FDA Issues Emergency Use Authorization for Third COVID-19 Vaccine
"The fda gave emergency use authorization to the johnson and johnson co vaccine. Cdc has already recommended it. So distribution is scheduled to start almost immediately as i briefly went over in the past the main differences between the johnson. Vaccine and say the visor in moderna. Vaccines are johnson. And johnson is one dose. It's easier to store. It doesn't need those super cold. Temperatures so far it's been eighty five percent effective at preventing severe disease and at least in the trial was one hundred percent effective at preventing deaths from covid nineteen. Which are really the most important. Stance provides faster protection. Takes about two weeks to be prevented from getting a moderate to severe case of code and after four weeks there have been no hospitalizations reported or deaths. Obviously lastly there is a lower risk compared to pfizer in moderna of those allergic reactions. The nfl axis cases are already rare with those but in this one in the study there was one case of nfl. Alexis in forty four thousand people as for what causes these differences. This one is made with viral vector technology. According to the cnn article quotes a common cold virus called dina virus. Twenty six is genetically engineered so that it can infect cells but it won't replicate there cannot spread in the body and won't give people a cold like the pfizer and moderna vaccine. It delivers genetic instructions instead of being carried in little lipid balls. The genetic instructions are injected by the weakened virus into arm cells. Name make the pieces that would like part of the coronavirus spike protein which is the knob shaped structure that the virus uses to connect to sells it uses dina virus to get into our bodies and get our bodies used to. It was also this article in cbs. About the astra zeneca vaccine but honestly it just seems like a pr. Move like doesn't seem that impressive. The designer of the astrazeneca vaccine is saying that the plug and play sorta thing. We can easily updated in very quickly. Then when he read they still won't have that update until the fall. It's basically like the same cycle for a regular flu shot. Because it's like the same technology so personally. I don't know if i'd be out there bragging about how quick we can switch this out and updated if it's still until fall now. I don't know how long it would take to switch out the pfizer in moderna vaccines. I thought i read earlier. That the amarna is much easier. Because it's like straight up injecting the virus it doesn't have to wait to sort of replicated or grow it somehow again obviously. I don't know the specifics on that. But i do believe that would be faster than this one
Cases of Flu Are Down Globally
"Job. Maybe next time you're here you can present. That would be getting green jobs. So i'm just asking when that happened. Richard trumka who is a friend longtime friend of joe biden says about that day one eastone. He says i wish he. The president has paired that. Were carefully with the thing that he did. second by saying. Here's where we are creating jobs. So there's partial evidence from richard trumka. Well you didn't include all of his interview. Would you like to include. How about this. The international union of north america said the keystone decision will cost one thousand existing union jobs and ten thousand projected construction jobs. Well what mr trump. Also indicated in the same interview was that president biden has proposed a climate plan with transformative investments and infrastructure and laid out a plan that will not only create millions of good union jobs but also helped tackle the climate crisis. That guy was peter doocy from fox news and i always hate his questions because he takes four ever to get to the point he just beats around the bush because his conscience is fighting him the whole time and at least that's what it seems like. It's like that tiny little part of them that still has morals and ethics is trying to tell him. He's being deceiving and a bad journalist. But pete here just wants at fox news money one of the more unexpected biden policies. I would say. Just because. I never thought he would actually do. It is that he announced on friday. That trump wouldn't be eligible to receive intelligence briefings anymore. This is the first time that a former president has been cut out of these briefings. But we've never truly had a president trump have we biden explained in that norah o'donnell interview saying quote. I just think that there's no need for him. To have the intelligence briefings. What value is giving him. An intelligence briefing. What impact does he have at all other than the fact that he might slip and say something and he also said that has shown quote erratic behavior. Well that certainly the polite way to say that. He's been acting crazy honestly if he didn't read them well he was president. Why should he get them now. I mean the way. I imagine it. They practically had to create puppet shows and plays to get him the information that was in those briefings like they probably had to act it out for him. The man doesn't or possibly can't read so the story here as promised is about the flus really bad year sir remember. I talked a couple weeks ago. About how bad well not. How bad how good for us it was that. This year's flu season is almost nonexistent. In that was in new york city as it turns out that sort of the case. Globally this reporting from the atlantic followed a doctor from the mayo clinic in rochester minnesota. And they just sort of talked it over with them. What they're seeing in. Why we might be seeing this really good flu season for us. He said on december first that they began testing all patients with respiratory symptoms for covert and the flu so thousands and thousands of these tests have turned up positive for covid but out of the twenty thousand flu tests that they've run which is ten times. The usual number zero have come back positive for the flu since early fall. Eight hundred thousand flu tests in the. Us have been done and only fifteen hundred have been positive. That's point two percent for context. That's about one hundred times so last year. We had a hundred times more cases at this time when we had done. Eight hundred thousand tests back then. The flu positivity rate was anywhere between twenty and thirty percent twenty and thirty percent a lot of other respiratory viruses have disappeared as well well disappeared in quotes because they're still out there somewhere including ones for the common cold. Obviously the reason for this is the number of restrictions and precautions that we've had to put in place social distancing masks etc and all of those help because the regular flu and covid spread in pretty much the same ways however covert spreads more easily because it can be passed on by people who don't even have symptoms in front example just look at all these super spreader events. That didn't happen before. It's not like if you went to the movie theater and just anyone had the flu. You al- suddenly got the flu. There are also differences at the macroscopic level. Like how it sticks to the particles that we exhale when we breathe or talk like cova sticks more easily so is easier to transmit of course doctors
Moderna president details plans to ramp up COVID-19 vaccine production
"Today is tuesday february second and thanks for choosing quick news daily. Once again my name is brett. Spangler and on this show. We've got everything from a cool new policy from president biden to information about a new wave of immigration to the u k to moderna are trying to solve the vaccine distribution problems. They've been having plus whatever else we have time to get to. Let's get started right away. Shall we starting with that moderna news. They've asked the fda to authorize them to fill their co vaccine vials with fifteen doses of the vaccine currently there at ten doses per vial. The problem that they're running into is the fill finish process in the manufacturing cycle. The problem with this process is that it has to be done in a septic conditions. Meaning there is no contamination. A setup with that level of quality is really hard to come by so if they can do more like phil more in the vials which they would already be doing at places that they're already certified as aseptic. It'll help increase production basically. They're saying hey we have enough room in these vials. Why not this is a problem for us because we can't get all these manufacturing plants to be aseptic currently the total production. Vaccines is about one point. Two million doses per day but according to experts speed is of the essence and we really need to be around three million doses per day. Pfizer got approved for something similar and going from five to six. So this really shouldn't be an issue in the very near future. The uk could be seeing an influx of new immigrants from hong kong on sunday. The application for british national overseas visas opened. This new visa allows people to live work and study in the uk and eventually applied to become citizens. The only requirement is that applicants have to have enough money to support themselves for six months and prove that they don't have
Biden opens 'Obamacare' window for uninsured as COVID rages
