Calling Out the Biden Administration's Bluff on Fighting Iran
"Bongino that was pathetic I was listening during the break it's over now but John Kirby the White House Strategic Jim director communications or whatever ridiculous title they give him was given a presser and that Jackie Heinrich from Fox was just asking some really simple questions okay listen you keep threatening Iran with repercussions if you attack US troops you've now done it what seven or eight times so something gonna happen and I did a whole show yesterday on this my opinion on another war in the Middle East and I think we have to be very cautious so we're not gonna recover that that again today however that question does deserve an answer correct because if you're the gonna be president United States I'd rather you not say anything and be the crazy man and let them think you're nuts and you're gonna you're gonna go crazy on them any minute then saying something and not following up because that incentivizes more attacks and all Biden keeps saying is if you're thinking about attacking and jumping in this fight don't don't and then they do and then what does he say again I'm gonna say don't again

Fresh update on "presser" discussed on The MMQB NFL Podcast
"Yeah, you know, the only thing I want to add to that is, like, you know, people talk about the 13 seconds against the Chiefs, and the Bills should know better, but I'm like, look at maybe your last couple games where Russell Wilson just, you know, threw a prayer down the field and got a DPI to set up a game-winning field where his time expired, like, why don't you just try that, you know, just throw it down there, and I really want to go into Sean McDermott's mind, I know he got asked questions about it, but I'm like, was that pick six Hail Mary on his mind from Black Friday, where like, yeah, you know what, I'd rather go for it than we lose a game, I'm like, you know, it's the Jets, have more faith in your team with that, I don't think that was a process, but I'm like, what's going on in his mind where you have Josh Allen, who might have the strongest arm in the NFL, just throw it up, it's okay, I think have some little faith in your players, but he's seen a lot of, you know, blown, you know, blown assignments and miscommunication, maybe he got scared, and I know people are talking about firing this time on your map, but, you know, I don't know, it might be time for, like you mentioned with Sean McDermott, he maxed his ceiling, he touched it, ready to go on, you did what you could, it hasn't worked out, so that might be one of these jobs where like, you did not maybe expect to be open, and it could be, and it could, you know, kind of throw a little wrench there for all the coaching candidates. Yeah, no, it's well said, and I think, well, before we move on to the Eagles and Niners, which are gonna preview that game, because you could make an argument, it's best game of the year, little news, as we're doing this, as we're recording this podcast on Wednesday, well, I guess for you it's morning, for me it's early afternoon, Aaron Rodgers, the 21 day window has opened for Aaron Rodgers as the Jets are giving him an opportunity to return to practice, and I don't know how you feel, I'll try to be succinct with this, what? Like what, you're four and seven, and your offensive line looks like me, Gilberto, and three guys off the street, and you're thinking it's a good idea to put this guy back out there right now. Like, my personal opinion of this, I think this is an, hey, look at me, I might be able to practice, look at me, make sure I'm in the newspaper, make sure I'm in the headlines, I think Aaron Rodgers, I don't think it's unfair to say, despite what he says, he likes the headlines and he likes a little bit of attention, and I think this is what this is about, if the Jets actually put him in a game, everybody should be fired, everybody. I don't care if he's healthy, even if he has a miraculous recovery and all that, which I don't think frankly is possible, but if he does, you're going to put him in there when they're five and ten? I mean, what is the point of this? So I don't get it, I think the Jets are just trying to placate him at this point, but I also think it's insane that there's any idea that he might come back this season. Yeah, you know, I had a couple mixed feelings about this, like a couple weeks ago I'm like, you know what, it's been such a miserable season for the Jets, Aaron Rodgers, play a game for next year, it's been such a terrible year, maybe you need something good like that. And then the more they watch this team, and I see Tim Boyle struggle, Zach Wilson, Daniel Hackett, Randall Cobb can't play, Adam Lazar is not even doing anything, he's getting in trouble with the team already, it's like, these are all the choices from Aaron Rodgers, so if Aaron Rodgers plays, and he does well, and you win a couple of meaningless games, it's kind of like, it's an insurance for the franchise, Joe Douglas and Robert Salah, see, we got the right guy, it just didn't work out, and everything he's saying is telling us, it's true, it's okay, let's keep listening to the guy, and it's like, stop giving Aaron Rodgers everything that he wants, I get it, he came to your franchise to try to help you, but you tried it his way, and it didn't work out unfortunately because he's not available, but you gotta have some backup options, you gotta have a roster that could implement, just in case a 40-year-old quarterback gets hurt again next year, we should have a different backup who's more competent, stop getting your boys Aaron Rodgers, or get a wide receiver, or an OC who can work on the fly and just kind of call it a nice game to help out your backup, nothing has worked out with Aaron Rodgers' choices, I'm like, if he plays and he does well, it's more like, see, we did everything right, it just didn't work out, so let's keep doing everything we're doing right now with the healthy Rodgers, and it's like, no, you don't need that, have a couple, plan B, plan C, and try to figure out, because you gotta expect the worst when it comes to this franchise. Yeah, I just, I'm sorry, can you imagine what this is gonna be like if he comes back and blows his Achilles out again? Then what? Then when's he coming back? Like, if the Jets trot Aaron Rodgers out on the field, I don't care what he says, I don't care if he sits behind the scenes saying, look, I wanna be out there, and if I'm not out there, it's gonna be a problem, fine, then it's a problem, I'm not playing you, this is crazy, this is insane, it's like if Joe Burrow, like let's, and I honestly, I know he just had surgery, I'm not sure exactly what the timeline is, but let's say his timeline was four months to recover, and Joe Burrow was like, listen, I know we're hopelessly out of the playoff race, and it's week 17, and my wrist is basically, has like spaghetti tendons at the moment, but you know what I love to do? I like to go out and play against Kansas City on New Year's Eve because it's a rivalry, and I'm feeling like I oughta be out there. Like, there's no world where Zach Taylor's like, yeah, listen, Joe, that sounds like a good idea, let's do that. Like, at some point, you just have to shut him down. I can understand this to some extent, man, if they were in the playoff race or something, okay, you're still taking a huge chance, but I get it, you're four and seven and can't block anybody, you know? I mean, hell, you mentioned Allen Lazard, they signed him to a four-year deal, and Sala, in the presser the other day, is talking about how, yeah, you know, we've got Allen for another year and a half, he's already thinking about cutting him after two years. It's just, look, that team has been a wreck my entire life, well before I was born, okay? The idea that it's there's any merit in playing Aaron Rodgers right now is just nuts. Let's go to a team that wears green that actually has a clue. The Eagles, who are 10 and 1. They're hosting the 49ers. They have won games against Dallas, Kansas City and the Bills the last three weeks. All of which are very entertaining games. Now they take on the Niners. We'll get to the line in a little bit here because we're going to talk about it one more time here at the end. The Niners are favored in this game and yet it's in Philadelphia. If the Eagles win this game, they're essentially the one seed. I don't know that there's any way that they're not. They'd be three up with a breaker on the Niners. They're two up on the Lions right now already. And the Eagles, they're scheduled after this stretch is not that hard. They play Dallas again but after they get the Giants twice and they have Arizona. They're going to win these games. What are you looking for in this game more than anything else? You know just kind of the intensity level increasing and you know I keep trying to find a game where the Eagles are going to be like okay you know all right that game against the Bills feels like a trap game. You had so much emotion in that Arrowhead game against the Chiefs. You came back. You won. It was a Monday short week. You're kind of due for a track against the Bills. It almost came to fruition but they went to overtime and that's what they do man. They find the way to win and like you were mentioning people are saying well they haven't played their best and I'm like I bet the opponents of the Eagles are thinking yeah that means there's room for improvement. They're 10 and 1. They could get better. That's a scary sight for the rest of the NFL. So you know I keep trying to find a way okay there's got to be a letdown game for this team. Like you know hurts could be sometimes up and down. The secondary is terrible but not this week. They're like that there's such a rivalry there from from last year's you know what could have been should have been and I love this Hunter Redick's quote man I don't be caught it was like a lot of boohoo over there in San Francisco saying what if what could have been well come over to Philly and get it done. So that tells them they're gonna be hyped up for that game and and just say all right you know we want you to stop crying stop complaining we're gonna you know you know come to our house we're gonna show you a physical game and you know I'm just worried about the 49ers being so surprised man that they're actually we're gonna do our picks later but they're the favorites they're like minus two and a half or minus three in Philly but to me it's like this game I think the Eagles have circled it for the entire year whenever the counter came out so I think the intensity level is going to be high for this one and I can't wait for it. The Niners have spent the entire last nine months whining about the fact that they're a better team they should have won this game and look maybe I get it if you're a Niners player you're probably incredibly disappointed you get all the way to that game and then you have no shot I get it like I understand the feelings but when you spend nine months just constantly complaining about the situation like yeah that other team is going to be hyped up to the hilt for this game and by the way so are those fans so that is going to be an interesting spot. I'll give my pick later I'm looking forward to seeing how Purdy plays against the secondary because the Eagles one thing about him this year you can throw the ball all over