"The proof is in the Pennzoil based on sequence for a wear tests using S E five W. 30 Jordan the N B. A playoffs lineup is all set in stone. We will get to see those games starting Monday, but A little bit of excitement today. With the play in games. We're not going to get any tomorrow and I'm going to be honest, I feel a little disappointed by that. But what we did see today was another incredible game and another. A stellar performance from Damian Lillard. And 154 points in three games for him, Jordan he is the bubble M V. P. Was there any doubt in your mind that he was going to win that MVP award? You know how that that team? I mean, date, Lord, I've been telling people quite simply Kelsey when I'm talking about being able to turn on to right now with where we are in a bubble, and now we're moving into the playoffs. Now it gets really, really. If you're telling me I got to tune in and watch one person. A lot of people gravitate towards LeBron James and I might say that in terms of, you know, I want to see if he can put it together that another special postseason get that title is in a Laker uniforms. But if you're talking about just the all factor right now, somebody's going to entertain you for full for full 4/4. I'm going with Dame. Damn has been that person for the minute they arrived in that bubble in Orlando. He's been that guy in the Blazers jersey. So for people who are just now seeing it because they've gravitated towards his sport with the offering of afternoon games, and all that you have missing out this is from this guy isn't old. By the way he has no intention of leaving Portland. He wants to win in that market scene look no further than the beef he had with those Clippers when he called them. Jumps for him to go to a team to get it done. He's a throwback guy, but he's an assassin on the court. He is ruthless in his approach, and it was really fun to see the guys around him. Lift him up A look. The guy still went for over 30 today. But he got those performances from nark it she got the clutch performances from Melo. Obviously, CJ McCollum carried him as he took the rookie job, Moran to school defensively as he made some big time shots down the stretch. The Blazers put it together. Most importantly now they get a day of rest. They're going to need that day of rest before they take off. These Lakers start become in Vogue. That these Blazers could be disruptive in this matchup, Jordan I was going to say the good news is if hey, you're looking to see LeBron and then you are also looking to see what dames doing. Guess what? You're going to get to see that you don't have to pick on Tuesday that that game Tuesday night at nine o'clock, Jordan, the other thing is you're talking about rest, right? And a team that is getting a lot of more rest and they want right now is the pelicans just win two games in the N B, a restart and some big news out of New Orleans today as they have fired Alvin Gentry after his five seasons there, just one postseason appearance, one playoff win for him and his time there and had still one year left on his contract. Jordan the pelicans, even though they on Ly one those two games they're executive VP David Griffin said. Even if they had a better showing, it would have necessarily saved Gentry's job. Obviously, a ton of young talent on that team and everybody's looking not even just at Zion, but also Brandon Ingram and wondering how you shape and mold Zion and where this franchise goes from here. And when you see the decision they made today to go ahead and move on from Alan. Gentry and look to what's next. When you think about what this team and what? What they need next to help mold this young talent. What stands out to you? The most. What stands out to me is it's new management. David Griffin was going to come in here and make a David Griffin moving put his stamp on this organization haven't come in there in April of last last year in 2019 is the executive vice president basketball operations. I think that this was a decision that had been made before they got into the bubble. Look, Zion's minutes. We're going to be managed in that bubble, so they couldn't really make the push that they wanted to do. And the management of Zion is probably mutually exclusive from the idea of this playoff push being of importance, but Griffin came out and said It was not if you're gonna play Zion under no minutes restriction and really make a play there that maybe they're trying to see, in fact of Gentry has some mojo in him to do something special and save his job. That was not the case and so to me. I didn't look for you. Obviously, it starts and ends with Zion and getting his body right getting this guy to a place where you can Showcase him like he wanted to do what you've drafted him. There's been so many steps and obstacles that presented themselves Kobe. Just the.

