"About it what people don't realize we can go further in this. You know the average football players on won't be a NFL for three years so really just Like your like picking what she had to go. So vital because you wanna get as much money, you can because people look at the earth around an artist kind of stuff man NFL players. Like eighty percent. The debates it or eighty, eight percent up there. I approached by threes at the for sure and it's just a shame thing. So this is very important. It's a big difference in money between OUGHTA rounds so like. Decision is very tough and not being able to play. The, and then another thing that not only nightmare to play not being the commission. So like some some. So as a DVD, you know especially with a lot of people are often out here. You know you're not gonNA play a lot of those the league NFL. House. In the fall. You have that chance to get that fail that they create or out about stuff like that right? But. Gets a lot of things to think about. Our Jim. Fastest you know be it might need to transfer. Because of the fact that it's not that they don't like the fact that because moving to the spring might hurt now to the point where they might need to go someplace else where they can get on the field. Players might not get on the field because. There's no Parisian Racial GonNa stay. Yeah it really is especially when they announced it won't count as a year. It's like that. All you do. You created a traffic jam in every school. It's just. Curious your thoughts on the whole like I know how states trying to work on a January season people are talking about spring seasons all this nonsense I mean certainly Sean I don't WanNa put words in your mouth, but he wouldn't consider playing spring season at Ohio state. Woody. To know the answer to that question. No I think you all know the answer that question. But if you really want to hear from the Horse's mouth, you WanNa hear Randy talk about the future for Sean and really all of the draft eligible players make sure you check out our hybrid subscription model two dollars ninety, nine cents. The cool thing is you could do an annual subscription now on patriots just introduced it and get. Fifteen percent off. So you can get, you can literally get all these episodes for like two bucks a month. So go on and check it out help support the show help support what we're doing. We really appreciate it appreciate you coming on and for those that are subscribers or that want to subscribe. We have a whole nother twenty minutes of that interview where Randy talks about his podcast. Daddy's bowl is the name of it and we also get into kind of what what their big picture vision is. I mean moving forward. Obviously, they don't believe there is going to be a full season. They don't think they can make that change but I guess we really dive into more. What is the objective of this movement? What is Randy Wade, and these collective group of parents is trying to get accomplished moving forward what is the big picture goal and we talk about also the recruiting ramifications of this kid from the Saudis Kid from Jacksonville Florida family from Jacksonville Florida five star. All everything. COMES DOWN TO BAM in Ohio State, picks Ohio state, and just got really got his perspective on what this is going to do to a kid. You know from a distance because how recruited in national level and people can say what they want about Ohio state. And they'll be fine. I'll get through it. This is going to drastically change. I've said it one hundred times drastically change what goes on when they go recruit a kid in south Florida go recruit a kid in Dallas Texas go recruit a kid in San Diego California like, Chris Oh lava. DRESSING WE'RE GONNA change you'll hear Sean Sean Wade and Randy waits opinion of it in the second half of that episode's check it out on patriotic dot com forward slash menace to sports for like literally annual subscription to two fifty a month or something less than that. So check it out I. Also WanNa talk about kind of the silver lining here there is a silver lining. It's very minute. There's a silver lining and you get to the plant. So I talked to people some people in recruiting in the big ten and here's the problem. A lot of people have talked about. Well, the state staff needs to go and just go to every high school game. Watch these kids play really kill recruiting and that's True, they do need to kill it in recruiting because time is the greatest asset that coaches don't have enough of their time is maxed out in season. You have time for nothing nothing but game planning football, and his is minimal recruiting as you could fit in as much as you can fit in, but it's not a lot. So Ohio State, the silver lining is they have an opportunity to attack recruiting. With the same schedule as an season coach, we went through if you want to go back way back into the, so you want to be a coach the the week. I guess schedule of a big time college football coach like one hundred and I can't remember what it was. Hundred fifty hours hundred and sixty hours a week. Something insane and you they take all that time and invested in recruiting it. They will. They will find a lining in this mess. Now, what they can't do is there is still a travel restriction they can't go to any games they can't leave campus they can't go travel to see kids. So that's out the window that's going to be at least until December they also are not allowed to host official visits until December. So what you're going to have is a signing class of kids that sign early that never took an official visit to Ohio. State and less they came before the pandemic in quarantine and shutdown perhaps never came to a high state at all. Think about that but that's every school in the country. They're not gonNA be able to have official visits in the South this is the NCAA rule the SEC we'll have no official visits in the south. Or really anywhere I guess but obviously, the South but was silver lining is just that what I said they need to commit that same season scheduled to recruiting and try to. Gain an edge, but but try to keep this an even playing field until they're able to get back on the fall in my opinion once the election's over, which isn't a convenient the new season's going gonNA kick off right after the election who thought but yeah, all the people that think it's play your safety. You guys you got it. You got it all figured out. It's not about the election at all because the. Corona virus will be gone in November thanksgiving comes and the corona virus will be gone and everyone can play. It has nothing to do with the election nothing at all fucking idiots but anyways thank you for tuning in really really would appreciate it. If you check out our Patriarch Platform, it's ninety nine a month like I mentioned annual subscription get.

