"Thanks, right. It was too long of a deal. So I personally I mean, who knows, Right? We don't really know how the shot you take the deal. That's less. But, yeah, I don't know what the disconnect is really on the foreign five years because if you look at the DAC argument He wanted for because he believes in himself, and he wants to get that next contract as soon as possible with the TV deal expiring, Okay, get that. The Cowboys. It wasn't as if they were saying, We don't believe in you. They just wanted to give him a five year deal because they wanted to keep him probably at that number that even though it may look like a big contract the first two years whenever you get to that new TV contract Then you get maybe a year or two where the salary is, is better to manage than having to give him a bigger contract A year sooner. So, really, I never really got the disconnect on the four or five years. And yes, you could say Jerry should have just given him a four year deal. But there must have been some reason behind this. But it wasn't because the Cowboys didn't believe in Dak. They wanted to give him an extra year and they wanted to pay in $35 million a year, So it's fair to say Jack, betting on himself and his mind. He thought it was the right decision. I'm not going to question it now. Just because he got hurt. On the other hand, I'm not gonna lambaste Jerry Jones, which trust me. I'll be the first one to do so. I love you. Beating up on Jerry Jones. I love making in a national punching bag. It's always fun, but in this case, I'm not going to get on the radio today and say Shame on Jerry Jones. If anything, Jerry Jones believed in Dak Prescott. Now It's just looking back and you have to blame someone, and there's really no one to blame here. Doc was betting on himself and Jerry felt in his ways that he don't want to give him a four year deal, so I don't get And trace. Maybe you could explain this to me. I don't get why today people are saying Shame on Jerry Jones. Well, this guy was was the first one to believe in Jack Prescott. Zach use animals coached Zack Zack, You just answered your own question. You just said it. People always look for someone to blame. This is a situation you said it perfectly. There's no one to blame. Football is a contact sports of violence for injuries to happen, Quarterbacks less than less like with him or but injuries to happen. Jack Battle himself hoping was gonna get injured. He got injured like that. Unfortunate. Like you said, You can't blame deck. He's been himself campaign the Cowboys If both were on you know how their number said neither one to budge, Okay. Neither wants a bunch. You got, You know what you're doing, and like, you said, Because there's no one to blame. Now. It's all Jerry Jones. He really screwed as well. Acting really come to table either and still to this day. I am still surprised They didn't get that deal done because the Cowboys believe in Jack and Jack wanted to be a cowboy. You would have thought they would have got it done, But maybe Dad looked at it. I'll play in the franchise tag for two years. Get a crap load of money. I'll play well and they'll give me a new deal afterwards. Which is going to be on my terms. Kuze and even still, that's still manned of winning. If he's on the franchise tag next year. Yes, you don't see him suffer an injury, but it's the same situation is most likely he would have been next year. And then if you play well or even just good. Next year. You'll get the deal that you want. Because you're still young. They're not gonna pass up on you. So I think the contract stuff gets overblown here a little bit. I do now, if Dad can't Return, and maybe there's a lot of complications with this. And next year on that franchise tag deal. He looks terrible. Maybe don't give it to him. But with how young of a quarterback he is, and how much he's beloved in that locker room. I don't see Andy Dalton and being the starting quarterback for the Cowboys next year. They will be Dak, and it's probably gonna be Dak for the foreseeable future. And even even if the Cowboys elected pass up and move on from deck after next year when he when he comes back If the place when you're the franchise back in there, and they don't think he's good, he's still going to find another landing spot. One day in this league. The guy's 27 years old. Yes, this is not ideal. Yes, this stinks. I don't think Jerry Jones is to blame for this. I don't I don't think that's the blame. It's an unfortunate thing that happens in this game. All right. We'll talk brownies later on the show, and just the DAK is stories the biggest story of the day today. We come on back, we'll get more of the Cowboys perspective will talk more about that. "Excitement over what's on tap over the next three hours will there be a major league season and if so what will it look like the most plugin do decide if rob Manfred will tell us what's it like to be playing actual professional baseball games right now we're going halfway around the world to talk with someone who is doing it plus the newest head basketball coach in the ACC and the best head football coach in the pac twelve will both join us advice efficiently set the table Taylor yes you have especially since you're what I live for D. consecutive Sundays have not been invited to the party with not as the last dance so we're going to provide you as much color commentary that we can give you over the next two hours at least has the third hour I don't sometimes I fall asleep standing up Kevin you know yet goes all bets are off for the third hour there's no question about frankly I wasn't even aware that there was a show on tonight on ESPN was garnering a lot of attention speaking Taylor speaking of attention how bout them cowboys last night on real deciding former Cincinnati Bengal Andy Dalton to a one year seven million dollar deal three bill of that is guaranteed your reaction to that Taylor was what ha literally huh thank you it's Kevin it's remarkable to me that we that the cowboys are doing everything else other than get dak Prescott signed now what we don't know because there hasn't been a lot it with all due respect I need to make sure we you what I make this abundantly clear whether or not we criticize dak right now we're not we're not taking away from the fact that he is mourning the loss of his brother I understand that we're strictly talking about the business of football the business the Dallas Cowboys and that relationship we understand the human element there however when it comes to negotiating this kind of contract it takes two to tango and what you want I don't know what the public doesn't know what are the parameters why is this thing still not being taught done like I I understand the franchise tag of over thirty thirty and a half million roughly thirty one million dollars I get that right so no problem but not nobody knows other than their signing everybody they signed a player on the defensive side of things Kevin that has a bit of football for how many years yeah they're signing everybody in the last place I thought he'd be Dalton was going to go was Dallas everyone's told me while