"So <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Music> <Speech_Male> <Silence> <SpeakerChange> <hes> <Speech_Music_Male> showed you that like <Speech_Music_Male> football's <Speech_Music_Male> not the most important <Speech_Telephony_Male> thing going on in the world <Speech_Telephony_Male> right now. There's other <Music> other really important <Speech_Male> thing that we need to be <Silence> pushing forward <Music> <Speech_Music_Male> But i think <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Telephony_Male> some of <Silence> the <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> honestly. <Speech_Telephony_Male> There's some of the racism <Silence> that creep into <Music> that. Also <Speech_Telephony_Male> chris the way <Speech_Music_Male> that people view <Speech_Music_Male> black quarterbacks <Speech_Music_Male> right in <Speech_Telephony_Male> i'm saying it because they look <Speech_Telephony_Male> at him in a biased way <Music> <hes> <Speech_Telephony_Male> from origin. <SpeakerChange> They're not <Speech_Telephony_Male> like. I don't want to have <Speech_Music_Male> this guy's my quarterback which <Speech_Music_Male> is a black quarterback <Speech_Male> but oftentimes <Silence> people don't <Speech_Male> have <Speech_Music_Male> the familiarity <Speech_Music_Male> with the things <Speech_Telephony_Male> that they're used to <Speech_Music_Male> that they do <Speech_Telephony_Male> to understand who they <Speech_Music_Male> are and look at <Speech_Male> them <SpeakerChange> an unbiased <Speech_Telephony_Male> platform. <Speech_Music_Male> So it's <Speech_Telephony_Male> it's really full circle <Speech_Music_Male> with was where <Speech_Telephony_Male> i came from <SpeakerChange> and what i'm <Silence> doing right now. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You know to hear you say <Speech_Male> that. I'm not amac. <Speech_Male> I'm <Speech_Male> surprised i'm not but <Speech_Male> we're not. I started <Speech_Male> covering <Speech_Male> college. Football <Speech_Male> forty years ago <Speech_Male> <Silence> black quarterbacks. <Speech_Male> You know <Speech_Male> we're <Speech_Male> dealing with it. Then <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> then we acted like it <Speech_Male> all went away but <Speech_Male> it hasn't. <Silence> Has it <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> gone away. Like <Speech_Telephony_Male> i wouldn't even <Speech_Telephony_Male> dare say this on <Silence> the way it's gotten better <Music> but <Speech_Telephony_Male> it's also got in <Speech_Music_Male> a <Speech_Telephony_Male> little more hidden right like <Speech_Telephony_Male> the the way that we do <Speech_Telephony_Male> things a <Speech_Music_Male> little differently <Speech_Male> You're you're <Speech_Telephony_Male> not going to see <Speech_Male> justin <Speech_Telephony_Male> shoot up address <Speech_Music_Male> or because he's <Speech_Telephony_Male> really intelligent <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> when you take him <Speech_Music_Male> through <Speech_Music_Male> all <SpeakerChange> like the <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> academic stuff <Speech_Telephony_Male> that we do in the nfl <Speech_Telephony_Male> testing and he scores <Speech_Male> off the charts. <Speech_Music_Male> But they're not going to say. <Speech_Music_Male> Wow or maybe <Speech_Telephony_Male> he's not in the locker <Speech_Music_Male> much because he gets <Speech_Music_Male> it so quick like he doesn't <Silence> get those benefits <Speech_Music_Male> And <Speech_Music_Male> i it really is <Music> across the board <Music> at the quarterback position <Speech_Male> <Silence> machine. <Silence> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> He's still projected. <Speech_Male> We have about a minute <Speech_Male> left. We have mel <Speech_Male> kiper on in a minute. <Speech_Male> He's still projected <Speech_Male> in the top ten <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> somebody <Speech_Male> that knows him <Speech_Male> are. Are <Speech_Male> you concerned that he ends <Speech_Male> up in the <Speech_Male> right place <Speech_Male> forgetting <SpeakerChange> what <Silence> number it is. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> Yeah i think <Speech_Telephony_Male> that's more my concern <Speech_Telephony_Male> like i've seen guys <Speech_Telephony_Male> go really early in their <Speech_Male> situations. Not <Silence> great. I'm more <Speech_Male> hopeful <Speech_Telephony_Male> that he goes <SpeakerChange> somewhere. <Speech_Music_Male> That has the right <Speech_Telephony_Male> people around in this <Speech_Telephony_Male> given the opportunity <Speech_Male> successful because <Speech_Male> if he <Speech_Telephony_Male> gets in a situation <Speech_Telephony_Male> where where he <Speech_Telephony_Male> has the ability <Speech_Music_Male> to do these <Silence> capable of <Speech_Music_Male> justice is going to <Speech_Telephony_Male> be a special <Speech_Male> sofer baby <SpeakerChange> <Silence> longtime <Speech_Male> quincy <Speech_Male> avery. Such <Speech_Male> an important person <Speech_Male> for a lot of young <Speech_Male> people. I hope <Speech_Male> you'll come back. Thank you very <Speech_Male> much for <SpeakerChange> your time. <Silence> And all the best to you <Silence> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> me aussie. <Speech_Male> So you got grab. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> We're we're talking about <Speech_Male> the the latest projection. <Speech_Male> I think we showed <Speech_Male> it a second ago. <Speech_Male> And we'll have mel <Speech_Male> on the bottom <Speech_Male> of the hour but <Speech_Male> these are <Speech_Male> projections. <Speech_Male> I mean we are two weeks away <Speech_Male> from the draft right now. It's <Speech_Male> trevor lawrence. <Speech_Male> zack wilson. Mack <Speech_Male> jones who will be here <Silence> in an hour <Speech_Male> and kyle <Speech_Male> pits can <Speech_Male> all this change. <Speech_Male> of course it can change. <Speech_Male> We are going to <Speech_Male> take a break. More of your phone <Speech_Male> calls at eight five <Speech_Male> two four two seven <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> two eight five. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> We are back <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> right after this. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement>

