'How to Erode the World's Greatest Military' With Victor Davis Hanson

"The articles you've written is how to erode the world's greatest military, the subtitle is alienating half the country is not a wise strategy of military recruitment. I'll say, so yeah, tell us what you've been seeing. And frankly, it is hard for me to process that the deep state, whatever we want to call it, that the nuts have over the course of decades taking such control that they're capable of this kind of madness at the capable of enacting it is what I mean. Because there have always been crazy people, but it didn't seem to me possible. It's kind of like abolishing the police. There are certain things that you just look around and you say, well, this is no one will take this seriously. And yet we're living in a time when some are. I was trying to be empirical. So the Reagan foundation runs a poll on attitudes toward the military. And only 45% of the American public has confidence, great confidence in the U.S. Military. That's a radical drop from the last time they did it in 2000 18. And then this year, Eric only 40%, 40% of the recruitment targets have been met. So they're down 60%. And most importantly, somewhere between 40 to 50% of all recruits have parents and grandparents that were in the Vietnam War or the gulf wars or military service in general. But now that figure is his crash down to about 12%. So what I'm trying to get at is we have had a massive reluctance of the traditional families to go into the military and who are those people. Well, we don't like to talk about it, but since the left started talking about proportional representation at all areas of military service, white males have died between 74 and 77%. Of all combat deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq. And

"To the tail, turn into basically a first class aircraft seats from their back. And there are four cabins, each cabin, as you are closer to the president, the more important you were, basically. So the first cabin would have White House staff, VIP guests, the second cabin would have additional guests, the third cabin typically had Secret Service in it in any military that would be flying, and then the back cabin would be the press pool. And then there's a large galley in the back, just as you exit the tail just before the tail, there's an exit to the aircraft, and that would be the large galley, and they would supply the food for the rest of the aircraft. One of the things that I was surprised at when I did the walkthrough of the plane, the press area was really just how small it was. In that they didn't travel with this huge press entourage that they seemed to travel with now on the 7 47. So I think it was really a premium spot to be a Washington press correspondent be invited to fly on the aircraft when the president was fine. It was the press pool was chosen, depending on where, of course, the president was flying if he was flying home for vacation, there were very few press on board if there, if he was flying to a big international meeting or a trip. Yes, if it would be full, and they would basically draw straws as to who would get the flight. There was some sort of a pecking order, but I don't know what that was or lottery or however they worked it out. I do know that the press had to pay first class airfare plus $1. That was the going rate. No kidding. So why that was I don't know, but I was told that it technically was a military transport plane and to fly private citizens on a commercial basis. They had to offset the military, their costs for flight. Do you know something I was going to ask John? Who pays for the maintenance on the aircraft? Is it the library itself? Or does the air force kick in somehow or how does that work? All expenses born for the aircraft from the day it was it arrived in San Bernardino to the to today. Every penny is paid for by the foundation, the military can not pay for anything on it because it's on loan to a private entity. And that's not just true for us that's true for any military item that's being loaned to a private museum or private entity, typically the military can not spend any money to support that private entity. So yes, we raised money and I should back up a little bit and explain to everybody listening that there are two entities up here at the Reagan library, even though we're one campus, we have the national archives and records administration who run the archives and the museum, and then we have the Reagan foundation, which is a private nonprofit organization which I work for. And we own and operate the Air Force One pavilion and some other areas around the library, but the main buildings with the archives and everything down in the basement. That's run by the government. And I think that's true for many museums. Anywhere phenomenally fortunate here in Southern California where, for example, we have the California science center and the space shuttle endeavor is there. And so the state owns the building, but yet the foundation is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the endeavor. So I think this is a normal museum procedure or policy when it comes to aircraft or spaceships on loan. Yes, yes. And we have a couple other aircraft here as well. And it's the same situation. Brian, did you make mention something about a football associated with this airplane? Yeah, I think John could probably describe that a little bit better, but the nuclear codes. In a device, that's commonly referred to as the football. And the football gets to ride along on the plane as well. That is true. The football is a code for a satchel that carries all the codes. And that is accompanying the president wherever he goes. And there's a military attache that is assigned to the president. And when the president is boarding the aircraft and the military attaches right behind him, they usually put what's called the football, which is this case right inside where the communications center is. And that is, again, one of the more secure places on the plane and that's where the military is staffed anyway, so they said it there. And then the military attaches is there to pick it up and take it with the president when they land. So did this plane come with a football? No. No. They didn't let us have that. Not even the satchel. Nope. Nope. They won't give us any of it. We went out and bought a satchel that looks similar to it. And so when people, when people walk through, they see it there and there's a little card to describe what it's there. I think that's appropriate. Yeah, there needs to be something like that, even if it's not the