he was gonna get traded to Chicago that fell through so they went Nick Foles I'm here in the chats I'm here the jags because a Jay Gruden and then I'm here on wall if the pats are even interested which you and I know this being up in the northeast I don't think they ever were interested but when it when I heard the cowboys I said hall like this it doesn't add up to me he was born and raised in Katy Texas played his college football TCU lives in the Dallas area so that was sort of the one where people said you know what on certain time right now maybe it made a lot of sense and then tailor the you know the other the other school of thought which was thrown out there is a teddy Bridgewater went to a pretty good situation last year in New Orleans and he showed flashes when he got the opportunity in the preseason at times during the regular season and he parlayed that into a starting job in Carolina and a very lucrative deal there as well so there's some thinking that if Andy Dalton goes to Dallas and the cowboys have success Dalton parlays that and by the way Taylor if there were to be an injury dak Prescott Alton is set up I mean they they've got an outstanding receiving corps that got better when they drafted CD lab and they have a Z. kilo yet and they've got a great offensive line so it made a lot of sense in my opinion from Dalton standpoint the question is Taylor do you view this as a leverage play on jacket anyway is Dallas sending Prescott some sort of message or did the cowboys simply go out inside the best available backup quarterback I mean how do you not take it as leverage I I don't understand how you can't you know if you sit there if I'm dak Prescott I'm in this situation and you go do that well where's that back up in the last two or three years you can go out of the market inside the number one backup available new get Daddy in a poll that and and you also go you said it from the headlights seven million obviously three of that's guaranteed I I look at it two ways he and I agreed to all of the Andy Dalton point I'm not sure I'm going to Jacksonville if I made a doll don't get care less if you offer me ten twelve thirteen nineteen eighties made the money I I'm not doing that the jets is an interesting one I will I will say that much however the cowboys okay it's local it's fine Dallas explaining that to me it says two things one it is it is sending a message I don't care how you slice it didn't they can publicly tell me one way or the other it's not but to they're going all in right E. there they are giving themselves an insurance that if dak Prescott holds out they've got someone and if dak Prescott gets injured they've got not not dak Prescott knock on wood what is it sixty four to sixty four games he started right so I I he he's durable it's arguably one of his best qualities right is it the best ability is durability we've heard that numerous amount of times from accent of all players I just look at it I'm sorry Kevin I look at it and say how how is it not the Dallas Cowboys trying to send a message to dak Prescott this camp now to be fair Dallas has sent a message to dak Prescott and his camp we want you here long term now they it's not as if the cowboys haven't made offers to that Barros got they've they've been extremely lucrative offers in which according to reports Prescott's camp has turned down you don't revert to be north of thirty million dollars per season much like the the the the tender which is in the neighborhood as Taylor said of thirty one thirty two thirty three million dollars a year Seoul Prescott has been given offers by the team of the team is steadfast that that they will sign him long term but I'm with you tale I mean listen you don't bring a guy who had success in Cincinnati he wasn't the answer in Cincinnati but he had success he had a better than five hundred record as a starting quarterback with the Bengals and led them to some pretty good years Hey you don't bring a guy like that A. as end and not intend to send some sort of message like you said a deck if you're thinking of holding out believe me plan B. here is the best plan B. in the NFL so I'm with you on that I I think Dallas wants Prescott in the full long term but I also think that this was a little bit of motivation on their part absolutely absolutely especially with the unknown part of whether or not to act is going to show up no I know Edward or on Sunday morning on ESPN radio today he actually said that the cowboys are bringing in Dalton the backup not start I think a lot of people have interpreted it as a as a not so subtle thinly veiled shot at dak Prescott to sign a long term contract agreement with the cowboys you know he is the only quarterback in the history of the franchise that they've been unable to sign the first franchise tagged quarterback in cowboys history but I I think if you look at I think everything is revealed if you look at the circumstances of the contract numbers on one hand they've offered dak Prescott a multi year contract that would make him the highest paid player in the entire NFL decided you don't want to a one year contract that guarantees M. three million dollars so one to me is a contract for a franchise quarterback and the other is a routine deal brought back up wanting to reestablish his value in a league where there's no other option no opportunity to start at the moment see the most difficult part of all of this Kevin is when you hear it borders say about do you know the offer from the cowboys to deck press got the highest paid player in the NFL it in in that's history history you and I both know it it's when your number's called that turns into that deal right everyone trump's one another but what I'm hearing from so many agents in that world is that everyone's waiting for the new television revenue number and so that's why even when you hear the rumors of pap the homes of what he's going to try to get from the chiefs they're gonna wait a little bit they want to see what that revenue number is because obviously a lot of that that huge percentage of that it's going to go quarterbacks I don't care how you slice it I don't care which way you look at it still message you've played sports Kevin you've played at a at a at a good level I've played at a high at a good level how does that press got a look at this and say wait a minute I I know he's not coming in to start I know in the daltons that but still that's not like some Joe schmo off the defeated Dalton got to the playoffs now you and I could both have it probably have an entire sub segment on whether or not any Dalton is good enough to take the cowboys still biased but that's neither here nor there any Dalton is serviceable and if dak Prescott doesn't show up or he gets injured I'd still argue the cowboys in the same spot they are with tact because of Andy Dalton at quarterback and Taylor you know how it goes I mean you know don't let the cowboys store into and don't let dak Prescott Zach not play well those first two games you to help fans can be if fans will be there you're right and by the way about the bears yesterday declining the fifth year option on Mitchell