Antonio Brown Re-Signing With Buccaneers on One-Year Deal

"Antonio brown is good. The case could be made over a six year period before he left pittsburgh he was the best receiver. Sense jerry. rice and the thing about receivers are randy. Moss might have this amazing year or two and his talent was you know. Maybe the best avenue randy moss. Another guy might have a year or two but these receivers tend to come and go fast. Now they stick around they might be like. Julio jones is he won the top three receivers. now he's not today but he certainly had times. Wise brown was very consistent very consistent and in just eight games. He had forty five catches as the number three option and what really stood out is his yards after catch or the best on the team so this is not a guy going out of bounds. This is a guy taken the ball and head up the field. I agree very productive. And if you think about it then that's awesome great. Why well obviously there's the author field questions but if you look at the time before the off the field were the questions. This was as productive receivers. We've seen since jerry rice and that's saying something that means maybe the second most productive six year period ever ever. Now he's hitting the wall when it comes to his age Four receivers typically again jerry. Rice was the exception to that even if he drops off a little bit a little bit. 'cause age antonio brown i believe will be at least as good if not better this year. Well how could he drop off and be better. The other circumstances remember he joined the team midseason right as much as he is a pro's pro in a way that in browns able to get acclimated and get integrated. He was paying much better coming into the playoffs now. He did get hurt but to me. His last three or four games were better than his first three or four which is a trend line. I think they continues with a more robust offseason into having the whole time with the team. So net net. I think browns more of a factor

"On CBS Sports Radio. How about this guest that we have for you Tomorrow? We got a huge and I mean, a huge guest to the show tomorrow. This is on my bucket list. Randy Moss. To join the show tomorrow. V Randy Moss. That's going to be awesome. Ryan traced a key correct I love rainy moss. Great anfo knowledge and very excited. No, no, no. No. Well, yeah, The guy does have good NFL knowledge. But you're not thinking the randy Moss that I'm thinking, are you Not the Hall of Fame wide receiver. Oh, well, we're having Randy Moss on from the NFL Network at NBC. Oh, we're gonna talk ponies, and we're going to talk NFL ponies and pigskin. That's that's good way of putting it. Ponies and pigskin. Randy Moss tomorrow, Randy Moss was mainly pig skin and a little bit of ponies. Tough to be Randy Moss working NFL in no work and not be the right side of disappointment. So I got an email. Would you want to have Randy Moss on the show? And that was the the subject header. Of course. I want to have Randy Moss on the show just hopefully that he shows up for the show. And then I read the details of the email. And it was Randy Moss in the NFL Network and Randy Moss from NBC Sports, So we'll talk of Randy Moss tomorrow on Thursday. Out of the McNab is going to stop by. So we got some good stuff cooking for the rest of the week, right here on CBS Sports Radio. Time to end the show out in styles we do each and every day. It's a segment I called the closing bell Ryan traced. Nicky, Please, Please, Please, Please ring that New York City Stock Exchange. Bellport. Another day is in the books and we're taking stock of the sports world. It's time to find out who's up on who's down. Let's end the day right and hit the closing bell. Only on the Sack Guild show grounder. Rob Gronkowski very slow start to his career and Tampa Bay as the cool kids say, Tom for bay. Now he's starting to heat up. Let Gronk feast Rob Gronkowski has had a touchdown in three straight games. Had a tutti last night. Give a stock up to the drunker. I was reading the CBS Sports mock draft earlier today. Usually I would not read a mock draft this early into the game, but I was curious on where they had Justin Fields going on in this mock Jeff that had him going number three that the Giants passing up on them, and I think it was The Jaguars, who took about number three today, Sewell, the offense alignment used formerly of Oregon went to to the New York football giants. I was wondering because everyone's saying tank for Trevor Tank for childhood tank for Trevor. How many teams are going to try to be bad? Don't get Trevor then say We're going to abandon our current quarterback and go for Justin Fields, and when I was doing that I've known of Zach Wilson. We've been trying to get him on the show the last few weeks, he's done a really good job at BYU and having a breakout season. BYU plays Boise State on Friday night. That's going to be a fun game, And when I was waiting and reading through this mock draft, I saw a surprise. They had Zach Wilson going before Trey Lancer, North Dakota State quarterback. And they had Zach Wilson projected to go to the New England Patriots. Now it's a mock draft. It is what it is, but I was surprised that they had Zach Wilson..

"Horse something right. They got what they got they got. What's a right? The final time indicated they would get based on all the other races run that day. Not just that one. But it's all one big picture that you look at you don't just take one wraith out and say okay. I'm GonNa Give Whitmore Ninety six. No it's what did what moron in comparison to what break even ran thirty minutes later. So what sky value ran in a maiden claiming race to what lady WHO Stole Ran Anders. A to claimer all at six furlongs. You have to take everything as a whole and assuming whether didn't change the racetrack didn't change In most of the Times it doesn't it's just where every race fits into that puzzle on the entire day and it's not just one race in particular and that's something that I think maybe some people don't understand and I'm curious when when you were going through this card and and how do you. How do you approach a day like this you chronologically or do you look at at a group of of distance? One two three four. We had five races at six furlongs. The do you do a group of distances first or do you go through the card now what I do is I start with race one and I. This is not just at Oaklawn Not just Saturday. This is any racetrack figures at started race one and look at the past performances of the horses and I look at the chart and I looked at the horses previous figures. We have a program A Beyer speed figure program that gives us horses last five numbers but of course I can look at formulator and you get the horses lifetime numbers and you look at the way. The race was run and the figures. The horses had been running going into that race and then I even look at trips. I look at You know when a Horse Ranch last figure was at a rail trip now today was he stuck for. Why did he get another rail trip? How am I bad? I've impacted is number and I make a guess based on past performances in the way that race was run in the margins between the horses. And I say okay. I think the first race was likely to be run in a sixty five. Don't look at the time then. I move on to the second race. In the second race was a mile on the sixteenth.

My father always told me you know he taught. He taught me how to read the racing for him. He said I taught you everything you know but not everything I know and my uncle both uncles I mean I was there all crazy about the worst. Were well people need to see it? it's really A winning five minutes six minutes. Whatever it is it well done. And we'll actually. Let's let's use that as a segue into figure making and I've got some other things I want. Ask on the back end. But you know we're being treated randy to these Saturdays at oaklawn and not that Gulfstream and Tampa's Saturday action is engaging. It's fine but you know the the prime part of their winters is over but to have a day like Saturday where everybody is just eager for for some quality to have that apple blossom and then to have a horse like whitmore. It was a tree. Oh and then you have break even in an allowance race you know writing between the Count Fleet in the apple blossom you know and then you get Desmond winning an allowance race right before that You know I've I've been around Oakland. Obviously a very very long time and I was actually handicapping.

