Jo Ann Fawcett on Her Ex-Husband's Imprisonment, UFOs and Government Conspiracy

"Everybody and welcome back if you're just joining me today it's very interesting topic we're talking UFOs I have Joanne Fawcett as my guest and uh her last husband worked for the military and had first -hand knowledge of um working with aliens and uh yeah from other planets from our government and like I said you know I don't know anything is possible right I'm not gonna close my mind off to it you know I had a thought though when I was during the break um do you think that maybe somebody set your ex -husband up because he may have too much he may have too much information so it's you know what I'm saying so it's easy well he's in prison so I know he's gonna believe this guy right you know kind of thing well yeah and part of it was um he's what do I want to say he's he's he's a lone wolf or a lone ranger and he did tend to piss people off along the way yeah so yeah you know if you're in the habit of fighting the elite and new world order people who are trying to control everything and and they happen to be involved with this U of O stuff as well um when you make them mad they they can make you go away or you know I think he's too important to just have killed off even though I'm sure they've tried many times but um so to put him in prison you know they they thought yeah you know if we can get him out of the way then he can't really be fighting us or you know stopping us from doing what we're gonna do so I do I definitely and not everybody believes this but I definitely believe that they um either used this crime as a you know they use this crime as an excuse or as a way to get him out of their hair and it's worked very well he's been in prison almost 40 years so oh wow that is a long time yeah oh my god so all right so let's go back to the UFOs so you were talking about that one species that the government works with and that we have treaties and basically the treaty is we get they give us technology we allow them to take they kidnap humans in 1961 it was different facets of that conference one part of it there's going to be no open communication between civilians and aliens so that's why we don't see them showing up for tea yet okay parts of it was like do we sell them our spaceships are used spaceships for them to use how far can we allow them to go out into space can we continue kidnapping humans can we can we let them weaponize space will we let them defend space you know they're not they're not real I mean the humans leaders know where a lot of the aliens live the aliens don't necessarily like that because number one you mean the aliens that are here on earth live the aliens out in space don't necessarily want us pointing our telescope and saying look they live right there because we make a mess of things look at the planet we've made a mess of our own poor planet and there's so much trash out in space literally they really don't want us going out there and there's vast resources out there so you know they're already mining asteroids and moons and rings and stuff they don't want us fording in on their territory and their commerce so that's that's just one little thing but so the treaties have to do with different different things but you know I know many side treaties also because often you know here's the major treaty but maybe there's side treaties between that government and a specific alien species might be about technology and kidnapping you know quotas and stuff so it just depends because different different species have often worked with different governments you know it's just depending on who's going to make the best deal you know and what I've said before is like on the dark side is if you look at where major terrorism has happened or if certain wars have happened like Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq there's been a lot of UFO activity there and so often the military has to go in and under the disguise of a war is because you're really covering up dealing with alien stuff.

A highlight from Meet Chicago Northwest with Mario Farfan

"Army veteran Mario Farfan is the account executive of meek Chicago Northwest an organization that is bringing Conferences and meetings to the northwest Chicago suburbs coming up next on veteran on the move Welcome to veteran on the move if you're a veteran in transition an entrepreneur wannabe or someone still stuck in that Jop trying to escape this podcast is dedicated to your success And now your host Joe crane Service isn't just what Navy Federal Credit Union does It's who they are That's why Navy Federal created tools to help you earn and save more learn more at Navy federal org slash join Hey today, we're talking with army veteran Mario Farfan from meek Chicago Northwest Mario welcome to the show We're looking forward to hearing which good things you're doing up there in Chicagoland So before we talk about all that takes back to us what you did in the army Yeah, absolutely. Thank you, Joe. Thank you for inviting me here today Excited to be on your podcast to share my story a little bit So, uh, well, I joined our military right at the high school literally after the graduation party the next day I was in the car with the with the recruiter Headed to all the preparation and in the other paperwork administrative stuff. So that was 19 night August 1994 I ride the South Carolina for Jackson for basic training Awesome, and you're looking through your bio your parents were Guatemalan immigrants, right? Yes. Yes, they were going from Guatemala to Chicago I came here after a long wait a wait time back in the 70s and They started their their journey in Chicago in Chicago the west side of Chicago actually humble park And that's where I was born But then they ended up moving closer to the north side And I speak in street corners because I'm from that era in Chicago is something about Chicago I know you I know you from Kansas City you mentioned as we talked earlier So we grew up on Winnipeg and Broadway, which is essentially the north side. They call it Edgewater now Back in the in the early 80s a very different area there that it is now a lot of Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees And immigrants that came after the Vietnam War. I did not know this Obviously as I got older I went back and there's a digging around how I grew up Why was there so many, you know different ethnicities? So I yes, I grew up in Chicago border ways in Chicago, correct? Yes, and so Tell us a little bit about some of the things you did while you're in the army Yeah, so I was I chose my MLS was 94 Bravo back then I think it's changed 92 golf now, which is a cook essentially my thinking a 17 year old person getting Advice from many different people that weren't an army They were like Mario choose a job that it's gonna you know, not be too strenuous or dangerous So you're not gonna so I wasn't gonna be an infantry or Airborne Ranger. I knew that right away So I decided that you know, and I was interested in cooking my mother She you know love to cook so I said to myself it would be something interesting to venture in So I was a I was a cook in the military Definitely had a lot of friends because we were out in the field You know, we had the nice kitchen trailer set up with hot coffee and grill and all my military friends had to eat those MRE So they were like, hey Mario, you know, hook me up with something hot stuff like that So I definitely gained a lot of friends which was pretty cool because I started doing networking back then. I just didn't know it Yeah, great experience. So talk about your transition out of the army. Was it something you're expecting to come on quick? Were you prepared unprepared? I would say I was policy. I'm prepared to be honest So I got out on night 99. I was in Germany my last stop At the time so it was more of a pressure to stay in. That's what I remember the most It was a lot of fear a lot of you know, high pressure to stay in like what are you gonna do? So then life is not great You know stay here, you know, you can retire which I know many people do I know many people Friends that I have still they retired in Germany. They ended up just living to staying there, but my family at the time Was going through a struggle financially and I felt like I need to come home and just be back with them and support them as much as I could so I They gave me my paperwork and I was on my own. Basically. I got back to Chicago, which is very difficult right because Chicago Back, this is like 1999 2000. So just trying to you know, figure all of it out It's a lot right because it's benefits. There's paperwork. There's things that we just don't know about and I'll be honest the last Ten twenty years. I'm learning more and more, right? I Know too recently. There's just many benefits of veterans have that. We just don't know about especially when it comes to entrepreneur small business Something that I want to mention in in 2015 I started a Hispanic chamber out here in the suburbs and part of that was just thinking about how to look out for you know Hispanic business owners So now I'm thinking about better veteran business owners because I do run into them Hispanic or non -hispanic and they talk to me and say you know what? We we need better resources for our for our veteran business owners that are either starting a business On the middle of their business or just trying to figure out how to take their business to the next level So I'm always thinking about that. I'm always thinking about that. I am I am on me Chicago Northwest. That's my full -time job So so that that I'm able to incorporate it because I am I still continue to meet People from from that walk of life and as a veteran myself, I didn't have my own business, right? But If I had that information, who knows right 20 years ago Whatever 24 years ago who knows what would have happened to me when I came back, but I did what most veterans do I enrolled in college right away. It just tried to get out there in civilian life I began a 20 20 year career in banking. That's what I ended up doing so But so yes, I was a banker Assistant manager branch manager for 15 years and a regional manager up to a business banker So I did all facets of banking retail banking when it comes to helping small businesses and that's where I end in my career and and And then I decided to take a another a different Turn in my career into the what I'm doing now with me Chicago Northwest is you know working with us so still working with businesses right because associations nonprofits Diversity clubs sports clubs. Those are all businesses, right? So now all we do now in Chicago, Northwest we talk to them We we bring we try to invite them nationally, right or even internationally to the Northwest suburbs They come out and see what we have to offer so they can have the conferences the conventions or their meetings here. So That was a long answer. I know Back to what you said if I just one of five my transition If I had to rate it, I'll probably give it a one or two. It was it was it wasn't it was not great Yeah, it was not great. So sounds like you ultimately landed Well now I don't I'm not real familiar with the Chicago suburbs But is the Northwest Chicago suburbs primarily Hispanic or have a heavily Hispanic influence or I know she says something about you were targeting more Hispanic Since you're probably fluent in Spanish targeting the Spanish business network Yeah, great question so Chicago in itself state of Illinois itself has a large Hispanic population in itself city Chicago obviously is the largest city which is a heavy heavy Hispanic presence in the suburbs is starting to change, right? You have also an Asian presence Middle Eastern Indian presence, so it's starting to change very very a lot of Backgrounds and cultures Polish as well are out here in the suburbs It's all a mix but I would say definitely in the last 10 20 years the suburbs people have migrated Either to work out here in the suburbs to live out here go to school out here Public schools is a challenge, right? I I went to public schools. So hey, I made it I mean, I made it but it's not it's not easy Joe. I'll tell you that especially when I grew up in the 80s was definitely not easy, but So the answer to that would be yeah Yes, the the suburbs are being more diverse across not just Hispanic so the reason I started the Hispanic Chamber Joe because there's this Hispanic chamber in the city downtown on most people that live in the suburbs don't want to travel You know, it could be an hour for traffic an hour into the city just to go get resources and help So I figured why not have something here for them where they can go and get resources Find out about grants or how to start a business or get the paperwork in order So that's kind of how why I started to need I need that I saw in the suburbs in the middle Which wasn't there awesome? The kickoff of the holiday shopping season was a record breaker with Adobe Analytics figuring we spent more than 38 billion dollars over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend better than analysts expected. I do think that this holiday season is going to surprise, but not kind that of surprise. Candace Corlette, president of WSL Strategic Retail, doesn't see that kind of ending carrying through till the end of the year. We know that half of shoppers have less budget for holiday gifting than they did last year. She says retail's most desirable shoppers, Millennials and Gen Z, have other obligations now. Let's not forget the reintroduction of having to pay back your college loans. She says WSL surveys find that is making for an anxious holiday season. 77 percent of shoppers have financial anxiety. People are buying where there are discounts, but Corlette says they have to be good ones. Shoppers are on to the tricks. Joan Doniger, Bloomberg Radio. This is Bloomberg Business Week. "Keep something in mind. Come the holidays, what is it, in about two, three weeks, I won't be doing shows on FOX for several weeks. So, if you want to see these shows on a contemporary basis, on a real live basis, you'll want to watch the next couple of weekends, because after well, that, there's going to be reruns. That's with all of us. So, I want to encourage you, while you can, watch these shows Saturday night, Sunday night. I know you're going to love them. Keep listening to radio. I know you're going to love it. And I don't think anybody, and there are others who work very, very hard, I just don't think there's anybody who works any harder than I do to try bring and information to you, analysis. When we have guests here, it's not often. And of course, on the Fox program, where every show has about 1 hundred guests, I have two. Sometimes I'll have one. Life, liberty, and live in, on Fox, 8 p .m. Eastern Time, 5 p .m. Pacific, 7 p .m. Pacific. You live. Please don't miss it. If you're not sure, you're going to have this really great college game. Go ahead and set your DVR. That's what they're for. Record it. And same with Sunday night. 8 p .m. Eastern. You know, 60 minutes. Sometimes this Yellowstone show. And Sunday Night Football. And we're still number one, Mr. Producer, on all cable news. It's like this slide on radio, 6 to 9 p .m. Whenever there's sports, I'm up against it. Whether it's the Mets and the Yankees in New York, or you name it. The Evels, the Rangers. Again, this is just New York. I'm talking all over the country. And, of course, I'm not going to eat. Or Susie has a player, whatever. So I take these these slots where nobody else can or has succeeded. And we because we have a lot in common. Because I speak forthrightly. I don't play. That's why. And you listen forthrightly. You don't play games either. You're a tough crowd and that's great. My Tim Sumner sums it up. Rashida Tlaib, Democrat, Marxist, American hater, Jew hater, She just posted the images coming out of Gaza are horrific. Netanyahu has resumed. She hates Netanyahu like Scarborough. They have a lot in common those two. Netanyahu has resumed his genocidal bombing campaign. Now by the way, if Netanyahu wanted to do a genocidal bombing campaign, it'd be over already. You wouldn't even have to send the IDF in there. Be done. Be over. Thanks for watching. Thank you. See Palestine. Now of course she doesn't say that her side, the terrorist side, the never going to stop. She hasn't told her side, Obama the Nazi Iranian side in Tehran to stop attacking American soldiers. Has she? No. She doesn't say that. But my buddy Tim again. He posted an answer. En hamas. From the river to the C. I like that Mr. Biden. Now how can you say, I mean, Gaza Strip was Egyptian. So how do you end apartheid when it comes to the Gaza Strip? The Israelis say, let your people go. Egypt, open the gate. Let people go. Apartheid. This is something the radical South African governments come up with, which experienced horrendous apartheid for hundreds of years. And now they have used that phrase. It started about 20 years ago. They've used that phrase against Israel. It's an apartheid regime. It's been picked up by the Hamas network. It's been picked up by the Soros networks. It's been picked up by all the radical leftist entities. And regurgitated. Now permanent cease fire, isn't that strange? What does that mean? Does that mean Hamas is going to stop raping and killing and maiming? It's going to stop having little babies in ovens and decapitating them? Is that what that means? No. It means Israel surrenders and Israel continues to be victimized in horrific ways. That's what it means. So Rashida Tlaib remains in Congress and this guy Santos is out. Tell me, which is a greater threat to the American people? Greater threat to liberty. To humanity. This guy Santos, who sounds like and looks like a Rashida Tlaib, a special pleader for Middle East terrorists. Oh yeah, I said it and I mean it and I can prove it. Which is a greater threat? And by the way, the hypocrisy of the Democrats in the media. This guy Santos. Look, I don't know anything about this guy. I don't give a damn about him. That's not the point. But there's Menendez sitting in the U .S. Senate. An armless long of indictments. And for all I know, he's innocent. I don't know. Guy's got gold bars in his home saved to him. Egyptians and others. Doesn't that happen with everybody, Mr. Producer? But that said, you don't even wait for somebody to be Spalvan? I would have voted no to expulsion. No. Because these dummies in Congress have now lowered the bar. We're a representative of a particular community, a representative of people can now be expelled if they get a bad ethics committee report, or if they're charged by the United States government. Which I don't even trust anymore, quite frankly, in so many ways. Santos. There's Menendez. Notice the Democrats, they will never push Menendez out. Not until they replace him. They need that vote. Then you have all these rhinos. They want to show you how righteous they are. We're going to get Santos out. What about the...he's not convinced? That doesn't matter. Look at that figure, he lied, he did this. I know, but he has to be not waiting for that. They're all a bunch of candyasses because the truth is they're worried about their own rights. They want to be able to go home, particularly some of these New York Republics. You see, I stood up this. to I stood up to my own party. And you know what that's going to get you? Nothing. Defeated. him. Defeated. Stupid. The people who voted against us aren't defending Santos. They're defending due process. They're defending the institution of Congress. But it doesn't matter anymore. Wait until you hear about little Dick Durbin. I'm going to get to him in a little bit how he's destroying the judiciary, how he's using Stalinist tactics. This guy is sinister. Contemptable. But aren't they all? In fact, let me get to that now. See if I can find that very important. What's been taking place? Let me see here. Oh, here we are. The Senate Judiciary Committee. I'm Rohan Nagani, joined today by the former host of the Open Floor Podcast. He's a senior staff writer at the ringer, Michael, the pod, Pina, Mike, how's it going? I am doing terrific, Rohan. How are you? Pretty good. Um, you know, just trying to suss out what you got going on in the background there. Mike's got a blurred background for the first time in the history of all our podcasts. Um, I can only imagine what you're hiding. I explained this to you before we started recording. I did not make my bed. It's a messy bed in the background. That's the only reason I didn't want to keep you, you know, waiting before we started recording. I know you're a busy guy. You woke up immediately before the podcast. Um, all right, Mike, I just want to run through basically as many teams as possible today. I know you're watching as many games as you can, and I want to hit as many teams as we can, but I'm going to just, I'm going to throw them at you in the form of some buyer cells. If that works for you. And we're going to start in the Eastern Conference. Um, just, just, we're going to rip hot right off the jump here. All right, Mike, buy or sell. The Sixers are currently the best team in the East. Like currently? Like today? As of this moment, I'm not talking about record. I'm not talking about any of that. I'm just, just vibes, feels, talent, et cetera. Uh, yeah, I, I'm, I'd have to buy, I, I would have to buy. They're playing great. They just beat the Celtics who technically have a higher net rating, but you know, that game could have gone either way, et cetera. Cut it off. It's a, hey, Kirstaps Porzingis wide open three with five seconds to go. It was also like a 13 point game with two minutes left and it took like a very, I said, I'm buying. I said, I'm buying. But then you immediately started caveating it very quickly. I'm buying, um, I bought it very skeptically. I love, uh, I think Nick Nurse's impact is pretty transparent to anyone who's watched this team play their offense, ball movement, pace, all that sort of stuff. Tyrese Maxey looks really good. One player of the week in the opening week of this year, player of the month, whatever player of the week. I don't even know. Whatever. He's been really awesome, um, averaging just all star numbers and efficient shooting splits and he looks really great. He is him, Luca and Jokic are the only guys I think at like 25, five and five right now are 27 something crazy. It's just those three guys. I got to look up what it is. Didn't know that. That's very impressive.

