So the cancellation of jets practices that related to Ah, the protest or something else. Yes, that's the Jets, the Redskins and the culture. Three teams that have put their practice on pause for today, presumably in protest in solidarity with all the other sports and what's been going on? Judge stops Idaho from enforcing transgender student-athlete ban

"Transgender athletes from women's sports teams. Well, that's not really very specific. Is it because you could be? Let's see a woman who's trans to Ah, man, and then can you compete in the women's I think you probably should be able to because You know, that's the that's the thing. They're a federal judge says Transgender women and girls in Idaho cannot be banned from sports teams corresponding to their gender. Comma blocking on Idaho law that attempted to do so. They if you're a young man, you're born a boy. You know, you got an Audi instead of an N E. And you grew up playing hockey and and doing whatever on you're a boy. And then you become a teenager. You decide on the girl, and then you want to be on the girls track team. And win the state championship and get the scholarships which happened in Connecticut when this young girl Who was going to the state championship, and she came in fourth instead of third because they're two men who look like they could be wide receivers for the Washington Redskins on and they are saying that they're women, and they won the track meets and then they win the scholarships and all of that. Because you know, liberals on that's really the short answer. So the federal judge says that transgender women meaning biological males, who now say they're females cannot be barred from competing as females and stealing and cheating. See, this is what we used to call cheating. And Democrats air for cheating because they've got this gender issue in their brain that they they can't straighten out. This is a victory for all women and all girls

Washington releases RB Guice shortly after arrest

"In the National Football League today came from Washington Washington football team. Cutting ties with running back Darius Dice the Redskins, releasing a statement that they had released the running back just hours after he was arrested on a felony charge is one of the accounts of strangulation and this is a situation in the NFL. That is one that leaked. This does not want and when you're the Washington football team As I was still trying to get used to everything of saying that the not saying that the the nickname George, but just off seeing the Washington football team, there has been a lot going on with this organization and the in the the football team, making the Ah the immediate move to arrest to let go of various guys. Following his arrest earlier today. Yeah, that's one of them. You know You messed up, right? You really messed up. It is. It's pretty bad, like if the team is saying, all right, we're kind of cutting bait with you because he's still young. I mean, he basically has it played. He's been hurt his 1st 2 years in The league and the team under Ron Rivera is clearly saying we're going in a different direction. And then you go back on the heels off, which was which probably didn't allow the legal system to play out and say All right is the guilty is the innocent. Any of that is all of the allegations that had been hurled at the Washington franchise to begin with. There was the Washington Post article. I believe that came out talking about the sexual alleged Sexual harassment and misconduct inside of the organization. And now when there is a potential strangulation and domestic abuse or abuse in general Darius Guys, he didn't stand a chance. This is a This is a time when he was in the wrong place. Wrong Time had had been another franchise. They may have been a little bit more patient to see some of the facts come out. But after that, and the name a no way they're not taking Any negative press from anybody does not named Dwayne Haskins, you know, and and when we had John Middlecoff on last hour, just talking about the situation I don't see with with what you say with the injuries. With the the history And now with these latest, you know, following his arrest on the domestic violence charges, I don't see Darius guys being back in the NFL. I just I don't I don't think that I don't even think it's a situation. Well, maybe down line, it would have Tio. It would have to be that he gets exonerated on all charges that it is. Clear that he didn't do it like that's like that's the first thing, and then he's gonna have to go into camp on a minimum contract and prove his worth like He's gonna have to go to a work out to be a few running backs injured, but it's not gonna happen, Probably this season. It will be a next season kind of deal because he's got some legalities that are gonna have to play out which which We don't want to presume his guilt yet Mohr or his innocence for the poor for that bag, But You know, it's gonna have to wait for the dust to settle and with Antonio Brown. It took them a year to quote unquote investigate him and he was in professional purgatory, and he wasn't even facing legal charges. So who knows how long this will take?

