"Hi, Eric. How are you? Guys. How are you doing? Yeah, Good. Good. How excited are you were getting excited about this thing. We're debating whether it would be cool. It would be really cool if it was just for a playoff spot. But it is cool that they got the 10 and we'll see who is Who's the eight there? The 78. Yeah. We were talking about that on our broadcast last night because the Grizzlies had to Secure that Sunday was from the eighth spot. They had to beat Sacramento and For a minute. It was looking like that might not happen, but they gunned down and came back with 12 will run to close it out. But I think it's really fun. I do think like you said it would be better if it was just for one spot. You know you're in it, but I think the advantage of being the eight Even if you have to go on the road, you have to be beating twice. And obviously for Golden State. That means Steph Curry not doing Steph Curry things two games in a row, which is highly unlikely, which obviously makes Grizzlies fans very, very nervous. You got to go through the Lakers or possibly Dallas. Whoever ends up in that seven seed, obviously. Phoenix coming back and winning that game against Portland may have shaken that up last night, but on I wouldn't count out San Antonio. My gosh, They're playing great basketball right now. They lost last night, but they put 144 against Milwaukee on the border. But above that, and it's just ridiculous. So I think it's fun. I understand the gripes. The players have because I think Would feel the same way after 82 games of five slots, grasping claws and seen that was three games behind me had this almost the same shot. I did if I was in the eighth, and they were the tents of the ninth, So you know, I think it's fun for right now, because of all the things we've gone through the league trying to spice it up and get people to watch and Who's not gonna watch if it's Stephan LeBron and you know in the 78, or even if it's a young Grizzlies team, LeBron or whatever. But Sunday's game now takes center stage because of that, and I think that makes it a lot of fun. Yeah, I listened back to your broadcast this morning on the N V, a at the archives and you do a hell of a job and you're just so much fun. I could hear your talk radio. Style. Come out a little bit. Tell the audience you are from Walnut Creek. You went to UC Davis. You worked up in sack on Raiders games. Just give us a little background on your on your bio here. Well, you've had an influence on that because I grew up listening to you. My father had lived in Walnut Creek A and moved there in high school, a split time between there in Sacramento. As a kid. I grew up in Danville, and before I kind of boomed and went to the John Baldwin and, um, you know was around some great players back then that they end up being professional athletes. Randy Winn. Lived on my block again. Mandy Tarpley, who played baseball Cal, and I think he's now a head coach in high school and in Bay Area was just a phenomenal baseball player. And then I was fortunate enough to go to Dallas Al for my four years of high school with Barry Boys, Brent was a year older and Drew was in my class and really got to know them. And, you know, after two years of thinking, I knew everything and trying to go to Southern California I realized that much rather be helped North transferred back towards home and That's where you know the radio dream kind of happened. I had a friend that we would talk all the time. He worked for his dad's auto, part auto dealership and driving the parts truck and listened all day that knbr and so he said, You know, you sound a lot like those guys on the radio. When we talk. Maybe you should look into that. Thankfully, at Davis, there was a radio station and When I got there, I just said had, I'd really enjoy trying that out. I was working with the guy in the Internal Department did it and we'll come spring. They needed someone to talk baseball and I knew a lot about baseball stuff. I still follow baseball closely on a huge a span and still watch Out here a bunch and, um, it's just I fell in love with it. And I remember the first game I did, you know, for Davis football, and it was awful and it was everything about it was terrible. And I learned about preparation and, you know, knowing what you needed to say on the fly. I think I'll never forget this. I know it's a long winded answer. I'm sorry. Great. Great. No, I love it. I love your Larry tales. Great to hear people out there listening could be inspired by you, Eric. They could go into the business. I would. I would hope not. I would hope they would get into a field where they don't have to live on Stop Rahman. Two years, But I learned I learned to make it gourmet. But I guess my favorite thing I remember about the whole journey was we were playing ST Mary's when they still had a football team. And at Davis. They had a really nice press box for the commercial station and a really old rickety one for the campus station, which I was in, and the associate athletic director Larry Swanson. He was kind of over us came in, and he He said. I need to talk to you at halftime, and I'm I'm a kid in college. I'm thinking, okay. I've said something wrong. I'm about to get fired this This was fun, but I guess it's not for me and he came in and looked at me said What are you doing in here? I had no idea what I was supposed to answer. I just said I don't know what you mean. But I'm just trying to call the game well, half of our alumni and season ticket holders have switched to the campus station and said that you're doing a phenomenal job. And I was like, OK, and he goes well, keep it up, and I didn't know I just Knew had prepared more. And so I learned that night what that was about. I honestly thought I would always kind of End up toward the NFL. I used to cover them when you were calling the games. Gregg I would listen on my way back to our station to do our postgame show. And, um, you know, I had a couple of conversations with teams when they had openings around 4001 and They didn't work out. As you know, the business is incredibly competitive. And then all the sudden Vancouver moves to Memphis. There's an opening and I get a phone call from the station out here on like the September 11th and they said, Hey, we need to fly out to Memphis. I said, I'm not sure if you've been watching the news, but I'm not sure when anybody's gonna fly again, but I assume that they can get out there. So on day another as they say, The rest is history. I fell in love with the organization and It's a different place to live in. It's much more laid back, but there's there's parts of it that I am not Superfund out. But there's parts of it that I love. And the best part is that the people I work with and the team I work for. They just treat us like we're part of the family and And that's what you can ask for in a smaller market. I growing up a Warriors fan. I think you guys would understand that even though it's a major market team that sand Bass was tight, and that was that was almost like a small market fan base, the loyalty and the things people went through before they got good. And I always laugh when people out here say all I hate the lawyers because they bought a championship. I'm like, Are you out of your mind? Like 19 out of 20 years? That team in San Francisco Bay area did not make the playoffs. They built it with great draft picks with smart decisions, and then when they were awesome, an awesome player just happened to be able to sign there. And so they became even better. So your hatred is rooted in nothing but you know, non fax, and I think that's what I've always respected about them. And, you know, you guys know Raymond Ridder he gave me The thrill of a lifetime being able to go see Game six, the final game and Oracle because that's where I grew up going with my father before he passed away, So I got a lot of respect for that organization. Sunday is gonna be a lot of fun. I don't see I want the Grizzlies to win. But if the Warriors went and I'm not gonna go home, you know and pick up a piece of furniture because I'm upset because I think that they played terrific basketball..

