"I'll buy the building because I want to feed the pigeons. Well, and look at the WABC radio story and you've got this great. It's a really interesting story. This doesn't happen very much in radio much less New York radio, but 9 70 sort of has this great partnership with WABC. You got Joe Piscopo doing your Sinatra show on the weekends. You're still on 9 70, as well as owning WABC and you're doing tremendous things with WABC. So kudos to you. And it's just really fun to watch, watch all the things that you're involved in. But I want to get your take. Let me get your political lens on for a minute. Last night, CNN held a town hall with president Trump. I thought it'd be a nightmare. I figured they were going to ambush him. It was going to not turn out well for him. John, could you have ever imagined that he would do as well as he did? Dominated the night, it was vintage Trump and a whole lot of people are saying, yep, he's back and he's back in a big way. Well, he's getting smarter and he did very well last night. He answered the questions beautifully. And you know what I said to Donald? I can say I shouldn't say it to the president. I know for you. You get to say that. And what most of us don't, what do you do? And I said, you could be better than Ronald Reagan. All you have to do is make sure you people like you. And the fact was I met the other comment opposite that with Ron DeSantis. I'd like Ron DeSantis as a person I think he does a good job as governor. But his communication skills are a zero. You know, he doesn't necessarily like people. DJT, Donald J Trump. Could be the best president America ever had. If he avoids just saying bad things about people, just tell people how good of a job you're gonna do. Instead of saying, you know, how bad the other people are. John, it feels like the whole country's talking about the town hall last night and Trump's performance. Do you think his good night makes it tougher to for desantis to emerge? It got even better this morning. The president was on with Sid Rosenberg this morning at 8 o'clock. Right. And the ratings were like double or triple with their normally are. Wow. And people just tuned in. People want to hear it because they know that President Biden is not doing a great job for our country. A lot of our allies. A lot of, look, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia hates The White House right now. We're losing Brazil. Well, losing election kina. We're going to lose the free world. One of the smartest guys out there, John Katz, and how far do you want to go is his book? Of course you can stream WABC and not often we talk about competitors in the radio market because I'm on a.m. 9 70 the answer, but again, there's this kind of neat alliance between the two stations WABC radio dot com and Friends with 9 70 answer and would all assail them communications. It's a great company, great leadership. And you know who's buying the book, by the way, or the grandfathers and fathers because they give it to their kids and grandkids because they want their kids and grandkids to be successful. Hey, man. And success is something that we should be triumphing, not attacking. You can get the book at Amazon anywhere books are sold. How far do you want to go lessons from a common sense billionaire? John, I've got dear Friends in my life, Jerry Crowley is one of them, Frank murano, others who just tell me so many stories about John catsimatidis who want an extraordinary guy you are. I hope you'll come back and visit with us again. I know how busy you are. Keep fighting the good fight and doing all the great work you're doing and thank you very much for taking some time out of your day. Keep fighting because we got to save America. And you know how I end my show every time? True. Justice and American way. Amen. And mine keep fighting the good fight and God bless America. It all goes hand in hand. Like 9 70 and WABC, I guess. Hey John, thank you for the God bless you. The great John Katz in the TV is joining us. He's an amazing guy. I'll buy the radio station and John catsimatidis has a new book that came out this year called how far do you want to go lessons from a common sense billionaire? And on weekends, if I don't have enough to do on weekends, I really get bored. I mean, I was down to, I was down to on Sunday afternoon, I was so bored. I wanted to go out. I went out and went to feed the pigeons. I love that. You know, all the talk show hosts in America are jealous of you because you get some of the biggest names you make headlines all the time. Jerry has dinner with me and says, John, a lot of people like you that want to hear you. You made a lot of good points when you're running for mayor. You should have your own radio show. So Jerry, put me on 9 70 in New York. And you know, you know, Jerry, nobody could say no to Jerry. I said, okay, I'll do an hour. Then it's two hours. Then it's three hours. That is four hours. And it didn't stop. And then the only time, the only time I yelled, he only time I yelled at Jerry, was the fact when W OR was sold and Jerry used to work that. And I said, Gary, why didn't you tell me either me or Mike blumberg with a boy? 'cause like one brother was on WOR all the time. Right. And it was so for $30 million. And he says, they never told me either. When WABC came along for Nichols and dimes, like 12 million, $13 million. Right. I didn't even do any due diligence. I just wrote the check and say, here's a check. Okay. And that's it. You know, that's where I am. And you talk about pigeons. The doorman, and the office building we're in. It was yelling, there were feeding the pigeons. So you know what I said to him? Looking to buy the building, and if we bite him down, I want to feed the pigeons. And if we buy the building, you're fired. I don't really fire him. I don't fire anybody. I don't want to really fire him, but it was a good joke..

But no, no, no. If you prefer mister Nicholson, I'm happy with that. No, I prefer. Okay. Very good. Adam, I'm sure you've been interviewed by many, and I hope you have because this book deserves wide distribution. But I bet that I'm one of the few radio talk show hosts or television commentators that have interviewed you who actually knows biblical Hebrew. So I come to the only one. Okay, normally the only one in the world. Do I call you mister prager? No, I've earned mister as a result of that. I think it's mister from now on. That would be a way, way ahead of me on that. That would be the first time, though, where the interviewer calls the guest by his first name at the interviewer gets called by a survey. What can you teach me, mister Blake? You're a good man. All right, you might not have please, please call me Dennis. In any event, so I come to this with tremendous interest, obviously. And I have I am always on the search. I have about ten different translations of the Bible in English. And I got to tell you, there are some that are somewhat more accurate at times. And I'm going to talk to you about that. But nothing approaches the King James version for the sense of majesty that the original does have.