At some point it blows my mind that they weren't prepared for this that the Washington football organization that Dan Snyder in the ownership of that team was not fully prepared for the In a two least in my opinion, the inevitable name change that was going to happen. I mean, this has been going on for years and see somebody within the organization should have been able to figure out years ago that at some point Pressure is probably going to get to a point where we're gonna have to do a name change, or we might just want to do it anyway. "Man Okay. So we've got all this massive gun control legislation which I'm assuming. That this is going to veto once it hits his desk, roll it into something else and he doesn't see it. I mean. Does anybody else you positive outcome here other than I'll just say it an open civil war. Mean I feel like I feel like patience like like those are the Sierra on the on the on the conference. Are being, backed into a corner. Yeah we're basically damned if we do. We're damned if we don't any anybody want to comment on that. No Matt Aspect. Mark Yeah. Well, the thing is like you hope it doesn't cover some this ridiculous. Of course. By, by thing is I would I guess probably is right now I don't know. Civil. War who against who? In other words, how would how would you distinguish I'll be okay Tepa. Got It the OH black lives matter. Got It. But. How do you distinguish? You gotta be. That's a great question. That's the real. That's a real problem is that we're facing a A faceless boogeyman to keep us all in our homes and isolated from one another. We've got blatant constitutional no violations from New York California including the first second third amendments. Fourth amendment. I mean and they're just they're not apologetic about it. They're just in your face to. Has. Closed Down Churches and locked Rock Jewish people out of their own parts. What's his name from says. Yeah. Is violating blatantly violating the first. Amendment people they can't sing in. Church. Are you kidding me. I mean, I'm not a religious separation of church and state. Well and second of all I mean, how does anybody look at that and not go holy shit let the lawsuits commence. Honestly So, now here's the thing I. WanNa Make It. I WanNa make it very clear for the audience and even those in the group I am not advocating for an open civil war where we start shooting. Okay. I would also like to say here only for myself but I believe that that I do not believe in the Black Lives Organization the Black Lives Matter Organization. I believe in the message black lives matter just as much as every other life and we should all be equal before the law we should be overseas equal treatment especially before the law. But. I'm not going to back a group that is Marxist and comes out and basically says it if you don't give us what we want, we're GONNA burn the system that the ground. I mean all here. Again, I mean if you have said organization that is in fact, baking a threat whether they considered idol. They considered valid. It is still a threat to. The life. Well, exactly how how do we not take that? How do we not take that based on the the instances of the last month? Says we says, we all watched the the horrific murder of a of a citizen by by discussing human being police officer. How do we? How do we not take that as anything other than a threat of actual violence based on recent history? Therein. Lies The question that I would poses that to go along with remarks you know who who exactly is going to do is A. Government. It's a radical leaders. Of States counties, cities, whatever. Or is it going to be people for people? We have. What did you just leave knowing? When you just gotTa love the irony that the Minnesota governor had the balls to ask the white. House for for bailout money after they let their city burn. I, mean, I understand there are citizens that were affected by that. But you know my argument would be well I'll tell you what once you spend the money that you say from you know. From dissolving your police. Believe. Yeah what you spend that money go ahead. Save yourself though you know the. Four hundred million dollars spent annually on your police force. Etc.. And They're not gonNA, pass it out. There's a blank check to the people because well, you know we don't get our tax money that way. Exactly. HAVE YOUR IS A. Stalemate along the lines of. City Minneapolis Saint Paul's which Is Looking for a five hundred dollar bill out the government's GONNA help. They're going to have to get that money somewhere. Well exactly and the question. Phoenix afraid now, but to answer your question or respond to your statement. I believe you said they're not gonNA raise taxes through the roof to do it. Of course, they will. Of course they will in turn. Bring. I. That's. That's a real trick. Isn't is when the IRS gets involved or whatever State Department revenue they have comes and starts locking people up the people sheepishly combine. and. The guy will probably get reelected. Let's be honest. Well you will probably see. You'll probably see something for the cities that were affected by riots and everything put into like a another stimulus bill passed by the house. Like they have added that money there you go to a legal and yeah. And everything else that I wouldn't put it past the House to sit there and add a piece in there that every city that was affected by these riots or has hardships now. Get X. amount of. Millions of dollars as part of this. Bill to. Help, stimulate the economy and the people that actually are affected by all this. That, it should be helping they'll put their. Claws into it and put. Extra things that won't matter, and then it'll sit there and argue back and forth between the House, and the Senate for God knows how long Because they won't budge on wasn't it? Well one thing you have to love about the strategy employed by the Democrats they're gonNA. They're gonNA try to stick it in something that make the president look bad if he vetoes it. Oh. Yeah. It'll be. It'll be some sort of. Bill and he'll have to it, and then they'll scream how he doesn't care about children. Exactly among the media will be all over it. Media will be all over at bashing him. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. The president doesn't care about the future. There for the last four years anyway. Well Yeah they've they've. It's funny. I. Yeah I was GONNA say I. Johnson and Nixon for sure. But you know twenty I hear people talking about Oh. Trump won't accept the results of the twenty twenty election loses you guys still haven't accepted the fact that you're get forty. Or the fact that impeachment failed yeah. Yeah the. Everything else. Rono. Everything else that you've thrown at them hasn't stuck. Exactly this is. This is reality you know this is not theory. All this stuff is happened. You know. I saw something today and I don't remember where it was talking about the reason that you know that. They want to sit there and blame trump for not being ready for this pandemic and everything was because the other half of the fence was sitting there. So busy trying to get him out for the last four years that he couldn't take time to focus. On being prepared for anything like that. The funny part is, is I I'm trying. I'm trying to I'm I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of hearing how Trump getting the blame for a hundred and thirty thousand body bags. Here this is this is the thing we need to do things. We need to change the story number one it should be only a hundred, thirty, thousand, five bags why? If if anybody recalls I do specifically PURDIS MR TRUMP DONALD TRUMP put a travel ban in effect once we had ten positive cases in this country, the left assailed him for weeks for doing it. Okay. Nancy. Pelosi went to Chinatown encourage people not to wear masks Blah Blah. Xenophobic Racist Blah Blah Blah, pick your s that's yacht called, and now all of a sudden they WANNA blame him for one hundred, thirty, thousand body bags may explain something if he hadn't done what he did when he did, there'd be a million three bodybags. Okay end of discussion this has nothing to do with mass. This is all a political fucking game and and I'm tired of hearing about it. Except from you guys I love your new guys. DOTS. I. Think. Let's just put that on record right now. Yeah you're paid to talk matter of fact, we don't pay you at all. Yes. I think we have a contract we'll get. something. About our bucks and it'll happen advil or something like that. I. Think it was under someone nine. I was a corner of starbucks eight was a quarter of an advil and half starbucks get it straight monthly and you're no. Damage. Send Me. Oreo. Wait a minute. I want kids count. You want to renegotiate. All of your agent moved to Seattle. Yeah exactly somebody please his comments to that brick wall over there. Oh Yeah. Yeah. All right I feel like I've rented enough. Is there anything you gentlemen WANNA cover that I missed? How `bout? Redskins finally caving. By quest over we're going we're going for football. Then we're GONNA touch the Third Rail Ladies and gentlemen he just licked and grabbed it go right ahead phoenix. I did read an article that. There are some and I'm not saying a whole bowl loan. I'm not saying that YOU KNOW ENTIRE PATIENT O. Or and it's hard tribal right that there are in fact, some of the indigenous votes, native Americans. That want keep it because it actually gives them a sense of ownership relevant. We've along on this we have this. We can follow this because that is you know a depiction of our people. What's the Redskins fans great. I have no problem with that if there. was somebody like football but hey, you know I, see it representation in my people here. Thank you. There are well, we don't get me wrong that no, all fuck you and take it other. Cash kind of it's actually kind of funny that you mentioned that being that I'm also for those of us this for those of you just tuning in and getting no us as we get to know you I, am a football nut job I have been since my early days Yes. I was GONNA. Say I think there's actually incriminating proof out there wasn't much of a about football I gotta tell you. My love for the game has often outweighed all of this You know all the polit political bullshit that's going on in the game for quite some time. Get into Kapernick, that's a whole other rent for me that lasts about forty five minutes and maybe we'll do an episode just on that Now, there was always my understanding in watching anything about the Washington redskins and and the history of them that the that the team was supposedly named for one of their assistant coaches who was native American and it was if anybody. I played football I I. I. I know that Phoenix not sure if you did mark You know everybody everybody on the football field to talk shit and especially to your friends okay and Just because you have some sort of negative pejorative is a nickname, doesn't mean that people hate you Okay. So The, the the legend was and I've actually since found out found out, different resin was at the team was named for in honor of one of their beloved assistant coaches. Evidently that's not the case. Racist over racist overtones aside I? Mean we can dissect anything want. Come up with all kinds of. The point being is, why don't we just name? The region Caucasians and everybody'll be happy. Okay I mean. Seriously also living in living in Florida I gotTa tell you the university or she state has a deal to to use the seminole name from the from the seminal nation. They paid them royalties every year, which is why you don't hear this here the Indigenous People screaming about Florida state. Okay. So You know I I don't I don't want to say they haven't been relevant for twenty years. Hey easy. I. Agree I agree too I mean my head. One is, Emma water but. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute mark. Are You All I I. Take over the gators day. Well me too because. No. Fan. You know what you know University of Miami and the Florida. GATOR gator. Yeah. So It's just block. Gives you wondering we all love each other teams until we play each other so that that being said. Does anybody have any idea about the outrage regarding redskins? Honestly. I mean I might just you know that stupid that I don't see the problem with the name it's the name of sports team. Okay. I mean we'RE GONNA change the Cleveland Indians. Are we gonNA change you know aerobics Today. But that's again that's a whole other. That's a whole other thing. But how many? Are they are all the sports teams just to be to be called the daisies and you know we're good to go. Or how about the banana flavor wouldn't? Well, this is like football gets get. Exactly. Yeah. Very wrapped up about injuries and things like that. Like five put flags on. Let's play flag football. But that's really the other thing I mean. You can argue that these guys are being paid wages that are equivalent to see to. Well, okay. hazard pay I mean there's they're making millions and millions of dollars. No offense I, what what what what come? Okay. These these guys mostly have guaranteed contracts. So, you break your leg. You're out of the game you're still getting paid and you should have gotten a degree so you should be able to join the workforce afterwards. Well. Puffing along the line that you know you're getting my mom bought list during my day. Is. Lump everything together all of one. We have you know events that have taken place because of. What took place. In A now it's moved to now we're going to start tearing down statues of anybody that. Could would did whatever. But now okay. Well, we need to keep that ball rolling. So we need this Norfolk Russell. Hey. Let's NFL take. Let's go up for baseball teams. Blackhawks. I love the fact that the blackhawks till they told those guys to stuff it. They're like, no, we're not change Noel. I mean yeah, and also also the the pretty big assumption there is that these people that are tearing down statues have any clue who they are I mean want to remove a statue wondering. I it's like I'll take the consequences of not taking US history for eight hundred Alex. Basically. Look, we get to wipe out four. Daily double. All right. So we'RE GONNA WE'RE GONNA. PULL DOWN WE'RE. GonNa pull out Lincoln and we're GONNA pull down the statue of an abolitionist. Yeah. Let's do that. Oh Yeah. Well, they're not even educated. They're pulling down you know. They're pulling down. Statues of people that fought four slavery. To to abolish slavery, they're pulling down. I mean I saw they ruined the Frederick Douglass. So that being said, I wanted to read something here real quick on our maiden voyage as sort of a sort of a way to set the standard. This this passage I'm about to read was actually written by. Thomas Paine one of our founders and framers, and regardless of how you see this man and the values that he possessed in that day that this was written this was written about seven months after the excuse me five months after the declaration of independence. So this is a this is a passage from December twenty, third, seventeen, seventy, six many of you have heard the the the line of this but I'm to go a little bit deeper into it, and hopefully this'll give the show some sort of context and and we hope we can earn your support as as time goes on. So this is from December twenty, third seventeen, seventy, six when the When the Revolutionary War was still going on and it says says as follows. These are the Times that try men's souls. Summer soldier in the Sun signed gatriways will in this crisis shrink from the service of their country. But he that stands by it now deserves the love and the thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, there's not easily conquered. Yet, we have this consolation with us at the heart of the conflict, the more glorious triumphs. What we obtained too cheap. We assume too lightly. It is dearness only that gives every thing. It's value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on its goods. And it would be strange indeed if so celestial and article as freedom. Should not be highly rated. So those are the kind of the words that I could keep in mind as we go through this in every man here every person associated with this show would definitely be on the flag to make sure that the stretch stay read. So we're GONNA open up tonight and we're going to kind of open up the insanity that we've been seeing around our country regarding corona virus covid nineteen. Now everybody fever mind that none of us are medical professionals and our virologist by any stretch of the imagination where relating experiences and questions nothing that we say should be taken as any sort of diagnostic approach or any sort of Expert opinion. That said yours truly your host here Paul Spartan well, actually come at this from a perspective of being Osha certified in matters of respirators and and breathing protection. the rest of US come at this from from our own particular viewpoints and speculations. So let's just get started off So boys, we got we have. Governors California and Texas walking. Act Actual reopenings and we've got quote unquote more and indecisive confirmations, Cova, spreading but for but amazingly somehow in New York, they're reporting any new deaths or anybody WANNA start with an opinion on that. Honestly. You know I mean there's been some conversation prior to. Between myself and the other members. That's. Something is pulling the strings somewhere. Other than CDC, a hospital staff, surgeon, general things of that nature. Quite honestly, you know whatever it was whatever stream you Asian that recently came out that. Took a Italy Area. Jersey Pennsylvania. Great. Has stated sure. But why is it only California Texas? That more back that we know of your again to the states in the continental United States. Voting populace in those states. So my question now. WHO formed strings? Think. That's the overarching point here is that you know in in my experience not to get too nerdy and go too far down the rabbit hole but the same government that's telling us you know to be afraid and take particular actions like wearing cloth masks. Are the same ones that are telling us that the cloth masks don't work. I can tell you from from Osha Training and ocean certification that airborne pathogens particularly viruses. Are listed in the sub micron rage. Now that sounds that sounds really really you know interesting or maybe even boring but something that has to be realized is that when something is a sub micron particle. It passes right through the we've of a mask. Require its own moisture source. Now. Obviously state standard state standards vary but in the train I've received anything in the sub micron range requires a A. A SELF CONTAINED OXYGEN SOURCE With the use of a mask in that in that particular bio suit I mean if you WanNa, take a look and you think you're safe by wearing a cloth mask look at whatever rally just wears in a lab. When he's working with this type of contagion, it isn't a cloth masks. He wears a moon suit with a separate oxygen supply I mean there seems to be my perception is that the same people that are that are trying to Promote the panic are the ones trying to peddle a secure and make trillions and any thoughts on John? I think they're actually. No I. Think There's definitely you know financial motivation behind. This whether it's big whether it's by hospitals by a parent companies own hospitals. I mean. There's definitely something I think that financially pushes everything I mean between them getting you know a nice. paycheck at for each person, they list with Kobe or each person that unfortunately passes. listed. With Kovin. You, know they get a Giant financial. Yes if you will. Of money which I think pushes ally of these. Claims of more cases rising I mean like we. Previously is if you talk about the fact that of you know there's people around that work in the profession that there are things have been going around that they've sent. You know unused test the places. And they've come back positive when they haven't been used. But who who? Who who is the guy over in Africa, that tested a tested a fruit and a goat. And they both came back. Positive. Does anybody remember that news But you already your point but more to your point I believe the last figure I heard to. Last year I heard from the federal government was somewhere in the area of fifty to eighty five thousand dollars total for the treatment, and if the the particular person passes, the patient passes they get more. Does anybody have any information to dispute that because I think that was the last count that I heard. Be last information that I have. At, least. It's nineteen thousand dollars for a diagnosed case. Thirty eight thousand dollars if they are required hospital say and it goes up exponentially require respirator ICU care. They stay longer than hot. You're in you're out you're gone. So that being said. We all know that it'll supposedly. This bill. Gates himself and his research company. Or the ones that. Found viruses no did all the. Problems. I'm looking for here research. But. My question is if they did all the research, why did they come up with as well or have they? That's a question I posed to you folks. Well, I know they re you know they actually waiting to get ten thousand dollars plus from insurance companies and the federal government per dose mean. There's an argument to be made there. I mean, the guy is not a doctor nor is he of Arale just he just wants to make a make a killing on the here. Now that by the way is not an argument for any sort of socialized medicine. It's an absolute. It's an absolute disgusting power-hungry move at the cost of well forget about just American lives. What about globally, what have what is a million people in the ground now lifted discovered related At least one point three. If I remember correctly I could be wrong. Well, I got the second portion. Really a big to ask now is Bill Gates can't keep a bug out of his own computers what you're GONNA do with the world. Exactly number one key couldn't build a computer didn't crash three times a day for no reason. So why would we trust him with with people's lives? You know I mean he would. There was a there was a tit for tat went back and forth on social media several several years ago when he was still a once he was the kingpin of Microsoft. And he had mentioned something like You know if the auto industry had made many advances in the computer industry over the last twenty years, we'd all be driving cars that got a thousand miles to the gallon and went from zero to one hundred and two seconds to which I believe. It was the CEO at the time of Ford replied. Well. Yeah. But then the cars would crash twice a day for no reason. So. I mean you. Good Cryptic. I was GonNa say, well, then you you look at Osso. When you're talking about these numbers, go into hospitals. How many hospitals or possibly owned by the same parent company that owns the farms that the big farms that are gonna sit there and. Produce this vaccine all the sudden. Or? Not to say that they don't already have it and are just. Still waiting. I mean I know there's always testing and they have to get FDA approval and God knows what else but I mean, what's to say? that. They're not. You know getting twice the paychecks. On. Both things. Oh. Yeah. There's there's no doubt they're doubling down does absolutely no doubt doubling down your that said the other the other things that I've noticed here I don't know if everybody's been keeping up like I have. There's a Lotta unconstitutional shift happening. Okay. And I mean. Just heard I. Heard I. Heard Mark Heard Mark Giggling that that's fine because. The little that they'll get into that in a little bit but also just I wanna take a moment mark You serve this country with honor and distinction for several years in that in the military and I got to thank you for that Phoenix. You did as well and I got to say thank you for that. You protected my right to become a fat video playing hotdog eating copy guzzling douchebag that you see before you now and some of US servicemen appreciate that and Thank you. Appreciate. Bill. Hey they already did. They're called the IRS and believe me they're up my don't shit. I don't know where they I don't know where I ended maybe. It's not. So we've got measured we've got measures being proposed in in in multiple stages. Here is all the way from you know putting additional taxes on firearms to ammunition and then requiring a federal license. To purchase either. we've got the state of California. Who is you know? Well, let's just be honest they're doing what California does. It essentially eliminated their own their own Anti discrimination laws I don't know how that happened Where the hell does anybody see an end game here other than complete and total? Marxist. Shithole. That's where these lefties and I'm not GONNA say Liberals. Anymore. He's people are leftist-marxist pigs and by the way if any of you listening fuck off, don't ever come back. None of us here at. Fourth Yeah. This year at the Midnight Patriots give a flying fuck what you We don't have time to answer your e mails and believe me you're better off just turning off because if you heard that your heads probably. And I don't WanNa hear about it. Okay. You be somewhere else. All right. Man Okay. Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah you mean the guy that advised Lincoln on how to actually take slavery down Gee I can't imagine why you hear him down. Clearly again, that's That's World Super Eight Hundred Alex. Exactly exactly no no, it's not world history. It's common core history. That's that's right. And? There is no wrong answer to one plus one. Knew exactly. All right boys I. think that's going to wrap it up for. I. Think that's going to wrap it up this particular episode everybody that joined us. Thank you very much. I appreciate a hope you've You give him a little insight insight. I should say are insanity sure would appreciate your support. So if that support button go at Mash, it down any level would be appreciated We're GONNA have some promos and some gear available for you guys here real soon, and For joining us again I'm supporting. "redskins" Discussed on The Kevin Sheehan Show

