Matt Burke is still on the rise and he hasn't even come close to Maxon outwear his ability can take him so You know I read some of the comments that You know the Joe Joe said today said I don't date for for a long time and I agree one hundred percent with exactly what they were saying about Matt and And I think that They understood you know the kind of player that they were going to get the value. That was air when he was available and Like I said I think it's just a great situation. "This event paid for by exit polls USA seven hundred W. L. W. what you order the books fourteen nothing Cincinnati Bearcats obviously scored first today gets the UConn Huskies and that's unfortunate for UConn head coach Randy Edsall that some money he has the most unusual contract if any football coach in the country we took the job a couple years ago his agent said it's not really fair to build in a bunch of incentives based on wins in all games because it's a major rebuild so instead they built in all sorts of incentives based on that for example when you cut scores first he gets two thousand Bucks if they lead in rushing yards at the end of the game he gets two thousand Bucks if they win he gets ten thousand Bucks if they finish in the top six in staff in the week at the end of the year he gets ten thousand Bucks it's almost to the point where like the gain of six there's nine dollars and twelve cents it's the strangest thing I think I've ever seen his base salary is a million which is obviously good eats yeah but in this day and age in this conference is the lowest paid guy Randy Edsall cores this is Randy Edsall two point no he was the coach here well at UConn awhile back when they kind of came out of the one of the labels in that time and went to greener pastures and is now back in the course you've gone has not been able to recover quite honestly since he's been back here as we all know they ought to leave for the big east really up in the air what they're going to do with football it is far as the scheduling conflicts for the time being they'll be independent third down and seven officially for Cincinnati at the Yukon twenty eight yard line this is the first play of the second quarter the Bearcats on top fourteen nothing they line up with two receivers left into out.

"He hasn't played down tails naps. That's why i asked the question. I honestly don't know but i think it's exciting believe it or not. We do have a ton of northwestern fans that listen to this show and <hes> and it's just exciting to have a high level high level prospects such as hunter johnson playing quarterback. I watched a lot of north western football a few years ago with our powell roger sermon yeah and they've always been pretty good and despite that watching with roger was a lot of moments of like watching him sing. I hate everything everything. I hate everything to like the tune of super mario too so i i for his sake hope that this isn't a year that hundred johnson is is that town. We're like oh man. Northwestern's offense is dealing. Do it for lodger to it for rogers a good dude do it for after yeah. Okay i got i just i'm gonna ask you about indiana again. Let's go back to blooming tunnel. Let's do it okay. Who do we have left here. We got maryland rutgers. Okay hi. I'm pretty down on maryland okay i. I don't know if you are what is even five win. Somme seems kind of like a stretch coach. I i know they get josh jackson but was a five five plus when maryland team look like in two thousand nineteen right they were five and seven last year and they decided to go a a different direction at head football coach brought in michael oxley. He's from the area came over from alabama. <hes> knows the area well which is occurring curtain fantasy thing great thing great fantasy d._m._v. area knows the area well. You're going to hear it time and again here. Here's the problem that i see from maryland. I'll start with the schedule before november. They've got howard syracuse tough off game at temple penn state tough game at rutgers at purdue indiana and minnesota now that doesn't strike me as a cakewalk walk but it is supremely easier than their november were. They've got michigan at ohio state home against nebraska and at michigan state <hes> it's very possible they lose all for those games now they lose all four of those games and that means they gotta be acuse rutgers perdue indiana minnesota like there's just not a lot of wiggle room. There and i'm not sure how it happens if it happens. I like mike loxley. I i liked the fact that he's got a passion for coaching in this area i do you fell into the trap i do. I like it yeah. I liked that. He brings josh jackson over from virginia tech. He's most likely going to be the starter. I like anthony mcfarland. We talked about him in the dude watchlist a great freshman campaign but the wideouts are really young. They're all sophomores or redshirt sophomores off wars which is crazy. The offensive line has some experience but not a lot of depth and the defense last year couldn't generate generate any pressure now. They get a big boost shack. Smith is transferring over from clemson which opened some is but otherwise they just they got a lot to figure out out here and i don't know how they get to five wins could see a step back. I could see a foreign aid. I could see even three three and nine. What if mike loxley makes it super clear how much he likes coaching. That was the reason you gave for. Why maryland and is something to be excited about long-term <hes> yeah. I think we're on the same but okay longer term. The area is rich with talent. It's all yes. Yes pretty good players. There yeah and i remember we made the joke about randy. Etzel and randy edsall came down and took his dream job and that was one of the things that he highlighted he wanted to try and keep those kids caused home right. I don't know if they've been all that successful doing that. Mike loxley is a good recruiter and has been for awhile. Nosy aries got these pipelines. Hopefully that can bear some fruit for the terrapins okay. Do you have the those little headlines that are on the bottom of every website like the sponsored headlines..