"I today who was supposed to do something about a ratio equality on the best also handed me in addition and doing what he's doing. You know but the thing about. With the has nothing to do with it. Playing not-so-good Noble has nothing to do that. You know I really wish stay. The way he did everything wrong with rattle. Bait. And and there's GonNa be a process and this this thing about it if they played this. Game. So we get enough information for US remember comes they made me we can play. So I did it right? Exactly. So I I've talked about on on the show a number of times and I just look at and I don't know where you guys are at. Personally but I, just think about a guy like Sean who's very different than a guy like Jonathan, Cooper Jonathan Cooper. Year because injuries because of XYZ he needed this year to kind of show what he can do whereas Sean was going East projected a high draft pick coming out last year, and you guys made a great decision to come back and really maximize him and try to move way up in the draft and just. Being Twenty twenty already know that that probably makes you pissed but I'm just I'm trying to think. That decision eight months ago, and then now this guy just robs you of that opportunity when you love I, mean money was left on the table because you guys came back and now he took away the whole opportunity. Yeah, and the thing about it shine as soon as. He going first round. He's good but it's so many players on the team alone even thinking about the big ten across the board that have to make a decision on is it good but in the spring and you already don't have as a parent already don't care enough inquest. Hank. Agent and you know you work. But agent have you don't sound which he worked with. I'm hoping that you worked with a couple agency different information. From my upstate and stuff like that. But a.

"Everything everything for the meeting stuff like that and so we're gonNA containing to get stories out get our our conversation out to try to be more at a good have a conversation with them. You know We're not a letter at a higher stake. The big big. Pants united. Parcel of? Breast. On us. Open things up. So you just trying to whole. Perspective hangings try to open back up safely eventually. Get Conversation Starter. Yeah absolutely been put put a little pressure like you I mean. The fact that you guys don't have a voice or you have the. You know the old saying you have a horse in the race. Kevin. Worn doesn't these presidents? Don't you have your son is one of the one of the players that's in the race. The fact that you have no voice is I mean it's astonishing and ridiculous if you ask me. So The. Thing that just heart wrenching and we? In the pants made a big team. Meeting so. I. GotTa sit down and watch while he goes with market same state. It's just it doesn't make and don't give me that he's adult because if I tell us trying to do something I pay for beer you know. Last. Eight hundred dollars. that. I. Just don't. KNOW IF I. Think about Your like. You know it's like do what I say that they would I good. Crate well I. I. Immediately Thought Sean and Justin, fields and Wyatt Dave three, the and Jonathan Cooper the four that I've really jumped to the front of my mind when he when Kevin warm made the statement that you know it's been a lot of hard conversations a lot of hard decisions but they sat down as a family and decided it was best that his son play a meanwhile he is robbing you and your family the same opportunity to sit down as a family and decide if sean should play and Justin fields from sitting down with his family and so I'm just curious. Your thoughts, not not only on Kevin Warren's leadership. Thus far. But also just a message he's been pushing now he he's focused on voting. He's focused on election and he's focused on all these political things and I'm curious just from your perspective as he robbed you of that Opportunity, and now he's out pushing for voting and you and he's almost being transparent that this was a political move and not a player safety move I'm just curious. Where do you? Where do you sit on how how does that sit with you? Is. that. He's pushing I agree with you right. Had nothing to take. Exactly. Exactly. Some of the things that he great.

