It had a very modest beat on revenue. Services missed a little, but products beat on balance your version of this report, good, bad or indifferent. I mean, I'd call it a minus quarter, you know, relative to the Mac. I mean, they beat on iPhones. It's pretty significantly. And in this type of environment, especially in China, I know they're actually gaining share. And I think that's really the narrative here is that this was almost a flex the muscles quarter for cook and Cupertino in what is obviously a difficult backdrop. So where do they go from here? What's the outlook like? Look, I mean, I think right now you have a strong product, cycle behind you. You got 25% of the install base that has not upgrade their iPhone in four years. Services rebounding. And I think this is really Apple powering through the storm. I think they're actually getting stronger in the downturn. That's really the narrative from cook on the conference call. You, I think, have the highest target price for the company on Wall Street. The stock is fared pretty well this year. But it seems to be bumping up against some areas of resistance in this one 68 region. Do you see it as breaking out here or maybe trending sideways for a while? No, I think this starts to actually break out. I think this is a stock that's going to be on its way toward 200 hours after this quarter. Because of the free cash flow story and because of what's happening with growth. And I think this is, it's an inflection point quarter. I think Wall Street wanted to see what Apple was going to say. I'll call The Kentucky Derby of tech earnings season. And they came through with flying colors. I think the stock that will be a pretty significantly tomorrow. Well, unlike other big tech names, the apple is one which hasn't had mass layoffs. And so that is something that Tim Cook, the CEO, said was not something that was on the table right now at least. So what gives you in the sense of how are they doing? What are they doing right compared to the others? What are Apple never hired so aggressively like other tech players? And I think that's part of the DNA of Apple of Cupertino. Now look, they're going to cut around the edges, but also apple right now. They're spending 8 to 10 billion when you look at some next gen technologies such as AI, Apple glass and others. And I think right now, this is a time for Apple to actually gain share and further penetrate their installed base. And now we're setting the narrative from the conference call. I looked at the consolidated sheet there, the document to try to get India. It didn't get broken out, but they did break out the rest of Asia aside from China and Japan. The rest of Asia was pretty good. In India, one of the main challenges for the company to perhaps move to more like China sales. Look, India, they're betting big there. I mean, that's two to 3% of revenue today. I think that could be 10% in the next four or 5 years, not just even on the south side. More production is they're going to build up in India. Look, there's queer issues in terms of pricing. They got price more in the mid market. But if you look right now, I think betting big on India and that's a smart poker move that I believe is going to be pay off significantly in the next few years. Will betting on India really ultimately on the flip side of it mean that they could be losing out more in China. Look, I think China is the hearts and lungs of the story. And I think that's not going to change anytime soon. 20% iPhone demand is from China. And I actually think you're seeing more and more share gains. They've gained about 300 bps of market share in China, but it's a tightrope here in terms of this balancing act. And it's not just going to be one. And I think India is some incremental opportunity. Dan, we know you're an apple bull, and you've been consistent. But I want to know the challenges. I mean, certainly you must have some concerns about some of the challenges. I raised the question about challenges in India, but what about just generally, what are the biggest challenges for Apple? Look, I think the biggest challenge is clearly China is has risks as we all know. Navigating that market, supply chain, I think most ads in the rearview mirror. And I just say from a macro perspective, it's not roses and rainbows in terms of the economy, and Apple, yeah, four digit iPhones to sell. And that's you need to come out with innovation on iPhone 15. And that's something where it puts more pressure on the company. All right, Dan, thanks very much for joining us

Flags: whose is best?
"Us. Very few people whether they're happy admitting it or not are entirely indifferent to the hoisting of the country's flag. For a survey of what different flags mean to the people of different nations. We consulted the riot Asli multinational stuff here at monocle. I'm the foreign editor here at Monaco. Canada's flag the maple leaf was introduced in the sixties as way to set itself apart from the Union, Jack, which was on our previous leg since. When Canadians did not want to be mistaken for Americans during the Vietnam war when they were traveling, and that's continued on through the Iraq war and even today. I'm actually betting with Trump.
