"This team is ripe for a complete tear down at this point. And Danny's very familiar with how that process goes. Yeah, I mean, this is one of the trickier spots for an NBA team to be in Chris because for a three, four year run there. It looks like you're knocking on the door and it's like, oh, a break here or a break there. Or maybe one player away one shooter away one perimeter defender away or whatever and you think and we're right there. And maybe we can make it. So making the determination of whether you're actually truly on the cusp and have a shot and are still a player away remove away versus you know what? Maybe we've maxed out with this group and it's time actually to take a step back to go forward and you laid it out perfectly. I mean, the west is only getting tougher next season. In fact, if anything, this was kind of a down year for the west at the top. And it's really crowded and those teams are really talented and while we every year see some unexpected stuff happen, you know, look, we all thought the Lakers might struggle with Westbrook there, but we didn't think they were going to be this bad. Some things happened that you can't expect. But not all these teams are going away. And as you point out, some of them, like the clippers, nuggets are gonna come roaring back after injuries. And the Mavericks will do something to add to Luca. You know, they're not gonna stand pat. The grizzlies will keep pushing forward. The pelicans are coming. Like I'm not saying the pelicans are gonna leapfrog the jazz tomorrow, but maybe there's just a lot of, there's a lot of talented teams who are right in that range. And if you're the jazz, you have to consider whether it's time to take a step back instead with whether you've gone as far as you possibly can with Mitchell and Gobert as your two pillars. And as you note, Danny ainge has a history of no sentimentality, not loyal to anybody, traded Isaiah Thomas after Isiah Thomas, you know, most memorable season of his career. And after a lot of other things happen along the way. Like, Danny is going to do whatever is necessary. Now, Danny ainge has that whatever weird title where he's like, he's not technically hitting ahead of basketball operations, but like he is. Yeah, he's there for a reason. He was the one sitting next to Quinn Snyder, you know? He's in charge. He's there for. And look, I can tell you this about Danny. Making the playoffs doesn't work for him. Like being like a one and done team doesn't work for him. A two and done team. If he did, he would have kept pierce, kept rondo, kept KG, finished out a couple of years, been a playoff team every single year and been sentimental about it..

"Jayson Tatum specifically has not had a breakout game in this series. Shot the ball a lot better in game two, but he was what a -36 overall for the game. This was a guy that was one of the best plus minus player. I think it was the best plus minus player in the NBA during the regular season. What do you need to see out of Jay Stanton? What should the Celtics ask of Jayson Tatum going into this game three? It's a good question. I mean, I tend to think when you get this deep into the playoffs when you're in the finals. You're going to go as far as your best players take you, right? Like, it's great to see him put up like 13 assists or something, but like I don't think Jason Tatum having a great game as a distributor is going to be how this others are going to win consistently. Yes, that worked out okay in game one despite him shooting terribly. He became a playmaker. Okay, fine. But it's not, I don't think it's the path to the championship. Is Jason Tatum shooting 35% scoring in the teens, but having a lot of assists. I think that's not how they're built. So I think you want him aggressive, but you don't want him over aggressive. If you want him to be looking to score and to get going early, but not forcing it, right? This is the balance that every franchise star has to find, especially the ones who are, you know, generally speaking, guards and wings who are the multi talented, you can score it wherever you want, get your shot off wherever you want. You're solid to great passer. And the responsibility becomes, you're going to have the ball in your hands more than anybody else. You've got to figure out when the right time is to shoot and when to move the ball. And so it sounds like this puzzle that you have, but it is. Like, that's it. He has to find the right level of aggression. But I want him to be aggressive. I want Jayson Tatum looking for his shot and I want him driving and I want him putting the warriors on their heels because I think it opens up so much else for the Celtics. Yeah, I think he's got to go when he gets the ball. Sometimes Tatum has a habit of kind of holding onto it, surveying the defense. You don't want to give that warrior's defense a chance to, you know, implement what it's going to implement against you, whether it's drifting over a defender, putting a defender on the backside. All the things they're throwing adjacent Tatum to try to mix him up. I don't know if there's a number of shots. I want to see Jayson Tatum take given what the defense is doing. I just want to see him shoot efficiently. He shot pretty efficiently in game two, 6 for 9 from three point range is a great number. You want to see that if you can duplicate it, went to the free throw line 8 times, that's a pretty good number for Jayson Tatum. He was part of that core that got run over in the third quarter. And if you're Tatum, you've kind of got to be the guy that stops these runs. You've got to be the one that gets aggressive in those moments, gets the free throw line, gets a bucket, prevents kind of The Rock from rolling down the mountain there. When your team is playing the way they were playing..

