"And he's he was their best pitcher all season long. I am still getting over that joke day. I'm just. I was confused at the start. I still am but all i know. Is that the end of this conversation. Robbie raise the guy and yes. I do agree with you. And obviously the front runner for the cy young award and somebody you know. I wanna talk in terms of the actual. Mlb somebody who really bypass caracul. Who maybe could have been the front runner at the time. During the midseason for the entirely surf the american league and all the sudden cole continued to kind of trend downward trend downward and then all of a sudden robbie ray kind of bypass them continued and he was on another level the entire year. So we've spoken about the top two free agents. You're going to see what happens a little bit of a side note. I don't know if you guys saw. But friend of the show. Dan shulman had prediction. Who and he came out and said his prediction was robbie. Ray and markelle simeon are gonna leave and then the jays bring in jose ramirez so obviously that is content for the off season. Just a little bit of sino but since we're bringing up pretty much the two top guys on this team this year at least in these categories kind of reminds me to remember ferrari while deservedly so for the cy young for us for the blue jays as well as the american league and there really is no debate. Everyone knows how good he was. Everyone knows the numbers and Yeah just it's not even close. I'm never going to be able to think of the word front runner again in the same way after that. I'm going to be scarred for life. But yeah i mean who knows what happens whether we resigned or not. But he's got to be the cy young winner the blue jays and in the american league. He you know hands down in my opinion. The cy young award winner Maybe a better question to ask and we can go around quickly talk about this. Who is the runner. Out for the cy young on the blue jays. Like if you had to pick the second best pitcher on the blue jays who are you picking as that guy. Because jacob you mentioned for rb raised out of the team you talk about alex manoa. You talked about jose burritos. Who's winning the cy young award if if If robbie ray is not on the team considering he was here a lot longer than somebody else it's gotta be I think minoa just considering the the fantastic season he added..

"And i think i'll stay. I'll stand by it. is the fact that robbie ray kind of turned things around once he became a blue jay at the end of two thousand twenty one so he came into this year someone on a higher note. Then what marcus simeon did. And that's why for me at comeback player of the year. Dinner it just for me. It doesn't suit him. And that's the way i looked at it from and i know it's crazy to say because all the sudden he's going to be the most likely going to be the cy young award winner but again he ended off two thousand and twenty a lot better than obviously what he started off because we know how ugly the numbers were in his final days with arizona and he comes over here and all the sudden you start working with pete walker. He's the first offseason edition last year. He comes back right pretty much a few weeks after the world series last year and then all of a sudden he continues at in two thousand twenty one and obviously vladimir grow juniors another good argument but for me. Just the the turnaround from arca simeon. What catches me especially someone over vladimir guerrero junior because a lot of me grow junior was never bad like he was always average and that was probably the thing that a lot of fans got frustrated with is that he wasn't at that elite level. That pretty much people were forecasting them to be when he was in the minor league level. But it's not like vladimir grow. Junior was bad he was putting up decent numbers. And you still getting on base. The time he was playing average and all the sudden. This journey takes off to the player that we thought he was going to be from the minor league days. But for me just nothing. Beats the turnaround from what marcus and went from a two thousand and twenty two two thousand and twenty one. Yeah i have to say honestly. Jacob you kinda convinced me. They're talking about tim beza but for me like i don't consider vladi as a comeback player of the year. Because i think he's more of a breakout player like he was never bad like you said and he was never good like he's not coming back to what he was. He was just average when he came up to the majors and he's finally living up expectations. So yeah. I don't consider him a comeback player of the year kind of the same with robbie ray. He was never amazing. He wasn't all star in two thousand seventeen. He did have good numbers but he was never who he. Was this season this past season. He was never at that kind of top. Cy young award level. So that's also why i don't totally consider him for the ward markelle simeon. Obviously amazing pick but to meza yet. It like jacob you mentioned is split after the kind of first few games of the season You look at his month of april phenomenal. didn't give up a single earned-run didn't even give up a run. Let alone earned. He didn't give that up until an outing. On may seventh against the astros gave up two runs then he just kind of as a stretch of horrible games. He gives up two runs to runs. Three runs to runs no runs for two outings. And then he gives up three runs in another outing to end off. Mesa just may was a horrible month. For tim mays but then he comes back started june if you look at his outings from june first onward he has an era of one point eight three and that's not a small sample size. That's thirty nine point..

