I am the creator of the empowerment experiment And the author of our black year my family's year-long stand completely living off of black owned businesses When we decided to take on this public pledge, we had no idea how hard it would be there was only one black owned grocery store in all of Illinois And that grocery store closed Five months before we finished our year And I have two little girls that means no fresh milk no fresh meats no fresh produce But I put them through that because we took the stand and we wanted Really to do something extreme out of love for our community to expose How few black businesses there still are? to refute negative stereotypes about black owned businesses and to expose Economic injustice that still persists in america after the year I decided that I could not go back to corporate. I could not go back to law I've made this issue of economic racism And really trying to create economic empowerment In our black community my life The black hair care firms they uh sustained the civil rights movement Black women created these companies huge thriving companies And we needed that we talk about black wall street now because we shine a light on what happened in tulsa Most black neighborhoods were anchored by these black wall streets And if we could bring that back America would be better. I'm not saying bring all the back that would probably be impossible, but we can bring black hair care back So There are great black hair care companies that exist black owned hair care companies that exist right now And it would be wonderful for in america just like other groups own their culturally relevant products and industries That the black community can own the biggest black hair care brands that the black community can own black beauty supply stores Three percent of the beauty supply stores in black neighborhoods and people know people black people know what i'm talking about If you go into a black neighborhood You're going to see a beauty supply store and they're going to sell all the black hair care products that only black people use And they are not owned by black people So i've issued the black owned hair care challenge just asking everyday folks to say Hi, my name is maggie anderson and I accept the black owned hair care challenge and tell the world that from now on I'm going to buy black hair care products. I'm going to make sure it's from a black owned company The all-new hair radio morning show i'm carrie hinds now I have with us for the very first time Uh, I think she's from the world of hair care We are talking about someone who is uh, she's a professional hair stylist a business owner an educator coach an inspirational consultant and also the author of a book called adjusting your crown That's a book written to encourage and inspire individuals to establish their vision set their goals And make adjustments daily as necessary then accomplish those goals and fulfill their vision to hard work and trust in god It is my honor to welcome to the broadcast. Enola Pollard. Let me just put that on out there So, uh for me, so I know because you're very busy and that's just that's what that speaks to Uh, so dr. Pollard now, I want to go back a little bit Where exactly are you based out of? I don't think you're not here in new york with me. Are you? I am not i'm in louisiana No, wait, what? You're in the central time zone Okay. Wow All right. So now that is exciting. So thank you and thank you for that And the reason that we always share that because everybody always looks at oh, I know where that is, okay So I think the lafayette area, correct? Yes in the lafayette area is actually near new orleans like me whenever you're smitten louisiana, that's the first thing you know that comes to mind is new orleans for body garage, you know that that's Definitely something big that happens in our area and essence musical festival. So Everyone thinks of new orleans, but i'm from lafayette Yeah, so i've i've actually been to nor we say no No to new orleans one time i've only been there one time so i've got a chance to go to bourbon and all of that And uh, so it's really exciting. So listen, I want to get back to you on this so I really have to now Can you tell uh the folks out there a little bit about how you help? The uh, the folks out there whether it is somebody, you know, like we started off and let in on hair loss talking about that Has anything changed? Uh really on that topic Over the years because it has been something i've been talking about for years here literally if I had a I'd be a Multi-gazillionaire now. So what has anything changed in a way that we approach? The topic of hair loss and what can you share with everybody dr. Enola Well, what I can share with you Is whenever I went to school to get educated because I had a passion for hair loss. I was having so many clients You know that was concerned and I knew that Just what I learned in beauty school was not enough. I had to take it another notch and get more educated on hair loss and that's what uh moved me to go to school for a trichologist and I was introduced to Becoming a holistic hair practitioner And it really I mean it really stirred up so much passion and need Because it's deeper hair loss sometimes comes from stress Your lifestyle your medication Your health the way you eat. It's so many it's a variety Of things that can pinpoint what is the cause of you having hair loss? I absolutely love holistic hair Practitioner the education is ongoing and you can help clients in so many ways Which also gave me the option to be certified as a life coach because there's a lifestyle change And in so many stages that a person goes through when they're having a ceremony, you know, you go through denial you go through shame You know, you can't believe that it's you. "Station sponsored by Michael chute casino. Thanks