"I do. So I actually just gave a seminar a couple of months ago to the math and statistics department at Texas tech university. And for many years, one of my graduate students was always from Alex turn dad, who's one of the faculty there in math and statistics. I always had one of his graduate students working with me because I need somebody who has a solid grounding in math and statistics to do a lot of the work that I do. So it's a very small world and 40 points you can actually. I love that you brought that up. So when I came to Texas tech, I've been there for 15 years now. I was the only person doing anything related to climate science there. I was all by myself, and I really struggled to find a place because the reason I ended up there was because they wanted my husband. I was the plus one who came along for the ride, so to speak. So I found some friendly faces and people over in the biology department who were studying ecosystems and how they responded to warmer temperatures. And together, we sort of built on that foundation. Applied for grants ended up hosting a climate science center, which is partially supported by the department of interior. And now we have a climate center at Texas tech university, which as you know, Lubbock is the second most conservative city in the whole U.S. politically speaking. Provo Utah number one, Texas empire Lubbock number two. We have a climate center that has faculty associates from over 50 faculty associates from just about every department and just about every college in the whole university. Is that not amazing?.

You just heard Chris Porter from Liberty Saves of Atlanta. Chris is a great guest. I love to have Mom because I know so little about states, but I find them fascinating because everybody grows up. They see him on TV. That's right. You see guys put the stethoscope up to the safe and start turning it. And then next thing you know Richard Dawson and Hogan's Heroes has that safe open in their their bombing of ball bearing plant title. Dorf, you know, and so, but is that possible? Can you do that? Is that can you break kind of break into a safe with Do I need one of those to break into a safe? No. There were actually some people in this world who are very talented and they can actually do what's called a manipulation attack and actually feel their way to the dial on a safe It's an amazing thing to watch. Not something anyone really ever has to worry about. All those guys are very highly paid in the only break into very expensive vault. So we're all safe. My listeners and I are all safe before. Or are they made overseas elsewhere, So virtually all of the safe that we sell are made domestically. There are either made and Fontana, California. Or they're made in Provo, Utah. Now there are some states that we do that do come imported for manufacturers, but we try very hard only source American made safe. That's good to know It's good to know. You pirates take that flag daf apps state neutral site games. Greenville all right yeah. We're in trouble plane if there's one play on here that i don't trust the colorado one because they did not look good against northern colorado to head to beautiful provo utah. Utah a seven point favorite. Byu at home byu plus two thirty on the money. Line total in forty eight. Utah's been red hot. Ats eleven and five against the spread. Their last sixteen games and six and one against the spread and their last seven road games. Who byu kinda let arizona hang around. But now i'm back. And maybe that's the case my instincts normally handicap and rivalry games is to take the dog. Especially when it's a home. Dog catching a full touchdown. Kramer any chance. You're laying seven here with utah. I mean we. We do love. Our guy charlie brewer. Yes college football tournament beim last summer when they when they cancelled all sports. And we still brought you a college football tournament. That had more than four teams. I i hate the way my card is looking. Because i feel chaki. I told you i wanted to fade. Byu team coming into the season. I faded them week one with arizona. I'm gonna fade them here again week too. I do expect you to be one of the premier teams in the pac twelve. When all said and done and i hate this is on the road but again we highlighted how much. Byu was replacing. this offseason. so i don't think i saw anything in barely beating what we think is maybe the worst one of the worst teams in the pac twelve in arizona. Who knows after. My dad came through their radar to me. I think the plus seven nature of this number is maybe gonna trick some some square. Sharps into thinking. They're taking a nice home dog spot. But yeah gimme utah to spoil despoil things in provo and and So call over there parade mr square sharp. I'm