That's great okay anyway. I wanna talk about georgia bulldogs. I'm a bulldog fan. And i have been since nineteen sixty two when i went to school there but anyway i haven't come to get cynical about the dogs. You might have wondered but anyway The domes are not going to have a winning see. They're going to win their their share games but then not come with the national championship this year because the state of georgia is not built for championships to the braves won in nineteen ninety five And the dogs won the nineteen eighty. I think georgia tech might have tied somebody in nineteen ninety-one but that's not very good Up percentage of winning. So my my salt. I hold on a second. I think the team won the championship couple years ago. Didn't they danny thought they did. Yeah i was there. I was like right across the street. "Punished Employment Wise. No matter may look. There's some lies. I'M GONNA turn into like they've. OJ were free agent. Would you sign right now I? Don't. Don't really want to do that segment. Not Interested in that there are certain things that seem unforgivable, and maybe some would argue and say this person should never be allowed to work again. I am more along the lines of if you're a bad guy or you just do dumb stuff all the time, or if your Josh, Gordon you get into trouble with with drug use and somebody's still wants to hire you and bring you back I. Don't know that I'm okay with these. These employment data sentences that I think some people want to have happened in the moment. Moment, so brown comes back and play football, though some of the stuff that he's gone through in the last year, or so, I'm not going to defend a lot of it, but if he wants to come back and somebody wants to go ahead and pay him to play football. I'm not going to do a podcast. Saying how upset I am about because I, just sort of accept who is and what he is is a football player is one of the best route runners. Maybe in the game, today may be the single best route runner at wide receiver. Early. See was until all of this stuff has been happening. But. Then we see a video of him working out. And he runs a post against nobody. And he catches it and people are like man. Antonio look at Ab go. Like, what did you think he was GonNa? Do fucking drop it. He's one of the best nfl receivers of all time. Look, what you think was going to happen. The other thing that happens now and AB is kind of like this weird. INSTAGRAM model, but instead of breast he posts routes and everybody gets really excited about it. But what happens with some of these other dudes in the routes which I've noticed, which no one ever eggs up is. It'll show some key to has amazing foot work, and I'm not knocking the kids footwork. I'm not knocking his break his hips, the in and out and all that stuff. But the debate has no chance. These hype videos zero. There's no safety. Help the quarterback and the receiver already know where the ball's going. For the most part. It's early predetermined. There's no defensive back other than adult beating up on kids and pop word team where you be able to stop any of these passes, but we post them all the time and go. Hey, look at that route. Look at that footwork. Look those hands man. He's just. That DB, but you know how hard it is to stand out there one on one and defend a receiver with no help, whatsoever especially receiver. This is this as some of these guys that we see posted so the next route. Thing that you see where again it probably looks pretty cool. Understand I. Don't know that anybody's GONNA break up! Those passes begin with unless a quarterbacks cruiser. Okay, we're GONNA finish this off of the life. Advice again. If you WANNA, email us life, advice questions, life advice are at g.

"Been doing the six pack. which is how we started answering questions on this podcast before we moved over to the voice mail and email format, I, put out the call for questions. Every Tuesday you guys flood me with questions I pick six that I like here. I also do a mailbox, or some of them go over there, but I pick six that I like. If I pick yours. You get a like on twitter. That means they hit that little heart button there. And you get Nancy here on the podcast question of one from, call me Mr Snider. That's atmosphere. Snyder nineteen, ninety nine. Why did it take its? Why did it take so long to fire Bruce, Allin one forty to one ninety three in one Hashtag. Dan I don't WanNa Kick Bruce L. when he's down, but I think that this part of it was pretty simple. He was brought in as sort of acilitator to the head coach. Mike Shanahan at the time who is really the defacto general manager, so Mike Shanahan was the one doing the team building Bruce was assisting in that doing contracts all that stuff, so he winds up surviving the Shan and firing. They wind up hiring Jay Gruden. They didn't have a great first year. They wind up hiring Scott McClellan to do football. Scott McClellan last couple of years does a pretty good job putting the team together than things go haywire there than Bruce Allin winds up firing Scott, McCoy now he's got more power than he ever did before. So one thing led to another lead to another all the while Dan. Snyder saw bruce. Allen is a key figure in trying to pursue a new stadium whether it was in DC Virginia Maryland and so from what I understand Snyder's desire to get a new stadium was a big part of why Bruce Allin kept surviving, and there's obviously a relationship there. Bruce Ounce family has great history with the organization, but that was a huge reason why. Question number two. This is from Matt Ramos. That's at.