California's Recall Election Is a Chance to End Cycle of Dysfunction
"I'm hugh hewitt. The california recall ballots are arriving in the mail this week. Voting will continue until september fourteenth the last three days while out in person voting. The elections should wrap up shortly after september fourteenth question one before the golden state's electorate should governor gavin newsom be recalled question to presents a list of forty six candidates who qualified for the ballot if a majority of votes cast on question. One are yes then. The leading vote getter among the forty six becomes governor. At least until the inauguration of whoever wins next year gubernatorial election. There is a small chance that either former republican congressman doug osi or republican state assemblyman. What Is Your Love Language?
"Let's talk about the love languages. Maybe you've heard of this concept. The five lovling. Just comes from dr gary chapman. He's american author. He's a pastor radio talk show host and he described five ways romantic partners express and receive love so the basic idea is that everyone gives and receives love differently but when we figure our language and our partners will better be able to communicate our love and strengthen our relationships and the cool thing is that gary chapman was a pastor so he was like seeing couples for like twenty five years. And that's how we pinpointed these and they make a lot of sense and in fact i've often recommended. Two couples figure your partners lovling which is like an easy way to jump. Start a more loving relationship. It's helped a lot of couples get through resentments and not going to solve all your problems. But it's really eye-opening and ever since i i learned about the love languages probably almost a decade ago. I think about it all the time. I think about it with people my life. It's not just lovers. I think about my own languages. I think about my employees. So it's really helpful so i just wanted to break it down for you so you understand it. So there's five ways of experiencing love and we want all of these. Don't get me wrong but we all tend to have one to two primary love languages for example one of them's gifts and sure i love getting a gift. But that's not my primary love language. And i just wanted to. You remember that we can express all the love languages and they're all important but what we're talking about here is finding out your primary love language. So what are the five languages. It's acts of service gift-giving physical touch quality time and words of affirmation

"One last thing because I find it amazing. Tampa Tampa Bay is no title town with the hockey team and National Football League Brady 43 years old, became the only want to say the first, he'll be the only at least for the rest of the century Toe have seven Seven World championship Super Bowl trophies brings seven out of 10 43 years old. He threw for only 201 yards, three touchdowns, but he earned his fifth Super Bowl M v P. His seventh ring is the Buccaneers beat up on the Kansas City Chiefs tonight. 31 29. For their first Super Bowl win since Jon Gruden let him in 20 or three. He has more title seven than any franchise in the National Football League. So just Tom Brady beats every franchise. Topping the 61 by the Steelers and by the Patriots. He also made history with his fifth M V P Award becoming on Lee. This is the only player with five number two is Joe Montana with three and Joe Montana in the 19 eighties, early 19 nineties. It was an idol of Tom Brady. And before the game, you may recall that had a little video of Tom Brady going to a 40 Niners game to watch Joe Montana played quarterback and when asked after the game are you coming back, he said, This team is world champions Forever. You can't take it away from us. He said. Quote. We're coming back. No question. And so what happened in Tampa Bay is that they put together almost an all Star team, a running back. From from Jacksonville, Unhappy wide receiver from Pittsburgh and then an incredible receiving corps. That really was. Maybe I like to have the experts. They're just think about this. What was this? The greatest receiving corps, with the growing showing up in the history of the National Football League? They had 45 incredible wide receivers, and they did what they did. With everyone saying, Let's face it, the Tom Brady the goat would lose to the current goat. What the current goat and the old all time go to the same person who is Tom Brady. And so I opened up in Las Vegas. I may talkto went on to read about this. They can't city chiefs are still the prohibitive favorites to win the Super Bowl next year. In Tampa Bay. His 11 to 1. But they put together a team of Rob Grand Kowski, maybe on a 111 year deal and also Leonard for Ned. And then throwing Antonio Brown and Gronkowski might have been the second place M V P. That guy, two touchdowns was unbelievable, Incredible stuff that we saw. It was. The game was billed as a changing of the guard between Tom Brady. And Patrick in my homes. I think you better hold up on that car wise gentleman That's gonna be a while And so he's got the ring. He's got the money's got everything. He's got a model wife. He's got great kids. Mother has recovered from breast cancer, and she's doing great. She looked a lot better this year than a couple years ago, and his father Seemingly is so proud of a son is any father would be. It's incredible to watch. The younger superstar is gonna have to wait a little bit because the goat is not willing to give up. Give up quite yet. So let's continue with more. One of them. One of the thoughts of mainstream media will not cover They cover irrelevance to an excess is what's happening in our major cities around the country. What's happening in the Chicago what's happening in Tampa? What's happening in Austin? And, of course, California the city's air unlivable and how let's face that at this point The Democratic policies have completely failed by any objective measurement. And no one speaks better about that thing. Kevin Jackson, and he's a radio talk show host and also an author does great, incredible job. Also laid on his way down the roof from Las Vegas. A couple of observations here. I heard a sports talk guy say. Left winger because all the sports talk guys are left wingers naturally. Heard him triumphantly talking about securing a vaccine. In South Jersey yesterday. And I thought to myself, okay if sports talk lefties in South jersey, or securing vaccines, then Com and order must be being restored. The Greater Philadelphia area. If If the talking head left wing sports talk shows in our community, you're getting vaccinated. Well. That's soon start to restore order amongst the Karen's and the panic. Ear's in our community or not. That's that's what we've been waiting for. Chris? Yes, the vaccine. In theory that's supposed to do it. He's gonna get vaccinated on my lefty friends excited. We're vax. We're getting vaccinated. But I mean seriously, if if a sports talk host is getting a vaccine that's got to mean that their pretty readily available true I was going to say yes. A Zafar is going through Who gets the vaccine? If they're already two sports