Fresh update on "quick" discussed on Balance of Power

"Balance of power. I'm David Weston. The pandemic, shut down most of the economy and put millions of Americans out of work. We're climbing back out of that hole as we saw in lower jobless claims last week, but we're not close to where we were before the crisis for an overall view of the jobs market. We welcome now Richard Trump, co president of the Infidel CEO, which represents over 12.5 million workers nationwide, Richard Great to have you back with us. As I say jobless claims came in better last week. Surprise people some How far do we have yet to go? Well, we still have. Ah, good way to go. We still have about 10 million fewer jobs, and we had a year ago on if you look at some of the lower skilled jobs that they're trying to get Age to the visas for even David. We have about two million people more employed this year than we did last year. So right now we're digging out of the big home. We had some great job numbers, and I think the Stimulus factor from the rescue bill on then, hopefully from the infrastructure bill will get us well, on our way when you think back to what we call full employment. When? Yeah, Uh, I'd say we're probably depending it depends If, in fact they do nothing except the rescue of Bill. It'll take us several years to get there. If they do more than the rescue building still a rescue, they actually start toe. Do the infrastructure bill on anywhere near the scale that the president is asking for then I think we're looking at a much shorter period of time, maybe a year and a half. You have a reaction to the Republican compromise or the alternative? Rosie is it was 568 billion, I think instead of 2.25 trillion Yeah, well, first of all, I think we got to talk about what infrastructures. Let me give you my definition infrastructure is the physical and the organizational structures. That are needed to operate in society. So that would include child care that would include a sick days that would include other things that are needed to operate the society. But when you look at just The physical side of it. There's two facets to that. There's the infrastructure that we have right now that needs repaired. And then there's the infrastructure that we need to get us into the 21st century and make us competitive. And while they talk a little bit about fixing roads and things they don't talk enough. About smart roads and about grids and about all the things that we're going to need to get us into the 21st century and regain our leadership. In the field of infrastructure because we're way down on the scale right now and dropping quickly, according to the Society of Civil Engineers, So the there Their offer is extremely low and does not go anywhere near meeting the needs of the country, President Biden said. We need to pay for summat, least of the infrastructure. Bill and other things he wants to do. And now we have a report as of yesterday that it looks like they might be looking at eliminating essentially the preferential treatment for capital gains in the tax code, do you either Richard Trunk A or the F else, You say they'll have a position on capital gains. Well, you know, look, uh, dead. Is it worth it? You know, corporations have been getting by on the sheep. They haven't been paying their fair share. So I think we have to look. Our tax code in general Capital gains is just one of the areas and you know a lot of people play games with that, in order to take advantage of it. We also have to look at the tax digital itself of the text changes that were made under President Trump really gave big windfall to corporations and put the burden on working people's back. Quite frankly, so I think we need a tax so we need to look at Capital gains tax and the elimination of it. We're scaling back of it or the changing of it to make a move fair to everybody out there. Let me ask you about something that you might think is outside your bailiwick, but I think it may be, which is emergent. It's that subcontractor from Johnson Johnson up in Baltimore, and it turns out that the what was going on in those factories was not up to snuff. Is there a labor issue there? Is there a question about how we're supervising the workers. Well, you know, that happens every single day, David. I mean, we have We have a big name employers on big name brands in this country that get all the products from overseas. Let's take something like right now we're looking at solar panels. Solar panels are being made. Most of them have been made parts of them being made. In a weaker area of China. It's done with four slaver. So are companies are using those parts, although I don't think I don't. I don't protect it participate enforced labor but by using the parts that were made by forced labor. They're actually encouraging and allow it to keep going. So we have this rant that outsourcing that we currently have, where companies are nothing but the shell of a cos They used to They don't make anything anymore. They procure everything. This is going to happen, and it's gonna happen and more and more, The more we find out about it. I mean, it's the only difference between now and earlier is we find out about it a little easier. Finally, Richard Quick question but unfortunately complicated Subject Pro act, which we've talked about many times that's pending in Congress. Are you concerned that there are so many things pending in Congress? You might not get it through. We've got a lot of other things. Now we've got the George Floyd Act. We've got a voting bill. You concerned you may just get left behind. You know, you know, David, that sort of plenty I do with 100 different subjects that day. My members that have problems and they don't say to me. Oh, reach. I know that you're not gonna get to this until next year. It's okay, so they don't say that to me that you haven't issued. Get it done. This is the most important thing that's out there working people and look, it's the gateway to a number of other issues. If you want to solve the climate change you got Richard Think you better get up to Capitol Hill Show hostile this Richard Trump.

Questions for Tesla / Elon Musk on Earnings Call

"Everybody around our here and they were going to be talking about a few subjects. We have technology has opened up their questions mission process for tesla's q. One earning skull so as do most quarters. We're going to go through some of the questions that have asked the questions that i've asked And see what we think are good questions. We then also have some news from a tussle supplier some more information on the tesla accident in texas. Press increase on tesla's stock and then a protester at shanghai's will go through the details on that as well. It's a quick look at the stock here So tesla today finishing up zero point six percent a little bit down after hours from the seven nineteen seven hundred ninety nine closing price. Netflix's did report their earnings after hours. Today they did miss. I think their stock was down about ten percent. Last time i looked at it so we did The mackerels probably impacting us a little bit after hours here as well that could carry into tomorrow. So there's something to keep an eye on but otherwise a relatively quiet day in the markets. Obviously a lot of attention around apple's today. I think that absorbed a lot of the the focus today all right so i want to talk about. Is these questions so as we do. Most quarters just want to go through some questions that have been asked My questions the reasoning behind some of the things. Some of the things. I'm thinking about as a asking these questions And then we'll move onto the next subject. So i guess we can start off here with kind of the questions that i've got in here and then we'll go through a couple of top questions as well so the first question i asked here is how joe coming along. Could though joe unlock in. Aws like business. Line four tesla. Over the next few years so the reason that i chose to you ask. This question is because as i say. Most quarters i think the most valuable thing that we can be asking about our batteries most valuable things we can be asking about our batteries and autonomy but we asked a lot about batteries on the last earnings call.

