"Good morning, Mike Groom head. Good morning, Jamie. Good to see you. You as well. Happy Tuesday? Yes. And Paul Calvi's He says this is the most productive day of the week. So we're going to see if that actually happened. Well, I'm gonna ruin that theory here for the next four hours to shoot that down hard. Great money, and I would get a mute button here a second. Would that be great? If you could mute sharp. We should do that. We should work on that year. You We should do a practice debate tomorrow morning, and you could just mute Jim, whenever you want to talk. That would be awesome when they'd be great. Yeah, Thanks, Jamie. Of course, we're going to talk to me. But that is ah, Big. Ah Big debate Topic. ABC News doing a story about the debates after what happened at the first presidential debate between President Trump and Former vice president Joe Biden, there now instituting some new rules that both camps are going along with. This is a little bit of what ABC News had to say. The commission on Presidential Debates says moderators will not have a mute button, but Mike's will be muted at times during the debate. When candidates are asked a question they'll have two minutes to answer during which the opponent's Mike will be off. The commission says that Mike's will not be muted during follow up debate. However, President Trump's campaign said despite the change, the president is committed to debating, but it accused the commission of favoring Biden. Why? I just wonder again. Their concerns are about some of the debate moderators their past. But in the end, if you have a strong point, you're able to make your point. And I think that the president United States made his case to the American people well enough in 2016. I just I'm not the people that are saying this is a done deal. The people doing a victory lap on either side. Really shouldn't just yet again. You want to make sure you're fighting until the finish. This is still the pre game. There are people that are voting now That's why you are seeing the campaign hit. The trail is hardest. President Trump is these are the days where Trump won this election in 2016, in my opinion, all the nonsense from the Hillary Clinton camp, saying that the Russians stole the election was just her being lazy. There were a lot of people on both sides of the aisle, You know, because there are a lot of people that are friends across the aisle had been telling Hillary she better get to work that she needed to keep working hard. Think about those last days. Donald Trump was in all of those swing districts, and there's a statistic. That people should understand how close that election was. But where Donald Trump made a very strategic decision that paid off for him in the Midwest or what they called the Rust Belt and a lot of those swing states. Donald Trump targeted a bunch of district's. There were 200 districts a little over 205, I think, is the number of congressional districts in swing states that both both times voted for Barack Obama that flipped and voted for Donald Trump. Those were the district's that gave him that narrow victory. In a lot of those swing states, the promise of lowering taxes and regulation to bring jobs back resonated with working class Americans, And it was a big contrast to the voice of Hillary Clinton that was saying they were going to shoot. They're going to get rid of the fossil fuel industry. They were gonna get rid of colon oil. It was going away. They guaranteed it, and they said people are going to re train for new jobs. And I think that was the difference maker between her winning and him winning all of the other stuff, all of that other stuff. Is just basically noise in the background, and it's all for nothing right now. I mean, it doesn't matter anymore. But Donald Trump is working as hard now, as he did then, before we go any further with this, Let's get it over to Taylor Kinney up. She's got breaking news. TA.

I have to walk my dog every day and I you know when I'm walking sometimes what's going on in the world right now is so horrible that I've started saying to myself. You know what? I'M GONNA I'm GONNA consciously reminisce. So that I'm not thinking about current times and so yesterday I was doing this I was walking down the stairs reminiscing about this wonderful time I thought I had experienced with my son one time. We were in Virginia together and we went to a place called Lake An and we rented a boat. And usually it takes me forever to get in the water anywhere. Because it's always so damn. But this water was so comfortable like I jumped in and out a bunch of times it wasn't hard to get in at all and he wouldn't come in the water, but but I could talk to him on the boat while I swim around because it was so quiet anybody was in there and and it was one of the most lovely experiences. And I and I remember at one point we had we had been in the water we got over in this grassy area and some sort of official came out like some government guy came out and said, you have to move away from here and so we did well. So later, I was telling somebody about this experience and it turns out that is a man made lake. Over at a nuclear power plant. Oh and yeah and. So it wasn't really the wonderful time that I thought it was reason the water was warm. was had something to do with that nuclear power plant and now. My allergies are much better but my. Like I said to my middle daughter one time I said you know wasn't a great when we drove to like I'd Aho or whatever it was and she said, I, always hated long car rides. And I'm like. Harris on taking a COVID-19 vaccine: 'If Trump tells us to take it, I won't'
"If the doctors tell us that we should take it, I'll be the first in line to take it absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us I should take that we should take it. I'm not taking it. WanNa. Talk about that exact moment in tonight's debate with one of the experts we turn to often doctor Irwin redlener is with US tonight pediatrics physician senior research scholar at Columbia. University's Earth Institute also happens to be the founding director of Colombia's National Center for Disaster Preparedness and Doc. It's just anecdotal but I swear she spoke for a lot of Americans tonight who don't WanNa see vaccine rushed to market for political reasons to match a date on the calendar twenty six days from now. We're fighting a growing anti vaccine movement in this country aided and abetted by the Russians on social media. It's a dicey time to get the public behind anything in a politicized pandemic. Is there reason to what she said tonight that people should doubt something pushed by the President and wait for something? That's maybe Endorsed by Dr, Fauci. Well Bryan that you're. You're absolutely right and I think the absolutely and the words that were spoken by Senator Harris were absolutely shared by undoubtedly many many Americans you know. Be. Committing twenty thousand public lies or allies over the last few years and expect people to believe you. This is a classic. You know the boy who cried wolf situation and I don't remember any time at least in my life where a President United States of either party was so dishonest and so disbelieved that somebody a US senator say. I'm not going to even begin to believe the President United States I'm going to wait for the scientists to tell me what I should be doing. So this is this is a particularly poignant moment in presidential messaging and how much it's going to matter who is giving the message Brian. Let's talk about the president of the United States and to keep you from having to say it I, know he is not your patient nor have you examined him but we know something about the meds. He is on he said tonight that he chose the medical discipline that was his own treatment. He said tonight's he's going to find a way to get his treatment for free to those who need it probably physically implausible Do you believe that the meds he's on have a way of suppressing actual illness things like temperature and changing behavior Yes Brandon. These are experimental meds and an experimental regiment that he's on. It's preposterous to think thin. The general public are a few people in the general public would be able to get the kind of care and demand the kind of care that the president did. So that's completely out of the question why he felt it necessary to say that I don't know but it's it's absolutely out of the question Brian it the other things so much about this whole story over the last week or so. That's that's really shaking has I had I can't tell you how many phone calls after many doctors without examining the president watched him climb up the stairs after getting out of the helicopter and going up to the balcony of the white. House and he got to the top of the SEPTA? He was gasping for breath he looked terrible I was inundated with calls and we all were sort of talking about this. So we don't know we don't understand and we don't believe that it's actually head-spinning here but. To say that anybody is going to be able to get what he got is out of the question nor should people nor should people get exactly what he? We don't know these are experimental drugs Brian.