"I've seen fans saying trade it, then he Davis for him. I personally wouldn't do that, but I've been seeing Lakers fans who have said that. I know he's been held in high regard by Lakers fans for a while, UCLA guys, there's part of it there. But yeah, I don't see a path to doing that though. I mean, look, it would be great if they got Zach lavine. I don't see any realistic way to make that happen. Last time Lakers fans wanted a UCLA guy, we picked him over a guy from duke. So that's fun. It's a Jayson Tatum reference there for everybody who's unclear, talking about the Lonzo Ball pick over Jason Tatum. That would still still stings. One pick before Jason, right? The right before, right before. And in fact, the Celtics because it was such a lock that the Lakers were taking Lonzo that they traded back to three. They trained it back. Knowing they could get Tatum because they knew the Lakers would never take them. Oh my God. Mistakes were made, mistakes were made. Harvey holliman said the impact of the vocal firing is overblown. It might be. And I hope it is. I hope this is something that, at first, ruffles some feathers, but as time goes by, maybe it doesn't matter as much. So I hope you're right about that, Harvey. Until Frank Vogel comes out with a documentary and then we all have to relive what happened on that baby. I don't think Frank vocals come back coming out with a documentary, but rumors and things like that could leak and then off you go. All right, we do need to take a quick break so I can talk about one of our sponsors. That is prize picks. If you ever heard about prize picks, it's daily fantasy made easy. I.

"On off ball. I would like to see that. I think quin Snyder leads to that. But that can also be pretty taxing on whoever you're primarily primary ball handlers. You know, we've seen a lot of the discourse around the jazz being that Donovan Mitchell kind of burned out. People questioning whether or not it was effort, but other people would bring up the point like that could be running quin Snyder system all sees a long acting as kind of both the initiator and the score can be pretty taxing. And that got me thinking about LeBron, I mean, he's kind of both for the Lakers right now. Is that really so there's some things that I think that would need to be tweaked if there's some truth to that. Yeah. Speaking of the jazz, oh boy, here we go. So last night, after the jazz got eliminated, dawn of a Mitchell was asked, are you do you want to stay? Put the Utah Jazz or are you going to ask for a trade? What fans of that particular team what jazz fans wanted to hear was, no, reports that I might want to leave are crazy. I'm staying. I don't want to go anywhere. I want to be here. I love it here. I want to spend my whole career here. That's what they want to hear. That's not what he said. That's not what he said at all. He said, I need like a week to think about it. Now, he was explaining that in the moment having just lost the game, that hurts, that's what's on his mind. He's not thinking about the future. That kind of stuff. He was more diplomatic than just saying, oh, I need some time to think about whether or not my ass for a trade. But still, he had the opportunity to kind of buy in again to Utah and he did not do that. Maybe in a week, he comes back and says, oh, okay, I cleared my head. I'm good. No, I don't want to go anywhere. Maybe. But there have been rumblings around the NBA for a while now that Donovan Mitchell could be asking for a trade from the Utah Jazz. Rudy Gobert. Another name that could likely end up on the trade block, maybe Rudy Gobert is dealt in order to placate Donovan Mitchell. We'll see. But the jazz being a team that could make some major moves, the Lakers could potentially get in on some of those deals. I don't think the Lakers have the pieces to go get Donovan Mitchell. I think someone else would outbid them. But maybe acting as a third team, that could be a good thing for the Lakers. Another team trying to make big moves because I think you're going to need pieces out there on the market in order for the Lakers to get stuff done. No, for sure. And even if it's helping in also by the way, the jazz would have to implode in that team. Like something has to change in Utah. Just the constant trial and error. And this is why I do started to keep going back to Quinton. I do feel bad for going to a certain extent. That roster is not the best constructed roster. Your second highest paid player is not Kimberly contribute that much offensively. I also have maybe a few lobs and offensive rebounding..