Why Weight Loss Is Harder for Some Than Others

"You have excess body weight the standard advice to eat less and move more. Of course we all know. This is easier said than done for one thing. It takes a lot of work to change deeply ingrained habits and behavior patterns. It's hard to move more when our workplaces are designed for sitting and our neighborhoods are designed for driving. It's hard to eat less when you're constantly surrounded by hyper palatable food and it's also challenging to eat less when you've learned to use food to cope with stress or soothe your emotions now. These are all issues that a good behavior modification program can help you with. But it's also really hard to eat less when your brain is sending the wrong signals about whether you've had enough to eat hunger which is the urge to eat or seek food and say she ation that feeling that you're full and you don't want more food are both regulated in the hypothalamus. This is the most primitive part of the brain. The hypothalamus responds to hormonal signals. Being sent from different organs all over your body via various chemical messengers and when this system is working as it should our hunger increases when our body needs energy and decreases when it doesn't and the result is a stable body weight but sometimes that system goes awry. Dr gabriel smallers is an endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of obesity. And here's how he explains it and the hypothalamus is receiving all of these different inputs and essentially processing the situation says then say should we eat. Should we not eat. Should we stop eating. Should we seek food etc. We conclude that there's this regulation when the system. Actually the gas tank is full. But yet the signaling at the level. The hypothalamus is indicating an empty tank. If your brain is receiving the wrong signals about whether or not you need food. This is obviously going to make much more difficult for you to eat less.

"Julian welcome to talk by enemy. Thank you it's great to have you here. We've got a bunch of fun stuff to talk about. It's really interesting to think about how we go about building software at scale and one of the things it just under a how you feel about reading your book. I feel like you must have some opinions on this. But when i go to a website that is clearly not a small little companies. It's obviously a large company with money to put behind professional developers and stuff in you click on it and it takes four seconds for every page load. It's just like how is it possible that you're building the software with so much. This is the face of your business is sometimes they decide to fix it with front frameworks. So then you get like a quick splash of like a box with owi and then it says loading for four seconds which to me feels no better. So i don't know. I i feel like building scalable. Software is really important. It's still people are getting it quite wrong quite often. I'm in it's all it's all also. There's a lot of things to do when you do that. Which lie right kober call for sure that also going to be able to mature everything like win there. Somewhere the be It's not easy bar like writing code and facing berg's is dominant. We all know to do that. But then if we are asking us up to one of the things that i as an example with profiling. "Want to transition a little bit of nfl because obviously the next big thing on the nfl draft calendar or on the sports counter really is the nfl draft. And it's kind of crazy because there are so many different narratives that are popping up mack. Jones moving updraft boards justin field potentially moving down draft boards. So narratives going on. And so what. I kinda wanna do. That was a new piece of information that came out today. That really leads to an older piece of information from earlier this week that i want your opinion on and so listen. It's draft season. You hear all sorts of crazy stuff but there was a report out a lengthy report from the athletic earlier today which which which interviewed a bunch of anonymous gm's and coaches and stuff like that and so it said in this athletic report. You told me that justin field was going to be better than trevor lawrence and five years. I would say yes that could happen. That was an anonymous. Gm told that to the athletic. And so i thought that quote was kind of interesting in the context of what happened earlier this week with trevor lawrence. I know you and chris touched on it briefly but for the audience. That hasn't fully heard the quotes. I'll read it really quick robin than i want your response but trevor lawrence of course the presumptive number pick. Since the beginning of time no one has ever debated his place as the best player in this draft. He sat down for a pretty lengthy interview with sports illustrated and he said a few different things where he said. It's hard to explain that. Because i want people to know that i'm passionate about what i do and it's really important to me but i don't have the huge chip on my shoulder that everyone's out to get me and i'm trying to prove everybody wrong. I just don't have that. I can't manufacture that. I don't want to and i think that people mistake debt for not being competitive. I think that's unhealthy to certain extent. Elon Musk Teases Tesla AI Day for Summer 2021

"Now we're here today. We're gonna be talking about some recent. Us tweets about tests a day. Looks like we may have a tentative date for when that maybe scheduled we'll talk about what to expect for that event we've also got a little bit of an update on the model s. next refresh and a couple of other stories as well. Quick look at the stock tesla today finished up nine tenths of a percent to seven hundred and thirty eight dollars five cents that did trail slightly behind the nasdaq up. One point three percent and volume really fell off today for tusla about twenty seven and a half million shares traded today versus the pretty high volumes. We had yesterday and the day prior yesterday. Of course we did have that coin based direct listing. So i know a lot of people like to take a look at what is doing what they're trading. They did sell off some tesla yesterday. That always seems to get a little bit of attention on social media but definitely a normal process for arc. Tesla's diller top holding in many funds it has risen above ten percent in some of those funds and generally when that happens arc tends to sell down a little bit and on the coin based point arctic initiate positions there across funds at about zero point seven five percent weight so selling tesla would help provide liquidity for that new position. So nothing too surprising there. I just wanted to point out because again it gets talked about. And that may have been a little bit of pressure on tussle in general yesterday as tesla had a tougher day arc. Probably not the only one to make a move like that all right with that being said let's get into ai elon. Musk caddy number of tweets yesterday about tesla and their progress in artificial intelligence. He kicked it off by noting. That quote tesla ai. Slash autopilot engine team is making excellent progress solving real world. Ai and quote he followed that up with a number of tweets some of which related to full self. Self-driving the beta button. We'll get to those in a second but he also responded to a question asking. When can we expect a day. Yulon said probably late july so first thing there anytime we have a timeline from and we got to be cautious on that he saying probably here so be a little bit more cautious. Even this is an event so it is a little bit more up to tesla when they hold this. But i would assume they wouldn't want to hold an event like this until the fd beta is broadly released.

