"Was Raymond. Raymond. I'm Raymond. Yes. Anyway, the CBS took I gave him this list. And they said, we'll test it. And they do everything. They test. They put it in front of an audience. And they said, everybody loves Raymond tested better. And I was like, that's why we shouldn't do it. We should go the other way, right? But then he made that, I said, listen, it's going to be a top ten show. I was kind of just goofing around. This is going to be top ten. I'm going to have to live with that. And he said, if it's top ten, you can change it to whatever you want. And when it was top ten, that's exactly what he said. Well, we can't change it now. You're in Raymond. I'm Raven. Would not have had the same ring to it. Raymond's tree, family tree. Oh, they were horrible. Yeah, I couldn't think of anything. That kind of worked out. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I mean, I guess I am complaining, but I'm not complaining. All right, last one for you. True or false, it took 45 minutes every day to create your Brian grazer inspired hairdo on get shorty, but we see on the screen right there. That took 45 minutes every day for you. I don't know if it took that long. Okay. You know? It definitely took longer than to wash it out, but yeah, that was so that's your hair. That's it. They would just put all sorts of inspired by mister grazer, yeah. Yeah, I would have to keep whenever I saw him. I would have to tell him, I'm just doing the hair. It's not you. The character I play is not you, because the character was, you know, I don't think he was flattered by that character. Oh, yeah, but that's also Elmore Leonard, so it's a hack. That was fun, show, man. Thank you. That was great. You got a good Scorsese De Niro or Pesci story from the Irish man, like your favorite go to, ray. I mean, I imagine as a kid from queens. Yeah, so it was crazy. That you were in a Scorsese movie with those guys. Total surreal had to be. Yeah, I have two stories, and there may be long, but I don't know if you can edit it. We have a few minutes. They're not that long, actually. But the first one was my first scene with De Niro. First of all, just the fact that I'm in there is nuts, right? Yeah. Okay. And now, Martin Scorsese, I knew from vinyl, there was a show vinyl on HBO. Right, right. Right. So that's why he cast me in this. But he just cast me in this. Vinyl I had to audition. So he saw what I was going to do in vinyl. Okay. So the fact that he cast me in vinyl, well, he knows what I'm going to do because he's seen it. Now he's casting me in Irish man. I want you to play this role. So I'm terrified, because what if I don't, I don't know, what if he doesn't like what I'm doing with this character? Okay. So now on day two, I'm doing my first scene with De Niro and it's a pretty big scene. We're sitting across and I'm playing a lawyer. He's a young union guy. And yes, that's the scene right there. He's the scene. Yes. And we're going back and forth. And it takes, you know, it takes a long time to do a scene like that, like three, four hours, this side, that's this way. Yeah. And De Niro is a man of a few words, you know? Yes. And so the scene ends, I'm three, four hours, Scorsese right there. And listen, I don't need people to pat me on the back, but I think I needed it right there, you know? And nothing. I get nothing from Scorsese, nothing from De Niro. I go to my car the days over, I go to my car, I'm driving to the hotel and I call my wife and I'm like, I don't know, man. I really don't know. They didn't say anything. And she's like, just relax. And I'm really in turmoil now. Can I get fired from this? Maybe I don't know. I get to the hotel. We're checking in. It's a Long Island. I'm checking in and it's about two hours after we rap now. And all of a sudden I hear ray. And I look at it's De Niro. And I go, oh, hey, not a word. Walks over, grabs me, kisses me on the cheek, walks away. Now, you would think that's a good thing, but it is a mafia movie. What was it on the lips, right? We know that one of The Godfather. But I went to my room and I called

"And that led to everybody loves Raymond. Letterman produced my show. Worldwide pants. Yeah, will I pass? Sure. Yeah. But the first thing, yeah, I mean, was Johnny caution. I was about 6 years in the business when I got that. So what made you want to just do stand up to begin with or just a kid in Queens growing up? You made friends laugh and you figured. Yeah, kind of the funny guy wasn't, I wasn't the, there was a, there was a funniest guy in the neighborhood. It wasn't me. He always hear this story, too. He always hears the comedians say, I wasn't even the funniest dude in my neighborhood and was by far there was this other members. Do you remember his name? I do, John Oliver. John Oliver. Obviously. No, not that John Oliver. Different accent. Americans, American John on the queens John Oliver. Yeah, queen John Oliver. The funniest dude. And we started a little group and we put on sketches. This is when SAI live was starting, you know? So we started emulating them and we put on sketches for there was a teen club that every once every month, the teenagers were allowed to go into the basement of the church and they had ping Pong and knock hockey and knocking on a stage. And we decided, we decided to put on a sketch show when we wrote our own sketches, and that was my first taste of it. But then I didn't really, you know, so maybe I'll be an actor, I don't know. And then someone told me about an audition night at the improv, I was working at a gas station and I remember an old buddy pulled in and he said, he went to the audition night at the improv. I go, what's it like? He told me and I called up the club and they say you come down, you pick a number out of a hat for a Sunday of every month. You pick a number out of a hat and we give out 20 numbers. And if you're one of those 20, that's you go on that night. And I remember I brought a girl I knew from the neighborhood so we could both pick and I told her if you get a number and I don't, you know, they ask your name, tell them I wanted to give them an androgynous name, so I said, Jackie Roberts, give them Jackie Robin. And that's what happened. I went on as Jackie Roberts that night because she picked it, or I got a blank, and she picked it. You know, there's about 50 guys pulling for 20 numbers. And Jackie. And then, yeah, and then the owner of the club silver Friedman, she said, you know, if you get a call back, if they like it, you get a callback. I got a callback to come back next month. And so I had to go for the first couple months. I was Jackie Roberts.

Everybody who produces this show, everybody who's on it, you guys, the three of you greatly appreciate everybody for sticking with us as we move from peacock to the Roku channel. It's the first ever sports Emmy nomination for the Roku channel. Throw the plant. I told them, I honestly did tell the Roku channel executives when we were talking about moving the show that I am a professional flag planter. That's what I do for a living. I plant flags. And so I'm thrilled to be planting that flag for the Roku channel. And we thank our radio partners of Westwood one radio SiriusXM and Odyssey because the show when it's fully distributed as we are through your ear gate and through your eye gate to use phrases of my great lovely buddy who I look forward to seeing back on NFL network very soon, Michael Irvin would say he says gate igate and then through your heart. Well, it came out in 2022. I believe through the Tribeca Film Festival. It's hitting theaters coming on Friday. Heck of a cast raise in it, he directed it, he wrote it. Produced it as well. Sebastian maniscalco, Tony lobianco, for you old schoolers out there, Laurie Metcalf as well. Called somewhere in Queens available in theaters on Friday, April 21st. We got a clip. We've got celebrity true or false with ray. And Ray Romano, like me, afflicted. Fans of the New York Jets. That was a choice you guys made. It is a choice. Sorry, folks. As of now, as of this conversation, we are still waiting. On government, we're waiting. The government being Aaron Rodgers. Sorry folks. Aaron Rodgers is still not on the Jetson. We are still introducing this segment with the John Candy meme from family vacation. Sorry, folks. Still not on the jets. Why are we talking about it? Any more soul. Any more soul. Anymore. Joe Douglas actually was the first to give us a little bit of a earlier this week. He was at a private event, boomer esiason and his WFA and showed like a private man. I know it's what you guys want to do is get our fans in some spot, start drinking heavily and get newsmakers to say stuff that people aren't allowed to actually. But here's what they did. The newsmakers throw the red meat out to the fans and somebody records it on their phone. This is exactly why Chappelle wants everybody to take their phones and zip it up before he starts performing. We might do that at the Emmys this year. Lots of the Emmys are going to do to us. Zipper phones? Probably. Get hammered and say something. So Joe Douglas this week. Goes on a stage at a private event and boomer size and asks him the question we all want to know and he gave a response.