"14 hits the Big Three. Good assist from Come on, Looney! Let's Get it all of it. Carnal Eterno. Our pal joins us from The Chronicle joins us. Courtesy of the room, I guess on how are you? I'm good. How are you? Never doing good man eyes. You've got a lot of great quotes in your piece, and also on your Twitter feed. Today, people should check it out. But as you point out, and this stuff, said, they're playing some of the best basketball, it's a good time to be playing it. But then again, you know stuff. Nothing else is gonna surprise us. He saved him again late with that three last night. Yeah, I mean, the thing about stuff that she can have Ah, quiet quarter quite half, and he's still going to hit the big shots when it when it matters most in that time and time again. Season and yesterday was no was no different when they needed big Buckle. Eight. He was there and, you know, I think he gets overlooked, but dreamin was just as impactful. On that play with a really nice, low angle bounce pass to find him in the perfect spot of the perfect time, which something you've seen time and time again this season from him. This energy between them has been off the charts and Might be the biggest reason stuff, eyes playing in every peak hour level because his energy was with dream on unreal. Yeah, Dream on and obviously making huge place. He had 10 assists last night, but The third guy that we forget when we look at the championship Didna. This group Connor is is come on. His offensive rebound when Rudy Gobert inside physician on him, and he just went right around him. On, then got it out to dream out and then over to step and then the help defense when Jordan Clarkson blew by Andrew Wiggins that he went up Right under the rim straight up, did not get a foul call. Just big time. The man he's playing a lot of minutes and his health. You know, we were worried about him Your apathy a few different times in his career to look like the same guy. Even earlier this year, he was dragging ass, but Now he's playing almost 30 minutes tonight. You got a back to back you got, you know DeAndre eight in Phoenix, watching the game in their hotel room, Ordered room service getting ready for tonight. So, uh, how long can they keep running to von out there with these heavy minutes and then, uh, Jordan Bell, Mr. Here. Hey, What is he gonna be? When is she gonna roll into their gonna still sign this guy? What's going on with that? Yeah, they're still going to sign him. I'm he 1/13 a couple days. Um, just had to get through some protocols and things like that, but he will be on the team. On the nice thing is, even though he started to wear, given the changes with the to add to a contract. Guys complain the class. So, um, Hill completely last couple games. Or the words in the regular season and then be available if they need him in the playoffs. And, you know, he's really just another body. You know, you talked about Come on. Come on, has been In my In my opinion, spectacular just in terms of You know, doing all the little things being in the right place the right time. The rebounding totals have been off the charts. I think he's having the best beating of his career. And the most impressive thing to me is just the fact that like you said he's playing. 30 plus minutes a night lately, which is this'd the guy that I didn't think it played more than 25. I think even Steve Kerr didn't think he could play more than 25. But he's feeling good. He's looking spry. He's like a completely new player. Hey, doesn't seem to be wearing down, but you do You have to be cognizant of it just because this isn't a guy who's used to playing those kind of minutes on a regular basis. So it's nice to bring in someone like George Bell, who you're familiar with. The system should have a pretty pretty small learning curve coming in. He totally throw out there and eat up minutes, sometimes stuff. Colonel. The colonel is generous. The words get to win over the jazz, and it doesn't get easier tonight as they take on the sun's. We let's fast forward because it just looks like this is gonna happen for the For the 89. Memphis wins last night could come down to Memphis and lawyers. Whoever wins that game would would win the tiebreakers. Wealth comes down to that. And it looks like maybe the Lakers gonna be in the seven. So just kind of update us as we as we look at this whole thing, the 789 just at this point, it would be Lakers. And that would come down to potentially of that last game between Memphis and the words Exactly. I mean, you kind of kind of broke it down, but it's looking like it's very likely it's going to be Um, Lakers, and that seventh spot and then warriors are obviously trying to vibrate by that's that's really important difference between 89 is huge in the play and tournament because it's basically view of the eighth spot. You get two cracks at making the playoffs on If you if you get the nine spot, you have to win two straight games to make the playoffs, So that's a significant difference, especially when you're talking about, you know. Um, just a team. That's that's been inconsistent this season. Another plane better of late, but you never know what's gonna happen in a plan environment. Um so they definitely need need to and want to back up that a spotty you're right. It might come down to Regular season finale against Mrs That'll Be That'll be really fascinating to watch, you know, but they're gonna be watching what Missus does the next couple days. Hopefully, Memphis loses the game or two here and the words continue to win, and they can kind of take some drama. Potentially Out of that regular season tonight. And it may come down to most assuredly will buy the math of it. Bill's not gonna play. No. One more game, but she if he comes back, but Steph to win another scoring title, so this would give him three championships. Two MVPs into scoring titles. He do You want a four in the history? The MBA. To do it. So there's gonna be fascinating that last time we had John, what was it? A couple of weeks ago we were talking about the M V P vote. And so did did. Did Raymond Ridder give you one? Now? You definitely get a vote. And then you know what he's doing here? I get it, but they are one in seven without him. So with them they're 35 26, which over an 82 game season the normal Regular season. Ah lot. Maybe 47 wins, which a little bit light for an M v P, But it's not insane. But what he's doing is insane. I've never seen a guy score the way he's scoring, and it's never been done before at 32 points a game almost so Do you have a vote? What? When you get a file that in, you gotta wait till after the last game of the season is recorded as Steph Curry does beat out Bradley Beal Connor, and he does lead the NBA and scoring for a second time. Would that factor into your decision? I believe I do have Ah, um I have not received my Bali and I should be getting that in the next week or so. Um, And.

Andrew Wiggins Rudy Gobert Jordan Clarkson Steve Kerr Jordan Bell Raymond Ridder 32 points Bradley Beal Connor Steph Curry George Bell Carnal Eterno John Today Phoenix 10 assists 35 26 Steph 47 wins two

Raymond Reddington of your Raymond really likes the Tweet mid game from New Orleans. So there you go. So what was the purpose of all this? I don't even know what that work is to get exactly the 13 year old Declan Murphy's and nine year old Rory Murphy's into the game One day. Tell us even likes basketball period. He'll watch it. That's why I'm saying like Was extra enthralled by the carts, Comics book font. And the idea that there was like a little sizzle of superhero going on. Okay, So what's the difference between I'm dead serious. This is a real question. What's the difference between Avengers Night or more of all night or whatever, at the Warriors Game and Star Wars night at a Giants game? Well, just go dressed up in a lightsaber like she like cameras. A lot of ways to answer that that this was a TV broadcast. This was done by ESPN. Not by not by the pelicans. So this had to do with the fonts on your TV guys in the seats had, like costumes off. Yes, I didn't. There was The fact I worked I dressed up as Captain America Well in the shell, that is, there's no difference out of shape. You look like a fool. There's no interesting. That and Star Wars night at all, which is going on tonight, apparently made the fourth. Apparently the Yankee Astro game, is it Is going to be an entirely a star Wars themed drive. See, Nikki to Touro going is like Obi Wan Kenobi will be one to toilet We need Nicky. We need some wrong Nexus. Yeah. Thank you Say, yeah. You don't need to see. All right. These Yeah. Like you have your father. Yeah. What wouldn't would test Nicky off the forget when the Star Wars like would piss him off anyway? The point the perfectly perfectly said anyway, so, yeah. The sign for Players from each team superhero status, and they each got those bonus cartoon comic book points for if they achieve something, and any time they had the ball, you saw their name and comic book font, and I'm sorry it worked. I enjoyed the game regardless because Steph Curry just again the show that this guy is putting on on a daily basis, Murph. In fact, it kind of moved me a couple of days ago to like, Put this together something because we've done a lot of curry songs. My guest. Murph is probably we've done more for him than any other athlete in our entire run together because I already got like, four or five tunes for this guy, But I haven't done anything for a couple of seasons and I feel like I'm almost at the point where I got to do something. So on behalf of Murphy, Mac came B r Dub Nation if you will shut out your wake up. Shut up, troll. Wake up, Shannon, Reverend, shout out Raymond Ritter's vest, and all I want to do is just say thank you to Steph Curry and Murph. "Feel great. I don't I mean, I don't feel much about it. I really don't know about you. Well, I like you a sort of paralyzed into silence. Yeah. You know what I realized all the guys or signing else all the other guys or signing elsewhere. The guy Andy Dalton, who we all thought was coming. Chicago. