"Hey mark thank <Speech_Male> you for doing <Speech_Male> You talked about <Speech_Male> guys using their platform <Speech_Male> into organization <Speech_Male> getting behind. <Speech_Male> You know those guys <Speech_Male> especially iran <Speech_Male> and also <Speech_Male> patrick but <Speech_Male> there there's been some <Speech_Male> some a little <Speech_Male> bit of pushback <Speech_Male> and i'd like to <Speech_Male> know what your messages <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> those fans who just <Speech_Male> want your organization <Speech_Male> in your players <Speech_Male> just stick to sports <Speech_Male> Because they say <Speech_Male> that sports <SpeakerChange> and politics <Silence> don't go together. <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> I think our players <Speech_Male> who've done a <Speech_Male> job. And i could do on <Speech_Male> that point <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> when the <Speech_Male> video came out <Speech_Telephony_Male> This summer <Speech_Male> from the <Speech_Male> players. Really calling <Speech_Male> out the league <Speech_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> You know <Speech_Music_Male> the message. <Speech_Male> We provided <Speech_Male> that day <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> is still the <Speech_Music_Male> message that we live by. <Speech_Music_Male> Which is we support <Speech_Music_Male> our players. We <Speech_Male> love our players <Speech_Male> and we're <Speech_Male> proud him <Speech_Male> Know <Speech_Male> as i said to the point <Speech_Male> about family there <Speech_Male> are players in <Speech_Male> our locker at every <Speech_Male> end of the spectrum <Speech_Telephony_Male> so <hes> <Speech_Male> we have the same discussions <Speech_Male> internally that are happening <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <hes> in in the broader <Speech_Male> media space <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And there's going to be opinions <Speech_Male> on all sides <Speech_Male> We respect those <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Men we're going to <Speech_Male> continue to try to find platforms <Speech_Male> like this <Speech_Male> guy that <Speech_Music_Male> we believe <Speech_Music_Male> are truly <SpeakerChange> impartial <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> and sam <Speech_Music_Male> mcdowell but sam <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> nicer all. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I wonder if <Speech_Male> you could give us a glimpse of <Speech_Male> what your day today. <Speech_Male> Looks like i mean you <Speech_Male> said to get out there. Five <Speech_Male> forty five. <Speech_Music_Male> What are your sort of assignments <Speech_Music_Male> would lead them <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> out <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Male> so <Speech_Male> interesting. <Speech_Male> I drove past my <Speech_Male> polling station <Speech_Male> about thirty. <Speech_Male> The place i typically <Speech_Male> go <Speech_Male> and the line was <Speech_Male> completely out the door <Speech_Male> all the way down the street <Speech_Telephony_Male> so i was happy to come <Speech_Male> out here <Speech_Male> The first thing i do <Speech_Male> i voted <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> i <Speech_Male> actually go through the <Speech_Male> process. That i was <Speech_Male> going to help manage <Speech_Male> so i <Speech_Male> voted here and <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> then what. I've done is <Speech_Male> Become <Speech_Music_Male> <hes> <Speech_Music_Male> we're called <Speech_Music_Male> election judges <Speech_Male> So <Speech_Male> i'm actually a part <Speech_Male> of a team of a number <Speech_Music_Male> of people who are <Speech_Male> once. The person <Speech_Music_Male> comes in registers. <Speech_Music_Male> They get <Speech_Male> the ticket to vote. <Speech_Male> They give us the ticket. <Speech_Male> We then go to the machine. <Speech_Male> Explain how the machine <Speech_Male> works explain. How the ballot <Speech_Male> works and <Speech_Male> make sure that <Speech_Music_Male> everything is correct <Speech_Music_Male> in that process <Speech_Male> and then we make sure <Speech_Male> that that voter gets <Speech_Male> to the ballot box <Speech_Male> and actually put their own ballot <Speech_Male> in <Speech_Male> the box. So <Speech_Male> <hes> i've done a little <Speech_Male> bit of <Speech_Male> Walker on cheerleading <Speech_Male> thanking <Speech_Male> For the people <Speech_Male> who have been here a lot <Speech_Male> longer. And we'll be a <Speech_Male> lot longer than i <Speech_Male> am and will <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> And <Speech_Male> i've done a lot of <Speech_Music_Male> conversations had <Speech_Music_Male> a lot of conversations <Speech_Male> with people who have worked <Speech_Male> numerous <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> elections <Speech_Male> in this community <Speech_Music_Male> in first of all. <Speech_Music_Male> Thank them for what they do. <Speech_Male> But secondly <Speech_Male> just trying to get educated <Speech_Male> on you <Speech_Male> what. We're doing what <Speech_Male> we can do better. What's different <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> as i'm said pretty <Speech_Male> consistently on this. <Speech_Male> Call <Speech_Male> the overwhelming <Speech_Music_Male> response. But <Speech_Music_Male> we got to vote here more often. <Speech_Music_Male> This is this is a <Speech_Male> great setup and we wish <Speech_Male> more people knew about <Speech_Male> today. <hes> <Speech_Music_Male> so again <Speech_Male> the one message <Speech_Male> i would ask for your <Speech_Male> everyone's help on <Speech_Male> this. <Speech_Male> We've had a great turnout. <Speech_Male> We've had people pretty <Speech_Male> steady through here but we <Speech_Male> got a lot more capacity <Speech_Male> so if you If you are eligible to vote at arrowhead please come out.