"So this. Paper is called mothers re entry a relative contribution perspective of dual earner parents roles resources and outcomes and it was published in the academy management journal Very recently just came out. I believe it's a two twenty twenty one paper. And it's by laura little and courtney masterson and The paper basically takes a look at the importance of mothers being supported by their organizations. When they're coming back from attorney leave And one of the reasons that they focus on this time period and on mothers in particular is because after women. Leave the workforce to take maternity. Leave while it's a really nice break. from work responsibilities and allows them to focus holy. Or you know almost entirely on the family domain. It can be stressful. Figure out how then to reincorporate work into your life. Now that you've been spending time just focused on family. It can be stressful to anticipate what that returned to. Work is gonna look like and there are also some anticipated stressors that come from thinking through how your identity might play out. Were shift so there. Some research out there that looks at how pregnant women anticipate their identity shifts once they become working moms and that bat nine months of pregnancy is really a time period where people are thinking about. What's that gonna look like. And who am i and who do i wanna be. And how much do. I wanna put emphasis on on my work identity year my family identity or my mom identity in particular so there's some stressors that are introduced wall. Obviously it's a wonderful thing to have maternity leave and it's it's a fantastic resource and they're not arguing at all that that's not the keys. But when people are anticipating that reentry it can be a particularly stressful time. And so they're kind of honing in on that time period to take a look at how organizational support might play a role in affecting some of that

So this guy Yeah so really some good arguments here today. If you wanna learn how to make an argument for why your company should treat women returning back from eternity leave better. This might be a good one for you to give a listen to sad that we need arguments that it's not just common sense but i'm very still learn more. Yes totally agree and excited to share what they found because it's pretty straightforward. What they found or what they found support for. They tested a whole bunch of stuff. That i'm not going to get into but we'll talk about what they did find support for and it's pretty interesting. Cool well i'm excited. Yeah me too. But in the meantime. I know that you have some exciting news to share with our hive events. Yes so anybody that follows us on. Instagram will already know this but we adopted two kittens this weekend. "Same kind of theme right Understanding what's trending understanding your audience and what's happening Can can certainly make a big difference in how you operate on those social networks whether it's personally or you're a creator or you are a brand or business senior they're doing graph too so The keyword will be graded from one to one hundred which i also think really cool Just kind of display keyword popularity as well Just an interesting side. Here's forty percent of all. Us internet users between fifteen and twenty five. You snapchat from so it's a lot. It's i think it's often. A snapshot is often dismissed because people it may not use it nearly as much but in certain categories is thundering giant. Absolutely okay tread centers for other apps to like yup especially with what how talk has evolved ray kind was happening on snapchat first and then yeah and i remember like when snapchat came out with their stories feature and then instagram came out with. There's nobody really uses snapchat stories now. His instagram stories are so much better. Maybe just personal opinion. But no one stories on on the i i think it depends on the the demographic you might be just outside and that devil because i do think you know i know. There's their creators there with shows. That are monetize crazy too much. Younger audience So yes. I think it's i think it's one of these things where you understand that if you have that audience and where they are. That's where you need to be right like you can't we can't dictate as marketers are creators. How where we should be going right where your customers should be going or your community would be going. so all. he'd last but definitely not least youtube adding video chapter listings in search which could be a new seo consideration so this is a really interesting one in and close to my heart. I love seo. I think it's great. It's fun so this is what it's going to look like here now. This is interesting and important because The chapters have been searchable on youtube for a very long time but you can now clip and if you chapter is like we do with this on her youtube channel. It's a couple of things for your use number. One is incredibly easy to find content within a larger foreign piece of content. And you know how to videos. I just cringe when i have to watch for. Try to scan for five minutes before getting to the actual thing i need. You know But this is gonna pull it right into google search and you can see these the mobile views so there's a really good example here like tip one tip to three to four And you can get a really great..