"Of the recant with just not helpful. The The. Facing now I really hoping I, really. Hope we. See that really care about academic but we think pan is one of the top consciously. United. States and that being said. You see other people playing. We've seen a fifty years probably the only playing in. Ohio you know and the C you know. They out doing whatever they can do you know and if it doesn't work out, you know shut everything down at least you try. Values. Hoping. And Thank. You can't take time right. So this is going to make a cluster in recruitment. It's GonNa shut down recruitment for a lot of different. Organizations some kids. Heart. Faces don't even know what's going to go because of the fact that you're going to have people there's not going to end up leaving and going through the NFL even GonNa pay that one more year was just it's going to be crazy the effects of let us not. Just, wild and especially nationally. Always do well in Ohio but I think they're gonNA feel an impact nationally for sure like you said now tell me. So next step, let's let's talk about moving forward. Obviously there's a big you kind of or or help organize protests on Saturday I've already tweeted about how how we're GonNa to you use this platform to help energize it, expand it, whatever we can do to help I mean we we obviously feel very passionate that the big ten should be playing football. So tell me about the protests, this Saturday at the horseshoe and what's going on what time where people should go and what they should do. So educow- go rally a lot of a third. So we didn't get. We only had about six or seven a highway parents out there, but it was it was impactful the stories they told. So we're going to do the same thing and come on come on and the biggest thing about is not thousands. Of Fans to show up, so can be big as big as possible. A. Production issues, all the equipment stays. Everything everything for the meeting stuff like that and so we're gonNA containing to get stories out get our our conversation out to try to be more at a good.

"Information out everywhere you know McCain on his. Team of. A. Couple, of days with ESPN and Bringing more awareness to try to get everyone to the top to. The bottom line. Is this recruits and their parents see how we been treated? And we WANNA ask a couple of questions. Why would you wanNA come into the big K vices especially if you down down so why would you wanNA come out way up here and this guy? I don't even WanNa talk to the parents. It's just it's just really frustrating. So as an Ohio state guy that's been my biggest frustration. Obviously, I coached it off state I've recruited everywhere I actually stopped by Trinity Christian. When I think Sean was a sophomore just because I was in the area and so I've been I've been doing it forever and my whole thing has been what you just said like you know how hard it's going to be and I want to to do well like I this this breaks my heart but you know how hard it's going to be going down South where I recruited. South Florida for eight years. It's hard. It's going to go recruit south Florida Ohio State University after this especially, without Kevin warns an ailing it. It's unbelievable and I'm curious now because you have a different perspective than the kid that grew up in, you know Dublin Ohio or Reynoldsburg Ohio and went to Ohio state you have a much different perspective. I, mean your son was one of the top corners in America coming from. Trinity. Christian in Jacksonville. Pixel. Ohio state basically over Obama and the whole country and just now hindsight being twenty twenty. Where where's your heart and your mind at with with everything that Kevin Ward in the big ten office has done. I. Know I'm imagine you've had a very positive experience with Ohio state, but just talk to me about the big ten brand and now. The taste in your mouth now because of all this. Yeah. You know they've been so good to cause. A lot of issues didn't bad stuff it and it turned out to be consistent graduating the capital He was automatic increasing anything. Like that the Hawk Insurance Lael but it's just a shame that the leader. Of the recant with just not helpful. The The. Facing now I.

Pay For the kids that that makes me. So I mean right. The reason the guy has a job is because all your kids are out there playing for for the conference for the schools it's wild. Tell me about obviously you you started a movement and a bunch of parents flew to Chicago to basically just put on public display to say we want we want open communication. We WanNa talk we want some transparency tell me about that whole process just the the trip there how it went and what happened. So. You know put up there call. Monday I put my fitness online with for my Kinda. Funny. Somebody can't go ahead read by figures when I got there which is odd. You know so. The beauty week a disjointed week. Talks over forty different media podcast. Yes. A serious. XM programs and just to get information out there. You know like every pump parents show look and really the Phoenix and the thing about it it was more media. And more police officers than it was parents, I? mean. It was kinda crazy. But just that thirty offhand got.

