It that's that's how you know. You're an adult birthday. So not great. This thing about what we do is if you ever feel like forgetting your birthday, a bunch of Australians who live in a different dimension will wish you happy birthday like four days before your B- it's your you know because for them whenever the heck the time is in Australia it comes up for them and then you start getting message I'm like what my what the? Interesting. Thing. But you also get fine mcallen's sent to you from co co-hosts. Thank you so much. Indra. You. Deserve. It Man Ooh I just had an idea. We cannot combine two things we need to announce that we are doing the Q., and A. That we do every month on Saturday. That's August first, Saturday that's GONNA be at four, thirty PM my time seven thirty PM everybody else in the world's time eastern time. Maybe. I can crack open that Scotch and having who. Let's be real. I will have already done that before then but. I will re open the bottle and try some of that on the live Q. and A. Video. Nice and as always on the a patrons get to suggest and up vote the questions that get asked. So take a look for that threat in your patriotic feet. Absolutely heart the ones you want to hear asked and. Ask Your own and see see if we get to it we do our best andrew notoriously bad at lightning rounds but we try we try. Okay couple other announcements before we get to today's action packed episode Andrew was kind enough to come on series inquiries. Only I wanted to do a show where we kinda throw out all the wild theories of how trump might just try to stay in office kind of thing, and it's something we've touched on here. We've covered a little bit but I thought it would be a good opportunity to really try to throw some curveballs it Andrew and just get the wild theories out there and Andrew would talk us off alleged or I would talk Andrew on. Ledge. as saying the episode and so that's over on Seo. So we're going to thing where we'll. We'll put that in the patron feed for this show. If you if you're patron will pop it in your feed if not you'll have to hop over to Seo series inquiries only just search that on any podcast thingy and check that out. It'll be the next couple episodes will be Andrew Yeah. That was a lot of fun as as you're GonNa hear the segment the one question we just sort of dismissed is, of course, you know breaking news as we record today. But like we really dive into I, think some of the more real join you on the ledge a little bit right It's I'm still optimus prime. Ledge Spoilers Yes, Know Ledge spoilers you have now is that was a lot of fun. And it's always great to go back to the mothership. So everyone should check that out, and also another note we like to try to throw a lots of stuff in the patron feed for patrons in one of those things is talk that Andrew? Did you WANNA give people a little little hint of what that is? Yeah. Thanks to our friend Michael Marshall I was. Invited by skeptics in the pub online to deliver a lecture, and this is if you heard my one hundred seconds, talk that I gave to Houston Texas? This is a greatly expanded version of that talk which I talk about a killer robots and how they try and trick us. It's I I I mean little by specialty in killer robot law. Yeah. Shockingly. It's a new L. given that your former Fan I'm sure it's Once you got into law to do. It's it's the it's the case I was born to litigate baby is there I know an X. men there's frazier plays the X. men lawyer. I've I know my accident which I don't. Know, is there a transformers version of that? Like? Is there a transformer attorney at law who's also a spaceship or something? So, there is a fantastic character. Chief Judge. Tie. Rest. Yeah. What makes him great is that he's insane and the way in which he? Alleviated the like build up of basically like by trapping himself right like by drilling holes in throughout his body still more qualified than most of trump's appointees to the it's a fantastic storyline shouldn't have asked. We've got a lot of news to get. On me listeners sorry about that my fault. and. Also quick teaser. You've got another talk coming soon to a patron feed near you it was an American atheists panel that you did. So. That's another thing to look forward to ask the President Finland to question place. Okay so first things first something we meant to actually kind of address in the all, but we didn't even kind of doom bother because it's it's one of those clear as Kushner things trump today in an effort to distract from what is always horrible news whether it's the fact that the economies shrank by a massive amount I think it's probably mainly that or the fact that Herman Cain died from going to his rally and died of coronavirus one of those things whatever it is. He's trying to distract from he tweets out. He's thinking about delaying the election of course that means a bunch of people have to do a whole bunch of talking about and whatever and falling for the distraction, but it's also hard as we faced so many times in this last four years because it is a real threat like it's hard to say, oh, he's just being you know he's just doing a distraction when he threatens to be a fascist dictator like it's hard to just ignore it. But anyway, fortunately, for everybody, we've already covered this opening arguments three seventy. So no trump can't delay. The election is earning else. You WanNa say on that while we're here. Yeah. I. Want to quickly summarize because I've been sort of putting out these fires on social media right? Because as you point out when we say no trump can't do something people will come back and say right just like he couldn't hire jared Kushner right and and look it's a good argument except that the you have to look at what are what's the default condition if trump doesn't act right so the condition if if trump. A trump does night but if trump. Acts in violation of the law and the default condition with respect to the nepotism act was well then we'll impeach him which obviously..

"Door open for documents or interviews and then you could push it off you can go through at the committee level and these are all sort of milestone events which historically are unpalatable or less palatable for the administration that sometimes starts to move the needle and and with these types of disputes once you get the ball rolling you know it's a good luck out a pro we can get a witness and it was deputy director Andrew McCabe and for you know was a couple months but once we got every director McCabe then couple weeks later we got our director call me chief of staff couple weeks later I mean the witnesses start once you get the ball rolling eating again you don't always like a hundred percent of the terms sometimes you got to do with agency council sometimes you gotta go look in town in camera but once you get the ball rolling usually it leads to positive results and and historically has allow the Congress to do its work and were any of those things down here no in fact they decided we're not going to work we're not going to subpoena certain people that are important it's not fair to say and we're not going to go to court and enforce them so these people have you know these folks that are caught in an inter branch struggle and that's it that's an unfortunate position for any employee of the one of the concerns things is is doctor Kupperman who has been described by doctor Fiona hill in a number of witnesses is a is a solid citizen a good witness he he filed a lawsuit in the in the in the face of a subpoena and a judge is assigned to judge Leon and the the issues the government raise were slightly different than that on again issues because you know don again is the personal for the White House counsel the government of course is a national security official government you know filed the lawsuit seeking guidance government wasn't see asking the court to tell him not to come testify to the contrary government was seeking the court's guidance to facilitate his cooperation and and ultimately this the committee with withdrew the subpoena yes which raises questions about whether the committee is really interested in getting to the bottom of some of these issues right instead the committee's chosen the intelligence committee has chosen to rely on in bass or something and his testimony I think they rely six hundred times and there are very what I did I I on this point I yesterday I opened the Democrats report and I did a control **** you know control that yes in someone's name shows up I think six hundred eleven times in fairness it's going to be double counted because you know if it's in a sentence and then it's in a footnote that's to but in relative comparison to the other witnesses Somers relied on big time and I think doctor hill testified that she at some point confronted him about his actions as the the record is mixed on this front doctor hill talks about raising concerns or someone in some of his deposition at least doesn't you know he didn't share the same view and there's a lot of instances of that where investors online recalls one thing and other witnesses recall another is that correct someone is a witness is a and he's a bit of an enigma let's just say that way he was you know he's pretty certain in his deposition that the the security assistance wasn't linked to anything and then he submitted a he submitted an addendum I call that a pretzel sentence he and even in that addendum or supplement or whatever it's called it's you know it's talk to him in her in and anyway the someone I. ends with you know I presume so wasn't really any first hand information we don't have a lot of first hand information here is that correct on certain facts we we don't I mean we have first hand information on the may twenty third meeting in the oval office we've got a lot of first hand information although all conflicting harm on the July tenth meeting there there are you know episodes I think during the course of this investigation that we haven't been able to at least get everyone's accounts Bucks the investigation hasn't hasn't been able to reveal you know first hand evidence relating to the president