"That video was taken and sure enough? The first race of the day for two year olds ironically in March back when they used to run to your olds at Oaklawn and they had the prices on the board and so I just started going to newspapers dot com and doing a search for race results and it turns out the Detroit. Free Press was the Go-to back then in newspapers dot com. I went day by day by day by day and look at all of the results until I found prices matched and it was Monday march tonight. Thank t fifty nine. I just tremendous and died there. There's even a moment where the as the horses are coming down the stretch it screened caps. And then there's the you know the the prices that are superimposed out of the free press and it just Is just great and the imagery you know I. I've actually got a similar box right over here that my my dad gave me. And it's all the all those brownie eight. You know the Brownie eight films and we want to do the same thing and I got some kids and yeah and transfer them on so I'm GonNa send out that For those that didn't see it. You'll really enjoy it and especially you know when when the hook because I knew when when you said you know. How did they sneak me into the racetrack? Because you have to be eighteen at the time and I realized Oh boy there's his mom and so there you are I I come.

"So this is sort of a massive we've had speaking strictly in football terms strictly in football terms it honey brown is unlike any player the pictures had a wide receiver other than Randy moss maybe during number his career I was a better route runner the most I mean listen I I've heard that that's that's it's it's it is new units right now my my point is I don't know the answer but to exactly two hall of fame caliber players and and you know different type of players but equally equally dangerous Bobby I tell you what bill Belichick will take in Tom Brady will take as well is the same body and that Randy moss had when he came over from the raiders and seven part of that trade where he insists the said visa bill the coach Belichick I want to be everywhere Brady is put my locker right next to him and the buy in from Randy moss the work ethic if they get the same from Antonio brown and it's over your your Tom he's moving in you know that we offer the trip I don't know how his wife would feel about that given everything that has been set said but I mean there's a lot that a lot that goes into this he wants to work and he's ready to humble myself and go play then is shall be a heck of a player there they would be the preemptive Superbowl favorite started to. ninety five the sports hub in Boston on the call here's bill Belichick on his new wide receiver I don't remember early on the first drive to feeding did you guys want to get him into the swing of things now we run the offense transferable to god's open them and change that in twenty years on the internet to do last learn. some. you know we're making progress with certain out there at. Patriots may soon have to deal with their first Antonio Brown issue and it has to do with his number

"We have to talk about the biggest storyline in the NFL Antonio Brown as it looks like the saga for Antonio in some ways is finally ending and in other ways. It's just beginning for number eighty four as Antonio uh-huh Brown signs a one year proved deal with the New England patriots and it's hilarious because there is so much speculation when all his shenanigans with the Oakland Raiders for going on that really it was just a grand master plan for Bill Bella check to somehow land the all world talent wide receiver in sure enough he gets released from the raiders and later that day signs deal with the New England patriots another huge weapon in the offense four. Tom Brady and this has shades of what Randy Moss did did when he was with the Oakland Raiders. Moss spent some time in Oakland during his games he played for the raiders. You could just see that the big hall of fame wide receivers hardest wasn't in it. He wasn't really producing for the raiders he was now running routes with this full heart. You can just tell that he wasn't the Randy Moss when he was sooner in Oakland and then he goes to the Patriots under Bill Belichick and has a career year a record setting year with Tom. Brady Brady threw for fifty touchdown passes does that offense was just a cold plays away from being the first team to go perfect nineteen in Oh as they were trying to catch the seventy two dolphins they lose of of course the super bowl to the tremendous comeback led by Eli Manning and the New York giants. Is this going to be just like that. Are we gonNA see a patriots team. That could possibly go undefeated after Sunday night. That's a very real possibility that defense for the Patriots absolutely shut down the steelers and and if they know they're gonna get just a boatload of points on the offensive side of the ball you know Bill Belichick GonNa give all of his time and effort to making sure that that defense is ready eighty each and every week for their match. Make sure everyone's healthy ready to go that the scheme is right and we very well could see a run at history again in New England might right sound a bit presumptuous just in week one but the steelers are a classic. AFC favorite especially when they had the big three Bell Brown and Rothlisburger now with two of those three pieces Gone Smith Schuster looks to pick up the slack for Antonio Brown but now yet to find someone to pick up the slack for Juju at that wide receivers Chris to spot you also gotta be be frank here that James Connor is not living on bell. We saw that in that game Sunday night so the steelers were still a good test defensively civilly always are fantastic and brady made them just look like a peewee football team out there as he had no problem going for thirty three points in that game and pass over three hundred honored yards. You put a be in that mix with Josh Gordon Julian Edelman the running back tandem of James White as well as Sony Michelle is going to be a really tough challenge to beat this patriots team and because of that you who who's to say I mean they they could do it. They could do it you. You can't say they can't there. There is a real world possibility with the addition of Antonio Brown that the Patriots could make some history but now we gotta look back at how this came to be an Antonio oneal brown you could tell really from the Gecko once he got into camp once he started running some routes with Derek Carr in this raiders offense something clicked in his head that he did not want. I WANNA be in Oakland. I mean he did the cryotherapy happens and you chalk that up to operator malfunction with the frostbite on the feet then he goes on this insane escapade with the helmet trying to get all that taken care of in think in trying to use his old helmet. He's used forever he. He's had six months to do it and he doesn't think that's enough time to find a new helmet. I mean he's not looking for new kidney. He just needs a helmet you. There's ways to figure that out to make it fit and make it. It'd be comfortable everyone else in the NFL did it why couldn't he that becomes an issue. He's stays out of training camp. He doesn't do the walk throughs. The helmet issue did not mean he couldn't couldn't practice with the team he did that on his own accord and then he goes after the general manager of the raiders after he gets fine for actions he knows our final. He did them with that in mind. There wasn't like that fine just came out of the sky on him and Mike mayock gets verbally costed by Antonio Brown he goes on a barrage. I use of slayer of slurs cuss words to Mike May Auchan your raiders still still planned on playing him in there Monday night game against the broncos broncos that says a lot about the raiders as an organization that they were willing to take this abuse from Antonio Brown and take all this Prima Donna behavior behavior that was happening with Ab and still play him Monday night when he's barely practice with the team we talked earlier in the season here here on this show about how Antonio Brown by taking all this media attention has helped the raiders rookies developed because they haven't had to deal with it and that's still true in the lot of the raiders rookies have talked talked about in themselves and the second year players have said by having Antonio Brown. It's been nice that they haven't had to deal with the media coverage and hard knocks and that was really a lot more centered around Antonio Brown but he's also had a terrible example as an a way to conduct yourself as professional with what he's done with the raiders clearly didn't want to be there show the the reaction video when he finally gets released from the raiders and all of that finally goes down and I think the raiders are better off for it you if you're going to establish a new culture in Oakland. You can't have this going on in your locker room on your sideline. You need to get Antonio Brown out of out of there if he wants out all the better let him go you cut your losses just saved a lot of money by voting that twenty nine million that you would yet. You'RE GONNA pay him over the three years Antonio Brown you get your wish you go you get to play for the Patriots I think both sides can kind of wash their hands of the issue but now the rest of the NFL has to deal with the Patriots and Tom Brady having Tony Brown as viable and very real. You'll weapon for them