"Yeah clark said something early on in this process about You know there hasn't been a two thousand nineteen there hasn't been in two thousand and twenty times very different Than they've been in the past and we're we're all in a different space One of the things that really resonated with me and with others in our organization about the platforms we picked and specifically the voting platform was in this day and age with all the discord to find a platform that everyone in our organization can get the nonpartisan but is about getting people to express and use their voice to make their choice. And patrick really well the other day. I'll i'll promoting is go get registered and use your voice. Make your decisions for you personally. Use your voice And i've said this before we're an organization family and thinking about family is we and we're example this. We got representatives on all ending to the spectrum from a political standpoint from all kinds of different standpoint. so i'm trying to find some platform that we could all get behind Is not always easy. And this one really resonated with a lot of our players a lot of organization. I would tell you that it's your energy point You know the energy around this project in our building has been really charts and again in the space where he and right now when you got two hundred plus employees and many of them in that younger generation. They are looking for ways to be helpful. They're looking ways to participate and be active. And in that demographic we've got a wide spectrum of us this is a great place where they can come together at a time when it's really hard for us physically now to come together It's been there's been a lot of energy in the building and there's a lot of real joy Today in staff that have been working here since about three thirty this morning. "Then But then once we got into our normal game day schedule. It's going to be tough for them to get here until afternoon. It's next to matt derek. Good man hey mark. Thanks for your time. You talked a little bit about the future. But you don't specifically how do you hope. And envision this going forward is is arrowhead has voting place you think possible likely for all elections or just certain elections And you know it could expand further. I mean would you like to see all jackson. County residents being able to go to narrow head. Yeah we'll work with the election board On exactly how we can expand and what makes the most sense in terms of how many elections we actually were having that conversation earlier today. in between Voting activities. And if like. I said if if you actually come here and see what we're doing and how we're doing it. There's a lot of interest in utilizing this a lot more We'll come down the schedules. They look down to You know make sure that we have availability here on those days I think as you know. We've we've shut the offices today so all that conversation i was having with myself about Being game day mode actually not engage them today because we gave the get a day off. the The reality is we. We've already had discussions. We'll continue discussions about using it again. The commitment that we made the purchase machines is something we want to utilize so As much as these machines can be utilized. We want to do that. It's like we got former hands up. We'll go right down the line. Starting with darren go at their mark. I'm gonna take of journalists privilege on this. I want to thank you first of all for what you all did. No back in august when we spoke to press you on it and you didn't wanna reveal the plans about using era at the time but i. I'm thankful that you did and glad that you did But i have two questions. I'm asking i one i but the last time we spoke i asked you about the fact that hi v. didn't have stores in the third and fifth district. I would like to know where you are at with those conversations harvey regarding the food desert noon comes conversation. What does the organization willing to do to see any partnership where this heavy price chopper. Other businesses reflect. Not only the bottom line that she's but the fans and community calls home or should it be an organized boycott of hy-vee until they do and then i have another question for you or and you're in a lot of different directions there so let me first say. Thank you for Asking the question originally and getting that out there As i said at that time we felt competent tonight. We're going to have arizona's those location but given all the obstacles that we knew of and then if you add all the other obstacles they said we encountered as we go. I'm just really really happy. They were here today. in terms of the food desert and the challenges that Really are east of truth and and locations that we've done a lot of research on One of our focuses has an organization. Those three pillars is those local minority businesses so specifically to grocery and food desert We are in discussions right now. Two different organizations that we're gonna make some donations to talk our players about matching donations and doing things with their social platforms. Create awareness of some of these minority owned businesses and in some are food. Restaurant related That are in that corridor that you know have the challenges of competing in a business to begin with and then the challenge of kobe and what that does to so many businesses. So that's a real focus of those three pillars that i talked about And specifically the. Hi i'm just gonna reiterate what i said. The last time we had this discussion. Which is i know. Heavy and others have had a lot of discussions about making efforts in in the food. Desert in that corridor I was conversation earlier last week. Actually with john blue furred who a as a ton of work or truman former ceo. There was done a ton of work in that community. And i know there are a lot of conversations going on i am not privy to the decisions or plans hy-vee others having but I know in something as we are made aware of them. Were kinda find ways to support and and then last week. I asked patrick. What's next following the election to what you said and i quote we actually be. We are actually going to be able to have to me with mark donovan here either this week or next week to continue to strive to get more black owned businesses the support they need. I think what does meeting that we're going to have mark. He's already had a lot of great ideas that he's learned from people in the community. That are out there. I had to making change happen now. You mentioned earlier about support minority on business. Sometimes the political ear. My means you know white women because that's considered a minority. So what does this support. Look like have you made a. Will you be making spending commitment or policy to less in locally. Black owned businesses to make sure that patrick's words have