Dan Bongino: Do Not Panic
"So again tying this all together with the big takeaways from yesterday Don't panic I really don't want to monopolize the lines of the greatest broadcaster in the history of radio Rush Limbaugh and pretend they're mine They're not They're absolutely not That is Russia's thing I'm just in the spot but the rule there I hope I've appropriately footnoted it because I don't want to appear that I'm trying to steal his material I'm not But you even hear it in the commercial now with his new book That was his lesson than I have to agree today that if it was time to panic I would tell you and you know what There has been times to panic I may disagree with some other folks about when but there have been times hepatic but I don't think today is the horror show where he's painted out to be Listen it's not the day we wanted that day after election day I'm totally point stipulated get it your honor point stipulated the defense guy the white stipulate the point the defense concedes Okay But having said that it's just so extremely strong likelihood that we are going to win the house by a couple seats margin And having a few seats has its benefits Sometimes having a huge margin in the house isn't this beneficial as you think it is

"As well as The Daily Show prep. Subscribe at prager topia dot com. Hey everybody, Dennis prager here, but not exactly here. I'm actually on a plane to Alaska to give some speeches. So sitting in for me is a dear friend of many decades. And talk radio about as long as I am. So you'll enjoy Mark eisler, take it away, Mark. Did he really say decades? That makes me feel start with. Sean, you're not even a few decades old, right? Something like that. It's marked as the back with you again filling in for Dennis pregnant. I was wondering, was he going to give me an intro? Did I have to react to it? Did I say 14 years of doing this? Can you think of a better part time job? In my opinion, there were two unique people in radio. Rush Limbaugh, who could never be replaced with his entertainment and his political insight. And Dennis prager can also never be replaced with his unique and profound view on all the ultimate issues in life. So I never try. And I just give you my take on the issues, which I've been lucky enough to do. You know, Sean, it's going to be speaking a decade, two decades next year. And so I heard you're making me a big celebration big part of it, right? You got to see the way he said. Yeah. He said he's got a pinata. Oh, okay. That's terrific. And for all those years, I've had the same email address. Mark eisler at AOL dot com, MARK. ISL yard AOL dot com. It's gotten me in trouble, but only shot I think knows why and how. But that's how you get in touch with me. Or on Facebook at Mark eisler. That has created its own problems, as I say, and Facebook, you know, someday we hope to replace Facebook too. Isn't that's part of the left wing media, which what's his name Elon Musk may be purchasing Twitter right now he's having some second thoughts because of some fake accounts. What was the estimate? Do we know 50%? No, it can't be 50. 20% fake on Twitter. What was the estimate? I don't remember exactly what it was, but then it's not worth what he was about to pay for.

"Clay Travis and buck Sexton sound off Welcome in everybody to the clay Travis and buck Sexton show there is a lot going on and we'll be diving into all of it with you momentarily but we wanted to take a minute or two or more of course first year to have a moment of remembrance As one year ago today we lost the founding father of conservative talk radio Rush Limbaugh As he used to put it he was a man a legend a way of life Doing what he was born to do with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair The exercise is talent on loan from God for over three decades Before succumbing to stage four lung cancer last year a battle he fought right to the end Behind the golden EIB Mike Rush was larger than life in the radio universe but he also never wanted to make it about him He was truly focused on the conservative cause while also having more fun than any human being should be allowed to have Clay I remember when we were first told together That we would have the great honor and the great responsibility of just trying to take up the fight because we both knew right away we looked at each other and said there's no such thing as replacing rush Lombardi's the greatest that ever lived the greatest that will be in this medium of radio But I remember you looked at me and we said we're going to do our we're going to do our very best That's exactly right And I know we're going to talk to Catherine rush's widow here in a little bit on the show And over the months that we have been sitting behind a couple of pairs of golden microphones as you well said nobody can fill rush's shoes but hopefully each of us can fill one of them and that was the idea that Julie talbott who made the decision to put us in and had been working with rush for decades before doing such a fabulous job what she knew and what rush knew was the battles that he had been fighting Were only going to be accelerating in terms of their intensity And I know many of you out there listening right now Are thinking about every time you believe it can't get crazier It can't get wilder than it is right now over the past year it has And rush was maybe the foremost defender of American exceptionalism and the importance of America as a shining city on the hill In the history of media And he knew that the battles were going to go on long after he was gone and frankly buck You and I both know that the battles will go on long after we're gone too And what is important is that rush raised up a generation I'm sure you've met so many of these people in the ten months or so that we've been doing the show buck All over