"Hey there, this is Reagan. This is not how I had planned on closing out season three as I have been telling you over the last few episodes, which have also not been released on the schedule that I had intended went twenty twenty started. I have an additional episode for you. It's the migraine episode, and it is one that I had hoped to be able to package up for you and release one final episode for season three. But I'm going to be as transparent as possible with you, while also protecting some of my own privacy and say that, in addition to much of the chaos and turmoil that we all know that's happening on a global and national level. My own family has experienced multiple personal challenges struggles and losses over these last few weeks and months. And I find myself today in a position of knowing that I need to spend time with my family and worked through some things here rather than hastily, put together an episode for you and not dedicate the time to it. That I tried to dedicate for every episode so I'm going to save the migraine episode for what I hope will be. A very uneventful, but much-anticipated kickoff of season four in the fall. I WANNA. Thank you for being here for every episode of this Emily Alive and especially for being here in these last few weeks and months of season three, which as I have said have not turned out the way I had hoped. I would love to stay connected with you over the summer. I steal will be online on Instagram at Reagan Jones already in and of course in the facebook group facebook dot com slash groups slash this under lineal live. At some point in the future, I hope to be able to look back on what has happened here within my immediate family, and even my extended family, and be able to potentially share more, but for now. Thanks for giving me this space in time. I hope that you are doing well wherever you are. And I hope more than anything that you have a wonderful summer I'll talk to you soon..

"And leaving me a voicemail, but here's my theory. When I think about the age that I was when I was the age of the primary demographic of millennial women that companies are marketing to today, I can't help. But remember that I was that age when the economy was hitting the worst recession at it had seen. Seen in decades. So think about that almost ten years ago where you were in your life ten years ago that was when the recession hit, and I know for many companies that meant extensive layoffs. It meant slashed budgets, it meant simply not having the resources to do in marketing, then what they are doing today. I've never seen anyone give a theory about this or even acknowledge that that's the case. But if I think about where we were as women to be marketed to as a generation as a demographic when we were the same age that millennials are now won the world looked completely different. We didn't have social media the way that we have today we didn't have that type of connectedness. But if you get to the basics of marketing one of the things that required. I is that companies have the money to do that. And I've often one. Wondered in recent years, if that is one of the reasons that we were overlooked so much, then we never really were spoken to as young genetics. Moms for instance, like brands talk about young millennial moms now, we weren't classified as a priority. Then and subsequently I feel like we've been left behind in that regard. I'm okay with that fact, as you guys know, I'm a savvy woman who can research things and make my own decisions about the brands that want to buy and where I want to spend my money, one of the reasons that I talk about things so openly on this podcast is because I feel like that's one of the ways I like to get information is from hearing from other women what has worked for them. So I don't lose sleep about the fact that we are not marketed to the way millennial moms or millennial women are marketed to today. But I do think it's really interesting. If you start thinking about perhaps reasons why. So that's my theory as with so many theories and comments that I come up with. With on the show, maybe helpful maybe not. But something for you to think about and like, I said I'd love to hear from you. You can always let me know what you think about this, and every topic here on the show, I can be reached on social media at Reagan Jones are on Instagram Twitter and Facebook and now moving onto the next odds and ends section of today's episode. I'm gonna do a little quick follow up about what's happening here in my home, not with screen time limits, and you guys have probably determined that. That's one of the only topics that I talk about on a regular basis than it is because it's so much of what is going on in our life. But what I wanted to do was to let you know about a recent development where frankly have gotten out of my comfort zone and allowed my kids to do something with screen time that I'm a little uncomfortable with. But I wanted to tell you guys about it, especially if any of you all who have children who have gone this route or are looking to do. This. So we can open up the discussion as a two way between me, and you and that is that my kids have both recently launched their own YouTube channels, you guys have heard me talk about my discomfort with too much screen time. You can go back and listen to the screen time behaviors and addiction.

