Fresh update on "ravens" discussed on The Rich Eisen Show

"Three months into the NFL season already. Wow, time flies. And here's a craziest thing, okay? Thursday, Thanksgiving football. There were three games, two of them featured both teams with 500 of better records, giants cowboys, Vikings hosting the Patriots, all four of those teams with records better than 500 going into the game. Sunday, week 12 Sunday of the season coming up here in a couple of days. game on this schedule that features both teams with 500 or better records. How crazy is that? The only game is the Tennessee Titans at 7 and three hosting the 6 and four Cincinnati Bengals. That's it. Every other game features at least one team that's under 500. Buccaneers browns, browns under 500. Dolphins hosting the Texans. You know who stinks? Bears jets, falcons commanders. That's close falcons are falcons are 5 and 6 commanders of 6 and 5. Panthers Broncos, terrible matchup ravens at the Jags, chargers cardinals, raiders, seahawks, rams, chiefs who thought the rams would be this bad, the three and 7. As Super Bowl defending champions, forty-niners hosting the saints and the packers at the eagles in the packers are crap. So there you have it. Literally one game on the schedule this Sunday features both teams with 500 or better records. That's crazy. But that kind of just highlights the underlying problem this year in the NFL. And that is pretty much most of the divisions in football stink. Okay? Stink. Start out in the AFC clearly the AFC east is far and away the best division in the AFC every single one of the four teams has a record above 500 every single one of the four teams has a point differential that's positive. There's no other division in football that can say that. That's pretty good, by the way. Bills, dolphins, jets patriots, okay? And before the season, we were talking about the AFC west with all the chiefs and the improved trumpers. I won't call him the Chargers. And the Broncos new coach and the Broncos with Russell Wilson and then the Raiders who the Raiders who made the playoffs last year, they were supposed to be improved. And all of them suck except for the chiefs. Right, they got themselves a number one receiver one of the best in football. Maybe the best in devonta Adams, and they stink. They have seen north, you know, the ravens and the Bengals, but the browns are supposed to be good. The Steelers are supposed to at least be half decent. That hasn't worked out. The south is utter trash. You have the Titans and pass the Titans, what colts stink. Jaguar stink, the Texans are vying for the first overall pick in the draft, and by the way, that lovely Smith press conference was golden, okay? Absolutely golden. When people are asking about like, well, nothing's working. Why aren't you making adjustments? And he's like, well, I'm not making them right now. I don't just make it to make them. Love you, Smith. He's like a great defensive mind. He's never been a very good head coach. Yes, he led the bears to a Super Bowl. I understand, but besides that one year, I just haven't been really good. It was terrible in college, right? I mean, I didn't think that was a great hire. And it's kind of coming out that it wasn't. The west as you mentioned literally just one team over 500. That's the chiefs. And if you're a charger fan, you start to wonder, are you gonna win anything with Brandon staley as a head coach? Or do you have to go in a different direction? Because there's no reason why that team's 5 and hive, you know, 5 and 5, and they just, you know, can't put together winning streaks. Justin Herbert's legit, you wonder is it the coach? And I will go with the coach. Broncos are a mess. There's no worse coach in the NFL than Nathaniel Hackett should have been fired already. Right? At some point, if you're the one family you spend $4.65 billion to buy that team, what's another like 20 million to pay them to go away? At some point you have to just say, look, we made a mistake, it was a dumb hire. It didn't work. And it's not even worth going the entire year to realize it was a bad hire. Like just go away, go in a different direction. And the Raiders are mind boggling because I don't know. Is it Josh McDaniels? Is he the reason why? Because I drank the Kool-Aid for Josh McDaniels. Yes, he was young when he went to Denver. He was arrogant. It didn't work out. But other coaches have had redemption stories after their first job not working out, right? Belichick is kind to turn it around from his Cleveland Brown stint, although if you look back now, an art hindsight is 2020, he actually was pretty good with the browns. He led them to the playoffs, and then there was like a 25 year drought of them going nowhere, right? So like Belichick probably wasn't the problem there. They probably should have kept him around. Yeah, absolutely. So I don't know. Is it Josh McDaniels and, you know, is this the second stint where you just realized, yeah, he's just nothing more than a guy that can do well with Belichick. Well, unfortunately, the readers can not get rid of them because they can't keep paying for ex coaches. How many are on the payroll right now? I think three? I don't know. Are they still paying art shell? Like what happens? Oh my God. Well, that's the thing. I mean, they're paying Gruden still, right? What 10 million a year or something?

