"In college. Parabas in p. and k. In molybdenum manzini can bar on all minutes all cool stuff but you know we humans and deer most plants. The biggest element in our bodies is carbon. Carbon is delimited resource. And there's a lot on the news about carbon now. But i'm just talking practical boots on dirt. Carbons what we want. You probably knows you know really good soil we talked about. I was some places like that. The delta it's black carbon black poor soil. You how your farmer say. Well my soils alight. And i always go home light soils light. Colored is all the carbon taken out of it And here's here's this may be a little heavy. You can slap me around little bit here. But there's an economy in the soil. The economy is if you have a healthy macro population. Today they need carbon plants are photo. Synthesizing see six whole bunch carbon. I part of photosynthesis equation. Okay microbes actually go around plant root or in the plant and trade phosphorus potassium boron libyan and want the plant needs for that carbon. Come out extra dates. That's a beautiful beautiful economy. It's a win win. Economy and one disc inputting oxygen and soil kills that economy and therefore we must use synthetic fertilizer. Now right crops wicked cycle there and we can grow crops. You know we didn't know what nitrogen was or we could produce it anyway until world war two and that was part of building bombs into german scientists have figured out how make nitrogen escaped from germany and brought it here and wars over and we felt. We didn't need these bombs while we do so. Well maybe news fertilizer. I don't know and that's how nitrogen. Fertilizers thing literally got style. That's interesting but we think about this over every acre on the planet. that's a big statement there There's about thirty tonnes or more of nitrogen in the air. Why would anyone ever pay for nitrogen or we look at buffalo. We think there's about sixty million buffalo on the prairie. There's about sixty million cattle now and no one was putting out synthetic fertilizer to feed all these bison what you'll learn when you dive in deeper to this philosophy that chemical fertilizers though they've been instrumental in modern agriculture and feeding the planet there also a massive source of soil degradation and the fuel a wildly unsustainable cycle. Dr woods along with many others. Say there's a better way in a world that talks a lot about excess. Carbon in the air intact soils have the ability to sequester or store. Incredible amounts of carbon. As you've heard dr would says he's built up to six inches of rich soil in his food. Plots in the twenty years these managed the proving grounds this massive. Want to learn more about this process. So talk to me about the accelerated soil building. So you know when. I was in school and always while i need to good soul. Classes always want to my mind talk about thousand years to make an interest soil. Just seem i can't even really envision thousand years i mean. We thought these big numbers but a decades a big change for most humans right and i think a thousand years is true. If you're talking about the grand canyon weathering and making dirt and the crevice. It's slow slow process really hof. That's probably why humans have such a hard time connecting with soil is it typically is a slow process. And it's something that you you you inherit a baseline of understanding of what a place looks like and the human life is so short compared to the life cycles of planet earth ecosystems. Yeah and we got misled boy. That place has good dirt at will never have good dirt. There was never a process talked about in so gaylon back to my friend. Gaylon was a very is a very wise man and gaylon started teaching me these principles and i've just simplified over time and i've learned from other. I did not come up on this my own. maybe i made smaller formations to tweak it over time. But there's basically a couple of principles that work anywhere equator to anywhere plants grow. You need to soil covered every day out here. Well i'd say covered. Maybe it's a winner. But there's a thatch or mulch on tom of soda. Soils always covered. We call it. That arm. So was covered. You need a living plant as many days out here. Some plants grow better in the spring. It's all due today. Lie temperature some in the summer. Some in the fall so just having soloist covered minimal disturbance to soil. That's not only physical talking about diskin plowing but chemical synthetic fertilizer. Is we all think chemicals. I think is herbison. Herbicide but man synthetic nitrogen fosters potassium. Those babies. are you know. i think. I'd probably rather i don't know if i'd say some air. Not but i probably drink a teaspoon of life is state then i would suck a teaspoon of synthetic nitrogen down because the results of that second one is going to be really bad. I promise and yeah you're not gonna honey for and this one is just an observation. Just i mean. I used to be a work as naturalist out in yellowstone little bit and few places like that and i was young around america in men is big diversity of plants. I talked about us identified. Over one hundred seventy species of plants here that's native habitat and as part of my release process native habitat but how about in our food plots ralph thinking up perfect row of corn perfect patches soybeans. Perfect cloverfield monaco. Well if we go back real reasonably monoculture so a combine would word or the planter would only plant one size seat at a time or guy we know we can use this herbicide on top this kill everything else. And i've learned to otherwise people. I want as much life outdoors can get man. I want bugs and earthworms and microbes. If i gotta ragweed and a food plot idea can eat that too but man i want diversity so blends will typically always want to at minimum one lagoon thank beans peas and summer. Winter peas alfalfa. Something like that and cooler season. I wanna broadly plant. That could be a legume coppee. Or being but sunflowers great broad leaf and i wanna brassica it. Can maybe collards in the warm season or summer turnips rashes and winter. I want those four. i want. I wanna grass and again in summer could be corner. Milo does rog in the grass families. Other grasses fall we rye oats or common when hunters use people use in when she find out when you get at least members of those four types of plants you stimulate more microbes so again you know textbooks used to say maybe still say takes a thousand years building interests so which i think is true. Unroll rock. But i think i've witnessed here. I think it's very possible very realistic. If plant in a blend species. Not a monoculture. Good blinn and you have a decent growing season. I think you can realistically build a quarter inch of soil year S cooking with gas in on this place. You've seen how much so so he started with. Rob rock ron tops of these knowles. And you have sensuous six inches deep of good. Yeah but that's not a linear. Because i keep learning at first. I was planting monocultures. And i think our rate increases even faster. Now tell me. In short the cycle of growing and then cramping and then planning into our systems really easy and simplified would take way less hours we used to we about ninety five acres of food club so in the spring i'm gonna always have cereal rye and griffin blanche's some really good annual clover in this gonna be way too late. Another people are playing football. I'm gonna play a little later. Because i want those plans to maximize your value right..