Tax bombshell reveals Trump's image is a sham
"In federal income tax is the year he ran for office and paid zero income taxes at all in many other years. Threatened to undercut his campaign. But the allegations go to the very heart of Mr Trump's appeal, especially among blue collar voters in states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin in Michigan, who propelled him to the presidency in 2016. Joining us now is a B C's, Adam, Kelsey and first off How did Mr Trump get away with not paying his taxes? Well, Jeff what it comes down to is ah lot of reductions in the amount of taxable income that President Trump has because he takes so many loans because of so many investments in companies that that Are not necessarily under his name. He can write off. Ah, lot of the income that ends up coming back into him. So what you've got here is 10 out of the past 15 years for which The New York Times had these tax records from 2017 going all the way back to 2000 to 10 of those 15 years, President Trump As you mentioned did not pay federal income taxes. There was ah, year or two in which he did pay tens of millions of dollars in taxes to the IRS actually returned that to trump upwards of $70 million in a refund that he claimed he was due again, based on some risky investments that he made the the IRS rules and regulations allow into claim those as Boston coming. Those were returned. So now that $70 million is the subject of an audit, there's a debate between the president. Oh, and his own federal government over how much you may have to pay back. But the bigger picture that you were mentioning is that this really strikes at the heart of what's so many Trump supporters liked about him that he was a successful businessman, a self proclaimed billionaire and looking through these financial records, it would. Actually it paints the picture of somebody who, instead of being worth billions of dollars could oh, upwards of billions of dollars to several different Ah, loners of money. You've got hundreds of millions of dollars and Loans for buildings that President Trump owns in New York City and across the country that are going to be coming due in the next couple of years. It's raising some questions today about whether or not it's such a good idea to have a president United States it would be on the hook for such a big deal coming up. Is anything in the president's tax is illegal. What did we find any legal wrongdoing? There was all hit all his deductions and everything he did above board. Ah, lot of it is above board. And that's that's one of the major criticism that's being levied today Is that the same Ah senators, congressmen who are criticizing President Trump for pains so little were in some ways the architects of the affluent tax loopholes that he and his accounts were able to take. But there are some questions about some of the moves. He's made one in particular, that's been getting a lot of traction and social media for the past 24 hours. His payments that President Trump me do his daughter Ivanka. She's obviously an employee of the Trump administration. She was receiving a regular salary, but in addition was receiving money for consulting work that President Trump then turned around and tried to take off his taxes basically as a refund, So there's some questions there. About whether you know that this double dipping is potentially fraudulent, and whether either Ivanka Trump shouldn't have been receiving those consulting fees or of President Trump shouldn't have been writing those off tax. How is the president defended his actions. All the kneejerk reaction yesterday was that this was fake news to which critics of the president said. Well, if this isn't true, if these aren't your tax returns, all you need to do is turn over your realtor tax returns and proved that the New York Times is wrong on this. Obviously, the president hasn't done this and then The resulting hours we've seen, you know a lot of deflection. We've seen the president and his Children going on television and talking instead about Joe Biden and his son, Hunter and Hunter Biden dealings with With Russia and with businesses in the Ukraine so instead of kind of head on addressing these issues, trying to distract the media if you will to talk about different matters instead. But I wouldn't anticipate that with the first presidential debate coming up about 24 hours from now, Tuesday evening, we're certainly gonna cure President Trump have to answer for this situation. All right. That's a B, C's and Kelsey. Thank you so much for joining us. Come on
Trump Again Scorns Science on Masks and Vaccines
"Out front tonight the breaking news president trump taking on his CDC director calling him confused and mistaken to issue central to stopping the spread of the virus masks and vaccines. Let's start with this trump. After Dr Robert Redfield head of the CDC said it would be up to eight year before a vaccine is available to the general public. I think he made a mistake when he said that it's just incorrect information. And I called him. And he didn't tell me that and I, think you've got the message maybe confused I saw the statement I called him I said, what did you mean by that? And I think he just made a mistake. To Call, you said that you told him that he made mistakes. What was his response? I said what happened and I got the impression that he didn't realize he said what he might have said I didn't see him say. Okay. Well, let's let you hear him say at here is Dr Redfield today under oath. I think there will be. Vaccine that initially be available sometime between November and December but very limited supply and we'll have to be prioritized if you're asking me, when is it going to be generally available to the American? Public? So we can begin to take advantage of vaccine to get back to our regular life I think we're probably looking at third. Late? Second Quarter? Third Quarter Twenty twenty. One Okay. That is sobering. Late second quarter third quarter. That's the end of the summer of the fall of next year is a year away and it is long after Election Day twenty twenty. That was his honest clear scientific assessment president didn't like it, and then the present continued to suggest that Dr Redfield got it wrong today when he said this. We have clear scientific evidence they work. And they are best defense. I might even go so far as to say that this facemask is more guaranteed to protect me against Ovid. Then when I take a co- vaccine. The irony that the President United States he keeps saying he wants vaccine by Election Day to help him actually has one in his hands and refuses to have his own supporters where I'm at his rallies. That is pretty incredible. But here's the president again publicly rebuking his CDC director. I called him about that. Those were the two things I discussed with him and I believe that if you ask him, he would. Probably. Say that he didn't understand the question because I said to my in the questions, the one question which we covered in the mass. When I called up. Robert Today I said to him what's with the mask? I think I answered that question incorrectly I think maybe misunderstood. That's absurd that he didn't misunderstand and it was very clear. What he said wasn't confused and by the way it's not just that he said it today right held it up and said that about the vaccines and that it's the most effective thing we have he's actually repeatedly said the same thing, the mass work it's not even the first time that he is compared their effectiveness to that of vaccines here he is in July so. We're not powerless. We don't have to wait for a vaccine although I think we're going to be successful. Sooner. Than many people think we have the most powerful weapon. And our hands right now I mean it's it's an enormously powerful weapon. It's just a simple. Flimsy Mask. Consistency well, the president's words are not things. The CDC director can ignore tonight right and just hope they go away. They are a direct assault on him and they are a direct assault on the widely proven science. Trump's HHS spokesperson. Michael Caputo is actually now in a leave of absence for the kind of talk that the president put out there. So cavalierly today trump though of course isn't going anywhere. It's not a little guy down the totem pole caputo and tonight the CDC director has been forced. To respond releasing a statement moments ago, saying quote I one hundred percent believe in the importance of vaccines and the importance in particular of Covid nineteen vaccine. A covid nineteen vaccine is the thing that will get Americans back to normal everyday life. The best defense we currently have against this virus, the important mitigation effects of wearing a mask, washing your hands, social distancing, and being careful about

Kurt Andersen on Evil Geniuses
"Kurt Anderson joins us. Now he has a new book out. It's called evil geniuses the unmaking of America a recent history. Kurt thanks for being here. Thanks for having me. All right. So your previous spoke to this was fantasy land and I feel like there's a connection where did you leave off in that book and pick up in your new book? There's definitely a connection and they really amount to kind of a two volume history of the screwing up of America the last half century. Fantasyland was about how this chronic condition in America of the weakness for the irrational and magical thinking in entertaining lies. Turned into this acute illness after having been a centuries long chronic illness, the last fifty years, and thus the President United States as the poster boy for that. This is a different story. This is not a spontaneous organic. Problem that I'm talking about here. About the Paradigm. Shift and hijacking of our political economy that happened starting fifty years ago by who what the people I call. Evil Jesus, it's this very rational, very specific, very strategic, long war that had the effect in a hundred different ways of making the majority of Americans worse off. So if fantasy land talked about America has propensity to believe in nonsensical illogical things. It sounds like evil genius is this kind of why the efforts that were made on the part of institutions and individuals that have led to that kind of thinking. No actually not that led to that kind of thinking that. It's a wholly different thing. What would i. have having a Neo Liberal Clinton Centrist Democrat all of my adult life partners may culpa for simply being. Oblivious to what the economic right was doing. So these. Are People of the economic rights. The coax are the most obvious buzzword way of saying that and how they manipulated and used and changed through all of these different means the way we thought society. The economy should be since the new deal they used the fantasies and delusions and. All that of their political allies on the right to enable their real project, which is to make Americans think the government has no role in anything involving the