey, we're going to be a developmentally we need to take these guys from college a couple of guys from the from the practice squad. I don't know if they really want the veterans that have been around four five six seven years to come to their league. Anyways, that's great for a jump start for this league this year. But I think their endgame is really truly to be at developmental league. Maybe for some guys that don't wanna spend three years of college. Maybe wanna get some scratch and start learning a pro game a little bit Sooners. I vision that as being the true af if they start trying to trying to get stores, they can't compete with the NFL that that would be a bad choice by them to try and make that their business model sort of a a minor league for the National Football League undrafted free agents and young players. Maybe a player that might have washed out with a knee injury at twenty six twenty seven. And is trying to come back at twenty eight. But otherwise the league would skew quite a bit younger, and you can you can make some excitement with that. If you start pulling some guys from college and from with a little bit a hype coming out of high school, imagine if they got a player who went to college for one year and was a star and said, you know, what I'm going to try this af for two years and they play a minimum amount of games. I don't know if you're more at risk to get hurt and college or if you're more at risk to get hurt. Af maybe that's the decision. People start making down the road here. I see that as being the exciting side about the I'm watching these young guys will these guys be the next crop guys that go into the NFL go into an NFL draft up to me is exciting. Some of those some of those players that have done that in the past have come from the arena football league. Kurt Warner made started to to make a name for himself, and there have been others that came for the arena football. It's the second weekend of the af I don't have any accent on my DVR. I'm not actually planning and how much how much Rena ball. Did you watch? Kurt warner. I didn't did you know he was a arena ball not his first game Nantou after we wanna Super Bowl. We didn't hear that story until going into the Super Bowl. So that, but that's what everybody has to get a break. Everybody has to get a start..

"Was actually he wanted to do that today. I don't know why I felt bad for a second until he was really trying. No, no, no, no. He wants to do that. We've got a long list of mistakes at the Super Bowl by paulie. He said to clay Matthews. I'm going to block you in clay Matthews. Hit him in the chest. It gave him that stab you tried to tackle Adrian Peterson and Matt forte. They smacked him in the head. I'm impressed. Yeah. Never smart. Sees get degrees. This is what I know. I'm out of shape them, actually, really. Yeah. You are good. No. It's not. No. It's not. All right. So final fifteen for the hall of fame. Now, I do want to point this out only because people think that we known each other forever. I'd never I don't think I ever met you before until recently. And I just said look, I know what I saw when I saw you play. And I thought you were there was something different. There was athleticism. You're a great player. Now, the window that you played is probably what if it does keep you out of the hall of fame would be the long near the amount of time you, but when you played when you played it at a high level on your healthy. There was no other tackle that. I saw that was better than you. And I'm talking about Anthony moon news. I'm talking about the greats of the game. So I don't I don't know you. But I know when I see a hall of Famer, and I look at you the way I do trail Davis. Now, he won Super Bowls and won an MVP rush for two thousand yards. But there's no real number. I can attach to a tackle to say. Well, but he did this. And I hope you get into the whole. Fame. I hope you get the call, and they tell you one Saturday that you're in the hall of fame. I appreciate it. I mean, it's the it's one of those things you're not playing anymore. There's nothing I can do about it. But it's the ultimate individual honor. And my career is what it was. I got hurt. Davis. Did I think when he got in that mental lot? Yeah. A long before you mentioned me in your hall of fame speech. Like how I usually show up a little later. Probably I think how long do I have. I mean long. I'm not going to be like the forty five minute where you go on