real real. So the satchel and the jelly beans were added, was there anything else that you had to acquire to make the aircraft appear as though it might have when the president was flying on it? There were some things that we literally went down to the thrift shop and picked up some jackets and sweaters and made it look like it was somebody was living in it. But there were other items that we did purchase vintage time magazines and other memorabilia from the 80s and we placed those in some of the areas so that the pockets in front of the seats had something in them that was a pertinent to that time period. Through the archives, we were able to bring up some binders from actual presidential trips. These are just empty three ring binders with photocopies of the trip itineraries in them. So you can see those sitting on one of the tables. Items like that. There are some interesting little tidbits if you look carefully and throughout the plane. You know, in terms of people living in it was the phrase that you used when you bought some of those clothes and things. One of the big deals that they made mention of when the VC 25 came online, I remember seeing a tour under Discovery Channel of the history channel or something, was that they had a big living suite with beds for both the president and the First Lady if she was traveling with him and it was a real comfort area so that the president could really relax on board and take some time to get the rest that he might need because sometimes the president does need the rest, obviously. What kind of living accommodations were there for the president on the older on 27,000? Very, very little. In the presidential suite, which is the president's and First Lady's cabin area, there were two couches, and they pull out about 6 inches. And if they wanted to sleep or lay down, that's what they got. So there are no beds on board the plane. And if you ever, if anybody ever goes up to Seattle and walks through 26,000, I'm sorry, not 26,000 970 or whichever one of the early 7 O 7s is up there. It's very different on the interior and there are fold out beds on that one. So each plane had a little different setup inside 26,000s a little different than 27,000. But no, on ours, we have no beds. I'm trying to remember was there a president of the 7 that you mentioned that had a dog? 'cause I'm just thinking, where would the dog sleep if there was no real bed? I mean, I don't know. That's a good question, and no one's ever asked me yet.

"Going to be at the reagan library. I believe that's when is it. August fourteenth mr. What date is that. Let me check so not confusing. Fourteenth of august or as we like to call august fourteenth. And it's all sold out except for a few availabilities for people who shop and they wanna say. Hello and have a book signed so the if you live in that area if you're from that area you can still do that. I don't remember the reagan library site link. But i think it's like reagan foundation dot com or something like that. It's easy enough to find out but you should go ahead and check it out and if you're around two wonderful saturday we have a wonderful time. Be very very pleased to meet you. And so i wanted to point that if i covered everything. I think i've covered everything. There's been a history of attacks on the us capitol that we've talked about including by the weather underground forty four years ago turns out. It's six fifty years ago. A bomb planted in the bathroom. And the senate side of the capitol building went off causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage but no casualties news reports from the scene. This is from our buddy. Philly bump show smashed windows broken doors debris on the floor of the senate barbershop was planted by members of the weather underground. An anti war group that claimed responsibility for a series of bomb attacks in the early seventies. These days the group's most famous members. Bill ayers a retired college professor. Who's tenuous connection to then candidate. Barack obama became an issue in two thousand eight presidential campaign. ayers was never charged in relation to any of the bombings. the nineteen seventy-one bombing was not the first or the last that politically motivated violence struck. The capital sounds to me like that was an insurrection. mr producer. No now airs obviously was associated with the weather underground organization and he got off on a technicality but he was associated with the organization. Why did the democrat party ever have a problem with ariza association with barack obama. Can anybody explain that to me there. A bomb actually went off. It was planned. It was a weapon a weapon. I'd say that's a pretty serious matter. Wouldn't you mr producer wouldn't americ- there are other people who who were very violent attack the capitol building and and they got pardons and we've been through that before no such thing happened to the capitol building. This time. there was no explosion. The only shooting was the killing of the protester. By capitol police officer people have not been charged with weapons violations in the building if a group in nineteen fifty four puerto rican separatist got into the house floor and opened fire with handguns. Five members of the house were wounded in the attack. Wow and so. I thought i'd probably all this at. Oh it must be a diversion. It's called history. It's called context. Nobody excuses people who broke into the capitol building. The problem we have is the lack of equal justice. May i call it equity the we actually have people who assaulted police officers burn. Buildings attacked federal law enforcement federal courthouse for three months in a row for which there were almost no consequences. That's the biggest problem. How many of them were put in solitary confinement for months the u. I don't know how many of them were charged with trespassing to you. We don't know their names. Last time i read something substantive about this the. Us attorney's office was dropping most of the charges. Never that rich. Not so here. I don't know how many people they went out and found the that cross the nation since swat teams to pick up the us marshals to bring in and we're thrown in jail in federal prison. I assume if there were a lot we would know all right folks. I'll see you on hannity and thirty minutes. Please jump in amazon dot com. Get your copies of american marxism. Let's keep rolling baby. We salute our armed forces. Police officers firefighters and emergency personnel and we shall overcome yes. We shall have a great evening. See on hannity and see you. Tomorrow he will..