"It's time for richmond. Guess bill short-track season about the conclude. Here for nascar. no well. I love short tracks. I love richmond. And i love richmond during the day. I think it's a great race during the day. I think the groove widens out the drivers have options with the crew. Chiefs are gonna love because there's still no practice dj so you're going to have to hit the ground with what you think. You're going to run in the race and if you miss it early you can get laughed. They're pretty quick. So i liked it. My dry options to move around with the warm racetrack. I was anxious to see martinsville under the but obviously that didn't exactly happen so But it turned out to be a tremendous race. And i just love. The fact of watching different drivers go about navigating short tracks. And i'll use martin rex junior as the example. That only a couple of years ago that we wondered with this guy ever win on the short-track and now he's like fifty or sixty percent on these but what was the most impressive thing. Hardest thing that that driver comes up against is trying to pass teammate. Lead in the race for the win. You know not wanting to other people. You can be a lot more aggressive but he did that. That was textbook. If you watch the way that he worked any hamlin then made all of that happens. Fundraising watch and i agree. I love richmond and the afternoon with it hot and slid

We're supposed to start today but it's going to start tomorrow. Jury selection will start tomorrow. That selection was supposed to start today but prosecutors are trying new ad on a third degree murder charge. The strategy behind that is it's technically a lesser charge than manslaughter. So it's kind of easier to prove you don't have to prove intent or premeditation. So.

I should clarify that. wasn't rejected. It's just that they'll have to talk about it. More as opposed to just doing a quick vote. I mean that's no big deal. It's only the third largest federal department. Actually i find it ironic. That josh wants to block someone from the homeland security position since josh hawley is one of our biggest national security threats now josh says that he blocked may orcas because he didn't have a good enough explanation for him on how he'll handle border security. Of course that was about the border with mexico because josh doesn't have a problem with borders with countries where a majority of the citizens are white along those same lines. It's pretty clear. Why out of all the nominees senator. White supremacist insurrectionist. Chose someone with a name. Ali hundred yorkies to object to. I also have to give it up for. Msnbc's brian williams because when he mentioned the same story during their inauguration coverage back on wednesday he started by calling. Holly josh insurrection. Hawley loved it. Brian does not give a crap now that he's not on the nightly news he's on cable. Tv he can say whatever the heck he wants and he's going to some more bad news for crews in hallways that seven. Democratic senators have filed an ethics complaint asking the ethics committee to look into their role in inciting that insurrection. These are notorious for not going anywhere but if it was going to happen to anyone it would realistically be ted cruz. Because al franken the former senator from minnesota has the famous quote out of everyone in congress. I like ted cruz. The most and i hate ted cruz very briefly here. "It's not going to be president trump as of january twenty first as well. Listen when you're getting that treatment from fox news bret baier. Yikes so one of the guys. That follow where i get all my clips from essentially when it comes to politics or people speaking. He tweeted out this video. And i decided to throw my hat in the ring in the replies because i just looked up holly and i saw one of these positions which just really really jumped out to me so just through a quick check of wikipedia and the actual sources. So it's real. I found out. That josh hawley. Try to say that human trafficking is caused by the normalization of birth control and premarital sex basically comes from the sexual revolution of the nineteen sixties. You gotta give me a break here. Man what the heck is that Yes it's the traditional women are allowed to have fun or beyond their own or be independent That's what leads to human trafficking. My come on man. So i put that in there in the replies and got a crazy response. It's definitely been my best tweet or tweet. That's gotten the best response ever across any account. I've ever had so if you're listening because of that. Thank you welcome. It's great to have you here and I hope i can be your new source for the foreseeable future. I hope you like it here. All right everyone. That's where i'm putting it off for today. Obviously looking ahead to tomorrow are big story of the day is going to be what happens in georgia fingers crossed for both jon ossoff and reverend raphael warnock it just be so satisfying because leffler in purdue are just some of the most corrupt senators that you can possibly imagine now the issue with that is that lower information voters or people who don't pay attention to politics they just have this This perception that this is just how washington works like. Of course they insider trade. They have information everyone does it. So why should it be an issue for them. And also there's the fact that people may not like purdue and leffler. They may think they're kind of scummy too but damned if they have to vote for a democrat. So that's really a big struggle to get over a big hurdle to clear. I would be surprised if even one of the senators. I'd be surprised if one of them like it went One democrat one republican elected tonight. But i think the conventional wisdom that everyone seems to be employing is that it's either gonna be all democrat night or in all republican night either way. Shout stacey abrams for even making close down there. She's registered so many voters imagined. She's going to be ramping up for twenty twenty. Two brian kemp is going to be back up for re election for governor in. That's can be one heck of a rematch..

