Looters Ram Truck Into Memphis Stores, Multiple Businesses Targeted
"They would travel around and herds, herds of thugs roaming the streets of Memphis predators. And they would use a pickup truck or some other kind of vehicle and they would literally ram the truck into the storefront. And as soon as that happened, you would have 17, 18 thugs just compiling it and taking everything out. It was like a swarm of locusts. And one particular store, $70,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. $70,000. So we're pointing all of this out. And we start getting these messages on social media. How dare you? Who do you think you are? Telling people there are riots. We never said anything about rats. How dare you? You said those people were looting because of Tyree. No, we never said that at all. At all, as a matter of fact, looks to me like the thugs were taking advantage of the situation. Every police officer in the city was in downtown Memphis. Meanwhile, you had the thugs roaming about stealing, taking advantage of it. But not once did we ever compare not at all. What they're upset about is that we are reporting the facts, and the news. And the facts were very clear that hordes of thugs were looting stores and predominantly black parts of town, businesses that are owned by minorities, and businesses that employ minorities. And every single person we talked to every minority we talked to. Said they were ashamed that people would use this story as a way to go and steal stuff. But now a lot of the elected leaders are upset with this because we were simply reporting the facts. As a matter of fact, one woman who just lost her election said, well, maybe those people just want jobs somewhere else. Well, now they're going to have to because the looters wiped them out.

How the Left Jumps to Conclusions
"Let me get to Carrie Lake because I had spoken about the shooting. Maybe I'll get back to that in a second. I think it's crazy. I don't know if it's something that's real shocking in my personal opinion. You know the people are being SJWs. They can't help themselves. I mean, even in Los Angeles raiders. And everybody else, all they do is they come out initially and they go, stop Asian hate. We need to stop Asian hate. The Asians, I mean, shut the front door. How many people, and this is my personal opinion. Why can't you just wait? Until you find out who did the shooting, this didn't come out and say it's Asian hate and that white people are killing Asians. They say they do the same thing with black people. A black man gets shot by a police officer, you know where they go. But then they get shot by a black police officer, you know, a white man gets shot. I mean, black person gets shot by police officer assuming white. Then they finally these black the story goes away. The kid go and shoot his teacher in the head. I don't know if he shot in the head or wherever. They got she didn't die. I reported on my YouTube channel that she had died because I saw a report that she had died, but I was wrong. I had to fix that. But she didn't die, but the reason that you don't hear about the 7 year old, however, he was, shooting his teacher, 'cause the kid was black. This is why you can't trust the media. This is why you can't trust the social justice warriors. Just shut the front door, slow down for a minute. Wait till you get the facts. At least sufficient facts. And then come out with your argument. Los Angeles Rams, we need to focus on football.

We worked really hard to be where we are now. We've overcome a lot. We've been through a lot as a team and as individuals. Davis Webb, right for one touchdown through for another for the Giants. The Seahawks are playoff bound as Jim Bernard reports. First, the Seahawks did their part by outlasting the Los Angeles Rams in the 1916 overtime victory, then the Detroit Lions did theirs by beating the Green Bay Packers. Gino Smith overcame two Jalen Ramsey interceptions and passed for 213 yards and a touchdown while Kenneth walker rushed for 114 yards. The dolphins have extended their season. Denny cap has details. Three Jason Sanders field goals are all the dolphins need to squeak into the playoffs and beat the jets 11 to 6. Sanders kicked the game winner from 50 yards out with 18 seconds left, and a battle of third string quarterbacks it was rookie 7th round draft pick, Skylar Thompson, who did just enough to send his team to the postseason. Seeing a win and feeling a win is important and especially going into the playoffs. Going to buffalo, which is a very good football team. We're going to be confident. Thompson completed 20 to 31 for a 152 yards and no interceptions to help the dolphins snap a 5 game skid. The Bengals beat the ravens 27 16 to avoid a coin flip for home field when the two teams meet again in the AFC playoffs next weekend. Cincinnati scored touchdowns off three first half turnovers by quarterback Anthony Brown. Joe burrow was 25 of 42 for 215 yards one touchdown and no interceptions. If he didn't win this one, I guess technically we would have won the division, but wouldn't have felt like it. So it's good to get this one. We're going to have to play better next week to get the win. Especially me. The bills played inspired ball less than a week after teammate demar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest during a game. Gene battaglia reports. On a day filled with emotion, the Buffalo Bills won the regular season finale against New England Patriots, 35 to 23. Naim Heinz buffalo returned the opening kick-off for a touchdown. It also get another kick-off return for a score. Bill's quarterback Josh Allen says, after seeing that opening play, he knew it would be their day. I can't remember a play that touched me like that. And I don't think in my life. Buffalo finished the season at 13 and three, and now they are the second seed and will host the Miami Dolphins in the wild card round. Ryan leong was at the forty-niners, went over the Cardinals. For the first time in franchise history, the forty-niners ended the season on a ten game win streak after convincing 38 to 13 win over the Cardinals. The forty-niners are locked in as the number two seat in the upcoming NFC playoffs. Brock purdy was 15 of 20 for a 178 yards and three touchdowns. We look at it as a challenge, but we're also excited because it's like, man, if we do play to our full potential, it's like, what else could we do? So those are the kind of things that we ask ourselves every day and we're excited about, but I'm excited moving forward for being on a win streak. In the final game of his career, JJ watt had two sacks and 5 total tackles, but the Cardinals lost 7 straight to finish at four and 13. The bears were 29 13 losers to the Vikings, and the Texans earned a 32 31 win over the colts. That means the bears will have the number one pick in the draft for the first time since 1947. "Crushingly difficult prior to a patch that they did for everybody. And I don't mean crushingly like it ruined people's lives, but I do remember people were like, I'm good at dark souls and I can't do this. Now, I find that funny because I'll be really good at one game and in the same genre because of the way the game works. I'm not good at the other one. I don't know if some people just think they're going to be good at every single thing, but that's not how it works. It can take a little bit of time and return it was a different style of game. It was far different than any of these others, including speed and what you had to watch out for, how you had to play the game. It's been patched multiple times quality of life patches that have really brought this into a much more easily digestible situation for a lot of gamers. And then it's also coming to PC. Now, it does have some high PC specs. That's most likely what we're seeing is developers using ram to replace the NVMe that's in the consoles because for the most part, PC owners are usually using SSD. NVMe is certainly made some inroads, but due to its cost and just how big and SSD a lot of people have their OS on an SSD. So what they want to do is they offset that caching that occurs on your console and they put it onto the NVMe. We saw with forspoken as well using direct storage in getting that instant load. And that will use some ram. So it's got a high ram requirement. But I think Returnal is going to do gangbusters as long as there isn't a technical issue with it. Now I say as long as there isn't a technical issue with it like that could possibly not happen. We've seen a lot of issues with these titles in these ports. We've had a couple of good ports from Sony and a couple terrible ports. And I don't mean terribles in forever. But I mean, they launched in a rougher state than they would have liked. You could say the next one would be tales of symphonia or the settlers new allies. Those are both coming out on the 17th, but you also have wild hearts coming out on the 17th, and here's the problem. It comes three days before atomic heart. And that's two heart games. Now this has been brought up multiple times. Will that cause people to be confused or that kind of stuff? Probably not, but they do share the same headspace tidal wise. That does happen. For example, you have Returnal and for spoken, and I know some people in their head when you think of one, you think of the other because the names are weird. Return on forspoken are like, those are weird names. So that kind of stuff does come up.
Seahawks keep postseason hopes alive, top Rams 19-16 in OT
"The Seattle Seahawks outlasted the Los Angeles Rams for a 1613 victory in overtime. Gino Smith overcame a pair of Jalen Ramsey interceptions to pass for 213 yards on a touchdown for Seattle. There's a lot of game left to play. As you can see, man, it took all the way to overtime for us to finally pull it out, but you know, when you start like that, you know, it's tough, but you just got to keep playing. Kenneth walker added 114 rushing yards to the Seahawks. The defending Super Bowl champion rams ended the season with a 5 and 12 record. Jim Bernard, Seattle

"We are so glad to have you on the show. People maybe were a little concerned with the change from radio to podcasts that we'd lose some of our great contributors. I intend to get every one of them back on. And man, we're not giving up Sam because he's the king, and this is a great week to talk to Sam. There was a lot of stuff. The automotive stuff at CES. There was. I mean, I had a crazy schedule while I was there. I didn't even actually get to see all of the stuff that I'm going to talk about in person because I have meetings, usually my CES schedule is booked solid by about mid December. So I had meetings from like 8 in the morning till about 5 36 o'clock every night. Dinner with a different company, different events to go to, so it was a very long week, and I was glad to get home. But there was some really cool stuff. A lot of the stuff that I did see is stuff that's relevant to my work that I'm sure if we had like a 16 hour show, I could probably share most of that stuff. But we got to take a break for the network sounder at the bottom of the hour, so thanks, no, we don't have to do that anymore. But there are a few things that I would, you know, I think the audience is going to be interested in looking forward to learning a little bit more about electric vehicles that are coming to market over the next couple of years. And I would say the big one literally and figuratively was the ram revolution concept. Dodge Ram Truck ram. Well, it's not Dodge ram anymore. Back about 2010. Ram, its own stand-alone brand. Chrysler. So it's just ram ram 1500. Coming next year is the ram 1500 EV. And the revolution concept is a preview of that truck. And we will actually be seeing the production intent version of that truck in a few months. I had a chance to chat with Mike koval earlier this week who is the head of the ram brand at Stellantis. And so he told me that they will be showing the production intent truck and sometime in the spring.
Republicans Calling Other Republicans as Insurrectionists, Terrorists
"You're railing and you're calling these 20 Republicans insurrectionists like Brian kilmeade did over at Fox News, insurrectionists know your audience. Most of the people who watch you on TV are with them. So you've just called them insurrectionists. Terrorists and good people are doing this. I mean, these are not people that I dislike that I'm calling out. Ben domenech. I love the guy. He's one of my favorite pundits and voices in America today. I mean, when I had him on the show last year or years ago, I was the happiest guy in the world. He's smart, he's funny. He's married, you know, to Meghan McCain. And he used the terrorism image yesterday. What? Terrorism? Because conservative members of the House want to be on the rules committee? Because they're tired of things being rammed through and bills being passed like the $1.7 trillion omnibus, and they want an accounting. They want to reckoning, they want some accountability from Republican Party leadership. That's terrorism? The heck is wrong with these people?

