Into those businesses that we have an obligation as a government to protect those businesses and protect the citizens that live here and we successfully done that. That as a leader, in Cincinnati when you saw what happened early on in Minneapolis, and that is precinct three I guess it's a million dollar building, and and literally the police chief under orders from the Mayor Jacob Fry said police get out of the precinct. now be careful about what what your car's pre positioned to be set off policing has changed so much in our lifetime Willie you know the things that we are requiring of our our first responders is just incredible so yes we have to be looking for all of those things your listeners might not know that in Cincinnati we had one of our officers shot at last night and it is only by the grace of god that we did not lose an officer last night in the city of Cincinnati and sold a bullet ricocheted and hit a helmet if it was just an inch lower it would have hit that officer in the army and we will be in a totally different conversation as were having they were having right now so yes you know we have to deal with all the things you just described people setting booby traps but also just people out there with fire arms who decided that they'd like to fire on our on our law enforcement is unacceptable and that we're going to continue to hold people accountable here I think our mayor John Cranley has struck the right the right balance here we allow the peaceful protest but we draw a line in the sand when somebody picks up a break and decides that the way to one of our business owners windows are trying to throw it through one of our cruisers that's where we draw the line in the sand and by the by the way I'm a member of an African American fraternity alpha Phi alpha and is the oldest fraternity in the end in the event of an African American fraternity in the United States of America and I know some of my other brothers who are different attorneys they're they're they're saying things right now but let me say this to you Martin Luther king was a member of alpha Phi alpha he was one of my brothers one of my fraternity brothers he absolutely would not agree with the looting of stores he would not agree with setting police cruisers on fire he would not agree with violence against other people attacking been violently that we've seen on TV he would not agree with people up shooting projectiles at our police officers throwing urine on them throwing eggs at them none of these things would be acceptable by a man that we know Dr Martin Luther king with the catches of this country when there was no conscious around race and so what I would suggest to our country is let's do some listening our white brothers and sisters need to do some listening and African Americans are people we need to do some soul searching we can find the right tone here and make sure that the tragedy that happened with George Floyd was not in vain we don't want to miss the message that what happened to him was wrong and we want to hold people accountable thank you that some of the systemic issues around housing criminal justice reform in health care that are so important to all of us as Americans but specifically black and brown people is there any doubt in your mind that that police officer who was shot in this kevlar helmet thank god in the round did not go through was targeted because he was a police officer there's a there's a there's no doubt in my mind I mean I just I mean I just I don't believe that that was.

if I said the way to one of our business owners windows are trying to throw it through one of our cruisers that's where we draw the line in the sand and by the by the way I'm a member of an African American fraternity alpha Phi alpha and is the oldest fraternity in the end in the event of an African American fraternity in the United States of America and I know some of my other brothers who are different fraternities they're they're they're saying things right now but let me say this to you Martin Luther king was a member of alpha Phi alpha he was one of my brothers one of my fraternity brothers he absolutely would not agree with the looting of stores he would not agree with setting police cruisers on file fire he would not agree with violence against other people attacking been violently that we've seen on TV he would not agree with people up shooting projectiles at our police officers throwing urine on them throwing eggs at them none of these things would be acceptable by a man that we know Dr Martin Luther king with the catches of this country when there was no conscious around race and so what I would suggest to our country is let's do some listening our white brothers and sisters need to do some listening and African Americans are people we need to do some soul searching we can find the right tone here and make sure that the tragedy that happened with George Floyd was not in vain we don't want to miss the message that what happened to him was wrong and we want to hold people accountable thank you that some of the systemic issues around housing criminal justice reform in health care that are so important to all of us as Americans but specifically black and brown people is there any doubt in your mind that that police officer who was shot in this kevlar helmet thank god in the round did not go through was targeted because he was a police officer there's a there's there's no doubt in my mind I mean I guess I mean I just I don't believe that that was random it was a very scary situation all of us and it really is only by the grace of god that we do not have a tragedy here not again urged elected officials across this great country to farm up around the law do not allow lawlessness and give added that the route when it is happening that is what we're doing here in the city of Cincinnati so we we believe in the free speech but we're not going to allow people to burn our city to the.

"There's already poll showing Mark Kelly ahead of Sally Sally in Arizona. We'll be watching that Jennifer Rubin Jason Johnson thank you both for joining us really appreciate Florence and when we come back Donald Trump has appointed three three national security advisers in his less than three years as President President Obama appointed three national security advisers in his eight years as President Susan Rice was the longest serving national security adviser for President Obama Susan Rice will will join US next President Obama had three national security security advisers over eight years in office. President trump has had three national security advisers over at less than three years in office. President Trump's first national security adviser Michael Flynn served only twenty one days in the job. The shortest tenure of any National Security Advisor in History Michael Flynn was in court today for a pre sentencing hearing for the crimes. He has pleaded guilty to crimes. He committed in the White House while serving as national security adviser when he lied to the FBI Michael Flynn was replaced by HR McMaster. HR McMaster was then replaced by John Bolton and John Bolton will be replaced next week. According to the present the position of National Security Advisor does not require Senate confirmation so the only possible struggle for the president and appointing a new national security adviser is finding someone who will accept the job it was an honor for Susan Rice to accept the offer from President Obama to servants his third national security advisor she she served in that position for the entire second term of the Obama presidency in the first term of the Obama Presidency. Susan Rice served as the ambassador. The United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice will join US next joining discussion. Now is someone who can give us an invaluable perspective on the job of National Security Advisor. Susan Rice is the last person to serve in the job of national security adviser before Donald Trump started appointing national security adviser. Susan Rice served as President Obama's national security advisor from two thousand thirteen to January of two thousand seventeen and before that she service President Obama's ambassador to the United Nations from two thousand nine to twenty thirteen her new book tough love my story of things worth fighting for comes out next month ambassador rice. Thank you very much for joining US tonight. I just wanted to get what was your first reaction today when you heard the news that John Bolton was either fired according to Donald Trump or resigned according to John Bolton Lawrence is good to be with you I confess when when I heard the news I was working out and I was a bit surprised to see it flash across the screen I had to plug in the headphones to find out what was actually going on. I was surprised more by the timing of the announcement it was unexpected in that regard but not the actual outcome because for quite a while Al it's been apparent that John Bolton and Donald trump were on very different sheets of music when it comes to almost every national security issue of import and either Boulton was going to continue to be publicly humiliated and failed to persuade trade the president.
