"This part of job and also just letting people know what's going on and the video for the song stepania wasn't supposed to be about the war. It wasn't supposed to have all the elements of the devastating consequences of the war that it has now. And every time we perform in that song, you can not ignore the fact that there's a war going on in Ukraine because you see it because you know it because you know that what this song represents now so every time we're performing people, those who are aware they are being reminded those who weren't aware if there are people like that I don't know. They are being a little bit schooled about it. As we look ahead to this year's Eurovision contest at which Ukraine will be defending its title, albeit that it will obviously be being held in Liverpool. How important do you think this contest is going to be to Ukraine at home and for the people of Ukraine, but also for Ukraine's continued visibility on the world stage? Ukrainians, Eurovision is huge. I remember winning for the probably the first time back in 2004. It was a mass celebration. It's like your soccer teams like your football team is winning and they're coming home and everyone is celebrating. So right now, during the war, it's like plus ten times. You know, it's the biggest cultural event Ukrainians. And the war is not over. We still have to fight. We still have to make new allies. We still have to ask for additional aid and help and support and this year's song is beautiful. This year song is also about who we are as people as nation as those who are defending their home. It is crucial, it is important to perform as great as it is possible in this year's contest. But then again, besides just the cultural part, the musical part, or the visual part, there's also a probably this time bigger part of reminding people from other countries that there were not over the threat is still very real that if Russia will win, they will not stop in Ukraine. They will go further because that's what happens when you let a bully hurt someone. And our mission and our caskets to stop them, not let them do that. To make them understand that in 21st century people have to unite not invade each other. And just very, very finally, though it's very hard to do justice too in an audio medium. Can you tell our listeners a bit about your look, what you're wearing right now, I can see you, but they can't and how you arrived at this. Yeah, it's one of Ukrainian national things. It's this colorful carpet thing that people either used to have on the floor or more often on the walls as a piece of a decor. The Ukrainian winters are tough and sometimes it's called inside, but when you have a whole bunch of carpets on every wall, it's kind of warmer. So I'm a killer man in English, it would sound like carpet man. There's a story behind this thing. Everyone is invited to my Instagram. I have pictures there. I have videos there. I'm doing my little thing there. There's a story behind it. There's a whole music video for one of the songs where it is explained in lots of details how I ended up being a carpet man. You should see it. Killerman, thank you for joining us that was MC killerman from kalush orchestra. You're listening to the foreign desk. You're listening to the foreign desk with me Andrew Muller, and I'm joined now by Vadim presta, ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. Ambassador first of all, we were just thinking it is a little over a year ago since you were sitting in this studio and we weren't sure whether this invasion was happening or not. And what I ask you first of all about the relationship between the United Kingdom and Ukraine in the time since. Do you feel like the two countries have become much closer? But we started with the good notes initially. Remember that even before the war, we were getting quite close, we just had a visit of the president's key, we assigned this strategic treaty. We started building up the capabilities of our armed forces, especially the fleet. So we were on the right track with the worst starting. We just found out that we have a friend on who we can rely. We had many friends, but some of them like UK were quite proactive. And offered assistance from the very beginning. And in that early stage, in particular, in terms of assembling, I guess, an international coalition, an international alliance behind Ukraine. How important was Boris Johnson as a single figure? Obviously Boris Johnson has been at pains to suggest that he was extremely important, but is that assessment shared in Ukraine? If you remember, borders came to Ukraine on 8th of February on 24th, the war was already there in Ukrainian land. So you can imagine how important it was to have a leader of one of the biggest nations, the most important ones, just two weeks before the war. So his personal involvement and the government of the whole government, that's what was