Football Coach Chan Gailey's Hot Takes on Early Season Action

"Just start off with a general question. You know, we're 5 weeks in, roughly to the college season, four weeks into the pro season. What's your just sort of hot take right now? How do you see it coming out? What do you see the football so far? Well, I see that there's a lot of a lot more parity early in the season than I think people originally thought there might be. You know, in preseason, everybody wants to, they want to make their prognostications and they won't, then whoever they pick to go undefeated and win every game by 30. And that, you know, so when somebody that employed well, if Georgia don't be too tired out of somebody, then they don't think they're that good. If somebody beats a ton out of something. Oh, you wouldn't be talking about Missouri, would you? Now, come on just kidding. Well, let me catch state. But it's hard to win. It is hard to win. I don't care where you are. I mean, you take the process and the Baltimore Ravens have lost two games where they had pretty decent leads. I still think they're one of the best teams in the league, but they've lost a couple games. So it's just crazy how the beginning of the season and the end of the season comes at the end. I think you're going to see the cream rise to the top and I think we have a good idea of who the cream is at this point in time.

Joshua chaim swift emailed us listening to your segment about board games struck a chord before the event i used to enjoy playing games with people. I've tried online versions of say monopoly but find they suck a lot of the fun out of it by forcing you to adhere so strictly to the rules. We all have our own special house rule rules and we so i spent a few hours and wrote my own version which i can screen share in a group video chat as the basics. Such as pc's moving around the board in order the prices of the houses cetera. But it's designed to allow you to use your own monopoly money your own dice and if you like and be flexible enough to use any of your own house rules. I've only tested in a real game once and it worked well except i forgot to make an option to allow players to declare bankruptcy so sadly with deemed to play for an eternity. "Now it's time for all your wonderful feedback. And i up eric. Nancy mouth us. I wanted to give you my perspective on. Hp's new laptop and workstation geared towards day to science as a professional statistician and data scientists. I am certainly excited to see. Oem's begin targeting. This rapidly growing field. My only critique is how they have only included python as the language of choice. Where's the love for the our language. I have nothing against python atoll. But we're seeing more and more data. Scientists utilizing both are and python in different aspects of their workload and it would be nice to see how start recognizing the importance of having both readily available. The cutting edge algorithms in statistics are almost guaranteed to have a dedicated. Our package a now. It is much easier for art integrate with python to tap into tens of flow or other libraries. Perhaps i just need to be a bit louder to the oem vendors about this. Eric that's excellent feedback. And help you with that. I m. I have the option to speak to hp about this stuff and all them send them your feedback and we had several miles about what you've been up to since the event and i up joshua schachter emailed us. I enjoyed the section of the last poll. Cost the describe. What you've been up to during pandemic times when i get free times. I like listening to audio books. Podcasts i did want to make an oral recommendation. We are legion. We all bulb by dennis e taylor. It's the first of a fun future. Sifi trilogy that has tons of references. I think you'll like excellent. I will grab that. Because i'm just about to finish my current book so i look forward to listening to that as well thank you. Joshua chaim swift emailed us listening to your segment about board games struck a chord before the event i used to enjoy playing games with people. I've tried online versions of say monopoly but find they suck a lot of the fun out of it by forcing you to adhere so strictly to the rules. We all have our own special house rule rules and we so i spent a few hours on wrote my own version which i can screen share in a group video chat as the basics. But isn't that how ol- monopoly games go. Anyway this because this is not only playing games during the event but also developing something new. During the event excellent i approve yes and in forbes emailed us in episode thirty six. You asked us how people been filling their time after the event as in sweden. And if you come into my kitchen taught above all the The shelving the will the kitchen stuff goes in. There's just lines and lines of couple boxes Because i would way rather reuse existing covered kabul boxes and res the packaging then create something new. So that's that's my thing. Is i keep them. "Welinsk september building on the news of the novo's bringing their range of workstations Within two in june. Hp announced the z series workstations and mobile workstations are larussa going to start shipping with into on that completed the trio of the three Sort of top tier one. Oem's announced shipping up onto on their devices. Excellent yeah it's great to have more choice When you when you to buy laptop. There's all these little boutique people like the system. Seventy six and the tuxedo or that having big brand names that people know and recognize available directly from their website that you can order a machine with a bounty preinstalled gives a lot more confidence for two as well because people then okay. This is a legit thing companies. Selling it then. Yeah there's a lot of commentary