"Some cover s so to speak. Or or do you think that they're just so dug in because they don't like these guys and what they've done and how they went about doing it that no. No sort of grand pronouncement in that way would make a difference. Yeah, I think I understand your question. I guess the best way I can phrase it is the whole theme is going to protect the interests of the Hall of Famers. I mean, their bread and butter is getting the hall of Famers to all come out and gather together. Every July. And if you get Hall of Famers who get upset who maybe are interested, right? And they take a stance that is in conflict with that they do not want to do anything to upset. You know the people who are most important to them, and that's their inductees. On go. I don't think call is gonna come out and make any kind of statement like that in the past. You know, Joe Morgan has made Ah statement in the opposite direction that I think was on behalf of a lot of the Hall of Famers. I do think attitudes may be changing among some of the inductees just because I mean, it's so awful 12 12.5% I believe Of all living whole Famers passed away in the last nine months on Bennet's Yes, it's it's staggering. 10 10 Hall of Famers and the Hall of Fame just got, you know a lot younger because of that, and You know, so maybe attitudes might be changing a little bit. But I don't think the hall will come out and give any kind of guidance. We've been begging them for guidance forever. They haven't provided it. We asked them to lift the rule of 10 votes. Maybe make it 12 or make it limitless. We said 12 because we thought they'd say no to limitless. They said no to 12 s O Anytime we've We've tried to influence this this proceedings. They really haven't listened to us that considered us But they've said no s. Oh, you know, I don't really expect that there's gonna be anything along those lines it so it's interesting that you mention it because it's it's clear. You've got some people who are gay. Keep it. But just talking to people on the record and off the record it I've always gotten a sense that there's some Hall of Fame voters who just feel you know, hamstrung by the process, you know, damned if they do damned if they don't and And to get no guidance from the Hall of Fame just puts him In in a bad spot. Just I'd always felt that there just some people who Earnestly want to do the right thing with the Hall of Fame voting in and they take great pride in it, but they're not, You know, stringent in their beliefs or anything of that nature, but They just kind of don't have anywhere to go. They're boxed in and the whole they're just not Mr Lee doing anything to help them out with that. Yeah, I mean, we're all boxed in. But there's there's all kinds of different sort of negotiations that you make. When you fill out this this ballot in all of these different ways you try to justify how can you keep this guy in? But not this guy? I'm looking to next year's ballot. And I'm thinking I haven't voted for Manny Ramirez because he flunked ped testing was suspended. Um, you know, And does that mean I can't vote for a rod? Even though his numbers or former superiors? He was suspended for a year, You know, Um David Ortiz was someone who who had, but his test came, it was reported. Was never I think 100% confirmed. And it came when they did the sample tests in 2003. Do you know that was that was supposed to be confidential. So I mean, I think a lot of voters kind of draw a line between Hey, if you you know, you actually flunk the steroid test after the league started, you know, suspending players. Ah, and it was strictly against the rules. We all know it was against the spirit of the rules, if not the actual rules in place, you know, before 2003, but I think a lot of people make that sort of delineation. If you got caught after that time and you are suspended, then you know you're ineligible, and that's that why Rafael Palmeiro fell off the ballot. I think that's probably gonna piss community to see what people do with the Iran's when Manny Ramirez has never gotten, you know, above 30% or so So, um, I think Bonds and Clemens maybe are different case. I think we all can kind of recognize that. Their entire career was not a fraud. I mean, we know that they were the best players and pick player and pitcher in the game. You know, before we started suspecting that they might have been enhancing, so, you know, there's just so many different things you could say. Well, they cheated anyway, so you shouldn't It's the Hall of Fame. You shouldn't tarnish it by putting anybody in You know who cheated so it and they're all valid. They're all valid perspectives, and it's really hard when you have all these valid perspectives to get the 75% agreement on anybody, So that's kind of where we are. How do you come to grips with the character clause when you vote Because you said you voted for Omar Vis scale? Um, the athletic in December published a report in which his wife accused him of domestic abuse. He's denied the allegations. They're going through a divorce, but he was taken into police custody. In 2016. And yet you're you, You know, I'm sure there are people that you know, I don't know how you feel about the character clause. But that seems like a major mark on his character. If indeed those allegations have proved to be correct. Are you kind of just waiting to see where that goes? Yeah, Absolutely. I appreciate the question out second. Tell you I posted my ballot. Maybe three or four days before that story came out. Um, even if I still had it, I don't think I would have changed it. I think I would have let the situation in the investigation play out. Not sort of passed judgment before the sacks were all in certainly something that's very troubling. There are other people who are in the hall of Fame that, um have had domestic abuse allegations. Um Karey pocket is when I can think of off off the bat. Um, but but you know, it Z one of those things where you know the character clause. How do I look at it? I look at it as Kennesaw Mountain Landis. Actually, you know one of that clause in there so that voters would consider players who maybe didn't have the stats or the record. There was a player who was coming back from from World War one or something. I think he was a war hero, and you wanted him to be considered. I forget the player's name was off the top of my head, but that's kind of where the character clause came from. I don't look at it as something I'm gonna use to keep somebody out. I think I would use it as something where if someone maybe didn't have, you know the slam dunk numbers, but just gave a lot to the game in a positive way. Um, you know, then I'd give you extra credit in extra points. So I I look at it as an inclusive thing and our exclusive thing. If we're removing Landis, his name's from player awards..