critical at that moment and is still here. Look at the last initiatives. You decided to train our soldiers. You decided to provide anything missiles. Finally, you push the whole discussion about tens where the tanks have to be given to Ukraine or north. By offering your challenger tanks. Through the whole year, regardless of the changes of the governments here in the UK, we will fail to support and steal the reactive. Well, we're talking ahead of what is likely to be a demonstration of that support of the UK for Ukraine or be it in a vastly different sphere. This is the Eurovision Song Contest, which of course is Ukraine's by right to hold as reigning champions, but which the United Kingdom is staging instead. How big a moment is this for you personally as Ukraine's ambassador to the UK? Are you going to go to Liverpool? A couple of days ago, I was there was honored to be at the launching event when the event was handed over from the Torino, Italy to Liverpool here. And I have to tell you that, first of all, on each and every occasion, everybody who was talking to us or to the crowd, they were always reminding that we are happy to have the contest, the musical, which is very important for Liverpool for many well-known reasons, but we are doing it on behalf of somebody else. And this was somebody else is Ukraine because our Friends can not have it, we are very happy to provide this opportunity. That was the set on each and every occasion. And it was very, very humbling to hear it. And even the symbolism of everything, the color scheme, everything was reminding that this is Liverpool contest, but for Ukraine on behalf of Ukraine. We have spoken elsewhere in this program to Ukraine's reigning champions from kalush orchestra. And we asked them a version of this question, but how important to Ukraine was winning the Eurovision Song Contest last year, not just in terms of actually winning the thing, which is obviously pretty exciting in itself, but winning it in these extraordinary

"Beach, munya. Why did you write that? Well, today's show is brought to you by a new movie, Jesus revolution. Now, revivals we talked about a lot right now. Something big is happening. It's sweeping the nation, city by city, stirring hearts for Jesus. Revival has happened before. Jesus revolution, the new film from the creators of, I can only imagine, tells the story of the last great awakening in America. 50 years ago, a Jesus revolution blossomed in Southern California and thousands of lives were changed. The film follows a young Greg Laurie, who's searching for all the right things and all the wrong places until he meets Lonnie frisbee. A charismatic hippie street preacher. Together with pastor chuck Smith, they open the doors of smith's languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what Time Magazine dubbed Jesus revolution. Join us for Jesus revolution in theaters nationwide beginning February 24th. It's out now. Find tickets at your local theater or at tickets Jesus revolution dot movie. Again, you can get tickets at your local theater or by checking out tickets. Jesus revolution dot movie. Okay, it's time for relevant advice. All right, tell us what's happening at the intersection of faith and culture this week, Emily. All right. I feel like we have to start talking with the asbury university campus revival. Are you guys aware of this? I've been following it at all. It's been going on for a month, right? I've seen some news, yeah. This is like a week. No, it's not quite a month. It's been about a week and a half. Like we said, we're recording February 15th. It started in February 8th. So it's been going on for nonstop for a week now. For any listeners that don't know, asbury university is a private Christian university in Kentucky and for at the time of this recording a 133 hours now, they have been having nonstop worship praise, just revival happening on campus. And it's been shared on social media, a lot of people from different places all over the country are starting to come and it hasn't slowed down yet. And we don't really know where it's going now, but it is interesting to see just on social media. There's been a lot of really cool eyewitness accounts too. I actually want to read one of them from a student who attends the university Alexandra presta. She's the editor of the student paper. And her just account of it is really cool. She said, here's professors, local church leaders and seminary students around me, all of them praying worshiping and praising God together. Voices are ringing out. People are bowing at the altar, arm stretched wide, a pair of friends cling to each other in a hug, one with tears in her eyes, a diverse group of individuals crowd the piano and flawlessly switch from song to song. Some even sit like me with laptops open, no one wants to leave. I heard it's also, it's now starting to spread. We're getting word that same thing is happening at Lee university in Cleveland, Tennessee. And rumblings of a sparking at other universities as well, which is really, really cool. And this was pretty organic, right? It was just a chapel service. There's literally a chapel service that had a alter call for repentance and stuff and a bunch of students went up. And during that time of prayer, the worst of teams started playing. And the student congregation started worshiping and they just felt the reports were hearing as they really felt the Holy Spirit just kind of the Holy Spirit's presence in that place. And so the worship continued and the prayer time continued. And now a week later, it hasn't stopped. 