"Classic. Where Wade killer interviews one of pro wrestling's newsmakers five years ago? There was a hall of fame ceremony. And it was a long-awaited one macho man. Randy savage finally inducted deservedly. So into the wwe hall of fame after a long not detailed grudge. That McMahon and company had against Macho man fans kept asking kept asking kept asking and after a lot of other bridges that had been burned had been rebuilt with other stars Randy savage got his turn and leaping Lanny Pafko was therefore to give moving speech a funny speech and stand on stage in duct. The brother the big brother that he does so much. I had a chance to talk to lanny. Just days after he inducted Macho Man Randy savage for nearly two hours. This was a really really fun. "Randy savage history sports you name it and these are all topics that everybody should know about and by that we kind of take for granted okay so let's plan example her love are on this thing by the way I was looking at the back here but tell me what's what's going on let me start playing the game was the first thing we do so first the game takes place in space and there's an alien life form that she's on knowledge in this come to earth and we as players are the aliens are going to come and learn more about our last habitants so we start from the time ship and we work our way to try to find is a land right and so in doing so we learn about a Siemens and so we learn about you know whether it's with the three branches of government what are what kind of governments are set up in the United States or what kind of health issues are if they are affecting our nation and stuff like that and then we've all we compete against each other and in doing so so I'm learning while I'm playing a game or anyone competing and having fun have you did you do research and find out that people are actually gonna play board games versus online so according to data from two thousand eight since the recession boardgames doesn't actually increase walled electronic games and decreased while I'm writing that is I think it's because the board games and bring more of a family unity together and from a statistical standpoint it makes more sense to use against you know money into a board and that's gonna last year over a longer time than just and sixty dollars and again this can be outdated in a couple months so I think families are noticing that also there's a human interaction that comes on board games that you can't replicate when playing video games on again this looks like this is this much to cost some money to get this thing made and I mean it had it was like fifteen Colorado so you guys had to raise money for this and to self fund yeah we we did a Kickstarter campaign so we crowd funded and we ended up hitting a hundred thirty percent of our goal and it was a challenging experience to say the least because it was just me basically running in my my father my business partners you know sixties from the upper side of six Adam discloses but so it's very wide as her was so I had and it was just a learning curve for me and running the Kickstarter campaign by myself I learned a lot about marketing I learned a lot about manufacturing and all these things I had to you know do much even just making the video and so did a production and so all of the people said that might be the hardest part yes it was and is a hard pardon but I mean everything throughout all that there was an option there some downs when we first launch our Kickstarter campaign we had a set schedule while we wanted to dissect the campaign so in the beginning we wanted to at least twenty percent of our funding goal because the metrics on that case our campaigns I hate that twenty percent or eighty percent more successful so we did that in the first day I got a Kickstarter staff pick within the first hour launching but we were as we had USA today article that was supposed to release on that Wednesday it was three days into the campaign for whatever reason it got delayed and so just like dealing with the ups and downs also just get thrown at you almost like I had to thirty days so we sent out a woman that's that's being an entrepreneur is learning how to weather the storms exactly having a plan not having it work out of being able to adapt and adjust you've obviously learned that right off the get go how much money did you guys raise again twenty thousand dollars twenty thousand and how did you allocate those funds because some people are out here raising twenty million dollars now some people might say twenty thousand could be just as hard or harder than the twenty million because some guys only write checks for ten twenty million to twenty thousand Bucks you did on Kickstarter how did you decide to allocate those funds because that's bootstrap and it's you gotta be really smart so originally we were going to get it produced and manufactured in the US and I was going to run this about sixty thousand dollars so from looking at it from that standpoint we were gonna come up short and have to look for other ways of finding it yeah but we look to Ali Baba to outsource most of