"But don't you resent Run? Don't you resent some of these players who maybe did make some mistakes, whether they cheated or whatever you did it right. You were the man of integrity, who on and off the field, as they say with the Lou Gehrig Award. You got it. What events? Some of these guys that you played with it. Maybe you didn't do everything that you did to do things right? Well, Alan. Thank you, You know, but, you know, I've had my vices too. You know, I you know, I wasn't You know, a choir boy, and you know there. I didn't do anything of that nature talking about. But I'm just saying, you know, I I got off the main path a few times. You know, everybody does. Even Bret Barberie you think just can't know you have to tell me more about that. And, uh, he was. He was a good christian player. So I never really worried about that stuff. And I just didn't I didn't. I was like I had my career is fine. I trusted him. And I think that you could be going back to your wife. You said you gotta have a lot of that faith in each other. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, but anyway, as far as you know, the people that have, you know used, you know, I think Um, you know, Mark McGwire, you know, you know, he, uh, it was. It was kind of a slow way to develop for him because when they were asked to go back to Washington, D C and testify that Um, you know, that didn't work out quite the same way. I think that he felt it. My duty said, And Rose was for his sex drive. Remember that? Well, I mean, look, I mean, I like Mark. I think he's paid his dues. He's humble. He's a good guy. He knows he made a mistake. I think he's fessed up to that now, Eh? So you know, I have no issues with Mark. I love Mark. Quieter him a good friend. I consider him a good friend. I really I've always been a huge star hitting coach. Yeah, he was targeting coach for a while and we had Numerous conversations about thanks, and it was always fun to do that. But, you know, Palmero, you know, I was, you know, arms like, uh, away from Raphael when one dies with the Cubs. And Rafael Palmeiro. And when, when I was elbow to elbow with him, Uh, in spring training on, he was a young kid working his way through. And I would get to see him play, you know, because everybody has to see kids, the kids and so Yeah, I watched him work out and watching, you know their athleticism and how they play the game of character. They are so Learned quite a bit about him and, um Hey, always. I said, Man is this kid has a great stroke. I mean, it's not remember very little that he does wrong that if he went sideways for a while that you couldn't get him back on track, You know, it's not like some other guy who's got Five points where he breaks down and you know you're trying to fix three of them on and it's just different, but I did. I didn't envision him. I envisioned him as I plus 300 hitter. On. I thought that he may hit 15 home runs or so and on and depending on where he probably it fried the order because I think he command that kind of attention. He'd probably have a chance to drive in. Maybe 80 90 rounds here, but where he went was catastrophic. I mean it zip. It couldn't have happened. I don't know, but we want to end this on a positive note were always about positive stuff here, Injuries law and you know when you look back run, you've got to be proud of. You know your family coach Dan Your daughter, man. All your How many Three grandchildren now? Work for. Wow. They're they're just cool. Everybody congratulate. You've done something right? Julian's gonna be another major leaguer. I'm sure the little guy that's that's the positive. That's what you got to feel good about. It's true. I gotta tell you of, you know, obviously, uh The being restricted as we have been for so many months now. You know, everybody handles a little differently. And I had a big reward with my my two grandkids that I got to see a lot of and still do that they have made they have made my day. Plenty of days during this time and We have our little stuff we do together, you know, have our stuff that we do one on one, and you know it. Zlenko. It's the way we play. It's the way we talk. You know, it's So much fun, and I'm so grateful. Yeah, that you know, there's there's just so much funny. Speaking of kids, your kids are coming up right now. "Single season home run record fine good times people coming together enjoying it just broke really the enjoyment of the game that's my generation that's what I remember and I wonder if I was spoiled because right after course we have the steroid issues we have a scandal we have Rafael Palmeiro pointing at everybody with the wispy moustache but see like saying that the the responsibility starts with him and it goes by the wayside and now I see baseball and I wonder for my son because baseball well it was my first love it hasn't continued to be my biggest love much like any love affair that you have when you're very very young those things tend to flame out you find somebody who you want to spend the rest your life with he's a sports fan obviously have other interests football's became my prime sport I love football I love the way the games played a love the intricacies that go into it even though I I will be the first to tell you I don't understand all the intricacies of it that's why when we interview football coaches and football players like especially quarterbacks I love to shut up and try to let them talk because we can learn more but baseball's the first baseball supposed to be innocent baseball supposed to remind us all about being five years old with that standing there on the plate the balls up on the T. keep the battle don't push that front foot out keep that front foot in here I'm gonna put a bad here because of you step too far up I'm gonna you're gonna step on the bet you're gonna fall over going to learn the lesson the hard way then when you start to picture a little bit afraid of a bond debts that senses don't be afraid of it don't be afraid don't bail out keep that shoulder up let's go the first sport you love and now as an adult I watch millionaires handle with billionaires over two hundred and three hundred million dollars and I'm told every single day that I'm supposed to understand what those millionaires are going to see my major problem my major anger with this is that through this I still have to look at the owner's side and say I don't want to trust you and I don't trust you and I don't want to be on your side but damn it when it comes to this I think I might have to I think I might have to be on your side you don't want more people there are more people that count on the owners there are more people who don't make millions quote unquote millions of dollars they've already taken their furloughs they've already taken their pay cuts they've already taken their layoffs they work in the sport of baseball and owners employ far more people than what the players will I want the players to get back to work I want baseball to get back because overall I think baseball is losing its recognize ability with a lot of the fans out there I think that baseball is losing what is made baseball leagues Major League Baseball is losing what made baseball sensational there are people still love little league baseball and people love high school in college baseball but Major League Baseball was supposed to be where it's at what I stood there at the plate in nineteen ninety one I should've wanted to be Jim told me I should have wanted to be Albert bell I should have wanted to be Ken Griffey junior that's the way things are supposed to work I stand there at the plate and I'm supposed to imagine that I'm somebody else for briefly a moment for other generations it's Mickey mantle of Brooks Robinson that's what it's supposed to be and little by little day by day that starts to go away where we can disagree with each other on so many things like I highlighted at the very beginning of this but we seem to agree on one thing in particular as Americans that we look at sports and we look at baseball in general and see how could you guys do this over this amount of money how could you do it because I gotta tell you folks I find little sympathy and I've been told all week long I got into a huge argument about it on Monday morning it and I was told that can't you can't see it the way the players see it if you made that amount of money you wouldn't stay home with your family if you could you have probably I would probably I would but there's a lot of people out there with that message doesn't resonate on them most of the people listening to this if there are any that doesn't resonate with them they couldn't do it when the pandemic first if they could do over the first time in their lives their government had to tell them that they had to stay home but then the boss called up because I have the sheet here that says your a social worker put on a mask put on some gloves we'll see you tomorrow morning at six AM they didn't have a choice they didn't and for the players that do have a choice which by the way not all of them do there's a lot of players that just because they made more money it's the old adage if you make more money a bigger money means bigger bills a lot of them they're probably with the same problems you do their house is is probably six seven thousand square feet more but they have the same thing that you do they have to be the same bills the same demands that you do that's right but there's a lot of players were kind of going I mean I can get a six month little thing here but I got to really get going because I got a I got a house I can take care of it Kerr notes that I gotta pay on I got parents houses I gotta pay on and the way I I I really didn't see any this coming just like the rest of us here but boy we got this players union that even though they said that they're done they said that they're done fighting over this they've come back with a counter negotiation.