You have enough for debt a month ago, the Green Bay Packers dominated the NFC north champion Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field 41 17 for their fourth in a row. Fell behind three to nothing after a block pond early, but keyshawn Nixon took the next kick-off back a 105 yards for a touchdown packers didn't stop until it was 41 three, midway through the fourth. This one out 12 and four while the 8 and 8 packers need only to beat the Detroit Lions in their finale at home to secure the NFC's final wild card spot. The Lions also enjoyed a blowout win. Denny cap was there. The lion's defense sacks Justin Fields 7 times in a 41 ten route of the bears, Lions rookie James Houston tally three sacks in just a 6 game of the season and now leads all NFL rookies with 8 of them on the year as his team stays in the playoff hunt, improving the 8 and 8. We coming together as a team, everybody is getting better, man. Everybody's doing their job. Everybody's executing when they're supposed to execute. Houston also forced a fumble of fields who completed just 7 of 21 for 75 yards. The Seahawks also have postseason hopes. Jim Bernard has the details. The Seattle Seahawks kept their playoff hopes alive with a 23 6 win over the New York Jets. Gino Smith passed for 183 yards and two touchdowns as the seahawk snapped a three game losing streak. Obviously, we hit a rough patch and it's not what we want, but we still got a shot. And so what we can control is winning next week, another tough opponent. But all we can do is control what we can control and look at the situation at hand. The jets committed three turnovers to drop their fist straight game, which eliminated them from postseason contention. The Giants have extended their season, Mike mancuso reports. The Giants have clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 with a 38 to ten win over Indianapolis. Daniel Jones led the way he threw for a 177 yards and two TDs. He ran for 91 yards with touchdown runs of 18 and ten yards. Just to exciting, I think, like I said, we've been through some been through some tough times and to be on this side of it is a lot of fun. Landon Collins returned the Nick Foles and interception, 52 yards for a touchdown as the Giants built a 24 to three halftime lead. The eagles must have the chance to clinch the top seat in the NFC playoffs. Here's Michael luongo. The states picked up their third straight, where were they 2010 went over the eagles, New Orleans, took the 7th thing, they didn't know one yard run by Taysom Hill. They sealed the victory when Marshawn latimer put another pass by Gardner and menchu and ran it back 11 yards for a score and a Dalton through two to four yards for the saints who improved the 7 and 9 when you look at how you finish the season. There's a lot to say for that and there's a lot that you can carry over and you want to be playing your best football at the end of the year and I feel like we're doing that. Mention had one touchdown pass for the Bridget is still clinched against the eastern Division Championship and the number one overall seed with the win next week. Eric waddell watched the Buccaneers clinch a playoff birth. Tampa Bay out lasted Carolina 30 to 24. The win for the bucks clinched the NFC south title, bucks wide receiver Chris Godwin had a 120 receiving yards and says his team is building for whoever Tampa plays in the playoff. My legacy gets anybody, man. You know, and I feel like we, you know, we still got a ways to go. We still got some things that we got to work on. But, you know, that was a big step for us. The Patriots still have playoff hopes. Gregg cadets, reports. The New England Patriots kept their playoff hopes alive with a 23 21 come from behind victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots took the lead for good in a third quarter interception return for a touchdown by Kyle Duggar. The pick 6 made it four straight weeks at the Patriots defense escort a touchdown. "Shortly before Christmas, Sam bankman freed the disgraced founder of FTX and Alameda research was arrested by authorities in The Bahamas. After spending a few days in the notorious Fox hill prison there, he was extradited to the United States and promptly bailed on a $250 million bond. He's now at his parents house in California, awaiting trial. The saga of FTX and Alameda drags on. Shortly before SPF's arrest, I sat down with ram ahluwalia an expert on both digital assets and the world of traditional finance to discuss the situation as it was then and try to understand how it ever managed to get so far. Ram had recently published some intriguing threads on Twitter, outlining his unique perspective on what happened, and I wanted him to elaborate on them. There have been a fair few developments since we had our conversation, but the vast majority of what we discussed is still relevant. Ram argues that the seeds of this crisis were sown further back than many believe and that SPF and some of his close colleagues perpetrated a fraud bigger even than that of Bernie Madoff. He also explains some of the ins and outs of high finance, helping shed light on some of the more complex aspects of what FTX and Alameda were involved in. This was a fascinating discussion to have and rams expertise on the matter is second to none. He's well worth following on Twitter and I'll leave links to his page and other useful resources about him in the description of this episode. Enjoy the show. Hello, everyone. We're very lucky today to be joined by a special guest, ram ahluwalia, ram has an extraordinary CV really. He's worked in finance for over 20 years. He held senior positions at the likes of Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. And then went on to be head of crypto and digital assets at cross river, and is now the cofounder and CEO of luminar wealth, and that's a private investment company that specializes in digital assets. Ram, thank you so much for joining us today. I really appreciate it. Thanks for having me, I happen to be here. It's great to have you. And run the reason I wanted to talk to you today was because obviously this CV of yours, you have perhaps better insight than anyone else into, I guess, the kind of mysteries of high finance, you know, the inner workings of the financial system. And of course, because you specialize in digital assets, how they sort of interlink with the world of crypto.
Craig Shirley: Mitch McConnell Purposely Undercut House Republicans
"So as you look to this next Congress then, you've got Mitch McConnell hurrying to cut a deal with Democrats before members of his own party get the control in the House chamber. That seemed to me to be a thumb in the eye or just a cheap shot to show McCarthy and whoever is the speaker who's boss. Yeah, no, exactly right, Jeff. It was done. It was hurried under the cover of darkness before the new Congress could come in and take control. And now they're going to try to ram it down our throats with the house folk. Is that so it's just, you know, the contents of the package is money for the United Nations, money for abortion clinics, money for this. Michelle Michelle Obama trail and Georgia. It's just a lot of waste fraud and abuse. Washington is completely out of control and much of the Republican Party. I think I'm only speaking for myself, Jeff. But I think a lot of people around the country are just disgusted with the Republican Party as well as the Democratic Party. They see both of them part of the same corruption.

A recap of Week 16 of the NFL season
"NFL week 16 roundup. I'm Dave ferry. The Buccaneers remain atop the NFC south after scoring the last 13 points in a 1916 overtime win at Arizona. Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles. I think it was a total effort in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. Defense getting stopped and the offense cashing in timely plays seemed like we play better in the fourth quarter if we can transfer that to the other three, you know, it would be pretty consistent, but it was a hard fork when we needed it. We got it. No matter how pretty it looked or it didn't look pretty. Ryan suck up entered it by hitting a 40 yard field goal and tied it on a 42 yard kick with two 27 left in regulation. The rally began after the Cardinals took a 16 6th lead on James Connors 22 yard scoring run with ten 47 remaining in regulation. Tom Brady threw for 281 yards, one TD and two interceptions. I would play better there in the fourth quarter. We executed pretty well. Hit a bunch of Brooks and tackles, you know, ran hard, a lot of guys made plays in the past games and contested catches. Got to hear as soon as they caught it and came up with it. So defense really stepped up. This was a great way to down ten in the fourth quarter on the road. It's great to find a way to win. Trace mcsorley had 217 passing yards and his first NFL start, but the Cardinals fell to four and 11. The packers playoff hopes are very much alive after they intercepted to a tongue of violet on three consecutive possessions, securing a 26 20 win at Miami. The first pick set up mason Crosby's tie breaking field goal early in the fourth quarter. Tongue of valoa was intercepted with 6 minutes left. And again, around the two minute warning. It was just terrible how everything ended. And like I told the guys, that's on me and I'll definitely get better from that. Aaron Rodgers threw for 238 yards and a touchdown as Green Bay improved to 7 or 8. A half came out of a playoff spot with two games remaining. Considering where we were a few weeks ago, a lot has happened in our favor. All the games that need to go a certain way win a certain way. Now there's obviously much much left. But again, we're going to be we played meaningful games in December. We want all three of those. Now we're playing meaningful games in January. We got to win those. The 8 and 7 dolphins led 20 to ten before losing their fourth in a row. Jaylen waddle and tyreek hill each had over 100 yards receiving. The defending Super Bowl champs finally enjoyed a blowout win. Mark Myers was there. Cam Akers ran for three touchdowns part of the rams 51 to 14 Christmas Day win against the Broncos. I mean, it's a big deal, you know, obviously I helped to contribute to a win today, so that's pretty much the biggest. The biggest highlight of it for me, you know, Christmas Day, we gotta win. Baker Mayfield through two touchdown passes to Tyler higbee and Kobe Durant had an 85 yard pick 6. Denver's Russell Wilson threw one touchdown three interceptions and was sacked 6 times. It was the 5th time Wilson has thrown three interceptions. They're more in a game. Twice against the rams. We feel like we can be better. We feel like we're more capable of being better or feel like we've had some good moments and all that. But nobody wants to put out what we put out today. That was terrible. The Chargers will face the colts on Monday night. Los Angeles will clench an AFC playoff birth with a win. Next week, the bills can clinch the number one seed in the AFC with a victory over the Bengals and a loss by the chiefs against the Broncos. Should the Bengals beat the bills and their ravens fall to Pittsburgh, Cincinnati wins the AFC north. The Jaguars are in control of the AFC south and take on the Texans in Houston. Jacksonville could lose that game and still capture the division by beating the Titans in week 18. The eagles will take the number one seat in the NFC by winning one of their last two games or having the Vikings split their last two games. A victory over the cults will put the Giants in the NFC playoffs. I'm Dave ferry, AP sports.
Mayfield, Akers lead Rams' 51-14 blowout of Wilson's Broncos