"But see Ryan, that's the lie we tell Jim Brown wouldn't be in the hall of fame if it were about personal issues like that there's a whole bunch of dues in the hall of fame off the field issues. It should be about numbers numbers alone, right? Look as that listen. You know what? Your former athlete to. I don't care. You're in the conversation. It doesn't matter. It does matter in conversation. You play pro somewhere, you know. Ted of chicken in my mind, Tecmo bowl, look, bro. But regardless as, as former athletes, me, and you both understand that it should be about the numbers. What did you do where you a nightmare? When did you dominate your era? Did you dumb innate? I get it. I get it guys are going to get in. They didn't dominate as a matter of fact, we saw a lot of flaws in them, but right now it's not the reality. It's not about the money. It is skills. Give me it's about the money. It's about the popularity is a lot of these reasons in which you can keep people out the hall of fame. There is no legitimate reason. Mogole back to my dog. My do tell Owens of while he was left out other than and you only want to say off the field incidences because this man is one of the most squeaky clean us. Most outright dues that I know what I'm talking about terro- are working, but guess what? He didn't always play into favourite a media. He spoke his mind. He told you who, who really was in his funny as the media as fans. You want to. Hoodies athletes. Are they let you know who they are? They keep it a hood at which you a you gotta problem. And that should have been a first ballot hall of Famer when you talking about nab in an eight man, I may McNabb through to it and thirty four touchdowns eight through one hundred and sixty five Heathrow one hundred and forty one interceptions McNabb. Do a one seventeen McNabb has about five thousand yard edge in terms of career passing yards. When you compare Terrel Owens Terrel, Owens, there were, there were three people who can sit at the Tara loans table. When it comes to great wide receivers Jerry Rice, Randy moss, MTO. Nobody else can sit at the table. You only receiver in the history of the NFL to have twelve consecutive seasons. With seven hundred and fifty soi even Jerry Rice, Dylan's cow. Jane Johnson, not, not in the not at the Randy moss. Jerry Rice loans table, one b but not at that table. It should be about that, though. When you think about t- out, when you think about Randy and Jerry Rice, you go three of the greatest receivers all time when you tell me Troy Aikman or alive manning or Donovan McNabb. You don't say three of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. You see you say three great quarter. Three good quarterbacks who have their moments benefited from the players around him. And that's fine. You can have a great NFL career that way. And why does that allow you get in? To the most distinguished amazing. The hall of fame. The meat though, it is back at Yudo while we go at Troy Aikman. There's a reason his numbers were little lower. Yeah. He had a great writer for narrow is different. He had to sacrifice. Yeah. They're they're reasons. But guess what? When a guy wins, I don't care who's around him. Everybody can't get sit in his seat. Walked put them cleats on go out and win games. There's a reason why Choi Aikman run one forget the numbers he'd won. And guess what? He wasn't that the defensive back. He wasn't the offense of lineman. He wasn't the he was the quarterback bre. He was the quarterback not care if his job was the hand off the football. We not put Trent Dilfer hall of fame, like listen. Well, let's put Kvant looney air to oh. Through the list. Ties. Find a wing of the hall of fame for them to everybody can come coming up next criticism of Yana started. But that could all change tomorrow night in game, six Meyer Metcalf. Ryan Holland's in for Freddie and Fitz. Simons on ESPN radio. The bucks are in trouble. The key in all of this was when Nick nurse decided to take a while and put him on the Greek freak, and once that happens, they can tie off. "I mean, everybody's been Radic on. But when I hear a veteran, a captain of the team say, nah, did whatever wanted wasn't about winning. And by the way, even says while he was here. He didn't put his best effort out. But now that it's contract going to. I thought when Kirk Morrison was here yesterday, he gave an excellent comp Puig's. Randy moss. He basically makes spectacular plays takes plays off. Isn't that fair? He is not Randy moss. There's not a sniff of the hall of fame for UCLA. Probably not rent. Rainy moss as a. Hall of fame player in one of the five. Hey, just wide receivers ever to play. Now. He's not. Yes. He is rainy Ma Randy moss. Are you kidding me? But he took so many plays off. Ready? Moss is not one of the just look at the five greatest wide receivers of all time. -solutely absolutely, man. I don't know. I. Maybe in terms of touchdowns but rating moss one hundred fifty seven touchdowns in his career. Yeah. Here's the way, this is receiving or running. Yeah. Number one is Jerry Rice number two is Emmett Smith number three ladainian Tomlinson, number four's. Randy moss. I don't know how you can make a case I argue that we will be in the hall of fame one day, the Cuban hall of fame. Do you really question? The Randy mosses one of the five greatest wide receivers of all time. I do. But I can't think of five of the top of my head in front of him. He was spectacular. And I'm trying to think of like five off the top of my head. And once they get past Jerry Rice, I'm coming up with know. I mean, I mean, let's face it a little screwy Torello. Yeah. Randy moss who else Calvin Johnson. Maybe maybe Chris Carter may be Marvin Harrison, maybe Larry FitzGerald, FitzGerald Qadhafi be there. But none of a match him in terms of touchdowns Jerry Rice, by the way, just class of his own. Yeah. Class ridiculous. All right coming up last ice cube who is a giant Lakers fan, and who has made a gigantic bid for the Fox Sports regional networks. We'll talk about that as well. Plus the big three is coming back. Mason in Ireland ESPN LA. I we got a piece of breaking news. John. What is it? A coach. No, there is no surgery plan for DeMarcus cousins torn left quad muscle. But a league source confirmed that it is unlikely cousins will return at any point during the playoffs. What does that do for his free agency makes for I was gonna say, would you be would you would you take them on at all? Yeah. Yeah. After a torn achilles. And now at torn. Yeah. One year two year contracts second year team option. What do you think? Do you think he gets twenty million? No, I don't ten in the first year ten in the second year. Yeah. Oh, I see. Yeah. To your twenty million dollar contract. Secondhand team option. Would you do it? Yes. I mean, I need you know, what you need you need a little upside you need some upside. And there's a lot of upside there. I mean, he he comes with. I mean, this is the same damn laggy tourism Killys. I'm looking for the upside. I think he wants to be a different player. I think people to call them DeMarcus people to call him DaMarcus. He wants to get away from the whole boogie brand, which he's become known as and it's not a good brand. So I think I mean, I think you'd bet on him knowing that he learned a lot from being around a really good team and has a better feel for what it takes and. Yeah, I if if you could do a two year deal twenty million dollars second year team option. So you keep your flexibility for twenty twenty. I'd say absolutely explain to the people what's going on with these FOX regional sports networks. Okay. So joining us right now is ice cube cube. Are you man? How you doing? Everything is good. So I've been trying to explain exactly what's going on with the with the bidding process for the Fox Sports regional networks. All three offers apparently in and it's and we should back up a little bit. "But I certainly don't think that he'll be a first ballot. Then there's you know, the guys like Randy moss or or Durrell Rivas who weren't gonna here patriots. But they are probably the first guy for Hillary. But I would assume, but it is very interesting when you kind of break down the patriots dynasty. It's a lot of guys who are in that kind of Tedy Bruschi or Julia element range and the Julian idle men hall of fame conversation is a whole different conversation. But guys who would not traditionally be hall players, and they're even talking about guys like the Guinness in that group too. And and inventory of four if you never makes it where very solid players, maybe made, you know, two or three pro bowls or two or three all pros, but weren't considered among the best. Players at the position in their generation. So yeah, and I quite honestly, I probably would have thrown Tyler into that group as well. He did make the hall of fame. But I didn't think that that was clear cut. Some patriots fans. Do I think he was a very good cornerback? I don't think that he was necessarily ever in the conversation for best cornerback of his era. He was in the top five, but probably wasn't beating out. Charles Woodson champ Bailey during portion his career and that falls in line. Like, I said with a lot of those other guys who were part of this patriots honesty. Right. Yeah. I think there's a lot of hall of very good guy there but not necessarily a ton of hall of famers, not nothing to do with their talent. Just you know, I think that they were regarded especially early in this this dynasty run. Just as they were the team. You know, it was always about the team the team the team the players the players, so. I could see like you said ventral for getting it wouldn't shock me. I wouldn't be horrified. I think he is deserving player and incredible defensive tackle. But you know, a guy generic many stats and at the end of the day the hall of fame on fairly. I think it's fair to say someone who really wants a lot more offensive lineman again to the hall of fame tends to be organization that rewards stats rewards. Let's Pro Bowl and all pro parents could be tough. One other guy, actually, I didn't mention, but I to toiler is actually deserve mention. I think it's possible that was Welker gets in the hall of fame. I don't think he will not sure if he necessarily deserves to, but I do think that he could be in the conversation. And the other one is Logan making too is in that very bizarre range of patriots. The patriots dynasty where he played from two thousand five to twenty thirteen and mansion not Windsor with the team. But he was a seven time Pro Bowl pro bowler. He was a first Email appro in two thousand ten a five time second team, all pro. So just based alone off of that office pro bowls and all pros and the level play that he was playing it throws grew. He probably should be a hall Famer. But the fact that he wasn't honest Tupelo team that that one I think could take away from him a little bit actually guy who are forgetting about is Adam venit, Terry. Oh, Terry too. Yeah. Absolutely. I think that you know, I'm not sure if it's first ballot, but he'll get in eventually, and what's kinda. Funny is that as far as hey, the being on the patriots goes Stephen Gostkowski, my actually be better patriots kicker than uninventive, Terry. But he didn't have as many big moments that you can point to actually now that you bring up Casta surprised. He's not signed at the moment. I'm very surprised by that. I think that they did need to clear this cap space. I think that now that that rob gronkowski is retired. I think it increases the chances that he will come back just because he wasn't gonna play for free. He was going to play on a contract Ryan Allen or anything. So I think he probably will be in that, you know, four million dollar range..

