"Today on the show. I am joined by planet money producer. Alexi horowitz ghazi and alexi. Hello first of all parody cardiff alexi. You've brought us a kind of pasta mystery. Not just any pasta. Cardiff dismissed all about a very particular. Pasta shape called bucatini. It's basically just spaghetti with a hole in it in. The story comes to us. By way of a self avowed bucatini fanatic new york magazine writer. rachel handler. When did you know that you were bucatini. Hat or bucatini bopper. Look what do we call ourselves. Ivan bucatini had because. I just think it's cute but i definitely didn't grow up in a bucatini household by any means we are definitely spaghetti. Family the mystery part of all of this began. When rachel started to notice last spring that her beloved bucatini seemed to be getting harder and harder to find at our local grocery stores in new york until eventually it seemed to be totally gone and then one day in the fall rachel was on the phone with her also pasta obsessed mother who lives in chicago and her mom kind of mentioned off hand that she was having the exact same problem. Racial literally haven't been able to find bucatini anywhere and she was talking specifically about to check out. The check is a one hundred and forty year old italian pasta company so when she said that i was like slow mo i was like because i thought it was like a new york problem like a very classic. Sort of like you know history. I can't find my bucatini. Whatever like who cares. But then i was a coli though. Sorry can i swear. Oh yeah okay okay. Great it's like holy if you can't find it that means that this is a real issue. And then she told me that she had actually reached out to the customer service department to check. Oh i just sent them an email. it's a classic move. It was like full of typos. Which is like a way. That mom's ready meals. But her email said i am a huge fan of bucatini pasta huge in all caps. I have not been able to find it for many weeks at any store. It is my favorite pasta cook than the sentences in all caps with four questionnaires. Are you still making it. Please tell me how to get some not too long afterwards. Rachel's mom gets a voicemail from a regional dicicco sales representative named brian. And then when. She played me voicemail from brian. I was like holy like this goes deep. There is a cover up like something weird is going on. Brian told rachel mom that she was likely having trouble. finding check. Oh bucatini. Because of an fda hiccup the hecker exactly for some reason the fda which is the food and drug administration seemed to have put a hold on the import of check. Obu katini and now. Brian was telling rachel's mom to sit tight and check the shelves a few months down the road and the fact that this little pasta mystery seemed to reach all the way to the federal government. That was something that had dogged. Journalists like rachel could not in good conscience. Look away from. This is the turning point for me. Yeah the next day. Rachel pitched the story to her editor but in the back of her mind. She wasn't sure it would go anywhere. And i'll just felt so big. And i think all of us figured nothing would really come event. At least i did. I was like i'm never going to figure out what's going on but began calling to check. Oh i reached out to like five or six different people. Email and phone call and voicemail and no one got back to me and then i was like something in santa's happening and i don't know and at that point i was like there's there's a story hammond

Years later, it would have been much easier to get a diagnosis. Did you the increased awareness around the autism spectrum, However, this has helped me develop my support system of family and friends, including Martha, whom I would not have met without my diagnosis of autism has made it so I view the world differently than others, and they used filmmaking in my everyday life even during the pandemic. Years ago. Autistic people special interest come from referred to as obsessions. I like to think of my special interest as a passion and career, which showcases my strengths. As a result, it has turned into a poor, family effective coping mechanism. Artistic people have the ability to hyper focus on things for a prolonged period of time, which has benefited me when editing film for hours on end. Autism has introduced me to many friends, passions and experiences I would not have had if I were neurotic. You call? My name is Scott Klum. I am filmmaker..