"I've got a lot of people that are commenting on these potential hires. Look, here's the thing. I've got people saying, our Jackson should be getting an interview, all these other people. Look, and I know a lot of people think different ways about Mark Jackson, but yes, give them an interview. You leave no stone unturned. Whether it's whether you see Marc Jackson as a real candidate or not, depending on how much credit you give him for the warriors teams or was that Steve Kerr coming in. Look, you give him an interview. Again, if you are the Lakers, you cast a wide net and I'm expecting, look, we're just hearing. Just hear it. Darvin ham's name pops up, right? We've heard quin Snyder. We've heard Nick nurse. There have been a few other names that have been connected. Steve Clifford. We've heard Mike Brown, but I think we're going to hear a lot more names connected to the Lakers. This is not going to be solved overnight. It's not like tomorrow, watch now it'll probably happen. It's not like tomorrow. They're going to pop up and announce who their new head coaches. So I think this is going to be a long process. There's going to be a lot of people that are mentioned in connection to this job. In number one, because it's the Lakers, but number two, because I think that it's a good thing. If they leave no stone unturned, you interview a lot of people and you have to consider all options because the most important thing this off season is that regardless of what you do, you get it right. You have to bat a thousand this off season. I've said it a bunch of times, and that includes the coaching higher decision. In addition to the personnel moves, you have to get this right. Where does Mark Jackson rank for you amongst potential Lakers hires? Assuming Nick nurse is out of the picture. Assuming that we're with Mark Jackson right for you. I mean, it depends is dock in there. All these other coaches that were kind of waiting to see if they ultimately get let go. He's on my short list of guys that I'm interested in talking to. Is he number one on that list? No, I think there was enough smoke behind problems within the warriors organization when Mark Jackson was there that you got to be a little bit concerned about that. Now LeBron, there have been some rumors that he might be, you know, kind of pushing for Marc Jackson. Okay, maybe that gives it a little bit more credibility there. I'm not dismissing it out of hand. I'm not just saying no, this just no way it's not happening. I do question why, if he's been going after head coaching jobs, why would he have been passed upon so many times already? That leads you to wonder if there's something else there. But again, if I'm the Lakers, I'm not just dismissing anybody really. I'd like to bring them in, give them an interview and see what's there and find out. What would he do with this team and move forward from there? And again, get that kind of input. I think whoever the Lakers hire, I'm going to try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Obviously I've got my favorites, but I think I want to try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

"Defensive coach and they gave me a bunch of dudes are 33 and up who can't guard worth anything. Yep, I want that job. Why would he want that? So I do think it's more. I'm sure the Lakers want them. I think Quinn's a good head coach, but like you mentioned, does Quinn want the Lakers job, especially seeing how they handled the Frank Vogel firing. And he could always go back to Utah like you mentioned. It's more his decision at this point. And then the rumors about San Antonio, Greg Popovich has been retired officially yet, but that's on the table. It pops as I'll go one more year. Quinn, he could just take a year off if he really wanted to. So obviously the Lakers want Quinn. I think that would be a smart move. And I think it's like a coach, but like I mentioned, why would Quinn honestly after how they handled the Frank Vogel situation want the Lakers job? And I think it's different than Darwin, 'cause darvin ham hasn't had, he's not a head coach yet. He's never been a head coach. So for him, this is shiny new toy. I could be the Lakers head coach. Instead of being an assistant. So I think it's different. I agree with you that it's two different things. If you're looking at the Lakers situation, though, from the perspective of a head coach or I'm sorry, I'm an assistant coach, somebody who doesn't have a head coaching job in the league right now. We know that jazz want to keep quin Snyder. If he wants to be a head coach in the NBA next season, he's going to be a head coach in the NBA next season. The question is, which team does he want to coach for? The same is not true of darvin ham. If he wants to be a head coach, there's only a few possibilities. That's Sacramento, Charlotte, and the Lakers. Maybe the jazz of Quinn Snyder decides he's going to leave. That's it. Those are your options..