"College basketball dollars to you on the back told network and on FS one Casey we appreciate the time are you doing today ma'am I'm doing fantastic guys and and people have accused me of a lot of things but taking steroids definitely was not one of them so I was clean my plate was just get that on the record well we start thank you write that down and better than ever to easily I got a we don't want our Rafael Palmeiro automatic go wait a minute many were you said you didn't do that but we we believe you for now no man so what's going on with the conference this year they'd seems to be a watch can save one to time I'm starting to get a big the hoops again now the football season there but I watch I watch enough it seems a lot deeper like I don't know if the top bands any better might be but I know the bottom is a lot better the bottom seems to be able to lock up these top teams it it didn't surprise me that much yeah that better times the bottom is so much better than it was last year the middle is also better young member last year Washington won the conference there had a record of fifteen and three they won the conference by two or maybe even three games I I can't really recall but this year it is a race and it's going to be a race to the finish I mean I I would argue that Oregon has the highest potential right now Colorado is number one they have two really good players that are both upper class and in time you know it as much as anybody in college basketball specially now if you have older veteran guys who are are talented but also just been through that struggle before you're you're in better hands and that's why your alma mater Arizona wall talented is really strong because their best three players are freshmen remember the first time that they've ever played on the road in Tempe at the first time they've ever played any of these teams before so yes but to go back to the original question no the pac twelve is leaps and bounds better than it was last year and add that to the fact that the ACC which is typically the best conference in America is having one of its worst years on a record I mean there they might be lucky to get four teams in the tournament and ours same with the SEC so I think the pac twelve can cash in on the fact that the agency in the essence we aren't nearly as good as they have been and tackled might be able to get five it'll be a stretch of they get sixteen them but a lot better than the three teams that they've got the last two years in a row you know you know what's funny is that it Arizona over the last I don't know five six seven eight nine ten years it seems like Casey has had toughness they've always been really tough son Miller brought that or from Xavier and they've always been top of maybe not super skilled like they were great it's a great shooting team or if they just didn't have the skill believe it is get into here this year's team seems completely opposite of that like I don't know if they're using the latest ponton they want this to soften it is that we're gonna be more physical than you and we're gonna we're gonna win that way because I I look at in this your Casey they have skill may Manion super skilled Nagy is skilled green is skilled I mean they have guys those are freshmen the kind of come and go in that hurts a little bit too but I don't know if I see the toughness that I've seen from Arizona in the past yeah and that's what you feel exposed I wouldn't say that this era zona team is soft no I would say that but yeah but but what usually did was play a real physical against not she they meet every charge that he had difficulty with three for ten or former tenant were one of his worst shooting performance of it would get credit the Cody Riley in jail until you see always begs for working all night but you are Arizona can't make perimeter shot either there really struggling to shoot and you know it in college basketball or an MBA Basil doesn't matter what level back what you can't spread the floor it's going to be a tough log in the half court and that's what it is and you mention Niko man in I really like me go use you go you can't teach which is great vision and the all the point guard position the quickness but let's be very honest his shooting has been below average this year and one thing I've noticed is he takes way too many threes off the dribble time you walk out were yours and not for up close and personal to know that unless your name is Steph curry Damian Lillard or James harden you are not going to be a better and more efficient sure shooting up about you're going to be better off the catch and it's something the nickel Manion has it really understood I think he's looking to shoot threes off the bounce rather than all I'll be Arizona schools your flight Arizona state is coming on strong they won five of their last six games including a a come from behind victory against Arizona last week and Arizona state is confident their group that like they're led by remarking they're coming in with lag that's the opposite of what Stanford going through right now they're lost Oscar itself there's no official word on whether or not he's going to play tonight but after the fall that he had where he split his head open with knocked unconscious for for what seemed like a long time couple minutes I don't think you'll play tonight here's their leading scorer leading rebounder and we just talked about Arizona will stand for their next two best players are freshmen Tyrrel Terry and Spencer Jones so you're you're asking if you're putting a lot on the shoulders of the freshmen to carry them in the most difficult and most crucial week of their season and so it's not that they're not capable this is I've never seen them do that they've never been put in that situation before so and then the other key one image was was U. S. C. I think USC is as talented as any roster in the tackle that include Arizona that includes Oregon but they are all over the map and here's a number for you Amy and build web believe in this six year the head coach for USC they are eighteen and forty when it comes to February first and on in the last two months of their season over the last six years they're eighteen and forty I just find that mind boggling I don't know whose fault it is it can't all just be the coach is gonna be the player through but something weird is going on at U. S. use of young their camp I don't I don't know they just get tired of each other after a long season or what but they got to figure out a way to Buck that trend or they're going to be on the outside looking in I mean you would think that you know over the years the players would change so you wouldn't have that consistency of be operable from February first on it that is definitely not state we're in some pac twelve college basketball knowledge from Casey Jacobsen is joining us here on the only gas line all of the pac twelve on display tonight of the top game the top two teams Colorado in Oregon the only two ranked teams in the pac twelve so Casey is people start to think about their brackets in trying to you know find a team that maybe no one knows about that could make a little noise in the tournament people start to handicap and we know that guard play is very important in the tournament which of the teams have a chance to make that impacts will have that guard plays at the obvious ones organ in Colorado or is it other teams that are that are not as ranked or not rank like those two well yeah I mean yeah I still think Oregon have the highest ceiling they've had a high ceiling collapse what what like five years last year they were horrible then they go on a ten game winning streak that you know started at the end of the pac twelve regular season that could do you know the pac twelve tournament they have a really good back court there led by a you know player of the year candidate in Peyton Pritchard is a senior right but they also have will Richardson a lefty guard that that really kind of supports them and Chris door panel if you guys know him the junior college transfers the junior college national player of the year last year he was recruited by basically everybody in the nation Oregon gets and he's turned out to be a fantastic player still junior to three come back they have built best back court like they're the most dangerous and all of it all the time experience with your ticket it's mostly the junior college player last year they are there more athletic they're better but Oregon hasn't been able to solve their front court issues so yeah I believe that you need to get back or to win in the end you doubly Turner but it can't just all all your back court in sorgen gotta get it right up front what they're probably the one team to me that would make sense to make a deep run again I think you I think USC's roster it begs for you know deep run in the tournament but I just can't trust them I I don't know what you're going to