other than that the call transfer and I think we've already talked about this the ambassador's son lan I would presume things assume things and for opinions based on what other people told him and then he would use those as first hand is that correct you know it started with his role with the Ukraine for falling a lot of people at the state department were wondering why the ambassador to the E. U. was so engaged in your you know issues related to the Ukraine and you know there there are answers for that the Ukraine is aspirin's to join you and then there's a lot of other reasons and Mister Turner I think explore this really well at the at the open hearing but we we ask the masters on when he said he did a TV interview in key on on the twenty sixth of July where you said the president's given me you know a lot of assignments and he's the president to sign me Ukraine and so forth damn when we asked him in his deposition he conceded that he was in fact spinning that the president never assigned in the Ukraine that he was just used you know he was exaggerating and I think at the public hearings you pointed out that in contrast to other witnesses ambassador song one is in a note taker he in fact he said I do not recall dozens of times in his deposition let's say this for you know master tailor walked us through his is standard operating procedure for taking notes he told us about having a notebook on his desk in a notebook in his coat pocket of his suit he brought it with us and he showed us so consequently when ambassador Taylor recounts to us you know what what happened he is backed up by these contemporaneously notes ambassador someone on the other hand was was very clear that you know you know who won first and he said that he did not have access to state department records well you said that at the public hearing simultaneously the state department issued a tweet I think or a statement at least saying that wasn't true no nobody is keeping ambassador Simon from his emails you know we still state department employees you can go you know he does have access to his records but he stated he didn't any stated that he doesn't have any notes because he doesn't take notes I any conceded that he doesn't have recollections of on a lot of these issues and you know we sort of made a list of and I I think that the hearing I called it the tri factor of on of reliability and you're not the only person that has concerns about investor silence testimony conduct I think other witnesses took issue with his conduct is that correct yeah Marcin talked about instances where an ambassador Simon Sir showing up uninvited A. I. Marcin didn't understand why Saddam is trying to get into the Warsaw meeting September first and doctor health unit held told us about issues of that sort and a number of witnesses you're correct and a master return ambassador someone to crack yeah believe investor reeker said he was a problem is a problem yeah and doctor hill raise concerns about his behavior and said that he might be F. intelligence risk is that correct she she did she she she had issues with he is tendency to this allowed his mobile device in a telephone calls and since we which obviously can be monitored yes by the bad guys and we talked about how he was spending that you know certain things and he admitted that how he was spending end of unity exaggerated yes and it also you know when it comes to his communications with the president's we tried to get on the list all the communications the president I think he gave us six and then when he was back at it you know he walked us through each communication with the president by the way it was around Christmas party was about when the president Finland was here and then congressman spear asked him the same question the open hearing any he said that he talked to the president like twenty times so the the record is mixed I think my time's up thank you both go back the gentleman you Mister chairman Mister chairman cool Mister chairman Mister chairman I roost recess for thirty minutes person because one eight of rule of is.

"And back to audio sound bites president trump moments ago in the oval office meeting with the president Finland solely man Mister here is trump speaking about reporters continuing after talking about pelo see doing nothing I mean they've tried to pass some bad stuff McConnell shut it down but they haven't you know they've they've they've shelved everything now and are not doing a thing for the country for the American people anyway so trump calls that out which is good and then continued with this same been trying to impeach being from the day I got elected and you know what they failed and this is the easiest one of all because this one is based on one conversation what about Obama's conversation with the president of Russia where he says Hey Hey tell Vlad all I'll talk to him after the elections overall talk to feel pretty reports that right that stuff you should report but you people should be ashamed of yourself we have the most dishonest media so you can imagine and you should be was quick well that's all you heard about and I think you said seven or eight times quit for another words you're going to do that or we're not going to give you money you're going to do this so we're not going to I never said it but when I heard these horrible stories come out I had no choice but to release a conversation they never thought in a million years that I'd released a conversation when little Adam Schiff saw the complete text when I read it he couldn't believe it when she saw that she was she I heard she went crazy she said we can impeach him of this conversation that's a great conversation she went by the whistle blower and the whistle blower was so bad I would even think about it but here's what happened the whistle blower was wrong the only thing that matters is the transcript of the actual conversation that I had with the president of Ukraine it was perfect let know they build on this what he means by perfect it was perfectly congratulatory is perfectly legal it was perfectly man early it was perfect everywhere there was there was nothing in it that is any way even where did judge on the basis of ill mannered or bracket doe shares are on Sirius or impolitic series thing I've ever seen media runs with it they don't expect trump to release the transcript this is key you don't understand they think they're going to get away with mis characterizing it however they wish because in their minds trouble never give up this kind of privacy will never expose the presidency that this kind of openness so they were going to be able to say about this call if anything they wanted and she still is even though the transcript is out but trump pitch perfect change up by releasing the transcript and the moment the transcript was made public everybody knew more than the whistle blowers there's no need for the whistle blower to testify the whistle blower does not have by his own admission direct first hand knowledge the whistle blower cannot add anything the whistle blower was going to characterize the call until trump released the transcript when they saw the transcript see they were prepared do not damage trump is right they wanted to portray trumpet stonewalling as obstructing they wanted to be able to say that he had started a cover up he blew all that by releasing the transcript and then the transcript does have anything in it that is impeachable I mean John case against told us never Trumper you can impeach a guy for this phone call you can't there's no impeachable offense and I'm not a report Casey but we case he hasn't been back on CNN since he said that so trump changeup curveball what have you now they are having to make it up and there after having to act like this is so much worse than even they thought it's all "It's corrupt and it's fake. I asked the President Finland to question please yes so that was that was donald trump screaming at a reporter. Ask Ask the president of Finland question my favorite line pay. Hey we get the president filling here. ASKING UH-HUH DONALD TRUMP's deep in abiding respect for the protocol of the two into foreign leader press conference is is admirable. I guess I also just think like look we. We have now spent the last couple of days with Donald Trump and the entire like Republicans in Congress Maga- Pundits Fox News the whole fucking conservative swamp ecosystem coming up with if all of these bullshit defenses about you know who is the whistle blower and this is second hand information and we worked with Adam Schiff and Adam Schiff should resign. I'm shift made up the phone. Call the whistleblower made up the phone call. None of this is real and then all of us here. Donald Trump call on foreign powers to investigate his political opponents. It's like in public this morning. It's like I guess are we all the whistle blowers now. Hello Hello Inspector General. I have some second hand information formation. I haven't heard from very good sources. Donald Trump's voice asking for his foreign asking foreign governments who investigate his political opponents. Should I write up the complaint. Should I go to Adam Schiff. What should I do with this information. Dan I think there is a broader issue here about the trump presidency that sort of manifests itself in the last week which is you know whether it's in his twitter tantrums which we talked out on tour last week or what he said in the very his various press temper tantrums yesterday but but here you have the United States calling for the arrest sentencing and execution of democratic doc members of Congress had whistleblowers you have the president trump bullying whistle blower or whistle blower comparing to US spy accusing them of treason. You have the president calling a constitutional impeachment process a coup to take away people's secondment rights which seems not dangerous at all and we have reached this point where sort of the majority of the political community you know the reporters politicians blue checkmark nation. We we now no longer take the president seriously or literally yeah. He's the he's basically the person screaming