And I very much appreciate everybody participating because this is what we have to do, really. I want to read something to you. Maybe I should whisper. Maybe I should whisper. I want to read something to you. You ready for this? Here It goes. Here is the headline from the Federalist. New evidence indicates enough illegal votes in Georgia. The tip 2020 results Hold on now yellow held on My band from saying that Mr Produce enough I were on Twitter or Facebook. They would ban me, wouldn't they? Maybe I'll get a memo. You never know. You know those memos? Go, Mr Producer into my shredder. And I'm like What's that idiot around? Emmanuel? I still have my fiddle middle finger because I know not to stick it in a shredder, you idiot. You know, I lost his middle finger. In one of those meat slicers like at a deli. Probably talking and talking to find a way to minute my fingers in here. All right, let me go on. Margaret Cleveland rights. In Georgia. There was both an audit and a statewide recount, confirming Biden's victory, but ignored in the process was evidence that nearly 35,000 Georgians had potentially voted illegally. And this, of course, is what Kamala Harris means. Wait a minute. Count every vote dead twice, like whatever whatever. They're out to get you there out to get so they want to stop you from voting. Let me go on. This is Margaret Cleveland. On a reputable site. New evidence indicates that more than 10,300 illegal votes were cast in Georgia in the November 2020 general election. What Margaret doesn't understand is this the first election American history where there was no fraud. Or no failures. She doesn't understand this. A number that will continue to rise over the next several months, potentially exceeding the 12,670 votes that separated Biden Trump. While this evidence does not change the fact that Biden is our president, she writes. All Americans who generally care about free and fair elections like Kamala, of course, and the disenfranchisement of voters should demand by transparency and solutions to prevent a repeat in future elections. This evidence also vindicates former President Trump and his legal team for the related public and private comments and legal arguments made in challenging the Georgia election results. Oh, the bar in Georgia might get very, very upset. Under the cover of Covid 19, Georgia, Like many other states flooded residents with absentee ballot applications. Also, like Sister states, Georgia ignored various legislative mandates. Designed to prevent fraud and to ensure the integrity of the vote. These facts covered with the closeness of the presidential contest in Georgia and other states led to a flurry of accusations litigation charging voter fraud. Illegal voting violation of the electors clause of the Constitution. That's where I hung my hat by the way. Still do. Still, the missus does, too. In Georgia. There was both an audit and a statewide recount confirming Biden's victory. But ignored in the process was evidence. Hello, evidence they nearly 35,000 Georgians had potentially voted illegally. Now this is remarkable to me. According to Kamala Harris. People are too stupid to get a voting ID card, right, Mr Produce or license and so forth. And yet every single person who voted did it properly. The Democrats are so full of us, it's not even funny. And by. Yes, of course I mean sausage. Under Georgia law, residents must vote in the county in which they reside unless they change their residence within 30 days of the election, as Jake Evans, a well known Atlanta election lawyer told me Outside of the 30 Day grace period. If people vote in a county in which they no longer reside, their vote in the county would be illegal. Clearly, that's racist. Wouldn't you say, mr Producer? That's clearly aimed at the African American community. Why I don't know. It just everything seems to be Soon after the November general election. Mark Davis, the president of Data Productions Inc. An expert and voter data and analytics and residency issues, obtained data from the National Change of Address and CEO a database. Unidentified Georgia residents who had confirmed moves with the U. S Postal Service. After excluding moves with effective dates within 30 days of the general election by using data available from the Georgia secretary of State's office. Davis identified nearly 35,000, Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another. But then voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved. Oh, and by the way, no wonder the Democrats want to do away with this. They are saying, Hey, look, if you vote in a precinct where you don't live, enjoy enjoy. Because they want to enshrine fraud because that hold them party is a fraud. Some of those moves could have been temporary involving students remembers of the military Davis stress, adding that under Georgia law, temporary relocations do not alter citizens residency status. Render their votes illegal. Given the margin separating the two presidential candidates. Approximately one third of the votes at issue could have altered the outcome of the election. Yet the media, the courts and the secretary of state's office ignored or downplayed the issue. I wonder why Was disconcerting to see the media in the courts, largely north. Serious issues like these, especially since the data ice was seeing showed very legitimate issues, Davis said. Now say this will be pushed off his fringe is violating this or that. The apparently the nationally imposed, um Uh, censorship rules. That do and don't exist. But in the past we were allowed to discuss stuff like this. The Democrats did it all the time. They even concocted stuff they made up lies. All the Russians who they love. They love the Russians. They love the comment, but in this case no, no, no, no. In fact, Iraq, he said. I heard members of the secretary of state's team admit some votes were cast with residency issues, but then claimed there weren't enough of them to cast the outcome of the election and doubt, Davis added. That was not at all what I was saying. As far as I am aware, the secretary of State's office has never put an actual number on the ones they did see. So while frustrated Davis, this data expert told me that he never stopped working on these issues, he said. In May, I received an update voter database from the secretary of state's office and I imported the dating compared voter addresses to the no koa information I processed in November. So when Davis ran the data, you know what he found. Approximately 35,000 Georgians who indicated they had moved from one county to another more than 30 days before the November general election, as