"President by sign two executive orders. That were focused on healthcare. He stressed that he wasn't making any new laws or rules. That hadn't been in place before he was just taking things back to how they were before. Trump started messing with obamacare. The i was an order instructing the department of health and human services to start a special enrollment period for people to sign up for the affordable. Care act this takes place on healthcare dot gov and it will run from february fifteenth to may fifteenth. This is so that people who lost their job in lost their health insurance insurance from that job can still sign up for health coverage people have been wanting this for a while. Because oh you know. We're in the middle of a historic health. Crisis in tons of people have lost their jobs and their health care. And i know this might shock you. But the trump administration never did the second health related. Executive order is about the so-called global gag rule also called the mexico city policy. This rule bans any non organization that provides abortion counseling or reversals worldwide. So not even just the us from getting money from the government. Obviously that's what republicans focus on but as we should all know by now places that provide these things don't just to abortions there crucial for providing low-cost healthcare and biden even said that this rule was in quote attack on women's health access end quote republicans. Always say that doing things like this will lower the number of abortions in fact it had the opposite effect and is really not even close a study done just last year which was peer reviewed. Showed that the number of abortions increased by forty percent in countries where this happened where they had organizations that were de funded because of this. That's a huge number. The study concluded that this was probably because the decrease in funding also decrease the ability for these places to provide contraception family planning and other reproductive services in really. That's one of the major sticking points that i have with republicans. They never want to pay for anything but when that lack of funding causes problems. They're the ones who complain the loudest about the problems that they created. They're always like ugh. Why do we have to pay so much for welfare. And it's just always baffling. It's like yeah. I wonder why
More Takata Airbags Recalled by Ford
"From the us and canada that have those takata airbags in them. If you're like me and thought this again you're not crazy as it turns out that saga takata has been going on since two thousand fourteen. I wasn't surprised to read in the story that they've gone bankrupt since then. So far. These airbags have caused eighteen deaths and over four hundred injuries to drivers or passengers. I put the complete list of car models covered in this recall in the episode description. But they include some models from lincoln and mazda this. Cnn article says that the owners will be notified if you're eligible or there is a website where you can check by putting in your vin number. That link is also in the episode description. If you are eligible to cost will be covered by ford meaning. It's free for you. The good news is set. The good news is that this isn't the exact same type of airbag that caused all those deaths and injuries. Apparently these driver's side air bags have a moisture absorbing material that somehow makes it safer. But honestly i'd still get switched out as soon as possible. The thought of my airbags turning into essentially a pipe bomb speaking of things. That seem like they're going on for quite some time. Last week i started

"The room may not know how to read. But i don't know who rate arrow on tuesday he blocked the senate from confirming biden's for homeland security secretary alejandro may orcas. I should clarify that. wasn't rejected. It's just that they'll have to talk about it. More as opposed to just doing a quick vote. I mean that's no big deal. It's only the third largest federal department. Actually i find it ironic. That josh wants to block someone from the homeland security position since josh hawley is one of our biggest national security threats now josh says that he blocked may orcas because he didn't have a good enough explanation for him on how he'll handle border security. Of course that was about the border with mexico because josh doesn't have a problem with borders with countries where a majority of the citizens are white along those same lines. It's pretty clear. Why out of all the nominees senator. White supremacist insurrectionist. Chose someone with a name. Ali hundred yorkies to object to. I also have to give it up for. Msnbc's brian williams because when he mentioned the same story during their inauguration coverage back on wednesday he started by calling. Holly josh insurrection. Hawley loved it. Brian does not give a crap now that he's not on the nightly news he's on cable. Tv he can say whatever the heck he wants and he's going to some more bad news for crews in hallways that seven. Democratic senators have filed an ethics complaint asking the ethics committee to look into their role in inciting that insurrection. These are notorious for not going anywhere but if it was going to happen to anyone it would realistically be ted cruz. Because al franken the former senator from minnesota has the famous quote out of everyone in congress. I like ted cruz. The most and i hate ted cruz very briefly here. Yesterday was a sad day for the social media site parlor also known as white supremacist twitter. Biden targets Trump's legacy with executive actions
"I'll be referring to joe in kamla as president and vice president more today than i said president trump ever and yes. That does seem biased. However like i said a while back. When i initially addressed in i call people by their title when they act like they're title trump never acted presidential felt like he deserved to be referred to as president. In fact. that's what i mean by. This show is more informal than regular news because even by using those titles you normalize trump. What trump did in what trump was. Were not normal. And we can't think that they were. They were awful disgraceful. And we can't ever let that happen again now under president biden and his busy. I two days in office yesterday evening. He signed fifteen executive orders in two executive actions. So what's the difference between executive orders and executive actions. Well an executive order is legally binding so it means more in executive action on the other. Hand is basically just symbolic. So let's go over those but be warned. I'm not always sure which ones are the orders. Which ones are the actions when you read about them. The news media treats them like they're interchangeable in. They're just not at all. There were about nine different categories of things that biden addressed. I in terms of masks. He signed an order requiring masks and social distancing in all federal buildings all federal property and by all federal employees and contractors and he even more masked ball signing the bill which sent to huge message other orders included stopping the united states from withdrawing from the world health organization which is a great thing for people worldwide extending a pause on student loan payments and housing foreclosures and actually even saw just now that they put student loan interest at zero percent.
Pet food recall expanded after more than 70 dogs die
"The following products made by mid western pet foods have been recalled due to contamination by toxin from mold. The specific products are called sport. Mix pro pack originals splash sports trail and none better n. u. n. n. Dry dog food and cat foods. This affects products made with corn that expire on or before july. Ninth twenty. twenty two. The problem is that they may have aflatoxin in them which sounds like a type of insurance from aflac like i mentioned aflatoxin. Actually comes from a mold called aspergillus flaps which can be found on corn grains are used to make the food if your pet ingest enough of this it can cause general sickness and or death but the thing that's almost carriers that it can cause liver damage without your pet showing any symptoms if they do show symptoms wants to look for our sluggishness loss of appetite vomiting jaundice and diarrhea. It's no joke. Seventy dogs have died so far and eighty have become ill from the products. Strangely note illness yet has been reported in humans or cats. But obviously you don't wanna chance it with your cat and the fda still recommends washing your hands after handling pet food at any time pet food of any kind not just stuff that has athletic toxin in
Biden names women to key economic and communication roles
"Biden. Didn't stop over the weekend. And he added people to his communications team. Cape battlefield will serve as the white house communications director after she was his campaign calms director. So shifting over there jen. Psaki will serve as press secretary. Andy might recognize that name from her time on obama's comms team as the director. According to yahoo news. This means that four of the seven top communication roles at the white house will be filled by women of color. And it's the first time that the entire senior white house. Communications team will be entirely made of
Ken Jennings to be First Interim Host of "Jeopardy!"