24 hours a day. This is the kind of story I'm glad that we get to cover it. I'm glad that we're getting these because I feel like we constantly have so much bad news that the news of people just 24 hours just worshiping God. You know what I'm saying? And I'm sure people are having great emotional experiences and living on the high and then now the idea of it spreading. That's beautiful and I think we need things like that to happen. We need God, we need God right now because it's been a dark, dark, dark couple years. So I'm thankful for any light that we get. So praise the lord. Yeah, and I love that it's starting with college students too, and that because we've talked about so many times just the future of the church with the younger generation, there's a lot of ups and downs. And so to see that this is starting with the next generation, these kids in their 20s who just don't want to stop worshiping and are just wanting to keep this going. It's been really cool to see on social media just the way that people have shared videos and talked about their personal experiences that have gone. Yeah, the cool thing on the staff historian because we've been doing this a long time. And so Emily and I were talking about this, obviously this isn't new, revival has happened a lot, but relevant was birthed out of something like this. That was happening from the mid 90s to the late 2000s. There was like revivals going on that people heard about like the Toronto blessing, Brownsville revival, and stuff like that. And I remember going to Toronto when I was in college and just traveling there because we heard God was moving. And we wanted to see it for ourselves. And at the hotel, there was like groups of college students that had just talking to them like they hopped in a van. From Indianapolis, they're from Seattle. They're from Florida. And they just heard God was moving, and they just got their friends and they got in a van and just came. And that's starting to be happening at asbury. Like we're hearing the same rumblings of people just showing up from other places. And then it's like, God moves, impacts their lives, and then they kind of take it back to their towns and stuff. And it's like, that's how revival spreads. And literally, I'm talking about relevant birth out of it at the Toronto one is where the lord, I mean, I don't want to over spiritualize it, but like I was praying for vision and calling and the lord gave me the idea for relevant. And I literally, on the hotel nightstand pad, wrote down the business plan for relevant. And it was birthed there. And so and then in the 2000s, there was a big college movement of like 24/7 prayer. Relevance first cover story in our print magazine in 2003 was of Pete Greg in the 24/7 prayer movement that was happening in London. And these prayer rooms were happening everywhere. That's where Sean Foyt got his start in Tulsa doing 24/7 prayer rooms. And there was like this college movement in the early 2000s of prayer and intercession and worship revival that was truly happening. And a lot of universities and a lot of churches started doing 24/7 prayer rooms. As an outgrowth of that for 7, 8, 9 years. It was like a real movement. It was interesting because that movement was happening in tandem with the emergent movement, like on a deconstruction and stuff. And so it was like relevant had this foot in both worlds. It was really interesting time that the 2000s. And then it's like, nothing's really, we haven't heard much about that in the last decade, because I feel like faith has become so partisan. And everything's changed. And it's like so for this organic thing to be sparking again, is just so exciting for me, because we like Derek said, need a reset. The church needs a reset. And if this is organically happening at the college movement and college level, I just hope that this is a spark of a flame

