"That's my job. If you have to commute to work you know it. Just know that it's gonna take you now to get the work you know in his. You just put up with it. It doesn't mean it's not stressful of course but but you prepare yourself for it and then the other piece which is really important is to is to get the feedback from the people from the voters that say you know we support. You agree with you and that that does help because bolsters you against at the negativity at the end of the day. I treat it as a you know. It's my job to do that to say that. Know white my personal feelings are Important at the end of the day so in the digital come up woman. I have feelings but i just try to kind. Of course that aside low bid say this isn't about you that's right. It's funny when you say to talk to the voters. I think that's saved me so many times i. I don't listen to the voters. I listened to the the community listeners. The viewers that the people in our life that are listening to what i say you know because lot of times most hopefully most of the time. They're like yeah. You're right yeah you keep going. No one's saying that you should be saying that but every once in a while no you get the feedback where it like. You know you kinda went too far here. You know what i mean or you'd miss this little facts screwed up this and if you're not willing to hear that feedback like like you're never gonna get better grow or become good. You know so. I think that's really the most important thing. And i think unfortunately a lot of city councillors and higher elected they kind of get away from that and they only focused on that every four years or two years when they're running for election and once they get election they don't listen they don't talk to us anymore. And that's what. I really a couple of things. I really love about quinton. i'm just get this is like a a feel good roast almost view right now number one is you're really smart. You're always diving into the issues. And the fine you know details coming up with a smart ideas and smart lucians..
Massive Coolers at High Stakes Live Cash
"Let's dive in to these hands. We're going to start out with hand from live at the bike. John you wanna break down the action for. Yeah if you're so this. I believe they're playing by one hundred one hundred two hundred fifty one hundred. Two hundred eighty as the big wind is two hundred dollars. Jd opens quinton off suit to eight hundred. James wakes up with aces and the cut off and puts an a pretty standard size three. But this is where the hand starts getting a little wacky. Honestly andy wakes up in the struggle with pocket kings and decides to just flat the through bet listening the audio commentary for this had and the commentators seem to imply that like. Jd had some reason to be tilted before the start of this and he started the hand with exactly twelve thousand dollars. So i think it's very possible that maybe he got stacks very Like you know maybe right before this hand and just reloaded for twelve k And thought that maybe. Andy is trapping kings here with the hopes that jd would find some sort of four bet Or you know just rip in his twelve k stack over the three but And he'd be able to kind of put. James tough spot if james aside flat or or do something with After three bedding so Yeah already sort of often kind of a strange. Start here with andy. A flooding the kings pre flop. Do you know anything about james specifically because it could be the james He is an elderly gentleman. And so is it possible that james just has such a tight three about range that andy doesn't have a four bit range versus james three but i mean okay so what i know about james is. He's a regular on these high six games on my but the bike he plays very very frequently. I'm gonna assume that he's not a professional or like never was a appro. But you know i think he's like you said like leave. It reaches certainly going to be tighter than it should be that being said like i. I still can't see. Andy not forgetting kings just as the standard plate universities. A three from james i. I don't think james is is someone who only has like aces kings queens in king. I think he's gonna at least have you know more more hands than like the ultra-tight wreck player through about range. I mean we'd have to ask andy to know what his strategy construction is here. We can't no i think. The commentators speculating in the same way that. we're speculating. And i think that you know this is. They're very deep here right. Yeah pretty deep spot. It's a three about pot. Already to andy and i don't know i'm not exactly sure. Always constructing is prefab strategy. I do know that. He called very quickly though which means that he kind of knows what he's doing in this spot for some reason or another whether it be the read that like you know the twelve k stacks just gonna jayme it in Although you know facing a three bad and then a cold flat like you have to think that the twelve k stack is going to be a little hesitant to just acts stack in no matter how tilted they
Detroit Lions Release CB Quinton Dunbar, Sign RB Craig Reynolds
"Released a couple players the other day and then today They released veteran corner Quinton Dunbar and signed free agent running back Craig Reynolds. Now I think this is in response to the fact that DeAndre Swift, who has been injured in Lyons, camp is probably not going to be healthy enough. To play tomorrow. I'm guessing that's why they signed this running back to just have a body, right. Am ready to go away. I guess I don't know. But they're making me I

Flipping the Script: A Look Into the Detectives Behind Yvonne Layne's Case
"That we've heard firsthand from an expert about the type of person she believes could have killed yvonne lane someone angry. Who knew von personally and had a reason to attack her with a vengeance and we've heard how botched the crime scene was how the scene didn't match what joe said. I think it's important to take a close look at who exactly detectives were on the case and turn the tables instead of putting the victims under the microscope. I wanna put the cops under it and look at their records and try to figure out why this case was such a mess. I've already talked about a couple of alliance. Police officers like quinton artists. A patrolman who you on allegedly said had started harassing her after a traffic stop. Artists is now a registered sex offender. Then they're officer rick. Who's last name. I'm keeping private for now. Who detectives told the psychic was rumored to be dating. You're on and possibly the father of her youngest child. But now i wanna focus on the four detectives assigned to the case as you may know already. If you've been digging through case files on patriotic. They were detectives. Lloyd bud samson william muko mark walsh and john leech and i want to start with john leech on april first nineteen ninety nine detective. Leach was not on duty yet. He was called in to help. Here's detective samson in his two thousand eight deposition. you've heard clips from before to assist us. Exactly his day off when he got called in. That was true that he was called off vacation to help us this case. And we've called in whether or not was vacation a lot. I don't recall that but yeah he was called in. Did you make the decision. That would be an order now. I do not but somebody did. And so each mccall on the day off part time off and helped samson says. There was no quote lead detective on the case. But according to samson he and bill mucciolo did most of the investigative work leach was mostly on the case to assist like mark welsh. In fact. i won't go into mark welsh much because he wasn't a big part of the case at all.