"Even more so since she's seventy four so she really had to rise to the top. During a time. When the finance field was so heavily dominated by the men finishing up with some relevant entertainment news. I think jeopardy producers announced that ken jennings will be the first interim host on jeopardy when they restart production on monday. Jennings is the guy who won seventy four games in a row and was also the winner of the greatest of all time competition that they had last year in executive producers said that quote by bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers end quote. So it sounds like they're going to be doing these guest host for a little bit at least until the name a fulltime host which they say they will. But i really don't see why they don't just make ken jennings like the full time host. It would make sense. Maybe he doesn't want it. But i think it should be someone like that. Who's not necessarily well known. Like i don't want some celebrity comedian or something like that to to it like Steve harvey and michael stray hand who seemingly host everything. Not someone like that it. It has to be someone who fits but it's really hard to replace it when the show's had basically one host for thirty seven years. That's a bit much. At the tall task they do still have unaired episodes with alex trebek's that he filmed before he died. So they'll continue to air those. They have enough to get through the week of january fourth. So
Trump ousts Homeland Security cyber chief Chris Krebs, who called election secure
"Let's talk about chris. Crabs the name that lit up social media last night even though was completely unsurprising. He's a former microsoft executive end until last night he's been leading homeland. Security's cybersecurity and infrastructure agency usually called cisa cisa was formed after twenty sixteen for obvious reasons to help strengthen our voting systems protect them from cyber attacks last week after trump kept bringing up this conspiracy theory about the voting machines changing his votes to biden votes. Crabs put out a statement that said that. This was the most secure election that we've had in that there was no evidence of any voting system deleting losing or changing votes. They were not compromised. He said well. You can't speak the truth in the trump administration so he was unceremoniously fired last night in a tweet because of course he was but he's been expecting to be fired. Trump here is just like someone really immature trying to play chess and when they lose right before they lose it. Just shovel the pieces off the board and flip over the board. That's what he's doing. He's just taking his anger out on one. I said yesterday that he's going through the stages of grief on twitter but actually his only stage might be anger and sure if he has all the stages of grief this was really a dumb move because trump was blocking crabs from speaking to the biden transition team. Now that he's fired. Trump has no control over him. So krebs can tell the biden team. Anything that isn't classified materials and i guess my question would be to anyone who's still working in the administration like who hasn't been fired. What's stopping you from talking to biden like it's not protocol but you know what are they gonna do. I guess we have to play by the rules if we want others to do so but at the same time it's literally life and death in there just playing games to appease a toddler so honestly just talked to biden
Tyson suspends plant managers amid virus betting claim
"Is just getting old and it's getting more and more dangerous by the day and that's letting trump had this fantasy of saying that he still won the election. Somehow the first example here is a story. I talked about yesterday. The two republican election canvassing board members in wayne county michigan and. They're now trying to take back their votes to approve the certification so initially they voted no than yes and now. They're trying to say no again. They got a call from trump. On tuesday night after the meeting thanking them for their support and lo and behold on wednesday they suddenly wanted to take back their approval their reasoning. They were bullied. I'm not joking quote after the vote. The public comment period began in dozens of people. Made personal remarks against me and mr hartman. The comments made accusations of racism and threatened me and members of my family. The public comment continued for over two hours. And i felt pressured to continue the meeting without a break and quote. Here's the translation I'm a racist and people realize the truth and called me a racist and now i'm sad also. I didn't ask for a break boo freakin. Who isn't it kind of weird that the people who loved to say f your feelings and call liberals snowflakes are actually the most fragile people. It's ridiculous to think that these people are the tough ones. They always act like they're the victims. I haven't mentioned these people's names yet so here they are monica. Palmer and william hartman. Who goes by bill. You can find them on twitter as at monica s palmer and at hartman dude and hartman has two ends. Do with that information what you will. But no threats of highlands it
COVID-19 reinfection 'highly unlikely' for at least six months, Oxford study says
"New study finds that people may be protected against the virus for months even years but a warning. The study that i'm referencing here hasn't been peer reviewed just yet but it is the longest and most comprehensive done to date. It looks fairly solid to me. But you know i'm not really scientists. The study comes from the la hoya institute of immunology and took place over several months. It recruited one hundred and eighty five people ranging in age from nineteen to eighty one. These people have recovered from covid and most had mild symptoms not requiring hospitalization. Thirty eight of them donated blood samples over the time span of several months. Now before i go forward. Let's remind ourselves how our bodies fight infections. They have some immune cells. The first is a t. cell which kills other infected cells and be sounds that make more antibodies as needed. And of course the antibodies themselves. This study found that. Antibodies were fairly durable. They showed modest declines six to eight months after infection but the amount that was found in each of the volunteers was dramatically different. So it's hard to say about that. The t. cells on the other hand only showed slight decay in the be cells actually increased which researchers can't explain. And that might be if you're looking at this unbiased. Might be a reason for concern so as to keep an eye on that so big picture when people are infected again with the virus your immune system recognizes it and kills it. The good thing about covid is that it's very slow to start doing real damage so your immune system has plenty of time to catch up and produce these cells and antibodies which helps in providing long-term immunity. This potentially means that we will not have to vaccinate against this every single year. Like a flu shot. This could be a one and done scenario. Which would be amazing. Like i mentioned in another story cova dues mutating very slowly compared to the common cold which is actually another corona virus. This low mutation could be helping this theory and it could make vaccines much more. Effective story also brings up. Who had sars are still carrying immune cells and then outbreak was seventeen years ago. Sars had a death rate of ten percent pretty much across the board across all ages. Covert is still under about one percent overall depending on the country of course in the quality of medical care. Another thing from a previous show. If you'll remember a while ago. I mentioned that some south korean guy was the first confirmed reinfection of covid. Which seems like it might go against this story. Well maybe his immune system was just getting ready to kill it again when he tested positive but these researchers say that the amount of virus that people are exposed to also matters so if they didn't get a huge viral load they may not be able to produce the same amount of antibodies and immune cells however with vaccine that variables taken out. Everyone gets enough to produce the antibodies and immune cells that are required so again. This could be a game changer. And really good news especially for a

"Today's monday october. Twenty sixth and mercifully. We just eight days away from election day. That said it's probably more likely than not that we won't know a winner until after that date hopefully not too far after but it's still important to remind ourselves of that so we can prepare ourselves for that journey or that fight. Whatever it may come to today we have a couple of things to get to including a deep dive on the voting numbers. So far the demographics of the people who have voted. And what it means. And it's definitely going to be the longest segment i've ever done. But i think you'll find that it's worth it. Also we'll get to more important. Endorsements for joe biden from big names in pop culture trump's dumbest moments from the weekend and the return of a segment. We have almost every day now but first ladies and gentlemen let me tell you about something crazy. That was brought to my attention this weekend by one of you loyal listeners. Apparently someone thinks my instagram account is worthy of copycat. No i'm not going to give the person anymore of the attention. They so crave. But i will say that i will never personally message and ask for money or anything like that. I haven't gotten any messages saying that. This copycat is doing that yet. But i just wanted to make that abundantly clear in case that starts. I'm not really sure why this person shows my account. The show isn't particularly famous. I'm sorry to say but if you ever see this copycat or another one. Please reported on whatever social media platform. You're on and then let me know about it as well if you could. Lastly know that. I will always always protect the brand of quick news daily. We'll start the actual news with a quick update early in mail in voting. So far democrats are doing what we need to do. Putting pressure on republicans. that said. there's not quite enough year for me to say that this thing is over. The amazing news is that they have already been more votes cast than the total number of early in mail in votes in two thousand sixteen. Not just at the same time that year. Like all the early and mail in ballots from that year and we still have eight days to go as of sunday. Democrats have cast fifty one percent of the ballots will republicans have cast thirty one percent. The republicans have made it closer in the past ten days but analysts are still saying that they have their work. Cut out for them also. That stat is a bit misleading because it shows what part of the registered with but not who they support from what. I'm hearing from the folks. At