for joining us. I'm Kim shepherd. And here's what's happening. Harry and Meghan, the duke and Duchess of Sussex were involved in a car chase with paparazzi in Manhattan last night. The details are a little murky, the couple's spokesperson say it lasted hours the mayor of New York suggesting it might have been closer to ten minutes, either way this was not a safe situation. ABC's Derek Dennis is joining us on the northwest news line to talk more about it. What happened last night? Well, first of all, prince Harry, his wife, Meghan Markle, and her mother, Gloria raglan, are all safe. They were not injured in whatever happened last night. As you said, the details are murky. The royals or not working royals put out a statement saying that they were chased for some two hours in a near catastrophic situation through the streets of New York City, mayor Adams was giving a news conference and made a statement saying he doubted lasted that long, but said it would be inappropriate for any kind of chase to be happening on the streets. And now ABC News has been digging into this, including interviewing a taxi driver who apparently picked up Harry Meghan and Megan's mother after a charity event that they were attending and said, it wasn't nearly a chase lasted just a few minutes, and he never felt unsafe at all. So there are conflicting reports about this. ABC News is looking into it, including going around the route that apparently they traveled looking for surveillance video to try to corroborate whatever happened, but it appears this was made to be more of than it actually was. Yeah, I understood that at some point there was New York police involved in some kind of an escort for them. Right. And the NYPD put out a statement saying that no arrests were made that at no time where the royals placed in harm's way. And said that they arrived at their destination safely. And so again, a lot of conflicting information here. And we're getting to the bottom of it. Well, it's understandable how Harry might be particularly sensitive to the situation. I mean, in light of his mother's death, Princess Diana, it's hard to believe it's been 25 years, and it seems like not a whole lot's changed when it comes to paparazzi. Sure. I mean, paparazzi known to be aggressive or particularly overseas in Britain, but someone aggressive in the states as well. And yes, in 1997, Harry's mother Princess Diana died in a car crash while being chased by paparazzi in Paris. So he, of course, is very sensitive to it. That may be the undercurrent here, but by most accounts, this was nowhere near that kind of situation. And when we have presidential visits, we've got the Secret Service, they're shutting down freeways. Are there any kind of protocols for when royals come to town? Well, we know that they did have their own security with them and also NYPD escort at least for some portion of their evening as they went to and from this charity event. But it does beg the question why they would be in a taxicab after all this. Why not have a private car service? So there are a lot of questions that are surrounding it for sure. And I think about regulation of the industry itself, when we think about paparazzi, their generally independent photographers just hoping they can get a good shot. They can sell to a magazine or a website. I imagine if they were employees of those news outlets, then their bosses might be on the hook for their behavior. So what about any kind of regulation for the industry? Well, and that's a question because we have not seen any of the pictures from this incident from the paparazzi. They haven't appeared anywhere. And so the question is, did they not get a good shot last night during this incident or whether the outlet that they were working for are withholding it? No, there's not a lot of regulation surrounding the paparazzi. Obviously they have to abide by state, local laws in terms of speeding, invasion of privacy. But yeah, curious to see if any pictures from this incident will appear anywhere in tabloids or elsewhere, or if they just don't exist. ABC's Derek Dennis, on the northwest news line. "Flat or house that you rented or bought? I almost, the very first one I finished studying in America was in Soho, actually, in broadwick street, and I was in a fair rented Westminster council gorgeous three story flat that looked out onto borough street market. And it was very cheap, I loved it. So you lived. You're not Soho go. It's fantastic. Yeah, no, it was brilliant. And you rented it. How can you remember how much the rent was? I honestly can't. Hundreds though it wouldn't have been thousands, which it would be now. Good grief. Yeah. Well, I'm shocked by that. 'cause I know nothing. We then bought, so why would I say we'll save? And then we had enough to get a mortgage, and then we bought a flat in baker street. And then we bought a house and captain hill gardens in Notting Hill, and then we bought another house in barns, and where we have lived for 36 years. Which is beautiful. Which is, well, it's a nice. You have a flagpole. You're the only person I know. You'll have the flagpole in the house. It must be that shitty bang bang. What is it? And see if my wife salutes she doesn't often. So anyway, you earn property now. You now have a mortgage. Yes. Mortgage. Where does the word money comes from? A lot of people think it's linked to mortuary, which it is. It's got death in it, and not because it kills you to pay it off, but because the debt is dead when it's paid off, it's very strange. But yeah, mortgage and mortgage are linked. And when we had the flat in baker street, we had an hour long lease. Where does the word lease come from? That's French as well. So from the French lessy, meaning to let or leave. And of course, if you are advertising a house to rent, you say to let, which is literally giving