taking byu plus seven. It's the holy war a rivalry game. They're going to be jacked up for they're going make and we didn't caf- coffee before the game getting ready to go. We want to stand on the other side. We take get this game last year. Unfortunately that look. And utah's one. I think eight in a row. Earn eight ro- believe but look through these scores with the exception of nineteen which obviously the most recent one thirty to twelve but before that one score game in salt lake city for that one game before that at one point game before that one score game one score game three point game in all these clothes schedule this is. This is what you gotta do. You gotta take the points here and trust the process trust. The process airforce knows how to identify public dogs. He is an airforce heads. Antipolis maryland squaring off against navy airforce lane six and a half total sitting at forty one. Man i do like this air force team but again rivalry game home dog with navy navy if you look at their They've been outscored ten last two season openers to me. It's a simple as air. Force knows how to throw the forward pass. Navy does not case closed on the handicap and give me air force mine. Six and a half kobe. What am i missing here Well i think. I mean i was shocked. That marshall did that to navy. I was completely shocked by that. But i think this is. This is the big game for nine. Eleven they're doing a big ceremony. Nine eleven twenty years since nine eleven. And i just think last year air force beaten forty two seven right but navy had both teams had covert But navy was really depleted with cove in that particular game I think this is a closer game. Scores indicate gimme navy and the points. Airforce probably gets the win by beginning navy in the points. I mean isn't navy. One of those teams when they made that decision to stop practicing football that we just jot that down in our bullock say they cover goddamn spread. Man maybe we need to fade this team. Their navy is still stuck in auto fade for me. I'm with you sean. I'm so chalky this week call. He call a forced. My hand is chuck is colby. Who has i mean good. Three dogs are no you. "What am i doing wrong and you know so. That's something that. I don't think that i ever tried to force them into because it just felt like it wasn't good a good fan. Yeah or my dancers you know and i admire teams that do it. I love it. I think it's incredible and the stamina and the athleticism that goes into the pictures. I love it. Yeah but yeah. If if it doesn't fit don't force your foot and shoe that does not fit exact. Prepare right you know. And that was kind of scary too. Because when india opened up the open division it basically was organized for the teams who were kind of being. They were discouraged that you know every year. They were never making finals. And stuff so it kind of was developed for that purpose. And you know as we were looking at it. You know those who were coaches from the outside going. This could be a really good thing and Tom casella from thousand was the first one who was brave enough to take the lead and go into that division and turned it into something completely different because once he did it right in a lot of teams. You know thought okay. I don't wanna do palm jazz and hip hop one routine. I wanna be able to having artistic vision of ajar. Yeah explorer assets. Exactly yeah laura concept and not have to like thirty seconds stretch yes so anyway so once we saw them do it my dancers kind of big. They're like we wanna go into the open you know and and we all felt frustrated with the fact that our palm scores were always low and i'm talking significantly lower coach so it wasn't like you know nine point one. It was like a seven iii. Yeah whenever yeah. When everything else was like a nine point nine it was like how do i overcome. Yeah i even brought in. You know like our cheer coach to help buzz and things like that. So that was a good thing for us and then Then decided that we wanted to to hip hop the first year they have pop was in two thousand and ten and we had taken a year off in two thousand nine so we didn't wanna jump in rightly in that hit activision so we waited year but we came in in two thousand eleven and melanie. I wish i had videos. And i wish i was recording. Because you know who would have thought that a group of mormon girls from provo utah would even be any way competitive in hip hop. I know it's crazy. It's just kind of runs against totally. I thought we were. And so you know in my dancers. Were so funny. We were in the in the warm-up area and they were trying to tell the looks we were getting people like byu really going to try to impede in hip hop and they were throwing in a little roger. rabbit and couch..

