"Karen Travers is traveling with the president. President Biden Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin takes place in an 18th century. Villa on Lake Geneva. The president spent the past week talking to key U. S allies in Europe getting their thoughts on what should be on the table for today's high stakes meetings with Putin. Biden administration officials say the president's been preparing for the summit for weeks. Last night after arriving here in Geneva. The president was asked by a reporter if he was ready for the meetings, his reply. I'm always ready with the president in Geneva. I'm Karen Travers come. Oh news. NBC's Rachel Scott is one of the few Western reporters credentialed to cover the summit with Russian reporters. Many of the Russian reporters here are fascinated and intrigued by the American presence here. When I film a stand up or still something on camera, they are filming me. Some have approached me asking what it feels like to be on the Russian side of things, quote and what my messages. For President Putin right now, Russian reporters gathered outside. We've watched as president and locked up that red carpet and through that door, you could feel the anticipation here. Also the silence leading up to the moment in which he arrived staring at right now, just the right of this building where President Hu and will be holding his first press conference before President Biden takes questions from reporters. But our day started early Covid tested outside of a hotel that Kremlin staff were staying at and that was there when we spotted some protesters chained assign, you could feel the tension even though Switzerland is a neutral party in this protester gathering hanging a big banner with the words Navalny poisoned and still no investigation. How come President Putin asking that question? It only took a few moments for police to show up by boat to bring that banner down. I watched as some Russian press eight rumbled, let out a big sigh of exhaustion and this is a very high stakes meeting. We talked about what to expect from President Biden. President Putin. His main goal here is also going to need to draw a red line with this new administration. One that we know as we have talked about is dramatically different from the last One of the topics on President Biden's agenda. Cyber attacks is an immediate threat is an ongoing threat, and it's been intensifying. All these threats appear to be emanating from Russia. The colonial pipeline attack the attack on the meat supply. Law enforcement officials are watching very closely. They want to see how Biden goes about establishing These red lines. What will the United States do if these tax intensified because right now they are understanding that these attacks are hitting people where they live. Those gas lines that we all saw gas stations.

Oscars 2021: 'Nomadland' wins best picture on night of historic firsts

"Have been a number of significant winners at the Oscars Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Yes, it's been an Oscars, unlike any other with covert restrictions. In effect, the 93rd Academy Awards has bean celebrating some of the best films. The past year on the red carpet for us, Peter Bows and Tom Brook. Peter, could I start with you? We've We've just found out what the best picture is. Yes, And the best picture is no model on this is the phone that is long being the favorite to win Best picture at the Academy Awards, Directed by Closure Oh, the Chinese filmmaker, she becomes the first woman of color to win best director at the Oscars, and we've just in the last few minutes heard that Frances McDormand has won for best actress for her starring role. In this film, so it really is quite a feat for this phone that tells the story of a group of nomads. It's partially scripted but partially real life because there are some non actors alongside Actors in this film that is set around or shortly after the financial crash of 2000 and eight these people who have lost everything because of what happened in the financial world, going on a journey and the western United States to try to earn some money through some odd jobs. I'm with here in Los Angeles, Tom Brook from the BBC's talking movies. Show and Tom, This is movie has so much better than people thought it has. I mean, it's got through. You know, Matt Land has three trophy is interesting in Frances McDormand, just one for best actress. This is her third Oscar. That I think puts her on a par with Meryl Street, but she doesn't have as many as you. Neither haven't many is. Katharine Hepburn did really good performance from Frances McDormand. I mean, she's most definitely One of American cinema's most reliable and charismatic, leading ladies on this film has done well. It's really the night does belong to note belong to Nomad land so far, and a very diverse night. If we look at these supporting actor and actress categories, both won by actors of color. That's very true. Daniel Cholula, who is British and black, one for best supporting actor and best supporting actress, with one by year Young Eun, who appears playing a grandmother in the film minority, So a very diverse night. Interestingly it's been a good night for women, I think particularly because We had Chloe Zhao winning for best director but also in original screenplay. Emerald Fennel, the British filmmaker. She won in that category That's normally thought of as a male preserve. So definitely progress on just briefly all of this, of course, taking place with the backdrop of covert 19. With the Oscars ceremony taking place at two venues that train station in downtown Los Angeles on the Dolby Theater just very quickly breaking news. Anthony Hopkins has won the award for best actor for his role in the phone. The father Thank you. Thank you. No one expected that you got them both the best picture and the best actor. We really appreciate it. Tom Brooke and Peter bows on the red carpet in Los

"This house this house. There's some horse in this house. That was when he spent an entire episode of his show being outraged about cardi b and megan thee. Stallion's big twenty twenty release up or what s pussy. We got to hear. Ben shapiro performed song which was a fantastic free ad for not being religious. He did it. Tally savalas style. You hear that kids give up your atheism and you too can end up reading rap lyrics in your serious big boy voice and his wife told him into what pajamas would get it in their route. Lee tweeted that he tweeted that of information. My wife's doctor and according to the doctor she's a doctor of medicine. A wet vaginas disease actually technically moral story if your team is fighting against team drive giant on a very important level very important because level all right so we're more than halfway through and that's going to bring us to our whitest. Category biggest as it is the only category with a two time nominee. that would be muslim god. And he's joined by such scathing. Atheists mainstays is pat robertson and gordon clinton schmidt so heath who's joining their ranks this year christian pillow magnate. Mike lindell rate calls done so much extra stuff in twenty twenty one. He might get this again but he gets the nomination without any of that justice. Twenty twenty stuff. I he sponsored and appeared in the eric metaxas christmas. In new york special lindell had a cameo in the form of an infomercial. He came out on stage and told everyone about a brand new towel. Technology that removes moisture invented my pillow and then he gave a promo code for christian pillows and towels as part of again an infomercial. During a live theater performance yes broadway. Guys didn't like that. But i think more live theater needs to start doing that right. Just like not giving up by shot. Glasses made by mobis five classic boy. It's what america means to me and Lindell also helped out with the pandemic back in august of two thousand twenty when del brokered a meeting between donald trump and a quote pharmaceutical company. In order to make sure everyone took full advantage of a new cure for covid called leandra. N- that was a botanical extract from a literal bush of poison called oleander. It did not cure covered by the way. No you're just not taken enough you taking a poison and it does here girl. Then we'll die. And of course lindahl spent most of the latter part of twenty twenty campaigning for donald trump's reelection and then campaigning against donald trump's de election at the very end fear that includes the production of a movie called absolute proof that we had to watch about votes being stolen by hugo chavez and then sent to the germany internet for tampering and then sent back to the america internet. I think internet airplay hinting circle row right. Yeah and the. The new doctored digital ballots had trump's name scratched out and biden's name written in the margin did cyber labeling also had a covert meeting with trump. That somehow involved lindell's doing his best spy walk into the white house and trump on two phones at the same time. You wanted to be spy ish he is. He is already hard at work trying to earn a two for anti allah. Yeah okay so now. I wrote a whole goddamn book. Full a worthy nominees for this last year but the one that really stands out to me here is jim baker. Okay look virtually every living religious leader that the average american could name has blood on his hands in the wake of the pandemic joe on the paper cut. That might need a band aid into the scale. You got the pope blaming copen on god being mad at us over global warming but on the gushing jerry falwell on a bender guys are into the scale. You have jim baker. yeah turns out the crime. He is good at getting away with murder young but manslaughter. I guess yeah. So first of all. I should point out what he did right. Unlike a lot of religious leaders baker did not try to pretend that the pandemic didn't exist or that loving jesus would be sufficient protection against it and then honestly put them ahead of a lot of people in this line of work right. He wasn't above pretending. It was a chinese invention intentionally unleashed upon american. Fuck up trump's second term but at least he admitted that there was a deadly pandemic on of course he did not do this from concern for the health and safety audience so much as the exact opposite of that seat if there was no deadly pandemic he couldn't sell you his colloidal silver colder panacea a move so startling the email that even the us government did about it people and he looks like a sales rep for kane powder yes yeah so just a quick reminder early on in the pandemic baker was hit with at least two different cease and desist orders from at least two different attorneys general. Stop telling people that has snake. Oil would cure copay so in response. He started selling seeds that he said you could use to grow your own panacea cure nova. We're like you said it like as close to that as lawyer thought he could get away with anyway. This is a silver bulb. You just put it. Tell me where you buried it. Yeah so i teased him just a bit in one of my previous mentions but for my nominee. I'm gonna go with pastor tony spell. would one dude good one. Yes my friends. Way back in the halcyon days tiger king and stay at home orders. Pastor tony spell was the first major public figure to draw the line at doing literally anything to stop people from dying. I despite being in theocracy friendly louisiana spell behaved in a manner so publicly dangerous that even baton rouge..

"Yeah so as soon as they can figure out a few minor details like You know how to keep a website online for consecutive minutes and while the worst keep printing over the top of it you know they're gonna come for twitter with a website that isn't afraid to let people say what they think even if what they think offensive. Few snowflake liberal cox the so long as it doesn't also been snowflake conservative. Folks you see during an interview with metaxas lindahl explained that his new free speech themed social media platform would have far more restrictions on free speech. Then i don't know any social media platform you could name interesting quote people ask me. You're going let everything go. Porn swearing everything. And i said absolutely not we have a thing we've found in the constitution and our founding fathers that defined. What free speech is he adds quote. You're not going to be able to swear there will be four words for sure. You can't say you can't say the c word the n. word the f word. And he can't use god's name in vain and the cool. Okay but here's what's crazy. You can't say the n. word probably lost him. A significant percentage of the people who were going to sign up. Yeah actually that was the brand of this thing it was like you say to n word on twitter. Come on frank. Speech dot com. Wow he also and this was an interesting one. He also added that his site would prohibit defamation really after all bearing false witnesses a violation of the knights command. So you're you couldn't go on. His website accused joe biden of having won a fair election for example that could be removed. Okay so what we have now is a website. That's basically a fun quiz about mike. Lindell's worldview right. Yeah be on. Can i type trees exist. Okay yes i can. What about fossils. no see. i just started. That was the f. word he meant. So yeah mike. Lindell whitten made his own twitter. With a prohibition on beer and hookers and it will no doubt take its place atop the social media hierarchy just as soon as their moral advice. Report comes to a conclusion on the ethical status of g and and they figure out how to let multiple people signed up at the same time. Get there man take tight. They said it's a wordpress plugin. But i don't know where i'm supposed to play so while they sort that we're going to close the headlines for the night heath thanks as always you say fossil and when we come back to red carpet reporters are gonna regret asking eli. "There is this idea that you have to put yourself in a box of. This is the kind of makeup. I do and that's something that i have always refused. I've never i've never said to myself. Golly gee the only way. I'm gonna make if i get like on a press tour for like a big marvel movie and work with like elite actress doing bronzes. Smokey is for a year. I i to me doing red carpet or like just beautiful everyday glam. That's like taking your first math course. That has to be something. That's in your back pocket at all times from the beginning. That's not like a goalpost for me so used to get frustrated by this idea that what excites me is like images with stickers and the jamie nelson hype imagery where it's like candy but what inspires all these agents in all these brands that are sponsoring things. Are these boring red carpet post with everyone pose like a tea kettle in front of. I'm like how am i. How am i going to make my way in this business. I will be so bored. If that's all i do you know that. I wonder why they liked that so much. I think that it's just an all an outdated structure but also to sell things. And if i get it i understand it. It's like if you are trying to sell something very specific. You can't have everything in the kitchen. Sink on it because people the general public can't dig through at all But i mean exist in a world. Where i can do. Both you know. Sometimes on the same people i can give you a beautiful red card. Bit just a nice fluffy lash and like a matt peachy lip and then the next day. We're going to give you like tapes and glitter and you know stickers and the whole kin

When Life Is A Movie

"It was like a movie screen. There is no need to look in the camera. it's right they're is lending to stare into it. It's over there and right there so all you must do his be yourself. It often feels weird when you're going around people but the good news is the chair in the movies and all you must do read the script. Study the lines and let the screen capture what needs to complete the sink. Okay action right now. Feeling like a triangle. But all you see is obtuse but type of fail missus quantity should you be four with an accent. He felt as if you should change since this is a movie and all so you don't understand that when you have others depending on you. Things seem harder when it's hard process then when you're just playing jane doin- what she does. He have to watch your step so you don't become a blooper image heels. Why do you have to where. He wants a tennis shoes or more comfortable. Or maybe even boots flats. Oh so you're trying to explain to me when you're in the movies you must go with the character role. You're playing sometimes when things get too hard explicit language so that changes the guidance on the parental control. If you have children please be warned. Cut cut cut taking the script skimming up and down so now you could end up being abused and lie to from someone who thought cared but you know sometimes people have bad days to does your day have to include someone who has no intentions of being a part of what you have done. How about the world. Do you think you're making the world. Thinks negative about someone who you can't be a part of that show action quiet on the set you get news today. The doctor called told you the stress level could be harmful to you so it st. Aren't you the one going around town trying to make a fool out of someone that you barely know. Oh so that's funny I tell you what. I don't have to take this of so much better things on with me and don't worry if i don't care if you're not impressed because the star of this show is you know see what's a slight when people look for mistakes in you try to create or rewrite. What is yours try. The lotto is better than this movie. I see forcing someone to relive something that happened long ago. What a minute. You don't move lines. I've been through this before but action when you live it when the incident happened to you over time you could remember that dream we had. I say it was a flashback. Or others would like a deja vu the movies so silent. Why sooner ruckus nobar saint for me to talk about. So what is the question at hand. Living to make an oscar or an emmy. So if i'm walking down the red carpet and tend to slip and fall. I can gracefully get up and smile left at all hold it. I thought i read about what happened on the screen in media. I didn't let me see what it says. That's not bad where did speak to come in at. Oh no this person is not me. I have found someone else who is trying to imitate. What has happened to me when you find out. Those shoes you got in was a lot more for them. To handle you have lived you have learned and you have been taught in the movie of life not to trust in everyone or even speak about or even. Show them what you had happened because it tends to be online with someone who was not you should the mask be removed to uncover the fake fax that it was not in. I looked and looked the camera's still on you. I guess it's time to get up. Wipe the dirt of my jeans. I continue with the movie. Trust me when all that you have put into it would be a waste to give up now. Just as the scenes tend to change the starring role issue cut. That was a good take. People tomorrow is a new day. Get plenty of wrist. Enjoy the night but remember the lines are not subject to change. It has been written in the script so you can take charge and character leading the screen. No you're not afraid of letting the world know what has happened on the screen because somewhere someone may just have it on camera.

Look, I mean, there was always red carpet reporters. I mean, hell. We saw one on singing in the rain, but anyway, but It, but But she turned it into an event and then it got to be a thing, And sometimes the pre shows were almost more exciting than the actual broadcast. But it's kind of falling out of favor. And especially now, when the ratings for the award shows are themselves are in the tank, it's lost its luster. So out of all of his jobs. My point is, I can see why he ditched this one looks. You surprised? No, not at all in this. One of all of the jobs probably takes the most work. It's getting there and getting their attention. And I know he is not someone who's desperate to get the interviews. They come to him. But still, you know, just the whole Chaotic night of it, And that's not happening right now. No, not doing red carpet. So I wonder if it was kind of a combination of that slowly dying anyway, and We need to move on from this. That might have been a network decision to they just had a conversation of look You do so much? Yeah, Let's let this die. Yeah, this one died. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West discussing divorce

"At the end of kim. Yea oh my gosh. Welcome to daily problems. Get right into the story. Everyone is talking about this morning. Is kim divorcing konya. Here's what we know you guys a source tells us they're trying to work through things in marriage. Counseling divorce has been discussed. But kim really wants the relationship to work. We've been hearing. They've been living separately for months. However another source says. Kim will always care for connie but it's over between them. We're told kim is hesitant to file for divorce. Because she wants to make sure she's making the right decision for their kids. Any news reached out to their reps for comment. It's a lot to dissect. I mean what's your first thoughts when you heard this justin. I feel this has been going on for quite some time. I feel like the writing has kind of been on the wall that these two are taking some time away from one another and this didn't come as a shock to me because from what i know of came in. They were inseparable for six years when he came to red carpets. When it came to family things. Once i started seeing on you pop up kinda sporadically throughout things. Not showing up at christmas and not being on the aspirin trip. I feel like i kinda sorta felt like these two are taking time apart. Yeah and i revealing that you know. She had an abortion. That was very telling that they were out of part where they definitely did. Not win. didn't have almost ad. Sorry you're right. Sorry about north am sorry. Let me correct myself. Yes almost had an abortion. And i felt like it was just yeah. We could just foresee that there were problems. I just didn't know it got at this point. Is there any way you think that they could actually save this marriage. Do you think they even want to know. I feel like i feel like this marriage. At this point. I feel like they've been doing this. Limbo for a very very long time. I think they have tried their hardest to make it work. In every single capacity try different versions of what marriage looks like. And i think at this point they love each other. They have respect for one another. They obviously have four children that they are very much devoted to. I think the romantic involvement between the two of them has just fizzled out. And i just think that. Kim has really tried as hard as you possibly could. And as well as conway and i don't think this is going to be one of those breakups turns into this bitter mass and turns into this tabloid food that everyone wants it to be. I think it's going to be these people. They've had four kids. They've tried for six years to make it work. It doesn't work. They're still going to be in each other's lives in a creative way. They're always gonna be there for one another and having involvement off. But i just i don't i. Don't foresee the two of them reconciling in a way that's like you're my husband and my wife. I just don't see that for them.