about how you market desktop lennox and get more adoption. And i think this is this. This is how we do it. We got we get a boon to almost devices that people can easily purchase. because what is it your advertising. If it's not like go and get this thing here and away you go alan. You don't tober episode thousand nine talked about something super exciting. The area council Which i always want to say ooh. Yeah because that's how the title sequences there's Developer working on mainline accountable. For this device which it was an android console that very his failed in the you a lot of them were sold. It was a crowdfunding campaign. A lot them were sold and they weren't as popular as they could be been and there was some missteps but There's a lot of them out there and so developers working on getting over this in the mainline kernel so people can revive their little tiny device which sits next to the tv and allows us to play video games on the tv very easily. So i was very pleased to see that in october. Will you be installing lennox. Destroy on your your some point. Yes just i can mention it if we come back for another season. I mentioned i've on stolen off in october tiber. The windows calculator on lennox with no platform happened with another opportunity. This constant stream of these app development platforms in. Sdk's coming to lyrics and had little cheeky. Bit of promo for their development platform by bringing a windows calculates like experience to lennox and i found that quite fun a nice way to promote the use of their sdk and other way for people to build applications on their favorite. I still have an installed month to county later. I go very accelerated. Don't type about the new. Raspberry pi compute module four which has a new form factor and they also released an an example. I o board which it plugs into. Which i'm still hoping will lead to a new generation of rosary high-powered laptops using this module. Because i think allows a much more streamlined design of laptop based on the raspberry pi platform. Yeah i think that you know with the gig model in this model and what have you. The the time is ripe for somebody to come up with a genuine raspberry pi laptop for sure also. Pci connects us. kinda limits. What you do that you know may whether it's a gpu or something else on that bus could be super interesting. Yeah and that was it for the raspberry pi news. Martin no in november They announced the rose reply. Four hundred keyboard which i think is my device of the year. You know. look we've covered all of these raspberry pi announcements. They've been busy over the course of twenty twenty but i thought this was absolutely splendid. The the keyboard form factor yet really makes it super convenient have raspberry pi just on your desk in the corner and you can just pull it for and do stuff on it when you need. I love it. It's a great great device and the book that comes in the full. Kit is brilliant. If you've got kids and they're just getting into scratch and stuff. That book is just a treasure trove and finally martin some open to martinez. How could we know. Have a little boever been sumati in years the end of the year. So in late november The team announced that we had enabled the gp. Win max Mobile gaming laptop and official firmware is available from from the gp website and the oven to monte website. Great well listeners. What a good year. It was for news if we've missed out your favorite new story from the air. Why don't you know you could email show autobahn to post all wheels. Be reading your emails in between this year or next year. Or you can come and tell us in our telegram channel goto post org slash telegram. I know it's time for some gooey. Love and the last year we love of the year martin. What did you find. Well i found a thing called mango hard. I i mentioned earlier in the year. The i'd been playing cyberpunk twenty seventy seven on lenox and found a couple of other people that were doing. The same and one guy had one of these frame right time. Interval counters overlaid. And i was like ooh. How'd you do that. It's this thing called mango hard. So i thought i want i built it from source like animal and made it work and i thought this went so then found out that the debbie and gaming team had been preparing packaging. Full mango hud. So i took that and adopted it back today to open to publish the ppi. And i now have my games in steam automatically launch this overlay so i can see the power consumption of gpu. The temperature of the gpo and the cpu the frequency. They're running at. How many frames per second the frame rate intervals and all the rest of it. That's really good because my previous solution to this. I had an nvidia. Gpa was i would ssh into my steam box from another computer right and ran the nvidia to which output this to the to the commodity. Yeah does it work with any. Gp yes so might. The one in my ppa does so the one that the team of publishing doesn't have the invidia gpo enablement. I've enabled that in the the version of publishing might. Ppi on when it starts. you can just use shift. F twelve to tiny on and off so my have always start. And then i can turn it off when i don't want it to be. There doesn't lag the game or impact the game performance in any way notably. Not the i can measure now. And then when i i put some tweets out about this and then a bunch of people said oh what you need now is this thing could go away and overlay is a thing. That configures mango had to say what attribute she won't displayed. And what color and where you want them. So i've also prepared and packaged gopalan. Land is in the same. Ppa so you've got the the ui to configure a manage this thing muffling the show notes in the show notes to where you can get all of that stuff nice..