"Mother's face. The out. There's another segue for your ass. Oh yeah, and The Rain is mother. Can't love it bye. It's gonna give it to you. RIP DMX. Goodness gracious, jeeves. That was a mouthful. I thought my stomach was hurting enough from yesterday's game, but. DMX has to go on. Rest in peace, DMX. All right, I tell DMX DMX crossover. If they had a baby, what would it sound like? All right, now let's stay focused here. Bosa, all right? I felt a little bit of this as well. That obviously boasts coming into this game. He's injured. So what level of productivity are we going to see from this guy? And you're right. It feels like people are expecting like a Khalil Mac type performance where this guy gets like two sacks and a fumble recovery. And then that's the only way he's going to be good. But obviously, that wasn't the case for both. Supposed to have one of his best games ever. So break it down for his coach. Joey Bosa, he's a monster, right? Yeah, absolutely. If you go back and watch, if you're not watching him on every play, sometimes it does kind of feel like where's Joey? Because it's Bowie, Joey Bosa and Derwin James. That's like our Bowie. That's our defense. Those are the big superstars of the defense, right? So you see Derwin James all over the map, but Joey's kind of down in the line. You have to be really looking at him to find him in. Yeah, he came into this game, hurt, he didn't practice once this week. He played 70% of the snaps, which was still a pretty high percentage. That is for some of the injured. Yeah. Getting hurt again on the game. He really was out there kind of gutting it out for his team to beat this to beat this chief team that he knows how big of a game that says, but there's so much to playing defense of line. And being effective that we don't always see. So as I had talked about in previous episodes, how you eliminate a great pass rush is running the ball really well. When you get up on the down and distance and you don't create obvious passing downs, it becomes really hard for a good defensive end that does both stop the run and the past, brush the passer. Somebody that does both of those really well, it becomes really difficult for him to just pen his ears back and go. They ran for almost 200 yards on the game. If I'm not mistaken. So he had his run stop kind of hat on in this game. So that's why you don't always see him flying through on a pass rush unless they're an obvious passing down. You can't do that. You have to stop the run first before going. These guys don't know before the snap. Oh, I'm in a pass rush. So he has to take those one or two steps and know if he needs to retrace. He's really reading that tackle that he's playing against. That's his read. Our linebackers are most of the time we're reading guards to running back. Your defensive ends are reading that tackle. Their eyes are on the tackle. So if they're running RPO, he doesn't know if he can just go. He then, okay, I saw what the taco that now I gotta get my eyes here and I have to figure out if this is runner pass. So there really is so much more to being a good defensive end than just, hey, I'm a pass rush every single play. So that said, looking at this very first play here, Joey is going to be lined up just inside. This is his foot that you can see. Game pass. Game pass is still not allowing us in zone footage yet, which really sucks. So we're doing NFL. We pay a lot of money for that stupid service to give us what we want. It sucks. But you can see him in you can see him in here. That's his first thought in his foot. Real nice, real nice. So this is the first like dropback pass. So you'll see as the ball is snapped, this tackle's gonna sit up and drop back into a pass. Then element of Joey boasted that never goes on the stat sheet is him taking on two guys on every pass. This wing here, this is a tight end. This is a big body. He is gonna fire out and jam Joey for one 1002 thousand and then released on his route. And then the tackle is gonna be sitting there fresh waiting for Joey. Makes it really hard to rush the passer, especially because Patrick Mahomes gets the ball out really, really quick. He's a good he's a good he's a good quarterback. So he's not gonna hold onto the ball forever. So as you watch this play develop, it doesn't look like it's like a Joey Bosa highlight standout play, but watch this, he's eliminating two guys from this play. If you eliminate two guys from a play, that should give us the numbers, right? So even a little something like that that you don't very much unnoticed, it is effective in what it needs to be. Joey is taking on two blocks so that your other side, they can't do that. Kyler, whoever's over there is now a one on one. And they need to start winning those battles more effectively. So then you see oh wow, our pass rush is really good because Joey on the other side is taking up two blocks at all times. Again, not on the stat sheet. When you go to ESPN and look at the box score that's not going to be on there. But that's an impact that he has on almost every single play. All right, so this next play, again, it's gonna be something that's not really easily detectable just by watching the play with Joey's right here. There's that foot again. No, I love that foot. Yeah. My