Even two months ago son had a birthday this past week in turn four and we didn't do a party and i even You know ask a friend. Do you wanna go out and get dinner. You know bring cake and everything and even that was like not really right now because it's kinda bad right now but but again you know outside of pandemic and covet than than the other scenario is i have friends who live in florida and texas and talk throughout the week and regardless of covered we will always necessarily talk throughout the week not in person because of the distance there and i mean if being you wanted to enjoy anything together we going to get on applying nice if we just wanted to watch movies together one time. Something like face january. Two i can. I can see scenario. Where like with no irony. We watch a new apple. Tv movie at the same time official time zone. I about. I could see it happening like you know like they even announced this but i think they're going to rose feature into Fitness losses while down the road. So you could do like fitness. Possibly with friends and do at the same time. I think there's a lot of potential feature. They probably just hit bugs synchronizing. Multiple people are going to face time. It's probably quite go. mckay challenge. They just hit some bugs. They just well. We can't ship it for the point. Sarah push palo but it does. It does kind of sucks though. 'cause share play also includes three sharing. So have you just want to like share your screen face on that so so disabled. What becoming in the point zero. Unfortunately so tech support. I've faced which is definitely something. I do a lot. Want the simplified for awhile. Fellay less innovative. Yeah i mean it's just showing your camera showing the screen but unfortunately gone as well. They said it will be have chapel. You'll be ready and able to suffer later this year. So i guess fifteen point one fifty million faith with ray kind of dongfan other stuff the By the way the is technically is fifteen feature but what make for the point zero. You've got the idea. Id cowed staff. So supposedly you're going to replace your wallet by putting your driving licence in your wallet. Which was always kind of a pipe dream because which city or state is gonna join on. They spoke lobi about say poem shit. But i don't think it comes to any surprise that won't be that won't be available anytime soon. At least in the fifteen point zero release days at privacy reports the coming late to too. Didn't they say that the whole time though. Yeah yeah. yeah there's some of this stuff is just like Recapping what they kind of said from the beginning so privacy at privacy opposes like the equivalent of what you see when you browsing the web and you go and see all Like college insofar which tells you track in the websites a basically that wraps it shows which demands they contacting which and privacy sensitive serves using and calendar and photos and camera and gives you a little light rundown that i think on the current issue can get like a very technical expert ovitz. If you're like a researcher you can use to export like a waterfall of network activity but in terms of like something. That's deborah user facing has nice little girls and stuff. That's what i was delighted to. Future lace and customize cloud email domains rosanno coming launch. That's the thing if you use. I come myo which i think is like probably apples. West serve as an existence. I i wouldn't recommend abounding people do you. Don't have to use dot com address. If you wanna get mouth record mayo. You better use a custom one. But that's not coming initially and then this is wade right. Three d. navigation in carplay. So you know. They showed off those new mapping features in those select cities right now and that includes. If you've got a multi-storey road where you've got like bridges and the over the roads that go above each other well on fifteen on your phone render that in three days so you can mock see which paul of the road on an innovation. There's an assembly gay because you can actually see three version of it. Well that's that's shipping on the phone but that's no shipping as of call play until later in the yea. I just it just taking content off the understand why that's delight. I dunno it was intended to be late but everything else here is is you know was going to be released. Who eight nature receive in safety and living beings being close rate small and the scene was on on things being happy to see a day ill on an me so with leaving ray kind has was us guys and down with a down bounded paid standing. All he sees now from one should say israel connection is said to be i holding also views parakeet. Being free from offense is is so Mouse and also for fully become monster when novices in the and garrick is like countless people. Literally erica means imus what and And the idea is that at the time of the border at two thousand years ago it was a time where there was a lot more of spiritual sex and a homeless mendicant able just giving up arms food living in forests two foot of trees different kinds of religions and and so it was actually like part of the culture said a his in the west is kind of in the kind of a christian monks leading monastries. But the idea of having wondering ascetics is we know but it's kind of a new to us something very nice about to that that level of simplicity than among non for months. We just have the. If we're wondering we have the rugs that will wear we just have the ball arrays and And told not to worry about what we're gonna get tomorrow. Are we going to get through that going to get food. Our we're gonna get enough sleep or is it going to be raining. Oneida depends on the time of the year. You never know these things but the idea is if we take care of minds and then there's actually a teaching about the different types of laziness as if it's too early and you get up practice if it's too late practice if it's too hot practice if it's too cold practice feeding too much practice. If you haven't eaten enough practice is the mind. Always gonna tell you out to halt. I practice announced too late account. Practice is to co Practice the mind always. Has this kind of laziness these excuses stoppage for living at best and and making use of our pacino these and so when the buddha was encouraging the practice he said you know lack your hair. Your clothes were on fire. what would you do. You think you'd sit there and have a cup of tea for straw. Now you put the fire out Effortle your energy everything you got. You put that fire out right there. And so that's fact. The added voter told us to to think of spiritual practice would is like sound vega makers like spiritual agency that you know we think about this we think about sickness we think about these things and because when we think about them than it brings up the sense of agency that we done. When we're gonna die. We died when family members are gonna die