your whole life story. So let's say fifteen minutes when do I get mentioned eleven and a half to twelve I like it. Where it's emotional, emotional tears. Now, you cry mentioning me or your family? Well, I think it's a carry over from my mom and dad to wife and kids, then you the tears are continuing the. And if you just say, Dan, we did it. Like, then I'm fine with that too. Like, it doesn't have to be a big day. Dan, Patrick, how about some like damn without you? I'm not sure this day. Yeah. I work on that. I'm not I'm not joking here. Like I'd expected like a damn good showdown. Well, the good news is there's a local guy named Dana's. Well, who asked me the same thing. So I think I can kill two birds with one stone just say, Dan in both of you will think that okay, that's part of the deal. I'm fine with that. Tony is the lead analyst for Thursday night football and Westwood One. And you're going to be on the sidelines for the Super Bowl. Guess are you nervous? No, okay. Not yet. Saturday. That's the only thing I'm nervous. Okay. And explain this to the audience is I I think it's unfair to you. I really do know I do for the fifteen finalists. Yeah. Because you're all in a room knows actually, we're all at hotel the fly everybody, and I'm here all week because of the radio with Westwood One. But everyone else in your Thursday you event Thursday night. There's a luncheon Friday and then Saturday, you're told just to sit around all day and all forty eight voters go into a room, and they tell you beating your hotel room about three thirty because from three thirty on thirty two five you either get a knock on the door. Meaning you're in the hall thing or a phone call meeting, you're not in the last few years. I've got the phone call. The first year was the worst. Because I was sitting there in the first year actually didn't think I was going to make it a long shot, and I'm sitting there and my wife's there, and I hear a knock on the door. And it was housekeeping. House. Opened the door. And I said as nice as I possibly could we please get the away from leave. And then about thirty seconds later, the phone rang, and they let me know you are not good enough to be in this group. Please go home now. And you belong. Okay. Put a do not disturb. So. Yes. Yes. Okay. So he gets phone call, and it's over and the hard part about the phone call is now they tell you you literally have five minutes to get downstairs the honors because they want all fifteen guys with honors and see. You don't put the suit and tie on and go to the honors and sit there in the best way. I can explain it as you're sitting there. You know, we're all Taipei competitive guys, you, you know, you've always kind of risen to the top and one of the best at what you do. And you it feels like the hall things. Great about Dave Baker does an amazing job. But you feel like they're basically saying you are not good enough you've been cut, and that's the feeling you have because the fifteen guys only five make well, it feels like there's a logjam with linemen this year. So I do think a couple of linemen are getting in. I don't know. Steve hutchinson. Kevin Milwaukee Allen fan. And you said you're better than all of those guys. And I want the best tackle the group. There's no doubt about that. I think paulie here. It's clear. I it feels like they're going to the logjam is going to bring in a couple of linemen. I hope. So I mean, I think that's for sure guys. I mean, Ed Reed and Tony Gonzalez there. They're getting the my guess is your handicapped. Champ Bailey be next. I would agree with that too. And then there's two open spots baby three depending what they do champ. And I think they should be to offense alignment your last year is five offers alignment of the top fifteen. Kobe aged out. You can't be in there any longer now is four of us. So we'll see what happens all great players. I mean, that's our thing. You've got to look at it. And if you don't get last year's haven't gotten in and you wanna be mad at somebody. But then you look at the guys who get in. Oh, Ray Lewis. He doesn't belong at all. How does he get a locker? And so you just kind of go about your business. Who's the best player you ever saw offense defensively the best player like what you just went. Well, you know, there was a couple and I'll say from being young watching these guys growing up. I mean Jonah was my favorite player of all time growing up in Colorado. And so watching him and playing