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Washington Mitch Travis Key yesterday signed with the Bills. You already had Jacoby Percent. He went to Miami. Tyrod Taylor went to Texas during our Houston There ain't much left man. One good thing I saw was that call youse check said he would love to have him. So maybe they These guys know something about him. We don't know. I don't know. I mean, he seemed first of all, He's pretty damn old, isn't he has been around for us. Somebody think Drew's Schiller sent out a tweet saying, Well, if you're going to draft a rookie quarterback Good to have. Okay, A wise old silver back in there to tell you the way right? I was hoping if they were gonna make if they were going to kind of entertain this idea of like a veteran backup type guy, I was truly hoping they were gonna go for Alex Smith just for so many different reasons. Let him retire is a 40 Niner kind of right that wrong the way he was treated before into the horrible years. And Plus, you know, like he's gonna make his his post football home here in the bay. We could get back in touch with them. You know what I mean? It just felt right on so many levels, And then he could help out Garoppolo through his growing pains. So I was always hoping if they were gonna do something like this. It would have been Alex Smith. That's all. I have not heard him linked at all, either one. But I don't know why it's so quiet, but you know nothing's done. Flaco didn't sign anything. But right now, guys the there's noise is noise and is I don't know, man. I know. You know what? This could be Another one of these late night things. We better check your Twitter when you wake up tomorrow morning, because you know the late night party like twice. Yes. Alright, anyway. Well, that's what your main talking points here. Niners and Flacco giants getting ever closer. And, of course, March madness joining us Oh, and the Warriors tonight. Oh, yeah, the courage to break doubtful. Yeah, that's gonna That could be a big problem Or that might help me on the one hand. I got no curry notary in Memphis. On the other hand, I got attorney. Yeah, it's gonna be tough. I mean, maybe going bracket, buddy. Don't wanna disrespect Raymond Ridder. Good friends, but shut up this phenomenon to be explored, and now we gotta go. But, uh, the NBA during tournament weekend is an absolute Mean list. Z on them, like the MBA during the NBA during the tournament is such an afterthought. "Of the century. It's really in the century just started. That game was in after the 2000 and one year And it would start you know which games played January 19th 2000 and two and I was already for claiming In the next 99 98 years. Whatever it is a bit of help football. There's never gonna be a crime like this. This is the crime of the century. So Yeah, Anyway, Thank you for a great thank you. Thank you. Very well done. By the way, I'm I'm at the last second filling out my bracket. I'm totally doing it blindly. I've watched very little college basketball this year. Taxes aren't due till April. 15th child you have time to do here. Oh, that bracket bracket. You're talking about What Trouble? You're your men's NC double A a tournament that bracket bracket. Here's where I'm stuck. I'm stuck. I'm into the next region here. And I'm stuck with six San Diego state against an 11 seeded Syracuse. Which way would you go there? That I'm curious Why Leonard happening? Eligibility left for San Diego State. It's not going to slaughter You know, Syracuse is leading scorer is Bay. I'm no Oh, it's not Jim. It's his son. It's a son, buddy named a son, buddy, Jim Jim was in the backcourt with Dave Bing. Even before I went there, I met so Day, Biggs a great guy. Hey, I met him it like lt really rich. Yeah. No, he's being steel being steals beyond Oh, yeah. Yeah, he's humongously rich. So who you taking Texas Southern Mountain, not ST Mary's. The Gaels air out of the nightie would have done already. Well, you take in Texas southern Mt. ST Mary's, which sounds like a terrible thing. It's just something you wouldn't want to do is ST Mary, but in any of them who Who are you taking everything out of that, Uh, male Mount ST Mary's Why? That I liked that joke of a name is just speculation. Can Texas Southern Wasn't it was at University of Texas El Paso years ago. You. Do you check to step? No, it was. We have to go back to that movie. Right? In six. Texas Southern Was that the first all black school in the history of when they played Kentucky? I think it was from that great moving anyway. So you're taking You're gonna Mount ST Mary's is what you're doing there. Yeah, Why not pulling the sheriff's kid years ago was the worst thing you ever did. Well, How about Drake Drake? Wichita State is next to three I'm doing in chronological order. Drake, Wichita State 3 25 on TVs. Okay, Here's here's something for somebody cause I used to watch a ton of college basketball. The best player at a Drake. I believe it was Louis Lloyd. He was a guard, and he would play with rockets for a long time. And then the best player at a Wichita. So I remember him. Well, tough one Lewis lawyer Shaka, That's right. And then the shock is Kevin. Collaborate. Shopper Is that Would that be? Andrew? My car the best, Shaka. Whoever would we go with Wichita State? There was another way. I would go, Raymond Ridder, but you know you could do. You could do what you like. I would go Raymond Ridder and that matchup, But that's up to you. That's good. He's the best shocker of all time with a tremendous bowler, by the way, because he has the grip on the proper way to shock. Uh, so you're going. Which one of you got Drake or Wichita State? I'll go with the shockers discuss. Come on. How can you said you already filled out your brackets? You haven't even got through the first four? No, I tell you what I'm doing. I'm doing Don't you know you pick? Can't you read? My my parrot bouncing around here. All right, I do it. We have the latch and state nor folks stay till you got now on tap state. AP State is dead. You killed him, You know who went to Ava's State? Daniel Kilgore's story with guys that played years ago? Yeah, that's right. I'll win this way. Uh, Daniel Kilgore went toe AP State Big upset of Michigan years ago. And then Daniel Gerald, He played basketball when he was there. Just play on the offensive line. The offensive line it gets it. This is the very reason I don't fill out a bracket. By the way, Marty Laurie listening a taxes aren't to this, You know. May 17th I didn't even know that's right. They moved it back. Thank you, Marty. I always felt like I was filing extension. I don't don't don't do it. Collect over that surprised. Um, well, the percentage on that is way lower. I mean, it's it's it's. It's a very low percentage penalty for that, anyway. So you take a nap State Norfolk State That's on true TV. By the way, I'm going out fighting back here. Oh, that's always fun. Every year. Perhaps they make you find on your app store. Take of state. All right, here's the match up. Are you taking Lou else? Cinder? Or urban Magic Johnson. I could go. Gregory Kell, sir. Or I could go dreamin. Irishman. Green U C L, A Michigan State. Wow, that's there in the first four those two mighty programs that crazy No joke. You know, Kentucky and crazy, right? Uh, you gotta go with Tom Izzo. Because in the tournament, he's always money. I'd like to see you see l A because look, I'm a West Coast guy. I'd like to see that. But Tom Izzo in the tournament is magic. I think you could actually you could make a run. I'm in a big big 10 this year was great. On. They barely got in. But I think I'm gonna have to go. I mean, have to go with Tom Izzo in Michigan State dream on. Whole crew. Okay, So re capping. You're going Mount ST Mary's, which is at least married after you do that. Yeah, Drake, which Which one you going? Drake, Wichita State. I'm gonna go Wichita State, Shaka. I mean, we, you and I have made shopping. It's about shocking Raymond Reader's gonna make you happy if you going