"That means there's not a whole lot going on a bunch of teams. Shut down their off-season programs. I'm at the end of last week. I think you'll see more of that this week. Probably some teams going into next week with their young guys, but for the most part, the virtual part of the offseason program is over a lot of. Of, coaches have sort of felt like they've gotten to the point where they've done what they can do over the computer. They're gonNA let guys go. They're gonNA let their coaches go, and we'll see where it goes from here. We don't know one coaches and players are going to report back the date for most teams July twenty eighth. The question now becomes whether or not they're going to be showing up to camp early. To accommodate a longer acclimation period, or if they show up on time again that report date for most teams July twenty eighth. With the idea that they had the acclimation period. Cancel some preseason games. To accommodate the that that period of time so that's what's ahead right now. We still have plenty for you here. We got two great guests coming in, but we're GONNA start as we always do at the takeaways and I take away for the week. I. Don't know if you guys were watching on Tuesday night, Roger Goodell this actually Monday night Roger. Goodell went on ESPN as part of This return to sports special that all the commissioners on told Mike Greenberg on Colin Kaepernick. If you want to resume his career in the NFL. Then obviously, it's going to take a team to make that decision, but I welcome that support club making that decision. Encourage them to do that if efforts are on the field. But continuing to work on the space, we welcome him to the table and to help us guide us. Help us make better decisions about the kinds of things that need to be done in the communities. We have invited him in before. We WanNA make sure that everybody's welcome at that table and trying to help us deal with some very complex difficult issues that have been around for a long time, but I hope we're at a point now, where everybody is committed to making long-term sustainable change, so my basic. Take away from this is that I think getting Colin Kaepernick on the roster is going to be a little complicated right now for a couple of different reasons. Number one I think it's part of the issue is going to be if the NFL manufacturer something. Does he see that as patronizing? Does he see a team trying to do it to make themselves look good as he see it as the team trying to put the issue to bed, and so rightfully because that trust has been broken over the last three or four years between Colin, Kaepernick, and League there there is the question of how he views and opportunity, if it does come along the next question from a football standpoint. is He willing to go somewhere? On a will see deal. DOES HE WANNA play bad enough? Where if team says we'll bring you in on the minimum, or we'll bring you in less than a million bucks, and there's no guarantee that you're going to make the team, but we will give you an opportunity, and you'll get erupts in the summer and you'll get to get your chance. Is that good enough and on the flip side? How many teams are willing to do that? Knowing they may create a problem for themselves if they have to cut calling cabinet at the end of camp, because remember. Last time con- cabinet play, there were questions that summer over whether or not, he was GonNa make the forty niners roster. They had tried to trade him earlier in the year. They benched him during the year. So the other possibility after now this would be seasons away that he may not be in position to make an NFL team as there, and so that's part of it too i. just think this is. This is not a straight line. And and look like I love to see Colin Kaepernick has left. I love to see how he's able to evolve as a player. You may remember like his explosion onto the scene happened right one. During Tibo Mania in two thousand and you know right after to Tibo Mania, two thousand eleven, two thousand twelve rg three had the huge year was rookie of the year, so while the sort of scheme stuff and the sort of the different types of college offenses were hitting the NFL. Colin Cabernet just right and was awesome for a couple of years in his career, tailed off from there, and so I'd be fascinated to see what the next chapter to that is. I think you know it would be a good message to everybody to see him. Get his opportunity I think some of this is going to come down to a finding a team. That's willing to do it that of course is first, and then be how this opportunity is presented to him and what he's willing to accept, and so there are still some things to work out there. My guess, is he probably you know? He probably gets an opportunity and again then the question would become whether or not. It's good enough. I'm interested to see how all that plays out it's GonNa be fascinating to watch especially. During a year in which for the first time it feels like quarterback supply really outweighed demand where no. You had cam. Newton you still have Cam Newton out there. Joe! FLACCO was out there without a job for quite some time and you know wound up going to a place where he knows the general manager, Joe Douglas was actually the area scout who evaluated him coming out of Delaware. In Two thousand eight in Baltimore. You know you had James Winston available for a long stretch during the off season, so we've seen this off season. It's been a different one at the quarterback position, but I'd love to see what it would look like Khan cabinet, getting on a roster and competing for a spot and the unique thing that I think is going to make it the thing that's unique about this year. I think makes it a little different as you probably won't Cry Training Camp You're not gonNA. Have crowd in the stadium, so you don't have to deal with all that and on top of it. You know I think more teams are probably looking at the idea of adding him from a non football standpoint as a positive versus where you know three or four years ago. I think a lot of teams would have looked at the idea of him. In is like Oh. We have to deal with this and this and this I think is different now and I think that's because so much has changed in our country questioned or a takeaway number two. This is come up. It's going to continue to come up. covid nineteen the situation in Dallas, the situation in Houston Zeke getting it. We've heard now. Coaches talk about quarantining quarterbacks. Bruce Arians in Tampa, brought it up Doug Peterson and phillies and other one who brought it up. To me like the whole idea of what you do. Coming out of positive cases, a fascinating one, and so I like this is this isn't going to affect on Miller Zeke Elliott or any of the guys who have it now. In fact like some of those guys might wind up being better off getting it now because you know they, they would have built up some immunity..