"He was incredible in two thousand and it's funny that their best team didn't actually win a Super Bowl where or their best collection of talent their best season. That was an un- unbelievable team. It had, you know, Laurence Maroney who is like twenty two years old was running back. They had they had kind of three headed monster running back. You mentioned you mentioned that they had Randy moss. I mean, the the numbers they put up that was the first I believe the first fifty touchdown season by any quarterback. And and and you know Brady was fifty touchdowns eight interceptions that year. It just the numbers are review. Ridiculous went west Welker. Like, yeah. We all remember Randy moss. Wes Welker had one hundred twelve catches. Randy moss had ninety eight like they down their Dante stallworth they dominated the league. But you know, so much of that. Gets lost. Because Tom Brady Liz alleged to have been part of the seem to deflate footballs, which oh, yeah. By the way, I mean, if you really wanna get down to it when they reinforced the footballs, he actually played better. And there is no part of why I feel like is not as big of a deal. I look I do think deflated football. Isn't advantage is easier to catch is easier to hold onto? So you won't fumble as much, but to your point one when the footballs were regular, you know, inflation he was fine and the patriots role in what do you think about like, I think it is completely ridiculous as much as I like Julian Edelman as really good of a player as he is to even put him in the same sentence as hall of fame to me is absolutely ridiculous element. Absolutely. Yeah. You think patriots hall of Famer and? Mean right near ring Avante, or whatever they call it. No way in the NFL hall of fame. I'm with you. I do think there is some there is like here's the problem with wide receiver probably wide receiver is generally your numbers are greater when your team is worse. I like the Calvin Johnson has arguably the greatest or maybe an argument the greatest season a wide receiver ever had statistically. But in that year his team won four games. You get behind you start throwing the football. And that season. The only thing they did was throw the ball to Calvin Johnson. And that was the only thing that he and Matt Stafford well, and so the. So do you think that like Jerry Rice, obviously has great numbers? They want Michael Irvin for that time. Now, maybe compared to today they numbers aren't used for that time. His numbers were big obviously, Dallas was winning. You know? So I I don't think that that's necessarily the case. No, well, January Yeltsin. Good teams, and he had huge number. Some some of his best years were bad teams with the San Francisco forty nine sort of teams that were limited with with with knives. Terms of his best seasons to typically. And like, look if you want to actually go to the to the Jerry Rice thing like they ran an often they were the first of the west coast offense teams, and you know, so they were they were throwing the ball and throwing the ball more accurately, and in a way, which other teams had not you go to, you know, the the the Buffalo Bills, you know, and and they're wide receivers. She struggles with with with getting in the hall of fame because they ran the k gun offense because they throw it through it so much more Isaac Bruce in and and and Tori, and their numbers are huge. But there are also playing in an offense which was different than everybody else scoring more points. But look I think Ataman is a is a tremendous player. And I do think there is something about the Robert Aures of this will write the guys who they're not superstars in terms of their talent. Can't necessarily build around them. But they do come through in the clutch..