A highlight from Unveiling the Allure of PK Lures with Curt Reeff

"Fish on! Hey, Radcast is on! And welcome to the show, Mr. Jim Zumbo. Gentlemen, I am pleased to be here and I use that term loosely when I say gentlemen. Al Winder. Just want to welcome you to the show. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to hang out with us on a podcast for a little bit. Hey, I'm looking forward to it. Nothing makes me happier than you'd be talking about. Hailing from Wisconsin, Janna Waller. Thanks so much for having me. It's Radcast. Hunting, fishing, and everything in between. Powered by Bowspider. Brought to you by PK Lures and High Mountain Seasonings. And now, here's your hosts, Patrick Edwards and David Merrow. Welcome to another episode of Radcast Outdoors. I'm one of your hosts, Patrick Edwards. And I'm David Merrow. It's good to be back in the studio and today we're because we get to have one of our sponsors on the show technically too because you're here as well. We get to have one of our sponsors on the show and of course one of my favorites just because I love the fishing side so much. So, Curt Reef, owner of PK Lures, welcome to the podcast, man. Hey, guys. It's always exciting to follow what PK Lures is doing because they're always innovating. Pat O 'Grady and the team that Curt has, they're always coming up with ideas and they're testing out things to help you catch more and bigger fish, which is one of the reasons I use PKs all the time. I'm a bigger fly fisherman. I always have been ever since I was young, but I have no problem picking up a rod and reel. I have no problem putting on bait. I have no problem grabbing a rifle when it's rifle season even though I'm a bow hunter, right? I don't discriminate. However, there's a couple rivers here in Wyoming that I tried fly fishing and tried fly fishing and asked the locals and asked the guides and asked the shops and got the flies and beat that water up and Patrick takes me down there and we throw a PK on and I'm killing some big trout, big fish, and having a blast doing it. He's working on converting me to typically the rod and reel and the fly rod now are always in the truck. And they're both great, but it is really cool. PK is always doing some cool stuff and I have a long history with PK, but still I got to say one of my favorites is the flutter fish. I catch fish everywhere on that thing. And guys ask me, me personally, friends, listeners of the show, and they, specifically the other two sponsors, which is High Mountain Seasoning and PK, they're like, you're paid to use it. You're paid to talk about it. You really like it. I'm like, I've told them several times. If I wasn't affiliated with him, I'd be using High Mountain Seasoning and just seeing the difference in putting any PK on, especially the Red Dot Glow, wherever we go, charge that thing up with a flashlight and catch some walleye at night. It's a blast. Yeah, exactly. So Kurt, it's really cool to have you on the show. Thanks again for sponsoring the show. We certainly love our PKs and we're using them quite often because we like to get out on the water. We're transitioning into that hard water season and PK has been known for a long time for the ice fishing gear. And so I was just wanting to have you on to talk about what's new and what's coming. But first, I think it's really cool for our audience to get to know you a little bit. So Kurt, tell us a little bit about where you're from and how you got into fishing. Yeah, I don't know. I'm a redneck country guy from North Dakota. I don't like being indoors. I got to be outside. That's what got me into this stuff. I graduated from this area. I'm out of Lytton, North Dakota. We're just north of the South Dakota state line. We are located on the waters of Lake Oahe. It's the heart of the Missouri River. It goes from down to the Mississippi. There's Lake Oahe, Lake Francis, Lake Sharp that all look up to it. We fish a lot of like structure, a little bit of everything. And right now there's still a good live bait like going on. These fish that we are targeting right now on the Lake Oahe portion are starting their fall migration from south of Mole Ridge down by Akaska, here in South Dakota. They start to transition to move up north around this mark where they're going to spawn next spring. We just did a big fishing tournament here on the Missouri called the Big Muddy. That was about two weeks ago. From then until now fishing has changed. There's been a good bite around the River Bay here. This last week there's been a ton of boats out. People are getting out. I'm looking to get down next Monday just to test out some different stuff and see what's going on. But if these fish keep migrating north, ice fish should be great. But yeah, I've got a construction business on the side that we do roofing gutters and siding. And as I spend my winters off, that's what got me going into PK. I met Pat here a couple of years ago. We took him up to Lake Whip and I was looking to do something as an investment I wanted to do. I had some ideas I to wanted do. And I ran him by Pat. I'm looking at maybe getting out of there. So we worked out a deal within a week or two. I basically bought the company. But from then PK started in 2009. Pat did a great job with it. He didn't have a lot of social media, internet skills. It was all basically word of mouth. Whatever he did, it was just word of mouth. I got into it and I'm not much better than Pat. I don't know a whole lot about computers and stuff, but we've been just testing out some new stuff. We started that ice fishing company. I fished the National Walleye tour competitively in the summertime. This year I got busy with my other job so I didn't get to do the whole schedule. I'm looking forward to doing the whole schedule at the end of the next year. We start out in Lake Erie and I'm actually going out there here in a couple of weeks to test out some new products. Now I really get an head start on pre -fishing. I'm just going to get out and do one more big open water trip, I guess. I'm going to be meeting my dad and brother out there. We're That's awesome. Sounds like a lot of fun. And one of the things that I've always enjoyed over the years is seeing some of the ideas that Pat has come up with. And I know you two collaborate quite a bit and Tim Jenny and all the guys. I'm like, what are we going to come up with next? It's going to be the new big thing. And I know the Ridge Rattler has been an important part of my arsenal over the last year and a half, two years. And I see that you're coming out with a smaller version of that for ice season, which is really exciting, especially for those of us like me who love to hammer the walleye and the trout through the ice. So can you tell us just a little bit more about that product? Yeah, being a competitive angler, I got a tie on a PTA, whatever I'm doing or for the pizza purpose of building a tackle company. I can go out and use what actually works and do as good as everybody else. But the idea was what PTA we're trying to do our own thing. We're trying to be unique in and making something that's not out there yet. If you go, I'm looking at something you think what's it's already been done. What can we do to make it better? Anything different with the PTA Ridge Rattler? We took our crankbait. We have what's called a Ridgeline Gen 2 crankbait. It's got ridges on the outside. Those ridges give it a different vibration as it travels through the water. And if you want to trigger fish, you basically need three elements. You need noise, flash and vibration. If you can get one of those elements into something that's probably going to catch fish. Although, a bare hook will catch fish. Don't get me wrong. You don't always have to have something pretty and crazy out there. It can be very simple. But we took that design of the PK Ridgeline crankbait and downsized it into a lipless crankbait. In doing so, I like to use a lot of lipless cranks. Like I started off with Live Target and those are very light. They're hard to use during open water because they don't have a lot of direction of going down. They kind of jig and they do their thing. It's a cool product. They almost got some cool stuff with the light. They just don't drop fast. I was looking for something I can use for open water and ice fishing. So what we did, we added extra weight to the front. We called it a weight forward design. By doing so, that creates a fast drop alert. And we kept those ridges on the side. Those ridges cause vibration. When I'm out there jigging it or ripping it or throwing it back to me, I'm going to jig it up. And as I jig it up, I can feel vibration in my rod. That vibration lets me know that alert isn't followed up. It's actually working. And as it's doing that, it's triggering the strike. The idea is you want to rip it up, get it to vibrate and let it swim down and sink and hit the bottom. It's going to stir things up. But if it's a great lure for open water, cast like a bullet. We use it a lot up in say Devil's Lake and Sakakawea or Castle of Weedlines. Perfect lure for up there. Doesn't matter if it's windy out or not, you can cast that. Where some of the other ones you just can't cast into the wind, it's too light. But it works great for ice fishing, great for open water. And then this year we come out with three new products. The ideal is we're going for the Finicky Bite. We're downsizing things on the Ridge Rider. This one here we come out with, it's called the Mini. I didn't see it or not, but it basically weighs just under a quarter ounce. And we already have a quarter ounce one, but this is about half the size. Some of that weight, it's just a nice fast dropping lure. It's got smaller hooks on it. It's designed to catch crappie and perch and all this. But when we were testing it up in Devil's Lake last year, it isn't just up in Devil's Lake, but we have a bunch of areas down here where we have nice walleye and nice perch that share the same water. So you can be targeting perch for an hour and next thing you'll get a six ball walleye come. So this lure is great for that because it's got the small hooks on it for the perch crappie. But when a walleye bites it, it doesn't just nibble on it. It basically inhales. If you're going to use this for a walleye, bring fires with you because they're going to have to try on a small. Just something cool. And there's a lot of similar products out there, but the big difference on this, it's the weight forward design and the ribs. It's going to vibrate and it's going to have a fast drop with the other one. Just don't ask. Yeah. I've fished before you guys came out with the Ridge Rattler, I used some of the smaller lipless cranks and they just don't have the weight. You were talking about those like the rattle trap is one I think about. It was okay, but I can cast the PK Ridge Rattler almost twice as far. It's going to dive deeper. Yes, much deeper. And it's fun. I took it last year out off of this. We have this gravel point that would drop off and I was running that Ridge Rattler right up, right up that gravel drop off and just catching walleye after walleye off that drop. And I've noticed those predatory fish. They really want to be low in the water column and watch that bait fish. And when that bait fish is getting close to the surface and close the bank, that's when they want to run up and strike and eat that thing. So if you can mimic that where, where bait fish are, you know, running away, but they're running out of basically maneuverable room, that's when those big fish are like, okay, I've got you. I'm going for it. And they can corral you. Yeah. And Kurt, I was going to say those smaller ones are going to be really awesome for trout here in the West because a lot of our lakes, we have predator and believe me, they are predatory brook trout, splake, browns, fishing that smaller version through the ice and mid winter is going to be great because some of those bigger ones sometimes turn them off, right? Like it's a little too much for them, but downsizing a little bit, I think is going to be just killer for the trout through the ice here in Wyoming, Montana, and the Western States. It's going to be fun to put them to use for sure. Well, one key element on catching fish is that I can be using a Renway dinner devil, right? And it's, I can have one size and it just doesn't work. Sometimes you just go to a smaller size. That's all you really need to do. You can have the right color and everything else, but sometimes it's going to a smaller size. It's all you need to do. So that's why we come out with this mini rig browser, just a different option of what already works great. Yeah. Just as a business owner, what are some tips and tricks you found? You have two companies you've talked about you're running. You've got your competitive fishing. What are some things you've done to bring balance into? Cause obviously R and D new products, bringing that to the market. I know personally what is behind that and the amount of energy work, stress, strife goes into launching a new product, but you're also running another existing company. And then you talked about, you're getting to go do competitive fishing, which is your kind of sounds like your bread and butter, what you like to do. So how do you balance all this to keep a holistic schedule and keep you motivated to keep producing new products? Yeah, no, that's a great question. I don't even know where to start. How do you balance not just one job, but basically two. And for one, you gotta have a good foundation at home. You gotta have a good support group. You gotta have good friends and family that help you out. I can't do this on my own. There's no way. I probably talk to Pat once a week. You just kick around different ideals, but then there's the financial part of this too, where it just, in this story, you got a couple million dollars worth of product, which we're just sitting on, waiting to go. And some of it sells better than the other stuff, but to be a weird tiny company we're competing against Rapalas and Berkleys and Northlands that we're not there, but hopefully someday we'll, we'll get a little bit closer. I was just uptown on the other day at Shields in Bismarck and what started out being just a two by two area of PK is we always got an eight foot section up there right now. So that's a big store. That's a good store for us, but it's not one of our biggest. Hopefully every year we