of May more than 10,300 had updated their voter registration information. Providing the secretary of state the exact address they had previously provided to the Postal Service. And i have no idea if you wanna participate saturday august fourteen. It'll be my one live event. Because that's really the only place i'm allowed to have a live event. If they aren't sold out already you might want to jump in if they are. I apologize but that saturday. August fourteen one thirty pm reagan foundation dot org at the reagan library levin reagan foundation dot org slash levin a book signing also. We'll have a speech where i'll take questions and answers and then a wonderful dinner and You know i was in the reagan administration. I'm a huge fan of president reagan. I campaign for him. In seventy six and eighty so our attachment goes way way back to president reagan and the reagan administrations and so forth. It's also fantastic library. You're going to enjoy it. They've a fantastic staff. Hit by john highbush. Who's been a longtime friend of this program and of you and has done wonders at this library so there have sold out so if you want to jump in you gotta jump in now because the other half will sell out. Reagan foundation dot org slash levin now former governor wilder virginia. I've always liked this guy. Sort of center center left but very independent. I really a party guy. But he is the first african american governor. I think in the entire country and certainly in. Virginia i believe he was elected in nineteen ninety and he has a real problem with terry mcauliffe. Here's a real problem with the current governor virginia with as white hood and his black face the apologized for and then denied any posts on his site his social site. The people deserve answers. He says as i related to. W rv as jeff katz in a recent interview. I've been the beneficiary of much that has been done to eliminate the effects of racism in our state and nation sacrifices beyond comparing description were made by those mostly unnamed unknown regardless of race to remote equality of opportunity and enhance possibilities the statewide election this year in virginia presents questions which require answers from those seeking the lead two years ago terry mcauliffe member. He's the bag man for the clinton's term mcauliffe called for all three persons occupying the offices of governor lieutenant governor and attorney general to resign all three democrats governor north have been shown pictured in his school's yearbook in black face and subsequent revelations by ag. Mark herring acknowledged appearing in black face in nineteen eighty-five. What is it with this black face and liberals and democrats seriously. The media ran the story of two women accusing lieutenant governor fairfax of sexual assault. Actually rape denied by fairfax but former governor mcauliffe within minutes thereafter proclaim the accusations to be credible. I think incredible by the way today mcauliffe is asking people to vote for the attorney general. Who served as his attorney. General and seeks the continuing. His sport support of north. No reasons have been given to the voters as to terry's change of mind nor is any reason but made why mcculloch felt compelled to violate virginia's longstanding precedent by choosing to run again against persons. Who had far more experience. He means that the democrat primary. Then he as he had never held elective office of any kind when he ran all of the candidates he opposed except one were black including two women whom he felt not qualified to be given the chance that he'd been given at last report governor north or ms withdrawn. His apology for black face is what north inhering did alright by any standard is mccullough going to tell the voters of the credible evidence that he has relative to fairfax or does this suggest that. If you're a black person in virginia if you've got to think about who you're going to vote for it then you ain't black stay tuned. He is really pounding mccullough because he's an old time liberal who by today's standards are relatively moderate. It hasn't belied this critical race theory stuff. He doesn't jump into that. But he is very concerned about terry mcauliffe. He's right about one thing. We've a tradition in virginia. Don't run for two terms. Even skipping turns but mcauliffe decided he would do it and while these white wealthy liberals pretend to care about diversity in the promotion of people of color and so forth when it comes to their own power their own financial interests. They can be damned. So he sees mccullough as a hypocrite and an exploiter now mccullough who come out and attack the republican nominee yung-chen on some race basis. Because that's not what democrats are doing. And what former governor wilder saying. Wait a second. You had a chance to support a black person for the nomination of the democrat party for governor virginia and you did something extraordinary. You broke the tradition of virginia governor's and you ran against them in. You defeated them so you don't really believe in this stuff you're a liar. You're a hypocrite twenty saying so many words he saying what happened north and you told him to resign. There's that whole black face thing. Go away because north withdrew his apology while for the editorial pages of the washington post it actually has gone away. They like north. They like fairfax they like carrying. They like all the democrats doesn't matter it doesn't matter it's like biden with tara reid. Yeah we don't really wanna look into. You know jeremy bar that pit bull faced pervert looking guy. Although i don't think he's a pervert mr producer. There's no evidence of that none whatsoever that i'm aware of nonetheless. Jeremy bar doesn't write about stuff like that now so he's saying he's so now. You support all the candidates and you want their support who you insist. It should resign two for racial reasons and another one who was accused of rape by two women. Credibly the interesting to see what the washington compost does with that too. Won't it now. He's up there in age. I'm sure governor wilder and he's now he's he's no how should i put it. He's not a member of the choir is the way i should put it. It's not a loose cannon. But he's not a member of the choir. He's an independent thinker. And he sees this going on and he calls it out so they'll be attacking him soon. Enough though attack. Him as a throwback and all the rest of it but a lot of the democrats. Have this problem. what. I would've liked to see if this is governor. Walder's view is to have had him speak out against joe biden. That may be a bridge too far. Joe.