our production and we found a Chinese company that was able to do it for a fraction of the price the mood how do I get to produce out here so we were able to actually save a lot of money and have some surplus in order to go towards production online advertisements and stuff like that so we always wanted to be able to fulfill our Kickstarter orders that's those are top priority going into it after we had our available that's a reflection your eyes integrity at the exact day you've already accepted money from people exactly you didn't maybe necessarily even disclose where was gonna get made you're going to fill that order and then you can always come back to America and get things done but at the end of the I love the fact that you guys found a way to make it happen because that's what entrepreneurs do entrepreneurs don't worry about the resources they have and they just are resourceful in with whatever they do half and half and then also just a bit of integrity I mean for trusting us with their money and they're also you know they're showing where they're showing us that they trust our concept and aren't in our in our vision and so we want to you know get back to them and make sure that they're taking care of a hundred and ten percent what do you guys do for getting traffic to the landing page because even if we got a great landing page he's got a great idea makes a great video none of that matters without the traffic how do you make sure you got the job because you said your article is supposed to go out which would be huge and didn't end up happening so you must at some of the things you were doing a push traffic yeah so we only thirty three percent of our Kickstarter backers came from national Kickstarter community so the rest came from our families and friends we have the story that we got from ABC seven we got article that we got from USA today and I'm gonna give you a little bit on how that happened so being on junior year I do whatever you have to do in order to be successful so by the this was February so this is black history month the actual editor for USA today how to be a black woman and so we are pushing her was to look where an African American company trying to do something to help their communities and stuff like that and so I think that we got a little like leeway on that your strength exactly get back to be resourceful with USA today article shoes because not only gives your disclosure to their broad out reach but it also gives us credibility and less is no less other people know that this is like a very important product and so we're able to do that we also partnered with Ellen you interpret on university we we reached out to educational bloggers which was still doing to promote ourselves right now and so that's what we basically did it get our reason then once the Kickstarter community saw that we were getting traction then we started to get those customers also so I understand I understand are you connected the dots here for this but what are you gonna do it can can you Lisa staying at least sell this thing because at the end of the day that's the real key what are you guys doing to sell this and market so we partner with the educational blogs there's about fifty of them down again hundreds of thousands of people every single day and so we're doing paper click advertising and we're also doing reviews were also doing feature stories and all those stories that gets richer they get blasted on their social media sites with Facebook and Instagram etcetera so that's just because an impression surprising since we're in the educational landscape is helping us get additional customers okay so you guys are doing some grassroots marketing plus capitalizing on social media co founder of earth encounters Taylor walkers joining us where to inspire informing connect a community of entrepreneurs I'm Marc lack on business rockstars what else are you doing on social media because so many people are on their children your grandparents get everybody between you got fourteen hundred CEOs you've got I'm sure millions of your target customers what are you doing to capitalize on it are you doing targeted Facebook ads you're talking about a little of it but I want to go deep because of the other day the only thing that can allow your business to thrive and become house name brand is if you can dial in the sales and marketing right no he was a good thing that it is all about building the story and I'm gonna tell a story with whatever brand whatever company you have so our story is this is a state of our nation right now what are we doing to improve it so far social media platform in this we're constantly makings were constantly highlighting stories and our people are doing and things in our communities while also in our Instagram we're also giving out facts on differences that we find are interesting giving our resources like for instance is a quick example but there's a private institutions I charge two hundred to three hundred dollars for each family to give them their evacuation plans or what whatever type of plans to help prevent like our with how to