the lincoln project. Their polling indicates that about eight to twelve percent of republicans are expected to actually vote for joe biden. This also doesn't tell us anything about independent voters who obviously make up a good chunk of these votes probably fifteen percent. If i guess polling suggests that they'll break slightly in biden's favor which is the exact opposite of what happened last time if biden simply gets those voters this things over but again we all have. Ptsd from two thousand sixteen. So don't pay attention to the polls act. Like joe biden is ten points behind getting a little more specific in florida. Five hundred ninety six thousand more democrats have voted by mail than republicans so that is definitely an advantage however two hundred thirty thousand more. Republicans voted early in person. So they've got that in nevada. Similar story democrats have outvoted republicans by mail by ninety seven thousand five hundred as of sunday but republicans have outvoted democrats by forty two thousand six hundred in person. Those numbers do make me feel better but we have to make sure that those aren't all of our votes that more voters continued to turn out through election day. Another interesting thing. I learned from the lincoln project. Podcast is that they're using psychological tactics against trump voters on social media whenever bad pulls come out for trump which is honestly like two three times a week. At this point they usually re tweet or share the polls with a caption total collapse. They also do this when bad news comes out about the trump campaign and their whole goal with this is to depress trump voters. The group's thinking is that if it seems like trump has no chance of winning or it's not very likely his voters are less likely to wait in these long lines. Especially if there's bad weather. I mean if i was a democratic voter and i lived in arkansas. I wouldn't stand out there in the rain or something because i know joe biden isn't going to win arkansas. Now obviously and be smart enough to get a mailing or absentee ballots so that i could vote. Somehow but since trump has been tweeting that male and votes are fraud and be trusted. That's what his supporters believe. He needs a huge turnout on election. Day and as read. Gale and of the lincoln project said on friday. He better hope that it's sixty five degrees in sunny in every swing state because he needs that devotion from his supporters. That's not to say he won't get it though. Nate silver at five thirty eight. Who's like a statistical genius has the probability of a biden win at eighty seven percent which is basically about as high as it could be but the scary part is that that means trump still has a thirteen percent chance of winning. Thanks to the electoral college. Fivethirtyeight gave trump the highest probability of winning back in two thousand sixteen compared to the new york times in basically every other site and that was only a nineteen percent chance so he's technically doing worse but there are a ton of new voters this year and if that group is made up of a lot of white guys who didn't go to college that's the worst case scenario and it's why we can't rest until joe biden is declared the winner by the electoral college. The good endorsement news for biden keeps rolling in and at this rate it's like the vendors coming out of the portal and teaming up to thanos and game. These endorsers are the biggest names in pop culture and this weekend michael. Keaton was one celebrity to endorse biden. Let's take a listen. hi i'm michael keaton. Michael keaton douglas actually from pittsburgh western pennsylvania and can act like you. Don't wanna listen to me. I wouldn't blame you. But let's be honest frigging batman. This pandemic occurred in the current occupant of the white house. Had the information could save lives and helped notches pennsylvania's but people all across this country didn't happen because sliding nabet small businessmen and women suffered as a result. U.S. Blames Iran For Threatening Election Emails, Says Russia May Interfere Too
"In a surprise press conference the Director of National Intelligence came to warn US quote unquote that there's election interference happening the main culprits are Russia of course in. Iran. We, know more about Iran and we know they've been sending threatening emails to people while posing as the proud boys the racist far right group these emails say that they have your info in that. If you don't vote for trump, they'll find you and hurt you these went out to voters mainly in Florida in somehow deny Ratcliffe said that they were designed to hurt trump yeah. You're going to have to help me out with that logic emails from the proud boys that threaten harm. If you don't vote trump are supposed to be hurting trump I mean it's like they say many people don't actually know this. The Pearl Harbor was actually designed to hurt Japan. Shocking right I mean that's what they don't teach you in school. Of course that's not true. This logic makes no sense. Thankfully FBI director. Christopher. Ray was also at the press conference and he had this to say the FBI is the primary agency responsible for investigating malicious activity against election infrastructure maligned foreign influence operations and election related crimes like voter fraud and voter suppression or intimidation, and that's exactly what we've been doing. At the B. I. Working closely with our intelligence community partners, as well as our other federal state and local partners to share information, bolster, security, and identify and disrupt any threats. We are not going to tolerate foreign interference in our elections or any criminal activity that threatens the sanctity of your vote or undermine public confidence in the outcome of the election. When we see indications of foreign interference or federal election crimes, we're going to aggressively investigate and work with our partners to quickly take appropriate action. We're also coordinating with the private sector both technology and social media companies to make sure that their platforms aren't used by foreign adversaries to spread disinformation and propaganda. We've been working for years as a community to build resilience in our election infrastructure and today that infrastructure remains resilient. You should be confident that your vote counts. Early unverified claims to the contrary should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism. We encourage everyone to seek election and voting information from reliable sources namely your state. Election officials. And to be thoughtful, careful, discerning consumers of information online. And if you suspect criminal activity, we ask that you report that information to your local FBI field office.

"Fantastic a definitely a nice change of pace but Yes. Thank you all for listening and we'll see on the next episode. Hello again. Everyone wasn't that fun yesterday. I really can't say enough good things about jail. He's not only hilarious. He's just a really down to earth good guy. I thought he was just going to come in to fifteen minute thing and leave. But what actually ended up happening was we talked for about forty minutes on camera. And then about fifteen to twenty off camera and it was during his lunch break. But that's just who he is and I really can't thank him enough for coming on the show. That was a lot of fun. It's already one of the most popular episodes of Quick News daily. I don't think anyone really. Thinks that's a surprise but hey, it's good that it worked. I'm just bundled at my microphone wasn't plugged in here. I am telling you guys that I'm taking the day off I'm GonNa, make sure that everything is set upright sound wise technology wise and then boom I just forget to plug in one thing. The good news is that you could still pretty much understand me and you could hear jail perfectly in east the star the show. So that worked out just that was fine. So. That's what really counts. Also my first crack at interviewing someone. So I wish I could have a few more of his setups. But hopefully, J. L. is listening and he'll come back and I'll get those kings worked out the second time around about an. Open invitation for sure. anyways, as for the show today, I'll revisit some of the key points of the debate, the economy and the corona virus. Let's get caught up. For the debate I think Biden did a really good job especially when he looked straight at the camera and started addressing us the voters the American people. Whereas if you looked at trump, he was just staring down by the entire time or he was staring down. Chris Wallace and then he was making faces like Jim from the office when walls would scold them like a little kid because that's what he was. He was just interrupting. Just trying to make a mess of things I thought Biden did a really good job prosecuting the case against trump in regards to covert and his response response, and let's take a look at one of those. I WANNA. Make sure. Your Clothes I. I WanNa, make a resident. Can You let them finish? Sir So he doesn't know how to do that. He has. You pick a be suppressed guy the wrong night a wrong times could you use the word smart? You graduated either the lowest.

"Are there any this is off topic but are there any comedians you really have your on maybe some that are known by a two letter first name. Is there someone who does the best impression of you? Well there's Nobody really I mean it's not Alec Baldwin I can tell you that is. Not too good at it, but there is a failed comedian. Okay. Who Basically? Had No career his career was over okay. It never even got started. It was sort of like you know he wasn't even a has been he was like a neighbor was. And everybody was saying, Oh, Mr President Sir you know they'll call me sir. Mr President Sir you should see sky j-l whatever his last name is I don't know and I don't want to know. and. I watched it and I said this guy is sort of. One of the worst things that he doesn't sound the guy sent nothing likely he sounded nothing I asked if I needed a strong hearing test and then Dr Ronnie, Jackson said, sir, you have the greatest hearing of any human being that's ever lived. So I said okay. So it's not my hearing because I very powerful hearing. And then I said this guy was doing a great impression and it was sort of a total disaster. It was a disgrace and I almost felt bad for him because. Somebody. was lying to him so. You know it's definitely not the J. L. character that people have been talking about I think he's of the worst. Would put my money on jail Copan the amazing comedian and trump impressionist who is the first ever guest on Quick News daily. Jail. Thank you so much for joining us. That was incredible. Oh thank you. Yeah I just got here. He just walked out of the room by Mr. President. Apache. Amazing. Well. Thank you so much for joining us and man what a what a debate last night. I'm believable. It was even by trump standards..