"Yes. True. I went to Provo Utah one time and I went into a knitting store off. Okay, of course, it was probably the size of a football field. Wow. Okay, it wasn't filled with product. It was just a very large space and like the counter was like all the way at the back and it was life. You know, like I burnt a lot of calories walking to the counter like a Home Depot size place or something. Yeah, and it's like oh because all you guys have is space. That's so true. So right Tracy, you're right just have space. You have all the room for everything so they probably have nothing here. We have no space. Yeah, people are living, you know in in one building. Was like 8000 apartments in it. I we always talk about six Hawk. I always like to watch like the worst apartments in Manhattan. I love it. And there was this guy and he showed us this apartment like two hundred square feet or something. It was like the tiniest thing and the bathtub was in the kitchen. Oh, yeah. That's the thing. That's a yeah, he was probably in the East Village and it was it was still like $1,800 a month. Yeah. Yeah, and it's like people don't understand there are apartments on the Lower East Side that do ya have a bathroom because they have a bathroom just one bathroom per floor, right they share and they share it and you still can't afford it. Yeah, and this this apartment didn't even have one closet know it's just didn't it didn't exist. It is the closet so often she's she's looking for a cool downtown species not covet is now Rising. Oh my god, really? They didn't know that away and now Tyler and Nova are at the park and you know cage Going to meet them there and they just start doing a Kate and Tyler talk where they just talk over each other boring. It's like, you know, I'm not going to start now. I'm not going to start now because I yeah, I totally wouldn't start now. I mean, why would you start now of covid-19, you know, and they just they justify their laziness to each other. Well, that's what it is. They need each other to justify why they don't do anything now when I want to write a book eventually, right and they said well, I I still have deteriorated to come back after this the basement up right like, you know, we have that and like, you know, the horse needs to eat. It's not like the horse doesn't need to eat just cuz you're a microblader. I think we have two kids. Maybe we just have the one. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We went have another baby right like well before we're Thirty, of course, we have to yeah. Oh my God after your 30 having a baby girl. I said we were talking about this before and it looks like she's eating a marshmallow sandwich. Yes. She was and I re-watch the episode today and still I'm like, she's eating a marshmellow. Here's the thing. I watch a lot of talk. I don't know if you guys know that. Okay, no way. So I'm getting all of my life advice all of my culture anything, you know, like just educational from Tik Tok static writing. So now I watch is tiktok where they take different kinds of cookies. Okay, and they grind them up and they use them like as a flower for a cake. So like say like chocolate chip cookie that you could use that you grind them up or you grind them up you put like I don't know eggs water or you make it like a cake, right and then it's like a full or busy. So I think that whatever she's eating right? It's like a marshmallow sandwich. Maybe she could make the bun out of graham crackers meaning like grounded into a flour and then bake it in a hamburger bun..

The other was aborted up exit door that was defunct some years ago. I approached the wall with the light switch. I felt my hand reach up. Before I flicked off. I looked back toward the distance I just crossed. I'd have to traverse it again and took a mental picture of the stretch of space. My finger pressed down. All Illumination flickered away. My eyes were painted over in blackness before they adjusted to the hazed empty space before me. I. Stood at the precipice of an enormous Victorian would stage. One more time I said aloud to myself. I jumped a little because the word time came back to me a half second later bouncing off the wall on the other side of the hall. I took my first step back toward the partition from the stage curtain. The journey back always felt longer. It was more empty more vacant. The depth of the stage lengthened before me. My steps were always louder in the darkness. And yet as I listened to them, there was a strange sensation coming to me a new awareness most people don't notice until it hits them is the vulnerability of the moment. The feeling of the void growing right behind you. It breathes down your neck in a cold brush and makes you want to take your next step a little faster. Your anxiety built up. That little thought begins to eat your confidence away. All you want to do is break into a panicked sprint. I've had similar experiences wanting to run up a flight of stairs one off the basement lights at home. But this was worse. I am specifically forbidden from running in case I ran into something and broke it. It might be a hint but Hutch said that he had problems with this in the past. A striking