She made a film the first year and she's an actress who actually was hurt pretty clothes, too. The time that we started the film challenge, and she found out about the film challenge, and ultimately, this helped give her a platform and helped her back on her goals of being an actress and the fact that she started tow, make her own work and writing and producing and directing her films through the film challenge that's led to a whole other career for her, and she's quite every Markab yl. A writer who's always coming up with amazing scripts. And in fact, two years ago, she entered the film challenge with a film called Committed And It was a great film. It was nominated for best film, and she took that film, and she submitted it to the T under represented category of their tea film awards. My support system of family and friends, including Martha from, I would not have met without my diagnosis. Autism has made it so I view the world differently than others, and they used film making in my everyday life, even during the pandemic. Years ago. Autistic people, special interests have been referred to as obsessions. I like to think of my special interest has a passion and career show faces. As a result, it has turned into a profoundly affected testing. People have the ability to hyper focus on things for a prolonged period of time. Which has benefited me when editing film for hours on end. Autism has introduced me to many friends, passions and experiences I would not have had if I weren't your typical. My name is Clum. She goes on. They're very much in love. Really cute photos okay. So it's her birthday. That's the story story. The second story that I want to focus on is perhaps late writer but the weirdest video of two thousand nineteen is Mary. Kate and Ashley Olson wishing Ashley Ashley Benson a happy birthday so Ashley. Benson posted it herself but they obviously recorded and sent it to someone to send her. It's the two of them Mary. Kate and Ashley Really Close Up in there like you know if frozen sales and they both really happy birthday. I hope it's the best one bubble by hope it's magical and and they say can't wait to meet you soon. Have they not met. Was this a favor that someone called in for Ashley Benson. It's like the worst thing they've ever seen so truly there was just a a flood of people being like these cats wire they so horny in this video. There are like the amount of crotch shots and like people like sexuality in this movie is like horrify truly like that was the main that was amazing. Way On this movie. Apparently all this bad Taylor swift song. Apparently the best. Okay okay Not The one that she wrote the one that she sings her actual number is that good. Yes the cat boobs. Yes that's when they make an appearance but it just the social media reaction to cats it was just staggering and it was complicated by the fact that a few hours later president trump got impeached. And so people were like. Wow this attempt to distract distract from cats this pathetic really ugly stuff but celebrity starters ponding separately to trump's impeachment and in a weird way. It kind of brought back the sexual peach jokes from a while back Timothy Shelley on his instagram stories. Posted a mean that someone made were to picture of Timmy in a picture of trump. And and above the picture of Tim. Piazza Timmy. It says has been impeach and trump says has been impeached. I hate and Zoe Kravitz. "Achie- dot com. I know you guys are laughing, but I'm dead series. You gotta call that number. If that's true. If you've eaten food, and I wanna know so also name names name fucking. One. Phrase name names on this podcast. Name name ghosts name ghost. Don't. Shame ghosts. No, never introduce us to them. We would like to meet them. So we have an Email this week very dutifully following up on a request for emails and calls about not the desert, but dessert, and this comes to us from at Bordeaux blues who has s to be identified by Twitter handle, and that's good because I don't think I can pronounce his name. Although I am familiar with him from Twitter. So here is Boorda blues. Hello, dear night, coal crew. I really wanted to ask a question after listening to the latest episode, but since my only desert experiences a kid from Sweden is for my mother's hometown tola and the snowy hills up north aren't sufficiently desert-like, maybe asking about desserts is more my lane this time around and since the first desert that always comes to mind for me as Bach, lavar. I think all I can ask is what is your favorite foreign dessert dish as an American pasty or something in that general area. Anonymous. Pastry? Good question. I you this is a very good question. And and and the collar emailer is from Sweden, and this just immediately made me think of the Swedish Princess cake from crepe bitter, pay cough or US familiar. Well with the show familiar with show. I will say that like most of the things on great British bake off. Look, very disgusting. It was agreed the Princess cake. Like the like million layer cake. Yeah. It's it's like God zillion steps. And it's but it's dome and it has a marzipan outer late. It actually looks like it was really delicious. Really, I'm not like a super person I'm gonna come out hard here and say the metoo Molly like pie version for pie. Like a like there to be high. Why not both again Boston cream pie festive both worlds not foreign not. No. But say hi for it to thing I've super into in the past couple of years or Chaka pies, which are a Korean version of moon pies, which aren't thing. But it's like one of those things or somebody like