when a house is gonna bend down. We done many things of what we do know is alive right now and we have the ability to practice and voted is different ways. Practice is too slow and painful way is faster. Painful way is to slow in happy way in this fast. Happy way and he said you know basically but welcomed the practice anyway. We want the only way that he recommends is faster than the happy way. So that means whenever were practicing got difficulties in our lives and things going the wrong way is because of attitude because we haven't yet understood had properly practice this you know when we react to things in a bad way than than we think. There's something wrong experience man. And so really stemming from this lacking in this viking leaving the stories of minds and surf we constantly believe negative stories in an minds and we're always pointing the finger outside of ourselves in Pointing back towards when we're gonna look in the mirror said who is that mind thinking that thought. Who isn't that sets. These boundaries makes these rules just iran. Old habits are tendencies the things that we haven't yet investigated and but to get the investigation it requires regular fm. It's not like a pot. Com job is a fulltime job so we can't just Back for five minutes and they never you know when we practice again for five minutes a week later that everything will continue from there but rather we have to like see. The practice says telling a friend the other night. Say you have your meditation every day but a twenty minute meditation that you do however much she do rather than just have that. Meditation had like a full round period and in that four hour period. He's gonna prepaid in mind. You say okay for every hour before hours before that meditation. Make sure that i'm mindful. Makes you have good thoughts gonna to make sure that you. I prepare him on for the meditation so then rather than just sitting down in dealing with the back wash of the day you have that period where it becomes more acadia sacred space space of in the quietness piece. That even though you may have things to do that you just gonna watch mind. And then that's site decaf preparing the soil for the meditation. In a time when we have this kind of attitude of developing. Mindfulness it makes our practice much easier. If if we just harping that we can let the on run. Mac and then i sit down and get a little bit of peace every time we meditate. It'll work very slow. Very slow path is not making use of our resources as psyche. A a if we have to memorize something or learning a piece of music. Something you have to have that regular practice. You have to have that inclination towards wanting to learn so. We don't want to do the meditation if we don't want to do practice than we're just kind of doing it to get a little bit of peace. We don't have the full kind of attitude yet and and cerrado and then the other difficulty Attached to results happens without people. When you start meditating really peaceful meditation guest. Enjoy coming up then you can. Now it's going to be like that. Every time i met said of course suffering says select. What will lead to do. Instead is to be a person who's just went to the coast is in what are the causes for practice or out of the is is for self discipline a humility respect for kindness gentleness patience and then when we build this causes when we come to meditate. It's it's much easier. We already have a sense of east place. We've been watching iran minds. We haven't been allowing that in a credit or that in a complaining to take over our mental states and then at this point of the basis for at present moment awareness for presence of mind to be truly present requires fullness of attention in at attention it needs to be level of interested in if there's not it's very spy prices like learning piano but you hated how how how quickly you gonna lead vienna every time either. You hate you teasha yet. Hate the piano and you hate the music pages a sex. Somebody doesn't have any interest in the have done. Have attitudes so. I wanna do is foster a in that we have to meditate all the time i was trying to expand my is not that you samson meditate for hours and erode the put four hours even who was just. Okay wants to now. I'm going to remind myself. Little mentioned aiding after that meditation be more present. Be kind be more patient or whatever it is that whatever is the antidote for app In a difficulties because we are aware of different says. Look what what is the main problems that mine has come up with a dementia and then the job is just can't wants to now for the four hours before meditation you could. All you gotta do is remember as you mentioned just that level of mindfulness at enough at sexually sexually quite a lot of mindfulness just to do that doesn't sound like much but it requires presence and then we kind of. We're putting a good program into brian psych. If we if we watch the news twenty four hours straight. Has i gonna be after that. You're to be good..

"Uh-huh and then The next one. Maybe not in. This is recognizable reasonable for who they are is versus other kind of interesting this all parage son legacy thing kind of going on here. Kind of serendipitous. I guess yes no way But Ray Burton who is the father of bassist Clifford. Who is a member of METALLICA? died when the they have their Their bus accident academia I think has passed away last week at the age of ninety four So when I mean METALLICA. Everyone talked about Talca several times last year especially but They were. They were a close knit family. That particular combination of guys that when clift died in that wreck it l it Obviously that has an effect on on people but Even though so you know obviously they had to move on career wise and get a new bassist and and all that They always kept ray. Kind of part of the METALLICA family and Ray would be and ray was very active in keeping cliff's memory alive So he would be he would be at shows he was at The Sim shows San Francisco last year. In the second night Johnson there were a couple of rows away from him. We could see him from where we were sitting. So so. That's a it's really. It's just really cool to see this. You know And all the METALLICA members if you go on there some of them have their own personal. Social Media's obvious but on the official METALLICA instagram They made post kind of coming just from the metallic a family but then each of the guys has also posted several pictures of them with ray throughout the years so multiple posts song on instagram. Giving them each an opportunity to talk. Talk about Ray in what he meant to them so that was really cool. It's just I find to see this guy who looks like he's somebody's grandfather. That should be you know maybe at the park watching his grandkids and great grandkids. Run around and play. But now he's heavy metal rock concerts Having Fun with the rest of us fritos predate cool.