"You want it you need it. It's what everyone's talking about the Kevin Sheehan show. Now here's Kevin. You're listening into the sports fix. I'm here Tommy's here errands here. got a lot to get to. We're going to get to the Lebron stuff if you haven't seen the video. CEO of Lebron's travel last night or his celebration late in the game where he came onto the floor Go look at it at some point. look it up on your phone right now as you're listening to podcasts. delay the PODCAST. Pause the podcast and look at it. Because we're going to get to that. We have to get to that some redskins today. A smell test S.. Pick to end the show for the Thursday night game Chicago and Dallas I want to start with Maryland. 'cause I went to the game last night they played Notre Dame in the the. ACC Big ten show. How did you get to the game? How did you go I drove no I mean how do you get into the game? What do you mean I mean? How did you get a ticket? Yeah I had a ticket really was a good ticket. What did it satisfied to see in ticket? It was they were fine. They were the station's tickets. Okay station gets tickets pretty good seats okay and oh you recognize when you were there. I actually you know what people were. Several people were very nice to me up to me and said a low and why wouldn't be night couple. I love you know what's up and then people just keep walking away. What's up? I'll talk to you. We're let's let's chat but nobody wants to sit there and chat nor do I actually in in that situation. I know that but there were there. Were a lot of people Not a lot but It was good to see some people who listen to the podcast and listen to the radio show. I went with my I son. I picked him up. He lives in College Park. And he's out at Maryland and I picked him up and we went to the game and And so this is a really good basketball team and and I'm really so hesitant because I'm superstitious when it comes to my favorite teams I don't it's December fifth. I don't WanNa go crazy at this point. This is a really really good team. I know that like it's eighteen. Gary Williams was on the radio with me this morning and he said look if the season ended today Maryland would be one of the two or three favorites to win the whole thing. You know. They're number three in the country right but it's more than that. Mike Bray after the game. The head coach of Notre Dame said quote they smothered smothered us that was varsity versus the JV tonight. We haven't played against anybody like that in a while even in the ACC. I'm I'm glad they're not in our league closed quote now. This was their best performance. Wasn't it let me just say to coach Bay. I wish we were in your. Yeah I wish we still were in your league and keep in mind. He's talking about last year's ACC they did open up with North Carolina but but they haven't played the ACC schedule yet last year the ACC was pretty damn good. Yes you know. So they won. The National Championship won the National Championship. In Duke was certainly favored Abor doing the national championship. Even though Virginia won it It was here's what they they have. They have a very good t- they very very good players. Tommy right now and lots of very good players that that is the the depth that they have in the number of buttons that Turjan can push is really amazing in college basketball today. You get a rotation of seven seven or eight deep and you know every everybody's got a role you're not sure who's GonNa do it too from game to game so you have their best five players. Who is she's now started for? I think two straight games the Marquette game on Sunday and then last night against Notre Dame. You've got a point guard. Anthony Cowan who's a senior who is a leader who who hits every big shot for them is great in transition can score a lot. Didn't even have to score less than two points in the first half they're up twelfth they've got a big and Jalen Smith who Can rebound is a big time. Shot Blocker had five blocks last night and construct the floor and shoot the threes. got a great stroke They've got a a wing in Errand wiggins who may be their best prospect you know ultimately who can in really stroke it from behind the ARC and is developing a much better drive to the basket game and has become a much better defensive player super long and then they have a defensive offensive stopper but really an all around player. Gary Call Daryl more sell this morning on the show. He Byron Mouton okay from the national champions. And it's a great comp d more cell does everything more cell when more so it was a freshman and you know all of my friends who are Maryland basketball fans. We've sess over this and a lot of the Matt Moore Sally Than Handle The ball. Well he doesn't shoot you know and I'm like he's a Gary Guy. This is exactly who Gary Williams would love a tough kid from Baltimore. Moore who competes. Who defends who does everything? Well nothing great. But he's a great defender Then they've got a super high Q.. Do you know everything guard. Eric I ala you know. He's sort of an old school game. Although he had vicious dunk last night. Eric Aaron you saw that on the breakaway. That was surprising. I I didn't even know I could get up like that. Yeah couple surprising dogs yesterday. Yeah but he's an old school Calming Presence Real Real High. I Q makes everything easy for everybody but can really get to the rim uses body so well as as a but that's their top five and then they come off the bench with with just about everything including two twin six foot. Ten two hundred forty pound freshman. The Mitchell twins telling you right now these the two guys are going to be really good players. And he's playing a more and more he's playing the number twenty one MCI Mitchell a lot more than his brother McKell l.. Whose number twenty two? If you're Turpin. They're identical twins But they both can catch. They both have good feet and they're confident. Like you know. Typically you throw the ball all into a big freshman big in one of their first few games and they're hesitant. These guys are going to work. They're going to work. They got moves got good feet. They don't always finish but they're both rebounders founders. Then they got a tough kid from Philadelphia. Dante Scotty six seven. He's already to twenty to twenty five he can. He can shoot it. But he's a physical player and then they got all these other guys that were factors last year. Like sorelle Smith and Ricky Linda who both contributed last night. It is a deep team. It's a good team. It's a High Q.. Team but here's the part of that. I love about Maryland so far this year because it was my single biggest complaint. If you recall last year last year they were three hundred and an eighth nationally in pace of play possessions per game right and all every game that they lost even several games that they want them. I come in here and yeah I know yeah they would play faster. Yeah I remember. I just wish that they would play faster. They've got too much talent in their talent. Looks like it would really fit and UPTEMPO game will this this year. Marked tergence team is playing fast. They're one hundred and thirty second in the nation right now possessions per game which is almost two hundred spots higher than they were a year your ago. They're looking at every opportunity to break their players are. He's less concerned about mistakes in transition. He knows he can get with his talent. Easy buckets in transition. Easy looks for three point shots. Now we'll see how it translates to big ten play where you're super well. Scouted were these teams are really well coached. And you know teams like Purdue and Wisconsin and certainly you know a team like Michigan and even probably with Juwan Howard. It's tough to fast-break against them as much as you would like. This is a a team Tommy right now that I think is the best Maryland team on paper deeper in the Best I've seen through nine games In a long time. Okay I I it certainly the best turgeon team the let me ask you two things. First of all. I watched the game last night. I was at Shelley's back room I saw. You tweeted that out. Yeah and I tweeted that out with them with the earth shook with Bert. Sugar's Asher on. Yeah I miss my friend. Bert view but I watched the game last night. with some Maryland fans at Shelley's and two things. The two things that they talked about one is and Luckily they were. They love the outcome of the game but early on they were very frustrated and They were saying that this is a mark of tergence teams that they get off to a slow start to have this year right and they they said this is a coaching issue too. I mean the not. Have your team ready. You told to You know to play right from the start. If they're playing a team like Michigan or Ohio state or something like that. That could be a problem getting off to a slow start taking. He'd take a hole in yourself basketball. Could last all two minute right. You know I mean so. I don't want to over emphasize at the other thing. That really impressed me is and this is very very small. Sample size is not a lot of love for Turgeon as a coach. I mean you know. Even if he's successful and there's a lot of people out there who there's there's a segment of the Maryland pop fan base. It just doesn't think he's a good coach. Totally agree with it. The it's it's been that way really for a while. Yeah look he's in his ninth season now. Is that amazing to anybody else. That he's in his ninth season. It is ninth great errand since Ninth Year Eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen. The eleven twelve season was so this is his ninth season. He's been to one and sweet sixteen right. He's been beyond the first weekend of the tournament one time. And that's why Maryland fans can't stand him because Gary for you know even before Gary won the national championship and went to the final four in two thousand one in wanted in two thousand and two there was a lot of frustration for Gary. Oh I know you know it becomes. There was a constantly came up short but back then they were going to sweet sixteens on the regular. Yes you know Gary had you know I think five six seven sweet sixteens eighteen before he got to his first final four. You know I mean I could go back and do the math. He got in and ninety four ninety five ninety eight ninety nine mine too so I think they're four five sweet sixteens before he finally science final four. Of course you point out his last eight seasons you went to zero sweet. Six went to zero sweet sixteenth although he also won an ACC champion won an ACC tournament championship and had some very good teams that lost some absolute heartbreaker suffering. You know and of course his initially instate the two thousand ten corey lucious dagger at the Buzzer which was almost a fluke loop play with draymond green on the floor as as an aside. That team could have gone to the final four survived that play. But but so. That's that's that was my take away from watching the Maryland game. I mean I was surprised that that The guys I was watching with.

"There's a really a game changing play in that game came in the third quarter with Detroit getting ready to go in for the lead in thirteen eighteen thirteen game and carry on Johnson who who was one of my favorite back out of the draft last year not named Saquon Barkley by the way twenty six carries one hundred twenty five yards and another couple catches for thirty five yards heath he was reaching the goal line on a first and goal situation in the ball came amount thought he was on the ground. I think ball came out. He wasn't on the ground. The whistle didn't blow in Bouchard Brillon former redskin picked it up and ran one hundred yards and then they went to replay and found out that indeed he wasn't down the ball was loose and because they didn't whistle dead which is the right thing for the referees to do is to not whistle those kinds of plays day dead instead instead of Detroit being up twenty two thirteen Kansas City was up twenty to thirteen. It was a major turnaround a fourteen point turnaround in the game but Detroit came came back and they took the lead twenty three twenty then they took the lead with two and a half minutes to go thirty to twenty seven but it was too much time for Patrick Mahomes who drove down the field and part of that drive down the field that to win the game thirty to twenty thirty four thirty was a completion on a fourth and eight on that final drive in man did did he create on that particular play it was a four thousand eight and he scrambled and bounced around and then found a wide open receiver there was pressure on the play game could've ended right there but mahomes made a great play and then you know got him down the field and they scored a touchdown now. I don't know if you saw this Greg Greg. I don't know if you saw this story all right after the game so they the Lions had one of those Hail Mary Opportunities At the end of the game and remember we've talked about with their new replay rule and pass interference in the final two minutes. It's GonNa go to the booth. There was clearly visual evidence on the final hair Hail Mary the game of Chief Safety Daniel Sorensen Shoving Marvin Jones to the ground as the ball was descending towards this cluster players know flag was thrown and then Al Riverine was asked why they did not intervene with a flag from New York on a clear pass interference appearance call and the report came out yesterday that officiating NFL senior Vp all-run looked at the play but decided not to conduct the full blown replay review riverine apparently is previously previously explained that the Hail Mary situations are going to have the same relaxed standard on replay that applies on the field when a team launches a wing and uh-huh prayer. Here's a quote from him from a recent profootballtalk podcast quote for the most part. Everyone understands what's allowed allowed and what's not allowed on Hail Mary. It's probably fortunate that we're not putting this play into a box because it's something when we see it when I say we I mean the football community from fans to coaches to place to officials will all agree that that's a hail. Mary will understand what's allowable. What's not really so? You're allowed to commit pass interference on Hail Marys okay so now we know so don't ever on a pass interference. That's not called intervene on replay in the final two minutes of a half or a game because you just said we know what it is and we're we're relaxed on it and we as a football community from fans coaches players. There's an official we all agree what Hail Mary isn't will understand what's allowable and what's not go back and watch this place. Sorenson interferes with Marvin Jones knocks him to the ground as the ball's coming in that was one of those things that I was concerned about with this new rule is that we're going to sit there. And how are we gonNa Handle Hail Marys. How are we going to handle any of these passes where there's contact in the final two minutes or we're going to review all of them well? They haven't really done that. The officiating by the way is just so so painful the the number of holding penalties in the the roughing the passer penalty and that leads me this game my God poor Denver. I know they were my pick and I know I'm partial to Denver Ver- because I picked them to be the surprise team in the AFC and their own four but they've lost two games at home. Were Joe FLACCO drove him eighty minutes in the final eighty yards in the final final two minutes of the game for the go ahead touchdown and then on the ensuing opponents possession. They were totally screwed out of a win happened in Chicago Chicago when they called Bradley Chubb for for a roughing the passer on trubisky two weeks ago and yesterday Minhsiu who by the way is excellent he he's got great pocket awareness which is what leads said he's really spectacular in the pocket. He fumbled he's pressured by Von Miller and fumbles the football in the pocket and it's part of everybody going for that loose ball and to tackle them which by the way at that point he's not a quarterback anymore with the ball loose miller accidentally gets a hand up into his helmet area as you would. Maybe with a running back wouldn't a face mask and they flagged him for are you F- In and kidding me. What a horrible horrible call? That was a third downplay game fifteen yards. I DOWN JACKSONVILLE GOES DOWN GETS FIELD GOAL RANGE AND KICKS OFF KICKS A walk off game winning field goal that is that call was not as obviously bad is the Chubb call all was against Trubisky but he had that ball on the ground in the pocket. I don't get it. He's really interesting as a player cool we loved him in evaluating him and suggested the redskins could tissue take a look at him in the middle rounds. Yes he's six feet or six one or whatever it is actually looks smaller than that but man does he have incredible ability to create create and extend past place all of a sudden Jacksonville's two with Gardner Men's shoe the second at quarterback and by the way they played that game without Jalen Ramsey what a what a complete and utter fool he is sitting out acting like he's sick wants to be traded. They shouldn't trade him. That would be sort of hypocritical because I want them to Trent Williams but guy like that. This is a winning team. This is a good team. This is a talented eighteen. That's got a chance in that division to do something. They've got a really good defense. How about the browns did to the Ravens yesterday men that was quite the beatdown Brown? Nick Chubb was incredible that eighty eight yard touchdown run that he had to speed on that run was phenomenal National Mayfield was really good the best game he's played all year and they torched that Baltimore defenseman to the tune of five hundred yards. I mean it was was really forty points five hundred yards Jackson at two interceptions. I mean this talk of Lamar Jackson a few weeks ago being part of this Peyton Manning Tom Brady mahomes homes Jackson thing you know put the brakes on that. He's a fun player to watch. Don't get me wrong but there he can't throw with anticipation a patient. You know it's not he can create more time in make big plays. That's an interesting loss for the Ravens who had to look like a juggernaut not now they've lost to enroll including two division rival at home and they gave up that many yards and that many big plays and then there was the play at the end the game. I'm not sure if anybody saw this it was. Ob Jay and Marlon Humphrey got into what they got tangled up and it ended up with Beckham junior throwing a punch humphry on top of him choking him on the ground Humphry went to ob Jay. After the game came in apologized he said quote that's not really the brand of football. I Really WanNa represents represents when the whistle blows it's gotTa be over with interesting stretch for the Ravens here because they played steelers next week on the road steelers have the bengals tonight if the steelers win their one in three one one game at a I in the AFC north and then they get the ravens at home next week. I still think the ravens are better than a Mason Rudolph lead steelers team but I think the browns have the most talent met division Erin I do. I don't think there's any doubt they've got the most talent the Patriots the bills yesterday. If you WANNA see a team that's really good on Defense Watch Buffalo. They are nasty defensively. They were last year. They held the Patriots to two hundred and twenty four yards of total offense who does that to the Patriots eleven even first downs and by the way sixteen points seven of which came on a blocked punt return for a touchdown. I think the other points it's were set up by turnovers Buffalo. Turn the ball over four times. The Patriots got four turnovers were plus three in the turnover margin category and we're holding on on for dear life against Matt Barkley who had come in for an injured Josh Allen who took a wicked hit and got knocked out buffalo is I'm telling you there's some good defensive teams. Redskins aren't one of them. Buffalo is a good defensive football team. You had a chance to win that game against the Patriots yesterday to get four Endo would that have been amazing if the bills one and they were four knowing the Patriots were three and one it would have been something Minnesota. I know some of your waiting for this first of all Kirk. I'll just say he wasn't very good. Now I watch this game it was the CBS four twenty five. I watched a lot of it. I was flipping back and forth with the others because I had Tampa I bet Tampa yesterday so it was trying. Keep track of that. If you watch this game and you're one of those people that would put it solely on kirk cousins. I'm sorry just wrong. I mean he was was ambushed on the regular. They couldn't run. The football. delvin Cook was the leading rusher coming in two point five yards per carry fourteen carries thirty five Bjork's that the Chicago defense was dominant in the game. Now cousins didn't do enough. He was sacked six times times. He fumbled twice or fumble twice lost one of the fumbles they had a big plate of digs in the first half that down seven. Nothing and digs fumbled it. I bet the bears yesterday by the way I told you before. This season started when I made predictions just so we're clear on this. I am a kirk cousins Fan I am I still think in the right situation. He is a top half of the league starting quarterback. I told you before the season that I picked Minnesota Minnesota not to make the playoffs for them to struggling for Kirk to have a rough year. I felt that way I felt I totally felt that there was something not right in listening to Kirk talk in the off season you know they changed out the offensive coordinators. It's defense key instead of de FELIPO. They brought Gary Kubiak in as as a as a consultant. There's frustration with Kirk Adam. Adam feelings frustrated. You could tell them Mike. Zimmer is a little bit frustrated but at the same time you know that the game two weeks ago that he had against the packers was horrible the game aim yesterday offensively. They didn't have a chance against Chicago. They got ambushed upfront completely and the other thing too is I sort of see what de Filippo tried to do last year knowing that he added an offensive line that was not going to be consistent with them in the run game. They got to be more. They got to be more balanced. I I would say that they they are very intent on trying to run the ball on first and second down not what a Lotta creativity there. I don't think they're I think they're the third place team at best in the NFC north. I thought that before the season started pick Chicago right to win the division somebody else I think I had Minnesota maybe second but not as a playoff team how about the buccaneers I mean this is the league right you just you just never know. There's always one of those games every week where you're like. What Tampa did what the rams these scored fifty five points against the rams was twenty one nothing early in the second quarter? I said this before about James Winston. I'm a fan Dan. I think he can be a really good quarterback. I know I'm in the minority on this. I think he's really talented. I think Bruce Arians is a really good coach. I think Todd Bowles is too. Although although defense now is giving up some big numbers here in the last in the last two weeks right. They gave up a bunch to Dan Jones last week at home you know back kicker makes that short kick last week there three and one yes. They are Bacon. Throw the football. They have offensive talent in Tampa so much talent. They apparently don't know how to use oh Jay Howard how about Godwin's merchants but we Gerry goffin gained through the ball sixty eight times I they.