free market when you are working on fantasy land, did you know that you were going to be writing the second kind of companion book? I really didn't know that it was late in the game working were. I realized wait I am kind of telling half the story here. There is this other story that isn't about look at Wacky America. We've always been wacky for four hundred years and believed all kinds of nonsense but I realized that there was this other story about how the economy changed in how politics changed and what technology is doing. That is the other half and it. Really came when I was out talking about fantasy land with people readers, whatever I remember early on a woman rating stood up and said, well, what about climate change? Yes. It's a matter of nonsensical disregarding science in the facts, but it's it's all about people like the Koch Brothers shifting the way people thought in denying science and I said yeah but it wouldn't have happened. To the extent has the United States without this underlying iffy grip on empirical reality. But I realized that it was both of those things you know people all over the world had if he grips on honeybear curiosity but they don't have this massive politicized denial of climate change. For instance, it's the to in concert in so many ways that has led us where we are. Okay I have to time related questions the first about the writing of the book and the second about the time that you cover in the book, and I'm getting very specific about the timing of the writing the book because as you know, things are moving so fast that the second you think that something is the big story. Something else becomes the big story and these are both kind of Sixteen Post Twenty Sixteen Bucks where did you do pick up in writing this book and also when did you stop because you know it probably I'm assuming this was a pre black lives matter but maybe post covid book or am I getting that First of all fantasyland I wrote and finished before Donald Trump was even nominated. So it wasn't like Oh look Donald Trump I'll reverse engineer how that happened over several Hundred Years This I delivered it early February, but then bless random house had the next several months to incorporate, which is a significant INC because it reflects. So much of what I'm talking about the pandemic and the. Horrific. US government trump administration response to the pandemic, which illustrates most of my major themes in this book. So I the whole last chapter is about that and indeed the the black lives matter protest also is in here as well to the degree that relates to what I'm talking about this. This is a book less about race than it is about economics and technology, but it certainly all of the peace and I dress both the pandemic thoroughly,
How the Biden-Harris ticket will impact the 2020 race
"Joe Biden's choice of Camilla Harris as his running mate is being met with excitement and hope from many women in and around Sacramento. KP CASE Joe Michaels joins us Live in studio with more Oh Bill Bynes decision to add California's junior senator to the 2020 Democratic ticket brings a smile to the face of the only woman currently sitting on Sacramento City Council Councilwoman Anjali Gash be calling the choice, exciting seeing yourself reflected in leaders. Is just so empowering, not just for young people, but for all people. Women have never seen themselves in the Oval Office. In the White House. Never so to see a woman actually get to vice president of the United States of America would tell women and girls everywhere that it is possible and it is possible in our lifetime. Kendra Montgomery Block of the Sierra Health Foundation, is pleased to finally see an African American woman chosen as the running mate of a major party's presidential candidate as a black woman, how we are constantly looked upon as the backbone of the entire country, and in doing so So making sure that you have not only just a seat at the table, but a voice at the table means a lot in our democracy, and Camilla represents that voice, not only for us before the people Montgomery Clark believes Harris will also serve as a rule model for young African American girls. You always want to be able to look at folks and say, Hey, that's a path that I could take two And now that's incredibly connected to black women, Indian women and two women of color that we can take this path that we can build strong families, built strong education connections and then be able to take on top leadership role in this country. Councilwoman Ashby says Harris is well prepared for the opportunity. This isn't choosing a woman for the sake of choosing a woman. He was a candidate for the presidency herself. She's been the senator for California. She's been attorney general. She's been a D E A. There's no doubt that she's qualified to do this job. Ashby understands the possibility that Harris could be polarizing and doesn't out W naysayers were choosing the next president and vice president, United States of America. We get to look at them through a critical leads, but we need to look at them through balanced lenses, and that is what the people of this country are asking for. So many ways through protests through support of candidates. The things that you're hearing is a nation that just wants equity in its decision making. They want to see women and men have equal opportunity they want to see people of every race have equal opportunity. When you look at American history, it's been a long time in coming. From the women's suffrage movement that ultimately gave women the right to vote 100 years ago this month of the civil rights movement aimed at ending racial discrimination to 2020 when an African American woman now stands as the running mate of a major party's presidential candidate,
Pelosi: Trump speech plan latest effort to 'degrade' the White House
"Speaker Nancy Pelosi is blasting President Trump for floating the idea of using the White House to accept the Republican presidential nomination later this month. Speaking on MSNBC today, Pelosi said the president has no right to even suggest it for the president, United States to degrade once again the White House as he has done over and over again. By saying he's going to completely politicize. It is something that should be rejected right out of hand. The Trump campaign had planned to hold the Republican National Convention in Florida and North Carolina by canceled amid a surgeon New Corona virus cases. The Washington Post reported yesterday that Republican officials were considering using the White House South Lawn to stage trumps acceptance speech.
Progress slow as urgency grows on virus relief legislation
"Saw potential step forward in the congressional negotiations for another corona virus relief package after weeks of Resistance Senate. Majority leader Mitch McConnell said he will support an extension of the now lapsed six hundred dollar federal unemployment insurance relief every week that is if president trump backs it. The American people in the end need help. And wherever this thing settled. Between the President United States and his team, it have to sign it into law. And the Democrat. Not Significant minority in the Senate and majority in the House. Is something I'm prepared to support even if I have some problems. With. Certain parts of it. So, Jake Sherman, you cover Mitch McConnell you know him very well that's as close as you'll get to seeing. Mitch. McConnell concede there where he effectively said, okay, I know this bill's been sitting on my desk for three months. I've got some problems with the Democrat bill from the house, but I may be willing to budge on that six hundred dollar weekly payment. The original counteroffer from Republicans as you know had been two hundred dollars a week. So if he concedes on that point, get six, hundred dollars a week of unemployment benefits to people who need it. So desperately right now does that mean we're going to get deal here. Will I think Willie? We're going to get a deal at some point in the next week. It looks not promising, but it looks possible. Here's the catch Mitch McConnell's not a part of these negotiations right now also for the first time in a long time, we could kind of say that Mitch McConnell's view here is a little bit tangential to the overall negotiations. Now Mark Meadows and Steven Mnuchin who have been in the negotiations have offered four hundred dollars a week until December fifteenth, which also by the way is a very big concession for the GOP people. We actually in playbook this morning give a blow by blow full with good chock full of quotes from inside of the negotiating room. During a two and a half hour meeting yesterday in the capital illustrating that there are a lot of issues that remain open to get corona virus for leads to American people just to give a sense about how far we kind of our from virus package, they are bringing in the postmaster general today to talk to the negotiating team about the needs of the US Postal Service because there is such a divide on how much the post office might need to complete its operations. So again, these negotiations are very fraught they're complicated and they're dragging on almost two weeks in I. Think we'll have another week at least before this bill is passing both sides want to get a deal before Friday. Jonathan Does Jake says Mitch McConnell's not involved particularly here. Specifically, neither is the President United States. He's taken a hands off approach to the entire negotiation sending US chief of staff. Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin into do the negotiating here. How badly does the White House needed deal? Does the president recognized that more than thirty million people just lost that six hundred dollar week check that's allowing them to survive for the last several months urgency from the White House on this. There is really the president in the last twenty, four hours or so has insisted he is playing a role in these negotiations, but we know that is largely not the case that he has need. Deferred it to his chief of staff and Treasury Secretary and Jake don't certainly don't extra job outlining how these negotiations have gone. But yes, there was a keen awareness that this is a president who's facing voters in under three months and that Americans are hurting right now and then beyond just wanting to have a helping hand to those who have suffered so much during this pandemic of course, there's an towards his reelection chances here, and if unemployment numbers can you to go with the economic slowdown, economic recovery slows down that only hurts his chances. They are trying to push here. The they understand that they're in a bad spot have not gone well, the each day that it drags on is a bad day for this president who again is trying. So desperately to pointed idea of a recovery economic recovery as opposed to how he has handled her barracks better said handled the coronavirus pandemic to this point.