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde Holding Hands

"Livy wild and harry styles are dating over the weekend. They were caught holding hands on their way to a friend's wedding in montecito california. A source tells us news. They shared a room and their romance has been going on for a little while now. So let's just talk about this. Okay you see the headline first reaction and then you see the video. First reaction morgan go. I don't i literally been processing this for three days. Because i mentioned massive harry styles fan and i just feel like listen. I like libya. I like little wild. I feel like we just heard about her. Swith jason today day. I felt like when you're that famous when you're at that level harry styles whose notoriously private olivia jason really work public unless they really needed to be in terms of like red carpets and things that they will promoting something feels not inauthentic. I don't know the words if you do. You can tweet us with something. Doesn't why all a sudden you just hand holding after ten years of being with the same person like is it if it was really something when you want to keep it close to the chest pain moving first of all. I love morgan that you went straight like investigative reporter on jeff. Does it make sense. Is it for publicity for the movie. Meanwhile i'm over here inserting myself into olivia wilde shoes going well. I'm only a few years older than olivia wilde. So does that mean that. I mean that. I've been his age practice. He did say that he wouldn't eat anyone older than his mom. His is forty three young mom already. So i feel like there's a chance iphone. Harry styles is an old soul. I agree like i just couldn't the age difference does not faze me one big The fact that she has children. I don't really see him like to be a father. Step father right now but But you know the whole relationship caught me off guard. I think ever. I know it's too early to say. I'm kind of with you morgan. I feel like i just listen. We just found out november about jason. However there's been reports that they were you know separated. We found out about so who knows but it sure felt just. Can't me jason like like a dagger in the no. I agree with that feeling old. And yeah i they've been separated christie. You're right. i feel like they've been separated by the way you're separated. She's allowed to date whoever she wonders. It's not even about pass relationship for me. What it is is just. You don't casually just get. We have to ask one hundred different publicists for any sort of comment to confirm something. I don't know who's just strolling out on twenty twenty one day. Three with two major star. That are like you know by the way we're doing this this weekend. I was like now prepared. It was so this was his agents wedding so there wasn't good names there whenever it's a hollywood agent like that right so they knew that there was a word was going to get out like they were making a declaration by showing right hand holding like did you notice the handhold. Seniors name church wind very intimate to hold someone back to me. It's one thing if they went together and he had his hand on. The smaller faster was helping her walk down the hill and the wedges ten church twining lace the fingers his new relationship so and i guarantee if olympia seasons right. Now she's like you guys are so ridiculous like fun and once you make out with harry styles. You'll know why. I'm holding his man okay. The best twenty twenty one. Like if we're gonna nominate best twenty twenty one by jason. Actually harry is because she's also such a cat cheated mark. She's an incredible actress. An incredible director like an awesome. Mom has a great relationship with her ex. Like i know that we think she's lucky. But like harry is very lucky

How to Deliver a 7-Star Experience for Clients

"So just to give people like a story so for me. Whenever i'm at the four seasons the thing i love about it is i can take out my phone and order shifts guacamole and all this stuff and it just shows up to the room. I don't need to interact with anybody. Wanna talk to anybody. The food just appears right and sometimes go above and beyond they'll give me like a fruit basket the put some wine and all that cool stuff right. That's going a little above and beyond mr sue. Can i help you with this. Just a little bit right. Like not calling me. Neil or not. Eric reid is mr sue and say that feels like so professional and everything looks really nice tidy. Let's talk about seven star experience. Because i got this concept from airbnb and you know seven star. We're talking about just to give you an example. Let's say neil stays at a hotel and neil. Who's like your favorite band or was your favorite brand Experienced story let's do that. Let's do that. I can't so. I used to live at the mandarin oriental and las vegas There for many many years. I need someone who also lived there find from vegas to los angeles in los angeles during international when they arrived in los angeles. They already have their connection flight. They forgot their passports. Passport was in vegas so they call the cons. Here's the concierge. Had one of the door. People go into their place get their pastor. They told them where it was literally hopped on a plane delivered to him in lax. Straight up games like even crazier okay. So seven star or even nine star would be like. Let's say your favourite dj in your room. Mike spinning or something like that. They roll out the red carpet. Your favorite foods waiting right there. Maybe it's imported from europe or something. They just fluid in right. That is seven star. But i think if you want to think about how this five seven nine star experience you have to outline what three stars five stars looks like and you have to think about okay. How do i go above and beyond to make it a seven. How do i have to go above and beyond for the next one right. And that's the key. Eric just mentioned you had to go above and beyond. I remember talking to a client one time and they hurt us to grow their s traffic. When we're doing a good job vessel. Traffic was growing not as fast as one. But it never as fast as i want and as we're growing at on the phone with founder. Hey i don't want overstep my boundaries. But you know my team can cover the seo stuff separately after this call and they will. And i'm like. I will not do something different on this call. That just really ran on like just hear me out. And let's just go along with it and tell me what happens after thirty days in there like okay so i ended up breaking out on the phone everything that was wrong with their website when it came to conversion rate optimization standpoint and have contract. I'm like look you're trying to get resolved to your start your shot for cash. Who cares what's in your contract. I'm just gonna tell you right now. High-protein going implement this six things that are going to boost your conversion Really want you to implement the minority. And i went down through that list. They did and then within a month and a half to two months because it took him a little bit longer to get it out their conversion rate went up a bit more than thirty percent at that point business much more profitable. There were happy as your trackable much more profitable and they're like thank you. You'd have to like what we owe you. Nothing unlike your businesses wasn't gonna grow as you want it because it was really messed up on. The conversion asks a wanted to fix that i and they were happy and to me that's going above and beyond where i didn't have to. Yeah and those of you that might be wondering okay

Hilaria Baldwin secretly enjoying all the attention

"Big exclusive at the top of the show ilaria baldwin. Who's on the cover of the newspapers and get a lot of attention for her somewhat somewhat complicated background a secretly loving all the attention our sources tell nia this is a dream come true for ilaria. She's loving every moment of it. She's always wanted to be famous. She married alec baldwin and is assisted over the years that she is from spanish heritage. However now it's come forward on social media that her name is not ilaria. It's actually hillary and she was born in boston. And now she has confirmed this one source actually told me she is reaping what she would. What do you think about this crazy story. Lauren a people are acting like she's rachel dollas all which is not really fair right like she's not she's not doing that. I don't know. I did meet her once on a red carpet and i thought she was extremely lovely. I was also very distracted by her instagram story. Because she looked so beautiful when up. I was like wait. What are you saying okay. Now i've met her a few times as well as she really is. Actually very very nice. I'd love to be able to tell you. She was awful but she wasn't really applied very very kind. I know people that have worked with are extra. She was a correspondent over there and they just loved her now he embarrassing and the whole thing is very awkward. And i think we've all all emphasized different parts about our past. It takes a lot to actually become really proud with who you are either. I damaged my arm. When i was little and for a long time i would give different stories about how it happened and the reason i did that is just not comfortable having a damaged arms on giving her a little bit of the benefit of the data but as you said no crimes have been committed. She wasn't raising money claiming that she was a spaniard. So this is embarrassing. It's silly i'm not quite sure why she did it. But i did think here. We can be a little a little kind about it. What do you think. I agree one hundred percent. She is a very sweet woman. I it's funny. You say she loves the press. This is very negative press very very negative so that is it's so questionable right right when i think this is so interesting with a lot of celebrities that we talked to and we interview and we work with unfortunately. It's a bit of a stereotype but it seems to be true quite often. They're terrible assists. And i think that would i was working some really really big stars the the way that you could insult them. The most is by ignoring them as gossip columnist. Icee really cheeky. Things about people. And i'm always shocked when i see them calling me. I think i'm going to get told off. And they never do occasionally they do. Mostly they asked me. The picture can make this bigger. They're actually really enjoy the

Egyptian President al-Sisi to meet President Macron

"French president emmanuel macron has said. He won't make sales of weapons to egypt conditional on its human rights record. He said he didn't want to weaken egypt's capacity to fight. Terrorism in the middle east missing. Mccomb was speaking after talks president. Abdel fattah el sisi. He's on a state visit to franz. Let's tell us more. I'm joined by the journalist reef michelson and regular monocle commentator on egypt and the middle east. Welcome back ruth. Good morning morning. This is quite an astonishing statement and td place it in the context of just how important egypt's for when it comes to french military expert Incredibly important between twenty thirteen and twenty seventeen. france was egypt's largest weapons exporter. They have sold them all kinds of things including rafael jets and unfortunately surveillance equipment that has been used against all kinds of people including likely peaceful activists and ngo workers so they're an enormously important partner and macron's decision to say that none of this will be conditional and to speak in that way also is quite the contrast to the changing tide that we're seeing over in the united states right now you watch the speeches. Delivered by monsieur macron abdel. Fattah el sisi. Yesterday was the tone of them I did watch them. And i feel that you know macron had this tone where he started everything that he said about human rights and human rights when he was speaking. Didn't really get much the look in. He answered some questions about it when he was pressed by a reporter from radio. France as well But every time that he spoke about human rights which he did as a sort of bowing to pressure that he's had to say that he had to mention it which we've seen every time. cc. His visited paris everytime macron mentioned. This he sort of couched it in terms of talking about extremism and talking about fighting terrorism Which of course is very much. His domestic policy at the moment And frankly watching. This felt like something of a failure in the sense that you know the cdc regime in egypt justifies pretty much everything it does in terms of fighting terrorism even when potentially they're doing the exact opposite most of the political prisoners that we're talking about That are in custody today in egypt. Detained on terrorism charges. Human rights defenders have been detained on terrorism charges. So it you know. It doesn't really playing into cici's hands when you frame everything that's happening in terms of fighting terrorism because it gives him get out cools indeed. I mean we have human rights. groups are saying that emmanuel macron effectively indulging the egyptian president. Here what -solutely. I mean I frankly speaking after. I watch those speeches yesterday. I was thinking you know. It's emmanuel macron getting played or is this part of his agenda. But it certainly i mean. Was he set taupe stage where he could just say. Well we're not really listening to Those particular concerns with all focus on the party sellers to weapons. And we're going to move on now. So i mean see at one point said It's not appropriate to present egypt as an oppressive state given all it does for the region and that also is something that chimes with what macron said which is. Well you know egypt. We've discussed are concerns with egypt. But they're going to be important for us in terms of regional issues such as libya where there isn't actually necessarily proof. The egypt is a good partner in libya. But the one thing egypt is they're not The enemies with the one in turkey And you know that is macron's also new chosen regional rival so it's it's almost as though he's decided that because he's going to spa with duan which never goes well. But you know he's going to have to back one's opponent just as a bit about this actually does for my new macron's reputation both domestically but also how other world leaders might see him as as welcoming someone with human rights record which is questionable. As you've just described. I think that's a good question. I mean the key question in terms of how other world leaders will see. This is Certainly how the eu will see it because he you has been very critical of egypt I think perhaps somewhere like italy might be more on board with what macron has even though. There's you know that's been a contentious relationship. Because both france and italy have taken a similar line which is to say The you know there's abuse in egypt. We have to deal with them because libya because of racist concerns about migration and wanting to stop migration into europe but also at the same time You know the incoming biden administration has made quite clear that you know. In biden's words there will be no blank checks for trumps favorite dictator in reference to cece. So whether this will how much of a contrast that will be biden's actually sworn in is quite a question but in the meantime thought to el-sisi gets to gets absolutely gets his son with this. It was i mean. It's getting to see the red carpet rolled out for someone that is jailing. Thousands of people The way the level of press freedom the level of freedom of expression is at historically bad levels not just for egypt but for the region and for the world as a whole and it is really a question brought does macron. Get out of this. What's the benefit other than maybe on sales but it's it's really hard to tell where the benefit is to macron and where the real benefit is to his agenda Watching that kind of warm. Welcome for somebody as credibly accused of human rights abuse ruth michelson. Thank you very much as ever for joining us on multiple twenty four

"And then that's why i'm voting for now that's a that's going to be like. What the heck did we say. We just missed that cold cut. Sean so i i mentioned were talking mainly for forbes. We're gonna take this audio. Put it out as a cast as well and I want everyone who's listening and stuff to to know that this is kind of interesting. I mean i was just decided. I'm going to watch a documentary. While i'm on my treadmill and so choose brand new recommended for me net flicks versus the world on amazon prime which reading from imdb the story of how a tiny broke silicon valley startup slew giants of the movie rental world warded off amazon and forced movie making and distribution into the digital age. And i was blown away by it. And i mean like who made this thing and then i said who shone coffin and i want to make sure i don't forget so i i learn a little bit about you from your website. Texas movie director dot com. I then started stalking you on twitter. Where you're handle is dude versus movie. And that's a dude. Vs movie and i reached out and said hey man. I'm a fan from a couple of angles a the netflix's story but also what it's like to be an indie moviemaker these days. Do you wanna talk and you were nice enough to say yes. So welcome to the cast. Thanks for chatting for forbes. Thanks for having me. I mean when you reached out. Like i've i've actually used twitter to reach out to people that watch the movie. So it's it's interesting to talk to people from like south. Africa are vancouver or across the pond in england. Because you know as a you know Independent moviemaker here in austin texas outside of hollywood itself. It's it's cool to have your work seen around the world expr- especially when it was a. It was a tough hill to climb so to speak to get the film ned. Well we'll get more into that in a second but so how. How did you get into the movie making business. What's your back when you look like a pretty young guy so to have something like you know out there like this seems pretty. Cool my Camera must be doing good things for me. 'cause i'm i'm thirty seven i have Four children and they definitely make me look tired. all the No so i I went to i. I went to college here in austin at university of texas to become the next you know mcconnell. Hey no no. I'm a texan. So i wanted to university of texas to get a film degree in the graduated I worked on a few independent films. Here in austin and then started working for tv on a show called room raiders. The basically someone would go through three different rooms in based on that they would decide who they went on a date with So yes oh. That show ended up getting canceled. But i moved out to la. And i did a celebrity interviews and red carpets for a platform call cannot lose which is a european station and i worked for the spanish version of that and so i was out there in hollywood for bed and and most most people in la will attest to this. Like you're not going to own a house in l. a. Unless like you're like a millionaire. You're hitting a big. We decided although i loved l. a. in i loved what i did out in la. I wanted to move back to texas. I could actually own a house tonight. And i ended up back out here but i always had the desire to kind of a make movies and like i said before having poor children young girls madeta girls In my wife having a successful career herself documentary as is what you can do. Is you could go fly somewhere for a week. Flight home to be with the family and everything so That's that's what i did in the first movie i worked on. There is a couple of guys making a trying to raise money to make a documentary about nickelodeon. And i grew up in that nickelodeon like i loading kid like. I didn't have the disney channel nickelodeon so it was definitely something that i was like. Well i'm used to interview in celebrities in such such like that. So i can jump onto this project and help them because Interviewing people for movies. Like tom cruise and will smith and everything. I knew the nickelodeon people weren't going to be above that level. So i was are used to working with a high profile tile talent so i came on there I helped shoot. I helped edit. And i helped produce and then at the end of that. I was looking on the next project i wanted to do in the book and i don't. I don't read a lot. Because i'm always jumping from show to show or working on different cell for spending time with my family but i read this book. That's called netflix. That epic battle for america's eyeballs which gina keating wrote. And it was. it was about netflixing their origin. That would be a great documentary. So i reach out turn. I was like hey. I'm starting my next documentary. I would love to interview you. She said why Actually started my documentary Maybe we should team up. And so that's how the the movie started.