on the subway way. You're more focused on the fact that they're screaming than what they're screaming but he's pretty. United States and these things still matter and they really matter like we shouldn't take it it lightly when the president calls for the investigation of political opponents or members of Congress when Chief Wall Enforcement Officer in the entire country is a named member of the alleged criminal conspiracy at the root of this whole thing and so like we laugh about it. He is insane. It is ridiculous. It is a fucking fucking national and global embarrassment that he is rising United States but we have to we can't default to he's a crazy person there for the things he say they don't matter because as we know from all the violence and happening now pass over the pipelines the thinks he say do matter and there are people in this world to act on them even if they're not members of Congress Congress there's that and there's also the fact that he is because these this scandal and these applicable offenses have to do with national security and foreign policy like it opens up a whole new element to why this is dangerous like he is the president is jeopardizing our national security because he is basing our foreign policy on his own narrow political interests right like Ukraine is a country that was invaded by Russia that the global community and the United States of America Erica had decided that it is in our interest to help defend them from Russian aggression and now that is at risk because Donald Trump wanted them to investigate his political opponent China an authoritarian government with whom we're in a trade war because of Donald Trump with the entire global economy and are in the united the United States economy at stake now. He's sending them a message that this authoritarian government should investigate an American citizen in their family who happens to be a potential political opponents of Donald Trump. That's what he's doing right now. It's not just like I mean it can. I you know I've laughed at times during this whole thing. It is absurd watching this unfold but we are you know the fact that our foreign policy is at stake in our foreign policy is being based on whatever Donald Trump thinks will get him through the election and is incredibly dangerous incredibly dangerous yeah. These are not great times. I would say no no. They're not it's not great then political no reports that those tumblers tumblers yeah no by the that's it. It's on sale now. A political reports that some Republican lawmakers and strategists are concerned about trump's strategy strategy with them. I couldn't get through the questions with one with one Republican operative saying quote. Nobody wants to look like Kevin. McCarthy did on sixty minutes and right now. There is deep scepticism that the late. Night Fox lineup will have any credibility with rank and file Republicans Publican that are necessary to prosecute this argument against House Democrats. What do you think about that. It is certainly true that I reject the the premise of question in the sense that there is obviously no strategy right right. They don't there there isn't wine. There is just a man ranting into a microphone and then various sync offense with two to three million people audiences parroting those I was struck by this tweet from I think it was a tweet from Laura Ingraham that said basically he was trying to give trump advice where if he essentially ignored this entreated and stopped stopped acting like crazy person that he would get through it better and it is. It's interesting to watch because he there is there is a strategy here. It's pretty obvious that any normal human being could take and there's also a for trump right like you could say. I did nothing wrong long. You could blame Giuliani and fire him. You could say you're going to cooperate right right. I mean that's sort of what they did with Muller is they kept saying they're we're going to cooperate and they cooperated on the things that didn't matter that much and on the things that really matter they obstructed and they got away with it. Obviously there is a strategy for Republicans to which is to say we don't agree. With what trump did we think it was wrong but we don't think it rises to the level of impeachable offense and we think it is a shame that House Democrats are so busy trying to undo the results of two thousand sixteen election that they're refusing to help raise wages. She has for families or improve healthcare like there's an obvious strategy but they can't do it because with trump you have to take a loyalty oath breath with for political death right like you have to ride with him the whole way or you live in fear of of being one tweet away from the primary yeah. It's right or die. I mean there is there is a strategy. If you sort of like step really far back and squint insurgency the strategy which is the call was perfect. The whistle blower is a partisan Liar Adam Schiff as a partisan liar they're all in cahoots with the deep state and CNN and you know whoever forged Obama's birth certificate so they have this sort of this conspiracy brewing and you know you you saw it yesterday a little bit when and the New York Times has the story about how the whistle blower who originally filed a complaint within the intelligence community before going to the g with with the whistleblowers bosses wasn't getting anywhere didn't know what to do because they were obviously trying to cover up the complaint so then the whistle blower goes to Adam mm shifts committee to one of his staff members and says hey. I have this complaint. What do I do and and sort of doesn't doesn't explain exactly what the complaint is but just gives the outline and then the committee says okay well. You should get a lawyer and you should go to your inspector general the intelligence community. That's the official channel but because The New York Times writes it you know as like shift might have nonni early about the whistleblower suddenly now every single right wing media figure is on High Alert Donald Trump's waving the article around during the press conference friends. I'm exonerated. Let's see what I told you. Adam ships Aligarh he's in on this and I do think what the what the right is doing is they're just sort of waiting for these little developments hence to then cling to two point to say actually this whole thing was a fucking deep state plot after all Donald Trump's innocent but what's what is the problem with that here the there there was a fundamental problem and this entire strategy speaks to the weakness which is it nothing that whistle blower did or Said who they spoke to who they voted for they can have a feel the burn license plate on the car. It wouldn't fucking matter because we don't the whistle blowers inconsequential now because the core piece of evidence prior to Donald Trump admitting to the crime national television earlier today was a call transcript released at least Donald Trump's White House right all I mean the whistle blower basically drew a crime map and then we've discovered all the crime since then so it does it matter and so so like that strategy doesn't hold up to literally one millisecond of scrutiny may be enough to get through primetime on Fox anti keep forty percent trump's forty percent base in his corner but it's not a long term strategy you to deal with the political fallout of this yeah. I mean no person who just sort of even even if you're a headline scanner even if you're one of the even if you're just walking through the airport importance chirons on CNN. You'RE GONNA figure out that this is all bullshit that the that the like you said the whistle blower does not matter anymore because the call transcript the script was the impeachable offense the main people fence until then the president went on TV and called on Ukraine and another nation to investigate his political opponents. Look it is and this is this is why we need to impeach him and this is why fucking. Republicans should join in to like it is clear now that we cannot have a free and fair election in twenty twenty because the president of the United States is using the vast powers of his office including his ability to make foreign policy and make national security decisions to pressure foreign governments to solicit foreign assistance to interfere in our election on his behalf literally what the founders were worried about foreign foreign foreign interference in the United States affairs in our elections. Donald Trump is committed to doing that even now even as he's been caught in the middle of an impeachment trial. I'll for this. He impeachment inquiry about this. He is asking foreign nations to investigate his political opponents and if people think that he's going to stop at Joe Oh Biden you have you should think again because he will do this. He will find a Foreign Nation to investigate Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders Buddha Judge Kama Harris and and on and on and on and it won't just before nations it will be you know right-wing billionaires and no matter he will do anything he will use all of the powers of his office this including the investigative powers of the United States Attorney General and the Justice Department whatever he can get his hands on he will use it to dirty up his political opponent in twenty twenty and that is why impeachment let me ask you this question though do you think impeachment will stop him from doing it again. Perhaps not perhaps not basically all it is you know it will sort of be flashing red light for everyone because it'll be in the news so that it's like everyone be aware that the next time you hear something shady about one of trump's opponents now you know that he probably you know he probably called on someone to find that smear find that dirt right like it at least all it does is it exposes exposes trump's motives methods and shines a light on what he's doing to try to dirty up his political opponents so in some way in look it might not stop trump but there's probably enough people and enough foreign governments who will if he's being impeached for this..