"I don't think he would be here. If you didn't hearings things about how both of his feet leave the ground when he throws. That is a really different thing. Obviously for quarterbacks. That doesn't happen every person every quarterback every player and I think you know certainly comparing it to baseball from you comparing it to golf kind of helps you understand. There are a lot of power drivers to go back to golf. Like Quincy was saying like Dustin Johnson. That duties have massive driver. Right I mean he just explodes off the tee so both his legs come up and it is. I've actually to embarrass myself a little bit. I've kind of tried to jump like on the range and just to see if it works and then I just end up in. It's a disaster. And you know we don't have to go down that road but I really really really interesting conversation. "Completed like seven passes. Nfl quarterback he's like a forty eight percent pasture in college like no disrespect. It takes a hill but he was no Jalen hurts at any level throwing the football definitely not right now so take. A milk can do a lot of things. I think it's really cute the saints do. I think that he's Jalen. No I think that I think it's really cool that he got this twenty million dollar contract because that shows Value People can do a lot of things and I look forward to somebody else come out of college and being like takes mill but jalen hurts is not that guy. No I think it's grand and you're right I mean if you're tasting dude you know live your life do your thing. That's awesome and that's great but not everybody has to do that. Why do you think do you think that that's just a matter of people people just? Can't you know except good things? Because there's a lot of quarterbacks people try to do that with People Thought Tibo should be tight end. Not that Tibo was the best. Nfl quarterback but obviously the Lamar Jackson stuff was out there now. Jalen is kind of that same way like do you think these are just people that that get bored one day and say you know what I think? It'd be weird this guy somewhere else. I think that it's a lack of creativity and understanding out of bess. I'm much somebody at their position That they played I think We saw that. Lamar Jackson like really really optimizing somebody allowing them to do the things that they are the best that better than anybody else in the world taking advantage of dose things and allowing them to excel because of who they are like people's spend so much time trying to think about what it is not good at trying to nitpick those things they just spent time focusing on he's great at the historic put him in the situation that allow him to do this thing. We might find a great quarterback. I think this'll be found. Marge action like they made them do things the way a lot of other people will do. You might not have been successful. But they created a system around him a lot and be successful in that what you get when you do those things correctly. That's that's well said so we. We talked about ban. We talked about Jalen You know just one thought on Deshaun Watson with Deandre Hopkins. I imagine you're not at all worried about to shine is going to be just fine. The show me fine like I wanna see how those teachers come together to Shawn's He's got a bunch of guys pros it for a long time and they're gonNA understand how to do things at the right debt Doing on the right timing and allow them to be really successful. He's not GonNa have that. Safety blanket of things broke down. Let me just get too hot. But it's going to allow him to grow the quarterback in terms of precision understanding how to do things From the neck up do those things right all the time. I think he's going to flourish. I think people are gonNA look into Sean watching a new light after this football season. That's that's exciting. I mean it's GonNa be exciting to watch all these players have success and I think every cowboys fan wants to see. Jalen hurts have as much success as he possibly can. Without Eagles the eagles team getting winds out of it. I think that's a fair trade off but Last thing for you quincy You again we talked about two years ago. You called your shot you know you said Bendon Uchi. He's going to go in the two thousand twenty draft and you were right so that was two years ago so give us something like give us a declaration about Bend Nucci right now. That will be true. Two years from today. I'll give you two years. That's a long time. So let me let me do four years. Okay and then she'll be starting quarterback. Nfl Okay Yeah. You're not throwing any drama. You're not saying the cowboys necessarily but just you know starting quarterback in the NFL. You're not saying the cowboys at all. I think that you guys have a franchise quarterback in back And I think he's great but I think that there will be starting somewhere. Or the one of the highest payed backups. Nfl So we'll heggie starting quarterback. Okay well you know what I'll for you I'll give you bonus points for the hedge if you got that Quincy Avery again on twitter at Quincy. Underscore avery on instagram. At Quincy. Every does a lot of great work every quarterback you love Quincy has likely had something to do with it anything you can give us to be excited about for the coming months. Quincy any anything you're working. I know you've been working on flight. School I mean what's what's going on. What do you got? Everybody.

"So you mention that part of Aaron LEVITATING FROM FOOTWORK PERSPECTIVE. There's been new The new chief leave the ground entirely when he goes. Yeah he yes if he's moving at all before the throat both of those people come off the ground and it looks really interesting the first time you see it and then you're like oh he's really good at this and then you leave them alone. You don't bother. What does that I mean? What does that mean to you? I guess semi because not every quarterback does that and obviously it depends if they're trying to throw off their back foot or they're on the run and they're just in the pocket but just generally I mean I feel like that's GotTa be interesting when you find somebody like that. Yeah so the way. He explained what happened is something that I was teaching him to do. And it's called resisting rotation like trying to stay on your back half as long as you can In that causing the bring both feet up and they got really successful form. And I'm like all right. I like it. Let's keep rolling with it. So why do you want him to stay on his back? Half as often as you can for as much as you can. So have you thought about in terms of sitting at baseball because I think most of America has played baseball in understanding? Got Coached fairly well. When you stride to hit the ball you don't let all your weight on your front foot or you wouldn't have no energy to hit the ball and throwing a football and hitting a baseball same thing you need to wait on your back. Kaffir as long as you can and then when your hands go the weight transfers In some people allow their leg between four. But the longer you can keep it back more energy you have in your system so we wanNA keep energy as long as you can and then some people just end up both feet come off. So how much? Weight percentage wise. Do you want on the Front Foot. I mean I. Do you want zero percent? Ideally like an absolute perfect sense. I would probably get about twenty to thirty percent this interesting. See I'm I'm a big golfer and so like again a back swing for me. I sort of. It's almost like a one hundred percent transfer. You know what I mean like I go. I almost put one hundred percent of my body weight on my right. I'm right handed and so on my back foot. And then when I like throughout the swing. The whole swing almost chancers one hundred percent. I want nobody way back foot kind of at the middle. I wanted to be this perfect equilibrium. But you're saying