show up so I'm not a ton of of candidates to be honest out of the pac twelve that I that I would trust to to make a deep run but I just wanna see some pack will turn team to get in there get a chance I wanna see mile marker guys are you aware that Stanford is only made one NC double a tournament last eleven years I mean come on man I'm starving out here I got to see some cardinals what but without an antenna the unit I gotta I gotta have it to the end then embed he's not that bad case all while right now there's I let me ask about Washington because the team that has a man be a pallet on that team like pretty high end NBA talent if I remember correctly they're one of the few teams it is beaten Baylor this season what the hell happened to them I mean how did they just they like ran right into the side of a mountain yeah so they are the only team is being Baylor by the way Baylor the number one thing that comes to it okay you're watching the second game of the year out that game was played Alaska you guys know what happens in Alaska stays in Alaska yes I know I but so what wash your issue Tom is they lost their starting point guard quad a green okay academic academic ineligible for the rest of the season and so that that that happened I believe the third game of pac twelve play and since then they've just been lost in the woods you mentioned there there too NBA caliber players J. McDaniel the freshman six nine wing and I say a Stewart who are both projected to be in the top twenty in the draft Europe find even more interesting I don't know if you or or your listeners know about this but if you look at most draft boards most of the players in college that are projected to be in the top twenty or either on college teams that will better either on the bubble or not going to make you determine at all and then a group Anthony Edwards top three talent for Georgia right now George is terrible is it because it's these guys playing low efficiency basketball there so yeah what James Wiseman quit his team at Memphis like two months ago just stopped playing the monoplane always projected as a top two pick I think if you're one of those guys Washington you know bottoms they are literally the last place team the pac twelve RJ Hampton playing in Australia call ME just return for for North Carolina North Carolina not even close to making the turn as such I find it interesting that you're gonna watch the NC double a tournament and you're not going to act like third teams that aren't going to be facing lottery picks like over the top and birthdate might be one of the only teams that have like a top five player playing in March which is just mind boggling if you think about the history the term it most national champions most final four teams have multiple NBA players that's not going to be the case this year there are teams that have multiple players that are gonna be in the NBA super wash and wash last place the fact well go figure I know your pac twelve guy but did you say you saw Saint Mary's just got taken out heart by again sag area I I I I thought conseguindo Casey I didn't think they would lose I don't think they'd run him off the floor by thirty what is in that you know Saint Mary's again Randi's a they're a bubble team are they is that lost gonna stick with people because he got a lot of headlines are they gonna want it you know on the outside looking in and see to a wise because of that loss no no absolutely not alot who's gonna hurt my nose embarrassing a little bit they were down thirty at halftime welcome back is ranked number two behind Baylor number one but I think going back up a better team at a higher ceiling the Baylor I think of that you can make it strong case bag of the best in the.

"This whole thing is just arable for the game. Terrible and like it. It's making me I don't WanNa hate the Astros but I definitely want to boo them. Which is weird like I. It makes if anything this is good for baseball because it makes people want to watch the astros just so they can watch the Moose from now right and that's pretty good if you WanNa look on the positive side of the equation. That's pretty good. But you know the the interview with hand now the lawsuits coming out and this is going to be one of many. I promise you other players. They're going to do the same It just keeps getting messy man it keeps getting messy so I hope. There's a precedent sent with this right now and. I hope that he does breaks money. He kinda deserves it right. Yeah no I agree with you especially when you do have players coming forward and saying you know I I actually for this now. Borrowing Gonzalez was the most recent today and then of course more stuff is coming up about Carlos Beltran and y basically. He was losing his job with the mets as just another laundry list of resume of why should have gotten a job in the first place the but oh my God this is basically taking this whole situation of why I hated. Alex Rodriguez and still literally cringe at seeing Alex. Rodriguez to this day is now. Every player played on at Twenty Seventeen World Series Championship for the Houston Astros. It just reeks came and say yeah. It's weird because I was talking to a buddy of mine today. And he's a hardcore baseball fan and he's like I don't understand what the big deal is People signs the all the time which is true right. That's that's not offered to be an moreover there's not even like a rule against it. There's no written rule that says you are not allowed steel signs like if you're at second base that's why captors you know do the motions. They change assigned. I said it on this show before Adam that I've done it when I played high school baseball. Yeah a chance to relay something you happen to get insight to while you're in the course of playing a normal baseball game. Great relay if he can write. You're still even a frigging fifty fifty chance that the guy is hitting might not even understand what you're signing. Yes so some or might not be paying. Attention is baseball. There's a lot of lapses so but I think that's where the draw. The line in this whole situation is Adam is the fact that this is not due to normal of being on the field. This is all environmental stuff that happens to be in a modern major league baseball ballpark correct but they went above and beyond and using that data and crushing other teams. And I would just think that banging on the trash can is little frigging rude and insulting. Yes I mean. Don't get me wrong. It's clever very clever to to have these things and you know. Obviously it's something that no other team thought about which you know give credit. I guess to the Astros but for me. It's kind of like yes. Signed ceiling is not illegal but using technology especially like apparatus that excel these things and that you know pretty much eliminate any sort of delay. It's all in real time. That is illegal that there are written rules that say you cannot use technology. Look at the Yankees. They couldn't use a brick and I watch in the Dugout so that they got nailed for that rate. So you've got to get rid of them. Same thing with red sox you can't have tablets can have Laptops Kenneth owns can't have computers. You can't have any sort of TV monitor in the Doug our in the bullpen. You can't do it at. That is literally against rules baseball written rules of baseball and the this team spat in the face of that and to me. That's the issue right. That is a huge issue in for me this organization. I don't know that they've been punished enough. And there are more and more things coming out here and like. I said you're going to see more lawsuits you will. You will see more lawsuits from players. You will see other teams start to bitch about it and moreover dude if I'm the Yankees I'm pissed I M pissed. I am on the phone to day calling the front offices of MLB like the Grand Castle of MLB and say. Are you seeing this right now? This is bullshit like something more needs to be done and castle at this point. Man Travel Shays and everything. I'm just frigging hacking that wall because I think it's GonNa come crumbling down and they're going to have to do something more I think on the organization level. They did the right thing okay. They lost some draft picks and whatever. Yeah cut up in a little bit more but there is some serious ramifications there with those draft picks. They are getting screwed. The Major League baseball draft years for how they built this team to be. What the rat right now right. They built this team up that we currently are seeing mostly through the major league baseball draft. So that's all talent that's not coming into that pipeline anymore. Where I'm shocked is the fact that they gave players any kind of a mutiny at all in the midst of this conversation and still didn't give them a fricken fifteen game suspension or twenty thirty. Or even maybe the lifetime ban depending on who the hell's actually doing what you know