keep gaining tech space. It all starts with having a good support group and my other company is doing very well where we can take some money out of put in with something new. Like we talked about earlier, we come out with some different stuff this year. We're also an open water company. I got to keep coming out with Oakland water products. And I think we're on the right track. We've got stuff that's unique again, and then I can catch a fish, but trying to balance everything. Yeah. It's a chaos sometimes. There's nothing worse than being a competitive fisherman. That's probably the most stressful job you can have. So that's going to keep moving forward and doing the best we can. I picked this one up the other day and as an entrepreneur, business owner, if the things you do in your downtime don't revitalize and re -energize, you're not going to make it very long. It's just, you know, it sounds like fishing, even though it causes some stress, it's your getaway from the fishing lure company, right? Yeah. No, I just love the outdoor part about being a competitive ranger. If we get to go somewhere and we'll be up in Green Bay, we'll be on Erie. This August here, we took a couple of net views off the port packing. We just changed trout, lake trout. That was a blast. If you want to go to a cook catch 25 to 30 inch wakers, four pack is it, and it's only six hours only, but it's six hours from us. And we ice fish big in the last mountain, plus all around here. Going to the different bides of water, you think it's a little vacation, but it's really not. Everywhere I might go, I pick up different things I need to do, where I do with DK, where it's different colors, different bides of water, fish react differently to certain things. So as we're going around ice fishing, open water fishing, I'm picking up things. I might go to somewhere to just tank and just do terrible, but yet I picked up some skills there or I learned something new that I can take somewhere else. So it was very beneficial to actually go to this event. It's just, we're always learning and that's something we got to do to keep things moving forward. I was going to ask you this later in the podcast, but I think I'll ask it now is if you're talking to somebody who's looking at the market and looking at different options, so you talked about Northland, you talked about Berkeley, Rapala, all those big companies, and then PKs, tell them just if you were to tell them one thing about why they should buy a PK, what would that be? What is the one thing you'd say, this is why you got to have PKs, this is why you should try this? I'm not one to say that PK is a catch -all. It isn't. Should PK be in someone's arsenal? Why not? We've got something for everybody, water, we've got something for every water type, almost every species of fish. We're a North Dakota, better known, why not give it a try? I know some guys are stuck on certain things, that's the hardest thing that this little industry is to get people to try something new. A lot of older guys have a talk box that's full, right? They don't have any need or any desire to buy anything new. They've got what works, they've got what's got them their biggest fish. We're targeting the younger generation, where we sponsor the high school fishing league in our state here. It's basically like, you know, the bass circuit, but we try to target, or we try to cater to the younger generation. That's the guys that have a tackle box that's empty, they're looking to fill it up, and they're more eager to try it, and they might not have as much experience on the water, so if we can get them a PK in their hand and they can catch their first big fish on it, they're hooked. And that's a lot of guys' big mistake, is that they're not willing to try something new, where they might try a certain crankbait, where they might try a particular crankbait that they like, and they'll put that crankbait on for six, seven hours, and if they don't catch a fish, they'll just, at the end of that fishing trip, they'll say the fish just didn't bite. That probably isn't the case, because they were open to try something new. It can be a benefit with something new, and I would say try it, you got something for basically everybody. Yeah, and I would echo that for sure, like this summer we were, I took my family up to Keyhole, and I did a podcast on that, and my son and my dad and I, so it was three generations of boys in the boat, and we wanted to go out and get after the walleye. The wind blew for a couple of days, where we couldn't get out to where I knew the walleye would probably be, so we focused on crappie and pike and other things, and then when we were able to get out to where the walleye were, that PK Dakota Disc was awesome, and my dad's kind of that older guy you're talking about, Kurt, where he's 80 years old, and he has the one thing that's always worked for him. He's got one of those crawler harnesses that Northland made that he loved, and Ben's on the other side of the boat with this PK Dakota Disc out fishing grandpa, so that was pretty cool. He was having fun, he's catching fish after fish, and we were done pretty quickly. It didn't take very long once we could get out to where they were at, but that Dakota Disc shines, and that PK Wobbler, a lot of your open water stuff, man, I'm just like, you have as a fisherman, you're like, okay, it's a crawler harness. It's not just a crawler harness, and what's really cool is, for me, I've been able to put a lot of fish in the boat this year using that, and I was going to tell you this story too. I have a nephew, he lives in like the Denver metro area, right, so real busy part of Denver, doesn't go fishing, mostly plays video games. I had him come up here to Boyson Reservoir with me, and we went out, and we were pulling a PK Wobbler, and I like the one that's got the pink with the kind of silvery look to it, and we were using that, and we were, seriously, we were going about a half a mile an hour to three quarters of a mile an hour, and about three foot of water right off the edges, some weeds, and some kind of dirty water, and we had our limit in 45 minutes. It was so much fun, he had a blast, and so I would just echo that, why not try something different? It is fun to, especially in the summer, you don't have to use the same crawler harness you've been using for 25 years. You can try some of these new things that give off a different vibration, a different flash, have a little different action to them, and they work really well. Thank you for putting those out, because they certainly helped us this summer quite a bit. That PK Wobbler and that Dakota Disc, and go over some cool products that pull on live beads. That's all I ever did. Back then, there was a Colorado blade, and there was an Indiana blade, and you would put on different beads, different colored beads, different colors, and just mix and match until you got something that was this cool. When Pat first designed that PK Wobbler, it was basically out of a piece of balsa wood, and he had filed that out, and there's one side that's flat, one side's round, and when we tested it, it was the rounded side, which is the opposite side that it is now. It's the rounded side, it's your fishing pole, and that just wobbled back and forth. Probably went about 20 degrees, that you sped up, it just wobbled faster, and you go, oh, that's cool. It's a float that has action, so let's just call it the PK Wobbler. It just made sense, but then when it goes into production, it goes from balsa wood into fork, and it totally chunks the action, and I panicked, because I got this piece of foam back, and I think I was out in Green Bay or somewhere, and I was just putting some on, and it basically wasn't doing anything. It was like, pulling around a box, and I'm like, God, I got a lot of these, I don't know what I'm going to do with them. So we peed out around, and I got this idea, let's just flip it around, so now we have the part that's flat, that face of the fishing pole, and that turned it into a multi -directional floating spinner. That was by accident. Now we got stuff that's in multi -directional, multi -directional. Whoever thought of that, I wasn't thinking of that, but that's what it does, and we got the patent for that, and that's ours, when it all happened by a lot, but as a kid growing up floating spinner, I thought, how else can we do a spinner? It's been done before, and then after, I ended up sitting, and then we kind of worked together to make what it is, but that PK Wobbler, I cashed two checks on the National Walleye Tour with it, plus a bunch of other checks of fishing, different other fish tournaments, but what a cooler. I think it does better in mid -summer, more on the Great Lakes. It just covers a bigger body of, as it spins, it displaces water in a bigger area, where say you go out to Lake Erie, it's always big blade, big stuff, right? As it spins, it's covering an area that's bigger than an actual spinner would, if that makes any sense, and then my dad and brother were out here two years ago, and they were messing around. When you go up here, it's always crankbaits, big stickbaits, reef runners, bandits, baglies, those, you're graded out there, so if you're going to go to Erie, if you're going to drive 14 hours, it's going to put the whole world up, it just makes sense. Why do you want to go out there and mess around with something that probably isn't going to catch a fish, when you only have a couple days to fish? So they went out there, and they're pulling big big bait bandits around, and then my dad being sad, he puts on the PK Wobbler in front of it, or whatever, let's see what it does. That first day, they went out, they've had a one pull, my dad outfished my brother like five to one, with a wobbler in front of a six -bait bandit, right? I don't know if it turns it into a scatter wrap, where it's got a little different action, or something, but by the end of their trip, they had a wobbler in front of every bandit, so that was just super cool. That's why we're going to go out there next week, we're going to play around with this some more, and we're going to put wobbler in front of cranks, and then we have a different rattle float coming out next year, we're going to play around with that, and then we got a Kaleidote we're working on for next year, and we're going to play around with that, and see what comes of it, but that PK Wobbler is super cool, we pretty much sell them all year around, even in February, we got wobbler's going out the door, which I think is just neat, and then that PK decoded this, it's just a round disc, about little, about a quarter, we got the idea, that's the full flapping around, it just goes side to side, and it causes vibration, it's kind of a swimming action, killer lure up on Devil's Lake, I don't think it goes by a fish that it doesn't catch, it just really does very well up in Devil's Lake, Lake Oahu out here, I think, I think almost anywhere I've ever put that on, I've caught fish, super cooler, deep, doesn't cost a lot, but if you want to tie your own, we have all the parts, you can buy them online, and you get a pack of 12 discs, very effective lure, and the get up and done often make it different, and we did it again with the PK decoded disc. Yeah, like I said, it worked great for me this summer, but I want to go back to this, you've got some new micro stuff coming out for this winter season, besides the Ridge Rattler, can you talk about those other two products, because I think those, especially around here, because we've got, we got the trout that I know will eat them, we've got the walleye, the crappie, the perch, all those different things, just highlight some of those new micros that you got coming out. Oh, this starts out now, about two years ago, I fished, called the NAIFC, I think it's still having a lure, but it's basically a special panfish ice fishing circuit, where they target bluegills, the area where I'm at, we don't have any bluegills, I don't, I think I caught my first one here probably three years ago, they're a very aggressive fish, like a crappie, but a lot smaller, but anyway, we were fishing Lake Oahu in Iowa, went down there, and I brought the PK predator tungsten, it's a one ounce tungsten, got a blade on it, a treble hook, we were fishing, and I could see them on my livestock, and there was a bunch of them down there, they wouldn't fight, and so I go online, and I'm trying to figure out how to catch a bluegill, and first thing I said is, lighten up your line, you know, go like a two pound test, and I did that, and I think our PK predator tungsten was a little too big, so you can come up with the idea of, let's drop the hook from the actual lure, to get like space out there, and then that seemed to work, started catching fish, that came up with the idea of, let's just make a real small tungsten, how small can we go, we got it down to a one thirty second out tungsten, and this is called the metagoshi rig, that all came from the idea of bluegill bite eat, bug bite eat, so the idea, this is this lure, bait chasing bait, when you stick something on the hook, it's basically, that hook is going to be following that lure, like bait chasing bait down there, real cool idea, we used a little bit last fall on Devil's Lake, we were catching blue jumbo perch with this, and then we would have walleye come through, I think our biggest walleye we caught was about three pounds, the chain did not break, I'm like, I'm sold, this is an awesome lure, bluegill, crappie, perch, and walleye, but I'm not saying this is a walleye lure, but if you have one come through, you're going to be okay with it, you know, that's the hook, right, and then as I'm going around, different sporting shows, I'm thinking, hey, I got this cool small spoon with a drop chain, and I'm showing guys, and they're like, you know what would be cooler than that, a treble hook on it, and I'm like, I can't breathe these guys, so what I did, I come out with a TK micro spoon, same one 30 second tongues in, but we put a size 20 treble hook on it, that way I got all the anglers happy, I think, I covered every bait, yeah, we got six colors of each, real cool lures, shield was down in Kirkwood Chasm, and here's a bunch of other stores that are slowly picking them up, but it's something new, so if you don't have it at your store, ask as far as that they order it, or check it out on our website, where we're fully stocked.