"And you have to see how the dominant wanted Harper and Machado. You're looking at a team or you say he's going to be the nets two point. Oh, where they're going to be crowned as the air appearance to this. And they're gonna fall just short or they're going to try and rebuild in a different way to when they won that World Series decade, again, I think you're exactly right on the teams that I could see him going to you know, I look I didn't live in Philly. But I worked in Philly for four years is just not a price. Harper town to me. I don't see the fit there in terms of. I know those fans and what they like in terms of player tough on their stars. And very pleasant people. They're tough on the stars. But they value people who show up all the time, and who are perceived as very hard worker effort and one of the Kent lackadaisical go after the ball and right feel things and I'm not I'm not killing Bryson's. 'cause I understand you want. Not only do you want to get two free agency. You wanna have a ten twelve year run heart. I well, you can't run to the wall all the all out. And sometimes you don't run every ground ball out to end up with with the. Charlie hustles of Manny much. I mean, I. And Phillies immediate towns a tough town. And so I just I'm not sure that's a fit for him. Let me get to the other big story. Locally the university of Maryland has apparently agreed to offer the job which will be taken to Mike Loxley. Mike Loxley has been at Maryland before he's a great recruiter. Everybody knows. He's a great recruiter. News local he he has recently served as the offense coordinator at Alabama. Alabama's great jour- Alabama's great so Mike Loxley. There's there's a lot of shine that falls off on Mike Loxley for that. Mike, lots has been a head coach twice once an interim level at the university of Maryland. After Randy Edsall was fired think that's once for a couple of years, plus at New Mexico. Yes, where he had all sorts of bad off the field issues. Here is his record as a head coach in college football three and. Thirty six to three Goodwin's though could win homecoming three and thirty six and Maryland. And let me give you a list of people at Maryland has higher in the relatively recent past. And I'm gonna leave out Bobby Ross and Ralph reach because we'd all be agreement that they're really good. They're the top two. Yeah. Dave hired a Vander Linden, Duffner Edsel and Durkan. Yeah. They have gotten it wrong. Much more often than they have gotten it right now. I'm so I'm speaking for wilbon and me, I'm gonna ask David if I'm speaking for you. I would not have gone to Mike locks. Okay. Yeah. I mean, you don't obviously because he was a successful head coach was not you hired him to recruit your hiring done the pants because he's a local guy that people in town know, and like you're hiring him because he played just coach at Alabama with Nick Sabin and your heart because you you're hoping for the Belichick corollary. You're hoping that the second time around he does better. And maybe he does and maybe he doesn't. But that's what your banking on. Done it. You know, I don't know that much about college football coaching to know, if he was the hottest system, if there was somebody else that you could have brought in that would have done a good job. But I think Maryland, I can understand them doing it from the simple standpoint that everything is in so much turmoil over there people alumni people that give money wanna see if Amelio face somebody that they know I can't believe they let this athletic director, stay and make this higher. That is the one thing docs, believe I can't believe they paid a search firm to find the guy who's been in right?.

"One more vacancy has been filled Maryland announced they've hired Alabama offensive coordinator, Michael Loxley as the Terrapins next head football coach prior to his current stint with trims and tied. He was Maryland's offensive coordinator under coach Randy Edsall from twenty twelve to two thousand fifteen and in fact, he serve as interim head coach at Maryland. When Edsall was fired midway through the two thousand fifteen season urban Meyer is stepping down as Ohio state's head coach following the Rose Bowl. And it'll be offensive coordinator Ryan day taking over as head coach. In fact, they is reportedly agreed to a five year deal as the new head coach of the buckeyes former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant just announced he is headed to Missouri. He was sixteen and two is starter for the Tigers leading them to last year's college football playoff but was replaced by freshman Trevor Lawrence early this season. Hammering home. His message Feinstein never asked him about. Rush limbaugh. It became Mary. Weekdays eleven one talk radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten wwl AC. Santa Bali downtown. Crazy. Upstage cost of labor. There's an interesting cultural training, I've always maintained that politics is downstream. Of culture. The gig economy as it's called JiJi gig, a term that was really only used by aggies to refer to what you do to a frog. The stabbing motion. Or the act of stabbing. Or more commonly how musicians refer to having a a book date for which they are going to get paid a gig. We're going they even use it as verb. I'll talk to some my musician buddies. What are you up to man, I've been gigging hard means a show every night? The concept of a gig. Some work. Is really used widely by young folks today in reference to the gig economy, and that is things like Uber and lift. Where? Guy gets off work at five o'clock. He goes into his Uber app. He turns it on. And he becomes a taxi driver. Guy gets off from work five o'clock his car's in the shop today. He becomes a taxi user. So he puts into Uber. I need a drive this kind of car I want this is the the the