upstate, so you go on Mount ST Mary's, followed by a shocker. Now That would be interesting. If they win. Do they play each other? Then? Then you have the shockers against Mount ST Mary's. That would be terribly that would be right to hell. You burn in hell. You're going upstate and you're going ISO Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah, That's what that's what I think I'm doing there. Okay, But like I said, this is the most uninformed I've ever been in a In a a tournament. For example, way more informed that I am your weight. I'll just well, when I am informed. I never do well anyway, so nobody knows the old one. You know the old five twelves and take a one and do all those kind of things against 16 the basics. But for example, by logic here is I know that Villanova's through the years has been great, but they're playing Winthrop and yesterday we were talking about that. We're talking about the movie trading places. Remember the wind through so I just don't know. So there. That's not time I ever think of them Every year they come out went through. Yeah, so Man. All right. I did, By the way, I took your orange in the first round. I don't know when you are, you know that. I'm not a baby. I'm fan. So it doesn't. It doesn't bother me at all. If you if you took the San Diego State clogs that would be fine by me. All right. All right. That's a little bit because I'm so uninformed. That'll probably be my best bracket of all time. But we'll see how that works out starting tonight. So late start not the all day thing that we normally get. "And I forget the brain damage I've sustained and all that. What is the connection? Water boy has to the Knicks. Like how? What Had that happened? I don't remember. Help us out on this one story his dad's and Knicks fan or is that what it is? Okay. I love the disgust and coaches like Walt Frazier just saying names yet. He said that nobody so he said, I need to come at him cope. So, yeah. So I need to come at him The way I came in QB one hard Rockets fan member that I just unleashed Murphy this attack. Yeah, the Knicks right now at 15 wins 16 losses are holding the seven seed in the East. I couldn't tell you that. You know, playoffs for them hasn't been a real frequent thing in the last 20 years. No, Anyway, coach Tom Thibodeau fibs. They call him because then playing deep so so it should be interesting game. We all think you know, based on particles. You know, Wiseman should be back tonight. Yeah, Loony should be back tonight awakens his birthday. Come on, Wiggins his birthday, Polly. Unleash the Wiggins song. We talked. Ron Adams came on this show. Raymond Ridder. Listen to it. I mean, there's a lot of good evidence lining up here. Yes, and on top of That Draymond you know, came out and completely snuffed out any thought that he's some sort of problem. Yeah, he just took full Responsibility. Listen to his his quote here, his first meeting with the media since the Saturday night technical incident, double technical incident and he drops what's kind of now become a signature. Slogan. Uh, my perspective is as such, it's changed over toe over the past couple days. Um Say immediately After that game, I was kind of pissed off. No, just on My feelings are the whole situation. Uh, You know how the first tech went down More is more so than the second tech over my initial felons in anger. Uh, That came from the situation as I said, and I thought about situation and reassess, Um you know, as I had timeto Like the whole thing. Marinate and digest. I was dead ass wrong. There they go. All right. Was dead, Eh? I was dead. I was wrong to maturity of a dream on. You know what I mean? I don't know if you would have said that five years ago, agreed. And if Bo that leads into part two of my quotes here, listen. Uh, you know, I'm a completely different person. I was at 30. I mean at 25, but I am a 30. So when I look at the person who I am today, that should never happen. And so, you know, saying that, um You know, I can admit My thoughts and when I'm wrong, and I was wrong on I have to do What I have to do to make that up to my teammates, and I don't mean you know, obviously, you know, like I told you guys, I appreciate sport of me. But that action does not warrant support. You know, with support from teammates comes a responsibility and I let that responsibility go. Good stuff, man. I mean, listen, I know people are upset and you know, he cost them the game. He did, But I just kind of refused to condemn dream on in this situation, you know, with you totally and the way he's been playing this year, too. I mean, he's doing a lot out there. He's essentially coaching most of the guys on the floor. Most of what I do. I do cringe when he releases a shot. I do. Yeah, I wish that you know, it's funny. There wasn't time. Dude earlier in his career, you didn't feel that way like he would shoot. He was Score like he his shooting has really kind of slipped over these past. I don't know what maybe three seasons four seasons can we literally say they would have four banners? If he didn't get suspended in 2016. Uh, I mean, yeah, I don't. Yes, Yes, you can. Three and four there, man. Yeah, big difference. I know. I know. Well, they might still get that fourth. That's I'm saying maybe next year, things start lining up. You know what I mean? Clay comes back. I don't know. Let's see. Here's one that dream on said in here, I see a text Somebody upset. Don't portray dreaming is a hero. He said. He's he acted like a fool. Well, he said, as much to I mean, we're here. He's here. He says something that's a little strange, but, you know, with dream on, you just gotta really God. I don't know where you're going. Harry is on on where you know the reaction to his double check if you type in Draymond green. Uh before. When was that game Saturday? Uh, First clip you'll see is me talking about the drama situation and so to go from that situation to like put the next thing would be if you see of me. It's like two completely totaled different ends of the spectrum. And that's where the disappointment for me lies, you know, and just kind of Let my emotions get the best of me and going from One of the most powerful statements in NBA history to like that. Uh, It's embarrassing. S so, um, that's kind of where the disappointment comes from. For me. Okay, so You know, one of the most powerful states in NBA history, you know, maybe not. Maybe not. We'll just kind of let that 1 Ft off into the ether there. All right, all right, But I said this. We played this couple hours ago. My hat is off to dream up for doing something I never do and that search yourself on Google, you know? Oh, my God. Yeah, I'm not interested. I can. Yeah. I don't think you're gonna find like we love Pauly Mac calm. No, no, I'm not gonna look, I'll find probably quite the opposite. Which is why I'm not searching. Yeah, but you gotta do your thing and tune out the noise. But Grandma wants it. He's searches himself. I'll find the Web page a day least want to see Murph, which is ah women that can't stand Paulie mac dot com. I mean, You've heard a lot about the other Web pages. That one might be out there. But I don't even I don't want to know. You know this before some things are better left unsaid. Other things are better left unsearched another quick. Yes, yes, You can say it. Polly mac dot com Treatments like Bring it on, man. I'm searching myself. Yeah. Meanwhile, Draymond about controlling his emotions going forward, I think any time you go through some things in life, you you come out better on the other side, So I'm 100% think I'll be better aspires controlling my most of them not to control my emotions. I let him get the best of me that David I You know, as someone who could get 15 checks every year and never cross that line. I think I know, control my emotions pretty Pretty well. Half. There you go, man. So it you know, as I always go back to my one of the great movies of all time, my favorite year and Peter or to his Alan Swan plays a drunk entertainer. We just kind of lets people down a lot. But he's so charming and brilliant. His limo driver says with Mr Swan, you forgive a lot and yeah, it's kind of that way with dream on for me. Yeah. You look the other way, you know? Yeah. I don't know it. Just as a fan as an observer is a broadcaster is the host. I don't know. I don't I understand if people get mad a tray mon, I'm just not there. Um, I just I see too much Goodness. I see too much championship. But there are people who feel the other way. Polly. There's people who feel like I know there are no and I know they got room to weaken. All co exist out here. But I'm with you on this, Murph. I stand with dream on. I mean, there's way too many positive there. Too. And you know that you're going to get this occasionally with him like this is kind of part of the deal, you know? Yeah, And but there are gonna be people who've had it their families. We call them hater South here. Yeah. Well, you know, some people brought up yesterday I was hit with a guy who said, you know he's costing him games..