Democrats and Republicans remain divided on enhanced unemployment benefits
"In Washington, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin telling Senate Republicans that negotiations are no closer to a Corona virus relief deal than they were last week. He's putting the blame on congressional Democrats Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer. They're leading the talks last Friday. Of course, that's $600 a week federal enhancement to state unemployment benefits it expired. Other Republicans emerging from today's briefing with the Treasury secretary and White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, saying it appears the bipartisan negotiations are now at a stalemate. CBS NEWS Congressional correspondent Nancy Court is with this question to Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell. In a variety of proposals. But at this point what do you believe the consensus Senate Republican view is on how large the federal unemployment insurance benefits should be per week and how long it should last. Well, I think I've made it very clear for some time. Now. If you're looking for total consensus among Republican senators, you're not going to find it, so we do have divisions about what to do. What we're hoping for. Here is a bipartisan proposal negotiated by the president of the stage and his team who can sign a bill into law and Democratic majority in the House that can appeal to a significant percentage of Republicans in the House and Senate. That's where we are on the unemployment issue. We all know it needs to be solved. We don't want the exploration to continue what we've suggested that Short term fixes. Others have indicated they've objected to that a better outcome would be to get to a total solution sooner rather than later. And that's what I am encouraging everyone to do on both sides. Part of the challenge with this negotiation that Negotiators know what the Democratic negotiating position is, but it's unclear what the Republican position is. It's no, that's not a big challenge at all. I'm not anticipating 100 nothing vote in the Senate. This time. I said that in the very beginning, I said it when we laid down our trillion dollar heels. I don't think we're gonna have A total consensus in this round. The atmosphere is much more partisan than it was back in March and April that much closer to the election. So I don't think the definition of success here is whether we have a unanimous vote. I think the definition successes is the product. Something that will actually make a difference. And yet part of the problem is we hear from other Senate Republicans, including Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Rand Paul of Kentucky, saying that they do not support the price tag for the Koven 19 2nd round of relief package is more from today's briefing with reporters, NBC's Casey Hunt and Senator Mitch McConnell. Nancy Pelosi, that House speaker seems to have suggested that $600 per week for federal benefits is for red Line. Do you think a bill with that amount of money for unemployment could pass the Senate if the president were to say he wants that, too? I think I'm pretty safe to say that there are plenty of Republicans in the Senate who may not vote for a package if that's where it ends up, But we know this is going to be a negotiated settlement. I just said it's not going Produce a Kumbaya moment like we had in March or April where everybody voted. Aye, but the American people in the end I need help. And wherever this thing settles between President United States and his team have to sign it into law and the Democrat not insignificant minority in the Senate and majority in the house is something I'm prepared to support even if I have some problems. With certain
Seattle Mayor Believes Federal Deployments Are Part Of A Darker Political Goal
"Kinds of tensions in Seattle. Clashes between protesters and police turned violent last weekend, but Seattle's Democratic mayor, Jenny Durkin, told the Department of Homeland Security she did not want federal agents sent into her city. She later discovered a force was deployed and put on standby. Now they have left. Mayor Durkin spoke with our co host, Rachel Martin, about why she and other mayors feel these federal deployments. Part of a bigger, darker political goal. We have, like any other city. We have public safety challenges. But our public safety challenges have been made significantly worse by this president's actions in his words, the dinner in level of criminal activity. We're really deteriorated after the president started tweeting about it, and it was a subject to have Fox coverage every night. So we have seen and I've talked to mayors across the country the same thing when the president actually tweets, and it's not my words saying he's targeting death City is run by Democrats. He's openly admitted it and tweeted about it. Um And I think that that is really a chilling prospect of a president. United States, which is federal resource is for political purposes. The Department of Justice has said that there is an expansion happening right that all of this the deployment of federal agents to a variety of cities Now we're seeing Chicago Albuquerque, Kansas City now Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland. This is all part of so called Operation legend that this has to do with gun violence, quelling gun violence in these cities helping solve murders. This's the DOJ zone characteristic of what this operation is about. I guess I'm hoping you can clarify for me. Is this operation legend something that's happening? Adjacent, separate from from the agents that had been deployed to Portland. And for a couple of days, at least this standby force to Seattle. I actually think they're using it as camouflage. There are ongoing task force in major cities, the deal with gun violence and with gang violence and other violent crime. We had him in Seattle and I worked on him is U. S attorney I know I've spoken with the mayor of Chicago and Albuquerque, and they have a strong collaborative approach with federal law enforcement. It is very rare. If it all federal law enforcement will surge agents to a city to deal with public safety threats that are normally handled by city or state officials. Without talking to or working with local officials. You have described what President Trump is doing as being a political ploy to play his own base ahead of the election into some kind of law and order message. As as a former U. S attorney for the Western District of Washington is anything he's doing or the federal government at his behest illegal. I think it could be unconstitutional. Under the 11th Amendment. Remember, public safety is generally reserved to the states and to their cities, a subdivision of the states by our Constitution. There's also restrictions on the powers that federal law enforcement have and what they can enforce. They generally cannot room the streets of a city in enforce city or state law. But the other thing I will say, though it is unprecedented for federal authorities to take this level of approach for local jurisdictions in cities and Serge Federal resource is in them to take over public safety duties like arresting people. Police protesters. And I've said it before. I know some people think it's it sounds overdramatic, but to me, it looks like a dry run for martial law. And if we see these kinds of federal agents put into places where there's voting right concerns I'm very concerned about what it could do to suppress the vote in America. Say more about that. You're worried that in places where there might be concerns about whether or not people get access to the polls, right? I mean, if you look at it now, the places that that they're sending these Federal agents are primarily in places where there are significant protests against police violence and for racial equity. And it doesn't take much of a lead to also used those agents to say You're protecting the poles but have federal agents in and around polling places, too. Spite against fraud when really a suppression? I think we need a very clear commitment in advance of the election that general law enforcement are not going to be used as some kind of super police. In key battleground states in around you places. You've been talking with different mayor's around the country. Your counterparts in different states. Is that the kind of thing that has come up in conversation with them it has come up. I will tell you were focused day to day on dealing with the crisis in our city. But this kind of action when we feel happening in so many cities across your country, it gives all of us a grave concern is where it is. Jenny Durkan is the mayor of Seattle. We appreciate your time. Thank you for having me
Tech's four biggest companies are going on trial
"Important tech hearings up on Capitol Hill, where the CEOs the four largest tech companies are due to appear before Ah House Judiciary subcommittee on Anna trusted to answer questions about whether they have become and a competitive and won't return. Now to Emily Chang. She is anchor of Bloomberg Tech. We were rudely interrupted before I'm delighted you could be back with us, Emily So let's talk about this. We're talking about the four cos they're all big. They're all tech, but they're actually quite different company. One from the other. How can there be a through line from this investigation on these four different companies? Absolutely, And that's a very good point, David, Each of these CEOs of each of these four companies could have their own multi day hearing. The issues are very different with Facebook. It's misinformation and advertising with Google is advertising and search, which, with Apple, it is The APP store with Amazon. It is how these companies treat third party sellers. Jeff Bezos is somebody that we're really going to be watching here, the CEO of Amazon and also the richest person in the world because he's never testified before Congress before, and there are a lot of people who want to hear what he has to say in his prepared remarks, which were also a little bit different. From the rest. He talked about how his parents invested in Amazon in the early days. A typical and true American success story. He's also the owner of The Washington Post says that that could bring out a little more idolatry from the lawmakers. We don't know, but it's definitely going to be interesting to see how these lawmakers throughout their questions because they could basically ask anyone Anything at any time. So there's a chance that this could be all over the map, especially given that this is a virtual hearing. You're gonna have some of the lawmakers in the room. The hearing has been delayed because they're basically cleaning up from the last hearing. You've got staffers inside now washing it down. But all of the CEOs will be calling in virtually So your comments suggest there is another person not in the room who may be quite important that is Donald J. Trump the president, United States He's not been shy in his criticism of some of these tech companies at all. What is the potential influence of the president here? Absolutely. And David we actually just in the last half hour, So got another tweet from the president focused on Big tech, the president tweeting. If Congress doesn't bring fairness to Big