"In that sort of lucky position in the he. He hates boys. Johnson and johnson hates him so he can do what he liked it actually. It's a bit like what happens. Actually when bose johnson government when jacob lease moguls the darling for particular wing that goes to the government. I'm thinking also for frank field who everybody loved as a backbencher. That's a good point. You've got great ideas about welfare reform and so on and then the actually Became a junior minister. I think in the under the first black government to think the unthinkable to think down thinkable. He did he did. He lasted about six months. He turned out. I mean that's not. Certainly criticism of frank might be that is going to have role in life as it was frank fields. It was time details. All you still need those disruptive voices and people that are saying something different to highlight was going on. I mean johnny mercer on the backbenches was was great on on veteran's rights and so on can veterans minister as a result. He then tried to do lots of things behind the scenes but publicly said lots of stuff that was quite unpalatable example on nuclear tests veteran campaign. I work for the mirror heat. He met them but said that you're not gonna get your justice. You're not gonna get your recognition. You're not gonna get your metals or your war pensions. And then once he's been sacked from that job he turns around and starts backing the nucleus veterans again. It makes you wonder about principles. It turned out to sell them to get into joining. I was more interested in veterans issues and veteran justice for veterans and he was in the government and the conservative party so we are supposed to question the flip side of that is what is the point of just being a fogle all about but there is tension there. Isn't it about when you go into and what you did. Johnny mercer achieved more on the back benches or dining in quite often people you know. Let's be honest. Basically what we do for a living. This of the backseat joy. I wanted to do that when you find yourself. Government of all competing to bounce the policy in search of money in terms of the law international relations north and hackett was douglas. Hurd on my been It might have been one of those other current tory patricians. He said to max hastings max on the side however powerfully max on the sidelines whereas they recchi on the pitch and that was the that was the ball so the difficulty of it. So i'm we are on the sidelines and it's you know that's where we wanna be. That's kind of but that doesn't excuse the fact that dominant robin. The foreign office's performance has been atrocious. Yeah i suppose it's whether you whether you think that the resignation would All or force resignation would would achieve anything other than the satisfaction of seeing dominant role leaves job. Which would be considerable Yeah so i mean. We've had a lot of messages. This rosy says why is everyone else can work from home in the world but you think dominic robb ralph's thinks he can't because he actually did come home. That is a good point. I'd also make a lot of people. They knew they had a big thing. Coming up at work really wouldn't go on holiday immediately before but then someone else. Philip says issue is totally has along. He's spunky aggressive. Boskin overly sensitive all the opposite of what an obeying warm smooth diplomatic phone sexy should be about. he's on a charm offensive without the chump us. It's just about what is did this a couple of weeks ago with this immersive play school crisis. What crisis is all about the callaghan government on the and have we went down. And you'll part of the governor advising the government and you wanna go she unions and whipping. Mp's very stressful. Yes we live with the media management and coming up with so good so difficult then we we let on. Yeah i mean it's i was remember peaches geldof. I think it was alright. Pay when seventeen. Who said she was supporting tony. Blair in two thousand five because it was really difficult to run a government which i thought was supremely wise for seventeen year old. We've come a lot of peaches geldof just sort of booed we sort of the old cast of our looking for for leaders reading justin column in the times they are don finkelstein start about how the sense of luxy unifying leader cost of all as ever with donna. He's got anecdote kicks off with about a meter and there was one thousand nine hundred. Three where margaret thatcher in way. Good and helmet call all got together. It's a form. The international democrat union and there was a sort of sense of whites. Parties around the world sort of aligning together and he makes the point particularly now with Angela merkel's stepping down Both johnson's relations with most of you'll upon great. There's no you the publicans of gone wild in america. This is a problem that we have a sort of leading sensible voice of the sense of like susie. Well when was the last time apart from them when you just said it you heard of international democratic union patch may have launched it in one thousand nine hundred three. No one heard of it so there. Is this kind of idea that you had a sense. Got a very centrist period. And you had sent to write for well then you know. We're coming out of the third way. That clinton and blair and to some extent obama of not being to left or two right and that in itself came out of a period in seven in the eighties seventies sixties where they were very divided and there was there was very radical left governments and revolutions and communism. And still on the nazism around it just out in influx. We have periods of centuries politics and periods of extreme politics. We're fairly extreme at the moment. That always happens in times of great change. We've got climate change constitutional change. We've got demographic change going on. We got pandemic now. That always causes massive social flux. He's going to take twenty years to settle down and danny needs to just to calm and wait for it..

Steve thomas early wind described the track as a surging hard rock while james parker of the atlantic calls it livid dragon bones funk okay song accords In london and seventy one for the album nielsen schmil says we said as with much of the material on the album. What do you say to a man who writes the puppy song and then writes. Jump into the fire i really needed to. He felt like he needed to make a big change. And that's exactly what he was hoping would happen. The sessions produced by richard perry whom nelson knowledge is having been instrumentalists progression musicians on the basic track. I did read about and he ran away and hung out with harry. Nilsson and the vocal on the song is giradi. John lennon inspired. And if you listen to how the vocals are produced. It's got that slap back echo. John lennon love is like drowns every record in that. Those lennon's like signature sound so the And i had There's a classic albums or behind the music or something about this. "Yeah, but it's when Canada and bring the top home. It comes home every down the year for crying out loud. Uh, Andromeda nice. And if Good to see you got. I'm assuming yet Tampa in this one I got Tampa and this one. I've been wrong on Montreal every step of the way And in this radio, this radio show I'm doing now. Okay, we It's called the Green Zone and the other guys vehicles Jamie and I am