"You've got greedy, William Sydney. Are you got the Baker sitting here, you've got the bakers from Georgia area? So they see him up close you got greedy. You've got by Murphy. So I think that they could potentially go corner in this spot or often in their secondary Ardy offense alive position to Cody four could be a guy that can play tackle a guard out of Oklahoma. Then Matthews over to the right? So they can go either way here. That's a dusty little Duffy mental part. They just show like five people in there. It wasn't a good. Look. This is fun. This is so much fun. Oh, God this show. Let's catch you up on where you're out of. You're just tuning in. We got about another five six minutes here on the show for us. Kyla Murray went one Nick Boza went to to the Niners Quinton Williams defensive tackle Bama. Went three to the jets. Cleland Farrell went four to the raiders in a big surprise. Devon, white when five to the bucks inside linebacker LSU. Another surprise Daniel Jones quarterback from Duke went to the giants. Josh Allen the outside linebacker from Kentucky. When seven to the Jaguars TJ Hopkinson not to be confused. The haka son in Vegas tied in Iowa went to the lion's at eight and Oliver defensive tackle Houston who reminds people have Aaron Donald went to number nine Devin Bush inside linebacker Michigan. Pick tend to the Steelers pick eleven was Joan Williams offensive tackle, California kid from Alabama. With the Bengals Rashawn Gary defensive and Michigan win twelve to the Green Bay Packers and Christian Wilkins divas of tackle. Clemson went thirteen to the dolphins. And the Atlanta Falcons, the pick is in Suzy Hct is talking to Christian Wilkins, but we'll wait to hear when Roger Goodell's speaks. There's been three AFC teams all drafted. Yeah. And all three of them have all taken defensive tackle the jet. I try Tom Brady. They've been trying to do that for how many years now push up the middle to a lot. What are they like nine visit titles at a row or something like that? While there was one minute in two thousand eight when Chad Pennington went to the doll was the only year they didn't win. So that's about nine in a row. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Trust me. I know show anyway. So we'll see what happens with Atlanta would try to see what probably just get this pig in to be honest. And then we're going to be off the air. And then we'll turn it over to ESPN radio Dari noca-, and those guys will have the call for you from the rest of the night. And there's also said I was a sixteen year old scrolling through my Instagram. I like the picture of somebody. I knew with a girl. There's nothing racist about the picture. Obviously there some bad things in the hash. But obviously, I wasn't reading all those pictures. Right. Yeah. And that's and that's fine. Now, it's time to play. Right. So all of that stuff that you know that happens. They're gonna look at him. Cross steel. Here's the falcons in nineteen NFL draft. The Atlanta Falcons like Chris Lindstrom guard Boston. They would go off into line if they didn't go defensive back. They would go off a lot of tackle guard combination they coat. They didn't take Cody four. They took Christmas from Boston College, which is a stud. I mean, he's a power power guy. Nice punchy. Also, if you look at Boston College offense alive, and no they turn out to be pretty good their running back mazing in a lot of that is their offense of line whether they're nasty and his dad played four years.

"We'll have the entire first round. We're up to pick three the clock. Right. The clock. Under two minutes left in order for them to make their selection and their pick is in. Now, I was told there was a lot of reports last thirty six hours thirty six hours that their interest in Oliver from Houston was a little bit of a smokescreen be. They knew the raiders were love with Oliver that it was either gonna be quitting Williams at third if he's sitting there or they were gonna try and trade back and Mike McCallum has made a perfectly clear he'd love to trade back. But if the pick is in that means there's no trade while the reports. Are on Twitter right now from different reporters who cover the jets that. It's Quentin Williams who's on the phone. He to me would be the best player available still the defensive lineman out of Alabama. He's that unanimous first team all American the outland trophy winner. I mean, this guy seems like a flam dunk. There are no such things as short things because anything can happen. But coming from the system that he does and Alabama too. I feel like he's a guy who could step on the field and make an impact immediately. Amy, if it is quit Williams just showed the green room, and he was getting off the phone and looked like he was smiling ear to year. If that's the case, I think the jets probably got the cleanest player in the Strath to what I mean by that is the best overall player that you have the least questions and reservations about because I think there's tread left on the tire. You get fearful about that about Alabama players coming from that program because of how that program is run by Nick Sabin. And that's fine. He gets a lot out of his players. But if you watch his game film, his head move in his first step. He can get after it. He can certainly be a pocket crusher. He's a smart football player. There's nothing not to like about quitting Williams. And then you see these interviews as even more engaging. He's even more engaging after that and even three hundred pounds. He's also got speed you talk about the hand eye coordination. But how about the footwork he had a four eight three forty at three hundred pounds. That's amazing. Let's down at Asheville. Here's where the third back in the two thousand nine. NFL draft the New York yet select Quinton William back, Alabama..
NFL Draft Rumors: Picks for the Raiders, Jets, and Giants
"Now. Let's get into the raiders because they are very very interesting. They've sent everybody away. It's like, it's like survivor. There's two guys on an island. You got Mayock. You got Gruden no one else is around anywhere near the organization right now. And I read something that they said for fear that you know, they're big plan. Could get thrown to the wolves. What what possibly could this dynamic huge groundbreaking attempt. Be for the Oakland Raiders got insane. As we heard everyone connected to them literally Quinton Williams Devon why at Oliver and now. The most recent name is to Wayne Haskins. Now, I know a lot of raiders spans laugh at thought of that. But this is where it gets really interesting division in Oakland right now is that there are coaches there that really liked main Haskins. They're also coaches there that are not sold their car is the future. So is Oakland sitting there four knowing that Wayne Haskins might fall into their lap or hoping he falls into their lap. There's a lot of rumors about that right now. Or are they trying to play someone to train up with the jets to Oakland gift Quinton Williams? That's kind of where I'm weaning right now. I do think they want the jets to get out of that pick in fear that if they don't the general take when Williams and that's been there guy all along. This is a team that needs stars on the defensive line because they traded Khalil Mack. They don't have any. I know they use a lot of picks Matt area last year. I think Mary's hers could be an okay player. PJ hall hasn't shown anything yet right now. So Oakland all options are on the table for them right now. And it's very very interesting. All right. So if Haskins goes three and Williams. Does four Naida Tampa at five with Devon white. And Josh Allen still on the board. I think it would be I think Todd Bowles, I know Todd Bowles pick their and Lee here when he was in New York that was Todd Bowles spic you want speed at linebacker. He wants leadership at linebacker Tampa has loved Devon white for months now. I think if he's sitting there at five they would celebrate with happiness that they didn't have to move to get him. So you were telling me now that the way we just went through the MacIntosh of the first five picks. There's a legitimate chance that my New York football giants are landing maybe an elite talent edge rusher. Sixth overall in Josh Allen. I wouldn't rule it out at all. I would not rule that out at all. They get the guy who originally originally from jersey. Now, the interesting thing was the giants here. I have a belief that they've Gettleman has done a really nice job for once here with the smokescreens. And that the giants wanna quarterback at six as much as we keep hearing. They are content taking one at seventeen there's not even the guaranteed that. There will be one is seventeen. I don't see how team can take that kind of risk. So who? Do you think he likes because you know, I'm based out of New York, and we try to break down the code every day. And we just we have no idea of what's going on half the time. Do you look at him and say he likes Jones, we've heard that lock. We've heard that everyone seems to be opposed. The fact that Dwayne Haskins if someone who's interested in then lately for the rumor keyed up and maybe Josh Rosen lands to the New York Giants at some point. Yeah. There's a lot of sect year. I think they, you know, obviously, Daniel Jones there was a lot of smoke around them taking him at seventeen.