Tech, which they should have done years ago, I will do it myself with executive orders in Washington. It has been all talk and no action for years and the people of our country are sick. And tired of it. Of course, the president tweets themselves have been the subject of much controversy, especially how Facebook in particular has handled his tweets. The one about looters and shooters threatening violence on the American people threatening violence on protesters in Washington, D. C. Facebook has made the decision to let those posts stand unflagging not behind. A warning of any kind, and that has kicked off. Ah lot of controversy. Facebook is in the middle of an ad boycott. Right now, you've got massive advertisers who have pulled their advertising from Facebook for the month of July and some for the foreseeable future. So you can expect Facebook to be the subject and Mark Zuckerberg in particular, probably of the most iron from these lawmakers. Lots of concern. About anti conservative bias on the right and also concerns from Democrats as well. You've seen Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate, also taking aim at Facebook, and in fact, President Trump has already used his executive powers to sign an executive order asking The FCC to take a look at old laws that give companies like Facebook and Google and Twitter protection from liability over the content that those users users post so we could expect that to be a really hot button issue today. Well, it's a fascinating point. This is Washington where the rules as we both know are different, but this is the antitrust subcommittee, the House Judiciary Committee. Theoretically, they're supposed to do with competition issues. Not the substance of speech. And yet I wonder whether it would be a fair amount of questions that have nothing to do with that. I trust her competition at all it has to do with political bias. Absolutely. And look, I've talked to all of the company's going into this. They're expecting questions to be all over the map. It is not all going to fall under the antitrust umbrella, and we know that at some of these lawmakers, we're gonna have sort of personal bones to pick with these companies whether or not one of their posts personally was flagged. Or not, And it's been interesting hearing from the critics as well. You've got CEOs of other big tech companies like the CEO of Spotify, the CEO of Epic games and maker of Fortnight. I've spoken to these folks in the last couple of weeks in the last couple of months, and they've been speaking out about thes companies saying that Apple, for example. Is American, Apple and Google are a duopoly. You've heard a lot of criticism going into this about how these companies run their businesses, and that's what these lawmakers have been hearing now on. The other side of these four companies have massive lobbying operations that they've turned over. One source told me voluminous amounts of documents, millions and millions of pages. Stating their case stating their side to make sure that these lawmakers are informed and we should hope that these lawmakers are going into this with with some level of the right information you know in the past. When Mark Zuckerberg, for example, testified before Congress for the first time, some lawmakers didn't understand how Facebook's business model actually worked. So we'll be watching to see whether or not these lawmakers actually understand the businesses and the points That they want to make. It was a famous exchange. How do you make your money If you don't charge for, he said, Well, we sell advertising Senator. That was quite an exchange. Emily. Thank you so very much Want to treat you have you with us? That's Bloomberg technology anchor Emily Chang, and we're going to bring you the hearing when it finally gets underway on Capitol Hill. Meanwhile,
Charlie Kirk: Coronavirus stimulus
"And you have Schumer Pelosi. In Biden one hundred twenty five years, Charlie Kirk of failure, unmitigated failure, swap failure and I. Think of my kids. You met my son. He's twenty one years old. My daughter's eighteen and I would think about your America their America and when I say you know, live free or die, American, the world on the brink I'm not joking. And very specifically will be probably the biggest choice election by far in my lifetime, and maybe since eighteen sixty, and there's a lot at stake We can go through the issues if you want, but it's. It's there's there's not one issue we agree on that. I can think of for the most part yet, and you wrote this, and it just really sent chills down my spine. You wrote this book to sound an alarm as a warning. Warning to my fellow patriots about the left's undying commitment turn America into a land, our parents, founders and framers wouldn't recognize it. It's perfectly put, and that's the direction that they're headed on page twenty seven. You have a great part about how Ben Franklin says we ever republic. If you can keep it, can you talk more about how this truly is? A referendum election in some sense and the left is trying to do to our country. Well the the story about Franklin's interesting, because it's, it's the constitutional convention and somebody says he comes out one days, says, is it a monarchy republic republic? If you can keep it Reagan, I quote him off. When I give speeches, said Freedom Charlie and you know this is but one generation away from extinction. And you know when if you want understand if socialism is adopted if their stated goal is adopted America as we know, it then becomes unrecognizable look, I can understand psychologically. There's a component of maybe people that that have been indoctrinated in schools, and you're great at this because you're going in to hostile environments every day, and you're saying you know what there's another way of thinking here, so maybe the idea that people think Charlie that some things are oh, everything's going to be free and they're gonNA forgive my loans at I'll have a guaranteed government job guaranteed government food. How did obamacare workout now? We're GONNA have Medicare for all or or double down on the stupidity of Obamacare and guaranteed retirement. Guaranteed vacation sounds great. But simple math shows you that you'll never get there. And that's why in the Fourth Chapter of the book did this whole history of socialism which is a history of failure? The point is look at the issues. If if we're talking about law and order. They've cited in Portland in Seattle and new. York and Chicago with the radicals. Joe Biden his yet that I know of said one good thing about the ninety nine percent of cops protect and serve and put their lives on the line for us every day. You're right. Okay, so law and order taxes. He's pledging to raise your taxes through the roof. That will destroy the economy Then they're gonNA just add all the bureaucracy. The Donald Trump spent almost four years. Eliminating that'll be gone. That means nobody's GONNA WANNA DO Business. That's why the Biden Obama economy was so bad. Then you look at where now energy independent for the first time in seventy five years with a number, one producer of energy in the world will lose that for sure We'll shut down coal fracking. Oil Gas exploration production those tens of millions of jobs high paying jobs career jobs for people. Then it's about amnesty. Or the United Sanctuary states of America versus Border Security and law and order of never mind foreign policy. We haven't even touched that part yet, so. There's a lot at stake. If those plans stated plans are implemented. America will go down the past you know. The Trash bin of history as Reagan, said Freedom One generation away from extinction we will. It I shudder to think what will happen the three you and your children by kids, and and maybe one day grandkids. ARE READY FOR THAT And I love the framing, because as the founder said either we're GonNa live free and defendant right now, or we're gonNA. Have a country that you know. We don't WanNa live it, and that's really the framing. That is so important right now, and you talk about and I'm really pleased about this. Shawn because I think we have forgotten about the Russia hoax too quickly in. In the conservative movement, you have been the leader on this every night. You were covering it. You didn't let us forget you help. Muller Accountable, you had investigative journalism and it just seemed that an Oxana names, but other conservatives just kind of drifted away from like Oh. That's what happened happened. You have two chapters on this in the book. Can you talk about that? Yeah I mean I call it Charlie, the the biggest corruption abuse of power scandal in history and the Ukraine was oh. Okay, we failed with Muller after three years. We won't. We won't even bother with a special prosecutor not to I'm going backwards here but to get to Ukraine. You? Know they're talking about quid pro quos, but you have to ignore their presidential candidate on video saying you're not getting a billion US tax payer dollars unless you're fire. That prosecutor is named Shokhin. WHO's investigating my son Hunter who went on a and said? Do you have any experience in oil? No Gas, no energy, nope, any experience in Ukraine. Nope, why are you being paid millions? No, because you dad, so there was a quid pro quo and millions of dollars for the Biden I call crime family. That's exactly right, so. Listen and China's even worse. You get to this whole thing what we now know and I believe what's coming. It's like, and this is where the media's corrupt because. They're just the propaganda wing of all things democratic. Socialist. We now know and have all the evidence that we'd ever need is that they protected their favorite candidate. Hillary Clinton. For things you and I and everybody you know that follows you and you have a massive audience would. Literally never get away with. If you had subpoenaed emails Charlie Kirk and you decided to delete them, and you decided to acid. Wash your hard drive with something. I had never heard about bleeped bleach bit and bust up your devices with hammers. You'd go to jail. If you violated the espionage act, you'd go to jail. They protected her. Then the narrative began we now know began in August. We know crossfire hurricane representatives actually went to brief. President Trump General Flynn. Flynn on national security, but they were there to try and get information on trump and Russia, the most amazing part of this, because the Democrats and the media live for all these years is that they knew and they said and they wrote, and they even testified. There was never any evidence, but there was a dirty Russian dossier. And now we know even the New York Times acknowledged full full of Russian disinformation and that was used. And they were warned not to use it, but high ranking people abusing their power, wanting to take out candidate, trump, transition, team, trump, and then deep into the Presidency Donald Trump. They use the dirty Russian misinformation dossier to ruin Carter pages life and roomed his civil liberties and constitutional rights, but more importantly to spy on candidate trump, and then they had their insurance policy. The fact that the mob in the media ignores it is beyond comprehension. I have so I have two chapters. One is on the Russia hoax, and the other is on this