"Realm of possibilities when it comes to Jerry Jones, and here's my favorite part of the story. And I saw that you just the end. This too, May so Derek Eagleton, I guess is involved leading their Social media department our their media programming whatever his title, is director of media programming for the Dallas Cowboys. That's what it says on his Twitter. So this is elicited some response. And this is the world we live in. Now. I love these social media videos. Is that the Cowboys? Actually innocuously just put out this video and didn't put that Prescott in. That to me is unfathomable. Really? How do you leave out the quarterback? But I think when I think of the Dallas Cowboys to trace when you think of the Dallas Cowboys, who is the first player that comes to mind nowadays. Dak Prescott, right, for good or for bad Jack Prescott. And even if he's not the first one, you maybe you think, Zeke even though Zeke didn't have all that hot of a season this year, maybe you think warrants on the defense aside the ball For the most part in the NFL. You're thinking about the quarterback first. You're thinking that Prescott Dak Prescott saw in this video. So, Derek Eagleton says This was simply an oversight that should have been caught and corrected by us anyone is making it seem like the Cowboys decision makers use social media videos. To make statements don't understand, or take this time to understand how it all works. Trust me, There's no story here. How many people probably have to approve this video. I'm not saying this is necessarily 100% coming from the top, right? Can you imagine if something leaks out Jerry Jones, a voicemail. A dark. It's Jerry Jones here from the Cowboys. If you want to keep your job, you don't put that Prescott in the video because then we'll have a lot of leverage in our contract situation. That would be gold. We get Kensi, Can we get all the Els at TMZ? However they get their information. Could we get them on that? That audio that we don't have a Jerry Jones probably yelling at this guy, Derek to get that Prescott out of the video that B e mail had. I don't want Derek. I don't want to back in the E mail in the video, Derek Uh, alright. Ultimately. Is this a huge deal? No. But how do you make a video if you're good at your job, and I don't know the extent of the Cowboys Social Media department If you're good at your job, How did you put the face of the franchise? Talking players because the face of the franchise is Jerry Jones. How don't you put the face of the franchise and a hype video for next season when the biggest.

"The jets. steelers. So Luger steelers. You're probably GonNa hit that ten and six mark just about right on if I had to guess I mean I thought after they beat Dallas I was saying eleven five because I was a game they weren't supposed to have before the season started. But. We didn't know what down right now what I'm saying but they won a game and that was not when I picked him at the beginning the season. I thought who had going to be them but sure it of course, no dowse can be that bad. So six eleven to five and I do WanNa see I don't know what they're gonNA. Do with Beckham that really does hurt that offense at being gone. Oh, I don't think it hurts it at all. It's GonNa. No no kidding me anytime you have that that that diva number one receiver there's always pressure especially on these young quarterbacks to get them the ball, but he it's the. Same say mouth and Cleveland. Now, the it's not about running their mouth. It's about the the pressure. That's there. It's the same thing as when Dez Bryant was with Dak Prescott Dak Prescott got better once does left there. Several examples of this were not I'm not saying Beckham is not an excellent talent. One I'm saying is it will allow Baker to spread the ball around the field, and if you look at Baker's numbers without Odell, he's actually a better quarterback when Dell's not in the lineup. That's interesting I. Heard that. That's Maybe. Maybe I don't know I think that's really GonNa hurt them playoff them. It. An in look, there's no there's no denying that it's going to change the way defenses have to play this team. It's going to allow them to to obviously stack the box more against their run knowing that they don't have that threat of Beckham. They still have landry he's a solid receiver but it's it is going to be a little different for the defensive approach And like you said, that will matter come playoff time I. don't think they're going to do anything in the playoffs anyway because the AFC is just very, very top heavy. And two of those teams that are better than they are in their own division and they've already whooped them. So I don't think you know I think. It. Is Cleveland. So get into the playoffs in and of itself is going to be a massive victory We'll see how they do building on that going forward. It'll be interesting to watch for sure. I I think back was really important in this offense because you have Jarvis Landry their boundaries been inconsistent. Yes, he has he has but I think it's going to be better for Baker specifically. I'm not saying it's better for all quarterbacks to lose or it would be better for even most quarterbacks to lose Beckham I think quite the opposite but younger quarterbacks do better job spread the ball around the field I think it's going to be better for for Baker as far as being able to get the ball to players. So we'll see how it goes. We'll see how it goes. That's why they play the game..