deal with them operation yeah preparation plants would whenever disaster try strikes ready dot gov offers all these resources for free what we're doing is providing free content so people can come back to us and said okay this is a bunch of resources that we can use our own families and friends so that's why we've got so we've been starting to build traction in the game outside of the game using that is using that in the game and through our Facebook or Instagram were just printing a story on line yeah where we're doing why is this why this is important and then for our Facebook we're highlighting articles were highlighting people are doing good in our communities people are not getting back to our veterans stuff like that so we want to be a we wanna like highlight all positive things our communities is a bunch of negativity out there which is awesome because you're literally the shining light example of the game the game is supposed to elicit those type of thing and provide the continental cations and so you're making sure that you're taking slices and slivers here and there that are relevant and contextually the real world and providing that because if I like that and that really right what we're talking earlier provide value first right to provide value and I'm you know start to nurture mean provide me more value me baby join a newsletter do's our community in those with the community or the people that are gonna be vouching for us and that's what's been happening throughout the whole the whole nation we have educational programs are reaching out to us wanting to fix our games clubs high schools and impoverished low income areas the kids like kids out there need these type of products and so that's why we've been able to do at our online sort of sweat like crazy have yourself a doing any crazy stuff like you play the game and you know you when you get ten thousand dollars but you like or you have a championship where everybody's competing in works up for a big prize we have some things in the works for like some tournaments darted hosted at certain schools and universities and stuff like that I can get too many details yeah under the rounds but we have we have had people to reach out to us and to set up turn Mr stuff like that and to give the scholarship money to to help kids going to college I love that where people are more about you and find out about think counters are the counters are US you also check us out on our Twitter handle everything counters and on Instagram at everything counters and our.

"Let's go to the phone lines with with our guest today. Lanny Puff Oh discussing the induction the pending induction of the late macho man randy savage long overdue to the wwe hall of fame fame. And we'll begin with Louis from New Jersey are Louis from New Jersey Lewis. Thanks for calling today Go ahead and What have you got for landing? Hey wait is three question. Yeah If you could just quickly For Lanny if you could just quickly describe you know the specifics of the Hall of fame contract nine crazy detail but you know just You know like the specific such as you know like is there like a contract like what are you obligated spaghetti to what are they allocated to things like that. The second question is If you can just I'm Pr- I'm remember your previous podcasts. I don't remember you guys going so so in-depth but if you could affect to you know I think it was ninety four you know when When your brother was actually trying to actually leave the company like what was was like? What is this tension? They always talk about this tension and I've heard it in previous interviews but never in-depth and the last acting of course. I'm hi hesitating to ask because I don't want to seem like I have alterior motive or anything if you could just shed light based on what you've known or if you ask ask your brother you know just to put this horrible rumor you know of your brother and possibility possibility of relations. Stephanie McMahon I'm sick of hearing that rumor so I just want you to you know put it to rest you know on on air and that's all I have asked him quick. That's okay those thanks. Thanks Lenny. Take whatever you WANNA talk about. Whatever order you'd like and I can remind you because I took some notes? Okay give me the first question again. Occasion I'm sixty years old and my elevator doesn't get to the top anymore You're doing great though I I there's no signs of that. I'll let you know next time you're on if you've slept all right I'll I'll tell you one symptom. I'm jeff all over my body except one area. What's that about yes all right thank thank you for over? Sharing Lanny The hall of fame contract I don't know if you've seen it before or what it entails and what you feel comfortable sharing thing about it but yeah what what goes into the contract and is it even something that you're specifically involved okay. First of all I don't know but they asked me. Who is the executor of Randy? The state and I said Then his wife. Yeah so I guess there's whatever they have whatever they have to do they're going to do with her okay because You know I am