He'll reach out some bigger bands. But we don't really know like we we've had had in her own words young culture rarity One of our one of our hometown. Heroes is with the punches. We had them on we gray conversation with them yet. Jeff tie from. I call fives on recently. Then we turned around. And i did some right no prince. We had a called. Say what you will. From connecticut base go check l. Awesome awesome fan Friends real talk have been on a few tonight. the guys and goalkeeper fantastic humans fantastic. I agree It's it's it's fun because we've got to connect with bands and stay connected with our friends and meet new friends without going and playing shows which have been damn near impossible to do and all of this grew from a more or less. Hold my beer kinda situation. Where aaron descent a group text to the to the bandon. Zombie wanted to a podcast and is like yeah all right and we did a podcast that night and now those episodes wanna nonsense. So that's awesome. I'm glad i'm glad you start doing that. It's it's a great idea for a band. And i've i saw a like one or two bands do it before the pandemic and then i saw more do it like after the pandemic hit and i was like i think i think it's a great idea. It is just another kind of way to market or promote yourself. I guess kinda give fans more of a behind the scenes bird. I view it just depends on what you're doing with your podcasts. Kelly such a great actress man. Now i'm going to have to go watch. Grace kelly movie to catch the thief. There you go make sense together poster on your wall so and rear window. Another classic hitchcock film closet hitchcock film. Classic grace kelly. Yeah james stewart. James stewart was fantastic. In the was crazy. It was crazy. How many hitchcock movies that james stewart was in. I think him and carry granted the most probably in and grace kelly would probably be in there too. Yes she did sure. I was in at the time but it was right mood like i love. Old movies watchmen joy on yeah. I'm sure shot definitely a hard one to because he can either be like shoob slow or like really good off the bat right. Which is kind of vertigo vertigo. I was. I was kind of disappointed the first time i saw it but then when i watched it again i was like okay. I i like this better. Well there's one seems like it's almost like ten minutes and there's not a single bit of dialogue. You're just following somebody but it's so well that is cool right. Yeah it's just like for with vertigo. It's like a whole movie. You're like waiting for that punch liner that thing and it's you almost feel like it never comes even when it comes to the end of the movie. You're like oh you know. I don't know like that's kind of how i felt about it when i first saw it. I think part of the movie too is like others with Somebody recent ed. I was in another podcast. Somebody we're talking about wanda vision and how they use confusion and a big part of the show plays out at feeling. Vertigo was doing kind of that. Shane deal 'cause like the name vertigo. Plus we had another one that we'd record a while ago so there will be doing music rather soon. I'm i'm very very excited for it. Because i think it's all it's all really in that same baynes. "They would blip up like factoid suo. yeah yeah it was during The young price on one when he when gene wilder marty feldman says while wilder walk this way. The blip comes up. That was where aerosmith got the idea for. Walk this really. I did not know that. Why didn't flip that popped up. Hell inspired marty. Feldman and mel brooks inspired aerosmith. That's nuts yeah like you would think that would be the last that would inspire one of the most iconic rock songs of all time you know. Of course that's one of the most iconic films of all time to and. I just remember reading about that movie. And how mel brooks and gene wilder but it heads so much not that movie the because they just had like such different ideas other they wanna dealer religion law. There was more. Let's do like frankenstein like more of a dry humor. The brooks nahmad slapstick. All the way. Yeah he was more on the silly slapstick but feldman did so well with aegis amazing in the back they would not take his meds. And la's is go for. That is pretty nuts. Like he actually. I was in a bank. Call one for the braves. And i wrote entitled called marty feldman and his crazy is. That's awesome dude. I have a. I have a coworker. Who obsessed with mel brooks and gene wilder. Okay cool yeah i. I did that when i was nineteen. I got to play You know lieutenant kathy. Tom cruise and that was so much fun. And yeah it was with a community theater group. And what what was interesting. Is that when the start of the production They had decided that they were going to omit the foul language the f. bombs and all that stuff and then i can't remember what the turning point was because this is you know it's a family organization this community theater group just like most of them are right I can't remember what the turning point was where they just said. You know what screw it like. You just say just put a disclaimer. You know on the show that say. Hey only this age is allowed or just so you know like up kind of deal that you know there is some explicit content or however you wanna word it adult content in this in this place so When i think when we first started rehearsing and the why am. I forgetting jack. Nicholson's character man. I guess it's just because it's been so long since i've done the play a few good men. He was so good. That movie too so cool. We want me on that wall. "You drive angry and they drive off a cliff. I was reading recently. That during the filming. And i'm assuming it's during that scene he got bit Two or three times by the groundhog. Your your that at all. And and i'm assuming it's during the scene where he's got. He's driving in the truck with the groundhog. Because there's no other part of the movie where he's that close to the groundhog to where he can get bit but yeah apparently he got it was. They were so concerned about the bites that he ended up getting rabies shots. I yeah i just kinda learned at the other day. This past groundhog day has almost every year. I try to watch groundhog day on groundhog day. Cheesy as hell right. But i do it and i had it on. Vhs up until this last groundhog day because vhs took a dive it was on. Its last leg. And i almost couldn't get it out of the vcr 'cause like the tape. The vcr was like eating the tape out of the reels or whatever. I'm sure you experience that probably a long time ago. 