"Dak was fourth last year wasn't as good. The year before was not in the top ten. Just in the play offs obviously mahomes a clutch performer, not only winning the Super Bowl, but the way you want to bring his team back three times from big deficits. I don't think you could make any case that compromise. The DAK is anywhere near the same neighborhood as I would agree and I also WANNA. Ask You about the value of Dako Dak Prescott. We were talking about this yesterday here on straight. Outta Vegas and one of the things that was an eye opener for me when I started doing this show was Steve Fezzet. Rj Bell is they would talk about the true value of a player in the NFL in the eyes of Vegas. Because the value of a player in the NFL in the eyes of Vegas is vastly different than it is in the eyes of a fan all right like I may have a favorite team. I may think A. Charger Fan and I think Joey Bosa. Is this amazing all world talent and he's so valuable to the chargers that you cannot lose him, and the bottom line is Joey Bosa is less valuable than tyrod Taylor to the chargers in the eyes of Vegas. He's tyrod Taylor is not even close to being as good of a player at his position as Joey Bosa is, but that's just a reality of what we're talking about. When it is and when Vegas places a value on a player. You talked about the value of Patrick Mahomes for people that didn't hear yesterday. Give us Patrick. Patrick Mahomes is value where it stands historically and then match that up against Dak Prescott right now if you could. Yes, so Patrick, mahomes is worth nine and a half points to the point spread to his backup, so if the chiefs were favored by nine and a with MOMS, and it got reported. Hey mahomes is out and he's got a start. You would see nine point line move. You know the best evidence I can give is just go back last year I it was the packers were at Kansas City last year and I think Green Bay was laying five at. Kansas City when Mahomes was out for that game, so nine and a half points now contrast that with Dak Prescott Dak Prescott very good quarterback, but he has a very good backup an Andy Dalton. Dak, Prescott, only worth two and a half points to the point spread if he was suddenly reported out and Andy. Dalton had to start. That's amazing, so it's a touchdown difference. We're talking touchdown and an extra point difference between Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott, and that's a lot of points when it comes to just that one position the one thing that I would say about the Dak Prescott situation and I have been on on the side of Dak, Prescott this whole way out. Dak Prescott had a better career than Carson Wentz people can think I'm nuts I think he's at a better career. You can match their numbers. You can talk about their performances in the playoffs. Carson wentz still doesn't have a playoff win. He appeared in one playoff game and he got injured. In that one Dak Prescott injured. He's never injured. He's never missed a start. Carson Wentz has got all sorts of issues and I. think that's part of the reason why you saw Philadelphia. Go out and draft. jalen hurts in the draft as high as they did. Because I think there's some questions there as to whether or not Carson Wentz, you can depend on moving forward or if he's got a little bit of the Andrew..

"ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeting at cowboys quarterback dak Prescott dak Prescott is planning to sign his thirty one point four million dollar exclusive franchise tender by Monday obviously both sides will then have until July fifteenth to work out a long term deal but a little bit of clarity into the Dallas Cowboys quarterback situation after that Prescott was franchise tagged back in March ahead of free agency Cordy crowded and jammed ladder keeping you company here on father's day on ESPN radio presented by progressive insurance as you heard when we were coming back to the topic of conversation continues to be where does Jamal Adams want to go and die because it's clearly not the New York Jets anymore Jenny's been very active on social media and letting people know that he wants to be traded the first round pick from two thousand and seventeen is still under contract with the jets they own is right for the next two seasons I was a bit about the possibility of that being a picking up a potential franchise tag in two thousand twenty two but regardless that's not what Jamal Adams clearly wants so what we're dealing with right now is a situation of a player wanting to receive either a massive extension to get paid like the highest paid safety in the NFL would but what is that asking price is a potentially too high for teams that would want to hear Jeremy Fowler ESPN NFL insider money's gonna be looking for you know a lot of hard figures I wanted to ask but I have talked to a few people you know about the situation if you believe you're gonna be looking more for like top defense of player money not just off the bottom but I could put him up in like the twenty million dollar range of your own he's a great player but you know profound if you they don't make anything close to that well some teams might not want to pay that plus the high draft capital one of the other major hurdles specially