NFL Draft 2019: Notable Picks from Latest Expert Mock Drafts
"In reality isn't a difficult project. What is going to happen when we don't know in particular with this draft. We don't know what's going to happen. The number one pig came to get this thing over with. So he could really find out what's going on as opposed to all these different mock drafts that are out there. I'm right there with you. And I want to thank you for allowing me to come on the show. But it's a lot of group thing group three group out there. And that's the biggest thing that you see right now. It's a lot of my drafts. Everybody's just tired of becomes tired exercise. And we just wanna get it up to see the actually van happy. Now. How many have you done yourself, Jordan? I went back and looking I see one that was in January. Did you think that was your first one that was released pretty it's pretty close to what would be current stuff? Now, how many mock drafts have you come up with from January till now so I'll like to do one at the midway point before the combine. And then I do another one the week of the draft. So I'll be coming out with another one probably on Thursday morning. Okay. Now, how significant of a change would you have overall? He was certain things going to be changed. But the big the big pigs. You think there's going to be significant change from yours? The original ones. Now, I think there will be and I think it's going to start with calamari, and they both have those guys flip flop. Out in Nate both at the second big. And then we'll see what happens from there. Okay. So do you think your and we're talking about Jordan Reed and L draft staff writer for cover one host of the draft board podcast. You think for sure it is a foregone conclusion cliff Kingsbury in the Zona cardinals are going to draft collar with the number one pick. I don't wanna say it's a foregone conclusion because it at the same time last year everyone thought that Sam darnold was going to be the big to the Cleveland Browns just a year ago. So I think it's probably about seventy five percent chance of going to the cardinals. But we all know we just have to buckle up and see what happens during the drag because things could change at any moment. You mentioned some touched on before. Why does that keep happening years ago? It was Goff and Wenzel. They're not going to be top guys. Boom. What do you know team straight up? They go one to last year was all about darnold. Nobody knew Baker Mayfield gonna go number one. And then he did this year. It's all all about Murray, and even has to a certain degree where people were saying, oh has is going to be gone before. Let's say number six the giants pick. Now, all of a sudden, it sounds like not only may be there. But the giants may not even want them. They'll take Daniel Jones with number sakes. Why does that happen? Why are people so all over the place with quarterbacks in particular in these drafts leading up to the actual draft those quarterbacks other most important position, not only football. Sports period. It has nobody has a clue about football. They know exactly what the quarterback does and how they operate. So with that being said with these quarterbacks flopping over the past few months and even weeks, it just shows how much lack of infield that we do have. And we're not ineffective. So we're not supposed the curtain back and meet with these guys person or gets to know them personally. So we don't know what's going on in the mind that they've got them in or these other executives going on around the league, Jordan. I respect the honesty right there. You're right. Still fun. It's all about so fun to read about I get and we got to do it, and it's fun to project different things. But I guess the reality is without let's say, there's no Andrew luck there, and nobody knows for certain who's going number one without that. It's hard to project these things and the GM's arm can give anybody Dave Gettleman not gonna come out and tell Joe giant fan or whoever in the media what he's going to do it his pick. Why should he right? Jordan. Right. I mean, we saw Jon Gruden sin their whole scouting staff home. So it just shows you just how secretive these plans are and no team really wants their hands shown or what is going to be revealed on draft. They so I think we're gonna we're gonna see a while. Right. If I'm not sure exactly what the giants are going to do. But I think they're going to get a lot of backlash if they somehow don't find the quarterback future. Whether that's at six or at seventeen so let's get into some specifics here, we're talking about Jordan Reed NFL draft staff writer for cover one host of the draft board podcast. You mentioned you think the cardinals are going to take collar Murray with the number one pick. Do you think that's a mistake? I was talking before about how an organization can hire new head coach draft a quarterback in the first round last year guy. What was the best quarterback coming out less? Your Josh Rosen. And then a you later fire the head coach cliff kings, Mary you could certainly argue whether that was a good higher. Not. And I don't think it is. And now take collar Murray with the number one overall picks. Do you think will be good pick a good move for this car does organization? To keep that number one pick and take collar Murray. I think it would be and I say or I'll put it this way cliff Kingsbury, everyone likes to point out just how fancy as offense is and how well operated at Texas Tech. But it really didn't work like a lot of people were saying that it worked should have work and with cliff Kingsbury, he's probably gonna get gonna get one chance to be an NFL head coach and what better way into your guy in there. He has no ties to Josh Rosen. He was not there when the team drafted him last year, and he has he doesn't have a freelance relationship with him. But on the flip side with Colin Murray. We've seen him and his offense and everybody seems famous video circulating on. If cliff gains vary ever had the overall selection that he without question would say column, Mary so I think with Kyla Mary why such a great fit in this offense. If you think about all the great young quarterback that entered the league over the past few years and even going back to last year with Baker Mayfield. Sam Donald Josh Allen. Even Lamar Jackson to an extent all of them have have had one. Thing in common, and that's having the ability to create all script or being able to operate and when things break down, and that's exactly what column or is able to do. But with Josh Rosen and the state of Arizona Cardinals off it's a front. I think if they're able to select calamari he can kinda relaxed weakness that they have a front just because of the lack just because of the -bility he has to create scripts though, I think he would be a really good fit in Arizona. Interesting fascinated see a if they keep the big if they do in fact, take him and see what happens with Josh Rosen. And then obviously how it's going to pan out because Kingsbury Murray will be must watch to see how that works out for the cardinals. If in fact, they team up who's the team most likely to trade down from two or three there's a lot of rumors teams will to trade down on this. Good debt specially defensively. Do you see the Niners? Do you see the jets maybe trading out of their top spots here? I think the night is it gonna take if they're just because they haven't used need off of the they don't have anybody there. Now, they did trae for deport but they still need some help off of the age. I think they're sit along the interior would force Buckner Eric St. and now with Solomon Thomas transition inside. So I think they're fine on the interior but outside of D Ford. They don't have any other threat coming off the edge. So you plays both in there with that young up and coming into your your, and then you pair would be Ford. I think that would be a really good combination of front now. One thing that's a really interesting spot is the New York Jets at three because is very wide open out there that they wanna trade back just because they don't think there's a lot of value there at that. But they only have six peaks. So they wanna get back and maybe regain some of those recoup some of those that they had to trade for last year when they acquire them darnold. So maybe they wanna trade back and still get that edge rusher that they need even if Quinton Williams or Josh Allen is there. And maybe they have those guys graded similarly on their boards day. Okay. With trade him back. Maybe six or seven is still getting a guy like a month with or somebody of that nature. Now who would be the team most likely to trade up with the jets for number three. See that's the biggest problem because this similar to last year's draft is that there's no quarterback that teams wanna trade up for third spot like a Sam darnold from last year. So it takes two to party and with a trade. They don't have a partner right now. I think but maybe some team has Haskins on their board. Maybe like Cincinnati at eleven I could see them or Washington trading. Alway from fifteen up to three now with a lot of draft capital. But I'm just using example, we have teams that could straight up. So that overall selection, right? And that's why it's intriguing when you look at what the jets having that number three big rumor to be wanting to trade out of it. I mean, if they don't think that Alan is war that I don't know what they're thinking there. I wanna get more picks back. Maybe get good players. Let's say the do trade, in fact with the giants team that, you know, look, it was rumored last year that that could possibly happen is rumored again this year. Because the giants won't their quarterback. Do you think the giants need to trade up from six to get there the quarterback that they want? I know Gettleman throwing out a lot of smokescreens here. But ultimately, do you think has gains or Jones will be there at number six for the giants thing Jones definitely will be and odd just don't really know about Haskins right now. Because last week we saw that he was going to be a top five selection this week. They're saying, right. Fifteen. So there's a lot of rumors out there. And we really don't know. But if the giants won't be sure I think they should trade up to the third spot to secure their guy. Just because if easier guys go hitting trade up and get him and don't wait on anybody. Just in case team jumps you. And now you're gonna be stuck maybe reaching on through lock or even Daniel Jones who do you like better out of those? I'm assuming you like Murray the best out of the quarterbacks. Give me your take on Haskins Jones. So I have it Murray at the top. And then I have happiness, and then I have locked and then have Danny Jones right after that. And I'm a big fan of the top two guys in Haskins emerge. And I say that because they are a bit different as far as this guilty. I don't know we talked about earlier folks here. What I love about him is. Yes, he's a one year start.