"And I I was really surprised at both of those guys set that I didn't change my opinion. I don't think it'll be all over. But I think if he hangs around and Tom Brady does play toys forty five and plays with him. And he piles up more rings and has more yardage and creep store if he catches Jerry Rice and postseason yards. What are you gonna do? How are you going to keep the guy out? I think that those spellcheck and Brady and gronk or the only guys will get in. I don't think you count the count. Randy moss as a as a patriot per se because of this time there, but you know, he's he's obviously already end. I think maybe it'll mean is the only other guy who's gonna get in. Out this. I'm thinking, I don't think I don't think they're mcchord. He's a great player. But I don't think hands at making it to the hall of fame. I don't think. You know, I don't think failure Bruschi making it. I, you know, Richard seymour's, we'll probably won't make the offensive lineman. Great. But I don't think any of them have been. So I don't think Logan Mankins or somebody like that is gonna make it maybe west Welker. I don't west workers numbers do like absolutely blast elements out of the water. But I think the problem with Welker is that he is considered eighty had Tom Brady there and be that he had rainy malls. And the other side for a long stretch. I mean, west Welker at his six years in New England average a hundred twelve catches twelve hundred receiving yards and six touchdowns a game like better than mecca Tron numbers. But I just think I think that Wes Welker will be devalued a little bit because you never wanna Super Bowl. This is unfortunate reality, you know. Maybe Joe Tuni if he if he makes every single year that he plays which is done now, by the way has to rings. I here's congratulations. Joe? Maybe maybe that could happen. Like, I don't know. Exact mason. I guess those two I I don't know. I think it's it's hard to imagine. I I guess Randy moss doesn't count. I don't think I don't think moss counts because Radi bosses probably in the hall of fame based on his Vikings. Fran. It's yeah. So I really think it's going to be Brady Bill check in gronk as three hall of fame guys. And then maybe outta maybe Welker. I just I don't know that unless the I don't know if you have you heard the rumors about what the NFL might do in this coming year in this hundred year, what the hall of fame might do like especial exception for a larger class rea-. Yeah. So there's there's buzz about that like because. Look, I'm biased because I know in fairly well, but Torry Holt should be the hall of fame in my opinion. I Bruce should be in the hall of fame to hold had more receiving yards. Jerry Rice, I the first nine years of his career peepers go has been stumping for Tony Boselli to get in and lease it. He's one of the three or four best left tackle, the buzz that the hall of fame knows that it has this logjam offense of Lyman in this logjam of of wide receivers. It also has a group of guys like Steve Smith Andre Johnson. Reggie Wayne all these guys coming down the pike. We're going to get in and it needs to clear some stuff out. So for the hundred year of the NFL, they might they might try to make that happen. And if they do I think that would be interesting because I would guess Bill that just based on the way that numbers work, it might potentially create a spot and three or four years where there's a week or class, you know, like each year, you know, they're they decide between five or six people this year. And also, I think probably went with title because. They wanted somebody to rep the patriots dynasty, and, you know, Kevin, y certainly certainly deserving, but you know, you're gonna have people, you know, people Steve Hutchings see hutch Hutchinson fans..

"He poured Webster walked up to me gave me a high five gave me like a hug, and was I be and I want you to know you got me ready for that play. You got me ready for this game. Now always remember that to this day that interception. Put us. So I can't believe I messed that up. I've been looking at the two thousand eleven story that we post day, but I've been reading so many of these lately and thinking about so many of the good memories. But but the takeaway from that is you're sitting here taking credit for that pick. I'm you know, I'm not going to take all credit. I kept my cool ten to fifteen percent. Honestly, you know, I I really feel as though it. He'll people can you people make fun of at times, you know, when when I say this, but I'll on feel like I was one of the most important players on that team. Because if you look at the wide receivers that we had to go up against and in the playoffs. Joy Galloway Terrel Owens, Donald driver, Greg Jennings. And and Randy moss. You could see the Daily Post op forget were whatever post you see them. They ran article on me when they said, I was any moss because I had how I had to get the BB's ready for guys like Mandy balls, and that sort of thing. So, you know, I don't necessarily take credit because I wasn't out there on the field with them, you know, but in terms of preparation work, but often get the guys ready to roll Wilson. Sam bad dog, Madison. The are w co. Orders Kevin Dockery, you can ask. Anyway, those guys about when they saw me lineup against them. You know me being scouting. They knew they were going to take a playoff. They knew they weren't gonna get easy because I was hungry. And I knew I had a job to do to prep those guys and also get myself ready. Just game ready case up to that. So you know, I I like to say that you know, I played a big part in in getting the team rights with goal. It is an example of some of the behind the scenes stuff that goes on. And the fact that that football is about more than you know, one or two guys it's about more than the quarterback. It's about more than the star offense. If player it's about everyone, you know who's involved in a given team. Oh, most definitely you can keep them Gordon further. Like you look at the giants facility in there. All the time in the cafeteria everyone in that organization kind of eat together. You know, the players are down there the marketing team down there. Giants cheapie with Bob Papa and Carl banks and all those guys they're older and another -nother area the cafeteria, and it just goes to show you and what fans really have to understand sometimes that everyone in that building in that facility has one goal in mind. And that's the do whatever they have to do to win the Super Bowl. So if you're on the PR staff, you're getting players ready for all types of interviews in prepping them to what they think that the New York media is gonna throw at them when it comes to marketing, they're doing all types of sponsorships with bud old deals, and Pepsi, and that sort of thing so everyone has a job to do in terms of making organization, look great.