because of the dynamic of this offseason yeah I mean Jerry brings up the the obvious here with the covert pandemic that has delayed a lot of contract negotiations especially for players in that two thousand seventeen class which Jamal Adams is a part of we've only seen Christian McCaffrey at this point Gen get the big extension then there's the likes of Alvin Kamara Dalvin cook Kamal added in that same mix in you know he told ESPN's rich the medium reading an article that you know about Patrick Mahomes about to get forty to sixty million dollars a year that's well deserved but quote but don't compare me to QB's if you aren't paying me QB money now does he have a point here because like Jeremy said he wants top defensive player money but we just know that the safety position is just not valued where it would be if you were a pass rusher or you know potentially even you know an outside linebacker who rushes the passer but those are the guys who get top top money not not guys playing in the secondary just doesn't happen that way well there's a lot to unpack their it's interesting that you bring a pass rusher as far as the defense of players who often times get the big contracts because I saw something on Twitter that said that only one other player other than Jamal Adams had two hundred plus tackles ten plus sacks twenty five plus P. B. use in his first three seasons and that was J. J. watt who obviously everybody believes has earned the massive contract that he has so Jamal sees those numbers and says why am I not in the same category as JJ watt if I have the similar numbers to your point the market doesn't dictate that the market says that Hey defensive backs not as valuable and we don't have to pay you as much well it's interesting that we talked about doc Prescott at the beginning though because I feel like once his deal gets signed the cowboys could probably move forward with preparations for the season and potentially make a run at Jamal Adams and I know that that was one of the teams on his list of hopeful destinations right he released this list that had the ravens the cowboys the Texans Kansas city the eagles the forty Niners and the Seahawks as hopeful destinations places he'd like to land I'm always hesitant on these situations when a player of verbalizing vocalize is the fact that they don't want to be where they are while the team still has them under contract and and I still think they have the right to do so they have the right to you know see if they can bark loud enough to encourage their team to make a move but but like the guys have been saying the price is just so high and I don't know that anybody out there is going to be willing to pay that high of a cost for yes the pro bowl to pro ball talent but a Pro Bowl talent in the diff if the defensive back position so where did this all start because a lot of people are asking why Jamal Adams right now are you expressing discontent when you're only you just finish up your third season in the NFL your first round picks the you know the team has you for five years at minimum at that point and if you really are this generational franchise altering talent they're going to want to hold on to you which is very much what the jets are staying right now behind the scenes so but dating back to last year at the trade deadline in October they entertained offers for Adams at that point in the cowboys like you mentioned John for one of those teams that showed interest the reported asking price according to rich Cimini of ESPN center foundation was a first round pick and two second rounders that is a pretty penny for someone for one player let alone but one defensive player who is not a pass rusher and I'm just saying that because we pay our quarterbacks we pay our pass rushers a premium which is just not set at other positions also according to estimated that Adams was irked Beezy felt management had quote misled him into believing he was untouchable so it's out of here all I feel like we hear that all the time right somebody in the front offices told the player that they won't be traded and then lower all their names are floating out there in trade talks at all it does is rile up the player who thought that they were one of the most valuable people there and would never there game would never possibly be honored in trade talks how dare you people forget it's a business it's not personal it's a business of course I mean everybody eat you can you can go down rosters of of the best patriots teams that have played with Tom Brady the asking price for any player Brady included it's always on the table it just depends how much you want to give up for that and like you mentioned that you know he thought like he was you know a franchise altering player that you know they would never want to get rid of them I mean we heard that same rhetoric the team that I cover up in Minnesota you know it was well we have no intent is to trace the fine day he's gonna you know he's a huge part of this franchise he's going to you know help carry forward up you want to do offensively and lo and behold two days before free agency Stefon Diggs traded as the you know hours break it to midnight I mean if the asking prices there and if one of those teams want.