"He did just an undisciplined outfit weaken and week out you can't you can't be a good team committing that many penalties on a weekend and week dekalb basis especially when you're not very good other areas of the game no running game again this really this running game thing there look this is a disconnect between Jay Gruden and the importance of a running game and the ability to scheme running game and then you add the extra layer bill Callahan being involved in designing the running game and it's not been a good fit bill Callahan Jay gruden running game terrible fit Jay Gruden. Anybody probably not a great fit for a running game it would be by the way one of the reasons I personally wouldn't consider Jay Gruden to be my offensive coordinator next year. Even though I believe people will hire him and he'll get hired. He can scheme people open in the passing game he really can he's good at that. You know he can look cover to cover three or cover one you know or Tampa too and he can scheme people open in the past game yesterday did it again trae Quinn's running wide open deep and we'll get the keenum here momentarily but he cannot scheme up a running attack. He couldn't do it as a coordinator donator in Cincinnati. He hasn't been able to do it here. Adrian Peterson Eleven carries twenty eight yards with with that said by the way. I thought Adrienne ran really hard you know I I it's hard to really put him on the things that I liked list when you average two point five yards per carry. I don't know that it was his fault. Though maybe it was but he ran hard when he ran the redskins are right now. The thirty first ranked team in rush offense. They're generating a whopping forty nine point eight yards per game on the ground. I'm sure Jay would chuck yesterday to missing Rui A and missing missing brandon share but that's just an excuse for a lack of a running game. That's never been they are even when they've been healthy. They're just not good at it. He's not good at that. They can't run the football hard to be a one dimensional team and be effective offensively. We need to find out if Kevin O'CONNELL can scheme up a running game and we need to find that out this year we need to find out if he sean McVeigh or you know Oh Kyle Shanahan or Matlab were a future head coach and the only way we're gonNA find that out is either by letting them call plays giving them more responsibility or making him the head coach which I would certainly consider on the things of on the list of things. I didn't like the the defense yeah they had four turnovers. I mean somebody nobody called this morning and said. How can you lose by three touchdowns? When you get four touched a four turnovers it's hard to do that is hard to do but what the problem is is? They turned it over four time so the actual turnover battle was a net even but their third down defense is so bad eight for thirteen thirteen. Yesterday was an improvement on the first three weeks of the season. That's how bad it's been there dead last in the League at sixty three percent conversions on third down defensively on the giants were seven for their first ten and then with the big lead they sort of took their foot off the pedal and so a couple of those stops came late when the giants. It's weren't desperate to move the chains. Case keenum got benched not for the interception on that first drive that by the way Aaron came you know a few minutes after one PM Eastern and was terrible tone setter for the hey the ball got deflected it was tight window that wasn't the worst of his six turnovers over over the last over the last what five quarters five and a half quarters but anyway he got benched because Jay schemed up Trey Quinn wide open behind the defense on two separate occasions and keenum missed him both times Jay chalked it up to his injured foot. Okay I mean we've we've seen him miss some deep shots already this year and not even seated shots. I play the game they got Quinn Wide Open and he overthrows overthrow them. It's a touchdown down touchdown. It's a fifty yard plus. Play keenum is what I thought keenum would be. You know he's going to do some good things things. He's GonNa do some bad things and he's going to be a six and ten starting quarterback on a team. That's decent and worse than a team. That's bad and maybe better on a team. That's good and maybe maybe a lot better like he was in two thousand seventeen on a team. That's really good around which the twenty seventeen vikings were but you know I love the people that were suggesting testing to me man. You're just not high keenum. You're down on keenum. I just I didn't want keenum. There's a reason they got keenum for nothing right. He's is not really that good. I actually was impressed with him. The first two weeks thought he was a pretty good fit for Jay Gruden. I thought he looked good in the second half last week. I'm sure Jay thanks keenum's better fit form than than Alex. Smith was by the way everybody putting out that stat redskins one in ten since the Alex Smith Injury Yeah you know Alex Smith was not taking them anywhere last year town very good offensively. They hit that inside straight that I referred to all the time in those first seven games you know they had kickers misfield goals that would have forced overtime. They got the benefit of turnover ratio penalty L. D. ratio field they played smart. Football may have been the smartest stretch of football and Alex. You didn't turn it over. All of those things are true and would I take him right now. Not Turning it over with a running game with a decent defense yeah. I would probably take that but that's not your future either. You're not winning the Super Bowl that way. You're not even contending for the postseason that way you can talk about all you want that they may have made the playoffs they were. They were six and three heading to six and four in the game he got hurt. We've been through all of this. I think they would have gone eight nate at best nine nine and seven and at nine seven. There's no guarantee that that would have been good good enough for the playoffs. I don't think they would have beaten Dallas Thanksgiving Day with them. I don't think they would be Philadelphia UPI on the road on Monday night. You know I mean so to me. They were headed towards six and six anyway. You know split the difference in the final final four and they go eight eight. That's where I thought it was headed. I could be wrong. Maybe I'm just missing the Alex Smith stuff and I liked Alex. I loved him in Kansas City and I didn't mind on the trade so don't tell me that I was always against Alex Smith and been an aunt and Alex Smith Naysayer I haven't been I liked him in Kansas City. I liked him with Andy Read. I don't know if I like them with Jay Gruden but I was four that trade I was just wrong and again who knows maybe if he hadn't broken his leg and gotten seriously injured. Maybe you're too with Jay. gruden would have been better I'll I'll concede. That's a possibility coal. Holcombe was really really interesting to watch the first three games. I didn't think he was very good. Yesterday couldn't deal with Goldman out of the backfield coverage and there was this really weird play in the the second quarter I believe where he came on a blitz or delayed blitz and he had a chance to really impact a third and to play by hitting Jones and even sacking backing him and he stopped. He hesitated like he was almost like he was worried about getting you know a roughing the passer penalty I didn't think he was very good. He forced a fumble late. He can run man in Boston can run to you know they're too inside. Backers can run Monroe was picked on started on shepard disaster then Dunbar went to him and actually I thought at times marauded and give great effort that fly sweep to shepherd if you watch Moreau SORTA gives up on the play I saw carrigan take a bunch of plays off yesterday's well. I didn't think that was very impressive. I'd be looking to try to get something for Kerrigan. The perception of Kerrigan around the League is that he's a really really really good player and he's just he's just a good player. He's not elite. He's not very very good just okay. He's he's good player like you know if you had a good team you'd love to have Ryan Kerrigan on it if you're playing if you're rebooting for the future you might be able to get a third rounder for carragher this. Maybe somebody gives up. A second got to treat Trent Williams. My God I'm Chris Thompson needs to touch the ball more than eight eight times a game. He is one of their better players. He had eight touches. Yesterday I think you need to double that. He should be used on screens over and over again until he drops. He's really good as a screen back a pass catching back. I would extend the running game by throwing it to Chris. Thompson is an unfinished down. I would be using him at every turn. He's one of the best players on your team right now. Any doesn't get enough. Targets touches not Enough Landon Collins Look. You've heard what I've said. Since the summer I mean for those of you that missed it first of all I was in favor of the redskins signing him in free agency. Even though it was a lot of money for safety I like Landon Collins in New York could be a good player here thought he could be good fit here and he still may turn out to be that way but the day that he signed the deal started this unbelievable string of interviews where the only thing he could talk about was his former team and how he was going to you get revenge on his former team he had signed a six-year deal. So that means there's a minimum of twelve games that he was gonNA play against the giants and how he had circled those twelve games as as as his payback games you know he threatened. Dave gettleman said he was going to run him over in pre-game. If you saw him called him a liar each call them a cheat. He's called them. You you know every name in the book. He's ripped that organization seven ways to Sunday like can't think about his own team. He's in in in when you do that. You put a lot a lot of pressure on yourself as I said Friday. This is a Landon Collins game in many ways he better play wealth because he has been obsessed consumed with his former team in ripping them and the bottom line was yesterday. He didn't cover well. He didn't tackle well boy. He's lucky that Wayne Gaughman didn't catch a touchdown down on him on a play where he got completely fooled his I circled payback game was an awful game for him. Pathetic it was zero zero point zero but got eleven more opportunities meantime. Did you see what Eric Flowers said after the game. This is funny stuff Eric Flowers he of the redskins playing guard if you you certainly have watched this development development you're still paying attention and actually played pretty well. But of course you know he was not a successful first round giant as a left tackle and after the game yesterday he did an interview with this.