"Big entertainment news of the day is something I'm watching closely. It is about Zack Snyder's Justice League. It is a very long story. But essentially Box league came up in 2017, Zack Snyder had to step away really late in the game though because of a family tragedy his daughter committed suicide. So he stepped away late in the game. Joss Whedon took over and basically the movie flopped there was a lot of finger-pointing as to why that happened. But Zack Snyder is a really really just good genuine guy. He was never doing any of the finger pointing out. He was a good company guy, but he kept dropping these hints that there was most of his movie already completed the original story was that we didn't had to come in and reshoot a lot of stuff and do a lot of rewrites and then it would just really wasn't sex movie anymore that Zacks portion was not useable but it turns out Zach was right the entire time there was almost an entire like eighty percent of the movie wage. Done. So they announce that next year on HBO max. They're releasing Zack Snyder's Justice League and originally they were saying no you're just going to finish up the rest of the shots off the rest of animation and like yeah the CGI, but now it was just announced that they will be doing reshoots in October. Apparently, they're going to be shelling out about seventy million dollars for this month and that's quite a jump to go from zero to seventy million. I mean Joker that movie was made for fifty million. So yeah, this is definitely a big investment on Warner Brothers part. I have some questions about why I'm doing it though currently there in sort of a dispute about Ray Fisher who played Cyborg in the movie is alleging some hostile work environment issues or I should say against them and they're going back and forth on that. I'm not really sure if this is oh we want to make Justice League this good solid movie or are they trying to be the nice guys in the field of public radio? Shins tough to say but hey, if we get to see Zach's full vision, I'm all for it. But by the way, I should say the reshoots are for Henry Cavill as Superman Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman Ben Affleck as Batman and allegedly Ray Fisher as cyborg. All right, that'll do it for me here today. Remember if you like the show leave us a review wherever you listening so that more people can find quick News Daily. It really does help. "Well, just a couple of days after mentioning him good friend of the show Michael Caputo is once again back under fire political is reporting that yesterday he held an emergency staff meaning to address rumors that have been going on around to my guess but mostly that disturbing facebook live video, he posted over the weekend and then deleted his account in the video. He claims a lot of stuff but let's take a listen to just a little bit. Whether as the Buffalo News or the New York Times or The Wall Street Journal or or any of these media outlets? I'm under siege. It's been going on for couple? Of Weeks. And? I don't care. Because I have the president's support I know that because he's toity some. Other after me for two reasons and one, a hybrid I want to well, I want to tell you what they are. So you understand. And you understand. That Might go anywhere. They're gonNA. Have to kill me. And unfortunately, I think that's where this is going. Partisan. Democrats. Conjugal media. And the scientists, the deep state scientists. Want America's sick through November. They cannot afford for us to have any good news for November because they're already losing. Donald trump ranked. Now, if you election were held, today would win. Okay. So He's claiming that he might take a medical leave sort of a a convenient way to get out of their political said that he's already on thin ice with trump and that was before the facebook live thing. So. If I had to put money on it I would bet that he's going to be taking a medical leave here pretty quickly. A former HHS official also told politico that Caputo has long complained of the stress caused by having been mentioned in these special counsel as investigation on Russian interference in the two thousand, sixteen election. It. Also says Caputo. Speeded anonymous White House criticism about his mental health saying that some of his comments had been taken out of context in concluded the meeting by encouraging his staff to listen to music by the grateful dead. Okay. All right. So That sounds like a a normal person who is completely in mentally all there right? That doesn't sound like anyone who in have mental health issues. Just force it does now here's where we have two separate things or at least I'm going to. If he truly has these mental health problems he really needs to go get them checked out. He needs to leave his position and never come back. And, I don't ever WANNA. Make Fun of someone for having mental health issues because you just never know you never know what's going on with someone. That said if his mental health issue is that he's annoyed in paranoid of being investigated because he was a criminal in worked with the Russian government during two thousand sixteen. Which I think it's pretty clear that everyone did I mean he's an associate of Roger Stone who is indicted in convicted on seven felonies. Even though he got his sentence commuted and he's out spewing lies again because that's just to Roger Stone is Roger Stone is still a felon. So again, if his mental health issues is just paranoia because he's a criminal. In, criminals usually get investigated. I got no love lost form but man, if he truly believes what he's saying in those facebook videos, he really does have problems. This disturbing if true story is the one about an ice detention center in Georgia where one doctor there is accused of performing mass hysterectomies on these immigrants being held there as well as refusing to test detainees for covid nineteen and shredding medical records. This is a sort of whistleblower complaint. It's coming from a nurse who works at that facility. It's the Irwin County detention center again in Georgia. Apparently, in the complaint, she says that the gynecologist is called quote the uterus collector and was performing quote mass hysterectomies and. Now it's still early in the story and maybe by the end of the day to day more, we'll have come out about it because even yesterday some of the bigger networks starting to pick up on it. So we'll be able to see if there's more here. If. Substantial truth to it. But. But yeah. This is one to watch closely because earlier in June when trump was gassing peaceful protesters, it was like living in the V for vendetta world. Now, if this is true, it's like the handmaid's tale. So it's like the crossover, you would never want like V for vendetta in handmaid's tale. So like what H. for handmaid's Tale I don't know but it's like the worst of both worlds, both of those stories are back in the eighties. So at that time you like, okay, these are a little bit extreme I don't think this could ever happen. Maybe the ideas are there, but it would never happen in twenty twenty s like MSN. A beer. So this is one story that I'll be watching closely and updating you on as we hear more and more either evidence or. Evidence to disprove. A quick update to the Florida polling problems that Biden had supposedly as well as the Bloomberg cash infusion in the state. The good news about those polls coming out early is that everyone sort of got not even sort of everyone got freaked out about them. So now resources are absolutely pouring into Florida and Mike Madrid. One of the founders of the Lincoln Project WHO's in charge of political operations for them confirmed yesterday that they will indeed. Be Moving into Florida as well. Moving some of their operations, some of their ads I saw the already released a Spanish language one just yesterday I think. So now they're even joining the fight. Obviously, that's really good news and thank goodness that this came out. So early that everyone's sort of had time to course correct in adjust tuned focused there is on. Florida. Because like I said, it's all about Florida and trump doesn't get Florida. Good night. Just another sign of the times and what apparels position were actually in the scientific American, has broken with its tradition not endorsing anyone for president in their one, hundred, seventy, five year history. The Scientific American has never endorsed anyone for president, but they broke that rule yesterday and they endorsed Joe Biden citing the fact that trump is completely ignored all the science on climate change as well as openly admitted to ignoring the science on Corona virus to help his reelection chances. Man If even the scientists are getting involved you know we're in a really really tough spot as a country. Lastly here the trump townhall that took place on ABC last night it was moderated by George Stephanopoulos into win about as well as you thought, might have trump constantly lying sometimes the voters actually. Back, checking them in real time, which was nice. Here's one of the highlights the wearing of masks has proven to. Lessen it spread of covid. Why don't you support a mandate from national mask-wearing?.

Bloomberg Comes Up Big with $100M Cash Infusion in Florida
"So this was another big story from over the weekend was the announcement by Mike Bloomberg that he's going to spend at least one hundred, million dollars in the state of Florida to help Joe Biden win the state. This Washington Post story says that Bloomberg made the decision last week after seeing those numbers on Florida in seeing that Oh may be Biden's a little underperforming there. It's a little closer than we thought official. Voting starts on September twenty fourth in Florida. So the need to inject real capital in that state quickly is an urgent need. This is Bloomberg Adviser Kevin Cheeky he continues Mike believes that by investing in Florida, it will allow campaign resources in other democratic resources to be used in other states in particular the state of Pennsylvania. So there was always this fear of, Oh, where's Bloomberg's money? He got to speak at the convention, but he's not gonNA fork any over even after he said, he made this promise to keep his campaign employed in put all this money into help be trump. Personally, I was really never worried by didn't didn't really come after Mike to personally at least for too long also because they were both from New York I'm sure trump gave Bloomberg his fair share of grief during the couple of terms that Mike was the mayor of New York. City. You can tell when Bloomberg speaks whenever he goes on TV his ads were also pretty devastating, but you can just feel the vitriol contempt for Donald Trump Mike. Bloomberg is obviously a big money guy. You know he's a billionaire but even he trust Joe Biden more than Donald Trump So that should really be a warning to everyone and as Rick. Wilson always says Mike Bloomberg has more money in his couch cushions than Donald Trump has at all I think alluding to the fact that Donald Donaldson, shady loans, and he's probably not even a billionaire really when you get down to went off topic but thank goodness that is a breath of fresh air some good news for Joe Biden on the money side to with an even better August and by the way, the Biden campaign pointed out that since Calvin Coolidge in nineteen, twenty four, no Republican has won if they don't win Florida. And this year, it really is all about Florida because of trump doesn't get that one he's got to pick up a couple from either Minnesota Wisconsin Michigan Pennsylvania Arizona in those are looking shaky I mean that's really really generous because he's behind in all of them. So He needs Florida to have any chance and that's a little note to yourself if you're watching. On election night tour as the votes come in the days after in the mail. Well, we're GONNA know pretty quickly because Florida starts counting there's early. So we'll know on election night mostly with the vote is going to be. So a Florida starts going Biden were going to be in really good shape. That's when you know. Okay we might have this one.