"So Kevin. In spite of being blown out the other day in Boston the Lakers are still the number one seed in the West and everything is sunshine and rapes around the staple center but a year ago. It felt like there was a storm cloud hanging over the franchise. I had magic Johnson. President Basketball Operations nations stepping down team fired their head coach. Luke Walton and then they chose Frank Vogel as his replacement awesome and there was a perception around here in Los Angeles that it was a pretty uninspired choice right in some ways frank. Vogel is the Ultimate Safety School. So for the Los Angeles Lakers Kevin Arnovitz is an NBA insider for ESPN. They went after Monty Williams former player who has immense amount of respect but at the end of the day he got a much more appealing offer from the Phoenix Suns. Tai Lue was a top choice. Lebron's former coach NBA Championship. Cleveland Cavaliers in two thousand sixteen. And what are the Lakers. Do they offer him a contract that I think it's fair to say was. Maybe not befitting a championship coach. There's sort of a standard now for for what a NBA coach gets in terms of the years in terms of money and this particular contract offer fell far short of that to the point where I think the public certainly the perception within the League was here of the Lakers doing it again. They think they're the Lakers. They have this golden or around them they can just offer championship. Coach is his deals. That don't reflect that pedigree so they don't get money Williams tyler walks not for another job. He just walks and they get Vogel. I used to do a lot of L. A.. Sports Radio and I remember this announcement very vividly. Los Angeles Lakers fans. They were not happy. Happy Kevin in fact they were furious. Vogel I think at the outset was seen as an odd choice for a number of reasons. One one is. The Lakers are the Lakers. And they have traditionally gone after coaches. That are either real brand names or have this royal. LAKER occur bloodline they are part of the Laker family. So here comes Vogel who is coming off. Two year stint in Orlando where he lost twice as many games as he won one could say no fault of his own. It was it was a young mismatch roster of players. But he doesn't have a brand name he looks like an accountant announced he's never played in the NBA before so he doesn't bring with him. The story playing career so for a fan base and a franchise. That's always been very brand obsessed. Why are you getting this off? Brand coach was very much. I think the perception an off Branko. Now I'm imagining frank. Vogel at the Grocery store he's like the generic. I Love Kirkland. I I think that sets up this story very well because you great value. Oh you use the Kirkland of coaches and of course. The Lakers are widely perceived as his ex hyper glamorous NBA franchise in particular with Lebron James. They're going into an off season in which they're going to be trying to get free agents. This is before the trade for Anthony Davis and here comes maybe the least glamorous coach forget fans for a second just people inside the game fifteen choices of who is going to be. The next Lakers head coach. I don't I don't know that Frank Vogel would have been on one ballot. I'm not saying Bogle can't coach Lebron's right that's different. So how did he get start. Frank Vogel got his start by by being a pest he was division three point guard for a genie out of college and he became obsessed with Kentucky basketball when he was at home on winter. Break when you're watching that famous Duke Kentucky lightning later catches He decides I want to be part a big time college basketball. He's going to leave his division three school. He writes letters to the staff at Kentucky including Rick Pitino and they basically send back a form letter. Thank you for your interest. This is in the mid nineties so he decides. I'm just going to drop out of my college enroll at Kentucky. I'm GONNA drive there. Basically without an invitation nation. And I'm just going to hang around the facility. Whatever anything I can do to get inside volunteer? Whatever they need and little by little sure enough he hangs around enough due to the point? Where Jim O'Brien who was assistant to Rick Pitino said Okay Okay? We'll we have the video room. which at the time video rooms have become like the very sexy place to get your start as a coach? Now Erik Spoelstra Mike Putin Holzer Dave Fidel but back then it was still kind of a newish thing and so he just camped out in the video room and essentially became one of the best young video coordinators in all of basketball and to the point when when Pitino went to the Celtics they ultimately brought. Frank Vogel Oh go along with them. And then when O'Brien took over he promoted him again and so little by little. He's sort of the He's the kind of the little engine that could of basketball. So he dollars. O'Brien to Indianapolis. And that's where he gets his first shot as head coach. How does that go right? He gets to the Fr- what we call. The Front of the bench comes a top assistant in an Indiana Under Jim O'Brien O'Brien gets fired and Vogel's the next Guy Up Larry Bird actually ask Joe. Brian looked this. Guy's really loyal to you. Do you think you take the job. and Jim O'Brien profane. Lee said absolutely