talk host, then yes, because you can't get more bottom rung in a sports talk host on our radio station. So if he's getting it, then I should hope we've got all the important people taking care exactly on. I include myself in that when I say I'm not Don't misunderstand. I'm not elevating myself above sports talk host. I put myself in the same Strata there. That's the weird, you know. Radio talk show host. Generally, I think you know you'd be in five B. That's right is the category I hope we've taken. What I'm saying is, I hope all the elderly and infirm and you know, health care workers have all been taken care of First. I assume we've run through all those people if we're now Inoculating talk show hosts. I assume we've run through all the essentials which tells me then we're doing fine. Well. Look up today at the CNN death slash vaccine ticker. And it tells me where 35 million vaccines administered. And 26 million. Cases of Covina diagnosis for the CDC. So Uh, I s o. I would assume that means good news. I assume I assume that would calm people down, if, in fact that's what you're waiting for the vaccine, although Jen Masaki yesterday Let it out of the bag again. Don't get comfortable about this thing. Just because you get the vaccine doesn't mean you get to return to normal. No, sir. Don't you assume that just because you got the vaccine, That means Returning toe, some kind of Non social distant non mask existence. No way. What we're also trying to do is make our health and medical experts available to ensure people understand and I'll reiterated here today. It's not just a vaccine is obviously an incredible medical breakthrough on we want every American to have one, but even after bash, but that vaccinated social distancing Wearing master to meet going to be essential, and we'll need to continue communicating about that through health and medical experts. Now I called attention to this yesterday. And here's what left wing Twitter says. Oh, you idiots! You rubes! You knuckle draggers! Don't you know what she means? You see, we're all supposed to know what that means. Yeah. We're all supposed to be the urologist and epidemiologists and medical people were solved or are supposed to know how sophisticated people think about these things. Don't you know that means that he don't You know what she means by that? What does she mean by that Tell you because there's what Lefty Twitter says in response to that. Now, when I hear that When I get the vaccine. Look, I got a friend to get the vaccine and he You get mad about it? He said. I get the vaccine nephew Mask is off. I'm done. I'm done with all this. I got the vaccine. I'm done. Said, friend. I don't think you understand this game is not there. Not no, you're not. Yes, I am I said They're telling you mask on social distance vaccine or no If that, he says, I Okay. I'm just telling you that their game is you get the vaccine. You still got a social distance and And where the mask it Now, Lefty Twitter says, you idiot. You don't understand. You have to understand what that means. Okay, So what does that mean? Fast, Eddie. What is smart people understand about this that we don't? I have no idea because I don't know if the vaccine stops that. I don't know if the vaccine takes away symptoms. I don't know what the hell the vaccine does. Here's what they mean. Here's what I'm led to believe the smart people understand that we rubes don't understand. You see All of us have to have the vaccine in order for it to work. We have to continue to remain socially distant and wear masks until all of us are vaccinated. Don't you see? So what Jen Psaki may not have artfully included in her comments when she said she hopes that everyone will continue to stay socially distant and mask up even after being vaccinated is Of course, not Everyone will have had the vaccine yet. So until all of us have been vaccinated. It's very important that we continue to mask up in stay socially distant because we can still continue to transmit the virus to others. Even after we have been vaccinated. And while we With the vaccine may not ourselves, show symptoms or gets sick or as sick. With the virus. If we catch it after having the vaccine, we could still carry it to others who have yet to have the vaccine, thus making us hosts or carriers so Until we're sure that the population in mass Has been fully vaccinated. We must continue to mask up and stay socially distant. Don't you see that's the social contract and thus what she really meant to say, but maybe left some information out in short handedly saying After the vaccine, We must continue to socially distance and mask.

"Fun, though, and And play Well, Albert. No it Alberts. Frasier. They're bringing it back. They're reviving the hit sitcom. It was a a 11 seasons on the air 1993 04. You didn't watch a lot of Frasier, did you? Cause you're too young to my right? I was early teens. Oh, are you early teens during that time? OK, well, then this will be interesting to know how the early teens will watch Frasier there is that Frasier was a spin off. From another show. What was that show Bretz. Will Albert know it or not? I'm going to say yes. What do you think? Steve? Will Albert? No, it spin off. This is exactly the question I was going to give him and I think because that show made it into syndication and its subject matter. I'm going to give him he will know it. Come on. I also think he will know it. So we all think you will know it, Albert Albert Fraser, in which they are talking about bringing back re booting with Kelsey Grammer. It was a spin off from another show. What show was it? Do you know it right. So there's a lot of pressure on me here to get this right on you and and I do know it because my mom was a big fan of this show, and that's cheers. Yes. Here's his right. Nice job. Alright, well done. Sorry. Yeah, That is quite impressive, however, were not done, Albert. No, we are not that we're not Albert. Yeah. Turn up the heat, Albert. Frasier was a radio talk show host. He was a shrink therapist. So as a radio host, he had a producer. What was the name of Frazier's producer on the old show? Frasier. What was his radio show? Producers name will Albert? No, it I asked you breath, man. You know, I don't think Albert's gonna know that one because I could barely remember Steve, What do you think? If it's just the first name. I want to give him the first name. I don't know if he could get the whole name. I'd be extremely impressed if you got the whole name. Well, I don't think I knew that there was a last name. I think he won't get it. But what do you think? Do you really get or not? I'm not asking whether you'll be impressed. I'm asking whether I'll get it out the first man, I wouldn't give him that. I am that shitty. I think you will get the first thing. We'll get it. Okay, so bread things You won't Steve thinks he will. I think he won't Albert on the show, Frasier, there was a producer on his radio show. I'll give you a clue. It was a woman. Do you know it? What's her name? I'm no e I had in the back of my mind like I'm just gonna go with Albert. But you told me there was a woman. So that changed the whole thing. But no. Oh, well, uh, you get nothing. Okay,.

