"Performing Live action remake such as Dumbo. Mary poppins I think it's GonNa do somewhere in the middle in April. We're going to see on April the third that weekend the new mutants Peter Rabbit to the runway. The Love Birds Words and Saint Mon- of those four. I might say the new mutants. Because that's the one that's been heavily scrutinized parts of it were redone. You know the Disney Fox merger really put a Kink into that movie scheduled. They moved it to another weekend. Because of it. Your thoughts on the new mutants real quick. Yeah I mean I don't know what to expect from. I don't know I haven't really watched a lot of the trailers I saw the first one. Now it's supposed to be a slash ashhore film I also know that the they've had to delete some tweets this weekend regarding its place in the EU if it is a part part of the MC you might be another like Amy Pascal comment. You know she's talking to Kevin Feige and he shakes his head on camera But no I mean I'm hopeful for this is either going to be the beginning of mutants in the MC you or the end of the last X.. Men Franchise soldiers have to wait and see right after that. We got the biggest favorite to do well in the month of April. And that's the the last James Bond movie with Daniel Craig. No time to die and you and I will be going over over. This probably in the coming months is do we think it's looking really good. And we're both very interested in seeing it on the weekend of April Seventeenth you've got charm city kings and I think people are just still going to be interested in what's going on with no time to die. That came out the weekend before you. Also the horror movie antlers and monster problems withdrawal withdrawals going wide on the weekend of the seventeenth but again unless I see more from those two movies I don't have very much faith and damned supplanting. The James Von Movie movie no time to die at least at that point in time in the schedule and in the last weekend of April April twenty four. You've got bad trip. Antebellum and Fatuma. I'm GonNa ask you this when it comes to those wide releases also the ones I mentioned previously going all the way back to the tenth. Could it be a situation Russian. I guess that's a whole other thing but then again you know like you said there's not a lot of movies coming out in that small. Release a windows. So I'm actually really curious curious to see how it stacks up wind. Black widow comes out like 'cause that'll be the first marvel film to come out Po- Spiderman and this is one that is pre avenger. So it's like it's a weird time line jump but yeah I'm curious to see how they stack up against each other. How is black widow even going to do it? There are still some good movies. "I think i actually might might've known oh because i'm sure that by that time that i watched episode my mother had introduced me you too where this came from and i'd seen the sketch. I knew the show i think i think i understood it now. I don't think i understood it fully end deeply but at least knew who misses her wiggins was you were way ahead of me. The i know i hear you zoom in past beat sound right past me. I wasn't even sure this was a pucklechurch faculty reference. It's one of those. I was flipping through the script saw that i don't even think it registered when she said it in the episode <hes> and and i just thought she was coming up with a funny name. We're maybe that it was even that secretary's name in didn't remember it right. I should just adding a uh-huh onto it. Yeah had no idea what she was talking about so you were his way ahead of me yeah because when we were talking about this you you said oh. I don't even know if that's a reference and i was like oh. I know what that is. Let's do that archie comics all over again yeah but also like so many other references says that you've known that i haven't new. It's kinda funny how that works. It sounds like we complete each other jerry maguire style. Yes also have never seen jerry maguire so there we go exhibited. Were even for the day okay well. Should we dig into this reference. <music> hallet's so mrs <unk> wiggins she comes from mhm a series of sketches on the one the only carol burnett show carol burnett actress comedian so talented. She's still with us to have a show anymore because it was in the seventies so it's like it's okay. It was a variety show. Variety like is just the perfect word for it because they were singing. There's huge dance numbers but there are lots and lots of comedic sketches incapable net was the host the redhead and she had on regulars really funny people all people what were their names tim conway <hes> vicky warren's harvey korman lyle wagner partner and ernie anderson where the people across the whole series that were in about one hundred episodes or more mom and i knew about this show from my mom. She loved the show so we definitely watched some together for our episode. She said that tim conway was definitely only her favorite lionel just not on par with the others so funny talking such trash about him. Yes so variety show to t- like every week was totally different but it was every week and like people crowded around their tv fork who's back when there are only a few channels on oh and probably was in black and white right because it was before we were born. Oh yeah definitely accept no just kidding in color back in the show ran for a total of two hundred and seventy nine episodes woo dang. That's a lot it was eleven seasons rian from nineteen sixty seven to nineteen seventy eight and over the course of that period had twenty five emmy wins in out of seventy nominations it one outstanding variety series three times ten conway one outstanding supporting performer music variety three times. This issue is basically just had a lot going on yeah and it was every saturday night but it was not s._n._l. It was a little before us than the meaning it came on before s._n._l. 'cause they overlapped a little bit right wanted us start nineteen seventy five yeah and this i went through nineteen seventy eight so there was a little bit overlap..