"His name is John Krasinski And John writes for the athletic, and he wrote an article by Andrew Wiggins today and everybody's talking about how great Wiggins is playing in in the Bay Area, and what a transformation it is for him and all those kinds of things and one of the things you Steve Kerr had a great quote. In the article, and he says he does, she said that all standards maybe 10 or 15 players in the league who determine the circumstances of a team. The other 450 are victims or people who excel based on their circumstances, You know, so like you know that that's I mean, that's that's pretty accurate. Yeah, I mean, like when you look down look down list of the highest paid Players in the NBA on do you look at you know and stuff. Curry is one of them. You know Chris Paul and James Harden, LeBron James, Kevin Durant. You know the those kinds of players kind of termine. You know what happens in the league on But what happens on their teams, But so many players are victims of circumstances and, you know, we have to say this. You know what if in Boston had, you know the Golden State Warriors not treated Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish. What if they would have stayed with warriors back at that time in 1980, Tommy? I'm not gonna play with Larry Bird. What would have been Kevin McHale's career art? You know what would have been. Robert Parish is career arc because everybody assumes the Warriors would have been great, and we don't know that they would have been great cause we don't know that McKay there have been better off and I don't think there's any doubt but we don't know what with the wars or those two Would've tuned tuned into. I mean, no, You're absolutely right, Pete. I'm curious How much you think plan for the Rockets early on and how they played helped you because I know the warrior system helped me because I'm 68 on Nellie. Let me play outside. Let me handle the ball. We ran so wasn't a lot of half court stuff and in the league back then there were big power forwards and big center, So it was just a different league. And that wasn't really who I who I wa so I think playing for him. Allowed me to get seven years in the league, and then there's not a coincidence. Those are my promotes productive years, along with the one you're in Orlando, But you're so right that you could be the same player and you go to a team. And I think Houston was perfect for you two wouldn't admit. Well, I mean, I got drafted with a large one. And so all of a sudden I come into the league. You know, I'm a marginal player. I I made it in the NBA by playing hard. That's that was my best skill set is that I played harder than most everybody I played against and and so I got to play the Kim. Elijah wants and then I get to sit there and practice against him every day and then. Learn these moves and try to stop him and s O. I got better defensively, and I played it for L. Samson and I'm playing with the twin towers, and we're having success, and we're going to the NBA Finals. And, yeah, there's no there's no doubt that being drafted by that team that I was, I was the benefit of circumstances, you know, playing with the team at the right time, and and so this this was the whole thing. Like John Krasinski is talking in this article. It's a really great article to get a chance. If your subscriber to the athletic to look it up because Give you some insight into Wiggins. On big question for me, Tommy, for you like this is and I was talking to Raymond Ridder, who is the fantastic PR man with the Golden State Warriors. I was talking away about this today because You know, having been part of the Warriors system like I was there with Don Nelson. I was there with run TMC a few and saw the culture that sort of that Molly sort of built and But then it got William a lot better with mission and tinny. Right. So then we kind of built the culture and now he was part of that Nellie kind of built this system. But then there was a long time when warrior basketball was not good. I mean, The whole Adelman, Carlesimo, Muscleman Montgomery era and women even only two point all on DSA went so like they talk about enter, enter, was saying this to jump to post game last game after the Bulls game, Andrew was saying that the culture with the Warriors is so much better than it was in Minnesota. And so and so my point with ended. My problem is that Andrew was picked number one. It was given a Max contract in Minnesota. Tom Thibodeau was here and and and he gave tips credit for being organizing stuff. My thing is the players of the ones that create the culture, you know, and Esso and I was asking Raymond this like when, When was it was the culture built in Golden State? Because there was a long time when the culture wasn't good it Golden State. Was it when when Lake of and Gruber took over was when Mark Jackson came in, Was it one step Curry was drafted isn't Larry Riley that should get more credit for what happened with Golden State. I don't think Larry Reilly gets enough credit Tom because he's the one that picks up curry and he and he's the one that picked click Thompson. You know, so like I just so when? When did When did the culture start with Golden State? Tommy? Why? I think it was me. I think it's a slow process, and I think everybody you mentioned Has a hand in it, because step wasn't Steph and really until what about his fifth year and then Mark Jackson got there. And I think that helped change the culture..

"Welcome back to get a great interview Bob Myers of the Golden State Warriors my thanks to him Raymond Ridder and go in said overall stocks the Buffalo Bills football we're joined by a pro bowler a safety for the bills ten tackles and a forced fumble in that win over Dallas fifty tackles two passes defensed and I. N. T. two forced fumbles and one kickoff return for a TD this season the Tatum what what's in big ten defensive player of the year defensive back of the year one hundred and fifty nine pick in twenty thirteen out of Iowa another huge game for the bills they're hosting Baltimore Sunday CBS game one PM eastern Michael height is my guest Mike nice to have you back how are you I'm good good good good good to take me back to thanksgiving first I get that every single game is significant what does it feel a little bit different when it's Dallas against the cowboys on thanksgiving we are not computer games are having a smoke thing in Dallas and I was always there out into it so other with the with the one Mike hi joining us so Dallas went on a seventy five yard TD drive to start that game and then you have the defense absolutely lock them up the next three quarters what changed and how pleased were you with the way the defense locked in the way it did well well you can zero open god has already gone away for you know you click local Ching replaces all motion in the Americas Allah make the job on other disciplines our brand of football okay got to work the number or knowing that you know down about that one hundred arrested for safety Mike hides my guest after you beat Miami in week eleven your pricing Josh Allen and you made the point that he could be one of the best quarterbacks in the league then he goes out against Dallas on national TV he counts for two hundred seventy four yards had a couple of touchdowns a passer rating of over one twenty what do you make of his performance in that game you know that's that's our corporate America we love them southern computer today well that is part of the server no sense in a football game so you know we write about with them Seuss is almost missing go out there and like you said nasty beyond that you're gonna huge game in order to have so we're not going to be anybody else with a group of about thirty years in the sense of why you walk with you also love to see of all the safety Mike height is my guest going to the game Mike as you pointed out almost everybody picked against you guys then you go out you dominate on the road did it feel like a statement win to you I'm not gonna come in this year of yep you guessed it up in a day we always biographies of stuff we just go out there and put up in the football at us the control we control no no no that's why I think that we would play so well on the roads as we go to but all all week a cemex Imprenta football couple times how would you describe the attitude in the identity of this bills team exactly what is that brand the kind of the same brand of mostly buffalo home it's it's not it's not always pretty that there the day you know going to go out there and work hard and play hard hats on we're going to compete and those going on to the to game and on come down to you know how how fundamentals are hello we are situational football like I said as the city of buffalo two quick other morning go to work no complaining and you know that's that's that's how we try to put you to bed again Mike hi my guess you know you may know the point two about Shonda garment and what he's got a lock on a bunch of guys who've been maybe overlooked guys who are hungry guys want to compete guys who want to help the team win that's actually quote from you so what's it like to play for him and then how valuable is it double locking four guys you've got chips on their shoulders who do have something to prove yeah one of them is there's also you know you're good okay he was sort of the morning was a couple of the longer the lock on the like that not but if you interview the out the you know a lot of guys been awful they've been overlooked well in a lot of dialogue on that gives after what I wanna do Dracula coke is that then fires over teens minutes you know start the top you know a lot of guys been overlooked now that chip on my shoulder you know it's it's amazing to see a lot of these guys you know come together and just how far the one common goal that nice when organs and and try to change this culture in buffalo and that's why you see a contestant in the summertime we got here he's going to do that and so it's a process known record last year did indicate what was going on in the building but not this year we're kind of moving right action between working and noticed another one starts on on something you can talk more with talking like a high for a few more moments for talking goes football so in terms that culture change when you arrived in twenty seventeen D. teaming up in the playoffs since the ninety nine season you go your first year and now you're ninety three you're playing huge games in December so what's been the biggest change from when you first arrive to now how has that culture changed Robert Baker so I can start was on creeks from how to character guys know being aka all you know just just as you want to be around each and every day in Arkansas in the summer you know he's an open locker room you see can you know kids over there in the in the locker room you know with their dads is run around with the version and or whatnot you know lives and you know he's he's living made an open locker for the family I think this kind of record live it's our locker room just everybody knowing each other known says families on to be around each other Michael hi my guest names getting a lot of run for the Pro Bowl I know you're focused on winning games but what does it mean to you to get that kind of respect and what would it mean to you to go back to the probable are you up to the meeting with the hard work that I'm gonna put into this there's a lot of government Stephen Hawkins that there should be a part of it you know I mentioned before when I was a poor or no guys I took a risk it should be there left out some other teams are born on receivers who we are my that I wanted to include that in a minute lights out also past thirty years alongside you know that in certain seventeen so he does good he our names being caught up in Iraq I guess I can mention on on telling them without mention those two guys also Mike hi my guest one last thought you're now ninety three got Baltimore coming to town Sunday not a huge huge game when you think about facing Lamar Jackson what is the key to stopping him in your mind or at least slowing him down what turned out to be honest and well we're going to get in this week also out a phone order all we can do to turn it to the limit a lot of ways I was using a lot of issues on defense is not that of a stock on you know the alternative I has the the secret to stop the more doesn't understand he's a great player quite a bit in the key of the lead this year and button try to contain them you must feel intuitive safety for the Buffalo Bills and a pro bowler and that is a big big game Baltimore at home against Baltimore one PM eastern Sunday it is a CBS game Mike a great to have you back I really appreciate the visit could lock thank you very much we should let me try talking Michael thank you Michael hide them always down to talk those football in this program you know this always down to talk bills football so they're right there they're a game back of the patriots one eight hundred six three six eight six.