against them. I was like my goodness. And then you beat. The Denver, which was the greatest thing ever watching. Barry Sanders, we played them in ninety five seeing him live. What he was able to do was remarkable and being on the same field. Reggie white. Just the the amount of power and strength. And what he was able to do was unbelievable. So he's on the list of the great players that play. But those guys really stand out as something special. Could you beat up for my guys at the same time? There's not a doubt if we. If we said, you could not leave this carpeted area. I am confident because the couple I take out immediately. Just one punch. They're done. And the other ones I'd have to fight a little bit. Okay. The weakest link. Fritzy, fritzy, probably the weakest link here. Even though he's got big on his arms, the one. I heard talking about like urological issues. Yeah. He's got issues. He's got something going on. There's a lot going on. Yes. Yes. I think I may have allergies. And mclovin. I don't know if I remember the bench press did bench press two hundred pounds two hundred pounds. I could get I've got up to fifteen in my back. Yeah. What's your max? I don't know. But it was a lot more than that though. My shoulders don't even work anymore. And it's still be more than that. They screwed up your shoulder. Didn't they around your surgery? Yeah. Was some mishaps? I think that's unfortunate. That though there's no reason that they go. How is it? How's your shoulder? It's complete crap. So good news. So this is I saw a doctor probably or five years ago about it. Hoping to get it cleaned out. You know, or something athletes those clean it out? Like, you're going to oil changes that will move on. And he said there's nothing I can do. And I said, what do you mean? He says I can give you a new one. We're not doing that. And so until I can't play golf anymore. Okay. I won't play. But that's about all the external. That's about as far as it goes. But I had the knee replaced. Yeah. Have you done that? Now. I got my knees. I hit. Okay. Oh, they've mastered. The hips good. I played golf like three weeks. Yeah. The need takes little. Goes. Well, how does Sunday play out? I have a hard time seeing the patriots loser on the why do you hate the patriot? No, I don't. A lot of friends that you know, they call me going to the games and doing all the games. They said gosh, we hope the patriots were so tired of the patriots. And I think it's easy to take that point of view to me. It's just the opposite. I mean, how often is the greatest Ornstein is in my opinion in my lifetime. If you look at the NFL setup or parody set up for the bad teams be these from draft order from salary cap. Everything is going against the dynasty. And that's why I think is greater than anything that the forty Niners did the Cowboys in the day or the Steelers were Bella chicken Brady of done in this era is the most remarkable thing I've ever seen. They've been together. Now seventeen years of were raised unhealthy nine Super Bowls. This guy. There's this guys in the roster who played in the NFL for eight years and they've been to the championship every year. What are you talking about me? You talk about it. I got it twice. I mean guys never get there. Then a Super Bowl three straight years. Joe tune. He's never played a season of football. The starting left guard without plan the SuperBowl. So I think the I think the a very close game. But I think the patriots this edge out the Rams final question, you can have Julian atamans career or Calvin Johnson's. I'm going Ataman. Okay. I thought about it in the beginning. And then I thought well Calvin Johnson. And then I realized it is probably not going to the hall of fame. No. But you can't tell the story of the NFL without Julian Edelman, you cannot any had two of the most iconic plays in Super Bowl history. And he's not done yet. So I I said edleman, even though my Bank accounts, not going to be the only thing is. I started looking at my financial adviser. Calvin Johnson be pretty nice. But what he's done that'll man on the field. The plan Brady, that'd be awesome. I hope you get the call or the knock on Saturday. It'll be a big portion of it. Because of you. Thank you. Thank you. He's Tony Boselli. Westwood One lead Thursday night analyst, and he will be on the sidelines for the call on Westwood One on Super Bowl Sunday. We're back after this will close up shop. What's story tomorrow? What we learned.