And i've been using if he is and there's been this backgrounds like crackle for a while and i couldn't pinpoint what it was. I thought he was cables crossing april something like that and also the incident in this room is fifty percent of what it should be. I pay for like hundred hundred ten meg or something. I get forty eight fifty something like that and when the kids are out one day i'm plug leads. The shuffle things around it turned out. It was the ethan at our device which has a through sock. It was plugged into a full wei. Fenghe and i moved. It says plugged directly in the wool magically. The audio problem goes away am i. Incident is now twice as fast. That's all the only thing that changed with me. Moving the internet over power socket three plugged in the wall. Suddenly everything's faster and better. Wow great well. "A bunch of desktops. So it were it was, you know, Grill milestone for me personally and professionally and this is now the distro that's going to be out there for the next five years, you know running on all manner of you know, laptops and workstations Allen. Yeah following on from that was a nice Community led a bunch of testing week that we talked about back in episode three, I think this year and the thing I loved about that was it was community-oriented. They didn't even have to ask permission. They didn't have to you know, get canonical approval to do this. It was just a bunch of community people who decided let's get together and get some testing of 2004 before it's released and they organized wage for all of the flavors and it really helps a lot more people were had more eyeballs on on 2004 than previous releases. So it was it was very welcome that people were doing it and he May Roam Shuttleworth did an interview with ZDNet where he spoke about canonical's finances possible initial public offering and going into some details about canonical's profitability, which is interesting because ZDNet did some looking into canonical's reports which they file which show is actually been a profitable company since 2018, which is really cool to see the way they talk about how it's not as profitable as redhat because you'd have to pay as much women too as you do Fred her but it's really cool to see it's actually, you know, financially self-sustaining now and there's a possible path to it going public but there's reasons for caution about especially given the the current situation in the world. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out in the coming years. Martin so later in may we announced the codename for our what was the urban to 2010 release and that code name was groovy gorilla and I'm very pleased that because I managed to convince Mark shuttleworth that that's the codename we should go with and and he he decided to go with it. So yeah, what's the what's the bucket list moment? There should also led to having gorilla based wallpapers and gorilla based t-shirts and stuff. But yet Grill is an iconic animal rather than some weird squirrel the animal that nobody have it scrolling teacher. Yes. Yes and jumping ahead to do now and yeah Lenovo made their entire workstation range of a.m. For brunch and obviously as a ThinkPad nerd this made me quite happy. And so this was a good news item for the middle of the year and I haven't actually bought one yet. I'm I'm still I thought These machines and thinking carefully about what my next laptop purchase will be. But the fact that you can buy Lenovo is now with Ubuntu pre-installed and available directly from their website page makes me very happy. So that was good to see that. Yeah, and it also marked that this year. We had more of an to certified certified devices than any previous year. So, you know way more prone to in the wild. It's great and melted. We had our first bit of good Raspberry Pi news in June. Yeah, the the Raspberry Pi for got serious when they released their 8gig bottle so long that was this has been a real Tipping Point. I think there's been so much more interesting in the Raspberry Pi because it now is fast and has plenty of ram. It's really quite unconstrained and I immediately went out and bought I think I bought about half a dozen, of course you did. Alan as part of my drum beat that I've been banging for a while about people should stop making distros and start making more applications I was pleased to see that flutter SDK came to Linux so people have another Avenue to either develop brand new applications or Port applications that are made available for other platforms like Windows and Mac they can bring to live it's a lot easier using flatter and so in July I was quite pleased to see that people have an additional Avenue through which to express themselves in app development my what a lot of good news and we've only got two August so Alan what did we find in August oh my gosh this was just amazing the national museum of computing most of them at all and obviously if it's difficult for you to get to the national museum of computing which it might be then a virtual tour is just as good because the way they done it in such a way that yep Virtually walk around the museum and zoom in on their exhibits and look at the posters on the wall and move from room to room and it was just so beautifully done that you could just walk Meander around a museum like you would in real life, but there was nobody to bump into and nobody to get in your way and nobody standing in front of the exhibits. You could just Meander around at your leisure and revisit a long time. So you can go back to that website now and have another look around the museum. It's fantastic. I loved it brilliant and shortly after we found that Jupiter broadcasting Friends of the show announced that they are independent. They threw off the shackles of their Corporate Offices to become an independent broadcasting network once again, and we wish them all the best and still continue to do so wage Martin what happened in September well in September building on the news of lenovo's bringing their range of workstations with a bun two in June