Quentin Tarantino Admits This Challenged Him Creatively More Than Anything
"Quentin tarantino. Is one of the most celebrated screenwriters of generation but he's just released his very first novel three decades into his career novella based on his movie once upon a time in hollywood that greatly expands the story and characters and even though quinn's comfortable behind keyboard with whatever he writes he does admit making the transition from screen to book was challenged he tells deadline. Screenplays are really easy for me. I'm not saying. I don't work hard. I really work hard. But i know how to do it writing a novel. A piece of prose wasn't necessarily hard but it wasn't easy. I've never done it before. It was different than what i've been doing before. I've been writing these quasi novels as my screenplays but a quasi novel is not the same thing as a novel. Quinton says in the he still plans to retire from directing after his next film but hasn't decided exactly what that project will beat his novella. Once upon a time in hollywood is out. now
Promoting A Team Member To Customer (You Know, Firing Them)
"You have to promote a team member to customer and yeah. I guess it's a really nice way of saying you're fired or you let go and it's never easy to do no matter how righteous it is or how needed necessary. It's not fun thing to do when you think about things like the the apprentice show or we all sat there and just just couldn't wait to see who was fired next and of course it was reality. Tv wasn't really realistic. By any means. I get all of that or how the movie up in the air with george. Clooney were his job. His company that he worked for was to help other companies downsize. Could you imagine just traveling around. I know again. It's a movie but those positions were real might still be real that they pay other people to go fire people in other companies. I can't even imagine being in a company like that were. They couldn't do that on their own front about it. Can you just imagine if that's what you did. Is you traveled around ending other people's careers. You could grow yours because really firing starts with the leader in the sense of the word from the hiring process the on boarding process coaching daily. Showing your team. How to win Do you even have a structure for people who aren't performing before you just cut them. Loose is it's easy in a sense for example on a sales team because you have really hard data that's immediate. They're either hitting a sales quota or not were. Maybe some other jobs are a little harder to quantify and say is this person really effective or not so. Do you have a structure in place that really encompasses what they need to be winning in order to say. Hey you're effective. You're you're making an impact in our company or not and when you don't do that if you don't really address it because you're you're worried about. Hey who's going to do all this work or a. There's such a great person and all that other kind of stuff did you create a quinton stay mindset with a lotta people

Toyota, Honda to Halt Some U.S. Production Over Supply Shortages
"Both honda and toyota will halt production at plants. In north america over supply shortages. Toyota will intermittently cut shifts or production. Lines honda will stop production at several plants for a week. Starting march twenty second. A lot of industries are dealing with a shortage of raw materials including plastic related products. That are used to make everything from medical face shields smartphones. Let's bring mark editor quinton web into the conversation. He joins me from hong kong. Hello clinton quinton. This all goes back to the freeze. We saw in february in texas. That's right reflects. Basically the fact that the gulf coast is a huge center for the production of plastics. Something to his grown in importance since the fracking revolution and the deep freeze in february really took a lot of production. Offline and some of these plants are very complicated. And it's risky and so it takes a long time to bring production back online and that means shortages kinds of plastics prices rising very rapidly. Pvc polyvinyl chloride other plastics. Such as polyethylene up as well and as you say that's affecting all kinds of industries people like comic is paint manufacturers homebuilders all kinds of companies feeling the squeeze and with these price increases quinton. It's a logical question to has. Can we as consumers see any changes in what we pay. Potentially i mean the journal has a big story about this today and the At least one company executive who says this is probably gonna lead to cost increases consumers at the very least it's going to cost you know the companies that are on the bearing the brunt of this extra money i guess. In some cases they might decide to kind of absorb. Those cost increases rather than possum onto consumers if the alternatives become less competitive but sending gonna cost companies money and some of that cost increase. May in the end be passed onto you and me
New Star Trek Movie in the Works

Winter Weather Affects Daily Routines and Livestock
"Millions of americans were without power after a storm brought snow ice blackouts and record setting low temperatures to swaths of the country on monday. A tornado struck in north carolina. Killing three people whether in recent days has left at least twenty people dead according to the associated press as we talked about last night on the show one of the hardest hit states has been texas as people there deal with power outages and bitter cold. Some farmers and ranchers are facing a crisis for that we turn to market senator clinton web high quinton so quinton to quote the texas agriculture commissioner. No feed no water and no heat doesn't make for a good situation. What is agriculture. They're confronting right now. That's a very clear. Summary from the commissioner extreme weather in texas has very disruptive for the farming community of course texas is a major agricultural sense at one of the largest in the country by the livestock poultry and that has created all kinds of problems with this extreme winter weather so those range from pipes freezing which means that poultry farms get. What's two chickens to mills being unable to operate which means problems with creating new animal feed to you know problems with getting enough water for cavs castle to cavs dying of exposure. It's really very difficult picture. We should point out. Texas is home to one of the country's largest dairy herds. What's happening with milk production. That's right so there's one cooperative. For example in dallas as a consequence of power rationing. They have had to close that processing plant and of course kyrgyzstan stop producing milk. Just because the power is rationed and the press plan is closed and so that results in this terrible can of wasteful situation where the ultimate the farmers are forced to pour the unprocessed milk onto their fields. This is something we'll be watching throughout the day. Quinton web thanks so much. Thanks very much
Celebrating The Class Of 2020
"Twenty twenty was a year of big changes for me as well. I took on hosting the show. It's almost been half a year and time has really flown. I remember when i found out that. I got the gig. I was buying pajamas. The official outfit and university of twenty twenty when the call came in and i yelled into my phone what And then there were a few other choice words I won't share here. I then went. And i grabbed a second pair of. Pj's a celebration gift to myself. And every time. I put on those. Pj's i think of that day it was a good moment. Another great moment was earlier. This season when i got a chance to speak with actor lorne cardinal who won the imaginative august schellenberg award of excellence. The award recognizes the work of an indigenous actor whose work celebrates the spirit and commitment that schellenberg showed over the course of his career. One of lawrence. Most recognizable roles is sergeant davis. Quinton from the hit. Tv show corner gas. I asked him if he thought taking on. The role of davis changed the course of his career. It did it did in the fact that just national recognition and from all all people they just know really like davis and the davis is basically my version of a pachinko clown. That's how i approached him. Was everything was exciting to him. Everything was new and fresh. That's where he gets so excited all the time because he's actually excited. He loves