President Donald Trump Urges Republicans to Reject Omnibus Bill
"Biden and the radical Democrats are trying to ram through this monstrosity in the dark of night when no one is even had a chance to read its over 4000 pages crammed with left wing disasters. Washington betrayals and special interests sellouts all designed to keep the corruption going without lifting a single finger to solve the problems that matter to hardworking families and Americans. The bill provides $1.9 billion for so called border management to process illegal aliens and release them into our country, but it incredibly prohibits those funds from ever being used for border security. To prevent illegal aliens from coming in in the first place. And most importantly, we're giving $500 million to other countries for border security and for the building of walls. Can you believe this? But we're not allowed to use any money for border security or the building of walls. This bill will make the border worse. It will make crime worse. It will make the economy worse. It will make inflation worse. It will make every single one of Joe Biden's total catastrophes even more ruinous and damaging to our country. Our country is going to hell because of what they've done in the last two years. Passing a spending bill now before Republicans take control of Congress on January 3rd, which squander our best chance to hold Biden fully accountable and force him to secure the border in the new year. Mitch McConnell, who is an absolute disaster, by the way, must not be allowed to waste this golden opportunity.
Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu says he has formed a new coalition
"Israel's designated prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that he has successfully formed a new coalition. Moments before a midnight deadline, Netanyahu called his ready president Isaac Herzog to announce that he had formed a new government. The coalition is to be the most right wing government ever to hold power in Israel so far, the announcement triggered mixed reactions from his radi waking up to the news. Local Jerusalem residents akiva Yoel Ariel saw the move as a step in the right direction. Government that will do a lot of good for the nation of Israel built the country, build new settlements. Packers defeat Rams 24-12 to keep playoff hopes alive
"The Green Bay Packers kept their playoff hopes alive by beating the Los Angeles Rams 24 12 out of 15° Monday night at Lambeau Field. AJ Dillon rushed for a pair of scores Aaron Jones catching an Aaron Rodgers touchdown. Rogers on the 6 and 8 packs still with a heartbeat. We've got two. Got two in the bag. I knew that we had to win 5. And then have a lot of things go our way. So we won two, and just about everything we've needed to happen has gone our way, just about, right? So things are looking up. Baker Mayfield made his first LA start, but the depleted offense produced only a 156 yards. He got sacked 5 times the defending champs officially out at four and ten, Mark Daniels, Green Bay.

"AP sports arm Tom Miriam, Monday Night Football, the packers kept their slim playoff hopes alive by defeating the reeling rams 24 to 12. Aaron Rodgers 22 at 30 for 229 yards and the touchdown to fuel optimism over the seasons last month in Green Bay. So I won two and just about everything we've needed to happen has gone our way. Just about, right? So things are looking up. And NFL injury news eagles quarterback Jalen hurts is hurting. The MVP candidate hurt his shoulder and Sunday's win over the bears and his questionable to start Saturday's game against the cowboys. NBA Donovan Mitchell scored a team high 23 points in his first game against the jazz and his trade to the Cavaliers over the summer and Cleveland's went over Utah. It was just a lot of fun just being out there playing against guys I've been playing with and coaching staff that I've been with my whole career and really helped me grow to be who I am today. Joel embiid scored 28 points as the 76ers staved off a second half raptors rally. At the end of the third and the beginning of the fort, but we've reacted. Also victorious, the sun's hawk spurs thunder Timberwolves hornets, and the box who defeated the pelicans as Giannis poured in 42. NHL, Alex Ovechkin remains one goal behind Gordie Howe for second all time in NHL history as he went scoreless in the capitals overtime win over the team for whom Howe played almost his entire NHL career, the red wings, but Nick dowd scored twice for the caps. To come from behind and then come from behind again, the very next shift. And then win in overtime, especially that was one of our biggest crowds of the year. So that felt really good for our team. The league leading bruins got two third period goals from Patrice bergeron to deny a Panthers come back. Sitting on leaves and I think we have to get away from that and keep being on our toes and keep pushing, you know, no matter what the score is. Other NHL winners, the avalanche stars, Sabres, Canadians, predators and blues. I'm Tom, AP sports.
Highlights of Sunday's action in the NFL's Week 15
"Week 15, NFL roundup. I'm Ben Thomas, Sunday's action saw two more overtime games, but neither qualifies as the wildest finish of the weekend. That was in Las Vegas, with the Raiders beat the Patriots. Ryan lyong explains how. The Raiders scored on a crazy play as time expired to beat the Patriots 30 to 24 with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and the game tied the Patriots tried to extend a 23 yard run by ramonda Stevenson, but a second lateral by Jacoby Myers was fumbled and recovered by the Raiders Chandler Jones who ran it back 48 yards for the game winning touchdown. At first I was thinking who's around me. And I felt myself stumbled a little bit after the stiff arm. And that was thinking, who do I pitch it to that? I was just trying to, you know, keep the ball alive. It's when I stayed up, I just turned the jets on and the rest was history. Derek Carr was 20 of 38 for 231 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals Buccaneers game in Tampa matched two division leaders led by two marquee quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Joe burrow. Early on, this was dominated by Brady and the bucks who jumped out to a 17 and nothing lead, but as Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said, his team didn't panic and capitalized on four Tampa turnovers. When we create them, turn those, we got to go get them touchdowns, and not three. So I think the turning point was the offense rallying off the defense and making those turnovers into touchdowns. Boyd caught one of Joe burrow's four touchdown passes as the Bengals scored 34 consecutive points, cruising to a 34 23 win. Eric waddell, Tampa. Now one of the games that went to OT, Denny cap. The Jaguars overcome a 17 point second half deficit to stun the cowboys 40 34 and overtime. Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence through three of his four touchdowns in the second half, hitting receivers a Jones on three of those four scores. I think it says a lot about this team, how much we trust one another. Widely Patterson sent the game to overtime on a 48 yard field goal as time expired, that set up rayshawn Jenkins for the game winning pick 6 of dak Prescott as Jacksonville improved a 6 and 8 on the season, Noah Brown caught a pair of touchdowns for the cowboys who saw four game winning streaks now and fell to ten and four. I'm Denny cap. The cowboys have clinched a playoff spot, but there are lots of winning the NFC east have gotten longer with the eagles surviving a trip to a frigid soldier field in Chicago. I really couldn't feel my hands. Equals quarterback, Jalen hurts. Didn't really have good vision on the field. In some, I never play anything that cold. Still, final score eagles 25 bears 20. The other two teams in the NFC east still have a shot at a wild card. Craig heist has the outcome of the Giants trip to Washington. Rookie pass rusher kayvon thibodeau had a strip sack of Taylor heinicke and a recovery for a touchdown while saquon Barkley rushed for a touchdown in 87 yards as the Giants beat the commanders 20 to 12. Barkley and the Giants are inching closer to the playoffs. Big win for us and, you know, playing meaningful games here in December, you know, is where you want to be. Heineken through for a touchdown pass, but was also sacked three times. The Giants improved to 8 5 and one while the commanders fall to 7.6 in one. Craig heist land over Maryland. The lines and jets are both now 7 and 7, but one of them is feeling a lot better about it than the other, Mike mancuso was at this one. The Lions continued their playoff push with the 20 to 17 win over the jets, trailing 17 to 13 with one 49 remaining on a fourth and one Jared Goff hit tight end, Brock Wright, who rumbled 51 yards for the go ahead TD. I know we had it, knew the cutback would be there, and I just thought, run as fast as I can, getting that into. Jets quarterback, Zach Wilson, who threw for 317 yards, got the jets set up for a field goal of one second remaining, but Greg sirloin missed from 58 yards. Other finals, the chiefs survived a trip to Houston beating the Texans 30 to 24 in overtime. The Chargers topped the Titans 1714, the Steelers put a 24 16 pounding on the Panthers, the saints so with the falcons 21 18, while the wolf will Broncos be the spiraling Cardinals 24 15. Monday night the Los Angeles Rams play the packers and what should be a rather frigid Lambeau Field and possible snow. I'm Ben Thomas, AP sports
Baker cooks: Newcomer Mayfield rallies Rams past Vegas 17-16
"Less than 48 hours after joining the rams quarterback Baker Mayfield rallied his new team to a thrilling 1716 win against the Raiders Mayfield through 23 yards to van Jefferson for the winning score with only ten seconds to play. Obviously, we'd like to be a little bit more stress free, but it's a pretty damn good story. Mayfield finished with 22 completions for 230 yards as LA ends a 6 game losing streak, Vegas Josh Jacobs rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. Mark Myers englewood California