"Is there a Sandler movie that you don't necessarily love, but that you're like, this was a hard cut, it's an honorable mention. You know, you did mention the ridiculous 6 in the sweet hog. That's not it. Joke. I assume that's not it. Is there what's on the outside? What's an honorable mention for you? I think the last movie we should probably talk about is funny people. Which was on the cusp for me. That's from 2009. And that's an interesting piece of connective tissue. I'm mulling over what happens if he's not in punch drunk love, conundrum. Like if he's never seen as serious and funny people was the moment. Like he's playing himself, right? He's not his character is not Adam Sandler, but you're to understand that movie as being it's Adam Sandler, you know, reckoning over the wreckage he's caused in his personal life like making these dumb comedies and he hates himself. And it's like, it's very meta in that way. This movie actually is, I think, 6 hours long, like it's just a limited series. I remember being in the theater and being like, I'm enjoying this. This is a huge fucking law movie. You know, as a Judd, it's not top tier Judd Apatow for me, the funniest person in funny people by far is M and M. I rewatched the scene where Eminem yells at Ray Romano. Periodically. But I think this movie is an important piece of the puzzle of Adam Sandler as a more complicated figure as a possible dramatic actor. It's not his best movie. It's not his best performance, but I think that that did, you know, this is in the midst of the Judd Apatow sort of comedy revolution. And this is him, and I'm Sandler sort of showing that he can hang with Seth Rogen at all. And he can handle it. And I do think that this was important for him getting. I mean, pretty soon thereafter, he gets the Netflix, right? I think this was an important movie for him and the way people saw him. And it sort of re complicated him as this very goofy, lovable, beloved figure, but he also has this darkness or this sadness or this self loathing to him. And the other thing I keep coming back to is the fact that I do love so much that he is like a real-life family man. You know, and the stories about his daughters and about his wife in 100% fresh and that comedy special or part of why I love it so much and sort of mapping the fact that I know him I think I know him to be like this wonderful off camera person and I'm so glad that you confirmed that a little bit too. But mapping that onto funny people, you know, where he's alone, you know, and he basically tries to break up this family to get back with his ex-girlfriend or whatever the plot of that movie is. There's just a lot of complicating factors to that movie that makes it really fascinating and really important to sort of his filmography without ever quite working as a 9 hour movie..

"Did he just say that? But that's what their face is all said, almost exactly, but silently. They have no idea what to do at this point. Sharon Gilbert just told these creepy Christian men that her husband and possibly some other guy tried to do outfit stuff and it went super badly like really problematic. But she's not aware of that being the case. So they're just not along and hope for the best. Well, it worked. At least for me, it's the best. She continued. I said to other Derek, who are you? And he had the nerve to claim to be a xerxes. I love that moment. And we get to so often that that moment where the Christian host realizes that the accidentally just got a garden variety crazy person instead of a liar. It's fucking glorious because somewhere deep in that pained expression of theirs is this realization that they also can't tell the difference between their thing and mental illness so. They can't so yeah xerxes alien is trying to fuck her or something. So after she says xerxes, by the way, Sharon Gilbert looks over at the panel like she just tied it all together and it makes sense. You guys got it. And the camera pans over. And again, it's just blank stares of terror and confusion. And then there's a cut in the video I watch. I watch the clip from right wing watch. Absolutely not watching this entire like two hour episode of the Jim baker show. But based on how she comes back in, she told the story of this outfit stuff thing happening several times. So after the cut, she continues, this last time indicating that she told a bunch of these stories already, this last time, I knew he was really desperate again and she's talking about xerxes the king of Persia, just there. He was really desperate at this point. I asked him again, who are you? He told me the same answer. And I said, I'm not going with you. Finally, I said, I've had enough. I reached up. I grabbed his face and I said, you are a liar and Jesus is real. There's no indication that xerxes contradicted that at any point, but that's what she said whilst grabbing his face, whatever, continuing again. I pulled that face off and beneath it was a reptile and he had little creatures with him this time. What? He brought these little halfling creatures and they looked like, I don't know, gargoyles. So beneath that, the face of Derek was a reptilian serpentine creature probably similar to what was visiting the anasazi. What the brogue is happening. Her husband comes out as space is all banned. For the last time, those halflings are our kids Sharon. They're kids, and everybody looks creepy underneath their face. You ripped my face off. It was fucked up, man. So I'm sure everyone completely understood was happening there. But yeah, I wanna add a bit more context just to be clear about how it works on the gym baker show because this is the important thing. This is how they're evil. They're not just liars and crazy and stupid they're evil. They listen to this whole thing. The panelist listens to her whole story, still terrified and baffled at the end, obviously. But then Jim baker, there's a pause and he's just like, all right, well, this is why everyone needs to buy my DVD. Yes. The great delusion and it tells you all about how to understand alien stuff in the proper biblical paradigm that is very important. And then the panel guy next to him is like, yeah, lots of Christian people have to deal with aliens, of course. And if they haven't studied up with a DVD like this, they might get sexually abused. That's why this is important. And then this exact words. He says, this is really important stuff for our day to today as Christians on our day to today. Yeah. Now, you sometimes she got a deal with the fucking aliens xerxes trying to fuck you with his reptile face, yeah. Gargoyle cargo Wrangler you need to get the DVD. But yeah, only one easy payment of 9 99. And finally tonight in Nebraska's stupid question knows. It's time to check in once again with Nebraska preacher self proclaimed prophet and midway point between Ray Romano and Fred flintstone. Hank, Conan. Great. Yeah, you may remember Cunningham for repeatedly insisting that Trump was going to be reinstated as president any damn minute now or maybe for threatening to smite people who pointed out how wrong that was with leprosy or maybe you remember him from that time when he blamed school shootings on abortion demons. Well, he made it back on our radar this week with an impromptu mid sermon history lesson that was just about as accurate as his election prophecies and his leprosy. Threats. According to Kuna man, there's no such thing as separation of church and state because a number of preachers signed the Declaration of Independence. I mean, yeah, just to be clear, the number of preachers who signed the Declaration of Independence has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on how separate.