"Parts studios. Here's Cody students two weeks from today. We'll be waiting through the middle and late rounds of the NFL draft. It is right around the corner. So I figured since its draft season. Let's get into it. We had to pick restive guest line. He's an NFL draft analyst you see his work on Cowboys wire on his Twitter account at Jonah tolls. NFL, and I know been people because it's Texas Tech. Just like, I did it's Joan of how tolls Joan how are you, sir? Hey, Cody how we doing? Two weeks is getting real man. I'm getting excited. All right. So you're you're real close. I've seen it on Twitter. You're close to the the draft guy that you're gonna put out so gone through a lot of this stuff. Just give me kind of an overview couple of positions that are real deep. Couple of positions that are real thin in your opinion heading into this draft. Yes, we'll start on the deep. So will we'll start glass half glass full here. We'll we'll go wide receiver. I, you know, it's not a really good topic. Laci I've got like detained Metcalf. We'll probably on the first round after that is really a rule locking the first round. But, you know, second round eighty two guys you got any flavor any skills that you want to burner they'll get Hollywood receiver AJ Brown ego. Samuel experts. Go get Joe balls bothers guy. So why really deep position for me? Another one injured. Interior line Quinton Williams at all of our Christian Wilkins Dextra Lawrence. You know, guys were all to be first second the first guy feels deep telling the second third round as well. As like Zack, Allan Kristen hill. There's a live interior. You're looking for a guy he did five technique three technique. It's definitely your drafty. Get one in terms of positions virtually black test empty here. Look at linebacker. Once you get past the top guys Devon white Devon Bush both of who will probably top twenty. It's barren after that. Mak Wilson Bobbio Caridi. More third row guys. So if you're looking for linebacker, you're dead one. Devin Bush on the first round where you're pulling away third round to get one. And the last one I say quarterbacking cornerback it's the worst quarterback lots scouted in years. Had that one walk cornerback might be the first year in a long while we don't have a talk twenty top twenty five pick a cornerback me really Williams who has issues place frame fire Murphy with a issues a size issues with consistently like just laying on bungee. So you have to wonder if a corn actually gets like in the first couple rounds of looking at good draft entered wide receiver the ones that are more thin. Linebacker and cornerback Jona tolls. Our guests on the progressive guest line sponsored by progressive. Make it easy to bundle your home and car insurance at Joe tolls. NFL is the Twitter account is where you gotta find him. You mentioned at Oliver. And I wanna ask you what's the highest? You could see Oliver going. What's the lowest? You could see Oliver going because people are all over the place on maybe not the talent. But the team that would take a shot at him. Where's this floor? Where's the ceiling? I honestly think his Sealion. Tampa Bay at five on. I think he starts a lot of whispers that time of year now and lot to be smokescreen. The I think they really love that over, you know, online Quinton Williams's there or I could take Devon why is there as well? I always really imply that's a lot for Tampa Bay. Now. If you talk about four, I think you have to look at something like Green Bay fourteen or stopping the fifteen teams that are teams that really need a three technique guy who go get field to really love guy like all over his skills that they draft guys came in the past stock Grady Jarrett, they really liked guys. Like that Bill. You tell the Dan Quinn guys. I think the floor and the buccaneers silly to NFC south games. Joan are you a column going number one overall guy or you see it playing out difference as big smokescreen by the cardinals up to this point. No, I think column one I think there's been a done deal since the combine. In the day, you know when cliff kings up. Cliff Kingsbury when he got hired over there. We both know that this is the guy that he's a core back, by the way, he wants it. He's going to get hired hard. King varies to just be foot soldier. He hired casino to be changed organizational culture that team and he's gonna bring a guy that he wants. He wants a franchise teams his guy if he believes Pommery, which I know that's the case. I I believe that is the case I think number one I think it's been done deal February Jona tolls. Our guests progressive guests lined brought to you by aggressives home insurance. Get your quarter progressive dot com today Murray's one who goes to who should be number two. If the forty Niners are sticking with that number to overall selection should be Nick Bosa people should over think this people over thought it would Joey Bosa before the draft process. He went early earlier than expected. So we've got Nick this guy. I think is better. His brother coming out with college injury prone. I think he's a guy who was water sauce tissue injuries. But he really just everything off the edge. He's a little more explosives than his brother, Joey, he has you know, we have a great run defenders really because all the quality traits. You look for event. I compared him to John Abraham I guy who you know, could potentially be the whole one day. So I think nNcholas is one of the guys dining is planning a guy who I can't really see the NFL. He have good into your passer. So I don't think they really need to got Williams coming in force Buckner, and Eric to really young don't be talented interventional is mentioned that I have solid Thomas as well. They could really use one guy off the edge. You can really get some juice w Bosa Joan what about the guys block and guys like Nick boasts Andre Dillard, of course, has a ton of experience as a pass blocker not much as a run blocker. John taylor. Physical freak. You got some guys that maybe don't have the measurable have the tape success guy, like Joan Williams where are you at on where you at on the offense tackle offense of line talent at the top of this class. I think it depends depends on what you want. I mean, if you wanna guy like John Williams guy, come in and give you flexability less right side play some guard a little bit as well, totally guy. But for me, I prefer Joe on Taylor. I compared him to Trent Williams who has behemoth size us well guy who is really light for guy his size. I think he projects really well, the left or right tackle that could really anchor down that left to right side for I think for ten years, I have him popped into my board next guy, Joan Williams. He's solid. He's not gonna have one tree voice stands out everything. Well, he's guys use plug plugging play each keeping in your lineup. You forget about it. Under Diller, a little here's a little lower floor than the other two mentioned in Taylor Williams because I think this guy coming out Washington state. He didn't really have too many NFL pass says because a lot of places washing state runs like two or three seconds. Scream passer religion east. So I I think he's a little four but his treats off its heart. I mean, a great athlete apparent Toronto Armstead guys saints really player. I think this is a guy who can has potential but little more bus risk than than people when I met. All right. I'm gonna give you a position we're visiting Jona. Tolls at genitals NFL is the Twitter account. A really encourage you to follow him on Twitter because it gives you a lot of great stuff. Lot of breakdowns. The draft guide will be out. It'll tell you how to get it on his Twitter account as well. And he's on the progressive guest line with us give position give me either a bust or a sleeper at that position. That's both just whatever comes to your mind. I so I give position you give me a bust or sleeper. Let's start with running back. Oh boy. David Montgomery, and you know, I know big twelve people here, we don't wanna talk they've really big production to twelve but this is a guy. I don't see creating for himself someone back in February. I think you can draft David Montgomery every drafts, and that's not that's not a bad nominate. But I'm just saying that position so undervalue is so undervalued NFL tour. I think you can get fourth-round fifteen hundred gave McGovern his skill set. There was a four six forty good good place link back crepe himself. I get that kind of back every dress. He just dropping the second third round a little too high for me. I think I think he has a really replaceable skillset quarterback who quarterback I'll go. I'll go boss Daniel Jones, Daniel Jones, the guy that I think we'll get drafting the top fifteen and you hear a lot. What's percent giants on the here's some which the Broncos as well is a guy that I think has. You know, he he's propped up as sky with David cut cliff the Manning's L connections. But he has marginal arm talent. I don't see a guy. Like, I think he's Ryan tannehill. He's the guy who I think kid play well in structure, but this is a guy I think is going to have a hard time transitioning traits fell game. Buster asleep or at wide receiver. Oh, sleep citizens half glass empty on other full and this one Carrie McLaren in Ohio State, really underutilized, you know, as a Buckeye Johnny dictionary Peres Campbell it played under a lot of good receivers chart. Once you got you really thrives. And now he wasn't really giving the ball production much Paris Campbell, Johnny dick. But the guy that was great routes. The explode them seem good vertical threat. I think you're a lot of fun digs and think you can get into third fourth round..