"I would run Aaron Donald I would make sure I have two guys that are very much in sync because he will split a double team and don't try to get them from a backfield he's athletic. And so I think. He's a very disruptive guys. So I cannot let him get into the backfield and be disruptive. He's also can be disruptive in the passing game. So that's one thing that Aaron Tom Brady be aware of where is Aaron. Okay. If I had an open draft no quarterbacks. You got first pick. Right now. Okay. I think I think he's the most disruptive player defensive player there is. And I say that for this reason because I think of the game has become a very quick growing game. We used to talk about edge rushers before. But I think the inside rusher is the quickest spot to a quarterback. And this guy is the most disruptive guy football or the edge rusher. It is strange as it's going to sound can't get there quick enough. Whereas if you have somebody who can go because I think if you beat the patriots, I gotta have strong guys up the middle ravens. Did this the giants when they beat Belichick and Brady I gotta have that. I gotta start there. And if I start there, I feel pretty good because he's gonna make my secondary. Look a whole lot better. What do you think? Oh, absolutely. I mean, I think Donald coming up and try to get him into a one on one match up to what they used to do with Reggie White. You put five guys across the board. And you put Reggie White center. What's the quickest distance between two straight line means Joe green to used to line up? Right. Although center, I'm telling you. Alan page. Those some of those guys are the most disruptive people in the he's a three Don player. And I think to me that's the guy. Final question for coach last time. You were in a fight. Last time. I was gonna fight. Yeah. Man. I was playing I was a player. I thought all the time when I played. Why are we so angry? Because that's how I played. Did you play I played angry? I did I played. I was a different player when I stepped on the field. I had to I wasn't very big. And I wasn't very fast. But I was gonna out will you? And so I had to get manager. I make it personal. I made a personal issue. Have an off the field fight. In college. Not a workout. I always walked away. Okay. Would your chin be an advantage or disadvantage if you? If you were a boxer like you give me a big target there. Right. I don't know. Is it good or bad? Probably not a good thing. But you know, it wasn't always this big. Can take a punch? Oh, yeah. Okay. Paulie, come over here. Dan, there's some people you look at. And you look at like if you punch them he would like laugh, and then punchbag mister car looks like you could be a villain. I think so thanks for the movie. Yeah. I think like a bond villain like your smiles too. Good though. Yeah, we'd have to well. It's kind of there's a Dale Earnhardt senior look a to you as well. I hope they're run that again today. I'd like to see that here. Yeah. So good. He was great. Okay. Squeeze in one or two calls here before we get to the total weekend recall. Let's I gotta I gotta give preference to all calls to Marin county because that's Jared Goff is from Neal is in San Rafael check it in good morning. How are you? Good morning. I I wanted to talk about the clock management in the last two minutes of Ramsgate. They started to refer to it. And then they dropped it a little bit. But, you know, white Peyton what did to have a pass called an incomplete rather than running the ball, and forcing the ramps to us older timeouts, and that is such a big thing. You're all over hosts copes open to show that was one of his top five grievances from the weekend. Yes. Right. And I was curious if the Rams. New Orleans would have run the ball with the Rams would have pulled the Mike Holmgren and let them. You know, I was actually thinking about that for the patriots with the birkhead run because they're about forty five fifty s chiefs let them score because Mahomes can get you down for a field goal. And they did I don't know if they did. But they birkhead did scores. So I almost bought they did especially since there was they were spill outside the two minute warning. Yeah. Neil a good call. Good call. Yeah. Clock management, man. And and Brian Baldinger called out. Thanks for the call. Appreciate neil. Stephen Dublin real quick, Steve. Good morning. How are you? "He should not be compared to LT. It's only fair in the sense. That LT is the greatest linebacker whoever lives. He's also the greatest defensive player who ever lived by the way at his peak nut I grew at his peak by a lot. There's no one who's ever been as as close to valuable defensively as LT, not close not Reggie White. Not Bruce Smith, not Ray Lewis, actually, the closest guy is Dion Sanders. Another guy you shouldn't compare any other corners to because he was just different. But you can't compare and Donald to LT. The sense that betas linebacker river. Or do. He's in the in the argument for greatest defensive tackle ever. He's in that argument. So in that sense when you talk about the basis of all time at their position to do guys. You know? JJ watt was clearly the best defensive player football for a long time. And then for a couple of years it was Donald. And I think when he's on the field Khalil Mack has now taken that from Donald. And the reason I say that is because they don't were things that Khalil Mack. And do a lot of what Aaron Donald can do Donald can't do everything Khalil Mack. Can do. It's like in baseball when I used to hear Derrick. Jeeter was a bad defensive player this other guy. This first basements, a good defensive player. Then why doesn't that guy play shortstop their jeeter? So good defensively. He could play shortstop just wasn't great defensively for a shortstop. Right. Aaron Donald can do all these things for a defensive tackle that other tackles can't do. But if he was as good as Khalil Mack, for example, could he play because Khalil Mack on the inside could he play on the outside? Can you play linebacker? So so Aaron Donald to take nothing away from them is a great defensive player. He may be he's arguably the greatest defensive tackle ever, certainly that I've seen that I've seen, but he is not on Lawrence Taylor's level..