"You have to get him in an interview to see something. Funny like I wanna make those people more famous. I wanna give them more time. Because i think that poker needs new blood and we can't just keep relying on like. Oh yeah you're on. Tv two kids go and everyone cared more. Let's just keep feeding this to people. I think they're kind of tired of it. We need some new people are so okay as far as you're going to do the live streams with the delay or you're gonna gonna cut up and edit it at a couple months later. What are you all doing on that front so. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be live. I have to still talk to them. Because i know poker go on. Cbs or having a it's the kind of thing that annoys people sometimes need to switch from khokar. Go over to cbs way around. They've done in the past as well or kind bouncing back and forth or something coverage. I'm not exactly sure how the schedule is gonna look I'm really hoping it's up behind a paywall for most of it. Because i might make fogo maverick. That for fokker for casual poker fires and fans It's really good. Just how the content available i use. Ufc as an example. I'm a fan of ufc. But it's really hard to go okay. I'm going to pay like seventy dollars. So these fights tonight. I'm like i like it. It's not my favorite thing that you would probably rather go to movies than ten dollars like you can't put certain things paywall and try to grow the game. I could fight yell about poker. Go and what they do for hours on end how they just have wipe the internet straight clean of like just the coolest. Waso p hands in history. It i compare it to you. It would be like if you can't go on youtube. Been watching michael jordan dunk because the nba wiped it clean. You literally cannot go on youtube and see like the ray romano at the table straight. Flush first quads handed anymore. They've just wiped it clean and it's like how does that help grow the game whatsoever when it. You could only have to go behind a paywall to see poker today. How poker specifically live is just like create evergreen even background content. Yeah just to have an arm bar and you're just watching it. You don't need to be completely entangled in every single sent in hand and what's going on. Yes abbott on and there and if you need to may for it it's gonna stop agree and i think i don't want to trash rotating. I love more s. He's very open. He's opened discussing this. I don't think it set in stone. That things are always going to be taken off the internet or ryan paywall. We are in open discussions all the time about it. And i i think he's not hard headed or stubborn I think they're trying to figure out how to make their business model work. So i'm hopeful. I'm hopeful things will change a little bit on. They'll be less strict with people like using a minute of their content using a hand history and putting it in a log. There make you something. I think something's eventually changed with that. I'm hopeful at least But i'm not sure exactly how this world's gonna work if it's going to be like behind a paywall switch to cbs for free. I know in the past. It's been kind of funky like i want to clarify. I understand there are for profit. Business and people should pay for a good product and they have awesome products. Like all the high roller rolls. All that stuff great just in terms of like getting the account like struck down dmc eight or whatever because it's just like a coup poker hand..

And Robin was like I'm going to go get a seven up somewhere or something. And I went I was like, No, Robin, I'm like, Can you please not leave here? Because this man is staring at me and I'm a little uncomfortable. Don't leave me, please. It was one of those things. And then he kept looking and looking. I was like, Okay, this is this is definitely awkward. And then, like after about five minutes of him staring at me, Uh, he finally says you know what he goes? Hey, um I just wanted to let you know. And he goes. Hey, I look like Ray Romano. So I'm allowed to tell you this and he looks like Ray Romano did. He actually did look like Ray Romano? And then he goes. I just wanted to let you know that like you totally look like Penelope on criminal minds and I was like, Oh, my gosh. I was like, Are you serious? I was just here last night and at different person said The same exact thing to me, And so it was really, really weird. And is that the same woman? Well, so, like Abby and Penelope are different women on two different shows I was gonna say, Yeah, So Nancy said that I looked like a blend like a mixture of both of them. And then the Ray Romano look alike said that I looked like Penelope and so it's just Penelope was that it? Was that a compliment to you, too. Oh, yeah, I think that she is really so her. I will say that there's one picture here does similar. I mean, not all of these pictures again. I think your computer I honestly do. And I'm not saying that to butter you up. I only see one. "It was Ray romano coming in a must-win park and they'll make bill brooks christie spike in balls left at scene that was. That was the hardest. I've ever had the watch anything. I can't believe what i was watching there. I i still can't believe that happened. That's okay so yes you can blame boon for putting those players shouldn't be in those positions in those positions but it's also the players who should never allow those positions to happen right. The top of the rosser that need to play better right. His team is actually going to do anything. This year So but like. I said i mean i'm happy. I mean i'm not happy. I wish the team had a tag game division lead but where they could have been where they are over. The last two weeks is night and day. They still have a long ways to go. I mean they have to do well against seattle here. They they have to win five out of these seven games against seattle in kansas city. And then go to chicago in not swept. That's the goal here for the next ten days But continue to be on the bad teams what they have to do when they've put themselves in this position where they have to do that. There's there's no more fucking now there's no more owed tip your hat to this guy who has a fifteen already but you shut the yankees down for four innings the anymore lopez. Builder that basically that. That's exactly what happened boone. Said he he if you if you heard him speak after the game you would have thought that it was nineteen ninety-six greg maddux. They say so. That's dot can't believe you still listen to all the press conferences i do. It's it's the funniest it's it's the best. Tv show every night. Like when there's the thing i'm like. Oh my god three outs than i. You know i get. I get close up the house ready for bed. Get in bed put on that in. It's like ten minutes of just the funniest stuff you'll ever hear it's unbelievable. They need the to put themselves in a position when they go to oakland for four games at the end of the month. That split is totally fine. Yeah that's what i have before we go. I'll run through kansas city in seattle. I lumped together to win five at seven there. That's not unreasonable. Baltimore six games last at lost. The other night hurts but they have to win. Five at six The white sox. You just can't get swept you can't happen angels. Four games left as have that. Make up one game at home. When three out of four. The boston in tampa series are keeping. You have to win but all thriller series. You have to go forward to against boston to one against tampa. That's probably the hardest thing they have to do. Oakland you can go to into toronto lauren. Three cleveland to one nets to unwind. I mean they have to win all the series pretty much except for one if they want to get to ninety six in the window division and then the twins braves rangers nine games there. They have to win six or seven of those it. it's doable. it's not outrageous. It's just the put themselves like. I said in a position where you cannot have one one bad day or it's it's off. If that happens that would be a pretty stunning turnaround for a team. That's been wildly inconsistent to this point in the season so it all happened. I think it ends up being like a six eighty. Five win percentage since the all-star break which is the yankee teams have done things like that they've gone on runs like that but it's a good with this with no all his idea. Yankee started off vertically if you think back to what was it two thousand eighteen when the team won like eighteen nineteen like crazy shit like that. They need something like like right here with this thirteen game. Stretch like they went through against miami. They went to three gets baltimore now. Seattle now kansas city if they go like eleven to hear that does wonders for this pace and they can even screw up a couple more times down the stretch. But it's tough but it can happen. Hey i needed to happen. They if this team gets wildcard spot. It's like gets a second wildcard spot lose burnt coal and then he can't fish the game three or four. It was a waste of the season anyway but if the team is playing better at the end of the year and actually wins the wildcard game and then can is playing well into the first first round of the playoffs that i don't know we'll forget about it if they win. But you're right. If they lose because garrett cole had to pitch wildcard game then it's obviously. We're all going to be disappointed. All right. I know you got to wrap it up. Neal thanks so much for joining and everyone listening if something crazy happens tonight because we're recording before thursday's game. I'll be back on to talk about it all right. Thanks joey gallo with his signature. Yankee moment according to michael kay. He dropped the signature. Yankee moment with the three run home. Run in the seventh-inning to give the yankees the lead they held on dear life. They held on Chapman made interesting as he usually does. Wouldn't say he was hit hard by any means in the ninth inning He certainly maybe didn't have his control but Couple of weird fluky things and then the ball of the warning track at the end the yankees got the win. So obviously i'm recording after. I just do the podcast that you heard with. Neil thanks for coming on. He we had to cut it short a little bit so ended a little abruptly he He also just had a baby pretty recently. And i get to go. Go watch him so we had to wrap up fairly quickly but Again thanks for neo for coming on. Go check out his show kief to the city he does it Pretty regularly Covers all new york sports but Definitely yankees as well so they. They came back. they beat. they beat seattle a game as neilan our talking about these are the teams. You absolutely have to beat if the yankees are going to make the playoffs. I still think they're most realistic chance to. The playoffs is through the wildcard..