"I think can be a good team so those are some of the teams to look for if he is trade an Intel. They've been scouting him for a number years not only for the draft but he's in the division so I'm I'm sure they have all the information on him wouldn't be surprised if they did that with the titans time now for Nick makes a list. Here's how this works Nick Makes L. List today ranking your way too early. NFL MVP candidates two weeks in way too early NFL MVP candidates were an an eighth of the way through the season ever doing this after a quarter of the way through the season. When you WANNA get down the weekly we know because we I give the list? You'll give your commentary. That's how this thing works. Six months. You came up with this whole segment and I'm being drug into no no no no no it. It was literally your idea but we don't need to get to it number seven. That's true check the tape number seven Stefan Gilmore now obviously a defensive player to win. MVP However when you're the best player on defense that is allowing and one point five points per game this season you've gotta give someone on that deepens credit. He also has a pick six. He's only allowed seven catches all the year and I think a forty forty passer rating win targeted number seven the best player on thus far the best defense in the NFL Stefan Gilmore I mean how can you be wrong. Thank you so much number six the man who uses it myself under six myles Garrett Chris. You said he could have a twenty six season. How does a forty six season sound for you because that's what he's on pace for now? Now I think you'll trail off a bit but five sacks through two games he's been the best player on an. Ob Disappointing Brown steam but Amin disappointing because their defense they were playing a great defensive game in week one until Baker through three fourth quarter interceptions hints the jets they own three points myles Garrett five sacks to put in the line through that one already. You can't play play dumb football giving penalty especially on third down giving teams extra possessions. You can't dump the quarterback so no number six. You're going to make a list. I'M GONNA start reject exactly right. That's the that's the idea of the segment number five spoiler alert. It's all quarterbacks run out number five Russell Wilson Hustle Bustle Russell Wilson Awesome. He's been so spectacular. Slow nickname is frontier for no worry about that Russell Wilson he's in. It's what don't worry about it. I shouldn't have said it seventy nine percent passing two hundred fifty yards a game five touchdowns no picks with limited wide receivers the wide receivers that you were concerned going into the or maybe the worst receiving core in the NFC. Let's see one of them after Doug Baldwin retirement there too and now they're I believe the best team in that division Russell Wilson Number five the most underrated player in the NFL number four your guy your guy. Everybody's guy the age list Tom Brady. He's been just quietly sensational again. One twenty five rating hasn't turned the ball over nearly Lee ten yards per pass three hundred yards per game for the team that is Vegas is super bowl favorite. Tom Brady forth on my list for what would be his fourth losing. MVP Tom Brady missed practice some practices they would a calf watch it and just watch okay little calf strain little potential concern number three three Dak Prescott Dak Prescott could argue we should be higher because of the competition they faced and because of how well played in game two..

"I know I really am. I'm screw off Colin. It's great to have. And so I've always been a football guy. My first day I ever went on syndicated radio fifteen years ago to another network. I remember replacing Tony Kornheiser. And I said Cam football guy. However that lands for you. I'm a football guy. Not to say, I don't love an NBA basketball or dole of a big fight. Baseball playoffs are fun. March madness is great, but I'm a football guy. And I'm watching this free agent thing. And I think it's wildly entertaining. Actually the team. I thought is the best was the Green Bay Packers. They got three defensive starters. And and a starter on the offensive line. They went and got four starters three for sure, and they didn't pay a fortune for any of the defensive guys. So I thought Green Bay had a really good free agent signing period. Raiders, obviously made a big splash Cleveland minute big splash. But the thing about this business is if you do marginal homework, you can find out. A lot of nonsense out there. This idea. The New York Giants are going to. Literally be they're going to detonate because del Beckham loss is laughable. They were awful with Odell Beckham. But I just want to remind everybody of this. I'm going to give you a bunch of teams that lost their star wide receiver. Now in some cases, this receivers not as good as del Beckham. But this receiver at least plays every Sunday. Odell Beckham missed sixteen games in two years. It's a real problem. He broke his ankle. He's a speed guy. So New England lost Brandin cooks. He was their speed guy in their deep threat. What happened the following year? They won the Super Bowl the saints loss. Brandin cooks what happened following year? One play from the NFC championship. The Rams lost. Sammy Watkins they got better and went to the Super Bowl the Miami. Dolphins lost their number one receiver. Jarvis Landry six and ten to seven and nine better without him the bears lost alshon Jeffery. They improved by two wins the following year. Philadelphia lost Sean Jackson. Comparable, you know, athletic and style to OB J ten and six and ten and six Calvin Johnson who's going to be a first ballot hall of fame wide receiver retired from the Detroit Lions