it's a little bit different than that. I would say just when that happens but it does end up getting a lot of energy to the front foot but if you see like the long drive golfers when they swing and they're trading downward momentum both their feet will come off the ground because I have to create enough space for the hips to get through. Same exact I did. That's a great point because a lot of offers to that idea to kind of almost like jump kind of like you're saying Nucci it's this explosion of complete power that for some people just comes out of one foot before a lot of people comes attitude saying. That's how ben throws that's exactly what it is. Has He played golf with you? Could it's been a great golfer by chance. We're not gonNA come a great Golfer. He's GonNa be in the high eighties Golfer in my book. You know okay. Well so then. What's the reason because people tend to do this? As you know with draft picks you know they obsess over the guys that are team got etc but then then they tell their friend. Do you know 'cause somebody's GONNA listen to be like man. I heard Quincy. Avery say he was the one he said. Bendon UCHI is Aaron Rodgers. That's exactly what I heard and now super hived etc. But then his friends going to go. Why did he lasted the seventh round? What's your objective answer for that? Is that the small school thing. Small school at a lot to do with it And then he's developed later like junior. It was really good. It wasn't I mean it's like game at the NC state game but then you're really picked up And I just think he was not on the radar for a lot a lot of folks and then not get an invite to senior games and those bowls that hurt him and then he just in any grew and developed a lot in his all season program in terms of developing. How much did not get the pro day which I which is paramount in terms of this that makes total sense? How much would you say in your experience doing this because you see a lot of things that a lot of people don't buy now everybody is heard about how? Benn's Eighth Grade Basketball Coach was. Mike McCarthy's brother. Obviously he's got the Pittsburgh Connection Mike McCarthy being from the area and how. He introduced himself to McCarthy at the F. C. Championship. How much would you say this? Hope not the whole process but but some of these things for small school guys are in a year like this. It's very unique. That connections like that really go almost a whole way that if not. I don't want to take anything away. From what Ben has done to this point in his life and his career. But how much would you say that that sometimes relationships like that kind of ten the really help guys getting drafted or guys getting noticed by certain coaches or certain scouts? It's one hundred percent data just a mix of like all those Moments coming together. And it's I had a long conversation with the quarterback coach for the Dallas cowboys at the at the combine. Just about better NUCCI He's like you haven't heard of them. I'm GonNa Watch some tape So bad so that also gotta bugging year then then put together some clips on twitter and come to find out. The quarterback coach saw those as well. So there's all these different moments in little things relationships. He knew this guy. They knew this. They came together and it was the perfect storm. And I think that's Kinda. I ended up with the catalyst. So do you feel like kind of you? Try to help out Ben on your instagram. You said I can help you get verified here on instagram. Now that you've got drafted it was funny joke Do you town like hey dude that conversation. I had you know now you you get the Water Burger on the regular like you're welcome. Yeah I texted him probably five minutes after he got drafted and he's like tearing up and I'm like Oh happy for it. I'm like yeah but if I didn't talk to coach you probably wouldn't have been there so I'm a little bit so in that conversation and I know you you know you certainly going to keep that conversation close to the vest but can you. Can you Kinda give us the cell? 'cause I know you sell your guys. Because that's I mean and you wouldn't saw guys if you didn't believe in them but can you kind of give us to sell that you gave. Then you know if to rewind all of a sudden. We're the coaching staff. You're talking to at the combine. Why should why should bend in Xian Raider? He had much arm talented. Anybody in the draft for the exception of Jordan like I would say Jordan loves ability to throw the ball a little bit of the news but other than that he can throw the ball. Anybody else in this draft He has the ability to move and extend plays with his legs and he's developed so much in a short period of time like he's ceiling is high anybody else coming in like he's GonNa turn into a starter at a NFL club And if it's not on your team you'll be able to trade him for a lot of value because it'll be your backup really quick all right sold. I've got water burger in my state. I'll make that happen. It's interesting that you mentioned join love might be just a small cut. Above you know given that you compared ben to Aaron Rodgers. And so that's that's a really funny coincident but Okay so you also work with Jalen hurts And a lot of cowboys fans had a nisus. Nothing against Jalen. But I'm sure you're on Trinity. See this lot of cowboys. Fans had a lot of fun with the eagles drafting him because of the Carson wentz factor and everything. I mean everybody who loves college. Football us in Jalen hurts. You know in your experience with them what what is there to his game really liked the. Nfl Jalen has done any as well as anybody has done it at the college level for a lot of years like damn he literally dominating The college season this year in Oklahoma. Like you can't take that away. Seen somebody do that and the biggest moments the type of leader that he is the upside that has the ability to do so much with his legs on that allow him to be really successful and Carson Wentz is GonNa see to it. That jalen hurts. Start some games this year because every year and you find yourself hurt Jalen opportunity. I think that he's GonNa allow them to win two to three games because he's in a backup quarterback but there's nobody else who can go. You can be drafted in the second round. Who could actually go win? You two three games in their first year. So you think about that. People don't value that enough like winning games because of your backup Corbett no. I think that that's well said. And obviously egos are a team. That had a lot of experience with that recently. I I mean you look at Pat. Mahomes gets hurt last year that she's Goto in one with Adam. I mean who knows you know where they are if they go. Oh and three in that stretch etc. I'm curious and I'm sure this bothers you not to go back to things you hate but on Monday. There was a report that the eagles could be looking to use. Jalen hurts as a running back. What are your thoughts on that? I think that's foolish Philly game and hatred running back the quarterback he's earned that right I know Jalen will do whatever it is out the team. But I don't. I don't think that's the best use of your your players if you spend in anytime not in the quarterback not at the quarterback position in practice. What do you make then is it? Do you feel the same way about. As soon as he was drafted. There was a lot of tastes him. Hill talk and tastes them in the career. He's had is really great and really interesting but he has kind of spawned a lot of I guess people wanting to copycat that right. Look let's just go get this do can do a bunch of stuff does. I don't want to say that that's insulting. You know maybe you feel that way. That's kind of a heavy award but does that bother you like no dude. Just let this guy go. Be a great quarterback. Yeah I think the chasing I. I'll just be honest. I think it's disrespectful. Tasting hills.