Trubisky speaking of quarterbacks for the twenty twenty one season means to be a free agent at the end of the year Hey Taylor I mean that's almost inconceivable that the number two overall pick in the twenty seventeen draft which by the way the top of that draft is unbelievably bad four of the five guys in that draft did not have their fifty year options picked up and by the way among the players take it outside the top five that you're Christian McCaffrey Patrick Mahomes deshaun Watson Davey is white the whole draft wasn't bad the top of the draft appears to be bad but about about the bears cutting the cutting ties but declining the fifth year option a Trubisky well they're looking at it right in in there already once Nick Foles came in that you knew that Trubisky was in trouble but you said it best the wheat you trade in to the second pick to go get that I'm sorry that that your jobs on the line if not already gone because that is who yeah as a general manager that's how you hang your hat that's what you hang your hat on that's literally what you're doing however a lot of people screwed up in that draft and that's what's interesting Kevin when you look at that entire draft there were a lot of this is in the first five or six picks so does the general manager for the Chicago Bears weathered the storm so to speak but that was a mess one hundred percent of miss could you traded up instill that take deshaun Watson R. or Pat Mahomes and it speaks to the desperation of teams who haven't had a franchise quarterback and their desire to want to get one right I mean I think they trade up to get a guy who they think might be the franchise he didn't have a great body of work in North Carolina he really had one year on solid year it wasn't even a great year and day and there and there is that in until you know as well as I you can't miss on the number two pick in the NFL draft you can't and be competitive and it's where the bears by themselves right now by the way Solomon Thomas Corey Davis yeah among the other players taken in the top five you with with all the evaluators that we have it all the tools at their disposal all the time we have in the scouts in the tape how do you swing and miss that badly I don't know I don't know it's a real mess but you said it best though that draft was a real mess and that begs the question of what really went on and it also goes back to what we talked about for so often who last five six seven weeks into the NFL draft is the Washington Redskins at number two take the sure thing yeah thankfully they took chase young he is the sure thing because when you miss at the quarterback spot it put your franchise it back two or three years speaking of quarterbacks is Jarrett Stidham ready to follow potentially the greatest act in football history where do you hear what is former head coach is saying about that that's coming up next on ESPN radio end the ESPN app ESPN.

"Are brimming with excitement over what's on tap over the next three hours will there be a major league season and if so what will it look like the most plugin do decide if rob Manfred will tell us what's it like to be playing actual professional baseball games right now we're going halfway around the world to talk with someone who is doing it plus the newest head basketball coach in the ACC and the best head football coach in the pac twelve will both join us advice efficiently set the table Taylor yes you have especially since you're what I live for the consecutive Sundays have not been invited to the party known as the last dance so we're going to provide you as much color commentary with that we can give you over the next two hours at least has the third hour I don't sometimes I fall asleep standing up Kevin you know yeah it was all bets are off for the third hour of the show what about frankly I wasn't even aware that there was a show on tonight ordering a lot of attention speaking Taylor speaking of attention how bout them cowboys last night aren't real the signing of former Cincinnati Bengal eighty Dalton tool one year seven million dollar deal three mil of that is guaranteed your reaction to that Taylor was one ha literally huh thank you it's Kevin it's remarkable to me that we that the cowboys are doing everything else other than get dak Prescott site now eight what we don't know because there hasn't been a lot it with all due respect I need to make sure we you when I make this abundantly clear whether or not we criticized Jack right now we're not we're not taking away from the fact that he is mourning the loss of his brother I understand that we're strictly talking about the business of football the business the Dallas Cowboys and that relationship we understand the human element there however when it comes to negotiating this kind of contract it takes two to tango and what you want I don't know what the public doesn't know what are the parameters why is this thing still not being taught done like I I understand the franchise tag of over thirty thirty and a half million roughly thirty one million dollars I get that right so no problem but not nobody knows other than their signing everybody they signed a player on the defensive side of things Kevin that has a bit of football for how many years yeah they're signing everybody in the last place I thought he'd be dog was going to go was Dallas everyone's told me while he was gonna get traded to Chicago that fell through so they what Nick Foles I'm here in the chats I'm here the jacks because a Jay Gruden and then I'm here on wall if the pats are even interested which you and I know this being up in the northeast I don't think they ever were interested but when you when I heard the cowboys I said ha like this it doesn't add up to me he was born and raised in Katy Texas played his college football TCU lives in the Dallas area so that was sort of the one where people said you know what on certain time right now maybe it made a lot of sense and then tailor the you know the other the other school of thought which was thrown out there is a teddy Bridgewater went to a pretty good situation last year in New Orleans and he showed flashes when he got the opportunity in the preseason at times during the regular season and he parlayed that into a starting job in Carolina and a very lucrative deal there is well so there's some thinking that if Andy Dalton goes to Dallas and the cowboys have success Dalton parlays that and by the way Taylor if there were to be an injury dak Prescott Alton is set up I mean they they've got an outstanding receiving corps that got better when they drafted CD lab and they have the Z. kilo yet and they've got a great offense of line so it made a lot of sense in my opinion from Dalton standpoint the question is Taylor do you view this as a leverage play on jacket anyway is Dallas sending Prescott some sort of message or did the cowboys simply go out inside the best available backup quarterback I mean how do you not take it as leverage I I don't understand how you can you know if you sit there if I'm dak Prescott I'm in this situation and you go and do that well where's that back up in the last two or three