"This quote came over presumably that came over from the White House so so what's in there and I know you don't want to talk about the contents because a a lot of it as you said his debunk conspiracy theories but my sense is from the tweets of Rudy Giuliani the tweets have done junior and the reporting of if you can call it that John Solomon at the hill bill there's a whole right wing narrative about this sort of Ukrainian efforts to entrap the president and to block him in the include the former ambassador to Ukraine Murray Marie Ivanovich is she the subject of the kind of scurrilous Innuendo in the packet it yes I would say that ambassador. Maria Ivanovich was a principal target of it. I think Hunter Biden Joe Biden are also the targets of it so it basically stitches together the entire right wing conspiracy theory meant to debunk the mullahs report and the idea that that there was a a comprehensive in sweeping and systematic campaign by the Russians -tainer fear in our election. You know in terms of just trying to keep all of this clear. It's an absolute distraction from what actually happened here. which was the president shaking down Ukraine for a smear on on the Biden's and then covering that whole thing up and betraying our values and the process but it is interesting? It's kind of this subsidiary story of the propaganda campaign meant to derailed told the truth from coming out and it is curious how involved secretary of State Pompeo may or may not have been in that here. Here's where the to link up to me. The ambassador to Ukraine Ukraine Ivanovich was actually called after coming in for criticism from Giuliani and from these sort of right wing voices and there's a question there to Pompeo do do that and was that done because she was not cooperating with the shadow foreign policy being run by Giuliani with the president's approval to coerce Ukraine into digging up turn on Joe but and I'll add to that the documents that we saw apparently surfaced at the Department of State at the end of April or early May about a week Kerr ten days before she was recalled from her job so that would support your theory that there was all part of a propaganda hit on the ambassador to get her out of the way so they could use the State Department. US Embassy over there for their own purposes which were the political purposes of the president. I should say as close the loop on this. I think Rudy Giuliani has now told CNN that he gave those documents you mentioned they looked like the Guiliani tells Michael Warren that he provided state some of the docs state G. gave to Congress Day so your guest in the beginning of the segment that this kind of thing Giuliani was circulating was a good guess. It looks like he in fact was doing that congressman yeah it was completely congruent with everything that Giuliani now he's been saying so if it wasn't Guiliani somebody was plagiarizing Congressman Jamie Raskin. Thank you very much ahead brand new reporting tonight that Donald Trump used his vice president in his efforts to shake down the Ukrainian president but we know about what Mike Pence new next doc I think you should ask for. Vp Pence's conversation because he had a couple of conversations nations are so I could save you a lot of time there all perfect nothing was mentioned of any import other than congratulations like Mike Pompeo Bill Bar and of course donald trump the vice president United States. Mike Pence is absolutely up to his eyeballs in this scandal it somehow he hasn't exactly been making the rounds. We know that pence was something of a point point person in communicating with Ukrainian presence Linski. He's acknowledged that during an in person meeting last month he discussed quote unquote corruption with the Leninsky which has been trump's codeword for investigating the Biden's according the whistleblower complaint as trump was pressuring Ukraine he made it to his political dirty work trump instructed pens to cancel his plan travel to Ukraine craned attends Lindsay's inauguration now the Washington Post tonight citing current and former us. US officials reports this truck repeatedly involved pets in efforts to exert pressure pressure on leader of Ukraine and use pens tells Alinsky the US aid was still being withheld while demanding more aggressive action on corruption plus according warning the post one of pence's top advisors on the July twenty fifth call with Ukrainian president. I'm joined now by McKay COPPINS staff writer written extensively about the vice president including the profile God's plan for Mike Pence which is maybe what we're seeing come to fruit here what are people on Capitol Hill Republican circles and the VP circle L. saying about Donald trump absolutely doing his best to pull Mike Pence's into this whole scandal well. It's interesting. I spoke to a senior Republican senator this week. WHO said you know it is always been the case for the vast majority of Republican senators that if they could magically snap their fingers and make vice ace president Mike Pence President Mike Pence and get rid of Donald Trump they would do it right of course that option has not been available to them and they will be a certain political realities they'd have to deal with namely the severe blow back from trump's base but you know I it has always been the case that on Capitol Hill L. and throughout the Republican Party Mike Pence is seen as a safer figure? Somebody who's been on their team for a longer time. Somebody who's more politically aligned with and that dynamic is is kind of the backdrop to this whole impeachment battle that we're seeing come because the vice presidency agency in any kind of White House that's under siege is always a radioactive subject right but especially when impeachment is being raised the the relationship kinship between the president and vice president becomes a lot more tense a lot more high stakes and you see trump now polling vice president pence into the the story in what seems like a very deliberate attempt to remind Republicans that you know I'm not going to go down low and if you guys decide to abandon not only the story story after the fact but in reading into the fabric of the actual impeachable offenses so you have a staffer who's on the call you have pence it goes in taxes Alinsky and the Washington Post reporting that that call would have almost certainly been in his briefing book and then pence is the one who delivers he actually delivers the explicit pro. Quo Pence is the one who says the aid is being held up until you crack down on corruption which at that point Celeski knows exactly what he's talking about because you already talked to the president. I have to say though that Washington Post story is really fascinating both for the tax which you just laid out this idea that pence is you know I it was involved wittingly or unwittingly in this effort to Ukrainian government but also for the subtext. There's a really fascinating political subtext to this story which is that. I don't know who these reporter I spoke to reporters. I have no question to reason to question the story. What's interesting is they? They it seems that they spoke to two different camps. US officials because they quote officials officials close to pence who are insisting anonymously but insisting to the Washington Post that pens did not know that he was being that trump was trying to to investigate Joe Biden. They didn't know what was actually going on here and then you have other officials say that's absurd. Of course he would have known for all the reasons you just just laid out but what the the subtext is that there seems to be at least some rift between a a pen sloyal camp and a trump loyal camp and and doubt ripped might just be small and it might be on the margins but that could become very important in the weeks and months. I read the article the exact same way you did which is their sources on both both sides and the pens people being like well. He didn't eat his briefing book and of course he didn't know and on the other side like well it was in the briefing book and he probably staffer was on the call and he delivered the message Alinsky and he's is up news years so good luck with that okay coppins. Thanks for being with me. Thanks still ahead. The president's barbaric border wall machinations reporter checked down the story ahead plus feelings president held hostage during a grown man temper tantrum. That's tonight's thing one thing to what you do not WanNa miss starting next don't thing once night president trump and the president of Finland have a bit of a complicated relationship. We got our first window to window into that relationship last November. When trump made these infamous comments following the devastating wildfires in California take care of the floors you know the Florida's of the forest very important you look at other countries where they do it differently and and it's a whole different story was with the president of Finland and he said we have a much different? We're far the station he called it a forest nation and they spent a Lotta time raking and cleaning and doing things and they don't have any problem what it is. It's a very small problem. Everybody's looking at that. nope no one no one was looking at that. The president was roundly mocked for that in both this country triomphant Linda where fans took their rakes even vacuums out to the forest to troll him. The finish president denied ever even having a discussion with trump about raking before us so when the President President Finland arrived at the White House today for a visit. We're expecting things might get a little awkward. Ask this gentleman a question. Don't be rude. Ask the President of Finland question. Please okay that was a long day at the White House the president and that's due in sixty seconds so many world leaders had to sit awkwardly next to president trump is he's railed against the gathered media for one thing or another today was the president of Finland Oakland got to visit on the day that trump's whole world was coming apart shifty here for nothing. He's a shifty dishonest sky. There's an expression. He couldn't carry his blank strap. I won't say it because so say was so terrible to say but that guy couldn't carry his blank strap. You understand understand that I think we understand thank so the body language. The Finnish president was a sight to behold as branded raved and then went