Please does your pulmonologist rave about your lung capacity or no. Yes you mentioned dr great. He's my favorite all my medical staff one story that we should put a bow on for the week because we have obsessed over it for those of you who are interested in the little sports media. Soap operas. i found the timing of a leak yesterday to be interesting before the game before there would be a result that would take leverage to the point that maria taylor may or may not sit out a game six on disney television right before the game was played that phoenix could have won and made that a series that ended in five games bang. There's a leak. She's close to going to nbc. And the reason. I thought the leak was interesting is just because okay. Espn here you go. It's on the doorstep with nbc. Let's see what your best offer is here before game. Six and see if you're star talent sits this out game six and then leaves the company because she doesn't like what your situation is on diversity and just leaves to further her career as the report comes out that she's on the doorstep of joining nbc. And i've heard from a couple of people now enough. Feel like it's strong. This ain't about money and if it's not because espn doesn't have the best offer. If all you care about is money nbc makes a lotta sense kind of do the same way. I don't really pay attention. To all the sports properties that they have. I know they're phasing out. Nbc as as a as a cable channel available. But they've got the olympics. They haven't really replaced. Bob costas as a pseudo host for everything. There is a nice piece of real estate for maria taylor. Totally dominate for nbc. My they have sunday night. football yet. Notre dame football notre dame football the olympics. His massive They're they're putting a bunch of sports exclusively on peacock yet. No they got a lot of property. Espn is really trying to keep her though. And what i'm telling you is we're now going to be faced with the game. Six scenario of she will tell you whether there's enough money in the world because everything that's happened has been to this leverage point. You never see this happen. Where a where. All disposable kenny mayne was offered a sixty one percent pay-cut. They're very few people that they are really trying to keep because we're all very disposable. They've realized the reason prices are dying is because he doesn't really have any real competitors anymore they don't have to worry about it and they can just say we've been overpaying for years we can get rid of all of you none of you manner except for a couple of you. But she's one that does she has made herself over the last eighteen months. Somebody that they're really trying to keep because they didn't try to keep burial. Hawaii tried to keep kenny mayne. You can really try to keep somebody. And what i'm telling you. She's about to make a decision that looks like looks like i don't know what's going to happen here at the final moments but looks like there's not enough. There's not enough money in the world given what's happened over the last twenty nine of the espn's money right. But that's what. I'm saying what i'm telling you is that. Espn is the most incentivized to pay her. The absolute best and disney plus has made a real killing disney is now running. Espn in away. That's much more hands on than it's been an. Espn plus is actually going up in price. The plan is to put more sports properties on that. Thankfully the bundles staying at the same price because of all the streaming services had subscribed to i use. Espn the lease right now. We probably shouldn't end on that note. What a personal story. Just e i use. Espn plus the least probably not well the way the algorithm works because of megaphone are hosting site is. The chances are higher than most that that is going to be directly followed by an advertisement for espn plus and the..

This is mostly an audio effort here like this but everyone knows the way that is moist traveled while he did bet really painted a vivid picture. Did thank you mike. I'm jealous about what. Billy i wish i could do that. I wish i could do any of that. I can't. I can't sleep on a plane. Sometimes i lift my feet off the ground the plane just because i feel like the you know the vibrations of just flying in this. This makes me uncomfortable. I'm not a good flier. I wish i could just fall asleep while i could sleep on the wing of a plane. Really yeah i really could. While it's in flight. I don't mean on the joe. These dangers reruns with these jokes. And it's just it's very frustrating night. Everybody waitresses it's eleven thirty seven. Am he said actually before flakes. We actually had some flake troubles on the way to tahoe. So on our connecting flight we actually ended up in a middle seat going from our connecting flight to tahoe and he had said previously that he'd sit on the wing of the plane before. Sit in the middle seat. But that didn't happen. did you offer. I'd rather i mean the the middle seat is the war. St were so my gosh. One of the many life lessons that i took from the die hard film franchises when i get on a plane. I just scratched my toes Across the carpet really centers. Me i'm just getting. I think people would take their shoes. I just wanted to say even though you know. It's the wheels coming down or going up. Does that you get nervous every single time. Stand that noise it haunts me. Greg do you sleep every flight. Because i feel like if you sleep the way that you described just for your head straight down. The middle seat should be reserved for sleepers right because the window seat is a waste if it's used by someone who sleeping in the aisle seat. You're kind of a burden if you're sleeping in the aisle so the middle seat is kind of like crime sleeping real estate. I would think. I love sleeping during a flight. I just do it you know. The alternative is to stay awake and be terrified so when i fall asleep in the ultimate relaxed state. You know it's like falling asleep saturday. Well chris schinkel Described bowling on. "Where you need to do. Need to go dammit. Very nice For of course code of being incompetent at the end here comes the giants the staff at a sit with. Y'all fit into the room mike trying to get in here. It is lovely. Though it's jewelled it is a bejeweled naval it is for the pm. Who needs me. Is engraved on the side of it. I go well my dad. I know eight feet long. It is very long. Yes eat way to house. Our names engraved in it. It has all our names engraved. There that's That's pretty special amazing. The starting point of this. I believe is greg. Cody said he wanted to be the president of the united states because he wanted a staff that is not the kind of staff he was talking about it. You don't have to be the president of the united states. In order to get a staff and then it became. How do we get him an actual staff so he could be the commissioner of his fantasy football league with a staff. But i think even average leaders are to be great leaders just by holding a staff i really do. It makes you a great leader just holding. This is fantastic. I want to thank whoever took the time and the effort to to mail this. It's I feel like it's empowering almost feel just holding it is like a cosmic energy. That's being a mute. Point great a lot of great leaders have had Assistance walking with walking staff. You're tired. i'm bout gandalf in literature. Moses from the bio. Donnie walsh. Limos wow i thought his was a wheelchair what it was funny name with brings the old guy with a deep voice from boys to men. I don't think. Mike you realize that your now old that when you make a donnie walsh rascals referenced voices amendment is is a pool. Let me tell you you know. He'd left boys to men because he wanted to feel fulfilled his