"ram" Discussed on NFL Live
"Then NFC west rivalry, rams and forty-niners. Rams 24 17. The last thing I care about is being wrong. I'm picking a rims. I am more faith in this rams offense. Both sides. The sack. No, no. Stafford. This one is picked, there goes the funga touchdowns. Anyone want to change their pick? I'm not trying to mind. Terrific catching run. Ramsey can't bring him down. Samuel highlight reel touchdown. That is going to do it. The forty-niners are going to win it. I think it's best in the league. The NFL live curse is a lot of the level of starting off today. Well, this is a better way to start this. We all could have picked the forty-niners. We didn't. By the way, welcome to the show. We just hope that we don't pick your team to win. Marcus spears rides our dinner last year for the hour. All right, no one felt good about it. So you don't do it. You weren't the guy. Did you pick? I don't like the segregation. Come over here. Come on, man. Come over there. Good call. You're right. There we go. Later in the show. And if we're diversity matters, touch my hand. ESPN. Later in the show, an offensive trend that Dan is noticing that's taking the NFL back in time. In a crime is going to join for that discussion. But first, let's get back to Monday Night Football. I want to keep this orchestra music going. Rams against the forty-niners. We're going to pick it up late in the first. The forty-niners show in three zero and toss to Jeff Wilson junior, he goes untouched. This one down with my guy, RT on touch street Tuesdays. What a beautiful plate design. Great speed bungalows. In the second quarter, third and three for San Francisco, Jimmy Garoppolo the debo Samuel leaping grab. I mean, one of the biggest weapons if not the biggest weapon in all of the NFL, not great tackling by the rams, but you see what he does better than anybody. Get the ball in his hands, he gonna make something special like we're going to see this on a Twitter video breakdown. Yeah. Could be a jury rice was a fan in doing rams possession. The amador lenore gets a free run at Matt Stafford takes him down. That was the theme, Dan. The front by San Francisco, but also the blitz is by the rise of defensive coordinator red dominant. Forty-niners ahead now 17 and 9 in the fourth quarter, I had regrets about picking the rims. Why do we have to do touch screen Tuesday so plays an interception that get returned for touchdowns on Matthew Stafford? Because that's how it goes. Stop going on the other people we wouldn't. It's a great play. Drive it, throw it right through them. He got quiet right now. He didn't want to break that one down. Two minutes to go, ran deep in forty-niners territory, Stafford strip sacked there. And Stafford was sacked 7 times in this game, the forty-niners win this one 24 to 9. Once again, we all picked the rams. We're owning it. We stink. We let her next week. We didn't love it. The forty-niners outscored the rams tend to nothing in the fourth quarter continuing an alarming trend for LA that you see there. The rams have been outscored 44 to three in the fourth quarter this season. That's the worth fourth quarter point differential in the NFL. Three of Matthew Stafford's league high 6 interceptions have come in the fourth quarter, including that costly pick 6 last night. So Dan, what happened to the rams offense? I mean, four other 6 offensive I'm around. I mean, these aren't excuses, the realities, I did not expect all those bodies to be out. Honestly, in any offense, it's going to struggle in that situation. When you get into that world and this is what it felt like watching for Sean mcvay. What can we do? You know, you're sitting here going, okay, what can we get to now? We can't protect it. What can we do this now? Our guys can't hold up and that's kind of the big takeaway and I know there's a theory of, well, they've got to stop throwing it to Cooper Cup. I have my opinion on that, but I would hope that San Francisco's defensive line would dominate an offensive line that was down four starters and four of their top 6 guys. I don't think it's that simple, though, right? 'cause you get to make a decision if your defensive coordinator D'amico Ryan, you get to say, I feel like we can rush with four because they are a decimated up front. Or you could say, you know what? We're going to put a whole can of whip on them and we're going to blitz, right? We're going to bring extra people. So not only are you decimated not only do you not have the guys to go above the X's and O's, we're also going to make you think. And Marcus mentions this all the time when he's talking about the front. It's like a basketball team, right? All those guys have to be tied in. So now we're going to make you do things. Right. Exactly. So when you look at what he was able to do, it was take advantage of inexperience. Take advantage of reps and I thought that was a great adjustment by the mikko Ryan to say, we're going to come at you at you put pressure on Matthew Stafford and force him into mistakes. And Marcus, you agreed that the O line was an issue, but you had a bigger issue with the scheme in the passage. And of Cuba cup to me was too much. And then because throughout the duration of a game as we give them credit for the blitzing and knowing what's understanding, we know Cooper Cup is a haub high value catcher. That's not the argument. The argument is at what point do you adjust and you find another way? Because last time I take something, making a lot of money to figure out those things. That you said he couldn't figure out. Maybe stack a different wide receiver. Maybe figure out how to get a, get a alignment. That's going to get Allen Robinson open. Your free Adrian acquisition. I saw a possession right after the interception where he threw the blanton. He threw the scrawny. He hit me and he also hit Cooper Cup. Right. I didn't see that throughout the duration of the game. But here's my thought. So honestly, after watching last night and I've been feeling this way, the ramps have no shot at getting back to the Super Bowl without OBJ. No shot. They do not get OBJ. They're done. I understand your point of valent Robinson because we all had higher expectations. Alan Robinson's legs are gone. They're done. Wow. You can not get open. Marcus, his average yard of separation. When he runs his routes, is 1.99 yards. That is ranked 144th out of 145 guys. But let me make sure this question. He kicked it open? No, legit question, though. So what's the job of the coach where you pay to go three year $45 million? If you see a guy that can't create separation, what you got to do with that. Alignment. Try to, but if you're in those games and you're the coach and the quarterback, you're going to try to create separation for a guy that you think legs are done or you're going to try to create separation for the guy that's proven. When you've watched Alan Robinson play as the defensive back, he's never created a ton of separation to me, but he's a guy who's a hell of a 50 50 ball catcher. He's a dude with an extreme catch radius. And if we're going to continue to talk about Matthew Stafford as a guy that could be in the Hall of Fame, you're supposed to be able to put the ball into places that Blake bortles put it that Mitchell trubisky put it that Nick Foles put it that allowed Alan Robinson who I never thought was about separation to be a thousand yard receiver year after year after year. And this is not let me be clear. This is not for me. This is not about Matthew Stafford. This is about the guru son. Yes. You get a screen jump for a pick 6 because everybody knew what a ball was going. It's just as simple as that for me. And I get it. You want to feed your guys that can make plays. But ultimately deal, if you have any shot at getting this corrected, you gonna have to use more. They need to be gay. Yeah. Scheme it up for OBJ, or maybe who you have on the team. But either way, if we're talking about OBJ later in the show, we're going to hear from a former MVP who makes a case for adding OBJ to that roster, different team. Okay, to the latest details in Dallas, where Dax Prescott had an important doctor's appointment today, mainly checking his hand strength. Can he grip the football the way he needs to at this point with that thumb injury and the recovery? Here's jury Jones with more today. It's better. He said, going to go out there every day and make progress toward being able to grip the ball. Considering the location of the injury, I don't know that you could make any more progress. Is he able to grip the football now? No, not well enough to play. We're just starting the week. Let's see how the week goes. By the way, shout out to one O 5 three the fan for that great follow up question. Like, can he actually grip the ball? We check in on our injury report here. You just heard what Jerry Jones said about dak, Marcus, how important is it for the cowboys to get Zach