"Forget, how close they came to winning it in twenty sixteen. When they really only had at that point one top seven player in the NBA, which was K D. And those are the guys who really make the enormous difference concerned that the USA doesn't have a chemistry advantage over the allotted these teams they gotta make it up by just blowing out of the water until it. And yeah, if you're talking about an NBA game. Sure if you put all these guys on team, Linda practice and stuff to kill Australia, France or who looked like the two biggest contenders. Serbia's always going to be up there, too. So I'm this is not a. Great sign you thought maybe with three years off and the lure of China that some of the bigger guys might be in there. But it's looking like this is the reports of what the team is going to be, so no curry Nola, brawn. No Klay Thompson. No Paul George Nokia. Why? So that's a those, those are the type of guys who obviously give the USA the biggest fans, I know nobody cares about this. I've USA basketball still. But one thing that I actually still root for a fan. So I had to get a little worked up about it. And then have you noticed the Washington Wizards still avid, general manager, and they haven't even interviewed anyone in like over a month? It's bizarre. And he worked two weeks from the draft now. Yes. So and Fred Katz wrote his second piece about this at once they 'cause he made the point. Once they got rejected by Tim Kelly, which came as a great shock to the organization that okay that good a circle back with one of these other candidates that the interviewed and hired him they could have been fine, but they haven't really done that. They've done a few interviews working under. Tommy Sheppard, who's the interim GM Apu was there in the Grunfeld administration, talk now is that they are going to attempt to lure messiah jury to Washington, it certainly seems like that is a rather unlikely possibility with, you know, maybe if co I leaves and Washington, just the, you know, offers a fifty million dollars a year something, but MLS's certainly has ponied up for g before remember they poached him for from the nuggets to begin with by paying a lot more than he's got a promotion, president basketball operations and appears to be one of the higher pay GM's league. So I don't know if Washington is going to beat the maybe the Fred speculated that perhaps the proximity to Washington and Barack Obama could help somehow with the some of juries aspirations for helping with the basketball in Africa and stuff that seems a rather attenuated at this point in time, when you consider the basketball situation that I don't think the wizards are necessarily gonna. Outbid, the raptors either it'd beyond that, I think that the wizards it's not this tantalizing situation where they have to have a ton of draft picks and cap flexibility. And so you get the chance to, to remake team whereas the raptors are all tied up and not that interesting. No, I meet their John Wallis, one of the worst contracts in the entire MBA debts complicated situation. With Bradley Beal, they already traded out a porter they have yummies crappy money on their books..

"I mean most front office guys now. Did not play in the NBA. Is that a fair statement? Most front office, president basketball operations type guys. Play in the league not as many as baseball but yeah but Myers didn't play league. Rob Pelinka didn't play in the league Jarrell, Maury Gerson Roseanne hired in our Buford. Didn't play inside jury didn't. Yeah. I mean, we've, we've gone from with the basketball has transitioned to an era where and this is why you hear this anti analytic stuff amongst old school players. They're like, who are these guys. Right. They never played the game. They can't possibly understand the gets the scene in money ball where the old scout says Billy let us find the play. Right. And he's like you're not getting it. Yeah, yeah. I wonder if that's starting to happen in basketball, it seems certainly seems to be happening in Houston. Yeah. Seems like it may be going that way. I would not surprise me a few Sten was the was the first one to do it. I can we talk about the dodgers. Yeah. Talk about the dodgers hundred ru. Another spectacular start the game was tomorrow. He'd be the starter. Yes. Because remember Dave Roberts is the manager but he's not gonna win the Cy Young award. Why I'll tell you next. Mason, Ireland, ESPN LA now the dodge again last night behind the pitching of hinge in review in review, has an ER a now down to one point five unbelievably leads the majors. I'm you know I'm happy about for him. You know, he took a one year deal. Yep. For eighteen million. That's right. You took the qualifying offer. Correct. And he bet on himself, now it looks like it's paying off nigga just root for him to stay healthy. But Mace he's been not only the best pitcher in baseball this year. But you could argue is one of the best at the end of last year. And if he keeps this going. His, you know, everything his fifth his ERA his he's elite. He's the only person better than him this year in strand, percentage, like we're understand, is ver- Lander. I, I would think it would be as to quote, my friend, Dave mcmenamin, a dereliction of duty. If you didn't vote for him for the Cy Young. Why do you think he's not gonna win it because John, he's only made thirty starts once in his career that was his rookie year. He's never thrown more than one hundred ninety two innings. He missed two seasons with a shoulder injury came twenty seventeen. He made twenty four starts last year. He made fifteen he's already made eleven this year. He's, they are going to put him on the pretend mythical idea back is stiff de L N. I am completely in favor of it. This is the guy. I want in the postseason. I don't want a down. Okay. Jane that Greg, if he starts twenty five games and wins ERA title. How does he now win the saying? Oh, he will depend on how many games he misses during the year. But no twenty-five maces about what you're shooting for start. So I mean you know, just Burland primate thirty to start three starts if the ale in the Al..