I mean that they have not stopped teams from throwing the football I'm curious in this game can Purdy who as we just laid out he didn't play really what you play one series in the AFC title game I should have got knocked out the elbow injury like I'm curious what he does against the secondary this is the secondary you can throw the ball on so if the Niners are going to win this game that's how they're doing it they're going to be able they're going to be able to get the ball at you get the kiddo and the debo and on and on and on the flip side can the Niners get a pass rush against that Eagles offensive line Lane Johnson said he's going to be back it's a great front you know now we saw the Chiefs get five sacks and a half it gets felt off you but they play a little differently they bring a lot of different blitz packages can the Niners with that front four with Chase Young now can they get home that's those on both sides of the ball those are the two matchups I'm looking at um I think especially the latter one to me is fascinating who wins that matchup I think it's probably the point of the game yeah I think for me for in terms of matchup wise like what are the four Niners fall behind and the Eagles are just kind of controlling the the game script the tempo the pace whatever it is just being physical having long drives with the tush push fourth and one and Brock Purdy on the sideline cold uh you know Deebo can't get going seems he can't going so and we we know the stats about Kyle Shannon well I don't remember the stat but it's something terrible where like you fall behind the fourth quarter although like 36 or something yeah so I kind of want to see that play out and I think the 49ers need that for the like the last kind of check mark okay are you going to be are you are you finally going to win the Super Bowl we're going to Philly had kind of a physical gritty game maybe it's raining like just kind of have the worst conditions ever and come back and that game and then you go into the playoffs feeling good like right now the 49ers are playing the best football in the NFL this last three game stretch here to forget about the three game winning streak you know you know they should be ranked number one but it's just that that like people like to say the DNA of winning finding a way to do it the Eagles have that they're so talented and that's the scariest side like I mentioned they have room for improvement and they're 10 and 1 so they could get better and I feel like they might get better in this game because of all the crying the last nine months but I kind of want to see the Eagles having their pace and say you're here you're in our home try to win this way because the 49ers that's kind of their thing like they're a little they're physical on defense the second there's a little thin but that offense to me just feels like it's like a like a boxing match you know power against skill and you know what's going to win yeah I am fascinated I mean it also I'm curious in this game like how big of a loss is a funga in this game you know that's not going to show up when you're playing bad teams does it show up on Sunday all right real quick before we get into our bigger story and then the five lines as well of course so right now we talk playoff picture at the beginning of the show which team can be the conference who's on the outside of the playoff picture right now do you think will find their way into the playoffs so okay so a team though it's outside right now that will make it in you know keep looking at the Broncos like I kind of have like the soft spot for the Texans and that's why this game is so big we're gonna we're gonna do our picks here Broncos and the Texans but I keep having an eye on the Broncos man that defense you know I think they had with 14 takeaways in this game this fight game win this referee what it is but there was like a three game stretch where they had 12 oh my that's insane there so playing well defensively and then you know I'm gonna give credit to Sean Payne like you know Sean Payton it was his fault for you know yapping before the season and kind of putting a bullseye on his back and pretty much going to you know what it's a quick fix not gonna hack it and those guys they couldn't do anything watch me do it and they get you know rocked seven to twenty they're one to five but champagne is a good coach and I think if you just kind of didn't talk so much it's like okay all right let's have a process here it's our first year we're gonna get it done we're gonna figure out this roster from the previous regime these players do we like them that we don't and they've kind of gotten past that point okay let's see what we do our way and credit to Sean Payton you know being patient with Vance Joseph and such in this era where people are so impatient and just fire everybody he could easily fire Vance Joseph after September it was it was that bad and they're one of the best defensive units in the NFL and Sean Payne is doing an built-in offense it's kind of like all right Russell you're not the same dude but just play safe protect the ball just give it to your running backs throw it to courtland study whenever we need a ball to be thrown for third or one or or red zone target and it's getting it's working so you know I want to see this defense against CJ Stroud and I think that I'll be the way my pick will kind of turn out I don't want to take the easy route so I'll go with the Broncos but those two teams are in my radar well it works out it's funny I'm actually gonna go with Houston so I think Houston I think Houston's gonna get to 11 wins I think Houston's gonna their schedule's a joke I mean they beat Denver their schedule's really easy down the stretch now I will say Houston's a young team and Houston is the reason Carolina is not winless okay and they lost to Atlanta like they can lose some games they shouldn't but I am taking my feeling on this give me the best quarterback it's not in the playoffs right now and for me Stroud is that kind you could argue Stafford that's fine and maybe we're both dumb for not taking an NFC team because the NFC is such a wreck but I I'll go Stroud I'll go Stroud and the Texans I think they'll they'll find their way in so that that Houston game with Denver as you say huge game major importance real quick actually before we get to the five best games bigger story look we got to bring it up even though the Panthers are 110 right now Frank Reich fired after 11 games I mean that's unheard of Nathaniel Hackett got more games than that Urban Meyer got more games than that Frank Reich universally respected in the NFL one of the good guys by every account and yet he's gone after 11 games one and ten David Tepper moving on couldn't even pronounce his name right in the press conference kept saying I kept saying it wrong what is the bigger story moving forward for the Panthers is it the struggles of Bryce Young was nine touchdowns eight picks this year including a bunch of pick sixes or is it David Tepper's inability to stay out of the football side of operations yeah that's a good question I'm gonna go with Bryce Young let's just help David Tepper figures out oh crap I told people to pick Bryce Young or I didn't say I kind of just initiated or just kind of hinted hey keep keep going with that guy over there instead of CJ Stroud so maybe he feels like all right I effed up here but we got to go work on on the pick that I made so you know I'm gonna go with Bryce Young he like I'm gonna be honest he looks terrible it looks bad doesn't look like he belongs out there and you know the size you know every time I watch him play I'm like he's small out there and you gotta you gotta build a better roster to help him out you can't be a creator away from the pocket that's that was one of the skills of Alabama if you don't have a good offensive line if you don't have any weapons either and you know I'm so mad at myself for thinking this team's gonna be decent in the off season I'm like Miles Sanders not bad dealing mingo okay and I'm like what was I thinking I'm giving this offense a chance and the other part too man it's like you know Tepper building this all-star coaching staff okay they could probably do something here with Frank Wright and I should have known the second that they missed out on Ben Johnson and Frank Wright was prize number two and Tepper was meddling with the coaching staff that's probably not a good recipe to building a good coach over there so but they're stuck with Bryce Young you don't have a first round pick because you gave it away to the Bears you don't have a number one wide receiver because you gave them to the Bears with DJ Moore so and you thought this offensive line bringing them back was the answer it wasn't so you got to rebuild the offensive line get weapons get a good running back and help out your quarterback so I think until then until they do that and get the right personnel I don't want to write off Bryce Young again this in this era people are very impatient it's not looking good I'm not going to deny that but you got to go and somehow give Bryce Young a fighting chance he was your number one pick that you gave up a whole boat load of picks and DJ Moore for so make it work so yeah look you could go either way here I'll always take the temper angle just because you want Bryce Young look I have been a fan of teams that have bad ownership and you're just screwed like there is no way around it okay I am a Knicks fan I have gone through my entire life of James Dolan just getting in the way and finally it appears that he's so tired of being in the way that he's finally just sat down and oh look at that the Knicks are probably going to win 50 games this year okay like it's it is the worst thing that can happen in your franchise okay I for years and years and years my entire life I was an Oakland A's fan in baseball like they've literally gotten me to the point I don't even watch baseball anymore like I hate the owners so much excuse me John Fisher I cannot stand them with such a passion that I will not room for them and I've gotten to know some people in the Brewers organization I'm like yeah that's fine them never thought it was possible I was never somebody who could ever change teams the ownership actually forced me to do it I worry that Tepper is one of these owners who just can't get out of his own way he just cannot like look man I don't care where you made your billions I don't care you didn't make them in the NFL you don't know you don't know and that's a problem like in the NFL guys come in from all walks of life from all types of businesses where they've made their fortunes and of course wherever they were they were extremely successful the problem with that becomes a lot of these guys didn't think well then I'll be successful doing this I know what I'm doing the NFL is a different beast and excuse me and with that some guys learn okay I gotta be more hands-off here and I gotta hire people to do the job and get out of their way and some people never learn that I mean Jerry Jones has been Jerry Jones's entire tenure as the owner of the Cowboys the only thing that saved him early was Jimmy Johnson the second Jimmy Johnson got run off how's that been going I mean you know look you look at Daniel Snyder in Washington the train wreck forever the best owners in the NFL are the ones who hire