they went from seven to nine. He laughed. They went nine and seven of the playoffs. The patriots bailed on Randy moss. They went fourteen into without him. Cincinnati bail. Don't know Joe Cinco four and twelve to nine and seven. Now. I think they had AJ green is a rookie coming in. But the point is dead. Bryant left the Cowboys. They got better non-playoff team to playoff team. This idea that you lose star receiver dominant wide receivers often create an unhealthy imbalance where the quarterback becomes paralyzed. Especially in first-half getting him the ball getting him into the game calming down his ego. We saw that with Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott Dak Prescott got better the minute Dez Bryant laughed. Everybody was freaking out even in New York. The giants were four and twelve in their last sixteen games with Odell Beckham junior when he didn't play ally. Manning spread the ball around more. So. I don't ever buy think it's complete nonsense that if you lose your star receiver. It's like anything. Let's say you have a sports card. I've always compared wide receivers to sports cars their flashy. They're popular. But they're not as good. When the weather turns you can't have a convertible sports car out when it's snowing and wide receiver star wide receivers have never dominated the playoffs. Even last year gets cold gets windy your bracket. I mean, basically the patriots took tyreek hill out of the game for Kansas City. And it's like a sports car if somebody took your sports car from you will you just drive your SUV more. Maybe you'd lose a couple of great days. But it's not what you build your franchise around. You don't build your transportation around a Fiat in most of the country, you need an SUV four wheel drive some car that can handle bad weather..

"Sizemore, you can find me on Twitter, you'll find the show at brews in the boys. We're talking about the Cowboys in Rams, but we're also talking about just them changes that are going on right before. Then you had mentioned that Marc Colombo signed a three year deal. So everyone needs to keep their eyes on what the Cowboys coaching staff is going to look like there might be some changes coming through. But the Cowboys they I want. I want to congratulate them on the type of season that they had just because of where they came from. And where they are people don't like those consolation type of a congratulatory, but it is kind of a big deal for them to do what they did. And one of the reasons they did that is because their defense played really really well up into this game with the Rams in. You know, I said I wrote a column on BT be about this being a sobering loss are less than for them. The lesson to sober the hot boys up a little bit. Because they were pretty ice cold in this game. And they never really got the hang of it. They were always kind of chasing. Chasing the running back chasing Sanders. Chasing Todd Gurley. They let two running backs. They let two running backs hit over one hundred yards. The Cowboys had only let five of those those happen all season long two of them in this game and four of them in the last several weeks. They let it happen in the giants game. They are they let it happen again in the. Yeah. And they let these to happen has well, but still the Cowboys run defense was something that they're supposed to be pretty good at but you saw linebackers in pursuit mode all night late and Vander ash who is going to the Pro Bowl. It was announced today that he is. She a Pro Bowl alternate there. Late in Vandross. Just didn't have a great game. The he and Jalen Smith. He didn't have a great game. Either. Sean Lee went in there and things got a little bit even dice here than than they were before this game to me like you had mentioned that it's not Dak Prescott Dak Prescott played pretty well in this game that you can't really blame these this loss on deck. But I just want people to know that some of these things that the defense that you saw Tom and this game these were things that if you would have paid if we would have paid close attention to those last eight games, you could make an argument that the offense carried the defense a lot to that the got things going for the defense that was giving up a lot of a lot of plays in big averages that you did not really think about because of the way they were able to win. You were seeing the defense have struggled for games before this one as you mentioned, they gave up, you know, the hundred tack on Barkley. They were having problems stopping the other team while. Sudden. And I think they need to go in real hard and look at what was happening there and figure out what went wrong, and why what works so brilliantly early in the season just came apart on them yet because you know, back early in the season the Cowboys ranked they were ranked in top ten and everything but takeaways they were top ten in. They were only allowing about eighteen first downs of game. They're allowing three point five average rush per run. They were getting like three sachse game. And they were also keeping quarterbacks under the seven yards per pass. Mark they were they were up there in everything everything you can think of even touchdowns they allowed to be scored. But when you get to those last eight games, that's when the Cowboys really started to struggle a lot. You started to see that they were not getting pressure. They were not getting sacks. They were allowing running backs to go for over four yards of Kerry, they were given two to three more first downs per game that they had done before they were giving up at least another touchdown per game that they had done before. Now they were getting turnover. There's a little they were getting a few turnovers..