years you can go out of the market inside the number one backup available indicate that EA in a poll that it and you also go you said from the headlines seven million obviously three of that's guaranteed I I look at it two ways he and I agree with you all and Hindi dot the point I'm not sure I'm going to Jacksonville if I made the doll don't get careless if you offer me ten twelve thirteen nineteen eighties made the money I I'm not doing that the jets is an interesting one I will I will say that much however the cowboys okay it's local it's fine Dallas explaining that to me it says two things one it is it is sending a message I don't care how you slice it been taken publicly tell me one way or the other it's not too they're going all went right in there they are giving themselves an insurance that if dak Prescott holds out they've got someone and if dak Prescott gets injured they've got not not dak Prescott knock on wood what is it sixty four to sixty four games he started right so I I he he's durable it's arguably one of his best qualities right is it the best ability is durability we've heard that numerous amount of times from accent of all players I just look at it I'm sorry Kevin I look at it and say how how is it not the Dallas Cowboys trying to send a message to dak Prescott this camp not to be fair Dallas has sent a message to dak Prescott it is can't we want you here long term now they it's not as if the cowboys haven't made offers to that Barros got they've they've been extremely lucrative offers in which according to reports Prescott's camp has turned down the river to the north of thirty million dollars per season much like the the the the tender which is in the neighborhood as Taylor said of thirty one thirty two thirty three million dollars a year Seoul Prescott has been given offers by the team of the team is steadfast that that they will sign him long term but I'm with you tale I mean listen you don't bring in a guy who had success in Cincinnati he wasn't the answer in Cincinnati but he had success he had a better than five hundred records starting quarterback with the Bengals and led them to some pretty good years and you don't bring a guy like that A. as end and not intend to send some sort of message like you said a dak if you're thinking of holding out believe me plan B. here is the best place to be in the NFL so I'm with you on I I think Dallas wants Prescott in the full long term but I also think that this was a little bit of motivation on their part absolutely absolutely especially with the unknown part of whether or not to act is going to show up no I know Edward on Sunday morning on ESPN radio today he actually said that the cowboys are bringing in Dalton the backup not start I think a lot of people have interpreted it as a as a not so subtle thinly veiled shot at deck press got to sign a long term contract agreement with the cowboys you know he is the only quarterback in the history of the franchise that they've been unable to sign the first franchise tagged quarterback in cowboys history but I I think if you look at I think everything is revealed if you look at the circumstances of the contract numbers on one hand they've offered dak Prescott a multi year contract that would make him the highest paid player in the entire NFL they signed Andy Dalton to a one year contract that guarantees some three million dollars so one to me is a contract for a franchise quarterback and the other is a routine deal brought back up wanting to reestablish his value in a league where there's no other option no opportunity to start at the moment see the most difficult part of all of this Kevin is when you hear it borders say about do you know the offer from the cowboys to deck press got the highest paid player in the NFL it in in that's history history you and I both know it it's when your number's called that turns into that deal right everyone trump's one another but what I'm hearing from so many agents in that world is that everyone's waiting for the new television revenue number and so that's why even when you hear the rumors of pap the homes of what he's going to try to get from the chiefs they're gonna wait a little bit they want to see what that revenue number is because obviously a lot of that that huge percentage of that it's going to go quarterbacks I don't care how you slice it I don't care which way you look at it it's still message you've played sports coverage you put it in a day at a good level I've played at a high and a good level how does that press got a look at this and say wait a minute I I know he's not coming in to start I know you don't it's not but still that's not like some Joe schmo off the if you don't got to the playoffs now you and I could both have it probably have an entire separate segment on whether or not AT Dalton is good enough to take the cowboys still buyers but that's neither here nor there any Dalton is serviceable and if dak Prescott doesn't show up or he gets injured I'd still argue the cowboys in the same spot they are went back because of Andy Dalton at quarterback Hey Taylor you know how it goes I mean you know it don't let the cowboys stored into and don't let dak Prescott Zach not play well those first two games you know how fans can be if fans will be there you're right and by the way about the bears yesterday declining the fifth year option on Mitchell Trubisky speaking of quarterbacks for the twenty twenty one season each will be a free agent at the end of the year Hey Taylor I mean that's almost inconceivable that the number two overall pick in the twenty seventeen draft which by the way the top of that draft is unbelievably bad four of the five guys in that draft did not have their fifty year options picked up and by the way among the players take it outside the top five that you're Christian McCaffrey Patrick Mahomes deshaun Watson tree Davey is white the whole draft wasn't bad the top of the draft appears to be bad but about about the bears cutting the cutting ties but declining the fifth year option of Trubisky well they're looking at it right in in there already once Nick Foles came in that you do that service he was in trouble but you sent it past the week you trade in to the second pick to go get that I'm sorry that that your jobs on the line if not already gone because that is who as a general manager that's how you hang your hat that's what you hang your hat on that's literally what you're doing how what's her a lot of people screwed up in that draft and that's what's interesting Kevin when you look at that entire draft there were a lot of this is in the first five or six picks so does the general manager for the Chicago Bears weathered the storm so to speak but that was a mess one hundred percent of miss could you traded up instill that take who they think might be the franchise he didn't have a great body of work in North Carolina he really had one year on solid year it wasn't even a great year and they and their and their sat in and tell you does well as I you can't miss on the number two pick in the NFL draft you can't and be competitive and it's where the bears by themselves right now.