does a cover version. It's better than the original. You know, they're just like really good. They're not like a pastry per se, though, they're more like a snack cake cake can be a desert. They're like little chocolate disks, and they're delicious, and I recommend. I haven't had the Chuck oh pies. I don't think I feel like I've had versions of it. I if we're. Talking about Asian pastries? Or like, I don't this isn't a favorite. But I just love the idea of it. There's like a very like everywhere type of cake in Japan called the Castello cake, which is like a weird kind of Portuguese cake. That's been turned into a Japanese cake and people give them as gifts like there. It's like, it's basically like a pancake, but like really fancy box alco. Yeah. It's it's super basic. But the thing about the Castillo cake is like well one they because it's like his Japanese and they put as much packaging as possible. A lot of times they'll be cut already individual slices like pieces of paper something in between them like these perfect little slices and also because of the way that the climate is in Japan a lot of times, they vaguely taste of mildew. Like, this is just a feature not a bug that they kinda tastes like mildew. And also each town. I think has like their own Castillo cake, but they all taste the same. As far as I can love that. It's just a weird kind of cake of the mind. Yeah. Moni cake for less, basically it I lay art objects. I mean, I think on the great British bake off that comes up all the pastry out shows. It's like, I just find frosting disgusting. So you're not..

"But I'm obsessed with the idea finding her and I really want to sushi came back. Well, she came back which she was eighteen years said or she'd like did she finish highschool fair? I think she I think she like went off somewhere like, oh or she finished high school. All I know is that she had a monkey as baby. That's all. I know exactly where she got. Soda rotates. Yeah. On the secrets, maybe the monkey lives in the house. That's playing the piano. Oh, maybe of old Asmaa here. You don't use like babies are a bugaboo phantom of offer. In the basement and like coming up with like on. Like comes up occasionally to play the mice symphony actually a really exciting explanation. I feel like I may have seen you play this piano, perhaps on social media. Is that possible? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My not me. I don't play the piano, but my my grandparents and my sisters and my dad, I'll play it. So he this same one that they had they know. It's not the same. Okay. Is my grandparents panel, I want to know if the Piano's playing if you go look at the piano, do you think it looks like one of those player pianos were pressing or is it like a different like the noise isn't coming from that Panos like coming from a different via. No, I'm never gonna about this, by the way. I know. I I don't think it's coming. I don't necessarily think it's coming from the piano doesn't sound like a Pinot downstairs plane slow it does. But I can't tell you if it's like coming from that room. Just sounds like it's down. Maybe they're piano was in the same spots. I don't I don't think that literally like someone is plunking on the right? It doesn't sound that. No like on the same. It's different dimension. In another overlapping with the president. Yeah. So this is like overall like a positive thing. And like, yeah, I think of like my neighbour Totoro, and they're like, hey, we live in a haunted. Starts about it. And I was like let's go to grandma's all the I loved it. And I love sleeping there. And I would freak myself out. I had a brief period in high school when I got really scared. I think this after I heard the story from my friend, and I would run pass the piano when I came over. I couldn't look at it. Even though I don't know what like I would have seen. But I had like a weird period. I put my hand over my eye. Then I got back into it. Wednesday atom. So you were like owning it. Yeah. I was obsessed. I asked my dead. Now, I'm like weren't you for like worried that I was so obsessed at death? And you just go sit in cemeteries. He was like, no. Dad's seemed like such a good sport about. Yeah. I mean, I like I remember wishing that I lived in a haunted house when we moved houses when I think before I was in third grade. And I think I had kind of figured out. I don't know if it was told to me, but I knew that the previous owner of the house had been like an old man like a widower, and he had most likely died in the house. And so I I loved to kind of spook myself. There's like a weird crawlspace attic, and I would like poke my head in and we would have been friends. But I was like there's nothing interesting there. It was just like, I don't know. It was there's nothing haunted about it. I mean, everything feels a little bit like dank and haunted and the Pacific northwest. But but there was no actual go secretary. I keep saying like, I would if show me show me any paranormal actors, I would love to see it show me goes, I believe though that like you have to. I mean that whole thing about you have to be open to it. I agree. Like, I think because I was. So into that as a kind of I was a bit of a portal girlfriend poltergeist putting my hands on the TV on the Pia. No. Yeah. Also haunted street. I am now you're telling no not my street now. But the street that I lived on until I was five which is like down the street from where we record this podcast. It's Sierra Bonita in Hollywood. Yeah. I like that on it. Yeah. I like found out as an adult that it's like famously haunted..