favorite foot. So an interesting thing too is Joey's in the two N is two point stance a lot this year, which is kind of fun to see two meaning as you two giggles. Like a feat guy. Your stance, however many points is how many points of contact you have with the ground. So it is two just feet. If you had a hand down that three points for is it normally three point stance kind of guy? Last year when he's playing defensive in the edge, he's handing the dirt getting off in a three point stance. Okay. So it's kind of fun to see him doing a little bit something different. I'm sure coach gives him a little bit of freedom. He must really like this to be able to see maybe a little bit more into the backfield to get a quick read on stuff. But this one, he's going to be unblocked. So these guys are all going to be blocking this way and that's another way to negate a big time pass rusher get after the quarterback type of guy. If you're unblocked, there's a defensive end when you're unblocked. That means one of two things. One, they're running a screen, which is you have to stop and halt. You can't just fly up after the quarterback. Or you're the read guy. So they're trying to they're trying to pick on you. Oh, I'm sorry, there's three options. Check check. One is the screen. Two you're the read three, you're about to get trapped and get blown up by a guard that's pulling. In all three situations, you need to stop. You can't just fly up field and go after the quarterback. So in this play, you're gonna see Joey. He gets these guys are all blocking this way. He's gonna stop eyes get inside and locate the ball 'cause Patrick Mahomes goes to hand off, Joey doesn't know if he's faking a handoff and he's gonna roll out. 'cause a lot of teams run a naked boot, meaning they're gonna try to catch that DN jump jumping down on the handoff and then as soon as this handoff comes, this guy fakes the handoff from the quarterback rolls out and they're hoping he jumps down inside on the handoff. So he is gonna he's gonna see, all right, I stop my feet, get eyes inside, make sure the quarterback's not keeping it and then he'll jump in and make the tackle. Now it's a gain of four, but knowing that all of those things are going on at the same time, you're like, wow, that was a pretty impressive play that he saw, I'm unblocked. I'm gonna step down, all right, I'm gonna see if mahomes still has the ball. Nope, now I'm gonna come back in and make the tackle. Wow. All of those things going on at once. Now it's a gain of four, yeah, that sucks, but Joey just took out three plays at once. Right? So and pretty impressive Pro Bowl caliber pay him big bucks type of defensive end play can diagnose it really quick on the fly. Right. Right. And deliver a hit to possibly force a fumble. Right. All right, so this next play, this is gonna be the play that we had to remember and you actually see on the stat sheet for Joey. This was his Zach. He lined up. Obviously, a big time position in big play third and 7. We're up 14 nothing 6 minutes in the second quarter. I'm coming close to halftime. Joey, they bump actually they bump him down into the three technique. Three technique meaning outside shade of the guard. He's been playing that edge Russia. It's not what he's doing now. Now they have a chinna. You can see her channel right here. He's the edge rusher, and they have Joey down here in the three technique. So he's down playing on the guard, which big change of pace for that guard, whoever he was used to going up to. Now you got Joey in there who's just as strong as anyone that would have been playing three tech, but way, way quicker, able to make moves. So you're going to see him get off the ball. Obviously, there's a big change of pace for this offense. But this is why he gets paid the big bucks. You'll see, and I'll run, I'll run the play through and then obviously CBS shows the replay because it's such a pretty play. But you'll see he does this awesome little step is quick step inside and then this double swipe move coming back to the outside and he's just on pat before he can even think to do anything with the wall. So all watching it here from the sideline view, you see Joey, double swipe, boom. Nice, yeah. Right into the pocket. And the defense, what we did, part of our game plan, which is frustrating as a fan, we kept pat in the pocket. Our defensive ends are edge rushers. We're not just flying up field and allowing him to step up. Here it is from the inside boom, double swipe, swim move coming, make the tackle. Because he had no escape to the outside. Our edges really did a good job of just kind of maintaining. You see even coming ten right there. He started up one side, saw Patrick to move, run around to the other side. Our defense did a really, really good job of cutting out escape planes and keeping him in the bucket, forcing him to be a prototypical stereotype quarterback, which is