level of car I want, and I must say they're imperfect on that. But whatever. Economy, middle middle, SUV, limo, whatever and an exchange has been created. Well, American industry would not be what it is today. If it weren't if it weren't for our stock market. Our stock market allowed it an exchange whereby a low level person financially. Could invest in the largest of companies as long as they're public companies long as they sell parts of themselves out there. Thus was created the exchange originally the new York Stock Exchange. Well, there are other commodities exchanges. Now, there's NASDAQ which is more tech heavy, but this exchange the creation of a place where people could interact is as profound as the concept of currency. I've told the story before so forgive me for being tedious. But if I raise horses. And you grow turnip greens. I would like to buy five bushels of turnip turnip greens. And you say I will show you five bushels return beans, and I say, well, I don't have anything small enough to pay you because my horse is worth a lot. That's worth two years worth of turnip greens. Well, that's a very complicated arrangement. So the reason we created currency was so that small transactions could occur. Because I might require a three thousand bushels of turnip greens before I would ever trade you a horse. So it was an imperfect trade if things were of unequal value. So currency allowed you to assign one rock or one pepper corn or whatever the currency was a horse was five thousand so that when I sell a horse, a horde my five thousand pepper corns, and I can go out and buy some turnip greens and some olives and subpoena tes and whatever else I bought. That currency increased the amount of trade because it facilitated the trade it made trading easier. One of the problems with trading was the imperfection in in in value of things well currency made things much easier. So to an exchange makes things much easier because there are lots of people out there willing to drive for thirty minutes or an hour or two hours or three hours. But they don't want to go to work for a taxi company. You gotta pay the taxi company for the use of their vehicle. You gotta wait till the call comes in. And then be dispatched out to the call. Why do all that? And you had to go through the medallion system because the government gotten away and said, oh, we need to license. The taxis. What a joke. I used to be chairman of the committee that licensed the taxes in the city of Houston. What a complete and utter joke. The public doesn't need to be protected from taxi drivers any more than we need to be protected from nannies or carpenters or anything else. The marketplace will work these things out will there be a bad guy. Who becomes an Uber driver? Sure, Rebecca were taxi drivers to the inefficiency to people meant that people didn't want to call taxis. Because if you remember how bad it was you would call into the taxi and an hour later. The surly dispatcher will send somebody out to you. And by that time, you wish you hadn't even done it. Because you find another ride from somebody else. So what people do they get in their car drunk, all the reasons that people Uber now are are because it's better than the taxi. Well, when you think about how this exchange occurred, Airbnb who would have guessed that people would allow other people to live in their house in their house. That's an intimate thing, man. That's an invasion of your space. But they do it. They do it every day. The Airbnb was originally because this couple allowed somebody to come into their house and all they got was an air mattress. That's where the air came from. They gave him an air mattress. Twenty bucks a night, or whatever it was. Because if you could do that for ten nights, there's two hundred bucks, and they were sociable couple. So there you go. But now these level technology has allowed these levels of chain of exchange to occur to such an extent that young people can have a day job and two or three days a month. They can work a little extra and make a little extra. And there are people who don't like to go through the traditional corporate route. They don't want to stay at a corporate hotel. Then wanna use a corporate taxi? They want to engage with each other people just like them and there's nothing wrong with that. We're all slightly tribal and parochial in our own ways. And this allows at this gig economy works, except here's the problem. The gig economy is based the gig economy tends to serve more than anything else. Young fiercely independent people. Who are not joiners. They're probably slightly left leaning to moderate, they're younger. They're bigger risk takers. But the gig economy runs exactly opposite of the political ideology that they've committed to which is state ISM socialism. Governmental regulation, governmental control. So now, it's making these these millennials into the ultimate libertarians the ultimate fiscal libertarians because they don't want the government getting in between them an Uber. They want to go to south by southwest and get into an Uber. Not have to wait three hours on a taxi. Which was what you were what you were known to do before they wanna stay where they want to stay in the towns where they want to stay in. They don't want the they want to be able to rent out their apartment and not have to pay a local hotel occupancy tax through the government. It's an interesting fraying philosophically between the mindsets. It's a Jekyll and Hyde condition. And if we do our job if Republicans if conservatives if if liberty if conservative Libertarian-leaning conservative Republicans can do a better job explaining to young people, we don't have to lose all their votes. Many of them are actually freedom loving market believers, the gig economy is the ultimate free. Marketplace..