"Hold on those don't count sweet those under your could've. Swore of Dax thirty two attempts all in for fifteen yards down the field. So what would have found how many how many quarterbacks do more than that? That's most quarterback. I this. You had a higher yards per attempt than Aaron Rodgers swore hot. Help. We're not talking about a lot of quarterback grain a lot of quarterback out grading this quarterback. So thank you. That's a necessary skill that is very unnecessary. I'm so disappointed in you this morning for interrupting so unbecoming Jerry played outta. You know, why you're better is not easy is not easy playing the quarterback position. And you ask to turn around and hand the ball off forty seven forty eight times. And then on third down come up and try to make throws or try to make grows when you hand the ball five six seven times in a row, and they ask you to turn around and make throws after that. So it's not as easy, but at the end of the day now most quarterbacks tell me, you know, I heard it. I heard that you don't care about new QBR. He'll cut no touchdown care about yards about them. And he came to my restaurant. Oh, really? Handsome. This would mean I've heard that. They come by. You know, who came I had a good old time tiger now. Good game. I had a good old time on with Todd Gurley. The best guy who's running backs. Bagels who by mail. CJ dickerson. On CJ Dickerson, right? Z nine. Did he probably shut down your restaurant? Right. So you'll get Todd Gurley credit. I give him some credit. He's all it carries. He didn't have as many carries. The other guy to see that. What do you let CJ beat him up? Did you come clean them up? So. What's your grade? Skip. I'm going to be really hard on Prescott and give him an a minus. Because I. Model for what he was extrordinary with his resilience and his refused to lose and his warrior spirit and his fight to the finish. I'm never seen in quite like it. They should have gotten run off that grass that night at the Coliseum and he kept them in this game. They're going to the fourth quarter down eight and they got the ball all the way at the thirty five because he's gone, boom. Boom, boom. And it's he went boom on third down to Noah Brown is beautiful throat to the sideline. But no around young receiver couldn't quite fight for the first down. So it's four and a half yard is it Dax Prescott Dak Prescott fault that they took the ball out of his hands and put it back in zeke's hands. Is it his fault that they called the dumbest play in the history of fourth and short, but you hold on skip. Is it his fault? But no, it's not his phone even. Hurt that I promise you. He's going to go score another touchdown. And by the way, can we look at the big picture here. That Prescott goes twenty thirty two to sixty six and he doesn't have the bulgur much because they just get crushed in time a position it's thirty eight to twenty two that that's just extrordinary. So so let's let's look at how much he did with how little he had to do it. And in the two sixty six he does for one touchdown. He runs for another touchdown. He throws a two point conversion, and I get it that that was a potential interception. He just flat out got fooled by the classic zone blitz. Which the Rams do not do very much of when I watched the Rams. I haven't seen him do much of that all year, they just line up with their front foreign come after you, and he's a stand up pass rusher. And usually he's just coming and he dropped back in the ball goes. Right. Tune because he's trying to force it to Amari onto leave. So the point is out give you that one. And I'll give you. He missed throw Gallup to Gallo. He threw it behind him. And he threw it a little behind Kobe's Lee, though, he might have been going to gallop behind Cole. I couldn't really tell and coal couldn't cut the way usually cuts. So I'm gonna give you three bad throws. But how about all the great throws because his QBR that they don't fool around..

He just flat out got fooled by the classic zone blitz which the Rams do not do very much when I watched the Rams I haven't seen him do much of that all year, they just line up with their front foreign come after you, and he's a stand up pass rusher. And usually he's just coming and he dropped back in the ball goes. Right. Tune because he was trying to force it to Amari onto leave. So the point is I'll give you that one. And I'll give you he missed a throw Gallup to Gallup he. He threw it behind him. And he threw it a little behind Colby's Lee, though, he might have been going to gallop behind Cole. I couldn't really tell and coal couldn't cut the way usually guts. So I'm going to give you three bad throws. But how about all the great throws because his QBR? They don't fool around. He hasn't gotten any good QBR's this year. He had very good this year. He had eighty four against the Rams at the Coliseum. Jared Goff had a fifty seven. He crushed him in QB guy there. It was a home game for you..