"Ever made. Tom Cruise, a gun maverick, Wikipedia 13. All right, before we go, Rohan, you have to take the least popular quiz show in America more than four, but fewer than 6 questions and I think I take the odds this week. And Ron, you're coming on in the right week because Albert breer just set the bar below the bottom of the ocean last week with going one for 5 here. You guys, you guys have booked rear. That's a big get for you guys. Look at you. It is sweet. It took a lot of wrangling. It was, well, no, it's the second most Twitter followers for any guests we've ever had. What Peter? Peter king being the first. There you go. You guys got Peter king on this show too? Look at you guys. And Warren Buffett next week. All right, first question, the category is theater and the arts, which what is happening right now? I have no idea what's happening right now. None. Which the who song is used as the theme song for the David Caruso vehicle, CSI, Miami. Can I answer? Yeah. Won't get fooled again. There you go. Very good. Dude, see you tomorrow, Miami. Come on, that show was a legendary. You didn't think I didn't watch that all the time? We knew you did. The category two marine biology on the classic dolphins logo, what color is the M on the dolphin's helmet? Orange? Yes. Yeah, yeah. Oh man, I'll read you. Yeah, I was gonna say you've already quadrupled Albert's score. I honestly don't know what's happening. It's like I walked into the cash tab. It's like all of a sudden I'm being asked trivia questions. That's the vibe. That's the vibe we've been going for. One time when I was in high school, I was at like a journalism convention in Orlando, and it was like, I was with the student newspaper, but the student CVP were there too. And we did something called cash left, where we just waited in the hotel. Elevator when people walked in, we said they were on a trivia game show. Did anyone play? And then they were almost everyone played almost everyone. And then you were just like, you know what I mean? I had some change in my pockets, like you'd get like a dollar or something. That's really good. Yeah. Question number three, the category is linguistics. As you know, a non count noun is, of course, a noun that exists as a mass or an abstract quantity that can not be counted and therefore does not become plural by simply adding the letter S to it. For instance, the Miami Heat, the Orlando Magic, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Utah Jazz, all NBA teams, of course. True or false, the NFL currently has zero teams with names that are non count nouns. Oh my God, I'm literally running through every division in my head. Wow. I'm gonna go true. They all have, they're all some animal or some dumb thing. Well, I guess Washington's the commander. Yeah, all right, so I'm going true zero zero non count nouns. Very good. Even got the catch, which is the football team were. Yes. A year ago, but are no longer. Very good. Wow. Very good three for three. Fantastic. Category four, Gary. Okay, I get it. It was supposed to be topography, but Gary made it trough photography. And I have a hard time reading so that was a I'm locking myself through it here with baby steps. Rohan, who is the only Heisman Trophy winner to also play in the NBA? Charlie ward. Nick's ledges. Very good. And if NFL teams weren't so racist, he probably wouldn't have been a fantastic quarterback, but man, this is it. You can max out of here that's a question 5 is the Moneyball, so it's worth two. Category is, we'll call this Rohan ology. Roland, you are a Florida native. Now living in California, this is a question about those two states, which of those states teams had more individual victories this past postseason. I should say that the 2022 calendar year posters. So we're talking about NFL NBA and NHL playoffs. And I'm talking about individual victories, not you know, like if you lose a series four to three, you get three for that. But which team, excuse me, which state Florida or California had more individual postseason victories in 2022. So it's NBA NFL and NHL. Yep. All right, well the rams had what three. California did California have any other NFL teams in the playoffs, the forty-niners won a couple games. This is the entire state of California, correct. The entire state, correct, correct. Okay, because the heat had quite a few, they had 11, but I don't think we had and we had very few NHL ones. So that my Florida's top route around 13. Do you have the numbers in front of you? I do, I do. Can you, can you confirm? No, you know, you'd rather not. You'd rather not. No, you're four for four. You're at the Moneyball. Yes. This is big stuff. I'm going, so I'm trying to think of the kings made the playoffs in the west. I think so. I'm going to take a swing here. I don't know it, but I'm going to guess Florida by a hair. Wow. Oh my God, I thought you were going to go California. You got it. There we go. There we go. I will say you were nowhere close on the numbers, but yes, Florida had Florida had 30 California had 25. The lightning, the lightning. I don't acknowledge the lightning because they knocked out my Florida Panthers. There you go. Pantsers had four Buccaneers had won and then California had 25. That's the warriors of 16 rams before LA kings with three in the forty-niners with two, that was really good. There we go. So joining Richard Johnson as the only other perfect game on the show. He's on the leaderboard right now. So I beat brier, who else have I beaten? Jenny Francis? Okay, that's the one I wanted to know. That's the one I wanted to know. Steps. Immediately. Okay, I'm not going to text stuff I've seen way too much respect. Not that I don't have a lot of respect for Jenny. More willing to make fun of her. About it. But that's okay, so okay, so I've eaten some heavy hitters. Peter king. Okay, all I'm going to say is I've beaten every senior writer that's got to mean something. If you guys want to just put in a good word for me with the bosses. A 100%. You absorb their salaries. It feels a little bit, you know, that's just something. "Game. Coming off a year in which led the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and was named Super Bowl MVP, there was little doubt that Cooper Cup had earned himself a massive new deal that deal came to life on Wednesday in the form of a three year. $80 million extension was 75 million guaranteed. Here's cup. With more on his new deal. I thought it was just going to be, okay, it was kind of a cool thing. And certainly he's one of those people that's had a hand and being able to be in this place. And I have the opportunity to extend my career here in Los Angeles, your quarterback plays a huge role in that. So a little bit of a nod to Matthew Stafford in that way. One, I thought it was just going to be, okay, it was kind of a cool thing. And certainly he's one of those people that's had a hand and being able to be in this place. And I have the opportunity to extend my career here in Los Angeles, your quarterback plays a huge role in that. So a little bit of a nod to Matthew Stafford in that way. All right, so Louis, the rams have been really busy. Aaron Donald Matthew Stafford, amongst those players, already got extensions. But how important was this signing specifically for LA? Look, I think it's on par with the importance that resigning Aaron Donald had. Look, I think Cooper Cup is one of the is without a doubt on offense. He's the guy that makes it all go. Well, now obviously quarterbacks are the guys who are the focal point for just about for every franchise, but Cooper Cup makes it go. And if you ask Sean mcvay, they can't do what they do. They can't have the success that they have, philosophically, without Cooper Cup. Why? Because in the run game, he's the guy who makes it all go with his blocking on the edge. When they're in 11 personnel, it's like they can turn it into a turn him into another tight end, and he can secure the edge better than most tight ends in the NFL. And then when they're throwing the football, look, it speaks for itself in terms of the volume that this guy gets every game 14 of 17 games last year. He has double digit targets. In the three games that he didn't have double digit targets, two out of three of those games, he still won over a hundred yards. One game, 7 targets, 7 receptions over a hundred yards. So he produces in the passing game, everyone knows they're going to him and they still don't stop him. And in the run game, he's the guy who's The X Factor as far as secured in the edge on that outside zone, dominated run scheme. So I'll tell you this too. This is the last thing I'll say. There's nobody in my 30 years in the NFL other than Aaron Donald, who's on the same team as him, who is more respected. Coaches, front office, and players as much as Cooper Cup is respected out there. That's the kind of guy that gets 75 million fully guaranteed. Simple as that. Well, the first thing I want to say is this, whoever is managing the cap for the Los Angeles Rams, can you please come do my taxes? I would truly appreciate if you could work the numbers for my taxes. The way that you work the numbers for the salary cap. That is first and foremost. Secondly, I love what the rams are doing. The rams are about producing for us. They're about the right now model. If you're Jalen Ramsey and we get you from J Bill, you ball out, you get paid. If you're Aaron Donald and we drive you and you outplay even where we drafted you are, you act, you get paid. Cooper Cup. You outplay your contract, you get paid. I love what they do, whether you are homegrown or you are acquired. If you do what you need to do positionally for the rams, you get that bag. And when Cooper Cup did last year was absolutely phenomenal. Every week he went out and the doom standing across from him got cooked and he got cooked and you could count on him and now he's being rewarded for that. RC, just by the way, to answer your question about who does the ram salary cap? It's 20 past stores, play football at Dartmouth. He's really, really smart. And really, really good at his job. Can we get his input RC, please? Did you file an extension? If you got an exception, you're in business because I think you haven't told mid July to get those taxes actually done. Kimberly, I think everybody is now wondering what's next for the rams because they always have something up their sleeve. What does this Cooper Cup extension mean for OBJ? Okay, so feel the rams are focused on right now, but Odell, not yet. They understand that he is one of the most dynamic weapons still in the NFL. But he's not healthy. The Ramsey is when he gets healthy, they will have healthy competition to sign him because he's a free agent. But here's what the rams are hoping. They say, hey, Odell. It's LA. You love LA. We had some good times. We did some good things. We won a Super Bowl. Why don't we run this back? Why don't you come back, join Cooper, join Aaron Donald, everybody's living it up in LA where you love the sunshine. So that's what they're hoping when he gets healthy, that they have the inside track to recite them. Okay, we'll see. I mean, at this point, I wouldn't put anything past the rams to get anything done for all I know they could find a way to trade for Tom Brady. That actually do that. I'm just saying, if anybody could find a way, it would be the rams. Yeah. Let's pivot from the rams to the wide receiver market in general, is Cooper Cup $75 million guaranteed. It was the most of any wide receiver in the NFL, and what an off season it's been for past catcher. So last month, AJ Brown gets four years, hundred mill from eagles have to be traded from Tennessee prior to that. It was Stefon Diggs who re upped with the bill signing a four year deal that included 70 million guaranteed back all the way in March tyreek hill got four years in a whopping a $120 million extension from Miami and just prior to that, it was devonte Adams. We got 5 years, a $140 million in that was after he got traded from Green Bay to Las Vegas. I thought Adam Schiff is what would have been hat because I didn't believe it actually happened. RCA all have huge bags right now. Who has the most approved out of these past catchers? You know what? I don't think any of these dudes have anything to prove. It doesn't involve in Miami. Are we blaming it on him? Devonte Adam doesn't bald in Las Vegas. Are we blaming it on him? We will find other excuses for these men because we've seen them perform over time. Here's what they do have to prove they'll field that the money they gotten is worth it, that you can win a championship that you can be a team that consistently competes and play and pay your wide receiver this sort of money. They are fighting for the entire receiver group in the league, not just themselves. They got their bag. They earned it. Now they have to make sure everybody around them can keep getting the same thing. Yeah, Ryan, look, I think wide receiver salaries are here to stay, and they're just gonna go up simply because that's just the way the game is, right? Every offense is trying to really stress defenses make them defend every blade of grass, both horizontally and vertically. At these teams in particular, Miami, the Raiders, and Philadelphia, if those receivers that they sign do not produce, it's going to be the quarterbacks whose rear end is going to be on the line. That's who they will be looking to replace. They will say, hey, look, these guys proved that their former stops that these guys are absolute game breakers, and the game is going that way. If you can't get it to them, we'll get somebody who can get it to them. Because you ain't running down there, you know, producing no plus 20 yard plays. You're not going to run around. You can't throw it to yourself, so we'll find somebody else. Because these guys have proven they're at the top of their game. Devonta Adams, I mean, come on now. You don't need to prove nothing to nobody. But he's with his boy out there in Vegas. If I believe he'll produce. You're on the hot seat. I love you, but you're on the hot seat, bro and that's just the way it's gonna be. And I'll tell you this, Jalen hurts, you're on the hot seat too, because those two teams, Miami and Philly, I promise you. They're set up right now to go ahead and get somebody else if you're not the one. They've got the players down the perimeter. Yeah. Let's see what happens, man. Not for nothing, Louis, but both of those teams fill you in Miami, have two first round picks next year. The clock is ticking. We're not done here on.

So the Patriots and Mac Jones go to their final day of work of the off season earlier today as that second year quarterback who was awesome last year looked to build off of that rookie campaign. That season actually began alongside Cam Newton who had been resigned to a one year deal leader cut. He offered his thoughts on Mac on the pivot, the great podcast that RC is one of the hosts. I was with Mac Jones. Mac Jones gonna be a great quarterback. I'll put Mac Jones at that 20 is threshold. He a young gun, right? And obviously with the guys that they're going to build around him from the defensive special teams, offensive side. He's going to, he's not the guy that I'm talking about. Mac was on fire last year. He not only helped the Patriots reach the playoffs. They want Ted games. He also ranked top ten all time amongst rookie quarterbacks in completion percentage, passing yards and touchdown passes. That Prescott remains the only rookie to post a higher completion percentage than Jones in NFL history. RC I'll start with you, of course, you are part of that conversation with cam. Do you think Mac would be good enough this year to get the Patriots back to the playoffs? You know, I think Matt can make a push, but we had to look at the entire AFC and think about some of the quarterbacks, even the young ones that you're facing and trying to get to the playoffs or trying to advance into playoffs. And also their situations. Mac Jones, you go out and you add devonta Parker. Is he enough on the outside to win one on ones where he can push the ball down the field and make explosive plays when you think about his coaching situation? Who is the season offensive mind that's going to be the play caller that's going to do everything they can schematically throughout the season to set him up to win and who is developing him in the off season. When you look at Mac Jones, he showed right away that he was ready to play in the NFL, but his ceiling has always been a question. In order to get to that ceiling or even exceed it, you need the right pieces around you and I just don't know if offensively the New England Patriots have done that. We saw him in week four and he was the same quarterback in week 17 as he was then. That's not the progression that you want. And so if he hasn't upped his game because you haven't done enough for him as in the New England Patriots, that's on you and Mac Jones will not be leading this team to the playoffs. So I'm trying not to hit the panic button with the Patriots. Do I love that Josh McDaniels is now in Vegas and now Mac Jones has Joe judge and Patricia map Patricia let me come on. No, I don't love it. But what I will focus on is the fact that Belichick hopefully knows a little bit more than me. So if he's putting this kid in this position, it's got to be, he understands that he is pro ready that he has the tools that he has the football acumen that he's composing the pocket. But what I do like about Mac Jones, seeing more confidence. It sounds silly, but I was at the Pro Bowl where he hit the Gritty, and he's showing that little swag and he's having more fun. And that to me, it's silly, right? It sounds silly, but here's the thing. He feels more comfortable in his skin in the NFL in this offense. And that's what that's the first step. You at least want to see this kid feel good in where he is in his position. Hopefully this season will be a little bit better. Yeah, I'm bullish here on Mac Jones. Really sharp last year, a lot of confidence there internally. And, you know, who else is bullish on him? His pseudo center as check this out recently is Mac Jones got a little bit of help from Bill Belichick with some shotgun snaps earlier this week during mini camp, Jones offered his assessment on Belichick's new duties as scout team center. You know, he's very hands on and I feel like we've made a lot of growth together. You know, as an offensive unit with him and then obviously personally with him and has a quarterback group. So we're all on the same page and like I said, he's seen the most amount of football of any of our coaches and he's seen defense offense and special teams. So having his input is always going to be very beneficial to me because he knows what puts stress on the defense. All right, no offensive coordinator still, Lewis, how do you read the situation in New England right now? Look, I think it's TBD for me, man. I'm not quite sure. And for the first time, I think since Bill has been there, at least in, let's just say in the past 5 to ten years, I just don't quite know what this really means for this football team going forward, especially when you're talking about the construction of the coaching staff and then how that relates specifically to Matt Jones progress here in his second season. If Josh McDaniels was there, I would be extremely bullish simply because of the fact that there's going to be continuity in terms of the voice that's in his ear. I would really have some confidence in the fact that the Bronte Parker would be utilized to his fullest that taekwon Thornton their second round pick would be utilized to his fullest. That this passing game would start to spread out and be a little bit more vertical and really, you know, challenge people's ability to cover every blade of grass, both horizontally and vertically. I just don't know what that's going to look like conceptually with Joe judge calling the plays. Matt Patricia calling the place. How it's going to affect, you know, Mac Jones confidence from down to down from situation in this situation. And until I see that and get a better feel for it, look, I really have more questions than I have answers to present here as far as what New England's going to look like. So I think we need to really evaluate Mac in that context as the year is going on. Yeah, we have not a whole lot to talk about over the next 6 weeks before training camp. But we'll find a way to keep trying to dig on who the Patriots play Carl will be this off season. She's been this season I should say because a lot of us are very curious. Let's move forward from Mac Jones to some other second year quarterbacks as we dive into quick reads and we start with you, Lewis, and Trevor Lawrence in Jackson. Yeah, look, I expect this young man to flip everything around in a positive way, namely that touchdown interception ratio from his rookie season where he threw 12 touchdowns and 17 picks. I expect that to be flipped under the tutelage of Doug Peterson. I expect his completion percentage to be over 60% and not just barely below 60% like it was. I expected yp to get up over 6 and a half, 7 yards per tip because one, he's got great coaching this year too. He's got better players and three. It's just a better overall culture in Jacksonville. Zach Wilson, he needs to be decisive. He can not turn the ball over. He has to show command of the offense. He's done all the off season work. Putting on weight, cutting out the sweets, unlike me, but this is a kid who has got a team that's bolstered on defense and offense. He just needs to be the leader. Hey listen, if you look at Justin Phil's and what he has coming up for him in Chicago, it's going to be on Matt ebert and Lou gety to get him focused to get him to be able to process in the pocket to know right away where to go with the football and if he doesn't use some of those great skills where he can run, get his legs moving and get outside to the pocket and create first downs. We know that Justin Fields is an elite.