HP announced there's E-Series wage. Workstations and mobile workstations are also going to start shipping with a band too and that completed the trio of the three sort of top-tier 100 EMS that are now all shipping a bundt cakes on their devices. Excellent. Yeah, it's great to have more choice for you know, when you when you want to buy a laptop, you know, there's all these little Boutique people like the system 76 and the tuxedo and all of that but having big brand names that people know and recognize available directly from their website that you can order a machine with a bunch of pre-installed gives a lot more confidence for a bun to as well cuz people then off okay. This is a legit thing if this company is selling it then you know, yeah, I like that there's a lot of commentary about you know, how do you Market desktop Linux and get more adoption and I think this is this this is how we do it after we get we get a bun two or more devices that people can easily purchase because what is it you're advertising if it's not like go and get this thing here and Away you go off. And in October episode 29 we talked about something super exciting really the consul which I always want to say. Yeah, because that's the title sequences. There's developer working on Main Line limits kernel support for this device, which it was an Android console that anybody Commerce failed off in the you know, a lot of them were sold. It was a crowdfunding campaign. A lot of them were sold and they weren't as popular as they could have been and there was some missteps but a lot of them out there and so developer was working on getting support for this in the mainline kernel so people can revive their little tiny device which sits next to the TV allows you to play video games on the TV very easily. So yeah, I was very pleased to see that in October. Will you be installing a Linux distro on your oh, yeah at some point. Yes, just so that I can make sure. If we come back for another season, I can imagine that I've installed like something like yeah, what else happened in October the windows calculator on Linux with wage that form happened with another opportunity seen it's just constant stream of these app development platforms and sdks coming to Linux and you know had a little cheeky bit of promo for the exact development platform by bringing a Windows calculator like experience to live acts and I found that quite fun nice way to promote the u e s d k and yet another way for people to build applications on their favorite desktop. I still have it installed as my default calculator and I got very excited in October about the New Jersey Pi computer module for which has a new form factor and they also released an an example I owe board which it plugs into which offers. Still hoping will lead to a new generation of raspberry high-powered laptops using this module because I think it allows a much sort of more streamlined design of laptop based on the rise in Palm platform. Yeah, I think that you know with the 8gig model in there and this then the 4gig model and what-have-you. The time is right before somebody to come up with a genuine Raspberry Pi laptop for sure. Also be there a PCI. Yeah connector. So it's kind of Limitless what you can do with that, you know Mayweather. It's a GPU or something else on that bus could be super interesting. Yeah wage and that wasn't it for the Raspberry Pi news Martin know in November. They announced their Raspberry Pi 400 keyboard, which I think is my device off of the year, you know, the lucky we've covered all of these Raspberry Pi announcements. They've been busy over the course of twenty twenty, but I thought this was absolutely Splendid the the keyboard fog Factor yeah, really makes it super convenient to have a Raspberry Pi just on your desk and in the corner and you can just pull it forward and do stuff on it when you need it. I love it. It's a great great choice and the book that comes in the full kit is brilliant if you've got, you know kids and they're just getting into scratch and stuff. That book is just a treasure Trove and finally Martin found some open to Marty news. How could we not have a little bit of a PIN to martinis at the end of the year? So in in late November the ability to mate team announced that we had enabled the GPD Win Mag Mobile gaming laptop and official firmware is available from from the GPD website and the ability not a website great. Well listeners off a good year. It was for news if we've missed out your favorite news story from the year. Why don't you let us know you could email show a tab under podcast. Org will still be reading your emails wage. In between this year and next year or you could come and tell us about in our telegram Channel go to a bunch of podcast. Org / Telegram. I know it's time for some gooey love and the last gooey Love Of The Year Martin. What did you find? Well, I found a thing called mango hard. I I mentioned earlier in the year that I'd been playing cyberpunk 2077 on Linux and I found a couple of other people that were doing the same found one guy heard put our one of these frame rate time interval counters overlaid and I was like, ooh, how do you do that? And it's this thing called mango head off. So I thought I want that and I built it from Source like an animal and made it work and I thought this when do so I then found out that the Debian gaming team had been preparing packaging for man. I had so I took that and adapted it and back ported it to a bun to and published it in a p p a and I now have my games in Steam automatically launch They say valet so I can see the power consumption of the GPU the temperature of the GPU and the CPU the frequency, they're running at how many frames per second the frame rate in rentals and all the rest of it. That's really good cuz my previous solution to this when I had an Nvidia GPU was I would SSH into my steam box from another computer right and wrong that Nvidia CLI tool which output this to the to the command. Yeah. Does it work with any GPU? Yes, there's so my the one in my PPA