a note from small music box floated over me somewhere. It was only a single note but not to make my hair stand up on end and freeze in place. I couldn't move. I wanted to see if I could hear it again to determine if it was ahead of me. Or behind me I knew the way the stage play tricks with sound. I didn't hear it again. But heard something else. Croaking from a rope somewhere above me. It was as though the rope were strained and swinging something heavy. After a moment gathering, my bearings. I understood where I was standing. Beneath the jungle of old suspended stage ropes in the fly space. My breathing through my nose became more audible as it picked up pace. I couldn't stand to look up into the fly space when the light was on but now. I heard the small sound swing above me again. Keeping my eyes focused on the curtain opening I refused to look up. I started to walk again but with quickened pace, I was so close to the curtains. As, I reached out to pass the threshold into the seating area. A final sound caused a cold rush of blood to run through me. Adore him I heard a door latch click open and swing justice oh, someone were peaking out at me. I. Flew My hand around the curtains side heavily gripping to move it out of my way as I took a running leap off the stage to clear aisles I'd never let my feet fly so fast endorsed before. As I burst through the lobby doors, I could feel a small beating sweat beginning to form on my forehead. Laura you ready to go. Mom stopped when she saw how hard I was breathing. Honey what is it? I felt a sickening weight drop in my stomach. The old costume room we used for storage the one right next to the light switch. I was about to check it. Then Hud came over and he assumed I had. Oh can all go in there and check mom leaned down behind the candy counter and pulled out a large black metal flashlight. She pressed herself into theater with the beam of the flashlight bobbing up and down in front of her. I watched the lobby doors swing closed behind her. Mark came over and looked at me staring at the theater doors. Where's mom. She. I felt my breath catch and let go into a small laugh. She went to check for the ghost. Mark gave me a funny look but shrugged and started walking toward the doors as he was about to push into them. Mom popped right back out. Sorry Laura I didn't see anything the costume room is locked. I nodded.

"A couple of weeks passed and I didn't mind most of my chores. In fact, I enjoyed learning how to lace film reels through the first and second projector. I tried to make it a game when watching for the circles at the top right corners of the movie. Back thin film rails on lasted about twenty minutes ago, and then you alternated between projectors by covering and uncovering their lenses. The projector booth was a bit odd all the walls flooring and ceiling relying in metal. When the projectors had been running for a while this room definitely made you sweat. Even the shutters to the outside were metal. Mark and I were sitting next to the projectors watching bad news bears for the millionth time. Mark do you ever find it weird this whole room is nothing but metal. Not. Really mom explained it to me. It's actually kind of a good thing. Why Movie reels are getting some updates now but old school ones are made with nitrate and my chemistry teacher showed me how easily that catches on fire not to mention it smoke produces poison. When it burns, you'll hear legends about movie theaters burning down all the time, but that's usually the reason why metal projection rooms like this exist. Catch the fire in one room and try to make it safer. But what about the people inside the projection room? Market we're looking at each other as I said this. Burned alive it's my guess. The door opened and both market jumped. You idiots missed the cigarette burn flip the projectors already. Hutch grumbled from the door. I, looked out the projector window to a white blank screen below and unrest of audience had been turning in their chair to show upward projection window. We'd missed the screen Q.. Hutch-. I'm really sorry get out kid you hutch turned on mark you're getting paid. Aren't you move mark looked like he jumped about a foot off the ground when Hutch said move and I nearly jumped three steps downward toward the lobby myself. The remainder of my chores were fairly basic. I counted candy bars for inventory and would even sometime sell tickets upfront when it got slower toward the end of the night. When the last movie goer left, it was my job to sweep the theater and toss any garbage mark would clean. The bathrooms are lobby and mom would count sales for the evening and Hutch well usually he'd go up to the office to finish writing copy and do theater bills rarely did he ever stay the night passed eight pm I started my regular ritual of sweeping the theater chair rose and flipping up seats. had. A rhythm to it by now I was on my third road down when Hutch burst through the doors. I stood there looking at him just holding my brooms struck by his sudden entrance. It was a lot later than usual for him to be here. His face looked frantic as he looked around the theater hall. Laura, did you see