he used his legs on us many a game. So him not scrambling that much was very nice. Right. Yeah. It helped us be extremely effective. All right, so this is obviously one of the biggest plays of the game. Two minutes left. We kicked the field goal to tie it and every charger fans butt puckered up a little bit with like man. We're giving mahomes the ball back with two minutes and we didn't go for it. Right. And I'm like, you know, like, full Philip Rivers. Don't you channel your Phil? Yeah. And you're just like, man, I do not want to give this guy the ball back. And I was so anxious, this whole drive. This is third Nate, so needed a big play, only two minutes left. So obviously we're looking at Joey Joey again, all you can see is the foot in the butt. Here it is. He's going to be coming off this edge right here. Again, he gets doubled. He gets chipped by one, tackle picks him up. But what's so important to watch in this? Is he forces the pressure? Patrick Mahomes knows where Joey Bosa is before he snaps the ball. As he sees that white hat start to flash, he scrambles. Joey then pursues and keeps contained forcing Patrick Mahomes to step back against where he's throwing and forces the errant throw for a touchdown. So you'll see Patrick's gonna step digital steps, try to Joey's gonna come off the edge, force him to get out here. That's where mahomes makes his money, man, when he's on the run throwing this way or he gets to start working towards the line of scrimmage, that's where he can create some real havoc. He starts to come here, Joey's on his past, comes, makes him step back this way as he throws the ball downfield and that's when we are able to get downfield and make the pick. So I'll run it for you. They obviously show the replay quite a bit. So I'll let it run. But watch as Joey, he's gonna get this pressure, he gets doubled, get just forced. That's the pressure to make it outside of the pocket. Forces him to step back in. Now he's throwing that air ball that a low he's able to pick off. Again, not on the stat sheet, probably is one of those ten pressures that are in the score book, but not something that we as fans necessarily see. We see the yellow he pick, we're all hyped up. You don't remember that. You don't see that 97 force in the pressure him out of the pocket and then cutting him off so that this play right here can happen. So Joey that's so good. Regardless if he has a sack on the day, no matter what he does, he's impacting every single offense that we play in their preparation and what they have to look at presta. He's having a big impact. A hungry. Both saw hungry. Both are on sacky. Yeah, man. What an amazing thing to see how aggressive Joey's been. Not reckless. Awesome. Thank you, coach for breaking it down. And thank you, jeeps. We're asking the question. All right, folks will now it's time to go on to our next segment. It's fan focused and we've got a new face on here today. Let's see who it is. "Nothing but the best our favorite moments from last week's shows on my talk One of 71. You know, I saw this story the other day. I never noticed that you know, sometimes I wonder what would happen if now, Julius Random thoughts. He looks like that puppet. I don't know, he said She can't plans. It's just random. That's all it is. Okay. So today is called Telephone Tuesday case you're wondering, And the reason why today is telephone Tuesday is it is the day of the year. Um, we're businesses supposedly get the most calls. Because summer's over the kids are back to school. Labor Day weekend's over and you start rethinking. All right. It's time to get the plumber and it's time to get the messenger Doctor Bremen right in calling for vaccination calling to do that, and whatever it is today is telephone Tuesday. And if you're part of the people that have Taking things off your checklist today. That is it. So you are not alone. People. Um, we're getting stuff. You are getting stuff done. I'm 25 years ago today in 1996 at 11:15 P.m. after the Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas. Tupac Shakur and search should night were shot while writing and, um shrugs BMW 7 50 sedan on the Las Vegas Strip. Tupac was shot three times in the chest. Sharp. No gate grazed jugs. Big had a total of 13 shots were fired at the car after the shooting should made a U turn and headed west on this trip. Police reached the car in this trip, where it was caught in traffic at Harmon Avenue. An ambulance then picked up two PAC and Suge taking them to the University Medical Center, where pack underwent the first of three operations. His right lung was removed. This happened tunnel bleeding, and he died six days later these days, Shug members should drove over someone in jail. Yes, he is. Yeah, pretty killed somebody in on a movie set. Have you killed multiple people? That's just the one he's been caught doing right? He still gets shot from time to time, they