"So in an homage to our former colleague Andy Benoit, who works for the rams now and is a couple 60 minutes away from his Super Bowl ring, which is pretty cool to say. Congratulations, Andy. First of all, I remember sitting next to Andy at the rams patriots Super Bowl and I had NFL game pass at the European version of NFL game pass. And so Andy was sitting next to me and he was blown away that I could watch the game in real time, pause it and then put the plays in slow motion. And so it was awesome because Andy knows a lot about football, obviously. And he would walk me through everything, but he needed to see it for himself, too. He needed to see the slo-mo. And so, and he was like, this is the greatest thing. This is the greatest thing ever. I don't know why I remember that, but that was a fun that was a fun memory. From that night now he's going to win a Super Bowl. But Andy and I used to argue a lot. I don't actually believe this, but I used to just tell him that football was rigged. And the commissioner was just creating everything like World Wrestling Federation. And he got really angry at me all the time for saying that. So in an homage to Andy, here's the conspiracy theory stuff, right? The Bengals winning the Super Bowl are going to the Super Bowl is obviously highlighting the NFL's connection to their sports books and their gambling because what they want is they want more of us to believe that this can happen to increase the amount of bets that long shots will get at the beginning of the season. So Bengals will win the Super Bowl. They're going to win it. 20 6 field goal. 26, 24. That's that's sort of going to be. 26, 24. Two miss pizz..

"Is absolutely crucial for them. Rams receiver Robert Woods suffered a torn ACL during Friday's practice and is done for the season. What's the team's second option behind only Cooper Cup? 556 receiving yards four touchdowns this season. So it just was a compounding of issues and it felt for a minute there like their heads were reeling like Sean mcvay's head was reeling. They did not know which end was up and serious change was needed. We've got to do a better job with our 11, putting them in good positions and then our players ultimately have to be able to go out and execute. It's just a cleaner overall operation. Otherwise, it'll be a challenge for us if we can't overcome some of the mistakes and some of the self inflicted wounds. Well, we'll come back to this rams offense in a few minutes, but first, we go to big splash number two for the rams, which was in early November, actually right before their three game losing streak when they dealt for von Miller. What were the expectations for him joining this star studded defense? Yeah, I think schematically one of the biggest things that they want to do is blitz less. And so I think what they really wanted with von Miller was they want a guy up front who attracts attention. Can we rush for consistently enough to where we can continue to keep that roof over the back of our defense? And so I think that with Vaughn, you're already sort of seeing this happen last week against Jacksonville, Vaughn acquired three blockers in order to help free Greg gaines up and they have expectations. They'd like to keep him around long term, especially the presence he brings and just a really positive guy. My first day I got to meet all the players man on me so I like my first day and a new school. You know, you get to meet the cool cheese you can meet Aaron Donald and you don't let it floor you Taylor and I'm in the locker room when you guys do Stafford. Now I'm on the same team. It really steal that if you feel real, but on my first day a really, really vocal leader and someone who was beloved in Denver for those qualities and is quickly becoming beloved in Los Angeles for that as well. Well, on paper, this is arguably the most talented defense in the league. But they have looked a little bit vulnerable at times, especially against some of the NFC's best teams. For example, they gave up 37 points in the week four lost to the Cardinals and 36 in a recent loss to the packers. In your eyes, is this group underachieving? Are they inconsistent? Is it none of the above? How would you rate this defense's performance? Yeah, I definitely think they're inconsistent. This is something that we kind of predicted a little bit. We understood that there was going to be some regression this year after they had the number one defense last year and sort of exploded onto the scene. You knew that teams were going to have counters for this. Green Bay understanding the rams team build and the roster that they had put together as well as San Francisco were sort of attacking the more inconsistent spots of the field picking spots away from jaylen Ramsey, scheming their blocking and different techniques away from guys like Aaron Donald and sort of keying in on inside linebackers, which is especially in recent history not been a place of high investment for the rams. And that's been a huge problem for this defense. They have put on paper where they have shown weaknesses. And I think, especially having things start to click up front with von Miller getting more and more snaps. And then changing their inside linebacker personnel as well to feature Ernest Jones in a lead share of snaps. That's something where now they need to rise to the occasion, because even if you are okay with some regression on defense and you believe your offense will sort of rise to counter or sort of cover up that regression, you can't be inconsistent as they have been down the stretch. No, let's go back to the offense. And to the third of three big moves we wanted to break down. This one happened about a week after they got von Miller. I'm sure early November wasn't hectic for you at all. Kid in the shopping cart makes it. Well, that movie now, as you know, was signing Odell Beckham junior after he was weighed by the browns. Now, as we know, Odell's a pretty polarizing guy. Why do you think the rams decided to add him to the mix? Yeah, it's interesting. I don't think that they think he's polarizing at all. This was a player driven effort. And you know, you've always heard good things from the majority of his teammates. And when Odell, obviously he was released and then he kind of was able to pick, essentially, where he was going to go. And so then a recruiting process sort of started. And the rams were quietly in the mix, understanding that he does have ties in a lot of different ways to Los Angeles. Some of his great friends, professional, athletes, and also personal friends, are in Los Angeles as well. Von Miller is a good personal friend of him, which just so happened to work out for him. And it was an interesting study in player empowerment in my opinion in a GM and a head coach that really do trust their players with this type of culture and with this type of understanding of what is needed versus what they can't have or should not bring in. And so they basically turn the keys over to the players. And does he want to come here, find out? And you guys figure out what the situation is. And so the whole process to me, as I sort of dug into it in talking with a lot of people behind the scenes, was Odell being so available and open and wanting to get the other rams receivers blessing for him to join the roster. You know, you want to be where you feel loved and wanted and welcomed. And I just got that feeling, you know, from Vaughn and Jalen Allen boys, the receivers when I got the call and it just felt it felt right in my heart. Jalen Ramsey bringing his cell phone into one of the team offices, one of the team buildings where all of the receivers were because Odell wanted to get the receiver's blessing for him to join the team before it was official. To me, that was a really, really telling move because obviously there are a lot of mouths to feed. This was obviously also prior to Robert Woods suffering the season ending injury. So at the time, a lot of mouths to feed. And then now moving into the expectation of filling some very, very big shoes, not just from a personal and on field perspective, but also from a cultural perspective and a guy in a leadership role. He's started already to take young guys under his wing, van Jefferson had a couple of drops against San Francisco, a loss, and the rams were in the thick of it. They were losing and they were unhappy. And things felt like crap. And van Jefferson felt he told me he felt lower than he has in a long time. And Odell sort of took him under his wing and comforted him and talked him up and said, told him about all the times he'd been there before and all of the things he'd heard negative people say about him and his game and how he responded and van Jefferson said that really, really meant a lot to him. He came out and had a great game a couple weeks later. Looking at this on the field, what are the early returns on Odell Beckham junior? How has he looked on the field? You can tell he's starting to get more and more comfortable. There were a few miscommunication timing things early on that I think were to be expected. And this last week, you saw him go up on what Sean mcvay called a very patient fade for his touchdown.