"So this story she tells me. Unexpected. So so the way she told it was that the daughter eventually died and my grandparents out, so that's the version we were working under on time. So I told my grandparents this story they were like, yeah. We actually heard that like that all checks out. And I was like holy shit. Okay. But still migrant my parents emigrant was didn't believe us a little more time goes by. And then I'm at college. I come home, and my grandparents like, okay, we've something to tell you while you're at college we both will four in the morning, and we heard the piano playing like it woke both of us at asleep. And obviously they're basis was staying over one night. She was going downstairs in the middle of the night for some reason. And she heard it from the top of the stairs playing and she called me. And I was at college who's crying, and she was like, I'm hearing the piano, and I said why you crying she said I'm really excited like this is the coolest thing ever while. Yeah. And there was a bunch of other like little things that happened like this bedroom that we used to all stand ice to feel it shaking in the middle of the night, and my sister, then later stay in it, and she would feel shaking. And my littlest sister. Who's fifteen said she when she was a kid who's playing with one of her friends and she looked up the stairs. And saw a woman standing there like dressed in all black or something and her friends saw two, and then they both kind of circle back to see if they if that woman was there. She wasn't just a bunch of weird chilling. This is like the baseline story. The the next thing that happened. I'll make it short. But I went home like six months ago, I decided to do some research because I Google these this family over and never been able to find anything about them not even betrays I went to the library like met with us historian who worked at the library Goto movie. Yes. I did. I went into the microfiche. And I and I took me so long so hard to find..

Like, I'm not gonna take any. Just can't afford shells. Because of a recycling shells. I it's cool when animals rise, and they're like really is attached hermit crabs or renters. They don't stay in them forever. Could there tenor? They're renting to own. They're related. This is not related, but my mom saw a raccoon on her porch yesterday, just like peel and eat a Mandarin. And I was like, no, that's crazy. I love it. Yeah. So we have Rachel on today to talk to her not only because what was what was our line about. You your great writer. Migrate coworker, a great friend. But also because you have an abundance of ghost stories, and you're here to share them with us, and we are here to receive them and think about them. So yeah, give us some background. What was this this haunted house, and what was your relationship to? So the ghost stories are mostly all related sort of in one long story. I'll tell tell it medium length. I've told us so many times I have like versions. So the haunted houses, my grandparents house, which is in suburban Illinois, where spent a lot of time growing up I slept on a lot of weekends instead of my siblings. And we were there all the time. This big spooky house with like a ton of weird rooms and weird balconies, and it was just like a creepy. Bizarre house when it was built I think it was built I may feel like it's at least one hundred years old. But I know they they remodeled it in like a weird seventy way which minute even crappier. Like, the orange carpeting and stuff. Also almost died. There are different type where my cousin almost they're different time by my hand. But that's a different story. Oh. Like accident. We decided we would try to marry Poppins and umbrella off the balcony. And it didn't go. Well, it was my phone. No one died. I saved her gripping her arms holding her up on the balcony. So saved her life. Really? But feels like something out of the Numeiri pop. Exactly. But anyway, so this all started when I was maybe seven years old. I woke up in the middle of the night. I was kind of sick. So having a fever evening and I woke up in the middle of the night. And I remember hearing the piano playing they had a piano downstairs, and I remember thinking that it was my grandpa or my dad because they both played and I was so pissed off and I kind of walked into the hallway, and then I kept playing and I realized it was one in the morning..