lifelong dream of being an accountant. Why was that not covered. Why was covered in this pop. The netflix story of boys to men. Because i found. I did not know some of this stuff that was in this documentary about. It's the first episode of a series of episodes. The first two. I've seen are interesting. One is on the history of auto tune which was interesting and then it was the first one boys to men. I had no idea that they birth. Even their white people were stealing from black people when it came to music that backstreet boys and everyone else that they were stealing from boys demand. I did not know that boys demand went from popular cheesy and it was enormously popular. I did not know they were that popular. Number one hits across many many weeks. Not seen since elvis. But i did not know that. They went from popular cheesy at least in part because of how quickly music changed from. Hey the black guys are just wearing the same outfits and their adorable to here come to pocket and the rest of hip hop and they're going to change all of music and boy bands aren't going to be cool but they didn't actually cover an anyway. Why boys to men broke up and it seems to be a an incredibly sensitive topic and now it seems that they are just boys to men because they don't get along anymore it's just two men. It's maybe it's three of them but one of them didn't seem like he was comfortable with the other. I'm sure that they wanted to cover that. And this is pop episode. But they weren't really getting a lot of compliance from the active boys to men members and baritone voice with walking staff at quit. Certainly doesn't want to talk about the time. It was matt awkward when they tried to explore that space because boy cement shut down house the staff. Doing you're gonna take it home. You're gonna forget it. You just gonna leave it here. How's this going to work. I am genuinely concerned. Whether it's gonna fit in my car. Corvette doc if it in your car will not for that reason out the window for both men under your chin save. No no i well. I do. Have a removable roof but You know i just saw godzilla meets king kong and in that movie King kong has a stick like about this size and he throws it like a javelin and actually pierce pierces the cosmos millions of miles millions of miles. If i could do that and throw this all the way to my home. That'd be fantastic. He's talking about watching that movie. He did it on the flight. Back from tahoe. Of course my dad did something on that flight. That i've never seen anyone do. He watched movies for a lot of the flight and he fell asleep late in the flight. He slept through the landing. The plane like the brakes like her two minutes and he literally did not wake up for like three minutes after we had already been on the ground he just casually like opened his eyes like. Did i miss anything. That is insane. It's impressive full of times. It's always on the red eye from vegas coincidentally enough they don't wanna get off. There have been times where i just. Don't wanna get off that right. I just want to stay there sleeping. Especially when you're losing the casino you never wanna wake up again. And how many beers were you having with all that freedom who who keeps track here my wife put it on the poll at lebatardshow. Have you ever slept through an airplane landing. I mean the wheels hitting the ground. That's all of it. It's i don't know what your normal sleeping better are. But it seems like something that would jostle you awake. Maybe a very good pilot just lands on a feather. I announce minutes before you land like not leave. I told you. I sleep in the shower. I sleep during land. I can sleep on a bed of nails. I swear but now on my tapped you put your seat back..

"I also just wrote a movie and directed it We just finished. And we're editing it now. Um so that was that scare the hell out of me. Because i was the first time i ever did that. And it's a it's a drama filmed in queens new york But that's kinda. Yeah i mean look. I'm lucky i don't. I don't need to pick anything for the money now. I pick it if if it interests me. You know it gets me excited to do it. my wife has all the money. She needs Believe it or not And i get to i get to choose what i what i wanna do. And the drama or still something. I'm drawn to you know you know what's good about it as i don't know i don't know how good i am at it. You know i. I mean doing stand up doing comedy I kinda know i can do that. drama is still a challenge for me and i like it. Why it's like golf You know you're you're never you're never gonna get great at it but you just keep doing it. You keep trying to get better and sometimes you don't obviously when you answer question for us. That no longer has to be hypothetical. If chris cody had taken that moment that you scalded him with a golf ball and tried to extrapolate it into maximum gain for himself. And the show in that moment. Because you were vulnerable having hit him. What could he have done. And what more would have gotten from you in terms of interaction. If for example you had recognized that the one in a billion shot is you just hit somebody who's in your extended family. Well no offense i. I wouldn't have recognized them if he had said. I'm i'm christie's husband First of all. I wanna have remembered. Place chrissy oh that's okay. I don't know if you call a christian we. I remember calling them christie and corey. 'cause it was twins yeah So i wouldn't. I would have had a place that you know we would have had a moment. I would've i would've said something. Maybe maybe you know they were filming it so that would have been a cool thing for me to bring it up to the cameras you know i would've. I would've maybe said something to whoever was there. Whatever coverage we were getting and that might have got on. You know who knows. I might have gone on the broadcast. Because the odds of inner crazy. Yeah and You know maybe somebody sees him maybe maybe he gets an offer and maybe he doesn't have to work for you guys working with four sese. That's exactly right instead. He just said oh shit and then went into the bushes. Thank you question. I have a question. I have a question. I saw the thing on youtube. That you guys did with me leading up to their now. I i don't know if you wanna reveal this and i was that legit. Did you do that before. I had gotten to that whole or is that something. You guys did after it happened. Thousand percent legit. We just thought that you were going to walk by down the fairway and i'd be like oh family member like longing for you and that was the bit we had planned in the drilled. Me i thought all. I wonder if they did this after. Because it's such a great thing fell apart and then choked and he didn't give us the payoff of actually interacting with you. Just shuffle looking out for my man. Ray i don't wanna put him on a hot mike when he doesn't know i gotta watch out from a fam- well what would you have done hadn't hit you. Where are you going to come up and say so. I think as you walked down the fairway i just was going to like from twenty feet away like to my camera. Just be like ray. My family member like longing for you like that was on my family member. That doesn't everybody says that would not have worked. Chris is why we left the end. Goal the end game. Was you not leaving the interaction hating me. Did i succeed it. You gotta go. Yeah i felt bad for word about you. I go shit. That's that's two lawsuits in one day. Thank you ray. We appreciate the time and the content sir all right i appreciate it and i guess. See you somewhere down the road. Yeah right. you're never going to see him again. Like my daughter's wedding or something or something like that. I'll be there all right guys. Thanks man appreciate it thank you. Thank