meaning and action behind them. Yeah i think you make a very good point. And that's something we've learned as we've gone through this process that There are a lot of different organizations trying to support minority businesses. And then you get into civics and how you define minority and then what business are are getting funded actually been educated in terms of their certain businesses in the minority Businessworld that have the ability to get banked by normal banks. There are a lot of businesses. They don't and we're trying to thread that needle. We're trying to make sure that we're doing things to support across a pretty broad base of the have been made well aware of some of the Issues that have been raised in the community in the urban community about support organizations and where they're putting their money and we've been educated by the experts that people in the community so what patrick was The conversations that myself and sharp and others have had With leaders in this in this community who are in the space so We take it very seriously. We take responsibility to try to do it. The right way We are close to Finalizing two different donations to two different organizations that are in the community and those specifically we had that conversation talked about signed ways that we can even target. Our donations are support to true Local minority black owned businesses And that came up with our players. And that's something that they brought to us and said that's an important distinction and that's a little continue to focus to do three more. We'll go todd steven than sam. The closedown mark. You've been in this league for a long time. And i know there's been a few years ago. I guess i don't want where's your mouth about being proud or anything but how much i guess enthusiasm you see on the organization side across league not just in kansas city on actually working with players and coming together and doing some of these these things instead of being kind of adversarial like it seemed like it was a few years ago..

"And the feedback that you got from the crowd for arrowhead being a polling station and then lastly unnoticed coach. Andy reid was there at at six thirty vote. How many other people from the organization used arrowhead is voting place. So let me start with party. Your question So hundred you know. I haven't been a lot of polling stations as they open the gates but I don't think there very very many around the city around the country where people were tutoring as they walked in the door I think has something to do with being at the stadium It was a pretty energetic atmosphere out. There they were a lot of people in line. They they poured in One of the big benefits we have. Here's the space the fact that we can do most of our lines indoors And there's a lot of space obviously socially distance and then we With all the new machines we have over forty machines. That's what i've been doing. All morning is getting people from registration to the voting machines. And there's just plenty to to utilize so In terms of and others who voted here So i've been the one one of the team of people who've been taking registration devoting. So i've actually been able to interact with a lot of our employees and thanked him for voting we every level of the of the organization here One of them in particular was a security guard. Who literally just got off work for working the nightshift rolled-over got the vote. And you gotta here so really efficient and really working better than expected next to adam. Teicher go he mortar. Mark had a ticket question for you today on. Can you just give us a sense of how through four home. Games that syrian going from the team perspective any regrets y twenty two percent is the optima seems to be the sweet spot there and brattle one quick follow up to So the ticket process has been Very interesting for us. Because it's such unchartered territory. We initially proposed Close to thirty one percent capacity deduct archer again. Another person that we've really spent a lot of time with and again an educated Just how the medical side looks at this. And how do we make it as safe as possible. So through those discussions got down and twenty two I don't think there's a real magic number in twenty two to thirty one. It's really about being socially distance possible in the in the stands big big advantage. And we have a couple of actually. The first is obviously an outdoor stadium. which plays into it and then being able to test all of our suite holders was a big plus so that helped us with capacity in terms of the process there are a lot of learning's really proud of the team. We were obviously the first in the league to do this. Because of the first game but As i've said before we we knew we were on a stage that was being closely monitored by not only our league but other leagues on how this was going to work and to be able to do successfully as we've done so far Again to operate expertise in new space for us all That's been really the process one learning that we took away from it which I would tell you that we didn't really see this when we put the projections out. But it's been pretty clear to us is the pod. Sizes of each individual group has ebbed and flowed. So you know there's a theory at least internally with us that that'll continue changes people get more comfortable or less comfortable with spikes that we don't have spikes that for the most far will be feedback with god is. I'm comfortable in my podcasts. At four to six whatever it is and what are we. Seeing trending is positive have gotten smaller from the beginning. They're starting to get bigger. We'll see what happens at thanksgiving if we have any spikes after that but we do hope that those pods will continue to get bigger. Because i don't actually give us the ability to get even closer to that twenty two percent when you're dealing with pods and trying to stick them into places this social distancing create capacity issues for us so that's probably the biggest learning took away from it The final point. I'll make to that adam. Is you know the the clients and the adherence by our fans has been really good We there's always gonna be exceptions and we've managed as well as they possibly could But the key is that we're trying to faith venue so people can have arrowhead experience and cheese. Football live and in person and a lot of that is on her fans and we said from the beginning plan is only good is compliance. And they've done a really good job with and my next question is assuming there's going to be one or more playoff games. Played at arrowhead this year. Can you say definitively. Yet the tickets will be sold for those games. Whatever the capacity might be. I think in two thousand and twenty. It's hard to say anything. Definitively we fully plan and expect to be at least twenty two percent