"Today's monday october. Twenty sixth and mercifully. We just eight days away from election day. That said it's probably more likely than not that we won't know a winner until after that date hopefully not too far after but it's still important to remind ourselves of that so we can prepare ourselves for that journey or that fight. Whatever it may come to today we have a couple of things to get to including a deep dive on the voting numbers. So far the demographics of the people who have voted. And what it means. And it's definitely going to be the longest segment i've ever done. But i think you'll find that it's worth it. Also we'll get to more important. Endorsements for joe biden from big names in pop culture trump's dumbest moments from the weekend and the return of a segment. We have almost every day now but first ladies and gentlemen let me tell you about something crazy. That was brought to my attention this weekend by one of you loyal listeners. Apparently someone thinks my instagram account is worthy of copycat. No i'm not going to give the person anymore of the attention. They so crave. But i will say that i will never personally message and ask for money or anything like that. I haven't gotten any messages saying that. This copycat is doing that yet. But i just wanted to make that abundantly clear in case that starts. I'm not really sure why this person shows my account. The show isn't particularly famous. I'm sorry to say but if you ever see this copycat or another one. Please reported on whatever social media platform. You're on and then let me know about it as well if you could. Lastly know that. I will always always protect the brand of quick news daily. We'll start the actual news with a quick update early in mail in voting. So far democrats are doing what we need to do. Putting pressure on republicans. that said. there's not quite enough year for me to say that this thing is over. The amazing news is that they have already been more votes cast than the total number of early in mail in votes in two thousand sixteen. Not just at the same time that year. Like all the early and mail in ballots from that year and we still have eight days to go as of sunday. Democrats have cast fifty one percent of the ballots will republicans have cast thirty one percent. The republicans have made it closer in the past ten days but analysts are still saying that they have their work. Cut out for them also. That stat is a bit misleading because it shows what part of the registered with but not who they support from what. I'm hearing from the folks. At the lincoln project. Their polling indicates that about eight to twelve percent of republicans are expected to actually vote for joe biden. This also doesn't tell us anything about independent voters who obviously make up a good chunk of these votes probably fifteen percent. If i guess polling suggests that they'll break slightly in biden's favor which is the exact opposite of what happened last time if biden simply gets those voters this things over but again we all have. Ptsd from two thousand sixteen. So don't pay attention to the polls act. Like joe biden is ten points behind getting a little more specific in florida. Five hundred ninety six thousand more democrats have voted by mail than republicans so that is definitely an advantage however two hundred thirty thousand more. Republicans voted early in person. So they've got that in nevada. Similar story democrats have outvoted republicans by mail by ninety seven thousand five hundred as of sunday but republicans have outvoted democrats by forty two thousand six hundred in person. Those numbers do make me feel better but we have to make sure that those aren't all of our votes that more voters continued to turn out through election day. Another interesting thing. I learned from the lincoln project. Podcast is that they're using psychological tactics against trump voters on social media whenever bad pulls come out for trump which is honestly like two three times a week. At this point they usually re tweet or share the polls with a caption total collapse. They also do this when bad news comes out about the trump campaign and their whole goal with this is to depress trump voters. The group's thinking is that if it seems like trump has no chance of winning or it's not very likely his voters are less likely to wait in these long lines. Especially if there's bad weather. I mean if i was a democratic voter and i lived in arkansas. I wouldn't stand out there in the rain or something because i know joe biden isn't going to win arkansas. Now obviously and be smart enough to get a mailing or absentee ballots so that i could vote. Somehow but since trump has been tweeting that male and votes are fraud and be trusted. That's what his supporters believe. He needs a huge turnout on election. Day and as read. Gale and of the lincoln project said on friday. He better hope that it's sixty five degrees in sunny in every swing state because he needs that devotion from his supporters. That's not to say he won't get it though. Nate silver at five thirty eight. Who's like a statistical genius has the probability of a biden win at eighty seven percent which is basically about as high as it could be but the scary part is that that means trump still has a thirteen percent chance of winning. Thanks to the electoral college. Fivethirtyeight gave trump the highest probability of winning back in two thousand sixteen compared to the new york times in basically every other site and that was only a nineteen percent chance so he's technically doing worse but there are a ton of new voters this year and if that group is made up of a lot of white guys who didn't go to college that's the worst case scenario and it's why we can't rest until joe biden is declared the winner by the electoral college. The good endorsement news for biden keeps rolling in and at this rate it's like the vendors coming out of the portal and teaming up to thanos and game. These endorsers are the biggest names in pop culture and this weekend michael. Keaton was one celebrity to endorse biden. Let's take a listen. hi i'm michael keaton. Michael keaton douglas actually from pittsburgh western pennsylvania and can act like you. Don't wanna listen to me. I wouldn't blame you. But let's be honest frigging batman. This pandemic occurred in the current occupant of the white house. Had the information could save lives and helped notches pennsylvania's but people all across this country didn't happen because sliding nabet small businessmen and women suffered as a result. People have lost their lives. I couldn't sleep at if i walked in and didn't vote for joe biden from scranton. Authentic joe not brand job. One of us kind guy. My father and people of his generation guys like john mccain. Who look you in. The i tell you the truth of joe biden when ask you to vote for joe by there was also a great end. That was made even better by the fact that it was narrated by brad pitt. Here's that commercial. Is it good to see how you mad. God love you can say hi to preach that america is a place for everyone those who chose this country those who fought for it some republicans some democrats and most just somewhere in between all looking for the same thing. Someone who understands their hopes their dreams. They're paying to listen to bring people together to get up every day and work to make life better for families like yours to look you in the i treat you with respect and tell you the truth to work just as hard for the people who voted for him as those who didn't to be a president for all americans.