"If your skin doesn't know whether to break out a wrinkle, if you're caught between planning the third grade class party and researching retirement plans, or if you want to work out at the idea of cross bit makes your forty something knees you've come to the right place. Welcome to this unrelenting alive. I'm your host Reagan Jones and welcome today show years ago, when I was pregnant with my first son, I can remember needing new maternity clothes and feeling like I really wished. There was a way could just rent clothes for this whole life experience. I thought it was a great idea back, then I have no idea if some entrepreneur has taken on that task these days, I am well beyond those years of needing maternity clothes, but I do know that for the life stage that I'm in right now there is an option specifically to be able to rent clothes for special occasions. It's called rent the runway and it along with a handful of other online, clothing and clothing consignment options. Are what we're going to talk about in this episode today. My guest for today's episode is definitely not a fashion blogger or even a fashion expert. She's a woman just like you. And I who is looking to buy good-looking close. At a fair price or in the case of rent the runway rent good-looking dresses at a very fair price. My guest you have heard her before she Deanna, Seagraves Daley. She's a business partner of mine a good friend and has been featured here on both the Airbnb episode and the autism episode. We are gonna talk through some of the online clothing and online clothing consignment options that Deanna has stumbled into and fallen in love with and she'll give you her honest opinion on the good and the bad with all of them. So that at simply say Deanna, welcome to the show. It's great to be here. We'll have told everybody that you have been with us before. Of course, they remember you from the very thrilling on wcgo Airbnb episode. And then also when you shared with us in the autism episode. But today you're coming back for a topic. As I said to you when we were prepping for this one, I know nothing about which initiate and say, I don't know anything about. I don't know anything about the online clothing options that you and I are specifically about to talk about I'm going to at the end of the episode probably talk about trade see because that's one I have experience with. But you are going to talk through all the ones that you have used as a service that I don't know anything about starting with rent the runway. Yeah, I have to say the irony of knee being the quote unquote expert being interviewed for the the fashion..

"I'm your host Reagan Jones and welcome to the show. I I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has reached out to me after listening to last week's first episode for twenty nineteen the macro counting episode. I took a big chance letting that entire episode be me talking about a blog post, but you all seem to have responded with such positive feedback. And for that. I am forever. Truly grateful. There was a good bit of personal information shared in that post, and in that podcast as a result and to have your support. And kind words means a great deal to me. So I wanted to get that out of the way and say thank you next up. I want to jump right into today's interview. Because I know it is one that many of you all have expressed to me either in person or through communications online that you feel like is a topic that you are in need of. And that is the topic of career burn. Out. I originally had this topic scheduled for much later in the season as I've been telling you guys, I have a full treasure chest of interviews already done and already lined up for episodes here in the twenty nineteen section of season two. But my interview with Beth Kennedy was so dynamic and struck me as so beneficial. I just moved it right up to the front of the list and bringing it to you here today. There are a lot of take home nuggets from this interview, not only about things to do but apps that can support you and even towards the end of my interview with Beth a very unique approach towards finding your purpose and your personal branding that. I personally cannot wait to jump into and do for myself. So with that we're going to jump right into my interview with Beth Kennedy, Beth welcome to the show. Great. Thank you. It's excellent to be here today. So glad to have you here. This topic of career burn out. Very honestly was one that in the first season in the first few weeks of this podcast..

"Reagan Jones and welcome to today's episode. If you tuned into last week's episode of the podcast, you know, that I am not afraid to tackle topics that are seemingly taboo for conversation in the mainstream media. And while today's topic is probably not the one that you're going to bring up at your holiday Christmas party this year. I hope that you will find the information that we share in today's episode affectionately known as the poop episode something that actually will have a positive impact in your overall assessment of your own help. Now joked last week when I started promoting the menstrual cycle episode that probably most Molyneaux women had been having periods. As long as they could remember, and may have felt like there really wasn't much that we could tell you about your menstrual cycle that you didn't already know. But if you tuned into that episode, you know that Emily field shared a wealth of information about how your home. Own levels during your menstrual cycle. Fluctuate an impact things like your physical, fitness, and your moods, which you probably did know and your metabolism. So I hope in good faith, you'll go with me on this journey of the poop episode and realize that it's worth tuning in. We are actually going to share with you some information today that I'm guessing we'll be new information to you, even though you've been pooping your whole life. The guests that I'm going to have on today is one of my favorite registered dietitian colleagues. Her name is Kate Scarlata. She is a New York Times best selling author. She is an international speaker on.

