Prince George's County School Superintendent Millard House says next week school staff will get information on how to enroll in free credit monitoring services. This after August the 14th ransomware attack that targeted the school system's network. There are 180 thousand accounts in the system. The latest information was that roughly 4 ,500 were affected. Most those of belong to staff. In his September 1st message, House said students will and families get the same information on free credit monitoring as well. Free shuttle buses replace trains between those two stations. And on the Red Line, there is single tracking between Medical Center and Friendship Heights. Prince George's County Schools officials say some personal information was leaked in CyberTech earlier this month. In a statement released Saturday, the County says they don't fully know how many people may have had their information exposed in the attack, but they say they will offer all students and staff free credit monitoring identity protection services. Officials say that the cyber attack on Prince George's County School computers on August 14th was one of several such attacks nationwide that day. "A long road here since the middle afternoon where there was a widespread power outage across the city and other parts of Anne Arundel County again down to about a thousand outages now during that crisis dozens trickled into the fat crab restaurant where they were served food on ice but nothing hot could be prepared. We have ice makers so right away we put perishable things under ice and we keep the refrigerator shut. Fat crab owner Ken Upton says even though the restaurant had no power about 40 people trickled in. wife His though got stuck in traffic as many traffic lights were out. "Now an award for three masked suspects wanted by police for assaulting a student on a prince George's county school bus. Photos of the mask to say lintz all wearing black hoodies show them on board the school bus. Prince George's county police say when the driver stopped at Iverson street and sutler drive in oxen hill to drop off students, the three suspects all believed to be under 18 got on board and began attacking a boy. Police say one of the boys tried to shoot the victim multiple times that the gun malfunctioned. Police later found ammunition on the bus. The bus driver and bus aide nearby at the time were not injured. It's unclear why the boys were assaulting the student, there's a reward for up to $2500 for a successful tip in the case. And knew this afternoon, a student brought a handgun a loaded gun rather to goals and middle school in landover today, prince George's county police were alerted at about 11 in the morning after school security took that gun away from the student, investigators say a teacher for spotted it 14 year old student faces numerous charges, including having a dangerous weapon on school property, nobody was hurt. About a dozen people were arrested at a demonstration outside Florida's state capitol last night. They were protesting against a series of bills passed by the GOP controlled legislature. They'll be signed by governor Ron DeSantis who appears to be making a push to run for president. Some Maryland School Districts Requiring Proof of Vaccination
"Three Maryland school districts Montgomery, Prince George's and Howard counties. In a pre taped message to Prince George's County school employees, Dr Monica Goldson made the announcement All Prince George's County public School employees will be required to either show proof of vaccination. By Friday, August 27th or submit to weekly on site testing. Montgomery County Public schools issued that systems back to school plans online and like Prince George's County schools, employees will have to get vaccinated or undergo weekly testing.