it totally. he's never halfway with anything. He's all in or nothing. And i mean what a gift to be able to play like a funny indigenous character right because frequently it is. It can be a lot of the same note. I think for seven dizziness actor so to be able to play you know a lovable clown and just live in that world of comedy for all of those seasons and still even now. Because you're doing the animated show right physical comedy. So i was able to bring those chops in as well with that innocent so i was throwing stuff in there and they were kind of like okay. Slow down there turbo easy. Then i can do okay. I'm like that if anyone gives me a prop it's all over. Couldn't find out what it does one of my favorite episodes of security cam. When i got to play with my keizer and i got the police. Shield is well. So how can they have fun with this dropping my hat and bend over and like getting myself into the throat with the police. Shield all the time and then trying to get into the car with the police. Shield while i'm into ended up seeing myself in guide to help me get out behind the wheel behind the glass in the driver's seat. When okay i'm getting phobic now you know it's one of the things. You're blessed with incredible writers. The comedy writers in canada working on that show so we didn't have to do any improvising or anything like that was all scripted and we stuck to the script and we made choices not to bring up the indigenous background of davis. He is what he is. The only time we did we did do. It was a great cup episode. Where davis leaves the tickets for the grey cup somewhere. And they're at the game and he can't find him and stuff in my partner tear. Is you know. Maybe they're in a glovebox. No because they're for gloves. They're not there and i said well i'm just go over there and get them off that person over there and then and tears go no. You can't do that you can't go scalped tickets. You can't do that and i go. Why because of macree man and she goes no. Because you're a cop and it's illegal in but in that scene original scripts said why. Because i'm a native man and so we had the discussion said i don't identify myself. As a native man i'm a crewman. So that's how davis would respond. I'm a man put. The writers wanted no no. We need a native. i said okay. So every take we did i said crewman producers. Come up to me. Say okay. Let's not just give them one so they have it. In the canon. The writers will be happy. Oh sure yeah okay. Let's do it again. I just would not budge on that. Because i know if i did it once they would use that one so i didn't give them any option and i explained. I said this is how i view myself is davis would view and so he doesn't say he's a native man he says he's creek like backwards heritage in one of the episodes. They wanted me to say the eskimo debate came up. And i said i'm not saying eskimo so again i had to defend my stand because i didn't want other people could say it but you know this is a derogatory remark to our brothers and sisters. So i'm not gonna. I'm not gonna say that. I'll say i'll say in you it.

Control of NFC West at stake as Arizona Cardinals visit Seattle Seahawks
"To bottle up one of the NFL's top young quarterbacks. Here's Bill Heisman Trophy winner Cuyler Murray, using his arm and legs to lift the Arizona Cardinals to first place in the NFC West. Seahawks Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner notices Murray running with more of a purpose this season. Honestly, I think is the confidence I think when he first got into the you watched him On on a film when he was making the runs. He was just kind of run out of bounds Post Seattle Starting corners Quinton Dunbar and Shaquille Griffin did not practice Tuesday because of injuries. Unlikely they played tomorrow night at home against the Cardinals. Pac 12

"You know like It's go go way back when when Eric Lindros was coming out of junior. He had nothing to prove. Correct, right? He's 18 years of age. He's a man he can move on there's other guys and dry settle started in the NHL but then had to go back into Junior because yes, he was putting up points, but there was more to his game. There was more to the NHL than just scoring. God bless you for saying that because I constantly get in fights with people where they say the point of the game is to score goals and I was a notes the point of the game is to score more goals than your opponent off when when the kings were making their decision by field versus just how much contact did they have with you every every team will call, you know, if you're if you're in in the running to get a top pick in that player is on your team, they're going to call and ask for you know, all the information that you can give and give us a coach and a girl who they're comparing them to and it's difficult for me as a culture in the Ontario Hockey League to of compared Clinton to Sutro because I don't see suits on Monday night owl. I see Quinton everyday right know they're going to call they want their background information. And then it's up to you telling Rob Blake to make that final decision along with their head scalped. So yeah, you are in contact with them and then age, you know them give them for me the way I work is I give them the information all the information they want good the bad right? You're I'm selling player, but I'm not going to sell them something that he's not if Quinton does wind up playing another season in Sudbury. I don't know if you've got other guys, but I imagine you might have other guys drafted to other NHL teams. Is there ever any sort of extra pressure whether it's from the teams or just subconscious to make sure that these guys who have been drafted are, you know, getting the right I slime to help their career or being a huge case or highlighted. Is it difficult to juggle those responsibilities? It does come in there. So if Quentin comes back home He was last last year. He was the best player in our league. So now now we're coming back. He's a year older. I would you know, put some pressure on the on the organization and the staff in order to you better be taking a run at the Memorial Cup player. Like this doesn't come around very often, right. So now it's it's a lot of moving Parts but now, you know, we have two other month. We'd have three four other guys who are getting to a point when you go Clinton put you over the top. Final question and feel free not to answer it. Would you have taken Quinton Byfield with the first overall pick in this year's draft.

"I think you can yes, and and that's a it's a question that would have been asked a lot about him here on it. You know people would say about hockey sense and I think what's happened some time that he plays it so fast that some of his linemates weren't there to speed with him thinking it and again when he takes off I didn't have I wouldn't have too many guys on my team that could could play em and sync with him. So I think when he gets to the NHL when things are done faster quicker, it might simplify his game a little bit more and even better player in in him back to make the play he wants to play because somebody's already there how difficult this is sort of a a side question. But how hard is it to gauge the real talent and potential of a guy who's sixteen Seventeen eighteen years old when he's playing in these leagues surrounded by other players that maybe won't have the same kind of career as they will it gets tough. Yep. It would always be nice to see and and when you talk for when you asked me with my question about going to the draft is I played with Todd Warner who was also a high pick in the NHL in the Ottawa sixty-seven just had this year with Jack Quinn and Marco Rossi and you know, if you can put two elite players on a team on the same line that are NHL caliber and wonder Center one swinger. I think then you'll start to see how good these players are and how they dominate games and you know for for Quinton at times as coach. I was trying to find guys that were going to play with them. So some nights he'd have different linemates. So it was like, how do we keep Clinton going? We know he's going to be good for almost two agents a game. How do we see the three out of four and that was Finding different players every night instead of just having that rock-solid, you know, left-wing or right-wing ER that I knew was going to be an NHL oo. We talked to Brian Cooper and Mike carefully these earlier this summer the play-by-play guys for for your sub rules..