"So he's been a joy to have around, so he's doing an American accent from the nineteen forties before moving into present day and slowly evolving out of it. That's cool. Yeah, it's ridiculous. So what was your reaction when you found out about the the time the time things but time travel I didn't think they were gonNA bite. I've got the network was just going to stonewall it and say that's cute, but no. You know that's stupid. You know about and they didn't. They went the other way apparently, really excited and. Show their excitement. It's showed US data faith in us that we. Didn't know So that felt really good. And then we sort of ran with the ball and every time we did something like that, so it sort of it was a season where everything's all of a sudden started to click in. Everyone was thinking the same way as really cool. I can't wait to see how it turns out. It's not that have some fun tonight there you go back to work. sixteen tomorrow morning Oh, wow! No rest for the weary exactly three to meet again. Thanks thank you. I'll tell you. This guy is one of the nicest guys you ever WanNa talk to he is not pretentious. He is so easy to talk to. Really had a lot of fun meeting in Lego. Batman the movie. Clancy Brown voiced a kinder and maybe funnier lex Luther we spoke on the red carpet at the new. York Paley Center for this. I mean you played lex? Of course for many years now, actually probably the longest actor at played lex voice, wise but How does that happen? That's not a bad thing I know. How do we get so old? Then have done something for so long I don't get it and do it so well, but for this one you get a chance to light him up a little bit and must have been fun. It was fun. It was It was fun to read the script I I. I'm I was always familiar with their work. Because I've played the my son is ten and he. Has the LEGOS and they did the star. Wars Lego adaptations for the Games and I was totally into that. I thought it was kind of amazing. The you could create a game that a kid could love. Then his dad could love as well and they. They were very clever with how they would comment on the game, but. The universe and this was kind of interesting because this game to me as a as a full on script beforehand, it wasn't the game. It was a script so I. Thought well. That's I could do lex in this I would love to do Lexus and see. If we can turn LEX into a lego character, and it was very clever very fun script was not you know he was still the same do? You know. The joke was still the same dude. It was just. It was just a blast to read so I was. I was very happy to go on and do it and to be. Part of their work. You know finally you can do comedy, but in a way you can do it straight like you did. starship troopers I. Mean Your Drill Sergeant was just. Right there, but it was his. My wife and I were watching the other day. We're. Were crying laughing song. There you go? That's a good script. You know that's that's. That's a good script. Makes it easy? You don't work for the lab I. DON'T HAVE TO BE BILLY CRYSTAL guys. Well another thing that I think fans love you for. Is Your work on Earth, too? I just think you. You play great villains, but that guy. Yeah, but that guy was. I was great. You're going way back. Yeah, John Dan's. Interesting one. That was a little dated. Now I. Don't know if you've seen it, but. It's it's running now mobile devices. That's the way the world either I. I like to say that we were. We were the pre lost Series that we sort of. We sort of made loss possible. We were doing lost four lost with school. That's exactly it. Yeah, you were ahead of its time there. What's it like when you guys all? Get back together, you know Kevin. And all the guys from the original series and do. Like kind of getting the band back together kind of. A little bit I. You know I I Adore Kevin. I've I've always admired him. And love him doing that. It's Tim does not come and do it Tim Tim did it and they need then he's fell out of it and he's so busy that it's a real cool when he had him but I love Travis's Superman. Superman can change. It's like it's like the the The Camera Batmans they all change and the on cameras chances. The voice over Superman tend to change I love with Travis. Does and and I think I think Choi does does a very good Kevin Imitation? Another thing I have to mention is kind of all I think that was just what a great part for you! What a fascinating character deployed another! Brother just was very interesting. Very Weird. Bet I'LL BET HBO wish. They had that show right now. Yeah. They let go too soon. What do you coming up? there's film eventually John John Dies at the end is out right now. there's a film called Uh Hell benders that were waiting for the contracts to get signed with a J. T. J. D. Betty directed that wrote and directed. Clifton Collins and me and punch other fun guys. I did a film with Jason Stadium. Recently I did a film with That's the guitar player slash produced. So they. You know their stuff coming up their stuff around. Between the voice over and the on camera, you're busy yeah. Yeah Trey Statement I got kids I got. I kids a mortgage. Yeah I hear Ya get I'll get a million dollars picture. I gotta get. Keep a common. Yeah. I hear Ya. What a great honor to reach a man regression! That'll be available in late. Nate Lego, Batman, the movie. It's great for kids of all ages. And also from San Diego Comic Con and Twenty Ten is my conversation on the purple carpet of the sci-fi Channel With David Blue of then too short lived series stargate universe now I just talked to Robert Cooper. Who was the show runner at the time? And he had this cool back to the future t shirt so I kind of came up in my conversation with David David David just a SEC. What did you think of you know? Robert, Cooper's wearing a back to teacher. Wasn't the second movie like one of the cool sequels over the second movie is my favorite course. That's what everyone likes so pissed. I don't have a hover board old once I. Think I think. I think we need to remake it with me. Gang I'd love to see that. Let me. All the SCIFI references your character has. Definitely must put in some of them. No actually that's the brilliance of these guys right here I would love to claim credit, but every time they had me a script. They've already run in the movie referencing all the although I did have a great time this season. I won't ruin it where I went up to Jomo lots. He's propaganda. Cut Out! I went up to Joe and I said I. Hope You don't mind. I have to pitch. This I really want WanNa make this one reference and he let me do it so I'm hoping it stays in the having. "She's literally on my dream. We went to a little women. Screening Me Jeff. Before Christmas after Christmas and we saw her on stage and she looked incredible. Yeah but all of her red carpet looks or all season. Looks have been. This Pale Watercolor Wash. Which is pretty interesting. On this event. Firstly her dress outfit was just like beyond you. Look give me get off yet to me and times it by several. 'cause you're slight the flight little thing But she had read lip and I don't think I'd seen her in a red light especially not in person. Because why would I but she had a head pull back which is like tendrils lose tendrils down and then she had a really bold red letters and it was dark. I think as well for me. She's on people that I would love to make pump because I feel like she looks amazing. No makeup but she also look really great with quite a bit of May cop. Yeah I think she can buy that. I don't mean like heavy layers make but I mean she could take a big bold I or like something. Quite inch cut would work really well on her. Just remind me is actually really more. I always think looks interesting yet. I think she always rocks a lip and that kind of no makeup look with the lip really really well. Yeah I feel like there's very minimal scar like I kind of liked that she'll choose something and I thought she definitely plays with on the outfit choices. Roy's interested yet. She's not someone who does certainly playing it safe. She's definitely having fun with it. And especially this year. She was there. Supporting her engage. You walking so that you know. She knew she was going to be in photographs. Play it safe. It was like she had a really interesting. Yeah Gown on an interesting look yeah the old Mara Guy Field Bruni around fairmount Ada. Well let's just use to live narrows in civil late. Uta All the time. It's not because it's when you see a proper famous person just like going down the street get coffee in the. She's really very very la. It's very scary very ally. Oh my God we're like so. La But that really is it Oscars which means it's time for one thing one thing only the thing. The thing highlight off. The I love that we can look each other now. We don't even have to know it. Belleville how they communicate code or she did not look. Happy Shea does not look I would you know what Belbow you're not? My highlight of the week. The reasons as well spill my highlight of the week is something. We are new news there the week on it is because I have been obsessed with them. The MAC glow play blush. Is Everyone Love Them? Because they're actually really good and you think about how many launch and how many collections might launch a lot and how often a new product from them actually gets cut through in the way that this house. Yes that you see everywhere you see everyone talking about everyone playing with it. I I'm obsessed with them was with my fingers. It's still probably my preference. But also I've found lake the real techniques smaller buffing brush is quite firmly bristled is really nice to buffet. I thought like a synthetic type. Yeah because obviously the fingers tightly packed as you can get an just a loose brush doesn't pick up enough enough product but those smaller chisels of puffing brushes a beautiful forgetting really diffuse water calories or look with it and the shades are just so pretty. There's a renewed shade the news and kind of as contour or like this is a soleil. Dan Type Product. Because I'm so fair can do that with it and there's a peachy pink that I really love the lavender pink. I am obsessed with. That's been my shoes. It come in loads on them as low. It's it's I think is eleven or twelve. I CAN'T REMEMBER. We talked about last time. I've forgotten but I love them so much. I use them on my eyes. I've used them on my lip like I took when apple of my way with me when I was away last weekend just so easy. I love so pretty. It's so great because I'll just do my foundation and then yeah same. Brush go in pick up a little bit buffer in. And if you need to buff out each study collide easy yeah. It's so easy and like I just don't know a skin that it wouldn't be pretty on so yeah big love for me. I'm absolutely obsessed with them. Where play those stories? I think? Watch this space. What's yours well you so I think my more come as prize mine is the new deal the do forever conceal it. Looks like a mini bottle. Almost like it almost looks like a thin version of the foundation. Bottle comes in thirty shades has quite a big dover. I just love everyone I use it on. It looks good on everyone where the I would say for majority of skin types. It looks great I think what say magic about my own skin is it feels like you don't eat loads of how like an you know to give context. I don't wear a lot of consumer I kind of do like a few dots number in the real techniques brush so I'm not kind of adding layers and layers but it's also the kind of conceal you can use to cover readiness to put over top of spot you can use is even developed it so it's almost like if you wanted like a next level fat like another level of foundation you can actually use it like as the foundation so it gives you a lot of options. I'm lazy. I do love concealed. I can do everything with and A. Just something about it photographs beautifully. It looks good in real life. It's a very I just I've been converted. Lindsey up some are saying good things. About mega conceal person usually speaking. But Yeah I. I'm in love with this guy even over my foundation if I just feel like saying yeah look and it doesn't settle and it just blends out is it wasn't the yeah. It's so pretty and the color the color of really good guys. Sometimes I think brands like Dior. Maybe not known for like. I think they're definitely like so much better now. In terms there inclusivity props you know a couple of years ago. You might go to like find your perfect shape but like I have clients who you know. They've got quite like V. Undertones and I can really guarantee that like that counselors are within that range so very happy very happy. Go lucky when applying comes together. Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Oh loves as well. You don't Belleville upset. She did a g what you're bitter. She's guilty minute. I'm doing my evil evil is Oh yes. I hate you ask SAS SAS cat. She has assessing kitty sweet. That's the lot for today. "Every. Walk casual casual embarrassed to leave. Anderson's wave is tailing your face. He's like straight here. I'm trying to make him. Oh he's he's he's also is down to get fed. He's leaning into me like I don't like it but I'm yeah this is my food. Strike him he just lays on the floor. Now that's nice. It makes me a little bit sad for him but we have new puppy. Actually that is some new news that we have a new edition. His name is Ronald when he's not Ronnie most of the time. He's another little risky blessed so he's very shy but he's obsessive Paddington Paddington. Ninety percent of the time reciprocate. Same love for others. So yeah he's doing really well lonely. Yeah he's he's doing really well but yeah enough a little bit of Life News of her second child and you look great. Oh she's been giving birth to my talk tracks understand that one more thing. I wanted to make sure you news on. It's really just a heads up. It's going to come out and it's going to sell out and we all know this is going to happen New Jeffrey Star polit blood. Sugar family a blood lost loved law. Halifa we what hurtful essay I kind of guessed it might be pepple onto Sundays headbutting. The microphone because I was thinking about it and then I'm like well. He's done red and blue purple one. There wasn't instead purple. Ou is nice. Yeah it's massive on its velvet. You're gonNA Treat Yourself Linzo because it looks beautiful. But it's massive mentioned eights massive. I'm not really a purple Gal. All especially crushed velvet. Go Yeah I know what you mean. So why the the red? The blood blood sugar Which in my head. They weren't especially my callers either. There were a lot of wearable callers in that as well. I love that and the packaging even though it was massive feels like a big old vhs. Because that's it was easier to stash the Shane Dawson Palette. Which I do really like. It's just a bit massive. I think this is the thing. Sometimes like when things are made for like collector's value or their collaboration as much as beautiful is somewhat harder to use them. Aren't pack them. You can't take them away with you All you have to take out to do that. Well that's the thing and I also feel so weird when it's Jeffrey Star because he is a makeup artist and he works with Sony makeup artists. And like you know what you're doing so like why are you making everybody's life difficult Jackson out but I get the pigment and the quality to me is fantastic. His School Miller is absolutely beautiful but he does make product to be collectible. Yes to the dressing table dressing table. Special it's not like one that's going into draw with Dell Pilots Yep. I'm surprised that it doesn't make a pro edition. Yeah I feel like that could be a route that he ends up going in on. So yeah the Joe. Mcgrath doesn't do that as well wish. She would be amazing because her speaking accounting for anyone who gives a beep a pot one's a really really hard to count because the noise then no entertain line up he's got hacked to pieces and also tastes like baked. Sometimes you can take them all bait. He's a very it's a conundrum. Yeah Melissa Nightmare. Pack OPA OPA offering packed in metal to have a prohibition of your eye shadows. Play is particularly. You're asking for better. Another reason to buy us off. I wouldn't be mad about if I was A. Oh honestly listen. Says I agree. He's into it he's into his Dylan. Well I guess it's time Lindsay is is we can take a quick break and then when we get back from said quick break. We're going to talk about the CAS Hollywood's biggest night. Sorry what was it three days ago. Now eight what is now days ago. I was on a plane so I missed it. I was working on this without it was three days ago Sunday evening. Yeah Fischbach everyone loves it was over. It was over a week to you. But we're speaking to you from the past the actual time travel so it was. It was only three days ago. I watched the Red Carpet. And then hotter gonNA clain red carpet now. Even I've seen that transitions make PA. I'm always fascinated if you guys. Think to yourself Lindsey. You find south using red carpet. Makeup has really got braver than it's ever been. I feel like I know there's always housing Ling's share. It's been a bit boring. I think just I believe maybe boring brave these days like maybe I mean. Don't get me wrong always going to stand for Lucy Boynton. Yeah I'm always GONNA say Joe Baker Unexciting Shit on her face. Stop loads of Shit on her face and she's beautiful so she's carrying off. I'm going to wear it down the supermarket but she looks stunning. One thing. I love about the way. Joe Baker does Lucy's is they. Don't overreach anything yes. You always see her skin imperfections. You always see the texture of her skin. We Larry honest but whilst being very editorial and Berry lead which I do love him. I just felt like this. The golden gloves were worse for. I think the Oscars was a little bit better but there was just like everyone either had a no makeup. Look Statement Harley lip and no makeup SOCIA- Ronin same face. Everything she went. Jude derive their this Shit Halo Water and then like I bet you person it was beautiful by how well translated to the red carpet. It just felt very underwhelming for me. But then that is in itself brave. All there was a lot of new lips or nude I read lip. Just love seeing a bit more excitement. Well I think you guys should check out. There's a make part is called Sandy. Gums are saying her name right and she works with Hunter Schaefer Sheet. It's really cool things so she did. I'm trying to find the references now so I can show you all I say show you all is if you can all see yukons pointless but we'll tell you what she even made those worn award season. She did recently with hunter where she actually made. Like shroff sqi finger casing so she baso and I thought that was really fun and she did. She did this. She kind of took the crystals like across the bridge of the news. And I think when makeup is like you said that's the word I would play for so it kind of goes out the comforts almost costume. It's a little hard because the skin is still natural. I feel like it does what you wanted to do. But you like. That's cool so I deck definitely recommend checking out Sunday guns to Sunday. Andy White G. A. N. Z. E. E. R. Recommend but yeah. That's beautiful checking HASTA foul. Also when there are so many young women young women women who are just bad ass. I like seeing them. Play a just a little bit safe. Unlike I love Beets Bates I never know. How does he waits? She looks amazing to me. Every time she breathes I think she stunningly beautiful Really loved her. Look but even that like look because they think they put so much emphasis on her head so is also has a natural curls. Show them all piled up they were really the focal point of her. Look really just didn't do anything to her face and she's going she doesn't need anything doing. Yeah wouldn't it be fun if we did? It's a real hard one because I think like I love the exciting like nuances may cut wire. It's playful little out that no so that you wouldn't be able to wear it via but then I also see I'm also a soccer fa like of Runako lay sort of like you know I love. I love old for me. Well and speaking of an old Hollywood Janelle monae yes to me. The most beautiful modern interpretation of that she had yeah gorgeous. Orange Red Lips of the Orange. That made it fresh and beautiful. That is just very lightly smokey but nothing was too much it was also pretty balanced and then the beautiful Saipa and then address was ridiculous kind of get married again so that was a brilliant draft and the makeup didn't address the orange pop on the lip really drew your. Yeah that's it. Brought such a perfect mix of the dress in the makeup working together An anyone could do that. Anyone could do that make up yes I love it. It's just so pretty. Yeah I think I mean it's funny because I think when I see someone without like traditional set in their a red lip and just a couple of like individual lashes and it all looks yet margot Robie but even slightly more to sort. I feel like that's like deconstruct almost like broth. Over his head because stayed left her roots and they left the inches of re-growth lake on an off day. I mean it was just like oh I don my beautiful finger waves and everything set gorgeous. But then we just didn't bother to do a roots but we do a makeup which. I thought was really interesting choice because if it had been perfect maybe it would look to perfect. Yes I did enjoy. I did enjoy the focus on nails as well. I've become more of a thing. Now that the season like obviously billy eyelash like that was a statement. The whole thing the chanel. The green hat loved it. I thought that was so she's INCR- and I love that she kind of enjoy that she will have like very nude face but then you know the half the lime green and the nails. It kind of feels relief package. I think is so interesting with her being so young and so creative and so talented and to lean into is such an early age. I think is incredible. Would terrify me to be as successful as she has been at that age. I'm like airy after but I love the because this is the thing you could so easily if you took her out of the oversize outfit took away the green. She's just a beautiful little doll. Yeah let's do such a good job of making her allowing her to communicate who she is through her style she just beautiful job of that and I love late chaired the Gucci Outfit. One and then the Chanel out fair the other like she just looked made the Makeup as it was stunning because it was so clean and beautiful really beautiful. I'm just looking through the images. Now I mean so just so many new I think because again also when you talk about zombies like her nails recall she had like little. She's about she had like a little cutout on. Hannah which was like a black tip but it was like in a diamond shape and I to me. I love it when you think okay after you really sheet. And there's just one tiny little detail like just catches your eye like for me. That is always really fun when it's like just something playful but you're always having to like you either find accidentally or you're kind of like. Oh Okay Yeah Yeah No. There was just so many interesting. There were sorry there were a lot of grown out blondes. Actually she says with their own growing up blonde girl. Kristen wig that as well there are a lot of people in Florence. Pugh had that as well and also. I think the short hair again. I think that's coming through like lovely. Livia feel like cheese. Right in the comedy. The Yeah Beautiful. Did she looks she brilliant? I thought she looked wonderful. Then in Britain type Anatomy Britain win pitches looks so fresh and perfect and like she just got up from the most glorious nap of all time so plump US always use describe a roast chicken so most of them. I'm going to say that clients. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa Make Chicken Cynthia Rio. What was about the bleach blondes? I love that that to me which now is not going to load and Cynthia Repo look was such. That was a statement look that she was really announcing itself all this she was nominated. Harriet it was like you. All you named after Harry and Tomlin I know okay. Just checking but yeah. I think that she really has announced herself in this award season by saying not only my here like I actually look. I should have been here my entire life to come out with that bleach-blond platinum crop and then dress was gorgeous as well but then like the very big statement. Dark is amazing nails. I really thought that to me was like a look. I'm here like love. Look I'm here. I wonder if we're going to see more men. Were I mean? Obviously I can tell you is make parties. I would say predominantly all. The men were wearing removing. We put it in the Industry Aka a little bit of concealing empowered. The has kinda done but I wonder if we can see more men experiment with makeup. I know that men have definite experiments fashion on the right call. Beloved empress spillage say. He's amazing but I think because of him now. I wonder if men are going to take more risks on top it. You know maybe experimenting with me like I think that would be really interesting. Is that last year's Oscars this last year's gone so fast but when cody fern who is also an American horror story with billy porter and he had a beautiful. I and he's gorgeous. It's stunning yes. He had a really beautiful I and gets run or something I knew he did. Say He's like a lovely finger wave peaceful. Yeah I thought he might do like an eye moment. Maybe it was very very subtle but it was maybe just because I know those boys like to Fox with the eyeliner yes even Antonio does like a bit of Guy Liner. We love that. They will look great. Obviously I thought Anthony. My auntie my to give a pop of Yeah Aubergine. I had something like that. The flick from Jovian I. I am all here for the short hair on the carpet. Yes me too. I think. That's very lovely woman Natalie. Portman looked like yes and I feel like the funny thing is when you think of Oscars I feel like the looks to IC- kind of and again I feel that classic. Look so I don't mind them. I just think that I notice year after year. In addition to the clean and the smoky is which is an artist. I'm off to do so. Yeah I feel like the era. The ice maze people.