"Second director on Sambol Espanol in Pucklechurch Santa playing guitar coming up here, right after the news. Got a great text from eight one five that's an earlier when we were talking about fishing. The great point to say I heard you said I I love how you said I did fishing in wonder lake that's not how you say it. Earlier in the show, I was saying, I'm going fishing this weekend. And I was a kind of chicken about the fact that. I'm looking forward to it and not looking for it at the same time I want to catch a fish, but I, I don't have a long standing tradition would fishing. I have a favorite story when I was in live growing up wonder lake it started to rain and my dad, and I run a peer and my dad was casting. The rain was coming out. One more one more swing beach down swing beach. It was swing slide. Center. Those are the names of the beaches anyway. Swing beach, and one more one more rain to come on, and he caught a huge carp. Right. Well, we got it right. When it was raining. And it was like gross. Sort of, like I mean, okay if you didn't catch it. There's a great story, also we're up in boulder junction up in northern Wisconsin. Very out there for lakes and we were dead to sin this boat and a little boat. My mom was there. And we were casting and just kind of doing off the boat and kept getting stuck in the weeds scientists all that's like ninety percent of fishing. What does that does? That does that fit knows a tire, or it's, it's a weed or it's a, you know, some sort of seaweed, or whatever you see we'd again, fishing knowledge. So my mom was holding it, and she's like, it's in my dad's like I think he got something there. Jackie I think he got something. She's like it's used the weeds Lenny and this northern pike those things are nasty man. They got like teeth and the whole bit. It came out like an old Milwaukee commercial, like walking like flipping out of the water like. And it came down and my mom, just through the fishing rod into the water. My dad reached over and he grabbed it, and he bought the fish and he'd got the fish, and I don't even know again with four if you're real Fisher and you take back, it's, you know, skin, the fish and do the little things things like that. In this case northern pike. What are you gonna do with it? I don't know. So that's some looking forward to fishing. And as I said, taking my son with my dad for Father's Day. We're going out there. My brother will be there, too. And I said, we'll we'll fish until the whining starts, and I'm not talking about my son. I'm talking about me..

"Hop online. Check it out. Puck valley city dot com or stop at their showroom. Seven twenty one west main valley city you drive. They'll ride with you. Of course, that beautiful location. Pucklechurch in Bismarck as well. North Dakota's home for Chevy stopping Scott since you. All right. Twenty one past the hour. And we are rolling on live from drone focus, my friend, Tom Sawyer is here. Hello, tom. I scott. How are you, welcome? Welcome to you this time. You're in our world. This is your turf. I'm here invading your two in the green room. We're all the speakers kind of hang out. So this is none of them could avoid us. We've capture them and we put microphones on that we've invaded their space, cool kid, sweets. Yeah. Exactly. Right. So bring me back to the first time you heard North Dakota. You a you know, Grand Forks air force base, and the, the original vision behind grand sky. And, and, you know, sort of what you envision might might happen. Scott that as a, a surreal memory for me. That's back in September two thousand eleven and I had traveled here as part of a consulting assignment with a friend of mine by name of Jeff Donohoe who was the prime contractor to the base realignment impact committee in Grand Forks group of people group of really committed, and concerned, citizens who are worried about with the future of their base of Grand Forks air force base. What it was going to be. And they hired us to give a put together a feasibility study of what could the community due to invest in the air force base. The economic transaction between a base in the community is such that the base usually contributes a lot to the community and these very visionary, community leader said, what can we do to invest in the base? How do we reverse that paradigm and make a community investment in the base, so that the military looks