"This was before Trent held out and of course in January I wanted Bruce Gone and the coaching staff gone how they didn't see twenty. Nineteen is a season that wasn't going anywhere is again. You know one of the reasons that their organization and business continues to find trouble and stumble they are the last ones to figure out their own situation they lack self awareness and they make up for with arrogance and really seriously lack of intelligence across the organization. It is not the brightest group it isn't it hasn't been it's time now you. You should have done it in January. That was a mistake. Don't make the same mistake again. Dan Now is the time to start making decisions for the future next year and beyond not this year all right the the this is not this. This is not about this year. This is about next year and beyond don't wait. This is not an end of the year thing this. This is a now thing. The season is over. It should have been obvious to anybody that could see that this was not going to be a playoff year to begin with. It's it's time for you to be an owner again. You've given your team president a ton of power and decision making ability over a long period of time. It's enough enough time. The team's regular season record since Bruce Scott here is fifty nine eight thousand eight and one abysmal the head coach that he hired is thirty five forty eight and one now in the regular season this staff that he's been at least partially responsible for and has been awful all right it hired or had big input on hiring. They have yet to find one defensive coordinator that can coordinate a defense. There have been in two playoff games zero playoff wins since Bruce Allen got here. Nobody nobody with any real. Credentials wants to come here as long as he's here Dan. You've got to move on from him now. Why wait I personally again believe that nothing's things can happen this week? I told you I'd be shocked if he was here after another bad defensive game and it was a bad defensive game even though they did get four turnovers it was there's another bad defensive effort. You know remember remember. It wasn't that long ago that we talked about the defense would lead them and I one of the cases I made for Haskins playing sooner rather than later. Is You know they're gonNA have improved defense we think and that'll keep them in games and not put all the pressure on the quarterback in the offense offense. How's that worked out anyway Look Jay and all of them? They're just a symptom of the disease disease that is Snyder Allen. Jay's not going to be the coach next year. I personally believe that Bruce's going with him. I was wrong about both of those things last year. There's no chance get some wrong about Jay this year. I could be wrong about bruce but I believe there's going to be a whole new group reporting to Dan next year and I mentioned this on the radio show this morning wing in some people thought are are you reporting this. No this is not a report. This is a hunch a right. It's a hunch based on understanding. The Dan Snyder doesn't have a lot of places to turn turn and in these situations in the past he turns to Joe Gibbs and if he turns to Joe Gibbs here Joe Gibbs is going to tell them to hire todd bowles calls is my guess. I don't know that fact and by the way I'm a big fan of Todd Bowles but I think joe is gonNA probably make a couple of GM recommendations may be a Louis Riddick. I don't know maybe Martin Mayhew. I am somebody like that and he's going to push for Todd Bowles to be higher. Todd Bowles was in for an interview for the defensive coordinator position because of Joe and Doug Williams Todd didn't did not want to work for this organization all right he did not but for head coaching opportunity. Maybe maybe maybe that's who they turn to next year. I'll get to the game take in a moment a quick word about mybookie dot. Ag Oh Gee this is a place for you to wager on and if you've been playing my plays and I cautioned you that my run that I'd been on is eventually early going to come to a screeching halt and probably talk some of you out of taking my picks going into last weekend and I apologize for that because I was twelve and three over the weekend but we're where you bet is just as important at times as who you bet on. You need to know that you're betting what they reliable book. That's going to give you fast payouts great lines great vague and fees and that's my bookie dot. Ag I wouldn't be telling you guys to bet with them if they weren't among the best if you're the Kinda guy that that wants to just bet a little you know what you can try their parlays in in try to hit big on those in and multiply your winnings with those parlays. Those are hard to hit Aaron and I both know that you know straight bets are really the best chance you have and you try to go somewhere fifty five to sixty percent and you you know you have fun. I'm doing it but sometimes you just want those big swings but sometimes you know what sometimes the best swings are those money line parlays with underdogs. Try put in two or three of those the money line underdogs together and see what that pays out. I'll tell you what my picks yesterday. I actually played some of those teams on the money line straight up on the money money line not as as part of a money line parley but had the panthers on the money line. I had the titans on the money line. I also had the bills in the lions on the money line. I had the browns and the money line and in the bills and lions were damn close my only loser yesterday was the Redskins by the way I'm really upset that I didn't give out Tampa. What how did I miss giving the buccaneers? I played them personally plus the nine. You know what I've said about nine point dogs that are capable of scoring in the past that they're always really good value in the public was was on the rams. I don't know how I missed that one but typically with a nine point favorite nine point underdog against the team that everybody is convinced will win gives will throw like the rams into a three team teaser where they're getting nine point so all they have to do is win. The game and I can't tell you how many times that doesn't happen and it didn't what happened yesterday. TAMPO won the game outright. I Apologize Twelve twelve and three actually should have been thirteen and three yesterday should have given out the bucks anyway join now and Mybookie bookie will double your first deposit use my promo code to get it Kevin. DC That's K. E. V. I N. D. C. that'll activate the offer Promo Code Kevin. DC after going to mybookie dot ag you play you win. You get paid all right. Let's get to the game. Take attention. Pigeon is Game Day all right. We gotta go through this cause. It's tradition to go through everything that happened the day before in the game aim and list the things that I liked in the things that I didn't like I'll start with Quinton Dunbar without him yesterday. The defense would have likely given up another thirty plus. This dunbar was really good like you can see what they were missing by not having him out there. He really anticipates well. He can run. He's got length. The length unhelped some clothes you you buy their gotTa have speed closing speed or if you don't have great closing speed if you've got long arms arms that sort of reduces the need to be super fast because you can reach out Dunbar really anticipates while he's he can run too but he's got great. Lamp and Dunbar was really really good. Yesterday you know the defense gave up seventeen. The pick six from peppers was the other touchdown down which is much less than their season average but I'm not about to say that the defense played well and I think if you say that you know you're out of your mind I mean Quinton Dunbar. Two interceptions exceptions were well done you know the first one came on some pressure by the way from Tim settle maybe should have been on this list because he also had a forced fumble from that in the the second half on that giants back the new back that they had Hillerman but yeah Dunbar's on the list. The defense didn't play well more on that coming up but I thought Dunbar was was really good in you know one of the things that the defensive coaching staff did shocker they adjusted the something poor Fabien Moreau just could not check sterling shepherd so Dunbar one on shepherd and one of his picks was off shepherd. I don't know if that was a ray Horton decision or or maybe they just got matched up based on defense but Dunbar was really the you know one of maybe two things I liked from the day he saved them from May much worse beat down. If you can imagine that it could have been much worse honestly trust trust. We should just be on this list every week. You know right now. Now I think tress way is leading the league in Gross Punting I'M GONNA. I'M GONNA look at that right now. Because the updated stats should be out there yes he's number one in the league in gross punting yards average fifty two point three and he's number one in the league in net average expressway is having a pro bowl season so far good for him. He's been really a terrific punter for them over a few year period now and he's having a great season and getting plenty of opportunities by the way the Redskins haven't punted the most in the league you know in those first two weeks they were really moving the ball a little bit they moved the ball in the second half last week but another really good day from tress way all right. Let's get to the list of things that weren't very good. the redskins right now are the third most penalized team in the League twelve penalties yesterday sixteen called so four were declined declined it just it's a reflection of the Jay Gruden go along to get along. You know mindset that just isn't conducive have to being a really strong head coach in a sport like professional football. You've got to have some discipline and the teams undisciplined in so many ways as it's reflected in penalties for sure you just can't you know lineup in try to compete in a game and have twelve penalties seven in the the first quarter. I believe it. Was You know you had norman lined up offsides on first and goal two yard loss play you know they put in drawn Christian and a heavy heavy package Peterson has a decent run and he's called for holding Moreau had a hold on a sack on third nine Landon Collins who we will get to here in more detail he got called for holding Norman had a face mask Morgan Moses of course got cold called for holding courses of course.