"The most disgraceful and negative president in the history of Ohio State University the worst president in the history of a University of over one hundred years. He steps in and brings up Kevin Warrant brings him to the table. I Guess Kevin Warren Killed The interview did great. That's great. People interview well sometimes and doesn't mean they're competent or good higher and Michael Drake begins campaigning and pushing and lobbying to get Kevin Warren. The job over Jim Phillips Fast Forward To August Twenty, twenty and Michael. Drake just drove the stake in the heart of Ohio State football one final time albeit from across the country, he brings in Kevin Warren. To be the. The next heir of the big ten conference and he gets these presidents. To Swear Him in Kevin Warren Unknown Democrat Michael Drake Known Democrat I mean he donated thousands of dollars to Kamala, Harris Senate campaign in California. Thousands of dollars. So Michael Drake is as liberals they come. He wants president trump out more than anyone as does Kevin Warren So here we are August twenty twenty and the big ten can't play football because they want you the people to believe that Donald Trump is the reason he didn't handle the pandemic correctly he didn't he didn't act swiftly. That is why we can't play football and that's why you need to vote in November. The audacity. We know we know bread president trump's to blame. It's all his fault. That's why we don't have football and Joe Biden we'll fix it all and like I said before I'm not even going to get into politics on this show. Clear evidence facts of what's going on. Don't say it's player safety don't try to tell me that it's it's anything other than eighty percent politically motivated and twenty percent trying to suppress the voices and unity of college athletes right to amateurism keep them amateur. And really excited to bring Randy wait on program here in a minute to talk about that because what they're doing right now I believe has a astronomical impact on the future of college athletics and College Athletes Families just the simple fact that Kevin Warren comes out after the fact and again after he cancelled the season talks about these next couple of months or critical, these athletes need to get get ready to vote and Get Out and vote register to vote, and then he also when asked about his son playing an SEC has the audacity to say, well, we we had a lot of hard conversations we sat down as a family and decided that's what's best for him while robbing the right of Randy weight and his Family Sean Wade and his family for having the same conversation and making the same decision. It's absolutely criminal it's absolutely criminal. Enough about that I promise I'm GonNa move on eventually from that but I have to go through what is going on. I WanNa make sure that this is crystal clear. If you vote to unseat Donald Trump because it college football, you are absolutely just playing right into what the democratic plan has been all along. I'm not saying we shouldn't unseat the guy I'm not saying he should get reelected. I'm just saying if that's rationale you've been severely duped. So, let's talk about what the plan is. As it stands right everyone has plans I mean purdue presented a plan Nebraska you're here in a minute Sean Randy Wade was on a zoom call with multiple schools and their parents association about what their course of action is going to be part of that's going to be a protest on. Saturday. So make makes you check that out eleven am in the Rotunda. but the plan right now as it stands Ohio, state is trying to. Present this plan and Ryan as they've mentioned it, it's been public that they want to start the season in January, not a spring season in the the more I think about it. That's the only. Pseudo. Realistic. Chance of playing two seasons in a year I don't think that that's I still don't think that's smart or safe. This bullshit season in twenty twenty one in the spring or winter will be a jv season. You're going to hear it from Randy wait a minute when I asked him if Sean will play in a January season amongst justin fields and why Davis and everyone else that I believe will not play but you'll hear from him whether Sean will consider that or not in the second half this episode. So how state wants to formally begin practice after Thanksgiving practice all of December when students are home right in a pseudo bubble like environment, right? No students on campus and they'll be able to practice and prepare, and the season would start January first and all the Games will be located in Indianapolis Detroit and Minneapolis in the domes and just wild to think about we could crown a national champion in early January and then watch Ohio state begin their season. Because I. Don't know if you know this or not but they are pushing forward every day. There's new things that come out about schools that are now talking about their fan capacity they're not talking about if they're gonNA play when they're going to play or how they're gonNA play, they're talking about how many people will be allowed to attend the game as fans. So. We just a race all the people that are that are fearmongers in doubters thought this was just a ploy by the south to to you know prolonged the the chances of playing but ultimately would cancel it. We're proving that they were dead wrong always were wrong. These people are pushing forward to play simple as that and they're gonNA play. So it's just Really, a stain in the big ten's underpants. I mean you got skidmarks Kevin Warren in your Britches, and here we are no football in the big ten. So I'm GONNA be curious. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA jump here with Randy on the phone. So we can get his insight into this but I wanted to share that information with you before we got to Randy and. Just kind of let you know where my head was at what I've been hearing and what the I guess. The insiders in the Midwest are saying and they're saying Notre Dame's GONNA play how states not but here get with randy way right now on menace sports. I very fortunate here on Minister Sports have a big big name guest especially, not only just general but considering what's going on right now we have. Randy. Way Sean, Wade's father and a really an an activist almost right now for players advocacy and trying to get these players and families in really you guys heard ray how you doing I appreciate you coming on. The manpreet. Home Man Regular break with you about what's going on this weekend? No doubt. I'm mostly you know I think everyone is watching because this is so paramount and so wild what is going on and so you have been so vocal and you have such a unique unique vantage point right? You had your son was a projected high draft pick came back for one more year of development to try to boost his stock and this mess happens and So I think you have the most unique perspective of anyone outside of maybe one or two other kids that might be in a similar situation but I really want to get to to what happened here with with you go into Chicago and what's went on since then because what what what I understand is this there's a unification of parents going on multiple schools and Parents Association has been very vocal. You have been extremely vocal and I just am curious like all right in your mind as you go through this process, what is the goal? What do you think you guys can get accomplished and how do you think this you uniting with other schools is going to help. So I think, I will call a big Fan Passion. and. It's basically could narrow down everybody go. So we hang an put more pressure on the big team and our university president to see what at what happened and. How could we not just push back for October November? Rain a high. Arrives not while they're. Working. Right absolutely absolutely I mean that I mean I think everyone knows my opinion I, think you know my opinion I don't think this should ever been canceled I think they should have just tested the waters and see how it went and a little anything else. There's if there's an outbreak if it ends up not going well, you cancel it, you pull the plug I don't think pull the plug on something from the front end has there been any communication with either Kevin Warren or Christina Johnson the president of Ohio State amongst, your parents, and you know between the.