'cause i'm probably the last person on the planet that's still has a vcr. Don't have any lack. But i did. I do remember exactly you're talking about because of my favorite movies died. That was you see exactly but but anyway yeah so i was. I was looking up some things about the film. Some interesting facts and that was one of the lump tournament. what else was something else. That was interesting. But i think the ned ryerson scenes are some of my favorites because we all have that person we went to high school with or whatever and we tried to avoid them and pump blake if we see them like shit like i don't wanna see this guy because he's doing. No i want you to buy this. And i'm doing this now. You should totally by my thing or you know whatever whatever it is and so the whole ned. Ryerson thing is great. I think one of my favorite facts about the movie too is that they were doing the math. Like how long who's in the loop for no they. They don't really have like a definitive. But it's anywhere between ten and three years. He was going through the loop seriously. Yeah wow that's crazy. I don't remember who wrote the screenplay for that. And i'm sure it's probably based on a book like everything else is i do know that it's Wow now i'm going to forget his name of director's name. I'm forgetting his name. And i'm going to have to look that up now. 'cause herald ramos there. We go Herald ramos was the hill. Raymond yeah it was herald ramos. I'm up my movies. And i guess i was gonna say yeah and i guess says he actually wrote it with someone else so which i guess isn't surprising but i don't know i. I just have a soft spot for that movie. I think i mean. That's my favorite bill. Murray movie and i think it's one of his best known as a very very good bill. Murray movie i don't know is it my favorite. That's a good question to. I'll a big fan of the steve zizou life. I have never seen life aquatic. Very different bill murray role but very good bill murray role a lot of movies around that time like lost in translation. And all that they were those were very different. In my opinion there are kind of weird. You know it's still funny in a way. Because like he's not he's not like slapsticky he's like sarcastic funding throughout the entire movie is it's really good Another movie i just never really got super into was scrooge. I just never could get into that one to watch it a few times and i was like it's not for me. Yeah i i guess that was also kind of weird you know. It's like a weird t. That's the one obviously screws christmas christmas story. So since we're on the topic of movies. I know when you had me on the nonsense podcast I think it was like i. I was spying like your movie posters. And i'm trying to think of i think it was a hitchcock movie poster that i spied in the background which migrate there Nor was it northwest by. What's that movie. called by. northwest northbound. Okay it is cary grant to catch a thief right. Okay yes okay. Now i remember. I knew it was a very grim. Remember which one it was. So what's where did Where did you get interest in older films like that. A mother hundred percent my mother She likes old movies and stuff. I remember being a little kid. Downstairs watching You know the the end of the philadelphia story with her which is k. grant and Kari grant james dealer in katherine hepburn all star studded cast for the time. Yeah and For years and years you've had hanging in the house. She has breakfast at tiffany's poster-hanging she hasn't into wonderful life poster-hanging now with milo further even more of them hanging throughout the house She got me watching all his old movies. And i love them. I love even the campy ones. I love it. It's just fun to watch. Because there's no other part of the movie where he's that close to the groundhog to where he can get bit but yeah apparently he got it was. They were so concerned about the bites that he ended up getting rabies shots. Yeah i just kinda learned at the other day. This past groundhog day has almost every year. I try to watch groundhog day on groundhog day. Cheesy as hell right. But i do it and i had it on. Vhs up until this last groundhog day because vhs took a dive it enhance was on. Its last leg. And i couldn't get it out of the vcr 'cause like the tape. The vcr was like eating the tape out of the reels or whatever. I'm sure you experience that probably a long time ago. 'cause i'm probably the last person on the planet that's still has a vcr. I don't have any lack. But i did. I do remember exactly. You're talking about because of my favorite movies died. Do they do their thing but they have. A milkshake should really good really hard hard ice cream. Excuse but they don't. They do pretty much different. Ones every season but They're cookie does always a win creams to like i love like black raspberry that a pretty good black raspberry one i think i've had black raspberry it's a long time though. And it's got a great hook right in the beginning of the song and ecorse like the first thing i think of when i hear groundhog day or see groundhog as i think of the movie. Because as one of my favorite movies And but i'm pretty sure the song itself maybe referencing towards is it a reference towards the movie where things are just kind of the same over and over again one hundred percent okay. So the idea like the idea of like the song is like i use it in terms of breaking out of a relationship. So you're breaking out of a cycle of hey like you can't save everybody trying and trying and keep you keep butting heads like no one's getting anywhere. Nothing changes sometimes. The best way to help other people to help yourself to break that cycle and start a new day and groundhog day. The movie as what it was it'd be a better person. Find a new day and finally broke out the cycles. that's why. I rolled with groundhog day for the title on that one so Did did you literally like watch this movie and think This is kind of like the relationship. I'm in right now. I'm gonna write a song about this but kind of like loosely. Tie in the whole concept of groundhog day. Like how did that show. It was a longtime friend of mine. We don't talk anymore for those who know what makes sense. History of pretty ship with family members have been most of what the writings about in general in our songs and going through. That and i happened to i wrote. I wrote that al and then happened to be going through i will. I will movies especially older movies. Have we were talking about that. Yeah had be going through watching and grandma came on. I was like man. That's like one is a cool name. It really does kind of like some what. There's actually a lot more to it and it's also really interesting to hear talking to writers like yourself where a lot of times you think specific because this song was a necessarily about like a girl right right. I wasn't about a girl. He's valley is more about relationship in a lot of times. I feel like a lot of us. Perceive okay well this is obviously. It's about a girl you know what i mean like a lot of times. You don't actually know that. Oh wait it's actually about something deeper than that especially when it comes to pop punk. We automatically think the girl or the guy or you know whoever it is i. A guest does.