the country who say not only I listened for a long time but I'm impressed by people who said I started listening when I was a young kid and I grew up with rush I mean there are a lot of people listening to us right now in their 30s 40s and 50s 20s two who listened with their parents in the car who grew up who had rush as that constant voice in their ear and we know that those people out there one tremendously missing rush but also the battle's not stopping And that's why it was such an honor and a privilege for us to be bequeathed the opportunity to sit behind the golden microphone and talk to this audience that rush grew over the past three decades I'm in talk radio because of Rush Limbaugh and the amazing thing is that there are so many other people other hosts that folks listening this would know who publicly say the same thing privately say the same thing that rush was the one who made it feel so powerful important but so connected made it feel like you could gather together millions of like minded patriots conservatives Friends Every day listening all across the country There was something deeply special about that And I've always said Russian that sense was a force multiplier We're sitting here because of the empire of talk radio of course that he built but beyond that the movement that he really in so many ways was not the originator or the creator of a foremost general One of the guys who made such a difference for so many And so we do want to take time today to honor Russia's legacy and his memory on the one year anniversary of his passing we want to strive to honor that legacy by continuing to do what he would want us to do to pursue excellence to be happy warriors and to live life We've only got one as he would often remind all of us when you were listening you remember that Most of all to have fun and laugh you gotta never forget to laugh We've got a couple of special guests today including his wife Catherine as clay mentioned and fellow legendary broadcaster Sean Hannity and throughout the program you'll hear some familiar voices from family and former staff on the EIB But again we know that rush wouldn't just want all the attention to be on him he would want us to be happy warriors He would say there's too much work to be done So we'll make sure to bring you the issues of the day to today we'll try to make the complex understandable We're going to open the lines up as well if any of you have thoughts feelings you want to share about rush on the one year passing but clay we continue the mission Doing the best we can day in and day out to try to tell the folks what's going on So with that in mind we'll be going back to the legacy of rush throughout the program today But clay for right now on the news.

"I'm thinking today about that wonderful night in Greenville, South Carolina many years ago. I was a local host in the upstate of South Carolina. And I was working with a guy named rush castle. And rush was another colorful provocative, very popular talk show host for years, rush was in music or rush castle was in music radio in the upstate of South Carolina. And then he transitioned at my urging with the boss at the time to talk radio because rush castle was a great talker. And so rush castle and I were the local guys who brought we were on the station that brought Rush Limbaugh to the Greenville memorial auditorium for one of Russia's rush to excellence tours. Remember those? He was going around the country, arenas would come thousands of people would come to see him. In fact, the Greenville news, the local paper, covered Rush Limbaugh's appearance at the Greenville memorial auditorium by putting there were two little old ladies who protested Russia's appearance. There were thousands of people who came to see him rather than cover to the thousands who came to see him. The Greenville news carried the front page there were two ladies and a little kid outside with little pickets, picket signs, protesting Russia's arrival in the upstate. But anyway, it was a great evening, and after the event was over, rush invited rush castle and I to go back to Russia's hotel room at the Hyatt regency in downtown Greenville, and we ordered room service and rush and I listened to rush talk about what conservatives, what conservatism is, what his career was all about, the impact he had. And again, very humble. He was a humble guy. And it was one of the most memorable nights of my life. I'll never forget that. And sadly, we lost rush, of course. And rush castle. Who died unexpectedly of a heart attack a couple of years ago. And I'm thinking about that night and just thinking how much I miss my old friend rush castle. And my hero of talk radio Rush Limbaugh, picture me, fast forward from gravel South Carolina a few years later when I was hired in New York City to be the morning host at WABC in New York, which of course was Russia's flagship station. And I got to work down the hall from rush. And he was so kind and so normal and affable and loving and he was so generous to his staff, his team, kitty, and James golden and Kit Carson, the late Kit Carson, who was his chief of staff. Rush gave me words of encouragement because the radio station general manager. He wasn't all that high on me and they stuck me out in a cubby. I was in a little cubicle out in the hall and rush came by and told me that's exactly where they put me. They didn't want me either. There was a general manager named Fred, who didn't want rush there. He told him, you're never going to make it. You're a rube, you're from Missouri, you're Cape Girardeau. Nobody likes you. And rush would do his show and he'd go home to his little tiny apartment on the upper west side of Manhattan and wonder if he had made the right move. Boy, did he ever make the right move? And I just, I just miss his wisdom, his instincts..