Check out the first episode. It's not that long. It's really well done. And you will definitely 100 % enjoy it. Okay. Let's bring in the cuz. Let's talk some football. Let's talk some wound licking with some bets, some Eagles, all kinds of things. It's all next. First, our friends from Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam! All right. We are taping this. It is 830 Pacific time on Sunday night. Cousin Sal is here as always. He's wearing a nice, fresh Oregon hat that I think you probably bought probably this weekend. You went to visit your son? Smells very new. Yeah, I went to visit my son. I'm not happy with the way my hair looks. And I think the hat's an improvement. So what am I going to do? It looks great. We just watched Dolphins Eagles just now. And at the same time, Rangers Astros was happening. And it really felt like, I don't know, it felt like a great October sports night there. And then Texas blew it open in the end. But next week, we'll have basketball. There will be baseball going on. It'll really feel like October. The Eagles though. So right as I start sending texts to Eagles people in my life wondering what's going on with Hurts and what's going on with this team, and then they just turn it on and they win by 14. It's weird. Eye test wise versus the stats and just looking at the standings and stuff. It's a team that doesn't seem like they have all their shit together. And yet it doesn't matter because they have so much talent. They can just kind of pick and choose. And then all of a sudden they win anyway. I know don't what other team in the NFL is like this. Do you see that too? Yeah, absolutely. And it's a bummer because I think you agree. The Dolphins are, I don't know, favorite team to watch if you have to cut everything else out. Best offense, so much going on, like dynamic, Tyreek Hill, anything. Tua. But when they play a game like this, when they go to Buffalo, they're just going to get beat in the trenches. And like what you said is it doesn't really matter if you're so physical, Philadelphia, offensively or defensively. And like Tua's getting swallowed up in the pocket on third and ones. And where Philadelphia could just run that tush push like it or not, it's going to move the chains every time. So, yeah, it sucks. Yeah. The less flashy team wins. And they happen to be in my favorite team's division. But that's what's going to happen in January. Ten turnovers for Hertz. He had eight off last year. There's times where, you know, like sometimes, and I don't know whether he's protecting his body or what's going on, but he'll kind of duck away from taking hits, which is smart. And then he'll have weird throws. And I texted Solak today during third quarter. I'm like, are we going to find out that Hertz has had like torn rib cartilage since week two or, you know, he doesn't look right sometimes. And then in the fourth quarter, all of a sudden looks great. And I don't really know what to make of it. And I can't get a feel for it. But on top of it, they have this tush push thing that in the big drive of the game, they're able to get two straight fourth and ones on their own side of the field. I know we, you and I have talked about it. You've talked about it incessantly. And at the same time, it feels like it is the most important NFL invention in the last five years, this play that nobody can stop ever at any point. If he does, nobody else can do it. I know it's weird. And we likened it to the Tom Brady thing. There was no reason why Tom Brady should convert fourth and one and a half every single time, you know, physically and everything else. But except they had their shit together, the Eagles, they really do. And if he does have cracked ribs, I hope it's from his own teammate, smashing them over the line of scrimmage there. Yeah, it was just wear and tear on the back of his body from several guys. Yeah. So they're performing the Heimlich on him like every eight minutes. So I guess if you're taking the takeaway from the Eagles is nice when they needed to have it, they're also supposed to win. But the AJ Brown piece of it, the fact that they traded, you know, a first round pick basically, and then they paid him. And I don't know, he's one of the four best receivers in the league now. Is he one of the three? He's somewhere on the shortest possible list. I have him on multiple fantasy teams, and it's gotten to the point where I'm just expecting 100 yards in a TD every game. But that turned out to be one of the better trades, I think, of the last 10 years. Just kind of took him from Tennessee. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was ridiculous. And he is such a great possession receiver. And it's like, it's scary, too, because you'll forget about him, too. You probably put Justin Jefferson in the top three. And then every time Cousins drops back the pass or any snap, you're like, all right, this has to go to Jefferson. Otherwise, it's going to go for nothing out of this offense. And then eight tush pushes in a row. And then you see AJ Brown's like, oh, my God, I forgot about this guy. What? He's got 120 yards. It's nuts. So, yeah, dynamite. I like, yeah, there's like four different kind of catches he can make, too, which I think makes him stand out because they can throw those bubble screens. They can just put them right over the middle, like for seven, eight yards. It seems like whenever they want, they can send him deep down the sidelines, which he seems to love. And then that kind of deep over the middle with two guys on him and he can make plays anyway. But he he has, like, I think the biggest bag of any of the receivers right now. Yeah, personal. I don't know. I got these guys. Yeah. Yeah. I hate this team. I don't know. I don't even know what to say anymore. Like, you know, the Miami have what, 10 or 11 penalties? It's just like it's a it's like a mind fuck, too, when you play him, too, because you can't get out of a can't get out of your own way when you play against them. Kyle, don't turn on the tick tock camera for this. Has Philly replaced Boston for most interesting sports city? Like, look at all the shit they have going right now. Right. Right. They're they're about to make the World Series. They have this Eagles team that made the Super Bowl last year and it feels super relevant again, is definitely going to be a final 14 worst case scenario. And then they have this NBA team with this James Harden saga that God only knows how he's going to sabotage things over the next month. But and then you look at my team where my city where I have the the you know, we have a great NBA team, it looks like. And then other than that, completely forgettable across the board. I think Philly's kind of grabbed the mantle a little bit. I don't like it. I don't like it right now. That's not good. And it's not good for their fans because their fans are supposed to just hate the other team, not supposed to like their team. So it doesn't matter if their team is good. Right. Yeah, I don't know. It's a bummer. Although I'll say that they were in this position last year, too. Right. Phillies win the World Series. The Eagles win the Super Bowl. This has been this is the 2020s has kind of been the Philly decade. I don't like it. It's upsetting to me. And fortunately, the Sixers are it seems like they're going to go in the tank. But I got to say they have great crowds like the the Phillies playoff crowds are way up there. That's about as good of a baseball crowd as you're going to get. It really feels like if they can have like a do or die game or a must win game or a clincher at home, you feel like they're going to get it. And whatever happened with Bryce, you know, pretty special, like to sign that guy from another team and he becomes the signature athlete in your city. We had a little bit of that with Manny Ramirez, where we kind of took him from. We paid for it, but took him from Cleveland and he kind of became one of the symbols of that run. But pretty nuts that they just took him from another team and he became what he became. Yeah, it's a great crowd whenever they I mean, I thought the Rams crowd today was dynamite, too, against the Steelers. I thought they really showed up. It's really loud. Yeah, yeah, it's been proud to be from L .A. Yeah, I have a I know you don't want to talk about Phillies, so I'll move on. I have a Tyree question for you. What's your all time receiver list for receivers you've watched just where you're like, that guy's fucking amazing? Because for me, it was always Rice number one and Moss two and then a drop off. And then some people like Tio's three for me. I'm like, cool. Tio is like an absolute franchise murderer and was a huge head case and you couldn't trust him. And as the years pass, the stats will be great. All the fucking drama that he brought to every situation he's in, that stuff will kind of die off. But for me, I think Tyreek's unequivocally three now for me. Every single game, it just you just feel like he's going to have 250 yards as you're watching it, right? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Unstoppable, Tyreek over Calvin Johnson, that type. Yeah, I think like where you would put him. Yeah, I think for me, he's definitely over Calvin Johnson. Michael Gallup is three, four. I'm trying to see where I would put these people. Yeah, I think you're right. I think you're right. I think he's got to be number three. Although if you look at like Antonio Brown, who's now a punch line, he had like six of the best seasons you'll ever see in a row. But but in terms of presence and being unstoppable, Rice, Moss, Tyreek Hill, it's a good three. That's how I feel. I think, you know, Sharp, I think, could have gotten there in the Packers way back when in the 90s. And then, you know, he hurt his neck and he basically only had like a six or seven year career. But I thought in the 90s, I thought other than Rice, he was the second best guy. Your guy, Irvin, was great. There's no question that team was loaded. We've had some good ones over the years, but Tyreek, the speed, how he just tilts the field over and over again, how scared the other team is of him. How much space he opens up for everybody else. I think he's three. I don't think he'll ever get over Moss or Rice for me, though. I'm trying to think who could pass him, though, now at three. I mean, we've put Justin Jefferson up there before. Now that we haven't seen him for a few weeks, we've kind of forgot about him in the right now. But Hill's done this now for, you know, six, what's it, six years since he's on the 18 Chiefs. I can't remember how many years he's been in the league, but yeah, he'll be stride for stride with two defenders. And then, like, if the ball hangs up there long enough, he's now seven, eight yards past them. Oh, I know who's number four. That's a nice little advantage. Pooka. He is? Guys, see that catch he made on the sideline today? It was pretty great. Before the Rams realized they were going against a force greater than any satanic force or anything, the Pittsburgh Steelers. You want to talk about that? Yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. So they're four and two. I've watched every play of all six games. I have no idea how they're four and two, but they've hit the point now where I feel like they're going to win when there's no signs. Like that guy missed the extra point today for the Rams and made it nine, three instead of 10, three. I'm like, oh, here we go. Steelers come down. All of a sudden it's 10, nine. They have five first downs because they get the TJ Watt, you know, the pick that sets up the touchdown. And you're just like, here we go. They're doing this. And we've seen this before because this was the Eli Manning. Danny Heifetz was the first person to point this out. This was the Eli Manning recipe for years and years that I can't believe that team's winning. What the fuck just happened? He only made two throws. How did he do it? They're four and two. I totally believe in them. And I feel like they're going to go 12 and five and have a negative point differential. Well, the good thing is we're making money off them, right? We've been and we saw them. Plus, I mean, I thought they'd be favored last Sunday night. I thought they'd be favored, but they're not. So we're doing that thing, but also just taking them because the Steelers. But I found the gem and I gave it out on ringer wise guys, Rams first half Steelers to win the game 10 to one. You know, I'm positive that their bullshit is going to pay dividends and 10 to one. I think it'll hit like three more times. Like you're right. That TJ Watt interception brings it down to the eight. We see some separation from Pickens on a receipt, like the little one drive you wait for all game and it happens. And then that terrible spot at the end, it didn't give him a chance. That that was beyond really big. McVeigh also probably should have had a timeout left. I know. But, you know, what is it important to be like, hey, listen, we could get this right, but we'd rather teach you a lesson, coach, to save your timeouts. Like, I don't, this, the spot thing bothers me more than missed pass interferences because it's an old man jogging eight yards and he has to see between 20 bodies. And then like, you know, he sticks his foot in the mud and says, here, this is like a surveyor from 1835. He's like, this is where your property in, sir. Like we got to put, there's a chip in the ball. Isn't there a chip in the ball? What's it for? It's funny that we figured out Wimbledon. We figured out we've in U .S. Open, we figured out how to measure serves immediately, whether they hit the line or not in football, which seems like it would be really easy to just have some sort of magnet that was attached to the chains. The other thing that was weird about that for the people who didn't see it, the Steelers did fourth and one, they had the lead. There's probably like a little more than two minutes left and they run the QB sneak play, kind of the Brady play where you, you kind of put your head down, but you go left. But he slipped and fell on his knee and his knee went down. And it wasn't one of those when you're watching it where you're like, oh, I wonder if he got it was like, you knew immediately, oh, he didn't get it. He slipped. And then they come in with the spot and then like, oh, he might have gotten it. And they did that. I couldn't believe it. And I'm rooting for the Steelers. But I was like, oh, my God, it's the worst spot of the year. I thought they deserved to win anyway. But but that was pretty tough for the Rams. We need some clarification. And I get it because McVeigh didn't have timeouts and it wasn't actually the two minute warning yet, even though it did wind to that after that. But is there a ref in the sky? Is there this guy in the sky or is this everything has to go back to New York? Like, I feel like we're told three different things. It's a bummer because that could have been overturned. But you're right. Ten to one we hit. Let's just keep doing it. You know, you know who else would have gotten that fourth one? Eli Manning. He would have fallen down a half foot in front and somehow would have gotten the spot. The Rams kicker was the MVP of this game for the Steelers. He missed two longer field goals. They were like 50 yard field goals, but he missed about them. Then he missed that extra point. And then Tomlin just, you know, he threw away the challenge. He screwed up a challenge, which is the Tomlin staple.