at Grand Forks air force base and says? Wow. This is a place where we really want to be and do business ourselves. So did did back of your mind. Then the, you know, the wheels start to turn and started to see that. Hey, this, this, this might be something that we could we could do something. Well, we knew something we can do something with. But I got to be completely honest, here I had no idea what a drone was other than movies and hearing about things like that. I had zero familiar ago, eight years ago, didn't really understand it put in the process of a mere four days. As of walking around Grand Forks in interviewing, a great number of people from the university to the test site in such, which were in place, which we're starting out at that point, the test, I wasn't awarded yet at that point. But the people were, you know, engaged in and building it and then talking about this and realizing holy cow. The future of aviation is in unmanned systems and unmanned aircraft. And understanding the way the military was going to start looking at it meant that by some, some point in time who knew when, but at some point the commercial sector was going to be taking on the same level of responsibilities with the same level of aircraft that the military use, and we are right on the cusp of that right now. So bring me eight years ahead now to, to what's there and, you know, from that, original dot starting to connect with folks about in a realignment the base for using space that they weren't using anymore. What we have now described for what for folks what we have now short. So what we have now is a one of a kind facility in the United States of America. This is a. Commercial large US business park. We're focused on the biggest drones from a sixty foot wingspan to one hundred thirty foot wingspan, which is a size of seven thirty seven we are working with companies general atomics, and north on those kinds of aircraft testing training, hanging different kinds of sensors and equipment on them sometimes under commercial contracts, sometimes under DOD contracts to test that equipment to demonstrate what that equipment can do. This is one of the few places in the country that you can launch an aircraft. In fact, some would argue the only place I never say never, but the only place in the country where a commercial large AS, General Thomas owns them, can launch an aircraft into the national airspace. Without a chase plane were the only place you can do that particular activity. And there's a lot of other things that they can do, so right now, there is there about one hundred seventy or so people that show up at grand sky, every day for work. There's over. Fifty million dollars of private investment in just the facilities just the bricks and mortar alone that doesn't include the tens of million dollars of aircraft that are also operating there, there, are we just conducted of a week or two of twenty four seven operations so twenty four seven there were planes, coming and going out of grand sky day and night, which is only accomplishable with our partners at the air force. And I would be remiss if I didn't say thank you very much to the state legislature, who have appropriated some funds, we operate on a military base. So you can't tax that property, as easily, as you might be able to tax normal business development and neural business park development. So the state was generously, granted money to build infrastructure, the roads, the pipes, the wires the security, the base things that we need to be able to allow those buildings to be built. So the state put about eighteen million dollars into grant sky and the private sector responded with fifty million more. So that's a great three to one leverage on that state investment. We're really excited about. That in the jobs in his creating create an annual impact of nineteen million dollars in annual wages just from grand sky alone. I don't know if we can put into words, you know, the level of quality kind of company that Northrop Grumman, general atomics. Right. Just phenomenal. Right. It's incredible. And what did they say about opera and hear what did they say about being in your grand sky for? So they there are great parts of it about every February after a good long winter, the folks start getting a little antsy about snowed-out t know the snow is caked up against the gate and sometimes causes of the longest.