football people and get out of the has not been able to do that we'll see maybe he'll learn maybe he'll grow he's a young owner but my concern is that Tepper's just going to be one of these guys who's constantly involved the good news is for the pants is I think he's willing to spend the money I think he wants to win but none of that matters if he's the one constantly making the football's decisions and that is where right now from Carolina I'm concerned yeah if you don't get a wake-up call and look yourself in the mirror after this the way it turned out with the number one pick and this whole hiring process with Frank Wright and then also meddling and saying hey pick these guys it's also our team then he's probably gonna learn for a long time and you're probably right there like that's kind of a scary sight to know that this guy could be around for 10 20 years and still be meddling and and just kind of say you know what do that and do that and that could be a whole issue and you know and real quick credit to Albert Breer and Connor Orr for I checked on Monday show and you know one thing that I forgot about like the Panthers can't figure out if they want to start winning now or rebuilding like they trade CMC they keep Brian Burns like they trade DJ Moore you know and think and they go spend money in the opposite thing for Bryson like figure out a route for his path and stay committed and see what happens oh great points by those guys very true um all right let's get in to the week 13 lines as always got a five pack of them uh we're gonna start with Thursday night's game Seattle coming off of a couple of losses now at Dallas, Dallas Satan 3 trying to stay near Philadelphia trying to make that rematch at home matter with the Eagles um the Cowboys are laying nine and a half a huge line and they have been great at home this year they've destroyed teams um they've also played the commanders and the Giants and the Jets and the Pats at home so the Seahawks a little bit of a step up in class but the Seahawks struggling nonetheless you liked uh Dallas here and if you do do you like him by the full nine and a half yeah I'm glad you asked that last part because for some reason I keep believing the Seahawks are gonna make games close like I gave them the the seven points against the 49ers I gave them the seven points against the Ravens getting beat down and I think I'm gonna give them the eight and a half points and Dallas wins a lot at home and I don't know why I keep believing in Seattle but obviously the pick is a cowboy I'm not gonna go away from that it's gonna be the Cowboys but eight and a half is a lot of points and they're just too talented and I just don't learn my lesson went to the Seahawks team and Matt maybe maybe we jinxed ourselves when you're brought up the other day hey we actually picked the Seahawks to be in Super Bowl one of our I guess our previews way back in April and they've been terrible ever since so you know I'll just say this real quick I know we didn't get a chance to talk about the NMC when it came to you know teams making the playoffs but if the Seahawks go 0-4 which they're they're 1-0 or 0-1 already because the 49ers they lose to the Cowboys lose to the 49ers lose to the Eagles again I don't want to see you in the playoffs you you don't belong in the playoffs you can't compete with these top dogs at least maybe the Rams or the Packers get a sniff here because at least the Packers are just gonna beat the Lions and you know the the Rams beat the Seahawks twice I don't want to see you in the playoffs so unless you if you go on four here in this stretch here you don't belong in it so show me some fight and I'm gonna take the eight and a half points in the Seahawks for my last kind of like all right don't fool me anymore one more try here but I'm taking the Cowboys okay I'm taking the Cowboys and I'm swallowing the points because I have been like you I have picked Seattle to cover I feel like every game and I'm just tired of it I'm tired of watching Seattle I'm like hey man I I wrote like we do our our best picks of the week every every week with Craig Ellenport and I I remember writing very strongly when I'm like why are the Seahawks big dogs against Baltimore this is stupid and I beat by like 40 points and I was like all right you know listen I guess we're all bound to have those days but that hurts and then I picked them to cover against San Francisco and that game was it was a killing so I'm not going to go that route I like Dallas in this game I think Dallas is playing great football Dak is playing excellent football some of the best of his career the last couple months I always worry about Dallas when they play really good teams but I think Seattle at this point is a decent team so I think they will handle business I think they will win at home it's a short week but it's not really because both of them played last Thursday so you know it really is a full week of practice for both sides of course Dallas getting the comfy confines I I like the Cowboys in this game something like 30 to 20 I think it's right around the number but if I have to go one way or the other on the number I will take Dallas who who has been blowing teams out so give them credit all right on the ASG side as we mentioned earlier a couple times really important game in Houston haven't been able to say that in a long time but this year the Texans are much better they are six and five Denver is six and five on a five-game winning streak Denver is weird in the sense that you watch these games and you're never like yeah Denver looks great but they just keep finding a way to win and give them credit some of those wins are coming it's really good football teams shout out to the Bills who can't count and the the Texans laying three and a half at home in what is not only a big games is for the for record but for tiebreaker as well here a huge game do you like Denver or Houston uh in energy stadium it's a tough one and I know earlier in the show I I picked the Broncos or against the team to probably make it in the playoffs and it won't make sense because I'm going with the Texans here and I just realized that because I also did it on our mmqb pickums and I hate to change and like when people ask me to make picks I just keep them all the same I hate to lose track and whether they choose either so it doesn't make sense I picked the Broncos earlier but I'm gonna go with the Texans to win this game here and you know they're home I go with the Bronx I think the Broncos could cover that three and a half there you know it should be a close game could be one of these one-point games or one of these close games like as time expires the field will kind of thing so you know I do like the Broncos defense you know but it's CJ straight out kind of gets on a hot stretch there with tank there or Nico Collins and scores a couple touchdowns do we trust Russell Wilson and kind of you know get a couple scores going from playing from behind like they've benefited from short fields from all these takeaways too so you know I gave Sean Payton his credit earlier and Russell Wilson but if Stroud gets back in a heater and it's kind of a little he was a little quiet for his standards which says a lot for rookie last week against the Jaguars like he had a couple big plays to tank there and he kind of was a little quiet in the fourth quarter but he set it up for that field goal and they missed it but you know I think CJ Stroud being at home and just being able to put up points that's why I leaned with the Texans but I expect a close game yes I'm gonna take the Texans all again I'll swallow the three and a half points look I think Denver deserves all the credit in the world for one five straight here they could have folded the tent they could have sold off half the team they didn't do that and they've won five straight kudos to them the problem I have is a lot of these games have been like hey we've gotten eight turnovers from the other team I mean the Bills and the Chiefs basically were like here's the game beat us and both those games came down to it I mean even though the Chiefs lost 24 to 9 I think it was 14 9 with five minutes left and the Chiefs fumbled a punt return so they're on five yard line that was the game and we all saw the Bills game which is one of the most ridiculous football games of the year I feel like Denver deserves credit and yet at the same point it also deserves a little bit of like closer analysis Minnesota did the same thing Minnesota turned the ball over a million times and and yet barely lost and then last week it's like Dorian Thompson Robinson quarterback I don't know I I feel like if Houston doesn't turn the ball over three or four times away in this game so I will take Houston Denver by the way is a huge stretch for them five in a row but now three game road swing Texans Chargers Lions you got to win two of them you got to win two of them you're gonna make the playoffs you got to win two of these games they could beat the Chargers hell everybody can beat the Chargers but like can you win one of those two others and can Crypto Banter
A highlight from The U.S. Just BANNED DeFi (What It Means For Crypto)
"The US has just tried to kill DeFi, and it could take a lot of other cryptocurrencies down. Now, this video isn't clickbait. So if you clicked on this video expecting me to spin some sort of other narrative, I'm not even joking. The US has just released a new document, a new proposal from the BINDED Administration, which outlines its plan to regulate cryptocurrencies. And honestly, some of the lines in this document are absolutely shocking. And if this goes through, it's going to have major ramifications, not only for the entirety of DeFi, but crypto itself. And I want to talk about exactly what the ramifications can be. Without further ado, let's get straight into what exactly this proposal was, what they're trying to do with crypto, and give you the step -by -step breakdown of what this could actually mean for cryptocurrency. So what you need to know is that essentially the US Treasury and the IRS, which is their tax department, just introduced a tax proposal that I think could effectively kill DeFi as we know it, especially in the US market. And we know this is still the biggest market for finance and cryptocurrency worldwide. Essentially, they just released a proposed cryptocurrency regulation proposal. You know, the BINDED Administration has been working on their updated proposal that may deem applications like Uniswap, Metamask, that's right, even crypto wallets, even Etherscan to be brokers and thus be forced to implement KYC. And that would obviously have huge ramifications for cryptocurrency and also all the tokens related to this. And I'm not just fearmongering. I'm going to give you my take and I'm also going to tell you exactly what's happening. Now, let's read exactly from the news article as it first broke here. They said the proposed rules would also apply to other digital assets such as NFTs. They would also apply to DeFi finance platforms which use software to link crypto buyers and sellers directly rather than routing their orders through a company such as Coinbase. Obviously, what the US government wants is they want all transactions to happen through exchanges which they order, which they regulate like Coinbase. They want to get their hands, of