does. So the one that the Dead Sea my publishing doesn't have the Nvidia GPU enable member I've enabled that in the the version I publish in my p p a and when it starts you can just use shift F12 to turn it on and off so I have moved away start and then I can turn it off when I don't want it to be there. It doesn't lag the the game or impact the game performance in anyway, noticeably. Not that I can measure know and then when I woke Put some tweets out about this and then a bunch of people said, oh, well, what you need now is this thing called go valet and go valet is a thing that configures mango HUD say what attributes you want displayed a what color and where you want them. So I've also prepared and packaged to go over there and it's in the same PPA. So you've got the the UI to configure a managed this thing while I've links to the show note in the show notes to where you can get all of that good stuff nice and now it's time for all your wonderful feedback and 1st. Eric Nancy modus. I wanted to give you my perspective on hp's new laptop and workstation offerings geared towards data science as a professional statistician and data scientist. I am certainly excited to see oems begin targeting this rapidly growing field. My only critique is how they have only included python as the language of choice. Whereas the love for the our language. I have nothing against python at all. But we're seeing more and more data scientists, utilizing both R and python in different aspects of their workload and it would be nice to see Lem start recognizing the importance of having both readily available The Cutting Edge algorithms in statistics are almost guaranteed to have a dedicated our package and now it is much easier for our Toyota great with python to tap into tensorflow or other ml libraries, perhaps. I just need to be a bit louder to the OEM vendors about this. So Eric, that's excellent feedback and I'll help you with that. I am I have the opportunity to speak to HP about this stuff and I'll send them your feedback and we had several emails about what you've been up to since the event wage and first up Joshua Schechter emailed us. I enjoyed the section of the last the winter podcast that describe what you've been up to during pandemic times when I get free times. I like listening to audio books at home. Costs I did want to make an audible recommendation We Are Legion we are Bob by Dennis Taylor. It's the first of a fun future sci-fi Trilogy that has tons of references that I think you'll like excellent. I will grab that because I'm just about to finish my current book. So I look forward to listening to that as well. Thank you. Joshua James Swift emailed us listening to your cellphone about board games struck a chord before the event. I used to enjoy playing games with people. I've tried online versions of say Monopoly but find that they suck a lot of the fun out of it, forcing you to adhere so strictly to the rules where you all have our own special house rules rules, don't we so I spent a few hours and wrote my own version which I can screen share in a group video chat. It has the basics such as pieces moving around the board in order the prices of the houses etcetera, but it's designed to allow you to use your own Monopoly money your own name. Ice and if you like and be flexible enough to use any of your own house rules, I've only tested it in a real game once and it worked. Well, except I forgot to make an option to allow players to declare bankruptcy. So sadly we're doomed to play for an eternity but isn't that how all Monopoly games go? Anyway, I guess because this is not only playing games during the event but also developing something new during the event row. That's excellent. I approve. Yes and Ian Forbes emailed us in episode 36 you asked us how people would be feeling that time after the event as I'm in Sweden. "Some love and the last year we love of the year. Martin what did you find. Well i found a thing called mango hard. I i mentioned earlier in the year. The i'd been playing cyberpunk twenty seventy seven on lenox and found a couple of other people that were doing the same and one guy had one of these frayne right time interval counters overlaid and i was like ooh. How'd you do that. And it's this thing called mango hard. So i thought i want i built it from source like animal and made it work and i thought this went so i then found out that the debbie and gaming team had been preparing packaging for mango hud. So i took that and adopted him back today to open to publish the ppi. And i now have my games. In steam automatically launch. They save as so. I can see the power consumption of gpu the temperature of the gpo and the cpu the frequency. They're running at. How many frames per second the frame rate intervals and all the rest of it. That's really good because my previous solution to this. I had an nvidia. Gpa was i would ssh into my steam box from another computer right and ran the nvidia to which output this to the to the commodity. Yeah does it work with any. Gp yes so might the one in my ppi does so the one that the team of publishing doesn't have the invidia gpo enablement. I've enabled that in the the version of publishing might. Ppi on when it starts. you can just use shift. F twelve to tiny on and off so my have always start. And then i can turn it off when i don't want it to be. There doesn't lag the game or impact the game performance in any way notably. Not the i can measure now. And then when i i put some tweets out about this and then a bunch of people said oh what you need now is this thing could go away and go. Overlay is a thing. That configures mango had to say what attribute she won't displayed and what color away you want them. So i've also prepared and packaged gopalan. Land is in the same. Ppa so you've got the the ui to configure and manage this thing. Muffling the show notes in the show notes to where you can get all of that stuff. Nice a now. It's time for all your wonderful feedback. And i up eric. Nancy mouth us. I wanted to give you my perspective on..

