Pregnant women, infants less than one -year -old and those who are immune compromised are the most susceptible to complications from measles. If you think you or your child has been exposed and could be at risk, contact your health provider or Montgomery County Health. Last confirmed measles cases in Maryland were in 2019.

"A prince George's county police officer was indicted over two years ago for his treatment of a 17 year old. Now he's been found guilty of assault and misconduct while on the job. The prince George's county state's attorney's office says Daryl warmouth pulled the teen out of a car during a traffic stop in suitland in 2020. The 46 year old then grabbed the teen's neck and assaulted him while he was handcuffed. Officers on the scene with warmth immediately reported what they saw to supervisors, warmouth has been with the department since 2007, and he was suspended without pay. He'll be sentenced later this month. Four months after a father of three was killed in a downtown Silver Spring garage, Montgomery county police say they still have no idea who did it. And now Joe Reynolds widow is joining investigators and asking for your help to share more information from that night. Paris Hastings says 6 minutes after her husband parted from their family group to go put leftovers in the car, her sister found him killed in the Wayne avenue garage stairwell. Possibly a crash in Virginia on the George Washington Parkway. A lot of that delay southbound headed towards Spout Run is ease but northbound is still seeing the delay. Watch for the work with a single lane getting you by. Southbound 95 is heavy crossing the Occoquan. If you're northbound some volume getting in through Fredericksburg and then you're also going to find a northbound delay from Lorton into Newington but those lanes should be open. "1153, in prince George's county, a transgender teacher says she was insulted and threatened by students and her administrators did nothing to prevent it. The teacher has now settled a lawsuit with the county. She began teaching English in the prince George's county school system in 2008, but three years later, Jennifer Eller told her principle that she was transitioning. She says that led to insults from students, parents and coworkers and her administrators said there was nothing they could do at one point a student threatened to sexually assault her. Eller left the school system in 2017 and filed a discrimination and harassment lawsuit. The case was supposed to go to trial this week, but court records show both sides have reached a settlement. Meantime, thousands of students across Virginia expected to walk out of their classes tomorrow morning and protest of new policies from governor Glen youngkin's administration. Some students say the policies are attacking transgender students in that state. Those new policies require students to use locker rooms and bathrooms and take part in programs that match their sex assigned at birth. They also require a student to have a parent's permission to change their name or gender at school. Governor youngkin has defended the guideline saying they respect students while also involving parents. Now organizers say protests will be staged in about 100 schools around Virginia. "Attempted rape in Silver Spring this morning, detectives from the Special Victims Unit, say a woman was attacked from behind just after ten 30, as she was entering her apartment in the 800 block of Northampton drive. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and black hooded sweatshirt, the investigation is ongoing. Another prince George's county police officer is now facing criminal charges. Corporal Travis fobo is accused of felony theft and misconduct in office. The department says they've investigated him for unauthorized activities while on duty dating back all the way to 2018. Last month, 13 officers with prince George's county police were also indicted for theft and misconduct in office. Those officers are accused of working for private security company while they were on duty for the county. Has now been suspended without pay, the department says his police powers were suspended in February. He will be arraigned next month. Luke Luger WTO P news. At 25 year old D.C. mayon has been sentenced to 7 years, 5 of which need to be served in prison after he shot two people following a dispute over a double booked table in a D.C. nightclub. Deontay green pled guilty in February to the shootings outside a nightclub in the DuPont circle area of northwest Washington last summer, prosecutors say it was June 27th of 2021 when Greene accosted a man outside the nightclub on the 1200 block of Connecticut avenue, northwest. After the altercation, he fired a gun twice at the man, as he was running away, one bullet hit his thigh, the second shot and hit a woman who worked nearby. She was hidden the left arm, the gunshot shattered a bone. She has lost some of the use of her arm and now has only partial use of her thumb. Prosecutors say green fled the scene was arrested around a week later and has been in custody ever since. Washington DC area schools expect higher enrollment in fall
"Prince George's County has kids back in the classroom again on a hybrid schedule, But many students are choosing to stay all virtual and others have left the system altogether. School leaders think classrooms will fill out in the fall, though overall enrollment is down this school year in Prince George's County, we saw the con in a Roman of about 2000 students. But many of those who are younger students where their parents could actually do that all that home teaching experience. But Monica Goldson, the CEO of the County school system says that's likely to reverse back in the next school year. ‘Washington Teachers’ Union remembers president Elizabeth Davis
"Here. A double duty will be this morning on a deadly car crash in buoy on Route three. Oh, one both drivers involved have died. One of them was a Elizabeth Davis, the president of the Washington teacher's Union. He a modern day civil rights leader. Washington Teacher's Union General Vice president Jacqueline Pogue.