"All right. So let's let's look at the last six years, I know genie. But don't you tie the first three to Mitch? And Jim will you do? But you also tied the first three to genie and she apologized after she finally, I'm going out her brother. I'm gonna ask you a question that I can't even believe it's coming out of my mouth. Okay. Right now. We'll do the better off Jim was still here. Well, the fact that you hesitant to answer, it means at least it's I'm thinking because I think we'd be better off if Mitch was here. Mitch has done this. I mean, Mitch Mitch made the pow Gosol trade and got those last two championships in the Kobe right mean Mitch has championship pedigree. He screwed up, obviously. But but again, okay who who screwed up was a Jim was at Mitch. They went out and signed magic, Robin sign. Lou dang and signed Tim famous gov, which which one was the driving force in that Mitch, obviously is now the isn't he president basketball operations, Charlotte? He's running the hornet running the Hornets. Yeah. But I I would feel better. If there was somebody in that front office with some basketball championship pedigree. And you know, one thing jumped out at me in the last two weeks that I don't think we talked about a lot was that Phil Jackson weighed in with genie on the Tyler. Do. Whether or not he was the right guy in Phil apparently gave genie the thumbs up. Yup. Tie is a good choice. Disfigure still have influenced. These occur Rambus sky, some right, wait, Kurt Kurt was one of his guys genie. Obviously, they were engaged. Yeah. I would think so. Like, she's not answering the phone if he calls because the thing is he wasn't very good at this. He was great coach. But he was a really bad basketball executive, right? Really bad front office guy went down in flames. So if that's another source of of advice or another advisor, that's probably not the right advisory. Either. I it just it boggles my mind the thing that Dr Jerry Buss did over and over again was to find the best people. And then let them do their jobs. What genie has failed to do is find the best people? There's no nobody anywhere can make the argument that rob is the best person for that job. There's nobody anywhere that can make the argument that Kurt Rambis, and and Linda Rambus are the right people to be assisting in basketball operations, hire the best people and then get out of the way. That's what genie has failed to do. And that's why so much of the blowback is on her. It's not on rob. It's not on on Linda and Colonel though, they're getting a fair amount of grief. It's on genie. 'cause she's the one who's empowering people. She's empowering the wrong people. She's not going out and getting getting the best people like her dad did the most qualified people track records. She's not surrounding yourself by the very very best. That's why the blowback is on genie. Yeah. And I think it's fair. It's a an it's such a critical summer with all those big names moving. You should be communicating right now stability, that's what you want front office stability. It's literally one of the checklists on every single free agents to do list for this summer. Let's see good talent to play with guys. I like playing with guys whose games I think I messed with good coach coach I like coach that I feel like gets me front office is it stable. Do they does it feel like they know what's going on? That's one of the three big decisions because van about manual Instagram models. We check that box. We definitely check that box. Marquez? Let's say you're call Marcus in Palm Springs, you're on ESPN LA. Hey, marcus. Hey. Hey, john. Thanks for having me on my wife, Mary happy mother's day. Mary, thanks guys. But back to the obviously the Lakers, which is what we're all here to talk about the pros, the protests, the for the first guy, you guys talked to you that within that crowd..