"And that's what bell doesn't have as far as it doesn't look like guys come back. Tidy come back. We. Tony thousand Eric Dickerson bat moved to the Cowboys when the NFC east after taking care of the buck Sunday Prescott did just enough for Dallas going for a touchdown running for another meanwhile on Saturday. Lamar Jackson threw for two hundred and four yards for the first for over two hundred yards for the first time in the ravens dominant win over the chargers. I'm since Lamar that was dominant says Lamar was named a starter. Both quarterbacks at one five games, but are doing so in completely different styles with the mar- dominating the ground game and Dag doing it through an officiant Aerotech. This is fascinating in terms of which of these two quarterbacks. Do you trust the most headed into the postseason, and it's fascinating. Because one Baltimore is only going to ask Lamar Jackson to do what he can do the would occasionally butt lead that running game. I don't think it'll be enough though in the postseason. That's why I would choose Dak Prescott. Even though I believe he's very limited in the passing game. And even though I think Dallas sometimes ask him to do more than he can do. They're going to put him in harm's way. But eventually you're going to have to make some throws in this Lee. And I just think right now Dax Moore quipped do it than Lamar. I don't think so was in those elements went to the chargers game fully confident because my co host told me ODA rain's gonna get stopped yard charges. Our sitting there with that kind of arrogance. Oh from play one even boy. Hey, ravers look better than the charges. I was like, I know then I was I dig on wake up and realize they're playing a real team. The more Jackson has grown in confidence with his arm. He didn't have I didn't see one errant throw. I saw good incompletions saw balls hitting guys in chess so fast, they dropped it or defenders defenders make tremendous play. But in terms of. Of incompletions and bathrobes he's grown and confidence to pacits that's more for him to underplay charts more for him, and he has a live arm. There's going to be a problem in these playoffs with that defense the way that they control the running game and time of possession and a quarterback who starting to believe that I can throw the ball. He can fling it with the best of. I mean, he could fling it now is it going to be accurate all the time playoff football. We're going to stop the run into tech plan b football yet to be seeing. But in terms of him being one dimensional that was today's news. This do out there and beat the chargers and he beat them because he was a capable quarterback. Even in a positive was incredible. Deepens was incredible. I mean, look which Prescott for sure I mean that could never had. He's only been with threes had never had a losing losing season. She's been there. And I we with you sometime as Dr do too much at that position. But I think he does not he knows that position better. I think he's more of a season quarterback in both. These guys are still really young. I mean, he's in his first year. Lamar Jackson in his first year. And Ozzie Newsome said I told you this before he liked him. When I asked him at the hall of fame. I said tell me about Lamar Jackson. Do you think he can plan NFL you're going to he's going to be like a shotgun quarterback? He said he can play in the national. But he said it's going to take some time. And I don't think he thought it would happen this year, but he is here right now. But still if I wanted to take I would have to take that Prescott. Well, I think the most dangerous one is Lamar Jackson. I mean, just watching him. He's electric and take off. You can go nine yards vs down his own part of the field. But I trust more. It's that Prescott Dak Prescott. He doesn't turn the ball over needed as Lamar. But I think that running game with Zico Elliott. I think that that it kinda saves Dak where he doesn't have to do too much at times the game that they won yesterday..