someone permission, giving leave for someone else to live there. Is that a reason why so many of these words come from a French garage, often when we're talking, it's a German heritage, but all of these that we mentioned so far seem to be French. Yeah, it seems of the Normans and obviously that percolated through lots of different centuries. So when the Normans came over, we struggled with their French, so we came up with this hybrid called Anglo Norman, which was a bit of French, a bit of English, kind of twisted words to make them all familiar to our town. And for centuries, the language of finance of law of the sort of so called educated subjects were heavily influenced by French because it was the language of the nobility and the aristocracy and the people who were considered to be top class and educated. So that's why. The word lead is a word that has so many different uses, doesn't it? It does. And actually, I did look up and I think I made a note of this, how many entries yes, how many entries it has in the OED. So these quite prolific and I use the Oxford traditionally online, so I'm looking at this virtual pages. But 28 big senses and within each sense you've got 5 or 6 substances often. But set is the longest, the longest word, if you like, or the word with the longest entry in the OED. 128. Different ways you can use that. A 154. Sorry, so let is 2854 senses. And what does that mean? Of different definitions, different ways of using the word. Yes, different meanings essentially, and then that's not to mention all the different phrasal verbs that you have let up, let go, let on, let in or set up, set off, set in, set out all of those things. So we're talking about incredibly versatile words. And often quite annoying because particularly if you're non native speaker, how can you know? Very good. Am I talking about flats to begin with? Where does the word flat come from? Yes. So flat goes back to the Vikings. It had a very similar word. And do they have flats in those days? No. They didn't have flats, but for them, it meant smooth and even. And I think what we're talking about really is just a one single story building. So that was flat because it's on the flat. It's on the flat or it's just, he doesn't go up. It doesn't have a set of stairs. They don't have flats in America, do they? They have apartments. You have apartments. Why don't they have flats? I don't know. Because we deliberately have two very different languages. Deliberately. Well, the war event you won't remember the war of independence. The rest of the world, when we get to the Crimean War, I've got some very good stories about me and lord raglan. Nations wanted to have a language that was true to their identity. Obviously, there's not an enmity involved reject for the Americans rejecting the king's English was the same as rejecting the king. It was a big drive to make them as distinct as possible. And the word like apartment comes from being a part. Yeah, French French as well, yeah. So it was a private dwelling. That was the idea that it was originally something that was private and set aside set apart from public areas. So we had a flat then we had another flat. Then we had a house. Now where does house come from? That is Germanic. So house, you still have this household. Oh, it's because miserable. And that gives you Miz on it. Isn't it? A little house? And maybe just like if you mention? Mansion is related to months and that is definitely Latin and I'm going to look it up because I've never lived in a mansion. Well, the flats that we lived in were called mansion blocks. They were Victorian or edwardian mansion blocks. The ones in baker street are quite impressive. Yeah, I'm president. Did you ever live in a penthouse? No. Never lived in a penthouse. I once appeared in the magazine of that name. In younger and happier days, so I should have guessed this manta ray in Latin, meaning simply to stay, which gave us remain as well. So it's somewhere where you stay, but she doesn't quite give you the grandeur of it, does it? But the Anglo Norman version was mostly, meaning, dwelling, or abode, and I guess because it was French it meant something, you know, where the noble people lived. A bungalow is a world that isn't French, or German origin, I think it's Indian. Am I right? Absolutely right. It means done in the manner of houses in bed. To Bengal style house, the Bangalore. Yes, exactly, because they had the single story houses. And penthouse, just to go back to those, it goes back to the Latin Penta meaning. It's almost like a lean tube. I mean, the penthouse is now very swish, isn't it? But it was something that was attached, really, will stuck on to another building or another apartment. So it was originally like a shed or a garage, and then moved up in the world. Where was your first House? House House. Oxford. And then rent it there. I did. Yeah. It took me a few different renting and owning. No. No, if I lived in Germany, which was always my plan, I'd be renting happily. That was your plan. Your ambition to life was to live in Germany. I wanted to live in Germany, yes, Berlin was where I wanted to live and then various places. Then I went to America and wanted to live there and then yeah. Why didn't you do that? I don't know, well, Visa was the main reason for America. Not your card, your Visa card, they'd cut it up. Yeah. You couldn't get a Visa. Well, once my student Visa expired, I had to get a job within have many months. And I came home from Germany or from America. For America. Why didn't you live in you could live in Germany in argument? Sometimes have that found they remember that longing to be far away. Maybe that's because that word found me. So it means far sickness. So instead of homesickness, it's far sickness where you just yearn to be somewhere else. Gosh, don't we all feel that? Not now.