"And reminders of our vulnerability. And we have seen growing evidence. That the dangers to our country can come not only across borders. But from violence that gathers within There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. But then there's disdainful poor ism. In their disregard for human life. In their determination to the file national symbols They are Children of the same foul spirit. And it is our continuing duty to confront them. It is the Martha Zoller show. That's what um President Bush said. And that's the complete quote. I didn't take it out of context. I could have played you the whole nine minutes, but I didn't want to do that. And a lot of people have projected. Democrats have projected that he was talking about January. 6th. Republicans have projected that he was bashing Trump. But I think I think in listening to that, and the whole speech what he was really projecting as his sadness Of how divided we become. You know, I can read it, and I'm not trying to straddle the fence. But I can read it both ways. I count on you to do that. Yeah, you can. Can't you what to straddle? The fans are really both read it both ways. You can't read it both ways and and and I tend to be of the opinion because he did not like Trump that there could be some undermining their Of the Trump presidency. For a variety of reasons, but at the same time when I look at not, but but what, and when I look at what the liberal media has come out and said about it, they've all touted it and Man That was a wonderful speech yada yada yada. You have to wonder. Were they? What was he George W. Bush? Was he trying to send a message? Um, inferring that this was because of Trump Now to your point earlier off the air. Um, was he referring to? He also referred to taking down the statues and all the stuff that happened the summer before. And the fact that the those those people were driven by the by the socialist and Marxist, the black lives matter, Marxist organization and others. And the Democrats that the Democrats, the Socialist Marxist never came out. Biden never said anything about it. Kamala Harris paid to get them out of jail. And those those sorts of things during that period of time. Martha and I have to. I have to say that's why I'm kind of on the fence about it. I can see it both ways. Not trying to avoid controversy here. No. And I I understand how people could see it both ways. Okay, Um, but I think we know George Bush well enough to know that he is not A person that gives speeches that are pretty clear in their meaning. I mean, he gives short to the point speeches. He has always done that, um and think of where he was. He was at Shanksville, where the people where they were remembering the people and Gordon, Um, felt who was head of the Um, Family Association for 93. I mean, he said, the most convicting thing of the whole morning where he said, um do we deserve the sacrifices that these people may On that morning. With the behavior that we've been exhibiting for the last Few years. Yeah, he and I don't care whether you're Democrat or Republican. I think that's a fair question. It is a fair question I want I want to believe what and I don't know who it was that said it that The Let's back up to Afghanistan for a moment. They said that the folks that Sacrificed their lives there over the last 20 years, did not sacrifice vice that in vain. President Bush said that that's right, because we have we have enjoyed Afraid, um, and then and safety Now how long that's going to last? We don't know. Now. I spent some time watching some other things. Um, Lisa Beamer. And and Caleb. I had a little glitch with my computer over here. So would you re send that text, please? Because because it's gone, so I can't read it, So I'm good, but I'm not that good anyway. Lisa Beamer spoke at her alma mater, Wheaton College, which is a religious college. She and Todd graduated from there. Then got married and she you want to give something You want to watch something that's real, and that wrenching even 20 years later, but how her testimony To how what got her through those days, and she lost her father at a young age. And so she always looked at her family life as we're complete, you know, we're not going to have that hole in our heart that That I did, and then Todd dies and she's like, how am I in this situation where the same things happening to me? That happened to my mother and siblings and She talked about how her faith got her through and that she knew Todd's faith. Got him through the reason why he was so resolute and calm. Is because he knew where he was going. He knew that in the scheme of things, even though it would be horrible to be separated from his family. That in the scheme of things is too short period of time. I mean, she's crying the people in the audience and correct I was crying. I mean, it was. It was the kind of thing we ought to be doing on 9 