but the fact that the way I see that doesn't do any suspending to anybody that was still on that team in two thousand seventeen throughout major league baseball right. Look what that does this fricken astros team. They're automatically a last place team pretty much with this whole year unless they go on the most ridiculous tirade of winning streaks after. Because what is going to do is that's fifteen games are already in the hole because they're not GonNa win with a double a level team and then it's going to completely jack up their forty man roster even for fifteen games. That's half they're team right now is on the two thousand seventeen team imagine. Hey move all those players around with minor league contracts and trying to double fucking options and Shipman. It'll be horrible. I understand that you can't just ban players outright this year because you're right like you're you're going to put a terrible product on the field you will and you know although there are other teams out there. Baltimore that have you know? I'm sorry I mean what you know that. Have terrible teams out there. That are pretty much putting up. Not even doubly talent. You have like single. A talent on the team trotting out their daily Yes but that's more of like by design or by shitty design this is like removing these players are going to be on purpose and you know due to a punishment So I don't WanNa say necessarily what I would do if I was the head of the snake here but at the same time more needs to be done and you know the the thing that gets me the most and we were talking about this off air. You know right now pete. Rose has a leg to stand on your legitimately. Does if ever before to me. This is the brightest light that Pete rose can hang on to get back in because dude for it like if I'm him I'm saying Yo players admittedly cheated it made it lied cheated and you gave them complete and utter immunity to anything. I came out and said yes I did this. It took me a while going wrong and send it in a book but still I came out and did this flip by back and forth but I'm owning up to it and you're still saying no no come on down the fact that he was cheating for his team to actually win right. I understand that the gambling thing because of the black sox scandal way back when is a very big stain on major league baseball even to literally by is yeah? It's ancient history. But this whole thing is just it's on such a ridiculous scale. This is a whole team up through their management buying through this and even though they're manager frigging admit to it on the MLB network thing the other day that was the literally the biggest garbage answer you could said there's literally right up there with pleading the fifth or any the steroids guys on Capitol Hill. Oh yeah if not worse because he basically said he did do it but go ahead and prove like Verduci did a great job with the interview and he's talking to Hinchey saying like did you use buzzers and he said the MLB did. An adequate investigation weren't above and beyond found nothing. That's not a no and I think I even tweeted that out like hinch. Just say no and you even said like it's because he can't or something like doing can't remember saying what I said in that tweet. This is sad. It's like well. I think I know the answer already. You just told Asia you could rub on it and Polish it. It's literally to save face that's premeditated. Precautionary Measure Ray. Because he knows there's like maybe a two percent to ten percent chance that he could come back and manage. It's possible right. He's got a service year suspension. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that he will manage or at least be a bench coach for some other team. It's possible race day. Rafael Palmeiro tried his comeback to an ad went. Like you know He. He's leaving the door open. You can't say no because if he says no and we're living in a time where evidence comes out and crazy ass fog and ways so you know someone has something right. There's an execution astro player right now. I'm just spitballing here. This isn't happening but imagine. There's an ex Houston Astro player right. Now that's super pissed as like yo Bro. I A- pictures of you guys wearing buzzers if you don't give me Xyz these are being released the media and something like that happens. It wouldn't surprise me at all right so he can't say no. I don't have These buzzers on under the jerseys. That never happened. He can't say that because if he does well guess what if something happens. He's he's guaranteed to never have a job again. Guaranteed hundred percent and but there's only so much political correctness that you can say and this still does reeks. It's just this isn't even dancing around the fire. This is he's in the fire. And the whole place is caving in. Don't worry everything is fine. It's the Animal House with Kevin Bacon. Screen it's fine. Don't worry about. It was put a bow on this like I. We got pretty heated. Obviously you and I are passionate baseball fan so like this. This does Kinda hit for me. Because in a way I'm sort of teetering that line of traditionalist and on traditionalist like I'd like to see the game move forward in relevant ways of times of two thousand twenty and whatnot. I'd like to see that while still maintaining its its beauty while still maintaining its historical context to itself when it comes to. This is just disgusts me. And you know roping back the Bulls singer. I do think he has a light stand on and it's pretty cool like a in a way for Bluejays Jays fans that you know he. He's doing this because of what happened to a game against the bluejays right. So that's sort of going to be an historical context from now and I think that's special. I think I think if if he can do this he deserves it. He deserves to make something out of this and if nothing else if he doesn't get any personal damages awarded to if nothing else to thirty one million dollars to charity that just shows you that is classic so for me go. Bolsinger like go all day. I hope you win this I. I just can't believe that that's even part of this whole thing. I didn't read that in too far into it and knowing that's a piece of this whole thing with him so you said there's nothing better you can get out of this situation he. He's obviously if he's that far off and not even in players shape or something right now at least taking this as a yes. I'm getting enough to cover what I should have made in two years. Maybe yeah then. He's getting this and it's that's where the the the financials will hurt. Somebody like the Houston Astros but in all reality singers. The right people and it's great. It's a win win. I just hope that does stick..

"Is giants baseball on the radio. The giants east coast road trip continues in Baltimore for the second time in the twenty third year of interleague play. The giants come to Camden Yards in Baltimore. It's been a long, long time the last time they were playing here. Barry Bonds and Rafael Palmeiro who each had over five hundred home runs in their careers at that time both Homer to the same game. Something that has not often been done. You had to go back to maize and Erin to see a game where that had happened before. I'm John Noah judge manager Bruce Bochy different times. Now this Baltimore team which has a proud history and whatnot. But they're in a full blown rebuilding. A new general manager new manager and, and you could look at this say who are these guys, maybe you could tell us, we know the guy who's hitting leadoff Hanser Alberta. We saw him in spring training with the giants. Yeah, we did. And it is the lineup that we've had to do a lot of work on last night. In today, just to get to know some of these guys some we do know have you mentioned Burto was with this appeared, as in spring training and try to put in through waivers Orioles claimed him in. He's pretty good year for leading into ninety nine killing lefthanders got it walked. So you know we have make pitches. He will expand fours but doing some damage with the bat the guy that's having a nice year for them. They got from the brewers as Velarde he can fly. So, you know, the first two guys will run some of the LARs more of true speed guy, but he helps set it up for maintaining who's had a good year for them. Nunez, is doing some damage anyway. Brockton from the Mets, you know, we saw him with the brewers. And he's a guy that will run to has some power tall guy. But anyway, to lineup been putting a runs up on the board. And the guy pitching cash ner who we've seen quite a big. Because we go back to San Diego in. He's still thrown a ball. Well, he's bumping ninety six at a change up. He's increase the usage of that. So basically pass fall change up, but has a slider and a curve ball. So he's a four pitch guy. All right. So cash a proven big league pitcher the giants going with drew Pomeranz. Tonight, we'll talk about. The giants went today's Boki continues..