"Feel like like everybody else and watch like the regular series. But I'm into this conspiracy show now on Netflix. I forget the name. I think that's interesting okay. Cool yeah those are always great like the ones that like. If you've got somebody's watching and you're texting is like I can't believe they got away with this. Whatever that totally So I WANNA start With a tweet of yours from September two thousand eighteen. Do you know what you tweeted on that day. Okay so this is September first. Two Thousand Eighteen Bendon NUCCI at Jammu. Who's currently going toe to toe with? Nc STATE IS GONNA be a draft pick in the two thousand twenty draft. You called it. I'm not do you Do you know how ben played that day? Established line off the top of your head avenue Washington thinking. He's playing pretty well so the mighty. Dukes lost that game to the wolf pack. And that's not what's important Benvenuti. Uchi went twenty three of twenty seven for one hundred. Ninety seven yards threw a touchdown but had fourteen carries for seventy nine yards on the ground. was that your first exposure to Ben. No actually knew Ben when he was at Pitt. I got introduced to the main And I've shot out to University of Pittsburgh to try and try and train him a few times And then we kinda continued going from there but I had never seen him like in live game action. In that way I knew how talented he was from workouts with seeing him on that stage playing against North Carolina. State team probably Is it more talented? Those guys almost every position to seeing things used doing. I'm like all right. He actually can do it. Sure so if it isn't obvious to the listener by now you train. Benvenuti and obviously know him very well. You also have another tweet noting that you called every bowl. Scott to try to tell them about him. Why are you so I mean I imagine you're obviously a fan of everybody in the Chamber? Why are you such a big champion events cost? I just thought that Ben was unique in how he threw the ball. Look I've seen a lot of quarterbacks and a lot of different levels and I knew that like on Taylor wise. He was an. Nfl quarterback undoubtedly but the way that he can run. The ball extend plays in be creative. Do all those other things that new age quarterback and doing like there's no reason that it shouldn't be a really big school player like this and people shouldn't be taking notice of how well you play well so then breakdown bench for us. Because as I'm sure you're aware you know for most cowboys fans when that happened in the seventh round this past weekend and in fact a lot of analysts were really honest and said look. I haven't watched a lot of James Madison football. I really can't tell you a lot about him. So a lot of people are kind of flying into this blind. You mentioned that you love the way he throws the football kind of gives us a one. Oh one on Benji. So he's a very natural thrower. He completely changes throwing motion through his college years. And he's had like a very strong arm can make all the throws in terms of anticipation. Throwing with energy on a line can get balls up and down what I mean by that. There's a linebacker in between the receiver and where he's at he can get a ball up over his head in drop before the safety like with trajectory energy actually Then of course you can throw a touch like I got to watch him into show on a workout together. You you can casually drop to shop and just making sure China working out with the show and watching him like he's doing all the things that shows doing throwing the ball. He's doing it like I think that he's GonNa be ready. And whoever gets who's going to be really really excited about it so when you say he's a natural throw over the ball. I think this is the time of year where a lot of scouting terms like that are set in and you explained how does a great job of avoiding linebackers in the middle of of his line of sight. What is it natural? Throw the ball into you. They're not rigid the Balkans out of their hand after lives ever loosely. He can drive the ball. He can manipulate the ball from different angles. And I think if you get the opportunity to watch him he can drop it. Sounds like he can do all the things with his arm and every different angle. That only somebody can do they. They really through professionally came to them nationally. So where do you think ban has? Well let me start here. How long have you been working with him to a legitimate degree? I would say well three years. So then where would you say he was the weakest when you first got your hands on him? She was the he's area. He needed the most improvement weather decision. Making and like we say in the North Carolina State gave me like twenty three twenty seven. He started to understand the value of completions and I think this final year for him. It really clicked like he really started. Understand what it meant to take care of the ball what meant to make good decisions continually and then still be aggressive. There's some jewelry James Madison. I think he adds some some areas where he struggled a bit in terms of just trying to do too much reckless football but his senior year. I think the the new coaching staff helped to a bunch. They're very clear about his expectations and he ran ran with it so well. That's really I think encouraging for people to hear how much do you think Maybe this isn't a ben specific question but you obviously work with a Lotta guys how much you like aggressiveness. And I know that you're not you know hindering that but you know. I think there's something that people