"I'm just excited. I've been around the darvin ham train since January, I feel so kind of celebrating even though it's just an interview, but heck yeah, man. I mean, this has been the one that you've been in. You've been from day one. The second the Lakers coaching job opened up, you've been saying DARPin ham, this has been your guy, why is this such a big deal and why do you have him? I'm assuming Nick nurse is ahead of him on your list, right? Okay. But we also consider Nick nurse to probably be not that realistic. So aside from Nick nurse, why is darvid Hampton at the top of your list and port that we talk about this? Now that the Lakers are actually requesting to interview him. Yeah, man darvin ham is he's been Mike Boone holder's right hand man since he was with him in Atlanta, but he actually followed head coach Ben holzer some Milwaukee. He's just been instrumental..

"I just, you know, and again, I do the same thing you do. I run a lot of these questions by scouts and coaches that I know and get their take on it. I don't think Rudy was as dominant defensively as he's been in years past. And the jazz were, you know, even in games he played him were kind of bled. They blew some leads in games he played in and look, they're just not as there's not as versatile when he's out there on the floor. Like the case for smarts, you know, look, you can run through his accolades. Top 5 of the NBA and steals, top 5, and defensive wind shears. He's first in loose balls recovered per game. He's top ten in defensive rating, deflections, charges, the Celtics. Had the best defensive rating in the NBA, per NBA dot com. And since January 1st, I was looking this up, they had a better defensive rating than anybody else. I think Phoenix was in second place by more than three points. That's a big gap between first and second, smart, was the head of the snake on that. The Celtics defense is a switch heavy defense. They switch everything on that team. And you could only do that. If you have a player like Marcus smart, who can switches all 5 guys. And you look at some of the advanced stats there, when Marcus smart does switch, more often than not, the guy he switches on, he doesn't score. I was listening to something quin Snyder said when he came through Boston recently talking about comparing smart to an elite cornerback in the NFL where you don't even want to go near him at times. Like if you have a guy being guarded by Marcus smart, you almost almost put him as a decoy out there on the floor. So I went with smart, like he is the key to that Celtics defense. He runs through a million screens, you know, a week. His versatility has just been invaluable for a Celtics team that had the best defense in the NBA. So smart was, I agree with you. Smart was my call. Yeah. Listen, this is always one of the toughest ones to vote on anyway just because, you know, this is not one that you can make it somewhat stat based, but defensive stats are kind of wonky and not as definitive. And none of us see all 82 games of every team. And defensive assignments and schemes have something to do with whether or not you are a good defender. Whether a coach considers you a good defender, you can watch a given game where someone locks up a player and think, oh man, God, that guy's been fantastic, but it doesn't mean they do it every night. It's really tough. I find that that one is the one I always do last because I just don't want to deal with it. It's hard to, it's hard to get your head around. It is not as easily analyzed, I think, as a lot of the others. Yeah, I agree..

"Going to be the two big things we're going to see addressed here pretty soon. I don't know how much changes will expansion nomenclature and rules and laws and all those things, but I do think they'll firm that up and then I think draft reform and geo reform is coming in a big, big way. And I think it's going to make the G league that much more important in the years to come. And we've said for a while now, if the league does expand and we think it's coming, it's going to be two teams. It's not going to be one, and we think it's going to be most likely Seattle and right here in Las Vegas. Very likely. Yeah, they're pushing it has helped that the hockey team has done so well and that they have the Raiders. Doing so well there now to it makes it easier because there's always a question of, all right, well, it's a tourist town, much like here in Orlando where I am. Is there enough of a local base to support pago season ticket holders and the like. And it's proven in Orlando, obviously, 30 years with the magic. But in Las Vegas, with the hockey team and the knights and the Raiders, it's proven, hey, we can do this. We can support pro sports here, and it seems like the NBA may be the next logical fit. Yeah. I mean, we've seen MLB has been looking at that as well. Of course, the MLS has been another one. So who knows?.