When I mention a Marine who's no longer in the service, but you know he's still once a marine, Always Marine. Yeah. How should I refer to him? Well, you know, I mean, look, non active. Sounds good. Rollo is just remind you He, you know, Ran the judge Judy Show the Dr Phil Show under him. Entertainment tonight. Rachel Ray, Rachel Ray, send him a fruit basket of Christmas. He knows the American public. And so, you know, messaging and politics is all messaging. Doesn't matter what your political philosophy is, in a way if you don't get the message out and communicated cleanly. Now, the message from Republicans in your latest piece that you've written for the hill. Is that they are victims, their victims in so many different ways. What do you mean? Well, I think it's one of the things that the GOP is struggling with in terms of their inheritance from Trump, One of Trump's big moves was to say I'm a victim. And all of my fault. We're all victims. It was a way of saying Hey, we are not responsible or accountable for anything because we're actually the victims here and B. It was a rallying cry. So we have these vague, powerful forces that are always arrayed against us. Whether we're in the White House or not. Control the senator Don't. We're always the victims, and that's what I think we're seeing today yet again, especially in this controversy about censorship that the right wing has brought up over the last couple of weeks. Yeah, The censorship thing is laughable is what you point out in your column. Yeah, There's a guy senator Josh Hollywood. I'm sure you and your listeners aware of he's a Republican from Missouri who sort of lead the Senate movement to throw out all the electoral college votes of Joe Biden. That led to the capital riot. He believes that he and other conservatives are being muzzled quote muzzled by the media. Now, the way I know that mark is that he said that in a front page op ed on the New York Post, one of the largest news outlet in the country. Then saw him a couple of times on Fox News Channel, the largest cable news channel, and he was talked about a lot by Rush Limbaugh, the largest radio talk show host in America team said the muzzle thing doesn't really work. Yeah, You know, it's funny. It's funny because, like in the eighties and nineties, that conservative movement would call Democrats, um people, the people who say that they're not treating, you know, I'm a victim. You know they used to make fun of Democrats is that they always saying that I'm a victim, and now it seems like they've kind of taken an adopted it for themselves. Yeah, but there was that whole thing of the liberals or snowflakes Right there over there. They're too fragile. And they seem to have gone the same way trying to copy Trump. I mean, but it was an older form of the conservative movement, and I think you're right Bread that was very different. What I point out in my column was conservatives have long felt, for instance, that the establishment media didn't really represent them. Well, right didn't care about their issues in the way that they cared about them. So they got busy and did something about it starting decades ago. And Rush Limbaugh came out of that push of Let's create our own media. Right now, 30 years on, they've made huge changes. So 30 years on Rush Limbaugh is the top radio host in the country. Eight other eight additional Conservative talk show host are in the top 20 and radio programming. The only one progressive radio In top 20. You've got Fox News. You have. Sinclair broadcast the largest TV station group in the country that leans right and does sort of conservative programming. And it goes on and on and on. From there. They have built an impressive Architecture of influence to the point where I think maybe you guys can tell me what you talked about on your show. But I think the issues that conservatives talk about That they care about, and their media gets much more attention than any other kind of meeting in the country these days. Yeah, It's really interesting. It's so it's such a It's Zeke Lever. You know, as usual, it's there's no sleight of hand here. Everything's happening in plain sight. I agree, and so so those that sort of generation of conservative says we said we're going to do something about it now isn't necessarily a good thing for this country. No But you have to, at least reluctantly admire the fact that they built something. They didn't just sit there and complain and say, What was May they built something that is now incredibly influential. With big, big people, not just the Limbaugh's of the world and the Sean Hannity's but Rupert Murdoch. His influence were is today. You have this right wing movement trying to deal with life Post Trump that takes on his his image, which is I'm a victim. I'm not responsible for anything. Don't hold me accountable and I will point other way I will distract And this censorship thing is the distraction. This is a world with me Distraction. Away from what the country really needs. What's really going on? Well, The other thing I would just point out is that this isn't a battle of political philosophies. So much now is it is a battle of fax and perverted science and a number of things that are so Positively awful for the society, particularly this moment in time that it becomes a zay say some sort of bigger problem. You know, it's not You always feel as though in the I always do anyway. In the In the battle of political philosophies and ideas in the battle of ideas. You know how to government govern what should be the right course. We can have reasonable disagreements. We can also have a reasonable discussion, and we can also come for the regional solutions. But the minute you start creating your own science, creating your own fact creating some backstory that Everyone is going to run with him, and he's always he's friend. Stories always been out there. But the notion that everybody's going to run with it many of the senators to whom you've referred or representatives to whom you referred, and many of the media outlets to which you refer they're running with those same stories. That's really scary. No. And that's the big debate going on now Mark, which is especially in the media, as well as in politics, But you have You have one side of politics, the conservative side the conservative media side, which is not really dealing in in facts. They're dealing really in in fantasy, and the censorship thing is just one thing. And I mean that. I mean you look at it. Closely and it's clearly not true. But if you say it often enough and loudly enough enough people will believe it, and that's sort of where they're stuck in a lot of this stuff. And there is no equivalent on the left. I'm sorry. I mean, MSNBC leans left. Yes, but they would Rachel Man Oh, sort of deals with facts every day. She puts her spin on it. No Andrea Martin, but agreement puts her spin on it. But their fax And the other side is not doing that on. This is this and this is another thing That's of that's part of the trump legacy. I'm going to, uh, going into fantasy land. Yeah. Yeah, And and unfortunately, it's picked up a lot of momenta. Ma'am, would you know about you know legislators in Congress who are you know? Who are on important committees who subscribe to these ridiculous notions..