in for me touch no no Oh thank you take your tiny hands off me. A photo op dragged on the Finnish president's disconcerted looks prompted comparisons to Jim from the office later in the afternoon the two presents since moved to the East Room for joint press conference and things did not get any better. Somebody who's really nice. No yellow really nice person listen. I think they're all nice in Finland five President Minister because this is the biggest issue here at the moment. I have to ask what kind of favors has Mr Trump asked from you or the other way around you would favor. I ask where both ways okay so all probably not quite what he expected from his White House visit but he did leave us with some words of wisdom before the day was over did did you hear crate democracies going on Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is recovering in a Las Vegas hospital this evening after had any non surgical procedure to have to stent successfully successfully inserted to open a blocked artery is conversing and in good spirits during the campaign. There's hours ago tweeted out. None of us know a medical emergency might affect US and no one should fear going bankrupt. If it occurs Medicare for all the seventy year old sanders expected to be off the trail for just the coming few days. His campaign says they are canceling several events until further notice. It's worth noting here just how grindingly fatigue the schedule of most presidential candidates is including Bernie Sanders up to ten events day. Sometimes Sanders for instance was in Vegas for our own. MSNBC FORM on gun violence where candidates offered their policy visions two years after the deadliest Lia's mass shooting in postwar America which killed fifty eight people and injured hundreds of others now the next big campaign event is a debate on October fifteenth which will officially feature twelve Democrats on the stage. It's a lot Tulsi Gabbard and Tom Star have now qualify for that debate right now. The pulling landscape looks fairly similar to what it has been end Biden Warren Sanders at the top Biden Holding Fairly steady warren making significant gains in fact in the latest national opinion poll from Monmouth University. We're actually lead the Democratic primary field by three points nationally followed by Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders still at this early stage voters have plenty of time to decide the Iowa caucus the first contest still four months away as of tonight. Multiple outlets have now confirmed reporting New York Times yesterday that was part of a new forthcoming book about the President and immigration the key parts of the story are the presence discussion discussion of a insane wall system with quote a water filled trench stocked with snakes or alligators the president urging American border patrol agents to commit atrocities such just shooting migrants in the legs also was broken first by Jake Tapper. CNN and subsequently confirmed the President Instructing Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McLean to break break the law offering him apart in exchange today the president along and typically unhinged rant attempts to deny story by attacking the paper he thought published the Washington Post..

"We're discussing Bernie Sanders and the fact that we know no he had to stand in and they say you know they know this is the second time during the campaign that he is facing some health problems never he's lost his voice never he had his head hit the fan at Johns head in city cut is has a shower number he gets the stitches on his head those that the that going on to everyone has trouble with showers Terry reed claims that is exercise band was on a shower door and snapped and. shower door would not use the handle of a shower door I guess as he was claiming to that you've well that's just dumb maybe his brothers Festus called shower door. when in Sanders case according to to a an article here in it when doctors inserted spent the first instance it put a thread a tiny balloon inside a blocked artery to widen it yeah I have sentences some small hiker measures to stop it that is that is propped inside to keep the artery open and the number sense needed depends on the size of the clog and they say what happens is it immediately improve symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath and so you immediately feel better a monster could with medication to prevent the artery from closing you could use the blown I brush my hair with take that as my life I know. but we're is give the should be considered is this something that should be considered as a something that way when you're talking about being able when you are considering candidate you know and especially the armchair quarterbacks on television and my feeling is is Hey the the armchair quarterback trouble the time these doctor left because he dared to give a press conference saying yeah he's in he's in fine shape tax so much as like Alfa Ronnie Jackson yeah he said that's it and and they took the armchair quarterback as mental health all the time personally I just don't think that's something that anyone should be on television doing but if you're not the person's physician you shouldn't be doing that. eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five jacking gave this bird Jack good morning. good morning the both of you as for the question of whether some of his health should be considered when we can present I would think that yeah you have to be in them it has been the voter's mind I know in past history some presents are present Roosevelt within such a bad health back in his back in a day that when he went to yelp there was rumors that they Russians took advantage of the fact that he was no none the best to help and not thinking probably at the top of his game so you have to wonder. you know forget about the tax returns of so let's look at the medical records. yes you will Bernie had said member he said he was going to releases his medical records and he was going to release you know taxes and all that kind of stuff as he got closer to it because he understands that his health is something that people are worried about. right and yeah and and Bernie look it's just you can't get past it and you gotta wonder just in the here's the here's one of the things you think about how like kind of it the cynical part your brains like what was with weren't thinking of all this. like of course you know I don't think she thinks L. for any of our opponents now but she soon they're gone boy the deck really is clear from isn't it yeah but Bernie Sanders collapsing it just having a heart problem and then you know Joe Biden who she's already starting to collapse and beat in and these new are these new polls having health problems on stage sheet but she's feeling pretty good right now like wow I'm well positioned yeah get ready to be president of the United States probably in our little head. I did you see the president yesterday saying look binds the one that you know that I would say he was the he was the formidable opponent but here he was talking about that yesterday when he was having a press conference. with the president Finland shore. let's go to bill Stafford bill good morning. good morning. mmhm yeah I think we all should be a big issue I mean the Democrats start. the cover of JFK's health problems you know Roosevelt solve problems. I think the the I one thing may be a coincidence the Bernie Sanders campaign may. realizes love he analyst reform are from states that border New Hampshire he may be shifting money to New Hampshire. him in one of battling out there right now and well it comes out where the winner could have some momentum yeah and I'll send a big message I mean whoever of those to whichever one wins New Hampshire that'll go to show you like Hey that region of the country likes that person better and they know them the best and that's where they see that competition that's I mean no you're right it could very well just be coincidence that they work stop that they were cutting off ad spending but it sounds like they've committed to some ad spending that they're shuffling away from Iowa. no to the question that you ask me it's the question about whether this is something that should be considered when when looking at a candidate health yes your health remember Hillary Clinton had to take time off from campaigning in twenty sixteen after she was treated for pneumonia. right when. she didn't want did not win in two thousand former New Jersey senator bill Bradley who is the leading democratic challenger to vice president Al Gore he was a he was a provides president at the time he had to cut short his campaigning for treatment of a fib which is an irregular heartbeat is treatable potentially serious. bill Bradley with. did he please Jones I love this game but I'm not sure do you think those are the two the reasons well I don't know I just think you know what Hillary's health definitely became part of what people were talking about with some questions regarding Hillary to your point when she passed out of the nine eleven thing in art and she became stiff as a board and they've they've picked her up and just littering the car and they love to ship on the streets of I got to go get it and there was that it looked like she was wearing a brace of some kind so the people were questioning her health it's hard to say that you have fitness for office if you don't have fitness for walking across the parking lot. you know I mean that in a day assesses like that could be a problem she felt member the falling yeah you know she is so so there was all of that so I do think it is something that people consider and I think it's something you should consider on the other hand I don't think we should have the right to just you know Paul three your medical records you know and see what see what you got going on how do you think Hillary resents more Donald Trump or staircases. I'm gonna go with president trump okay. five twenty three at WMAL the main issue for gas for that big SUV I pay less with gas and everyone else I got the free get up so I guess that begin to twenty five cents a gallon cans back every time I buy get. you get up to twenty five cents off per gallon with the free gifts I gas up while I'm pay full price you know we people aren't over a million dollars last year you just got to take a picture of your gas receipt and bring him.