"Certainly not moving in the right direction there for him. Joe Harris, the Brooklyn and ankle surgery for him. We already knew he was going to be out for the season, but now it's confirmed. He had ankle surgery, and he will not be available till next year. I mean, one of the best shooters in the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets will not have his services at least for the playoffs this year and hopefully he'll be back and make a full recovery at the beginning of next season. Yeah, obviously we focused on Kyrie all year. We focused on James Harden that he didn't play for them. We continue to monitor and watch what will happen with Ben Simmons. And it almost kind of, I think, got forgotten. Definitely not by nets fans, but by the rest of us that Joe Harris hasn't been there all year..

"I do want to bring up in that the one seed will generally know well, not generally. They'll know by Tuesday, right? Because that first game is played on Tuesday. So they'll know. But then the two seed will not know who the 7 is. Maybe until a couple of days ahead, because they'll know at the end of the week when the play in tournament wraps up. For those two teams, so that does definitely make it a challenge to get settled on who you're going to play because you got to wait until those games play out, but it's definitely one of those things where paid is what it is. There's not much that can be done about it. Imagine if you're the two seat in the east right now, it's the Milwaukee Bucks. And you have to wait the longest to find out who your opponent is and surprise it's the month. It's the Brooklyn that's waiting for you. That would not be an ideal situation for that two seat. You're going to be real hard for the hawks or the horse. Right, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. "Last year only one thirteenth man and one of the things that i absolutely loved about utah last year was how many minutes and meaningful minutes quin snyder. Got some a. I still think there is a lot there for him to work on his decision. Making is not quite there yet. Like he's a solid fuel guy but like he he's still stops the ball a little bit and that was killer for the jazz like it wasn't all the time but there were moments where life may only gets the ball in the corner and he's a capable shooter like if somebody's closing out to him and he doesn't take the ball right away that can really negate the initial advantage created by donovan mitchell. Mike conley or whoever drives and especially for the way that utah's built. You can't do that so i think you're looking for that for me only this year but i also thought he showed some real flashes defensively that i liked last year. He just brings more athleticism. I think if the shot is there and he's capable of attacking like he can drive to the rim score room. He can do stuff as a quarter that i really like. He's somebody who. I'm high on coming into this year as a real bet on candidate and what they can do like looking at royce. O.'neil a couple years back as he started to come. In as a as an undrafted guy i wanna say was undrafted. I can't remember my apologies from wrong on that. I don't have the time to look it up right now. But i really liked how he started to integrate. And we've seen how he's become a real star in the league now. I think that that's there for miami and with more ball hanley chops and i think there's a little bit more upside for him to just as an offensive player. I'm very to see how that works. Allies hughes who was their second round draft pick out of syracuse i. He didn't play a talk for utah. Last year. he played more in the g. league. I didn't watch his dealing minutes just to be completely honest watches much because i wanted to last year. We'll probably watch more this year analysis out of school but with the logic us like he showed some real. I know he got very hyped up in the twenty twenty draft because of i. I don't mean a positive or negative. Just mean like he was hyped up because i think he led the ncaa isolation scoring efficiency. If i remember correctly he's a good size wing with some shock creation shops and ability to do that. I wanna see more from him defensively. I don't know what his playmaking is like. Because again like i haven't seen him since syracuse..