capacity. And we're working through a lot of different scenarios right now to make sure that if the opportunity presents itself were able to capitalize on that and get even more arcane in ireland. It's going to. Matt mcmullen go. Hey mark so there's been some planning in this like you like you've mentioned many people involved coordination trying to make today a reality but now that it's actually happening. You're seeing it in action. What's this mean to you. In the organization. The biggest thing that comes across the pride you know this is such a great example of an organization just working together to you. Guys have heard the story. We started with What our platform is gonna be to try to address covid and social justice it also converge same time on us and we would have players and said. Where do you guys want to focus our time where we want to focus our resources. What do we wanna make priority And we came out of that meeting with three priorities. The first voting The second being finding ways to support local minority businesses and the third being tried to do something more than we already do with city year and other programs in the education area just because of what covert is doing to those areas and that turned into Three tiers of focus specifically on voting. We started with a wariness. How do we make sure people are aware that their vote matters. And how do we get that message out there. And how do we support that with our platform both the chiefs platform and the players individual platforms that turn to once. You got to awareness and education how to register to vote so a ton of work done with rise devote a ton of work done with the league. I you saw the video of patrick and tyrant standing in front of our whole our whole team. All of our coaches during training camp and just sharing their personal experience and how important it was to them and really just sharing that they can be a part of this and everybody in the room should be a part of it and then you know all of those things were done early on and we can't sort of meeting and talking about things that we could do the idea of will could we vote at arrowhead came up in a meeting and that launched the ho- campaign to try to make it a reality. I will share with you that a lot of those meetings were great on paper. You walk out of there and makes perfect sense. Let's go to space. That's where the election board came in and a lot of different people helped us through that process. process culminated in not too long ago. The election boards saying that Although it's a great idea. They're just too many hurdles and we finally had to say what's it gonna take And that's really. What launched the idea of purchasing new machines and so we the cheese organization the hunt family and patch mahomes and his fifteen and the homeys Foundation came together and said that's what's gonna take we're committed to this point. Let's go so six figure investment by us that not only will legitimately impact the community today but will impact this community for years and years to come. Hopefully ten years to come with these machines. Continue to be used. And then i'll finally say for anybody who's been here today. Anybody comes out today. If you experience voting arrowhead. I think they're gonna want this to be only location for a long time to come next to nate. Taylor gordon eight. Mr good to see you actually answered One of my questions about the future. But i do have to for you i is do. Does the organization know how many people were to register through the program. And then i'll have to follow. So i'd answer that question. Couple one Late in the process. We really focused on awareness. Who could actually vote here. And we didn't want situations where people coming out here and not being able to vote and creating more problems. So that's when we got really aggressive on our website with information specifically if you gonna choose dot com slash vote right now. Just look.

"Oh so what are you looking for. When you're trying to determine what time would wind put in the second unit is certain score certain time in the game. What are you looking for. Kind of movement on both sides Just where we're at the score obviously starts that thought process but are you. Are you safe doing that. And still You know being able to get those guys that opportunity to play and you never know when they're going to be in the game plan In a normal situation so And then listen they. All bus are tail during the week. And it gives them an opportunity to to feel a part of it and So that all of that kind of goes into the thank you day. Yeah todd lebeau good coach. I wonder if you could speak to how kinda your defensive backfield has had that works through lots of different things if you're with suspensions and injuries and and all that and how how well they ended up playing for you. I missed a this cutting out for whatever reason. I don't know what's going on so just give it to me one more time. Your defensive backfield with all the different changes and know suspensions and injuries and how they'd kind of battled through all of that and continued to kind of get the job done for you they. They've done a nice job. Mirrored sam They've they've they've done is job of keeping everything to get there and and teaching all the guys and the veteran players I think they've done. They've done that well. And the guys all trust each other and they've they've worked a man a little bit like what we talk more about. When andy heck lose the offense other do the same thing in the secondary so when a guy has an op jump in as not foreign. That's a The player feels comfortable with it and most of all the guys around him feel comfortable with it and they're at that position. You've gotta have great communications so that becomes very important. That they're they've trusted each other. Though bryn mawr for the last one good really. Good morning andy. I know that you've talked about this several times throughout the course of the summer but now that we are twenty four hours removed away from the election. And you're starting to ensure see that kind of the setup going on and it's becoming a little more real. Just how proud are you of your guys that they really led. This charged it to get that type of change done. Yeah so. I think it's it's an eight. They've been able to do it right here at the stadium and the there are a lot of things that had to go right to get that done and A lot of it had to do first of all with the players having a plan. Second of all presenting it to management and ownership and then the those people in ownership and management support him so clark han mark donovan gone above and beyond to support the players. And that's what teams all about. So there's very respect there. And that's the part. I appreciate The most just how everybody pulled together join. Get this thing done..