course, on every single cent of tax dollars that they can. And they will also use that as an excuse in order to overregulate or overreach in the DeFi sphere. Now, DeFi by nature is decentralized, right? The US shouldn't be able to touch it. But they're really trying here with these proposed changes to make tweaks to the law which enable them to force a lot of these applications to implement KYC or essentially face major sanctions like we saw with tornado cash. I think the problem DeFi is facing at the moment is that a lot of the founders just don't really feel comfortable operating the US in the US because even if technically they aren't doing anything wrong, they don't want to face DOJ action over money laundering and all sorts of crazy claims in case they are viewed to have overreached or overstepped past the law in the eyes of the US jurisdiction. So a lot of these guys are going to really back off and maybe even stop offering their products in the US if they feel threatened. But without getting too carried away with some of the impacts here, let's just go through some of the proposed tax rules and read through the official document that we did get from the US Treasury and IRS today. So essentially to recap, the proposed tax rules. Metamask is considered a broker and has to KYC and report all its users unless it removes the swap function. Uniswap is a broker and is required to update its UI to a new KYC version. Anything with a multi -sig is also a broker and would be required to add KYC. We can see here that the latter exclusion does not therefore exclude wallet softwares like Metamask from the definition of a facilitative service if the software also provides users with direct access to trading platforms. What they're saying is, look, if you can essentially trade on an application, even if you're a wallet, if you have swaps, we're going to consider you to be a broker and brokers have to KYC their customers. That's essentially the TLDR on what they're saying here. Reading the second part again, I actually think it's worse, says Spreak. They're saying that Uniswap and anyone else that can change the fees on their contracts are going to be required to increase fees to maximum to force users to stop using their platform slash move on to the new KYC version of the platform. This is only phase one. Next, they will come for unhosted wallets and force all the brokers to share your info between each other to create a consolidated 1099. Of course, any activity outside of regulated brokers, your 1099 basis will be wrong. Have fun getting audited. That is pretty crazy. Now, Adam Cochrane breaks this down and gives his take on what he thinks this means for crypto. He highlights one specific line here from the filing that says operators of websites that interact with wallets. Given that a wallet seems to be defined as the actual blockchain account rather than using the software, this technically means that this would find everything including Etherscan and tax software to be brokers. This isn't just heinous overreach. This is a failure to fundamentally understand the technology of crypto. It's like requiring every browser company to get a postmaster license just because they deal with email. And we can't complain about ChokePoint. Sorry, we can complain about ChokePoint all we want, but it's not. It's a regulatory capture because brokerages will be able to offer their services through wallet, through walled gardens that defeat the entire point of the DeFi system. What he's saying here is, look, as I said before, the US would rather just have all the centralized exchanges under their purview and be able to capture essentially the upside to cryptocurrency because if there's more trading volume, they directly capture that for disincentivizing users to use DeFi and use CFI instead. This treasury administration is attempting to declare that viewing or broadcasting public information without custody, profit, or control of that information makes you a broker like Etherscan, like MetaMask. That's about as close to thought gram as you can get. Get the fuck out. P .S. regulation is going to happen and some isn't bad, but this industry wants reasonable regulation that understands the technology and doesn't hand DeFi back to the plutocracy of middlemen who have effed over generations of this economy. This is what we asked and I 100 % would side with Adam Cochrane here in his take. If you don't want to read the full document, you can read it. I did link it in my tweet if you want to check out my tweet, but these are basically the main points that you need to know. They're essentially trying to implement KYC on websites or DeFi applications that they consider brokers. But by nature of this, you could consider MetaMask to be a broker. You could consider any crypto bridge to be a broker. Any DeFi application that has any sort of interaction with tokens and swapping, that could be a broker. So all of your DEXs, etc. So is this going to kill crypto? What does this mean for DeFi? Well, to be honest, DeFi is immutable. So I guess this is the beautiful thing about what decentralized finance is. It's essentially built for this, right? It's built so it can't be like regulated in this manner. It's built so no one centralized party, even be it the US government, can step in and stop it. It is built for this. So DeFi exists for this very purpose. It is owned by the people. It's controlled by the people. That's why tokens act as governance. So the people or the holders of the tokens have control over the applications. But what saddens me to see is the overreach of the Biden administration. It saddens me to see that these proposals can be so overzealous and like ill thought through because they didn't even think through a lot of these claims. And it just makes me sad that the US is going down this path, especially in the context of the DOJ action against the tornado cash founder who, look, he just created an app, right? All this guy did was create a platform. If money launderers were going to use it to money launder, that's their prerogative. But the fact that he's being sanctioned for money laundering, it's absolutely crazy. And as I said, this may disincentivize project founders from offering infrastructure in the US. So what does all this mean? Well, the lucky thing is this hasn't officially been approved yet. These are proposed regulations from the US, but they aren't official regulations. A lot still needs to happen from a legislative perspective for this to actually come into action. And you've got to remember, this is just in the context of the Biden administration. If someone else gets elected next year, well, it's going to be a completely different ballgame in terms of how crypto is regulated. The other thing is with cases like tornado cash and even the Binance and the Coinbase cases, these still have to go through the courts of law. And like we saw with the SEC versus the XRP case, oftentimes the court of law does hold the truth. And the key to the truth could very well mean that the US doesn't have jurisdiction to regulate in such a manner. And in that case, it would be a big win for crypto. So the US hasn't completely killed crypto yet, but today it did take a huge step in the wrong direction because obviously forcing KYC upon users essentially eliminates the purpose of DeFi. Like why have DeFi if everyone has to be KYC, if every single thing needs to be monitored and tracked and audited, I mean, that's just basically CFI, right? So I do think effectively the US wants to kill DeFi, but it's not even just the US, it's mainly just the current administration. And if that changes, then I think also the approach to regulating crypto changes, but DeFi being immutable, I don't think this will knock it down. And the other thing is, you know, across multiple jurisdictions in the world, like Europe has its own MICA regulatory framework for these kind of assets. Australia is building their own, Hong Kong's building their own, Dubai is doing their own, you know, Singapore is doing their own. All of these countries are having their own take on how they want to regulate crypto and regulate DeFi. So even if the US does somehow pass some crazy sanction or some crazy limits or KYC order upon every single DeFi protocol, crypto will still survive. Will it take a hit? Yes, because the US users are obviously a massive part of the market, but it will still survive. I just feel sorry for all the project founders in the US right now that are having to deal with such a gray area from a regulatory perspective. So that's all I have to say on that for now, but I will keep you updated. But for the rest of this video, we still have a lot to talk about. We just had Jackson Hole, which was Jerome Powell's presser, which I want to break down and talk about how this is affecting the market because Bitcoin is moving right now. And then I also want to discuss Pepe. I want to talk about the Pepe crash this morning and give my take on whether I think Pepe is dead, whether I think, you know, this is a good buying opportunity, what I think you should do with Pepe and what I'm doing with Pepe. So those are the two major conversations I want to have now to wrap up the show. Let me know what you think of the first segment in the comments below in relation to the US sanctions. Now, before we get into the presser summary and then the Pepe stuff, I want to give a shout out to one of our official show partners, OpenX. I actually just wanted to give you a quick update, to be honest, on what I did today. So basically, I staked 200 ,000 of my OX tokens and I made a bold move. I decided to lock them for a year. I don't know necessarily like how this is going to pan out. It's a little bit of an experiment, but basically the logic behind staking it for a year is I earn $400 in weekly rewards. By the way, 200 ,000 tokens is around $10 ,000 of the tokens. And essentially that comes out to around a 200 % yield per annum, which means I would theoretically break even in six months if it maintains a $400 weekly reward. The major caveat being over time, this could drop if the token value changes, and I don't expect to break even that quickly. If I do, amazing. If I don't, it's okay. I'm still going to get access to the airdrops. So the whole reason behind why I staked and locked is so I can get boosted rewards on their airdrop programs for their justice tokens, for their duties tokens, and for their FMT tokens as well. They're doing lots of kind of these airdrop launchpad style rewards for stakers of the OX token, which is obviously the governance token of the OpenX exchange. So just want to give you a little update there because I did say in past shows that I would stake just was updating you that I did decide to stake for an entire year. So I guess I'm committed to this for the long term. Let's hope I can keep cashing in these $400 weekly rewards for the foreseeable future. I do think it'll drop. But if the token can hold up in value and even go up over time, which I hope it does, then I should do well off it. Not financial advice. I'm not saying you should buy, you should stake. They are a show partner. So just want to give full disclosure there. But just wanted to give you a little update in what I'm doing. You want to learn anything else about OpenX or even use the actual exchange, which by the way, is a great exchange to trade