whole impeachment witch hunt. And I want everybody in your audience to understand one thing here if I can get one point across. Yeah, they hate Donald Trump, but they hate us more. They think we are as Peter. Struck, said the smell by the way I probably shop at Walmart say money. Why not you have a woman I love Walmart I love COSCO's. I Love I love it all. And I've shopped there my whole life I mean people always stopped me when I'm in a grocery? So, what are you doing here? Shopping? Wa I like to eat a cracks me up. So but think about that. smelly Walmart Shoppers while irredeemable deplorables, wow! Bitter Americans as Obama said that WANNA cling to their God. I'm guilty their Second Amendment Rights Guilty Bibles and religion I'm guilty of that, too. But. It's contempt for your audience. It's contemporary my audience. It's because they knew better. And they will ling. This was an attempted coup. Now do I think there's going to be arrests and prosecutions I? Do spend much slower than any of us would have liked, but the evidence is overwhelming. It's incontrovertible sad actually that this could happen. That was going to be my follow up. Question Sean because when I travel and we get thousands of e mails a on this topic. When are people going to go to jail? And can you give me insight on this? Can you give us any clues any crumbs that we're starting to see from Durham? It's I call them. It's funny. You say crumbs because call them the the Attorney General Bar breadcrumbs. It's like Hansel and Gretel. Remember. We're we're trying to follow and see the trail exactly yeah. He did say that the president was spied on. It did happen illegally. The. Think about this. If you go before Judge Judy I wouldn't WANNA lot because Judge Judy I. I've met her once she'll eviscerate. You I watched her show. You. Don't go before a court. The information that you have not verified. It actually said at the top of a FISO Warren Charlie. It says verified. Okay. We now know the dossier was unverifiable. The sub source we now know, said this this bar talk. We were making this up. This was never meant for anything and again Hillary paid for it funneled money separate issue. And so, what is going to happen I don't have a crystal ball but I. do know all of the facts that are in the public. Are Enough to indict many of the names that your audience is most familiar with. I would argue. Komi McCabe struck page. I'd like to know a clapper. Brennan's role in all of this ends up being and and others. The more fascinating deep question is. Will they get to that January fifth twenty seventeen meeting inside the Oval Office? This is when member Biden said George Stephanopoulos Oh I. Don't know. Anything about this, you know this whole impeachment Russia thing. He was the one same. Bring up the Logan Act fifteen days later Susan Rice in that meeting did the Cya memo the day that Donald Trump was inaugurated. Obama in that meeting shot Sally Age by saying a He. He knew everything about the Kislyak Michael Flynn call. If we look. To sum it up. I think we're GONNA get there because the evidence. Is that overwhelming? If we don't. I fear for the country? Because of you. GonNa Raid Manafort's home predawn raid and you're going to raid Roger Stone's home. For lying to Congress by the all many of the names I mentioned were referred for the same crime and you're gonNA. Pull it twenty nine guys in tactical gear, frogmen and tip off CNN cameras and. Have a biased jury for person. We won't have equal justice and equal application of our laws, and worse than that Charlie is. We lose our constitution. Yes, all our laws are are predicated on next great document and some `perfect, but it creates the path to perfection at a more perfect union so. Long answers. I'M GONNA talk. Show I love it. No, this is what our audience needs to hear, and and thank you for that and look I I completely agree because if we do not have people and I, say this as carefully as I can in handcuffs for what they did Donald Trump then I I will lose faith in the American justice system I. Don't want that and I don't want revenge I don't retribution I want people to be held accountable and I would want the same if someone did this to Barack Obama because it should never happen to a leader ever. Yes. and. They've gone after every single trump friend confidant, and yet if you oppose Donald Trump you get different treatment, talk a lot about the constitution in your book and the founding of our country, Sean going to be honest, I've been very let down by some of these supreme. Court decisions lately Can you comment on that and the importance to get more people like Kavanagh? Who's actually ruled brilliantly? Unlike John Roberts. I! I'm a little. I don't know what's happening. Roberts I have my theory I guess I have my sources people that. have their own ideas based on some knowledge? For whatever reason and I think this goes back to the obamacare decision. He has allowed. How the court appears to influence his decision making. I also sense with no evidence whatsoever. You're not a big fan of president trump, but that should not come into his thinking. Now. If getting rid of bureaucracy and lowering taxes and energy, independence, and securing our borders, and law and order are all part of this election. Let me tell you another big part of it. And it's you know we're taping this ninety. Whatever days away from the Election Day, I what about and we got asked. What about the Supreme Court? Yes, I go through a whole list I. Forget what paid maybe sixty seven I forget. A. In the book. Of. All the things Democrats would do if they're getting power one, is they? WanNa, stack the courts. Get rid of the Electoral College. And I. What, they're saying they. WanNa do is scary. They used to hide it Charlie. When I every single Liberal Democrat running for office, they would run to the left in the primary. They race back to the center, but you knew they wanted the left. There now openly embracing the most radical elements in the country and you know. Unfortunately we're watching it all. Play out nightly on TV and and that sad what I see happening when I think we have to remind a trump supporters that these are not trump appointed justices, a gorsuch I think ruled incorrectly on one ruling. That's it besides that gorsuch and cavenaugh have been tremendous and terrific verses Roberts. I just think we have to give the audience a sense. Sense of continued conviction that the trump appointed justices will continue to rule correctly and Clarence. Thomas and you know the the Thomas Family. They get no credit at all. I mean what he has done. And can you comment on that? 'cause I, E, you've actually been you open my eyes to that like eight years ago and I never learned about Clarence Thomas as a high schooler until you I mentioned it just as a quick aside on his incredible career. I like to do on TV and antidote on radio, too. Sometimes I call it the Hannity history, lesson 'cause I lived through all of this. I know this is going to see. You're not even thirty three, but my radio journey started in nineteen eighty-seven crazy right. Now on my twenty fifth year of Fox, I didn't think I last two. So I feel very blessed. As a side note if you haven't read my grandfather's son. Which is about Clarence Thomas is life. It's amazing. But. You know it's interesting because him and Scalia. To my opinion, my to most favorite justices in my lifetime. Scalia this incredible wit and genius and understanding and. They got a little acerbic side to when when he was questioning Clarence Thomas always set by quietly. What they called a high tech lynching at the time, the more modern. Let it. You gotTA. Remember Yeah. And you know. It was then Senator Ted Kennedy you know Robert Bork's America the borking of America. That was Clarence Thomas. Now we see it more recently cavenaugh. It exposes. The, who is Joe Biden? Who is his team? Because Clarence Thomas and Justice Scalia or the people we need on that court. We call them constitutionalists or originalists, the original intent, not people that would sight foreign law as liberal justices have done or not people that feel that they can rule by judicial Fiat and dictate or legislate from the bench. Democrats always wanted the court to do that which they could never. Do legislatively or win at the ballot box and that's why they want. We call them. Activists Justices Clarence Thomas. has shown a fidelity to the Constitution at the Antony Scalia. That is beyond enviable And the differences styles always interesting, too because Justice Thomas will always be quiet. That's very few questions. Anthony Scalia was in there in a wrestling with people. I don't know about John Roberts. I can't get into it, but I do believe the next president United States is a very good chance. You have a lot of older justices may want to retire. And I think that the next this election in just three short months. That's on the ballot and that's that's generational now. And Sean I think we have to pressure the Biden campaign to do what trump did and release a list of justices I mean president trump was so transparent and Joe Biden hasn't done it yet. Intentionally, of course, because he'll probably put repeated to lieber something on the United States Supreme Court I mean as horrifying as that might be so in two two quick closing question Sean and thank you for being so generous with your time anchorage, everyone you know. Know go by live, free or die. the first is this. Can you just talk about? We are heading into the election. A lot of trump supporters. They're failed. They're falling victim. They suppression pulse I wish that wasn't the case, but it seems like the memory of two thousand sixteen as faded where people forget. We were down by double digits. Can you just give a little vote of confidence to some of our listeners out there? That think we're just losing. I WANNA. Give the vote of confidence, but I want people to feel this way. I want people to think I'll use a football analogy that our mutual friend Linda that you know. Who's your biggest fan? My radio producer? He's amazing. Amazing, but she doesn't even know how many points you get a touchdown, so I'm giving these football analogies. I, want this election. I want people to feel the way I feel which is. We're on our own twenty. Two minutes to go. We have no time outs We're down by six. We got a cross. The plane marched down the field, cross the plane and hit the extra point to win. So if people feel a sense of genuine urgency and worry and concern, I'm cool with that because fear often as a great motivator, not irrational field fear, but if people do not vote, you will get the government that they're telling you. They're going to give you believe. That that is their agenda. To be a Republican and win. You GotTa always use this analogy got to run the table I gotTA. Get Florida Georgia North Carolina can't win without Ohio. No Republican's ever become president without it right? You got hold Iowa then you got pick off Pennsylvania Wisconsin hopefully Michigan maybe MINNEA- Minnesota will be play. Maybe the city of Arizona will be in play. By Joe Biden reference for those of you. That didn't get. We got a hold Arizona Gopher Nevada New Mexico. New Hampshire and Maine's second congressional district. If every single mom, this is a battle cry. You