"To 5 20 grand chaos. Broadhead selections way more important in that scenario. It's a two blade cut on contact broadhead. Exactly. So I'm just curious, standing on the line, shooting for money, what do you do to prep to get ready to do that? I mean, that's a world that I haven't entered or what is different in that arena than hunting. The hardest thing to handle and it has a direct correlation to hunting is the urge, you know? Learning how to some people just struggle a lot with it. Some people don't at all. And it's kind of crazy. I attribute to type a and type three personalities a lot. You just get in order to get more comfortable in that scenario you just got a normalized, right? Jim berner shot a hundred freaking out with the body prior to the good jangle the more I said it to angle when they jam in, you know? You know, at the same thing goes, you know, I remember getting though getting an announcement from Montana to charge in as soon as it wasn't even a big help. Raglan 5 or 6, I don't remember what it was, but I just remember just shaking. The only thing I could think was do what you doing in a tournament scenario you just make sure you're pulling because it'll always hit behind where the pin was. And if you're not pulling your collapse and because you're nervous and your body wants to collapse, then you don't tell a word that I was going to go. But you pick up on little things like that in tournament archery that prepare you for what you see in the Woods. I had to meal there two years ago the same thing. It was a pretty long shot and I'm like, what even a big buck? You know, and it's like, I just felt myself trembling. I'm like, okay, make sure you pull. So, but nerves are, yeah. In the hunting situation, the one thing I think the first thing I tell people to do is slow down. We absolutely got to slow down. Because you're buying has gotten adrenaline attack your body has that your mind says, I want rid of this feeling. So the first thing you got to do is slow down. Second thing you got to do is, you know, visualize what you want to see happen. A lot of guys, if you hear stories, guys, just shooting and they don't know what happened. They missed. They just threw all the pins down on it and pulled the trigger and they just did a complete panic attack, right? And so if you'll take the time to think, I'll put that pin right there, just that little split second. You know, will kind of imprint that picture. When I'm shooting at ASA term, I look them up and I can buzz up the vernacular about what I create. We're going to see in my sight picture. And then I kind of think of visual texture of what I'm going to see when I look through my target scope. So kind of the same principle.

"To Bloomberg daybreak Europe live from London. Let's get you a check on the markets We are seeing markets moving a little bit further north this morning after the selloff we've had in recent days, the MSCI specific index three tenths of 1% higher Euro stocks 50 futures as well as we head towards the start of cash equities trading in half an hour's time there, 7 tenths of 1% higher on Wall Street has to be many features are half a percent higher as well. We are seeing bond yields moving a little bit lower this morning across Europe, the German ten year yield now two basis points are one spot 49 is right there in Italy the ten year BTP three basis points are three spot 79 this morning as the Euro is a tenth of 1% higher trading above parity now against the dollar at one zero zero 26. So those are the markets these are our top stories, Gazprom says that it will halt gas supplies to the French utility NG because of a disagreement over payments. The Russian company accuses energy of not paying in full for July deliveries. European Commission president Ursula von der leyen, meanwhile says that the EU has met its winter gas storage goal two months early with reserves. Now averaging 80%. At European level, we have agreed that all member states to do jointly save 15% of energy between August now and March 23. The second pillar is we need to diversify away from Russian fossil fuels to reliable like minded sources mainly also to fill our storages. And here's good news. We have reached now an average in the European Union of starch filling of 80%. That was the European Commission president Ursula von der leyen. Meanwhile, Gazprom plans to shut the Nord stream pipeline to Germany for three days of maintenance beginning today. Bloomberg has learned UK treasury officials have estimated that gas producers and electricity generators may make excess profits of as much as 170 billion pounds over the next two years. The assessment is set to be delivered to the new prime minister who takes office next week and is likely to fuel calls for expanding the windfall tax. While staying with inflation, Federal Reserve officials stress their commitment to tackling high prices while remaining vague on how big their policy move will be next month, three regional fed presidents are all saying that curbing sawing inflation is their top priority. Thomas barkin of the Richmond fed sees it as more important than growth. We're committed to getting inflation under control and there's a path to get there. A recession is obviously a risk in the process. I'll just say for context, nobody ever canceled the business cycle. So when you say there's a risk of recession, it doesn't have to be like a 2008 recession. Richmond fed president Thomas barkin speaking there to the Huntington regional Chamber of Commerce, fed officials lifted rates by 75 basis points at their last two meetings in Powell has said that another unusually large increase