"red carpet" Discussed on Off the Red Carpet with George Pennacchio

"This is off the Red Carpet with George Pinocchio sponsored by Mercedes Benz over one. Welcome to off the Red Carpet on George Pinocchio and today we are talking about something that began forty two years ago back in one thousand nine hundred seventy seven that is when George. Lucas introduced us to the world of Star Wars and for fans. Well I think we all know by now. They never looked back. They've been loving it all this time and now the end of the skywalker. Saga doggone brings to a close the entire nine episode series. Done in three different trilogies and the man to close out this blockbuster. Franchise Filmmaker J.J. Abrams I guess whenever I'm involved with something for a long time when it comes to an end I know that I'm GonNa miss something. What are you going to miss most about the star wars experience part of it is a challenge of doing it at all? You know saying yes as to this. I wasn't supposed to come back to to do episode nine and when Catherine Kennedy called and asked if I if I would I felt a level of fear in it I felt the challenge of it of ending this thing not just three calls nine films making a movie that works works on its own as well and it was just. It was a daunting prospect and yet that feeling of being in a kind of campaign gene you know sort of going to war every day you know how do we how do we. There's A. There's a certain kind of I dunno mentality that you bring to every day. Your costly problem solving second-guessing triple guessing inquiry. So for me are part of it will be that the obvious answer is this amazing cast. I this incredible crew. Everyone in post production. I mean I cannot tell you at the end of the movie when she does thousands of names and they were really thousands of names. Those are people who worked countless hours to make this movie and so I'm grateful to all of them. So when does it end. When did you know you had the ending right? It's a strange. I think this movie The the ending was something that was was of course very difficult to to structure and come up with and yet we did it fairly early on and oddly it was the beginning. That was the struggle and I think we we found solving that you know finding our way in post but it was. It was something that I sort of felt like for and while we had our ending so it was never really you know for a while we were a free the whole thing. And then we're less freaked out about the ending in the middle but it was a very strange Process on this one because usually the ending is it feels like is usually the biggest struggle but for this the whole movie was an ending in a in a weird way. You knew how to end it so we thought we did from you all right. You're giving me some heavy moments understand. I know you right now right now. Not Not now. Am I giving you some heavy on my vibes. You're good okay. I WanNa feel the emotions and you're going to give me. Several of them aren't aren't you. I think that I know. Is that the ambition of this movie which was always pretty enormous in terms of scope scope and spectacle scale and all that we were always conscious of the fact that none of that matters if you're not emotionally connected and if you're not feeling something and if you're going to cry you know you've got to laugh and if you're going to scream you have to care if you're going to the movie had to be this balance of of of of intimacy and spectacle but but the emotion of it is the only thing I really care about and I do think that if we did our job right you will experience the gamut including I think being being moved awesome. I'm out of time. Come on what. I'm sorry. Look it was ending up like a like a double shot. Come on you know this. And now to the cast daisy Ridley returns as the character array who continues her training and is determined to bring down the first order. All right. You're always this positive ositive light when I walk into a room to talk to you and then I hear that you're GonNa make very sad maybe watching some of this movie that it goes pretty deep this time does it does but there is a lot of joy there is a lot of joy. It's very fun. There were scenes. I'm an unusually. It's not enjoyable watching yourself but I remember NBA doing. There's a particularly with Oscar. That was so fun and with two cameras on us it was very messy and I remember doing it. How Fun it was watching? I was like that's nice. One Tissue Movie Tissue Movie Box Tissue Movie. I didn't cry during. I have only seen it once and I was more like a myself. I did cry after richly grant wept. So I think maybe a couple tissues maybe not true I wanna be surprised is when I go to see this and I started to read some of the articles and then it becomes like Blah Blah Blah because everyone who writes the articles they have a PhD in star. Wars I have a pretty good education stores. But I'm not like these super fans are you. Did you have to become one or did you just say no. I'm good with what I I now. Yeah and even like John is much more like aware of like fan conversations and I think he knows the novels and stuff like that I think for for each of us to represent Senate different sort of the Star Wars. FANDOM is great because there are people that might be watching this first star. Wars film might be watching this. That's what all of them and there's something something for everyone it's like. This beautiful story exists by itself. And then if you're a massive so it's fan there's all these other things that mean something in a historical way. so Um I'm Harrison and Kerry and mark we're forever entwined after this their star wars life was over. Is it going to be the same for your co-stars. Isn't that Nice. Yeah I mean. John said earlier I really am so lucky that it was John. Everyone else's also amazing. But AH we're both same age from London all of that source of and also just really love each other in a really lovely way and I think this could have been difficult and more isolated. I suppose if I didn't have someone to experience that with I think that you've handled this craziness with great grace but now I wanNA talk about your excitement for what's next scene because I think we need to remember that you were an actress before this and you'll be an actress long after this. Yeah I mean I'm reading great stuff I am unemployed but it's it's funny because the first time around my agent was like you. You shouldn't well actually. Jj said you shouldn't take each other films. Come out because people will see so of what you can do so I thought like it's okay. I obviously obviously don't love myself watching it but I'm proud of the work into it. So hopefully people might want employ me. When they've seen? I think there will probably got time for one. More question. A Trivia question. Because when you're waiting to do these interviews you only one star wars movie. Yeah does not Have Light Sabers in the poster. Which one is it? What's none of us? Oh maybe not phantom menace. The Empire Empire strikes one of the originals interesting because they call a big fight and that one that was a surprise Kylo Ren is also back played by Adam driver. He's the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia and he adopted his new name after turning to the dark side. Here's my interview with Adam. I come in here and I. I'm seeing you play this role or I will see it but I look at these other two movies you've gotten. I just think my gosh you can really mix it up and you will be we. We will not be able to go to the movies in December without you and at least two multiplexes. Yeah that's sorry no it. Do you ever wonder why you get hired so much. I mean I think people know you're a good actor but you get such a great range. Oh thank you I know I don't i. Don't try to analyze. Why get jobs I'm Jay? I'm grateful that I get them and grateful that it's with with people that you know. I wanted to work with. Luck has an incredible amount to do with it. Luck luck has amount but if you're not talented they can easily replace. Well Yeah I. I know a lot of talented people who for one reason or another haven't had the opportunities that I've had so I think timing and luck is a huge. I don't know what the percentage of it is but it's massive well. I want to go here now with this movie. And we're GONNA talk about. Everyone wants to know surprises and they want to know. I really don't WanNa know I WANNA WANNA walk in and not know a darn thing about this movie shoot. I know something. No no no no. That's the best way to go into these movies in particular particular because the spectacle is so huge that always on I mean with any movie really I mean even the someone was asking this earlier the people in my family. There's it's not a difficult the thing to keep from them because they want to be surprised like anybody else. I and I feel the true fans of these movies. Don't WanNa know anything. They they want to experience it As fresh as possible. I have seen all of the stores movies but then I start reading the articles that are happening before the movie comes out and you need a PhD. Need to decipher them. These fans have it so nailed down about what they expect and want. I bet you know that we'll be satisfied when this is over. I I mean I don't know I. I can't begin to speak to that many people but I feel it was very satisfying working on it so hopefully and from what I hear from everybody else in the cast asked to the scene at the that it does even reading Ed being onset every day I could feel that what J. Jj and. Chris had kind of come up with was unique and rare and a challenging thing to land of as he said in that press conference not three movies but nine. What do you miss about this experience when it goes away? I was selling some of the others that Harrison and mark and Carrie all stayed in contact for forty years. Yeah I Yeah I mean the relationships that you form are definitely. I always knew in the back of my mind that I was going back to the same group of people that you know. Oh you're Dresser Amanda or the script supervisor who comes you know came back for the with. Jj on the second. One are running into Kathy. Kathy Kennedy changed my life. She's the person that recommended me to. Jj for this job seeing her for off and on for six months you know bill. Every other year is feels very familiar and Oscar. Who I know? We've been friends before and got nothing but closer or over the course of these movies having moments with him onset offset. "We were actually shooting the film and We didn't have the the the two wives I went out to a couple of actresses and and what I heard back with lovely responses back were. It's the summer and it's summer vacation with the kids are a family reunion. And I can't do it right now. I wish it was a month from now or was a month ago and I went back to our lovely little hotel in buffalo and I said it to my wife Kimi I I I don't know what to do. I mean I know of other actresses but I I'm just not finding it. Kimmy took the little pad next to the phone. And she took out the pen right there in the western and buffalo and she wrote down to list for Rachel and Marianne Kimmy watches everything. She's just completely current on what's happening and she wrote the two less than at the top of the list of of Rachel was Marilyn and at the top of the list for Marianne was robin and she goes. These are your actresses. I knew them but I'd never worked with them before. And I said to tell me about them and she said just a robin has this incredible Maryland is this and it's different than and the things that she does but I really feel like she can find this thing and my wife convinced me and and of course I looked up and I knew them and that and I said I'm we shoot. Shoot them in in ten days from now put an offer out the next day within forty eight hours. They were working out their travel plans and and they showed up and I was like thank you thank you and then the real joy for me came with you know what they brought. This isn't that Nice. It sounds like it was just a great set all the way around to work on it was it was lovely and it was also because it was my hometown. I could not have made the film without without the support of Buffalo and I am not just saying I I mean like truly truly give you one example. The The main exhibit hall space. That's in the film. I always wondered you know. We're we're tiny little low. No budget film. How am I gonNA fill this up like artifacts and so one day about a year before we shot the film I was back? ACT visiting still like figuring out locations. Even though I don't have a dollar to to make the film and Tim Clark Film Commissioner I was talking about said. Hey I gotta take someplace is so. He took me to our Buffalo History Museum. which you only go to when you're in fourth grade and you learn American history? It's you take the field trip there and then you go buy a little rubber dinosaur. So so he we walked in there was built in one thousand nine hundred two in the main exhibit hall space in there. We met Melissa Brown her name the executive director of the museum and and I walked in the main and I thought I been here since fourth grade. And this looks like this. Looks like what we wrote and and she said so. Tell me about the story and I told her. And she said so. These these artifacts from this thing are do does anybody handle him or anything and I said no no no just one particular case ace that we open up and that would be a prop that we would make and she goes. Well come with me a second. And she takes me down into like the archives in that and she starts pulling out things from the mid eighteen hundreds and and there's all these beautiful like display cases and she goes you mean display cases like that and things like this and I'm like exactly and she says well you can use all of this you know. Oh and so that night. We had dinner with the mayor. Longest running mayor in the history. Buffalo Mister Byron Brown and I told Byron I said you know I went to the museum today the History Museum and he was like. That's very interesting. I have the keys to that building and in the history museum goodwill of Buffalo for this hometown guy. They They they closed down. I think for six or seven days and and and we shot there and that's our main really set piece. I think that's outstanding to here. Yeah could not have done it without them. Great Security supports for sure. All right one more question career. You've made this movie. I'm guessing it sparked something within you to continue doing this again in the future but what did you learn about yourself making this movie that made you just feel good. I I never knew that I had the level of concentration that it took I just I I I didn't realize that about That I could retain that much at one time the The directing part of it finding finding an actor's language for each actor because everybody needs to hear things in their own way the writing part to be on top of it at every moment the acting part. I really didn't have time for whatever process I have to producing part of it. That was the hardest eighty percent of your energy but all of that together with with the problems that are gonNA come along and they did We had weather issues in all boy. We had everything and all of that. I didn't have the leeway to to let it all go Not even a little bit. I couldn't and I didn't and we all had to stay like that but you know being the kind of somewhat leader of the whole thing I needed to have that sort of focus. That could have the ease. He's that this chip is okay and there's no water here so let's keep let's keep wrong. Well the movie is fun to watch. I had a good time. I love when that happens when I'm at a movie and I think people who go to see this know that they can take their kid or they can take their grandmother and it will be equally entertaining. And I think that is really the sign of when you know you have something when when people attached to it so the movie is called Colebrook. The Star of the Director in the co-writer is William fichtner owner. And let's talk about the release. Where do we see it and win? While it's going to be November eighth it comes out and Select cities around the US. I'm I'm happy to say one of them is his right here at the Lemon Liam Pasadena which was because. I really didn't know where where it was going to be great theater. Yeah it's a great theater and it's it's just feels like it's such a great theater for this movie it'll be around Selected cities around the US video-on-demand digital there are multiple platforms. That that's going to be on and I'm happy to say that You know I certainly didn't know this before though. I had a pretty good idea that you know to make an indie film. There's no guarantee you're ever going to see the light of day her certainly screen So you know A company called vertical came along long and and I had a feeling from the Gecko that they got the movie that I wanted to make and believed in it. And so they've been behind us big time mm-hmm and and so you know they're getting it out there and You know in two weeks from now two weeks from today actually I in a way I kind of say goodbye to it. All and then it it takes its own life. Whatever that's going to be and I have to say I'm really looking forward to that? You know it's time to go. Oh by a Menu L. O.. Three weeks after we wrap Colebrook. I've been working with a friend a great writer it On another script awesome. Well I would like to just tell everyone at home this right now wherever. You're listening When you last came to talk to me for your last film you said You'd come back when it was time to talk about this once? You kept your word. I appreciate that. So colebrook November eighth is the day. Go see it and thanks for joining me here on off the red carpet and thank you Mr Fichtner for being here once again for US tagging George..