started out this interview with this. I wrote this book not because I like writing books. My last book I donated every Penny I made to charity I don't care. It's not that. This is a tipping point. Charlie this is I, don't. See if these policies are implemented how America recovers. Irreparable harm the to the rule of law to our courts to our economy, they want to wipe out the lifeblood of of the world's economy. This this promise of socialism and I go into such detail about how it's always failed. Here's a quick socialism of example. Member obamacare. Keep your doctor keep your plan. Save on average twenty five hundred dollars a year per family right? Okay. Millions lost their doctors. Millions lost their plans. We're all paying about two hundred percent more and add to that. Forty percent of Americans almost forty percent have only one obamacare Biden Carriage James Choice now. How did they do with that promise? Medicare is going broke. How did they do it? That promised social security. Charlie hate the break this here. He paying into it. You probably won't get it I. Barely Skate through, and they might give me ten cents until they means tested and then take it back, How does it? How did Liberal government work in New York City with all the anarchy cutting a billion dollars, so please? How's IT WORKING IN CHICAGO? All. These liberal cities have where the violence we've been talking about takes place. They all have one thing in common. They've been run by Liberal Democrats for decades right. Most of these states have been run into the ground by Liberal Democrats for decades. If you WANNA know what America will look like if Biden Bolshevik Bernie. Pelosi Schumer and Bozo. That team gets place look at new. York state and city look at Chicago the City Illinois. The State Look at California. Look at Oregon. Look at Portland, the city. Look at Seattle. Look at the state of Washington. Yes. And I. Love this country too much. You know it's an all hands on deck moment and Every everyone of you've got this connection with younger people in this country. You have this incredible. A credible platform you built, and it's become powerful and meaningful and transformative to the country, and you're going out there, and you're fighting on these college campuses and you. You know it's not easy to be in the middle of a I call it a shift. Show all the time, but let's well put, but you do it. And it's freedom works. Every time you give up freedom for security, you lose your freedom because the security that they're offering. These promises that can never ever be fulfilled. In America. The land. I'll close with this unless you want to go further I can keep going the. Barry Farber who was a mentor of mine. Just recently passed away like ninety ninety one. And he always said there's never been a country in the history of mankind that has accumulated more power and abused at less than the United States well I add. A country in the history of mankind that has accumulated more power abused at less, but used it to advanced human condition. The reason America is great and exceptional. If I can say that today, it's not perfect, but it's great. An exceptional is because of its people, and because of the fundamentals of liberty and freedom. So that? Natural rights versus government or rights, natural rights come from God doubt by our Creator. Life Liberty pursuit of happiness while you can't pursue happiness these days in Chicago New York Moreland Seattle. So there's a lot on the line. I love your audience. I'm so thankful for all you're doing, and you've got a great team that you building review and you're out there fighting the fight and I just urge you guys. Just fight like your country depends on it. Because America's, we know it. It's all hanging in the balance. Yet was Sean. You've been so generous the last quick thing I defend the president all the time personally as a person. Can you comment on that because I've had the opportunity to meet him? not as much as you obviously and get to know him, but a lot of people here misrepresentations in lies about who he is as a human being. Let's close on this note. Can you just mention one or two things that that people can take away from that? You know first of all. It's interesting. Nobody seems to understand Donald trump yet. They don't want to understand. I mean Donald Trump. The Dog Bites the beasts, things you feeling sad or get cancer. You Complain Trump. I mean that's how saying the leftist. But here's a guy that is so unique he this guy is like a soon nami force of energy like I've never met my life. The most distinct and unique quality he's had is as president. You mentioned the Supreme Court. He put those people that he said he put. He cut the bureaucracy as he said he'd caught, and he cut the taxes as he said he'd cut. He did the North Dakota. A keystone pipelines Anwar Likey said he would. He's building the wall or almost four hundred miles. A wall by the by election will be over four hundred miles. He found a way it was. It was an uphill climb He said he wanted to pull us out of foreign conflicts, but not back away from evil defeated. The Caliphate took out. Baghdadi and Associates took out Sola Mani took out the Al. Qaeda leader in Yemen. So? What makes him special and unique in terms of presidency is that he is who you see is who you get. The guy that's fights on twitter is the guy that's fighting for a better trade. Deal the guy that fights. Against Liberal Democrats and the media mob is the same guy is fighting to keep his promises that to me makes him the most unique transformative political figure in our lifetime. And Right now. The. We tip the scales. You have a choice. It's never been a bigger choice. He will keep his promises. Coronas been a little bit of a curve ball to the world, but even that ten days after the first case, the only guy that I know of thought about a travel ban will be donald trump. They were teaching at the time and Joe Binder Biden was call them Sinophobic, so he's a man of his word. He's a man that will fight to his last dying breath for this country and the promises he made, and that makes them in my view very transformative. Men will. "ABC montage, Many of these former Democrat officials in the Clinton Obama administration's and elsewhere Put together by gravy and others are pretend journalists like Wolf Blitzer and Briana Keiler. Among others, and a few Democrat representatives thrown in because they all sound the same. Pushing Locking up Donald Trump. Cut three. Go ahead. He wants to see the president, United States in prison. It's an extraordinary statement from the speaker of the house. Do you agree with her? Is that how you see it? Do you want to see the president in prison instead of impeaching him? So what was your reaction when you heard Speaker Pelosi reportedly saying is that she wants to see President Trump in prison. But here's the question. Would you like to see President Trump in prison? Do you think President Trump committed crimes that could be prosecuted? He did when Nancy Pelosi says she wants to see the president United States in prison is that at all realistic You know, I think it could be realistic. No one is above the law, and that includes President Trump. If it determines that we lead to impeachment, or if he ends up in jail, So be it. I almost said that he should be in jail. If you become president in 2020. Would you want your Justice Department to pursue charges against President Trump? Do you want to see President Trump in prison? Let me press you, Congressman. Lincoln Project Releases Video Criticizing Trump's Pandemic Remarks and Well-Wishes to Ghislaine Maxwell
"I want to take a look at another factor in the campaign, and this is Republicans working against the re election of Donald Trump, and this is the latest from the Lincoln Project, let's take a look at the Lincoln projects latest AD. COVID nineteen deaths till now more than one hundred forty, one thousand thousand new deaths reported overnight. It is what it is. Forty million people have lost their jobs in ten weeks is what it is massive camouflaged federal agents detaining peaceful protesters. It is what it is. The British social is accused of conspiring with. I wish her well whatever it is I just wish it well frankly. Jennifer Mary from Donald. Trump's both yesterday to the ad tonight. something obviously unimaginable before him? President United States saying I wish her well twice about a woman accused of sex trafficking, minor jewelry four Jeffrey, Epstein. Yeah and it's a case. The Messenger being effective for getting getting under trump's skin. Think that wondering the Lincoln projects does really well. Is that Republicans are former Republicans may know what irks Republicans and say you know. I, think coming back. Keep coming back to that comment about wishing her well is joined to. It's GonNa. It's GonNa. Upset Him, and that's what. That's what he does. Their ads are designed to do that. Designed to provoke and you know with the the video with the former vice president and President Obama. It's another case of the Messenger being just the right one in. We all talk about how trump doesn't take responsibility. Kirk says, but to have a former president I dates. Who Bore so much responsibility for advice for the United? States, speaking in a casual conversation like this. I think it really has an impact people. It's not a speech. It's not a set interview. It's a conversation and also as a practitioner I really admire how well the Biden campaign is played this out a clip today. We are all talking about it. I got a ton of. Of calls from reporters today. Who wanted to talk about the Biden Obama relationship? There was an event in build build. There's more that they'll will see tomorrow, but this is what the campaigns got to figure out. How do you do this and the time of a pandemic when you don't when the BP doesn't have the opportunity to do a lot of offense and I think we'll have to see stage, but in this case manage to make it informal in warm events like this. As the president was leaving the briefing room. Today we could all hear someone or more than one reporter yelling. That name Lane Maxwell to the president That was the question he didn't want to deal with today about. Why did he wish her well yesterday? That's right and what we saw yesterday was a president who was at least on message when he was reading. Out from notes, but then when he was his notes, he was against spreading misleading information so while he's reading he saying yes, the it's going to get worse before it's better the minutes later when he doesn't have a dose in front of what he's saying is actually it's going to disappear so what we see and president trump is someone who is easily thrown off in this case. When he's answering the question, he's being fully himself, so he answered that question really in the way that he really believed. He wanted to answer it and I. Think now, of course it's causing problems for him, and maybe now he's GonNa Adjust his answer. to to find some way that will make this may smooth over a bit, but we already know what president trump thinks because we have to go with the first answer, which is the answer that he gave when he was really thinking about it, in a way that was very much leaning on his instincts, which was of course to wish her well.