"You want it you need it. It's what everyone's talking about the Kevin Sheehan show now. Here's Kevin talking down to Thompson and did I like Jibril peppers. I think he's going to be a really good player. You know I think the giants felt that he was going to be a really good player. Which is why they didn't have a problem? Letting Landon Collins go boy. He was great yesterday in that circled payback game the first twelve good afternoon everybody as you you start to listen to this good evening if you get to tonight or good morning if you get to it tomorrow there's nothing good about yesterday was another train wreck of a game name by a train wreck of a franchise. I'm not even sure all of you even watched the game the one thing I've become convinced of over the years and I know we've had this conversation before errands here by the way and I'm here and we're going to have Michael Phillips from the Richmond Times Dispatch Michaels one of my favorite on the beat for the Redskins concealed join us here shortly I I am convinced having done what I do for a long period of time now that winning winning and people interested in talking about the lack of it are two totally different things like many of you actually really enjoy the wallowing in misery together on the day after these things some of you who aren't fans of the team really enjoy listening to us and the pain that were in in the emotional wreck that we turn into during these redskins regular dealers seasons and you enjoy that conversation when I first became a huge sports talk radio fan I was working in a completely different different industry. I spent a lot of time in New York and I would listen to Wfan in New York all the time. If I were in the car on Long Island I had a lot of stuff going on way out on the island in sometimes I'd be in the car on the ally for like forty five minutes to an hour and I would listen to Mike and the mad dog you know just just beat up on the Yankees who are terrible at the time or the mets who were having a tough you know season and they'd sit there and they'd be miserable together with all all of their callers talking's in some cases Aaron about one half inning or wanted back for like five hours which you can get away with in New York and I remember thinking thinking to myself as a non met were non Yankee Fan men. This is entertaining doesn't matter that I'm not a fan of either team and I hear from a lot of you who are not redskin fans all the time that you enjoy listening to this year in and year out I will tell you it's not fun living it as a fan knowing doing that your favorite lifetime lifelong organization is among the worst businesses in all of business like if if they were to rank you know what are the most inept businesses in North America the redskins would be on one of those top fifty lists. They're just they. They are a complete and utter disaster top down wrought is what it is Anyway I. I'LL L. Start with this. I don't know why in the Hell anybody in that organization other than maybe Jay who thanks. I don't know he's got to win games. I don't know why anybody with any decision making authority in that decision would why they would even consider playing case S. keenum or Colt McCoy next week against the Patriots because why the kids too fragile can't handle the adversity you know if that's the case you may already know that the owner got it wrong. You know on draft night when he came in and said. I don't care what your board says. We're taking Haskins. I personally personally based on what I've seen. I think he's got thicker skin than that. I think he's tougher than that. I think he's confident I think his psyche is not super. Fragile you know we talked about during training camp in over the summer that if case keenum or Colt McCoy whomever it was that was going to more likely than not start the season that you know if they got off to a good start they were too in two or three and one or even if they were one in three but they were playing well in the quarterback was playing well and they were losing close games but offensively they were really you know playing pretty well. Then that would have been a context for all right you know. We don't need to play him right now. Let's stick this thing out. See if we can go have ourselves a season but this season is over it's done. They're not just oh in four. They are a hideous looking. Oh in four a no chancer La- yesterday pretty much a no chancer in the last two before it the highlight of the season was seventeen. Nothing second quarter at Philly in the opener. That's it so now. It's about the future. It's no longer anger about this year. There is no pressure to win games any more this year. The rest of the season is about rebooting and finding finding out who's going to be a part of your future specifically and head coach and at quarterback right Dwayne Haskins if he's not ready. Get him ready if he can't handle a full gruden playbook cut the playbook by two thirds if he doesn't give your team team the best chance to win games who gives a shit. He's got to be ready next year in the year after that to win games not not this year and by the way if he's not the right guy we need to know that now the draft next year is loaded with quarterbacks loaded with quarterbacks and as far as those who would prefer did the team avoid putting him out there against the Patriots for his first start. That doesn't make any sense to me. The Patriots should be used in viewed as an opportunity for this guy. It should be embraced a a chance for him to go against the best right from the beginning. I've not sense from him that he is afraid that he's got a fragile makeup. He he played at the Ohio State University in much bigger games than the Games. He's GonNa play in the rest of the year by the way in much the bigger stadiums in front of big crowds in front of bigger television audiences at Ohio state instead of fearing the worst for him against the Patriots why not consider the upside of him potentially playing well. I just look at this as a complete no loose situation for him. Nobody's expecting him or the team to play well so there's only an upside no downside if I were Jay or Kevin O'CONNELL preferably Kevin O'CONNELL connel because I think that's another area where the franchise needs to learn whether or not they've got a diamond in the rough whether or not they have the new Sean McVeigh but I would be super aggressive live with him. I'd start him. I'd be aggressive with him. I'd put him in two minute offense right from the jump. That's a limited playbook. You run no huddle you run screens bubbles. Hitches cheese draws get him into the shotgun where he's comfortable. Let him throw it. You most of you know that I was not a big fan of Dwayne Haskins askings as a first round guy. I wasn't Cooley wasn't either. I was the first one cooling and I will admit this because he had not yet watched the tape on Haskins. I said to him towards the end of last college football season I said Haskins. We're talking about him as a potential first overall pick. I don't see it man and I don't see it in cool. He goes. I I'll get to the tape eventually and one of the first things he did after he watched the first set of tape on on Haskins. Z. called me up and he said I don't see it either. I don't see it. This is a project. This is a long term project. So most of you know how I felt about him to begin with but you know what what I've seen since he got here is I see a guy with a lot of confidence. I see a guy who's a better athlete than I think I gave him credit for being he's got huge sizes is is we know big time arm I I see a guy that you're not going to really put in jeopardy by playing against the Patriots you know oh I I don't see that I could be dead wrong and maybe the way to pursue it with them or move forward with him is to be super conservative and if that's what they deemed d- to be the best way I'm fine with that. I just want him to play. I want them to come up with a plan for him. That makes him think that they believe in him. Don't make him uncomfortable with him. Needing to adapt to your plan a plan that might be better for keenum or Colt the priority now he's the future and Haskins is for now much more of the future than the other two quarterbacks on the roster. Let's see what he's got. Let's see how he handles adversity. Let's see how he competes. Let's see what kind of leadership qualities he has. Let him play away the remaining twelve games so he can be reasonably evaluated if he doesn't play the evaluation on him is theory. You know it's Whiteboard. It's like this is what we think he can be. No put him out there so you have real practical application practical evaluation if he plays the final twelve games that's three months of games three months of practices retakes every first-team rep three months of film three months of meetings. You don't think they're going to learn more about him that way than from him running the Scout Team it look I I don't i. I don't know that twelve games means. You're GONNA have a definitive opinion about him but I know that six games aiden is good as twelve. You'RE GONNA find out enough about him now. As far as the coaching staff goes. I don't think that anything's GONNA happen personally. I I'm sure I'll be shocked muskie still here next weekend but I'm hearing that everybody's staying for now. I don't understand why but anyway did. Did you hear what Jay Gruden said Aaron in the Post Game Presser he said Man Owen four is a big surprised everybody everybody out here well. It's not a big surprise anybody else Jay and I'm glad it's a big surprise to you. You should never go in thinking that you're you're not very good. I understand that mindset but they or pick dead last in the division by just about everybody or best-case third in the division and had the longest super bowl odds in the League league except for Miami and Arizona but typical is the case that reality is not something that the brilliant braintrust of Snyder Allen ever deal with you know they just don't understand there's no self-awareness in this organisms organization none they should have been in reboot mode as I suggested and advocated in January but you know Dan and Bruce Convinced each other that if not for the injuries they would've won a super bowl last year. Were close as Bruce said we're close how ridiculous that mindset we all knew it some of Oh. You truly tried to argue with me when I said this is not going to be a playoff season over and over. I said that this is not going to be a playoff season. I wanted the Alex Smith nuclear. We're option. I wanted to take all dead money this year. I wanted to cut Josh Norman. I wanted to cut Vernon Davis. I wanted to cut the Mason Foster ZAC Brown Colt McCoy. I mean I who are the other stacy McGee. I might be forgetting somebody. I wanted Trent traded. I wanted Carrigan trated..

"I radio uh-huh in Boston where he does a Monday morning. Show on Mondays he was asked about Antonio Brown and he said I have a lot of personal feelings none of which I really care to share it's difficult situation. That's kind of how I feel but then he went on not specifically mentioning Antonio Brown by name. Remember Brady really endorse this there were reports when he got cut the other day that there were some players in the locker room that today. CBS been a model citizen since the time he arrived in New England and they liked him and they were very upset. The team moved on without him. It was the text messages that did admit if he doesn't send those text messages to that that artist maybe he ends up being put on the exempt list for whatever the NFL uncovers via you know investigation but anyway brady sets a few things this morning that were very interesting. Here's what Brady said this morning quote. There's a lot of human elements as a player as a person. I care deeply about my teammates. I want everybody to be the best they can be from the day. I started with this team even back in college. Try to provide leadership and you try to care for people. Try to provide whatever you think you can help them reach their highest potential whatever the situation it is. I've had a lot of teammates over the years so you invest not just your ahead but your heart you invest your soul. That's what makes a great team that that's what makes a great brotherhood Brotherhood so I think in the end the endearing trait straight about sports for me is the relationships I get to build because they're very meaningful. That's at the heart I think philosophically of my life. It's really about great relationships and seeing in guys from all different backgrounds. I think it brings us all together in so many ways he continued. Everyone needs something a little bit different different. Everyone's upbringing was a little bit different. Everybody's emotional states are different. How do you contribute whether someone is hurting physically mentally emotionally howdy he provides them with they may need in order to support them to help us all grow and evolve not only as individuals not only as members of the team not only as members of the family not only as members of a community but everybody has different challenges remember. He started this answer by saying. I'm not gonNA talk about Antonio Brown but I think he's talking about Antonio Brown and maybe a lot of other teammates that have had troubles along the way during his career he continues. I think you recognize those challenges. I just try to provide them as best as possible and go to bed at night trying to do the best you can do if things don't work out as you hoped and absolutely when you put your heart on the line there's emotions that come up a lot of things that are not not always in your control but you wake up the next day and try to find hope and optimism he also he kept going on WanNa. Go on and on about you know you know. Life is tough especially based uncertain upbringings and he's you know he said we were. We're in a culture where we want to cash judgment so quickly on people we want to disparage people so quickly and it just speaks to me that a lot of people are probably hurting because when you're not feeling great you want other people to know that. I think it becomes very emotional. really went on and on on radio this morning. This is clearly a response to the Antonio Brown situation. Somebody who's situation. I think has touched him. In in a way remember again. He was very much in support of signing Antonio Brown and took him under his wing remember. We had this conversation last week. He offered Antonio Brown his house to stay until he found him a place. They put his locker near Brady's. I think Antonio Brown's got a lot of issues clearly. He's very troubled. Hopefully he will get the help that he needs and it would be a phenomenal redemption story. If if you were to get the help he needs get the medication needs get whatever he needs and he's back in the League next year by the way a breaking story this morning the Jags you know decided they were not going to trade Jalen Ramsey and he called in sick. Today not doesn't WanNa this show up for practice. I don't I said this on Friday. Why would he not want to be on that team. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to be on that. Jacksonville defense rumor as he has a problem with Coughlin. Everybody's got a problem with Kaufman. Well ask Michael Strahan about his problems with coughlan early on all right final score prediction for Redskins Bears Tonight Bears Twenty Four redskins twenty three. I think it's a close game. I think it's a game. The redskins have a chance to win. I think my footnote I gave this on radio is that the redskins end up with some saks montas sweat ends up with his first and Jay gruden down twenty four seventeen scores late goes for two at Aaron has some analytics guy out there saying you gotta go for two and they don't get it and they lose twenty four twenty three and we're in here talking about an win three-team team but slightly encouraged by the performance. That's my guess who the hell knows. I don't think I'm going to bet the game though if I had to bet it I bet the over because everybody's going to be on the under in this game. Don't you think oh absolutely yeah so maybe over. That's why twenty four twenty three gets you over. That's forty seven seven and the numbers forty one and a half forty two somewhere around forty one forty two depending on the book there all right. That's it for today. Tommy will be with me tomorrow. Obviously we will recap the game. enjoy the rest of the day and the game tonight..