"Obviously the trade deadline is tomorrow. And so this is the obligatory question every year around this time. How how active do you think the team will be in hundred necas it this year especially getting cooler circumstances. Yeah i mean that's unique but there have been there's been movement and i don't know what takes place to the next couple of days whether it's here or anywhere else but there has been move it It's i guess it's somewhat unique and from the testing standpoint. What you have to get done before the player can actually get on the field so But we'll see how that goes here the next couple of days here in our state or so. It's gonna to adam taste good at handy. Their quarterbacks out there obviously can make a lot of big plays and they're saw who are good at voiding turnovers and other mistakes but very few pad who can do both of those things that are really high level. Can you can you. Maybe go to give us an example of some of what he does so well that him to marry those two things really well and brattle at one. Quick follow to. He's got a he's got a great vision And most of all feel in the pocket just An where things are happening and the pressures are coming from. And and then you know. Obviously when he's out in space it's great for young kids to watch him when he when he breaks pocket that his eyes are always downfield And to be able to do that with confidence you've got to know where everybody's ad and have trust in the guys and he does a nice job. I shot with that okay. Looks like you're going to be playing against christian. Mccaffrey on sunday. Assuming he's coming back this week. Which i think is what were your thoughts on him when he was coming out in the draft that year and what he had been guy. You may have considered had not been available there for you guys. Sure no he he would fit in the elephants. Well i think probably every coach would say at this lake. He was a heck of a college player and He sure doing a nice job in the nfl. So we'll have to make sure we know what's going on with him not the day you know there there are other runback is doing very well to fill an informed so they have a really along with the receiver that also plays running back so they've got three guys there that are really talented players by the way nice hat. I appreciate you break in that out. to erland. good air goes look at the stat sheet. it just kind of stood out passing orange almost at four fifteen running yards at at fifty with something. That new york was doing that kind of prevented you all getting what you wanted to click on the running game or was it. Just the adjustments george motor earlier. We know we can get these guys to the year. Now have one quick. Follow up you'll be on. Trump's follow ups So so what were what we looked at was coming in with a top five run defense and they're pretty stout upfront. Nice job. there scheme allows them to do that likewise and and so we felt like whether it's the rpo game or That was attached to the run game that That and or are throwing game at short intermediate game would be a good and so We kind of lean on those those areas and workout. Okay and follow busy. It seems like you very popular halloween costume with the the week. One outfit foggy face masks they. You can't let me down right lesson. that's all right that's a that's all. It's all good humbling. Right next to nate taylor going. You guys lead the league turnover differential right now plus nine. You're tied for having the most takeaways in the league with fourteen from your perspective. Just what of your appreciated most of your defensive coaches that out they coached guys be opportunistic and trying to get all while they practice it. Nate right you're out there. You see that. I mean they they hammer that point home and the guys believe in it and they're the ones executed on the field so they believe in it they some of. It's just being in the proper position to to be able to make an interception or not and and understand defense and so There's a lot of hours ago in from a player's standpoint. Making sure they they know that the scheme can take advantage of opportunities when the balls in the air. So you're done nice job. And then tackle on the football still formed tackling but sliding your hat to side of the ball You know has been helpful to next. Met derek goodman day coach. I do have my missouri tigers shirt on for you. But i think this might be a bit of an esoteric question for you on a monday. But you've never been shy about looking to other teams and coaches ri- is on offense. I'm just curious you know who do you look to. I mean is there anybody right now. You look at it. The college level or other coaches in the league and that there's ideas that you can pick up and learn from them now. Well i've got joe blair here who Does all the behind the scenes things With all that and spends a tremendous amount of time going through everything from high school to college pro and just a gathering ideas and then whether we rearrange the play or or we sneak it in our playbook as is and But it it stimulates something that keeps you keeps you live and current and and then also helps on the defensive side kind of knowing what's coming forward And the progression of offenses in this lake. So but i give a lot of credit to him and and how he how he goes about that and the hours any spencer time for a few more gas with the right down the line. Robert todman brooklyn but robert a coach. So we've seen chad henny a few times laying games this year and i know you're a guy that doesn't really take any lead in the nfl for granted. What are you looking for when you're trying to look to put in the second team into the game is at a certain score. You're looking ahead or a certain time in the game. Robert you know the last part cut out there say that one more time..