"We're back with another episode of the pop culture cosmos, by name is zero glass roof from pop culture, cosmos and game source. We truly appreciate everyone out there listening to all of our programs. And boy, did we have a great two weeks. T- what people listening from all over the world are numbers couldn't have gotten any higher. I just cannot think everyone for listening to Oliver shows as we entered new platforms including Bullhorn pod, coin. He is our own Jay are token of humanity media. You gotta check out everything going on today at humanity. Comedian dot com humanity comedian on Facebook YouTube Instagram, and so much more. It is my good friend. It is. Josh Peterson degree may the fourth and Cinco de Maya weekend. My friend, dude, I watch Star Trek all day yesterday. Except for hopefully you miss the odd. Number one's wrath of Khan return. Con the rebirth of con- resurrection of con-. I just watched all the cons, you know what a con job indeed. Hey. Thank you. I'll be here all week. Please try to Bill, but it is going to be a great episode. We've got for everyone today. We've got Andrew Davis from the pop anime comics lounge. He's stopping by the show to talk about a lot of things going on into future of the marble Siamak universe emanating, from some of the events of vendors and game, our conversation kind of goes a little bit tiny bit into the spoiler area but not too much of you haven't seen in game. It's not going to give away too much for you. We try to go ahead and touch on the future of M C you. So he's going to talk to me about that here coming up in a bit. Plus also as well with a token biopic. Coming up later this week, it's going to debut in theaters some antipated for it thinking that maybe people will go ahead and get into the Lord of the rings. We're gonna talk about if that could be the case, especially with also a series coming out some point of time from Amazon as well. Plus we're gonna be talking about the. Anime fans that are out there that enjoy their enemy, including Mr. Josh right here and the reason why saying because he recently made some purchases that took him back to his fondness for anime in the ninety s I noticed as far as online and the love for anime. It seems to be split from the very old to the very new as far as people kind of being divisive split in the anime universe. So we'll talk about the divisiveness among anime fans about which is better as far as animated from the past, or anime, that's current and outstanding, but my friend, it's all about the vendors and game again I'm sorry to keep on telling us to you. I know you guys just did another spoiler counts for the topic Oculus, but it's still in the news, my friend game of thrones and avengers, Inc game. While game of thrones is heating up back again for another battle this time in king's landing vendors and game is still doing great numbers. It did about one hundred forty five to one hundred fifty million. Domestically at the box office this weekend. It is now at the time you hear this the number two all time movie out there worldwide ever garnering just under two point two billion dollars. So I ask you, my friend, if that's the case it still needs about six hundred million more to go before it reaches that upper echelon aka number one slot beating out avatar, which I'm going to be honest with you. I'm rooting for all the way your thoughts on a possibly doing that. I know we talked about in the past, you know that being a possibility three billion out around. But now that the numbers are hard and clear, and it's now down in black and white on all that. We now have a realization that it still has a long way to go and six hundred million dollars. While it is in the range is not necessarily given. I let me say that I hope it smashes, avatar two pieces because I love James Cameron. But that guy's. He's so full of like he will not come down off of his avatar cloud. Get let me ask you this. How many interviews do you think he's going to have in regards to superheroes genre, once again, in the next couple of weeks per se, we'll probably a lot because he's sitting there, I guarantee watt fallen these box office numbers hoping that he won't have to eat his shoe in about a week. So get off my lawn type comment. Right. Right. But the thing is like he's a talented man. But he forgets that his whole career was started. It was he was skyrocketed to fame and fortune through franchises. Right. The big franchises. So he doesn't really have any room to talk about superhero franchises. Not being good because they have touched audiences in a way that he has. I mean, I wouldn't even say like he's he's ever done. Yet is data shine and Terminator two pretty good ending aliens. Yeah. No, they were excellent movies. But like their niche audiences right? Same thing with avatar, same thing with Titanic. But, you know, a superhero movies are getting people who never leave the house. House to go. See movies out to go see movies, like it's creates a pop culture phenomenon nothing that he's ever made his created in entire community around it. I would love to see him kind of eat his words a little bit. And then maybe step down from his Hightower, and make something that's not avatar it reached two billion dollars in eleven days as opposed to avatar that reached that plateau of two billion dollars in forty seven days, very different roads to the money at made avatar seemed to have that