So he can get re elected might not care about panicked people. It's actually impossible for a narcissist narcissistic care about or even comprehend other people's feelings. "So I think those are really all the specifics I wanna get into so far all that I can really feel qualified to talk about at this point. But basically, if you like Spiderman for the PS four, the game that came out. Gosh two years ago. Now you really GonNa like this game as well. The graphics do look really similar like almost identical that controls almost identical. So that's really nice. It is Super Fund so far especially going back to my childhood I kind of grew up with the Hulk I. So it is just a blast stealing GEIS's the hulk in just really beating the crap out of him. Love that aspect of it it's a superfund game I like playing his all the characters. The story intriguing enough so far even though it is fighting a lot of robots, there are still humans that fight in. Villains pulling the strings. And I really do want to see the vendors all back together, and then you know just fighting alongside each other that's GonNa be a blast. Some the textures a bit iffy. The frame rates bit iffy but it's so early in the release said I really don't want to get into that too much because another one of my favorite games days gone. Really had a problem with frame rates in the early weeks, and eventually through some patches, they really got that lockdown. Basically, you wouldn't notice it unless someone pointed it out to you. So that's kind of what I think will happen here. Eventually I think it's probably just hard to integrate all of these heroes especially since you can play all of them. In sort of have them on the screen at the same time as well as making them a or CPU because if you play alone, don't try to match make online or anything like that. You still get the other heroes alongside of you. So they have to code in all of that decision making and try to make them as close to a regular human playing as possible. So I imagine that's gotta be tough as well. Overall go by this thing at least rented. But give it a shot somehow because they really did a lot of work into this. And it is fun. It is great to have all of the avengers playable. And it really made me want to go back and watch the movies again. So that's great. Definitely worthwhile so far. In any case thanks for listening. "Well Hey there everyone, and welcome to this way too early review of Marvel's avengers. The new game that is out now this was one I've been waiting for a long time and obviously with everything that's happened it turned out to be even longer since it got delayed from its supposed spring release. But I have to say, it looks like the weight will be worth it. Now again, I am going to preface this by saying this is way too early. I'm only about thirty thirty, three percent of the way through the main campaign in there's just so much to do. So take it with a grain of salt, but that's why I'm saying it's way too early the spoiler free version is go out and try it seems like it'll be a fun time. There's a lot of content in there so I'm lucky in that so far. But from here on out, I'm just going to give a spoiler warning because it's Kinda hard to give impressions without it. So here we go. First of all, some issues I have with it are performance related. It's much better than it was in the Beta, but there are still some frame rate issues especially as you add in more and more heroes to the mix, I guess I've noticed the frame rate does get pretty choppy and it is distracting at times. So be on the lookout for that I'm sure that something that they're looking at to patch and one of these early you know updates but just keep that in mind. The second thing is I'm not sure about some of the textures of some the character models. The good thing is pretty much all the heroes look phenomenal. And the couple of main villains they also look good but. When you get to the edey sequence, which is basically the prolong. Thor looks a bit sketchy although again better than in the Beta same for taskmaster but his mask still a little iffy to me and the masks of his goons. I'm not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. But those look really sketchy like I'm talking like ps three graphics you know again, I'm hoping that's another thing that they patch in one of these early updates. Story. Wise I think it's an intriguing story. A really has me wondering what's going to come next. How does this all fit together? How do we get all of the heroes back because obviously you're not gonNA. Have all this captain America stuff and he's just dead and gone for good. It seems like that's pretty much a given that he's GonNa come back. So I'm just wondering how that comes in why he's been gone for. So long just from a behind the scenes perspective I think it's sort of a bold choice to go with such a new character to be sort of the main character or certainly the one that we follow the most for the first hour of the. I'm talking about Kamala Khan, which by the way is terrible timing because we've just spent all this time learning that Kamala Harris is common law, and then now this is Kamala. So really bad timing just in that aspect because. That took a while to get through to some people. Any case, a Newark character I actually hadn't heard before this game in the voice acting seems great in the character seems like it's got some good backstory especially with their family but. I don't know I hate saying it, but I don't know how I feel about the character overall and that's just a me thing because she could become the breakout star of the whole thing. But just from my perspective was candidate for the classic you know Avengers Black Widow Captain America iron man Thor Hulk. That's why I was hoping to play more as but we'll see how this turns out her powers are cool. I can definitely see how they're gonNA Incorporate Spiderman in it because her swinging with the arms is very reminiscent to Spiderman. Same thing for black widows zip-line. But again, kind of risky move to play with that new character for so long especially during that golden hour the first hour where you're really trying to hook people. But I suppose that's what you WanNa do if you're trying to introduce this new character Another thing about that golden hour is it seems like there are a lot of fighting tutorials. They just show you this button does this you have to do this Combo? They teach that maybe two or three times. But there's almost nothing unlike the different skills you can upgrade or upgrade with your gear like valor or proficiency or resilience. There's just really almost nothing about that and I get that you can read about it. If you go in deeper and there's like we can get more info about it but I just think that just sort of be more out front in ditch may be one of the tutorials because again is like two or three. The last thing I'll say about it story wise is it's kind of a bold choice to go again with aim being the main villain, the main organization you have to fight against. Maybe, it's just by luck and nobody else remember this but I was playing Ironman to last year sometime in that sexually what got me interested in this game. But in that Ironman to game you have to play against. And all these. In all of these, you know spider bots, those mega bonds even in these remote canyons or just remote places that looks like Utah Landscape in this one. and. It just feels really similar and kind of like a PS three game in that aspect. There are humans in this one. There are like human agents, human bad guys that you have to go against. So that does add something but the whole thing with the robots and being in the desert, it feels a little. A little reminiscent pan. A little too close. But opt to see if that changes as the story goes on what other characters we start bringing.