not I'm not his wife brother. Yeah and it's as it should be and Okay and she certainly deserves it. You know they put up with them for many years. Okay and So I am not involved in they contract Situation they asked me who I was and I said well. It isn't me okay. And what was the second question Second one in ninety four savage trying to leave W. W. W. W. WWF has or WWe's alluded to tension resulting from that move It's like man. I guess maybe feeling hurt or betrayed or frustrated by that that that happening. Okay I'm GonNa give you the The quick answer. Yeah Randy You Know He. After Elizabeth left him he got a little downhearted. Okay and He thought he couldn't really give one hundred percent in the ring anymore. So he went into the announcer's booth so we definitely the slim Jim and the announcing so he was Basically Gli all talk and no goal and then he's doing the commentary and he's noticing. How Great Shawn Michael and one of the saddest things about you know? Randy was never satisfied with anything he always wanted more better better and more and When he had that? Great match with Ricky steamboat always bothered him that he was never able to have another mass with anybody else's good as that. Wow raise the bar too high and let's face it Some of the reason that Max was so great because Ricky's demos great to and and They clicked there to phenomenal athletes in total harmony and there was no need for a screw job. Finish because randy gladly gave up the intercontinental belt. Sometimes you know you need cooperation from your opponent in order to make the match good and if you're at a guy like you or something even alterior motive you know and there was Let's face it. There was a close analogy conflict between Shawn Michaels. And Bret Hart. But some people don't like Shawn Michaels. I heard on the Internet like nobody can say that wasn't a great worker. True or false Are we on the air. Yeah we heard a little infant little noise in the background for a minute there. Okay so randy thought that if he had he wanted to have a two year Fuego Shawn Michaels specifically one of the drink of the open up a bottle of Champagne Drink to support for Sean import from some drink to to his success and then take the bottle and break it over his head. Starting a two year feud with the macho man against Shawn Michaels and Ready had elaborately planned every Bit ending in Wrestlemainia after two years Where Randy would try to have a match with Shawn Michaels? Even better than the mess with Ricky steamboat. And lose to Sean and then retired to the announcers table For the rest of his life And they said you know that's a great idea but unfortunately You know having a youth movement and the best thing you can do is stay on the microphone. Ready says ooh yeah. I didn't realize I was elderly. But I think we'll get a second opinion and He Calls Up Eric. Bischoff any leaves. And here's the thing they didn't talk about on the DVD He took slim Jim with him to the WCW. Does anybody remember that. Yeah and I bet that got over like I you know. I don't think that got over but the thing is yeah Randy did it set it. Right on the Randy actually went to the NASCAR when slim. Jim was racing and he did that on his own. Them you know He bought his own plane tickets. And he got to know those guys and they loved him and He loved them and he did. He went over and he went over the call of duty for slim so then When it came up Pity was leaving for WCW. He actually took slim Jim with now. That is quite a double you know. That's quite a quite a thing. There wouldn't when you agree. Oh Yeah Yeah. That's not just a moral victory that's financial victory for WCW. Okay now. Let's talk about. Let's talk about Stephanie. Okay yeah first of all. It's a good question for Stephanie. Because ready and I were very close does but every time he jackie related my head and blow off. Okay Yep in other words Randy never did kissing. Tell anybody actually. He was very strict about that. He didn't He he had remarked to me. That a person's reputation is all they have and he didn't want to be one of those guys both thing in the locker room in other words He didn't he wasn't insecure enough to need to do that. But I will say say one thing about that if randy had done anything illegal. Let's pick men must have a hundred lawyers on retainer. Do you think for one moment that he wouldn't have press charges legally against Randy if he had done something illegal. Yeah well since since he didn't I'M GONNA guess that Randy didn't do anything wrong now. What is the did you know? What do you know what the legal age of consent him sent in? Minnesota is No I don't I don't write off honestly. I grew both Connecticut in his sixteen. Yeah Yeah and It's eighteen in Florida so usually it's one or the other or seventeen. Yeah I mean yeah so. There's the two year in an according to the letter of the law if a girl from Connecticut goes to California Connecticut Connecticut rules apply. Yeah and by the way So I what we have here is a story not like First of all. I don't know what happened between the two and Randy never told me. Yeah and