"I don't think I ever let the EGO problem. Takeover get to grant at all I. I don't remember having in any trouble with that but I had a lot of trouble. Seventy one through seventy eight. Because I was those were my wild years and I would go to bars and you know it was the seventies you can imagine what people are doing. When they're in their twenties in the seventies and I did it all and but fortunately I wised up back in nineteen seventy eight and I went in the straight narrow so I've been I've been clean and sober over now for many years since the seventies and it's definitely the way to go will that be it a chapter two in the book you might? What a good idea? I think I will write a book Com. Thank you George. You heard here George. Nacchio said I should write a book and now I'm going to. I think I would read it. I know I would read it. Great I I I love Hollywood stories but a lot of your stories are kind of outs a little outside Hollywood. I guess because you're not showing up to be seen on a red carpet necessarily unless it's probably a friend of yours. That's the project that's true and I grew up in van is not in Beverly Hills or Hollywood so I kind to have a kind of a more of a Middle class upper middle class upbringing with my dad. He was a working actor. But we would never really what I would call wealthy but we did find and so I had a very normal childhood in Van Nuys and I'm grateful for that so here's a question out of left field. Did you live anywhere near rose. Marie we did not God. I loved Rose Marie. We live near Andy Devine. He lived down on castor. We lived at Valero and custody. Live kind of down near I think Uh Vic Oxnard and Kester Andy Devine live there and that was the big deal to me. I think people when they hear actor speak always wonder if it could happen to me and and I think what you're demonstrating in this interview is that you've just worked really hard and you've let people know that if they hire you they get one hundred percent of you which is important and I finally woke up and trained at some point in my young life and after I trained I got work. And that's the key thing. If you WANNA be an actor do lots of theater wherever it is Cleveland Cleveland or L. A. or New York or Chicago do lots of Theater Actors Act so you get out there and act and be part of a workshop group or something just get out there and do the work. Don't expect to come to Hollywood and has excess without doing the training. I'm so glad I hear you say that because I have friends who've said to me you know that they can't they're trying to get work they haven't gotten it yet and I said well. Oh you should try to look. There's a lot of ninety nine cents ninety nine cent ninety nine seat theaters in this town. You should try to get a job at one of them. It might not pay you much but you'll get to Practice your craft and I've heard well I'm really not a stage actor. I'm more of a TV and film actor and I'm saying your resume is almost empty. Your you're you're not a team in film actor you just want fame and what you really want is to know what you're doing right exactly actors actor you gotTa Get out there knocked. I can do it on stage. You know not everybody gets to be a big move your big TV show. If you like to act and I hope that's what's behind motivating these people that WANNA be actors. Get out there and do the work and do it on stage. It's a great training ground to do things and to learn your craft. If you weren't an actor what would you be. I really think if my my dad Bene- plummer I'd be fitting pipe now. I wanted to do what my dad did. And fortunately he was working in serious actor a character that have been in twelve angry men. Twelve angry men and won an Oscar Oscar for sweet bird of youth. Won a Tony for Broadway with inherit the wind with Paul Mooney so he was a serious actor that really focused on doing the work and You know if if I wasn't an actor I probably be a carpenter because I had some skills as a carpenter. I made my dining room table and some chest of drawers and things so I am not Harrison Ford. Don't get me wrong as it's an actor or a carpenter. But I can I can do some woodwork. Did your dad ever critique your work. I hadn't done much work while he was still alive. Live sadly but he did see a player to e found something positive to say about my early young work which was quite primitive and unskilled but he found something positive to say he was great many ways and he also taught me for years without me. Knowing I was being taught I would run lines with him cume for his day's work on wagon train into one of those shows and so in so doing I was taking a lesson with my dad. I didn't know how he was doing it but he was well. While we're speaking with Ed Begley Junior. WHO's one of the stars ars of ABC's hit comedy? Bless this mess. He's promising all sorts of new things happening this season including a little bit more romance perhaps with Pam career and before we leave. Let's just talk about Pam Grier for a moment because I grew up watching her in those blaxploitation films and I love seeing that Renaissance Sants when she came back was at Jackie. Jackie Brown with Quentin Tarantino Ball. Or stor I love that people are seeing that she can make you laugh. And that she can be Pam grier actress and not necessarily Playing the roles she was offered once upon a time. I like her arc as as an actress site. That's the genius of Liz. Mary weather and relate bell to give her that opportunity and to know that she could deliver and she has every episode. She so funny she so wonderful so down to Earth so I was thrilled to do this part on its face. But when I heard they had cast Pam grier and the part. I was doing backflips just I. I've had a ball every day. All right so last question and you can say the answer. Is Ed Begley Junior. Who is the funniest person on your set behind the scenes? No Question Lennon Parham. She is hysterically funny. A close second is David cater the two of them I've told the directors and producers said you cannot put us in the three shot. If you WANNA get anything anything usable you have to separate me out in a single with them. In A TWO-SHOT I can't keep a straight face when they do the scripted dialogue dialogue can make it through George but when they start to do this improv out that they're so brilliant at the two of them I just I can't I can't contain myself sky high. It's another reason to watch your show. So thank you for joining us for your enormous career in show business with all these credits and all these years and all this entertaining. I appreciate you stopping by here at off the red carpet and you can see. Bless this mess Tuesdays at eight thirty after the connors that extra time. Seven thirty central. That's right so ed. Is there any social media that people could follow you you one right now or are you like a regular Joe and staying off all that stuff. No I do some of that Go to ED. Begley DOT COM and my My twitter's at Ed Begley JR JR so Dropped me a tweet or drop me a line go to Ed Begley Dot Com and visit and you'll see lots of green stuff that you can pick two okay. "Are some other veterans returning behind the scenes directors Chris Buck and generally and producer. Peter del Vecchio I have this fascination with this horse and when you told me last night that it took fifty people to make that right I am absolutely absolutely may be underestimating. I want just want to know more about the horse. It's in the clips certainly when we Throughout that challenge how do you create a horse. that's not only made of water but we need to see it under water. It required such collaboration between animators affects. Artists isn't lighters and our visual development department. We weren't quite. They weren't quite sure how they would achieve it but we're thrilled with the results. There were a lot of bubble conversations about Bubbles I wanna be said last night also which I really appreciated was that you have a vision and you're not sure that you can necessarily accomplish implicit but you give it to the people who think they might be able to and while it happens right. They're the ones that the ones we'll throw out these challenges all the time and we don't even think we always ask us as possible and they're like we think so and then they come away with stuff that is way beyond what we could ever amassed this forms. A great thing is they could see the story developing and it always comes from story and so they get excited about that and they want to deliver. I think that you are in a situation. Now you've seen this at the dolby theater with all those children walking and you know how the audience is responding and you know what happens when this goes on and what goes through your body chemically shiels happen I I mean I think what's so fascinating is this is the moment I just said it's like the week before giving birth where you're anxious and nervous and you are so excited everything means so much and to see it yet. Beginnings start its way out to the world that Before opening in here audiences is just builds that anticipation so it's thrilling. It's bittersweet it's everything all at once. Is it fair to ask irresistibly. If which child you like better as I say you like this one better or it's a different kind of love. I think it's very different. Kind of the first one was just the beginnings of creating these characters together they had truly been formed in this way they were sort of formed already but it was taking them deeper and pushing them taper. So it's like you love your five five-year-old for who they are but you also love your teenager or maybe not as much older teenager there there is something about when the first one came out and everyone loved it. It did so well people wanted it instantly and I think you are actually Lebron smart to wait because the anticipation has been building now for baggers nervous. It's always the story. I mean we always WANNA approach it from the point of view from the character's point of view and we don't really some movie until we feel confident and ready for. We don't even released it until we know we have the story that we wanNA tell. I probably have time for one more question. It's about women so it's going to the one that sounds sexist. Now that it's I I think it's too bad. s women were girls once upon a time but there is so much more strength in both of them they are both her roic that it really is a pleasure to watch play out. That means a lot. I think I think what I love about both of these women as they surprised us when you say when the characters tell you where they need to go and you listen to them it. It's something very special and what I was blown away by what they would willing to do for each other and for the kingdom for their families but when when faced with things even on their own what they what they're capable of. I think things that we never imagined and so I really hope these two can really Help US anyone look at the courage. They have within even when they're not sure they have it and power perseverance. There are two newcomers to the team for froze into who I also had the pleasure of sitting down with to Chat Sterling K.. Brown plays Mateusz. The leader of a group of soldiers and Evan Rachel Wood lends her voice is to do now the mother of Elsa and Ana I love that you are in essence a Disney Geek. Yeah I'm in essence. This one right here may be more of a Geek than I am but I I am that guy who loves the storytelling that animation allows right and I think Disney does has it better than anybody else because they're animation has always been top notch but the stories are the ones that keep pulling you back time and time again. It's the difference between why people will see something once and they're like fun and why you keep watching something you don't Chris the billion dollars the first frozen because it just looks pretty it is because the story resonates with you in such a deep way that you watch it over and over again something new away from a to absolutely the lion king is is probably my number one and the older I've gotten you relate to all the different versions of Simba and then move Fossa and then the one that's running away in the kid the I mean it's just like all of it like you always take something different away you might be right about so when he's got real so this might be a good question. I know that when sterling got this Gig he basically jumped up and down on his bed with his wife. Yeah something like that to celebrate. What did you do? Ah for the hair and makeup trailer on a film I was doing and I'm sitting there trying to get ready and I found out and I start beefing and it. It kind of threw a wrench in the hall getting ready process that day. But I couldn't believe it because I auditioned for it. I thought it went really well but you never know and then I didn't hear anything for a month and a half so you just you just think man maybe went away and you just get this phone call out of the blue that your dreams have all come. I liked that you had your tapie daughter there last night to watch your movie. Yeah and so. You're they're seeing you. Kids is but in talking to the two of you. I think you will see it with adult is am orm kids. Is I think so. I think that you never lose that feeling of who you were when you first experienced it right and then you just evolve over time as as well and so both perspectives exist at the same time like all the silly laughs are laughs that laugh at every every single thing and then like the deeper messages also have residents for me as an adult I talked with you about your character lacks night. I should probably talk to you about yours. Because it's your both characters right so yeah you you do love this person you play. I really do and it's funny. My partner looked man was like yeah. Isn't it weird. They always cast their characters kind of books do you do you see how much you're like her as. Oh yeah actually. It's really weird. Can you put it that way they do do that. I took it as a huge compliment. You see kind of. She's like the bridge between on Elsa You see where the spunky of honor comes from and sort of this. This mystery that Elsa has the mother sort of encompass all those things and she's so fiercely sleep protective of her daughters that she's willing to give the ultimate sacrifice and she has her own mysteries that they need to uncover and she's left breadcrumbs for her children and to discover themselves through the past. So I'm giving this so I will just end comment that I didn't expect this to go as deep as it did. It took us to a new place and as a moviegoer I appreciate that. Thank you Georgians. All this talent in one movie and that's not the whole cast also so in this film. Alfred Molina Martha Plumpton Jason. Ritter Jeremy Sisto Alan to Dick and many more this film is rated. PG It runs about an hour and forty minutes or so and it is in theaters. Now thanks for joining me for another addition of off the red carpet. Hope you enjoy frozen into if you haven't seen it yet if you have you can always write to me on twitter at A._B._C.. Seven George thanks for joining us by..