"So it's as a tough dilemma for them. But they're always watching, you know, which quarterback you sacked the most in your career. I think it's probably the locker. Maybe look. Yeah. You got him ten times. Playing twice a year. It's a third batch. Blake Bortles is second on that list. Okay. Yeah. The colts are a little bit different. And Andrew luck. Is you know, they not giving up sacks enemy's comeback player of the year. I don't know you're going to be up for comeback player of the year with you and lock in there. Are you starting to credible job? I mean, I mean what they've been able to accomplish. And obviously goes on. Player. And I think that we all knew that if you could get healthy from. Yeah. Right. Felt the same way after the last couple of years he'll be back to playing the way that he knew he could. And he's been able to do that. He makes quick decisions. It gets the ball out quick. He's he's a great player is Thursday going to be a cheat day. Yes. Very excited about it. My parents. But the cooking out. So I believe I saw that with some before. And he's been known to put the pie before Thanksgiving Day. Anyway. So I make sure it stays out before we get to Thursday. Could you take out a full Turkey yourself? I wouldn't pick the Turkey to be the thing. I fully take out on a thanksgiving table. I think it would definitely be the pie or possibly the mashed potatoes and gravy. Well, happy thanksgiving to you and congrat- so far on the season. Good luck against the titans. And always appreciate your time. Thanks. You guys have a great. They're JJ want Texans defensive in. It'll be up for comeback player of the year. More importantly for him defensive player. The already wanted three times as anybody want it three times in NFL history. Lawrence taylor. Bruce Smith, Reggie White. When it mclovin, I don't think. So I'm not sure how long the awards been around. Okay. Double check that Aaron Donald c have one. We got to figure out. How many he has he'll be chasing him. Yeah. Aaron Donald one at last year. Didn't he but I'm gonna guess that those two and Khalil Mack? It would probably be those three will MAC I heard a little bit. Yeah. But he's still been disrupt. Oh, yeah. Still been incredibly disruptive. But. I don't know if they just look at the numbers because Aaron Donald is going to have the sack totals there. But JJ got ten so far. I don't know what they go. Like if we're looking at the MVP or offense should player of the year. You're looking at numbers. I think numbers are big and that award with sacs if they're gonna see that Aaron Donald number sacks forced fumbles those kind of things. Yes. Boring defensive player of the year. Joe? Greene twice Lawrence Taylor three times, including I got double check. He may have gotten it as a rookie, which is nuts. Bruce Smith has a couple Reggie White. Any it feels like if you've won defensive player of the year at least twenty s you've gone into the hall of fame. That's correct. Reggie White Bruce Smith, Mike single, Terry. Lawrence taylor. Joe green? I mean, I think if you win once you're strong candidate, well is JJ want hall of fame right now. You know, this gets back to, you know, Terrell Davis and gale sayers. Like if you had that short window but productive window. You're a transcendent player. But let's say JJ watt doesn't play after this this season. He get the gale sayers treatment probably or the Terrell Davis treatment if he'll say he could not come back for that last injury. Probably. Yeah. I'm looking to solicit defense players in two thousand six Jason Taylor defense, and he was a first ballot hall of Famer. Well, you had Tom Brady who wrote a letter for Jason Taylor. If you're a voter, and you're going to value something a contribution here to the voting process, and you go, oh who's this letter from? Oh, this is from Tom Brady. And then you know, he has these verbal bouquets with Jason Taylor. That certainly helps we have a few who aren't going in. Bob sanders. Remember him with gas? He just couldn't stay healthy. He was very disruptive. But you know, what you're five nine and two hundred pounds. Thank you. See what about Jane's Harrison two thousand eight former Steeler. Yeah guy. Yeah. He probably won't..