It would always be nice to see and when you talk for when you ask me what my question about going to the draft is I played with todd owner who was also a high pick in the NHL in the Ottawa sixty seven's just had this year. with Jack Quinn and Marco. Rossi and you know if you can put two elite players on a team on the same line that are a joke couch or wanted to center months winger I think. Then you'll start to see how good these players are and how they dominate games and and you know for for Winston at at times is coach I was trying to find guys that were going play with them. So some might see that different linemates It was like, how do we keep Quinton going? We know he's going to be good for almost two points a game how the three hundred four, and now is finding different players every night instead of just having that rock-solid. Left wing or right winger that I knew was going to be at any also we talked to. Brian Cooper and Mike carefully these earlier this summer the play by play guys for for your sub rules..

"18 years of age kids are learning a lot about the game and a lot about growing up from being away from home having to play all the time playing in front of fans, you know, whether it's mm not our ten thousand fans. Take what you've learned and pass it on and I think that's the way our game continues to grow. You've got one son who currently plays for you and Sudbury Chase and another Riley who was already been drafted in 2016. If I'm not mistaken as played about half a season in the NHL. So I mean it seems to me that you're probably perfectly situated to be the coach of someone life in Byfield. As I said having been a first, you know, first round pick and having won the Stanley Cup and now having children about his age going through very similar things. So, I mean what else how I don't know how to ask them, you know, obviously Byfield was taking second row so he's great. But I mean, what do you see in him? As a person that makes you optimistic about his career potential? Well, I think living through the experience of living through today's game is a big thing. Right Riley is 22 years of age Chase 2017. So yeah, you meet me in the middle. I've been around the Junior game right now for a long time. I have with the development role watching you can come in you have hands-on experience of what kids are going through going through their their rookie or their draft year for for some is, you know, even drafted it's still a long way to the NHL you get sent back to play Junior now for me to coach you through the next couple of years. So when you read to become a pro, you can make the weather's to the AHL or right into the wage, you know, as a as a father as a coach. Yes, you would like, you know, everybody on your team all your kids to get drafted to go play in the NHL to me. It's it's the bed. Keep going. It's how do we get there? And how are we have you prepared? So when when when you're a pro when it's you know, it's kind of a job. You're working at it. You're ready to go right from day. One month. Obviously Quinton is six foot four. I think you said six foot four and three-quarters. I'm recently trying to push that up to six foot five. But I mean he's known for being fast for his size. But I mean realistically is is he not just fast for any size. He's he's going to be faster any size and when you get a kid, who who's who's that big sometimes say their leg strength can't handle their thoughts their the way to their body their coordination isn't there and they get faster Quinton can skate and and that was one of the biggest things for him is how quick he can get on Tupac's how quickly he can recover from a mistake at at six. Yes, six five probably two hundred sixteen years of age urine in a man's body right now. That's only still going to get strong bigger and stronger keyless surprise people. You don't think guys that they can skate as well as he does and and Junior levels when you're young, you know, some kids are a hundred and fifty pounds so it could be 200 but not carrying it. He separates himself from everybody very quickly. There's a lot of talk about the game-changing two more speed off. Skill-based but some of the pushback that I've heard from from various, you know corners of the industry is that maybe maybe the game needs to slow a little bit down just because some guys move faster than they can think or sometimes move faster than their linemates can process the game can Quinton think the game as fast as he can physically execute it..

"That's manscaped.com and use the code Kingsman you brought this up on All the King's Men live a few weeks ago. But personally, I view the draft as the end of one season and the Opening a free agency as the start of a new one. So this is the season premiere of another season of All the King's Men. We still have no idea when the new NHL season will start. But today we've got head coach of the Chicago Wolves Cory Stillman and talk about Quinton Byfield. Who as you all know the king selected with the second overall pick in the 2020 NHL entry draft. Joining me now former nhler and head of head coach of the Sudbury Wolves Cory Stillman. How are you doing today, Corey? Very well. Thank you. So Quinton Byfield is drafted second overall by the LA Kings. You yourself were six overall pick in the 1992 entry draft. So I mean, you've got some personal experience being a high highly rated High taken draft pick. Obviously. The league was a bit smaller. The internet was a bit smaller, but how much pressure is on a player in that position being taken in the top ten of an NHL entry draft? Well, I think in today's game there's a little more pressure than back then just based on social media and what you can find on the internet when when I was going through at that time. Yes, highly rated wage, but I don't think ratings came out until the hockey news was published and you had to put your hands on it. And and today we have people watching games all over the world and finding out what players are dead. They play like what they're what they're looking at and you know for young kids going through the game today. I think you've gotta be on your best every night and for the pressure we do grow with Quentin was a great player all the way through minor hockey everybody knew from probably Beyond he was going to be number one or two in the OHL then once we got here, I think after the birth of his first year there was always the LaFreniere Byfield, you know question who's going to go number one, so he's been playing with pressure his whole career. How much does a how how a plane Handles that pressure get factored into how he's rated by Scouts, you know, if a guy sort of can't handle it. Well that dramatically hurt his standing. I think of a player can't handle it. Yes, he will he will drop in in ratings and and that comes to the base of the consistency of game end game out and there's going to be a price on top players every night. So you have to be at your best and if you're having weekends where you're.