actually his coast. Anyway, We have this green zone guarantee that if we quit the team, we both agree they're going to win. They absolutely Yeah. So So my green Zone guarantee is Camelback sweet. You need to get Berkel in your show. You guys can all live together exactly. Well, before I let you go, I have to get a I forgot about this last time. I got to get a rowdy Roddy Piper story because I couldn't believe it when I was watching the rowdy Roddy documentary which defense passing the and, you know they were so good, limping. They're so good love them, And I didn't know because I just learned Patrick Marleau is from where you were Gordie Howe. Now I know Brandon points there, too. And I was like, Well, hell with all those rowdy, rowdy Roddy Piper's from there as well. How big a deal is he there? I know he passed away a couple years ago. But how? How big a deal is he was he And are there any rowdy stories from up there? Well, the the big story I have about radio radio paper is when I had the radio show way back when it's called the truth and a sports show and we got rowdy Roddy Piper to come on, and we knew he was. He was actually from the area that I grew up finished, which is like the university New Tana area, which people in the area and what the hell are you talking about? Amanda. It's just ran through happy, which, uh, it's Um, he grew up in that area as well. He later on moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, which which is not an upgrade, by the way, and then went on to have his life. But we got rowdy Roddy Piper. I We had him on Tommy for an hour. Did you really commercial? Yeah, we don't want He went from commercial break to commercial break and he was lovely, Lovely dance. But now we're on my show went to eight o'clock at night. It was not actually in the high primetime rating dried area, but anyway, not like you were. I had to go to reading. Stop. It's now we got to. We got to end at eight. Okay? It is now about, um 8 15. And we're still talking. Okay? And he's going on. He's telling a story after story telling people growing up in Victoria Avenue and going for ice cream with the ice cream place is still there. And he's telling story after story and all the stories that you heard on that biography, Roddy Roddy is telling us he, like, leave nothing out. Nothing out. Finally I said, Mr Piper. I gotta go, man. I got like, I'm way past the clock and he goes. Why didn't you say something? Young man? What are you doing? Run that thing carefully. Okay, well from the lines, will you please come back on? Any time I got nothing but stories. He was the nicest guy And of course, you know, he says anything from the former for a guy from Saskatoon. She was so great, so fantastic and he was just so nice to everybody came on the phone, and then he called back to apologize to our producers say, I'm sorry. I've talked so much. He knows it was so much fun doing but you ever want me on I'll come back on again. Just Terrific, nice guy, and it was so much fun to talk to, But he was He was the best when he when he came on that show one of my highlights. That's awesome. You know what I've realized? And we used interview more wrestlers back in the day. Uh, most wrestlers are really cool guys like they're really cool. Guy is the only guy that wasn't He wasn't an ask per se, but I just We couldn't get him out of character with Ric flair, Ric flair the whole time or interviewing him. He's talking. Then there's Who I'm like. Dude, did you stunning? Come on, We had, uh, macho man on and it wasn't like macho man. Did the whole Yeah. We're the whole time. He did it at the end, of course. We have that promo with me, him and Ralph, which is it's awesome, but it wasn't like these guys aren't their characters. Except for Rick Flare. It's like in most of them are it is really as stone cold Steve Austin we head on. One time although Ralph didn't believe him when he told him Ralph Ralph thought it was a fake beer bottle that they cracked over someone's head. And you know that was making goes. It was a real beer bottle. He goes, who might have made sure it would crack. You know what? The right thing, But yeah, you know, we we know what we're doing. He goes, I don't know. And I think some good goals will give me a beer body. I'll show you how to do it. Dick rocked the client. Who spent a lot of time in San Francisco. Um Bret Hart, but hit my heart and he came into a batch of standards. The Shark Games. That's the next one. I'm gonna watch. Huge wrestling can so tell how Ryan got connected with him? Because Brett would come. I think this is his girlfriend. Now I think his wife is from San Francisco. We went, We went to wrestling you and I at the happy Yeah, And we tried to get like Madonna and the door. And what's the same drugs? Yeah. Uh oh, man, you know who should have been a W W wrestler was linked Gates. He should have gotten the rest. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. He would have been fantastic drink. The mission drew it all it rates itself. It's just exactly. Yeah. Hey, man, you know, I always love having John. It's always fun being on the job stories talking little hockey. Uh, how's the How's the show doing? It's okay. You know what? I think The ratings have gone down since I joined, But you know what We say He's not working for a living. He That's a given. You know what? And it gets you out of the house a little bit, gets another house, and, um, I really got to buck up on my CFL knowledge because the writers are CFL's coming back. "In March that he thought lifting mask mandates before every adult American goes and gets a shot? Is Neanderthal thinking Well, first, let me say that the president Our North Star has been listening to the guidance of our health and medical experts and teams, and that's exactly what we're doing in this case and just to reiterate The CDC, the doctors and medical experts. There were the ones who determined what this guidance would be based on their own data. And what the timeline would be. That was not a decision directed by made by the White House. It was informed the White House was informed of that decision just to give people assurance of that. Yeah, okay. I believe that right? It was Nanda Ralph thinking. It was impending doom. And all of a sudden now things have begun to change. Interesting, isn't it? All right, let's hit the phones. We start with Irene on our beauties. Good morning, Irene. Morning, Sean. How are you? I'm doing fine. Thank you. I went shopping Saturday. I wanted to check out the mist thing. And target. You do have to where you may ask. Okay? Why you do not. And I I'm a big shopper. One is joint gonna, you know, get rid of the Smith. She settled, you know, you know you can do it if you want to, you know onto you don't have to And here I said, Well, you know, I've had my shots and all, she said, we're not allowed to ask you that. So I mean, you know Well, how How are they going to know again? If they just every stops wearing masks? How are they gonna have this vaccine You knew isn't exactly yeah, the people wearing masks will be, I guess Presumed to be unvaccinated. Well, of course, I think so. "Smokers getting together? I didn't think about Don Nelson being Don Nelson setting up for the dummy booth? No, I don't always looking always looking for the angle competitive advantage, of course, the same way he was looking for that angle. Like after