"You know discipline tough. You know demanding. It's almost like the you know there's so much thrown onto the cowboys that you know. The fans adore him. They love him. It's almost an infection. They get the feeling that they're pretty good without accomplishing anything. Anything and so when you have that type of failing. I don't know that you're just grinding it out. We we got to win this thing somehow some way. We got a winded. It's almost like they've already won but they haven't won but you're right. This probably is the most talented Dallas team that I've seen in a long Graham which is why a lot of people say they're underachieving. The record they have now but with their talent skill positions there talent on on the offensive. Line the defense that they have coming into every game name. And they're just fighting Nichols pillow fight in the NFC east with the eagles to try to come after that division. Do you think Jason Garrett should be fired. I think the jury is still out talk because you know they should win against Buffalo Today I think it's GonNa come down to December sixteenth when they play Philadelphia if they can win in this division if they can win the division which if they beat Philadelphia they should then as talented is. This team is in the playoffs. Anything can happen. Guaranteed a home playoff game against the team. Shirt surely have a better record. But they'll be a home playoff game if they win the big question in Dallas that's looming. His contract talks for Dak.. Prescott Zach entered the season without one since then he's quietly led the NFL in passing yards. Jerry Jones said quote..

"These chris harrison he's the host of the bachelor and he wanted to clear something up. He has a girlfriend. He's not engaged. I wanted to say what the hell's wrong with. You guys. Why like what what group of guy friends does that. I thought you were in love apparently early. You're not chris. I now see that's something. I would say on my show. You are you opening your heart. I'm here for the right reasons. I'm i'm on this journey then. I'm here for the use of the corny lines that you hear bachelor. Have you ever used in real life now. Although although i will say this i've and i say this now because i am in love i do have a wonderful girlfriend not engaged breaking news. Okay <hes> raking dick's boys comparison in. I have broken up before. There's the lovely lauren zima from tonight but when i was breaking up with someone someone before the i thought to myself like is this good t._v. Is like is this good like what's happening is really the content good and i kind of crossed my mind as oh my god what is wrong with you but i i live my life thinking. Can this be used on the show so i do think of the content has been twenty years of this. I maybe it's not so abnormal but it's that shouldn't be crossing your mind. When you're bringing up with somebody. I would think that'd be a little disingenuous if you say to her. Hey can we do it again. We gotta get a reversal so they can crying. It's not i i need to is when you go down now. I need a really neat to see both when you're yeah now when you have those thoughts. That's not good but you're always around love or attempted love yeah so you're watching. There's past twenty four seven all the time. I would think that would make you either. Go no or yeah like i want that feeling again. It makes makes me appreciate something normal it. I think that is the normalcy. Just someone who i can have a normal existence with and get away from the crazy. Do you find that guys watched the show but don't what mitt they want us to. I feel like more and more guys are now coming out of the closet and i think a lot of that has to do with howard stern. Jimmy kimmel a lot of these athletes n._f._l. Guys are big fans of the show but at first it was it was the hey like my wife. I kind of watch the show. I i've seen it a few times now. The guys are just all in the if you could pick athletes who would be ideal to have on who single. I don't know who's got who's single anymore. I mean because like he's gronk stall on the market or z. off. He's got a girlfriend yeah so it's not really it's kinda like me me. You know it's like yeah we could break them up. You're both in love. Oh yeah so <hes>. Let's see who else who single now because i feel like we're losing a lot of good men out there now but what if you had well you could pick anybody with just their personality like are you looking. Is it personality based. You need a good story like it would be a a good story a feel if you did an athlete a famous face obviously someone that you know the guys would wanna be women would want to be with that that kind of a guy. It's kind of like george clooney brad pitt guy where guys wanna hang girls want to be with him. Who's that guy in sports. Would that be right now. I'm a baker mayfield. I think he might he got married. If he was single baker mayfield degree a dumpster fire had dak prescott jared goff patrick the home like you can have the cheer jeer would be great. He's very quiet though he's quiet reserve guy does that ever work on the bachelor yeah because it's not really as much about the guys as it is about the women so jared might actually be good. I know jerry he's he's a he would be a really good one. Who else dak prescott zach would he do it for thirty thirty million or would he turn it down. Oh i don't know surprised with that. Yes and no i mean could he get more but yet yes but only from the cowboys who else is going to pay him thirty million billion been. I mean that makes them. What number six on the list on my speed quarterbacks matt ryan. I think puts them right around matt ryan physi- the same resumes matt ryan n no maybe he has more upside to be young but i don't know i think thirty million's a pretty nice chuck change for a year's work. He's chris harrison. He is the bachelor and bachelorette lorette host and i guess you got did their punches thrown tomorrow night. Young paradise punches are thrown okay by two models. Okay men male models what happened so these guys