you lot donlevatar. Well charlie sent. Charlie had this charlie as far as i know. so just charlie's title. You can stay stugatz. "She's she was okay but you had to go to the hospital and You know. I sent her some stuff. I don't i don't have to spend you any stuff right kris. okay. I mean. He came on the show. I think that's all. Chris wanted right. She didn't have a show she's never show people everywhere. And we're all we're all hackers you know so it happens a lot out there but having the crappiest day of my lights out there that day and You know you were part of the cody mantra. I was having the opposite of a greeting card trying to say. I'm just wondering at any point or these like warning signs are going to catch the keep hospital. Huge ability inviting you back is the number of people you've hit with a scalding gulf. All you usually. I mean i guess i average look i hit to that day. I didn't hit anybody else that weekend. But i would say average one person. Each time i play in one of those things to at pebble beach to i've i've hit some people you know. I mean there's thousands of people there and we're we're we're not pros. You know i mean you look at that ti- box you must have seen some balls. Go into the crowd and people are not as bad as yours right. What what's that. Not as bad as yours. He said that was horrible. That was a that was an embarrassing shank but But look look at what happened from it. This glorious moment is show. A families reunited love is borne. How is it that you've not have. You developed an immunity to the shame involved with hitting one of the people who is there while a lot of people are watching you. Well look for well. You don't wanna hit somebody of course not but but the shame of just hitting a bad shot you listen. It sucks especially on tv Not that. I don't think that gone on tv. I don't think they aired that But the cameras are there But after you know you hit great shots on tv. Also so i. It's the good with the bad and after people know people aren't even phased by it because they know where we're not pros you know When i play in pebble it's the same thing you know. You're on the first tee box your nerves at high ask because these are people are going to be watching for the first time but after a while everybody knows We're gonna hit shitty cestari. Can i say that we're gonna to crappy shots you know We're gonna hit some good some back. I'm by the way. I don't know how good you guys think i am. But i'm like i'm like a thirteen fourteen handicap. So i'm gonna hit my share of of crappy shots and i'm gonna hit great shots too but Yeah i mean the the. The problem is my caddie. He's my best friend from new york. Does it every time for me And the crap. I get from him. You know he's the most you know mama. Your caddy is supposed to be factor. The guy this guy will rag on me things like i'll say I'll say can i hit. We'll be we'll be waiting in the fairway. Don't go can i hit now. And he's This is what he said he goes he goes you can hit. There's nobody in the water love. I don't wanna replace your caddy. But perhaps you know maybe yellow to a family member to let them done. Enough tag is technically a family member. A good that's a good debate right there. We should yeah. He wants a shame. Laura i guess is what is what it goes down to write down. He went to a little bit. He winced a little bit. When i introduced you and said that you were in love with a sex doll on made for love on. Hbo maxi didn't think that was a good way to introduce you. And i'm like ray probably is okay with that given that he took a part where he's in love with a sex doll. Yeah yeah i'm fine. I'm fine with. That's that's i mean it's not it's not. It's my character who is in love with sex doll. But that's that's the truth. That is the show. But you know it's there's is a deep connection there. It's not just a perverted love. There's a you know this guys kind of a sad lonely widower and he doesn't want to have a relationship. There's more to it actually. He's he's actually dying of cancer and he doesn't want to risk you know Having a relationship and with a real person so he seeks out this alternative and yeah. Yeah i'm fine with it. It pays they pay me a lot to have sex with that. That is a great sense. I i have sentence was going to be when i played pebble but no. It's they pay me a lot of sex with that doll. You look at your body of work because you did the irishman whenever you arrived in a place ray where you're doing something that artistically fulfils you the most because you're saying to yourself as you're doing it. I love the writing of this. The depth of the script. What like you just. Obviously you're doing something where you're trying to send us a message through the absurdity the comedic absurdity of being in love with a sex doll. Well i didn't write it. I didn't write that. But i after the sitcom What attracted me was doing something you know. I definitely didn't want to do that again. I got offered to that a lot. You know to do other sitcoms. And that would. I wasn't gonna go there. You know why i was gonna leave my sitcom legacy alone And i had no desire really and i. You know the doing something. A bit dramatic was scary but intriguing and It took a while it took a while for people to even want to cast me in anything like that I was little by little little baby steps. You know people had seen me. I a show called men of a certain age. I after and then i did parenthood and then i did a couple of movies. I did the big sick and And then i got lucky. 'cause i got somehow i got into scorsese's rolodex Show vinyl. I was i. Did this show vinyl on. Hbo which were sese directed And it's it's once once you're in his you know Once he likes you he uses you. He uses people over and over again and he just asked me to be in the irish. And you know. I got into that And now yeah so now. That's kind of what what i'm interested in doing. You know something. A little bit dramatic.

"Just seem to know shower. Just seemed to know ali. You would never you would never take a shower and then try to sleep for six more minutes. No i mean well. Okay so i have about eight hundred alarm set. Every morning. they go off about every three minutes and then i always hit snooze so then it goes down to every two minutes. So it's just a constant thing snooze news news and every minute or two an alarm going off of some sort and it's because i don't wanna get up i would never think let me get up. Let me wake up and then go back to sleep. Because then i'm not going to get up again. That is a dangerous game of setting the alarm. Like when i am doing this little poche nap. I'm like i have to set an alarm for in eleven minutes. And you're second guessing yourself on whether it's like you got the right time like when you're setting an alarm to make sure you've got the am pm right. It's a dangerous game because you don't want to wake up and all of a sudden it's noon. A smile just flashed across roy's face which is always worth talking about. Roy why are you smiling. Audie florida panthers have decided to buy out keith. Handles contracts and Here and Decided production studio put it on the poll at lebatardshow. Are you a snooze button person. Yes or that's a dangerous game. I was reading an article. If you hit the snooze button once you'll be exhausted the rest of the day like when that thing goes off the alarm you just gotta get up and attack the day. That's what i did. I mean every single carpet dumb. Yeah it's it's a killer to go back to sleep. The snooze button is the worst thing ever invented in my opinion What you have to do. I've mastered the art of dozing while showering Which is something that it's like a multitask thing you can. Actually you can actually sleep a little bit while standing up