the after the boyars, Uh, beat the Mavericks and lots of jazz. Like, you know, I think I'm I retire. I'm getting a little old. Maybe I just Maybe I just give it up and they came down with a contract extension. More minds like you know what? I feel better. You know what? I wouldn't mind coaching a couple of years. Let me double down on Crisco. Hands money here. God, you yesterday We were talking about Nelly. That you You wouldn't call him a genius. I would dare say that he is exhibited genius like, uh, decision making from time to time And this last story. It just just reinforces my belief that Don Nelson if he's not an outright genius. He doesn't just like tendencies. He's got some visionary. He's gots visionary elements to him, though for sure he could kind of living. He knew he had suckers. Female head sisters very could plan because guess what stacked acted the same exact thing. You got rather round decided to an extension, it said and then said, trade me. Yeah, he did e wanna be here. Oh, he wants beer. Sign. What sign? Understand? Now, we were fan. That ain't that cool. But if you're Steven Jackson, you like watch this Which is I'm gonna get him. They got him. And then he said, others team socks only get trade give you get me out. You know the funniest thing is that Robert? Ralph Thought for a few, probably a few months that he and stacked Jack, We're like down, you know, I'm sure he did. This is stacked jacked, right? They're like, Oh, yeah. I gotta draw this guy in Sam got you? I'm gonna get in with Stack, Jack. And then I'm gonna. Yeah, right. You just used you, but Robert Robert Jackson goes, this number's been disconnected. Stop there. Static. Check my man like, bro. I don't know. You don't know who's just the white guy here? I don't know. I don't know what you wanna do this right now. "Twenty six points with three hundred dollars so efficient. No dallas really efficient. Do you want to that scotty. Miller ball yeah. That was probably the best score of the game. It was nice. It was a beautiful pass by brady beautiful. Catch by scotty miller and he was getting face masks pulled. Yeah towards the cat. You know and i felt bad for that guy. The defender was a really good catch. Perfect pass like. I don't know how you defend that like it's it's kinda like as passes with tyreek hill in the game here just like there's nothing you can do at that point just nothing. I'm so glad. I'm not a woman just for that thing. You're like coffee. So bad for that guy. No he's our enemy want to crush them into powder feel sad. That's how you are with. The kickers. missed a lot of hockey. Watch this or they're getting ready to go out there. You're like oh my gosh. She must be so nervous man. Do just don't think that way like here's my chance to glory cry his bones into dust. Gosh well let's talk about the and bailey hasn't been fired yet. I dunno kickers. They're worse than all time. Well you know. I'll say this minnesota. The i can't remember who the kicker was i should though the should be blazoned my brain but he didn't miss a kick all season long and then i wanna say it was an nfc championship. He missed a game. Winning kick now yes cost them. I mean they were like a shoe into the super bowl and he missed a who was that. Oh but yeah so. They've got a history with kickers dob. Surprised bailey's are you looking at right. Now i'm scared. Do all right. let me look it up. I'm gonna lead on employment loan. I don't know there are still listening to see if there's any news no news. So he's still got a job really ralph. You'd be very careful where you point you can't see some sears darcy's here leaners nj still she when did she leave two thousand seventeen said they track at the buccaneers cheerleader roster. Now what i would do so we get all the way through the fact checks powell. Okay so we're onto the game for twenty minutes. Well my notes i know. Here's my notes from the game okay. So he's started these during the game yesterday. The beer got to him and then we re watched it again. Here's it's one line and that's when he wrote down yesterday yeah day she was like you're not writing any notes. I was like ooh a lot of stuff going on. But i don't really feel like i. Here's a in mali's right. I got a little tipsy yesterday while we didn't do our instant reaction blame it on me although molly gotta do ya and Anyhow i was fine with doing at molly's said she didn't want to do it. That's a lie. Here are my notes. First quarter troy aikman quote. Tom brady has been hit a lot in kwa buck quote areas and brady of had to be guarded talking about the offense. They went off quite awhile about this. Troy aikman is the biggest mouth breather. I think you know. I mean like chris collins worth thumbs but like troy. Aikman is so stupid. Ralph and i were talking about it yesterday. I think who. I'd prefer terry bradshaw. Because he is super entertaining. He doesn't take this seriously at all and he's drunk most of the time. When makes it more. I think that's why he doesn't broadcast like i think we watched a few years ago. He was on a broadcast my halftime they pull them. He was just the hammer hammer. Hammer john mad. I used to love his broadcast. He was just funny. He would just say some of them multiple crap score more points than merely tear fringes. No doing that has the alphabet. Which wakeman saturday. So you know. Brady's been hit a lot this year and somebody pointed out on twitter. Technically he has been like. I guess the numbers are there. But it's the implication that the offense of wine is bad implying so it's factual benign truthful does not tell you that the offense of line is ranked top three depending on what metric. You're looking up so for him to even say that in a broadcast dishonest. Isn't tom brady gets hit a lot because he he doesn't really try to avoid will stand there and throw the ball down the field. They hate those of amazing passes in what they just about every game but the chiefs game i mean he had two guys hitting hill and he's throwing a forty yard bob down the field is landed perfectly in the his. But you know. They blitzed lot at vikings. Did or not. But it's it's. It's not ralph thought. Maybe but it's it's not because our line socks like you said it. But that was the implication. And i'm like you know i watched as new england dave tape and he got hit new w- england just like he gets hit here. It's just. I don't know. I guess i could talk anything bad about new england. I don't know any you know what's funny is that. How many facts did we give up zip. And how many what he was hit along. I know how many did the vikings give up sex at least like look. Okay the vikings guy. I'm looking at their defensive. Stats three quarterback heads. Are you kidding me right now. It gets hit a lot molly that that that doesn't show you the true picture. It's what troy aikman said is what matters it's funny because robots fan tweeted in the middle of the broadcast and they go. He thought troy aikman did some research. Before what you tweeted now. Oh my god know what i'm saying. I went on a rant about the tony. Romo and mean he saying stuff that is contrary to exactly what you're looking at on the field he say and all this stuff and there was something else too. I can't remember what it was. And i didn't say it in the last podcast and all i gotta remember to save this something. He had said that was totally wrong..