slow build week after week after week and you were talking about people getting out of the house. They eventually got out of the house for avatar, because they kept on going back to it and watching it, but it was something like a slow growth, weakened weak out, and eventually, it got over that hump, and eventually got to the point where it did just under two point eight billion dollars. So it is now a wait and see for everybody out there. I think you're going to find out by this time next weekend, whether or not it. It will surpass avatar. I think that's probably what we're going to be talking about next weekend is, if it's I'm not saying it doesn't have to pass it by next weekend. I'm just saying it has to be close, and if it's in up range, and it has the type of box office numbers where it's fifty to sixty percent decline like it is doing right now continuously over the long haul domestic and international. It's still has enough plane still has enough room to be number one, and I'm hoping hoping hoping hoping that it will as much as at the time, people loved avatar I think people are enjoying adventures in game so much more and to me vendors and game is going to have that cultural footprint, as both myself and rob McCallum once talked about a longtime back that avatar does not have, and did not have because after the avatar craze for what about a year year and a half wore off it just disappeared from pop culture. And people just didn't seem to want to go ahead and delve back into it. So that's why no. Nobody was really clamoring for an avatar two three four not. Maybe they'll regain that interest in it again. I know you won't. But maybe there is. I mean, they're still enough interest to have a ride at DisneyWorld and exhibit down there and all that. But still, there's, there's not quite enough, there, yet to capture the imagination as what the vendors did that built it up over the course of twenty plus movies. So I'm hoping like you are that vendors and game does beat it again. It needs about another six hundred billion dollars in order to go ahead and do that. I think we'll know our answer by this time next weekend. And I'm so eager to find out what that will be. But I'm gonna lean yes I'm gonna lean. Yes, that it probably will beat it, but not by a whole lot. I don't know if he's three billion dollars now, because now that it's getting a little bit down enthusiast, a little bit esteem that, it's, it's getting kind to if you point but we'll have to wait and see. It's to something that's going to be very exciting. And like you, my friend. I'm hopeful that the number one. Movie of all time, we'll be vendors and game. Did you see Vanity Fair wrote this piece? And they're saying how even if vendors does pass avatar doesn't deserve to pass avatar like they're saying that because, you know, movie tickets are so much higher. Now an avatar opened on. Inflation and all that. But I mean that's stupid that's completely stupid because that doesn't mean anything. If anything, it means avengers better because people are paying the extra money to go out and see it, right? Like avatar tickets back, then I wanna say cost like twelve bucks. And now they cost fifteen sixteen dollars. So if probably more s- in some cases like on the east coast up to twenty. Yeah. Yeah. So if anything, the fact that people are going out and paying this money to go see these movies what it shows is that it's a better movie because it's actually or more people wanna go see it. So I don't really think that inflation really means anything here. And if you just it for inflation, actually, I believe, gone with the wind would be number one based off the criteria. That's involved. If anybody wants to understand what that means checkout, and I'll give them some process because they just do such a great job over there, boxoffice, Mojo. They have charts for pretty much everything that's been done as far as movies are concerned, number one right now is gone with the wind. I think that's something that if people need to get into as far. Far as the adjustment for inflation ratio. I think if anything and any other movie besides avatar can make that claim. I think it's gone with the wind because the sheer number of people that were actually so excited for it, but we'll have to wait and see. What's going on as far as the numbers are concerned? I think it does deserve it if it does make it because you're right man. I'm axed three d how much is okay? Three separate. I'm access separate and then they also have I max three d correct. Yeah, there's I max and then you have the like the different version of the sound in seventy most, I think, and that, that you have all that stuff and people are paying to go see like all of those different methods of seeing this movie are packed out. So avatar releasing was three D. So I, I don't think that the inflation really means anything because if anything like people are going to actually going to three D I max doing the sound thing, and the what like the high luxury theaters that are supposed to serve drinks and stuff. People are paying money to go sit in. These super expensive theaters to see this movie and the first time we washed it, we all watched him for five bucks. A piece suckers. But then I went back and paid for pop for another showing with the full recliner, deal and all that. And that's another thing you have the old standard theaters. You still have drive in