you go through the motions all of a sudden. It's your ten minutes into the shower. You've dozed off. You wake up. Your hair is washed your soaked. You did it while you shower. Slept is yeah right. it's true it's a thing i mean. Look it up. Google goule everything. Ray romano is with us now. He is a family member of that guy right there. Who's telling you to. Google was telling you to google whether or not you can does in the shower while standing up like an elephant. That is what ray romano's this is. His fan would appreciate that he's on. Hbo match right now. And i believe he's married to a sex doll. So i think made for love. He's gone yes he's gone. He's gone the away from the sitcom world and he is playing darker. And i imagine i always imagined that ray romano was actually darker and was just doing his sitcom because it was fun to do a sitcom but instead of just making those assumptions we welcome in in now and i don't know what the history is whether he actually knows or remembers that someone actually told him. Hey you hit a family member with that scalding golf ball. Are you aware. Ray romano of the damage you did with your tee shot and thank you for joining us. Well first of all yeah. Everybody told me I i mean. I'm not on social media but my kids are and my kids got a bunch of stuff from From i guess. Chris sent something to my door. Or did you send some to my daughter. I'm not sure. And greg right right but Stay away from them anyway but they told me right away and Actually my cousin told me that you were in the tournament a couple of days before he. He texted me. How your father. In law i guess right and Tell me that you were there and you would come over and say hello or something if you saw me But that didn't happen so i had to go to you. You sound incredibly bored by your family member. And i don't blame you because i know them and i i recognize the feeling you sound like you barely tolerating these people. No no no no. He should've said something. I read Coward i'm a coward way by the way i i don't know where i hit you with the ball was it in the in the i thought it was in the crotch. I thought i got you right in. The groin is my inner right thigh. Oh boy yeah. But i was okay. A little bruised. But we're good man. What was your level of shame ray. How often has this happened. You play in celebrity golf tournament. You're pretty good golfer. no. I'm not that good but here's the truth you are. You're the second person i hit at day but the other one was even more serious. The other one was a line. Drive off the tee and it hit a a a young kid in his twenties. Maybe in the in the shin. That's the worst part raider shirt on. So i'm sure he was. I'm sure he's tough. You know but it didn't you know he was okay and i took a picture with him but That was earlier that day. I hit as many people as i part that part two holes and by the way. I don't know if you know this. I parred that whole that. I hit you off. I got it on the green remember. I poked it out and then my caddie came and said that you kick the ball inadvertently. Sorry about that. Yeah yeah but so that we put the ball back where after i poked it out. He said no. No no no. He kicked the ball. So we put the ball back where it was. And i got it on the green and i made like a twenty five flopping down part number two of of the day for me and that was it But also three years ago. This is you know. I've been playing. That's my seventeen year playing in their thing three years ago. I put a woman in the hospital but it was like a nine iron and was about one hundred forty five yards. I kinda scolded a little bit and yelled for and she didn't get hit dead center in the forehead he's and i didn't even know. And then when we got up to the green. I heard people yelling saying Stay awake nancy. Say away on ground. Oh keeping awake. Yes and ended up..

"Spot cass friends. Before ray romano comes on with us one of the great choke jobs in the history of our show. Is you setting up for the audience. While in tahoe with your family that ray romano is sort of a relative that he is somebody that is distant in the family. But a part of your family you were going to speak to him. Introduce yourself to him and tahoe. He takes a tee shot. Hits it into your freckled pink thi- and while coming over and totally vulnerable. You could have had. A conversation. Could have gotten money from him in that spot. You come blackmailed him. You could have gotten certainly a conversation where he would have been heartily embracing your member of my family. You could have started a relationship with ray romano. Instead you just use linked into the bush. I could have gotten content for you is basically what you're saying. But in that moment. Dan i wasn't thinking about content. I was thinking about my family member. I'm mike up. He's walking over. He doesn't know miked up. There's a lot of people watching him. There's a lot of people kind of mocking him because he just hit a really embarrassing shot. A lot of. That's going through my head. And i was just and i panicked and i was like. I don't want our first interaction to be an on air. Gotcha kind of conversation. So i was just like you know what i'm going to be the coward. Dan's gonna hate me. But i'm just like so scared i don't want ray romano to come away from this hating me. So i- chicken. Your first interaction wasn't a conversation between you to your first interaction. was he hits you with a scalding. Also i did kind of have that to hang over. His head wasn't scalding. Though seed could have been really bad. It could have been my face that had hit. It could have been you know the you know where i make children. I plan to do that again. Hopefully if my wife's listening can we get two. Can we get on that leader station for different day. It is yes. Thank you billy for the clarification that we were talking about chris. Cody's weiner speaking of which before ray romano shows up here the shower conversation i promised. Is chris cody playing a dangerous game when he does blank. Because i have not heard people do this. I don't believe people do this. I can't believe that you do. I am new to the early morning shower. I used to be a night shower. But in recent i'd say months i've i've started showering the mornings and sometimes i'm tired so sometimes i get up and i take the shower and i realized you know what i've got to be there until blank o'clock i'm i gotta i feel like i got ten more minutes to take post shower. Lay back in bed and go to sleep a little nappy poo. Oh it is a dangerous game. I admit very but it's so nice to be able to like that. Little ten minute cushion. You just lay down. Does anyone else play this dangerous game. No no because it's dangerous. I mean once you're up you're up especially after you've showered that's it like you go attack day you don't way back down. What are you man. I mean i if you have like everyone we all have a time to be to work all right if you do the math with the traffic. It's just like sometimes you really tired usually happens on a monday. You guys know that. Monday feeling low monday. Nappy poo pole plays at lebatardshow. Do you know that monday feeling. Have you ever called it. A little nappy po and i also want to know the showering habits of our audience. Do you shower at night. Do you shower in the morning. Do you shower both or do you shower neither. How did showers always know what you need right. Because if you're gonna go to bed sometimes to take a quick shower before but it calms you down. Go right to sleep if you need to wake up in the morning and take a quick shower. Wakes you right up. Showers just seem to know Poll please showers just seem to know shower. Just seemed to know ali. You would never you would never take a shower and then try to sleep.