jordan and christian <hes> are on the beach in paradise ace and somehow claes involved claves one of our one of our kind of football guys and things get heated and these two models they go off. It was like a bad zoo lander in what happened. I will give it away but did you get involved. I oddly enough no. I sat there so this is really interesting so the control truck which is where i'm watching all this go down is i don't know it's like say quarter mile away about four hundred yards up this hill scientists in there watching and this other executive producer sitting next to me and as soon as it happened he runs out like he was shot out of a cannon to go break this up. You know securities air producer. There and i just sat there watching. Why first of all why are we breaking up. Let them go. Yes yeah it's mexico. I don't think there's any rules to this now. Let's see these models. What are they gonna do scratch each other to death. I'm surprised that they'd be throwing punches. Maybe in their arm like hitting you in the army was resilient like no everything shoulders and below. Keep it in nothing in the face but no it got serious in in. I don't want to give away the end of the fight but one of the models settles really through the guy like impressively took them down like octagon style great take down and what was this over it who is over a pinata dan of course how many fights are started that way it mexican just today just today alone truly. The fight was over a pinata. Gotta it goes deeper than the pinata. There was a woman involved but the the the opinion that broke the camel's back yada well how much there's part of you asu show great restraint because you want content yeah in in in all seriousness. We had to break it up and we stopped at quickly before. It got too serious because we can't have that in. Yes you want the emotion and you want these these people to give you good story but that's not something we can tolerate so we had to break it up. Unfortunately i would let it go a little bit longer. That's just me jimmy garoppolo for the bachelor. Oh he'd be god kidding. That's a home runs just up the road now. The home run yeah. He's so handsome awesome. Tom brady had him traded rapport. He's there something in brady's contract. He has to be best-looking. Tom brady ever fears anybody in the handsome category. I think well i dunno. I think he worried a little bit about jimmy. G. interesting skills feels. He's not going to replace me too. Damn handsome. I think he was a little nervous about jimmy g. on the field to yeah. I think so that's funny but when you see these shows ios in everybody gets together and you're not quite sure what's going to happen. Have you ever had something where you go. Nothing happened like like that's not your goal is to get something to harry. What's what's scary when you when you produce a show and you create a show you know they say it's a game show or or what have you. There's a beginning middle and end. There's a there's a there's a goal you went to reach and and this will have say say survivor dancing with the stars whatever it is. It's a bit of a game show. There is something you're going to get to well with with bachelor and bachelor in paradise you. We have a goal which is a relationship but you really left up to free. Will you don't know if you're going to get that relationship and so every time you go into paradise which is on tonight and tomorrow night. You hope i mean you hope. These people are going to hook up. You hope you're gonna get a relationship. You hope. You're going to get something but you're really not guaranteed. It really is a scary way to go into a show. How did you know so that you had the skills for this. You really don't even know what skill set it is. Curious have any discernible skills because i would have a hard time not going shut up more. I think you know being a dad and being the age finally liam. I've i think i've learned some patients but sometimes it is hard not to just grab them by the scruff of the neck and say come on man. Pull it together or order to these young ladies same thing of what are you doing but watching. This unfold is fascinating. I think that's one of the great things about the show is you're watching. We're all watching something. We've albin through. We've all been that young man young woman who's made those dumb mistakes and for a lot of his we still do we still make really dumb mistakes and so to watch other people go through bruce something we can really relate to his fascinating but how much research to you. How much homework do you do. Do you investigate everybody because the this last dude had like three girlfriends and i'm honestly really more worried about my fantasy drafts in in golf and soccer and football and all that than i am the show i leave that up to the pros but the tough thing about honestly the bachelor and bachelorette you can do a background check legally. That's easy to dive into. Someone have a felony or something like like that. The big picture stuff is easy. It's like you guys just buried me does he have a girlfriend is engaged. Their stuff that is in that gray area of does he have a girlfriend. Well all these people young and good looking so they've all dated. How long ago is too long. How short is too short while he broke up with her here. Well according to her. They're not broken up. There's no way to really tell so you kind of have to take people for their at their word to a certain degree. How surprised were you that this guy had so jed is that we're talking about so jed came back and he he's a nashville country singer. He did a dog jingle and then now he's he brought a guitar to here's the thing <music> when a guy shows up at your proposal with the guitar run yeah but he's auditioning for nashville right right exactly so yeah he he showed up with guitar in he's he admitted as much that he came on to actually promote his career if he fell in love with hannah and then this this girlfriend came out of the woodwork and again you don't know if she's coming for her fifteen minutes of fame..