"So he would be on the mount Rushmore. Oh, let's wing makes him out Rushmore less this year when they introduced Ray Lewis into the hall of fame, they're getting introduced Ray and I was standing next to spend a lot of time wealty he's, he's a lot of fun. I was like, LT. He told me in the back, he better than you says, she tell you. Hilti. He's one of the greatest ever. No, Roelant rice, Lawrence Taylor. There's one mount Rushmore spot, open Reggie Brown. Reggie White, Jim Brown spots open. Actually, Jim Brown, Brady rice, Lawrence Taylor. There's you're so out of consideration you, right. That's all I'm gonna say gotta. Consider recipes. Reggie White Dion Sanders. Got love for all y'all. There's there. It is Jill ground last week they might. They might took him off. Hume Brown pants, God bless you. Jim, Jim called me. Late himself all night. Night came von Miller promise to good one good trying to serve. Imprimis to fashion, but whooping candy. And then he went out and delivered a good old fashioned, but whooping Canty the Denver defense picking off Josh Rosen three times bringing two of those back for points in the first quarter. Also at six sacks covered two fumbles. Maybe von Miller, Ken predict the future, Josh Rosen left in the fourth with a toe injury, he'll be valuated Broncos win, big forty, five to ten here is the fortune teller himself on Miller. And I think you know, we have a great football team. We've got great leadership. We've got great GM gray owner, great coaches, and we got great players, and I just don't always missing his just the confidence part of team game. And I know my brothers have my back. I obviously didn't play up to my standard or even close to it. But I mean, that's why you play another one next week. K. this is one of those games were von Miller had enough where he's like, I don't take all your previews throw. I'm getting out there. I will win this game. It is going to be an all ever put yourself in a position like that. You ever have an opponent where just test all the numbers and stats aside. It was just going to be, we're going to go out there and grind it out and win it, nor did that one time even though it worked out for us, I kind of regret doing it. So I called my shot in the Super Bowl. I said everybody in New York get ready for a really good game against the patriots Super Bowl. Forty-six get ready for the parade on Tuesday now, just so happened at worked out, right? I wouldn't do it again. Listen to von Miller said about that. After having those four losses, he was talking about trying to instill a level of confidence in his teammates, and he put it on him and that's the right place for it to be because all the pressure for this Denver Broncos team in order to try to get a win has to fall on his defense. That's clearly the most talented aspect all the time. Display last night. And so that defense got things off to a fast start the deflation by Derek Wolfe. At the line of scrimmage on the second play led to the Davis pick six. They had another pick six with Chris Harrison that first quarter. So I mean when you have two touchdowns by your defense in the first quarter play, that's how you change the complexion of the game. And that was the difference. If you look at those four losses, not a whole lot of offensive touchdowns in the first half of those four losses. So if somebody was going to get the party started for the Broncos ahead to be the defense. And of course von Miller, he was up for the challenge, Nick couple benefits. I know you don't think there's a whole bunch gentle think there's a lot more benefit to work with me on. Have been. The guy says something like that. I happen to be covering this league long enough that I was wanted people to interview Chris Canty now it was after he had already made that prediction. So can't not necessarily tell the whole truth because even after he made that prediction about the parade, you know, I asked him what's the story behind the story that you look at the film, feel Phyllis..