Andy reid Thought over all good solid performance By the by the team a team effort again all three phases Contributed and and played well so that there are some nice adjustments that took place. Coordinators had a good game plan the then. They made a few adjustments during the game and that helps to so again without picking one person or one side by side overall. It was a good team team. Went under sam. Miller because andy. You guys had the fourth and one of the four yesterday. I'm just curious a little off the wall but his your calculus change in those situations about the quarterback sneak after what happened in in denver last year Honest with you br. "So we're trying to do is be fair. But represent the market. Let's go to Tarez pay interest. Hey Mark how you doing. Thank you for doing this here. you know. Just. Kind of following up on the pricing model how have sales been going for? You guys you not like I asked you that every year but with these prices being above the norm at high sales been going in. One more the the passion of your fans as it kind of wherever's set does that kind of speak to that as well the passionate glance. Well to to your first part of the question of how sounds gone exactly as we expected. And I I get the data center parents saying things like that but it's really our sales team. Tyler Kirby. Tyler at the people who are in that department for us, they really know their business and. When you look at what the projections were going to be as you can imagine her as united had enough discussions to know kind of how I'm wired on these things. So there's a pretty high expectation pre bar and exactly where we're going to be and how we're going to be our projections has to be right exactly where we going to be. The demand is. It it's an interesting way of doing it because we're doing tenure going back to the point of fairness we had to figure out a way to give every single season ticket members an opportunity, but we've had longer tenured. Georgia tenured season ticket members. So we've gone in waves and allowed the longest tenured season members the opportunity to buy I then the next. Then the next thing we're probably I won't have exact were probably only thirty percent through. Our seizures and take a members and The interesting part at least looking at the data is you've got a lot of people longer tenured. season-ticket members again, it's a mix but if you look demographically could have some people who may be medically challenge may have conditions maybe in our older demographic and maybe less likely to want to come to a game where they've got to go through all these protocols and do all these things We believe that as we get our projection show as we get closer to the newer tenured season ticket members, the percentage of people who buy within those pods are GonNa be much higher. But we really set out our model set out a goal which is going to be tough to achieve what we think. We're GONNA get there that every single season ticket over whether you're a fifty year plus season took remember whether you signed on with US last year for the first year will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to games this year. When you talk about seventeen thousand tickets, sixteen thousand tickets. It's it's tough to figure out where we feel like we're trending towards that. All right guys we got time for a few more questions of SCO with Sam knowing you're next. Good Sam. Mark thanks for doing this. With. The the pricing is for follow up on some. Your focus is the health part of it. Right of you know getting the protocols in place and all that, but there has to be a financial this tomb just wondering, was there sort of a standard that you guys had to hit on? You know making this worth it for lack of a better term making sure that that you would have enough money to make this worth it. Yeah. I know that question has been out there nationally as well as locally. The numbers don't pencil out. You can't. You can't really make the numbers work. We talking about that that amount of tickets. So, this isn't about that. This is about creating an experience and continuing the experience at. Arrowhead. Giving fans the opportunity to be there for some really special moments. To some may sign sound a little bit. Contrived but but honestly. We're raising a banner. On September tenth and we want our fans to be part of that. We're really struggling with fact that only sixteen thousand are going to be able to be part of that in live and in person but that's a that's a lifelong memory and it's going to be different. It's not gonNA be exactly what we wanted. But. It is. Something was really important to says a franchise and I will speak for family on that I mean that was that was a big driver on figure out a way to get our fans in safely. They need to be part of this, and that's been a big driver for us as a business. San. Mateo and San. Marcus don't this just to take from from your leadoff thing about the fans you mentioned that it's GonNa take compliance to make this work what sort of the process of enforceability for those that aren't being compliant in the stadium. Yeah. So we'RE GONNA continue to learn and continue to. Try to understand. How we can better force that. As again again, I'll I'll say the you'll see some new things. This weekend was sign aging with more staffing focused on that issue specifically walking up and down the aisles making sure they're they're just reminding people. To put their masks on we don't want to be in a situation where we're. Evicting someone or arresting someone or anything like that. But we think that we have enough systems of communication place where we can enforce that. It's to protect all of us. And we can get into some science conversations about. Distance and volume in one of the big things we have to advantages we're an outdoor stadium. but we also have to listen to the experts. The experts were telling US yeah you're outdoor stadium but you're not just sitting eating dinner you're standing and cheering and yelling and screaming, and those are all things factor into the risks associated and those risks are significantly decreased if you were a mask. So those are the kind of things refocused on. Closing out with certain Petra Gladsden. Mark thank you for the time. Like everyone said, we appreciate you taking the time out today. I'm curious just specifically, you touched a little bit on the subject of you know when the question was asked about the Dallas soccer team kind of the reaction I spoke with one reported the other day who said that he has spoken with the Players Association and that they are definitely planning demonstrations that they are coming. Assuming that's the case. Are you going to be working with them to be a part of that demonstration? We had bill Brian. In Houston say he will be meeting with his players are are the chiefs coaching staff the organization Clark Hunt working actively to be a part of the demonstration or is it simply going to be a case where you stand back and say, okay whatever you guys WanNa do do it. I'd go back to. Some of the things we said. When all of this started to become as big an issue as it's become. And is definitely something that needs to be addressed. It's definitely simply needs our attention. If you go back to what end of May beginning June. A We as an organization. We sat and talked about this as an organization players, coaches, football operations staff, our own executive staff, and we made a decision to shut our website down. And and just say right now, the important thing is to really one of our principals unite our community. Unity is more important now than ever and we need to continue to do that and that's been our theme. When the players video came out early on in this process, I was really proud to be part of the team that said we gotTA. We gotTA support this. We got to go out with a staving with the first day I believe the first. Team. In the National Football League to respond to that video and. Most proud of the message we sent that night and it was late at night and it was Clark myself and a few others on phone call just saying. The message. We want people here in the message. Want our players to here is that we love..