"Are incredibly high for matthew stafford so here. He is on a first impression of matthew stafford. Let's be great. Yeah i mean being around staff and just kinda chance to be about your family and realize what a family guy and he just would do us It's been cool to see. I always a lotta respect for him across the league just from watching him play and then we have some mutual friends before we ever really got a chance to spend a lot of time together. One of his college teammates is very very close friend of mine and play with me in cincinnati for a long time. So i've known a lot about him but just get to see him in person to be around him and his family is really special and You know just You can tell. He's one of the guys that does it the right way and is a great representation in this league and here is on how stafford will affect him and the rest of the team. You know i look at it like you just like when john sullivan was here. Roger sophos and other veterans in the league. There's always this Hard to explain. Just an understanding and appreciation. You have for other veterans in the league. In the time they've put in and So i think with matthew is really quick pick out he both seeing a lot of things you can counter discuss things that maybe you know. Other young players understand the game but they haven't experienced so they haven't been through so i think for him and i it's pretty easy to to pick up on different things in different situations that we've gone through and experienced so over under numbers for matthew staffer. Now tell you last year. The lions were five eleven. He threw for four thousand. Eighty four yards and twenty six touchdowns. Okay so here. Is the here the over under numbers for matthew stafford for this year. He is in vegas. You can make this bet in vegas. You can make this bet right now. Matthew stafford total passing yards this year. Forty five hundred and fifty yards now to put that into perspective. Last year he threw for four thousand eighty four and back in two thousand eleven ten years ago. He threw for five thousand. Johnny like over or under forty five hundred and fifty yards passing for matthew stafford over because camakers got hurt. They're not going to have the thought that they were going to have. I think sean mcveigh combined with matthew. Stafford is gonna throw a lot. The only question really with him. Kenny stay healthy but if he stays healthy anthony. North of forty five hundred. What do you think. I think he goes. North of forty five hundred. I think you put matthew stafford together with a coach who's gone to the super bowl. As a coach that is an offensive genius. A wonder pinned centered. Wonder kid. he's actually. I think they are going to throw the ball a lot. I agree with you. Know camakers daryl henderson. We'll see if they bring anybody in like they are going to have to henderson. What's that. I think they might throw it. To daryl hinders. Yeah they might think they're gonna pass alive okay. Matthew stafford total. Td passes this coming season. Twenty six point five. And i'll put it in perspective last year through for twenty six almost right at that number ten years ago. He threw for forty one touchdowns over under twenty six. And a half touchdown passes for matt stafford especially with seventeen games. I think that's an easy over. Actually i hadn't thought of that but you're right. We're going to have to get rid of the get ready for that right. Because ten and six becomes ten and seven eleven six and i mean the the seventeen game thing is going to be really fascinating. But you're right zooming that the game at the end of the year is gonna mean something if not has already shown. Oh we'll have won the division. By then john will as seattle and san francisco. Good now we'll have won the division. I'm talking. I think the rams i i think the rams are super bowl bound. I think we are going to the super bowl this year. And i think matthew stafford is going to have the year of his career. The one that people were the one that races all of the losing in detroit. I think matthew stafford finds a way to get this team to the super bowl. I'm absolutely confident. In shaw mcvay. By the way. I i have more confidence in the in the over twenty six than i do over the forty five hundred. Twenty six is easy through for twenty six last year. And now there's an extra game and give me miss four games. How many games they playing last year. I thought he played all of them. All right. i'll look at our two years ago. I think he played eight. But i'm working off the top of my head there. As i often try to do but i'm pretty sure last year was a full season for him to have it all sixteen games there. You go. and he's got a better team now. I think twenty six is easy and listen to his game tools by the way starting in two thousand eleven sixteen sixteen sixteen sixteen sixteen sixteen sixteen sixteen eight sixteen well. The eight was a back injury though. So you worry about that a little right. That was the twenty nine teen season where it's only started. Well part of the as you know you talk about. The part of the question is the offensive line. Can they protect him from getting killed. So hopefully the offensive line is solidified. And then you know that way. You can protect them. Yeah so Here's something interesting. I think so a couple of years ago. The clippers hired the excellent sports illustrated writer. Who listened to us for years and years. Yeah legras lead. Jenkins grew up in san diego listening to mason in ireland as we were his great inspiration. I'm told i think that's probably a reach. But he would probably roll with it. You probably remember him as the guy who wrote the big lebron james story for sl when he announced he was going to miami. Fantastic guy. now. I got no idea. What the hell does that the clippers does anybody know he's a he's a writer. What the hell does he do with the clippers. I'm not sure but that that that is a good ramp up to this ram story. Yes because the rams have hired their own version of lee jenkins. This guy is named david. Ben wa i think his name is andy andy. Benoy benoy andy benoy. Okay was going with the french pronunciation. So they've and he is going to be in this role. But i've got no idea what this is. It's a good question will have to ask. Mcveigh my first reaction. When i read this story that the rams had hired someone from the media to work in their front office and by the way he's worked for sports illustrated the new york times and cbs sports. He's hired an assistant to rams head. Coach sean mcveigh special projects. Right the minute. I saw this story. The very first thing that popped into my head is man is mason going to be so pissed off. Yeah that whatever can't slip 'em off gave this job to sounds like sean mcveigh did it. And then probably had to clear it through kevin and less need but what exactly is a writer for sports illustrated new york time. Cbs sports gonna do football wise. I mean is he shaping. The message as a writing stories would. Is he writing stories for the program. What is he doing. It's a great question. And i think they'd let him come on the radio. Probably not we could probably ask mcvay about him. I wonder vandy would come on. Especially since you just call him by the wrong name. And i know if it's benoi or or benoy in his and you called him. David is all over his name. It's a it's a great question. I just figured that if anybody from the media was going to work for the rams you would think it should be you. Oh god damn off would be the first thing you would do if you're in that role that role as but if you had if you had the ear of sean mcvay unless meat. What's the first thing you would tell them..

I'm kinda not happy about this whole texas. Oh you situation. I love the idea of this. I'm not even a hardcore traditionalist. It's just a step too far. It's it's exceedingly greedy. As i've said many times on this air. And i think the college football has a lot more to lose than it realizes when it comes to regional followings and sort of why people who are otherwise not necessarily fans of individual schools tune in and if it gets too unwieldy and it gets to corporately and it's already way way corporate like there's there's a tipping point. I think we're getting closer to them. The people realized bergman. You're a huge. Ucla fan. We all got it. What do you think man you think that the pac twelve has teams picked off. You think that they go picking teams off or do you think like what clinton saying that. This may turn into a whole different sort of a deal. I think it's really could go any way. But i think that if off the top of my head. I think that it's going to be where the pac twelve is going to go. Pick off teams and i know you said that. Ucla would may not be that team. I could see oregon being a team like that because it because what they do on in football and basketball and what they do with nike but ucla has a very large advantage. That i don't think people are really understanding here including going up against usc here that you are in los angeles. You were on the coast. You have a beautiful campus all of these things so if you can come out here and do your nfl stuff and make a lot of money just on the side while being at ucla on a nice campus and everything like that and still being the los angeles area to do all everything. It's got a lot more appeal than maybe it used to. It had when you had to think more about like. Oh if i go to u. Usc i'm going to. We're going to be great football team. You could still be that with the right players at ucla. Because of everything that they offer. I would also jumping here. Quick guy took that to me lends itself to the. Ucla does not go to whatever super conference there. Is you know what. I'm saying like if schools realized that the situation is hey great time crepe place love it you know what i mean screw championships. You know what i mean. Like i i think. Ucla falls into the category of that which leaves them out of whatever. The super league is not in a way that sort of shames face. You know what. I'm saying it's like hey you're building a different experience for the proverbial pros here in that the professional time of your life not just your sporting career but you could still win championships here at at that school i would look at ucla basketball. This last they were in the final four and there bring everybody back. It's the same type of situation. They can still really think. Ucla's gonna compete for football title. Women no absolutely not trip chip kelly so no. I'm not crazy by any means you can be done. It can be if you get the right coach if you get that can recruit the right players in the right way by by pushing off that on the nfl stuff. Yeah you can make a run just like any other school can. It's an sec. You can bring those guys to los angeles and play at ucla. Because you can't bring everybody usc so eventually you have to be able to get some of the guys i would always say. They're so what what will make. Ucla attractive to any conference. Should the pac twelve ever get picked off is the television market. I mean it's why. A school like boise state. Just as an example. They're not attractive. Because the boise idaho. Tv market is not attractive. Same goes for san diego state people for years of said. Gosh i wish. San diego state could join the pac twelve well. The twelve has no interest. They've got they've got usc and ucla. They've got the southern california tv market nailed down. They don't need san diego state just as an example. So i just think. Ucla will always be attractive to any conference because of the television market that they're in and to me that brings a lot of money. So i got it though clinton. Ucla's days as a football power are long behind them. And i don't see them getting to become a football power anytime soon. But still i. I still think. Ucla is an attractive commodity. I do i agree. And you know sunny helmets five. Why baby that's alright. Stick around coming up. Laura will have what you need to know next. But also i'm going to need to take time out on today's show and i'm gonna need to ask you guys for a piece of advice because something is happening in my home. That is embarrassing. It is Unsanitary it's making me crazy. And i just need a piece of help and probably needs some calls to see if anybody has a solution. Stick around what you need to know is coming up next. This is s. l. k. On seventeen espn..

"A link here in the article if you go to the article at mortar one dot com the articles titled dodge ram goes full superhero toes. Loaded logging rigged as safety. This tick-tock user actually took several videos. And one of those videos actually showed the the chain that was connected to the truck and the semi. so yes it did. Actually pull that some. I out of the intersection now. This wasn't a big deal to me. Because i mean the people all of a sudden. Forget that four did a big pr stunt point a million pounds worth of train. Cars are a little while ago with their electric f. One fifty tundra pulled the space shuttle back to twenty fifteen toyota. Did a thing where they're a stock tundra tote the space shuttle and i think that was like two hundred and some thousand pound three hundred thousand dollars a a maximum toll rating is completely different from what you can actually pull a tow rating. Keep in mind. That's taking into account long distance towing where you have to also make sure your tow vehicle can adequately manage that load at speed where he can still have functioning breaks where you still have functioning suspension. It all goes at all goes together. If you're just on something very very slow speed for just a short distance you can go way beyond that. It's not recommended. It might hurt the vehicle but anyways we we had a commentator points to those ted talk videos but then we had an email that came in from the brother of the owner of this ram and he said hey. This is my brother i told you about. This would love to see him get a little bit of dench because he was just trying to help this guy out so yeah i got a hold of the brother and we wrote a follow up article. Let me let me stop. Follow up article bite. My share screen here wrote follow up article just today on it has. We're recording this wednesday. And yes the story goes. It's it's pretty much just like the video description. Say this truck. It has some clutch issues out in the forest when it was apparently when the semi. Let's just get the semi right getting out of the force by the time he got into this intersection. The the clutch was just about gone. The the semi driver then lost power. Steering coming up to the intersection stopped because no power steering when you point one hundred forty thousand pounds of logs is bad and he stopped because he don't wanna hear the traffic light. So incomes are incomes are hero with his dodge ram. That's a two thousand seven dodge. Ram thirty five hundred. It's got the cummins diesel engine. Six speed manual transmission and he came in there and offered to help the guy out so they hooked up. The first thing i had to do because guide stopped the truck because he doesn't have any power steering because the the clutch was he couldn't get it out of year so he'd started just on the semi a little bit just to try to move enough to where they could get it out of year. They gotta year they managed to get it fired back up the guy in the ram he said you know. I was kind of excited. Caught up in the moment is was trying to tell them in four high kinda cook by clutch and you can see it in the viral hog video. Yeah but you can see. There's a pretty good amount of white smoke coming out underneath and we were theorising back last week okay. Is that clutch smoke. Is that tire smoke. What is that there. Were commenters that were saying. No that's the the semi-truck pushing the ram and the smoke is the smoke coming off the tires because the rams breaks are locked up. And it's still it's like now. How stupid are you sorry. I i i had to say goodbye to your pushed a truck at like two miles an hour. And you're getting gobs of of tire smoke. No so yes. That smoke was actually the The clutch cooking up a little bit. You says okay. So then. I put it into four low. At that point. I kind of had my head on a little bit straighter so i was just easing into it. And as you watched the video. I mean you can. You can see If you watch very closely to me at least you can see. The ram bumped forward just before the truck starts to go and then you could also see a point where the ram shifts gears and the ram shimmy is a little bit. Then you see the semi shimmy. Little bit ultimately told them about a mile down the streets to a wider section where the cars could go around him. According to the rams is worth putting out so we are not showing this video because youtube is weird. And we've shown videos on our show before and we've gotten copyright strikes so we're kind of that's the reason we're not showing the video if you want to see the video motor one dot com. Go for it like it's there. Is there reason we are not showing it on this but the the semi is an intersection. And so it's kind of blocking traffic and so to kind of explain why it needs to be towed to this other area just to throw that in. Yep yep no no thanks for that. I was getting a little ahead of myself. There and i mean the the guy did it just because he says i drove up there. The guy needed help. I thought i could help them. And we need more of that in the world. People he said cars were were trying to go through and everybody was yelling and honking. And it's like. What do you want this guy in the semi to do. he's having. He's clearly having some issues with his truck. I don't know if they called a wrecker. Something like that would usually require a very large semi wrecker to come out there and this guy said you know about ten minutes. By the time we.