"To Utah Jazz and the jazz favor, but they're able to even in a bad game make at least ten. You slipped in quin Snyder coach of the year and it's unfortunate that he's not even being mentioned that Jerry Sloan never won coach of the year. And it's kind of the hazard of coach in a good team, but hopefully maybe one day Quinn will get that. All right, let's move on now to the other side of all this, the big man. You know, we know how great Rudy is. I love the little bits that favors throws in. It's really kind of like the icing on the cake. You know, we've talked about this before where the master beat the teacher becomes the master. There was a time when Gobert earlier on in his career was under the tutelage of Derek favors. And now favors is the complimentary piece to what you get from Rudy Gobert and Gobert is I think a landslide winner for the defensive player of the year. But we don't have the success, the jazz don't have the success this year that they have had without the one two punch of favors along with Rudy Gobert. So give favors a lot of love here because he's been again willing to accept a role coming off the bench, but he comes in and does the things of the jazz need. He blocked shots. He's got that little teardrop shop from the middle of the key and there's a lot of things that help Utah and that combination what we refer to as the wasatch front, right? Those two guys, their ability to combine for big numbers along with Rudy's numbers as you see here. 20.3 pound games, right? 6 times he's gone over 20 rebounds ties with Clint capella. And if you take that one step further dilemma, truck Robinson. Land Robinson back in the day. He had 16 games. I suspect. Yeah, don't get comfortable truck. Oh, Rudy's gonna go over this. You're a lot. That's right, maybe sooner than you even think. He's only one behind him, so and Karl Malone was such a great rebounder and for him to surpass him on that particular status speaks a lot. All right, speaking of Rudy, a lemon. It's time now for this week's edition of jazz bites and jazz go into the playoffs as we know the top seed, which is a first for Rudy as well as most of this squad. And here's what he had to say on Sunday about achieving that goal as the top team in the NBA. Jazz bite presented by Kimball rooting and repairs. I don't think it's a great accomplishment. You know, coming from. We came from 7 years ago, you know, from now making the playoffs and, you know, we are doing from scratch and building stone after stone, you know, and being able to be able to control the team via the identity and go and be in this position today is pretty amazing. And obviously, you know, it's not our main goal, our main goal is to get the championship, but we still have to enjoy those moments and be proud of the year and of the world that we put in this year. By the way, I love that selfie, and I kind of reminds me of the famous Ellen selfie at the Academy Awards. But all right, as for the plane came matchup, LeBron, curry, 7 8 matchup. Now the civil right to explain this is if you're in the 7 8 game, you get two chances to advance, basically double elimination. If you're in the 9 ten game, you only get one. You lose in your out. So this is the bracket spurs face the grizzlies, loser jumps to the lottery. Warriors and Lakers face off winner gets the 7 seed and then loser faces off against the San Antonio Memphis winner for the 8 seat. Hopefully that makes some sense. All right, 11, take us through. Who's gonna win? First of all, grizzlies spurs. Well, I think that the spurs win that first game. I don't think the grizzlies are ready for prime time. The spurs have experienced if not only from their head coach Gregg Popovich. So I think the spurs come out of that 9 ten matchup and then they will have to face that loser coming out of the 7 and 8. And the 7 and 8 matchup warriors in the Lakers LeBron and Steph alema who do you like? This might surprise some people. I don't see Lakers as being all the way ready for this first matchup tomorrow night. I say that the Lakers lose that game. Wow. Who the Golden State Warriors and Golden State gets the 7 spot. And that means that it all comes down to San Antonio versus the Los Angeles Lakers to decide who is going to play the Utah Jazz. And who wins that? And good news or bad news, maybe you want the defending champs in the first round, but that's what I see. I don't think the Los Angeles Lakers lose two in a row. I think they lose the Golden State that they beat San Antonio. They're the number 8 sequel, see them on Sunday. Oh boy, that's just scares me. But anyway, say that for another day. I mean the LeBron season it is Fox News. Bring on your best. Yeah, you're right. And I think with the arena rocking with 13,000 people in the jazz will be ready. One way or another, they're gonna have to probably go through the Lakers and the clippers. So we'll see where it all shakes out. All right, final week of the NBA season, of course, was a wild one. That final day was a wild one. No shortage of great plays. And as usual, our Matt coma is compiled his top 5 NBA plays of the week. Show off the scoreboards matching with their largest lead. Yeah, magic making some adjustments to. The pass just throw it anywhere. He'll go get it. The one handed catch sneaking that in as he flies by the rim and backboard. Watch this touch his head in at the last second. Inside Trey into that. Behind the back that Snell and he's got the three. That brings back memories right there..