"To to you know, if it was three to three we would have maybe become to a different conclusion we made a larger sample Navy in in the the other. other two Josh he was confident that his defense would score safety. It's a great point picnics. That's a great point. Maybe there are playing Nathan Peterman. So. Four taking four times. Deferring it twice. We obviously need more data points here. But let's look at the larger story here. The college stats are hard to come by. At least I was not able to come by them. Maybe someone who's more intrepid would have come by college taking the ball versus deferring stats, but in the NFL is very clear trend. So when teams were given the choice to defer their choice second half that started in two thousand eight only seven point eight percent of coin toss winters chose to defer. But by two thousand fifteen then number had changed. This is like pretty crazy. It had gone from seven point eight percent to seventy six point four percent of teams chose to defer in the second half. And then according to yes, PIN, stats and information as of two thousand fifteen teams who deferred one fifty four point nine percent of the time. Nation for choosing to defer is that. Teams like to do this. And it seems borne out by logic and numbers to some degree is the teams like to be able to double up because you can game the clock. If you have the ball last in the first half, you can milk the clock try to score with no time left and then immediately get the ball back and the second half as if you get the ball first in the first half, you kind of seed control of that. You lose the opportunity for doing that kind of double up is it does it give you a huge advantage. Probably not have data on how many teams and the first half with the ball. And then start the second half with the ball. We don't that would be a great, gentlemen, trumpet. Somebody would need to be intrepid to that. But Bill Belichick. This was like a New York Times story of years ago at that point he had chosen to defer forty eight times out of fifty. It seems like they're a few exceptions and the NFL and maybe an college. But it seems like deferring is the thing that most coaches do. So Randy Edsall. I don't know seems like the guy might be might be wanting to get cash the extra two thousand dollars every week for his one eight team. I don't know. Let's just be clear because you really haven't been super clear that Randy Edsel has getting bonuses based on how his unpaid players perform for him in very specific situations during games, I was like extremely clear about that. At the beginning of the. I'm just reiterating it because it needs to be reiterated. So more evidence needed early indications early research shows that Randy edsels behavior might be questionable. If I were Yukon fan or player, I might wonder as my coach just trying to make an extra two thousand dollars in cash off of players on paid labor here. I don't know. Maybe it's a question you should raise about your one eight coach, hey, it is cap that one hundred thousand dollars these bonuses. So her year for you. So that seem sensible. For for Randy Edsall, one eight coach of Yukon, he might he might be deferred with that record before too long. That is our show for today. "A columnist for the newburyport daily news in Massachusetts complained that four fits in the name of player safety were affecting standings and playoff races and depriving seniors on both teams of their final glories Lawrence academy's forfeit against governor's academy. The columnist noted with a straight. Keyboard quote, cost many of governors college hopefuls an opportunity to build up their stats and tape for college scouts because Josh that's what it's all about. That's what high school football is truly truly about stacked teams taking advantage of depleted under-sized inexperienced and exhausted opponents to pile up statistics that might impress college recruiters for war on football. Just never ends. Josh, what's your Keith mall? So there's nothing as stark about. About the inequities and disparities in college football. As when the great Steve Berkowitz of USA today each weekend starts tweeting out, the various incentives and bonuses that coaches get financial bonuses because their players one games. This was on my list of future after balls. So it's all yours. Now. Josh. Sorry stephan. I got there first. So here are some examples of some things that Berkowitz tweeted recently, he has access to the contract seemingly of every major college football coach with all of their different incentive clauses. So for example, after Alabama beat LSU not that big a deal, but after Alabama coach Nick Sabin got a seventy five thousand dollar bonus because they clinched the SEC west title, so congratulations, Alabama players you just guy. You're extremely rich coach seventy five thousand dollars earning a spot in the conference championship game. Fresno state's Jeff Tedford got fifty thousand dollars because his team got eight wins his earned three hundred thousand dollars and bonuses. So far the season must make the Fresno state players. Just feel so good that they're coach is gone many incentives. And then, of course, we're all following you. Yukon, which lost to Tulsa, forty nine to nineteen that my favorite contract Yukon is now one eight on the year and uconn coach Randy Edsall got a bonus of two thousand dollars head coach Randy Edsall of the one eight Yukon huskies lost forty nine and nineteen because you con- scored first and the game so Chang Varandy, it's all two thousand dollars for his team losing for United nineteen so USA today where Berkowitz works. They tweeted out about a month ago. This graphic of all of Randy at Seoul's bizarre contract incentives therm as ING so he gets two thousand dollars each for scoring I leading at halftime. And if his team leads the game in points per possession or total offense, which is the points per possession thing is particularly than on defense. He gets two thousand dollars each. For his team leading an tackles for loss margin points per possession turnover margin and sacks. He also gets up to fifty thousand dollars. If his team averages more than forty points on the air and fifty thousand dollars if his team gives up less than ten there's kind of a sliding scale situation there Morgan Moriarty of Espy nation described this as you head coach Randy edsels contract is basically just a prop bets sheet, which I thought was a fair characterization. So this is all new to me like I hadn't seen this before this weekend. And then I looked in there. Applies to Berkowitz tweeting about Randy edsels weird score I situation and Mike waters or reporter for Syracuse dot com said some intrepid reporter should check to see how often uconn won the toss and elected to receive. I don't know if I would describe myself as intrepid, but I do have the ability to search to Google things. And so this was the task that I said for myself. On Sunday evening. Do does Randy Edsall who has a financial incentive for his team to score. I win his team wins. The toss does he electricity which would allow give his team better chance to score? I rather than deferring to the second half going on defense. So they played twenty one games last two years, and I did confirm with Berkowitz that this this incentive clause has been in effect for both seasons. So at sole twenty one games with the score first incentive. You can't as only one the six times. So we have a small data set here. That's really weird those six twenty one. So they've taken the ball. I four times out of six so it's not like a slam dunk. It's all you does it every time certainly not an opposite direction where he defers every time, but we got a little bit of evidence for.