to be quite honest with you if he had told me I wouldn't tell you because that that is a little bit personal I But I'm GonNa take a guess that Kissed it off the DVD. I actually said what was the trouble. Yeah after they did all that billionaire Ted crap. You know what I mean that huckster the natural man Yup Yup and then there was a magazine. I don't to remember the name of the magazine but it was not a wrestling magazine. It was like a mass market magazine. I don't know what it was. I don't remember and Triple H was in there and they asked him. What do you think of the Macho man and and Hulk Hogan and he says well they're great but they're dinosaurs dinosaurs and ready new triple h and liked triple h a lot and he felt very terrible when he said that? Oh man called me dinosaur well. Evidently you know there was a book by Dr Curson. Don't sweat the small stuff. Yeah well any never read that book. He's sweat the small. Yeah Yeah you know. I really cause helped got caught dinosaur and it was all wind up back right. Yeah so so then okay the caller they're still I can bring them in check Lucy still there yes. I'm still here. I Yeah Okay Louis. I'm GonNa ask you to do something for me. I can't but I I want you to go go to youtube after. The show's over and look up randy savage present day because I mentioned on the DVD. I mentioned on the DVD Randy made video and put it on his website. But I couldn't believe that they actually showed some of it on the DVD VP. And they showed you know because he was angry about being called a dinosaur. So I say look at that and instead of listening to the younger brother that knows nothing. you're better off getting it from the horse's mouth a video was made. You must believe it because that is the macho man you see what I mean. I'm GonNa just mitigate the story He is a man with the. He's the man that gave the video anybody's the very very angry and hurt. He thought it was Hurting his brand name to be called a dinosaur and his Mo was. If I'm I'm that old let's have a shoot. You know what I mean so Does your question as good as I can without you know about the I didn't have the the guts to ask Randy when he was alive. So why would I have the guts to come on wait tellers program and lie about it because the fact is I don't know and If you WANNA know it was only one other person allegedly in the room. And that's definitely so ask her. Yeah definitely and I think I saw that video. Actually of a fan made a entire youtube compilation video of that. Where are you talking about what your brother is in the gym right and he's pumping iron and counting triplets? That the one you're talking about one black and white one okay. Yeah Ah out there. I appreciate your call catching on Yup. Okay thank you. Thank you Louis. Three good questions. Thank you very much. Great Pleasure. All right well Keeping through college got along the lines of colors and some good. We're about to go to another commercial break. Why why are you listening to commercial breaks? Why deal with these interruptions when you can become a VIP member support the way? Keller pro wrestling podcasts. "What is Joe man, Randy savage and this factor in the risk? No one that goes better right now. Yeah, does it better repeat myself? Go ahead told me something right down. Moderate. Doing other episode of hard factor. It is Monday, June seventeenth top stories for the day, Mark is going to tell us about continued protests raging in Hong. They're all protesting the whole fucking place. Yes. That's pretty wild. Pat, is going to tell us about some Phoenix cops Phoenix Arizona. Cops who really fucked up as love the F word. They love it the F word which one fuck, okay? Then I'm gonna take a lightning round of other headlines it away, apparently not a lot of people in Hong Kong share, my opinion that protests are pointless, useless, not really a lot of people in the world and cry. I guess, not, and certainly not. And that is because two million Hong Kongers took to the streets on Sunday to denounce the Chinese government's and the extradition Bill that Hong Kong was going to try to push through related to extraditing Hong Kong citizens to China, so, yeah, they've only been a part of with China for twenty years schrool before up until nights and ninety seven so, yeah, this is the third time Hong Kong have taken to the streets to protest this particular extra extradition, Bill in just over a week. And the biggest protests in terms of numbers by four with an estimated two million of the seven million Hong Kong, citizens protesting, and that is as percentage if you think about it. I mean, like I guess, no one like work was in the thing like no one showed up to workshops, can you think about like? Thirty percent of New York, New York, so protesting it is crazy, but the reason I think it's possible is because of the tight proximity of of them. It's like if your country's four hundred or twenty seven miles square square miles, which it is like, we almost have a lot of people packed in one. So a lot of peer pressure bullied into your here. Yeah. You're all three your neighbors, right? Four