"And we're just going to do the interior defenders today, and in terms of the format we're going to completely switch it up because we wanted to new format where you know, while we're breaking these prospects kinda keep more sustained. We thought about what were the most important questions. We wanted to address more watching these guys. And when we're breaking them down one answer some questions, so we're going to do that in this podcast the questions just set. This whole thing up is projected NFL position. We're also gonna talk about their best trait. The prospects were straight any concerns red flags, you know. If they've had any injury history or in the off the field issues a wall so answer the question. How would they fit with the chargers? Of course, we're still going to give our grade and then what round were comfortable and taking them. So consensus might be a little bit higher than we are what round we're looking to take these guys. So that's how we're going to dress. This. I think it's going to be a little bit less dense than our other podcasts, which I know a lot of you like, but I think is going to move forward and kind of answer the important questions. Yeah. I think it's a kind of a fresh take on what we've been doing. I think it's just it's too easy to fall into the trap of just listing. You know, ten good traits. Ten bad traits, and we wind up repeating ourselves. And I think this is better way to kind of keep things short. But still hit the fine points and get the point across of what we think about these players. All right. So let's just go ahead and get into it. We've got five defensive tackles will move onto a sleeper and then give our top five or maybe even ten who knows? But we'll give our top defense tackles. I'll let's go. Ahead and start off with our list, and it is Quinton Williams at ala Bama. So in my opinion, Quinton Williams is basically he was born to play the three technique in the NFL, which is a one gap penetrating pass rushing defensive tackle, essentially Williams is best traits. I think he has to traits that are kind of off the charts one as his technique one as football IQ. He uses his hands. Extremely well. You can see him diagnosing plays often before the snap breaking through and breaking up plays. Frequently. I think is worst trait. Is he lacks pass rush pass? Rush counters if he doesn't win early. He usually does win early. But when he doesn't he can kinda get stuck in the mud because his hands kind of stop working, and he kind of struggles to free himself as he's trying to get field. I think the only real concerns with him or he has he has a little bit of a lack of natural power. And he doesn't really anchor all that. Well, so he's probably limited to being that three. Technique in a one gap system where you can just get up feeling penetrate. He's not a nose tackle. He's not gonna plug gaps and be a to gap guy on a consistent basis. Although he can't do it. It's not a strength. I think obviously with charters fit. We've talked about three technique. He is a natural three technique, and he'd fit beautifully there for the chargers. Although he will not be there when they draft at twenty eight this year, I have a ninety three for Williams. He's one of my highest greater players so far in the draft. I like him quite a bit take him at any point in the first round without hesitation. But like I said he won't be there at twenty eight when the charters draft. So it's not worth getting our hopes out for I have to say the worst part of having their windfall. Derwin James fall seventeen is now everybody is. Everybody's gonna fall. So when you go on, Twitter and go. Hey, quitting Williams is pretty good. And they're like, oh, hey German phone seventeen. Anything happened. Anything can happen. Not that. That's not gonna happen. Stop that. But yeah, you're right. So in terms of info position, he's definitely three Techni NFL. He's going to be a monster in the middle for some teams defensive line..

"About the draft for the two months leading up to the that's fair. And then he's asked about Nick Bosa and Quinton Williams and he had like an eight second answer. Seriously. It was it was just like those guys are game changers. Speaking Kingsbury at the meetings. He told reporters that he will implement implement a plan to keep his players attention to practice that he used the Texas. Tech cellphone breaks. That's what it is. Now Kingsbury said they're itching to get to those things. I think coming from the college ranks, obviously, those young men it's got to be quick hitters twenty minutes at a time. Give them a break and get them back in wes-, your thoughts. You know, when I worked for the post office, and I worked at a law firm and in downtown Cincinnati. I was always flummoxed by this ability of random smokers to just take breaks whenever they wanted that always. Fair, but cellphones make make sense to me like if you're going to allow smoke breaks definitely allow cell phone like you had this this habit. This addiction to nicotine in allowed your workday to be like thirty to forty five minutes shorter than the person that abstains from smoking point. He come back on the elevator and the whole elevator stinks. Because you've been smoking out there with all your good time, buddy. Ricky puts down two packs a day. So it's so frustrating when I was waitressing the bartenders or a waitress they would take their smoke breaks. And it's like we're in the middle of rush and you need to go out and smoke a cigarette for fifteen minutes. What if what if I was like, no, I'm gonna go stand outside for fifteen minutes. I'm not leaving you in the weeds like this. It's ridiculous. I don't really know too many people that smoke anymore, but there is still a size e portion of the population, and they all have chips on their shoulders. Don't tell me what I could do with my body. And it's like, you just ignore all the science on secondhand smoke in the fact that your clothes and hair stink. And now I stink because you do, but you don't have freedom. Do that is right. But if you're listening to the podcast and you smoke cigarettes. That's kuhlman. Just this moderation acknowledged secondhand smoke. As a thing that exists. I do like this like idea of kings barriers kind of like the millennial whisper that he's gonna come up with. This seem a little on the nose. Right. But it's not a bad idea. I it's fine. It's twenty Larry Larry FitzGerald everyone's going to be doing this player. Fitzgerald was talking about right? Exactly. Joe's talking on the podcast. How that's like one of the biggest differences that you know? It's kind of like a cliche thing for an older guy to say, but just that it's true everyone in the locker is on their phones. And so it's like a different vibe. But it is you know, it's changing gotta recognize it. You gotta roll with it. Don't fight against. But you know, all we ever talk about on. This damn podcast is how Bill Bill check is the head of the game and the patriots do things smarter. And better you think build us? What do you think Bill thinks about a guys needing? Maybe I think there are psychiatrists or psychologists. I always get confused on which one to use women who have toll Bill Belichick. This is a smart thing to do. I think the I think they have told all NFL coaches. This is the way it's going you'll get more production out of these players if you allow them to use cell phone what else Greg. What else did you hear? That was really how about Bruce Arians Gerald McCoy his superstar defensive tackle. Or is. He he's thirty eight point four million over the next three years of his deal..

