"This is WTO news. Two 52. Democratic lawmakers are once again pushing for federal workers to get a pay raise after a year of high inflation. Virginia congressman Jerry Connolly and Hawaiian senator Brian schatz have reintroduced the fair act in the House and Senate. The bill would give most civilian workers an 8.7% average pay raise next year. Congressman Connolly reintroduced the fair act in some form every year for the past 9 years. Congress never passed it, but has occasionally legislated federal pay raises. A group of teens out of Prince William county faces some pretty serious charges connected to a shooting and several stolen vehicles. The three teens, two of them, 14 year old boys have been arrested for a shooting that happened January 15th in triangle. The teens are accused of firing multiple shots at a residence before getting away in a stolen vehicle. Prince William county police have since arrested all three and are now connecting them to 20 stolen or attempted stolen vehicles in the area. All of the thefts happen between January 12th and the 16th, the teens are expected to face grand larceny charges. Melissa Howell, WTO P news. "Teacher who died after police tased him multiple times in Los Angeles is now filing a $50 million lawsuit against the city and its police department. Cameras lights and additional patrols are all part of upgrades, county leaders are planning after what they are calling a rise in criminal activity in the areas surrounding Richmond highway and Prince William Parkway. Police there say the area has had one homicide so far this year after two last year. In addition to a recent stabbing. A Prince William county police spokesman calls the violent crime trend troubling and says officials are working with the community to deter further crime. D.C. police say they had a warrant to arrest the man now charged officially with the killing this incident took place on Wednesday morning. Kenyatta oglesby is facing multiple charges including murder and assault after police say he opened fire in his 17 year old girlfriend's house, killing her three year old sister and wounding her, her sisters, 16 and 14 years old, and of a 17 year old boy. There were some kind of an argument between the suspect and the 17 year old, the night before, that argument continued into the next day and then he just lost it. It seems oglesby is no stranger to police court records show that the 20 year old has two gun related charges in his past, and the fugitive task force was looking for him. Court records show oglesby pleaded guilty to having an unregistered pistol during a robbery in Columbia heights back in 2021. But when a judge released him on orders to return for sentencing, court records show, he never came back and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Investigators say it may be why he was staying at his 17 year old girlfriend's home in dumfries with her family. U.S. Marshals say police arrested oglesby minutes after the shooting. A 50 year operating license awarded a constellation energy for the conowingo dam has been tossed after a federal appeals court agreed with environmentalists. Alison prose, the vice president of environmental protection and restoration with the Chesapeake Bay foundation says they joined a lawsuit after constellation in the state of Maryland agreed to ditch the water quality standards the state first proposed and violation of the federal clean water act. And that is what the court said wasn't allowed that the state put in issue a water quality certification, then back back. Maryland's department of environment has ordered a temporary halt to shellfish harvesting in a portion of the Chesapeake Bay because of a sewage overflow This covers more than 10,000 acres of the bay in Baltimore city. The overflow is a concern because shellfish like oysters are typically eaten raw. Baltimore county officials alerted the state about a sewage overflow affecting a back river tributary on December 12th. They estimate that more than 2 million gallons were discharged into surface waters near the muddy gut tributary. Police in pierce county, Washington are investigating a Christmas morning attack.