I saw some things I liked in this game. I'm not worried. We're bound to lose a few Donovan Mitchell is still out. It's okay. Dime. I'm manic. I'm not convinced. I think I'm off. So today there's still a slight chance of showers. 57 for hi. Tomorrow, mid sixties, Thursday, mid seventies, Friday, Saturday, mid eighties we could be 85 on Saturday. So we're gonna go like that. Okay, There's your weather. You said I could sit out on the patio this past weekend and I couldn't I don't know what happened that was not expected. Having some trust issues I wasted on wait this past weekend was wasn't funny, but it was okay. No, hold up here. It was cold. Did you go outside Belle? It was cold. I think I think you looked out the window and it was cold. It was cold. Okay. Uh, Mother, I was wrong. "Be a little bit further along than now almost a year ago, 11 months ago was completely fractured like we didn't think that Rudy gobert and Donovan Mitchell were going to be able to coexist now that the best team but record wise in the NBA now again, they beat the Lakers without Anthony Davis and ask router Router, right? So it's not apples-to-apples dead. But that's not the only time they're beating and they beat everybody they beat the hell out of everybody. That's the thing that gets me. It's not just that they're you know, it's it's great feather in your cap. The wind closed case don't have to worry about them to have many close games too much dead maze. It's astonishing the victim of the number of games that they won in the stretch over with double figures by double figures is this is amazing. It's just one of the greatest ones I got to believe in the history of the league. It's like the the one sixty-eight or sixty nine games or seven. I remember when George was talking to us on the Pod and we asked him about I think you asked him about Quin Snyder. Yeah. In fact one thing that he said about Queen that will that I won't forget is is the fact that Quinn and we'll kind of hold guys accountable right? We'll we'll won't let off Rudy gobert necessarily, you know, like like he's going to make sure he puts guys in spots where they're they're going to be successful. He's not going to let guys do things necessarily that they want to do that aren't best phone number. Team, I guess what I'm trying to say is he's going to put his foot down and say no no, no like we're doing what's best for the team here not what's best for you and your contract and whatnot. I think Quincy some some shit to them. And that's what Brad doesn't have it is like we love Brad and what I don't want to get back to Brad Stevens here. I want to get on the Utah Jazz and what makes them so good and I think it is quin Snyder's ability to figure out the the, you know, the relationship between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy gobert and really really go pack the rest of the team and fractured..

"Denver Nuggets lead by one here with 10 24 to go in the first quarter. Invert, just smoked Utah in their most recent game, and then had a ball game against Detroit. Postponed due to Detroit coronavirus problems that win over Utah was 1 28 21, 17. Yokich tied his career high with 47 points. And he had the best quarter of his career with 22 points on nine of 11 shooting in the opening quarter of that ball game. It was never looked back situation for the Nuggets, who come in, obviously, with the moment, um of that wind and again winners of six of their last seven. Like are they started out of 58 for eight from the three point line in that game in the first quarter, they went 18 for 20 from the field in the first quarter. I can't imagine what Quin Snyder was saying to his team at the end of that first court. Just hang in, guys. They can't Keep shooting like this. They came pretty close for the entire first half before they finally came back to Earth. No doubt. Hey, Speaking of hot shooting peaches. That's one thing the Lakers air doing right now that has propelled them to a 16 to 6 start to their season. They're shooting the ball extremely well their top 10 in both field goal percentage, which were used to them doing, but we're not used to them, shooting it as well from the three point line last last year's Shawn they were 21 in three point percentage. This year. They've been sick so far. And surprisingly, I mean, with all due respect to the best player on the planet, LeBron James 41% taking more threes. Then he's taken at any time in his career, and he shooting.