"I'm your host Reagan Jones and welcome to today. Today's topic on cannabis is one that may catch you a little bit off guard. We're not going to be talking about the divisive. And in some ways controversial issue of the legalization of recreational marijuana. That topic can be covered by other podcasts. That's not something that I'm going to be diving into today my goal in. Having today's guests on the show is simply to enlighten. Those of you listening about the real benefits from a medical standpoint of the cannabis plant and products derived from cannabis and most importantly to help clarify the misconception that recreational and medical marijuana are one same my guest on today's show is Janice. Physics Janus is a dear friend, a longtime registered dietitian that I've known for many years, and in mired her work for many years, and she's going to share with you what changed in her life that prompted her to go from solely. Being devoted to culinary nutrition. Podcasting and blogging to now incorporating in her practice her certification as a holistic cannabis practitioner before I share my interview with Janice though, I do want to make one. Disclaimer as Janice will reference in our interview medical marijuana laws differ throughout the United States and on the federal level. Marijuana is still considered illegal while I hope that the information that Janice shares today does impart a great deal of new information to your understanding about the medical uses of the cannabis plant. I hope that you will remember that before pursuing any of these treatments. You should always personally be aware of the laws that govern your state, and certainly the policies that apply to you with your employer and with that. Disclaimer out of the way, I am so excited to bring you this interview with Janice basics. It truly has been one of my favorite interviews to do one of the ones that I think that is. Packed with some of the most insightful in new information that I've learned in many years. I hope you enjoy it. Janice. Welcome to the show. Thanks somewhat. It's great to be with you. Reagan. Tell everybody a little bit about you. And how you how you transitioned from a traditional dietitian role, and I say traditional in the sense of dietician online cookbook author into the role that you're in now after more than a decade of teaching families. How to eat a helpful diet online at blog and a podcast, as you know, wrote five books in the fall of two thousand sixteen my dad was experiencing severe pain from some health issues that he was going through and his doctors as Dr stoop prescribed payments..

"I'm your host Reagan Jones and welcome to the show. I want to say a warm, welcome to all the new listeners that we have to this unbelievable live podcast this week. We reform it last week to be featured by tunes and the podcast app for new and noteworthy and picked up a lot of new listeners. And I am so glad that you're here. If you've had a chance to listen to the first episode on sleep and the second episode on eyelashes. You know that this Molyneaux live podcast is really intended to be a mixed type of life of a lot of different subjects. And if you listened to last week's episode on eyelashes, you may feel like when I tell you what today's episode is all about that I'm only going to talk about beauty topics and that is absolutely not the case. So while today's topic is all about Bo talks and beyond do want to let you know that in upcoming episodes, we're gonna cover topics ranging from how you stay fit when you're traveling and on the road and staying in hotel. Tells to how you lose weight after forty and keep that weight off. We're going to talk about fashion for women after forty so that you look on trend, but you don't look like you've rated your daughter's closet, and then we're going to talk to a pediatrician who's going to help us understand what are realistic screen time limits. How do you actually implement that in your own home and what are the recommendations? But today, as I mentioned, we're going to dive a little deeper into the topic of beauty and we're gonna talk about Bo talks and beyond options for ageing beautifully with a little bit of help from your doctor. Now before we get into the show, one thing that I want to acknowledge is that some of the things that we're talking about today, especially when we talk about these facial rejuvenation treatments, these are really luxury items, and I know that not everyone has that in their budget to consider nor do many of you want to consider this. And what I want for this podcast is not to ever tell you what you should do. But to just simply give you both sides of the story, give you the facts and let you make an educated decision about whether or not it's something you do or don't wanna pursue for your life. So when it comes to the topic of beauty, you know, that can really be a polarizing topic because I certainly understand that there is something of value in being accepting of the aging process and being accepting of the natural aging beauty that we have that comes through the lines and the wrinkles that we experience having been a mom having taken care of other people and just having enjoyed life. But the reality is is that for many of us every day we implement small cosmetic measures to make ourselves look and feel better. So whether that's ranging from using different mascara or magnetic eyelashes, or as we'll talk about today considering facial rejuvenation, treatments there of host of different options and reasons for people to consider slowing down the aging. Yes, that is an individual decision. I just want to share a little bit of conversation around why you may or may not want to consider it. And if you do want to consider it help you be educated in informed about the options that are available to you..