"Welcome to the Otz LaFlex Football Podcast. I'm your host Dracula. With me as always is Rob Green. What's up man? And Ryan Wheeler. Happy Halloween. I thought you were doing a Russian accent. It's a drunk, it's a drunk Dracula. Oh that was drunk Dracula. Yeah, I made up my own accent. Halloween's still a few weeks away you know. Yeah, you should do, now we gotta do it two more times. You have to do that two more times until you actually get to Halloween. Next time I'll actually get drunk and then try to do Dracula and see what happens. Are you gonna do a Santa Claus voice for Christmas? You gotta save it. Stop. Stop. You got time to practice that one I guess. You got time to practice, yeah. Alright guys, you guys ready to get our song titles into this episode? No. No, okay. Good response. Very energetic. Alright, we got Creed this week. We have Creed's album Human Clay back in 1999. Tony, why are we doing Creedian? For all the baseball fans out there, which is probably seven other of them other than myself, the Texas Rangers are using that as their pump up music prior to games and they have yet to lose a playoff game. So it's working for them, so it'll work for us. I thought you meant the New York Rangers when you said that. Nope. Texas Rangers. That's how much I think about baseball I guess. Creed can definitely get you higher, that's for sure. Alright, my song titles. Are You Ready? Yes. What If, Beautiful, and Say I. I figured one of you guys would be like yeah, ready. I am ready. What are your titles? Alright, those are it. Rob, what do you got? Wrong Way, Faceless Man, Never Die, and With Arms Wide Open. I've got Higher, Wash Away Those Years, Inside Us All, and also With Arms Wide Open because I guess there's another version of it at the end. So we'll see if we can get both of those in. But yeah, let's jump right into it. Let's go. Titans were the early game last week, so we'll start with them. Some significant news there with Tannehill getting hurt. They're on a buy this week, so we'll see what happens with the quarterback. Ryan, your initial thoughts from the game last week in London. Say I. What if I said it's a beautiful thing that Tannehill's gone because I hope, well, I hope he's gone. I hope he misses at least. Well, I definitely headed the wrong way with him leading the team, so that's true. Yeah, so I'm hoping that he's out at least like five weeks and then we get to see. I'm assuming Malik Willis for probably the first five and then whatever games are left. Unless he's bawling out, they'll probably throw Levis in there to see what they got with him and. Quite honestly, I mean, hopefully Levis is the answer or Willis is the answer or are the answer, but I don't believe they will be, so hopefully they just are bad enough. Um, to get us a really good early pick next year and we can go get one of those top QB's in the draft. What's the record right now? Two and four. Two and four baby for going into the buyout. You know it's gonna be tough though with Rabel that then they seem to never die every year. They're good. That's the unfortunate thing. Yeah. Um, but I think I think going back to last year, they're like, what did they win? They they lost seven in a row and now they're two and four. So they're two and 11 in their past 13 games. How did I not know that? Yeah, not good. Not good. I think, uh, no matter what you said out for five games, but I mean at this point you might as well just just be done with it, right? Just figure out. You might as well wash those years away with Tannehill and move on. Get with Willis or Levis or whoever it is and give him a shot. And then it's hard right for Rabel because of that defense is always going to keep you in the game, so you never want to just completely tank. But for the next decade, you need to have a quarterback, right? I mean, when was the last time Tennessee had a good quarterback like Jake Locker? Oh, he was so good. No quarterback since I thought Vince Young was going to be like something and then he seemed like it would be, but didn't last right. Steve McNair. Maybe Steve McNair is probably way back, but even like, uh, respect to McNair, but he wasn't even like that good. He was just the best of the Titans. I mean, you're obviously relating this to a Bills fan like you are approaching the.

Rep. Brian Mast: Wearing His Israeli Military Uniform to Capitol Hill

"Reason that it is mine is something similar, not to the same extent of what's going on right now, but unfortunately, that has occurred in history over and over. Israel being attacked. Most of the time, the media doesn't report the single or half dozen rocket attacks that lob into Israel regularly, but back in 2014, I was a student at the liberal then of indoctrination of Harvard Operation and Protective Edge was going on and Israel was being attacked yet again. They had taken military hostages and same thing was going on up there that's going on right now. Just people that for the life of me, I couldn't understand why they were draping themselves in Palestinian flags and rallying against Israel and one night actually started rallying against my wife and my family for being a US service member and it's not hard for people to figure out that I was a US service member. I don't have any legs and I wear a hat that says Army Rangers so it doesn't take a genius to it figure out and after that incident in Boston, in the Boston Commons with Nazi these Arab sympathizers is what I I would call told them, my wife, I said look I don't know what it's going to look like but I'm going to get my hands dirty. I'm going to find a way to go my support against this hypocrisy that is chastising Israel, show my support for Israel and when I show support for something I try to do it in a physical, tangible way and you know I called the consulates and the embassies and everything else and ultimately went and put on the uniform of the IDF and served in Israel. So you were an IDF soldier for a period of time? I was a volunteer. I was a volunteer with the IDF, held no rank you know but served there working on a

"Between winning a Stanley Cup or not, but it will make a difference over the course of a 7 game series because there's that cumulative effect of if you just keep losing all of these shifts even by small margins, it really does add up. Yeah, absolutely. Now, you have the trickle down effect in your lineup elsewhere too, because we all knew that vitality graph itself is not going to get top 6 minutes in New York. It just isn't happening this year. He's not, you know, he's not going to be using that capacity. But if you bring in Tara, sanko is going to guarantee that he is. So now you have the trickle down effect from the players that we're stepping up in that role are going to be played in lesser capacities. They're going to get fourth line roles, you know, on in a perfect world, the way the lineups deploy, things like that, you have players like Barkley, George and Medici, one of two has to be on that fourth line, whether it's with someone like Julian gauthier, to round it out. But those are the players that now everyone else is sliding down the depth chart. And that's exactly what happened at the deadline last year. If you put cop in, you're guaranteeing top 6 minutes for him. Frank for Toronto was a first line player, Chris kreider. And because advantage Ed, you had that depth right there. That forced everyone else slower down the lineup. The problem was the fourth line was still completely totally a weak link. And if the top 6 wasn't on the ice, you know, the only line is really getting meaningful minutes. You weren't going to get much of anything, but this year it's a little bit different because the third line, the kid line has developed so much and progressed so much. That you could, in theory, have three very good lines, and you could even limit the usage of the fourth line this time around and maybe you don't want to if they can add one more depth forward. Like it's going to change the entire composition of that forward group versus what they had last year and it's going to help them manage the matchups against teams like New Jersey and Caroline a lot better. And the same is true on defense because we saw what we're seeing so far from mikko from Schneider, like is it perfect? Absolutely not. And are there things to work on in that regard completely and totally? But if you can trust them in those minutes versus someone like Ben Harper versus someone like nemeth from last year, it's really a game changer. Yeah, it is. Yeah, I was looking at the minutes that an Aaron has played over the course of his rangers tenure and it's kind of some of the line mates that they've trotted out with him and it really has been just like a recurring theme where they've almost been one scoring winger short for an extended period of time and I think part of it is because drug galactus has refused to give crafts off that a long look there. I think that would have solved a lot of problems. But you look at it, it's like a lot of minutes with Barclay good girl on the wing