"Six wheel drive cost. Funnily enough i was just talking about this with our boss adrian. Today it is fifty one fifty two grand for the gt to raise them up with rear-wheel drive. Yes if you want that with all wheel drive you're up to fifty five thousand dollars and has need. Is i think the cars. I think the car looks good. I actually rather love it. I love the hatchback design. It's extraordinarily capable inside. It doesn't look like a hack. It doesn't make americans happy. It reminds me of my mazda. Six a lot. It's a little bit bigger. It's a lot faster. I would love to replace this and maybe find one using a couple of years. I will but the reason. I'm not looking at it now. Fifty five grand now admittedly. That's for the top end model. But you're still looking at thirty six thousand dollars for a base. Four cylinder rear will drive stinger. And that's not a huge price. But i mean. I mean we were talking about this latte. What the average car price is right. Around what i think thirty three now. So yeah. that's what. But if you want to spend three hundred if you wanna spend thirty six thousand dollars on a neat sport it's sport ish sedan sporty sedan that has decent power not overwhelming power. Are you looking at a stinger. And honestly i don't think people are people. I think inquiry still used to going to kia and being able to find decent vehicles at a at a surprising price and for me. There's nothing surprising about the singer's price. I mean when you consider the size. It's not a small car. No it's can fit a family of it could be a family force car like if you you could cross shop it against camry or an accord mine. A small car. And i almost get the impression that keel was trying while it's not an impression we've seen it in their ads with the k. Five or they're they're trying to bubba against bmw. And i i have to wonder if maybe they were thinking. Well okay this will be. This will be our our bmw fighter. People will step down several thousand dollars from bmw to go to the stinger. What they should have been thinking of was. Let's get people to step up a little bit to go to stinger. Have that price point a little bit lower to attract that other segment of buyers. Because honestly i don't think it'd bmw buyer is is cross shopping kia. It's no disrespect to key up. It's just doesn't have the same kind of pedigree that bmw has. And and i mean that to me. it's kinda planes. I mean that's why they're not selling when i when a decent performance model is gonna cost you fifty grand. I wouldn't say what's gt1 cost. I was just trying to look at that. What's the entry level with the v. six cost entry level. Gt1 forty three thousand six hundred ninety so forty four grand. By the time batman your destination in their forty five grand. But do you want to spend forty five grand on that real drive car brand new or do you wanna go like you were saying bruce. Two or three years older to a young used to a used. Bmw to like that. Yeah the same at the same price point. Yeah i know it's not an apples dabbles comparison but like i said earlier buyers. Don't care about apples to apples. You're going to look at price. They're going to look at what they once and and that's where they're going to go and i think that's why i think he just price their stinger too high unfortunately but enthusiasts. I'm telling you these are going to be a really good in just a few years. Yep i'm going to have you know all of the tack all of the power everything that you want. It's going to have everything that you want from that. Bmw or mercedes for thousands and thousands last if not tens of thousands Yeah it's i predict. This is going to be very good by in four to five years time and again hatchback i mean i just think of all the things i've hauled in my mazda that doesn't look like a wagon. It doesn't look like an suv. You get that. Same effect here with a stinger. You'd be shocked at how much you can put inside that car and yeah you get it with all wheel drive okay. Who needs your crossover with a little bit more ground plans. You not going off road anyways or if you live in florida and you don't need all wheel drive you get the rear wheel drive model drive or or if you live in the north. He just put snow tires on it and he's still have some far that yeah But yeah it could be. This could be. It could be looking at months so yeah well. That's not true. I need you to put your journalism cap on because you did some some deep diving for us this week in regards to a story that hit big for us. What friday of last week. Thursday last week when it was wanted to go up. When did it go. Let me take a look here. July sixteenth so. That was what last thursday last friday. I'm helping me out here. But somewhere around thursday or friday. It's friday it's friday. So yeah so it went up friday here. Let me let me do a quick share screen so people can see a little bit of what we're talking about here absolutely this video that came out on viral hog long story short. It's video of a dodge ram pickup truck and yes. This is a dodge ram because it's a third generation truck before ram split off from dodge. I actually got an email from a guy. That was just chastising. That's you won't find a dodge badge anywhere on their. This is the third generation dodge ram. Anyways it's a video from british columbia canada of this dodge ram pulling a semi truck through a busy intersection. It's not just a semi truck. This is a big semi truck pulling big tandem trailers. each trailer loaded with logs. A big logging trucks now. I looked up some of the rules and regulations in canada. The maximum way that you can have for wrigley this with tandem trailers one hundred forty thousand pounds now. I don't know that this truck is one hundred forty thousand pounds knowing what i know about logging trucks. It's probably pretty close to is probably pretty close to a hundred and forty thousand pounds. And i was thinking. Yeah and and there's video is only it's only about fifteen seconds long and it appears to show this dodge ram pulling this truck out of the intersection. The video description said here in in williams lake british columbia canada. This is ram told this. Broken down logging truck out of the intersex and be received more emails about this video than anything else in ages in in recent history. They were coming into our tips line. There were e mails coming directly to me commenters. Were all over this This article what what what are we. I think we're up to fifty seven last time. I saw warped a fifty six okay. So we've had more comments yet today on this article. I'm sorry fifty four. Okay yeah. I was fifty fifty. Four people chastised williams lake is nowhere near the rocky mountains. Okay it's in between it's it's just west of the rockies but anyways people were just commenting like crazy that no way could this pickup truck pull that big semi and then of course they were people jumping in. That were saying well. Yeah of course it can dodge power forever and and then there were people arguing about all. This is america. This is canada and it's like why are you even bringing this up. We said it's in canada. You know it's it's it's it's the whole commenting scene but this the traffic that this article produce i mean it. It picked up over the weekend and we did have a minor minor website outage on monday but our traffic was just off the scale. And the and this article in this video is leading the way so whether or not just people flogged to this and and broke the website for. I don't know it was just all over the place and then we got a message while first of all had a commentator say hey i know where the source of this video is it's a it's a person on tick-tock that that took these videos and and there's a link here in the article if you go to the article at mortar one dot com the articles titled dodge ram goes full superhero toes. Loaded logging rigged as safety. This tick-tock user actually took several videos. And one of those videos.
"ram" Discussed on Insight Out with Billy Samoa
"Ram castillo welcome to inside out. Billy thank you so much for having me appreciate you man. I'm so excited right. We're going to get going with this. What is the significance of this as you think. Back in your childhood in maybe describe what this is for those who are just listening in so billy just held up a toilet paper roll kabul toilet paper all that could be described as many different things. Depending what you off doney paper i Down under that's right right donny. Paper dinero all role sometimes as well but so the story behind that ease. I grew up not so well off but even beyond that my story begins way before me my parents from the philippines. My dad's one of eleven mums. One of five died. Grew up with his father passing away when he was only three years old and he would wake up before him and carry bags. Rossi's head to help He's mum with the sort of local. Eatery wouldn't even call it a full blood restaurant but they would often even have only a tablespoon of peanut butter red and bred to share for the day. and that's not to share an emphasize. Necessarily you know the feelings of sympathy that you might get a store like that. But just the reality of their life literally when people have a hard time There now view in their view. It's just survival. You just get on with it so he used education as a tool to quote unquote so to get out of that life as a way to build a better while my mom she grew up with follow. That was never really around like straight into it. He was abusive. Who woman isaiah. Just wasn't there for for his family so pretty much Grew up My mom grew up with four other siblings. Father them total with a single mom and she had my grandma she had a corner store selling cotton's of milk divided into bags. Just you know none of this nature but the local neighborhood would get portions of that cotton and she would so dresses and dress makeup back just to make ends me and so the hybrid thing as well as they did get the education. My dad got marine transportation degree and mechanical engineering degrees. two degrees. we get to ustralia on one year. A one year old baby and none of those degrees are recognized in a shy sound from sydney. And so i always think gosh. I had a close shave. Their could have lived. That life are have any one of us. Could've to be fair right. We're not choose where we're born where we where we just begin live so i'm always grateful of that but the toilet paper roll was because i would collect empty tissue boxes toilet paper rolls cobbled material and i would build robots cities. Obviously we didn't have ipads or anything back. Then so i would just make stuff and my mom are remote one moment where we were in our little apartment. She's cooking spaghetti and can almost still remember the smell of it and she said ram what do you want to be when you grow up and i would have been about five years old. Bit distracted. Toilet paper rolls..