What to watch for when the Seahawks play the Miami Dolphins
"For a Sunday football game against the one in two Dolphins. The Hawks are less than healthy team ruled out with injuries are defensive backs Jamal Adams and Quinton Dunbar, linebacker Jordan Brooks and coach Pete Carroll says. Those guys might rest until after the bye week, But there's an opportunity. You know if if a guy you know if it's just barely at the end of the week, he's just making it back that taking that extra week could be worthwhile, So we'll just have to gauge that as we go. Tomorrow afternoon in

"Let's read a quote real quick from Cory Stillman coach of the Sudbury Wolves. He says, quote Quinton has a complete game. He can play in all situations. He's big. He's strong. He skates extremely well for a big guy. He makes plays he makes people around him better when he wants to, he can go win a game by himself. He hounds poxy creates turnovers by himself through his skating and how strong is now I'm going to focus in on four little words from that quote when he wants to. now I'll start with you Mike. We he's dealt with We know he's dealt with injury with the. Being into the spotlight. I'm a firm believer in. We'll beat skill is that when he wants to included in that quote because maybe he needs to get to a point where he wants to every night or is that just you know? Is that just a toss away modifier? Pasta Way modifier I don't think you know I think he's he's GonNa get to that point. Ari Scratch excuse. Me Already is at that point and he's GonNa get even better than that. How many big goals did he score this year for the sub rules I mean. For to take the lead to tie the game, he was always out there in big situations, I think stillman. He said was he nailed it right? I mean he played every situation that he played the power play played Penalty kill you played you know five on five he was dynamic. Let's. Just talk about when he wanted to you know I I don't think he meant anything by that. That's for sure course. I think that's you know I feel that he. He played one hundred percent every time you got on the ice. and. Everybody will actually tonight his wealth, right? Almost, the same thing. So but he's dynamic man. "With him using it I mean his rookie year he kind of didn't really use his physicality that much his rookie year but this year. He used it in the beginning of the year a little bit, and then he just got more physical or physical or physical, and like I said earlier, I seen him just wall up a guy into I can't remember the Windsor Player into the Windsor Bench and my job dropped. It actually didn't say a word for about two minutes because I was worried about the Windsor player if he was. Okay. Bottom on. Dirty hit at. All right but. He just got better veteran. With his physicality well, I was GONNA say to with that the game somebody gives us up separate. I know the fans would typically just erupt because when he see a player like that, you don't often think of of that particular player throwing those big thunderous hits and I feel like it was you know it was almost like quitting like the surprise fans of what's that? Much. True. That an opportunity to. You know just throw his body around in a completely legal way not dirty or anything. Knowing how to Get some more momentum on his team's favor but I will say his in regards to his physicality his board plays is is a huge part of his game because I'm just visualizing now quinton cycle out of the puck and he utilizes the hordes, utilizes his body. So well, shield the from defenders. He's able to kind of propel himself away from the boards away from other players. And it just becomes like a magnet for other players where they just kind of look at them and say, you can tell what's going through their mind like what are you going to do right now I have no idea and he just has that ability. Absolutely. I. Just a little just little piggyback. Again, what you're saying you look at it this way by feeling into this draft. I mean with guys like Tim stood soul that are probably going to go top three as well. Who Will Top three? That's what makes by feel better than studio to me the way I feel in this draft because of his size, the way he's physical on the Parkway's able to shield the puck and protected, and that's one of scoot stools. downfalls they're saying is his physicality and by field has that so and a lot more than a lot of the players in. The top ten as well. So I mean Yeah. He's going to be a high pick that's for sure and that's what separates him is is size and his physicality. It always strikes me as an odd criticism. I mean kings fans are very familiar with large Centerman obviously Andrzej Kobe Dr six four. Jeff Carter. I think either six, foot three or six foot four now Gabriel Velocity Also six foot four. But when the kings were contending for the Stanley Cup, right the the the book on them was other big tough heavy team they wear you down but it's not like onto Copa Tar was throwing out body checks left and right? It's not like Jeff Carter. was punishing people in the corners they were just they were just big and they left it to guys like Muhsin, Mitchell and Scuderi. King and Nolan to. To Dole out hints like that So it sounds like by field would fit in. Perfectly. Let's talk about his hockey sense because that's the area that I see getting the most criticism and. It makes me frankly a little uncomfortable just because of without dwelling on a too much the racial element. The notion of Shukla as the intellectual skilled player in by field is the physical Marvel not saying that this is why these evaluations handed out, but it does just sort of fit a historical trend that makes me a little bit uncomfortable but Brian, will start with you hockey sense. I mean if it feels like people are just trying to find reasons not to anoint this kid as perfect I agree lawyer. Oh. Yeah. Definitely, and like I said, you know it's like with any any young player. There's always there's always gonna be something that you're like you know what that's. Obviously needs to improve on his game a little bit and I think I alluded to ten of briefly earlier in our conversation that there were times especially. be early last season or even the year before where economy psalm and he said like this kid is amazing but you can tell is age kind of Sean through a little bit. There was a play that maybe you know you could tell he just gonNa held onto the puck a little bit longer than he probably should have. But I would say is hockey senses real good. I mean I know we're talking about his shots. A. Few minutes. I know a shot and he's been compared to the likes of even. Ovechkin a Ross Mathews. But his hockey sense. Is really good and and I honestly even this past year even with time of injury I saw an incredible improvement in Quinton and I know the time I was really curious going back in the world juniors when you know there's a whole lot of criticism on him because you know he had I think it was the last game or so you had one shift or something and he was fourth liner There was so much criticism and I was like, how is he going to react or houses going to affect his game going back to Sudbury, and and honestly his hockey since I honestly saw a constant improvement even though there was that whole situation That was my own personal take. anyways is hockey senses is is is really good and again, I just I really did see an bourbon. Talked about the World Juniors I mean look at it. This way to even like you like you said, he was playing on the fourth line, but he didn't really play that much in the world juniors right. Because you know he played for Dell Hunter and Del Hundred hecuba coach. Of course, you know his everybody knows his resume with the London Knights. Probably Always a winner. Whatnot but he didn't play that much but. You look at it. This way the projected number one, pick this year Alexis La Frontiere. Didn't play that much either for the world you're in the world junior team Canada when he was seventeen right? And then he came back and he just. Ripped it up pretty much in the cute and that's pretty much what Quinta dead. You know like you know he took that as a experience. He was happy to win the gold medal to be a part of it. And you know like I he didn't play them much. He could play more but he did it That's still hunters decision. Obviously but you know he came back and he was just the same guy didn't take him long to get back to where he was. That's for sure..

