Now i feel like this is kind of getting to their ceiling. This is like a favourable outcome for them. I think it's a fair point by you. That be i was a little rosy. But i still think like okay. Take a winner to away. I still think you're looking at like a nine and eight team I think they'll do better than eight nine. I think you're looking at like nine and eighteen. I think they have a high floor and low ceiling. I think that's what ryan patrick kind of put you so to kind of play my two plus or minus games game with you like you have wins against the bucks. And osei the falcons like you know. Those are the cowboys. The is going to be the cowboys. Those are the ones that i could see on the other way. Certainly the bucks game. The cowboys are so contingent on like you know. Football's very different december. But those are the two that i could kind of play jump rope a little bit the two losses you have to washington that i could almost easily not easily but more easily. See the way like. "Paid guest Great conversations with adam over the years adam is the nfl reporter. Make no mistake. I mean i don't know how many twitter followers he has now. But adam gets it right more often than anybody. And he is the go-to for most nfl fans when it comes to information with that said. Let me be clear about this if you listen to this interview. She says multiple times how much she Enjoys it how much she appreciates the way. He's handling it. She referred to it as Thanking him for providing a safe space for her first interview in this kind of of a sit down format. This was a soft landing as we call it in the trade adams. A good interviewer. Adam obviously is phenomenal at what he did does And there were a couple of moments including the one one of the two. That i'm gonna play for you where i think he did a pretty good job in following up but this was soft landing material for Four tonya snyder. You know those of us that work in this market and those of you out there who are fans of the team and have lived the day to day drama for years upon years. We know what questions to ask in and how to respond to things that are said much more so than somebody who is a national reporter and adams super plugged in but this was a soft landing it was for tanya. She admitted for all intents and purposes. And look adam in this first interview with her you could tell she was a little bit nervous and and certainly I think that there was some Trepidation in in doing this. So i think he did his best to make her feel as comfortable as she could feel. And i understand that challenge that he had But again soft landing. That's number one number two was this And the stories Moved even further This morning With a tweet and a supposed clarification on this What she said yesterday when she was asked about the name. You'll hear the setup for and then you'll hear adam ask her and get her into a conversation about the team's new name all so basically you're the back of quarterback comes off the bench. And you mentioned about being excited about where this organization is headed. So where is the organization headed tanya to golden standards to the basket I would love to say in. Our goal of course is to be the best franchise in the nfl And we are in you know we're in the nation's capital and we are going to You know we have so many opportunities and new things going on right now. Ninety years this next year as a franchise and we are You know the transition into twenty twenty one twenty two you know. We have new a new name coming up. We can kidney. And every i mean forty two thousand I've looked at each and every name just making sure that we did not miss a great one and you know there are so many different reasons so many names fell out to legal and we looked. We've vetted everything that organization the agency did so We are looking at the role out day. You know relatively soon and we just have to do the timing merchandise so many other things that That are important. Okay lemme net it out on this name thing. for starters And then i wanna get to a second. And i think a more important cut Not extremely important And not extremely surprising but to me a little bit more interesting than the name stuff. I've said this for a month and a half a. I had a source a month month and a half ago. Maybe six weeks seven weeks ago. Tell me they are down to the final name. They have their name. They have three finalists which she referred to and she confirmed And that making. The brand video confirmed But the three finalists really are just a plan which is their number one choice and it is their choice and then they've got a plan b. and plan c. In the event that vetting plan a and their number one choice somehow falls apart. You know somehow. And as i've mentioned here recently They find out in november that the name they selected and in eighteen seventy seven meant something very insensitive with some culture. You know they're they're vetting it out as best as they can but they wanna make sure and they're not going to announce it until Early twenty twenty to sync up with the ninety year anniversary of the team. But they have their name. I've said that for a month. And a half. I have a very solid source on that and i also have a solid source that tells me that the name is not going to be city centric..