Trump reportedly called service members "losers" and "suckers"
"Again in the Atlantic and it sets the scene all the way back in two thousand eighteen when trump was in. Paris he was supposed to visit a cemetery for soldiers who died in war and if you'll remember he didn't actually end up going because he said the helicopter couldn't fly because it was raining. And there was a big deal about that obviously because he was afraid of a little rain. He also tried to claim that the secret service wouldn't drive but Jeffrey Goldberg says neither claim was true. In reality he says trump rejected the idea of visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain and because he did not believe it was important honor American war dead in that is according to four people with firsthand knowledge of discussion that day. He goes on to say in a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit. Trump said quote why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers. It continues in a separate conversation on the same trip trump referred to more than eighteen hundred marines who lost their lives at Bellawood as quote suckers for getting killed. Bellawood was apparently consequential battle in American history I don't remember it off the top of my head, but I'm just reading what's in the article here. And it says that in that same trip talking about world war. One trump asked who are the good guys in this war? He also said that he didn't understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the allies. Now you'll remember he said this about John McCain back in two thousand fifteen but lost. So I, never liked him as much after that because I don't like interest. But but Frank Franklin. We get to He. He's war hero. He's a war. He's a war hero presumes capture. I like people that weren't captured. Okay. I hate to. The article says that trump had remained fixated on McCain in that when he died back in August twenty, eighteen trump told his senior staff this time according to three sources with direct knowledge of quote we going to support that losers funeral end quote and that he became furious when he saw flags lowered to half-staff saying quote what the F. Are we doing that for guy was a f Ing Loser The White House denies this whole report by the way saying, then the Anti Yadda trump's supported the military more than any president. The article continues according to sources with knowledge of the president's views. He seems to genuinely not understand why Americans treat former prisoners of war with respect. Nor does he understand why pilots who are shot down in combat are honored by the military on at least two occasions since becoming president according to three sources with direct knowledge of his views trump referred to former president George h.w Bush as a quote loser for being shot down by the Japanese. This is where it starts to really get cruel on memorial day twenty, seventeen trump went with then department of Homeland Security Secretary John, Kelly to Arlington Cemetery. The article says the two men were set to visit section sixty, the fourteen acre area of the cemetery that it is burial ground for those killed in America's most recent wars. Kelly son Robert is buried in section sixty according to sources with knowledge of this visit trump while standing by Robert Kelly's grave turned directly to John Kelly in said quote I don't get it what was in it for them. Kelly said he originally thought trump was making a ham handed reference to these selflessness of America's all volunteer force. But later he came to realize that trump simply does not understand non transactional life choices. This is coming from one of Kelly's friends who Goldberg says a retired four. Star General. This friend says quote he can't fathom the idea of doing something for someone other than himself. He just thinks that anyone who does anything when there's no direct personal gain to be had is a sucker. There's no money in serving the nation trump can't imagine anyone else's pain. That's why he would say this to the father of a fallen marine on Memorial Day in the cemetery where he's buried. It goes on to talk about how trump is basically used the military as props how he thinks they answer only to not the constitution as evidenced by his gassing of peaceful protesters in officer who had firsthand knowledge of trump's views says quote. He has a lot of fear. He doesn't see the heroism in fighting and then Goldberg says several observers told me that trump is deeply anxious about dying or being disfigured in this worry manifests itself as disgust for those who have suffered. Than it tells another story about how trump falsely claimed he called quote virtually all of the family members of service members who had died during his term, and then when family started speaking out and saying, no, you didn't trump had to begin rush shipping condolences to those families. Felt last paragraph ends on, which is actually pretty profound. I didn't expect you know something. So big to be saved for the end I thought would be the author's own thoughts but it says in a twenty eighteen White House planning meeting for such an event trump asked to staff not to include wounded veterans on grounds that spectators would feel uncomfortable in the presence of amputees quote nobody wants to see that end quote. I think to me the details really do add credibility and he says he's talking to three or four sources all the time. But it got really interesting here when the Associated Press confirmed his sources essentially this tweet from James Laporta an investigative reporter former marine infantryman. Now, obviously, with the Associated Press, the port a tweeted out yesterday a senior Defense Department official I just spoke with confirmed this story by Jeffrey. Goldberg in its entirety especially the graphs about late senator, John McCain and former Marine General John Kelly president. Donald Trump's former chief of staff. So before that, you had people trying to push out, wouldn't say this. Of course, he didn't say this this is false. Trump. Himself devoted three tweets to claiming that was just a hoax made up by the media who are hungry to You know and his political career. But yeah, that was definitely a big shock when she came out in essentially confirmed most of the story. Republicans are doing their usual remaining silent or denying that it's still true. and. I just don't know how you could say it's not true. He said this in public but. I never liked him as much after that because I don't like. It was right out there and this other tweet from just some random twitter account but it made me think the commander in chief was found guilty stealing money from kids. Cancer charity mocks disabled reporters, gases, protesters for photo ops over twenty thousand lies kills one hundred, ninety, thousand Americans violate civil rights, incites violence calls, fallen soldiers, losers, and suckers. Yeah I guess if you put it against everything, we know about trump name calling certainly seems to be in his wheelhouse. Mentioned surprised that this came to be a big story

"Right folks. That's all I got for you here today I do want WanNa talk a little bit about a new feature I added to the show description. The show notes essentially I just made a survey that I'm pretty much never gonNA end again through Google forms and it allows you to give instant feedback to me. So in this google form, it's anonymous. Again, you can write the show one to five one being will don't do that again five being great keep doing that. Or like a three and saying you know room for improvement I put in a little space for you to comment you know good or bad what she thought underneath the rating of course, and then there's also just a space for what episode you're listening to. Because you know you might not listen to episode on the day at airs. And says it never ends. So if you could just put the episode title in that question or at least get close if you don't copy and paste it out, really appreciate that just. So I know obviously what I did on that day and what exactly did on that day that wasn't necessarily popular or on the flip side was so great you had to comment about it either way I thought a cool feature to get more participation feel like your voice would be heard just always want to leave the door open open door policy, and of course, obviously, if you'd just rather lever review on. pod chaser or apple podcasts I put those links in there as well. See can absolutely do that. You don't have to review it twice unless you have something that you would specifically like media here I guess in private because you know those other of us are more public but I read them either way. So if you have feedback to give doesn't really matter where you give it to me, I'll just be looking in all the usual sites for it and trying to make the show better otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Biden shatters record with $364.5 million haul in August
"Eye catching news is the fundraising numbers that Biden is reporting for the month of August according to the new. York Times his campaign received more than hundred sixty, million dollars for the entire month, which would blow pass Barack Obama's previous record set in two thousand eight. The months numbers were helped by two huge events, the Democratic convention, which is Essentially A. Four, night commercial or telethon, and then announcing Comma Harris has his choice for VP, which apparently led to the campaign racing forty, eight million dollars in the forty eight hours after the announcement not to be outdone trump in the RNC said they raised about seventy, six, million dollars during last week's convention whereas Biden raised seventy million during the Democrat convention. But this huge month from Joe definitely cut into trump's fundraising

"We can't act like that's the same as an unarmed black man getting shot in the back at point blank range seven times or the life getting slowly choked out of a black man by a knee on his neck for eight minutes and forty six seconds. You might feel like we're always getting attacked these days for being the bad guys. But look at every single one of those cops who killed unarmed black men and decide if we aren't the bad guys or maybe you're afraid that these protests. Will actually change things. Here's the deal. If they don't east protests will have to keep happening in maybe even more businesses will be destroyed. We need to let change happen even though it may be uncomfortable for us, but just look at the good that comes of them the MBA players protested boycotted in. Now the league agreed to make every arena appalling location so that people can vote in vote more safely. The Los Angeles dodgers have done the same don't be afraid of change and be honest with yourself. These tensions did not get this band before Donald Trump came along this week. The Republicans tried to say that Donald Trump made America safer in his time as president will also painting the rest of America as a Mad Max post-apocalyptic hell scape they're lying to you. You know that in your heart if you're honest with yourself. So as the new much in Washington happens today fifty, seven years after the first look over the images. See All that this group of Americans is asking is to be seen and treated equally. and. By the way, if we're talking about rioting and looting and arson I, seem to remember a large group in white hoods sue frequently burned down black Americans homes and businesses specifically because they're black. To, everyone else don't underestimate white racism like we all did in two thousand sixteen. This election will not be a cake walk and we need to fight for it and as more and more of these pre 2016 Republican leaders. The big people from the George W Bush H W, Bush, white houses. Every important Republican figure has come out and said hey this guy is dangerous. You need to vote for Joe Biden sometime and we just had realized that this isn't a decision. This is clear. This isn't about Republican Democrat this is about the America we want. The future we want in whether we want our kids to be able to follow the example of the president. Would you want your kid to be down trump? All right I think that's all I can say about all of that coherently at least if you made it to this point I thank you for the weekend I just encourage everyone of you to be bold on social media about this stuff. And if you're scared to take that step, take me at Quick News daily. And I'll be there to back you up. It is scary. Otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you right back here on. Monday..