anyone coming here? No Mr Pickens. You're sure. Hutch started to get on his hands and knees looking down the rows of seats for another set of feet I guess besides mine. It's been quiet. There weren't that many people for the last showing. It's Tuesday. Hutch. Stood up scanning the room. It made me a little uncomfortable, but I stood there looking at him as he started to walk towards the stage. Laura. Run up there and look behind that side of the curtain and all look on this side. I did as I was asked. I took stage left and he took stage right. The Green curtains flurry too little as I disturbed them but justice before. There was really no one there. I looked to the other side of the stage at home. Check the doors they should be locked, but if one is open, that's where they would be hiding. Who Mr? PICKENS Hutch promptly ignored my question with a wave of his hand and stepped up to the first door on his side of the stage. I could hear him rattling door handles and kicking metal across the floor. It sounded like a small empty paint can. I winter on my side and tugged at the door handles. Each time I moved to the next door down. It proved to be locked tight hutch quickly came over to me. He had already covered more than half of his stage area. I was about to reach the middle back over by the light switch when he walked up. I. Shook my head. He looked about the stage and upward toward the ceiling. And after a moment, he rubbed his eyelids with his fingers as if he felt a hectic coming. Hutch chuckled a little then started walking back toward the curtain partition. I followed him down from the stage to the theater seats. He thought I couldn't hear him when he muttered to himself. You're a brave kid to being here alone all the time. I stopped in my tracks as he continued to stop up the aisle toward the lobby doors. I stood there feeling strange and realized is still had half the theater to sweep. Normally I'd be done by now what he said kept echoing again and again in my head. In here alone all the time. I jumped a little when I heard a voice from on High Laura Hurry up I'm done putting away the reels and Mama's almost finished in the lobby counting the till. Mark was leading out of the projection window. Okay, I've still got this whole section I called back up to him. We'll go ahead and turn off the lights anything. You didn't get to tonight. We'll just do it first thing in the morning I'm beat. Mark shut the glass window to the projection room and walked away from the casement. The projection broom light blinked out. Leaning my broom up against the wall I looked up to the stage and side. It was true that I didn't mind most of my chores. But there was one. One shore I loathed doing. I took the steps up from the front row seats to the elevated stage. The white screen hung in the middle while huge green curtain winged its sides. And I tucked my little body behind them as I faced the wide empty stage before me. I took a deep breath. and Said my mantra before I started walking forward. So cave. Laura. Just in out like always. For modern buildings, light switches had the convenience of being right next to your entrance or does. Not, the Old Lady, her electric veins ran wherever she was fitted some time ago in the nineteen thirties when it was converted from stage to film. The old ladies light switch was tucked the back of the stage. It was a lonesome walk. The. Overhead Halogen Bulbs in the seating section served fine. But were diffused into a slight gloom when they struck through the heavy hanging white screen to the stage behind it. It put all my surroundings into a sort.

"Hello constant listener I got to meet a new friend who has reached out to me through. Facebook, CAITLYN HAILS NEW JERSEY. As we had our chat I got to ask her my favorite question when meeting anyone new. Can you tell me about a time that scared you. She recounted a memory as a young woman helping her mother manage a theater. There were things within its walls. She couldn't explain. It reminded me of a similar story. My own mother had told me about the paramount theater in Provo Utah back in Nineteen, seventy six. I asked Caitlin if would be alright to create a new story for copper shock by marrying the two realities together for a new original horror story just for you constant listener. The more I thought about the two stories the more excited I became I've always wondered about buildings that just felt off. Syndication of bad vibes from wall to wall resonating and vibrating through a room. Buildings that usually get the most reputation for haunting are ones that house multiple lives at one time hotels, prisons, hospitals, and theater houses. Stage plays have been around for hundreds of years from Greek, tragedies and seven hundred BC all the way up to modern hits like Phantom of the opera wicked and recently Hamilton. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has never heard of Shakespeare. In fact, Shakespeare does have a play that is infamous for being cursed. It has many names the bard's play the Scottish play. The closest name to help you guess is Mick Be. For those who speak its name Inside Theater House sets into motion old magic known to curse the theater until the offender takes measures to clear the name again, I don't have the exact instructions and a quick search on Google tells me that it has something to do with the order of spitting over your shoulder turning about a number of times and being formally invited back into the theater house once you've taken the appropriate steps to clear the curse. Where the curse actually comes from. No one is sure but my favorite theory is in the writing itself. I once was a grassroots Shakespeare, production of Macbeth. Where myself and two other women played the three witches as a witch for this particular production I took out my guitar and we sang our lines and a haunting lullaby. Here's the catch. These first lines of Macbeth are supposed to be true curse incantations that Shakespeare took lines from coven of witches. It is bad luck to write down incomplete incantations. So the theory goes that Shakespeare only wrote what he wanted and not the whole thing. A repeated curse done by tradition thousands of theaters all over the world whether that's true or not is unproven. But listen to the passage. When shall we three meet again in thunder lightning or rain when the hurly-burly is done when the battles lost him one? That will air be the set of Sun. Where the place upon the heat. There to meet with Macbeth. I come grey Malkin Paddock, Kohl's non. Farris phone and Foulis Fair. However through the fog and filthy air. I'm Tasha wheelhouse and this is copper.

Paris Hilton Opens Up About the Secret Terrifying Abuse She Suffered as a Teen

"On a story. About Paris Hilton that we first discussed last week, and this all goes back to a documentary about Paris Hilton. Right, Holly. Right. So this is a documentary that Colleen brought to our attention last week, and maybe we even talked about it before, But this is going to be on Paris Hilton's YouTube channel. It's called This is Paris. It premieres September 14th. And in it, she promised to get really candid about something that happened in her past that resulted in her experiencing a lot of trauma. And we were wondering. We're speculating last week what that could be now. I don't remember. Ultimately, the conclusion that you and Colleen came too. But the way we're just we're open to it, right. Oh, absolutely. I definitely This is a story that I look forward to watching When you said it's the 14th of September. Yeah, because I think Paris Hilton is a really sort of misunderstood, Generally speaking person. In media and her her role rather is misunderstood her role in media and pop culture because we have such a just Technicolor stereotype or caricature of what a Paris Hilton is, and I think this is going to peel back some of those layers that we can see. Organically. What How Paris Hilton would like herself to be presented in a way that maybe the caricature of the last 20 years hasn't Yeah, because when you think of Paris Hilton, you think of pink you think of that hot. And maybe you think of her being in D. J. If you've been following her past, 2005 got stuff stolen. Remember that? What was the name of that movie was removed. What was the movie based on like? The bling ring. Yes, the bling ring. Yes. So there was a movie made about people who used to go around and rob celebrities in the mid to thousands, and those people were just teenagers. Bored. Teenagers who are living in Calabasas at the Times will be school anyways. So Paris is opening up. About what exactly Went on when she was a teenager that caused her so much trauma and people dot com has the story in Paris says it was all about being at this boarding school called Provo Canyon School. Interesting. Paris Hilton stayed there for 11 months now, she said. The reason she was sent to the school is because her parents, Ricky and Kathy, were fed up with her partying in New York City all the time. It was really distracting at apparently. Paris went through a Siri's of boarding schools, and then ultimately, they decided to send her to this place called Provo Canyon School. Okay, now what do we know about it? Well, what we know about it from their website now. Is that Provo Canyon School? I'm just reading from the website where they say about us. Preval Canyon School is recognized as an intensive psychiatric youth residential treatment center. In Provo, Utah. Interesting. So that sounds more like That sounds a little more intense than just a quote boarding school right in Paris, Hilton says. When she was at this school that immediately after she arrived, she said, I knew it was going to be worse than anywhere else. She said the abuse he faced every day. Was really harsh, she said. From the moment I woke up until I went to bed, it was all day screaming in my face, yelling at me continuous torture, and she doesn't really elaborate on what torture necessarily means. But she does go on to say the staff would say terrible things. They were constantly making me feel bad about myself and bullying me, she said. I think it was their goal to break us down. And they were physically abusive, hitting us strangling us, She said. They wanted to instill fear in the kids, so we'd be too scared to disobey them. So I have a question.