"Seventy text eight seventy eight seventy four tweet at W, wwl AM FM. Timmy, hit us with the bass give all music shortly joined by New Orleans, pelicans, executive vice president of basketball operations, David Griffin. At DIGI underscore riff on Twitter. The president of basketball operations, Bobby and hearing him speak earlier at the press conference. He sounds like there's a no nonsense kind of guy and vastly different from anybody. The pelicans I've ever had before as their top guy. Well, you might say what is the connection with co gentry? This goes back minus standing to the Phoenix Suns days. You know, what's interesting David Griffin. If you read just as background he was born in Phoenix, Arizona state. He graduated with a degree in political science. So you know, when you think about that? Graduated political science look where he is today. But he started with the sun is an intern back in nineteen ninety three and he was still a student at Arizona state at the time. And then when he left the sun by the time, he left us. He was senior vice president of basketball operations so went from an intern to senior vice president basketball operations you look in ninety seven he moved over to start working on the basketball side of things in video department. And then he worked his way you're saying to senior vice president a basketball rations that he left the team in two thousand ten when Steve Kerr we all know that name Aleph as the general manager. So he's been around very knowledgeable people and. Smart people take advantage of opportunities. And I think that's what David Griffin has done and approves pudding when he had to wheel and deal. You know, when he got to Cleveland, and all of a sudden, the the roster that he had to tweak the first championship that Cleveland had what fifty two years when the Cavaliers won the title in two thousand sixteen I think it's relationship made sense. And it was essential to build the team and the relationship that he had with King James LeBron James and having to tweak the roster. Well, no the Kevin love trae when you having to win now. And that's something. He's gonna have to pull some magic. Pardon the pun so to speak, but he's got to do with coming up with AD and. Can you feel like you come out of this that you really got the value? You can win that situation or take advantage opportunity online with us right now. New Orleans pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations, David Griffin. David thanks so much for the time. And congratulations once again. Thank you so much. Glad to be with you. And at appreciate it. Let's start with. I think I got this right. That Alvin gentry. You're you're comfortable with him remaining on as the head coach one hundred percent, not not comfortable. I was excited about it. Alvin I have a pretty long history together. I think we have the ability to challenge each other in meaningful ways and his his presence. Here was was definitely an attraction for me. Now, David when you talk about challenges and always pushing the right buttons when you away Cleveland and LeBron LeBron James coming back into full, and you pull the trigger all of a sudden you have wagons in the draft pick, and you sent him to the T wolves. And you're able to get a Kevin love just talk about that aspect of that challenge versus what you'd be facing? Now what Anthony Davis going forward and getting the value that you expect? Yeah. Bobby? I think the the one thing from a. From Anthony Davis perspective that matters to me is just that. You know, we we want everybody here to be all the way in. And I have some reason to believe that there's an openness to the possibility that he is and without any knowledge beyond that, I'm going to to absolutely make visiting with him a priority and sharing the vision, we have of the franchise, and I think there's a level of trust with he and his agent that maybe didn't exist previously, which is not at all shout at the previous regime. It's just they don't have the same level of history together that we have. So I'm optimistic that there's a conversation that can be had there. And if everybody feels good about moving forward and in the manner in which we need to that. I'm excited about it. David AD said at the end of the season that whoever the new general manager is president of operations. He wants to talk to him. He expressed a willingness to at least entertain the idea of sticking around. What would be your? To them as to keep an here. And also ensure that hey, you guys are going to build a winner around him. Well, I think really the question is what's what's your goal said is a player. What's your vision for your career? And and does that match with what our goal set is? And if we're like minded about what we're trying to achieve together than than it's a natural you stay together. And if you have a goal set that's beyond that, which we we concern ourselves with which is only winning in building this thing the right way. Then then that's not something we can help you with. So the first question's really how how do I help you know, where where do you need to express your greatness? And in what ways and hopefully that aligns with our philosophies because this isn't something where you can have flexibility or ambiguous ambiguity with you. You've got to be very clear about business. How the pelicans are going to run as an operation. And this is where we see you fitting in it. No flea those things match up. Now, David, you know, player say they wanna be somewhere where they can win a championship. Now, what all you experience? In the NBA -ffiliated. Craig we affirm wrong, but I've kind of compared to me it's not like the NFL. I'm not saying it's unrealistic because a look at the market is San Antonio. And with Pavas done there to win championships. But I said, there's no reason why the pelicans cannot be like when Jerry Westwood the Memphis grizzlies a decade, they're always in the thick of things in the hunt never really won anything. But what it a challenge is though when you're in a small market versus key players that could kinda try maybe get together and. I mean, it's my bog. And right now is kind of embarrassed ABA assess where you look what the Lakers and Knicks right in those markets, but are you off to mystic that you realistically could win a championship in New Orleans. One hundred percent. I mean, it's news dole the small markets that have already won championships that it can't be done. I mean, the San Antonio market not not significantly different than this one. Right. And in national TV ratings New Orleans NBA fans have a greater share of markets in the Spurs do. So from that perspective. I think this is they market that wants to be crazy about this basketball team, and we can play on that a little bit. We wanna championship in Cleveland. It's a smaller market. And it's something I think where it becomes a very lazy person's out to say that you can't win in a small market because there are challenges in winning in smaller market in the first one of those is, you know, is we have to be about something. We're we're. We're gonna try to build something that attracts light minded energy. And if you don't want to go about it the way we're going to go about it. Then we're not going to be super sexy, but we're going to be overly substantive, and that will eventually recruit itself, it may not recruit the biggest names Earl recruit the right name, David Griffin, New Orleans. Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations here on sports talk in David have you met with AD yet? Or no. No spoken to Rich Paul, and I have not sat down with AD. And we do have a plan in place to sit down face to face, and sort of get to know one another and and what our goals are would you mind sharing? If there's a time line on that looker. Not really I wouldn't be comfortable doing that. I don't really want this to be something that plays out publicly. But once we once we have that conversation, if the next step is, we're we're all going to March together in lockstep, you'll know that. And if the next step is we're not you'll you'll probably know that too. And the way you know, that is we've acted on some other deal, and you never heard anything about it. Or he comes out and says he can't wait for training camp. Now, David wouldn't have what made the pelican so attracted to you. Because you had opportunities you always on the top of that list GM's across the board throughout the NBA even doing MBA TV until announced standing job on serious until you had the right fit. What made yard such a right fit was the ownership are a combination of things just elaborate on that. It was definitely a combination of things. But it it started with and really hit. For me. Upon MRs Benson in her ownership team when we met here at the facility, it was really something where I was taken by by her her visit her sincerity, and sort of comforted her in sort of authentic cells. She see somebody that's really going to be important to this. And the way we build this and family being at the root of what we believe in doing. I think she's going to speak to families a very profound way, and her group was really really on board with everything that we hope to achieve you. And I said in the press conference that my wife, and I talked about this for years. You know, the process really is we have to find our owner the person who we can share a vision with a dream together. And I think this is very clearly on that page, David, what's your favorite thing? So far about New Orleans outside off the basketball court. You're limited time here in New Orleans. Well, it's funny. Actually. So I talked about it. I came here for the first time when I was fourteen and the food scene was something that spoke to me as a young kid, really, really. Clearly, I was the son of a single mother waitress in the most exciting moments in my life where dinners at pass cows Manali and commanders pallet with a friend Sam like I felt like I was living the right way and everything that I knew of culture in terms of the music in the city, and the people really revolved around New Orleans for a lot of my adult life. So every time I've been able to come back from an NBA perspective. I've I've taken staff members to places and shared it with him. And it's it's something where my my affection for the the marketplaces pretty died in the wool since I was a kid and David you know, you develop as a person and you hit what adversity. It's all part of billing your character. Just talk about also the three. Ouch. You've had cancer where you at now. That to help humble you and keep things perspective. And also the kind of to rise above that. Yeah. You know, it's interesting. I don't know where the three bows came from. So I had to out and in twenty eleven I went through I went through chemo in twenty eleven and in July twenty eleven they called me cancer free, and I've gone through all of the different follow up things. But I'll tell you. It's really interesting. What happens when you go through something like that? I would have told you that I was probably too much of a people pleaser at one time in my life and I cared immeasurably. What other people think and you go through something like that you find your offense excels, and you find your underlying grit and toughness, and I'm not here to be liked. And I think what I realize is there's a right way to do these things and conviction matters more than anything else..

"In the last couple of days with reports Ramona Shelburne talking about no communication between magic Lori for weeks. Clearly, I think there was gonna. Be a move. And as we've heard Jeanie Buss is a fan of Luke Walton as as a matter of fact, and I think maybe she just put her foot down and said that he's going to be the coach next year. And maybe Magic Johnson to said. All right. Well, then I gotta go. It is just mind boggling because just when you think maybe a great franchise lake. This could start to get it together. You've got legendary people in place, whether it is magic at the title of basketball operations or president basketball operations kidding LeBron as a free agent last year, the mess just seems to circulate itself. Yeah. Can you believe it you get one of the top? If not top player, you could argue LeBron James one of the greatest players in the history of the game come to your franchise. And it's an absolute disaster. This season was a disaster who wants to go there in the summer? What free agents are going to be able to get who's going to be running the LA Lakers, a complete mess as we approached July one that's not that far away. And they better get their stuff right there. This summer could get really ugly for the Lakers JV. Appreciate you jumping on here for a couple of minutes. Thanks, and you got to hey back. Enjoy the game tonight. If we're looking at the Lakers, and it's a foregone conclusion that they're not even in the championship picture, then LeBron's arrival here doesn't amount to much it's not a failure.