"Good afternoon. Everybody wants to show still no sign of lane kiffin, stugotz. All right. Go just let it go. I've done that before. Right. You've done it before you forget. Absolutely. Got an appointment to do radio talk show. Six o'clock. Here's you know, we've got some of our loyal listeners at him Twitter time. He'll, he'll no worse right or or his assistant will know. But whatever in the meantime, let it go. We've got lots I'm fine. What posssibility words you the most about the bills heading into two thousand nineteen give us a call or send us a tweet. We'll discuss the Twitter poll is pretty lopsided saying that the lack of a number one wide receiver worries most of our feigns the worst, but a couple of tweets on this in the Kool-Aid said my biggest concern is injuries, especially the Josh Allen, and the linebacker core. The linebacker core is the only position that feel we do not have great depth. I guess I could see that. And here's an interesting tweet from Tom Hollander. Hollander. I can't help. But worry, if the offensive line truly will be fixed aside from a couple of guys we brought in the others are fairly unproven and unknown on top of that. We have no idea if any of them will be compatible ineffective with debut scheme up front. Very good point. I worry about that. I don't lay awake at night toss and turn worry. But I, I wonder I wonder no, I think you do lay awake at night. Well, not for nothing. I care that much, call on the line from rich and Hamburg rich, go ahead. You're on the air. Who's this is this is this rich? Yeah, yeah. It's this March. Yeah, I read this rich rich rich. I tell you. You were talking about the fan Miller yesterday. I know him personally, do you remember, remember the restaurant scurries on Delaware avenue? Scurry snow. I do not. It was nicknamed. It's actually called series. We don't sorry next to the dirty bookstore. Of course not. You mean that Italian place? Yeah, yeah, I remember an Italian place, up there on a Sunday, but I was afraid to look because it was next door to the dirty bookstore. Wife, I'm after Sunday, we clear he come into the restaurant not the bookstore. Right. He's his wife and he had the that's a lawn coach at all. Yeah. Yes. And yes, they used to come in all the time. So I used to be the cook. Okay. Right. And that's how I got to know him. He was all he was a fantastic thing that was supposed to be a good place that never went into it was too close to the bookstore, actually coop. Usually come in Peru. So is chicken chicken liver? Caruso were spare ribs. Wow. Remember, he used to wear the jeans? He'd have a nice shirt with a nice coat. Yep. Or the late? Bob Cousy rich. This is awesome. What else is going on? Well, Josh Allen. Yeah. Is going to have a breakout year this year? You know, I mean, you know, Jim Kelly, he's my all time that means malleable, but I mean, you know, it took a couple of years before, you know, they started doing good. You know they had get the right pieces. So I think Josh Allen, he wants. He has the right pieces eastern. It'd be breakout. Next Jim Kelly quarterback. Okay, rich rich, rich gives idea for a future, Twitter poll, not tomorrow. What would constitute a breakout season for Josh Allen? I mean, what are we looking for a certain number wins, completion percentage, people like to get hung up on that with Josh is certainly you'd like to see more than fifty to fifty three percent. But what would constitute a breakout year, a good, you know, good really good year for Josh Allen this year. Touchdown interception ratio at a certain level where you could break it down to a statistical thing. Yeah. But the only was win loss is does he play cruddy and they go twelve and four. I don't know if that's possible. But you know what I mean does he just play? Okay. And they twelve and four. Four. Interesting or does he does he throw for five thousand yards, you know, with thirty eight touchdowns and three interceptions and, you know, and the team kgo eight so. Yeah, that's it for him in individually. I think that there's a lot of places to go with that. We done that before. I don't think so feels that feels familiar with a lot of Josh Allen questions on the Twitter poll that one that one would be seen again that I've written it down. I would like the know what people, you know, guy like rich big fan like rich what he would consider the real breakout season. What would have to happen? How do you look at it too? I mean, what are you what makes you? Yeah. Yeah. What's it mean? Yeah, yeah. What's it gonna look like interesting NFL? True. Or false time for that now. It is brought to you about these fancy New York's artisan cheese tour. False, hard knocks HBO documentary hard knocks the story on 'em sl dot com. Just recently fourteens that need to get we need to get a look at on hard knocks four teams that I'm sorry. Need card ducks, I don't know of anybody would argue that their team needs to be on hard knocks, but kind of or it, and he says hard knocks is chance to set the narrative, it can make an uninteresting team interesting. It can provide context for a befuddling graphic or a personality devoid head coach, it is as much tool for desperate clubs, as it is a pain for privacy obsessed clubs trying to avoid the flood of cameras and microphones hard knocks training camp. Coming up, again HBO they have yet to announce who it's going to be. But what are the teams that are eligible given that all the eligible? Suggestions are the Oakland Raiders. The New York Giants that attract lions and the Washington Redskins. He says the giants need to be on HBO's hard knocks. And here's why he says, here's my pitch to the giants. You have a veteran PR staff who can handle it. Okay. Dave. Gettleman 's his approach good to get a full picture of him. It's an opportunity to move saquon Barkley into the front of your franchise. Pecking order easing. The Eli manning to Daniel Jones transition and an opportunity for Pat Shurmur to introduce himself to the fan base on a more intimate level giants need to be on HBO hard knock. I wanna start us off. Steve I'm saying true. I think the country needs to see the Dave Gettleman is not a goof that he knows what he's doing. He's a good