"On your Reagan Jones and welcome to the show. On today's episode, we're talking about something that truly, I believe started as Molyneaux phenomenon, and that is the concept of cutting the cord. And now it's certainly not something that that generation owns, but I do think that it's something that we can acknowledge that millennials got the ball rolling, but those of us in this unbelievable generation are absolutely willing to pick it up. If it benefits us on our bottom line on today's show, I'm hosting Luke bowel Ma who is with cord cutters news dot com. There arguably is not a nother source online. That's going to give you more comprehensive information about cutting the cord. And while if you're on the fence, I don't know if this episode is gonna make you determine one way or the other, whether you should or shouldn't it if you've been thinking about cutting the cord. This episode absolutely will give you the information that you need to know to start thinking about making that process happen. And hopefully enlighten you to some things that you should think about before you do decide to cut the cord. I hope you enjoy this episode and with that, I'll say, Luke welcome to the show. I thank you for having us. I'm so excited because this is a topic that I've had a discussion with many of my unbelievable friends who were literally raised on cable and we honestly are that group of people who I think have a hard time imagining how there is any other way to do it other than being married tar cable service provider. So this is a timely topic. I feel like millennials are way ahead of us. They already understand how to cut the cord, but I wanted to have you on to really kind of help us understand why would an unrelenting who's been raised on cable won't even consider cutting the cord. Well, there's really three reasons. I find people who are in the thirties, forties, fifties, sixties really cut the cord for I is money. I mean, the Wall.

"I'm your host reagan jones and welcome to today's show when i started planning for today's episode i struggled a little bit on what to call this episode was this going to be the grocery shopping app episode maybe this was the online grocery app and ordering episode ultimately what i realized is that the way technology is changing and shaping the way we shop for groceries is too much to cover simply in one podcast so instead of covering all those different aspects what we're covering today is specifically the idea of being able to order groceries and have them delivered to your home you will hear my interview with sherry stunned by my guess for today that this is an industry that is booming and is intimidated to grow even larger over the coming years if you haven't looked to see if you have gr grocery delivery in your area you're gonna want to check out some of the services that sheree mentioned today you may be surprised to find that you have grocery delivery available in your area i know that some of the criticisms i've heard at least in this molyneaux life podcast facebook group about grocery delivery are that in the past some people feel that maybe the quality of the products especially fresh produce that the individual who shopped for them and did the grocery delivery the quality might not have been the same as their own so that is something to think about that maybe there are aspects of grocery shopping that you're going to want to retain for yourself but as you will hear when i talk with sherry and i know from my own experience there are certainly certain things that we're all buying on a regular routine basis that don't really vary that much in terms of quality that you may find grocery delivery fits.

"reagan jones" Discussed on This Unmillennial Life

"I'm your host reagan jones and welcome to today's episode if you tuned into last week's episode of the podcast you know that i am not afraid to tackle topics that are seemingly taboo for conversation in the mainstream media and while today's topic is probably not the one that you're going to bring up at your holiday christmas party this year i hope that you will find the information that we share in today's episode affectionately known as the poop episode something that actually will have a positive impact in your overall assessment of your own helped now i joked last week when i started promoting the menstrual cycle episode that probably most unmih lineal women had been having periods as long as they could remember and may have felt like they're really wasn't much that we could tell you about your menstrual cycle that you didn't already know but if you tuned into that episode you know that emily field shared a wealth of information about how your home on levels during your menstrual cycle fluctuate an impact things like your physical fitness and your moods which you probably did now and you're metabolism so i hope in good faith you'll go with me on this journey of the pooped episode and realize that it's worth tuning in we are actually going to share with you some information today that i'm guessing we'll be new information to you even though you been pooping your whole life the guess that i'm going to have on today is one of my favorite registered dietician colleagues her name is kate scarlata she is a new york times best selling author she is an international speaker on gut nutrition and she specializes in digestive health and as you will hear as i get into this episode she i share a mutual love of the discussion of poop so that eminent up right into my interview with kate scarlata welcome to the show glad to be here.