"They did this nonstop, so it's almost Orwellian. How this party who never accepted and really didn't ever except in some cases. The verdict of 2016 says that Donald Trump doesn't have a constitutional right to preserve legitimate questions about a very Range of set of events that happened around this election. Yes, and and they're still unfolding as we speak. The Trump legal team are making their case right now in the in a Pennsylvania court, that would be one of the pivotal states in this entire process, and we'll see how it plays out. But as that develops Victor Davis Hanson, the parlor game in Washington, really in in many media circles, as well as I suspect in living rooms around this country is to sort of speculate about what becomes Donald Trump, If, in fact he does not secure the victory for his second term, and you write a little bit about this, with allusions to antic Guinea and Ajax and great Hollywood westerns, you you sort of muse about what becomes of Donald Trump and whether he rides off into the sunset or I heard Rush Limbaugh earlier today, speculating about what kind of role he might have in the media and again. I don't want to get premature, but I think it is worth saying, whether whether this is the end of the Trump presidency or four years from now he has such A larger than life figure. What do you think happens with Donald Trump? Well, I think an immediate and he's going to be very much on the scene until at least January, 5th. Nobody in their right mind will turn on Trump. And then expect the base to turn out in Georgia. If they're you know, a member of the Republican Party. No Senator, no house representative. They need come to be solid with his, um His appeals to legitimate appeals to find out what happened. So he's going to be the dominant force All food, the special election in Georgia. That's positive for a moment there, because that's fascinating. Think about the logic and I don't disagree with you. Republicans need Trump to stay engaged through the runoff in Georgia, which is critically important. The Republican Party And yet, if we're to believe this count Trump didn't actually win. Georgia. I'm sorry Square that circle politically, for May. Well, we know that What's going to happen in George's What happened and Georgia during that there's going to be. I bet there's going to be at least a billion dollars spent. By Michael Bloomberg style IRS. Soros etcetera. There's going to be polls that show Um, that Purdue and loss of can't win and we're going. We know they're not gonna be right. We're gonna have even people, according to Tom Freeman or not so and we're gonna try to move down and register. There's gonna be a long We know what Big tech is gonna do that sensor Story and against that, the only chance that the Republicans have even is gonna get massive turnout. And the other six. The other half of the state. It's basically George has become two states, The Atlanta Greater Atlanta area. Six million that's pretty much blew and the rest of the state that's pretty much read and get that rest of that state out at a level. Counter act mailing body balloting, early voting and all these other levers and I listed, you're gonna have to have been enormous turnout, and they're not going to turn out because that's the heart of the Trump base. Unless they feel that trump himself. Fought for them in questioning, legitimately some irregularities in the election and unless people close ranks with Donald Trump And so that's just a reality after that. I think what you'll see very quickly is People will want to circumvent a company replay in four years. So you'll have Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley and government No. Um and a lot of other people come Cotton will want to go out there and say you know what I represent Trumpism. The Nationals, Populace reconfiguration, the Republican Party and so I think they'll want to run on Trump's agenda. But they want to get out there early, because if they don't Don't Trump will have it. We'll just simply, you know, within a few months, he's going to run again. That'll be it for them. And I think he probably easily get the nomination if he chooses to. And then finally, I don't think Does anybody in this party that believes they Jeb Bush type of Romney type of Republican light after what we've gone through, and the never Trumpers and all of those people Lincoln Project Any of those people would have any credibility or any ability to bring out the so called trump voter parole voter Blue Dog Democrat Tea Party type that really won them the 2016 election. Save them in the Senate and the House. I think they're done for politically and by the way, those of the voters that just gave Republicans it looks like 11 or 12 and still counting Republican seats added to their minority in the house, but something that no one thought was Possible and and I guess if I could pick it up there, you're sort of speculating about which figures emerge within the Republican Party to take the mantle of Trump. But then there are figures who suggest that they should cast aside this trump era. Larry Holden, governor of Maryland yesterday, speaking to a Reagan foundation convention. Ah said that you know, we need to move away from Trump's rhetoric and move closer to Ronald Reagan. You're the historian here. Didn't they call Reagan a Nazi? Didn't they call Reagan Racist. They called Reagan. Worse. They called him senile. They said he was befuddled. And, you know, I love wrong. Reagan. Everybody did. But Ronald Reagan they have created into this of ocular pacifist long regulars, that tough s O..