"When you look at Andy Reid. He's a coach that want to hold on regular season said a lot of weird things happened woman. The post is. We're going to see another example of that. No way going does have the firepower to match up with cancer. You'll win this game. The football. Controlling talent possession, forcing a Mahomes mistaker two. That's how they will win. This is a game where it's thirty eight thirty five and a patriots win a shootout. I gotta be honest. I'll be very surprised I think if this game is in shootout fashion advantage chiefs, think of this game's going to be in the low to mid twenties. That's where the advantage will shift in favor of the patriots. But does that have the same sort of firepower? They had when they Randy moss was Welker knowing going to utilize those running backs you're going to see a lot of sunny, Michelle you're gonna see a lot of James why? Canape patriot defense that's been exposed on the road do enough and can a patriot team that's been on beatable and undefeated at Gillette stadium. Not at all this year. Find a way to solve their road woes where on the road this year the patriots during five and quiet moral. All you look at Easter games. Compelling fascinating theater. Games that you would have predicted. At the midway point of this year. You said midway through this year. That's processed. Pets chiefs? That's pressed. No one the four highest scoring offense is Emily. The last standing. Egypt panic Dadis up next on a foul. Don, Don, hey, JJ. What's having appel agree with you on your hall of fame thing? I wasn't gig Jeff camps and others it after him because he's the only one I couldn't think of off the top of my head. I think. Listen, if you're going to compare them, the Craig Biggio to me Jeff Kent was better player in his prime more dominant. Figure was Jeff Ken now, he does not have the longevity of Craig bid GIO way. You're not going to seat three thousand hates or whatnot. But if you're asking me who was the more dominant player in his time period. I'm going to answer. Jeff Kenna won MVP award. I don't disagree with Jeff can for short stand with the Maffeo dominant. Play at the San Francisco. I don't view anything. He said, I just wasn't sure what is overall things. Well, but other than that, I agree with you. And you know, what we touched on Clemens bonds and eventually as much as we don't like the steroid use you're gonna have to let these guys in because the bottom line is during that time frame steroid use wasn't even banned in 'em and major league baseball for the longest time. And then they started the investigations in the early two thousand and then all of a sudden they had a policy it's hard to keep a player out for something. Daddy was doing when it was maybe an unwritten rule, but not the official rule because then when you stop you go back and start looking at Fateh means degrees and did this and who did that. I think you're going to have to let these guys energetic knowledge that during that time period, it was basically. Steroid our for lack of better time. Don. And I know there's no exact science to this berry Basel Roger Clements to me hall of famers while before they put that stuff in their body, and I'm going to take that into account. And when I tried to tell a story at baseball over the last thirty forty years, I mean, I don't know how you tell that story and Cooper style. Without those two guys stuff to do. To the point. That's why I kinda didn't like when they, you know, at the end of the commission is run there. He made made it a point of going after Alex Rodriguez. I think the kind of Davis. Legacy. I I didn't like it though. Because. You know, they kinda all turns their I on it when it was going on. And it kinda brought baseball back when McGwire and Sosa were hitting all the home run. And I thought it was a bad bite on his legacy to turn around and not even have one of these all time great players from his era in the hall of fame because the guy fainted bad about Don, you have a Commissioner in the hall of fame. Now, bud Seelig who presided and overlooked this era at the time. So he's all fame and the players are not. I don't see that makes sense just thought, and I I'm I'm with you. I thought it was shoddy what he did it beyond. And don't get me wrong. I'm not a big supporter of the guys who cheat it. I thought he Alex Rodriguez a scapegoat just quipping on the football games. Tomorrow. JJ L being Dallas fan. I'll be watching them with no emotions, which sometimes makes it more fun because I don't have any skin. In a game. I will be thinking that I think they're saying they're gonna win. And I actually think that a Andy Reid in are going to get it done. I think it's finally that time I know everybody beats up on Andy Reid for not being able to get a Super Bowl championship. But you gotta look at the fact he did a lot of that with Donovan macnabb as his quarterback in Alex Smith, and I'm not saying they're not good play. But they were not dominant quarterback. Ty. Like what happened with tower getting all those teams to a AFC championships and even one Super Bowl with Neil O'Donnell and Kordell Stewart you need the franchise quarterback. And I think he has it. So now we're going to get to see what he can do. Thanks a lot. Jay. I appreciate your call, man. Appreciate it as always. And yes, this is the most talented quarterback by four dandy rate has ever had. Donovan McNabb was a very good quarterback in his prop out. Smith had some very good years in Kansas City. You're going to try and compare out Smith and Patrick Mahomes style lives. I mean have fun. Apples and oranges. By the way. One note on Jeff cat, one two three four five six seven eight years over one hundred Arby s. Career average to nine hundred twenty seven one zero seven at second base. So often is that the queen's Allen is up next on a foul is up. Alan. Jay z. How you doing? Alan. I wanted to travel is. I say a protein can never lose the best college team the protein bears, but I'd like to see well forget about Cavaliers Cavaliers if you're even going to entertain that it's Duke against this team. And sorry, it's always going to be the NBA team. Because we didn't have professional athletes dialed in chrome men. Eight nine zero Dacian they're going to overwhelm the college kid, always and forever Providence, Rhode Island Tony up next on a foul itself. Tony, hey, how's it going? Really? Getting into Russia. Mike picks always say. Getting it done. But the groupies close quarterback people year by a lot of people to. That game. Remain competitive. "That is a New York Times crossword app. All right, one last thought on the on the Tonio brand thing. It's interesting that the patriots after the Randy moss experiment have completely steered clear of like marquee receiver type and they've had chances like they I felt like they had chances to even go for like, Larry FitzGerald type and for the most part bowel. Check has tried the money bother receiver position and done. You know, these kind of second and third tier guys even like somebody like Jarvis Landry who I think they could have had a chance to potentially Drake for last year. He's doesn't care. He feels like he can get by with whatever because he's got Brady running back by committee. They just don't want to spend money on offense. I don't know if that's by accident or whether that's like a real plan by them. I I don't know what Bella checks thinking exactly I talked to a guy yesterday. I wrote on the ring or today, basically said he thinks that the it was a psychological hurdle. When you have a veteran quarterback for any team, including the. Theriot's rethink will. I had this quarterback everything on this side of the ball. Is is fine. Yeah. And that's what happened to the colts with Andrew luck that happened. Wait. You know, this guy blamed some capper next problems in San Francisco with the fact that they didn't put anybody around him once he signed that contract. And so I think teams see quarterbacks as solving more problems than they actually do. And so I I know the pats were in that spot those six traded the ember. Yeah. And so bell shook probably view this as okay, we have gronk we can get a guy like Josh Gordon on a flyer. There are you know, a lot of receivers who can run routes and do different things in Troy Brown. Was hugely vitamin d Eshelman is a hugely valuable person. But he was never Troy brand. You know, I think that what they realized I actually just remembered I had a conversation with some within the patriots. But they could be yours. You're and I cannot believe I find on this. So basically, they made the decision and Lombardi's talked about it. You know, we've talked about it that inside receivers can be just as viable as outside receivers. Now. Side receiver so way, more expensive and a Randy moss. Type who's gonna come on a low cost situation from Oakland where he was mailing it in. That's only gonna come around every couple of years. Maybe maybe we're finding out that Amari Cooper was like that. Because Mark Cooper it basically admitted that he wasn't giving it his all in Oakland. And now he's in Dallas. And he saved Jason GARRETT'S job. Congratulations Cowboys Clapper. Yeah. And so I just think that there's the they sort of viewed you hear these stories from New England all the time they sort of you the inside guys is better than the outside guys. And I think that's slightly coming home to roost solo bit because you know, the outside guys are quite quite good. Well, nether problem for the pats is they've tried to cut costs on speed. So take fliers on speed guys. And for whatever reason, none of them really worked out from all the sexual jokes..