"The Red Carpet with George Pinocchio sponsored by Mercedes Benz. Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of off the red red carpet. I'm George Pinocchio and today we're talking about frozen to which audiences seemed to have really warmed to after it's big debut at the box office. You know this is a sequel. We knew was going to happen some day and now frozen. Who is finally here? And it's exceeded all expectations in that debut including including setting several new records at the box office. Adina Menzel. Kristen Bell returned to their roles of Sisters Elsa and ANA and just like I did back in twenty thirteen. I sat down with them again to talk about what have become iconic roles. You use the word proud when you associated it yourself with this movie. Tell me why there's that sense of pride Because I of I think that it's really cool that it's two female leads in the film and that it's done really well commercially with that. Being the thing and and then on top top of that of course it just all the m self empowerment kind of themes and themes about sort of owning. What makes you really unique in this world and and sort of not apologizing for that and then talking about different kinds of love them we've ever seen like you said it so well the other day when and I've just been repeating it but ah that most movies are about romantic love and that's important and Super Fun to watch? You want people to fall in love in front of you but not a lot of movies have discovered have talked about self flovent or familial love and we put that at the forefront of the first movie I say we would. It's obviously very collective. But that's where the pride comes from. 'cause I personally early believe if you don't have self love or familial love romantic. Love might not be in your future. Those are sort of the first two steps so to put that on on the front burner for kids to digest in a way that simple for them Was it just makes railing part of that. I think maybe it's because it's six years later but am I correct in saying and assuming that you're just more bad ass this time out. I way more when you ride that worse. I ride awards God. And she summons huge giant Boulder Monster People takes them on on and tells them to run after her so she can win on a spoiler. It's the cool thing is the the what we do in. This movie is what people can accomplish if they look into familial love and self love early on in their life if you fill those cups inside you and you don't open yourself up to the world when you're eighteen and you leave your nest empty if you don't if you're not empty because you kind of know who you are and you've given yourself some tough love and and you can rely on people around you. You can accomplish anything. You have a much better center of gravity and self esteem and I think you watch these girls. They still still struggle but there some girls with some self esteem. Also the feeling of I know with my younger sister and I would do it for you just that that. Unconditional love and that loyalty not and that's that territorial ness that sends a flight. I'm going to protect you. No matter what nobody my mom used to always say nobody with my kids everywhere and now I find I have always saying that feeling like I will do anything that you're okay beautiful when it's kids 'cause I have two girls and my favorite thing in the world. What is when they both turn against me? Because I'll be reprimanding like the older one will do something silly and I'll reprimand and I'm like do need to take time out and the little one will come up go. Don't talk up to my sister and I'm like I it's funny I wanNA laugh but I'm also like overjoyed that they're defending each other. I'm almost out of time. We talked about in your crazy schedule last night but in the midst of all of this. You've got a Christmas album. You need to be promoted to a holiday album actually she. There's this great original song on it that I wrote my friend Jonas Miron and it's It's it's called at this table and we were writing. We're writing the song and it's sort of about inclusivity and acceptance and forgiveness and family and And it felt like really great holiday song that we needed and at this time and then and with frozen coming out and us being snow queens and just having a really celebratory kind of season ahead and it just felt like the right thing to do so in the studio I cut a bunch more holiday. Get this album because this is the album. You'll want to damn to Christmas this year. Do it that's my sister. The two other stars return for the Sequel Josh Gad who Voices Olaf and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff. I have never seen somebody tried to propose more movies. I know right yeah. I guess that's what happens when you spend your entire life living in the mountains and then you're only just now getting used to human interaction as opposed to reindeer interaction and then it's love and then it's proposal and it's a lot of pressure. Is it fair to ask you if you like this one more or is it a different kind of like or love it is aids. It's like asking what your favorite child is is Will you have one. I yes I do you you you love them both equally for different reasons I think that the first one is it's just such a tremendous love letter to The love between siblings in particular sisters And I think that the second one one takes that theme and just expanded into a way that it not only makes this film stand out on its own accord but makes the first one that much deeper deeper but for me. There's so many themes in this one that I think are even richer are more challenging for my character. Personally I love the growth. Both of him going from sort of toddler to more fully fledged child. Were starting to ask questions in have these existential sort of Thoughts and I just think that the creative team is so brilliant at working from the inside out so that the sequel is really about these characters. It's Abou how the journey that they each need to go on in order to not only grapple with what's going to happen in their futures but come to terms with their past. I said I don't know if we're going to get this clip but I'm going to ask you. We talked about last night. You have this fantastic song. Look it looks. There's slight smile. They say that they told you we're going to give it to you. Didn't believe them you've got yeah. Last night at the premiere was like did the Song Week. The kind I don't know I don't Unbeliev- that it's real. I feel incredibly lucky to have sung a song by by being Kristen Lopez their incredible incredible songwriters. I also got got to sit down with the Oscar. Winning songwriting team of Bobby. Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez. This is one interview I will not soon forget. I mean come on. How many times do people actually sing to you? I still need to tell you after talking to him again today. Jonathan groff off is in some kind of disbelief that his song is included in this. We're so excited for the world to hear what Jonathan has done. It's so beautiful and I'm really hoping that it empowers people everywhere including men to really feel their feelings in a big big way. You're sitting in front of a piano at home. Are you teaching your kids how to play. I wish they would learn from me but they are taking lessons with with licensed professionals nationals. You couldn't pull rink. They won't listen to it wasn't it wasn't good. I mean imagine if your father bother with sitting over over you like nope back at them. Is there one song in this movie that you love more than any other there. Are you know they're all our little children and we've been talking about into the unknown because it's such a great way to sort of summarize and introduce Sir the movie to people because it's all about Elsa dealing with this call We really started with the characters. Elsa isn't where she is meant to be when when when she is the queen of Arundel. She's she she has. There's a call and it's leading her out of her comfort zone and in a way that's sort of what life is about it's about Taking risks of chicken. Fine where you need to go. So Dina sings it in the movie in the credits performed by disco and in this room by you. Yeah Sir. Original always sixteen bars. Where do you WANNA start adventure? Certain of what I'm thinking I'm into the into So can you guys ever go to a party at someone's house when there's a piano and not play mm-hmm I always force bobby to sit down those. I think it's the coolest magic that he can create to sit down and and play almost any song you've ever. I heard of social advantages of being a piano geek. I'm almost out of time right one minute. Good that's more than I thought I had. I usually get the timing a little bit better than that so excited. Let's just talk about the power of these women now at one they grown up. They have more power. We see it onscreen. Did you when you were doing these songs. Give them more power in the words and in the music it all comes from story and it all comes comes from. WHO's really in charge of this story? And that's Jennifer Lee Who is I just? She's taught me so much about finding your your own power at the table and speaking up and speaking from your point of view not someone else's And so she we work with her. We create the story and it just comes out in the song when you're writing for strong women that they are going to sing strong big songs doing. Are you taking requests today. Chancer I I need to intro this piece. So how about something like. Here's George Per Nacchio with our story okay. And there.

"red carpet" Discussed on Off the Red Carpet with George Pennacchio

"I'm here right now with a guy who has been in show business for fifty two years by my calculation on my right. I can't believe at fifty two years. It's true nineteen sixty sixty seven. I started George and you were in an episode of my three sons. And we're talking with. You may recognize the voice. Ed Begley Junior. I look at your resume. A and I am stunned at the amount of work you have done you did the. FBI mannix nanny and the Professor Adam. Twelve the Doris Day. Show Baretta Medical Center and and I'm trying to figure out as I'm looking through this entire resume. What do you consider your big break? Were saying elsewhere at that was fifteen years in. I know now I been an actor for a decade and a half and a wonderful day player kind of an actor occasionally getting a nicer role but never really breaking out but I got lucky break. I did not get the part I wanted. Wanted the part of a regular character contract player of Peter White and I did not get that part that threw me a bone gave me this recurring possibly recurring character Ehrlich and proved to be one of the main characters in the show. Wow and that lasted a long time. Six wonderful years eighty to eighty eight and it also had one of those endings that people still talk about. Yeah it all took place in the mind of an autistic child in a Snow Globe and that was when no one was talking about autism. And now it's so much. A part of our daily conversations is a big bold thing in nineteen eighty two hundred eighty eight and they dealt with very well but the ending was kind of a puzzle. I'm not Richard a real crowd pleaser. George what about the idea of medical shows being popular since TV was in its infancy. We saw Dr Kildare correct. And and then Casey Casey and Marcus Welby and you're on an episode of Medical Center. So I was marcus. Welby love medicine so much on TV. It's way way it's the same reason we love cop shows so much at stake. It's life and death stuff and then you see people have these wonderful human lives and real lives kind of like ours. But then they're you know our saving people and cops are saving people. Doctors are saving people so they'll always be cop shows a medical shows. I believe there are a lot of people who might be listening to this right now. Who Want to the actors and I look at your resume and I see what's listed anyway as three hundred and twenty four different gigs over the course of these fifty two years? So do you have a really good batting average in this town don't you. I'm very lucky I won the lotto. That's for damn sure. My Dad was an actor and I want to do what my dad did but George hadn't a clue what was involved. I was literally resentful silently. Thank God resentful of my dad. Why he didn't just get me a gun? Smoker wagon train or something like he could pick up the phone and do first of all and like more importantly I deserved it which I did not because I had no training imagine the son of a plumbing saying the son of a plumber. Saying I'M GONNA do some plumbing ride in the truck today. You you have to learn how the pipes together you know. Is that copper. Pipe or steel galvanized pipe. There's a lot to it and I had no training whatsoever. I just had that wake me when I'm famous attitude when I was quite young. Were you getting roles that were kind of like the good-looking teenage kid with the blonde hair and blue eyes always always the nerdy guy. Had Thick. Glasses is at the time and there are a little less thick today because of improvement improvement in Lens quality but I had thick glasses so I always got the nerd in a computer world tennis shoes and now you seem now you don't all those Disney movies. I was a nerd and Kurt. Russell's pack of misfits and some of those movies. Who are some people from your past? That are still part of your present in your now. Well I wish Bruno Kirby still was. He was my best friend and we lost him years ago. But I'm still quite friendly with with Jeff Goldblum and Michael Richards Richard and with lots of people that I've known since college and around that same time. I have friends for many years Jerry Burns and I've been friends for many years Buck Henry and I are friends for many years and very fortunate to have a lot of friends that I still say. Isn't that Nice that those people still exist and you were all once upon a time. Something else trying to Make it in this town. I'm guessing so. Did you get excited. Were there reasons to celebrate when say maybe you were before Jeff Goldblum and Jeff Goldblum got something great. Did you gather we did. We'd always gather and celebrate the other successes and I've had a lot more celebrating. Jeff Une- as for me but he's always been great when I got she-devil with Meryl Streep who is very kind and celebratory with me when when that happened and you know we support each other Jerry Burns a good friend of mine too and he gets this part and I get that we always celebrate Bruce Davidson. I are often up for a lot of the same roles always. He's always so kind when I get one and I try to return the favor when he gets one. Is that weird when you go up against a good friend and you're both want the same thing. Yeah but it's it's kind of all in the family. When Michael mckean gets a partner I do? He's always quite nice about a two. I'm thinking of all all these friends. That have this relationship with friends. Like James Jeremiah's who's a writer who wrote the original script for lost boys and we see each other like twice a week. We have lunch and we're like great friends and I'm not competing with him as a writer so there's great cause to celebrate. Have you ever blown audition because you wanted a friend of yours to get the role. I never went that far. I ah blew it onto my own steam with my own left to my own devices. I blew it for reasons all my own alright so we mentioned that you had fifty two years in the business so I think think it's safe to say that you've recently celebrated a big birthday. But I look at you and I don't put a number on your face. I just feel like you've been part of my television life for as long as I've been watching television whole life because I started in nineteen sixty seven. I'm not sure you were born in nineteen sixty seven George so keep that a secret okay. But I'm seven years old and I've been doing it for low these many years and I'm so grateful. It was exciting when I got my first job because I had been auditioning and never got a thing because as I said a minute ago no. I had no training when I started to train. That's when I got work but I had a paper route. At that time that was my paying job was a paper route so george left my makeup on and went out and did my paper out. Hopefully AH hoping that somebody would recognize me and look at the makeup and go wait a minute. Does that make up are you an actor here. Signed this literally in my paper route and in a makeup hoping to be recognized recognized as pathetic. Wow but that you've continued to work in this town reputations matter Ed and there are some people who producers don't want to hire because they're trouble and I can look at your three hundred twenty four credits and realize you're not trouble. What is it about you that people want Ed Begley on their sets? You've hit upon something important to me because I have many friends who are actors and most of them are way more talented than me but like like all of them thankfully to I show up on time and I try to make everybody's job easier every soundmen every grip every electricity every follow focus. Guy Doesn't cost me on a thing to make their job. WBZ after and to know my lines to be professional. So that's what I do. I get there early as I did. Today I'm sorry I got so early. You know you're kind of crates. I mean it was fun to talk but I get I get to places early and I do the crossword. I'm always on time and always know my lines and so that counts for something and people want to have you back. You've also seen television change over the course of your time in it so as I was looking later on in your resume I see seventh heaven. Jack and Bobby six feet under you did some Veronica Mars. There's really too many things to mention. But Television was once black and white and sweet and innocent and then it kind of changed and got socially relevant and now it it it kind of almost Tests all the boundaries. Doesn't it when I was in room. Two twenty two in the late sixties and early seventies. That was kind of a bowl show. Oh James L. Brooks was the head writer on that show. I believe in the beautiful Karen. Valentine Herron Valentine Lloyd Haynes and Denise Nichols a great cast you've got a great memory for shows weren't even born born to see but bless you George but it's technically changed. It used to be so hot in the set because you needed four hundred foot candles to get an F.. Four to get a proper exposure. Oh sure on Lens you needed four hundred foot candles for those out there. They don't know what that is. That's a tremendous amount of light and heat because the lights were not. Led's or anything. There are big hot lights in Arclights. Right so what have you and the equipment was elephantine. These huge cameras and huge a sound card. was this tall and this. Why just to record sound before the Nagra tape recorder came into Ah popularity so everything was big and complicated and then it got smaller and better and filmstar got faster and everything changed technically and in many ways during your your time on saint elsewhere it was one of those moments in television? There are people. Now look back and say it was the glory days as times have changed and and the Pie has has been cut up in so many more pieces right. You remember those days on sale elsewhere where it was kind of TV superstardom because that show was so oh incredibly successful. It was George. We were kind of thought of something of a mediocre ratings. Show getting a thirteen share a fourteen share. We never got a thirty share are at twenty five or something like that. So we that was our average was in the low to middle teens and so that was nothing at the time and now it's there were only three networks Fox hadn't really had any success we were still doing saint elsewhere garden. Sierra was trying to start the Fox network and our had really taken off yet so there was really three networks. If you're on one of those there's networks on the show you were a big deal and that's just the way it was in that change and now we have we have now you're getting a You know one share your happy. So you're you're right. There are some there are some shows that struggle to stay on the air Or last that the orders are are fewer. Not every show gets twenty into episodes anymore right. That's true sitcoms or dramas but I think that's Kinda fun sometimes because you look forward to seeing it come back and I enjoy that anyways and look the quality of the shows nowadays nothing against the wonderful golden age of television with Pat. HFC and all those one at Sydney those wonderful talented people my dad. That's the Golden Age chipped television the craft playhouse and all that but now I really believe George Win The platinum age of television with breaking bad. And you know handmaid's tale of these wonderful shows. It's just just amazing. What's going on today television and I'm just glad and proud to be on? You know a lot of the shows that are really high high quality I think also many more actors get the opportunity to work. They may not be making those paychecks. That's happening in the eighties. But they are getting to practice their craft. And if you're artists I think that's what you really WanNa do..