Well there's Nobody really I mean it's not Alec Baldwin I can tell you that is. Not too good at it, but there is a failed comedian. Okay. Who Basically? Had No career his career was over okay. Mr President Sir you should see sky j-l whatever his last name is I don't know and I don't want to know. and. I watched it and I said this guy is sort of. One of the worst things that he doesn't sound the guy sent nothing likely he sounded nothing I asked if I needed a strong hearing test and then Dr Ronnie, Jackson said, sir, you have the greatest hearing of any human being that's ever lived. So I said okay. So it's not my hearing because I very powerful hearing. And then I said this guy was doing a great impression and it was sort of a total disaster. It was a disgrace and I almost felt bad for him because. Somebody. was lying to him so. You know it's definitely not the J. L. character that people have been talking about I think he's of the worst. "Big entertainment news of the day is something I'm watching closely. It is about Zack Snyder's Justice League. It is a very long story. But essentially Box league came up in 2017, Zack Snyder had to step away really late in the game though because of a family tragedy his daughter committed suicide. So he stepped away late in the game. Joss Whedon took over and basically the movie flopped there was a lot of finger-pointing as to why that happened. But Zack Snyder is a really really just good genuine guy. He was never doing any of the finger pointing out. He was a good company guy, but he kept dropping these hints that there was most of his movie already completed the original story was that we didn't had to come in and reshoot a lot of stuff and do a lot of rewrites and then it would just really wasn't sex movie anymore that Zacks portion was not useable but it turns out Zach was right the entire time there was almost an entire like eighty percent of the movie wage. Done. So they announce that next year on HBO max. They're releasing Zack Snyder's Justice League and originally they were saying no you're just going to finish up the rest of the shots off the rest of animation and like yeah the CGI, but now it was just announced that they will be doing reshoots in October. Apparently, they're going to be shelling out about seventy million dollars for this month and that's quite a jump to go from zero to seventy million. I mean Joker that movie was made for fifty million. So yeah, this is definitely a big investment on Warner Brothers part. I have some questions about why I'm doing it though currently there in sort of a dispute about Ray Fisher who played Cyborg in the movie is alleging some hostile work environment issues or I should say against them and they're going back and forth on that. I'm not really sure if this is oh we want to make Justice League this good solid movie or are they trying to be the nice guys in the field of public radio? Shins tough to say but hey, if we get to see Zach's full vision, I'm all for it. But by the way, I should say the reshoots are for Henry Cavill as Superman Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman Ben Affleck as Batman and allegedly Ray Fisher as cyborg. All right, that'll do it for me here today. Remember if you like the show leave us a review wherever you listening so that more people can find quick News Daily. It really does help. Remember we do have merchandise available. Everything from masks two T-shirts to fanny packs. If you want something with a quick news logo on it. "Well, just a couple of days after mentioning him good friend of the show Michael Caputo is once again back under fire political is reporting that yesterday he held an emergency staff meaning to address rumors that have been going on around to my guess but mostly that disturbing facebook live video, he posted over the weekend and then deleted his account in the video. He claims a lot of stuff but let's take a listen to just a little bit. Whether as the Buffalo News or the New York Times or The Wall Street Journal or or any of these media outlets? I'm under siege. It's been going on for couple? Of Weeks. And? I don't care. Because I have the president's support I know that because he's toity some. Other after me for two reasons and one, a hybrid I want to well, I want to tell you what they are. So you understand. And you understand. That Might go anywhere. They're gonNA. Have to kill me. And unfortunately, I think that's where this is going. Partisan. Democrats. Conjugal media. And the scientists, the deep state scientists. Want America's sick through November. They cannot afford for us to have any good news for November because they're already losing. Donald trump ranked. Now, if you election were held, today would win. Okay. So He's claiming that he might take a medical leave sort of a a convenient way to get out of their political said that he's already on thin ice with trump and that was before the facebook live thing. So. If I had to put money on it I would bet that he's going to be taking a medical leave here pretty quickly. A former HHS official also told politico that Caputo has long complained of the stress caused by having been mentioned in these special counsel as investigation on Russian interference in the two thousand, sixteen election. It. Also says Caputo. Speeded anonymous White House criticism about his mental health saying that some of his comments had been taken out of context in concluded the meeting by encouraging his staff to listen to music by the grateful dead. Okay. All right. So That sounds like a a normal person who is completely in mentally all there right? That doesn't sound like anyone who in have mental health issues. Just force it does now here's where we have two separate things or at least I'm going to. If he truly has these mental health problems he really needs to go get them checked out. He needs to leave his position and never come back. And, I don't ever WANNA. Make Fun of someone for having mental health issues because you just never know you never know what's going on with someone. That said if his mental health issue is that he's annoyed in paranoid of being investigated because he was a criminal in worked with the Russian government during two thousand sixteen. Which I think it's pretty clear that everyone did I mean he's an associate of Roger Stone who is indicted in convicted on seven felonies. Even though he got his sentence commuted and he's out spewing lies again because that's just to Roger Stone is Roger Stone is still a felon. So again, if his mental health issues is just paranoia because he's a criminal. In, criminals usually get investigated. I got no love lost form but man, if he truly believes what he's saying in those facebook videos, he really does have problems. This disturbing if true story is the one about an ice detention center in Georgia where one doctor there is accused of performing mass hysterectomies on these immigrants being held there as well as refusing to test detainees for covid nineteen and shredding medical records. This is a sort of whistleblower complaint. It's coming from a nurse who works at that facility. It's the Irwin County detention center again in Georgia. Apparently, in the complaint, she says that the gynecologist is called quote the uterus collector and was performing quote mass hysterectomies and. Now it's still early in the story and maybe by the end of the day to day more, we'll have come out about it because even yesterday some of the bigger networks starting to pick up on it. So we'll be able to see if there's more here. If. Substantial truth to it. But. But yeah. This is one to watch closely because earlier in June when trump was gassing peaceful protesters, it was like living in the V for vendetta world. Now, if this is true, it's like the handmaid's tale. So it's like the crossover, you would never want like V for vendetta in handmaid's tale. So like what H. for handmaid's Tale I don't know but it's like the worst of both worlds, both of those stories are back in the eighties. So at that time you like, okay, these are a little bit extreme I don't think this could ever happen. Maybe the ideas are there, but it would never happen in twenty twenty s like MSN. A beer. So this is one story that I'll be watching closely and updating you on as we hear more and more either evidence or. Evidence to disprove. A quick update to the Florida polling problems that Biden had supposedly as well as the Bloomberg cash infusion in the state. The good news about those polls coming out early is that everyone sort of got not even sort of everyone got freaked out about them. So now resources are absolutely pouring into Florida and Mike Madrid. One of the founders of the Lincoln Project WHO's in charge of political operations for them confirmed yesterday that they will indeed. Be Moving into Florida as well. Moving some of their operations, some of their ads I saw the already released a Spanish language one just yesterday I think. So now they're even joining the fight. Obviously, that's really good news and thank goodness that this came out. So early that everyone's sort of had time to course correct in adjust tuned focused there is on. Florida. Because like I said, it's all about Florida and trump doesn't get Florida. Good night. Just another sign of the times and what apparels position were actually in the scientific American, has broken with its tradition not endorsing anyone for president in their one, hundred, seventy, five year history. The Scientific American has never endorsed anyone for president, but they broke that rule yesterday and they endorsed Joe Biden citing the fact that trump is completely ignored all the science on climate change as well as openly admitted to ignoring the science on Corona virus to help his reelection chances. Man If even the scientists are getting involved you know we're in a really really tough spot as a country. Lastly here the trump townhall that took place on ABC last night it was moderated by George Stephanopoulos into win about as well as you thought, might have trump constantly lying sometimes the voters actually. Back, checking them in real time, which was nice. Here's one of the highlights the wearing of masks has proven to. Lessen it spread of covid. Why don't you support a mandate from national mask-wearing?.