"Outside the practice facility every single day than any other teams have the last five years I'm guessing a lot of people are going to go to Los Angeles and camp out this year and I I think that's okay I mean the scrutiny these guys have done under for the past five years non stop is so hard for the average fan to really understand that taking a little of that pressure off I mean I think some interesting things will happen now a Raymond Ridder again P. R. man extraordinaire I'm giving given him short trip on his title but Raymond's also he's great at what he does the sent me a picture of you and bill Russell last night at the espys with that that was a really really cool picture and I'd read the stories about you and bill Russell in in your in your friendship I'm just curious if you could share that with the end by the way when the Arthur Ashe courage award last night at the espys just kind of the genesis of that of that relationship between you and bill Russell yeah I got a chill just hearing you say that again with him when I wore last night was a it was a pretty special anything I'm pretty pretty wonderful to be able to be there and share with them so you know I was a I was a twenty year old part time employee at the sonics with with the desk in the office hall way and bill Russell was our coach and general manager the sonics and I would have to work odd hours just because I was going to school the same time and bill is in a Tory asleep early riser he's often in at seven in the morning so on a Saturday at seven o'clock we be bumping into each other in the office never spoke a word and one day one of those mornings he stuck his head out look down the hallway and said Hey white.

"But to hear that it's a minority owner. It's, it's real real weird that he doesn't have the, the wherewithal just and not do anything, you know, just, hey, this is the coolest part of the NBA season. This is why I bought a portion of his team because. Yeah, I'm a venture capitalist and I want to make money. But also, like this is part of the experience L straight. There's more of his status is going to do this. Some rich guys like, yeah, I can do whatever I want. What's, what's gonna drink? Jake would never push opposing they'll come on. We don't see guys and if he did with a massage nice. We don't see guys in the front row. Get into the little scuffles, like say it's more likely someone with I don't know millions or billions of dollars that feels pretty entitled is going to do something like that. Then you are. I probably sitting there and just happened to be like two seats down from calorie in front of us or another player in front of us push him angrily the guys at the mouse, and the palace were all millionaires. Thank. Situation. Do you think it should be banned? I it should be up to lower. He should either get to choose this guy is kicked out of the rest of the NBA finals and has to sell his portion of the team or he gets the slap him in the face once on. And it's, it's at media day. So you got a lot of cameras. We get a lot of coverage. I think it'd be a fair punishment. What about we Seinfeld at any has to become Kyle hours Butler? Okay, that's fair to well, Kyle Lowry wants to ban for life because I I've heard call say that about four times in the three hours after the game, he set it on Scott van pelt, I believe you said it in the post game press conference because man shall never attend. Again. So he's he believes that these campaigner of the warriors have released a statement. Okay. What are you got Tim Bontemps? Thanks for the statement sounds like you got a scoop. This receives behavior last night, did not reflect the high standards that we hope to exemplify as an organization. We're extremely disappointed in his actions. And along with Mr Stevens offer our sincere apology to call arena, Toronto Raptors organization for this unfortunate misconduct. There's no place for such interaction between fans or anyone and players at an NBA game. Mr Stevens will not be in attendance at any of the remaining games of the twenty one thousand nine hundred finals review of this matter is ongoing. And if you want to, if you want to contact PR person, the warriors, PR man about it. Raymond Ridder's phone numbers five one zero. I don't know why he's number is on this. He's got take these calls tough. Job only call, Raymond. Everybody call Raymond. Okay. So just to put a button on this, it is Thursday game four on Friday night, because this is the this is the weird part of this final schedule where it is just a one day off in between. What's, what's your vibe for game four and the rest of the series? How it how it shakes out. I mean, are you going to continue to doubt the wraps game forum Delton, okay? Feels like the warriors will be you think it's gonna healthy and have a best of three series. Yeah. And that's great. It is. The best part of a game. Three raptors win is the ideas. It feels like this is going seven. It really does to make sure that does. Yeah. You agree. The raptors will win the championship have Klay Thompson. Kevin durant. Don't play for the rest of the series otherwise. I think it's a toss up probably going seven okay. Let's hear from you. Guys..

"That's what I keep hearing about. I keep hearing the scouting report. Speed speed speed. They're bringing crazy speed. Yeah. So you got that seven you got the drafted for. And then you've got the warriors in here, we go handle your business than I don't even get into the territory where you gotta contempt the game seven. That's one game your whole seasons on the line. My better question happening seven no question. No question. Are they speaking to each other is my question. Go ahead break this down. So I mean, we got most of our listeners might know by now or if you don't Steve Kerr was doing his media hit at raccoon performance center. That's it formerly known as the Oakland Marriot fifth floor, and if you've ever been there, you know, they played loud music, really loud. In fact, that's part of Kerr's culture is that he brought the music to the warriors. And they enjoy that. But it does make it difficult to do the QNA's. And so that's kind of been an ongoing problem. But yesterday. Draymond mongering was out shooting late, which is good. Saw somebody on Twitter said you mean that that do actually practices that backpack? Jumper. Oh, man. That's pretty good line. Pretty good because he doesn't shoot. Like, he's got a backpack on me. But anyway, the the music was very loud. It happened to be the music of the late rapper, nipsy hustle. So that has any news pig to it. Because of the team is still mourning his death, right? And Steve Kerr with no jocularity, and no like for 'Voliti, kind of salty stood up in his chair and shouted to our guy. Raymond ridder. Raymond. Can you get them to turn the music down? Your undermined the LSU coach coach Agron when he says remember that tells I you tell someone who's telling the guys I'm I'm having a conference right now. And then they kept going. Remember, you got married full up copes found. Sound.