"Have a piece of here to do some things in the sun belt, and they have a real horrible performance in their game against Louisiana Monroe. They were touchdown favorite in that spot. They lose that game forty four twenty five but Georgia Southern place Troy this week. So I think another thing you can kind of look at here at this time of the year is maybe teams that aren't accustomed to being in that role. And then play that big game. We talk about look ahead spots. All the time. I think sometimes they can be very very overrated. And I'll touch on them in my situation piece this week with a few of these games. But in that respect, they're not overrated at all. When you're a team like Georgia, Southern and then all of a sudden, you're on Troy with almost essentially that part of the sun belt, you know in the hanging. In the balance there for that game. It they even even tougher spot for a team like that so situation. Hey, Takami, very very big at this time of the year and to circle back here real quickly to the big road favorites, fourteen or more, I'll give you an example of one game here on the card this weekend SMU is on the road at uconn. And we've talked about Yukata tawny here on this show giving out a lot of stats about just how bad their defense is giving up forty nine points to Tulsa, get another indication of just how bad Yukon is. But my number on this game is about I think twelve and a half or thirteen in my power ratings. Maybe I haven't adjusted SMU up up. Maybe I haven't just Yukon doubt up even though they're the worst team in the country for me this game SMU off of a win over Houston as a two touchdown dog. They're going on the road to what's probably going to be chilly. Connecticut venue early kickoff. Eleven AM kickoff for them. Twelve o'clock eastern time in a traditional sense. I have no desire to lay eighteen points with SMU it's against what Paul ratings, and there are a lot of extracurricular things about this spot that doesn't set up. But then when you look at that set and you consider for SMU here. They're five three games left this season there at con they host visit a night game on a short week. And then play at Tulsa, they need to win. You get to a bowl game uconn won an eight lame duck head coach also you had their head coach Randy Edsall a little bit of a court battle. Because I I'm just reading this. Now, this is something I didn't know about he hired his son as an assistant coach. And apparently, the state of Connecticut has a bad on nepotism hires. So they were going through this process behind the scenes, maybe the players don't think that Corrientes should've been hired as the head coach or as the assistant coach. So you have all these problems going on. Why would a foreign five SMU team be three SC? Core favorite against Yukon. As you start putting the pieces together, that's how and your power ratings generally aren't going to account for something like that. But maybe SMU is the play here this week as crazy as that seems. So again, you have to have a different kind of mindset. Hey capping in the month of November for college football. Yeah. I there's no way I wanted that uconn in that spot, you know, like you said that actually against my our ratings. But that's that's okay. With me. You know, I would really like that. You hasn't. Mabel, stop anybody. That's been quite a bit better thought they'd be here to season. And you know, certainly the situation wearing to more than two touchdowns there with a SMU team that you think maybe they're not great..