like about a quarterback who is willing to take chances so to speak like if you see a guy who never throws interceptions. That's usually a problem usually not aggressive or not aggressive enough like you want to have to like. Pull the reins back a little bit on the guy like hey when we call it playing we get dowd up and we get to play. We want you gotta be willing to make the effort and drive the ball and usually to work out for us. But at some point it won't But we need you to be aggressive with football. Because that's the only way team they're gonNA make explosive. Plays and explosive plays only team score points. See I and I WANNA keep this on Benvenuti but I think that was a phenomenon that we saw with Dak Prescott last year to keep it cowboys center got a lot more aggressive and when you do that interception numbers go up. That's just kind of you know. That's the trade off but you also pull off a lot more incredible place She said that was the area that been needed the most development in when you first got your hands on him but when you first saw him what was the area that maybe on your way to that work out. You're like okay you know. I'm assuming this guy is going to need work here or whatever and you got there and you're like Whoa okay. We don't have to touch that all armed strength like I was. I was a little concerned. Like oh I hadn't seen him on the radar as a high school guidance. I'm like does he not have that like the juice But that's the out to me right away like no. That's good. Check their box. How far can throw at them? I mean put that in. Give us like some terms for that so in terms of miles per hour. I can go there because I'm Jacob. Some sixty two miles an hour which would be the fastest time Since in the last five years Like right fifty. Nine Point Five. So he's upper echelon in terms of arm strength driving them all. Okay well. That's no big deal. I can almost hit sixty miles an hour. That'S NO BIG DEAL. It's real casual thing Okay well so so. He obviously has an incredible arm. How do you marry that with being aggressive because I feel like if you have an incredible armed people might assume that? That always means have a precise arm. But that might not necessarily the case. Yeah that's what we spent a lot of time. Developing in honing in was that accuracy. And we did that through refine mechanic so consistently get to the same positions over and over and over again. Just be cabin. Great Base having great balance on an even. When you're like creating those situations where you have to gain a couple of yards and work away from a defender. He's still able to get really good positions With his body so that he can be consistently accurate. I'm so that's a big thing that we were so it sounds like you've worked on a lot of things from kind of the torso up. I mean we've talked about his arm. Strength talked about his decision. Making talk to me about his feet. What do you make Benvenuti's feet? He's seen a tremendous athlete. Like you see him. You know when you feel right is looking like. I'm not sure you can do it. But when you cut on the tape and you see move. You're like yeah. He Can. He can do it all. You see my basketball court. You're like okay. He really is athletic. Like G has great body control. You can move. Well change directions all the things that are needed to play quarterback so you've tweeted out and posted a lot of clips of ban in your on Instagram at Quincy. Every there's an underscore between your first last name on twitter. But you mentioned the tape. What's your favorite bend new because every cowboys fan from now until forever is going to be pulling up you know clips and stuff on Youtube. What's what's the game. What's the the quintessential Bendon intriguing? I like the Rhode Island game tonight four touchdowns like they beat up on a pretty bad but you got see him be consistently accurate but if you watch them that's Kunsi and go against the the powerhouses go check out that North Carolina state. I think he played really well. There that is a great way to start like okay. This is what I'm getting. I'm excited about there. You mentioned the Rhode Island game here. Eighty two rushing yards in that game. That was a season high. He had two games with at least eighty yards. Would you classify him? You mentioned the Shawn Watson you also work with Jalen hurts. I WANNA get there in a second. Would you classify the new Chisholm Mobile quarterback or maybe hate that type of term? I'm curious thoughts there. I think the term is used pouring into of like highschool recruitment when guys get to this level like them adding that element then being mobile and being able to add things athleticism. I think essential in. We're almost going to the point. Where if they can't do that they're not going to be quarterback in the NFL But he definitely would be classified as a mobile guy. So I'm sure you hate doing this too and I don't mean Quincy Digest do a bunch of things you hate. But who who's. Who's this cop for you? I mean maybe somebody you've worked with maybe somebody you've just seen maybe somebody who grew up watching them. I don't know who does he remind you in terms of. Oh that's that's really difficult because anytime you give a conflict and I'm like Oh man I got. I am today I I will say is movement patterns the ways body moves. And I'm not I'm not gonNA compares played to him but the ways body moves is comparable to Aaron Rodgers just in terms of like how he throws how we literally finished not. I'm not saying that that Rice ought to get that I think that is things. Go good like He..