"Episode one, twelve it's amazing. you start planning these episodes in advance and you start losing track of which one you're actually recording as you're writing two to three episodes in it in advance. But thank you for joining us on Minister. Sports really want to jump into this show and talk about kind of what has transpired I promise. I'm almost done with covering the cancellation of the big ten. It's just talk about an open wound deep wound at that a big wound so we will move on eventually get back to. The content that really that I WANNA do I don't WanNa talk about this bullshit i WanNa talk about college football who's good why they're good why they are one why they lost I can't wait to do that unfortunately as as bitter sweet that as that will be, I won't be talking about any big ten teams. Thank you courtesy of Kevin Warren I wanNA. Talk about that for a minute but first those you and high th Ohio the good news is the only people not playing football are going to be Ohio state. Scholarship athletes I mean the Cincinnati bearcats are playing the browns. The bengals high school football is kicking off what next week and the outside the MAC and Ohio state scholarship athletes everyone else is playing I mean, my son's ten year old football starts next this week, and then also I don't know if you saw but we'll have state just sent out an email to people on campus about their intramural and recreational sports that are going to take place this fall. So you can play flag football on campus and and and do what you do normally the only people that can't play or the scholarship athletes with millions of dollars being spent to keep them safe and. Clean Environment and to prevent the spread of covid anywhere else that is not safe and not a lot of money spent to keep people safe. It doesn't matter you guys can play but the ones that actually have a plan a detailed plan and have the finances to ensure that it's the safest Environ possible. They're the ones that cannot play. And I WANNA talk about how this happened because several new things have come to light and I am now I started this out saying this is a liability issue and it was all legality had nothing to do with player safety and I think that is partially true. I think. It also has to do with the unity shown for the two conferences that had a coalition of players come together and write a letter I think that's a very small portion of this the more. And more I divulge dive into this I am realizing that this is far more political than anything and it just goes to show you. You look at the states that are playing college football seventeen of the eighteen states that postponed or canceled football have democratic governors in those states twenty five of thirty two states that are playing football have Republican governors. So don't tell me that this is a political I mean you could draw your own conclusion, but I'll draw it for you. Those governors are canceling football so that people feel like shit about this pandemic even though sciences saying they should be playing. I. Mean every day something new comes out to show that these kids can play safely as safe as anything else they do. But the states are shutting down football. So people feel miserable about what happened and the response was fucked up whether you believe it was or wasn't. It doesn't matter because we should be able to play safely. They want people to feel miserable solit- when they go into this November election, they unseat Donald trump that's it, and I'm not saying that he shouldn't be on onset but the fact that they're weaponising football. Youth Football College football is just criminal and I want it goes all the way back to June Fifteenth Pete Thamel wrote an article. We're GONNA get into the politics of how this all happened. He wrote an article. If you haven't seen it, look it up the title the article June Fifteenth Amidst this pandemic the title is can the big ten swing a presidential? Election Question Mark Kevin Warren wants to find out. Think about that. Amir. Before he canceled the College Football Season and I'm GONNA explain to you why. He canceled it for political motivations, Pete Damn Right. There's a good chance. The next leader of the United States will emerge from voters in swing states in the big ten conference's footprint five states that President Donald Trump won in two thousand sixteen were democratic states when Barack Obama won the election in two, thousand, twelve, Pennsylvania Ohio Michigan. Wisconsin and Iowa ultimately, this election will be decided by those five States First Year Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren has made it a priority that the conferences nearly ten thousand athletes will have a say in that election. Warren is in charge is in just his fifth month in charge. This is back in June of the fourteen member league and the big ten announce a League wide voter registration initiative, which will include nonpartisan education and a deeper understanding of registration voting and voter suppression. He's quoted as saying from a social change standpoint I think our biggest asset is our right to vote and to be an educated voter. All right. Let me give you my opinion to that. That's awesome. Absolutely educate them the student