"You really have to just marvel at what this guy has done over the last couple of years. You know you're not gonna to a lot of things too. I mean you compare number wise to one marriage shell. Obviously we all know that back in the day guys like marriage shell guys like seaver. If you wanna go back further than that. Bob feller walter johnson. These guys were throwing a lot more innings. Then guys like the guam has today. I mean you look even in the start that he had had yesterday. Degrom seven innings eleven strikeouts. No one's allowed was dominating as all hell only through eighty five pitches and they pulled him. I mean back in the day. Tom seaver start complete game. You know one national store to complete game but the fact that matter is that that's how the games played today and you can't hold it against jacob degrom for excelling in the way that the game is being played today at highest level. And that's what this is right now. Jacob degrom is the best pitcher in baseball bar. None not even close number two garrett cole and you might as well put him at three because right now there's no one even close to the ground. There's the graham one. No one two and gary cole three That that's that's how good to grandma's right now and It's just good to see you know obviously like everybody else in the mets. He had that little stint on the injured list last year. He had that little hiccup where a lot of people were worried and then he came out and in his his rehab start against a single lay cardinals team. The palm beach cardinals. He faced nine batters in three innings and struck out eight of them and these guys were just blown away at how good jacob degrom was. And that's that's the level this guy's on right now you look. I mean this guy's got a ninety two mile an hour slider like and it just breaks right off the plate. You can't do anything with it drops. There's there's nothing you could do your left. They're looking like a fool when you swing it because it's it looks like it's heavily out of the batter's box by time you get done swindon swinging and but when by the time you first saw it and started to swing. It looked like it was going to be a strike. That's how good degrom is right. Now he sets you up with that stuff. Sometimes even fishy finishes off with that stuff. He went and through one curveball yesterday when they graham says twenty seventeen when he really started to evolve into this new version of gras where which really started in two thousand eighteen when he was first. Cy young 'cause but twenty seventeen is where we start to see him. Take a big step forward was actually on this day in twenty Eighteen twenty seven pm. Sorry it was four years ago today. That jacob degrom made a start in texas. Believe it or not. It was interleague series between the mets and the rangers. Degrom got rocked foreign innings. Eight runs and you know his ear. Ray had ballooned up a little bit. It was still pretty good on the outside. But he had gone through a stretch where he was just getting batted around. And you think about that today. It seems unfathomable..

Stand are not gonna say. He's jewish to point out because he isn't cheap brings a lot of new things type which is necessary but at the same assigned point he brings that cool the values that mike stahl he's he's a spill upon it. Also the idea of having an executive created direct to somebody to oversee the creative decisions across multiple projects are about nine years ago. Great company maybe but might be. This may be again. This could be something discussed but maybe that this was also a kind of knock on effects. There's something here. Firefighters gates philosophy so gets it from our side. Maybe we should now get consolidate what we have and build upon it. Let's get someone in to oversee every single streaming series of. They're putting how to make sure that consistency make sure they in wold consistency in galaxy consistency as well Understood and just to make it feel more connected. So that is one of the legacy of the sequel trilogy. Then great again. I'm not saying that as it could be. It might as well as not. We may as well not paper or overruled. I might. I think the other thing is better person to be a creative director for the then dive right. Wow that's and that's it's a big statement but it's not unexpected you kind of expect this. Because he's overseeing all things and i think we've dave loni. I just think he like you said that. That doesn't seem to be a bad person and not a bad thing right that small negative thing. It's like oh yeah you only got the job because you know there's no other bassam Genuinely is i think. Because firstly dave i think gets the star wars tom line. But if you're if you're confused about this new so you don't have a whole lot about die fly. No don a really encourage back on Watch the roundtable sessions for mandalorian season. One i've read a debbie. Plus i think school disney gallery mandalorian as really stupid name but we love it. Is that stupid game. Disney roundtable discussions. I don't get it disney gallery done like it but anyway anyway Yeah i i think defining rainy gate stalwarts. He gets this mythology even just his explanation of jewel of the fights. You know it may seem obvious to some maple right but for a lot of people many many bagel. it isn't. It isn't always obvious you know. And this is why people like tron line this kind of stuff in english at skull in. Let's turn language but Difficult and it's a very difficult thing for many people across especially because we're with some engraved in the digital age So i i think that's just i love the he. He has a solid grasp on more of the spiritual side of star wars the deep meanings of star wars. I think that's fantastic. And like you said my. I think that was something that sometimes. Not all the time of something. That sometimes was missing from this sequel trilogy production you know and of this lack of vision of do it now and Will worry about it later. Slot now the the mandalorian is doing the opposite to that you know the these tv shows what We'll get back to that in a in a moment. It general tv shows That seems to be a lot more planning. Against the brewers at shea stadium go one for four with a double of jeff juden as allied and the mets win. The game as lighter throws a four hit shutout in the mets win. Three nothing at shea stadium and that leaves and gentleman is this day in sports history while such a great time so far as You know they had there. Had to be a little bit of rain on the parade. Though yesterday we got a A nets win in the playoffs. Against sin as the nets took their first game they had up and down first half they. Won't they really running away with it in the second half It was only the ninth time all season that hardened durant and kyrie irving were on the court for the same game which is just a stonning really and you think about it but the The nets came up. They beat boston yesterday. But the knicks in their first playoff action. In eight years as coun- stevenson said he was watching it with his son was sitting here watching it in the studio many others. Were just like me sitting home. Watching the knicks play their first game the first playoff game in over eight years You know they took a one zero seven one zero five lost. The garden really had a couple of chances to put this game away late. Just could not do it You had some standout performers of but is it also really struggled like julius randle. I playoff games. A nick did not look good at twenty three from the field fifteen points. He had twelve rebounds but him and barrett barrett six fifteen so not as bad but fourteen points one assist bounds. Really not a good from the guys who the knicks have really been leaning on coming down this stretch here. The stretch run that were. "But if you were thinking if the ranges are going big fish hunting this off season is there any name that pops out as more realistic than any of the others. We've brought up. I don't know realistic You know. I'm not quite sure if the names you mentioned right. There's two shocks and You know certainly would love to have one of those guys. In fact true one of those guys is exactly what i think they would want to add to the mix it they have current they want. They want a big forward Who plays on the edge lose physical and you know and and can play as well and that's a ca- chuck's right so If you could get one of those guys and you know of course that that would be that would be ideal but i. I don't know. I don't know that either one of those guys is gonna you know. Just calgary we you know who would want to trade a ca- chuck. I mean i don't. I don't really understand the how that would be possible. I don't. I don't see that now. The jack eichel things is a different thing. I mean i. I think that he is unhappy. And i think he wants to leave. And you know some point. Buffalo is going to have to look into that so i mean the you know he's out there and he's he's potentially gettable but if you're the rangers i think you know this is a guy who's you know we actually haven't had surgery but he you know he missed most of the season with a neck injury and you know You know what's it gonna cost you to get him and you know we have to give up I'm i'm not. I'm not so sure that this is the right fit. And if you gotta go after him. Why would you fire his college. Talk played played for dave quinn. If you were going to you know you're bound and determined to go get jack eichel. You could've kept data quinn so i don't I don't know i don't know again. How realistic that is If you're buffalo. Do you wanna trade jack eichel to the new york rangers or would you prefer to trade him out west somewhere. You know where you don't have to see him twice a year So i don't. I don't know how realistic it is for them to get any of them but You know. I think you know what they have to do. Is they have to find somebody. somewhere you know who can play forward and he's going to play more of a straight line game and go to the net and and it was going to hit people and my dropped gloves on occasion so if you can find that guy you know if you can find a you know a tom. Wilson look alike. You know and i know it's almost as name is is mont around rangers. town If you could find that guy I think that's that's a guy that every team is looking for it and if they can find some kind of approximation of that guy. I think that's what they're going to get..

"From the Rangers? That's part of their farm system, so they're already in the system. They don't recruit to the system, but they may pull from them up to the big leagues and so so forth. So is that why you took off yesterday? Because you and terror had like a Eight hookey day or something like that. Not in mine because I felt like asked yesterday, and I feel like asked today, so no, it's actually those two things were completely unrelated. Unfortunately, yesterday just we had an appointment that Had to happen at six PM yesterday, and there was no avoiding it so and there was that was really about the only time it could happen. So we're like I'd find will take it. I seem to remember somebody getting on Russ for Scheduling appointments during the show. That was different. He had options. He chose to go to the eye doctor in the middle of the show. They took walk ins at Walmart. I'm with you that he walked in at 4:30 P.m.. Because Jerry drove it. I'm with you there. He could have gone at What time was he could have gone earlier to the day any time. This. This was different. Believing what wasn't I would have rather had been here then what I was doing. I swear to God, it's not one of those like happy appointments like yeah, it's just like a guy have to do this thing. South anyway. So that was I was white. Uh, Not here yesterday. But going the game last night completely unrelated because we got to the game about the same amount of time that we would have. Have we done to show yesterday? He left from here. Yeah, exactly. But To fun. Things did happen in that game. In addition to being there at a live sporting event for the first time and Well over a year, So that was nice. First off metal, Uh, met a really cool listener. Very normal listener. From what I could tell his name is Josh. Sends his sympathies on the passing of Russ to all of us here in the tree house. Uh, been here for eight years from Wisconsin. Say like good, normal listener because I appreciated that he said Hi. But then He left. He wasn't sitting behind you in the stands your head. Actually, he was hey was actually he was like six or seven seats over but on the road behind us, I'm just being silly. I always appreciated listening comes up and says Hi. And I'm always surprised when I get recognized. But I realize now it's not so much that I'm the person that gets recognized as it is my wife. So they recognize tariff first be like, Oh, that must be. Damn. That's exactly what happened last night, And that's usually what happens whenever the you know out in about getting recognized thing happened because of her bartending years? No, I think so. I think as the social media Because I mean, let's be honest between the two of us. She's the one that stands out in a crowd. Mm hmm. So he didn't go, Diane, I'm real sorry, Danu using attractive, attractive specimen of a man, But Terry's got you beat in the looks department. Yeah, I know. Believe me, I know it. There's still one listener that, uh, things I have a bionic leg because I'll kick my coverage by so much you bucky of the winter soldier with but with a leg. So anyway, I got to meet Josh last night. He was very cool. Very nice. And, uh, Then there was this cute little family in front of us and right right in front of us. Dad you had, Mom If I had to guess I'd say don't know. Late twenties, maybe. Maybe maybe early thirties, two little girls and seeing as how my wife works with Young Children for her job. She would be. She would kill at the guess Your age thing at the state fair as long as it was for Children like I don't know under five, so She's like there's a two year old in front of us. And then another kid, two little girls sitting on and around Mom and dad. Well, one of the girls eyes sort of playing the peekaboo game with us in front of us behind her chair. They always turn around the other girls sitting on Mom's lap kind of crime. Then, uh, Girl. Then they kind of switched places. One girl gets down. The other girl gets in Mom's lap and because she's the one that was sort of playing, whether she's looking at us. And she very coyly as she's making eye contact with me. This little two year old girl adorable, adorable. Angelic two year old little girl. Reaches over behind the seat. Takes her finger. And wipes. Around the edge of my beer bottle. And licks it. Oh, my God. Uh, parents know, however, I didn't say a thing. My first question is why you give him the little girl Beard and I didn't knew that's what you guys would say. I was stunned. Why was your beer within arm's reach of her Because that's where the cup holder is. Oh, yeah, You're right from the back of the That's right there looked like they didn't. They didn't design the cup holders with, you know, Two year old fingers in mind. Of why you giving that little girl beer? Yeah, You could have got a ticket. Yeah, contributing to a minor. Whatever I think it would be contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I'm not even sure if that would If that would be the charge, considering the age of the minor like that's what you say if it's like a 15 year old or a 16 year old, I think it a two year old that some sort of a felony..