"State to go onto the NCAA tournament just a couple of years ago Once that game ended you know Tracy had the ball in his hands through it up and up into the air toward the rafters you know and right state had one turned over and I looked at him and he was tearing up you know and I I had to ask him at the time and we were on the air. I said you know you know. What would Ralph think right now? You know what? We're all the former players. Think right now because of the accomplishment of this team this year and I'll tell you he he was very emotional you know and and I think that was great. You know because of all the hard work you know that he put in along with all of these other people in it'd be a part of that you know in the current staff and how they reach out to him you know and they appreciate what he has done and you know how much it's meant to them over the years you know that to me is what team sports and what sports is all about. You know how much you know. People respect All of those who worked so hard to get them to be where they are. Let's talk about this. Twenty nineteen twenty twenty season the rights they just had Horizon League regular season Champs. Yes a tough loss in the semifinals but great year. Great Year for right. Yeah I think so. And Coach said many times throughout the season. He says you know You know your pick to win you know. Is it tough? You know to be able to to to be the ones who are able to get through the tournament and what it all. Because that's where you WANNA be. You know you WanNa have that opportunity with a target on your back because that means you know you're good you know and unfortunately it didn't work out the way they want it to you. Know at the end of the season There were a lot of expectations with this team. But you know as I said you know. He said he wants the program to be in that position. You know and unfortunately they didn't get there and you feel bad for the saints because they are the ones who really wanted to get to that. Ncwa tournament you know one. More time you know but as it ended up Nobody got an opportunity for that because of the corona virus outbreak in the state home. And all of these things associated with that. We did have a tournament this year. You know but for the seasons concerned it was quite the roller coaster. Ride at times team won a lot of cloth a lot. Lot of close games Came up short in a few games and of course That last game against you. I see definitely. I don't think you know was true story. You know of this team throughout the season and what they were able to accomplish. But you know as you look ahead and hopefully you know We can get back to some sort of normalcy the way life was you know before this. Ah Corona virus and look forward to next season. Because the raiders are we'll be back and they'll have the Horizon League player of the year who with richly deserve loud in love and a pretty good supporting cast around him and looking forward to seeing you come his way in. You sat out. This year is a transfer from Grand Grand Canyon and you know all the other returning players that we have with. Tanner Holden He'll be a lot better. And you know all the guys you know looking forward to seeing you know what what they can accomplish next year. Because I'll be honest with you late I think you I see is made themselves a lot better now with their coaching change. I think from what I've read about. The new coach is already bringing in some good players. So you know which I think is good. I think this league needs to get better. You know gets needs to get better all around because I think it'll be helpful. Hopefully someday that can be a more than a one bit conference. I mean it's interesting you mention you. I see because I thought Steve Maclean did a nice job but I mean hey I not the one to hire coaches right. Thanks so it's just looking from the outside. But with these new hires and actually won the assistant coaches from. Uic follows me on twitter like That's interesting but I think you icees always been kind of like. They can be really really good but they just never been able to get over the hump. No not you know in the shadows of You know a big city you know and fact that There Rizal League at the time when you know Butler loyal and Even Valparaiso to some point have been in the League you know. I think there was opportunities to habit to Bid League at times. Especially when the Butler bulldogs were here so now the the League at least you look at the numbers and they don't why it's not where it used to be. I can remember when assembled Butler was in the League they were ninth and tenth rated. Rpi You know in the country you know but now they know. Drop down to what thirteen sixteen conference in the country and that makes it really difficult. A lot of that has to do scheduling. And you know we won't really get into that you know that's well beyond my pay grade you know and it's difficult to schedule. And that's the tough one of the toughest things for coaches to do but Yeah you know I think that Uic will improve themselves. You know you look at Oakland. You asked me earlier about What has changed a lot since you started doing games. Well how about the transfer portal you know and how in how players are now opportunity if they want to leave because they look for a better opportunity which you know is their prerogative and they can do that but it sure makes it tougher coach to be able to build a program. It's hard to when all your pieces just moving around and trying to the right fit. I mean that's something that now just really occurred to me the transfer portals outrageously you know shuffled like it's almost as busy as a coaching carousel. In some you know it has. It really has like you said it's hard to keep all the pieces in place and a great campus. Had a tough time with that. You know in Oakland. You know you do what you can do. You recruit these. Here's the thing you know. Coach Brown on. I talked about this. He makes such a great point about you. Spend so much time. You know Recruiting a kid. You know getting them to come in come to visit. Come INTO THE PROGRAM. You know develop become a better player you know then. All of a sudden year to goes by and for some reason be Homesick. Or maybe they think they have better opportunity at another school. They just decided to you know. Put themselves on that. Transfer Portal a list and head out the door. You know for what reason you don't know You know no idea and I think originally I think a lot of people say well you know? They didn't like the coach now. That's not the case at all. I think there are a lot of situations where guys just you know are looking for another opportunity and LE- let's face it you know if you're just a college student going to school and study whatever you WanNa do in your life's work Let's say you're going to one school and you say we'll wait a minute that that school maybe offer me a better program. It might help me in the long run. They can do it you know. They don't have to sit out a year. They can just go ahead. And transfer over you know so you look at it in that realm. Well they've got every right to be able to do that. So that's just another stressor for coaches these days to be able to keep guys who want to be here and you know. I think that's one thing that's coach. Nagy you know he he. You can see how loyal at least this point how these guys are to him because he straight up. I mean you hear that we're transparent. I mean he'll tell you exactly what he expects from you and he he will back that up. You know so you know where you stand you know and our player in that situation. I would like somebody like that. I like the boss like that. Who's GonNa tell me and tell me the truth? You know and tell me what my expectations are in. I'm going to be held accountable because it's GonNa make you a better player next to make you a better person. So you know coach Nagy. I think I'm sure it's it's tough on him. You know somebody wants to go somewhere else because you spent so much time doing it but like you says you know you WanNa be here or you don't want to be here you know and you can see right now with this group at this point you know. I have not heard of anybody wanting to move on at this point but you know you never know until last couple years couple of guys decided to go on. But you know what there's other guys who are willing to come in and get that opportunity So I think that's another reason why I think right states in good hands right now because you know they have a leader who has Assistant coaches with him. Continuity here That I think players respect that and they wanna be with them. If you look at Scott Nagy's last stop was it. South Dakota South Dakota State South Dakota state rabbits. There's too many South Dakota's the action now. But he was there for twenty one years. Yell that's right definitely loyalty aspect there absolutely. You're right That's unusual you. Just don't see a lot of that and a lot of For a lot of the baby folks who have been around a wildly there was a manager for the Los Angeles dodgers who signed one year contracts for you know twenty plus years or whatever it will allston you know who s from Dr Town Ohio which is over there by university. You know one year at a time you know. When he was loyal to the dodger program before Tommy lasorda came in. You know so there are guys That are still like that. You know some people are comfortable but you know in today's game like you say there's so many You know it's it's difficult to find someone like that now because you gotta be up to make the money when you can because the expectations from alumni and all the fans you know that's just one stressor not in addition to try and to have eighteen to twenty two year old control your life's work that makes it very difficult so there's a lot of time between now and the start of basketball season if the virus wiped that out. That's not Oh but twenty twenty. Twenty twenty one. What are your expectations for this right state squad and the Horizon Li? I think they're right up there. I mean I think I wouldn't be surprised to see if they're gonNA pick again because you know they have such a force and allowed in love. I mean everything goes through him and he'll