He's doing, and I think he's going to go to like, you know, he's going to go on a couple of vacations than Bella chest could be like, let's go. The Providence Journal Konare is dead. What's what's your writing? His dad rights for a local paper, Minneapolis. He's very hip providence, James very happy doing it. He's in a lot of press boxes. Larry fits. No, no Super Bowls made one though, Terrell Owens. No Super Bowls made one. Randy moss. No Super Bowls made one Isaac Bruce one Super Bowl. Didn't Randy moss. Make to was he on the Niners the Harbaugh Niners. Oh, I guess that counts. Yeah. You bummed out that it wasn't just the patriots Sakata mayor Tim Brown nose Super Bowl. Got there. Steve smith. They win. It was he on that ravens team that one. I can't even remember I don't think he was I don't think those Super Bowls made his Gettleman is willing to cut him. And he came after Marvin Harrison won a Super Bowl and might have murdered by with as quickly as we can't get get Marvin Harrison onto the next a rare good, then it is not linger on this story that should be instead of the seventeenth internet as podcast need a Marvin Harrison what the fuck out with has a significant difference, which is Marvin Harrison is flagging about walk in the earth. Reggie wayne. He's tenth all time receiving yards. Peyton will do to you. Andre johnson. No Super Bowls, James Lofton. I don't think he won Chris Carter. No a boat. You get the point. If we we care so much about these receivers. But I wonder if it's more like fantasy league versus okay? So they talk me out of that point. Okay. So worth it to pay Antonio Brown. Twenty two million. Dollars a year. I think that wide receiver has been overrated. I think it has been overrated. But I think now the way football is set up with the spread with the modern offenses and all that stuff. The number one thing so provable, focus, will they have a a war wins over replacement thing. I last you Michael Thomas was the number one non quarterback and defensive player. The reason being that first downs are so critically important. And Michael Thomas is really freaking good at getting first downs. And I think that that's what teams are figuring out. Now is getting first downs on first and second down. Not punting those things keeping hold of the ball is the new quivalent of not bunting and baseball not give voluntarily giving up outs. Just continue to have the ball. And so if you're a wide receiver who can just move the chains as cliches that sounds if it's analytically proven you can do that. You are as valuables any non quarterback in the league, very important and yet the bell. Check patriots the since Maas left gronk has really been the only. All pro receiver. They've had right? But grunk is. I mean, he's a unicorn it was Unicor. I mean there there's no one there's one like see how he's past tense for gronk. Oh, I know. Are you there yet mentally count on? I'm sorry. Now, I don't I mean if he was considering retirement last year he had a play in the jets game. I watched the jets game with my dad and through tomb turned around the guy missed him. And now he's running in the open field. My dad, and I are going. No, no, go down. Don't get hurt. It's really terrifying. I I think wide receivers bring another thing to the table. And I'm not saying all of them do because I don't think Deandra Hopkins has been like this a he seems like a great teammate. No. Oh, no. He oh, no. I didn't know what you were going for. He I think he is. I think FitzGerald has been an awesome team. This isn't a blanket statement. It's just something that I think we've seen more often than not is the superstar receiver is also Mimi me me me me me. What about me? What about me? I'm not getting the ball enough. What about me and football is such a team oriented sport that you have this one guy who you can put over here, and he's the one selfish guy, and he's all he cares about assist stats and his numbers and all that stuff..

"On this moment. I just don't have any fat. It sounds like I'm just ripping t over to. But you got fake. He's going to do something tonight. I just take his ring. Well, look, I'm offended by the phrasing of the question that Whitlock, obviously frightening. He let me look on us. If you heard that word, he won't be hey, she'll handle tonight ceremony with class. There's on what you call class. Just what I should have been in the first ballot hall of fame class. As you say when you invite me, you invite mob behavior, and guess what? That is. I'm gonna let y'all know I don't know anybody else. So and helped me that has ever retired from the game top three by the numbers at their position. And was not a first ballot Vanisi football hall talk to you right down. So so guess what? I get it. This is simple as an hall of fame committee can do themselves a good deed by emitting this te'o son jaw when he was playing reporters media everybody out there -til was like y'all my feet and my mercy. And then when you all finally had the power your son them back. Okay. Now te'o is like, okay. Invite me back. I'm gonna let everybody know why I'm disgruntle, and it will be disruptive. It'll be honest because I think te'o is standing on the proper premise, y'all plan shade, y'all out here being petty was so one status and Accolate earned that don't take that away from me. And then don't add to my sunny by put Randy moss. In there who te'o has some numbers better in some not. I hope he doesn't do anything not just embarrassing himself. But also his family and the people just around right? I think that we all forget because he didn't go and stuff like that. Bill Barnwell says all 32 teams can get to Super Bowl LIII

"At me because you are just consuming information, nonstop as football approaches. Well, I mean, Mike Reese is saying that this is the second worst wide receiver core that's on Brady is ever had. I mean. I find that fascinating that is that the second was that Tom Brady's really never want has has done so much winning with such poor wide receivers with the exception of Randy moss. That is pretty amazing. It's kinda like Nick Sabin doing all that winning without having a quarterback. And now he has the greatest quarterback of the history of college football. So there's that and then there's Bill Barnwell who wrote a piece explaining how every team in the NFL could win the Super Bowl and how they do it and what their percentages are of doing it, and he grouped them in category, Mike, you have a chance you, you have a chair. Now it's a point, one percent chance, but you have a shot. Mike Ryan is a Browns fan has been since his childhood when his I will eat that the dollar

Randy Moss rode big-play ability all the way to Hall of Fame

"Randy moss is a, I first bottle hall of fame. My colleague here is very proud of him. He deserves it out of voter him in the first ballot hall of fame as well. But if we're going to use the criteria to keep te'o Al. How do we justify doing that for Randy moss who literally admitted he played when he wanted to. Te'o played heart all the time. There were times and Oakland. Randy moss admitted. He took off. Because he was frustrated, played hard in England played hard in Minnesota. Wasn't the case in Oakland. What about that. See. That kind of up and down mood econo- stuff has no place in voting when it comes to the hall of fame. Your level of production matters. For example, there are people who say, Chris Weber's a hall of Famer in the NBA look at his numbers. I would say to you is damn show a hall of fame if we talk and fat five. But we talk an MBA career yet a numbers might be, you know what? I remember. I remember ready for this new knowing cat. I remember how to basketball was a hot potato for him when they were in the Western Conference finals against the Lakers and he couldn't give that ball up to Mike Bibby soon enough. That's what I remember. Reggie Miller never went to an NBA finals, but dad brother always wanted to ball. That's not what I saw over Chris Webber. It's not what I do. Numbers watch Shoygu deserves. It still was short deserves. It. What he accomplished in college Shoygu deserves. That's too many moments. When the franchise face the star of the team on the NBA level, not college basketball, NPA level one, no parts that basketball and thank God. He had Mike Bibby and pages to yackobitz and to a lesser degree Vladivostok. I remember. Would the dog Christie's in the world. I remember. So those kind of things that I'm talking about. Got to be about production. It can't be about emotion. And that's why support te'o in that it eight say ESPN. It's inundate seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six thing I want to touch on real quick before the calls is this new NFL rule where you're getting penalized, teen, y'all penalty of for leading with your helmet. I got no problem with it. If you're talking about avoiding launching your head and being like a missile. But I saw the the the penalty call last night by fichus were guys extending the on and trying to lead in it with their shoulder, but ended up their head. You know, the the head ended up touching the body. I something you know what the problem with that is, do y'all know that the hit the Anthony ball put on my man, Aaron Rodgers last year? Do you know that would be a penalty? That is utterly ridiculous. There is nothing illegal or de legitimate about that hit. That is preposterous. Absolutely. No place for it. And I'm here to tell you. Here. The biggest reason why Yasha hate this rule. It's going to delay the game more. Gonna late, the late the game more. As if we don't have enough time spent with the game being delayed because all of these damn penalties. Understanding trying to make the game safer, but dammit, there's a risk that comes with it either planet or you're not. I think the NFL's got this wrong. Aides say he has been seven to nine, three, seven, seven, six to the phones. We go trae you live, Stephen, what's going on with your even. Good. Thank you..