theaters playing it. And also was well, you've got the new fancy theaters that have the reclining seats which the trend is going towards two and most of the years will be doing that at some point in time within the next ten years, the years like the one we went to at SAM's town, which is still very solid. Unfortunately, those theaters will become at some point in time, thing of the past, so you're right to me. I think the numbers aside, I think it's still very impressive. What vendors and game is doing. And if it passes, avatar it deserves, it, and people shouldn't be able to have to argue about that. If you're going to argue about avatar, then you're going to argue about gone with the wind the ritual Star Wars, people were waiting in long lines for that at a mile long lines with limited number theaters. Same thing with gone with the wind. I've already told you the story many times about. Empire Strikes Back and all that. So you know what each and every generation as its own things gone through, but you know what? We're now in a true pop culture, phenomenon and a true pop culture celebration. When it comes to vendors and game I'm excited for it. I'm excited that happened. I've truly glad to be a part of it. I know you are as well. I know many others aren't joining it and treating it as a true pop culture event. And you know again, I hope it hits number one. What are your thoughts out there on vendors and game possibly hitting the number one all-time out there in the world box office? Beating out avatar. Are you hoping for are you ruining against it? "We're just going to we're going to have a little bit about like where we were in the world as a minute mention we both graduated high school in nineteen ninety five. And and we, you know, we've podcast about specific years before because we did the festival show, and we talked about just the music of nineteen ninety six and the summer of nineteen Ninety-six, especially we did point out that of that. Of that. That was actually right before the two of us met in person started going out on. So we we both. We just will happen at graduate from separate high schools in completely separate states in the same year. So it's one of those milestone years, although says looking back through it. I'm looking through television and movies and things their other years. I think that were like Pucklechurch wise citing better here and there ninety four I do a whole year's or the podcasts about five years ago about nineteen ninety four it's like a very huge year when it comes to pop culture on those first first I ever had you wanna show because that's the year. We sat down and talked about we watched their thanksgiving's the giving specials nursing. So we're gonna do is. We're gonna go through a television, movies and music. But I wanted to ask, you know. It's head of this milestone year in our lives, even though I think the two of us don't hold up high school is like the most important years of our lives or anything. But you just kind of like remember could've Mark Mark time over the course of your life. So like put yourself back in nineteen ninety five like, you know, where work you, you know, it actually this this episode is while time because we've got that been of crap in our. And the majority of the crap is mine, which already Marie condo, the the microbe. Of my middle school yearbooks, which are just. God documentation of a terrible time in my life is is a tween, and my there was this scrapbook that you've got with all of your Justin's paraphanelia leaning got your rain, and you got your cards is very low tech. We still have Burs not have more phones. And you know, the little Wallace pictures of everybody will it came with this book that you were supposed to document a year in the life or whatever. And so I was flipping through it. And it was just interesting that you had to write down like the super live who you thought was best roster. This that the other. I can't remember half the people I wrote in less, and it was funny. I guess if I had to say, I was anywhere. I mean, obviously, I was in Stafford Virginia I did not date anyone ever in high school because I was determined to get the hell out of Stafford Virginia. I always have my I own a prize in that price was getting the hell out of there. I it depends on what time of what time of nineteen ninety five. But as of April of nineteen ninety five I had gotten accepted into the so I felt pretty okay about life because I was getting out of there. And I was going to, you know, a great school one time I'll have to go off on a taste about hell dumb. I was as a college applicant. I was a I'm a first generation college attendee slash graduate and tell the story a lot because my parents God bless than they had no idea how to apply for college. Okay. So the tangent is now sometimes now. And I I applied to four-hole schools UVA, Georgetown, UNC Chapel Hill and William and Mary because the only rule my mom gave me was that for every out of state school apply to a head to apply to little of dumb me applied to four schools, which I would never recommend anybody do because it was it. I don't know what I was thinking. I don't know. Why thought I could get into all for those schools, but for the record I got into UNC Chapel Hill got in the William, and Mary I got waitlisted at Georgetown, ultimately declined to my heart because that's where I wanted to go, and I got accepted in the VA..