be a fifth year senior You hear coaches talk a lot about you know guys your five years. I mean that's great know To have somebody who's with all that experience and all that talent and then The guys that go around him. You know expect Tanner Holden. You know to be a lot. Better fact expect everybody. Who's coming back to be better because You look at the history of coach. Nagy and his staff you know. That's just the way things have gone. You know they developed. Is they better than this is there? That's why they bring them in. But like I said you know I hope to see you know competition. I think youngstown state will be you know even better last year. They showed some consistency this year. You know within the League and outside the League and they're non conference schedule so I would you know there's a new team coming in and Ip Fort Wayne They had a little success. You know in the Summit League Uic Green Bay is always going to be competitive along. Milwaukee I think is hopefully going to get a little bit better so I just hope all the schools get better too because that's going to do nothing but make right state look even better so I expect to be there right at the top with an opportunity to win and Fort Wayne. Once upon a time they had the youngest head coach and Dane Fife Five. Yeah Yeah Yeah. The mastodons time. If I remember correctly now writes played them a few times and I think maybe I have to go back and look Maybe at home but the one game that stands out to me was the final year. That schilling was the head coach. I write state. Played them in a non league game during The Horizon League schedule they went to To Butler and lost run a Thursday night and then traveled over to uh Fort Wayne to play a Sunday Saturday game at noon so there wasn't a whole lot of time. The team Stayed Indianapolis that Thursday night. After the game they lost a Butler and Drove up on Friday. You know and you know spent the day there and then had to get up early on Saturday and play and they got beat. I mean Fort Wayne came out. And just you know laid. The lady to and that was very crushing. Defeat for Wright state alumni up there that game was also on on on the cable TV back into Dayton and they just got blown off the floor and They came back home One couple home games that Played the first round of the tournament after -Troit's got beat and then a few days later. That's when Ed Schilling was asked to leave and then they hire. Paul Being Cardi a few months later at least the indeed at Fort Wayne trip wasn't terribly long. I will say though the one thing I really like about produce Fort Wayne coming into the Horizon League. Yup granted it might not be the biggest It's not RPI anymore. It's net but that that's still wear change but they have baseball and Horizon League will once again have seven teams. That feel the sport unless there's a team that drops between now and then but seven teams in baseball. That's you know. Yeah you're right because if you have less than six as You well know Lee..

"Are we here in studio in Fremont and why see with my friend Shawn Parr now bestselling author his latest is all out war. what's the best when we start with is actually what's the best war movie or TV show you've seen in the last two years two or three years let's say anything anything good I feel like they know me I feel like there hasn't been anything a little while but certainly nothing on the scale of like saving private Ryan Black Hawk down yeah I actually master and commander is one of the true military masterpieces of cinema of all time which is not as popular movies some of the movies but incredible for what it is what do you think okay so I would say Jack Ryan is by far the coolest spot sorry the preppy analysts to live in Georgetown road crew in college has a swoop as of yet there and did you see it just the of course I saw you didn't like it it was my life story home wall of course to me. it was right exactly because I was a little too handsome he's a little too heavy Jack are awesome six pack and you know all right all right I get to the gym more subtle than that I thought that is in terms of a story in a show that was one of the most brilliant plots and fast moving most technically technically accurate in terms of combat shows I've seen in a long time on Amazon and I just saw the preview for the next season of Jack Ryan and man it looks great focuses on socialist country Venezuela and the Russians fending us. giving arms to Venezuelans and creating armed insurrections in Central America it looks hot man. now because you're the author of all out war as you've obviously had to do a lot other than actual war fighting yourself the study a lot from the genre seeing a lot of you and I grew up watching action factual over that you know I grew up watching action movies we dare you what is the action not not war movie and you're the greatest action movie of all time is what the greatest action movie of all time move okay so you're really really put me on the spot but your argument is your problem. I will give you an answer but I'm afraid to give it to you because I don't want you to make fun of me when I give it to you but so I would say what I think one in one or the other you can give me top two of you okay okay so just classic predator I just think that that's one of my answer so obvious it's amazing right it's it's the it's such a great movie with a simple plot I love I just love that movie everything about the movie but I also love the movie true lies wow I think it's so everybody he's thrown out of sleep. Tom Arnold today is just it's clinically insane he's M. saying like I don't agree with any of them together because we got a totally well but he was so hysterical and true lies he was he wore it is we need to me he made that movie and his his career his his dynamic with Arnold Schwarzenegger in that movie as his handler and as you know Arnold was a singleton operator who's a clandestine operator and Tom Arnold was his handler hysterical but the plot was awesome they wove Jamie Lee Curtis in the story in a really creative and fun way so it was I think was the perfect mix of like levity fine but serious like. action thriller stuff so so I we obviously agree on predator which makes me very happy because that movie is is absurd but amazing right like but I plot is it's like sci fi but in the date on gold there's. contravene going on there but like all of a sudden there's this weird monster you know the original monster the the issue was too big and was gonna look much more animate much more like almost like the terminator it was much more metallic but the she was too big and heavy in the jungle so then they had to switch to that Blake Leo lizard looking got updated or changed I've watched the backstory of the voice is so that's all you too if you can watch and those guys by the way G. Jesse Ventura forget what he's done since then like Jesse mature at the time Arnold Schwarzenegger call weather's Jan you just had specimens together I mean guys who were at the peak of their physical prowess in a way that you know you just don't have that in any other movie really yeah when Arnold Schwarzenegger and and Carl weathers meeting they slap farms and see I got you pushing too many bad. the movie obviously see these big hawking by seven right there on the screen that is a that right there that was my father but also americana right so yeah my my two brothers I'm so we all we can quote any any line from that movie and immediately jump into the scene like start playing the different characteristics units on the times we all that on VHS I think we made the tape exploded watch it's only times but I I for me the matrix by the way oh my god I let me just point one I pretend that the second one didn't really happen the third well defined eye so I'm in I'm a guy I love that movie I just I guess I didn't really consider as an action film it certainly is I I sort of the these legendary films like the matrix I feel like transcend genres so I love the matrix I I think that it is just an amazing iconic story I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I actually love matrix reloaded I don't like matrix revolutions I don't I'm not a fan of the third one I don't like how they concluded it but I love the second one I wins with like the the the the gunners guys are like all white head to toe whatever has car chase scene and yeah that that is the most amazing car chases estimates of all time but so this was all just a big does a big preamble firemen who who's gonna play Eric steel well so I'm sorry because it actually might happen with all the talk about yet I yeah I might would you want to play Eric's the well I mean I wrote Eric steals personality to have a very star lord ask quality of so like Chris Pratt guardians of the galaxy where he faces very serious situations almost impossible situations but he never really loses his sense of humor at least in these early books when he's not as jaded as he will be in book three goes through some serious stuff in book one and even worse in book two so book three he's going to be a little bit more jaded but I thought Chris Pratt would be great unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen but I would love to see like a Ryan Reynolds characters Eric steal it be great or somebody even lesser known that just like has the work ethic and believes in the story I mean who's going to play the sarcastic but very wise C. I. A. analyst who's making his coffee and base you know a box section as my first choice that's gonna say is gonna be like. watching back from headquarters like yep looks like we lost another one day sorry that this guy I've got this character in book three his name is Ralph he and Ralph I told you we have like around this is to me his name is Ralph. think of you as Ralph his name in the store is Ravi but you said you said you wanted a little intelligence Wacker like the guy in the computer course that's the guy all right yeah hi so we got some water you heard it here first on the box section showed Raffi modeled after you fantastic Sean Parnell everybody all out war is the book you should go pick it up now because his books are great were to come back and chat with John about some things going on the world.