neighbors true. That, that's a lot of peer pressure. Also, as we covered Mark. I mean when when a protest is this massive that, that size then it's impressed true, right? Like if it's ten people picketing with signs. It's throwing my call two million people. It's gonna wait till the end and I still will. But yeah I'm coming around Hong Hong Kong's, like changing my heart like the Grinch style, where it's they're making a grow three times that day, your understanding that protests, should just shut up. And let me finish the story marks real social Justice protests on Sunday, also resulted in the first death of a protester. Yeah. The protests are fell from a building. We'll hanging in anti-extradition banners. That's Kind kind of of. on him. Yeah. Yeah. Did they martyr? Anyway. He served a moderate served as like a shot of adrenaline in the protesters arms to protest while he wanted to go. I mean, he, he gave him a lot of that building just extra ETI. Let's get. Let's get a little. Let me get up on this dangerous. Ledge hang this banner. And if I do great if I don't great. Bed so far, the protests, then mainly peaceful, as there's only one death, which was a complete accident, considering the sheer amount of people, that's pretty impressive. But there was some violence, this past Wednesday with clashes with police, and tear gas and, and some beatings and stuff that left eighty people injured including twenty two police officers. So one bad scene on Wednesday, one accident with a falling on Sunday..

Born to other episode apart backer. It is Monday March eight top stories of the day west going to do about the New Zealand shooting fall out people are getting egged. Yeah. It's just the classic egging. Great, great tease. Maybe bring it back marks gonna do under about an Italian sex party scandal. Let's just say that Italian sex parties are everything you'd think they'd be an so tan. Yeah. And more going to be juicy right? Pat's going to do what about a woman who was sucked into her parent's grave. Look if you know me, I got to fears one is jail. The other is my parents dying. Now have a new fear. Yeah. This combination sounds like a combo. Yeah. Everything rolled up into one. And I'll take a lightning round of other headlines take it away. Wes, the big news viral video over the weekend. A New Zealand Senator named Frazier ending was the subject of a lot of well deserved criticism for his anti Muslim remarks following a massacre that killed forty nine people at a mosque in Christchurch. Basically this Assal said that Muslim immigration was to blame for the massacre. Really? Yeah. This were forty nine people were murdered. Yep. Yep. So his exact tweet was quote. Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence question? Mark. Yes. Not mean. So it was it was just the immigration sheer presence of Muslims that was to blame. And not the not the white supremacists with microfinance who actually pulled the trigger so solid logic. There Senator any real quick. So so we know Australia was a prison. Colony was New Zealand also prison colony it must've been right off shoot. I must have been yet. But it was also the Muslims. So as logic is basically like, I know when there's a candle in the room at always lights start to fire by itself. Not when someone just throws gasoline. Alright. Yeah. Especially when built by Muslim. But yeah, I mean, I agree with you his logic. Logic best is is is incredibly fall. But it's kinda like women have to wear bras because men can't contain themselves, right logic. Yeah. Which is just like a otherwise raped and stuff. They've got him. We got it. We got it. We got to suck on them. It was just rapist sucking on breasts. We'd be fun. Okay. All right. So besides the public scrutiny. The Senator was also subject to a classic gag and good old fashioned egging by seventeen year old who now calls himself Egbo. Belts. That's since. That's not. He didn't do it before self monitored. He might he might have new. He was going to do it and started up his space pre branded egg. Boy, he's he spells it, so. Yeah. Exactly. So in the viral video sure you'll have seen it if you have. And it's absolutely hilarious. New check it out. Basically Senator is talking to reporters the kid pulls his cell phone out to film, flourish act and slams a roll egg on the senators head from behind. He just standing right next to he's standing on your nose. He was like within egging distance of just put the cracked it over his head. Even really throw. It was Saudi egg. I liked his moves. I have noticed that in foreign countries that you can get closer to politicians there than you can in the United States not anymore in New Zealand. I guess so the Senator then of course, salts the minor back punching face before he's restrained. Hit them twice. Exactly. So, but what the Senator is a real piece of shit. This isn't the first time he's been a racist piece of shit and his come under scrutiny. Apparently, August, he gave a speech in which he called for New Zealand to only allow whites to immigrate to the country, and he had a pretty pretty unique title for his his plan..