11. Yes, that's exactly right. And then need to be on the 20th anniversary. Only it needs to be on every anniversary. So are so our Children our grandchildren and generations to come will never Forget what we went through. You know, I I my, um have grandchildren. The oldest is eight. Okay, And so all of my kids did something to remember. But you know, age appropriate. I mean, Marc said, you know, James was very interested. He's almost eight. He was very interested in watching. You know, watching the stuff and he had a lot of questions. Lots of questions, and he was about the age. Suzanne was when this happened. So, um, I'm proud of how they handled all that moms and dads out there. You need to be a part of it. It's not surprising but interesting How the positive influence and ideas from talk radio leaders has resonated with the American people and has overshadowed those who were supposed to be national statesman for the people. That's what Russell said. I think that's right. Yeah, you know, I mean, if you really listen to talk radio Rush Limbaugh was never screamer. You know, he was an idea guy. He embraced it. That's what we try to be. And that text from whomever at that. Russell Russell. Thank you, Russell. One thing you said that made a lot of sense. They're supposed to be. National statesmen.

You acknowledge this. He's just and he used to acknowledge it in such a almost self effacing way he to say i'm just a guy on the radio. I'm just a guy on the radio. But he was so much more than that he was a guy that shaped american politics. He was the guy that defined what being a conservative was from behind a microphone. He was a guy that could talk policy. Make that complex policy understandable to millions of americans who within say you know what. That's what i believe. I'm with you. That's what i.

Cnn ever thought it was a good idea. And frankly i think they should force chris cuomo to either ask the hard questions now of his brother or giving the softball questions where we can all realize that. He's he really can't be objective never was objective with his brother. I mean i. I actually think that. Cnn should require chris global to do this but instead they're hiding behind corporate ethics. Kyle's well he can't interview the governor of new york their brothers. You're fine with the last year when he was given softball interviews but now that we've got this news suddenly. Oh he can't interview the governor their brothers that would be a conflict of interest. It's always been a conflict of interest. Well now put in there and watch him watch him ask the questions. Make him ask the questions but he didn't want to but he doesn't want to. Cnn's got a problem here. There's an objective problem. That cnn was willing to play brotherly love for ratings and now that suddenly it turns out. The audience was being played the whole time the audience was being played. It's a conflict of interest. It always was and again you know what it was. Guys like rush limbaugh who exposed the double standard in the media for so long. I heard somebody say earlier for for years. It was walter cronkite on. Cbs and he was the copiously fair. Journalists it turns out walter. Cronkite was a partisan democrat. Who helped democrats spin things to advance democrat agenda and along comes this guy on the radio rush. Limbaugh says these guys aren't fair. Here's the other side of the story. They're not telling you and the scales fell off people's eyes and they realized that you know what we've been had and the media hated rush limbaugh for it. They hated rush limbaugh for exposing the lies. They hated rush. Limbaugh for telling you the rest of the story. They hated rush. Limbaugh for putting a truth ahead of narrative the media had built up narratives and left out key facts that had you know the key facts. You would have thought something else in here. "Leaders who have pledged to honor our constitution and protect our nation to defend the truth. Defeat the lives but by the way, what is the things that you have to admit? Is that it is so ironic, don't you think? That Joe Biden is out there Speaking about the truth. He would know the truth of it. Knocked him upside the head. I mean, his entire campaign was based on a lie. Remember when he was always out there saying he and Kamila Harris, they're out there saying Oh, well, the reason why Biden is running Is because he wanted to restore the soul of the nation. It's a battle over the soul of the nation. And the reason why he decided to run was because he heard Donald Trump say the white supremacist were fine people. And that that never literally never happened. Not to mention Biden, Of course, the plagiarism king. So for him of all people to sit here and and talk about, you know the lies and the truth and all these Man. It is so rich for him to say. So now we had Alison comer Com Arado. That her name was income. Otto. I think that it's on