"Thank you to the Mormons come to your door and your family let them in when you were growing up they never came to my door I don't think I don't know if my dad would have let them in either yeah we were we live and we grew up in Colorado so we actually we were around a lot of Mormons and we we went to school with Mormons and things like that but I think the first time I actually saw them come to the door was in college I actually I had some moments come to where I was staying in college since then we've had we've had a few and we always try to I was trying to start a kind of a dialogue with them but you learn pretty quickly that they are trained impeccably to be able to handle anything within the you know what hello the idea was that the weird you'd reveal that you're at the missionary training center which is in Provo Utah which is where they get they learn all their language skills and they learn there you know what to do when you do get invited into a house and we found out later and missionary training center they actually have like prop living rooms like fake living rooms with actors that like one of your test is the go and like going to this fake living room and sit down and do your spiel and you have to deal with this in a in a real situation Jack it's like a holodeck and started driving simulator yet so I don't want people to get the wrong idea about how you present Mormonism inertia the kit because you kind of challenge the credibility of this the literal credibility of the story of the book of Mormon but you love your characters and you think that eventually they do do good in the world in a way that they expected to but you're not about being like really kind of cynical in this yeah I know and and I really what what I grew up loving Broadway for was the fact that it it it at least the you know and all these classics you know they they weren't cynical they were they were very optimistic and offer this kind of they always ended with a big happy number and everything was okay and and is easy is that can seem I loved it you know and and and that's you know I don't think anyone would want to go see a two hour long Mormon bashing that's not what we would want to see that either it's just not yeah obviously you have to have characters that you love and even if you're in certain things have characters that you love to hate that's fine but you know everyone wants to see a little piece of themselves up there and that's what makes a musical draws people and and so you know like we were saying about the whole thing about this even though this is about a very devout Mormon getting put was someone getting shot around the world and trying to be very Mormon people can relate to that just that feeling of being in high school and getting out and thinking okay well now I'm ready to just go tell everyone what's up and make my mark in the world and it's going to be really awesome and then you could slap back down to reality you know and I think that everyone can relate to that part of it and and also what will the reason we know what works great with Bobby right away was because we all shared this thing where it's like we love the goofiness of Mormon stories we love the you know if there's some of them are so incredulous and yet we really like most almost all the Mormons we've ever met so at have Mormons in the audience enjoy the musical do you know I've gotten feedback it's really funny we can actually when we were there for previews and we were there that whole month where we go and watch it every single night try to change it you could hear the pockets of Mormon you can hear where they work because there's some certain things in the show that are very specifically more and things you you either are at least ex Mormons you know it's like you you can hear these people little group of people laugh and no one else really got the joke but it and it would just be some reference to something that's very Mormon and and you know obviously it's a select group of Mormons that are gonna come to this show of have kind of embraced it and the official church response the official church response was something along the lines of the book of Mormon musical might entertain you for a night but the book of Mormon the book a scripture well it could change your will change your life to Jesus or something like that which is a great which might actually completely agree with you totally very big hearted American response it's kind of like there the the Mormon church's response to this musical is almost like our Q. E. D. at the end of its like see we told you Mormons are taught the coal that's a cool American response to like a a ripping you know a big musical is done in their name so it just that was like that and we're like there see does we're talking about because before the the church responded a lot of you know people ask us about like are you afraid of the church and say in train our like they're gonna be cool trust us they're gonna be called people in New York like no other nothing to be you know mad you guys are gonna be protest like nope they're gonna be cool and I mean I don't know if we totally new but we weren't that surprised by the church's response we had faith in them yes we had faith we're listening to an interview with Trey Parker and Matt stone from twenty eleven more after a break this is fresh AIR support.