competent solid football man who made a controversial first round draft pick a couple of weeks ago and all the other things. It'd be great to see Eli manning behind the scenes, I think saquon Barkley should be a household name. He's a great player. I'm. Board with a stroke the giants. I hope our HBO's hard next team this year. I am too. And I'm more pragmatic and cynical about it. You need to get the giants on because everybody's familiar with that franchise because they're on prime time a lot and also it's the number one TV market in America. They're going to get better ratings for that. That's, that's what will happen if they can get, if they can force the giants to do it after all it's happened to them with ally Manfred guy, a lot of people are very sympathetic towards I think that's the exact this exact way to go. So I'm saying true as well. That's, that's that is the team that's number one ranking forgetting hard knocks. That's that means it's probably not going to happen. Probably some of the part to NFL through falsely Cleveland Browns are the team most likely to end their playoff drought sixteen years in counting the team, the NFL's longest postseason drought. We know how that feels. Right. Cleveland, the team that is most likely to end it. That's according to NFL dot com. Got the Brown's number one, the Denver Broncos who are just three years out of their last postseason appearance. Number two. And the jets eight years away from the playoffs. Number three. The Browns are the team most like and their playoff drought ongoing false Steve, I'm going really. Yeah. I don't think I think they're info bit of a shock. I again, we say this a lot about the first year head coach right? Freddie kitchens, kinks to work out a controversial editions guys who might not be all in on the team. Chemistry been talking about mysteries when I'm talking to you. Right. You're right. So I'm saying false. They are not likely to end their playoff drought. I didn't realize it was that long. That's a long time. Yeah. I'm gonna say funny coming from somebody around the bills. While you've been out of the playoffs for a why. Say I'm gonna say the jets are the least likely to end their playoff drought. We've got most like these, the quote most likely. No, I think the I think it is the Cleveland Browns, the talking about the jets and the Denver Broncos. I think the, the, the Cleveland Browns are in with the Baltimore Ravens who whose quarterback doesn't throw it. He runs it there into the, with the Pittsburgh Steelers who have more drama and lost two the to the best players. They have on their offensive side of the football, and the Cincinnati Bengals who have a new head coach and virtually zero star players other than the guy we spoke to today, and he don't, I'm going to say so the Cleveland Browns in that division are the most likely team to have the easiest road to the play offs. And, and I love, you know, we both have a lot of admiration for Baker Mayfield. And he's a good leader. He's the right guy at the right time with the right weapons around him. I think he will. Galvanize that team and help Freddie kitchens, do it. And the fact that they have a first year head coach doesn't scare me. Because we saw Adam gates go to the playoffs with the dolphins in his first year and Sean McDermott go to the playoffs in his first year. I think it's doable these days. So I think yeah, the Cleveland Browns are the most likely. Right. And one more from NFL, true, false, this one, this is according to Chris Carter. Right. All of Famer he says Carson Wentz is the biggest factor that will determine who wins the NFC east. The quote from Chris garner Carson Wentz. It's his time, man. It's time they traded Nick foles. He cannot afford to be injured after being injured the last couple of seasons. His overall leadership people on the team question. He said he's going to make some adjustments. They've added some things got another running back Jordan Howard, who I believe is underrated. He can run the ball himself to Sean Jackson coming back to Philly. He says with all those improvements those changes Chris Carter says it all falls on Carson Wentz shoulders, who wins the NFC about the way the bills have a role to play. You're right. The bills are going to go up against the NFC. So you pay attention to for those two or false. I gotta say true. I think he is the biggest factor. If Carson Wentz healthy and get through the season healthy plays the way he played a couple years ago. They should win that division. Right. Not Washington, right? Not the giants Dallas, the giants aren't really expected to know. I think he's right. I think yours Carter who I rarely agree with. I think he's right about this. It comes down to the, the giants are theoretically from all intensive purposes from outside looking in the giants are rebuilding. I think so. Are the Washington Redskins? They're in a perpetual rebuild Molin with Dwayne Haskins. They got a rookie quarterback. I mean that's, that's not going to go well so that leaves Dallas and Philly Dallas with Dak Prescott Zach and easy kill Elliott. That's a good team. But to beat them I think it's going to fall on Carson Wentz and the eagles and that means Carson Wentz. So when you do the math and look down that division it does kind of fall on Carson Wentz say, well, NFL, true or false brought to you by. He's fancy New York's artists and cheese. Our question of the day, what possibility worries you the most about the Buffalo Bills going into two thousand nineteen what do you think call on the line from Richard in Rochester? Go ahead, Richard. You're on the air this afternoon. I've been looking at your show. Quite a bit the last few weeks and really going. Thank you. Thanks. My question is comparison of, of what we should expect from Josh Allen. I mean he had certainly more experience more game. It'll pressure experience slasher than we probably thought he wouldn't have first year Patrick Mahomes, had less had a really really outstanding year head, obviously a good supporting cast. But I'm I'm I'm kind of saying looking at petrol homes in college. I wasn't so sure he was going to be that good. He seemed like he had a lot of things to work on his.