"Good to talk with you again with these. Same with you guys. Hi, Paul. Hi, Pat. Lulu Way lost some people this weekend, so I wanted to take a couple of minutes. Tonto talk about them. One was Larry King and Larry King, of course, is known as a radio host is a newspaper columnist and as a television host. But he was a nine movies, Tim, You know I was. I looked him up when you mention that to me, and he's got 65 movie and TV credits on IMDb, mostly playing himself by 65. Yeah, and then what? 89 movies or something like you said, But I can't. Yeah, so he would he was in addition to being I think is a radio talk show host. I think there was nobody better than Larry King. He had Used to have, I think was in the late seventies, early eighties. He had this syndicated radio show that was broadcast all over the place. I think it started in, like, eight o'clock at night, but they gave him as much time as he needed to explore whatever subject he was exploring it Sometimes that's no. Sometimes that shall lease the Cleveland. Um, uh, affiliate carried it. Sometimes that show would go on to like one and two and three in the morning, and I remember I remember listening to what it was. There was nobody better than Larry King. I think later on on his TV stuff, he got a little you know, Pushy, You know, it was really good about him his broadcast. So there he is one of these people when I was interviewing somebody where he would be thinking something, and then Two seconds later, he'd asked the same thing you were thinking of. He's always thinking about the Lister or the V word is that a Paul and the other thing he could do is when somebody would call in, they would give. Ah they would ask a question, and sometimes they had trouble forming the right words. And it was round about and he could distill in like, I don't know, like eight words, What that person wanted to ask. I remember. He was so good at that. He would. Nobody could do it like that. So, Yeah. No, he was. Yeah, he was He was He was great in his time. Yeah, I never heard this radio program and I and I, and I never heard of anything like that, where they give you all the time. You need to cover a particular issue. Was it a Colin show? Was he taking calls from people call in show, but it was mostly an interview show. I remember what he remembered the time It went on to, like two or three. In the morning he was interviewing, Remember? Helen called the cop was. Yes, of course. Absolutely. Right. Well, she was again was his guest. And I guess she was supposed to be on for for an hour. She wound up being on for five hours. And it was one of those programs where you couldn't stop listening. But it depress the hell out of you because she was giving all these stats about nuclear proliferation. And it was in the eighties. I think it was she worked with Children and she saw you worked with. Yeah, Yeah, She was also insanely compelling speaker. I mean, you know She was really effective. But that was one of the shows. I remember. It just went on and on and on. And finally he was kind of Larry King was kind of exhausted. He just said, Well, I don't really want to think about this anymore. All right. Good night. Yeah. What startled me about, you know, he had everybody who was anybody on his television show and everybody wanted to be on his show. He actually told.

"Hired a quarterback coach today by the name of Brian Johnson. And he was there or get your for the Giants in the Stanford quarterback. Totally different guy guy. Shame. He was a quarterback on the Utah football team in like 2007 or 2000, and they beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. He was the quarterback, and he actually called the plays. And they finished number two in the country. So I was working in solid state at the time and running a station and doing a morning show and he graduated, and I offered him a gig as a radio talk show host. And after contemplating and doing a few shows, he decided this isn't for me, and he got into coaching so long story short. He was at Mississippi State. He coached Dak Prescott. He was the offensive coordinator Florida Florida most recently and then he just got out in the NFL. By the Eagles is their quarterback coach. Had he accepted that job that I had offered him in radio all those years ago, he would be starving still in eating Macarena, but he made a tremendous decision. Got into coaching, and now he's the quarterback coach of the Eagles, and he probably wouldn't take my call.

And if government is doing it that they work, 9 to 5. They're not gonna work the extra time. That's it. They're done. They're done. They work 9 to 5. "Sunday morning radio talk show Wdun radio in Chicago about goals and gold setting. And so I ask, you know if he would join us today on the program we can talk about, Maybe sort of no dust yourself off from 2020 and sort of getting 2021. Whether with a fresh start, Lynell What do you want to ask you about those goals from the same made last year when When Bob let me get this way. How long should you give yourself to achieve your goals? Let's put Let's start with that part of the conversation. Well, every go should have a time stamp on it is so as soon as you create the goal, you actually have the time frame that you gonna complete to go and And so if it doesn't have a time stamp, it's not ago. It's an intention. You know, I'll give you another example. Hey, I wanna lose £10. Well, that's an intention. But if I said I want to lose £10 by the end of March 2021 well, that that's a very clear Measure that could then be placed into the intended result for gold. By the way, if people know are more about goals, they could read My free eBook free. It's titled Player Goals. Five Tips for achieving any life go. They can download that for free at www dot slayer goals dot com, where they can learn more about this gold setting process. And it's interesting because I've always kind of jokingly said that work takes his longest is this time it takes as long as the deadline is, And if you give you if you don't give yourself a deadline to achieve something is probably not gonna happen. That's true. That's true, and I'll tell you even in my personal work. As an entrepreneur. I said it go to finish my day like them work for the day by one PM, and if I do that, then I'll reward myself in some some way and I'll tell you there are assignments and project that I'm working on that. I'm sometimes surprised that I finished so quickly, but I set the goal. I set the time frame and so I met that time frame and if we don't set a time frame well, Have friends who've been trying to lose the same £10 for the last 10 years on, Uh but she was my friend. You bring up an interesting question about the people we surround ourselves with, Like we said, we don't have friends who, like say No, but we're gonna lose £10. I'm gonna I'm gonna do this and do that. Or maybe some folks who aren't is maybe is positive or four thinking as you as you should be. Is it time to maybe let those people go? Or maybe you sort of re evaluate the nature of those relation with those folks who May not be as clear focus or maybe a sort of a hindrance to you achieving your goals. Well, you know, there's e think Jim Rohn said that you are the reflection or you are the sum total of the five people. You're closest to And I'll tell you I've seen that in my own life. Whether it's financial, whether it's spiritual, whether it's even health wise. I've seen that you know, for the people I hang around are relatively unhealthy and they drink a lot. I'm probably gonna drink more than I intend to. If the people I hang around are financially well off in I'm financially struggling. That's only gonna be a certain matter of time before. You know, I don't like the financial struggle would be asking questions about how do I become more financially successful like them? And so we tend to really reflect, reflect and become like the people were around I network isn't really important and I Save anyone who wants who wants to really, really transform themselves and begins to set in accomplish goals. You want to find a community of people where gold setting matters is one of the reasons I started to play goals, membership, um, and coaching community so that people could come together and And actually spend time with one another network. Hold each other accountable for the attainment of the things that are most important to them, and I'll tell you accountability is a critical, very critical part of the goal setting process when you're accountable to someone. You're more likely to reach there. Go now. I'm gonna ask you about that. How do we hold ourselves accountable? Yeah, well, I