"When this lands on earth, which it probably won't. But if it did. Yeah. When you touch it. Yeah. Touch it. Yeah. On your percents touch the more. Else touch it. I. Every time. I talk about aliens. I can't talk about them for too long before. I get really worked up thinking about dying before I get like really absol we're talking about this like last week with the Drake equation, the likelihood of even happening as long as they're humans on earth. But is okay. But what if this when you break on through the other side? Like in contact. Yeah. You meet your dad on a beach. I love how that's always come up with. It's like you meat yourself. Aliens about you. Right. We should read the book of contact. Yeah. That would be 'cause I've never read it. I've just seen the movie gazillion times. But I would love to read. I like things about contact things about the aliens making con-. Yeah, we are all just like we'd like to be there. My recent favorite. This is not even qualify as a joke. But anytime I like pick up food that's fallen on the floor. Now, my line is just we are all star. So. I keep trying to bring this up on the pod, but UFO colts, which are like they're a bunch of religions that are based around the idea that the raptures when the aliens come. Of course, it just makes sense. And they're like, well like people think Jesus is gonna come back. And it's you know, sounds eerily similar to when the aliens come has it Heaven's Gate, right? There's one called happy science. I think that's Japanese. I there's a good way conflict still around that. I can. There's a bunch really ins. I believe our UFO coal. There's Unirea which is not technically like a a rapture call. I love you Neria scenario was on there on the flyer for our first live show there now run by a woman. It was like the empress of aliens they used to have a show on public access and LA all the time. That was a parade of the planets. It was like. So all the things you love. It's really put a ban it imprinted on me, very deeply because they would always show it because the Unitarians just like bought up all this time on L A public access. And again, that's why I love podcasting is because it feels public access e one hundred but I will start a US. I would love to that's night. Call is eventually going to become obviously, don't tell anyone about stage three. Hey, we were going to talk a little bit about a poem out for a a friend of the podcast who's no longer with us. Yes lonely, George who is the last of his species of tree snail has died. He was fourteen years old blew my fuck in mind that he was that whole to on your own Neil. Yes. A fourteen year old snail? I had a snail growing up a pet snail. She live I know for went out again our kindergarten class had like tiny baby snails, and I was able to procure a tiny baby snail and brought her home. She lived for many years, but not fourteen how many years did it live for. She lived until I was in like fourth grade. Five years. I my years a snail in my how parents are Saint Louis his name. I don't remember. It's name. I know you were hoping I was telling you. Years couldn't erase that. I had a snail for five years is a much less say that interesting with George they had been trying to find a mate for George for a long time. But he did he wasn't interested didn't wanna mate. He also, I think that they are neither male nor female, but they just decided that he was a he his researchers short George isn't in drowsiness name to me. Madam George Madame George Georgie girl. Yeah. Yeah. I like that in the National Geographic article about Georgia's passing they say throughout his life, which is all ready funny to me, George was a public face the struggles facing Hawaiian land. Oh, it's sad. But it's also immediately. I think of a face of a snail, and I'm just like, no, they're key. Facing? I talked about. Banana slugs when I came back from the bay and I'd seen bunch of banana slugs I'm down to talk traumas my boyfriend there would be banana slugs. And then there were and I guess it was unusual to see them in Berkeley. Really?.