"Do they ever really good defense is whether a factor or field conditions of factor is wind whatever it is. I mean could win on the PAT be an issue lots of different things are play into it so John Harbaugh is GonNa. Learn here pretty quickly that that he cannot just go with the math that there's context here and down thirty to nineteen when you've missed two in a row you kick the extra point with Justin and Tucker. I don't care what that propeller head in your in your booth with your offensive coordinator's telling you what to do you kick to make it a ten point game so that you weren't down thirty to nineteen having to go to if you score another touchdown dimiss again. We're going to have so many coaching blunders tomorrow. There were so many all weekend long before I get to redskins skins beat bears if wanted to mention this quick story that Scott Allen had yesterday in the Post. I don't know if it was in today's version or yesterday's. I read it online online. Scott Allen writes the DC bog which Dan used to right Dan Steinberg. He did an interview with booger. McFarland booger is on McCall the night with Joe Tour. I can't stand Joe Tests tour. I'm not personally. I just don't think he's very good he's way too. He's way too excitable. He's way too over the top. Everything's way too dramatic for me. It's just not my cup of tea too subjective thing. Some of you may like test. Tour is a lead guy on Monday night football. I don't couldn't stand the job did remember when he hosts college football final air for what like half of the season and then they got rid of Erin that show was the best ever when it was reese and it was Holtz and it was mark may such a great show I mean it's not that bad right now with Joey Galloway and who else is on that show now. It's a it's. It's a much better show now but anyway you know when Monday night football comes to town. It's not unusual that you know reporters reach out when interview one of the two guys or three guys and do a story on it and Monday night football's not what it used to be. I mean Sunday night football's the bigger night for prime time football but Monday night football when they come to town. It can be a big deal. It's not here I mean. We've had a lot of Monday night. Games over the years but Scott Allen did interview with with Booger McFarland who will will be on the call with tests tour tonight and Booger Booger McFarland set a couple of things that were just were just I rolling opportunities -tunities for all of us. You know first of all when you come into a town is as an analyst. It's better to err on the side of being polite of being nice of being complementary entry of your host which you know tonight. The redskins are the host. They're hosting Monday night. Football and McFarland in store going to be nice to everybody you you know you wouldn't come in as a guest in someone's home saying men. This house's hideous ye you. Your food is terrible and the showers are dirty. You know you come into somebody's home. Even if you think the home is ugly you're not. GonNa say that so booger did the thing that most guests do. He lied first of all he said Bruce who sounds doing a hell of a job all right lie number one but then there was this about Fedex Field Fedex field that dump. We all know out out in landover. He said quote Bugger McFarland. Did it's a great venue just how the entire stadium doesn't really have an open end. It's all all in closed. The crowd noise the fans. It's really turned into one of the iconic venues iconic from from historical standpoint from from just looking at it historically he says even though it may not be the most flashy I enjoyed playing there. I I didn't have a lot of success but overall. I just think there's something about coming and playing there just because of how it's shaped you get a lot of stadiums now like in Tampa in Seattle that are kind of open on one end in Washington. Isn't that way. He likes the weights shaped. Fedex field an iconic venue shape shape. It's got a nice shape to it. You know it's not a pretty but it's not that fat either iconic venue the crowd noise the crowd noise actually Burger has been great. The last couple of home games. I mean loud is shit for that. Philadelphia Finale last year really loud last week for the Dallas Game so so yeah I mean the stadium's really been raucous. the last couple of of Home Games of course not with home fans in the park or not enough of the buffet he never clarify Arafat that but put the redskins have worked. Do you know this. The redskins have worked on silent counts in practice four your home games booger for home games. They've been working on silent counts. Maybe that's why it's conic is the only hope you'll advantage where you have that. Oh Oh well. I know he's trying to be nice but ICONEX a little bit over the top the verse stuff. I did sign him to a five year thirty contract at some point he did so. He's got to be Nice Nice to Bruce real quickly before we get to skins win. If you know the nationals in brewers now really with some space here there four games this clear the cubs I mean the nets would really have to fall apart in the five games against the phillies this week or the three over the weekend against Cleveland and the cubs would have to get super super hot or Philadelphia or the somebody would get super hot to knock him out of the playoffs altogether right now really does look like it's going to be a Milwaukee Washington wildcard game so then it comes down to your the race. This week is for the homefield advantage. lot of people I saw were asking this question about. If they finish in a tie I would go to Milwaukee because they had to had head to head. They beat the nets four games to two in the regular season so that would go to Milwaukee in the brewers of one eighteen twenty two including probably I don't know half of those eighteen if not more been without without Yelich which is really amazing lesser competition but yes yeah and then and you know as far as you know that wild card game which now looks like about a ninety eight percent probability use you really now have gotten to the point point where the the the braves lost. I think over the weekend. The dodgers won yesterday. The dodgers are now four games up on the braves. There was a chance briefly last week where for may be Atlantic grabbed the number one seed and I think that would have been advantaged nats. I know Atlanta's sort of own them but it would have been a team that they were familiar with I'm but now more likely than not the wild card winner between Milwaukee in wash- Washington in a one game wild card a next Tuesday. It'll be a week from tomorrow right. That's the Tuesday used a game correct and what the American League game is that Wednesday night yeah so the winner will face the dodgers in best-of-five and L. D. S. after that but be nice to finish the season. Get wild get that home. Field Milwaukee's got a really good park a really good home field advantage it'll be a night game those wild card games at night primetime. It's not one of those afternoon deals but that'll be exciting mandate to be look where they were at nineteen eighteen thirty one to be more likely than not and I. I'm not jinxing it here come on. They got a four game lead over the cubs. Cubs are reeling. They've lost six in a row. They would really have to the nats would have to go in. I mean anything over the final eight. Three wins probably doesn't their final writings. You know maybe two will get it done but anyway What is interesting about the nets and the brewers were quickly as inside you know the nats have the second best last run differential in the national league behind the dodgers the brewers the Nazis the nats run differentials plus one nineteen the brewers minus two MHM. They shouldn't be in this position but man. They gotten hot all right. Let's get to the Redskins win. If all right the REDSKINS will win tonight if they do the following things first of all. They've got to throw it to move it. I know that there have been some stories out there about Adrian Peterson against the bears. The redskins are not running the football in Chicago tonight. You cannot run the football against that team that team. Let me just make it really clear because we've had a lot of conversations about you know the bears offense struggling their defense is elite beat their front seven ee leap one of the best in football and they are physical and they are fast. Redskins are not running the football tonight not with their sorry ass run scheme. They don't know how to run. The football. Could Adrian Peterson break three tackles in the backfield to pick up five live six yards. Yes is that the way you're going to make a living tonight. No they've got to throw it to move it and they can't do it with a bunch of dropback back. Jay's got a call a sharp game right. You've got to get quick game. Going you. GotTa get bubbles screens. Take advantage of what Chicago does a lot lot. Chicago plays a lot of zone defense. The skins in the first two games have been pretty good at attacking zone schemes. KEENUM's been good good at finding the holes and in getting the ball out quickly. This is a way the redskins can move the football tonight. You gotTA throw it to move it all right attack their weakness and they don't have many of them but they're secondary's probably their weakness defensively any Jackson's really good now. He's also a little bit banged up coming into this one Amara at one corner fuller at the other. They got ha Bac Their Haha Clinton dix all right. That's the way you're you move it tonight. You gotta move the football by throwing the football. The redskins win tonight if they protect case keenum. It's been interesting about these first. Two Games Ames's they've actually done a pretty good job of protecting him just two sacks and two games some hurries and hits but if I were to tell you that the offensive line a two and a half weeks ago was GonNa do it was only going to allow two sacks of case keenum. You would have taken that in love with it. You know the left side in particular pen in flowers. You've done a pretty decent job in pass fro. The running backs have done a nice job in pass fro but that was against Philli in Dallas both good defenses ince's Chicago's pass rush with Khalil Mack in company a completely different deal elite is what they are the only way to move it tonight. I believe we'll be through through the air and to move it through the air. They've got to protect case keenum. Protecting him is paramount. The play calling will need to protect him not by running the football for minus two in setting up second and twelve but by calling pass plays at allow keenum to read zone coverage figure out where the receivers are going to sit down and get it out quickly. The redskins will win tonight if they get off the field on third down. They got to do a better job of getting off the field on third down through three weeks. I'm sorry through two weeks. The redskins sixty four point three percent third down defense is is the third worst in NFL history through the first two weeks. It has been a disaster defensively now. The good news Chicago Chicago is not very good through the first two weeks converting on third down offensively. They're six for twenty six third worst in the League in converting offensively on on third down. That's been an issue for them. You know the Redskins have to get off the field on third down now. trubisky unlike Wentz in Prescott can get full of a little bit the Redskins have to do a good job of figuring out how to make trubisky think in hesitate hill throwing up for grabs against some zone covers that he's is reading his man the bears by the way and I mentioned this have more weapons than you think offensively Tar Cohen Cordell Patterson David Montgomery the rookie from Iowa. I was stayed Alan Robinson. Anthony Miller trae Burton's coming back. You know off Sports Hernia Surgery. It's been slow but they think he's healthier this week and by the way the bears are looking at the redskin defense thinking they can get healthy tonight's the night that they can get trubisky rolling because he hasn't played well. They can get his confidence up. The redskins have to get off the field on third down the last two weeks. Just watching Dallas take the ball early in the second quarter and never give it back the rest of the way five scoring drives and then a walk the clock off drive to end the game that was just in just painful painful with the cowboys did to the redskins starting in the early second quarter seven plays ninety seven yards touchdown touchdown. Levin plays eighty three yards touchdown nine place seventy five yards touchdown eleven play seventy five yards touchdown. That's four straight drives eleven play sixty gate yard field goal. They had a penalty there. That's five. Sri Drives with the score. Ten plays fifty four yards touchdown..

"You know peter king pretty much said that <hes> when when when this discussion i know that's my point so anyway. I thought it was kind of curious that the backup quarterback who hasn't played it down for for this team yet in a regular season game had had an autograph framed jersey for auction and i don't know what it went for. I'm sure who went for more. I don't know i'll tell you this <hes> before for two thousand twelve the summer i went to a convention up in baltimore sports collectors convention. There were two helmets next to each other. One was a redskins helmet signed by rippin thighs men and williams uh-huh one was the redskins helmet signed for three going for the same price. Rarely yeah wow well. There is still a wild a group of passionate r._g. Three was wronged people. Oh yeah that that group exists. It's it's a small group. It's not a big a group but there are delusional r._g. Three was railroaded in wronged by the organization people out there. You know amy trask who who was front office for the raiders. <hes> on twitter wants a coup- about a year or so ago. She tweeted something about <hes> griffin that made it seem like the redskins had pretty much ruined them. <hes> and i tweeted back to her. I said listen with all due respect. This guy wasn't wasn't a victim. He was a carrier yeah okay and and she said well. I'm sure there were a lot of people at fault and she's right. There were a lot of people at fault right there on this but but he's the owner and him he was not nearly as he was no victim so i probably just opened up pandora's box here but i just was writing down all the jersey z. Numbers that would be considered for retirement. Okay you ready yeah. <hes> going sort of in order sequential orders number seven is certainly i. I put it on the list of we should discuss whether or not this jersey gets retired number. Nine is an absolute lock. Yes nine is ah hall of famer. Sonny's jersey gets retired. Seventeen doug williams bill kilmer does not even get debated. Now that is not a retired drought. It would be dug over billy because he's a super bowl. Winner twenty-eight is not even discussed. It's absolutely retire. Jess darryl green jersey forty forty two isn't even discussed charlie is retired forty. Three is not debated. Larry brown's jersey available for anybody that wants to wear it sorry he was a one time time m._v._p. Was one of my favorite players as a kid but larry brown's jersey's not ribose a lock at forty four bobby mitchell is a lock at forty nine chris hamburgers jersey is open and by the way has been warning was never even protected right in the first place andre collins had fifty five other other players have had fifty five then we get into the sixties and you talk about jake in grim grimm's the hall of famer. Jake's the player that most fans think should it's been a hall of famer before grim. This is tough. I mean jake's both of these numbers have been given out. These numbers have not been protect ears but rim is is a hall of famer yes. I don't think i would retire either. One of those jerseys i in fact i don't even know if either one of them would be in eta level higher than joe would but i don't know this is it. It seems like the hall of fame should at least be the dividing fighting line sam huff no read signal <hes> dexter no and eighty one hundred percent absolutely so the ones that are and sammy baugh hundred percent cent. Yes so the ones. I've got is retired. Jerseys would be sonny's number nine darrell green's twenty-eight sammy boss thirty three charlie taylor's forty-two ribose forty four bobby mitchell's forty nine and art monks eighty-one seven jerseys retired period now the biggest one missing that would be a big heavy debate would be joe's. I would put in there okay so you'd have joe's absolute. I think i would too but the others are slam dunk. No someone's gonna debate you on it. I agree jos jos would get debated as you know as would jacoby in grimm's and in some would say sam hoff's <hes> but sam huff to me is much more of a giant sam huff sam..

"I think they were relieved when their names were mentioned and there were or no booze was there loud applause there was polite applause so golf's it was barely golf clap of really it was it was as lame a welcome home luncheon as i've ever seen and what was interesting is before the lunch and they they have an auction a silent auction to raise money for the foundation. We're there no names written down on the sheets. No no no. I'm sure that you numbers race law money because there were a lot of cool stuff of roku what was cool that one of the things i noticed that they had to jersey's autographed jerseys. He probably had more but specifically the foster no they. They had a number seven by <hes> a former n._f._l. M._v._p. Quarterback who led the redskins to the super bowl hold on for a second because i i know the number seven now is to win haskins i can't i can't come up with it. His jersey was framed autograph. Well good. We want jodi to autograph in frames. He's i bet he's more interested in signing number seven jerseys now than he's ever been been the other one was tremendous number seven framed and autographed by the backup quarterback who hasn't played one down for this team yet in a regular season game but that's not gonna be. I know that was his number in the preseason or is that going to be number in the regular season narrowly so apparently sell. Do you agree with me. That shows not happy about the court's not he's not happy he was not. He was put in a no win situation ridiculous. I i had him on the show two weeks ago. I told him that i said you know you don't have to respond to this but i'm just going to tell you this. That was not your decision to make and they a puts you in a very awkward position and you know he went on. I like twain talked to dwayne and whatever there's no doubt in my mind that he didn't say this to me. I am taking a guess here but my guess is that joe was not happy about being put into that position and that be more likely than not he would have preferred that somebody you know maybe step in and say no. This isn't going to happen this way. Joe's one of our protected detected jerseys. Here's the bottom line. We've talked about this before either retire their jerseys or don't make them all of this. I think only one and that sammy baugh and many many others have many others have been protected and by the way protected you know or retired as a longtime lifelong redskin fan. I don't want anybody wearing number forty four. I don't want anybody wearing number twenty eight. I don't want anybody wearing number eighty one again i agree. I want these jerseys retired now. How it came down to a discussion about which jersey's got retired in. Which wouldn't you know and you're trying to make truly like the elite highest level players greatest players of all time joe would be in the discussion but he's not a slam dunk like the guys i just mentioned. He's very close in hall of famer exactly exactly but he's very close he'd be tired. If it was me i think i would retire to but but it would be more debatable than rigaud. Mom i think green sunny. I think it would be more debatable. <hes> outside the beltway then it would it would among redskins fans. I think redskins fans would would not debate the issue about joe people from the outside would say why would you retirees jersey..

"Through their national contacts not local contacts. That's been a given under this regime from the start. I mean the owner owned the radio station asian that i worked for for fourteen for twelve years all right. We were the rights holding flagship for that station and we never got anything from them. When they leak they leaked to national guys not local guys most of the reporters in this market know that and understand surprised that anybody would suggest the the possibility that the redskins would leak something through me or anybody else locally. They've never done it before certainly not through me and i don't think they ever will to be honest with you anyway. Anyway i stand by what i said yesterday and as i predicted it was in everyone's best interest to deny which is what i expected and that's fine. They should deny <hes> also by the way you know enough about that but i will also say that. I think they should trade him. I think it's clear that the the redskins may consider trading reading them and hopefully bruce will be patient and wait for a blockbuster opportunity. I actually think so far from my perspective. He's handling this pretty well. Oh but you know this has to finish well before any of us. Give give real credit to him anyway. Let's get to the game tech. They they attention kevin this game day. This was you know what they liked to refer to is. The all important third preseason game the dress rehearsal game which really actually gotten to the point where you know a lot of these n._f._l. Teams aren't playing starters even in this game anymore. The falcons did on offense and defense a lot of their starters anyway. Julio jones wasn't out there but you know calvin ridley was out there and hooper was out there and matt ryan was out there and so new is out there and mckinley was out there they they had a lot of their starters the redskins you know we saw the what we believe to be the starters right now as they will be pegged in on opening day against the eagles. Let me mention one thing about the eagles game. I said yesterday i think i said it on the podcast. I know i said it on the radio. Show i like the redskins in the opener against that's the hills and so i played them yesterday plus nine and what i noticed this morning erin is it was down eight and a half. There's some sharp money coming in on the redskins for the opener. It's not an indication of the way i feel about the season. I just think there might be an opportunity in week one anyway. The big takeaway from the game last night is that case keenum went out there with the starters play full half with basically the starters and then came out after halftime enjoying haskins went in and played with the backups and so that's a clear cut indication of john told me on the radio station yesterday her day and that is the case keenum is going is going to start or it certainly at the very least a clear indication that case keenum is ahead of joint haskins and so unless cole mccoy comes back and get super healthy..