"Limbaugh weekdays from noon to three are we here in studio in the Fremont and why see with my friend Shawn Parr now bestselling author his latest is all out war. what's the best let me start with this actually what's the best war movie or TV show you've seen in the last two years two or three years let's say anything anything good I feel like they know me I feel like there hasn't been anything a little while but certainly nothing on the scale of like saving private Ryan Black Hawk down yeah I actually master and commander is one of the true military masterpieces of cinema of all time which is not as popular movies some of the movies but incredible for what it is what do you think okay so I would say Jack Ryan is by far the coolest spot sorry the preppy analyst who lived in Georgetown road crew in college has a swoop as of yet there and did you see it now just the of course I saw you didn't like it it was my life story home wall of course to me. it was right exactly does lose a little too handsome he's a little too he's Jack are awesome six pack and you know all right all right I'm gonna get to the gym more subtle than that I thought that is in terms of a story and a show that was one of the most brilliant plots and fast moving most technically technically accurate in terms of combat shows I've seen in a long time on Amazon and I just saw the preview for the next season of Jack Ryan and man it looks great focuses on socialist country Venezuela and the Russians are fending us up. giving arms to Venezuelans and creating armed insurrections in Central America it looks hot man are badly but it now because you're the author of all out war as you've obviously had to do a lot other than actual war fighting yourself the study a lot from the genre seeing a lot of you and I grew up watching action factual over that you know I grew up watching action movies we dare you what is the group action not not war movie and you're the greatest action movie of all time is what the greatest action movie of all time move okay so you are really really put me on the spot but your argument is your. I'm I'm I will give you an answer but I'm afraid to give it to you because I don't want you to make fun of me when I get you but so I would say what I think one in one or the other you can give me talk to you okay okay so just classic predator I just think that that's one of my answer so obvious it's amazing right is that such a great movie with a simple plot I love I just love that movie everything about the movie but I also love the movie true lies wow I think it's sold everybody he's thrown out of sleep listen listen Tom Arnold today is just please clinically insane he's insane like I don't agree with any of them together because we got a totally well yeah but he was so hysterical and true lies he was he wore it is read to me he made that movie and his his career his his dynamic with Arnold Schwarzenegger in that movie as his handler and as you know Arnold was a singleton operator who's a clandestine operator in Tom Arnold was his handler hysterical but the plot was awesome they wove Jamie Lee Curtis in the story in a really creative and fun way so it was I think was the perfect mix of like levity fine but Sirius like. action thriller stuff out so I we obviously agree on predator which makes me very happy because that movie is is absurd but amazing right like but I plot is it's like sci fi but in the date on gold there's. contravene going on there but like all of a sudden there's this weird monster you know the original monster the the issue was too big and was gonna look much more animate much more like almost like the terminator it was much more metallic but this too is too big and heavy in the jungle so then I had to switch to that Blake Leo lizard looking guy got updated or changed I've watched the backstory of the system that's all you too if you can watch and those guys by the way G. "Was the at the time he retired at the chief executive officer the head of the walking skunk works which was below the top secret by point everything from the you to have a seventy one up for the F. one seventeen which by the way was first flown in nineteen eighty three we see nothing else announced out of what you've got since then I was almost thirty what five six years ago well I would tell you that there's something they've been working on I actually haven't been sitting there watching movies at the flock of controversial if creedal quite a few things but he he actually mentioned that during his talk to the engineers at UCLA where he had graduated from he talked about the fact that the stealth fighter was built based on a Russian mathematicians equation and the engineers at the walking stuff works pickup of equations and decided that the way to build a completely invisible aircraft to radar would be by using the map of mathematical that's why the F. one seventeen look so strange looks it's angular Kelly's different shapes and who wouldn't angles to it the normal aircraft doesn't have to invade the radar will similarly you mentioned that we figured out how to go travel to the stars and we'll take a lifetime to do it it's all based on a bed of mathematical equations now you would share with me for those mathematical equations work but Mike great senses that now many years later they were talking about I think shelter relativity and or some errors in that IT help told me that they figured out what those are you need to hire did you say Einstein made some errors well a they they were aired in those equations there was some some some things and actually I've read many many years ago that he may have purposely made those errors because he was afraid that if he had read it the way it was supposed to be there we would take the surname into weaponry and he didn't want that to happen he saw what happened to the people of MC squared where we are the only five five that he was concerned about that all your thing I mean who knows I thank the here to tell us why he did what he did but but the good news is that all these physicists were studying this are now starting to come to the realization that we can manipulate space and time and in doing so we can get to places where we thought it would take if you want to get there now would you tell us about the new initiative at MoveOn called the greatest questions this sounds very exciting like a hi Ralph think tank for UFO mysteries well that and and research well damn right who is the former director of education took some time off from one came back about a year to two years ago and open up a dialogue with me and we were talking he had really cute too great interest one was the all the papers at the time that it was dumped on the internet actually what we are planning to do about it I said I don't yeah what should we do about it with the whole thing and he actually went through and and cold through all the documents and we wrote a book called the CIA papers which was published in one book now also available at Amazon for it which talk about all these papers is supposedly the CIA dumped out of it was back when they were trying to fail we give you all information on your we have our files which I highly doubt but that's what they said and so this book is about what they dump down on to the internet but it's impacting the same thing he he really wanted to re energize our research consultant and folks who we've always had two folds and into fall under the people with PHP the masters level degree torque on cases and we cannot it's always been more a name then actually in an actual practice and so what you would do is energized these issues we have about three hundred PhD that there are five to move on people either P. fear masters degrees and so he came up with the twenty five greatest questions and they're just the you know great questions because the whole UFO phenomenon that people would want to know answers to seven point one why you're pulling up the great questions we'll take this break so that won't be a you won't be interfered with and that so it does take a little break here John Hartson is going to get put together the great questions force when we come back.