And it sealed the victory for Kansas in this one Kansas state now goes to Fort Worth TCU a nine and a half point favorite here. At the golden nugget, Joe forty six. The total. I don't know about this TCU team. They're struggling mightily. They are. And I again, I think Gary lost his team he kicked off Turpin. Sean Robinson hasn't played in a couple of weeks candidate here. They're gonna look to run the football with Alex Bornes slowed down, the tempo, and I just can't back TCU in this K state as a dog on the road in the big twelve game. This is a team that they match up well against they came in two years ago and got this victory in Fort Worth dominates. I'm gonna lean Kansas state for me. It's all about the numbers because I thought I'd like TCU in this game. A man at nine and a half. I can't leave that here with them struggling so much on offense, given the Wildcats. All right, then we've got uconn won six one against the number one in seven straight out. Now, here's Tulsa the home team there one in seven straight up at three and five against the number. So we'll see how things pan out again, very windy there in Tulsa as well. Golden hurricane minus eighteen on their home field Joe against the huskies of Yukon, fifty eight and a half the total. Better offense in Tulsa again. Randy Edsall does not have this team in your number one in the defense much better defense in Tulsa, only giving up twenty points per game Yukon, given up close to fifty give me Tulsa way in the points at home in this fog, and can I mean know tosses lost twelve straight games against that Bs opponents. And now that not only do they have to break that losing streak seventeen or eighteen points. Gimme Connecticut Air. Yeah. It is tough till eighteen when.

"I'm not in on Yukon. I am not in on San sexy, Randy edsall's know Yukon, we even play think we've played sexier than it's a while. Maybe on Wednesday, we'll do it. Can I give you a couple right now? I mean. Yeah, it's a free show every country free show. All right. Before we get on with Jeff shorts here, hold on, here's here's our own. Yeah, we're not editing any of this stuff out now because we're enjoying ourselves with the QA and we're ready running close to our, we'll put out your Oregon chat with Jeff is like a separate thing together. Okay. So we don't have to try and bolt those two together. We'll we'll just we'll make that a whole separate thing and will close out strong here with Cuna. Yeah. Okay. Are the following people sexier than Randy Edsall. This comes to us as a game that I don't know. We started for no good reason a long time ago. Definitely. Good reason. This is all science tie. You just tell me if objectively these coaches are sexier than Randy Edsall and by all means you can have every advantage and pull a picture of Randy at. So right now yet to just get a sense for him, his topography yet if his, if you're listening at home or at the office, just pull up, go to Google image. Search up the biggest you can filter by large images, get the biggest highest resumes. You can't have Randy Edsel and if you're driving in a car, we can't. We wouldn't advise you to do this while you're driving the car. But maybe if you wanna pull over somewhere and just pull it up on your phone just so that you can play along play the home game with us here. All right. Let's start here with Charlie strong. Well, that's a good. I say, hundred percent, I think so. Charlie strong looks like you could still play. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. This one's got tough one Dabo Sweeney. No, I don't think that's. I don't think that's right. Yeah, I, I've got a. I've got a split screen thing going on right here right now. No, I it's it's no contest. It's Dabbagh or excuse me, it's it's not Devo. It's Randy Edsel okay. Paul Chryst now Paul Chryst wow, emphatic outta here ready Edsel. Scott frost. Sarandia SEL frost is it's it's Randy Etzel, Chris Peterson radio. Wow, Trinite SEL he seems like Chris Peterson seems like a pretty good shape. I'm learning all sorts of things about you. Justin Wilcox. I'm not even sure what Justin Wilcox. Like really? Yeah. Okay. Pull up a picture of Justin Wilcox. Okay. Yeah, I know he me now. I probably okay. He says, let's be honest. I, I gotta go Justin Wilcox here. Yeah, I think I agree with you. We'll must champ. Randy Etzel. I think Randy edsels the answer. Yeah. Final Gus. Malzahn Randy Edsel. Yeah, the sweater vest thing is not working out. There's a reason that we call this game sexier than Edsel. It's not easy to be sexier than Randy Etzel. This is what I'm learning now who knew tie. This is why we put high bar. Randy Edsall played a win the game here. Okay. Good to know. Well, we'll finish with something that has. I mean that didn't have anything with college football, but somebody wanted to know, here's our final question. Where did it go? This was Chiba doc, Sheva DOJ. Actually, there's a good. We'll do college and non college in this Georgia Tech decides to move from Paul Johnson move on move forward from Paul Johnson this season. Who do you think are prime candidates? Georgia Tech shop a very good job. I would say at least potentially. Yeah, I think so. Okay. So it's academe IX come into it with Georgia Tech, right being the number two in your state is it's tricky, but a state that's filled with talent and in a region that's filled with talent in an conference where you can. Win a good chunk of games. Right Zyban city, right. Man, I Wayne lane train. I don't think it's probably going to happen with lane train. That's a pretty big jump. Yeah, I is almost. It's not the option for me..