athletes on how to make sure they register. Certainly don't try to influence their decision. Let them make their own decision, but help them realize their power and ability vote. But the fact that we're taking that and putting it above playing football is what's criminal here. And I WANNA go back to how Kevin Warren this clown show got put in front of and put in charge of the big ten conference. He's arguably the most powerful man in college football especially as evident now. So. Let's rewind to about what a not even a year ago. Longtime Commissioner Jim Delany announces. He's going to retire anyone that knew anything in the mid west new. Assumed that his successor would be Jim Phillips the athletic director at northwestern. It was a foregone conclusion that that was going to happen. Until they go through the interview process and Buckeye fans. Gosh. Aren't you're GonNa love to hear this Michael.

Adam Schefter reporting 12 presumptive positive test for the Vikings as wells. We will talk about that here on Sunday morning on ESPN radio, but Let's get to our next guest here. Join us on the shell. Pennzoil Performance line. Randy, wait for Ohio say, is he not there, guys. She's not there, okay? Not there yet. We're going to get to that in a matter of moments, but the story coming out, we'll get to Randy. Wait in a matter of moments, but about the big 10. And the fact that you had the Big 10 office kind of operating, according to the Omaha World Herald in silos and discussing certain things, Kevin Warren with the athletic directors who By all accounts most, if not all, the athletic directors wanted college football to take place. They were in favor of it. But then the presidents and chancellors were on the other side, saying, No, we don't want to do that. We had Ryan Smith on last segment. Last hour, ESPN legal analyst mired Metcalf saying that Look, the the lawsuit from the Nebraska parents might actually work said It's a 50 50 proposition not for return to play but for more transparency and some of the information to come out about why they made the decision that they did. Yeah, I think you've mentioned this multiple times on the show Matt At the end of the day, the big 10 will have to find a way to recover from this from an image standpoint, because this is a lot of turmoil. They're going to have to, and it's going to be interesting to see what happens there. Randy, Wait is Thie Father Sean Way? The Ohio State parent who was kind of one of the leaders of this of this protest at the Big 10 office on Friday, joins us now on Sunday morning on ESPN radio. Randy, What did you want to accomplish on Friday? Uh, this communication, um, set a lot of communication and start something that you know it's a bit more than letters and petitions. Justin feels the pain. The effort of the Big 10 office. I think we all understand. Kevin Warne is certainly the face of this. But why are we seeing more protest outside the offices of the president's throughout the big tent actually voted it made these decisions. Being there Things like some great idea, but we should look into somebody you might happen. Have you have you had conversations or correspondence with leadership in Ohio State, specifically the president. No, I don't mean I don't. I don't want it. That's not me. That's not my issue. My issue is our kid. Uh, one more conversation, more clarity, more transparency about using that thing came about and what can we do further to make a football and a teacher? That's not me. I'm just the battery since the alternator Libya I'm just the match started. The current president of the different organisations are getting together this week and they're the ones we're going to organize. Communication between President of communication between Kevin one If you ever thought you were just the master, Have you heard anything? Has your group heard anything from anyone associated with the big 10? No, not that I know what I I talked to parents from. You know, Nebraska. I will, um, from Purdue from 66 things. As far as I know, none of us heard it. But I don't speak for everyone. Everyone starting to get together. Now we're gonna have a couple meetings today to see what our next steps are and kind of open there. I'm curious about this ever how much of this is tied? So the concern that we might not be able to play football in the spring either. Best way is if people got stop saying we just want football we just want for about You say this conference in the country? We feel that Saying things were handled was just it was crazy, and we just for luck, but not a scheduled for this stuff. You couldn't explain that the same thinking keys. We don't want the head if you do not bring that fire, But let's get some communication to make sure everything is in place. The doctors will be disappointed and have to play to spring and kids that get in the cab playing offering kids gotta talk to agent to make sure you get a good idea for them to do it. You know, so like The insurgency is very important. You know, People don't want to look a college football reasons, but it's a business for these kids up. Randy Wade, father of Ohio State cornerback Shawn Way, joining us here Sunday morning on ESPN Radio. Matt Check along with mired Metcalf. Kevin Warren sent out that