Any discussion with them about why they don't have stores in the third district, and since you all reside in the Fifth District I know both Patrick entire enough credits you would spearheading voter registration drive I'm more interested in specifics not generalities on this but again, you are reside in the third district I appreciate everything that you all are doing nationwide however as a voter as a resident and a former committee man someone who's around local and national campaigns what have you all done specifically To this point and who are some of the powerbrokers within the third and Fifth District that you've met with a regarding registered voters because I? Haven't seen anything personally I've offer my services to help a registered voters because I've done that before and then finally within that we seventy days until election day what can we expect from the organization and a team? On. Election. Day that will help African American voters in Kansas City in third and fifth. District. Get out to the polls because it's not necessary in overland. Park Olathe Blue Springs North Kansas City. So I like some specific able to give that. Okay I might ask you to remind me. Let me start with voter registration. And I probably disagree with you that it's not unnecessary in other in other communities because. Suppression Suppression less registeration in photo engagement. I personally believe is very important. and. The people exercising the right to vote I personally believe is very important. To your question what we're doing and how we're doing it So I, think Patrick Tiring others really proud I personally and I know we're really proud to be associated with those guys in in their efforts I appreciate the they've mentioned that we've had those discussions and I've been in those discussions. We have some plans to do things in around this election that are going to be focused on number one awareness. Of the importance of voting. Number two creating awareness of the ways people can register to vote the ways people can engage and doing that through the experts in that space rise devote some of the League is working with somebody we are actively working with today they've met with us as organization, their male our players are going to meet with our staff as well as our stadium staff to make sure they're maze aware of the opportunities they have to register to vote and to vote. To your question on third district I think one of the most compelling things we can do to address that directly. Is We've got a plan right now, which is not final and I'll share with you all were committed to doing it. But, it has some challenges. We WanNA make arrowhead a polling location. We want to create an opportunity for people to come to Arrowhead and vote. And in addition to that with awareness, you're GONNA see a lot of things around the highest points of awareness for us as an organization they're getting focused on voting and the awareness of voting and ways to vote one of the reasons that I personally and I think this organization believes that that's a that's a platform that we need to get behind is the beauty of the vote. You can have different opinions you can vote for different people but vote, and that's really what we're trying to engage in. Your question, a heavy we've had a lot of discussions about harvey and their expansion plans I. honestly don't have a specific answer for you on whether they've looked at those districts We've been working for many years since I've gotten here with leaders in the city on the food desert issue, and how do we create more opportunities to create healthy options within those communities. And your first question was about as you put it price gouging. So. Let me just say this on on that issue because I've seen some reports on it. What we did in putting together our plan for how do we take a stadium from seventy, six, seventy, five, seventy, six, thousand seats down to sixteen thousand seats and equally, and fairly distribute those tickets are season ticket members. As you can imagine when you do the math, it's pretty quickly you can't. So what we did was we said all season ticket members will have the opportunity to move their tickets to twenty one. There'll be benefits and incentives to do that. We've locked in their pricing flat pricing for next year, they have the opportunity to win free tickets to games on. There are a lot of different benefits that are in the season ticket. Sales staff has done a great job on. And then we sat down and said, how do we make this fair and equitable in terms of the tickets we do have. On the pricing issue. In May when our schedule May winter schedule was released. We announced our single game ticket price. In May. When we announced those prices, we are assuming we're going to have seventy, six thousand people in the stadium and those prices were based on a lot very complicated algorithms and data. We use to understand the market and understand what the value of those tickets are in this Martin. Before we reduced to sixteen thousand seats before we went through any of these changes. We set those prices. Those prices. We haven't changed those prices. They're exactly what they were. Those are single game prices and they're based on the value of those tickets in the marketplace. I know there's been a lot and we completely understand and expect the response because it is a significant jump. Number One. Value having season ticket having season ticket plant. You have the benefit of those prices, those ticket prices being much below market value, but you're committed to the full season. Single game option gives you the option to pay a little more in some cases a lot worth because you're buying one game. So you're not. You're not obligated by the full season you're buying one game in you're paying with the market rate is now a defend market rate and I think most of you who are in this. Interested in this issue, probably have already done research. Were Cre-. Good from a data standpoint and algorithm standpoint and our team of understanding what the tickets really worth. And being below that number. So even though again, acknowledging that their significant jumps. PERSON BUYS A TICKET TO OUR HOUSTON TEXANS game today at the price that we're selling at. Can put that in secondary market that Mitt and make more money hundreds of dollars more. based. Location in some cases, you know four hundred dollar ticket is going thousand dollars on the secondary marketplace..