CNN, asking Kate Bedingfield, the communications director for President Biden about retaliating against media outlets. That did not tout his agenda. Listen, there are truth and there are laws. Lies told for power and for profit, and I heard that as a direct shot at some of the media companies that lied about the election results. We know who they are. I mean, there there, you know, right wing cos some are more fringe than others At this point, Ishii I mean, she's got six righteous indignation. At that question. You know what you can hear the I roll. As she's asking the question, you know, talk about leading the witness from or I guess extremely not theirs. And so if they continue to engage in lies something that he is trying to combat. What is your communication strategy? Will you deny those networks and the interviews? I mean, what happens if they Revert to form immediately. Well, what? Look, What I could say about our communication strategy is we were committed to reaching every American. That's another thing you heard President Biden say in his inaugural yesterday he wants to. He called on all Americans to work together, and I can say as communications director, our focus is on making sure that we're reaching everybody. Now, obviously, if media companies are are willfully lying, or are not carrying forth, straightforward, honest information from the president when we make him available or from administration officials when you make them available, then, of course, that's something that we're going to think about it. We're gonna factor in So in other words, here's the thing is that you can have Story, and each side have has their own fax and each side will present their fax to promote a certain narrative. So in other words, if Biden is out there and he's going to say, well, this is what we're going to do about this problem. With that. Here's my question. If your fox news or if you're newsmax, or if you are talk radio Rush Limbaugh, whoever it is, will, then you're going to have your own opinion, and you're going to have your own facts to back up your own opinion. And so you've got the the official state is in our country of God, You've got Joe Biden's official policies and positions and facts to back up what he wants to do. And then other people who may be part of the quarter quote opposition party when they're gonna have their own solutions to the problems we have here in America. And so what? Kate Bedingfield is basically saying is that at least this is how I'm looking at. This is that if you go against the press release of Joe Biden Then you are going to be denied access. They're going to throw you out of the official White House press conferences. That's what they're going to do. And that is wrong. And I want to remind you that President Trump He worked with the media. Even if he was on the one hand saying, Well, you know you're the enemies of the state. You're the enemy of the American people. But at the same time he was answering their questions. I mean, who could forget the epic battles between Jim Acosta in President Trump, right? So if I'm going to interpret, would Kate Bedingfield? They're saying it seems to me like what she is saying is, you know what If somebody goes up against our press releases, then we're not going to allow them access. That's really worrisome. Especially when you look at the fawning of the media that we've seen over the last 24 hours. But our hope writ large is that we're going to be able to use all sorts of creative platforms that we're going to be able to reach out in all sorts of ways to meet people where they are we, you know, we love viewers who have CNN, but we also love viewers who don't watch CNN. People who are On who are online who are on Twitter who are on digital platforms. So we're going to think comprehensively about how we can make sure that everybody across the political spectrum and in all communities all across the country are hearing from President Biden from Vice President Harris and are hearing about the Biden agenda, so I don't know. Can you Can you hear that? Just I want you to listen to real closely. Do you hear that? What air who are Digital platforms, So we're going to think comprehensively about how that's the BS meter going off. That's what that is, as Kate Bedingfield continues to discuss how they're reaching out to the American people. When in reality, they're really not. They're really not now coming up next. I'm going to give you my two cents. It's going to be brief because I know that you've heard everybody's opinion. But I'm gonna give you my two cents on Joe Biden's inauguration speech yesterday and a whole lot more, including something that Biden has apparently done. To the Oval Office decor that even left me flabbergasted, and I expect very little, if nothing from Joe Biden. But wait till you hear what he's done with the Oval Office decor. It's all straight ahead on W..