"Unequivocally. Not true was the precise wording sue carry on look. I mean i'm not gonna knock his sources <hes> i. I just know that for me. You know i'll say a couple of things <hes> i'm sticking with my story. My sources on this one have never steered me wrong in the past. Is most of you know. I don't have this kind of stuff a lot but when i've had it in the past i've been right and i feel the same about this one. The other thing too is what some suggested like pro football football talk that somehow the redskins were leaking this information through me and j p. That's not true. The redskins have never leaked information through me not in the past not now not ever nor will they by the way trust me on this now. I did hear from them. I heard heard from them as i expected to <hes> to tell me that it was wrong. I knew they would deny it but if you look at my recent track record on stories involving the redskins it's not like like i've had a lot of these stories to begin with but when i've had them a i've been right be they haven't been the stories. A team would ever want to leaked to me. The team would never want to leak the josh norman headphones in new orleans at halftime story all right. Come on use some commonsense. You think the teams seems really gonna leak that one. I had that one. It was right. A lot of people were very upset about that. You know early on there weren't denials necessarily from the team on that <hes> but you know some other reporters who i guess were upset that they didn't have it. You know it's refuted it early on which was fine. I expected that too but that's not the story. That's going to get leaked by the team through me. They're not leaking anything through me also by the way seriously for anybody locally that would suggest i for one second that this kind of thing would be leaked through j p or me intentionally by the team. You haven't been paying attention attention. The redskins never leak anything locally. Nobody locally gets anything from them. When they leak they leak exclusively sleep through.

"Actually we had field remember a few weeks ago yeah. I'm on the podcast <hes> he's got ties to new england and we i believe i'm used to work with the patriots yeah. He shot it down as well <hes> so anyway <hes> i wanted to respond to that because i did mention after i said yesterday the patriots were willing to offer their twenty twenty first round pick for trent williams but we're told by the redskins it wasn't enough. I said and i predicted that this would be denied. I'm by everybody. I'm it was in anybody's interests for this to get out and i knew the redskins would deny it and mentioned that <hes> i also referred to this offer. We're in the past tense. Not the present tense meaning you know as i said yesterday if you followed the chronology of all of this trent williams trade talk doc if you weeks ago a patriots beat writer j._p. Finley a few others suggested that trent williams that teams had inquired about trent williams. G._p.'s reports said three teams including the patriots hit inquired about trent williams <hes> and then after those reports a few days later <hes> there we're follow up reports that suggested that the patriots weren't interested at all and what i said yesterday is that's that makes sense to me because they were interested and they offered a first and then when the redskins rebuffed that offer and wanted more than they weren't intre interested anymore so that level reporting made sense anyway my report but yesterday was the patriots were willing to offer first round pick for trent williams but the skins wanted more than that and i'm sticking with that <hes> i. There's no nothing that <hes> that i <hes> have. There's no conversation that i've had since then that would make me want to rescind that at all or think differently about g._p._a. E._p._a. the same street g._p. Furthered the story by saying the redskins were also asking for a first and second. He had the detailed information as to what the redskins skains wanted <hes> but anyway <hes> these reports j._p.'s mine <hes> were were refuted. Ian rappaport said this is false unequivocally..

"Somebody. He tweeted this through me, and it was a guy from Long Island who called any clearly a Redskins fan who wanted to weigh in on thighs men, and the number, you know, debate from earlier this week, and here's how that call went. This is why the Redskins all the Redskins. Bit numbers should be retired. And it's really not that complicated. Okay. You put Joe ties Ming who was a Super Bowl MVP and the first quarterback doing the Super Bowl this franchise where he's gotta take a call from a minute. Pick asking for his number. That is buffoonery. Okay. Nobody can pay the New York Yankees. Because Nikki now, okay. The reality is nobody should be wearing non number down number. Dalley? Dave. That's georgia. Numbers and honor them properly the. Wave is uniform and do this giant satisfaction? And we. Misery and now. Number. Guys. Different numbers. That's my take guys. Sorry. I had to be. So that. It's so funny because I'm gonna tell you right now. What my take was I I'm not I'm not a jersey guy. I'm not typically moved by these discussions. I mean, I I did a lot on it because it was a topic. And I guess I would prefer for them to just simplify it. In say, we got some retired jerseys and everything else is available. And I also think it's the organizations call not Joe's call I don't think they should put him in in that spot in that awkward spot. Now this guy. I mean, the Sean Taylor we shouldn't have newer giant safety. You know, asking for that jersey. When he said it that way about Sean Taylor. I actually felt in that moment. God damnit. He's right. I mean, the cat just give out and I couldn't cared less re. And I and if we see twain Haskins wearing number seven in the opener against the eagles. I don't think I'm gonna be that emotional about it. But sometimes you hear a take from a call. Or or another, you know show host. And you're like, you know, what maybe I do feel that way. Now, you can't retire all the numbers that he wants to retire. I mean, he forgot the big ones like sunny and Rigaud, and I don't even think he mentioned monk, but you can't retire. Everybody's number 'cause you'd have no numbers left boat. What's your I was curious as to what you thought about this debate earlier in the week? Well, not a Super Bowl MVP Riggins with the that Super Bowl and he's not in the hall of fame. But I do agree that size minutes. Putting a very difficult position. When a rookie calls up and says I'd like to wear your number because if Joe says, well, no, I I don't want to do that. He looks like the bad guys. So you know, it's a no win for Joe. I I agree on that. As far as numbers, go..

"When at sixteen to Carolina. I just like let's just play this game. Really quite the where was where was Haskins gonna go. If if the Redskins didn't take him you take sweat at fifteen where's Haskins gonna go to. You know, maybe maybe Denver at twenty. But I don't I don't think that they you know, after they made that trade I think that they were thinking they are good with flacco. They drafted the tight end which flacco needs. He loves tight ends. So maybe it wouldn't have been Denver. It's a good question. I don't I don't. I mean, I'm sitting charts. Chargers twenty eight. No. And here's why. And I thought about it because Philip rivers thirty seven years old at the most I'm thirty six of the same class. So maybe thirty if he wants to play five more years, we don't live in timeframes in the NFL of more than five years and draft quarterback tip play five years after Philip rivers wants to play. And I bet they have a sense of that would the patriot thirty two. No, I think the page, by the way that was a brilliant move by the patriots, which we can get to. But but so what are you saying he wouldn't have gotten picked in the first round? Well, it's really interesting when you get these quarterbacks that don't get picked in the first twenty picks where was he gonna go in the last twelve picks? Look the bottom line and have already said this five to six teams who had perceived quarterback needs passed on them before the rat fast on him, and then you were going to get in. And the thing is you're gonna wrap to one and resort had Murray campaign Cisco taking anybody the giants have gotten their guy, which is another massive mistake in my opinion can heal Jones sick. I think the giants had a shit draft. How about that? I think the raiders had a great job. But I think the giants at shit, Jack. I'm interested to watch Daniel Jones. But I mean, I would never have wanting to teams to your, but yeah, no, I wouldn't take him because here's the thing because it got him in seventeen. He was going to go to seventeen. I I wonder if he would have gone to seventeen I wonder that if it had been Daniel Jones if one of those teams that had perceived quarterback needs like whether it was Denver ten before they made the trade or Cincinnati or Miami. I wonder if they if the giants knew that one of those teams was interested in Daniel Jones. I mean, we talked about it today. It's the perfect transition away from because you like Bill completely comfortable with him behind him. I think some of it had to do with that pandering that you. Gets his little brother there for the next two years, and he will train him and teach him. And then we'll all be happy you cope with Gettleman. But I don't think it's pig, but back to your thing, I didn't even think about that. If the Redskins hadn't taken Haskins at fifteen who was going to take him in the first round whereas gonna go. Again, Denver at twenty possibly, but I don't, but I don't think so I think over if Denver will really wanted to quarterback they would've taken the raiders of taken them. No jogger and hatred. Quarterbacks. Never won with rookie quarterback's. He doesn't wanna play once you propose with rich Gannon. And Brad Johnson. We'll then if you say no on the chargers in the patriots. He wouldn't have gone in the first round. See I think the patriots got the guy that they they got the guy they want. 'cause you they took Mikhail Harry from Arizona state he fits their MO they needed to receiver badly. And by the way, they knew zone was gonna take that guy. Tomorrow. The first big of around. Real quickly before you run the Redskins. Don't have a second rounder now, but they do have to third rounders including that compensatory pick. I mean, I know you've looked at a lot of different players, and we don't have any clue as to who will be there. And who won't I still think that safety and wide receiver to two positions. They're gonna they're gonna look for before Saturday, which means to think you're gonna play Haskins for one second this season you need to give another sabre..

"Let's get to the mock schedule. Have any kind of music knows. That's right. We can't. That's no music. No. No. We haven't music there should be play a bed. You want to bed their leading up to this Gary can play bed, but we never had an open for in. All I think we did. We did. I think we had pomp and circumstance, dancing girls and a live marching band studio. Once I don't think we remember when we had that life. I do remember that this was a big deal. I don't think you should downplay. All right mock, schedule Redskins two thousand gene. What does that? I don't know. I pulled him award music. She sounded pleasant kind of us the have when you're trying to get. What what kind of music? Do you play go to bed at night? I don't play any music. Do you ever do like, you know, the ocean sounds like oh I've done that before? Really? Yeah. It's helpful actually. All right. Nice. Let me give you overall with the Redskins have in terms of their opponents. Of course, they have their division. Opponents giants. The Cowboys eagles home and away. They also play the NFC north this year. That's not going to be easy on paper. Green Bay Chicago. Minnesota and Detroit they play the AFC east, which includes New England. And maybe a very improved jets team. Also the bills and the dolphins who should be weighed down this year. And then the two opponents and a lot of people don't understand how this works every NFC east team plays the same schedule with the exception of two games out of the sixteen. And that is where you match up with the other divisions in the NFC, and you play the team that finished in the same place that you finished in last year for the Redskins that the whole divisions. Playing the NFC north. But then in the NFC south in the NFC west the NFC south opponent will be Carolina for them in the NFC. West opponent will be San Francisco there is an emphasis this year of in this hundred year of the NFL celebrating one hundred years of being a league they have told us that the schedule will emphasize some national television rivalry games. So I've I've used that as a way to get the Redskins into some national television appearances, by the way every team in this goes back. I think three years now every team is guaranteed a Thursday night game as part of the Thursday night package, really for competitive reasons. So that a team that everybody has to face that short short work. We now, you you you, you know, so much about this scheduling, I'm already blown away by your knowledge. It's pretty remarkable. But you know, when you talk about this hundred year celebration at. That league wants to do with rivalries people really think about this that much because the first one that would come to mind with the Redskins is the Cowboys. Right. But that's only fifty years old. I mean, if we're going back to old school beginning of the NFL. It's Redskins giants who played each other in the first NFL championship game the Redskins ever played in nineteen thirty seven. I mean, that's that's the old school rivalry the Redskins. The giants played each other for thirty years before the Cowboys were relevant. Right. So what are you out? Okay. I mean, I in your scheduling to let me wrenching under just going to tell you that. That's great that in the nineteen thirties. The giants the giants and the Redskins celebrating the hundredth anniversary. So you're going back old school. Well, I did not put a Redskins giants game in prime. This. Even mentioned the first game. And he's already got a problem with it. All right. So one of the other thoughts, I gave to the schedule is I think the red skins with their over under number of being six basically predicted to finish near the bottom of the of the NFC that they're not going to end up with as many national television games as they've had in recent years..