"Mike, Qalacha like it's just like you know veteran guys who who know how to do their pros pros and Alan we're just rolling out there good stuff. I guess we got time for a couple more. We're going to go from the top. And then Pete's quite certain. Eric. You've been fortunate enough to have the continuity, the same coach, same old line coach and everything, and they always talk about like when guys go down the offensive line that hey, you know we're ready to plug anybody we talked Mitchell Schwartz. He talked about taking a couple of reps here and there being able the move up and down the line but two things one left tackle. Do you take any reps anywhere else or is that the one spot where you get to take all the reps at your spot and then if you could just kind of breakdown what the challenges are you had a couple of different left guards next year. Last year what what? What what the challenges are, when a guy does come in and it is a change maybe mid game. Yeah. I guess to your first question I haven't taken a rep adding more but left tackle for six years So you know getting that down pretty pat and and then was other questions. Yeah when you look at my situation last year, you know. Mid Week injury then in surgery I go down Great Games plug in there that's just life on the offensive lying it's it's. We don't want it to happen, but it's definitely a possibility in. I. Mean what we do in the trenches isn't easy as isn't easy on the body and sometimes stuff happens and Got To keep moving forward I mean that's just kind of the way of life. You. Can't. Dwell on things you got to. Figure out the situation make the best of the situation and keep bunk keep on moving forward. It's going to eat sweeney to close it out go pete. Eric. I understand. This is a general question but when you go into year eight, what goals can can you set for yourself to make sure you're you're continuing to challenge yourself? With all this time last season I've had a chance to reflect on you know. The girls I've had my career going from the first overall pick, and then worked my way up pro ball win in the Super Bowl. Obviously the all pro tickets out there you know. So I think. Obviously. The number one goal is get to the Super Bowl and win the super bowl of AF- residence individual if I could you know, find a way to another mother pro bowl another or to have my first all pro year You know it'd be some special something I'm working four. And then just to keep building and being consistent you know staying on top of my staff get complacent not saying, okay. Preached my potential. Just keep building on what has been building on for eight years. As. We appreciate the.

"president mark donovan" Discussed on The Adam Schefter Podcast

"On this week's Adam Schefter podcast. We will look back at a shocking week in the NFL in which the Kansas City Chiefs twenty three year old Pro Bowl running back bream hunt after shocking video was released on Friday from TMZ that showed hunt kicking shoving and pushing a woman we will have on the chiefs offensive Eric the enemy talk about where the chiefs go from here. What answers he expects to find in his backfield? And then on Sunday the Green Bay Packers for the first time in franchise history Vira coach in season and not just any coach. But a coach that helped them win the Super Bowl. We will also be joined like Charles Woodson won a Super Bowl Ingram bay plane from Mike McCarthy as Woodson what's back on what type of coach McCarthy was and what went wrong during his time in Green Bay, and we'll be joined by the ears. ESPN NFL researcher. Evan Kaplan who previews week fourteen big week in the NFL. But first we start with the offense coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs in offense that's been nearly unstoppable. This season. A man that has helped lead it along chiefs offensive coordinator, Eric b enemy Eric, Adam. How you doing time? No speak. I know our relationship spans back twenty eight years by my count goes back, a long ways, I remember you on your the rushing machine, Eric, and you know, what I don't know people that you were a great college running back, a great college running back appreciate that. But that was many years ago in many pounds ago too. Are you telling me, you you still can go out there and get us a hundred on Sunday. I got to carries to carries one may go for four plus and the other one I might just say taking the. So what what was it like the whole weekend the whole weekend going through everything that happened leaning into Sunday having to play game like that? What was that whole experience viewer? Ick. You know, what we've we've prided ourselves here as an organization coterie president Mark Donovan, I mean, a whole entire organization is just making sure that we eliminate distractions and keep moving forward guys. I thought I played outstanding job, but just stay focused on the game plan. Stan focus on what we needed to accomplish. And that was just to come away with a victory of we needed to get done in Oakland. And what did you think of the way Spencer where Damian Williams performed against the raiders on Sunday? And the way you'll need them to perform going forward into the future. One thing. I thought about both those guys obviously being with Spencer. We knew Spence rise to the occasion. But just no one knows to with the attitude and the determine mindset that they both play with. I thought they did a heck of a job. Now, they're both tell you. Hey, you know, what we may have left a player to out there. One thing. I always look at is. What are those? What are those guys doing wanna ball? Is not in their hands about the two of them in a great job of picking up some blitzes. And then on top of that just a second effort runs in the second effort plays that they made, you know, proud of them and understanding, hey, you know, what this is their role next man up mentality. We keep it moving forward. What is the biggest area, Eric where you've been impressed with Patrick Mahomes? You know, what one thing I, and I've I've said this since day one first of all his his his ability to recall everything I mean, his vision, he sees it. He can tell you exactly what took place on whatever particular play you ask him about. He can tell you exactly what coverage if he made a mistake. He can tell you. Hey, I probably should've went here because the safety was there. And this guy was playing this type of ethnic his recall is unbelievable. But also to just his competitive spirit. I mean, he's a fun loving kid that loves the compete and on top of that shift. It's one of those deals that hey, you know, what if he can go play in the parking lot every day, and and for for I don't just to say, hey, for bragging rights, he would love to go out there and do that here. So somebody in your organization describe it to me this morning..