"Versed around the NHL entry draft isn't until October. But there's already been a ton of debate about who kings should select with the second overall pick. I'm not going to try and settle that debate. But to bring some much needed perspective to it, I am going to seek out people that actually wants these kids night in and night out and see what they have to say about. So with that in mind, we begin with Quinton by field. Joining me now play by play announcers. We have two of them from the Sudbury Wolves, Brian. Cooper. How are you doing today, Brian? Not. Bad. How are you? I'm excellent. Thanks and Mike carefully these. How're you doing today Mike doing great. Thanks Jesse Krasny. So the reason, I wanNA talk to you guys is look as great as as guys like Scott Wheeler, Corey Prin Sorry. Chris. Peters. Is it Scott Wheeler anyways too many too many of these guys now who who scout prospects living, but as great is all these guys are it is still my belief that you need to talk to somebody who sees these players night in night out game by game to really get a sense of what to expect It's very easy to sort of pull up some youtube videos, watch them highlights or or drop into. Into see one or two games a season, but to get a real sense of the players you need to get somebody who covers the team frequently. Now, Brian you cover mostly home games for suburb, is that correct? That's right. I do. But I do a little bit of traveling actually used to travel with the wolves on a full-time basis for two seasons and then my wife and I we had built. And On a Also. I do home games in a little bit. Rogaine, and Mike. This is your second season covering Sabrina on the road, correct. Yeah. This is my second season. Correct. So Brian will start with you. Just, a real simple question, how good is Quinton by field? While I. At this from a complete set whenever I call a game I, always try to have a very neutral grounded broadcast. I like to call it like I see it and that's you know obviously out by technically worked for the Sudbury Wolves. But if the wolves are not having a great night I will call it like I see it and the same goes for individual players as well and watching Quinton by field for the last couple. Seasons has been an absolute treat There are. I've only I. Mean I. Think I've been doing play by play for mice fifth or sixth. The can't even remember how many years I've been doing it for. But there are certain players who have this very distinct ability to control. The game and it is quite fascinating to watch I remember I'm not going to necessarily compare him to convict David but I had a chance to see Connor mcdavid play when he played for the year yachters. A few years back now, and I was just kind of example of seeing a player have the ability to control a game, and we had a goaltender by the name of Kopech Lucan as well. who had the ability to do this and by field. He has this very distinct ability as what? Mike maybe you'll agree with me but. I would say. Control the the level of play on the ice uses his strength, his speed, and just is hockey sense to really have a massive impact on the ice, and it is absolutely fascinating to witness. Especially when you're doing play-by-play now it's unbelievable at Jimmy. We've been spoiled spoiled probably the last couple of years. Watching this guy play, I need six, four, two, hundred, fourteen pounds right for seventeen year. Old Seventeen year. Old Kid, it's like a man in a child's body, right? I. Mean You look at it. This way in his first year, what he has hit sixty one points to sixty four games. Right? He was rookie of the year two, thousand, eighteen, two, thousand, nineteen season, right he came in, you know I'll say it this way he came into the League. Just pretty much an offensive machine coming out of minor minor made minor midget right, and then he he learned the two way game and. With his two gaming, learn to three, and of course, Still Stop Cory Stillman. Thorough mocks in his Stortini, and he really upped his game to the next level. I. Mean, you just got bigger and stronger. I mean this season. What have I mean, eighty, two points in forty five games right. And he was even injured for a little bit with a wrist injury. So I mean Brian you'll agree with me here probably I mean if. If he was. Not Injured. I. Think he might have been up there in maybe one or two in. Leading points for the GEL. Definitely, he was He was on face to do so and and like I said, I mean, obviously, his teammates were helpful in that as well. But when you look at his stats to I mean even. The stats thirty, two goals. Fifty assists he was doing both some players it's Majority what they do is just assists kind of sending up other players and Quinton. He sends this ability to kind of do it all he literally can do it all and the thing that gets me still so young, he's so young, and so it's really exciting to see men what is capable of in the next in the next year. Next two years Mike, you mentioned the injury I'm looking at his numbers. Numbers in forty five games. he scores eighty two points good for fourteenth overall in the. League. But I believe fifth overall in points per game at one point, eight, two, now, Marco Rossi you know is by far the leader at two point, one, four, three points per game. How important is it to look at that per game number when considering a player's impact in the H. L., Bob? I, mean. You, look at it. This way with the one point eight to your state, the points per game Mark Rossi I mean another dynamic player. WHO's probably GONNA go top ten anti-china draft as well. Right Quinta by you're younger than these guys. You GotTa, look at it. This way going into this draft class Most of these guys are pretty sure all of them. Except for maybe I think three, I believe. Me I believe seventeen going into this for maybe eighteen anyway. So I look at it this way, he's a year younger than everyone else. He's your younger than the friend yet. Right? And one point eight, two points per game. The Guy was just dynamic on the ice I mean, he could see he sees the whole. The whole rink, right I mean, and you can't underestimate is speed just dynamic glare with the speed as wall, lot of a lot of teams. Under US under estimated speed and stuff like that. But I'll tell ya es quick really really quick glare and his toughness was getting better as well. Like a lot of a lot of people are saying now a lot of sculpture saying, well, you know it's toughness is in there. I've seen him Brian can probably with me on this one, I've seen him lay out some guys. I saw this one hidden windsor where he laid out a guy into the bench and it was Mano a Mano. Looked at each other and who's just like, Boo, the on five on five, right. So you cannot under estimate this guy's toughness in a, you know what? He's just going to get better any like I said, he just a man and a child's body so i. I, look at it that way. Let's talk about my favorite stat that I dug up. Looking over scouting reports in the one month period that by field went to the world. Juniors. Sudbury. Without him was outscored thirty two to nineteen. The rest of the season. It outscored opponents two, hundred, forty, two, two, hundred, eight, I mean, obviously, he's GonNa. BE A high draft pick in this year's draft. So I, mean, this is sort of an obvious question, but he is the team MVP correct. Ryan. I would say there's not a whole lot argument against that. That's for sure. I D is definitely as I. mentioned at the beginning impact player and you know Mike. Ronaldo. Good point what it's confidence and how a lot of goat's said, you know he's not. He doesn't quite have his toughness up to par yet and I I still think there can be some improvement on that spirit s fear as well. But man the when you factor in his size again, his hockey sense is just it's It's unreal that his age and I definitely definitely a valuable.