"Give them credit for it He had a great year for the mets the next year before getting traded hitting twenty nine home runs in the regular season for them But you know jay. Bruce just was not cut out to be the yankees first baseman as retired. But if you look at this though. Jay bruce his his opium was Four sixty seven and the aggies No four sixty six and if you look at the yankees number three hitter. Aaron hicks his. Opiates is four seventy six. So i don't know if that's boating wealth the yankees right now but when you look at their lack of hitting i mean you know you've got obviously lemay hugh who's sitting to eighty six. He's doing good judges sitting around fifty. He's been okay or shallow has brought that batting average back up the last few days. Gary sanchez has actually been hitting this year. At a nowhere higgins gosh yoga the yankees backup. Catcher has done a phenomenal job of the venture this year for them but the guys they need hicks stanton taurus frazier not doing it at all. Not cutting it out and now all that bad misses even before i get into the badness of what the yankees have done in their recent times against the tampa bay rays the yankees have now been swept by the rays at yankee stadium. Back to back years for the first time. Ever twenty twenty and twenty twenty one. The they they were swept three straight anti stadium. At least once tampa bay has now won fifteen of the last eighteen regular season games. The yankees fifteen of eighteen fifteen in three crazy. That's even counting when the tampa bay rays not the yankees out of the lds last year. The best of five series which they won three two two in a decisive game five the yankees lost five straight overall five ten worst in the american league. They sit in the basement. Like i said earlier for the first time since nineteen ninety-one just looking terrible. Now look at this. I was talking about how bad the yankee batting has been since this. The season started as all. Those guys are under performing. May expect them to break out. But when you look at the yankees they're They're pitching it's a. It's not a much better story as you see garrett cole and jordan montgomery this season are the only two holding a candle right now. Seven games forty one and two third innings twelve earned runs and two point six three era between the two of them. The other yankee starters combined having era over seven in the other eight games just terrible. The yankee bullpen has not been as dominant as it has been the past either but the yankees have a chance to make it right now as they host atlanta who is winning big tonight in chicago. But they've been off to a so so start so far this season And you've got to hope that. Maybe two games yankee stadium. The yankees can knock them around a little bit As as a because leibniz so-so-start but the yankees haven't even been so. They've been much worse than that. But after those next two games. Tuesday wednesday yankee stadium. They're going to be an eight-game road trip with foreign cleveland and foreign baltimore now..

"The gonna need help. There's twelve games rest in the season That they're going to help to in there but doesn't mean it can't be done as long as the rangers keep winning their games It can happen and this guy. It's all going to start on tuesday as now they had this four-game soft schedule with the devils out of the way they got eight out of eight points exactly what they needed to do. And now the islanders and everything else start on tuesday they gotta make sure that they beat the islanders on tuesday because the islanders playoff spot is solidified for the most part and unless they really gonna tank over the next month or so. The the islanders are you know look pretty locked in at either being potential division winners or at least maybe number two or three the are going to be there. The rangers and the other hand. There need a little help. And they're going to eat a little grit to get these These last few weeks under their belt Or could be like last year. Where if the rangers didn't get helped out by The the whole cova situation expanding the playoff format. The rangers especially with kreider injury probably would have missed the playoffs last year. a year ago. This time you know. I don't know if i would have said the same thing. Because i really really was blown away by the rangers. Look but if you really think about it especially that kreider. This time last year ranges probably missed the playoffs But different year different story. Let's see with rangers can do. And it's like i mentioned alexi lafraniere before The twenty twenty number one overall draft pick that the rangers had and if you look at his numbers since february twentieth when you got to remember too bad for year this guy. This kid missed pretty much year of hockey. He really hadn't played in a full year unlike eaten because he playing in the juniors and all the stuff with the with the extra you know protocols and canada where these guys weren't even really allowed on the ice for a lot of the time unlike in the states or in europe where you can at least get on the ice as long as you weren't around anybody but in in canada wasn't the same and Offering year it took a little while to find his game but it looks like the rangers really got another a really another young stood on their hands right now with lafraniere looking. He's taken his game to another level since february twentieth left year. Seven even strength. Goals are fifth among nhl rookies and his thirteen points. Our forth so you really starting to see that growth Him capo philipe till All these guys and crop off adding that gold today the two thousand eighteen number nine overall pick the rangers one of those early first round picks that the rangers new would take a couple years to develop Last year was a little rocky firm. He downs between the american league and The the h. l. over in russia He's back here now and he's playing great and it's great to see him on the ice as the to surging madison square garden teams Are you just on fire right now. And at the knicks. They're headed to the playoffs. And it'd be great if we get the rangers into and then who knows if If things break break the right way. The islanders won the division and the rangers finished fourth then in the first round of the playoffs this year..

"Like i said the next five will be So you know this is just something that The knicks are going to have to really look forward to and you know the way. This team is playing right now. They're bracing every single moment Congratulations to the knicks. You know winning six straight and regular season will make you feel good. It doesn't necessarily accomplish the goal. You still want to make the playoffs. You don't wanna collapsed down the stretch. There's still a few games left in the regular season to the playoffs. Starting a few weeks where you really have to batten down. The hatches cross. Ut's dot your. I's make sure this team is ready to go. And hopefully when you get there you get a guy like mitchell robinson back. Hopefully when you get there you know just that experience alone is going to be great for guys like emmanuel quickly. And obi toppin and frank ntilikina and even julius randle has never played in a playoff game and rj barrett. Of course so. I'm going to be a lot of these same things in a couple of minutes. Actually when i when. I start talking about the rangers and the the role that thereon as the to madison square garden teams really start to heat up in the late stages of their perspective seasons. But just i had to start off this episode by tip of my cat to tiptoe and everybody on that knicks team They got a hell of a team over there. Now you know a team that everybody counted out coming into this season. Nobody thought the next. You know when when you look at a lot of these numbers to. I mean the next this is just the fourth time since the twenty twelve twenty thirteen season that they've won thirty games now. This isn't a full eighty two game season. They're only playing seventy two games this year but that winning thirty two games or thirty games is not a good season. That means you're still going thirty two and fifty and that was porzingus is i two game First two seasons in the nba. They went thirty two and fifty and they went thirty one and fifty one. The only other time was was the last time the playoffs at thirty seven and forty five. So you know you can. You can say what you want but right now the fact that there are over five hundred have thirty wins and look like an end. The season over five hundred and potentially make their way towards forty wins. You gotta be happy with with how this is going especially intimidates. First year this team. That won twenty one games last year. Seventeen games the year before they went seventeen and sixty five. That's as bad as you can be ladies and gentlemen and you got a tip your cap to tiptoe and everybody on that knicks bench for what they've done and the excitement that they're bringing to madison square garden. And if we're gonna be talking about excitement at madison square garden you know what we might as well. Just turn the page to the new york rangers because new york rangers have been absolute role lately. There seven one and two in their last ten games..

"And you know we see it with the four guys on the rangers. He gives it a couple of years. Southern new york long island. You're gonna there's gonna be a lot of nhl lers coming from this area hockey state. It's it's getting cold enough now. I play hockey and winter. Yeah well i actually have a A twelve year old godson who is who's who's a goalie in his playing all over the place and he's he's incredible and i can't wait for another four or five years when he when he Gets to sign a contract. Maybe our team. But that's playing them moving. Oh yeah he's he's actually playing seventh grade actually playing on his ninth grade high school team. So yeah it's it's it's getting. It's getting there but yeah no pressure. No no pressure at all but Again we were talking about the division. And you know. I don't know i don't know how old you are and i'm not gonna ask. John and i have been following following hockey for the better part of five decades. And you know. I mean the biggest thing i've been enjoying the fact. Is that the you know the fact that the rangers and islanders get the plate eight times you know it's You know the the way the scheduling everything works. You know. it's it's it's four games a year. It just it just you know although it excites you a little bit. It's just not as much as this season where we're going to be playing eight times. I mean you know. It's too bad the fans really can't get to experience eight times a year though. Go better on the h. l. where they only played two opponents all year. That's crazy bill. Eastern division is just an absolute dog by you got some great teams in there and these are all teams. That will play each other a lot in the future. You got teams that are on the decline like pittsburgh and on the rise hopefully like the rangers and kill them saying this the flyers yet getting in these eighteen year eighteen each against them. It's going to build that rivalry. And i think it's going to make the playoff matchups going forward. Especially if the teams don't have much turnover down much more exciting and that much more like old time hockey. I remember the rangers and the devils in the ninety s I was too young for the eighties when the rain islanders. The rangers devils in the nineties. And then the rangers the bruins and the in the early twenty ten. Yeah it's just the rivalries there. It's just a different level of rivalry that anybody in the league has aside from maybe detroit in colorado. Yeah and yeah the intensity building this off lightness. I like it. I think it's li it lays the foundation. I mean series. But it's not just mean where you're gonna get a one nothing five on goal kind of a game. It's going to be mean but there's enough skill across the board. They're gonna get mean and fun to watch. I'm excited for that. It's rough this year. Is i have no desire to pace the bruins at the time this year for the flyers for them i mean could you could you imagine. Could you imagine you know like the situation. That saint louis and and arizona had where they had to play each other seven consecutive times over. Like yeah i would have lost my mind at the rangers out of play the islanders five times in in twelve days. I mean spanish. We played bad at the plane two penguins six times in a month but the play like mind plan the islanders six times in a row on one..

John six times twelve days eight times four five times five years four guys Southern new york long island two opponents this year ninth grade five seventh grade colorado four games a year twelve year old seven consecutive times eighteen eighties

"Grow circuit has been amazing in that. Yeah if they ever transitioned to him full-time over here you're going to start seeing them going on iran. While i'll tell you something we john. I talked us on the car on the way in You know it's all great you know. Having you know pick like alexei lafraniere. They know we'll talk about him later. I'm not I know. I see a lot of good things in him. But i'll tell you that key. Andre miller is once dud of a player it showed all the development skills that he got in the us development program. It's another testament to to the great work that they do and building some of these young kids and you know somebody said somebody's one of my friends. That's a real real big range of fan said to me. He says i guarantee you. He says you're going to be. You're going to be drooling over this kid any year. I'm drooling over this kid in about a month and a half. I did not expect him to do what he has done. So quickly and we knew he was the real deal we knew he had all the talent in the world but to step. In and instantly be a top pairing defendant. He's their best left defenseman right now. No cost and most ranger fans expected him be engaged l. for at least half a season with the rangers rotating between jack johnson brendan smith and maybe leo libor. Hayek on the blue line but he's been phenomenal and he's really helped. Get the rangers rebuild. Moving forward a lot faster and the rangers do love that. Us program they got records from the twenty twenty draft pick in In the past they've drafted from the us program. They've stripped down a little bit towards the euro leaks and this past year the whol but in the past they love the us national program and hopefully. That's a sign of things to come from the us hockey team in the olympics and in the world cup. If we ever get another one of those that's true that's that is a big difference. Though that that you know you. You know as i can you know. Obviously it's an island a fan. I don't i don't get to see that much of the rangers. It's it's interesting to me that the rangers really you know. You're hearing about draft picks for a change you know where the development of these these players who were stepping in and becoming you know really fixtures. A of part of the rangers are coming through the system. And you know. And i remember. There's a gentleman derek wozniak who who was a big ranger fan. Who's done shows here. And you know he used to lament on on the fact that the rangers really never you know relied on on the drafts. And we're always quick to trade away pieces to get guys to step in instantly. So i mean. Is this something you you've noticed too or you feel or or or are we. Just you know misreading here so in the we're talking about the pre lockout rangers where they did everything possible to basically throw as much money as they could any free agent and they were awful the ninety seven through two thousand four years for the dark ages..