"Seven point. Maybe lease got it and the final regular season seconds. Forty seven years in this building through the left field that has a chance. It is gone. A leadoff Homer. For Yandi Diaz Arroyo hits a little blue into right center field. Here comes cure Meyer. The throw from Duggar and cure buyers. Slides in safely, here's Crawford swinging roller loud. The second baseman has it. And the ball game is over the raise win three to nothing. Dave, I thought you were going to I think you're going to do with the other way around. Maybe maybe start us off with a three nothing giants loss and then roll us into the celebration and oracle I got all fired up. And then you punch me in the gut just like the Tampa Bay rays into your San Francisco Giants yesterday, they two out of three from the giants a three nothing win in which the giants. After a pretty exciting game on Saturday approved ahead. A little bit of life in the bats. Prove they could pitch proved that they could get a win against one. The top teams in the American League they came out flat yesterday. And and that was about it three nothing giants lay down. They was two or three to Tampa Bay. And we'll get into the offensive woes for the San Francisco Giants. But off the heels of what was the final regular season home game at oracle arena for the warriors last night. And I was out there some celebration a lot of fun last night. I thought that and I'm not one to get it when it comes to basketball, and I've talked about this before with baseball. I've got the emotion I've got the, you know, knowing the games with my of the final weekend of the season every year back when it was packbell park, and then oracle AT and T and now, of course, oracle park spending time with my mom, they're walking through those doors for the first time with my dad, my brother to see a ballgame in the year two thousand I have the emotion baseball little bit differently than I do for basketball. I've always had a tougher time. Trying to find a motion in the building that is oracle arena or that forever was the arena in Oakland. When I was a kid member eastern tonight have a sponsor for that thing. Just sitting out there next door to network associates Coliseum. Dave, the O dot co whatever. Whatever the hell the sponsor is calling the Coliseum this year. But I thought they did a pretty good job for for a situation for the warriors. And we talked about this a little bit last week where it's odd to celebrate. Or to do a sendoff for a building which is just sort of a don't want to say fabricated. But it's it's a sendoff for building that you're not totally sending-off at least not for that couple of months, at least that's the hope for warriors fans and for the the players on the team and everybody within the organization to do it in a way. That's that's perfect. You'd have to have a situation where you're very aware. This is gonna be the last game. Maybe you end up with another game. Seven auto Father's Day type thing like they did in the seventy three win season or you end up with a season where your team's not going to the postseason. So you're saying goodbye to the end of the regular season and to a crap. P team as you get ready to leave and head your new building. Neither of those with the case for the warriors last night. I do think that the warriors brass and that those involved in it. I'm not sure how much Raymond Ridder's involved or or how much the the promotional team is involved. What say Joe lake has an all this or Peter Guber Steve Kerr the warrior players themselves. I don't know exactly who has to say in what goes down. But I think as far as a regular season finale goes for a team that is expecting to play for another NBA championship. They did a pretty good job. I got a text last night James can cater used to be our one of our producers, Eric kmby are he's not one of the producers for the radio broadcast of the Golden State Warriors. He was at wrestlemania yesterday. He gave me his tickets so session. I went out last night to the game. And he should be it takes after the game. And he says I'm seeing all the stuff on social media from the celebration was epic. I said epochs not really the word because they're not done playing basketball games. They're they're not even done playing basketball games yet in the regular. Season what they are done with is their quest for the number one seed orders pick up the one seed last night in a win over the clippers which is a little bit interesting because the clippers are a team that could still end up being the eight seed to take on the warriors. Now, if the clippers lose to the jazz in their final regular season game, it's likely that that'll be the team the warriors see in the first round still a chance for them to see the Spurs or the thunder as well as the eight seat so up some other stuff about the celebration before we get into the ballgame from last night and the reflections from the players and from Steve Kerr the game started and throughout the game. And I think you could have expected this. They did a bunch of the little scoreboard vignettes, which I thought was kind of cool where it was almost as if I sort of go back to when Candlestick Park closed what my uncles one of his good friends. Kyle Vincent who bay area musician. I think he's back east. Now went to Berkeley, High a guy he was commissioned to by the giants to make a song or. Create a song. And maybe we'll try to find it during the break. I in my family, and I've always joked the son was called telecom by of course, quoting long Simmons. But the song was basically a a farewell to giants fans from the perspective of Candlestick Park. And it was a it was as if the stadium were singing to you is fans saying, you know, I tried to bring wind here. Tried to bring the cold to give us a home field advantage to try and help us win though. I'm just concrete and steel I can feel and I remember the days when Willie was planned center and bonds touched them, all when we laughed when Lasorda wave to the to the crowd or or wave to the sorry. Wave to the bullpen to bring in a pitcher. It was a cool song from the perspective of a ballpark. Right. If the if the stadium itself a lifeless stadium that we put so much love and passion into which is the same with oracle arena. Where to tell us it's favorite memories. That's what this song was. I felt as though the warriors did a pretty good job at attempting to do that last night. They did was throughout the game. And there was probably one a quarter. What they did was they had a sort of like vignette, and they went through different eras of it started in like the the early San Francisco warrior days when they came over from the cow palace. They were playing games sort of back and forth between the cow palace, and they got the arena up and running in the seventies. And then they've got the the Rick Barry era warriors. And it's basically these little vignettes that were narrated by Steve Kerr, and they all ended with a thank you oracle. Or this one's for you oracle or the emotion that they gave us then it rolled into one of the we believe it rolled into the down years that were tough the I like to call them the Todd fuller years. Dave, maybe the the Joe Smith days, the Calbert Cheaney days the Cliff Robinson days, if you're a warrior fan for generations, you know, which one I'm talking about and they roll right into the to. What is now? The we believe warriors. And it was fitting that last night and anybody who saw the game on TV. Saw that the warriors pretty specially. And I know Murph would hate this because Murph hates thinking about that era of of crisco hand warrior basketball for someone like me who that's really all. I can remember. I was too young really to remember the TMC warriors and even pretty young when Latrell Sprewell was choking PJ cartilage simple this era of thunder, thunder, the mascot that area of worrier basketball was much out at so for the guys for the for Steph curry to last night right is the games getting going? They all sort of pull off their warm ups and the crowd went bananas for it, dude. Steph sort of pump it up his his chest plate. That's got the Diana warriors across it looked cool having his shimmery thirty on the back. It looked cool seeing it looked weird actually CNN over five out there that said looney and not Davis. But it was kind of cool to have the warriors and the old. Do those commercials where it was like they used to. I remember like getting ready for school in fifth sixth seventh grade and you'd hear advertisements. Maybe. Right here can be our come see Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal take on your Golden State Warriors was like they were advertising the visiting teams coming in. It's a great time out the two thousand renovate the all star game here. I I was thinking last night session. I were thrown back and forth. And you know, she moved here not that long ago in the last five years, she moved to the United States. So she doesn't have the same feeling about oracle that a bunch of us do is when you were kids, but she was asking about my favorite moments that oracle arena. And I started thinking, you know, I saw my first concert at oracle. I started thinking about dude the Honey dip, the Vince Carter going put in his elbow in the rim. That was all there after the renovation of the like said the two thousand all star game. So there have been some great moments in that building that I'm sure we're going to continue to reflect