say. But right now he's cooling his heels in jail for a hit and run where he ran over one of his friends. Memory ran over one of his friends in the movie, and he doesn't Yeah, Yeah. Yeah. And Johnny Depp is supposedly, that's one of his movies that's been sitting on the show. He wanted Tech tip. I think that's investigating. Uh, the two murders could be. I don't know. I don't know if that's why is that never been solved. You know, right lot of mystery to that whole situation. Movies for granted. You said you were a young kid and you were just devastated because It was I was 11 years old. And I mean, he loved that song, California forya love. I mean, there was all that was off the all eyes on me album. I mean, Tupac was inspirational from to every kid white kid in Middle America to a black guy in Crenshaw. I mean, he just He spoke to everybody. And he was amazing and should night is the reason why that All I mean, I blame thoroughly blamed Suge Knight for his death. Because shouldn't yes, Two PAC would get vocal but should was a gangster who got himself involved into a lot of bad things. And he ruined West Coast rap as they knew a death row records. Was thriving, thriving, and then he took it over and turned it into a a gang type thing. And it created a lot of issues and, yeah, to this day, maybe he was always the target and he just happened. You know, practice happened to be in the car. I mean, I don't know There's a lot of mystery behind it that we don't know. You know, A lot of people believe for a long time that Tupac was still alive, and it was he faked his death. We all know that's not true. But no, it's like how we believe people want to believe that about Elvis. Yes, exactly. Exactly like like larger than life, and they're taking way way way too self. Right? So here's something else Now. That was 25 years ago today that that happened 48 years ago today, and 1973 Elton John was doing a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The EMC and deep Throat star Linda Lovelace introduced him, She would have been introduced him by screaming here. He is the biggest largest, most gigantic and fantastic man. In the co star in my next movie, Elton John. She was the rage, then. Oh, yeah, And remember when that movie came out, my ex mother in law went to it on a date. Yes. Because people didn't realize really what it was. Probably Grant doesn't even know what I've read about. I haven't Yeah, Get the awkwardness there. Yeah. Yeah, I got would be a very accurate, versatile be to go to an X rated movie where the woman and it's such a For PRESTA Rhys, you know What? Such a guy stories, But it's such a guide driven fantasies. A woman who has you know her. She gets off only if she is oral sex on you, right? I mean, it's it's Could it be any more of a man's world right there than that. No fantasy? Yeah, that's true. That's true Word. Yeah. Really? Okay. So other things out there are, um okay. I just lost my train of thought. Oh, remember when we watch Keith Urban on the Today's show on Friday morning, and he had the blood shut I It wasn't even bloodshed. It had half of his I was read. It was like rupture to blend that sub. Conjunction to all hemorrhage. And it takes about a week to there was a hemorrhaging eyeball. It wasn't I was like, Don't look that way again. He just looked because he kept his face away. It was so shocking because one whole side of his I was the sea of red. Yes. So it was like he had you know you knew it was blood because it wasn't a horror movie And he didn't have a contact lens and we're living the Bob Costas Pinkeye day, right? It just was like I was like, Wow, what To happen to you, Keith. I don't know his stage manager. Passed away fell No it to stage like, two weeks ago and died. And I was wondering, Did Keith fault out of the blue and hemorrhages? I did the whole stage fall. It's been very hush Hush. And he was He wrote the saddest thing about him. I mean, he was hemorrhage. Did they all did they fall? That's something you know. I don't know. Worry, and then you know, Nicole was just making everyone mad because she was in Hong Kong. I know. Breaking rules Are you caught up on? Um Nine Perfect strangers. Yeah, There's only been four episodes, I guess. Yeah, Yeah, she she at least said scary wig doesn't look so scary when she fixes it. It doesn't mesmerizing on that role. Okay. So after the pandemic and um all you know a lot of dark things that we watched during the pandemic and things pandemic is still going on. Right? Alright. So a year in the pandemic. Excuse me, right this wrong? Yeah, Hollywood is dumped, dumping edgy projects for up lifting projects..