"No and king or your wife did yeah we were sitting around trying to think of a name. For like about three weeks after I signed with NBC and every name somebody. Hated we've thought of two hundred names and one day and. King says hey isn't the Sunday night In called football night in America why don't you call your, column, football morning in America And I said. To myself Sam flood is going to like that name We're going to get some agreement on that one right. There I think king deserves a little cut of the KYW due, to I think she gets a little cut All right the topic. Right now in the NFL was what Oh look out We got a spill and I'll six-year. Bill the, topic I, mean I guess unfortunately is Terrel Owens or. Levy on Bill let me start. With, Sarah head Do we know what his gripe is I assume I mean look I I'm assuming that it's the I got into my third year and the way I look at that basically is. That two thirds of the three hundred and some odd people who were? In. The pro football hall of fame got in after? Their first year of eligibility does? That, make Harry Carson and Ron Yeary and Lynn Swann and, Fran tarkenton does that make them less hall of, fame deserving does that make their bus. Different no it's just the silliest controversy in hall of. Fame history, but it's, a controversy so we must address it but. Also this is what he wants I mean Yeah if he went there and, just said thank, you ungrateful and it's great to. Join these these fellow hall. Of famers You know there's there's no I was out in, Tahoe last week that golf tournament. Aaron Rodgers out there but was out, having a drink with a bunch of older guys like people of? Peter king's, generation and one of them said to me does he have any idea. How for the, rest of his life I mean, he's going to be able to make money off the hall of fame now if he this is, the hall of fame is he going. To be able to make money off the hall of fame and this was a this. Was a, very well respected person and so you know the? Hall? Of fame sort. Of shuffles, business hall of famers ways I mean are they, going to do that with Tarallo wins now I don't know it's I that's, not the. Biggest reason or the biggest anything but it just strikes? Me, that he's cutting off his nose despite, his face but, whatever should he have been a. First ballot hall of Famer I mean I've supported him all along I didn't think it was some, grave injustice because I do think there were some things against him Nobody. Wants to hear this but he was a third of a teammate that's all there is to it And he dropped the ball a lot particularly later in his career. I in my. Opinion though without any question he deserves to be in the pro football hall of fame I, supported him I'm glad he's in and I could? Care less whether he's in canton or not in Kim, do we view Randy moss differently than we do. And I think we do because Randy moss. To me I look at Randy moss is a singular, player I don't look at Tarallo Enzi singular player I think Randy. Moss was such an incredible, deep thread so incredibly great stretching the field and dominating games with his speed And his hands deep downfield. He had great hands I I mean I. Look at Randy moss is being fifteen percent better player, whatever the number save and tear allowance also he's grown up yeah Yeah he has Randy moss who's really has yeah yeah he's shirt. And now Tara loans wants to still make a comeback in the CFL I read I just read that this morning on my way up here in teaches own if he wants to do it I will say, this few years, ago when, I. Was running the QB we had CFL week and I went up to two games in the NFL and I met like three. Or four, coaches had long conversation John health, Nagel remember him yeah he was a either a coach or, GM of the stampede IRS state Penn State. Guy anyway as the. Former giants quarterback coach. But anyway they all all these coaches say all these guys come up from. The US and they say..

"Talk about him as if he's not even they're doing the right thing we can't spend just the moment for all these other guys talking about the guy is not here you cannot do that take am deals doing his own thing wherever he's doing his own thing and god bless them but i knew when they mentioned it as a class but why should you still those other guys moment think about the numbers from terrell owens jc we're talking about he ranks eighth all time receptions second in receiving yards third in receiving touchdowns one hundred fifty three planning for all these franchises the forty niners philadelphian dallas buffalo in cincinnati fifteen year career in the hall of fame with so many greats in the same hall of fame classes bryner lacquer and randy moss and ray lewis but yet he's wants to do his own thing but he's the only one and that's the thing that's just so bothersome to me like you so that's what you want to be known for if you're used to be known as a great wide receiver that was accepting the yellow jacket at the places having a male to you yeah spot on it look michael irvin this is part of the chorus fry the approach that i thought mike lurvin the great wide receiver at a dallas thought this position he'd take you remember his speech was back ten years ago just over ten years ago when he was inducted i believe it was two thousand seven as passionate as michael irvin was and you could tell appreciated the depth the gravity of the honor so this is a guy that feels like this is something that's so monumental not only should you should you appear but you should be overly gracious terrell at designer which is absolutely what owens is not but again this is who terrell owens is this is how hope remembered in his final chapter of spotlight and this is the way it should go but yeah to those guys at that class that you mentioned why should the hall of fame draw more spotlight and attention to this disc coming for teo i think the proper move for the hall of fame is to say he's part of the class mentioned his name and keep it.

"Terrel owens should have been ducked into the hall of fame i don't give a damn what anybody says thank you should have been a first ballot all the fame his numbers with top six like the top six categories he was top three demand was sensational jerry rice randy moss and him top receivers nfl history statistically there is no excuse what tara lomas wasn't inducted into the hall of fame if not the first indefinitely the second ballot and understand this criticism and i get all of that that that's not you know that that that doesn't that doesn't make him look well but he should have been in a hall of fame having said all of that this just continues the narrative against you instead of being recognized for being a hall of famer you're going to be recognized as being the cantankerous individual that so many people wanted to keep out of the hall of fame and that's going to be the narrative associated with you throughout history why do that just because you want to avoid one day of ceremony where no other player in nfl history has ever avoided that ceremony why would you do to yourself i got love for teo i think is a good brother man doesn't lie doesn't even cuss but i got news for you i'm gonna do everything that i can't talk him out of that i'm gonna do everything about power to try to talk him into going to that ceremony i probably won't be successful because he's man thinks himself.