But that sucks dude like that is such a terrible name I don't know why. And i don i feel about this but i don't know like i've always thought that the patriots should be that bad teams name because you're in washington. Dc theoretically you know what. I mean But i i mean i get you know i. My point is i wouldn't be opposed to like a a geographical thai. What about the monuments. Just i'm just thinking you know what i mean like this. That's still better than commanders. And defenders is so bad What if they were like the dc defenders instead of the washington defenders. Now wasn't there wasn't the defenders also an xfl. It does sound familiar. I was like why does that sound familiar. I think they were look it up real quick and we can find out if there were and sure enough they were. That was literally i was like. Why is this sound. good yeah They were the xfl team. Good job by me there More like about remembering that totally forgot that. I think carl jones was on that team. If i'm not mistaken Yet but i had nice wander cowboys. Current punter there you go. I like that though. I like a. dc defenders. I like literally shen. There wouldn't mind them going by. Like if you want to drop the washington right with that ultimately i do think like from posterity standpoint. I wanna see them. Keep the same colors. I don't wanna see a whole revamp in that sense So it's it's you got to pick something that makes sense. That's why red wolves works in. And they i mean they if you go red walls. I know that. I don't know how all this works. And what they've decided or whatever but you could use the older helmets that have the just the the letter r. Couldn't you like that. I'm not opposed to that. I like the at washington's watching washington's color scheme is nice like you know i it it can pop in a late afternoon sun. I would say it's unique. I would say. I don't. I don't like it and it's but it's a nice like india in the context that we we live our lives with you like to see what twice a year. It's not boring it's repetitive. It's not like all these teams that use like red black and basic color combination. Yeah so to their credit. Yeah they have that going for them. I think it's kind of ugly can be sometimes certain contexts depending on how things are used but a the i think Red wolves is clear winner. I think everyone has felt that way for a long time. And since like martin getting this done So we're still waiting. I think i don't even think washington football team is that bad. They wanna keep that. I think that's fine But like make a decision at some point again. Just let this thing linear. You have to commit to something. And it's time make a decision already. I also feel bad for washington Say you're in general but like say you're a chase young support right. You wanna have a chase young jersey like do you really wanna buy one right now that you really want to buy a washington football team jersey. Your being at the start you know. They want to draw a line for the kovic year. This is a program that in two years ago in two thousand nineteen they went nine and three two thousand seventeen the alright and four two thousand fifteen the or eight and three so. They've had great campaigns with off last year. Oh and five of young team coming back so i don't even know where to begin with this team. This'll be gail. This'll be one of those. When we get out to the field tonight between five and six we really start to learn. What greeley west has ahead of them so Young team almost no experience coming back. So we're gonna be starting from scratch tonight out there. I think a little youth and enthusiasm. We won't go to age cynicism which is the other part you know it's it. I think that could work in their favor even though they're young team i can't help but think they're raring to go. Yeah sometimes you need to get it. If it's a program that's got a longer drought. Then i think the young guys you know just kinda starting over is a good thing but it seems like this program every other year has a really good year and then the cupboard goes a little bit dry so we'll see what they get very tough conference. You know that state championship last year. And what that meant to the loveland loveland school and program. Yeah it was obviously a very weird season That's been very weird for everybody for a little while here so But yeah we just Did what we have done for a while. Power running team and we have some really good leaders on last year's team which we're working to develop this year But yeah we'll we'll Lose in a few of those senior from last year will be will be tough. But they're they're off to do some good things. Yeah and that's i mean that's what it's all about right. I mean i know high school. Football is a great four years but It's really about setting these kids up for success after they graduate. Yeah exactly zach Normally when you have a state championship you don't see a change in coaching staff But loveland sees that this year Tacos about what the mocks mant and And how you guys think you're going to do this year. Moving moving on as As jeff steps aside and bob heads over to to resurrection christian yeah i. I've been fortunate enough to be coaching. Lots of it side. Those guys for a long time with different youth organizations and then Helping out your loved one.