"Points? Boom. Until they don't boom. Was a great looking at you. But it was very good emotion. I mean I took time to look at the people who stance, you know, you can tell when people are being real sincere. And does it was. Very eighty six World Series but he was a pretty good player. Leave it at that. There you go. Pretty good player. He was very good player. I don't even know you know all the baseball stuff not a hall of Famer. No, he was about three hundred hits shy of the three thousand that would have gotten him in. He he, he was one of these very good players. Are you telling you got twenty nine hundred you probably don't get in. No, you probably don't unless you've got four hundred bombs to go with it three thousand is the marker. That's the Mark. Okay, everybody but Rafael Palmeiro, and that does not change over time. That's there. No, that's there. And that's why baseball people of these numbers and their sacred their holiday hollow. And that's exactly why sir. That's fine. That's fine. I'm just asking the questions. But the life lesson they're is real man. I mean, he he owned up to it. The he took responsibility for it. There was a lapse. It was a mistake. It happened to him. Sorry it happened. He sorry. Let down the city and his teammates. He hopes to someday be able to, to rectify that in their minds. And the life lesson is you move on. The other live lesson stay down on the ball. No employer. The hobbled over to get in fry. Well, he should have been a life lesson. Lifeless less. It is. What are the relationships most important in life? Yes. God your spouse. Yes. Kids, your family, your real friends. They will help you through whatever it is. And those are the ones you're always really trying to impress the most because others will be very fickle. It's what have you done for me lately? It's all by performance. But the rest and what we should measure, as how good of a husband had data friend was the guy from all accounts. He was great. I saw a video of him being a great dad last night on the news doing what nothing to fall in between his legs. That's all you saw. Last night. That's just terrible. "His damn year. It was two thousand and patriots. Fill one. A Meyer you voting for the my right now, because I was like, dude, I catch the worst is history. No. It was two thousand not ninety nine I joined the beat ninety nine two thousand one second year. Yes. Thank you got twenty six dodge. The bullet there who finished third in two thousand David Wells. I, I don't think I voted for him third who finished fourth on number four was Andy Pettitte. I don't think vote for him third, and they would have been then you had Todd Jones from narrow Clemens was number six Clements, and machine at tied with Clinton's for six I can't believe what wells or pet maybe pet it. I'd like to find my ballot again. Anyway, the point is, it's very, you know, the big deal let everybody vote for everything, which is, I think an interesting part of, and I don't know your speaking in Beijing copes, you know early on what you're voting for you study. What for when did they tell you football? Let me tell you this in football. The NFL MVP award is only awarded to exalted group of NFL writers, you had to have been in. In a long time and the Associated Press kind of picked a panel. So it wasn't me. I didn't like I remember was the legend, IRA Miller was the car. He had the only NFL MVP boat in the bay area, and then certain guys like IRA around the country. So as an exalted group voted for now where we're at now with the blog is fear, and the and the every, I mean. I've talked to Raymond Ritter about this, but maybe it's become diluted through the years. Maybe it has. I mean it'd be honest guys. Do you guys have a huge problem with this all NBA team? I mean other than clay not getting his contract outside of Clayton. Yeah. They did a pretty good joint to get clay deserve a lot better. But outside of that. No more of it, right? And we're talking third team here where you're getting kind of selling for anybody voting for choice. I always like it. When coaches get a voice to give coaches vote, a vote in and let these guys determine you talking about being there, every day these guys agree with the game plan against like some of the best Allen, except they give managers the vote for gold glove and Cope's. This will be one of your favorites, one year, the managers just out of nowhere chose Rafael Palmeiro gold glove. At first, I believe he had played thirty nine games at first base that year. Right. So should never have coaches imagine things, going on there like they give it to their system. Go get raffia vote. You know, so you never know. But anyway, here's Claes reaction to the to the whole thing, because he this cost him thirty one million dollars. Over five years, six million dollars a year again. Do you even notice it at that point at the end notice it hasn't been around? Many Hollywood types with big money. Yeah. Do they notice seen forty million and thirty five million? Yeah, they do. Oh, yeah. They do. Yeah. For ego reasons, or for real life reasons, both ego, and when they wanna buy another house, or car another, how, you know, somebody their period, the different another house and the movie was supposed to gross you one hundred fifteen million it only grossed one hundred and ten mil. I'm pissed there you go. All right. Well, here's clay, he gets the word live here. Okay. About not making first second or third all NBA.

"There by by day. Frank robinson. You did not hear passed away yesterday. Murph our trading text yesterday talking about again, probably the most underrated player ever immerses Howard Bryant attacks him and says that. Hank? Aaron probably the most underrated which I it's a fine argument. That's okay. That's fine. But I think Frank Robinson a guy who retired. And Dave Dave look this up this morning ten thousand at bats. And he's the last guy to reach the ten thousand at bat plateau. Dave, yes, sir. There's a couple of inter close eight euro, I think jurors about eighty like you said ninety at bats away or bats. Come back. Pass. They're for Dave total, great, great knowledge or great memory there from last season. Probably right about this time right after we started doing the leadoff spot Rafael Palmeiro announced that he was working on a comeback. Right. How about that working on a comeback Rafael Palmeiro trying to get back into the hall of fame? But Frank Robinson does pass away a two thousand four career batting average twenty nine hundred hits. He might have tried to play one more season get that three thousand hit. But decided he was going to retire to become the first African American manager major league baseball history just a list of his credentials real quick fourteen time all star two time World Series champion and sixty six ended seventy he was in that World Series. Dave you and I were talking about it this morning, actually, sort of sort of a funny story. My dad yesterday bless bless, his heart. My dad not the sports fan. Not the baseball fan. I've told this story I actually last week. I think Dave I told the story about Burt camping areas that was at this. This Bobby bonds memorial golf tournament. Back to back years. My dad was hosting. This is like backyard barbecue type thing the night before the golf tournament. So it's all these former ballplayers told we'll we'll Clark I thought he was going to the hall of fame, and he laughed in my face. And he's he's not gonna go. But we'll Clark that that was funny that a kid who really hadn't seen a plane as prime was telling him he thought he'd be hall of favor told Bergkamp air Sam in the pine tar game. He said what pine tar game? And then the coolest moment. And I think I told you this what's Dave was I got to spend some time talking to Brooks Robinson and Brooks Robinson. Degrade third baseman signing baseballs, and I noticed he's signing balls left handed. I said what I thought you were right handy. Play third base better. And he said, well, I I've been left handed in everything my entire life except for playing baseball. I always felt like writing left meant that was my dominant hand, and it made it easier to snag balls with the with the glove on my left hand is a right handed fielder would feel balls left handed or with your with your hand being your your dominant hand is what he was saying the funny part about this is yesterday. My dad says to me text sends me a text, man. French route Frank Robinson passed away. Super sad, man. I heard and he said you still got any balls from him that were signed. And I went I I talk I've never met Frank, rob. I remember that. I would know that for sure. And he goes to all those all those golf tournament things. And I went off at all, dude. No, man. That's that's Brooks Robinson. And then he he gets the the any any any young African American kid knows when your dad turns it on. He turned it on. I mean, no, I know negro who who Frank Robinson is. Yeah, he dropped it on me. Dave he went. He went dad on me. And I said, no dad, you're you're mistaken, and then I had to show him evidence that there was no Ray Frank Robinson was at one of those things because he was a managing the Washington nationals at the time. And