of this size could be on the table when they meet in September. China's economy continues to falter according to the latest factory activity figures, the official manufacturing PMI rose to 49.4 from 49 in July contracting for a second month in a row, the royal second largest economy has faced a range of sharks from drought and power cuts to COVID outbreaks and lockdowns. And now The White House says that Mikhail Gorbachev, who has died at the age of 91, dramatically reduced the potential for a third World War. The former leader of the Soviet Union is widely credited with bringing an end to the Cold War without bloodshed. Speaking before his death, Russian historian and politician Vladimir said that Gorbachev's vision change global politics forever. In the world, must say thank you, mister Gorbachev for freedom for independence for new policy for democracy for liberal political system. That was the Russian historian and politician of Vladimir, of course, the tributes being paid to Gorbachev in all of the newspapers by political leaders. It was such a remarkable time Gorbachev figure of my childhood and yet we're in such a different place now with Vladimir Putin waging war in Europe. And unbelievable contrast, but it really fascinating to read some of the tributes being paid to him and also to remind ourselves of the significant part that he paid in European history as well. That's our top stories this morning. Let's get a look next at some of the events we're watching out for later on. We've got Liang garands back in studio with us Liam. What have you picked out for us? Hi, Steven. So at 10 a.m. UK time we'll have the latest CPI reading for the Euro errand will be watching that closely for you. Also at 10 a.m. we'll have the CPI reading from Italy. Then at three 30 p.m., the EIA releases its weekly crude oil inventory report today as we've been discussing in you've been reporting Russia's Gazprom is set to halt gas flows through the keynote stream pipeline and that will be for three days of maintenance and later Cleveland Fred president Loretta mester speaks at an event in Ohio and her colleague the Atlanta fed president Raphael bostic is also speaking at an event, but he'll be in Georgia. And finally here in the UK, it is a day of industrial action across a whole range of sectors, royal mail staff on strike for a second day. That's an arrow overpay. Meanwhile, journalists reach newspaper group which does own the mirror and the express will also down tools today and the GMB union says the queen's bins will not be emptied this week as refuge collectors in Windsor and maidenhead are also a striking overpay. So lots happening on that front and I hope the queen is okay with their bins not been emptied. I think she probably has enough space to not be sitting next to them. I would hope so. I would hope so, Steven. Obviously, and Garret thank you very much for that look ahead. Okay, now let's go to a Bloomberg exclusive. UK gas and electricity producers could be in line for a 170 billion pounds in excess profits over the next two years. This, according to the treasury sums, is something that officials will be presenting to the incoming prime minister and shows the potential for expanding the windfall tax, joining us now to discuss is Bloomberg's Lizzie Burton. So, this Bloomberg scoop it really, it highlights perhaps the internal raglans within government, Liz truss is the one tip to become the prime minister next week. She's talked about tax cuts though, not growing, Rishi sunak's windfall tax. This is a big one from Bloomberg's Alex Wickham and Todd Gillespie. It puts pressure on whoever is the next prime minister to increase the existing windfall tax on oil and gas production and then extend it to power generators as well. Remember, trust has repeatedly ruled out windfall taxes because she says that they send the wrong message to investors and the guy who's tipped to be her Chancellor quasi Quartet has also said that he's against them on principle. And then while both trust and rich assume I have said that they would do more to help the poorest household through the cost of living crisis, neither of them has said how much by. But by these figures, if the current rate of the windfall tax 25% were extended, it would mean that tens of billions of pounds in revenue could be generated to help people with their energy bills this winter, which of course, as we know, are set to rock it to triple the level they were last year. I wonder whether this is what nadeem zahari the Chancellor was talking about in that interview with our Caroline Hyde when he said he was working on additional measures to help households so that the next p.m. could hit the ground running, although he wasn't that specific, perhaps this was one of the suggestions, but then again he does back trust. So you have to wonder whether he would hit her with a windfall tax plan. There is yes more gloomy forecast though for the rest of the economy Goldman Sachs now saying that if natural gas prices remain high, inflation could reach 22%, BRC days are pretty grim as well when it comes to price rises. Yeah, I mean, it's gloomier than the 13% the Bank of England has currently forecast gloomier than the 18% city had