"Their young as a veto the Columbus renaming the Columbus obelisk so of lots lots of ground to cover here this morning, but In the U. S. A. Today Governor Hogan wrote an op ed the other day and and basically hey, is saying that it is time. Time for President Trump to concede because Joe Biden won an overwhelming victory. Over there. Hogan said that while he struck a chord was some disaffected voters. He was ineffective and spawn toxic politics that chased away suburban women and young voters and showed a loose affiliation with the truth. Well, let's deconstruct that, Bruce, shall we A 10 of million more voters for Donald Trump this time around than last time around Maura than any sitting president, incoming president in history. So disaffected people. Yeah, they were just a million on it. Look toxic politics was here long before Donald Trump was long before Remember Bush. Gore. That's when it all started. And of course, this look, this guy wants to be president so bad. He's now on launching already is his 2024 campaign on But the thing I think that bothers me most is that you know, he said he voted for Reagan. He was speaking to the Reagan Foundation yesterday. And when he says, we need to go back to the trump rhetoric is those what the GOP veer needs to veer away from back to the Reagan model to win back the White House. With all due respect, I don't think Governor Hogan has come anywhere close to governing as President Reagan did. In his two terms as president. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to looking at any really. I mean, what What can we say? We're you know significant victories for Governor Hogan here in the state of Maryland besides the end of the rain tax and maybe taking down some tolls and fees and things of, but really what were the significant major milestone victories, And here's a guy that wants us to think he can build the party. He couldn't even get five senators in the state of Maryland. Foot at least to make this the state Senate veto proof. I mean these air delusions of grander or or maybe it's just jealousy. I know I don't know what it is, but, you know, I think this is strictly reality. He's constructing a reality. The question is whether or not people who look at Larry Hogan now from outside the state will accept that reality because you're right. I mean, he's angling either for a Senate seat or for run for the presidency in four years. I can't see him at this point Going back to private enterprise addressed him, You know, not for now, so fine. He's he is creating the Larry Hogan reality so that There are two or in four years he'll be able to say, You know, I've been saying this for all along. I'm not one of those guys who says nasty stuff. I'm gonna go ahead, get along kind of guy and We just want to do things in a moderate kind of fashion, which means basically, anything you Democrats want. We will capitulate. Let's be brutally honest here and And as I said, before, you know, years ago, he used to come on the show all the time. He's now again. They won't touch us with a 10 FT Pole. And that's been pretty obvious, but even before covered right there, Thank you, Kristin. But let's face it. The Democrat opposition to Larry Hogan, the last two election cycles was pathetic. Yeah, they run a socialist and Ben jealous. And before that, I mean, honestly, I mean, they they had a perfectly good Democrat Governor. What was a runt? O unseat him? Yes, that's a truer words were never spoken. So Governor, Hogan says it's time for Trump to concede, agree or disagreed. What's what? It looked The model here we talk about what? Getting this here just a second. But again, just like Lincoln did just like Reagan did. Trump grew the party. He grew the party. He got record minority support. Latino support black support with Look how many women are going to Congress, 16 on bands still counting on again so nationally, Trump grew the party when Larry couldn't even grow it in his own state. 6 13 right now. Traffic.