"Watch I got a plan that you got to find it so the infected it's a meme going around says trumps me to moment he reaches over the it's a the the president Finland is a guy named Sally Anne so I'm butcher and that I'm sure and that his system is to present you have a great democracy keep it going on and and a one point trump creatures in Texas is like any hearsay here can seem like he goes to swap his hand away from his leg oh wow is a do not to me yeah you know I mean it's just such a cluster bomb some by the judge had on the phone earlier when did he hung up but I want it I was complaining about bias in the coverage of this let me just explain to you something okay the truth is not bias okay in here the everything I do not like it yeah you may not like what I'm telling you what the prosecutor that was fired that Biden wanted fired in Ukraine was someone everybody wanted fired he was scoring of the country he was corrupt. he was in investigating Joe Biden or hunter Biden or anybody else that's why they want him fired. there's there's nothing that hunter Biden did that anybody has any scrutiny to I've been listening to reporters from all across everybody but fox politic from vox the politico to CNN The Washington Post The New York Times they all want to look at this thing and you know how long it took them to sit there and go there's no story to ten minutes they they read everything they could like there's no there's no story here. I am Rudy guiliani is bold faced warring on the steel anyway arm but see what they count on and I'm not don't get don't kill the messenger here they're counting on your stupid and laziness. right they're counting on people not getting it not getting it not only a bit simple we don't need to get all into it we really don't need to get into the hunter. the prosecutor was fired everybody wanted fired of France England Germany anybody doing business with Ukraine wanted him gone. and then of course today you know I mean putting joking around I will go back a little bit here the reason why bar met with foreign intelligence agencies to spy on the FBI to try to come up with dirt the FBI didn't really know what they were talking about when they said to Russia hacked this you're still carrying an trumps water trying to make it seem like Russia didn't hack us. everybody recognizes this every country in the world and all of our intelligence agencies. I don't understand you. it is a trump supporter out there I don't understand. I understand your loyalty but not your laziness. I'm I I I I do on a on a kind of a weird way upper I I definitely appreciate and respect loyalty. but at some point you just go away. two that's my question right are you loyal to is it to your country or to your political party if it's your political party then you're never going to call out people that are doing wrong that's what I have a problem yeah I mean and and these these Republicans these Republicans are shameful I mean McCarthy was out today again propagating lies now they're saying that Ukraine was helping Hillary in that at twenty sixteen election first of all she's not even running for anything anymore why are you still talking about Hillary and Obama because it gets people riled works for them there you go anyway so did you see it yet have you seen the head of the army was like kind of like yeah. it doesn't look like he was gonna like put his hand on top of it that's for sure I don't know man so here's the thing right president trump argues that he couldn't possibly be guilty of anything because it's kind to Connie is so great we hear that all the time you want the fax this is from CBS marketwatch okay I mean not CBS I'm sorry market watch is from the Wall Street journal marketwatch columnist a rex nodding. kind of famous if you follow economic journalism. he says that whatever happened about whatever him to the post the US economy will be able to grow not only three percent by four five six percent per year. the latest figures show the economy expanded two point three percent in the past year exactly the pace of the last ten years. exactly the pace that Obama had a going since the Great Recession ended with prospects for even slower growth ahead. like so many of trump's promises. his hopes and dreams have collided head on with reality. I mean he's not the first well he's not the first to lie about anyone in the call line he's not the first person to really what's a good way to put it the first person to boast about economic numbers and have them fall short well let me because sometimes you could read the numbers a bunch of different once you know you can either at different times and Malik what is a real problem that weren't we're not having the kind of economic growth and I mean this is kind of complicated but it's not so let me just try explain so in order to get four percent economic growth we have to add about fifteen million people to the to the job when I send but we have to enter two million workers each year you say why so many because the baby boomers are retiring big numbers it was called boomers for reason there are a lot of him. baby boomers retiring we need about fifteen million people per year. guess what we got him guess where they come from one word immigration yep. that's where they're gonna come from they're not good we're not just going to manufacture the matter Nebraska. we need fifteen million people a year to sustain a four percent growth that's one of the reasons why we're not getting it. I mean and obviously you know the demand for products right now consumer confidence is still high you know you saw the Dow dropped and everything the reason the draft the Dow takes is huge it is October the crappy my for Wall Street always was eighty seven crash was in October they've been Big Bird big dips in October the thing to remember is that in order for the economy to grow we have two thirds of the economy's consumer demand. as long as they're still buying things along this is still have jobs as long as you feel confident about the future we're okay. they're the ones driving it economic investment is down that's a third of the economy and that should have people concerned but again let's go back to the one thing that I just don't understand and neither is any economist with a ways over fifty pounds I'm. and that is why is inflation still below two percent with all these people by and stuff and and some and and you know set wages not but here's the deal the last year has been flat. so people are fine like the dead consumer confidence may be high but you're seeing sales are slow and heading into the fourth quarter it's gonna be it's gonna be big I mean it's gonna it's a lot of this is going to depend on how trump backs and how your exports China how we freaks out I am whether not is removed from office. there was a weird story today if trump were removed from office. and the Senate convicted. could you run again in twenty twenty. well yeah I would assume so I don't know if the I don't know that I looked in the constitution I couldn't find anything so I mean a little is a couple days ago are going down the rabbit hole like if he's impeached right and then pens can pardon him no Penske and can pardon him and no no there is I have to resign first if you have to connect and he was removed from office right if he was enough impeach him impeached means nothing except if you are convicted of these because he's out of office right right and then pens pardon Jim right and then pens can name and then some pens because president yeah and then the president names as a vice president in charge because his eyes were they in that defense resigns and the drums president again yep well you have to do personally I there's no time for all of the vice president he just get the name there's a I think I think it's a law that the president gets an invoice now now I remember when I remember when they you can check it out I could be wrong I looked it up by that I mean I remember I remember when when a Gerald Ford was named vice president I thought there was a vote headline news like I am not for sure not gonna do that pass is not. he's weak he's not corrupt I don't think it was in a maximum well I mean that I know that his wife it seems like the real deal and she seems like she has a big influence on him she's yeah they're both very very religious and she seems to walk the walk I have confidence that she is the thing that keeps him on the rails like in most marriages but anyway so I just back to the whole thing it seems like a million years ago back in twenty seventeen went from sign the tax cut jobs act Republicans were flying high is that the tax cut it accomplishes the significant legislative victory and was our top