If you ask for them, this is both for dine out or dine in and for takeout. This new county bill is an effort to reduce plastic waste, enforcement will start until February and many food services like Uber eats and Grubhub already have an opt out option for disposable cutlery. Also, prince George's county, big news, if that's where you do your grocery shopping. Local leaders have passed a new ban on plastic bags. It's called the better bad Bill and it received unanimous support from the prince George's county council. The bill will require a ten cents fee for paper in a ban on plastic bags at checkout lines across the county. Retailers will also be required to post signage about the charge. Anyone who would like to skip the ten cent fee can do so by bringing their own bag. The report by the special grand jury made up of loudoun county residents was in detail what they say was administrators looking out for themselves and not for the school community in how they handled the first assault on a student in May of last year at stone bridge high school to that student being transferred to broad run high school and sexually assaulting another schoolmate there. While they didn't find a coordinated cover up and no indictments issued so far, they say senior staff could have prevented the second attack from happening, instead information was withheld and the superintendent knowingly lied about the first assault to the school board. The port also says both the students mother and grandmother sounded the alarm about his behavior before the second attack. Small businesses in Washington, DC's Prince George’s Co. have new option for pandemic relief
"Businesses and Prince George's County have a new way to get coronavirus relief grants thanks to a new program that just started today. This is about creating opportunity to keep the doors open for many of our smallest cos. Prince George's County Council member Mel Franklin says. It's a program that offers grants of 12 $3000 to businesses that have at most 10 employees in less than $250,000 in annual revenue. It's being put together by the PFC Black Chamber and advocacy group focused on black owned businesses in the county. The fund is starting off with at least $20,000 available. The demand for this fund is going too far outstripped the available funding. That's why Organizers are hoping for donations so they they can can keep keep the the program program going going for for awhile. awhile.