"But you have -solutely do and you have it on a team in a program. That's a socio with being really serious really intense with a head coach that the perception is he doesn't play much, right? Tell me. How do you and Nick interact when he's being him in your being you? Rare say cool man like me have fun. Just like if the person ever another paying like go to go to work is hard. Hey, everything Hallward. No, smiles, no games and playing on the when you all do all the things you have fun. You smile about your heart and things like that. So I'm not on the flip it offense things where playing on the field. And I'm doing my hard work. I have fun in general. This granted with my husband going thing. I I worked and worked for the same goal. And then we see results call in the end. So I don't know. How could you be, you know, have fun? I was living. I did. I hope that show like a new list. But Quinn, it that Nick ever yell at you at any point this year last year every prayed every game ever played in every almost. I hear you. I I love coaching. I look I love conservatives because a food is a person who don't want to get better and don't want land from anything. So I feel like. When when people try to teach me something to make me better. I got the list. I gotta do they. They must all hit me. I live 'cause I don't know anything about the and I have borne day. I wanna know any clues. On he one who is taking would do this right to the ball. I love it. I love it. What you say a fool is a man who doesn't want to improve. Right. That's what you said. That was the line. Love it. Quinton williams. Very good. Good stuff looking forward to watching you seeing where you go in the draft and watching at that next level, man. Thanks for spending some time with us this morning. That's luck winning actually don't want him on your team. We'd love to have him on your team. No, goodness, please. Yes. No doubt. No doubt. That's fun. Mad Quinton Williams. And we'll both sides of the football coming on the show. I would call that a good day. We're not done yet. Eight spots in the Sweet Sixteen up for grabs today. Eight more tomorrow..

Or the bouncing balls will be getting ready to be thrown up before the first round the basketball tournament that of course in Nashville. We Jay Bilas on earlier he said, we'll wait should be fired. Didn't mince any words we've talked to Quinton Williams about the prospects of him going one or two in the draft. He's projected right now. A number two. We'll talk a little bit more about the varsity blues caper if you haven't heard about this one. We'll talk about it in about fifteen minutes. FBI investigation shocking. Parents trying to buy their way their children's way into college. I don't know where I've ever heard that one before allies in New Orleans. Hello, Al you're on you're on the air. Go right ahead. Thank taking me today. The special day my grandson came on early from school today. He said he lifted the Paul finebaum show. I said do you study get your books out the way? We'll take listening to you. I that's wonderful. Thank you. I know you the best you have a great sense of humor. If you if you listen to you can't with it's a great sense of humor, sometimes Jerry cutting. But anyway, thank you. At what point last year? Did you realize that there was something wrong with Alabama not talking about going to lock? There was this station. He the defense was not the same. But babies these guys included that potential, but when did you realize it? Yeah. I have to tell you that. I I'm not one of these guys. We'll tell you now that I knew there were a couple of signals early on the defense was not executing about mid delay mid to late season. I began hearing that the defensive coordinator tasha employ at had been relieved of his play calling duties that was not a good sign..

"Carla Murray did not participate in any on the field drills. But Ohio states Dwayne Haskins did and impress everyone with his throwing both of them expected to be drafted high. So we'll all miss receiver decay Metcalf. Maybe the best combines a four three three forty and twenty seven bench press reps place in the top five among all the major drills for white outs. And then brought on defense. Alabama's Quinton Williams. Second-fastest forty by three hundred pound player since two thousand six and Montas sweat made a lot of people very excited. And so it was we bring Ryan Clark into the conversation. And yeah, what have you Got got? a box. No actually really are season there being a month. I just can't handle being as much smaller than Maria as I am regularly. When she puts on the heels, but I didn't mean to slow us down. So we're gonna make you we have roaster dumps. And now, we have our sees the future. Ryan is going to look at it. Because the the off season really starts now. Okay. Free agency for all intents and purposes begins now, you're going to give us five things you see happening over the next period of time here that will be critical in the NFL. What people don't understand about the combine is they GM's? They don't go to watch guys run around in tight. They go to talk about free agency. See what type of guys they can get in. It's why we know that Nick foles is going to the Jaguars already. Right. So at number five. I wonder why the giants will let go of his guy, but landing college, and Landon Collins is going to be a Kansas City chief that was a team that was involved in trade talks with the giants last year trying to get landed before the deadline. And so now you go back to the to the playoffs, and you see rob gronkowski out there overusing the safe. He's from the Kansas City Chiefs Julian Edelman living inside the middle of the numbers in the middle of the field. Landing colleges a guy who can step up and play there. Every varies been injured. That's something. I see happening really soon. And your guy do Wayne Haskins. He is going to the giants. It's so if they have to to get him because they think somebody else wants to they'll do it. He is there guy. He has the right type of leadership the right type of composure to be a quarterback in New York. He also has the requisite skill to met, and when you have saquon Barkley Odell Beckham junior you wanna to get a guy that I think it's a great match. Marie. I think it's a great fit. And I believe they will have to trade up to do it. The giants sixty degrees me they will not get in and said, no they won't get him at six, but they have to make that decision. Like, you need Wayne Haskins yesteryear one hundred percent and number three Earl Thomas, the you. Remember Earl Thomas chasing, Jason Garrett. Donna totally pay compete me say, bro. Come get me. And he was still a Seattle. See all the time. And we all remember his great good. By way to the Seattle Seahawks while he's being courted. All he will be a Dallas car is they're gonna get paper. Look. Look from here. We always wanted to play for y'all. Beat us. But I come get me. I believe Earl Thomas becomes a Dallas cowboy also believe that he takes less money than we think to do. So how impactful is he on that team? Oh, he'll be huge for this team. The team are ready rush the passer they have great linebacker play from two youngsters adding Earl Thomas ads championship leadership. But also a guy that can wipe out things in the middle of the what's number two. So no murder two very unveil to your Team New York J like that. If I had a pie..