letter to the Big 10 community. Late last week. Why was that letter? Not good enough? Because it was specifically didn't tell me the reason that he shows not play in the fall, and it did it. Say what schools Chose voted against. No one knows if they had a vote, but they didn't have a vote. We just want to know who want people to stand up and say, Okay, we chose not to have a vote because of this, you know, and because of whatever you say we want to know what's going to be different in this plane. You know what's the time frame in spring? Right now on ESPN dot coms. NFL mock draft for 2021 Your son right now is listed as the eighth Vic. In that upcoming draft. If Shawn finds out that the big 10 has found a way to play, let's say an eight game schedule in the spring. What does Sean do, knowing that he has that NFL opportunity waiting right there for For the first round of play, because, uh, draft and come by so close when it happened. Come off. If you have a good son, you keep that that, uh That mark and in whatever it is, yes, it don't matter. It's about the teams looking at him for NFL. People think that all these months thereafter there but have your school stuff like that, But it's about really The college football teams inspection looking at, you know, they give you the opportunity to get sick so hard, so so not planning a spring, So whatever people do not even think about it if they get the ball to combine in a draft How far back would they have to move it for you to consider it? What kind of gap would there have to be between football and those events? Something close to the original Get that you have on a regular year. You know, on a rear on a regular feeding your hospital, you know, trying to make the playoffs and all that kind of stuff that that same kind of Randy if you don't get the big 10 putting out the schedule for the upcoming season, and then the delay days later Would we see the same backlash the same response from you all?.

"They were essentially blindsided by the League's decision but Kevin Warren also said that if he had to go back and do it again, they would make the same decision they would postpone. Because it's in the best interest of the student athletes. Again, he says the most important words in the entire thing will not be revisited. So whatever glimmer of hope people had watching Justin fields and whatever else it is he clearly closes the door that now I know there were a group of parents that have been very vocal in their disapproval of all of this and they've been talking about going down there and demanding answers. What reaction did he have for them? Well quite frankly, he said that the big ten offices in Rosemont Illinois close they have been closed for the pandemic and the staff has been working remotely from home but there are some players parents who can. Show up there and he said at at at the proper time and in the proper setting, he would be willing to meet with them but he did say the offices are closed. I think that there will still be some parents who will show up there on Friday morning possibly wearing their their team jerseys. Statement Randy Wade. He's flying up from Florida. He's one of Ohio state's parents. He said he plans to do it because he's still not happy with the letter and he pointed out that Kevin Warren Son is playing for Mississippi state powers and that's one of the reasons the parents said, why can his son play in mind can't? Yes. I can't make up my own mind whether just how significant that is to this but the optics of it are obviously disastrous. Here are Desmond Howard and Paul Finebaum to bring us some perspective on all this Paulhamus going to give you the floor. We saw the letter yesterday here there's additional insight. What are your thoughts? Too late greedy. You can't put the genie back in the bottle An-, and while I respect Kevin Warren no her moderately well. He's proving to be a rookie in the biggest moment in his career and of the biggest moment in college football existence and he continues to fail to saying, oh I wish I could do it over again. That's like running a stop sign during the your driver's Ed test come on i. mean he flat out fluid now? I'm not saying he blew the decision we don't know yet. Whether. There's going to be people that are very upset and there after I've been on a lot of different radio stations, I've had I've probably done five hours of radio outside of my own show in the last like five or six days. It's only you're upset write your congressman write your senator. Richard Governor Right your state reps get a hold of them because they're the ones that ultimately shaped the board and the governance of how these universities operating. If you don't like it in the presence there picking in the decisions that are making, take it up with them and those people are survivors by nature, and if they feel like the one thing I like you know being in Boston you understand this. Nothing unifies probably Boston like the Patriots like the Red Sox like the Celtics nothing unifies Ohio, whether you're. Conservative liberal, Republican Democrat, black white. Any of these things don't matter on Game Day you're a Buckeye man and if that's being taken away, that's something that everybody can get behind and so I guarantee you.
