"The way that game ended, what were your takeaways from the bucks road win 38 31 over Indianapolis yesterday? I thought the matchup was really good going into the game for Tampa's offense. It proved to be despite the slow start. Trying to get too cute early. I didn't really like Byron left, which is opening script at all. And initial game plan wasn't great. And then finally, Tom's like, let me just take this shit over. They started moving the ball with ease. What we saw from the colts, though, I think, let's see, you have the Texans on deck this week. That should be a win. You're going to make the playoffs. And I think if they can get the secondary healthy, this is a very scary team. I am all on board. This is someone and we're kind of transitioning away from Tampa because it's easy. I like damp is really fun. Yeah, we know it there. As we know that. I think as we kind of transition here off the cuff into the cult, what I saw from them early on, I immediately said to myself, and again, not trying to be a prisoner of the moment. Boy, this team with the way the AFC is looking right now, they could be a Super Bowl contender. Because I really like Frank Reich, I do. There are times where again you open the game. You get a great, great possession starting on Tampa Bay's 30, and I understand you have Jonathan Taylor, but it can't be first and ten run second and ten run. And then you end up settling for a vehicle. You've got to be a little bit more aggressive and there's still these people out there. And when the guys like top 5 and EPA since week 6, we've got to get over this. And I'm the guy who told everybody and that Carson Wentz wasn't a thing in Philadelphia and people hated me for it. And I was proven correct. And now we sit here and at the beginning of the year, I was saying, hey, Carson Wentz is basically had one good season where he had a nominally performance on third down, and that's why I look fantastic. And now I'm still able because this is a market to transition and kind of see with his eyes, it is very clear that him and Frank Reich are on the same page. And Frank Reich has full trust in Carson Wentz. And the offense yesterday was substantially better when Carson Wentz was throwing it. He is not a problem. He's just got to occasionally. We can't throw with our left hand. We can't have the timely mistake, but Carson Wentz has been really fantastic. And you think about that maturation from the cults have started slow virtually every season. The guy had a foot surgery and didn't get a chance to get acclimated with this new system with his new players basically all of camp. The offensive line was in shambles to start the season. Braden Smith was her Quentin Nelson had surgery was hurt. Eric Fisher was still recovering from an Achilles tear and missed the first couple of weeks. So you didn't have the offensive line to where it was. But I really think the offense is going to be just fine. And defensively, is the question. Can you get healthy on that side of the Buckner is dealing with a little bit of a back injury? We know Leonard's dealing with an ankle injury, right? The secondary is still a little bit banged up. Can you get some of those guys healthy there? If that happens, no one's going to want to play the colts in the AFC. Hey, I mean, this team has shown flashes. There's no doubt for stretches. You mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles pain and Carson Wentz and everything that went on there. Jalen hurts reminded us yesterday against New York football giants, while he may be elite as a runner, his passing game leaves an awful lot to be desired. And while I won't put all of the blame for the 13 7 loss on his shoulders, knowing that jaylen rager dropped not one, but two touchdown passes, what did you see from Philadelphia? Because a lot of people had talked them up as a legitimate threat to make the playoffs in the NFC. I still think this team is extremely flawed, and they're going to be held back by offensive limitations. Really missed a golden opportunity yesterday. Dallas has dropped two straight games. You win yesterday, you're a game back in the win column and you have another matchup against Dallas. So yesterday was yesterday was difficult, right? And. Kind of watch what I say here. Being somewhat close to that situation. I see what Jalen hurts is doing. I understand if you look at some of the charting stuff like the guy can only throw to one side of the field. Now, defense is might not have discovered that. But that's the reality of the situation. Is he going to get better? Is he a guy that works his tail off? Yes, is he like a good locker room guy? He's a great dude. Yes. And so there's a ton of potential improvement there. And they're throwing up numbers on the screen about how great he's been compared to Lamar Jackson through the first couple starts. There's one group that absolutely loves the eagles, and that's where we've seen this movement. And that's the reason they got to a peak of four and a half yesterday and then finally, even though Sterling shepherd was out and Tony was out, we finally had another group coming back. This is just kind of insane length four and a half on the road. So that's why it closed like three and a half four. So there was kind of a battle there last week. But you look at where the eagles have done well over the last couple of weeks and you think about some of those games. It's a beaten and battered saints team. It is a fantastic matchup in Denver, where their front 7 is decimated by injury and Jalen hurts doesn't really have to be an effective passer. You can just run the ball 40 times. You had the lions. And the one team that you played within this streak that we don't even think is a great team that we have power rated just going to scare some people below average in the Chargers. You lost that game at home..