"Versed around the NHL, entry draft isn't until October, but there's already been a ton of debate about who kings should select with the second overall pick. I'm not going to try and settle that debate but to bring some much needed perspective to it, I am going to seek out people that actually wants these kids night in and night out and see what they have to say about. So with that in mind we begin with Quinton by field. Joining me now play by play announcers. We have two of them from the Sudbury Wolves Brian Cooper how are you doing today? Brian Not Bad. How are you? I'm excellent thanks and Mike carefully these how're you doing today Mike doing great thanks Jesse Krasny. So the reason I wanNA talk to you guys is look as great as as guys like Scott Wheeler Corey Prin Sorry Chris Peters. Is it Scott Wheeler anyways too many too many of these guys now who who scout prospects living, but as great is all these guys are it is still my belief that you need to talk to somebody who sees these players night in night out game by game to really get a sense of what to expect It's very easy to sort of pull up some youtube videos watch them highlights or or drop. Into see one or two games a season but to get a real sense of the players you need to get somebody who covers the team frequently. Now Brian you cover mostly home games for suburb is that correct? That's right. I do. But I do a little bit of traveling actually used to travel with the wolves on a full-time basis for two seasons and then my wife and I we had built. And Showing A. So I do home games in a little bit row. And Mike this is your second season covering Sabrina on the road, correct yeah. This is my second season. Correct. So Brian, will start with you. Just. A real simple question how good is Quinton by field? While This from a complete set whenever I call a game, I always try to have a very neutral grounded broadcast. I like to call it like I. See it and that's you know obviously out by technically worked for the Sudbury Wolves. But if the wolves are not having a great night, I will call it like I see it and the same goes for individual players as well and watching Quinton by field for the last couple. Seasons has been an absolute treat there are. I've only I mean I think I've been doing play by play for mice fifth or sixth the can't even remember how many years I've been doing it for. But there are certain players who have this very distinct ability to control. The game and it is quite fascinating to watch I. Remember I'm not going to necessarily compare him to convict. David but I had a chance to see Connor mcdavid play when he played for the year yachters. A few years back now and I was just kind of example of seeing a player have the ability to control a game and we had a goaltender by the name of Kopech Lucan as well who had the ability to do this and by field? He has this very distinct ability as. Mike. Maybe you'll agree with me but. I would say. Control, the the level of play on the ice uses his strength, his speed, and just is hockey sense to really have a massive impact on the ice and it is absolutely fascinating to witness. Especially when you're doing play-by-play now it's unbelievable at Jimmy. We've been spoiled spoiled probably the last couple of years. Watching this guy play I need six, four, two, hundred, fourteen pounds right for seventeen year old seventeen year old kid it's like a man in a child's body, right? I mean, you look at it this way in his first year what he has hit sixty one points to sixty four games. Right He was rookie of the year two, thousand, eighteen, two, thousand, nineteen season right he came in you know I'll say it this way came into the league just pretty much an offensive machine coming out of minor minor made minor midget right and then he he learned the two way game and With his two gaming, learn to three and of course, Still Stop Cory. Stillman. Thorough mocks in his Stortini and he really upped his game to the next level I. Mean you just got bigger and stronger. I mean this season what you have I mean eighty two points in forty five games right and he was even injured for a little bit with a wrist injury. So I mean Brian you'll agree with me here probably I mean if If he was. Not Injured I think he might have been up there in maybe one or two in. Leading points for the L. Go. Yeah definitely. He was He was on face to do so and and like I said I mean, obviously his teammates were helpful in that as well. But when you look at his stats to I mean even The stats thirty, two goals fifty assists he was doing both some players it's Majority. What they do is just assists kind of sending up other players and Quinton. He sends this ability to kind of do it all he literally can do it all and the thing that gets me still so young, he's so young, and so it's really exciting to see men what is capable of in the next in the next year next two years Mike, you mentioned the injury I'm looking at his. Numbers in forty five games he scores eighty two points good for fourteenth overall in the League but I believe fifth overall in points per game at one point eight, two now Marco Rossi you know is by far the leader at two point one, four, three points per game. How important is it to look at that per game number when considering a player's impact in the H. L. Bob I mean. You. Look at it. This way with the one point eight to your state the points per game Mark Rossi I mean another dynamic player who's probably GONNA go top ten anti-china draft as well. Right Quinta by you're younger than these guys. You gotTa look at it. This way going into this draft class Most of these guys are pretty sure all of them. Except for maybe I think three I believe. Me I believe seventeen going into this or maybe eighteen. Anyway. So I look at it this way he's a year younger than everyone else. He's your younger than the friend yet right and one point eight, two points per game. The Guy was just dynamic on the ice I mean he could see he sees the whole. The whole rink right I mean and you can't underestimate is speed just dynamic glare. With. The speed as wall lot of a lot of teams. Under US under estimated speed and stuff like that. But I'll tell ya es quick really really quick glare and his toughness was getting better as well. Like a lot of a lot of people are saying now a lot of sculpture saying, well, you know his toughness is in there. I've seen him, Brian can probably with me on this one I've seen him lay out some guys. I saw this one hidden windsor where he laid out a guy into the bench and it was Mano a Mano. Looked at each other and who's just like, boo the on five on five right. So you cannot under estimate this guy's toughness in a you know what? He's just going to get better any like I said he just a man and a child's body. So I. I look at it that way let's talk about my favorite stat that I dug up. Looking over scouting reports in the one month period that by field went to the World Juniors Sudbury without him was outscored thirty two to nineteen. The rest of the season scored opponents two, hundred, forty, two, two, hundred, eight. I, mean obviously he's GonNa. BE A high draft pick in this year's draft. So I mean this is sort of an obvious question, but he is the team MVP. Correct. Ryan. I would say there's not a whole lot argument against that. That's