"By North Carolina and stuff that. Like sped up in stayed extremely strong as it hit the land. So. Take it very, very seriously. Stay safe while you golf listeners. That's pretty much it for the news I was GONNA go into this article about facebook a little bit more but I'm not sure if I'm going to have enough time here. So quickly, I was fourteen for apple products will not track your unique device ID number that advertisers used to target ads to you and estimate add effectiveness in it's basically like as. Soon as when you think about buying say sunglasses somehow there's always like a ton of sunglasses ads on the next page you load that sort of thing. So facebook is giving people a heads up that it could lead to a more than fifty percent drop in its advertising business. So when they sell ads, it could drop their revenue by about fifty percents so. Poor poor facebook. Not I don't have a lot of love lost their in any case that's it for the news. Again, if you WANNA do one thing rate in review wherever you're listening if it allows I would certainly appreciate it also don't forget that Quick News daily has all sorts of merchandise t shirts, masks, fanny packs. Even. Fanny packs. The link is in the description for that but Yeah. Otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see back here tomorrow. Today is Thursday August twenty seventh and thank you for trusting me with your news. What did you guys end up thinking about the spider analogy yesterday was a good sloppy. I'm on the fence about it. I, think it made sense in my head is just about getting an Outta my head into into the microphone I suppose always feel free to give me a shout out if you think something's a out a line or just like super incorrect me and feel free to give shout out there. In any case, you've got some real news to get to today. So let's get on with it and get caught up. I. Want To. Start today by catching up on some corona virus news because it feels like it's been a while since I've mentioned it and I certainly don't want us to let our guard down. The first story I want to mention is the CD's new guidance on testing. They hastily changed to say that you don't even need a test unless you're symptomatic even if you've been exposed to someone who's been tested positive, who's a confirmed positive case? There's been lots of backlash for this. Especially, since Dr thought she was in surgery when they made the decision. So I'd say that's a bit fishy several state and local leaders including Californian Governor Gavin Newsom in New York, Governor Andrew, Cuomo say they won't follow this in that they'll keep testing how they've always been testing since testing in general is still a mass make sure you check your latest local updates for what criteria your local leaders are using the second covid story is about some news about reinfection E. First reinfection case was confirmed by genetic sequencing in Hong Kong I gotTa be honest headline like that saying that we can get it again. Really kind of freaked me out because you know my thought was just like well, what affects scenes don't matter then you know what what happens then but really it's actually not even news scientists have been expecting this because corona viruses like the regular flu typically do this where you can get reinfected with them. Obviously, we have to have a flu shot every year and I guess when you think about it, it should be obvious that reinfection in. Air quotes could happen because we still have all of the organs that Cova detaches to right like it's not like we don't have lungs anymore. So if it spread through the lungs, it can go back. The kicker is, is that we have these memory cells. So when it comes back a second time, they fight it off much quicker and they they limit the spread unlike the first time when it has to develop all those antibodies to fight it off. So a little bit more on this Guy he was thirty three years old infected in March and August in the second time. Around he was awesome to manic, but they just caught it because he was trying to travel and go on a plane. So this does show that our bodies have memory of it. The fact that no other cases were confirmed by genetic sequencing because not enough was left behind in the body to sequence I think that would show that it's rare and relatively harmless for reinfection but obviously always have to keep your guard up more good news that a vaccine can help produce a longer lasting immune response than natural antibodies. So if our bodies are already this good at fighting and off could. Get even better and even better than that. If we do booster vaccine's, I'm actually going to go ahead and say that was actually a lot of good news. Our third and final covert update is a story about how blood thinners affect your body's response to Corona virus. The nasty thing about Cova is then it causes clotting throughout the entire body, but you might not even show any traditional symptoms for clowning in this study that the stories about there were forty, three hundred people and tested, which is a mid size. I wouldn't call it huge by any stretch and it wasn't even completely randomized. Obviously, take it with a grain of salt, but it found that it reduces the risk of death by up to fifty percent of those who were seriously ill. So by taking blood thinners and blood thinners mean to thirty percent less likely to need a ventilator in the study sixty percent of those who were not given blood thinners were discharged from the hospital eventually twenty six percent died and thirteen percent are still in hospital. Sorry. Thirteen percent still in hospital had to translate there for any of you British listeners out there UK listeners. I'm sorry I, kid patients who did get blood thinners as a precaution seventy, five percent were discharged twenty two percent died and three percent are still in progress still in hospital. So know expert this wasn't in the story, but it just seems like it makes it a faster recovery I mean four percent fewer people died. So that's good but it's just the in-progress decreased by. Ten percent. So something look into, there's also found to be no difference if the blood thinners were given as a precaution or if they're giving after you started showing blood clot symptoms. So that's good that it's It's not too late. This shows a a larger team for doctors right now is that since we don't have one cure or therapeutic you have to. Have this drug cocktail. So write this down, keep it with you. The cocktail consists of an antiviral rim desert near to control the virus spread within the body. It's the only drug approved for treating Corona virus saw an antiviral a steroid like decks medicine so that you don't get tissue swelling or swelling on your lungs then Dr Trump's magical elixir plasma. It's actually helpful on. Hydroxy chloroquine, but it needs a little a little help and then now blood thinners. So again out, say write that down, keep it with you so that maybe you can give some suggestions if you or someone you know has this and I put that in the notes. So all four parts I put in the notes and spelled it out because designated tex-mex zone it's a nightmare..

"Looking forward to most. Already that's it here for the news today, if you want to do one thing today, leave a rating indoor review wherever you're listening. If it allows, it really does help the show get out there and and get more views or visibility I should say so that people can find it and start listening. But again, thank you for being such a loyal audience a strong audience I mean the numbers are incredible. In your otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Today is Wednesday August twenty sixth and thank you for choosing Quick News daily. Sadly, we've got more big news from my state the recap from night to at the Republican National Convention, a nasty upcoming hurricane and even more after that, let's get caught up last night. The protests here in Wisconsin took an ugly turn when surprise surprise a militia white dudes with long guns came out to defend businesses air. Quotes that they had no connection to one shooter for sure is Kyle Rittenhouse a seventeen year old white supremacist from Antioch. Illinois they caught him after he fled back till Illinois after the shooting and he's been charged with first degree intentional homicide for the murder of two protesters allegedly I guess I should probably say allegedly for legal reasons innocent until proven guilty that whole thing but of the protesters he. Murdered each shot one of them in the head one of them in the chest and he sent another to the hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries according to witnesses there was a flurry of shots that rang out. At, some point he got knocked to the ground protesters tried to take the gun, but he got up and started firing again. So really probably I duNNo. Lucky if you can call it that that more weren't killed. Now, if you can see the cover art today, it is consisting of his facebook pictures before his facebook was taken down people obviously found it pretty quick and it was littered with blue lives, matter posts and asking for donations to back the badge or something one of those charities like that. Also white supremacists stuff. So One aside about the blue lives matter thing I've seen a lot of it in the past I'd say. But it seems like people have wise end up on how to fight back against that narrative because you know if you go against the police, that's kind of unpopular. But people have started saying nobody was born blue they all chose it. There's no such thing as blue lives because when you think of it like black lives matter, you can't choose to paint black some different messaging. It seems like I'm also going to put blame on whatever law enforcement was out there last night because of this video on social media must take a listen first and then I'll explain why in filling the gaps..
27 Republican former members of Congress say they'll back Biden over Trump
"Democratic nominee Joe Biden just keeps racking up the endorsements from former Republicans today more than two dozen former Republican members of Congress endorsed Biden notably on the first day of the Orange See Republican national convention the name that's most familiar to liberals like me is. Senator. Jeff. Flake he was the senator from Arizona Senator Gordon Humphrey of new, Hampshire and John Warner of Virginia round out the list of senders in the rest are all congressman from everywhere from Texas to Hawaii. So by an Israeli building strong huge coalition. And you might say, well, how does this affect me if your views are closer to mine we're not the intended audience for this intended audience is upper middle class upper class folks who usually vote Republican but modern it and. Turned off by trump. That's who they're trying to reach here. This gives those people permission to vote for Joe. Biden. Again, can you imagine being Republican crossing over to vote for a Democrat? Not really likely. So on the first day of the convention good news