on. There is a link in the description if you want to check it out and use it. But yeah, just give me an update. So speaking of updates, let's talk about what happened at Jerome Powell's Jackson Hole speech. Kabisi let us summarize this by saying, number one, they're prepared to raise further if needed. We all know Jerome Powell would say that. Number two, the Fed would not change the 2 % inflation target. We all knew that he would say that. Three, they will proceed carefully on whether to hike again. That's not really news, is it? Four, lowering inflation will require softer labor markets. Obviously, five, above trend growth, it could warrant more rate hikes. We all know this higher for longer stances. Still the one he's taking. It seems like a long pause is coming, Kabisi said. Kabisi also said that the odds of a 25 bps rate hike in September more than doubled to 21 % after Powell's speech. Odds of an additional rate hike this year just hit a two -month high. So people are anticipating now after the speech, we will get more rate hikes. And that's why Bitcoin did respond. We'll get into that in a second. Rate cuts are now not expected to begin until June 2024. So it delayed the rate cut cycle slightly. The Fed wants 2 % inflation and will do whatever it takes to get there. The rollercoaster ride continues. However, none of that was really a shock with Alex Kruger saying the speech was a major non -event. Markets reacted positively for a moment as there were concerns he may talk higher terminal rates, which didn't happen. Equities flat, bonds flat, crypto asleep. Just noise. Crypto was asleep, but we did see Bitcoin starting to decline and drop below this 26k level. On the smaller timeframes like the one hour and the four hour, the 26k level is super, super important. But on the daily and the weekly timeframe, which for me are more important for my long -term buyers and my longer -term swing trades, we are still holding above this zone with the key support level on some exchanges, which we wicked into being 25k. And you can see even clearer on the weekly chart that the 25k level is also super important. If we look at the I'll show you EMA 200 and also the QEMA, which we did break down below, but we are now touching. So very, very important to see how Bitcoin reacts to this zone. We are on support on this EMA on the weekly. However, we also have to keep in mind we have that horizontal support as well at the 25k zone. So that is really what I'm looking at for Bitcoin. No updates there, but I will be doing a live stream on Sunday where I'll be doing live research. We'll be doing a Q &A. I'll be telling you what I bought this week because I did make some big market moves. But I'm saving those buys and my trades for Sunday because I'm going to make this a thing. Every weekend we get together, we do a live stream, we discuss trades, etc. Now, one trade I may be making that I haven't made yet, but I do want to talk about now is Pepe because I'm getting a lot of questions. Is Pepe dead? What should I do with Pepe? Will Pepe ever recover, etc.? I want to discuss that right now. So look, seeing looking at the Pepe chart, we can see that it did have a huge correction of around 25 % this morning. Reason for that being a lot of FUD started to occur around Pepe. And this wasn't FUD that was based in complete fiction. A lot of this was fact. And I'll explain what the facts are. The facts are the team via their multisig cashed out $15 .7 million worth of Pepe to exchanges. So this was across, I think, OKEx, Binance, Bybit and some other minor exchanges as well. That's just natural profit taking, right? I mean, I know it's not good when you see the team selling tokens. But at the end of the day, they kind of have the right to sell tokens when you think about it. Like they made the project. I know it's not a good sign and the market, of course, reacted accordingly. But it is also the prerogative of the team if they want to take some profits. I think that's normal, especially if they want runway. However, the very weird part about this was they reduced the multisig requirements from five out of eight to two out of eight. What does that mean? Well, whenever you approve a transaction and you're a crypto project, typically you want more than half of your executive team to vote on transactions before they occur. This is stopping one rogue employee or director from ragging the entire project, right? So if they have eight people on the multisig, so eight, you know, let's say executives. Previously, they required five of the eight, so more than 50 percent to approve a transaction. This might be a sell. This might be a buy. This might be selling Pepe to exchanges. This could be a, you know, some sort of major tokenomics tweak, et cetera. But they actually lessen the requirement from five out of eight to two out of eight. And this started to raise a lot of question marks. I mean, was there an internal dispute? Why was none of this communicated on the socials? Will the selling continue? Like, why did they decline it? The really weird thing for me is the Pepe coin each Twitter account didn't post about this. And in fact, if you go into their Twitter account, I'll get up their account now. You can see they haven't posted for days. And I think this sale comes at a really bad time because people are saying, look, they haven't posted since August 12th, which is over 13 days ago, almost two weeks. They haven't actually done any reply since August 13th, which is about two weeks ago. Yet they're dumping tokens and they're changing their multi -situ requirements. And it caused a lot of fun and panic. And I do think that these questions alone do justify a repricing to the downside. Of course, Pepe is going to be worth 20 percent less after this FUD because there was a fundamental knock on the project. And that was a trust knock. And although meme coins don't typically have the most trust in the market, to become like a solidified meme like Doge or Shib, you need some sort of trust in the team. This eroded some of that trust. So publicly, it was definitely bad for the project. And they went about this the wrong way if you ask me. They really should have at least come out in front of it and said, look, we're reducing the multi -situ. This is why. Even lie to us. Tell us something. Tell us there was an internal dispute. Be honest. Or just say, you know, these are the reasons why we do it. Or even just tell us we're going to sell because we want to, I don't know, develop new products and we want to keep runway for the team. And blah, blah, blah. Even that's better than just selling and not saying anything, right? So it definitely just justifies the repricing to the downside. And it did raise some red flags.

Whistleblowers Expose Shocking IRS Discrimination Against Taxpayers
"Cannot remember reading something And I could just put the period there, but let me just continue. I can't remember reading something Like I read this document today, not the whole thing, but at least the first Quarter of it the testimony of the whistleblower. Oh the IRS was and and Feeling like even though I was reading slowly like my mouth kept dropping my jaw kept dropping open like I Had this constant thought in my head going wait what No, what wait what did he say Wait, they did what I did it throughout the whole thing today And I don't know how many of you have seen all of this none of it some of it But we're gonna dig into this the way we dig into things here and I have the whistleblowers complaint Here starting on page 11, which is where I'm gonna start and I've gone through it And highlighted all of the areas. I want to make sure I bring to your attention Representative Jason Smith though. We're gonna start with him because he was out He gave a presser today and I cut out the two main parts that I wanted you to hear from his presser Because it's a good setup for the whole thing. So Aaron, let's pull up the ways ways and Means Committee presser part one Here is representative Jason Smith the Ways and Means Committee. No, not that we'll get to that. That's The video that's from the box part one Ways and Means part one Um Do we have that There you go part one one here we go but to IRS employees are blowing the whistle with evidence that the federal government is not treating taxpayers equally when enforcing tax laws the whistleblowers were working on an investigation into Hunter Biden that opened in November of 2018 as an offshoot of a separate corporate investigation by the IRS

"presser" Discussed on NBA Front Office w/ Keith Smith & Trevor Lane
"I was basically my pick on him being back. If he's not, that could be enough to swing it because he's been so big for them off the bench hitting those deep shots. Yeah, there could be some factors here as we get closer to game time in terms of who's playing who's not, that sort of thing. From the clipper side, and then again, Paul George, being back, I think that's ultimately what pushes me to this. Because I think Paul George can play towns even, not in the same way, but just in terms of production. I think those two could have their own duel, and then from there, I know lean the clippers to get it done over the rest of the wolves supporting cast. But again, both teams are Gritty, both teams are top both teams have found ways to win games. They do the dirty work. The Patrick Beverly against the clippers narrative is fun and I'm excited to see this one regardless of who is left standing when the dust settles. I think this is going to be a really fun game to see play out. Absolutely. We will break again momentarily the Lakers have now announced that they parted ways with Frank Vogel, that's how they termed it in their pressure. And we'll zip through this next one because I know you've now got work. Yes, I do. On the other side of your job here can't just be about hanging out with me all day. But so the second Western Conference playing game is the San Antonio spurs, number ten seat at the number 9 New Orleans pelicans, 9 30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 13th on the ESPN. As long as the pelicans have, their main guys, no not Zion, probably not Zion. I think the pelicans are enough better than the spurs. I don't love the idea of picking against pop in a one game, even a pseudo one game. Well, this is one game because on this one. I don't like picking against pop there, but I just think the pelicans have too much talent. I think they'll score too much for the spurs to keep pace. I think that's the challenge. Yeah, I'm an agreement there. I'm also going pelicans in this one. I love dejante Murray. I think that he's going to create some problems, but ultimately I think the pelicans should get going to get the job done. CJ McCollum has been fantastic for them. And then you look at just the firepower, they've got between McCollum, Brandon Ingram, and then valentinus in the middle there. That gives you that size. So I think the pelicans do get it done. They are a 5 point favorite as of right now, and I don't see an upset brewing in this one. Nope. All right, we'll come back to you guys with our picks for the final after. I tend to think I'm going just big picture. Nets and hawks are my thaw in the east. Nets is the 7 hawks as the 8. And in the west, I am going Timberwolves clippers as 7, 8. So basically stays as a I just think the hawks will jump the caps..