"Like Damian Chazelle I in here, he had it before lowlands, but he was like, I'm gonna make. I mean, I'm gonna put Ryan Gosling space. That's awesome. Love that decision. This is Barry Jenkins his first post moonlight movie and what he's done, what he has created like. Even if the movie sucks. This is the most beautiful trailer music I've ever heard in my life the most beautiful trailer. Listen, there are a whole movies that are not as pretty as this trial. Oh my gosh, like you should win short film just this trailer. And I say that someone I understand I get overwhelmed, but this is so good. I went down a rabbit hole, looking up the guy and trying to get the music and I couldn't find his name's nNcholas Patel. Some waiting for it to come out, but I just I love the, it's it's strange that in twenty eighteen year of our Lord, nothing romance, movies, starring black actors. And so when you see that, you're like, whoa, isn't this crazy? No, not. It's not crazy at all, but the way he's done, it is so beautiful and so perfect. And it's so features Queen Regina king who was probably one of my favorite character actresses that I just don't think it's enough credit and I know she wins like Emmys and stuff, but she's all she's so good in this movie. I'm so excited. I will say how to listen. I am very excited and they're coming. They're coming out on Christmas day, which. Always a good sign. Movies that come out on Christmas day are usually from the studios perspective, the movie that is either going to make the most money or when the most Oscar, and so two movies that are coming out on Christmas day or on the basis of sex, which is about Ruth Bader Ginsburg look, that's not what I cannot wait, because I know that that means that Kate McKinnon is going to be playing repeater for a lot. The rest of this year I take. I don't enjoy her Ruth Bader Ginsburg no, get outta my face. Nobody wants to talk to you anymore. This is now the podcast pajamas. Fay quickly and then vice, oh my gosh, this looks incredible. You guys vice is the epic story of how Dick Cheney became Dick Cheney hole in Asia. We give a trigger warning for people who want their Schwantz stick to stick to movies, six Pucklechurch talking about politics. I know it's not look. Listen, Dick Cheney story is really, really fantastic. Like this is a guy who served so many presidents like it's really astounding, but the trailer, what's beautiful about it is you do not know that is Christian bale it is unreal Christian bale and I like Chris amount. Listen, I loved the big short. I loved it because again, Christian bell did something that you almost couldn't recognize man, and he did it with Adam. McKay is Adam McKay one of the best directors that's I'd literally have that like reasons why you should see this movie. Number one, it's Adam McKay who I think is the next great American director. What is it about this is the guy whose daughter is Pearl. The landlord like I cannot believe it like it's really like, I'm almost like genuinely happy for him. I'm so happy, I think, but I think there's something about starting like SNL earlier and like building up to getting too serious and not just starting Syria. So I think he brings an offbeat since ability comedic community, especially to the serious movies about serious things. And it gives it some creams because I think if you're a whatever your political persuasion is, you might see this was going to be propaganda about Republicans or Dick Cheney or George abuse. I don't think that's what this movie is. I think it's just kind of a retelling of a story. It's meant to persuade you a certain way, but I'm here for Sam Rockwell's George W Bush. It's not really doors of your Bush, but I'd love the impersonate just like I like SNL impersonations of celebrities and whatever. I like his. I like the tension of Christian Bale's did Cheney which is calm. And thoughtful and scrutinizing and joist, and Sam Ruggles. George w. Bush where he's just like molesting buffalo wings and talking to him at the same time, and it's just the greatest. I think, in a nutshell, that's what the movies probably going to be in love it so much for sure and that and it goes to what you said about supporting cast..