"Here's some pull quotes. And all of those eight months 220 days, 5000 hours. What was the reaction of Democrats both elected and civilian, a thunderous silence. Not a word of appropriate or disapproval or condemnation of the Democrat riots in Democrat blue states and said he's not one word. Of disapproval or condemnation. Ah, thunderous silence. Because Democrats approve. Violent acting out riots as long as they support Democrat ideology in 2018. There were glowing stories about the hundreds of women's March members. Engaging in direct action to disrupt the Senate's Cavanaugh hearings. How about Shortly after the election, and 2016. How about all of those vagina had wearing women? All over the streets of this country Protest ng n and the Democrats were ecstatic and they were promoting it all. Women's March members engaging in this disruption of the Senate's capital hearings. They blocked hallways, they shouted down Senate members. They draped protest banners from balconies. Democrats cheered them on. As I was reading that paragraph, I reminded myself of the image of then Senator Jeff Flake and his petrified face as he was surrounded in a capital elevator by screaming, hysterical banshee women. No one in Congress even blanched over that attack, But you remember that Jeff Flake was assaulted by a bunch of Amazonian women. He was scared to death and he sought out Chris Coons of Delaware, and they got together and Jeff Flake abandoned Cavanaugh for another FBI investigation. Black lives matter. Rioters vandalized the Lincoln Memorial, the World War two memorial. They vandalize statues of Gandhi. Andrew Jackson. Democrat, House members proposed legislation. To protect these mobs. From law enforcement. Meanwhile, The black lives matter. Mob besieged the White House. Battled secret service personnel. Allegedly forced the evacuation of President Trump in his family to a bunker. And a bail fund backed by Senator Comey, Harris. The Biden campaign staffers focused on helping the rioters and looters get out of prison. Now is the Democrats expect to take power. They suddenly decide that rioting is bad when they've done nothing but support it. This entire past year. Title of Miss Swartz Keys, pieces Pearl clutches on parade and let's just recount some of the last eight months. Of rampaging criminality and violence. In many Democrat controlled cities in our country, all conducted by thugs belonging to groups like Black Lives matter and anti fur. Here's a short list of what they've done. They committed widespread arson, including burning down hundreds of minority on businesses in the Latino, Asian and black communities. Incinerated cars and burn down buildings, courthouses, police stations. They shot laser beams in the eyes of policemen. They assaulted civilians, resulting in 30 deaths and thousands of hospitalization. This is all things the Democrat Party supported. All of last year. They encouraged. They applauded these actions by Antifa and BLM. These rioters smashed plate glass windows of numerous businesses large and small. And then, after doing that, they loaded they stall and engaged in grand theft. They terrorized and then drag people out of restaurants. Toward down historic statues, including Those of black icons. They defaced streets and avenues with black lives Matters block long block lettered, yellow painted name. They terrorized the citizenry of entire neighborhoods and towns for months. They attacked people in locked cars in all of those eight months. 220 days, 5000 hours. What was the reaction of Democrats? Thunderous silence. Democrats didn't oppose any of this. They weren't worried about any of this. They weren't sounding any warning bells about the dangers of violence over any of this. They applauded this. All of last summer. Because it was in their honor all of this violence. All of these riots. All this acting out was to promote the Democrat agenda, So of course they were going to stand by. And supported. Meanwhile, Let's look at some of the president's activities at the same time, as all of this violence, sponsored by and applauded by Democrats was taking place. The president lowered taxes. Democrats hate that they've never voted for it. The president's policies boosted the economy to all time highs. President's policies elevated black employment to an all time high, which is Democrats really hate? The last thing you're supposed to do is actually make people's lives better. The Democrats claim only they can do it, but they never do. Trump did it for not just African Americans, but Latinos and women. The president's strengthened the military. He signed the first law ever to make cruelty to animals of federal felony. That's right up the left wing buttonhook. They signed right to try. The president signed right to try legislation allowing terminally ill patients to try experimental treatment that wasn't allowed before. President signed the first step Act Prison reform bill that freeze mostly black prisoners from unfair sentences, supported and strengthened Israel by moving her capital Jerusalem, giving Israel control over the Golan Heights. Supported the pro life movement, which Democrats hate more than anything. And that's just a smattering of some of the president's achievements for the American people. All of these other people engaging in violence and arson and destruction. Not one word of criticism by the Democrats. The most trusted name in talk radio. Rush Limbaugh on the EI Be network..