for sure. I. D is definitely as I mentioned at the beginning impact player and You know Mike Ronaldo good point what it's confidence and how a lot of goat's said you know he's not he doesn't quite have his toughness up to par yet and I I still think there can be some improvement on that spirit s fear as well. "And then people just like hated Hillary and went to vote for the non Hillary candidate. And you saw that in Kentucky and West Virginia of some states were white voters who then have not at all tha that Sanders in his mind because he won this big coalition before most of that coalition must be ready to turn out again. So it's kind of academic whether he's. Changing the debate or not. And even when when I put you on this last name was I think three weeks ago, and you said to him you would be running in a race not against the candidate of Quinton them. And the establishment, but against several people who co-sponsored all your legislation and the sense. I got him was that he is so much for for reaching inconsistent on left wing ideas that he he's in this to win. But if he's not in it how much people get away counterfeiting his ideas who don't plan to implement them. I think that was a real world for him certainly a lot of his supporters. And that's why if you turn on Twitter, and I don't know why you do that. Because horrible if you turn on. The most anger from Sanders. Odors is often directly hit Kamala Harris or delivered or somebody. They see like a phone trying to get on his ideas. There's a lot of faith that they would debate them honestly between themselves. I think from the Sanders camp. So he definitely agrees with that. That's interesting though, because it almost seems as though it's like looking for the same rationale, right? That that okay. In two thousand sixteen. There was a an opening because there was a hunger for more left wing policies. And there was a frustration with who the party was heading to nominate without much of a debate. Now, you have a much bigger field. And a lot of the people in that field. They're espousing Medicare for all with Warren just put out a big proposal about child care. The the debate has shifted in part. I think because of Elizabeth Warren in part because of Bernie Sanders in part because of Trump and yet it seems like when when you say, oh, but they're not really for. These policies that you're actually going back to that rationale of he needs to be here to keep them honest. And yet, they I don't believe those other campaigns would agree with that. Right. They would say, no, we're four this. This is this is what this is where the Democratic Party. Now is do you see do see struggle for rationale in that? I don't I don't actually think it's a struggle because you can honestly go back and see very Sandra saying he wants to candidates style healthcare system as long as the nineteen eighties. And he'd probably said it even before that video taking a record his opinion. And it is true that when other Democrats described this Medicare for all Democrats Medicare for all even if they say, they're all in even if they cosponsored legislation they described something more incremental. And as a Senator Sanders have said, he he is fine for indoor came the concept agreeing that that's Renita end up day. You know, you co-sponsor my think we can't do it for ten years. Okay. My villain agree that lead. Phase it enter to in two or four years even better. But he lifted the field and didn't see anyone who actually agreed with him hundred percent on the policy on the implementation. Other Democrats I keep going back to Harris, not just a pumper up. Just. That she's the person who had the most recent interaction with is. You know, she when asked what you do with the private insurance industry kind of leading question, but a fair question, whether this would eliminate that industry, and she kind of sounded like you said, yes, then she walked back where Sanders would give a competent answer on something like that he really thinks the industry drink down. So just little supplemental insurance Altis, and there should not be at all these big pharma companies certain not just pharma healthcare companies striding the earth in determining what you get even Warren who supports Medicare for all when she when she pushed on what she would get done incremental..

"Not forty minutes, but thirty two minutes or thirty minutes. And then there's a stretch that usually happens about ten minutes. Five six seven minutes left in the game where they just kinda fall apart. Quit. Good races at across the time. I'm fifty one seconds to play. He's fouled. By kane. His Quinton tried to drive around him on the right wing and turned the corner. Cain bumped with his chest. That'll send quick good into the line. An opportunity for a couple of points. With a one one opportunity. Under a minute ago this building which was at capacity is about a quarter full right now. Freeze it on the way from Quinton Gooden is good at breaks set scoring drought scoring drought at four thirty eight. But I'm not sure that was updated. That's a sixteen one run over the last three three minutes and fifteen seconds. You talk about going opposite directions over the last three minutes and fifteen seconds. Huge. Second free throws good back to a ten point lead for the Paul sixty nine fifty nine. Muskateers with full court pressure. Forty nine seconds to play in this ball game. Musketeers not fouling. Now, they will Jones fouls. Luge ABI who was taken into the hoop? Kind of surprise loser. Be would drive into the bucket at twenty six on the shot clock. Forty five on the game clock. Didn't look like Xavier who's gonna commit a foul. But once a loser be committed to go the bucket Jones says pumped him out of the way that'll send a loser be seventy five percent free. Throw shooter back to the line. Fourteen points of the night for Luger be sixty nine. From the field for one from three point range to a five from the free throw line. At the line to shoot two now that he makes the first on a one on one opportunity that was a ninth foul the musketeers jaeger's been out of timeouts since two twenty two Mark in this ball game in the just the fact that coast fellow was necessary to call that timeout shows you how. Difficult to musketeers. Made it on the offensive end. They were trying to get something going. The free throw is missed the rebound has taken by match. Screw drives under the bucket goes for dunk shot. But I believe he was found out on the perimeter before he drove the baseline, and he'll be at the line to shoot through the hours on is you Marshall and Marshall's just out of the ball game. I believe in jail. That's kind of insult to injury. You miss a free. Throw you have four guys in the lane rebound, and you give up an offensive rebound off of a missed free. Throw. That was really a huge part of the game. From the very beginning of the fact that musketeers couldn't control. The Paul keep mafia offensive glass. I free throws on the way for Strouss pay up his total. Now, it's up to almost his average average seventeen coming to the ballgame. He had two or three ahead two and a half time. Now, his sixteen for the ballgame just one under his Aermacchi shooting for that right now as he's made the first fires up the second. And it is good. And it's a seventy two.