"One more time. Come on. Come on. Here we go. Pay bump, Bump bump. Bump it out. Yeah, baby, Get into a fight over Thought notice. Freddie, eh, Fitz Simmons. I'm Freddie Coleman on ESPN Radio. The ESPN app XM Channel 80 each and every night about this time we give you a little something something it could be a rent. It could be a raid, but It's always something good that we like to call. Freddie and Fitz Simmons. The last word. My first last word is about the Shawn Watson. Maybe it's gonna be soon to be ex quarterback of the Houston Texans. Maybe he won't only time will tell him right now the future is not telling. But there's any team that should be all in to try to pry him away from the Houston Texans. That team plays for the New England area called the Patriots. If your Bill Belichick coach if you're the owner, Robert Kraft, do you really want to try to make this work in terms of building back up when it didn't work in 2020? Yeah. You'd need that one. Do that. You don't have you have a 20 years I was able to overcome any kind of missed aches and he kind of transgressions. You had as an organization. If you missed on this play if you missed on that player Oh, number 12 Tom Brady was able to make sure things are gonna keep running smoothly and be a championship contender. Bill Bell, checking the New England pages and their fan base had a chance to find out how the other half has lived for the 20 years when they were ruling through everything, especially in the Sea East. Nobody like that in New England, and I can't say I blame those in New York Jets fan. So you believe Bill Belichick that you haven't lost it? If you believe that him, I get the right kind of quarterback. I could make this work again. Then that guy's potentially out there. The pages always had the Patriot way. A big part of that is that Tom Brady was a huge huge factor and making sure that Pedro Way was going to work because of his greatness. He goes to Tampa Bay, the most weapons he's ever had in his NFL career and long behold, guess who's in the Super Bowl? And guess who's not there exactly? So if any team is thing about this John Watson and believe me, he's gonna make any team better that he goes to outside of a Kansas City, for example of teams with elite quarterbacks like that. If you don't even knowing the Patriots got to be all that in this dude. Situation like that does not come around the National Football League that happens in the MBA that happens in major league baseball, but not in the National Football League. Ah, guy in his prime with a no trade clause in his contract, and he's not even 26 years of age. You were gonna be into this General Watson sweepstakes. If you're doing the Patriots, you better be at the front of the line or 2021 22,021 22 23. And that's not going to be good if you're a person in the pages, organization or part of that fan base. We start giving so loved in New York, the Utah Jazz That's my other last words. They've won 11 in a row, longest active winning streak in the NBA. They have nice straight games with at least 15 plus threes made not attempted, made. They have made 265 threes in the month of January, the second most any calendar month in the history, the MBA. Right now. The Utah Jazz had the best record in the MBA. Yeah, we live in a land of the Lakers Dolan be M v p candidate of Philadelphia. 76 is they've been They've been terrific. No doubt about that. The Clippers were winning with that. What's gonna happen with them? The Big three with the Brooklyn Nets and boom, they're legitimate threat. How about the Utah Jazz? The guy down. The metal was fast becoming a top 10 player in the NBA. They have a terrific coaching Quin Snyder. Nobody saw that coming. They said. Wait. The Utah Jazz Hi, Quin Snyder. Guys play for Duke of the Great hair. Quin Snyder, the guy that was kicked out of disgrace when he coached Missouri. That Quin Snyder? Yeah, the same one. That's one of the better coaches right now. The MBA, and then he got Mike Conley. He's been terrific. Bogdan Bogdanovich has been unbelievable. The man that my man Jalen Rose calls the stifle tower Rudy Gobert about to be defensive player of the year once again. I know they pay the price because they don't play in New York or Chicago or L, A or Miami. But the Utah Jazz of Legit It's easy to say that Walt's early in the season Yeah, I heard that last year about the Miami Heat. What happened to Miami Heat? That's right. They made the NBA Finals. I kept telling you, that team is going to be legitimate Eastern conference and they got all the way before they ran into those boys in Los Angeles, The Utah Jazz all the jet, The West is a minefield. There's no doubt about that. Like you to you to sleep on the Utah Jazz. Nadine, if it forget about Donovan Mitchell continue. Forget about how it's really This team has been so far in the month of January. They may want to be a surprise to you. Because I'm telling you now, you shouldn't be surprised. They college it They are. They're talented and they are a threat. Whether you want to hear that, or not, or whether you want to believe that or not. Freddie Common. You can always hit me on Twitter Common ESPN, part of Freddie and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. The ESPN happen. See Sirius XM Channel 80 Year. We've all had run ins with our mom and dad on occasion..

Lakers Head Coach Rumors: Rob Pelinka to Run Search for Luke Walton Replacement
"Luke Walton is out as the Lakers head coach it came down less than thirty minutes ago. What does it mean now, and where do the Lakers go from here, we get into it next ESPN, LA Mason and Ireland show Luke Walton is out as the head coach of the Lakers came down about half an hour ago. And Andy now. You cannot look for a president of basketball operations, but you have to have a coach. Yeah. And so they are officially in the market for a new head coach. And it'll be interesting to see if they go after anybody who currently has a job if they only go up, you know, because then it would necessitate maybe waiting till the end of the play offs like the guy would love them to get its Quin Snyder. But the problem is you'd have to give up an asset.