"As they open their series against the Utah Jazz. So it's we're kind of officially on the clock and on Luca watch, pending this. I will say when I first saw him get hurt, I thought it was the Achilles. Anytime the guy, yeah, anytime a guy pushes off, turns around and looks like a kick or something. He turned right around and then he took another step limped and then started grabbing it and I was like not the Achilles. Like anything but this, but it sounds like that's not the case and we'll know a little bit more details here in the hopefully with the next little bit here of what the MRI showed and fingers crossed. We want every team to be healthy now that's going into the playoffs. Want him fully healthy for gaming. You might need to ready a breaking news siren in case in case that goes down while we're recording. Yeah, playoff wise, I mean look at what we're going to wind up with a four 5 matchup being the Mavs and the Utah Jazz. Without going into a full preview or anything, can the can the jazz well, let's flip it. Can the Mavericks beat the jazz if they don't have Luca? I don't think so. Unless the jazz continue to be an absolute train wreck that is just can't get out of their own way. Then maybe, but yeah, I think if the jazz can reset themselves to some extent, then no, yeah, I don't think they can win without Luke. They'll struggle too much against a Utah defense to create good shots. And then there's a domino effect there. I mean, Quinn Snyder, if they get into the second round, does that keep him in Utah in terms of the coaching situation? What does that mean? I mean, we've heard a lot about jazz players coming on the market as well. And the dawn of Mitchell Rudy Gobert relationship, there's been so many different conversations around this team about how an early playoff flameout could lead to a dismantling of this squad. If there's no Luca and suddenly they get into the second round and then who knows what happens from there that this could be, this could have a major ripple effect on not just the Mavs and the playoffs but on the future of the Utah Jazz as crazy as it sounds. Yeah, big time, yeah. We will obviously wait for news on Luca and then we'll do our official series trick. A little bit later. All right, let's go to another guy who's going to have a little bit more time to get ready before he has to be concerned Stephen Curry. Steve Kerr, I read it as or not read as I heard it. Sounded like he was being a little coy to me and wasn't like, yes, I'm just going to be ready to go. Like you left in his, I don't know, I don't know what he's done since we've been on this two game road trip. Like, yeah, okay. You don't have access to a phone. Or even a fax machine to fax an update. Like, come on, of course, you have some sense of what's happened with staff in the last few days. So, but they're not saying he's good to go for game one, they're not saying he's out for game one, they're saying there'll be an update next couple of days. They open their series on..

"Rouser still with us to put a bow on our first broadcast of 2022 Let's kick off our final segment by going back to October and a really fun story from Bloomberg contributor branded presser He went behind the scenes as a worker at Disney World This was like I said he got to this I love when he goes behind the scenes Yeah I mean I'm trying to keep it PG because there's some serious stuff there that happens at Disney World Where do you want to start Chris Well actually what Brandon does So Brandon presser is a travel journalist and freelance writer who works with us and he does a series of stories where he goes undercover at luxury establishments and he works there So he'll work as a butler at the Plaza hotel He was a ski instructor in Aspen He worked on mega yachts And he's done it He was a flight attendant He's done it in a ton of different places And the company's let him do this And we set it up with the companies Okay don't do that We don't need his previous three Undercover he's written about They do And actually they do read the stories and we work with them and they know what's going on And because the stories are he works there and he finds out fun and sort of salacious and silly secret So it is sort of oriented towards finding things that you wouldn't believe about working there And in almost all of the places you find stuff that really is a testament to how tough it is to work in those places and how dedicated the people who work there I'm gonna say I'm shocked that Disney allowed him to do this Yeah I think based on the feedback afterwards from Disney they maybe didn't read all the stories before but Disney is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year And so Disney World in Orlando and they want our celebrating and a lot of different ways and they wanted to do a highlight of the staff and how hard they work And this story really highlighted how hard they work Because a lot of so the staff at Disney World are incredibly well trained from every time you see a costume character out in the park So maybe you see Ariel the mermaid or you see goofy There's somebody else standing near them watching them to make sure that nobody gets rowdy with them or ask them to do something inappropriate And they have little hand signals that they do because most of the calcium characters don't talk And then somebody will come up and sort of intervene But they never break character Even to the point where if you say oh like I heard you got a job at Disney I heard you're playing Ariel a person will say oh no I'm a friend of Ariel's All the people who are in those roles are friends of the character No one plays anybody right Right And what it does though and I found reading the article is that it kind of makes the people who are there even the adults think that they're living in some sort of fantasy world as well And they even interact with these characters These adults who are dressed as characters in ways that are kind of bizarre Yeah one of my I'm not gonna say favorite but one of the things that jumps out to me the most was that parents will occasionally be so taken in by Mary Poppins that they think oh here's a nanny I can leave my child with them And then they will leave their children and they will depart and then the married The real everybody to center for lost children in Disney World Is that a testament to how good Disney isn't creating this experience or a testament to the type of parents who are there I think it's both Honestly people get very carried away also parents are tired If you're an Epcot maybe you've been drinking so like you know you can kind of lose your head a little bit Another way people lose their head is they will sometimes hit on the costume characters and when we went into this story I thought oh God we're gonna hear all these kind of not great stories about people hitting on Cinderella And that was not the case actually The number one most hit on character at Disney is captain Jack sparrow I get that part of the Caribbean And women will go up to him and slip their hotel room key into his pocket one of his menu pockets and say keep the costume on I'll be there all night Which is wild What was the wildest thing or what was he surprised at Was there something anything that I guess he was doing it He just was like wow I didn't expect that You know there is a little bit of shenanigan That go on some of the rides where there's like dark and private areas So he was a little surprised that people get frisky in those areas and everything on Disney's on camera So if you're thinking of getting romantic on splash mountain I think again But also there's like a full circle of life So people actually will drop ashes of loved ones in the haunted mansion you're not allowed to do that You're not allowed to do that If you ever walk by it and it's shut down it's almost certainly because they're closing it because somebody tried to do that And they had to clean it Chris this is really tough work though and the people who do this work are very dedicated What did he find about what it takes to succeed in this role I mean the people that work at Disney it's not by accident They are people who love Disney More than the people who pay to go there So people very frequently when they get their Disney name tag that has their name It says you know I'm Chris from Orlando They will cry It's very meaningful to them And they are taught never to become impatient with anybody and they have to deal with you can only imagine people who get really frustrated people who are going to the bathroom in line people who ask them why didn't they build a dome over this part Because it's raining And why didn't I think of.