"Because I don't think anything's better than bully sees turnover thrown. So this is the new. Are they sexier? Right. Randy Edsall. That's correct. Is Florida state's turnover backpack better than Boise state's turn overthrown, yes or no? It it is not, but I'm waiting to see if the Broncos will travel with. The throne travelling thrown is mind bending league. I agree. I agree about Tyke. Can we do a bonus chart interrupts no go, the turn, the wasn't. It's not a turnover prop, but the pancake syrup. Did you see that they take the shot of it. They take a shot at huffing of line. Coach, I believe, gives an offense of Lyman after he pancake somebody on the field, a little shot of syrup like he's getting a sprint over will. Did you say syrup syrup syrup? I don't know. I vary it. Okay. I think I'm if I'm going to sit and pause my brain, it is maple syrup. Is that good? That's that's acceptable. Yeah. Okay. I don't think anything's better than the turnover thrown, although the shot of maple syrup is pretty pretty fun. I like it. All right. So we agree here that both taking Boise state outright and once again, any school can do this. This, the turnover turnover with apple turnovers. That's a free suggestion here doing get on it. Let's go to Saturday, seven pm on ESPN as we get into our nightcaps. It is Alabama at ole miss this line opened at twenty two in favor of the crimson tide. It's come down to about twenty and a half or twenty one points. Let me start here. On a very basic level. Is there any potential any whatsoever that this game could end up being a shootout, yes or no? No, no, I don't think so. I mean, think about what would have to change between last year and this year. So we have more continuity, Matt, Luke. No, this knows this is his job. Jordan MU is the actual starter shape. Patterson played in this game to amo-, excuse Tomoe, shape. Addison played in this game super poorly last year for all miss the receiving core, the same for all Mr.. Little bit running a little bit better. Running the ball, Alabama appears to be even more of a juggernaut on offense in. That's without Calvin Ridley. It's early. We haven't seen them against the best opponents, but to in there at quarterback has given them a dimension that should scare like the Browns. How about we do that talk radio thing. Almost last game sixty six to three last year. So in looking at what has changed a m- not seeing enough, do I love watching this ole miss team? Oh, I absolutely do this. Is that what was the name of of e- Honda's thousand slap, you know what I'm talking about. Have zero idea what you're talking about a Honda from street fighter two. Okay. You know the sumo wrestler wrestler, and he's got the thousand, you know, the really fast hands. Okay. So basically where my brain is at is almost is content just doing that one move and not worrying about anything else that sound gonna kill you on offense?.

"So go through and delete a lot of pictures, and she left up the one with Tiger Woods. Ooh, yeah. That's. That is weird. Thirty five years, five years. It's and like, I would understand if it was disproportionate money, but I would assume Polina Gretzky has money from volley right. Right, right. Like you know what I mean? You're like, oh, let's. But then you can do pre pre-nup it just five year engagement. Why guess? Good good that they did that didn't get met while this is this is historic. Obviously you have a relationship issue, obviously, five year engagement. Nobody's engaged for five years and has twice during Asian. Yes, that's I guess that would be a problem. Well, I mean, if you're engaged five years, that's the law physics caught a couple of times. Yeah, if you're gauge five years, you're like jobs at the same. So I will stop cheating. Like three years without cheating every single time. He fucked. Reset the clock with it back to rowing Randy Edsall uconn, coach all time, quote, another football football guy moment. So he's mad as freshmen saying they're soft. They lost like one hundred, nothing at Boise state. They lost one hundred enough to UCF. He says, all freshmen are soft. The reason they saw because when you invite a girl on a date, you know, after pick up the phone and call in the data answers and you have to be, hey, Joe blow. I'd like to invite your daughter a date. Can I talk to Julie whatever you avoid the dad now and you go straight in through social media, Instagram, DM's, Facebook, and he says, that's why ruined soft. Now, I think it's backwards because if you go through social media and get turned down, you're gonna get screen shotted you're gonna put on Twitter, Instagram, you, we're gonna laugh at you forever much tougher. They to talk to dad for ten seconds as interesting. So I think he's got it backwards. I don't think he gets screened shot the unless you're like famous or something. Oh, no. Anybody can and we'll get here. Okay. Did you hear what Tyler said? Dan? I'm just saying he's, he does the internet better than both of us combined Dan. Oh, I didn't do that. Paul and hang everybody. Everybody has access multiple people with my passwords. I don't know who's doing what it's point. Got a little bit. Ability day porno charity account. A lot of people rose us is black. Into Thursday Portnoy is and they post has hasn't really why gases around. Here's the thing I've actually had girls get contact Phakdiporn and they've done it. It's just blatant lies in it's great because the more confusion the more cloudy do get caught disarray. What's real, what's Phages running all kinds. You can lineman out. Yeah, doing all kinds of hit getting hacked a lot like you just kind of tweets for. No, like really, really not. My got hacked on Twitter and they posted. All right, yes. Raising myself a preempt that was back in the day when you had the same password for