"Combines the next they'll be asked to show up a training camp and minicamp and all the things that are part of the NFL cycle. So they really have it down Pat from a training standpoint. And that's what you're seeing these like freak athletes like go watch. Jalen Ramsey, like he incident and stuff you'll see he's he's in great shape, too these elite level guys are doing things year route. So they're really like you're starting to see the younger guys shape to even earlier than before. How do you see the very top of this draft taking shape? Tyler Borrego's, number one. I think we see I believe that. I believe Josh Rosen playing in Washington. I don't know this for sure, but I believe that he will. I drown indications that he will be headed to Washington on in Cuyler with you to Arizona. And then I think some defensive players will go off the board quickly. I think Quinton Williams is going to be for the defensive tackle out of Alabama. He he had like what I'm going to say his combine results where exactly within the ranges that show like the help predict for someone to become above average or elite in the NFL, but they weren't like super burner. Right. Like, Rashawn, Gary. He's an edge had an even better day. But when I got a chance to talk to them, the defensive coaches, and they talk about footwork, and they talk about how many deaths before you have to be headed towards the quarterback. By the way, the answer is five like that. When they talk about the footwork like everything he did on film. Match everything that happened at the combine match how we interviewed. That's the one who I think like if I had to say who's the guy who I think is going to be a pro bowler really quickly. I think it might be that I think it might be pointing Williams. Back to the quarterback through a second city. I look what you did the post Columbine when you talked about people position group stock upside down and in the quarterbacks. For him big time. Yeah. You hit guy reject. Yeah. Tell me what you thought. I am six seven really heavy. I think it was like forty something. I can't remember off to forty nine forty nine. He ran like up four five six forty which was hilarious. And I know this is ridiculous. But when I watched their faces, and when I watched to see if they're having fun, and and really like, you know, like listening and just enjoying the moment. Like, this kid was just crushing it his, you know, people were talking about nobody nobody in November. I know people you're in your area knew who he was. But nobody really knew who he was nationally prior. But he made such a great impression on literally everyone like everyone's talking about his faith was great. There's only one quarterback who measured taller than him in the fifteen year sample, given he gets through this. Nope. It's Mike Glennon taller he's taller than Brock Osweiler. So rare to have such a hall quarterback. But he made such a great impression. And people were like, you know, what this kid like, you know, like, I'm I'm I'm liking what I'm seeing here. So I know I'm personally like I was a fan of how he handled himself. And we had the it factor. He had the great swagger like some of these things that when you talk to you, you obviously football's always like a marriage of liking the numbers and the philosophy and what you see on the field, and people were really, you know, people around the league because I was like who's your favorite sleeper amongst these four and I asked and I didn't get anyone to say anyone other than him. He's got affect his proteges right in the other side of the building here where we are next week. We're looking forward to that next week. He's going to be throwing the he just looks like he's having a great time. Yeah. I know. That's what he's having a great time. And like his baseless great people were happy with this throws. You need a good impression. I I really truly hope you know, he gets a chance and one more quarterback. I wanna ask you about doing your stock up down. Kevin murray. Didn't do anything at the combine. And yet you had to stock going up. How? Complexes at literally the only thing anyone was worried about with him was his measurable tall enough. I don't think anyone went to the combine team wise that thought he's gonna throw. I I mean, I don't think anyone thought he maybe people thought he would participate some of the drills. But I think everyone was like, Nah, I think he's getting measured and there was like thresholds. Oh my God. He's gotta be at least five ten he measures in five ten or below. Oh, it's up to me. Terrible plan, blah, blah, blah at five ten in one eight which is hilarious to me. But that was all it took and nine and a half inch chance, hence is attempting especially in cold weather climates and people are really concerned about right. So that like nine inch nine inches or nine nine and a quarter inches is really small. It can be. So he's in the range, then and a half is fully fine. Fully find where where he needs to be any was heavier than people thought he was killed seven or two eight. So I was gonna ask I was going to ask you about that cynthia's Ernie's any question about him putting on weight just for the combine and not being able to function athletically, like he has in college at that way. That's a great question. I think here's how I feel like people are viewing. I think people are viewing him as if you want to if you if you wanna play that style. He's he's great. I feel like a lot of a lot of people are kinda like like, I think Arizona. Robbed him. And then after about it. I'm not really sure people are more like it kind of feels like the if I were taking the temperature of the room. It says gone real quick we're looking at either like Dwayne Haskins or off or they're Cinemax. You had a really nice combine as well. Let's question I have for you. And it's back to your stock up sock down offensive lineman who had a good week at the combine, maybe. Yeah. Donna Williams out of Alabama was kind of like was he thought he'd be like everyone thought he'd be the best about way? But you know, I was really I obviously. So I went to Boston College undergrad. And I am telling you there's there's no bias here. But I'm excited because people were drawing comparisons between him and Cody white hair. He's another kind of I'm gonna say not ideal size or like weird size person tackles. We'll probably move them inside crystalline be even been taking some snaps under center. So that's it's drawn that sort of bears. Cody white hairs, you know, that's a really nice comparison based comparison pro or no big deal. Just a really good, dude. So he he drew comparisons. There. He really he did some great thing for himself tested. Really? Well, his interviews went really well. And that's a big deal, especially for the line position. Those interviews for guys like that. Are they take those really really seriously? They sent the OB happen to know that my partner Steve Tasker here is going to do an in depth analysis of the last six years of our guests on the show and rank them according to analytical, and headaches and your eyes. Yeah. You're going to get a good grade. I think I think. Let's see. We'll let you Matt. Make that break go. Hi, mathematicians are always welcome. Thank you, sit there and great talking with you. Yeah. Great talking to you. Thanks, Cynthia Freeland NFL network analytics expert, you can get your work on NFL dot com and on the NFL network joined us on the subway fresh stake hotline, presented by subway restaurants. Probably locally owned and operated. You know? What I didn't ask Steve just because I don't I you probably was getting tired of listening to us. But. There's a whole ran into people over the weekend. Where were you? Combine what the heck is that that underwear Olympics? Nobody pays attention to it. No, look, it is what it is. It's measurements is medical tests. And it's in it's tests on the field, and it does have. Meaning it's not the deciding factor on who gets drafted wear, but it's important information that can be analyzed as Cynthia does. So well analyze and dissect it, and you can rank people it's just another point of reference in. This guy is is is a chance to be a better player than this guy based on some of the stuff that goes on at the combine it's not the deciding factor. Yeah. Here's the thing. These teams have been watching film on all of these players for months all the way through their seasons this past year, some of these guys are sophomores, Richard sophomores. Some of these guys the teams didn't even know we're going to be available in this draft. They might not even a come out to be a declare for the draft. So they watch all these guys on film. And what that combine is is the first chance for all these teams, and these let's face it there. Their experts as much of an expert as you can be they go in there. And they look at these guys nee valuate him. They've seen a hundred kids just like them and this and they evaluate why this kid's going to be different. Why is he going to be good and this other one over here? Look a lot like him was bad. They get paid to make those calls and the combine is information that these teams chisel in stone. They find out about them. And they and they evaluate them on that. So it is important, and they take it very seriously. That's how this thing got started. And because they all every was spending all this money trying to go out and find guys look for guys and stuff, and they said, listen, we all all of a sudden they look around and every time they go to school the same other teams or they're looking at the same guy and say, why don't we bring these guys in save ourselves a ton of money