mean for me the way I hold myself accountable, a number of different ways. One my community, the people around me that I trust I let them know. Hey, here's what I'm up to. And this is what I'm looking to create in generating and check in with me on that. My wife is really good at that. I'm not know. You know how that goes. Um, um, but the other piece in terms of accountability is I'm a coach, but I have a coach, and so I'm in coaching conversations and I'm gonna tell You. I know coaching can be expensive, but it is by far from the best are I've experienced as a businessman in my life because I continually see things about my business, see things about myself and also receive accountability on my goals that matters me from my coach. And that is incredibly helpful In another thing that I talk about in the book that they can download for free. It's layer gold dot com is to find an intentional accountability partner. Maybe you can't afford a coach, but there is someone you trust, and it's critical that you trust them. It's critical that they want to see you win and let them know. Hey, you know, this is what I'm looking to create. And I'm just asking that you check in with me. Maybe once a week on where I am with things Because that level of accountability helps us remain focused on the goal that often people forget, and I say one of the reasons people will accomplish their goals because they simply forget them. Our guest in the program for a few more minutes is and Ella Harris and that was a life coach and entrepreneur, also a radio talk show host in Chicago. He and I kind of do some things on W and radio in the Big city, And so he's done. I guess they just can't talk about gold setting for 2021 Some change up little pub. One of you. What if your goals are necessarily material say it's not to lose weight or not to get your finances. But let's say it is. You know you're spiritually goals or your or your mental health. How do you? How do you do things in that area? Well, you file of the same process, you know, Like, for instance, you take a spiritual bowl and maybe you say, you know, I wanna be I wanna feel and be more connected to the Creator. By the end of the year. I wanna have in some ways a spiritually breakthrough of some sort. Well, very much like a weight loss. Goal. What we wanna quantify that. What do you mean? What kind of spiritual connection? Maybe maybe, you say, Well, I just want to experience the spiritually connection. When I pray. I wanna feel a deeper level of peace. Then we said Okay, well, let's begin to let's put a measure out. On that you will feel a deeper level of peace. That's evidence by something in your life. Maybe you're anxious person. And so it's evidence by a significant decrease in your anxiety. Maybe you find yourself depressed right now. And so a significant shift and your overall way of being and mental health and so those of ways that you can quantify those goals, the gold setting process. Is the same across the board. It's just what we're measuring begins to change when you take it to a level like purpose. When you take it to something like spirituality, or will you take it into something like mental health? You can set those goals and then on the backside, you begin to ask yourself. Okay, So if I want to, let's say I'm depressed, and I want experience new levels of bliss enjoyed by the end of the year. So what one do I need to do? And what I typically tell people with the work your way backwards, you know, so working away from okay, I'm happy at the end of the year. Well, how did I achieve that? And that will begin to give you a some ways. The how, right? Well, that means maybe I need to hire a therapist and begin to get into therapeutic conversations. That means that maybe I need to exercise a bit more. That means that maybe I need to begin watching what I eat. And if that has an impact on Marshall, Morning, my hormonal balance and how I feel. I mean, maybe I need to take more walks and when and meditate and so you begin to set in many ways, the milestones that you will accomplish over the year to get to that new way of being that new state of happiness and joy. All right. Well, I said, we covered a lot of quite a bit of ground today. Our guests on the program is having a good friend Lynell Harris. Lynell is life coach and entrepreneur, also author of Slave Girls. Until somebody wants to download a copy of your book. We're going to get that. They can go to slay your goals that come to download a copy of the book. And then if they're interested in more of what I'm saying, and how to become a.

"There is a couple of them. I know that you're cocky enough to say I'm going to vote for the hell for my liking. And I'm not gonna take anything else into consideration other than the formula I used to come up with it. I don't think that's what's gonna get Eli in if you like it's in. It's gonna be for two days. The two days that he beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl you're gonna get is gonna get a nod off two games. I would not vote in that manner. But if he does, I guarantee you. That's the reason why gets it. Yeah, I just think you know. Look at it like this. You can't have 10 valedictorians. And so when people keep saying all of these numbers and look at these numbers, well, the Games teams so if Alex Smith would have gotten hurt He would have been on pace to possibly throw for 50,000 yards, too. You know, And for me, you can't tell me Alex Smith before he gets hurt If you get 50,000 yards, all you got to do is win the Super Bowl. You didn't say no, No, I appreciate the car. Thank you much for your opinion. That's one of the reasons why I would actually give Eli some consideration. I'm still Tony wouldn't get my boat. But when someone made the argument for Eli and he stood up there and said And oh, by the way, the guy took every single snap. He never got hurt. I know it's hard to tell end of his stay in New York, the Giants offensive line would switch keys. Ah, lot of times you played behind very good giant offensive line, sometimes behind okay at best top and and sometimes behind terrible offensive lines. Eli Manning answered the bell every single year, every single play. I'm not going to then hold it against him and say, Well, he always had a chance to compile those numbers and stats because he was always in the game. He never got hurt. No, that's what you want is a quarterback who doesn't get hurt. I give him credit for that. But the other argument you made the winds and losses as many losing seasons is winning seasons except for his two Super Bowl years for straight one and outs in the postseason. Yeah, There's stands. Plenty of reasoning. Why Eli Manning could be it left on the outside Looking in for a Super Bowl, baby Jane, Alaska's up on CBS Sports radio. What do you say Jake? No. J took a dive on me. David, Pennsylvania's up on CBS Sports radio aid or Right gave. Hey, Dad, I'm a first time caller. Long time listener. First time went by, Uh, I love your show if I had a ballot to vote for Hall of Fame. I'm not talking about quarterback and I'm talking about radio talk show host. I'd both for you. I just I swear to God, I really would. But I just think that I think the world I grew up in the time. The first, uh Super Bowl I watch was Joe name is on the Jets. And Yeah, how they beat the powerful Baltimore Colts at the time, and I just want to give you my intake. Oh, there's no comparison. I say. In my opinion, I saw all these guys since I was a kid. I was I'm trying to exactly how old I was 60 years old now, So I think I was about nine or someone, Joe. It's It's one. But, uh, I'll tell you I've seen it all since that time. And I'm in my opinion, Joe name. It is the best quarterback of all time. And I won't explain why. Please hear me out. And then dazed. The defense's really killed. You know the offenses. They slapped helmets. You got clothes line. I mean, that don't happen today, Jody. You know that? And look what you're really all you know what happened to him? All the operations all with the knees and you know all he went through If he didn't go through that, I think you would have broke all our records passing and everything right? But as I would just say you about Eli Manning. That's a positive I'm not going to use that is a negative because he was able to compile stats because he never got hurt. Well, that's your job. Now it's It's kind of bad luck when it happens to somebody and I have serious injuries. And I think you should know for a fact that, um, they could've potentially Dunmore, but they didn't At the end of day. You don't you didn't If you couldn't play you couldn't get in the game. You word. I'm.