"September welinsk september building on the news of the novo's bringing their range of workstations Within two in june hp announced z series workstations and mobile workstations are larussa going to start shipping with into on that completed the trio of the three sort of top tier one. For this device which it was an android console that any very his failed in the you a lot of them were sold. Bit of promo for their development platform by bringing a windows calculates like experience to lennox and i found that quite fun nice way to promote the use of their sdk and yet another way for people to build applications on their favorite. I still have an installed month to county later. i go very accelerated. Don't type about the new laws. Replay pi compute module four which has a new form factor and they also released an an example. That book is just a treasure trove. And finally martin some open to martinis. How could we know. Have a little boever bensimon. Ten years the end of the year. So in late november The team announced that we had enabled the gp. Win max Gaming laptop and official. Firmware is available from from the gp website and the oven to monte website. Great well listeners. What a good year. It was for news if we've missed out your favorite new story from the air. Why don't you know you could email show to post all wheels be reading your emails in between this year or next year. Or you can come and tell us in all telegram channel to of post org slash telegram. I know it's time for some gooey love and the last year we love of the year martin. What did you find well. I found a thing called mango hard. I i mentioned earlier in the year. The i'd been playing cyberpunk twenty seventy seven on lenox and found a couple of other people that were doing the same and one guy had one of these frame right time interval counters overlaid and i was like ooh. "Boon to pre installed and available directly from their website Makes me very happy so that was good to see that yeah. It was also marked that this year. We had more into certify to certify devices than any previous year so you know more in the wild is great unmelted. We had our first of good roles be pine using june. Yeah the The ross reply four got serious when they released that eight gig bottle so That was this has been a real tipping point. I think there's been so much more interesting in the rows reply because it now is fast and has plenty of ram. It's really quite unconstrained And i immediately went out and bought. I think i bought about half a dozen. Of course you did alan. I say as part of my drumbeat. That i've been paying for a while about people should stop making destroys and start making more applications. I was pleased to see that flutter sdk came to lennox so people have another avenue to either develop brand new applications or port applications that are made available for other platforms. Like windows and mac they can bring lennox a lot easier using flutter and so in july. I was quite pleased to see that people have an additional avenue through which to express themselves in app development. My what a lot of good news. And we've only got to august so alan. What did we find august. My gosh this was just amazing. The national museum of computing virtual tour. And obviously if it's difficult for you to get to the national museum of computing which it might be then virtual tories just as good because the way they've done it in such a way that you could virtually walk around the museum and zoom in on their exhibits and look at the posters on the wall and move from room to room and it was just so beautifully done that you could just meander around museum like he would in real life but there was nobody to bump into and nobody getting your way. Nobody standing in front of the exhibits. You could just meander around your leisure and revisit anytime so you can go back to that website now and have another look around the museum. It's fantastic. i love it. Brilliant and shortly after we found that jupiter broadcasting friends of the show announced that they are independent again. They threw off the shackles of their to become an independent broadcasting network once again and we wish them all the best and still continue to do say martin abandon september welinsk september building on the news of the novo's bringing their range of workstations With in june.