"And thanks for your help your eddie. I'd like to hear your thing. It's going to be so quick and you're gonna laugh. Say what it is maybe not tank tops Really also all sleeveless shirts. This is a good con Concept some really wicked overrated. I actually realized that we have done a segment on raglan tease or baseball tease So really i just think that like you said emerge. No i think that stan yes. But i just don't like standard t shirt right wavelength. Yeah long. I want it long or nothing at all. Texas has really made me appreciate a sleeveless t I you know. I think maybe people feel like you know the tease for everyone. That's exactly how. I wanted to start this office. I just i never considered myself a tank top man. Because i thought like that's not that's not for me wasn't half stinking thinking. Yeah the second everyone is. Everyone deserves that. Everyone deserves that magic. Everyone deserves. Can i ask you stinking thinking. Is that going to be a new signature griffin maccarone expression like the mcelroy's have been saying that to some degree on podcast for a little bit. Now this i am. I may not have busted out in front of you before like that. Were there now. Yeah i feel. I finally feel comfortable. Yeah i like there. Is this preconception that you have to have like a particular armor particular lifestyle to where the sleeveless t and i say nay may everyone deserves it in in texas. Let's walk through the argument for a t-shirt okay. It's ninety eight degrees outside right now. Right yes and so you think i'm not gonna wear a long-sleeve shirt that would be too hot. I want more of my arm to be out some aware t shirt and that i would say why. Stop there i keep going. You got halfway there where you're like. It's too hot for sleeves. So i'm going to wear some sleeves. That sucks and the only thing keeping you from reaching out finishing the finishing the fight and going full measure is just is just because you think tank tops aren't for you. Here is the question. This is the ultimate test griffin. Macro would you ever cut the sleeves off of a shirt. And where it. No i but i. That's because i would trust the sort of sartorial expert forming the same way that i wouldn't so a garment for myself I have tut some lounge pants shorts and one time i did a pretty good job of it and the other time. I made what could be described as turbo chubby. That would give me banned from any social media platform. If i did coast picture myself wearing their So i don't think that i would be an expert at it is just like it's too hot for a long sleeve. Yeah so i gotta protect air out my forearm but like what about your by seven your armpit. Yeah i have thought a lot. About why like you. So much a sleeveless t. And i think a lot of it is that just seems like you're going to be a fun time guy that day. I think that the tank top suggests a certain amount of liberation. Like i see you. And i think like us. Can you could time with griffin today. Because you see my you see my pits and you think like if she is like not stressing that yeah then. He's not stressing anything. Because i really do think i mean it could be. Maybe you're not feeling great about the the attendance of your gun. Show right about the number of vendors showed up to your gun show. So that's why you haven't done it. But i really think it's the stigma of the of the pits guy. You just like nobody. Nobody can see these things. I wonder if you're consciously pulling back your short sleeve right now in an effort to i fucking hate de sleeves. I wanna burn every t shirt. Ione yeah maybe. I should cut this leaves off one of these. Let everybody know how it goes. There are different types of sleeveless shirts right. You have the tank top which has a larger head hole and all the holes are sort of reinforced with like a double stitch. That's different from a muscle shirt. Which is basically just a t shirt sleeves got cut. Bright off yeah. Okay sometimes a plunging plunging cut for the number that being challenging as a little kid because the armholes rose is too big guess. And i just felt like like who is this for those are that i'm not ready for that yet. I'm just sort of a tank. Top ten top oil tank tops by the way are named for tank suits which are old like swimsuits. One piece swimsuits from the twins. They're called maya does is the proper french term. I guess But they were called tanks. Because i guess back in the day swimming. Pools recalled swimming tanks. Which is oh. That doesn't work for me but it's like a one piece. You know what we would consider to be a very conservative one piece bathing suit which back then was like look at. Can you believe now. She's wearing tank suit. Who look at the look at those knees. So so that is where i mean. the tank. Top kind of resembles the top of the tank suit. And then you have the the ribbed cotton tank top that has a very offensive name all overseeing but apparently are also called a shirts which i didn't know referring to them without using the very offensive name that we all used for. It's interesting yeah. I just want to call that a tank top or a ribbed tank top I wore quite a bit of asia shirts. Not sort of ryan atwood fashion but underneath my hawaiian and bowling shirts that were set about. I mean they are. They are a standard under shirt for. I mean i remember back. In the day people used to wear undershirts a lot more. And i never really understood why i don't either i don't either. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Maybe if you get hot you can dress down to it. Yeah one. I guess the look for a while was like the unbuttoned shirt over something all and that's still that's still poppin in a big way. I'm not going to get into the history of tank tops. Because it's basically the history of every other garment is popular. Now is like we're like this. It's hot less. Wear something different than like fucking marlon. Brando wore it in every movie. He was an regardless of the role. And then i that's all right and then in the seventies people like let's wear these things and in the eighties and nineties people like. Let's only wear these epa now. I feel like it's coming back. Because i feel like it. We people are just like me just realizing like is too fucking hot now. It's too hot to wear a t shirt that i don't like. Yeah what. I could just be free to be me and do what i want so i encourage you to to embrace that and just enjoy you. Yeah maybe you start to. This is actually griffin's introduction was kind of in in the novelty arena nearer. He got a tank top. I was kind of funny trip. It had an american flag design on it and then it said training to be goku. And then there's a picture goku doing push ups and then underneath is or at least crillon. I don't understand the second guy. I know who goku is. He's the big strong spiky hair. Man that does beams. Yeah but i don't anontello sure about mr caroline's body workout. I do understand it. Conceded the shirt but i wore that and i was like hey this is comfy and i wore it the next day and i was like fuck. Like tank tops. Yeah that's the thing like dip. You're telling you sam gonna get kind of an ironic thing and you never. It'll be like and that'll make you feel like you're not really committed. And then maybe maybe you spend more time. Maybe it's maybe. And i got some compliments on a tank top lara's wearing from some friends and that's enough to like that's it signed sealed delivered. I'm a tank top. That explains approach with henry. You were trying to get henry into tank top life and he was hesitant about it and you're like telling me looks good. Yeah no work was so self who really didn't wanna he's four years old like i feel like i don't look good in tank top. I wanted to be like your four your four years old. You can't feel that way about stuff like you're too young to be very early clarified. Why yeah we don't know if it's like an insecurity stigma of the pits like. I'm sure there's kids in his daycare. Whose leg i don't wanna see any pits. Because they get started so young now but the cruelty thanks to bow in august for our theme song. Money won't.

"It's 9 41 and once U. S. Troops are fully withdrawn from Afghanistan. How long would it take for terror groups like Al Qaeda or the Islamic state to rebuild and rise again? That was a question posed to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing as well as how he would characterize the threat, I would assess it as medium. I would also say, Senator that that it would take Possibly two years for them to develop that capability That's said to be the most specific public forecast about the possible terror threat there down the line. The policy change stems from a law passed by Congress about a year and a half ago. "Of the winds and that one's career have come on on the turf course. Especially golden Gate. So we like the number eight. Ready, ready. Say go, Um the speed of diamond blitz is always you always need to make sure that one's covered because that would allow diamond blitz is a little bit of a runoff tape. And it kind of puts puts the race that kind of brings the closures into play because you kind of figure that out. Other early speed types who are chasing David Blitz cannot be helped by that. So for that reason, we we took out some of the other early pace types. We thought that we're going to be compromised by a diamond blitz speed in the race and used some of our closers. Self number eight. Certainly one of the candidates number two on Raglan Road. That's 6 to 1 and then number four claim of passion. So we we had pretty much the even numbers for race number eight, and that was going to be in order of preference. 86. Two and four. Okay? And we wrap it up with the 19 final Nathan final again. We get back to where we really only like two runners in this race, and it came down to a choice between the number three night gig. That's the 75 Morning line favorite and the second choice. Cannonball coming At its 5 to 2. We went ahead and decided that cannonball coming deserved the top honors here night gig has had a little bit of a little bit of trouble getting back to the race following that wind from April 17th. So it um We're just not exactly sure. And if he won't make sure everything's okay and again, I'm sure trainers being very careful about making sure that the horses ready to compete, But we've just noticed a few little, uh, stops and a few scratches along the way just to kind of get back. So, um, for that reason, um and and also cannonball coming. Just a real solid, real solid runner seems to bring His game every every time, So we were strictly a 53 to close out the Golden Gate program. Here in the first The top five in the early years and 48 another ticket. How much you're investing in the second? Oh, yes. Our, um, our lead pick five ticket. We had that one. Actually, I guess also at a 48 $48 investments, so so both the early and late were symmetrical in their in their cost structure there, so We felt that with a nice 50 cent variety of it gives us a little a little better chance to have additional coverage in some spots. Where, um, you know, with with the full $1 payout, you're going to double the cost so that we thought this was nice to kind of be able to keep the Cost of the tickets with within a reasonable level there. Uh, okay. Yes, Uh, look at Golden Gate was, uh, rates of speed figures dot com now because there's a mandatory pair at Santa Anita. Uh, we're looking at a pick six. And they have 400,000 already in the bank as they open up and that will start with race number four, I believe, and, uh, what are your thoughts on today's Pick six at center needed. Yeah, and all these mandatory payout days. It's important to come in