literally everything in your life? Yeah. Oh, yeah. "Tried to tell you in January, the UCF titled claim was only going to get more and more efficient. We tried to warn you. Some of you still were paired for an August when the record books showed up in his right, their national Paul champions twenty seventeen Alabama and use. He f- it's official. Was it the Cali matrix Colley matrix. One of the Jason was so grateful to point out. Let us all celebrate Alabama's twenty seventeen split national title, Alabama. When a share of title this needed a disputed title. Thanks Iraqi Lous coaching change in some horrific overtime, play Alabama claims. A piece of the two thousand seventeen title. It would have been funnier if it would have been funnier than happened to George to. In my lifetime, Georgia has point five national titles. I mean to it didn't come into the second half, right. That's half xylophone. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah, let's that's got wallowing in that level of indecision. No, so UCF. Congratulations. We're going to treat you like a champion now and that means the minute. You lose your third game or whatever. Oh, the media hate, oh, the dynasty is over what happened? What happened to this once proud champion that we will now shit all over and talk about how they were always ally who benefited from blabbity, blah, blah, blah. So the minute you lose to uconn and on opening night. Yellow, no, something fucked up, but you can't. It's really fucked about Randy Edsall. Okay. So Randy Edsall is sixty. And as I was talk it mentioning to y'all before we started recording, he played, he played college football at Syracuse, start what happened. Hey, we're, we need. Hold on. Fucking down..

"I'll stay down a point and a half because once again, by number was a little bit light for this game against Colorado, the neutral site game in Denver here this week. So you know, I was going to have to adjust them anyway. Maybe I should have gone a little bit more especially because you know, really Carlos state came back into this game when Hawaii stopped playing who I got that big lead kinda sat on its laurels a little bit. Then Colorado state scored these garbage time point. It's made it a lot closer than the game actually really was. So for car, I'll state again a team that I will watch as we go from week one into week two. So let's go ahead and talk week one here. Kyle, these numbers have been sitting out there for a while. We've seen some waves of movement over the course of the summer. We'll certainly see more movement here today and tomorrow as some of the syndicate's start to get involved Thursday and Friday as limits get raised. And of course, Saturday when limits are going to be their highest. So what we'll do college football season here generally with this college football, I look, we'll talk about some opening lines and some movements from those. Obviously, we don't have a ton of those talk about here this week with these numbers up since late may or a lot of times with Kyle. We'll look at the weeknight games to make sure we give you a lot of lead time for those. Now we'll return our pick six segment here. Why distraught six games at the end of the segment in rapid fire fashion, bullet point analysis of picker a lean. Sometimes they're not all that strong. Sometimes they're a little bit stronger, but that's what we'll do here on the college football. I look as we go throughout the course. Of the season. So again, four listeners out there. We're going to go by rotation number when we break these games down. So make sure that your odds screen is sorted by rotation number. We'll start here Kyle with game one thirty three one, thirty, four central Florida, and Yukon the nights eight twenty three point favorite here. Again it seems like this is maybe more of a trend this year to open with a conference game. I feel like we're seeing a lot more of those this year than we've seen in the past. Yeah, definitely. I mean this this is a game where you con going to be really bad this year. You can't the fence terrible. Their offense was very good either. Right now I'm looking at the odds screen sixty percent of the bets are on UCS eighty seven percent of the money on UCS. I usually won't be able to say that too much because we won't have enough of the the numbers out there to see what the market is doing. Obviously, these it available for a long time, fifty, seven percent of the bets on the over fifty, six percent of the money only over the overs going up from sixty nine and a half up seventy three. I agree with that new. I think that the the totals move makes a lot of things. As far as the side, you know, like I told you in the preseason. I I don't. I'm not terribly high on UCS here. I, I have minus twenty two having said that. I'm not taking you calling here. I don't trust you. Call them at all. Not a fan of Randy Edsall, especially now, I feel like you. Went back to uconn after he failed somewhere else. And I don't like the situation very much. I feel like you know, it's a setup to to not be very good future for them. You know, UCF to me the question Mark for them is their defensive line. You know, they're going to be way down defensive line, stopping the run. I don't think Yukon can take advantage of that at least not enough UCS going to throw the ball lot this year uconn, secondary mess. I think UCF will put up a ton of points here. I can't say that I have a strong feeling for this game either way. If I had to take something, I'd probably still take the over. Uconn has talked about wanting to play pretty quickly. UCF is definitely going to play fast. I know UCF played really fast last year. I think they'll play faster hypol- very, very fast in Missouri. I think it'd be, you know, hard to overstate how bad things are defensively, Yukon..