alexei lafraniere Andre miller leo libor Hayek olympics ninety seven world cup jack johnson brendan smith about a month and a half two thousand four years one this past year half a season john twenty twenty draft derek wozniak least

"Top fourteen division making it. There's no assurance they're gonna make the playoffs this year but i think they'll compete for spot And we'll see where they go. But i think they're really set up. You know to to be good for a sustained period. Yeah you were talking about. I was gonna bring up. Andrea miller came from the You know a lot. A lot of great kids coming out of the us development team over the last few years and he was one of them and then play two years at wisconsin before signing his contract to me i he's been one of. I think one of the really nice surprises because to me. He's he is so coming out of that program. Most of those kids the us developmental group come out and when they when they hit the nhl. They're so compose. They're so it's such a seamless transition. It's like they've been playing in the nhl for five years and they're and they're such a young player and he just to me he just fits in to a t. between him. And as you said adam fox you know the defense on this team it to me. This is a cornerstone. And you these two guys if you keep them healthy you keep going there. They're part of your. You're the one you're number one through line for the next ten years. Yeah i mean and it was clear to you know i started covering the rangers. Lillard was right after the letter right. So i've been i've been here I've been watching just about since the rebuilt starts care down part of it started. And you know i really kinda kinda stepped in at a good time to see to see it all come together and it was clear that they really targeted defense in the reveal. I mean the the that twenty eighteen draft. I told you they had three first. Round picks they went into that with three first round picks. Two second round picks in two third round picks. Right yep And they you know. With their three first round picks they took a goal score and two defensemen and they they just kept. You're acting defensemen. And they kept the took a you know goalie in the second round even though they still had lundquist at the time and they had just durkan was playing in russia. They gonna come over at some point you know so they they really kind of identified the fact that okay we wanna have you know goldies and defenseman are commodities and they really kind of stockpiled as many of those as they could've kept drafting defensive matthew robertson that drafted you know so. They've kept drafting defensemen and they. They've stockpiled a lot of the percents. Been right now. You know people who said well there are a little thin they can use a left defenseman it. Okay maybe maybe this year but They've got a couple of kids down on the farm or in the system That are that are ready to step in imminently And so if that's one of the reasons why saying that they are Quite so well positioned For long term success but to get back to the original question you me a few minutes ago. The yard miller i get i got so wrapped up talking about him You know other things you know. Probably the nicest surprise if you will and to talk about on the on the other end of it you know The goaltending has been you know. The one thing that that i'd have to say you know it concerning because it's it's only eighteen but it needs to it needs to kind of raise to another level and we'll see You know we'll see if that can happen. I mean eagles historic and Struggled as you know that first game against the islanders And and really has been ordinary giving him some bad goals but he wanted to start We all thought that kwena would. Would you know ride that. And come back with them. you saturday against the penguins. And he didn't he went with alex. Give the other goalie and then But you know he said he's gonna alternate goalie so we we anticipate that and we'll play on monday And we'll see if he can kinda find themselves and find his game and get to where everybody expects them to be. Think like i said. I think throughout the course of the season i you can have your in your in your. You know your flows as as you know as guys get their legs under them. You know what i mean. Because he had that long break you know you had the tournament and you had the long break and then we had a very brief camp with really You know little exhibition involved. In fact i think it was just scrimmages. If i'm if i remember correctly yeah there were no preseason games right right. So what do you i i. I don't see the rangers having problem scoring goals. It was interesting because i read an article. When we when you were going to come on when you got the assignment. The game the the preseason. I had read an article earlier that day. And you know armchair. I you know you love armchair. Sports writers slash. Gm's but this was a ranger fan. Who is pining on the fact that the rangers absolutely had to get Do blah somehow and even if anti up giving giving up you know cocco or somebody. Somebody likes that because the rangers we're going to have trouble scoring goals. And i was kind of shaking my head and scratching my head at that because i. I didn't think the rangers problems is going to be scoring goals. I thought the defense would have the solidify. You know in front of the good because i felt the rangers were really going to have goaltending. That was going to steal games. And i didn't think goalscoring was going to be the problem. So what is what is your thought to kinda circle back with my question. I got off track here. Well no so yes that that have been what you would have expected right but The it's been i don't want to say the opposite or the reverse but but it hasn't panned out quite that that way but again you know you make the point. Where eight games in. And we didn't have a preseason and we only had you know a ten day training camp of which three days were you know. One day was a was a testing name in two days so really run ice for seven days before they play that first game. So i thought that you know and i and i talked to andrew gross about this on his podcast I thought that he islanders and rangers were well positioned. He'll given those circumstances because they they weren't bringing in a new coach they you know they didn't have a lot of new players coming in. I mean eighteen thinking rangers of eighteen players back from from the roster that ended last season right Of the twenty two players started this season. Eighteen will return and And the islanders were the same. The islanders had eighteen players back from last season. And that's a lot you know. Your whole core is back for the most part And the coaching staff. So there's continuity there so you figure that especially with the islanders. You know their lines were set There was only one line that that we didn't know it was going to be on it with that. So with the rangers You know were some. You know some questions just okay. Where's this guy gonna fit. Was the frontier gonna play razzie whereas cocco gonna play Basically you had eighteen guys back out of out of you know of your twenty two eighteen. We're coming back so. I figured that they would both teams would start off a little bit Stronger than they have to this point. But you know we we all. We've all written. That was fifty six games as a sprint. It's not a marathon and that may very well be true. But you still can't lose your my still have to learn things about your team right. I mean you still have to the new guys. You still have to see if they could play. You still have to see who they fit. Best with And things like that. So i mean you're still sort of feeling your way out here in these i eight ten games and then we'll see where you go. Now the trick is there. There are real points being awarded here. And you can't fall too far behind right Yeah so gotta get some points. Kind of stay But yeah you're gonna you're gonna need a little bit before you figure some stuff out. The rangers have had an injury The significant injury filipino. Who was probably the best surly. Best center In the i. I don't know four or five games that he played and then he got injured last week in pittsburgh and is is is out for four to six weeks. And yeah that long yeah. Yeah because he's twenty one and it's a big year for him and they want to see if he could be the the second line center and Any a it started off great and you know. He was teeming with cocco with the two of them. Were making beautiful music together and and so now it's you know that's that's on. Hold a little bit. And and we'll see how they get by without him for those four to six weeks and we'll see what he is when he comes back. You know but that's going to happen. I mean it's just that's that's part of its normal in any season he gonna have injuries. And it's how how do you navigate. You know the you know you know with those injuries and kovic to the mix and and it's gonna make things very very interesting in the long term own. Listen to appreciate you joining us for a little while we you know. We got off pace. And by the way the islander game overtime it's three three so Got a point. Then they did get point. Barzal scored late in the third to make it three three so Hopefully things will go better for us. Well listen we appreciate the few minutes Thanks for coming on you waiting on and again Have fun covering you know i. It's very interesting covering Hockey team during this time and You know try to try to make the most out of it right. I'm i'm enjoying it. You know it's fun to have All these long island guys on the roster the start tomorrow against pittsburgh and that'll be long island guys in the lineup rubbing list the.

Andrea miller pittsburgh five years Barzal four eighteen players adam fox five games Lillard two years fifty six games twenty two players six weeks saturday eighteen guys two guys Eighteen two days two two defensemen

"A guest at timothy healy on twitter. If you want to know your mets us and with that. Like to welcome to the program tonight. Tim how're you doing tonight. I am excellent thank you. How are you Very well very well. Thank you just get my fill of football today. Have you been checking out. Any of the games i i as a new englander natively i watched the buccaneers and tom brady very closely today so it's been football day for sure so you root for brady as a new englander i am i am. I'll be honest. I know. Maybe i should have that feeling. I just can't find it in me to be angry about it. So i joined this playoff good for them. Good for them. I agree i agree. Especially brady's give you guys so much joy over the years if he could get one last one with tampa bay. I'd be reformed to there. You go exactly. And i'm a jets fan and i have no animosity towards tom brady at all. So let's probably probably leaves you in the minority. Does i definitely catch a lot. Of flack from my jet fan friends for i'm one of i just can't hate greatness. You're good with brady. One of the best of all time but you know. I just like to thank you for for joining tonight. I'm a big fan of your work absolutely absolutely and I'm sure being a mets beat writer. There's there's never a dull moment seems to always be something popping up for this team. I mean all these shenanigans of the last few years with the wilpon and you know there's always something going on. That fans are complaining about and thought that we got this shining light and stevie cohen. That came here. And i think he's definitely done a really great job of putting a new face on this team and everything but then unfortunately it seems like the mets are snake bit and again as they have to let go of jared porter after this pitchers controversy and everything like that pops up What are your thoughts on how. The mets handled the jared porter controversy and with how quickly they dealt with it and got rid of him. I thought they handled it well. There really was only one decision to make it easy. Decisions made it quickly and they fire correct as soon as that story came out on. Espn late monday night. Last week he he was cooked no they could possibly keep him. Especially in the context of steve cohen has faced some sex discrimination and stopped in his hedge fund their employees You know litigating that right now. so The mets had no choice but the fire jarred quarter and they did it quickly and alderson. His news conference a few hours later and he said basically all right things. I think You know bad situation like that so ms wise it's over lists. I think if you're the cubs who employ jared border. At the time he conducted himself this way. Or if the diamondbacks perhaps who hired him a couple of months later than maybe you're doing a little more soul-searching about Your culture and things like that mets wise you know made from here on out say improve their vetting process in some way But that'll be another verse across actually make another big higher which they are not going to right now. Okay well that was my next questions. So you think the mets are just gonna stay pat. Do you think that that. Sandy is taken the brunt of the gm responsibilities right now. Yeah that's that's pretty much the way it's gonna work Sandy alderson signed up to be team president. Which in effect is the job. That jeff wilpon had previously And the plan was for sandy to hire a president of baseball operations to work under him. And then general manager who worked under both of them going to have to top baseball executives And now he has neither of those things so sandia stuck doing the job that he didn't exactly sign up for when agreed to join. Steve cohen in this endeavor But that's the job he has now. Zac scott who was hired as assistant. Gm the week after the mets hired quarter. He is in sandy's inner circle So he's you know the assisting pile but fix to said he'll be taking out some responsibility now that there's no actual. Gm no doubt about it. No doubt about it now now. They're going to run it this way for the twenty twenty one season. But you see. I mean i know a lotta met. Fans are very hopeful. And even before they hired jared porter there was a lot of whispers. That feel epstein. Now do you think that maybe with porter being out do you think if they you know. I know i've seen had spoken about wanted to take twenty one off for his family and spent some time self reflection and everything on those lines. But you think maybe in october twenty twenty one after this season closes at a and the mets are looking for a new front office personnel. Do you think that is a chance. Theo epstein Gets a call from the mets. I think there is close to zero percent chance. That often comes to work for the mets and You know i. I think that'd be a lot of fun to cover as a reporter. I think it would be great for mets fans if that did happen but that's just it just doesn't line up Theo said he wants to take twenty. Twenty one off he just got hired by the commissioners office who is going to be working for. Mlb for the next year at least you know. I guess we'll see how that role develops over the course of time But if if the oh does get back into the king side of things the expectation is that he'll want a of ownership and i don't think steve cohen interested in giving up any piece of the team that he just worked so hard to buy And then the other thing too. Is that the oh and sandy are basically peers on the same level right Theo ran the show in the way. Sandy does for the mets and for theater. Then take a job with the mess. That's basically less than the job he had with the cubs would just the. It's it's kind of a setback for him So while i think every team's goal to be the higher ufc I don't see it happening.

Sandy alderson tom brady Steve cohen Zac scott Theo steve cohen twitter Tim Last week jeff wilpon next year epstein tonight sandia Sandy today brady zero percent october twenty twenty one both