then my dad backed off. But we remember Frank Robinson today. We're told to the all star appearances gold glove award and fifty eight dude won the triple crown in nineteen sixty six won a World Series MVP that same beard, sixty six PM both leaks. How about that and MVP and both the National League. And the American League he's got his number retired by three different franchises the Cincinnati Reds. Baltimore orioles. And the Cleveland Indians. He's he's Dave. You gave me the note. He's one of two guys to have his number retired in baseball in three cities. Yes, sir. Neither one was a uh. A former teammate of his would be Nolan Ryan former teammate of his and also he was immortalized in the great movie bull Durham time. It seems like a bad trade part of baseball who can forget Frank Robinson Pappas for God's sake. Nicely done. Dave who could forget Frank Robinson for Milt Pappas, especially when Susan sarandon's reminding you early in the early in the did, you know, Dave. A a Catholic rosary has the same. Number of beads as stitches on a baseball would be one hundred and forty four a one forty four nicely done a manager of the year in one thousand nine hundred ninety manage the giants here for for three or four seasons. And then again, it's number retired in three cities in the reds hall of fame. The Orioles hall of fame, the Indians hall of fame, and who would have known that the Washington nationals had a ring of honor. He's in that too. And he's also in the McClements high school hall of fame over here in Oakland as their greatest athlete a local guy. So we pay and we remember Frank Robinson today a tough off season since the since the year ended for the giants. I mean, even even going back to last year losing Hank Greenwald, and then and then Willie McCovey, and then you get Peter McGowan. And now, I mean Frank Robinson. I wouldn't. But a part of the giants family go manage the teamdwayne Kuyper. Of course, talks about them all the time. Great story that kyp- is told I think a number of times, I really cool to get to see him manage for as long as he did Frank Robinson. Because he he managed the Expos from the time. They were the Expos. Up to when they became the nationals. And if you recall those last we'll see the last two seasons that the Expos were in existence. They played a portion of their games in San Juan Puerto Rico. Remember that they weren't selling out games in Montreal. So they played I only remember this day because AJ Brzezinski hit a big grand slam down in got in San Juan Puerto Rico. And then also there was a a random rain out at one point where the giants weren't going to go back to San wants to the last time the Expos came to San Francisco they played a one ticket doubleheader because the game was scheduled to be played in Puerto Rico. They put a one ticket doubleheader like a Saturday day-night doubleheader might have been a Twi night doubleheader against the Expos and giants ran Brett Tomko and Wayne Franklin out there. Anyway, you have Frank Robinson. Who was the manager of the of the Expos or the nationals at the time early on when the nationals were bad. And and Cape was telling a story about how I Robinson. If he told you to do something if he gave you a sign and anybody who plays baseball knows? Cardinal sin missing assign. You do not want to miss aside. You business. Most baseball managers or coaches can deal with the physical air. It's a mental air that is no excuse, right. That's what you work on being mentally tough in the game of baseball. He told the story about how Frank Robinson set him up to pinch hit or not pinch hit set him up to sack, but he said you'd better get that sack down. He gets up there and the pitcher decides he's going to pitch out because they're afraid the guy might take off from first base doesn't matter. If he's intentionally walking he's pitching out, you'd better get the bunt down guy goes to pitch out in type just throws his bad up. And and tries to get the bud down makes contact with the ball. Ball goes down gets the button-down down sacrifice gets back to the dugout. Fred Robson wouldn't even look at him. Didn't even make eye contact. He got up there and through his bat up to get a sack and Frank Robinson wouldn't even looked at him. All right. I'm glad we have this digression Dave nicely done there on the rejoin finding us some Frank Robinson sound and to come full circle. He played in that World Series. With Brooks Robinson that great play that Robinson makes backhanding up to third baseline incredible play. All right. We got our. Baseball fixing tomorrow ten AM fan fest oracle park. Broadcast will begin at nine AM on the main stage. I'll be with Marty from nine to eleven we'll have a series of players. And if you can't make it out if you're not going to be able to be there and you want to keep tabs on on what some of the players have got to say, we'll have far Zaidi's going to sit down with us talk about. Maybe we'll ask him a meeting with Bryce go. See a Gatorade guide was his hair. Looking good. Did we fit him for some orange and black? We'll talk to him about that. But if you can't make it out Camby are dot com and SF giants dot com. We'll have a live video stream. And then of course, we'll be on the air starting at nine AM Marty and myself nine AM to eleven tomorrow. And then followed by the rest of the candy are hosts, all right? "I'm sure there, you know. And I'm sure the guys that are doing a clean in the National Football League. You know, get bothered when they see something that's on and doing it. Maybe he's getting paid more. And maybe he's being more successful at the at the position. And no one's doing. So I get I get all that. But I think as a society, we watch football, we want to see the barbaric it. Now, we want to see the gladiators doing their thing. We wanna see guys. You know with the rippling muscles that are six five and can run a, you know, a four seven four doing all these things are basically like a moving locomotive but on a football field. Yeah. Taza? I don't I people say, well, if they do PD's pitfall they have to they have to make these guys are this guy. Six eight this to survive they have to and it's it's it's I I'm not saying, that's right. I know. What I'm saying? I think that's the way people look at it. Right. I think look at while if you need to do that to survive in that sport and make money it's barbaric here. Lying your body on the line. The football career is not all that long. So if you need to do that to survive, then you do it and as far as and you're right. And I agree and as far as the conversation again to stereotype, sports media and sports fans who we as a big giant community. That's the biggest double standard because it's pro sports and everybody not everybody's exaggerates. A lot of folks that we set about said about baseball. They stamp their feet about numbers. But I get your drift that they're, you know, the Babe Ruth numbers and the Joe DiMaggio guys. I Ted Williams. All these great amazing players from back in the day numbers mean something or meant something at one point in time. I don't I don't think they mean as much because he went through that era in which the record books got obliterated guys having, you know, look at the years that Sammy Sosa had look the Mark. Maguire had look at the years that Barry Bonds had Rafael Palmeiro, Manny Ramirez, go. I mean, you were having guys have an historic years doing stuff that nobody else a major league baseball done. Right. But guys also has its you know this. I mean, you're war a former professional athlete you guys were getting better. I mean, of course, more productive as they got older. They weren't they weren't naturally. Natural decline. They were not natural body at that time. I know for me, I don't want to speak for you. But I know at that time, you're talking what McGuire. And and and and so say, Barry man, it was really fun to be a baseball fan because baseball fan of the casual fan was watching more. I remember caught in store and certain like other games. Alway Maguire's is up. Let's see hits a home. You don't like it was like cutting the Cal Ripken. When he that was different that those type of college where right? It was called. Exciting. And it was a fun time to be baseless. It yet. Now short guys were not natural. And they were they were breaking the rules. I get it. But I'm just saying what the NFL it just it's funny to me that you know, it is that big huge double standard that we as a sports community sports fan and sports coverage community, we kind of like the NFL. These guys are all on the gas. That's kind of the entire term steroids. Right. Right. And and the question is why do you think that is a wanna ask you at eight five five two one four CBS eight five five two once you four two two seven as the conversation surrounds the MVP Super Bowl fifty three. Julian Edelman, why do they people would be so irate if this was baseball, and and not football. Why are people so? Okay. Well, it is what it is. When it comes to a football player. And with baseball players. It's a case of well. No, that's wrong. You can't be doing that want to hear from you eight five five two one two four two two seven. It's. The moose on a Tuesday.