"So I think those are really all the specifics I wanna get into so far all that I can really feel qualified to talk about at this point. But basically, if you like Spiderman for the PS four, the game that came out. Gosh two years ago. Now you really GonNa like this game as well. The graphics do look really similar like almost identical that controls almost identical. So that's really nice. It is Super Fund so far especially going back to my childhood I kind of grew up with the Hulk I. So it is just a blast stealing GEIS's the hulk in just really beating the crap out of him. Love that aspect of it it's a superfund game I like playing his all the characters. The story intriguing enough so far even though it is fighting a lot of robots, there are still humans that fight in. Villains pulling the strings. And I really do want to see the vendors all back together, and then you know just fighting alongside each other that's GonNa be a blast. Some the textures a bit iffy. The frame rates bit iffy but it's so early in the release said I really don't want to get into that too much because another one of my favorite games days gone. Really had a problem with frame rates in the early weeks, and eventually through some patches, they really got that lockdown. Basically, you wouldn't notice it unless someone pointed it out to you. So that's kind of what I think will happen here. Eventually I think it's probably just hard to integrate all of these heroes especially since you can play all of them. In sort of have them on the screen at the same time as well as making them a or CPU because if you play alone, don't try to match make online or anything like that. You still get the other heroes alongside of you. So they have to code in all of that decision making and try to make them as close to a regular human playing as possible. So I imagine that's gotta be tough as well. Overall go by this thing at least rented. But give it a shot somehow because they really did a lot of work into this. And it is fun. It is great to have all of the avengers playable. And it really made me want to go back and watch the movies again. So that's great. Definitely worthwhile so far. In any case thanks for listening. "Right folks. That's all I got for you here today I do want WanNa talk a little bit about a new feature I added to the show description. The show notes essentially I just made a survey that I'm pretty much never gonNA end again through Google forms and it allows you to give instant feedback to me. So in this google form, it's anonymous. Again, you can write the show one to five one being will don't do that again five being great keep doing that. Or like a three and saying you know room for improvement I put in a little space for you to comment you know good or bad what she thought underneath the rating of course, and then there's also just a space for what episode you're listening to. Because you know you might not listen to episode on the day at airs. And says it never ends. So if you could just put the episode title in that question or at least get close if you don't copy and paste it out, really appreciate that just. So I know obviously what I did on that day and what exactly did on that day that wasn't necessarily popular or on the flip side was so great you had to comment about it either way I thought a cool feature to get more participation feel like your voice would be heard just always want to leave the door open open door policy, and of course, obviously, if you'd just rather lever review on. pod chaser or apple podcasts I put those links in there as well. See can absolutely do that. You don't have to review it twice unless you have something that you would specifically like media here I guess in private because you know those other of us are more public but I read them either way. So if you have feedback to give doesn't really matter where you give it to me, I'll just be looking in all the usual sites for it and trying to make the show better otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Today's Wednesday September second and thanks for choosing Quick News daily and thanks for choosing quick news. Daily. The plan for this show is to rattle off a lot of stories since there's still so much to catch up on. Glosses.