"That stuff and By the time Time It was all said and done. There was a sea of humanity there. And, um we were You know, we were We were saying we way made we now listen to us. And that was the last I saw. I don't know how those people got in that building. I don't know who those people were. I don't know who they are. Um, but I'm a trump supporter, and there's a lot of people there. I was in the people and I'm pretty. I'm pretty sure Um, I couldn't tell you. You couldn't tell me who? The guy next to me if he was anti Evo or Trump supporter, or Joe blow, Who cares? So now we're there. Now. What's the What's the mood there tonight? Because a curfew is in effect. We see that people haven't left yet. I'm watching some of the images. Right now, Um, what is the mood like? Do you do you get the sense that there could be more trouble now that nightfall has descended upon the capital? Or does it seem like people are listening to the message being sent by Republicans, Democrats, the president just about everyone to head home. Yes. So that's what that's what I did, and that's what I was in. The people were doing when I left. I left, probably around 3 34 o'clock. Um After being in into the capital after are not into the building capital. But in the end of the front, part of the stairs and stuff like that. And the last time I saw there was 10,030 30,000 people Right around there and hundreds of thousands in the pool area and in the long that's right outside there. Um And oh, the whole day was like a party. I mean, I'm watching my country fall apart. And some people were serious about it. I mean, we're all concerned about it this rarely, but when we marched to the Capitol, we were telling them you need to. You need to start listening us. We think we the people we were screaming we the people to the capital going and there's those guys flett. Congress fled. And so well, CASS. What? You're not listening. So, Yeah, For the most part, we were all, um Happy. We're not happy, but we're trying to show send a message. And when I mean, besides, besides the altercation with the D C. Police An initial area. We're We're still singing the national anthem man so Final question for you. Real quick time. One last question for you real quick. There was a woman who was shot and killed inside the U. S capitol during all of this. Did you hear any gunshots or anything like that? When you were there? I've never had a single gunshot. And When I was walking back out of there, I some. There was a rumor someone I said Hey, did you hear someone just got shot. Listen, I hunt all right. I'm I've been around firearms before. I didn't. I didn't hear it. Don't I mean, the only thing that I heard pop was the tear gassed in the flash bangs with the D C. Police did to us initially. So if that happened inside that happened inside. Perhaps I might not have been able to hear it because I was not inside, but no, I never heard those gunshots. No. All right. Well, thank you so much for the time. Ty really appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your story. Why You're there What you experienced and Kelly, I definitely want to check back in with you in the next hour and get a sense as to what you saw. What? You heard what you experienced up, but at the moment you're safe and not in harm's way. Correct. No, And I'm gonna add to that because it's you know, he was literally on the front lines. I was on the complete backside of everything walking up after the fact. Um, to see people on the lawn stretched out on the steps. I hear they're so people there now. Is that right? I mean, again. We're on our way home. Yes. So there was no point today where I or probably anyone on this bus felt like they were, um, not secure and I honestly it's just a very different perspective than I think it's probably being heard across the lot of the media so Welcome to continue to talk more about it for sure, because I honestly what I walked up in my phone started ringing. I had no idea what had gone on because what had we continue to see throughout the day and even walking up to the states up to the Capitol and leaving it to pick up our bus. Was, you know, older folks in wheelchairs, people pushing baby here, guys with dog people praying. I mean, it was just so peaceful. We were like, Wait, What's going on? You know? Well, well, you know what happened and talk to you a little bit about that coming up in just a bit. Kelly Golden again. One of our I have radio talk show host out of Charleston Live in Washington, D. "They're not discriminating. You're you're you're you're suggesting that they want to discriminate. They're not discriminating because they're playing the same rules to everybody Discriminating is making a separate set of rules. They're not making a separate set of rules. Everybody Is, um, is held up to the same standard here. Nobody's held to a different standard. Okay, so it's not discrimination. I still think you don't want people knowing would see when I get this and I understand, Tony, you don't want people knowing people are angry about this. And when this sort of thing comes around what you get is a period of time where people trying to feel their way around trying to find a way where they could be against it. You don't have to get the vaccine. Nobody is going to force you to get the vaccine. But if a movie theater decides that they don't want people who haven't been vaccinated in there, because There is the health and safety of everybody else in there to consider. It's not just about Tony in Wesley Chapel. It's about everybody from everywhere in the movie theater who could be susceptible to a virus who could potentially have pre existing conditions that could make exposure to something like that deadly there's an overall health and safety issue that comes the play here. Which trumps you know the other things you're talking about. Unfortunately for you, I guess Okay, what you're saying? I just There's gonna be lawsuits. I mean, it's got sand up either. They're not going to stand there was gonna be like the other look. Alright, Tony. Thanks for calling the shit show. I appreciate it. There's gonna be lawsuits. They're gonna They're gonna fade. They're gonna go away. Like most of them have, you know they're the lawsuits are going to go away, You know? Did you know your employer? People don't realize this stuff and it's it's fine. I mean, it's Zumba. What complicated, I guess and it's it's new ground that we actually haven't had to go to your employer can require you to get your get the vaccine. Because again we're talking about the health and safety off everybody if they just came in and said you Casey. You specifically have to get the vaccine you singularly and you beyond your way until you do. Then that's discrimination. But if everybody is held to the same standard, you have a hard time making that the case in court and again, it's going to come down to the idea of of the safety of the public safety, the public good public safety for beating up else out there. That's what's gonna have to happen now. Just so you're in case you're