priority they celebrated economy this it's gonna sore in a sword for a little bit for a little while but real gross domestic product growth hit three point five percent and and about a year and a half ago in a scene from home to some Republicans that trump in a company might have been correct about a cut in the about the impact of these tax cuts would have but it was so short live. when the reality hit growth throttle back to two point nine percent and then the one point one percent since the tax cut growth as average two point five percent about the same as a two point six recording the six quarters before the tax cut was passed the test could doesn't help anybody listening to me right now unless the people in you know was a really rich yeah lets the people in Pacific heights and no. some of the moral posh areas of the store in Silicon Valley are listening they it's not helping anybody more that great economies gone it was like it was a two quarter economy and that in those tax cuts again when you talk about the economy I think a big part of that was just people spent because they thought they were gonna get returns right you know they thought I can spend that we're gonna get a tax return. I'm do you know what you're gonna get back when you file your taxes I never get anything back what he talking about okay I get I get some I get some back because I over pay I'm very conservative about you know all that stuff so you know I'd rather it's not much but I get I get you know I get nothing now get not saying that nothing anyway so those are the big stories obviously you know I wanted to talk about tech economic lie the. it is I know there's a couple other really weird stories we're gonna get to just a minute I'll come up coming up at four o'clock today Robert Kuttner is going to join us he is the author of a the stakes twenty twenty is survival of American democracy we're talking a lot about but Biden's campaign and the big story that we have any brought up today is Bernie Sanders now this but this wasn't a heart attack they reported it as a heart attack he was a heart issue any got stints plans to sense but AS sense and that's he did have a heart attack I saw I search somebody report that it was it was a scare but well it was a hard procedure that was he didn't. apparently it a blocked artery not that I know a lot of people have had this my brother in law who's fifty had this done you know so this is you know you get symptoms I'm going to check in to guard the blocked artery that it is right now they put you down at the check out they do it I think they cut you think they go up through your I have no idea hi I well I'm I'm not real yeah I I don't I I know they don't like ribs Freddie I mean that's a I I was I saw parts are you want the Johns Hopkins we have to get up top you know it was it was a film crew when they break the ribs it sounds like. now mandolin and I'll be here see the the Seinfeld where they thought they dropped it you should be and went inside the person. no I'm serious you can see it now anyway. you can hear Sara Sam Sanders campaign I said he had a heart procedure for blocked artery in was canceling the Vance and of further notice the seventy eight real Sanders was taken to a hospital Vegas he had some chest discomfort during a campaign event yesterday and sought medical evaluation stands for successfully inserted.

"It. it it just it stop Chicago in its tracks for a couple of days it was being investigated because you do have the pregnant girlfriend of Sean Gayle murder firstly this woman murdered up within our short opening upper front door and then got down and right right and with multiple gunshot wounds. transitive us here what was that about then I was that it was tied to Sean Gayle and then did you Sean Gayle but was brought in arrested and detained or taken into custody and question for days and that what's going to happen here and then all the sudden the attention turned to Marnie hang who was his is a strong yells other estranged girlfriend. and there was then that story became very bizarre very played out a lot of different ways because she had at one point gone to a to a diner and talk to a friend of hers Marnie did and basically made a confession to a friend that was used as a way to pressure her into pleading guilty to the to the murder even at one point seemed to be targeting hit one of her children for carrying it out on her behalf and he says he felt pressure. yes for kids sixteen at the time. so now. ms Yang's attorney she's it she's in prison right now he's been in prison for the last decade. she. her attorneys again tree Jed stone when pressed comes today and says it that read that recording from back then in which she sang said she planned to make a story up there was ever when she went to the diner and she told the story right before that there was a phone call it was recorded in which she says that she was going to go make up. this story so that would take the pressure off other people in our family one is a tape where Marnie says to passion I'm just going to make it up in the other is a tape where passion leaves the table of Danny's goes into presumably a bathroom or a private place and says to her handlers I think he saw the wire money did see the wire she knew the Christie was wearing a wire so we know that she said she was going to make it up and we know that she knew the Christie was wearing a wire the problem is the jury did not. nobody bothered to tell the jury that this confession was made up nobody bothered to tell the jury that she knew that she was being wired. yeah I wanna make a correction there because they did say that she pleaded guilty she didn't know was actually a trial she was found guilty of there was yeah and it was her son who at that point look like he might be facing some sort of charges and that she was trying to protect him right that he was getting pressure from investigators to confess and he was sixteen and this went down a bad path so she was trying to I guess her attorney saying she was trying to help him by confessing to this friend problem is that prosecutors apparently didn't turn this over to the defense under rules of evidence of that kind of thing in the court proceedings I think that's a question why not. all right we'll see if they get another day in court here but that's been bringing up the story obviously from more than a decade ago and then the question is if it will it if there weren't and you know a review of the S. and Marty Yang were. found to be not guilty in some way shape or form Herbie are there the it being referred the whole case you're being reverse then who did it. request right and then what do you do do you go after the sun because it doesn't it the the idea of a random attack is a very unlikely the one the other piece of evidence of the attorneys are using here too is that Marty did own a nine millimeter pistol but that pistol according to a police report had been stolen months before. her her registered pistol. I mean you can't get another pistol is mad denounce still unfounded never recovered that. the details in this yeah it is it's not. eight eight bring the solving backup but might be a new trial so it may be front and center pretty soon. checking in at number four well it was interesting day Washington. it was. the president was unleashed. during a White House appearance today he was asked whether he deems his enemies to be treasonous and while answering he blasted house intelligence Rep Adam Schiff calling for his resignation this is a fraudulent crime on the American people about will work together we shift to shift and Pelosi at all of them and we'll see what happens because we did absolutely I had a great call with the president of Ukraine was a hundred percent you have the transcript and then shift one up and you got as the chairman of the committee got up and related to call that didn't take place he made up the language I hard to believe nobody's ever say this I think you have some kind of a mental breakdown. it was a bit total mistake by AM shift to do any debt I gotta say it's one of the in in a in a moment where you're gonna impeach president as states you better be you up on your game with a fax I is dotted tease crossed right for sure and he was and he he got reckless which was incredibly stupid he went up to a microphone at the front of the American people and in Congress he won out and he he gave a whole presentation of words that the president of the United States never said it has to be a criminal act it has to be and he should resign and some people even said was treason. so he goes out and that could see what Adam Schiff did is he gave the president an opening to change the conversation from did