"This is off the Red Carpet with George Pinocchio sponsored by Mercedes Benz however one and welcome to another edition of off the red carpet rapid. I'm George Pinocchio and today I'm joined by an actor who we've been seeing for thirty years on film and on television you'll know him. His name is William Fichtner. thickener right now you see him starring on. TV's mom on CBS. But William has a big deal now in his life it's his passion project. It's a film that he he has directed and Co written and stars in and it's called Cold Brook and I like when you go to. IMDB MR FICHTNER and Z.. That you leave a little bit mysterious. You don't want us to know too much about your movie although we're going to get some of it out of you today. Well there is the. You've you've seen the film so there is. There's there's one element about it that that I dance around a little bit only because it's a bit of a surprise in I and the storytelling of it all It's about two guys out with friends. Two ordinary guys in a small town best friends for life. Since they were kids they grew up. Together they worked together and these guys have an extraordinary experience and ultimately we are faced with the decision of. How far do you go to help a stranger? And that stranger played by Harold Perrineau right. Who was was on is back in the day and your best friend? Is Kim coates. who was on sons of anarchy with with that made a big splash on television? But I'm looking at your resumes coinciding. Oh inciting and you guys did Pearl Harbor. You did Black Hawk down. You were both on entourage at some point. How long have you known this guy? Are you best friends in real life. We actually are best friends and really I met Kim. two thousand one in Rabat Morocco. Shooting Blackhawk Tom. Tom I was over there Our Blackhawks didn't show up. There were three weeks late so we were doing a lot of training with with the Czech stunt team and and our last Delta Guy came over. Kim Coates I knew who he was but I never met him before and he came on set when they and they're like God. This is Kim coates. Soon you'll be with your team. And he walked over and he was like a man. I said I was going. He goes we from Buffalo. You say go savers I went. Wow Okay I got a buddy here right I gotta hockey guy and Found out we were there for five months together and found out that he lives about twelve minutes from my house and That was the beginning of it. You know I mean I. I've met my best friend when I was forty. Four years. Old That's awesome. I think there's something about Kim Coates Wanna discuss. When you see we have to do we have talked about him would not much? They'll of course it's all about you talk about Kim coates and we see on camera often. He's playing these very intense characters and and he's got these piercing blue eyes. That can sometimes look very very intense. And don't mess with me. Kind of he knows how to do it. You have taken those is and kind of made them friendlier and approachable Miss Role. Does that make sense to you now when I see his eyes. It's like I want to know this. This Guy Listen coaching. I talk about this all the time. You know I'll be with him because we hang out together. I'll be with people go. Oh Man Look at you two guys man. Two's she was like like the ultimate bad guys. You know. We'll walk Wayne Look at coats and I'm like what's that all about what I've said it for for for a dozen years if you have cheekbones and blue eyes and his business people think you kill people. Butts you know coaching. I just talked about this the other day. I think if I look I look look at the list of films that I've done in my life. You know. Heavies arguably super heavies. Maybe maybe ten out of fifty Comedies way more than that and but still it's identifiable thing people get you know they get locked in an image on something and I'm not saying I feel locked in at all but but get it I get it so with him. You know and right in the writing of Colebrook it was always meant to be. I mean backing up to Morocco after Morocco. A few years after that I said to another great friend of ours came to his name. And he's like my little brother and I said I have an idea for a story but I wanNA ride it and but I'm writing it for me Kim. It's a story about friendship and so it's going to begin their. I don't WanNa do it with anybody else but Kim And it was always meant to be these two small town guys and they weren't we're GONNA be. I didn't want to tell a story about guys that were crazy. I wanted to tell us about guys fishing and light fireworks. 'cause it's fun it's kind of Huck Finn in a little bit. I'll take that it is take an adventure that's going on your two. Men are boyish in a way and when I say about Kim's is being kind of friendlier and and he sees like for the first time. Certain things and it's kind of exciting and you have the same look in your eyes so there's a real approachability to these. Two guys that I think is going to be fun for movie goers to see we would want to be your friends. I think when people you know the experience that we've had over the last year taking it to some festivals and finish thinkers earthier festivals. Really you really get it like Berkshire Woodstock and Napa and we went to all of these festivals with the film but one of the things that I love about it and as we started off this conversation saying thank you know. I'm a little quiet about some elements of of the film because one of the things that I love most when people see the movie. And I've heard this more than anything else is is. I had no idea it was going in that direction and I love that That the story goes off like that so we shall see. Let's let's you suspend belief a little bit if you Maybe are a little bit sarcastic in your life for or questioning in your life this lets you kind of just go for a neat ride. Yeah ride in upstate. New York which is which is where I was so committed to shoot the film and I I had opportunities maybe three or four years ago. There was a possibility of maybe shooting it in in Somebody talk about shooting up in Canada. And then when I finally met these these two Canadian producers that came on board really wanted to shoot it up north and I said not we we have to shoot it in in western New York. I wrote it for their. There's no reason to go anywhere anywhere else. But it's tough. It was tough to shoot it in western New York because of tax incentives so a little piece of history that four years ago. They the local Film Commissioner Western New York Gentleman named Tim Clark came to me and he called me up you can. Can you be in buffalo and a couple of weeks on I remember. It was like a Wednesday morning in July for a breakfast meeting and I sit shirt him. What's it goes? You GotTa be here so I flew back to Oslo and it was meeting some local state senators about the fact and my part part of it was like I have a little film that I would like to make. I can't get anybody behind me because the tax incentives is pretty much you know null and void. It's not much at all and the money is allocated needed but if you don't have the incentive build it they won't come out of that meeting. The legislation was introduced and governor. Cuomo passed it and now there's film. Production in buffalo is is on the rise all the time and right now shooting big things and because if you become well part of it because of all the bill we really cared about it. There is one problem with your movie. Now Yeah Gimme a man named Kit Clark as a news anchor when it should be Pinocchio and we struggled over that it was a big thing. Well the gentleman. I was just talking about Tim. Clark that film commissioner who I could not have made the film without and the gentleman that was in charge of our post production. His name is kit. So I'm sitting there one day thinking. What am I going to name it? I'm like oh it's gotta be kicked Clark so there it is and he's in. He's a real newscaster in Buffalo. I think that's perfect. Yeah the guy came in to read for me and he said I have the pages he was kind of nervous as it. Just read it like you're you. You know what I asked him. I said what's the story at the end of the newscast words like and today. A little fun thing happened and he goes what he called. Did the kicker something that I said. Well I do it like the kicker so I'm sitting in a room with the video rolling any takes the monologue in front of Germany reads. It almost fell out of my chair. I shouldn't be surprised. Because that's what he does but he read it and I was like Oh my God. That's incredible. Please show up in two see weeks and do it and he did. You need to have some kind of a special showing out there. Because that's fantastic. He'll get all of his viewers to come. That'd be cool. Well we we did I did AH I. I went back to buffalo last December year after we shot the film. And there's an old seven hundred seat theater called the North Park Park Theater and and they donated you know. They're a first run movie house and they closed in on a Sunday night so I could have thank you buffalo. Everybody that worked on it. The mayor the politicians Senator Gallivan who introduced the legislation. And they were all there. That's really great. You also have someone in this film that is very close to you because and the credits I noticed Kimberly fichtner. Yeah yeah well we were. It was probably probably three or four months before we started shooting. I knew we had the money or most of it. We were going to go forward and we're going to make this happen and Kimmy one day one day she just says out of the blue to me. I'm in it right and I'm like five did. Yeah yeah honey. Absolutely and and she's like can I play one of your wife. I'm like no no does not happening so there were not many options but I I liked the idea and I really wasn't thinking about it before that about her plan. Vicky the waitress and juniors joint.

"The first couple of episodes is kind of his new budding relationship with Sean and developing you know not a mentor but just two buddies and it's kind of like homo not to loneliest guys on the show. It's it's almost like the two the two people that are very quiet with their internal feelings. And it's it's he started seeing sprinkles of it in in the episodes where they start sharing are the Alex Park wants to share. The only person he feels safe in really sharing with is is Sean. I think when you talk about this show there is clearly a love for being here and you you know based on that one time watching the show. That was too difficult. How I don't know the the white we're but how maybe on spying for people who are tuning in people tune into the show and when it's over they don't necessarily forget it some of the episodes last asked and some of the themes or the illnesses that you guys tackle people know someone were you know? There's a there's a connects next people. That's the word connection. Yes and that's to me is is anybody who watches this show is someone you know. Eventually we will all be part of this system in some way or another whether it's kids whether it's her mom or dad or US individually and I think that the cool thing about this show is you know Freddie Moore's Moore's character along with the other residents and doctors you know it's always about what if or how do we or it's not this. Could it be that you and I found having been in that system in the real world that is not always the case and and I love that. This show teaches people to go. Oh no question it questioning question. Your best advocate. Where your your son or daughter's best advocate another doctor continuing to make rounds as Morgan resnick? She's played by Fiona Guberman. I'm conflicted sometimes about Dr Morgan. Because for instance in the first episode of the new season she is so happy be when someone has cancer. And you don't know how to react to that moment. Well the clarify. She's not so without that they've cancer cancer but she's so happy that it's opportunity for her to get to do her for Solo surgery and it is a very curable cancer. So it's not you know and here's another thing. You promised me a disaster about a first date you let this character loves the. She's kind of like the tornado in the the room. Sometimes isn't she well things up but she also is gifted is that gifted with I say this in with all the love and the world as my mother got older in life there was a filter that disappeared and she just said whatever it was she was thinking. Morgan has that filter at her young. I mean it's amazing. I would like that filter. No filter Morgan. It is unapologetic in many areas. Including just speaking what she what she thinks she's she's very opinionated. And the thing about Morgan is. She likes offer opinion in her advice. And she's not doing it to be mean but she's just not wasting any energy on being Mace Ace. So it's sometimes it's the harsh truth and people don't always enjoy enjoy the delivery the Russian producers of the show of decided that the residents. We're going to get more opportunity this season. So that's going to be great for your character. Yeah it's been amazing. Morgan is much bigger part of this season. And it's really cool like there's so many different sides Morgan. That people are going to get to see She's very competitive stuff. That happens and and you see more for vulnerability more of the things and she's going through in her own life and then also the different ways in which she helps other people patients and her co workers. It's a really cool journey to be on and I'm loving it win we've seen have Morgan can be when it's all stripped down. And when she needs someone in her life is they're going to be someone this season that you think Morgan will be spending more time with or being more open up with. You definitely see some of that. I would say a lot of Morgan's organs journey. This season is how she grows through helping other people and how how she gets affected by Being there for her co workers in her patients and during times. It's it's really cool. The thing about the good doctor is that it's always asking questions. It's always bringing gop controversial or as you know issues or things that people are GonNa talk about and they really try hard to present both sides fairly and and equally on the show and not necessarily tell you which is right or wrong but just to really start a discussion about topics and it school to the apart about and sometimes you agree with your character stance and sometimes you definitely do not but you know that's the beauty of the show and its storytelling is it gets people thinking and talking talking and one last. TV Doctor. I spoke with in Vancouver Hill Harper. WHOSE ALTER EGO DR Marcus Andrews? I think when we see the first episode of the new season what we see is a man who is listening. And I think that's really important because your character's been so used to doling thing it out taking it in is pretty powerful stuff. Yeah it is and woods. And that's what's exciting about playing the character because getting into a rhythm of of playing a character where everything is is him telling people what they're doing wrong and trying to put up walls and barriers to be kind of impenetrable. But you know someone who's in a leadership role that's able to maybe take some self analysis. Wouldn't that be great in this world. We live in today that our leaders would be able to look in the mirror and actually do some salve analyzing. That's what happens with this character and I think that's an interesting thing to play. I've I've asked people you get a sense. It's of what the new season will be for us because I watched one episode and I'm laughing. I'm intrigued and I think three times. I'm trying not to have tears tears in my eyes in a room full of women. Well he to me. What makes the show brilliant? And what makes the writing. The best on television is the fact act that it can simultaneously be touching be funny but also be really smart and it. It's really interesting because usually folks folks default into one category. Oh it's very just melodrama or we're just going to be funny or we're just going to try to hammer you over the head with with message. Our show is able to ride a beautiful wave. And that's all due to to David shore and the writing staff and and that's why it's wonderful to be able to play it because because every time you pick up an episode and every time you you don't know exactly what you're going to do not just one-dimensional we're GONNA see. More of the personal life of Dr Melendez does and and Christina Chang. We're going to see more of the personal life of the good doctor. Are we going to see more of your personal life. If you know what I I always wonder how come last season. My wife never walked down the stairs of our big beautiful house. We saw we did so. Hopefully we'll see more this season email. I am the character on the show. That is happily married. I wear I don't have on right now because I just came out of surgery so I don't wear my wedding ring in surgery patient. Lose the patient lift. Things are going well so But usually I have a wedding ring on and and hopefully we'll see The other half of this ring a lot to see them. I really enjoyed my time with the cast. Cast the good doctor. I always do and it was great to be in Vancouver on the set seeing what it really looks like behind the scenes. And I'll tell you it's very impressive off and you can keep up with all that's happening on the good doctor. Monday nights on A._B._C.. For off the Red Carpet George Pinocchio. Thanks for being here by..

"This is off the Red Carpet with George Pinocchio sponsored by Mercedes Benz Harvey One and welcome to another edition of off the red carpet carpet. I'm George Pinocchio and today it's all about the good doctor Freddie highmore and his cast mates from the show checked in for a third season on. ABC Freddie's Freddie's character. Dr Sean Murphy has grown quite a bit during the dramas I two seasons both professionally. And personally. Recently I went to Vancouver the visit Freddie and several other cast members and we talked about. What's ahead this season on the good doctor? Let's begin with Freddie I feel like he is is once again a step ahead of where he was last season. So and watching the first episode I liked that. He's unto New Adventures. And I feel like Antonia is kind of your counselor. Yeah although it's interesting. I feel like their relationship between Sean and Claire will turn turn to a new direction at some point this year which is exciting. But obviously the other thing that you're referring to sean dating for the first time in his relationship with carly and taking that step by step and seeing how it goes. There's something about carly's face and her smile. That seems to tell me things when she doesn't speak when when she's reacting to you I feel like I mean obviously just a wonderful activity get to work with and I feel like she does wonderful. Actors do finding those moments that are silent that are about the nuances or the pauses. Instead of just the the lines. Are we going to get to see. See more of your characters personal life the season. Yes yeah I think so. It depends what you mean in terms of how much we're on Moss King Sean. I I mean I don't think he suddenly you yes. Yes in that regard. Yes it has to be exciting. Who because it's another area of this character you get to play more? Yeah and obviously. We've teased out from the very beginning with Sean Lee relationship van getting to see him. Interact with others outside the hospital but But Yeah it's it's certainly an exciting season ahead in terms of Sean in his his romantic love life and you say things to Dr Melendez and then he just Kinda has a look because what you've said make sense he's mastered the look of. I need to listen handed him. Yes Yeah it's always fun to get to do scenes with neck. I feel like in general. That's what's that's what's exciting. I've noticed more during season three. Is that you know all of the actors that you're working with so while at this point and everyone knows those characters and so it's always looking being for of course the movements that you were that you were talking about that. Everyone knows and loves it at the same time challenging ourselves to find new versions of that so it doesn't just become repetitive. In any way I noticed one of the donors at the hospital happens to be the bates. Family yes I feel like. That's something that no one else has noticed. So you've clearly been standing the phoned donuts for now. The personal lives of two other doctors who practice as with Dr Murphy. At Saint Bonaventure Hospital will be a big part of season. Three Christina Chang who plays Dr Audrey Lim and has now been promoted to chief of surgery is in a not so secret relationship with Dr Neal Melendez played by Nicholas Gonzalez. Seeing the first episode. I know Oh that this coupling works and I wanted to stay together but I fear that it won't because it's the good doctor and that's what we're allowed tough trying times ahead there are. There's a little tension little tension that's all we can say really. Isn't that terrible terrible that we can't give you anything Laurie or that. You've been doing this for so long George and you still haven't learned. We still try it faster so let me just say this though. I'm rooting for you. And I think that's a sign that I like both of these characters. Now now I really like I really like this character. Jinx there are moments here in this as we see the progression of your relationship. Where like like you? Just get a little snippet kisses I call them and so all seems very very real. Why do you think why do you think these two at least are working for now? There's so much respect. There's so much history and I feel like it's it's built on this mutual respect that really gets tested which were in the middle of right now. You know what what. We're shooting in a big way but if it comes from this this this history respect I think it starts there and Once once you're there I think that's a really great You know baseline for a relationship you know coming from that. Yeah they were also wanting to explore. I'm first of all they've known each other for such a long time. That's where that mutual respect comes from and then exploring sort sort of a more mature relationship versus. I guess what Murphy's going through but that's fun that's fun the Murphy stuff because you've all all invested in him and you want to know the end of a store you want to know what's happening in his life. I liked that a lot too. That's great it's great to see and I think especially in that first episode comes along you know we're all even our characters or so interested in seeing how this is going to look like because I think we all have a very sincere affection in for Sean Murphy. Some actors like a love scene some actor tate love scene for some. It's like any other seen. What about for you? Oh well uh I love seeing meaning just romantic. Things started stuttering Those kinds of scenes. I'm never comfortable with. It's uncomfortable for me. I get like sweaty betty. And he's better at it than I think. We're you know you're more concerned about camera. Everything else are they. Are they taking care of you. You know we're both like against your nose rose and that that's on our minds other than but I think when we're still around each other it's it's fun and it's so relaxed but much rather it be with her than which by the way in real life we've known each other for a long time too so I don't know that I knew that for about eighteen years. Yeah Yeah Nice all right. Is it my imagination. Or as the seasons pass the writers just love giving you difficult words medically to say in his character has them the most. If you like. It's between you and Freddie I mean I'm just I'm admin now I don't know say one linear him cells note langer him sell his doses. That say lamb lamb your cells. CBC ABC CBC. Atalay pays emily's driver. That's I was watching an you're in a surgery in pursuit of the season. And you have more of that Medical Lincoln so I just always amazed. I know that can be easy. Also being a boss is not easy and I think we're going to see I think every boss who well makes me worry makes me wonder I mean I think every boss at home that understands the things the boss has to do will will sympathize with what you have to do here thank you. There's never enough money you ever. You couldn't pay her enough. No I love it. I love this new position for the staff. There's never been for me. Yeah chief limbs fine. Yeah I love it. I love being boss. Give me something that I can tell viewers that they definitely can look forward to the season and you can be as mysterious and mystical as you like You'RE GONNA say motorcycle you're GONNA see Kith are we going to cry more or laugh more. I think there's a lot of bore of about. There's there's more there's more you're going to see. I think a very mature relationship and they're very realistic circumstances. You know as you know from watching this show we're not we don't lean into the relationship angle normally of soap opera type show but there's more there's line more this time. The relationships are in there but a very like a set of very grounded real mature dealing with problems that are so much bigger than themselves and trying to desperately hold on while all this is going on around you will also be seeing more of Dr. Alex Park played by Willian Lee. The character there's an ex cop WHO's turned to the medical profession for his second career. I WANNA be serious and I hope you'll go along with being for this and you don't have to but since I follow you on social media and I'm really interested in your stories. I am really connecting to your son. I think that you are trying to to let people know about what's going on. And I'm guessing to help raise money and I would like to be able to shine a light on on this illness. well No no I you know. It's it's it's so my son about three years ago was diagnosed with the disease called Moya. Am Moya and essentially. It's where in the simplest of terms. We're all the blood vessels in your brain to start collapsing. One by one and Three years ago yes I wrote. He was three years old. And it's been a it's been a long journey Long Journey of Treating something that was misdiagnosed for awhile and and we're starting to see some light with with the magic and the the help of of some amazing doctors And so I remember coming to this show the first time I stepped onto the set I just started. I just broke down because it was exactly the hospital. They the first season hospital they recreated was exactly what we lived in for like two years and so it was. It was really hard for me to to come onto sat for the first couple of weeks and and as time progressed things got better but part of part of doing this show Because it was just kind of the way the stars lined up Daniel Day came called me and my son was going through these things and I remember my son was having having brain surgery and an episode of the good doctor came on. And my we were at this AIRBNB and we're watching this episode and it was just a scene between Freddie and this young kid and we both just started crying and we sit Schwantz like turn it off. Turn it off and cut to about six months later I was here on the set and so I started watching the shows after not being able to watch any anything past that one scene and I realize is that the show became full circle with with our lives because my son was misdiagnosed and he was treated for Chemo with chemotherapy for a year which he shouldn't have been Dan and this show reflected my wife's spirit and eventually I got on this bullet train with her of trying to find. Think outside the box and find what was wrong with him and when I actually started watching episodes of the show after I'd been cast I realized like that's what I wanted in doctor and that's what I love about. This show is that it's a show. It's one of the few shows on television. That's a show of hope because that's as a parent of a patient of a young child like that's the only thing you have to hold onto and true that kids grow out of this was that It's not that they grow out of it. But there's like one of my heroes who who who who who took care of my son He was A. He's a famous surgeon and he basically reconstructed the blood vessel system in his head with a double bypass brain surgery. And you know it's just that's what this show so is in and it's I am reminded of it weekly when I drive on a lot that there's magic here the word miracle comes to minded like it. I think that's great. I'm glad you talked about this. I I want people to know and it's just as a whole it's a disease that gets mistaken for a lot of things and so it's it's called Moya Moya and all right. Let's get to the show before I rented all right. What am I in for this season with your character because I really like Dr Park? You know Dr Park. He's you know we left last season. He's having you know finding that path half of balancing life and work which which a lot of us do as parents and I think this season you know we could possibly as we continue that in terms of like how does he deal with it. And how does he balance a professional life with his family life but the but the fund Things that we've been kind of exploring..