with a ticket that we we probably shoot maybe a little bit on the lower side than some players. I'm sure some and some will probably get get a group of friends together to kind of help split the cost of the ticket, you know, and it's a nice way. Especially if you're going out to the to the track to have a nice little group there and, um, kind of co mingle your funds put it in together for mandatory payout day and and hopefully you structure the right ticket and get get a slice of that. Ideally, you'd love to be the only single winning ticket. But I think the ticket that we've constructed today I don't suspect we would be the only ones holding it. But again, if you can get a slice of that pie, it's certainly well worth. Um the go. So I've we put together a ticket since it is a mandatory payout day we we put together um Actually turned out to be a $96 tickets. So what? With that golden gate where we're having $48 early and late pick I think it's the same, basically at one track. It's the same basic investment for this mandatory, so it's a $96 ticket and in the opening leg We were going to take. We're going to take the the 2 to 5, probably the 2 to 5 favorite in this one supersonic flyer was probably going to end up being a single on quite a few tickets. We're going to go ahead and though it used just one other rival, it's the one taking. It's the biggest drop in racing. You're getting a little bit of an equipment change. I believe it's blinkers off in this case, and just, um, you know, really the only other runner in the race that could possibly run down supersonic flyers. Supersonic flyers going to with Jessica Piper is going to go out there and leave this one. As as, uh, as far as that one can go and then policy Soul number two. Rated the the only probably the only threat from behind so for the opening leg. We're going to go ahead and just go with a to five to hopefully, hopefully get us off and running. Alright, We move into the second leg of your pick six. Yeah, and pretty much with any with any pick six. Unless you're going to really play a large ticket you really need to try to find where where you're single might be trying to find that the most likely winner regardless of price, And we kind of felt that even though a lot of players will probably go ahead and take their single in the opening leg, we're going to go ahead and use it in the In the second leg, and that's going to be the the 95 favorite. Um, since the winter that's going to be in the rail runner yet one of it, uh, top turf writers that we have.

"His truck. Okay, this is stony Brook apart apartments in Fulton Dale, friend of mine eyes, telling me a report there. This is the storms that we were talking about earlier and Dr Tim is talking about He's got damaged in CenterPoint. He was out driving around and 79 Sun Hill Road. 79 Sun Hill Road there in the Center Point area. We're gonna work to see if we can get Tim on the phone with us. Um, an old unveil the whites flickering on and off incredible rain there. This looks like it's going to track just to the north of the Odin Ville area, But we do have numerous reports of damage. In Fulton Dale based on what we've seen from the radar data. And also the debris Signature, you know, looks very much like we had a tornado moved through their higher winds moving through ST Clair County and again outside of the warrant area. We do have Raglan and it wouldn't surprise me if we have some high winds move through the Ragland area. I want to make sure if you're in Ragland, you are paying attention to the weather. I know the warnings a little farther to the north. And that's where the original Tauron attic signature was heading. But I think there's been a little bit of a shift here. We may have some higher winds moving through the Ragland area, so we're gonna really stay on top of this over the next little bit where the storm goes. Eventually, I think we see it on into any white County. There's a whole bunch of of rain. I mean, incredibly heavy rain. The worst of the lightning is around Coldwell and Cool Springs. And then back out to the West West was talking about Pickens County under the severe Thunder Storm warning, So that's what we have right now, Wes. I'm gonna turn it back over to. You need to run and get a little information, and I'll be right back. Yeah, I'm just looking at some of the damage reports that we have coming in. I've solved one image here. Looks like maybe hotel was quite a bit of damage there that were Tracking in the Fulton Dale area. That's we had some of the damage earlier. Let me reset, Show you what's happening here at the moment and what we really need to watch out for. We're keeping an eye on West. Alabama had a couple of areas where we had that severe thunderstorm warning for Pickens County. That storm is weak and still need to watch this one right here. It's got very strong kind of a hook signature to it across North Tuscaloosa County need to watch that when And notice right here. This arrow That's where our systems detecting some very strong rotation and ST Clair County, and we still have this warning at SEC to expire in 11 30. Let me check your The weather service may be about to expand that particular warning and it looks like Okay. They just canceled the severe thunderstorm warning. No word here on what's going to happen with Pickens County. But we may see that expanded right here. There are systems still indicating where we may have a tornado. So bottom line. If you are watching us, I'd say Raglin to the hood community at this point. Just be ready to take action at any moment If we see this upgraded You know, I'm looking at this. I'm seeing.