you try to create a nexus between the money that you crane was gonna get to the masses for their own defense and doing this favor looking to Joe Biden's son. and that would be it that would be the issue to be issues that even many Republicans on Capitol Hill agree would be the wrong thing for the president to do but now that is in the conversation anymore because Adam Schiff made that incredibly stupid mistake but in the meantime there is there there's more activity up on Capitol Hill today and the the in Tel Aviv. I. G.. for the state department inspector general for the state department when I'm and dropped off a forty page document. and it's still unclear based on the reporting as it sits right now. where the document came from. but it is forty pages of an explanation as to what it is that the president and Rudy Giuliani or trying to prove here. they are on a mission to prove that the Russia investigation was started by the Democrats in twenty sixteen they believe the Biden's were behind it. and that the buy it did the vines are are are cricket is the president said also today and that this was a the the whole thing was a hoax designed to take him out and he's going to and a presence at in the same press conference and there was the president of Finland standing next to there's always you didn't have much to say there's always one guy standin there at these things right there's a there's some for later who's like all my god and you think the all the four leaders get together like a call the other foreign leaders you do like the next one out rates and they're like they're they're like what it would be going to do as they get it I don't know what to do what do you do were you doing this is your here you go to the call the last guy to preserve a village gonna get a call from the next guy who's going to be there like I will be doing a situation what we do the prices they're straight man look in the mirror just to cut and not show any emotion right when it started the fact the president said well look look AT ME gesture to the president Finland look at all these men the media here do you see how many people showed up today and he said something they're not here for me. they really weren't they have very few questions right as it turned out for the president of Finland yeah all the questions were for the president yes it's an interesting you to watch if you want to see it. really is. totally and when you're more and he just wants any did get a little the present. he called the the. use the B. S. word in fall today than. now the social sound all right we'll get your three or two in your one but first let's check in with Kim was coming of the bottom of the hour row of the special prosecutor in the Jesse small let case remain on the job will bring you the latest coming up crashes.

"Going to get paid like want because that's what free agency is all about. And the kingdom is a free agent. Age eight McCarron of course, because the late ruling as of region, you've got guys like Rosen in the draft with so much thinking lately the young quarterbacks go with them, You you roll though. Dice with them. What are these rookies fit into the whole matrix of work quarterbacks being looked at right now? It depends upon wear your team is if I'm the Arizona Cardinals, for example, with a really good defense and an ageing offense. My windows only open for a certain period of time. I may be looking for a veteran, a guy who can come in and play right away and helped me win from the New York Jets with a pretty good defense. Not quite there offensively. They don't have a great number one receiver. I don't know if I'd spend all the money in the world on a on a veteran quarterback, if I'm up in the top five in the draft till odds are pretty good that you're gonna sit there and and and take a quarterback war in Indianapolis his case, perhaps trade out for a big payday in terms of draft choices. So just depends upon what your situation is. We give you fifteen seconds to answer the Internet. This thing that's out there and Twitter, this Twitter, my sheet Lamar, Jackson, quarterback. I don't. To see him as a quarterback, I think he's sold dynamic that you want them as a wide receiver. I think he contributes more as a wide receiver. Then he would as a quarterback whose learning his craft in the NFL. If he wants to play quarterback, God bless them. Be might get started a bit of a conversation on this, But that's it between now and drafty. That's what it's all about. Good to see all the favorite Bill Polian CNN, F L lied now things NBA team courgeous recently did that in a huddle allow a couple of players to drop plays, and some people felt like it was a disrespect to the opponent. Guys got a point compete. So, um, I think is more disrespect for a debate on make a drone person. No, perpetual lottery. Two years should be worried about that sort of stuff, right? But it if you do feel disrespected that's cool. New right to do that. We use that as motivation come back and and beat him the next time. I was All-Star weekend Jalen Rose with Kobe, ask a question, get an answer. Good to see it. Good. Have to see you also, What did you think when curse said, Go ahead. Guys. It round the team. If you're a member of the Golden State Warriors a fan of, there's somebody this in their front office. This great things are terrific for our franchise who went to at last week champioships the year we didn't, we want 73 gays, all we guy, Kevin Durant. We're Fillon ourselves a little bit, But if you everybody else, Bob, That is a level of disrespect about away way. I like it. I appreciate it. He did, right? It was February rightly January dog days. The tuna me out. Shake him up. But also He's shaking them up against a team that he used to work with. Phoenix Suns. So they didn't necessarily break up on. Mature responsible respectable turns There was a little friction with the Left Phoenix, So wasn't just a coincidence. Did it happen? Especially against Phoenix Suns Mark Cuban talk in the other day saying, you know, talk some my people, We had dinner and were not in the run for the playoffs owed page to lose again, didn't use the tea work Changkeng. They tried to fix it, but still the three bottom teams now have the same shot at number one. Have they fixed it or is it still they have they spread the incentive out even further. There's they spread it out a little bit further, but not enough to sway teams that understand that this is gonna be a deep draft. And because it's going to take place where you could probably get five franchised changing players this year. It's almost worth it for those teams to do such a How about a player like dirt displayed his entire career. There has to deal with these dog days of a team recall as one of the best coaches in the league, Bob. So to see these two guys with this situation less, We know that must be a wink wink deal for. Dirk, to be a part owner one, there has to be not to mention the Look. I mean, Adam Silvio saying, Wait a minute that we went through this, but we fix this and they're they go away. Also team say this one A lot of the moves that they get didn't transpired away. They thought Like when they signed Harrison Barnes when a sign Wesley Matthews, that one because they wanted to take it just realized they didn't go to the next level. I want to step off the court. You're an educator in that you have established a charter school in Detroit. It's How many years where Financial two thousand an eleven We'll be seen. Yeah, All right. You have a school, you have a responsibility. What is going through your mind as you watched Parkland this past week in Florida and the concerns you always have just by opening a school have got to be exacerbated by these school shooting. Absolutely Bob is devastating Because you have a dual responsibility as a school and as a learning institution. Number one obviously is to educate the scholars that are in your build. Number two is create a safe, healthy learning environment and accused that we serve. It's a unique dynamic because when they come, the school got the decompressed them all of the things that are happening in our lives that they see on social media things that they see on the television that these two here on the radio. So it takes time for them. The decompress actually just want to be in a position where they can learn. And so now you add this element of safety, which is tricky because we are in a violent neighborhood as it comes. So it's one thing to have fired Israel's. It's another theme have drills because of tragedy may take place. You have the because. Yes, because so many tragedies have taken place across the country. And lastly, on that topic, I've seen a common denominator.