"The list is we came up with Jew breeze to the saints, Reggie White, too the Packers, Greg Maddux to the Braves, Barry Bonds for the giants shock to the Lakers right now breeze leading the way thirty six percent shock to the Lakers twenty six percent. You're Reggie White speech helped eighteen percent. Uh-huh. Thirteen percent, Greg Maddux and only six percents Barry Bonds, parrot bonds. Respect and Madison, Wisconsin. Let's take some phone calls here before yet to four downs. What's up. They're rich first time, longtime, good to talk to you. I think breeze is the one that wins out here just because Katrina what he meant to the city of New Orleans. That story. I mean, yeah, Reggie Morris historical significance for sure, but it's it's through breeze, bringing that to the championship. And again, what he's done there, I can't stress it enough for anybody who who might need that history lesson. Thanks for the call. Abe and good luck to your your badgers coming up on Saturday night. You know. You can't stress it enough breeze coming out of Purdue out of the big ten. He's not six one. Let's put it that way. Even though booger McFarland said last night he was five, ten. I don't believe he was fine. I don't believe he's five, ten, but. Coming out of Purdue second round draft choice. Nobody expected him to even lead the chargers to the playoffs. And then he did. He did certainly have LT, but he did. He did, but then he got hurt and then Philip rivers gets drafted. I don't think AJ Smith day j. Smith, one of those old school GM's who just look at Philip rivers, that's, that's his idea. Quarterback guy wants to stand back. There is a statue and winging all Philly. Riv-. Okay, so breeze, it's now time to move on. It's contracts up shoulder again and he's now free agent with the shoulder, maybe career ending. I mean, this is fact these are facts of the case, and that's the guy who just broke the all time passing yards record five thousand clear of Tom Brady who may never catch him because the way the breezes playing football himself at age thirty. Thirty nine. I read all these stats out such a great sports. That's the guy. And if. Nick Sabin. Anna dolphin, said whatever. Whatever the reason why they went co, peppers knee was a better risk than breezes shoulder if it was different. I mean, we heard this many different places today all say to. Does Nick Sabin even staying in Miami is the success story of breeze with Sabin and whoever is his offense coordinator there on his bath because you know savings not calling offense of plays. He's not in his headset like Sean Payton, spin. This breeze had the same success in Miami. The dolphins have a Super Bowl ring instead of the saints. What does that mean for the Saint city? Does the Saint success. Now, Paul Tagliabue's one of the many reasons why people are pounding the table for him as to get into the pro football hall of fame is he stuck with New Orleans like we're going back to New Orleans. The Superdome have lost its roof, but the saints are not moving. So the interesting put there. There was some dalliance with San Antonio. Let's not forget breezy and Peyton winning football game certainly made that an easier sell than that, of course, Steve Gleason block in the punt that was all she wrote. And the Superdome being redone. I made a bet with Marshall Faulk once. That New Orleans would never get another Super Bowl again. Because of the situation that had happened there and the Superdome not even being redone, looking like any of these other stadiums that are going on. Right. Okay. And he goes how much you wanna bet. And I'm like, I don't know. He goes, how about one hundred dollars. And about a hundred dollars for each year that they don't get it up to five hundred. And if they don't get after five years, I got the money. He's like, sold. Why would I make a bet with somebody's wealthy. Sure. So three years later, they get the Super Bowl. I'll give him three crisp, one hundred dollar bills that he framed. Mr. New Orleans. He knew you cannot stress enough what breeze and Sean Payton and the rest of that city have enjoyed together..

"The bill o'brien place unfair expectations on your boy jj wa i wanna get this quote right bill o'brien said that watt will be better than he was unquote before the operation that sidelined him last year in before that he was a threetime defensive player of the year i don't think these are on fear expectations i think this is a question of a coach boosting his own kid i think the jj what is terrific player people say that in uh in the practices against the patriots joint practices he's been said he's a sensational player i'm okay plays a hall of fame played i'm okay i'm not gonna sit at unfair expectations it may be unfair because when he come back from certain injuries is just differ right and i don't think he's trying to boost the kid i think so but jiji what gets compered reasonably with the likes of reggie white came back from injuries he would reggie white i mean even late in his career what you think he's passed a point where he could produce that kind of mayhem along the defense so maybe jiji what can do that i will come unfair if he if he returned to normal practice you'll know as healthy you're not that's a big deal the yankees took a roldos chapman out of the closer role should they move aaron george out of the three whole well i mean air judges the nothing sister break but strike out i mean he's done nothing in terms of a few home mannequins if you ever police turned into he's dave kingman since the break that's what he has will mount and another joe girardi has a perfectly reasonable thing when he wants somebody to develop substitutive nissim tough and play through the disappointment on the other hand the guys like joe madden who move your three four and five hitters all the time all the time so i like that that routing which you know what joe girardi is one is a bit time energy knows what he's doing these are apples and oranges when you take a guy out of the closer role is because the clothes roles a vital and singular role if you don't think the guy can close you gotta get him oddity that's right in the case of arun judge you can go three four five six you can sit him down the game he was.