tons of time. All we're doing really is finding out if they really are as tall as they say, they are and as and as heavy as they say, they aren't as fast as they said, let's see. And so when they started doing it, and then they started expanding what they what else they did. I want to can we interview this kid? I want to sit down talk with them all in one place. You know, what how you know? We think the correlates with success explosion. Let's see how high they can jump off two feet. Let's see how far they can jump off. And then they started adding this other stuff in. And now they're selling tickets. Well, do we talk about we've talked about the combine for over a week? Now, did we talk about this? I heard the rumor down in India last week that there's some people think, you know, the, greedy network people think that maybe the combine should be spread out over two weekends to make it two weekends of national TV. It's on it was on ESPN and ABC and the NFL network this past weekend, that'd be a lot. I mean that would be kind of you know, I know the league does a good job of making sure every is collected foot. That would be a little too much. I would not be surprised if it goes on live primetime. Yeah. I've heard that too. Yeah. Because here's the thing. These are these are kids from college football is face. It's a big industry. And there are a lot of people who are fans of these kids. "Tom mcshea here on the rich Eisen show. Who's who's number one right now your best guesses at Bosa could possibly be Haskins? How do you see this playing out shuffling now that we know who's in the mix Todd Bosa in Quinton Williams defensive tackle from Alabama? Are the two best football players in this draft. I also picked the first five teams you could look at their quarterback situation, and there's not a desperate need necessarily. Who knows you know, friend, Jon Gruden has a little bit of quarterback ADD. So you never know where that's going to go. But I think. If you look at the history, and most importantly, the recent history Cleveland couldn't trade trade up because they had the first pick. But just about every other team the last few years has traded up to get quarterback. So it won't shock me. If it's the giants moving up from six Jacksonville from seven maybe even Denver from ten if there's some movement to go up to to get a quarterback Haskins could wind up going a lot earlier than maybe people expected. But I legitimately do think. He's a cop show. I route quarterback deserves to be drafted in the top ten the more. I study of him the more. I really appreciate his game. I'd love to see more than fourteen starts. But you know, Trubisky had thirteen starts we scrutinize that. He hasn't been great. But he's been good enough. And and I think we'll go through the whole process with with Haskins. And I I I really do think when we get to the draft. There will be a lot of people that are comfortable with Haskins as a top ten pick. And who knows with Tyler teams are. Vincent wouldn't shock me. If he was in the top ten fifteen picks overall as well. Hitting isn't amazing. I mean, this wouldn't even been considered five years ago prior prior to the RPO's and the the the college offense being more. It really has. And the more coaches, I talked to and the more. You study the tape the more you have to just kinda let go of the old. You really do. It doesn't have to be six five in the pocket statue get the ball out. All those things it can't be undersized moving around creating your own passing lanes. I mean, drew Brees six foot. Russell Wilson's five. Ten three eighths inches. Baker mayfield. I mean, all of these guys that are having success. And I understand that they're still Philip rivers and Tom Brady and so on and so forth. But the game is changing to more of a spread tempo game where undersized quarterbacks can succeed in the league. And I think you're ignorant if you don't start realizing that and it probably took me a year or two too long to start realizing it then and Todd mcshay than there's to come down the pike and then Trevor Lawrence I mean, holy crap him being six six two or six five. Or whatever he might be. And we asked this question on our on our poll question after the national championship game. We asked to my colleague, and and your counterpart in Daniel, Jeremiah. I'd love to ask you the question. We we said if you could take stock over the next ten years in somebody, and we gave you Trevor Lawrence. We gave you two or anybody drafted in the twenty eighteen draft class. That's a quarterback. Who would you choose? What would you take? It would be it would be Trevor and to be totally honest with you. It would have been. I don't wanna say fifty fifty. I would have leaned Trevor before the game, but head to head watching that it was there was a clear difference. Why and step up and that stage into be nervous early? That was the other thing that really impressed me. His first three throws stared me because he you know, he's he was forcing it. He was uncomfortable. But to settle down in that stage against admitted being the best Alabama defense but defensive throw so many different looks at you. And and has so much talent. Even though it's not the best. It was really impressive to me. And I just I think that that was one of the one of the moments that you watch. It's almost like watching the Andrew luck. You know, when you're just you're so certain that if things work out healthwise, he's he's just going to be a great pro..

"Inside Levi stadium where the crowd will start filing in momentarily for tonight's national championship game. It's one versus two. And I bet you knew that already. It's a national championship. And we are here getting you ready and who better than Todd mcshay touch. Thanks so much. I want to talk about any week we discussed earlier on college football live. We were talking about Quinton Williams who many people believe is going to be the most important person to watch tonight. You're in evaluator of talent, you're among the leading NFL the college players scouts in the world. How much did you know about him in the off season? Very little little. I was studying Ray on Davis is Ahah bugs Christian Miller, those guys. And usually if you're studying tape at a guy will pop out stop down the tape and go look them up ninety two just didn't he didn't flash enough. He's a redshirt sophomore last year was his first year. And then this year he comes out, and he's thinking completely different person in terms of his just the intensity tonight. And then also his hand usage has got really good at he fires off the ball quickly and gets into your pads. But then what's he gets there? He's so slippery because he's quick with his hands and his violent with his hands. So he's got a player that again, I really didn't know much about two. It won't surprise me. At all. If he's the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. We've seen players come out of nowhere and win the Heisman. But what are the odds of coming out of nowhere? And being the first player taken. Not very high. You know? It's rare. We know about the Nick Voces of the world we've known about Christian Wilkins, Dexter, Lawrence and Cleland rural. And and all the big name defensive linemen that are come off the border early in the draft. And even at the quarterback position. We knew about Wayne Haskins. We didn't know what was going to be this good. But we knew about him. And we knew there was potential there. But it's rare. I mean, it usually is a player that just didn't play a whole lot got one year to come up way and had a monster year. But but you don't see it very often. Not to be a top five pick. In terms of what impact he can have tonight. I would think it's pretty pretty pretty monumental. I too. I think it's one of the matchups where Alabama has a significant advantage because clemson's offensive line plays. Well, as as a whole together, they're well coached or bunch of juniors and seniors, so they have experienced together. But individually, there's not an offensive lineman in this group that I look at and say he belongs in the first three rounds. You know? So I think the -bility to move him around. They're going to have to come since going to have to try to figure out double team. Even that hasn't worked Yokohoma tried that with one of the best offensive lines in college football that didn't always work. So I will be interested in one thing is I watched him last week studied the tape the first half. He was he was great. He was dominant. Like he was against Georgia LSU and other big gains. He injured reinjured his hand actually during that game. And I didn't think he was the same player in the second half as he wasn't the first half. So it's something to keep an eye on. But if he's coast one hundred percent, I think he's gonna be real real matchup problem Todd mcshay with this as the crowd getting ready for tonight's game pretty dominant dating Alabama crowd behind Todd on the other side. Give us a player to you mentioned quite a few already, but the stars defensive line. Yeah. Cleveland furrow. To me is depre- mayor player playing for Clemson in this game. I think he's got a chance to be top ten top twelve pick. He's one of the best edge rusher in this year's class. Kristen Wilkins is another one. And then nice thing you're obviously missing Dexter Lawrence. Of course. But when you have Austin Bryant who's probably going to be a third fourth round pick defensive end. And then Albert Huggins is a day three draft pick. How many teams can trot out their fifth defensive lineman in say that he's going to be a you know, a draft pick in the upcoming class. So they're gonna miss Lawrence..