"But shouldn't game changing series turning to run home runs be a get on my back and follow me moment. And twice the Dodgers have recovered, have gotten those home runs and been like, let's lose. Like, it's just weird. It is weird. And look, we'll keep talking about the Red Sox. Complementing the Red Sox, the Red Sox have say what you want. Traded Mookie betts great. Guess what? They went out and they got guys who had chips on their shoulders and had personalities that that really put them over the edge and allowed them to perform in these big game situations. KK Hernandez, why did he leave the Dodgers? He wanted more playing time. He wanted a starting role. He was ready to start playing Morgan. And it was hard for the daughters to incorporate into him into their plan because of the depth that they had. And the Red Sox were like, great. We'll take a chance on a guy who wants to play who wants to know him from team PR. And then you look at you look at a guy. I know Chris sale obviously is was acquired a long time ago, but, you know, that's an ace that that's a great personality to have at the top of your rotation who's yelling who I know it's annoying to me. I hate it. But he clearly moves the needle for that team in that motivation regard. You look at Alex Quora, very outspoken guy, supports his players also, is it afraid to be honest in candid? He's the opposite of Aaron Boone. I know, I know we're mostly talking about players right now, but that also that also goes hand in hand with influencing the culture and whatnot. So I think I do think it's valid and I think the big problem a big problem with the Yankees is they're just looking at numbers. Great. Who hits home runs? Who gets on base? Who has a high spin rate? Okay, bring them in, cool. And then you have a roster of robots. I love Aaron judge, but like, Aaron judge, you didn't start saying like cool stuff until like the final week of the season. "They really can't make a mistake here. If they're not going to trade, not trading Torres is fine. If he's going to play second base, I think that kind of that brings him back to a sense of normalcy. I don't think we're going to see we're not going to see what we saw the last two years. At least I'm willing to bet that we're not going to. I think he's going to be more comfortable at full season at second base. His bat's going to start coming around. The way I think he's going to hit 38 homers, probably not. I think we're good for 25. And there's no need to trade him if they don't feel like it's all if it truly all came crashing down because you still under club control. You still making a cost effective salary for now the cost conscious Yankees and it allows them to move DG DJ le mayhew around in the infield and use him to whatever they feel is worth his $15 million is 15 million a year salary because if his bat is regressing at this point, then they're going to have to justify that money by using him on the versatile end of the defensive side of the ball. So that'll be him playing a lot of firsts, some thirds, second DJ one glaber needs days off. But yeah, and drill and Simmons certainly can not happen. That makes this lineup worse. And that's not really up for debate. I actually view these short stops in I think there's four buckets. I think you actually you put Corey Seager in his own in his own little core Seager and Simeon are kind of in the same bucket even though they're going to command different money. See you're like you said he's not going to be a shortstop. I think he's got two years left there. And I couldn't be wrong. I could be wrong. And I get it, but it is a bit of a tough sell to be like, we need to fix the shortstop position. We are going to commit big money to someone everyone knows is not a shortstop. Yeah. I understand why, but it's just a hard sentence to say. Yeah, no, it is. I agree, but if there is a realistic scenario where he can shift over and the organization is truly high on volpi or peraza or even oswaldo Guerrero, who people seem to be ignoring in the minors. I don't know why he dominated triple-A. Then that's something that's a plan that you have. Hey, great. We have these guys coming up. We'll shift seger over to third. Then we have a shortstop. I don't know. That's complicated. But is that my first choice? No, do I have a first choice? I don't really know. I'm very confused to off season. Is Trevor's story the answer? I don't know. Is Javier Baez? Probably not. Is Marcus Simeon like we said, he hasn't really played shortstop in two years. I mean, he he's played water, combined 60 games at shortstop over the last two years. Is that a guy you want taking over shorts up in the meantime? We just had a guy who hadn't played shorts up at the major leagues on a consistent basis for two and a half years. So why are we going to do that?.

They got what else did they person. So they so Larry, yeah, so lair. An all guys who were underachieving on bad teams who were historically solid baseball players that would benefit from a change of scenery and benefit from being protected in the lineup. And instead the Yankees were like, no, we're just gonna go get star players that aren't entirely essential for what we need in this operation. They sour the relationship with Luke void as a result. Joey Gallo, the worst two months of his life and now nobody really wants him here. And it was just an unneed acquisition because he doesn't make contact with his bat. We need him to play left field. That was the position he was least experience with. A lot of problems, Yankees could learn from the braves because the braves were certainly treading water at that point and they made marginal moves that they felt would fit the design of their team and fill in the gaps where they weren't as dynamic. And that's exactly what happened. And now they're leading the NLCS against the Dodgers. So figure it out, man. Is there some major Ewing theory potential with running could you junior? Is that worth asking? We're gonna take a quick break. The braves might already have blown the NLCS, but it is a good point..

"Hello faithful to pay radios the faithfulness. Minute i'm your host jamie and let's get into news head coach kosh hand and general manager. John lynch had a pre-draft press conference for the twenty twenty one. Nfl draft so. Let's get into it. Here is john lynch on the hornets draft preparation especially with dealing with covid nineteen moving forward to our draft preparation Could not be more proud of our group. Our college scouts are coaches are indeed apartment Just some numbers. I know you guys always like some numbers that we throw out You know tough year a different year. A unique year with the pandemic But in the face of that We attended one hundred seventy six games and practices despite covert and travel restrictions. This year We saw essentially every player of note. That did an opt out play. Live this fall. We took part in nearly four hundred. Zoom calls with schools made countless calls and texts together. Background information Interviewed nearly six hundred players in person by phone or by zoom. That's a collective effort of myself in kyle to scouts Two coaches doing those We covered one hundred and twenty eight separate pro days On our board. You guys always find it interesting. We have roughly one hundred and sixty draftable players. Those are grades. everybody's got their own and then finally olivia and then we can go to questions number of players. We were permitted to officially give. Physicals was reduced from roughly three hundred fifty to one fifty. That's been a challenge but again outstanding effort by trainers are doctors. They've done extensive research on over three hundred fifty players so a collective effort were prepared. We're ready Looking forward to finish our preparation and looking very forward to A great opportunity to get better For the forty niners come thursday night and with that will open it up to any questions that you guys might have also. Let's hear what. John lynch has to say about drafting a qb. So high end his overall process on drafting it. john kyle. You guys are gonna take a quarterback with the number three pick that May be a really popular choice to the fan. Base may not be a popular choice. Do you guys pay attention to the the pulse of the fans. And when you think about a rookie coming in with already a lot of pressure does that does that. Play any part in this of of added pressure that that a young quarterback could face based on the popularity of the of the fan base.

"You. I know you don't have to answer my question. I mean do you. I mean look. This is the way. I view things become a great respecter fate in my life. I set a goal in front of me to get things done for the people. I care most about which your hard work and decent american people getting really gavin stuck to them now almost. Stop him here because you think there'll be a republican party. How silly is that. How silly is that in great attempt at you know trying to act like the republican party is not going to be there but i mean that's just foolishness And then this thing about being a great respecter of fate. Well you know what. I am joe. I'm a great respecter of faith. I'm respecter of god almighty joe biden. And i'm kind of the idea that fate is an eastern religious concept that has no place in the life of a christian. And since joe you claim to be christian as a catholic and catholics or christians. As near as i know Maybe this explains why so many priests and bishops of your own religious system. The the catholic church have denounced you and said you're not really a catholic in there is you know the idea of adhering to Fate what is this is the yin yang single symbol. Joe is a. Is that where we're going with this. It's all just luck of the draw and happenstance or is it Karma you know. How does it work is it. That apparently Joe is very familiar with non-christian systems of how things work. Let him continue. I want to change the paradigm. I want to change the paradigm. We start to reward work. Not just wealth. I want to change the paradigm. If you noticed. Did you find it kind of interesting that.

"And now republic keeper with brian kelly. It's welcome back to the republican rebroadcast. And for those you who don't know. This is a listener. Slash viewers puerto broadcasting. And what that means is no big company behind it It's you and me together. I do work and You spoke to show hopefully At works pretty good. So far and What that means is any help. I need a couple of things from you to make this work. And they're not small things but they're easy their simple and The first one is. I need you to pray for me Doing a show like this is a big responsibility. it's A lot of work and I don't mind the work now. But i wanna make sure that i'm getting it right I wanna make sure that the things. I'm sharing with you or accurate and true and anyway helped me with that Just pray for me and you know also the decisions that guy needs to make in terms of moving forward with something like this and run running the business aspects The second thing is i hit that subscribe button and share it with somebody if you if you'd be so kind as to help to spread the word that means that we don't have to spend as much on promotion if if You know if you guys can help with that. And then that's the third thing is the thing needs money to run and the world needs money to run and i need money to run and so if you can help with supporting the program and supporting the broadcast. That's awesome my patriot dot com slash republic over. And at this point it all goes back into the shonan goes into my pocket The hope is that will grow to the point where this can be the only thing i do not the case yet but anyway for those you helping. It's were moving the right direction and the show is growing. So thank you so much for that. It's i pinch myself. It's an honor and a privilege. I can't believe he has Take time note to watch. I'm glad that you find value. Thank you and especially your notes are encouraging So joe biden did finally gave a press conference sixty five days in and as a loyal american. I think that we should pay attention to what our president our elected leader elected at least according to the process. I i used to think you had to get more votes. But now they've got a new deal You just have to get the right votes in the right areas. And that's what happened. But here he is and he wanted to talk to all of us and so. Let's give uncle joel. Listen is gonna be able to get through the senate mister secretary. Thank you president. Making his way to the podium. Before i take questions. I wanna make progress report to the nation on on where we stand. Sixty five days into office here on vaccinations and a few other top priorities for the american people first. Vaccinations on december eighth. I indicated that. I hope to get one hundred million shots people's arms in my first hundred days. We met that goal last week by day. Fifty eight forty two days ahead of schedule now today. I'm studying the second goal. And that is. We will buy my one hundredth day in office have administered two hundred million shots people's arms two hundred million shots in one hundred days. I am vicious twice our original goal but no other country in the world is even come. Close i don't even close to what we're doing. I believe we can do it. And today we made historic investments reaching the hardest hit and the most vulnerable communities the highest risk communities. Now did you notice the. It's so funny. Because schumer the schumer clip the gun rights clip and the and this one all three mentioned hardest hit communities always right. and it's the old. There's the old joke that says you know the the. If the new york times was reporting on on meteor headed for earth earth to be destroyed women minorities hardest hit right. I mean it's just the way you know women and minorities hardest hit and and you know Communities color hardest hit when the entire earth is destroyed. I mean it's just the way these guys do everything. And i think he said in there he was over one hundred years old hundred and twenty something like that. I'm i'm not sure. I don't know if he knows where he is He did have to check his notes to decide which reporters to call on sisters have significantly increased their projections on the economic growth. That's gonna take place this year. The now project it will exceed six percent six percent growth in gdp and just this morning we learned the number of people filing for weekly unemployment insurance fell by nearly one hundred thousand persons this the first time in a year the numbers fallen below the pre pandemic high. So there still too many americans out of work too many families hurting and it's still have a lot of work to do. I can say to you. The american people help is here and hope is on the way ray be happy. Call us take your have planned next. Zeke is associated press. So he's he's not calling on.