on kmby, or if you've got some of your favorite warrior moments or favorite moments from in that. Building. I'd love to talk with would love to hear those at the celebration last night. I thought as I said was pretty good. So on the other side, we'll get into some of the Steve Kerr sound as well as some of the other stuff they did the Oakland symphony last night. I got to give it to them. That was probably the number one. It was classy. It was cool. And what they did was they have the symphony. I believe artist symphony did the national anthem, but they did sort of a John Williams type thing at halftime where the symphony came out. They played a big montage on the scoreboard in the symphony basically played along with it until you got to the era of the we are the champions era, and they broke right into a little Queen and Freddie Mercury somewhere the championship. It was cool, man. So we'll talk a little bit more about that. If you were out there last night, and you're up early with me edelweiss Cambier would love to hear from you. And what you thought of the celebration last night, some former players out there, which was great. And I'm going to hang out this morning, actually, Brian Murphy out today. So I'll be with you till ten o'clock, Paul McCaffrey buddy, Jo laflin coming in. But rick. Jerry gonna join us. He was out there last night. So you gonna wanna stay tuned to Camby are all day long. We'll do more warrior talk. We'll get right back into some San Francisco. Giants talk. There's no days off and right back into it, Madison. Bumgarner tonight and hey Padres getting hot right before they come to San Francisco brilliant. Dave fantastic fan fricking tastic more warrior coming up on the other side, the number one seed in the Western Conference on the sports leader wonderful Monday. Day. Make sure everybody's getting some resting snap day. Sees the leadoff spot. With Adam Copeland on KNB are six eighty sports leader better life with Dr Sanjay Gupta. "We are talking here on a soggy Saturday afternoon in New York from the warriors team hotel won't say where exactly that is. I will tell you that we are recording from within the confines of the room of Raymond Ridder warriors PR maven PR czar. I don't know what the best highlands for Raymond. This is them the best PR guy in the NBA because he's gotten the award as best PR guy for like, I think four of the last five years Raymond giving up his room for us to record the full forty eight. I believe that is uncharted territory in the history of this podcast, shutout the Raymond thanks man, Shaun Livingston than I have this discussion here are soggy Saturday afternoon between games against the New York teams. They blew up the Knicks last night at the garden. They've got the nets coming up Sunday. You'll be listening to this probably on Monday in that game will be long. Since over. But Sean, and I talked about a little bit about Friday night's game. Just because it was a weird night and a fun night. Durant drop in twenty five in the fourth to knock out the Knicks amid cheers from Knicks fans who were hoping to get Katie next summer we touch on that a little bit DeMarcus cousins getting ojected on a single tech while in street clothes that was a little strange. We definitely talked about that. And it's interesting the the developing relationship between Shaun Livingston and DeMarcus cousins, something we'd definitely discussed because cousins trying to come back from a really tough injury in the with the achilles Shaun Livingston. Of course, that's the story of his career was coming back from one of the most devastating knee injuries. We've ever seen on an NBA court. And so Shaun gives us a little insight about how he's been advising DeMarcus cousins in this process, and what cousins might bring to this team. Not just the skill set. But just a different element to the warriors. This is the whole thing with them. Now. Right. Every year are they staying engaged. Are they going to get bored is is winning three championships in four years? Just going to kind of lead to. The c word complacency. So we talk about all that we talk about how the warriors are keeping themselves sharp. What lessons did they learn from that series against the rockets going seven back in the spring or are they still carrying a little bit of that forward with them. How do they viewed this new team? That's kind of evolving down south with the Lakers LeBron being down there. Now, the the changes, of course, in the NBA are constant the warriors. We we all view as being kind of at the top with with no rival, but things changing around them quickly. And you know, they're paying attention. They're definitely tuned into the way the league is coming for them. So Sean, I touch on all of that fun. Really fun discussion Shawn's always been one of the most awful guys around the NBA another one of those guys you just look at them. And no, this guy's a future. Coach GM of a team you could easily see that. And when we talk about that as well. Of course, his former teammate Elton brand from the clippers that era of his career Elton brand now GM in Philly. I could see. Sean following that path nut too far down the road. But in the meantime, we're talking about the worst trying to three peat and all the challenges along the way before we get to that my weekly plug, please go to issue if you get a moment review us give us a rating one-star five stars one hundred stars. I don't know how many stars you can do give us as many stars. As if feel like give us some feedback. Always appreciate it. Thank you for listening. "How is drained gonna handle a navigate the questions that are gonna come as way in Steve Kerr at the tones act because he comes out and somebody goes, you know, do you Kevin talk about free agency this summer, and he goes, not not at all. And then he says, well, did you see the billboard incur goes? Well, Raymond Ridder the the PR czar of the warriors. He told me was cleaners weather's food. Knicks number thirty five. It was clear Weatherspoon. Sure. So he totally evaded joke of it. And everybody just kept rolling on durang gets out there. And first of all a lot of people thought Durant had left the gym. So the the New York media members going, are you kidding me? We we sat here for two and a half hours in Durant left. Families are furious nuts. And it's I mean that was the latest media Vail Bill the other seed in the league at least for practice. But yeah, they told me they were going to do that. So we're going to practice when we land. And I said, you know, what I'm gonna I'm going skip that one you guys are here for four days. We'll see it the game. Let me tell you didn't miss much which ties into okay? So durant. Appears they find her aunt and he comes out and he's being asked about what he thinks of the billboard. And he's like to be honest. I really don't care that stuff doesn't impress me. And he's asked about the state of the next and he's like, I don't pay attention really to that the main quote that first of all yes, he does. Well, exactly. He's he's just trying to downplay everything I and by that I mean Durant his attention to every team. He's a huge fan of the MBA. He knows exactly what the state of the nixes. And he's but he's saying speculation as part of the game. I thought that was interesting in that he said, you know, you guys have a job to do and his players whether we pay attention or not. And you know, he does, but whether you pay attention to not it's just part of something that you deal with as a superstar in the NBA. But the the biggest poll quota the whole session is he's talking about how the garden is is just a cool play ground with walls in every player. Zach loves playing at the garden. It is no matter how long the Knicks. It doesn't win guys show up on that stage. A different light turns on for him in in. We've seen it for years and years and years to rain is no different Steph. Curry is no different. But as far as the, yeah, I've come to New York for biggest is going to be coming off that injury those quotes, they never materialized. And and I'd say this. I haven't been around the words that long this season. But I I've talked to Duran about the topic of free agency I've talked to to dream on. And Steve Kerr, I've listened to a lot of people in the organization. I don't believe as we sit here at the end of October, the Kevin Durant knows where he's going to go. I don't think he's made any kind of decision. I think he's waiting to see how it all plays out in. We're gonna find out how they do this season if they can win another title, but I don't believe in my heart of hearts that right now today. He's decided yes, I'm going to stay in Golden State or Nope. I'm going to New York. I'm gonna go play for the next. I don't think his mind is made up. Do you think maybe he's waiting to see how Cristiano Felicio? Develops in Chicago. God see we're on this. Hi, hi. We're talking about Durant and curry sorry. And then you hit me with the the big Chris reference. I do think the porzingas thing is so interesting I've had this conversation with a thirty people around the league just randomly in the last three or four months like do end the question. I asked him is do you think not just Kevin Durant? But any star player? Do you think they need to see porzingus for twenty or twenty five games this year, or do you think that even if the Knicks sat on the whole year that they would just assume is long as they got good dribbles of Intel..