"We can't act like that's the same as an unarmed black man getting shot in the back at point blank range seven times or the life getting slowly choked out of a black man by a knee on his neck for eight minutes and forty six seconds. You might feel like we're always getting attacked these days for being the bad guys. But look at every single one of those cops who killed unarmed black men and decide if we aren't the bad guys or maybe you're afraid that these protests. Will actually change things. Here's the deal. If they don't east protests will have to keep happening in maybe even more businesses will be destroyed. We need to let change happen even though it may be uncomfortable for us, but just look at the good that comes of them the MBA players protested boycotted in. Now the league agreed to make every arena appalling location so that people can vote in vote more safely. The Los Angeles dodgers have done the same don't be afraid of change and be honest with yourself. These tensions did not get this band before Donald Trump came along this week. The Republicans tried to say that Donald Trump made America safer in his time as president will also painting the rest of America as a Mad Max post-apocalyptic hell scape they're lying to you. You know that in your heart if you're honest with yourself. So as the new much in Washington happens today fifty, seven years after the first look over the images. See All that this group of Americans is asking is to be seen and treated equally. and. By the way, if we're talking about rioting and looting and arson I, seem to remember a large group in white hoods sue frequently burned down black Americans homes and businesses specifically because they're black. To, everyone else don't underestimate white racism like we all did in two thousand sixteen. This election will not be a cake walk and we need to fight for it and as more and more of these pre 2016 Republican leaders. The big people from the George W Bush H W, Bush, white houses. Every important Republican figure has come out and said hey this guy is dangerous. You need to vote for Joe Biden sometime and we just had realized that this isn't a decision. This is clear. This isn't about Republican Democrat this is about the America we want. The future we want in whether we want our kids to be able to follow the example of the president. Would you want your kid to be down trump? All right I think that's all I can say about all of that coherently at least if you made it to this point I thank you for the weekend I just encourage everyone of you to be bold on social media about this stuff. And if you're scared to take that step, take me at Quick News daily. And I'll be there to back you up. It is scary. Maybe one of those people who's like I don't post politics stuff on my personal facebook or something like that. But. Extraordinary Times call for extraordinary measures and you'll actually be surprised at how many people are on your side people. You wouldn't even imagine. So take that leap. Otherwise check out a link that I put in the description. It's actually for this podcast platform called listen notes. I hesitate to say I did an interview sense. It's just a written thing you can submit, but they had some great questions on the background for the show and so behind the scenes stuff. So check that out. It's kind of fun. Otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you right back here on. Monday..

"Looking forward to most. Already that's it here for the news today, if you want to do one thing today, leave a rating indoor review wherever you're listening. If it allows, it really does help the show get out there and and get more views or visibility I should say so that people can find it and start listening. But again, thank you for being such a loyal audience a strong audience I mean the numbers are incredible. In your otherwise stay safe make your plan to vote fill out your senses and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Today is Wednesday August twenty sixth and thank you for choosing Quick News daily. Sadly, we've got more big news from my state the recap from night to at the Republican National Convention, a nasty upcoming hurricane and even more after that, let's get caught up last night. The protests here in Wisconsin took an ugly turn when surprise surprise a militia white dudes with long guns came out to defend businesses air. Quotes that they had no connection to one shooter for sure is Kyle Rittenhouse a seventeen year old white supremacist from Antioch. Illinois they caught him after he fled back till Illinois after the shooting and he's been charged with first degree intentional homicide for the murder of two protesters allegedly I guess I should probably say allegedly for legal reasons innocent until proven guilty that whole thing but of the protesters he. Murdered each shot one of them in the head one of them in the chest and he sent another to the hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries according to witnesses there was a flurry of shots that rang out. At, some point he got knocked to the ground protesters tried to take the gun, but he got up and started firing again. So really probably I duNNo. Lucky if you can call it that that more weren't killed. Now, if you can see the cover art today, it is consisting of his facebook pictures before his facebook was taken down people obviously found it pretty quick and it was littered with blue lives, matter posts and asking for donations to back the badge or something one of those charities like that. Also white supremacists stuff. So One aside about the blue lives matter thing I've seen a lot of it in the past I'd say. But it seems like people have wise end up on how to fight back against that narrative because you know if you go against the police, that's kind of unpopular. But people have started saying nobody was born blue they all chose it. There's no such thing as blue lives because when you think of it like black lives matter, you can't choose to paint black some different messaging. It seems like I'm also going to put blame on whatever law enforcement was out there last night because of this video on social media must take a listen first and then I'll explain why in filling the gaps..

"Just. A couple quick updates I promised you on Friday will end description since I mentioned Beirut, but didn't actually talk about it that was going to talk about it today and had plan talk about how the hospitals were swarmed and you know it's just not a great situation around there. So many people are homeless now. And then as I'm recording this, there's breaking news out there that the entire government resigned like all of the ministers, the prime minister, all his ministers, it just resigned. There's not a lot of details about what that means for the country because like who's left, you know who's in charge now On the cover art for the episode if you're listening on spotify, the top part has a poll about Biden versus trump in. Or something that was something that was going to talk about today. But actually, I'm not really sure and I'm not even sure if I'll talk about it again this week I left the Lincoln, these sources section of the Google Doc. So if you WANNA check out those polls in what's going on Definitely head over to the sources page on the website. Lastly the whole sturgis thing with all the bikers, it's just insane to me that denial, the denial of these people. Who gave interviews were like we're not wearing masks in we're not scared. We feel safe. Well, also at the same time, some of them were wearing helmets which are four. Safety Rights Safety. Yeah. So really just not putting two and two together. There it is. Truly astounding might come on guys. Can you at least pretend to have a brain sadler too I think that's all we're going to get in for a jam packed Monday show. We might pick up some of these stories tomorrow but to follow up on something I said last week I guess I was wrong about Biden's VP pick being on Saturday although others pointed out that Tim Kaine in Joe Biden were both introduced only two days before the convention when they were picked. So it's actually not unusual that the pecan announced yet on the news side I wanted to announce a special offer. If you sign up in any way. Patriots on steady pay pal to be contributor at the executive producer or news director levels, and if you do it between now and August, twenty third I'll give you one of the News daily themed masks from the store for free just for signing up. So if you sign up on steadier papal I'll try to get in touch with you to get an address to send that to for pay John It's Kinda slick. It's already set up in there, but just know, I'll be watching any way that you sign up. So I can follow up with you if need be another thing is I did mess with some of the prices on the merchandise store. So if you try to use that free shipping code I'm hoping it would work now but if it doesn't.