"Didn't have the supporting cast, right? He he fought valiantly. He didn't back down. He wasn't on. And you're not always going to be on. You're not always going to have your a game. But I like the way that he competed. What Loa was operating with was a run game. Yup. Collar Murray had no run game. And when you do that against Alabama. It's going to be a long night with Quinton Williams and break Juan Davis in your lap. So he definitely was behind the eight ball very different situation than what to. Had the run game and a hefty lead for the majority of the game to work with as well. Kind of wish would another another season of Kyla Murray. Playing college football. This might very well be the end he might never take another real football snap against poss-. I hope we get to see him play. I hope he decides to give it a shot in the NFL because I think his game is being more well received. I don't think that his size is going to be as big an issue as it has been for for some of the people that have come before him. I would love to see if his game would translate to the NFL you get to be the first guy on your block Greece to talk about the championship game. He me a quick thought on Alabama Clemson part three. I'm really excited to see what Trevor Lawrence can do in this kind of situation, obviously, they they steamroll Notre Dame. But I wanna see Trevor Lawrence against this defendant. I wanna see that offense line for Clemson against this defensive line. And then I think the other thing is Alabama's offensive line control. The line of scrimmage like they did tonight if they can do that then it's going to be very difficult to beat them. But I think dabbled Sweeney's going to look at the Georgia game when Georgia controlled and was more physical than. In alabama..

"That is Nick Bosa, and according to Todd mcshay he is projected to be the number one pick in the draft mcshea. I mock of the season dropped this morning. He's got Bosa going number one to Rashawn Gary for Michigan to to the forty Niners defensive tackle Quinton Williams. Going three to the raiders you sensing a trend. It's all defense. This look how heavy Marcus spears is. Please someone talking about a quarterback. Okay. Thank you mcshea has states Dwayne Haskins going number ten to the giants. Actually the second of two quarterbacks. He has projected in the top ten Justin. Herbert he has no going number seven to Jacksonville. And then again Haskins out of Ohio State going number ten to the giants. And it's an interesting question. I want to phrase it in two quick ways. The first of them is you made the point this morning. You think that the better prospect between Haskins and Herbert is Haskins you like Haskins better than Herbert. And you don't think Herbert's coming out this year? Anyway, I don't think he's gonna come out this year. I think he's getting advice to stay at Oregon for another year. And I think it's the best thing. For him has does make sense for him to come out. You like Haskins to the giants. If that's the way the thing. I really liked it. I liked it. I liked it. With the talent. I like the ability that he shown the play calm under pressure. And look we are seeing rookie quarterbacks have success. Now this league is transitioning to doing a lot of what they do in their systems and schemes coming from college. So I really do like the way Haskins in the judge. How many do you think it's a drafting quarterbacks and having them succeed early. It's kind of a crap shoot. I think they need to trade away that pick and maybe packs pack of some other things and get a guy like teddy Bridgewater and there that they can win. Now as long as they have saquon Barkley under this rookie contract they need to win. Now, if they go after a rookie quarterback and fails their window closes, I agree with you there a built to win right now. Kind of team what you could consider doing Laura legit. You couldn't drap. I love the idea of getting Bridgewater. And there's a bunch of other names that have been floated out there Flaco when others you could also drafted Dwayne Haskins. Not trade the pick and keep alive for another season and make one more run the way they have it..

"Right. You could Sit Aye because. People in front of them. So I'm talking about two guys in Quinton Williams. Deontay Thompsons the free safety. And he's got that. Maliki Hooker sorta love for forum where you watch him, and you go I wonder if he's gonna make it to this ball. He makes it all the way designed likes. He's got fantastic instincts. Read super well on any can fly. You've got good balls goes up in the Louisville game that he put on early in the season was teaching Tate. Yana me like savings gonna use an ad for his free say he's the next decade incredible fell. But then it's Quinton Williams the defensive tackle who really is like a top three Blair for me. He's above at all of her for some. And I think that's got some serious run to Quin Williams of a better size on the interior on. He might even have better pass rush ability than at all over. He's going up against good interior offense of line in LSU. Gary Brumfield is the left Gordon. They're LSU. And I like him a fair babies. Great athlete. I think he's a really steady player a smart player when he gets beacon recover pretty nicely. I you know, he's he's able to he doesn't he doesn't lunch. That's a really good trait. And you're gonna get back when Williams. His Williams and animal onto Quinton Williams against left guard gear Brumfield LSU, my big match up to watch really excited Brumfield against obviously the top competition is to face, and then Williams has just been right? Williamson feasting on everybody. Opposite him. Oh from take a little bit of the wind out of his sails may move start to find some weakness in Quinton Williams game right now haven't really been able to find much was so must watch a game for anybody. That's into the draft happening Saturday night. APM check that out John before we go. I've been known to frequently asked questions for the locked on NFL draft fan, Friday episodes and those questions are exclusively history questions. And I know you love them so much and look forward to them as a history buff yourself. So in honor of that. I have a history question for you. Are you ready for this job? I've mean probably not bullets the Alexander, the great at twelve or thirteen years old was said to have tamed a wild faciliate horse named Yussef Lewis. Who his father king Philip purchased for him at a price of thirteen talents? Which thirteen talents is worth a month's salary of a fully loaded. Try rim of two hundred men in case, you are wondering we've currently said six words, I don't know. Doesn't own fourteen. I don't know. So Alexander abuse going all types of adventures together in Alexander plundered, and concord and all that stuff were with this horse. Why is the story of Alexander the great taming beautifullest at the age of twelve or thirteen completely implausible, John your theory implausible to have happened to have actually happened. Yeah. By why is it exaggerated wise it part of the Alexander romance? Why why is it why is likely nonsense? Well, I don't know a lot about breaking in horses. But I would imagine that a twelve or get a pretty rough ride based on if you're talking about a wild horse and needs broken in. I don't know there's many twelve year olds trot out there and get it done unless we're talking about like deforest Buckner when he was twelve or something like that. Just picture visualizing. But you need a pretty you need a very man size twelve year old. I think to be able to get that job done. Is that a fair answer? That's fair Zander was pretty short. So I do kinda like that answer. John do you want my response now or do you want it in the form of video reply as? I T. How can I say no to the video replied, that's the problem? I kinda wanna know now. But also, I couldn't I need the video reply. So I'm gonna go at the video. Okay, after I dropped this hit you up on Twitter with the with the video reply in the mentioned, so gentleness nurse look out for that. John. Thank you so much for joining us today.