"Ever touch a reporter or any other citizen. Please don't do you know when you just say, Ben? Don't touch me. Uh, you know, it makes me sound like I'm being a creep. Right? Alright, There's a lot of ways to read that. You know, there's there's probably some some guy the Twitterverse is going to say, Anna Devine told Ben Rather don't touch me. What's going on there right here. And now that was about you. And you're my favorite line that you that you delivered during that story? It was a serious story about red light cameras. And you were confronting a guy who? What is he? One of the ones now, uh, something happened to him? Yes. So that was a story we do. Did back in February, looking at the entire network of red light and speed. Cameras that operate in the suburbs are operated by a company called Safe speed, and they had they would characterize as a rogue former executive. Who apparently got into the business of bribery. And help grease the wheels. Couple politicians have been taken down one of the suburbs. Uh, that were the the fix was allegedly in was in southwest suburban Crestwood. Long time Mayor Liu PRESTA was accused and charged with taking a $5000 bribe from this safe speed representative. And so we were following up two fold one. We thought it was interesting that He was still in office and the red light cameras in Crestwood. They are still clicking away and they are making. I think they made about $2 million for Crestwood. Since October of 2019, which is you know, when we first kind of publicly became aware of the federal investigation into this company and how it got Some of these suburban contracts and so safety. Remember, Ben? Oh, it's all about safety. Yes, Yes, I remind everyone I can still remember such folks is Rahm Emanuel waving his Finger at me and suggested how dare I suggest this is a money grab, but But anyway, his No. His motorcade went through. Yeah, that's right. That was another great Rahm Emanuel Motorcade went through several tickets AM so honored that you like. Remember my greatest hill body of work. I'm going to ask you to speak at my funeral. Absolutely. Yes. So anyway, back in February, Uh, Crestwood Mayor, um, while he wasn't in a talkative mood that night sent us his representative's statement afterwards, saying You know, he vehemently denies the accusation, and he will be vindicated his day in court. And data that today we learned from federal prosecutors that Crestwood Mayor Liu PRESTA has indicated he's going to plead guilty. Mm. Did you say what the bride was? How much $5000 that was allegedly put in an envelope and mayor pressed ahead of rather unique, um, defense early on. He apparently told the FBI who questioned him about it. Oh, you know the envelope. It was empty. You know you may it. Somebody may have put 5000 in there, but but when it came to me It was empty. Oh, my God. He also get charged with lying to a federal agent for making that claim. Yeah, that sounds like a pretty unbelievable claim. I don't the politicians in the envelopes. Not many of them are empty. I get that. Wow. Wow. So I don't wish anyone ill. But I can tell you we spent a lot of time down in Crestwood. Specifically, we went, you know, one night a month, they have red light. Administrative hearing officer comes in. And all these folks who feel like they've been wrongly received Red light ticket show up to appeal just in this one town of Crestwood. We heard from so many folks, one that was saying You know it was a choice between paying the tickets and paying his rent that month. Another told us you know it clicks over from yellow to red too fast. Another third lady told us She had $700 in tickets that she had racked up Now I know it's easy to say Oh, well, just just, you know, make sure you stop on red and or don't go more than 56 miles over the speed limit or don't take that rolling right turn, which is with a lot of just how a lot of people get caught on those red lights. But is any of us can attest? Um Those cameras are set up to get you and they can say the reason they're going to get you. Is to protect the Children. But The reality is they're going to get you and there's big money in these Mhm. Yeah. Big money that towns don't want to give up it, didn't they? They looked into it. And I thought they put new rules, at least in the city. About how long that yellow light has to be. Because you're right. Some of them were a flash. They did tweak the yellow light length in the city of Chicago, which is a different company. But then remember Mayor Lightfoot, who campaigned saying that she thought the speed cameras in the red light cameras in the city where essentially predatory and she while she didn't say she was going to get rid of them? She certainly Led voters to believe that she thought they were overly aggressive in in that program needed to be dialed back well, fast forward two years into her term, and her administration actually lowered The threshold for getting a speed ticket on those cameras. Yeah, well, hey, I want to make sure we don't run out of time. I've heard the promo throughout the day here on WGN radio about a special that you're doing on GMTV tonight about united Chicago Remembering 9 11.