You don't know if you remember this work, but the one time he was sitting with us, and this is back while you're still in the old location down a pebble the first location we had, and we were sitting there and you were wrapping all about your Huey stuff, and I'm like, Yeah, but Murphy never forget this is also the same. A Look At The Latest Movies In Theaters

"Movies tonight's premiere a lot of really interesting movies premiering tonight including the latest in the terminator series in the first movie that James Cameron's been involved in in a bit joining us now to talk about terminator dark fate and a few others is sorry bunch Washington post center stage contributor and movie critic joining us here in the here who have program said bunch good to talk to you about friends here in Cleveland how are I'm great Bob I'm great it is it is kind of a weird weekend at the at the movies you've got you've got a couple of pseudo award hi quite releases coming out this weekend you've got motherless Brooklyn right which is the ad Norton new are about life in New York City in the in you know thanks Vera it it is that the the problem with this movie is that it is the features as Norton doing that very ed Norton the actor leaf thing you know if you've seen the trailer a hundred times and I have a you know that this is you know that this is going to be which he you know kind of should the shuddering map and then you also have which is the story of Harriet Tubman I let me see if I may so he let me ask you a bit more about motherless Brooklyn because I am an Edward Norton fan and I'm I mean going going back to the illusionist I mean it I mean virtually all of the twenty fifth hour is that the kind of thing you're talking about when you see a typical Edward Norton type of it is a very it's a very after the manner performance yeah he's doing he's doing if he played a character who has as a mental disorder if they it's kind of a rain man white hi situation and you know it it it depends on how much patience you have for that like I it again my my my big complaint here is that the movie is two and a half hours long and the this is the an ad that somebody with limited patient it's hard to do that and so and there's also Herriot which unfortunately I I miss that my my child had the flu so I was not able to get the the the press screening of that but I'm I'm pretty interested in it in part because it makes Hardman look like a walking talking poster for the the the second amendment as she's you know she she has the arm up there she can head back south and and free the slaves I I I I am looking for that I have not actually seen it's like yeah I can't say one way or the other if it is they recommend or not recommend other terminator dark fate is is the big movie out this week of opening wide on you know four thousand three and is the first James Cameron involves terminator then in the the second one then he turned right back yeah and it is also a direct sequel to teach here this is one thing that people are fans if if there are fans out there who have obsessively watched all of the terminator movies you know terminator three terminator salvation terminator Genisys that that there are Connor chronicle this kind of gets all of that the the the with all of that out of existence and it's just the straight world two terminator two which that's great news that's great news because I I'm one of those who skipped all of those sorry I I I I don't know why the genesis and the others did not grab me because I was a huge terminator fan of the first two and I missed all the rest so I kind of thought I can't go see this I will have missed so much so you're saying that matter does not matter if you if you've seen terminator wanted terminator two you're all caught up I think I think most people have just seen terminator one in terminator three honestly I I have a soft spot for I thought it was interesting and there's something kind of different with the with the with the franchise the terminator dark fate starters there were it features the return of Linda Hamilton affair Connor she is back in trying to save a a young girl who lived in Mexico for being a what being wiped out by the terminator that is kind of a mix of the the terminators from the first two movies that if the if gotta act endoskeleton you know the metal and a skeleton with the metal liquid liquid metal poly alloy him make a kind of separate itself the can in separate itself into two sermon acres wow it's not just one and can I come in gonna coming hello and thank you and also a defining this girl is at a argument human I play by mackenzie Davis who who is the is the interesting actress she was on the halt and catch fire the prestige internet TV are you know prestige SL on AMC about the the ride the use a mac whatever Bubba around the figure out so the bunch though about terminator dark fate is is at his age he doesn't look like in cannot be the terminator of the past what role does Arnold play in his terminator by a persona in this thing sure well I I I don't want to spoil too much but but Arnold is also back he he will be back he is back and he is playing a terminator that has that came back from from the past and have kind of that'll that'll down almost the he has he has a family and I I'm not joking not a joke you have a family and his family is a family of five plus I mean I I get was it too much okay bye I got too much it is it is interesting you know there's there's there's a whole gender studies dissertation the written about the evolution of the terminator through through the years you know the in the four and like the role of masculinity in society or something as in the first movie right he's just as big Bob naked that you'd write me right goes around killing people and you know he is very of what product any you know and then in the second movie he had you have to learn to feel any you know he he gave he did he get them humor and you get them on personality and then in this movie he is again almost domesticated and it's very strange to her watch he that play out on screen it's not bad exactly if it's just strange I don't know I mean but the problem with this movie is that it totally fine but nothing more than that and if you if you want to revisit this world and you want to do it with James Cameron I think you need something a little more than fine but I also don't know that there's there's that much more you can do with the terminator movies right if it's a movie about you know sending a robot back into the past to kill somebody who is important to humanity future and you can only do that so many times with the before before the well really run right right well yeah I I just I think it I I think you could I I I I can't I can't give us a strong recommend in the sense that I don't think it's a much the gotta you gotta get out there you're gonna be wowed by it but it's it's okay it's fine you won't hate it if if mediocre we're not gonna see Arnold on skis jumping over cage shark though you're here you're telling me it's it's it's a less okay I feel like that sounds may have jumped the shark when you told me there's a terminator family I don't know how that's going to play out they said the only ask you one other question also opening this weekend I'm AT and if you've seen it or not but I'm interested just because of the heavy weights involved deniro has taken on a break from bashing Donald Trump and decided to make a movie here with Pacino and with the ray Romano as well it's the Irishman the Jimmy Hoffa another Jimmy Hoffa a vehicle here any thoughts on that one well I actually see that this morning there's a press screening the hot so I I do not have any thought Jeff yeah I I I don't be is it actually out in theaters now is that I had seen the ingleses opens today now so that yeah yeah yes so it is it okay after this is a necklace release it is going to be playing limited in a few theaters around the country it is a and I I just looked it up it is playing in DC so I I see it in a couple hours I will let you get back and let everybody know how good it is next week I yeah but it is it is out in a limited run in theaters right now mostly landmark they think and then it's going to be on Netflix on I think the fifteenth but let me I I will I will I I saw I saw the promotion for the movie yesterday on I don't know if it was the today show for what it was but but I did see here in interview no one today but anyway I did see an interview with the three of them and you know anytime you see anytime you see deniro and Pacino get together on screen which they have done numerous times it's it's huge it's you know either the chemistry is always perfect and and and it's always it the question is about the story which you'll find out later this morning but I'm also curious to see whether or not Robert de Niro's brand has been damaged or diminished at all because of his you know is this political career now seems to be as important to him is that his acting career and some people love his you know outside interests bashing Donald Trump and some people really resent it'll be interesting to see how audiences respond yeah so it it's on that puts on November twenty seventh in theaters now it in a few theaters now Hampel theaters now and then they'll be on Netflix starting November twenty seventh you know it's interesting because I I it'll be it'll be hard to judge exactly what what the response to this movie is because Netflix doesn't release any actual data you know they they don't release box office data they don't release of the data who actually watch it the movie and how much of it so it's hard it's hard to say if audiences will you know will stay away from that new models sorry is this a new model big you're right I mean it's Netflix produced and I think I saw on exposures today it's a hundred sixty million dollar budget so it's a massive budget movie if I saw that correctly in its Netflix and they are going to put it on Netflix but it's going to have a limited run in theaters is that a new model I don't I don't recall that being a very common thing if it's Netflix for them to put it in the mix we asked for a while they do it they do it for the they do it for you know doctors even type movie the the awards contenders because in order to qualify for the Oscars you have to have a theatrical run in in at least New York and Los Angeles or you know one week or two weeks it if if the thing so they they expand that a little bit and do you know Chicago the others but it is it is not a it is not the standard necklace really followed not the first time they've done that they did that last year for Roma and some of their other movies ballad about their Scruggs and and a couple others and they've they've done it a couple times this year but it is it's very it's very strange because the because of the way they work the major theater chains that want to work with them they have to do the right in the route well I'll tell you what Sonny it's a really interesting mix there's terminator if you're a fan of the series of special the first to go to that one if you can stand two and a half hours of jittery go see motherless Brooklyn and we'll find out next week what you thought of the Irishman sunny bunch Washington Post movie critic thank you so