"Alright onto the main attraction jared Kushner and being the main attraction isn't something jared is necessarily used to. Towards the end of last week, there was this exclusive in vanity. Fair. That's just too evil. Not to talk about in this article Vanity Fair was able to establish a timeline using actual invoices and messages by the end of March the corona virus response team that was led by Kushner had developed a strategy for national testing that would solve the delays and shortages that were still seeing. They felt good about it and by. The lower level people and the health experts that they brought in. And they were told trump would announce it in the Rose Garden in early April. Well. Obviously, we've never seen that speech. So what happened? Well at some point before trump announced, it jared killed the idea he exact reason isn't one hundred percent clear. But one named health expert who's in contact with a team thinks that may have something to do with one member of the team suggesting they didn't actually need testing plan because the virus is only hitting states controlled by Democrats. Instead of spending the time finding and sending out supplies. They should just blame the Democrats in power which would help trump politically. It doesn't take Einstein to pretty quickly connect the dots and figure out that if the virus got from China and Italy to the US. Can Get from California to Arizona and keep going like that. So I'm not sure what the thinking was there. Let's just for argument's sake. Give them the extreme benefit of the doubt. And, say, jared killed the plan for some other reason. This story tells us that these people only see us as chess pieces. As trump voters or non trump voters. Frankly. It's always been ridiculous that the trump family seen as the fighters for the Working Class folks. But this is just the icing on that cake. These cartoonish villains don't care about you or me and they never have they just live in a different world than us. And they always will. All right onto our last story here America's first department store originally opened in eighteen, twenty six. Their name is Lord and Taylor for anyone who didn't get those trivia clues. And they just filed for chapter, Eleven Bankruptcy Protection on Sunday chapter eleven is where companies restructured their debts. So it's not necessarily the end of the chain, but it is just another company that's fall into covid. Pretty astounding because they made it through the civil war to world? War. The Great Depression in the great recession. And this was the one that got them. But they were just bought out last fall. So maybe it has more. More to do with that parent company they're. Now all of that is significant but I also told the story to say that when I saw that when I saw. Lord and Taylor. Trending on twitter I actually got a little excited because I got Lord and Taylor mixed up with Lord and Miller. The film writers and directors who've done stuff like cloudy with a chance of meatballs the new twenty, one jump street's and Spiderman into the spider verse in spite of versus actually getting a sequel I. Think it was supposed to be next year but who knows nowadays. So I got excited like Ooh, what's the news about spiders is Toby Maguire coming back. But Alas No. Was Just America's first department store declaring bankruptcy I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm the real victim in this whole story. Alright gang that's all the news here for today don't forget to use the Lincoln description to check if you're registered to vote and or request your mail in ballot or absentee as we learned today. There's also a link for you to become a contributor and help the show out or return you get some benefits and those change based on how much you liked. Contribute knows what if you can't though I know times are tough out there and I'll especially understand if it's between me and a political candidate who needs our help all right stay safe. Make a plan for how you'll be voting. It's never too early this year with the Post Office Shenanigans and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Today is Tuesday August fourth. Thanks for meeting me back here. Quick Reminder since I seem to keep forgetting that free shipping code from thousand fell is still good through August twenty second I'll have it in the description so you don't have to listen to me, spell it out a couple times. So if you're still looking for shoes and thought you missed out, Hey, it's your lucky day. As for news today, we'll cover the battle over the next stimulus bill, a Georgia school that tried to reopen sort of for teachers at least an update on that tropical storm. Some more speculation on Biden's VP pick and some other miscellaneous stories. Let's get caught up. Let's start with the latest on that stimulus bill since that's the elephant in the room right now about a week or week and a half ago I mentioned that there wasn't GonNa talk about the stimulus bill until it was done because in these sort of things nothing's ever really. Done until the last second but this time I'm making an exception because we've crossed the point where that extra six hundred dollars in unemployment benefits expired already every time the story comes up the analysts always mentioned that that extra six hundred dollars a week was really the only thing keeping a lot of families afloat and they're already one in five families that are going hungry. So if Congress doesn't get something passed soon, it could get pretty grim over the next two to four weeks. By the way, there are about thirty million Americans who have been relying on an extra six hundred dollars. So it is significant. At, least for now chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin are pushing for a short term bill to get everyone through until the next big bill passes but last I heard there were only willing to give around two hundred dollars a week for the unemployment and then extending the ban on fictions Democrats seem like they're tired of kicking the can down the road and they're really holding firm on that six hundred dollars a week especially since they already passed that three trillion dollar heroes act the big stimulus like a couple of months ago. That was at least June it might have even been may honestly. So all this debate is within the Senate since the House already passed that. For comparison the Big Republican plan is much lower in it's only one trillion dollars. and. They're really pushing for two hundred dollars a week for the unemployment benefit because they think six hundred is making people stay home instead of going to work, which again is part of the point. We don't want everyone out there acting like everything is normal. They're also standing firm on blanket liability protection for companies. So if the workplace is unsafe and you catch Kobe. You can't see them and so if you call into work because you feel unsafe, they can fire you. So if someone could explain to me. The logic behind decreasing unemployment benefits at the same time, you're making it easier for companies to fire people I. Love to hear it. That's the frustrating part they make. It seem like if you're not working automatically means you're lazy and corporations always come first, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out because the House canceled August break but the Senate is still scheduled to take their month long break at the end of this week. So hopefully, for family's sake, something happens right at the end of this week as the Senate really wants to go.