"The only complaint I have about the show is he is he's taking out a lot of Republican idiots. I wish you would take like super liberal idiots in similar ways because it would be just as he's do like, take the. He does have a character that SATA that satirizes like like foo. I don't know, like the ways the way introduces himself. Ciss Ciss, wait professor and I apologize for it or something like that. Right. So it Saturday satirizes that a little bit. But I wish he would use a character like that too. Like cetera is real people because I think it would be more fun if you were like taking both sides, both sides have some room to be made fun of yet. That's a very, very small quibble because the show is it is his his hit the way he embodies characters is so insane. And he, it's so funny, it's it's great. It's I think he's, I think such Barikot and his funniest dude ever been around. He's awesome, and he gives people enough rope to hang on cells. Sometimes he doesn't give them anything and they do it on their own. That's. So he's like Dick Cheney was on. He was saying supercrew. It's not like he's just like small people at. So, yeah, I think after the eight or nine years of Kobe report that the Republican legislators and you know, people would take closer look at the invitation given. But they're not gonna recognize the Nate the fake name using. So no, like, yeah, this purports to be whatever limit least. Yeah, yeah. Have your people do some background. I mean, I I'm sure that some people refuse to do the show because they figure out that he might not be someone work with. So anyway, that's it's, it's worth Nathan. Fielder has something to do with the two. So that makes he's. I mean, basically Nathan for you came after daily Jesus and it's definitely inspired by it. I would imagine, and it's neat that they worked together on this. Cool a recommendation. All right, right to Pucklechurch continue. But Jimmy, Alexa. Pat will tell you the rest of the things you must do rate us highly, I tunes and writer review. "All right. Here's the deal. We fought back in the day. I'm talking to you on the second row back in the day. We try to enter views and we wouldn't even talk to people live like we just made them answer our questions and we would then just respond. It was weird, but one of our friends, the first ever agree to do it with our dear friend. Sophie. She was one of our, I guess. One of our first guest at our live show here in Birmingham. We did our first live show. She agrees to a lot of things for us. We should ask her for money. We'll ask her when she comes back. So if there for those who don't know. So if you had is I am toxic human, but also fantastic writer. She has written four books. Most recently, she did a journaling devotional that you can get. We highly recommend it. It's a green light for sure. She also started blogging in two thousand five, two thousand five. Thanks at byu mama dot net, which by the way, if you go to be on a dot com, you're safe searchable, don't do that. I understand what she didn't get that. So please give podcast. Welcome to soapy head thin. Glad you're here. Thanks, Jamie, so fun. One of our favorite parts about Sophie is like she is as invested in Pucklechurch as we are. So there's a lot of our conversations and that's why tonight we wanna talk, we know she likes good movie like we do. So we want to have a conversation about movies, but kind of not about movies. It's more like the pet peeves associated of going to the movie theater, the theater and having that experience in life. Well, I go to the theater more nail that I used to because I was in English teacher for a long time, and there was a there was about fifteen years of my life when I couldn't get into movie without like, shh, you know, like I wanted everybody around me to be like I wanted to correct the, let's maybe ever by the leaving the seats, anybody so. So it's only been in the last four or five years back in the swing of it. That's Martin. Oh, that's good. Okay. So let's talk. Let's kind of go back and forth. Jamie. What is when you go to the theater? What is your biggest pet peeve? Okay. My biggest pet even. I'm know that some of you think I do this, I know you think I do and it's talking, okay. Yeah, it's the worst. And here's the deal. Some of your, like it's tally fainting. Not high. It's not not by healers and like you can't process the plot out loud. This is not your living room. We are here with you shut. I like when they're like, that's great Kinnear. Is that Greg Kinnear? What's he does? He do? What is that? It's not a good. It's good. Also the whisper screen when people are doing that, we're thank you. Can't hear them. Doral love that is definitely hear everything you're saying. I want wanna be friends with them. Is there ever an appropriate time for someone to talk in a movie if someone's super hot. Okay. And they're in a hot moment. Okay. And then you can turn Aaron the edge moon and just be like, right. Can can we finish the thought on hot moment? What does that mean? So are you what about like noises? Are you pro like a like a like that? Is that count is talking or is that bad? That's creepy. To be clear out. I'm Jamie not not done that. I'm not gonna say that like in the word when he's only in gene that I didn't go. With thousands knee. In a moment, and then I sit down, I didn't like talk. That's. Yeah. So if we give us an example of when you're Pepys most recent pet peeve is the people's phone screens. Maybe it's time to put him away. Everybody like if we need a countdown, I don't know what we need to. We need to put the phone screen. The worst recently was in the post what I'm about to see the post. There was a God friend of mine. He Snapchat at the whole thing. Oh, someone you don't know. What would you Snapchat. Dishonoured Merrill for one that's an acceptable. You don't dishonor your. That's probably not biggest thing right now is your their phones away like he don't need heads tax, but they're having problems. Then they don't. Maybe it'd be amazing. Are you okay?.