"Phone. Gotta make sure you're not a screaming and swearing in the telephone. And then. I don't have anybody do that for me. And so And you know be able to do that kind of on the brakes or during the the video clips and so what. I spent a little time this afternoon. Trying to make sure that the skype Thing is set up so that you can call me. And i want to try that a little bit during the show because i i want to be your show too and i want to get your reactions to some of these things and maybe even answer some questions that i'd get in the messages to So the phone number is on the screen there for those of you watching. It's eight six six nine eight eighty three eleven and trying to call during one of the video clips. Call right now. i can't answer so that's kind of one of the one of the challenges. This until i get a call screener but once one of these videos gets going. Give me a call. And we'll see if i can't Can't get you on for the The next segment. And i'm not even sure if i can do that without back i think. Maybe just try it right now. If anybody wants to call. Just try. While i'm talking one of these times then we'll just do it that way Because i think if i answered during the video the me answer the phone the wet set up now now that i think about someone have to stop that around but anyway let's get into the content here Barack obama's former campaign manager was on and basically this is This is the same. As barack obama were speaking. And who's kidding who he's still leading the party. He's still calling the shots and he's still running the show and This was supposed to be twelve years of obama. Are we got a call from lucy. Grab this and let's see if i can answer the phone and welcome to the republic deeper broadcast. Let see if you can hear me. And if i can hear you and if so First name only hi there. Hi often hear you okay first name. Only if you wouldn't your name is howdy. Tony okay. tony is the tony. I know it is okay. Hey tony welcome. And and if i remember tony area or have been a local elected official. Yes i am. Yeah that's right and we were talking before about the the importance of Of local people being involved. And i kind of reinforce it yesterday after my ride with with the mayor and i wonder I wanted to share. I'm new. I would talk and i. I wanted to hold the story until we did wanted to bounce this off you. What what. Chris was telling me is that some told me something like this sounds familiar. They got a new situation where they were. There is a small municipality. They were buying water from their neighbouring municipality and because they didn't have their own reservoir and so they raised funds to build a reservoir. Six million dollars is what it was supposed to cost. They raise the funds and they spent the money but there was no reservoir zoo to those kind of things happen. And that's absolutely yes. They absolutely do martin who was in charge of that. They end up being the corruption. Master right well. They do because cities can take out a utility bond without a vote of the people. And then there's no oversight. Our town is very small town of four thousand but it's in twenty years gone from three hundred three hundred thousand in debt to eight point. Seven million in debt in a town of less than five square miles and more than half of the community still has no city and so they took out. News woman's sold to outside the community right to municipal bond investors right and they're counting on the idea that the state county or whatever won't let them do fault in the end right that's a promissory note on the citizens you're putting that on the citizens so the citizens and in our case we'll be having a rising price of their utilities no matter what it is even if it's just just garbage bill de thirty seven years. Wow that's crazy that's crazy. Tony thank you so much for the call. And i appreciate you helping me test the line but this. This is kind of the point. I want to get in jump into this gun. Control thing here because this is this is important. This is barack obama's former campaign manager. And this reinforces again even if his gun regulations or any of these things local local local. Because if you don't stop these people who become adept at corruption locally these are the people and the people who are who are using the local corrupt funds to do payoffs and favours. Those are the people who get tapped on the shoulder. Next time they need somebody run for congress. And so it's so important that that we get those people The local people are held. Either to account either you need to run you get involved. You knew you go. to the. to the city council meetings the water department meetings et cetera Because if not you become they become this guy who's a campaign manager you know and they end up being a political operator so here. They aren't gun. Control a question about that though because the nra is really a shell of its former self. It filed for bankruptcy protection. It's under investigation. Do you really think it's still has a stranglehold on the republican party. Oh my gosh yes and if you just look at in the states and look at these members they literally parrot. The nra socking police. I agree with you. There in court. They're chief executives being accused of fraud. This oughta be. Our people are starting to walk away from them. But you've seen no evidence of that. And even republicans seventy percent. Republicans want to move forward on background checks in yet. A republican member of the united states senate is doing it..

"That presser that it was killing him to say that they weren't going to. Ah, extend that curfew. I mean, his mention was, I think about 2.5 seconds long that it had expired and they weren't going to It was then he just, you know, he jumps right in and we will have to reinstate it. If you know the numbers go back on me right away starts right in on that. I was kind of bummed. Yeah. I mean, you can't have it again. They just e think you said the best today look like it was killing him to do this. It just looked like he did not want to do that for any reason. And and I get it. He's he's been the most probably cautious. One of the most cautious, uh, governors of anybody in the country, but it's like, Hey, how about we celebrate the fact that we're we're really on its terrible 1862 Ohioans in the hospital today for with co vid But that's compared to where we were. Let's how about celebrate instead of like, okay, it's all good, but, you know, get a little kind of a don't test me. Don't test me. That's what I'm saying. Like. I just want to celebrate today. Today's a good day. Let's be happy, right? That's how I feel like my only thought on that is that he also had to deliver some serious news with the inflated number of deaths that we're now going to have. And he was going to have to address that as well. So I'm sure in in relation to those numbers, it is great news that we get to eliminate the curfew. Bars and restaurants and people can be at work and we kind of have that normalcy. But we also have this really serious topic as well. So I don't know how much that may have factored into today's pressure for him. Yeah. Could be you could be on to something there. Hey, I You tweeted something that I was cracking up and then I can totally relate to and Josh when you become if you and when you don't want to put the card in front of the horse become a homeowner, you will hopefully understand. Or this will you might be a part of this club, The Snowblower Club and I don't know if you're a shoveler, you might be when you first start out, but you will morph into a snow blower. At some point, I would imagine if you end up, you know, buying a home or getting into that at some point here in the future. Station tweeted about Bob and Kendrick and he got it. He got a new snowblower. And, um, he's excited about it. It's all he talks about just once snow and more snow so he can just get outside and clear off his sidewalks. Now he's so like last night, he was going up. We get home at midnight, all of us from our shifts. Bob told me he was gonna go home and clear off his sidewalk. He was just so excited about it at midnight. He was so excited. Well, I don't know if his neighbors would be liking that as much. But I can tell you that I was like that when I first got mine, and I still am. First of all when we got this first round of snow that we kind of have on the ground now that's been I don't know a layered over a couple of different times. Now. During snow event, I went across the street and did my neighbors. Ah, driveway and he you know what it was. I was out doing mine and his wife opens up the garage door, and he's gone for the day. His name's privacy. He he's gone for the day his wife opens up the garage door. God love her. Her mom is there with the with the little one. They just had a little one and she gets I see the door open and then all I see is her shoveling away just part of the way out so she can start to get the car out of the driveway. I said, You've got to be kidding me. So she pulls away. I said, you know what? I'm doing it. It's fun anyway. It really is. It's fun. I look at it kind of fun. I'm like, Let me snow blow the street now, you know, I mean, I'm like, I'm that guy like I just want to snow blow everything off because it's kind of fun. It really my husband is still shoveling he. My husband does not have a snow blower and he's doing all the shoveling and I was telling him Marshall's forecast about snow. Then a couple days later, more snow, and he sends me to face palm Emoji, he says. This is my life. Now, this'll this'll is just what I do. I just I'll be in the driveway shoveling for the rest of it, And it is. It's either a full independent on how much you want to put into it at least a part time job with if you're shoveling right now. My one neighbor to the right. He's got one and then the other neighbor on the other side. He's got one. So just about everybody on our street has won. But at this point, it's kind of like a race. You hear the other ones out there in the morning, and it's like, Oh, I got to get out there. I don't want to do in my driveway. I got to do my own. I don't want to e don't want him to do it. Yeah, That's funny, man, that he's uh and then I see later that you is somebody. What was it? Ah, huge school parking lot in London That could use some clearing above..