"It is Commissioner is some sort of accountability for the officiating system, you have gone up where they failed miserably. And if I'm a New Orleans Saints fan famine NFL fan, I wanna know. Hey commission. What happened? Why did that go wrong? Why don't you acknowledge that a monumental mistake occurred in the ball game? And it's something that we as a league need to do a better job of. Fair's fair. And as I said, I'm on the morning. I'm gonna say it again now. You will see as a direct result of what happened in the NFC title game? Pass interference become a reviewable play. Maybe as soon as next year. Should. You can mistakes like that. Changes legacies. Influences games. I'm telling you if I were down in New Orleans and our state fan. There's no chance that would have slept the last four or five days. I'd be beside myself. I mean, there's a guy who had a twelve to one ticket on saints. I've still beside myself. Gotta do better. Got to be better. Ranch will go to the game. The Rams have had any moralist season. Sean McVeigh golf girly day defensive line. Hats off great year that called goes away the New Orleans Saints, which should've. Is that they're playing the Super Bowl next time? That's tough to get over. I know Roger Goodell apology isn't going to change anything. But you'd like to see the most powerful man in the National Football League, show face and time across peanuts. Just saying I said to Rockaway Jesse up next on a foul Jesse. Don. Hey JJ. Normally, I enjoy your show quite a bit. You said two things last segment that broke. And you just sorta repeated one first of all review -able pass interference in any way. What happens to the same? Why is that within the last because it was within the last two minutes of the game to begin with, which means has shown pain couldn't have challenged that? Jesse that can't be review review will play in two minutes camp. No, it can't be because it was a non all what would Sean Payton talent? We're gonna have it inside a two minutes where a call that egregious. Could get looked at JJ. Imagine a system where is their overturning now or throwing flags from New York on plays that were done all could play the last two minutes. I'll be game for. Knack regis. I'm sorry. You need to do something about it. You're telling me you want to have more situations like that. No. Because the problem is with the play which I agree with your hundred percent, right? Made no impact on the game. But that play is not as absolutely never should have been overturned because we've always been told that you have to clear evidence. Well, now, you're gonna bring in a system were calls are buzz from New York. They look at it for two minutes, and then they say play on or they look at it for two minutes. And now, we're. Change in Seattle play where everybody's going. How the hell can you? Tell. I I think. System. That's intended to get rid of what happened to the same. But it doesn't. I don't think it works. I think they need to do something. I don't disagree with that for a minute. But what you're guesting would not change. What happened to the same? Also had a baseball point the one thing I would say Jesse when you had something that is that agree GIS that is that you know, glaring that influences a game the way that it did on Sunday. I don't know how necessarily will work. I don't know. If will be the thing where on third or fourth down play. You look at it. Or, you know, if it's a pass interference situation here, or if it's review Abol, there's the system in place, whatever they beat Jesse right now. But they gotta do better period. They have to do better. I get it. I get it. But if you remember the end of the jets Packers game the last. That game would have been three hours with a number of. No, I get it. I'd rather that. And I'd rather take more time in these games than to have a situation like the one on Sunday with the wrong team ends up wanting the ballgame. I I I'm I'm in agreement with you. Everybody wants the result, it'd become right? I just don't know. How you do it? Second of all on baseball. I I have a really big problem with you saying Flemington bombs or hall of famers before they even took steroids. I know you're looking at their careers looking at the numbers that they both had and saying, okay, here's when they started. But in reality, we don't know when they started McGuire was probably doing it in the mid nineties. We have no idea if bonds was doing it during history MVP's to me, you can't say well these guys were hall of famers. Prior to steroids because. Idea. And if you're gonna let those steroid guides in fine, forget about Iraq, forget about bones and Clements their numbers all out what he was the guy like Rafael Palmeiro who is holy numbers all day. But it's a steroid guy too. Does he get into the hall of fame ballot? So I don't know what would happen as far as veterans committee or whatnot. But Rafael Palmeiro is off the ballot. You bring up a fair point as far as. Exactly knowing when a particular player was on or not. But his way I judge it. We'll get the numbers Roger Clemens in the late nineteen eighty s with the Boston Red Sox was twig strong smoke was one of multiple Cy youngs dropped off with the Boston Red Sox. Then all of a sudden goes to Toronto member the Red Sox said Sinar, you're not good. We don't believe in you anymore by. Because Toronto wins back to back seance. Analysts ridiculously jacked in the process that we can kind of connect the dots. A little bit. Barry Bonds goes from being kind of a tall skinny type guy hit for power when MVP's at pirates having similar body type with San Francisco, and then all of a sudden continuing to get stronger power numbers continuing to increase. So I think we can find that pattern there at least with those two players. I think we can now I want to go back to something you were saying about the Pesident appearance because I understand the argument that some will make is if. We make pass interference reviewable whether it's via coach's challenge. Whether it's the booth inside of two minutes that's gonna make these games four and a half five hours. These doll. That having..

So four hundred seventy nine of nine hundred ninety three did not get a hit off Marian Rivera. Those who have multiple home runs off more Rivera Miguel Cabrera to Aubrey huff too. Evan longoria to Edgar Martinez to and Rafael Palmeiro it to now does Rafael Palmeiro data. I think that's more interesting than Sosa because Rafy has three thousand hits and five hundred home runs. Yup. Mariano Rivera postseason ERA is point seven zero not one point seven zero which will be getting hall thing with that. Yeah. Point seven zero. He they're kind of funny.