"That's like the reason that it's noteworthy. It's like a signal. That's now repeated itself nobody knows what's in the signal yet. Nobody's like, I don't think anybody is trying to dig into it yet. But it did give me reading about the theory about gamma-ray bursts says a possible. Mode of communication from extraterrestrials because those happen every once in awhile, and apparently in a gamma, Ray burst, you can pack. The entire information like the sum, total of all information on planet earth could be packed into a gamma Ray burst. So a very advanced civilization. Could hypothetically send everything about themselves to us in one single like milliseconds hockey sitting there? They're beaming us their hard drive. Yeah. It's very possible. I can't we look at it. Two. We'll be accurate. These are not gamma-ray bursts. These are radio bursts. These were discovered on fado telescope after you go into this the same astronomer guy. Avi Loeb, who who was kind of opining about the fast radio bursts being meaningful today. There was something about this potential spaceship called whom Amoah memoria, and he's the same guy. He's just like I am I'm working at Harvard now, I'm just going to speak my mind about the I can't remember this is this is the same guy who I heard on an interview on big picture science, which is the podcast of the SETI institute, which I am a proud subscriber. Yeah. But he I think he was talking about Ohio, which is like this weird long sort of structure that that a lot of scientists are saying doesn't look like it's naturally occurring. Just the shape of it does not look like the way that asteroids or there's the word for asteroids that are in the stray belt, but it's like it doesn't look naturally occurring. And he was high pod the size in that. It was a solar sail that had like made its way to us from some other civilizations. Years ago or something because it's just this long skinny thing it. Yeah. But it was I think that was discovered a couple of months ago. What are the odds? It's the monolith. From two thousand one immediate kind kinda looks like it. I mean, it's not it's not as clean. But it's it's it's long once we get it. And like, you know, sanded up. Producer venture that rest held up his jewel to suggest maybe the aliens have been vaping. Every time you jewel. It's like a gamma Ray. Learn something about an ancient civilization you download an entire aliens one five race. Maybe it's just it's five hundred gamma rays right to the dome. But I think that the deal with whom Amoah, which is it means what does it mean? I forget I wrote it down. So it is I guess. Okay. Wait, so Hawaii Hawaii discovered Hawaiian messenger or scout. Yes. But the deal was I guess it's the first it's the first object to pass through the solar system, and like be identified as being like foreign to our solar system. So but also it's like, yeah. It's powered by the sun with technology that we don't have. I don't know. My husband this morning was like, hey, did you hear about when woma was like what he's like? He's like Google it. And I was like I can't because you're giving me nothing sagoes alien Vikings. Yeah. We're alien Viking. Yeah. Like an alien Viking barrels just like glided all the way out. That'd be cool..

"Finding comforting to think about we to that's really soothing actually we should be so lucky to last long. The sun. This is slightly related. Speaking of science reevaluating, everything did you see that article about how like the sun is actually good for you now sunscreen is killing people. I know I love this article. It was awesome. I love it was it said that I Russians know like this one guy who was like, you know, what I know. Like all the dermatologists are gonna hate me. But I'm just going to say they're all of these studies that show that voiding the sun is as bad as smoking. Yeah. Well, it think you need a little vitamin d. And you're a lot of an and taking vitamin d as a supplement isn't affect doesn't help, and you can die all these things that the sun care, and it really. Habits. Put on sunscreen on your face on your. But you still go outside. Right. I think they're saying like the lifestyle. Avoiding son is gonna be a vampire don't be basement. But that's like what those people are into right? Pleaded. Yeah, they submit something like three people out of every one hundred thousand people who get skin cancer will die. Whereas the odds of dying from a disease that's related to avoiding the sun is much higher. So it's basically like you should not totally avoid the sun. And you should see a dermatologist what's bad about sunscreen? Blocks the sun. Screen. Yeah. Yeah. It does the way. It does read the thing. It's read the thing. You got to read the thing, this Gwyneth Paltrow website, real thing. It was I said into my everyone, I know because everyone likes to give me shit because I was young lifeguard. Tan my face on. I was like I'm going to be. Okay. Well, we'll site that source in our show notes and make. Lobby for big sun may have paid for this. I mean, it is the talking about big moon because we were talking about the super blood wool Sumer flying up super Leveille headman. I believe flood Emily was like, what's the silly moon names, a bunch of people were like