"Than 100 days away from that election in November, and the poll numbers continue to come in in worrying ways for President Trump. But today's the day that Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, is due to introduce his proposal on fiscal Simmons. Could that help the president and the Republicans come fall. Welcome now, Rick Davis. Five Stone Court Capital. And he, of course, is Bloomberg political contributor. So can they turn this thing around right now and make this stimulus to success even though the Democrats were ahead of them, and they have a bigger number of the table? Yeah, The Democrats clearly are trying to put a much bigger number on the table. But Republicans realize I think a little bit late that they had to continue the stimulus at least through the end of the year and certainly through the end of the election. And so that's what you really see. Mitch McConnell and his team coming back with is a stopgap proposal that eyes going to try and do ah, lot of different things, but Also be very political. One of the things that will be overlooked by most economists is thie changes that they're trying to make on education policy, encouraging school choice, which is something that Trump would like. The brand is a campaign thing. But really is, I think by the Democrats evaluation much off the mark when it comes to having to support people around the stimulus is that one of things we're going to definitely see and Republican proposal, which is forget about state local governor Generally, there's going money for schools, no matter what. Well, the question is, are the Is it the money for the school? There's the money for the students. This is a Republican vs Democratic approach. Democrats want to put money into schools and teachers on Republicans want to put money in the pocket books of the parents so they can make choices for the students. It is confusing today, when you look at all the merit of options that people have two Educate their Children is fall. Whether it's all Elektronik education or partial or all participatory, and in order to bridge that gap, what Trump has been pushing Is to put money as much as $10,000 a fan a student into the hands of the parents so that they could make choices. Something is putting the elephant's tusk under the tent when it comes to school choice and the broader debate of public versus private But nonetheless, I think the Trump campaign in the Trump administration see this is a winning political issue well, and that's my question, really playing it from the president's point of view. How does he turn this around? Because it's pretty consistent now the polls coming in showing he's behind, including in key battleground states. Will we see him? Actually trying to change the top where he was sort of a denial on Corona virus for sometime, refused to wear a mask, Wantedto put reopening ahead of public health. We've seen a huge turnaround last week in that regard, promoting on his Twitter account people to use the mask canceling the rally. It was slated for his convention, the end of August and and really trying to get on the other side of the Corona virus debate that many people believe has has contributed to the deficits that he now has in literally every battleground state. When you look at the current pulling for the last two weeks, Joe Biden is now ahead in virtually every battleground state when you look at the tossup, electoral votes states but his ahead and almost every one of the toss up states. Giving him a huge advantage going into the fall election. So Rick, of course, round Senator John McCain's campaign for president, as well as many other campaigns for President Trump to really emphasize dealing with corn of ours that's playing for a time out a win, right? He's not going to beat Joe Biden on that. Where can you beat Joe Biden and get votes back to him? I think part of it is he wants to try and outflank him on this education issue, which right now is a very high priority for most families, and and he needs to find a way to have a conversation with suburban women. And, of course, education is a very big issue for suburban women. He's done three years of basically divorcing himself from those women. And now he's under pressure to try and find common cause. So that's one of the reasons why I think you see this issue popping up to. I think he's trying Teo get some of those unemployment numbers back, Tio something reasonable. And, of course, he looks at the education issue as a is a forerunner of unemployment. There are over five million parents. You can't go backto work right now, even if they could, because their kids were right now not planning on being in class in the fall, So he sees that five million is a target group and say, I want to get you back to work. I want you earning an income. And so if I can get your kids involved in a school program, I have a chance of you coming back, and that would improve his unemployment numbers, So it's kind of a twofer issue for him. So so, Rick, whether or not the president is trying to not divorce this room with him, he seemed to be divorcing a fair amount of the main stage. The Republican Party, the Reagan Foundation yesterday. Paul Ryan, the former speaker of the House, even Fox News, he went after in a tweet. What is the strategy there? I mean, why? Why start shooting at your own side? No, he never seek saw fight that he didn't want to engage in the Reagan Foundation. One is incredulous Now. For years decades, I would say the RNC's had relatively unfettered access to the images and quote a former presidents in this case. Reagan Foundation objected and say, Look, this coin that you're trying to fund raise for for Trump's reelection should not carry the picture of Ronald Reagan on it, And normally, this would be a one phone call. No problem will kill the project. And move on the fact that Trump would tweet about it and attack the foundation really escalated something..