"All behavior public we had paid you folks are going to interrupt counsel while they're talking I'm an **** the officer to remove you from the from the meeting you were given a courtesy of that here yeah without comments from anyone else no now you respect them when they're given their comments into everything everyone has to say thank you when you have elected officials weeding out warning advising criminals how do we looting invaded the law enforcement community that is a disgrace in your violation of your office and you have struck the justice the reality is that a century state is about identity politics do we failed on the tactical agenda of socialist want to shame Republican to believe anyone who opposes them all races in the fall we caters since ones concern for public safety of course for collective guilt when the governor and then state legislator thanks all veterans of constitutional analysis there is a problem we Jersey's Attorney General calls for shows across the state to ignore federal immigration laws and when the governor to soldiers rally behind him it's once again validation New Jersey was on a slippery slope post World War anarchy that is amazing now here's why it's amazing because I think that's the tip of an iceberg now think about how not good it would be well that was terrible grammar how unfortunate it would be if the mainstream news media covered the Democrats that feel this way not gonna help their folks stalking her trump and remember that's the main filter for mainstream news media how will it her trump a great example will be hurricane Dorian hitting Florida how can we cover the story to make president trump look bad it already missed Porter Rico which would have been directly they would have blamed on trial there were several he spotted over there but how and and this is a big story that's being missed by the mainstream news media and that is Democrats are there's millions of Democrats that are grown up hardworking love America love the military spectral each and one control the border but they've been cowed into this ridiculousness that comes out of the mouths of people like Elizabeth Warren or Beto what day does say a couple months ago Beto said if I'm elected president I will take the existing walls down what the hell's wrong with you what's wrong with you if I'm elected president will take those bullets out of the guns what do you need bullets in the guns you coppers come on and and mark result a Rizzoli excuse me I I was thinking of an Italian dish Rizzoli he's an example of a guy that's at a local level grassroots level staunch Democrat union guy pro cop pro America and he's looking at his own party the Democrats which I think the wheels have been coming off since mid Obama administration and he's saying this is ridiculous what's wrong with you people you're gonna call me a racist because because we disagree you're a E. L. and and just the fact that he opened up he opened up with the truth and the truth is children are removed when people are arrested in America so this is why I think that this is an undercurrent that we all need to pay attention to we all know look if you're listening to the Rush Limbaugh show you're already informed on all on a lot you already know that eighty nine ninety two percent of the news media not really working hard to be objective about things that are trump for things that are Democrat or things that are liberal or things that our immigration but do you remember this guy he's on my Facebook page at Ken Matthews the just I think yeah good chunk of his videos on there and that is what I think indicative of where the people I'm gonna say the silent the silent majority I know that sounds weird but I don't believe the majority of Democrats are what you hear coming out of Bernie Sanders Ralph think about it you know coming up later this hour we're gonna interview of a woman that reunites World War two veterans and it's a beautiful program and think about all the Democrats Republicans independents all the non political people that fought for this country and and then you get Bernie Sanders who honeymoons in Russia and speaks highly of the China leadership over his own president and you you've got people in the Democratic Party that think president trump should be in peach they don't know why they just they think you should be in page this is getting ridiculous Hey Mike can we play one more cut before the break do we have time I wanna play I want to play one more sound bite will play cut too this is the guy I'm talking about in New Jersey state government thinks it's acceptable strong shows include nor in the federal immigration laws one is taking a poll the law that means all of them we'll still applies and so there's a separation of powers in judicial review state and local policymakers must accept that they're not in any position to pick and choose which floor they will honor and which was only more public safety go hand in hand I continue to stand by that credo identity politics was created shaman moved away and only community of people it's a dependency brainwash him into believing socialist rhetoric to get their votes it's not about empowering people it's about keeping them relying on government by dangling carrots of free college drugs licenses free health benefits free legal aid in sanctuary's status in the end this will surely backfire and we will be the ones to suffer this policy is the same as anti American yes this council to vote on a resolution authorizing township attorney to file a federal lawsuit against governor Murphy who always talks about immigration this administration over immigration collect collect directive that prohibits state county and local law enforcement agencies from engaging routine acts of cooperation with the United States immigration and customs enforcement this is about public safety not about identity politics and it's disgraceful in a post nine eleven world that we need to see anyone discuss that Americans come first national security comes first no one is advocating against legal immigration that is a tool it's consistent socialist all up that when you have call was illegal immigration we used a racial war which is extremely reckless I actually just astounded committee members represent your constituents properly and the fall of the law now what is so exciting about this the Democrat and he has no candidate there is no one in the Democrat party right now running that fits that guys ideology in his belief there is nobody on the Democrat side that would come forward a democratic candidate for president and say yeah I heard what mark said I couldn't agree more with that no they will get near it because it was politically incorrect my argument is simply this the majority of people are connecting with the issues and not necessarily the way president trump is handling all the issues but there on the same page with the issues we do have problems with everything he just said and the president has covered that that's why I don't buy into some of these polls that are coming out like well if the election were held today Hubert Humphrey would be trump Michael Dukakis would be trump no we wouldn't this is the rush Limbaugh's show I'm can Matthews will be right back it's new it's.