well, actually. Well, very old. I was glad that people clarified this. I mean to be fair I was asking about the whole name because there is such a thing as obviously a super moon. We know it's about super moons about blood moons. I had personally never heard of wolf moon. But some people are saying this is an indigenous thing people seem to say it's like an old world thing a wolf there are actually well as somebody who actually twenty nineteen which is almanac. Oh, yeah. Okay. Long ago. All right. There's like a bunch of different names for every moon. And most of them are like indigenous names, then American colonizers like kept so things like the corn moon rate. Have you ever heard the wolf saying to the blue? Bordman is a thing. So I please ever noble thing to the wolf moon. This is one of the moons. There's a worm moon that is the number one moon in my book. Moon moon. Why is it a word because it's it's awesome. It's because it's when the worm start coming out of the. Yeah, it's like the end of winter when the worm star coming to drawn out by the gravity of the moon. Like, the exactly they probably. I know it's all it's all super, cool and awesome. And well, we do have bring more moon info and have a super wolf blood moon coming up in Feb. No, it's January because it's the first full moon of the year. I think it's the twentieth. It'll be around when this episode around around. Yeah. So check it out keep your eyes out for the Super Bowl flood Mirren. Oh, you know, right up to that night. Call live show. Feth long. I wish we. Wolf blood moon while R J that but alas one more bit of a space news. It's been a really amazing last few months in general for setting news again search for extraterrestrial intelligence, but the most recent thing that I was so I was so glad that you guys sent this to me I had at least two other friends who sent this to me that there have been these series of radio bursts detected by radio stran- radio telescopes that so far they have not ruled out could becoming from estrogen extraterrestrials. But there it's repetitive..

"I'm Molly Lambert in Los Angeles. And joining me as always is tests Lynch and over in New York, we have Emily Ashida and special guest. I don't know. No. She's so excited. She's ready to go. Rachel handler. My editor and colleague, New York magazine and vulture a very funny and great writer and just all around great co worker. That review and Fred also used to work together. I will double confirm. She is also a great co worker, and friend Android or bring this to my raise meeting. Great performance review. We were gonna start sorry inside jokes about the magazine. You raise your consciousness. Yes. Let's cut all read your aura. They're like your aura seems get. Yeah. Yeah. It's nice blue year for you. Speaking of Auras in crystals. We talked about crystals last week. We got a lot of face news this week. Yeah. Much space. This is both crystal news and space news, which makes it perhaps the most exciting new age. News lucky a-. Which is that I read a story on live science favorite science story aggregate are about how the sun is going to turn into a crystal when it dies how or why? Well, funny, you should ask just the sun is gonna die. Hold on. I'm trying to pull the store. I'll tell you the short version. I remember vaguely there was a new study that was published that said that white dwarfs, which is I think we knew that the sun would turn into a white dwarf white dwarfs turn into solid crystal cores that are made of oxygen and carbon. And then when they're really really old. This is the discovery they're just like a an entire crystal star. Who's not like a diamond though, it's like a or is it like compressed carbon that just turns into. I mean, I think that's sort of what it's like which again is what you're saying last week. Like that to me is what is amazing about crew. Crystals is your. Yeah. The earth the earth squished an egg that like a weird. Business scientifically backed up the earth made and scientists six we call stones and gems or earth x a footnote about how the age that. We think stars are might be wrong because as they turn into white dwarfs they start cooling in that. Like kind of distorts what their age, and as we've learned from all the statistics are fake about everything. Exactly. Right. Well, that is true and science though, it's like old beliefs continually get replaced with like, we know more. Now, there's something smaller than a molecule or whatever and than atom. This also says that the skies are probably already filled with these crystal stars because it means that there's just a lot of stars that like already burned out and are dead and are just floating around being crystals in the skies on Mary very soon. I mean, if to be a dead star, it means it's just burnt out done. It's energy has been depleted. And it's like a plant that dad, but it's like. How long does it exist, and it's dead state forever? I guess just like flutes. It's like it's like a rock, then becomes like a space rock, but I don't know if you've ever really dies just four is a different farm. Also before the sun turns into a crystal. It's gonna turn up into a a giant red giant and swallow the earth will. Yeah. But right. It's just it's fake news..