"Most stimulating talk three things. I think you need to know number one Republican lawmakers want state attorney general Martin Lorna vich. To investigate what's going on a Perry high school up in Gilbert because students were being targeted, and I guess what target for wearing mega close on a patriotic day patriotic theme day party in the USA day. So some students I like Trump were maga- hats megahertz, one brought an eight Trump twenty twenty banner and apparently teachers found it offensive even though teachers there that school every Wednesday wear red or red red shirts every single freak and Wednesday. See what happens second thing that. I think you need to know Martha mix silence Martha mix silent. She fires off a letter to the acting secretary of defense, saying do not please I want to ensure you do not use funds for military construction projects in Arizona. On the border wall. Don't do that. They're very important. What Martha protecting the border is not. That's where Martha mcsally is. Don't blame me. This is Martha third thing. I think you need to know is that Alexandria court. In some pretty frigging hot water right now. And a look into good for her. There has been an FCC complaint filed about her. We'll get to this stuff. It's been filed saying that her her chief of staff some others used to political action committees and LLC's to hide hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign. Donations matter of fact accusation is that her chief of staff, create a companies and everything. She or he he actually created companies and put that money toward the companies also. This is not the first FCC complaint against her last week Coolidge. Reagan foundation, the Coolidge Reagan foundation filed a complaint against brand new concert up brand new congress pack. That's when hers was used to funnel money money to Cortez's boyfriend Riley Roberts, six grand to be a marketing consultants. Oh, what a socialist baby three things. I think you need to know. Nino she moved into I think two thousand dollars a month apartment. They offer like massages everything what a socialist right there. What a socialist. Yeah. When she paying for so we she gets gets a salary, but she's not living up to her name. I mean, d you really need to live in such an exquisite place. Bernie sanders. We don't need twenty three different choices for the odorant. Shut up Bernie to competition keeps the price down. Well, yes. Three different tro. Choices in house. That's right. He does doesn't he does. Now, there's a guy that works for the Senator from studies a fellow center for immigration. Studies is name is Todd bensman was a former terrorism Intel manager we talked him on the show last year. But I forget about what. But he had some crazy incredible stories, and he's been tweeting that information this morning that I need to pass onto you. We might get him on at nine ten. We're just trying to get in touch with them through this people incentivisation studies. So. Apparently, he's been talking to to asylum officers to one particular asylum officer. You ready for this stuff? Todd bensman center for immigration studies. He tweets out this morning. Several tweets is the first one. U S asylum officer to me, we are under orders to grant credible. Fear in the high ninety percentile to all migrants with children and releases within ten days. The fraud coaching is so rampant and obvious that seventy five percent of my team has quit in disgust orders from high US CIS officials. Obviously. And you can't be Trump. The government is huge. You think Trump knows every single person that works, and these things these are leftover Caesar these are people that are part of the swamp. So they are under orders to grant in the high ninety percentile tile asylum credible fear, all these migrants are released within ten days. Migra children. That's where the kids are getting trafficked kidnapped used sold. And they say the fraud is obvious. He tweets again, Todd bensman US asylum officer to me. Migrants with kids I tell border patrol they're coming for work, a deportable claim then pro migrant Loy grew up, then pro migrant group lawyers give them fake stories of government persecution to get credible credible. Fear box checked in Dili, Texas ninety eight percent abscond after release. Meaning they never show for their hearing. Ninety eight percent since Trump pulling out his hair saying what but he wouldn't do that. But he's saying this we gotta change the laws, and yet you have these corrupt piece of crap members of congress that no this is happening. I mean, if Todd bensman knows, and I know in, you know, it you tell me they don't know it you telling me MC silent doesn't know Kirstin cinema does or no. These people don't work harder to change the law. What are they doing? That's not it. That's not it. And again, remember asylum. You can't say I can't find work. But then the the the pro migratory borders group lawyers tell them at government persecution. That's the only way to legally get asylum. My government's coming after me. Here's one more. Todd bensman asylum officer to me. Elective Lasix surgery is offered to all female migrants in family detention children, given braces all at no cost then catch and release into the interior migrants calling home with this news of these incredible benefits. And the rush year goes on. I'll re tweet all this by the way, follow me at Garrett Lewis on Twitter. Two hours one Tetons belt the wrong. We'll find you follow some meteorologists north west Arkansas true story, here's more about. So we get to pay for Lasik surgery and braces, you get I'm sure if you had to pay for it. Kids need braces, you have to pay for it cheap. Either. I don't I don't imagine. Yeah. I don't know imagine. They would be. Moping? My son has perfect teeth. Yeah. I didn't have racist. You did it. I am good. We're lucky our parents. You know, what our parents would give us that extra money then is false. Then if they yes. Hundred percent hundred percent. Here's more asylum officer to me. Same persecution story. Details by thousands of Central American migrants. They're all saying the same story. This is what it is hometown. Cop made me sell drugs. Then beat me equals government persecution, hundreds of bombs all suddenly gay credible. Fear box checked. Yes. Every time US CIS. Leadership requires the yeses. So the lawyers the people they all know exactly what to say. And they get the S's because they want to be in the high high nineties wherever USCIS United States citizenship and immigration services. We talked to Matt O'Brien who was with fair federation for American Immigration Reform. You get that about Dacca. I mean, how corrupt this organization, and this is a government entity US CIS, and they are corrupt is the day is long. We'll get to that. In just a second.