Avery Quincy does a lot of fantastic work training quarterbacks. You might know some of the people he's worked with. I don't know Houston Texans quarterback Shawn Watson no big deal now the best quarterback on the Philadelphia Eagles Roster Jalen hurts and of course Dallas Cowboys quarterback. Ben Delucci Quincy has been working with d'Ici for a couple of years now and really kind of understands the rhythms and the rhymes come on up. It's bobsled time to game and so we've thought you know what let's get to know. Ghanouchi the eyes of tactician through the eyes of Somebody. Who's trained him? The is there somebody that knows his strengths. That knows his weaknesses and can really highlight them for us. Because obviously we care a lot about been Nucci and I tell you what I really think that at the end of this conversation. You're going to be kinda hyped. I really believe that. Your I'm not saying you'RE GONNA go out and customize order yourself Number One ben to New Jersey. He's wearing number one by the way As Bobby Bell told us this week but I do think you're going to say you know what that was the only pick right of all the draft picks the cowboys me. That was the only one that wasn't met with this overwhelming alerts. Go right I mean the nutrient shake was just kind of whatever I mean. That's cool but I really think that you'll feel a lot better about it after this conversation so I don't want to waste any more of your time. Let's go ahead and get to it quincy. "They've done something that people would be dying to do some. Getting getting Dave formation out understanding that quarterback margins is really the vision of that the podcasts. Yeah. Especially now Quincy is so much more of a mental game. I mean there so much going on at the line of scrimmage before the snap even takes place nowadays percent, Sylvie moving parts to deepen. There's things that they can do like we talked about earlier with the spread offense Just world world way. way. Hippie late on the coverage is constantly changing. So being being lied about the neck is is the differentiating factor. All right. And the NFL draft is upon us. Here we are recording this before the draft. But by the time this airs the draft will be over. So what quarterbacks have you worked with that are in this year's draft. And who do you think has the highest potential to make it in the NFL here for sure I'll be biased because one of my guys is Jesse should be one of your quarterbacks. Take it. I work with Wayne Haskins through this process. So that's that's my guy. I'm gonna be rocking with. I I love. I mean, I know mostly but come up with they're very around drew jeers calibrates. So they're young guys. So I see them for but having worked with way throughout this whole feature process. That's that's who I'm bend on. That's my guys rolling. Okay. I'll be keeping my eye on Dwayne Haskins for sure to see what happens there. What's neck? For you Quincy. What kind of goals or plans the half yourself? A future continue growing quarterback is over and business. We're terribly probably the biggest quarterback training program. TV a great dad, you know, to keep doing all those things I'll have the biggest quarterback training program all the country. But you just had her saying that you had put the kid. I no matter what and understand that. "I mean that that always seems to start from under the boss whenever these things go down. And you know, when we look at this the ticks children who grow up without a father figure in the home. We quickly realized that the role of father is equally as important to a child's upbringing. But because of how men are treated in the court system. I mean, many times there you million and just drained the Voeller assets a lot of dads just throw their hands up turn their backs and just walk away from it. They can't take it. And I think we do lose a lot of fathers in our society as a result of that. Hundred percent. I was fortunate to be a pretty good situation my child, and we got a pretty good situation. But I deal with friends. I have a couple of friends who just been they really wanna be good dads in the situation that they put in the lack of time to see the legal fees, all those different things. They just mount up that up, and it's very very difficult as unfortunately, kind of the way things are because like I do wanna be, Dan. And sometimes it system events him for. And that's challenging and more than fortune. Yeah. I agree. All right now, you work with a lot of young quarterbacks. I just had Jordan Palmer on the podcast here recently, we touched on a bit about how much the position is changing of. What are some of the challenges facing these young quarterbacks today? Okay. And it's time to get an important word from our sponsors then back with more from Quincy Avery Amish lace and you're listening to first class fatherhood. Let's go dad. You heard me speaking recently about my daddy daughter date to see frozen on Broadway. And it.

"Right. And joining me now is a first class father. He is a quarterback coach trainer and developer who works with both college and professional quarterbacks. He is the founder of the QB takeover and the youth passing league. He is also the host of the QB podcast that is a great privilege for me to say Quincy Avery. Welcome to first-class fatherhood. Hey, what's going on here? You haven't. All right here, we go. How many kids do you have? And how old are they got one daughter, and she is a little over two while. Okay. Brand new are you going to be trying for the boy here at some point? Are you all done? I don't know when you this thing my years. All right Quincy, please just take a second here to hit my listeners, but a little bit about your background. And what you do. So I'm quick ta reaffirm a quarterback developer I worked with a bunch of NFL college and high school quarterback to cost across the country. So he's been building developing. I football bring in. Kinda work this football next year, Asian, okay? Very cool. The Quincy how to becoming a dad kinda change your perspective on life. It changed. My perspective on really devalue like how you treat people. Started. She I treated people pretty well. But then when you have a kid kind of respect to changes only like how you deal with people you're frustrated with things like that. You you kinda find a healthier way. And you get to understand how to localize things that you need them. Somebody a little bit better. So that affects your deposits here rather than just being this face Email that you'd have to care about how they're doing their emotional mental Welby. Yeah. Very well said, and I know that you are a single father, and you are co-parenting what are some of the challenges of that whole situation. So scheduling scheduling is a major thing, especially coping thing as a single day. A lot of trials that takes place in my line of work. So it's it's always about, you know, competes me came with their mother, and then made a lot of extra troops. I often find myself having to fly extra stops drive drop my daughter off with their grandmother and then head onto my next trip. So that's that's what they're what I do. When I'm in a lot of nights are training at six thirty seven. So see this finding a really good base hit or you gotta bring your daughter out to the field with the she used to be involved in the drills yet. That's gotta be fun for her although challenging for you at the same time. All right. There are many dads out there that are really similar situation to us. So at what point in a new relationship, would you consider it to be safe or comfortable? Introducing your door to a new woman that's in your life. I think about all the time. I'm probably long way from that. I don't know exactly what that would take it after cheese consider moving forward with long term. I don't think it's valuable to anybody to bring to my child's life. You're not super series. I haven't found that yet. So I would imagine lease take over six months, and you really be danger. My and that would just be induction. But not but that that's kind of one of the things that have the most difficult with right now. Yeah, I can only imagine Quincy right now, we are facing fatherless problem in our country, and whenever it comes to divorce or child custody. It seems as though of the mom is valued more than the dad..