"Adventures movies after Iron Man. Would you have wanted your first experience to be on streaming no absolutely not and the grandeur and and scope of the production design costume design is such an even when we get into the sound design. The sound design is so intricately. Jerkily done on so many of these big films. Now that you can hear the flutter like with Malefic and I'm sure the same thing is going to happen with Mr Seveval evil you can hear the flutter of the fairy wings and that attention to detail a lot of people may not notice it but it feels your senses senses so it enhances the experience and you're not GonNa hear it on your TV Saturday. Okay Miss W October twenty fifth black and Blue Star. Therese Reese Gibson I go back a long way with therese. I root for him all the time. He's a big supporter of a lot of other people in the business. Frank Grillo is in this Naomie Harris's in this. What do I need to know about this movie? What's well number one? The big thing to know is dion. Taylor is directing it dion and I go way back and dion is a dear. The dear friend however thriller it's an action thriller. Dion also knows that if it if it's crap I will say it is crap to his face as well L.. We should tell people it's this action thriller about a rookie cop and that's Naomi Yup and she captures of murder of a drug dealer on her. We have corrupt cops and and I think one of the big reasons to see black and Blue Dante Spin ody's cinematography cinematography spin spin spin. Not is one of the best cinematographers out there. He didn't manage to show his range. The last Mohicans ant man and the wasp beaches. He's okay. So that is a definite must see film for October twenty fifth blackened blow before we wrap it up. Let's get into November briefly because because we can't stop without talking about Terminator Dr Arnold's back Sarah Connor's bag the Hamilton Hamilton. Hamilton is back reprising her role. And this is the sixth and Stolman in this series. And there's a new terminator Gabriel Luna Right uh-huh and it looks like it will have all the action that we remembered all that kind of and given chemistry and hey this this is the sixth installment since the last terminator installment stunts technology. CGI It's all advanced even more. So so I'm chomping at the bit for that one and we should talk about motherless Brooklyn because this is Edward Norton like what his his prize is. He's Yes for a long time if he's Dr. Yup It's New York City crime drama and it's based on a novel from Nineteen ninety-one. Yes it is so you know. And I'm typically always hesitant with adaptations from novels. But when you get somebody like Edward Norton or you get a James Franco somebody that is doing adaptation nation. They know literary construct they know how to bring character from the page to the screen. So I think my motherless Brooklyn Alan is wanted definitely have on your radar. Plus Bruce Willis is in it. And not only Bruce Willis but Willem defoe who I think is Baldwin Google bothell raw amp Jerry Jones. Bobby Kinda Avala. There is a nice cast here and I feel like they had to look at the script when they were offered the part. Read for the part and thought. I WANNA be a part of this absolutely going to let you tease people with one more Phil God. 'cause thanksgiving we'll have you back and get into that whole holiday meal of movies but Friday November number eight was a movie that you WanNa see. Well actually there's three I wanna see I got I got to talk about one. Well the titles of the other two okay well number. We've got to be on the lookout for mid way. It's a remake of one thousand nine hundred seventy six jacks might. We're GONNA talk about that next time last Christmas the trailer. Just just drop this week written by Thompson starring Emma Thompson that went and it's George Michael's music and of course it features the Song of the same name name last Christmas but the one that I'm really that I really am looking looking forward to it. has you in stars. Ewan McGregor doc yes. UN UN is my question you and my downfall doctor sleep. This is the sequel to the shining. And you and plays Danny Torrance all grown up but the big mystery surrounding this film is who's going. Will there be flashbacks. Will there be an appearance by Danny Torrance's father I mean Jack. Nicholson you said it not me. This is the big mystery surrounding this film. Will there be Jack. Nicholson appearance but I think in and of itself off the fact that we're revisiting Everything that we know and remember Red Rum Red Rum. It's it's this. This is a big one. This is one. I'm really really looking forward to. We'll be able to talk next time about films. Including the Irishman knives out Jumanji the next level all caps is coming out star wars the rise of skywalker call of the wild little women and other adaptation of that spies in disguise. We've got some movies to talk about..

Edward Norton dion Bruce Willis Hamilton Hamilton Naomi Yup Therese Reese Gibson Brooklyn Iron Man Blue Star Nicholson Mr Seveval Danny Torrance UN UN Jerkily Frank Grillo Bobby Kinda Avala Ewan McGregor Naomie Harris Gabriel Luna

"I gotta see sly stallone in Rambo. I Rambo last blood ramp or decades after his first one right absolutely and yeah and call me jaded but the fact that I worked on several stallone on films he gets a little bit of an edge. They say this is the last chapter. Well we've heard that about a lot of things in now we may also be getting another Iraqi. Why not why not surprised at all of the films that are coming out? We're talking about God kids. There might be two or three and now there are some times ten movies in a week. Yeah well and do you remember when when we were growing. I've got a lot of years on you even But it was as you get a lot of foreign films as Matinees in the afternoon I saw some of the greatest French fantasy films Re doing all would grimm's fairy tales and that would be a Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the local General Settlements Theaters Plymouth meeting Pennsylvania and I would just sit sit there mesmerized and a you got to see all that now all of those films that we had the chance to see. We're running out of places places for them to be shown everything is going for. We've got a multiplex theater was sixteen theaters. But we've got the same movie on twelve of those theaters if not more. Yeah and it's sad so that when we do get a ton of these films another big one on the twentieth coming out a Brad Pitt Film. Tom Ad Astra from James Gray. Me More of the same weekend I corporate corporate. Es Corporate Animals is is that weekend also these are big and then the following week. This is the one that I think we've enjoyed the trailers for and they've been eking out. Oh Renee Zellweger Zellwegger as Judy Garland in Judy. And this one this is. This is a tough one. George this is a real tough one. I'm not sure hi feel about it a lot of the classic film fans the TCI groups everybody's kind of on the fence. We have to see it before. I think I really do. The trailer is Great. The costuming is phenomenal. You know the music we all all know that Renee Zellweger can sing. We all know that Judy Garland had issues. That's true so if you get to see her sing and get to see some of the struggle maybe maybe some people will understand. Judy Garland a little bit more. That didn't know a lot about her. And I think that if the film can can achieve that and get people out to see it so they can learn more are about her. I think that's a great thing. All see it because I want to see how they tell the story how they do this adaptation because it's based on the stage play into the rainbow looking at the trailer thinking. How does she not get an Oscar nomination from the trailer? That's I agree now on there's also so on September twenty seven a very special documentary that I have to make mention of one of my favorite publicists. This is it's it's very dear to Sylvia's heart you know Sylvia It is a documentary. Jim Allison breakthrough. Jim Allison was the two thousand. Eighteen Nobel prize is winner for discovering the immune system's role in defeating cancer. Heavy stuff. This is. It's heavy stuff kind of goes hand in hand with a Judy garland bio pick to With heavy stuff. But it's supposed to be inspiring very inspiring. Woody Harrelson narrates it. And I'm actually going to see it very shortly but the pieces I have seen of it. It's amazing and it is. It's not often we get to talk. Talk about documentaries but this is one that I hope everybody puts on their radar. Having you think people are going to be talking about this I do I really do. Because AH cancer is such at the forefront. I think almost every single one of us has had their lives touched by it in in one form or another so here here is somebody who's being celebrated for his work and how many people pay attention to Nobel Prize winners. They don't but they'll pay attention to the movies interesting. The power of the cinema right. Yeah absolutely on October. Fourth were in for an interesting movie that people have been waiting for. Just by using stills released of Jared Leto as the joke show jokers coming out. We haven't seen This character in a long time What are you hearing about this well? I'm hearing that Deniro is the must see the film. And he plays a talk show. He plays a talk show host which which is it is very fitting all the PR materials for their playing up the fact that he was in one thousand nine hundred ninety s king of Comedy Scorsese Film? Jerry Lewis I would have done it So I'm really curious to see how how this plays out We'll see but I think that there are some other stuff that weekend. How it's going to be received? I don't know we it's going to be received jokers GonNa win the week. Joker could win the weekend but then of course we've got the current warriors coming out but then it's it's been sitting around for a while. And that's that's the story of Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse. That doesn't have the sex appeal of J doesn't but you've got Tom how Holland Benedict cumberbatch Nicholas. Out and Michael Shannon good cass good cast and. Then we've got lucy in the sky that starting to get a lot of push right now with Natalie Portman playing an astronaut Um and that could be a counter for the female audience out there in terms of programming that we in in terms of of releasing that weekend. And we're talking with Debbie Lynn Elias. She's on twitter at movie. Sharp d you can also find twitter with bt L. Radio show that is transmitted all around the world people all around the world know this woman's name she's also one of the people who Ranks your movies on rotten tomatoes and to do that you have. I just see a lot of movies. You have to have a lot of experience. You have to prove yourself to be a worthy critic. Debbie little lies. Our guest is just that as we move into the the week of October eleventh. That's a Friday Gemini Man is coming out and that's will Smith and he's playing a dual role and people seem to love. Will Smith we so what happened with Aladdin recently and we just heard the announcement about Aladdin. And it's because of will Smith as Jeannie make so much money and there's going to be another one but now we're going to see a young will Smith and an older present day will smith so this is going to be interesting will Smith cloned Ingley is directing and pretty much. Do any angrily can do almost anything known to mankind. But the movie that I wasn't interested interested in seeing until I checked out the voice cast is the animated the addams family and that and now I'm curious to see it with the voicing surly there and tissue Yup Marissa's play again Finn Wolf Heart Heart as Huxley. This is his third film it. It'll be his third film in five. WEEKS SNOOP DOGG is playing cousin. Well the the big reason I wanna I wanna see it. Bette Midler as grandma you know. I was interesting because uncle fester is Nick Kroll but I wonder if the filmmakers thought about the key Coogan who was an actor and his grandfather aid now see that that would have been nice cast. A vote have been kind of cool just to see just to see that. And of course we've also got parasite opening that week. Let's just sounds scary. But it's Bong Jun Ho and that guy he is he is brilliant And it's it's a dark comedy horror So I think that one. It's further down down on the list. But I think it's worth seeing ends a Korean film and we've got You know there was just Kay Khan and his big thing of all things Korean and it seems like right now. In America there is a fascination truly is and of course you the go-to person for because I'm a fan of the BT 's fans. Because I told them a long time ago that if the Beatles were around today and they had that social media it would be bt US Army any oh the organization absolutely impressive. But there's no little film coming out on the eleventh that I wanNA make AAC mention of high strung free dance soap opera legend Michael Damian from the young and the restless. Yes my a lot of people. Don't realize that once Michael Left soaps. Michael Michael is a very very well known director. And he's saying but Michael Writer. Director Co writer is his wife. Janine Janine father all you trivia buffs was James Best on Dukes of Hazzard but he did a film a couple years ago. High Strung starring Jane Seymour. This is now a sequel. It is a dance delight. We've told me my Jane Seymour's back Jane Seymour is back This is where I am. Jane Seem I love Jane Seymour. Naughty and she can be sweet and I think that when Hollywood started giving here those opportunities we got to see a different side of. Yeah and we're we're going beyond You know the winds of war kind of mini series of the seventies now. Now we've got 'em beyond Dr Quinn. Were even though she and Joe. Lando still tease the fans. All the time. But there's so much legal wrangling with CBS. That they can't do reboot reboot of the show but they do cruises together for the doctor wind fans but you look at something with Jane Austen land which she is delicious delicious in and it is so what. You're not used to same with her character. In High Strung and now in the sequel high strung free dance or Tober Fifteenth Fifteenth. Jay and silent Bob Reboot. Hey Kevin Smith is bringing this back just hit God only knows I hear. It's good well while for the cat. You've got Chris Hemsworth their Damon. Joe Joe Manganiello Val kilmer and Val kilmer. This this I think will be a nice lead up to seeing val again next year in top gun maverick. So it's getting him back in front of the camera again. That's good so I think that for me. He is a reason to possibly see that film. It became kind of a cult. Hit after really dead. People I think new generations might WANNA see the the reboot too. So that's good and I think Kevin Smith has become kind of a hero of the comic world twos serving. He's got new fans over the years. So I kinda liked that as we move to the next week in eighteen we have a lot of films and to double tap. Well come on. What's not to love about Zombie land? corozzo Dawson isn't that one too. And she's another one. We're seeing quite a bit of this fall. But we've got woody Harrelson again. And of course you know what he the as we just mentioned the documentary breakthrough. Would he narrates that. Now we get to see woody as we love him. which is killing? ZOMBIES is in Zombie land to Abigail. Breslin is back and I always love seeing abby but we have another film on the opening that did well. The first time it's Malefic malefic mistress of evil so that has Angelina Jolie back in that world malefic again L. fannings back as Queen Aurora and now from Shell pfeiffer joins the fray this time these movies seemingly always do well. He knows how to do it right. They really do and people were reluctant. They they weren't sure how malefic was going to be received because we all knew the story of Aurora Asleep beauty but to turn it on its head head Intel malefic story and now we thought we saw everything with Melson and Aurora and everything was lovely and happy at the end of the movie a now now what happens what I like is that once upon a time Disney would take a movie like malefic sent and Malefic two would be released direct to video. Now now I think there. Maybe I don't know if it's the effort the time. The talent the scripts are. They're saying these are big screen film. I think I think that's a big part of it. Plus I think there's also people are craving it. This is not the kind of movie that you want to experience on a streaming platform which is where things that's the alternative initiative now to a DVD or BLU ray or VHS from back in the day Of course look in my house. It's still the day in my house but this is not the kind of film you WanNa see on a streaming platform for your first experience. Would you have wanted to see each of the avengers. Engineers move subsequent.