"And I kind of have to agree with it because, you know, all their important guys are young and extended for long, long-term contracts, save Quentin Nelson which obviously will happen next year. I love that. I mean, it's a period of transition where you go from one prime. It had a down year or two. The old names we got replaced by new young names that are convenient to the next couple of years and hopefully a golden era for the colts. Man, there's one move the colts made that I thought was amazing that's panned out really, really well. And I think they actually it's good they didn't try to pursue Matthew Stafford. They got a better price on a great quarterback who's younger who let's be honest, I don't know how many more years Matthew Stafford has left. Carson Wentz has got a long future in Indianapolis. And he's been a massive home run. He has I think the best player on the colts, and I think a lot of people look at the record and their losses early and don't understand how well Carson Wentz has been playing. I'm blown away when I watch this guy play football. How do you feel about the way Carson Wentz has played? Do you feel the same way that I do that it's been a massive success? Well, I mean, currently, if I remember reading a stat write over the last four weeks, Carson Wentz has the highest passer rating in the NFL. Over the last four weeks, that that's a huge statement. Taking away that O and three start where we already discussed that, you know, why? Let's say it again. Injuries, you're building chemistry with a new football team. He didn't play much during training camp. His offensive line isn't healthy. I don't think it's fair to hold the first three losses for Indy on Carson Wentz's head. That's just a ridiculous standard to hold the quarterback too. Fully 100% agree. And now that you're starting to see all that kind of come the fruition with this team, Carson Wentz is playing phenomenal. There's going to be a lot of people out there that's going to say, well, in that San Francisco game, he had like four turnover worthy plays. And I'm like, did you see what was going on in that game? You get a pass when there's an atmospheric river, literally that's what it's called passing through San Francisco. Sorry, man, I'm not gonna hold the turnovers against him. Or the turnover worthy pills. I mean, no, Carson Wentz was out there trying to play football in a water polo field. I love it. Well, yeah, that play on second and goal where I felt so bad for him 'cause he's got I think it was just running back open in the flat in the end zone. He tries to flip it to him and the ball just like falls out of his hand 'cause it's literally like waterlogged and you're like, oh, I just, I saw what he was thinking. He got criticized for trying to do too much. I'm like, I don't think he's normally if it's not wet, that's a play he makes, and that's a touchdown. I was just like, I felt bad for him in that play. I am beyond fascinated as to how this season is going to play out. You mentioned the Buccaneers and the Chiefs. There's no doubt going into this season that they are the Kings of the Hill. You can say which road is more rocky Road baby of which is vanilla. Either way, you can make a case on both sides who has more of a rocky road than the other. But I'm with you, in terms of no one should be surprised if they don't get their each of them whether both together individually But I will say this Based on both of those two teams of what happened last year. I think these are these are the two most motivated teams in the NFL. You've got a guy Tom Brady Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If some is good, more is better. Greed is good with him. He wants another world championship and he knows he has the horses to make that happen on both sides of the field, so that motivation is there for him and you can see the Chiefs. The last time we saw them, their quarterback was making some of the greatest incompletions we've seen in the history of both. What's good Two of the best I've ever seen. Yeah, Apparently he was injured in practice on Wednesday. This didn't come from the preseason game that they just played on Friday. That happened early, and then he came back out and he was able to finish practice. But now we find out Shea that he has a back and a neck injury and he's out indefinitely and that comes on the heels. And, like 24 hours, they find out that and then Sam Ehlinger, the backup quarterback as a knee injuries out for 4 to 6 weeks. I think that this Indianapolis team for all the steps forward that they were able to take in the last few weeks, getting Carson Wentz back at practice, the good at least, you know, positive news that they got with Quentin Nelson, who had the same foot injury that Carson once has. That it's not going to be the end of his season, either, And then they're dealt this blow the big one here, though, as I look at all of these injuries and trying to figure out which is the worst one is probably Ehlinger because you don't know when Carson once is really going to be ready to play. So the reason I was thinking Well, maybe he shouldn't do anything was that pain from from a bone surgery? That's actually gonna hurt, like just having a pain ship would would hurt. But if they removed the broken bone, it was actually nothing other than soft tissue to heal. Then he promised he's going to be playing. He's probably good to go because the rain from what I understood this lingering high school issue Basically, the bone had floated into a spot where it was either pushing against other bone or or or basically realigning things in a way that obviously God didn't make him so if you just remove that bone Theoretically, everything else should go back to normal. And obviously it's not to be the case. It's not a functioning bone, because obviously he would have not been able to play correct since high school, always in college, but he did do seven on seven work, which is, you know, it's non stressful. There's nobody rushing you. It's basically just taking your your normal drops, getting on your back foot and letting the ball go. You know, hopefully, you know, beat the DB or whatever it may be. So that's all he did today with seven on seven or he didn't do any teamwork. You didn't do anything, you know, extensive running or things of that nature. But I mean, the fact that he's back out there. It's a good sign. Um, and maybe re re ignites the I don't know the optimism that this Colts team had because after he got heard think we were talking about was mad. This is gonna get ugly. Dominus. Heavy dark. They got to save the preserve their energy, too. But I say I try to stay clear training camp fight. Now one of my guys got into it. You know you got to add on because we definitely watched the tape after the fight, and it's going to be pointed out if you didn't act accordingly for your teammates. You got to show up. And, um never you never pull your own god of the power. You pull another color jersey. You always got your teammates back. We definitely watched that film and break it down.