"Or they need to be held accountable. I mean, I don't think debt clay. Terrible. I mean, he he threw one interception. That was awful that a starting quarterback who were saying gets it and has has the potential to be a franchise quarterback should never make. But I've seen those guys still make that throw because they lock in. And they say, hey, this is the play we've worked all week is always worked in practice on throwing it no matter. What it's so that was one of those situations where he threw that ball. No matter what. And it was God awful it was. But I I don't look at this game and say man if that wasn't a quarterback they win. I look at it. And I say if this playcalling was just a little bit better. They win. They win this game. Or at least they have a chance to win this game. And you don't think so how does that Prescott disappear from the running game and it had been a big part of the running game. And they're committed to that. And then boom it goes away. What do you have to cares for eleven yards scramble? I know for sure it makes no sense the way they're panel. But I'm a big believer in a body of work. Okay. You got it. And that's why I don't like judge and the guy after one year or guy in his contract season. Having a bunch of sacks and making a bunch of plays because I'm like, what have you done for a complete body work over the last couple two three years? And so looking at these guys Jason Gary he's eight Nate coach. It's all there is to it. Yeah. I think he's got go. If you want to see a difference in deck Prescott Dak Prescott what have you done since you had that great offensive line? You have not performed that that line has gotten hurt their for your play has declined. And he needs an offensive line or to be effective. Now, they could help them with the playcalling because he did play well a couple of weeks ago. But even still to this point, I'm not sure he's my franchise quarterback for for Jerry Jones to say that this is our guy going forward like, whoa. Wait a second. "Even if you want to respect fully his rookie season has never been amazing as a quarterback he was protecting the ball. He was winning games and he had a very productive rookie season exceeded expectations. But since then has been average at best and that's being respectful to a guy who did win his rookie season. For me. I'm not looking to the sidelines. I'm not gonna do Dallas has always done blame the coaches start looking at the guys who have had success at times with the staff and needs to return to that. Or they need to be held accountable. I mean, I don't think debt clay. Terrible. I mean, he he threw one interception. "He made the team around him better. Does he still have that same ability? Is he going to be the same quarterback that we've seen. That's like the biggest question. So we'll see about it. But nonetheless, let's get into this desk Bryant and Cleveland Browns talk. So we know when our Josh Gordon, we've covered it. The last couple of days talked about it, Josh Gordon going to counseling. It's been always. I've seen it's because of and mental health issues. I think that has to do with the fact that you got hard knocks coming in. Josh Gordon is basically not played a full season few years. I mean, the Browns went Owen sixteen last season. So I mean a lot of the storylines argon to be surrounding the Browns and all that. But nonetheless, you, Josh Gordon's coming off a substance abuse issues. I mean, that's an easy story for hard knocks to tell throughout training camp, and I was talking with Tate yesterday about it, and he was basically telling me that, I mean, that's a lot of pressure on guy. So that's probably why he's ending up in counseling, but either way the Browns are without their top receiver for the first law, guess until further notice. It's. So then we see John Dorsey. And again, I'm referring back to the pro football talk article. John Dorsey says that Gordon can come back whenever he's ready. I don't think there's really a rush on him and there shouldn't be obviously, this is more important by either way. John Dorsey isn't just sitting back and waiting for Josh Gordon. He's being proactive about it, and he stated that they do have interest in Bryant. And. Makes me happy. I mean Dez Bryant. His last two years in Dallas weren't great. I mean, we don't have to lie about it. We know they were off at least they weren't awful. They were up to death Brian standards because I mean, there was a point in time we're Dez. Bryant was the best receiver in football. And. Now, it's pretty much a man who was once the best receiver of football hasn't been able to find a job. And I figured that once Dow's cut him, he wasn't going to be getting scientist training camp. Anyway. I don't think Dez Bryant is a locker room problem. But of course, the media when you got Dez Bryant yelling on the sidelines, they will portray in that way and that is going to scare some teams. So that's why figured you know what training camp will be when he ends up signing with the team. And there's a point where. I think his time in Dallas, the last two years was like him not being as good as he was doing fact because he did. He was coming off of a foot injury. I believe it was, but not only that you have Alex Smith two point. Oh, playing quarterback for that team talking about Dak Prescott Dak Prescott is a whole lot more cautious than twenty Romo ever was Tony Romo had no problem throwing the ball up to bright and hoping and praying that Dez Bryant came down with that ball. Dak Prescott is not gonna go out and take that chance. So that's why compare him to Alex Smith and me compare them to Alex Smith isn't like a shot that Prescott or anything like that because I think Alex Smith is a top ten quarterback. I mean, you guys know wanna talk about them all the time. I think he's ten, eleven or twelve months quarterbacks. I mean, the do San Francisco to the playoffs could've went to a Super Bowl if it wasn't for Kyle Williams. All right. Sorry. Forty Niners for that bad memory. I mean, he went to the playoffs with chiefs, made it four out of the five years. The blame them not going far in the plan because Andy Reid, there's a point, Andy Reid, great coach, I mean amazing with quarterbacks, but even with his time in Philly, could not get it done in the playoffs. I mean, you got Super Bowl. I think that was his best ever write their best run obviously. But either way, Andy Reid is always had a problem as far as like time management and pretty much just. Getting out of his own way. So, yeah, Alex Smith, a great quarterback, and I think that Prescott is the perfect comparison form..