curious. We're talking about here an app and what this app would do is it would inform people if you're going into T o place of business, whether or not you've been vaccinated, have your phone and it would all be right there in Spain. The entire country of Spain. Don't move. They're your head would explode. Because Spain is going to set up a registry of people who refuse to be vaccinated against the vaccine against the virus. And on top of that they don't have the same kind of laws that we have here in Spain. Pippa and things they don't have those kinds of laws that we have here. Certainly not the same degree that we have them here. So not only is the country of Spain going to create an entire database Where they are. Where they are keeping track of those who refuse to be vaccinated, but they're going to share it with everybody to get to share it with every other member of the year European Union So if you're in the European Union and you have you want you're going to get a list. Look, check your email. You're probably gonna get a pdf of a list of everybody in the country of Spain who has refused the vaccine and will not be vaccinated that will be shared with everybody. And if you try to show up in wherever France, Italy Britain. If you try to, you know, walk in and go through the border. You're going to be stopped and you're gonna be sent home. That's the that's the way they're going to do it there. And that's the government doing that. All right? You see, there's a lot of and and again. I'm not in favor of the government, forcing people to get the vaccine, all right, because I don't think it's enforceable. There are a lot of things that I tend to like. I'm going to get the vaccine when it becomes available. I'm gonna get it. I have an advantage. I'm not brave or misguided. I have a bit of an advantage. I'm not a frontline worker. I think I've said before on the air. I'm a radio talk show host. So right now, the people in Group one a one be all those people, high risk people. Frontline workers. They're getting the vaccine radio talk show hosts are gonna be back in like group 24 ft. Something like that. We're gonna be way back there. Everything that could possibly go wrong with the vaccine is going to have gone wrong. By the time my number comes up. So you know if they call it the bravery of being out of range, right? I'm not another bad ass is I'm coming off. I'm just not gonna have the opportunity to get it before. It's a big deal, So I'm going to do that, But it's the same thing with the mask. I don't think that it's realistic. Or enforceable or if they even tried to force that would be stupid to have cops doing it. I'm in favor of wearing masks because why not? Any little bit. Even if it's just a little bit any little bit helps. So I do it. But the idea the possibility of Biden or anybody else issuing a national mask mandate and by the way, Biden is still talking about that here and there. It's a symbolic gesture..

"A about about the possibility, you know, would he ever would he ever consider? You know a run again? You know if he could This is disturbing what you know. Now, do you wish like you had a second, a third term? Um And I used to say You know what if I could make an arrangement where I know I had standing a front man or front woman, and they had an ear piece in and that was just in my basement in my sweats, looking through the stuff that I could sort of deliver the lines, but somebody else was Doing all the talking and ceremony. I'd be fine with it. Um Another man or woman, You know you being like like a, like Abidin or Kamala? You know, we're hearing that Kamala was was Obama's hand picked lady right there right, And they are stacking the old Obama administration people into the Biden administration. It. Isn't that crazy. He said. Yeah, I do it. I could make an arrangement where I had to stand in. Ah, front man or front woman, and they had ear piece and I could sit in my basement and my jammies. Uh on I could deliver the lines. Yeah. He said. He'd be fine with that. And if you if you have any doubt that that's not what's going to be going on. Yeah, You're crazy. It is exactly what's going to go on. It's all been part of the plan. Now you want to see somebody who should be embarrassed by all this? It ought to be Joe Biden. It is possible. Because he looks even smaller than he is. Now. You've got Obama out here openly saying this But you also had a bite in last week talking about what? You know if something ever happened to me, you know, we'll just pulled her in They're laying the groundwork for you. Just like that movie that talked about election fraud. You know that that came out in June? Well, they're doing that right now. They're telling you how this is going to work. That's week. We had Obama out there. We're seeing a whole lot of Obama to have you noticed that you've seen a whole lot of Obama since the fraudulent election. And he, you know he's upset. He said he would been more popular if it weren't for Certain radio talk show host. I ended up getting enormous support in these pretty conservative, rural, largely white communities. What I was a senator, and that success was repeated when I Ran for president in the first race in Iowa, you by my second year in office. I'm not sure if I could make that same connection, because now those same people Are filtering me through Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and untiring conservative media infrastructure that was characterizing me in a way that suggested I look down on those folks or I had nothing in common with them. No, I wasn't Fox News or or Rush Limbaugh or talk radio. They did that. You know that broke that bond. It was you. You broke that bomb when you forced you forced through Obamacare. You forced that bond. When you just pretty much went by executive order, Look, putting things in place that the American people did not like would never vote for. At the time. We'll know we've been noticed that now. It's a good time Obama red he had of what? What? 67 million less votes than the first time you compare that to the Trump. Even with the fraud, he outdid himself. 10 million Over 2016. Probably way more than that. But here is Obama. Now you know, with same old complaints. I would've been more popular. I would've been more popular for weren't for those those pesky Republicans the word for those pesky conservatives. So now he's going to give himself another shot around three. It's Ah, It's not gonna be pretty. It's not a pretty picture. Presumably, we have a Biden. He has the presidential legacy to think of as he sends you to the ranks of history. You would think you were gonna make his own mark. He's been at it for so long. You would think he would want to strike out on his own from under the shadow of Obama, but With Obama making a whispering talk like this Good night. And good night for the rest of us as well and for for world leaders. We're talking about going back to the week apologetic. We're going from America first to apologizing for America again on your hand off the top here. How many Republicans.