"The president United States said, Where a mask would you need to run that ad campaign? Well, will. He wore a mask this past week, So we're very, very thankful for that and very happy that he wore a mask and said that you know, people should wear masks. So, uh, look, it's no, it's no different than anything else in this country. We're not used to wear a mask. Fran. I were a trade mission to Japan a few months ago, and a lot of people wore masks. It's more of the culture in this country. We don't have the culture to do that. And so what? We have to do it so people understand It's not just about them that when they walk into a store It's important for them to wear that mask for somebody else. That's why we run the ads. That's why we and they're all they're all high ones, talking to other high winds and saying We've got to do this together and high winds have done done well, but its people are getting weary. Across this country. People are weary about staying home. They want to get out and I understand that or messages you can get out. You can participate in the economy. But please be careful. Don't do things that are just don't make any sense, And that's the message that we keep trying to bring across to the people of Ohio. Now, if the mainstream media Weren't corrupt the take away. The major takeaways that you'd be reading about is governor tells Chuck tied the Trump administration has given the state of Ohio everything they've asked for. If the media weren't corrupt, the takeaway would be governor tells Chuck Todd of Meet the press that the president has said wear a mask because he has, by the way. He literally has said We're a mask. I've got no problem with masks. The mainstream media take away should have been that Mike DeWine correctly points out that people turn to governors over cases of of emergency like this that is nationwide, but that effects states differently. What they're doing in New York today shouldn't be what we do in Florida today. The numbers are different in those two states right now. We get it if you can believe the accuracy of the numbers. I don't believe the accuracy of the numbers. I saw the story The other day guy dies in a motorcycle accident in central Florida. That intrepid fox TV station Fox. I guess Fox, 30 Three or 35 I think in Orlando, they've been doing great work. They do some taking. Fox, 35 finds out that they call that a cove in death. I died of a motorcycle accident. You hear stuff like that? You say? I don't believe any of it. And and You shouldn't Throw a baby out with the bathwater approach. Covert 19 Israel it is here. People are getting sick. There are some people dying. There are some people going through terrible, terrible illness. Don't pretend it's not here. And let's get the numbers to go down rather than go up. I don't think that that I don't think that's even a heavy lift. Let's do our part where we can, just like I talk every day about the need to register to vote. You gotta register to vote vote dot gov Make sure you're registered. Make sure your family's registered. Make sure you talk about the election. Make sure you talk about the difference between the lawless Anarchists who are Democrat presented by the Democratic Party and the law and order. People who are represented by the Republican Party. And then do your part when it comes to Corona virus. Be smart. Be careful. Don't act like it isn't here. Don't go marching around without any kind of protective mask. Don't go marching around in groups of people and say, Let's have a Corona Virus party and let's be in the middle of 2025 people don't go lingering with other people in big parties and rooms and marches. Don't go shoulder to shoulder in protest marches and act like you're not contributing to the problem because you are And we are a country. That we're freedom matters. "President United States shortly after I was on FOX and friends, he was on FOX and friends. Obviously, he's the big draw. And fascinating to me when he. Talks to the media and so forth. I mean we've never seen a president willing to be so available to the media. They don't any more press conference. Well, you can think it cost for that. But you do get access to the president, you get access to version. Former off the got access to Barack Obama, who would do his filibuster thing. So Ainsley Earhardt as the president of question, let's go cut. Five go president with criminal cover up. Well, you know what with what Mark Levin said because nobody could say better. Fascist. It's a disgraceful statement. Stop right there. All day long. They've played the president's response, and they've cut out that portion have you noticed that Mr. producer? All over TV today all over TV. Newsrooms all even our friends. They cut out that part and they pick it up right here. Go ahead. I call it a nervous Nancy nervous wreck. And I'll tell you what for her to make your statement like that is outrageous party got caught spying. I mean if you look at what happened Hillary Clinton with the money that ultimately, went to Russia for the fake dossier that total fake pile is stuff that money gets paid. And by the way, the amount of money that was paid was paid by Hillary Clinton. The DNC went to Russia. Criminal. And when you look at it when you look at what happened in terms of the campaign when you look at what happened in terms of the spying, she never mentioned that isn't it amazing that constantly every day? Somebody gets a lead of come into congress come into congress because, you know, it's like death by the by the way means a subpoena a letter for subpoena gun. I will tell you, it's so unfair what they're doing and I really think that people are wise to, but when Nancy Pelosi makes a statement like that Kyoto be ashamed of herself. It's a disgrace now. You have some people in the media cleaning this format. Who are trying to twist with the president said when he was asked by George Stephanopoulos, the hemorrhoids. I mean Clinton the president United States. If you've got information from a foreign country, what would you do with some of these guys just think they're so clever. Wow. This and the president meant that the president answered it the right way. I mean, essentially what he said early on was look, I look at it. It's opposition research. If there's something in there that you go to the FBI. I'll give it to the FBI. I might do both. It's a perfectly good answer. It's not a trick answer. It's not the setup the media. It's a perfectly good answer. Cut six go. A lot of support Percival I don't think anybody would present me with anything bed because they know how much I love this country. Nobody's going to present me with anything number two. If I was and of course, you have to look at it because if you don't look at it, you know. Sped. How are you? But of course you'd give it to the FBI or reported to the attorney general or somebody like that. But of course you do that. You couldn't have that happen with our country that everybody understands that, and I thought it was made clear fact I actually said at the beginning. I think I said I'd do. But if you don't hear what it is. You know what it is? Danton listen to this resident say, oh, he would he would accept it. Don't listen to now if anything was incorrect or badly stated. The attorney general, the FBI report it to law enforcement, absolute with people are saying he's backpedaling, not backpedaling in the least, just listen to what the man says. Stop trying to twist it. Just listen to what the Maine's it's like Charlottesville. Listen to what the man says.

Because they know they're really it's a crappy job, right, right? Bloomberg Scott a ton of money tons of money. He got all kinds of money. He could flip Schultz and Trump. For their money and probably go. Why not? Why? I've said it's gotta be top down at an independent with great disrupters are amazing disrupters are great. You look back through time. And you see the people that have disrupted business and systems and you've seen and disruptive. I went in. And I broke everything. And then they know they changed things they disrupted the way that business was conducted. Normally. And it was good. It was very good. I'm all for it. I think an independent would be great. And in the data age where we are so polarized. Right. We're so tribal. It's so ridiculous. Is it interesting to say that maybe having somebody at the top of that quote, unquote ladder? Would be interesting because the Republicans can then talk to the base of Republicans, the Democrats could talk to their base of Democrats without worrying about this baloney that I'm going to govern for both sides because the reality is you could say that you could even attempt to do that. But the other side doesn't want you. So nothing you're going to do matters. So maybe having that bridge between the two can actually get some stuff done. And it's funny to see the way that everybody is tacking Howard Schultz says shirts. Right. Because as they go after them. It's mostly and he's left leaning. They're pissed it would they be saying it if he was a bit right-leaning, look, I have news for you. He's not as left leaning. As the progressives. That are overtaken the party want. He pooh-poohed the Medicare for all. Let's get rid of what's going on out there with this thought process that we could just get rid of the entire insurance thing in Kamala Harris has said that she since backed away from that. But it's very interesting. And I believe that when you find if you go back through history, and you look at great disruptors. And see what they did. Right. J P Morgan. Who took Edison and the thought process of electron density, and then took tesla bought out Westinghouse and crushed him and took that and said, hey, kerosense cheap. Everybody can use it. There's a monopoly on it. But guess what I'm going to disrupt? Everything by changing the entire game. Saying screw that. This is what you need disruptor. The ipod the iphone disruptor. Right. You look at people who've disrupted. It's huge. At what they've been able to do. Maybe he's what we need. Maybe he's not. Maybe he doesn't have a is cubes chance in hell. But the reality is. Disrupters have been good. And the potential for him to at least make enough noise to get people to think outside of their tribalism box. I think is a good thing.
