Let me give a little bit of a back story so you. Don't you know i. I was shitting on mikey for doing so. Well in this past event that he had to go and dig out the all time rating stats against. Pw scorecards just so he could be like listen man just because i shit the bed. This one time. I've been carrying this team. The rest you know my my my slight you know. Taunting him for to motivate him to do better backfired in my face. It also made me realize that. I'm doing way better than i thought it was. Your fourth overall in points smitty. You're doing horribly actually. I'm only what has gotta go saying. Yeah but you're also towards the bottom of the list of poyet's yeah like walter. The only one doing worse than you in our team. That means you're not doing well. An an all ten of us your number eight but cool not having goosing. I got two of them. I got i got one raw. I got one. And i'm in fourth. So he's going to say that makes me a good supporting and had had. I pick guard ghana to win that match. I would've taken the whole. Ps w community coulda woulda shoulda man. It's a it's crazy though with said we're still lead. We're up to seventy five to to thirty three. Nick was like and there's only one event left it's tlc. So nick goes. Hey doesn't that mean that. Technically scorecards can't win and i'm like no because they or one through five and win it. Yeah to destroy plus q guys tie at number one and that's thirty points right there because number one gets fifteen months so we're not out of the woods yet. I'm confident but it doesn't mean like right. now we are. We could be the lions going into the fourth quarter. Okay don't compare us to those bumps. hey we're talking about man there. Possibly in the wildcard sound. Like i'm saying we're the atlanta falcons going into the fourth quarter. What's the difference. Lavar shot at the playoffs. Not the other one was in the super bowl up by forty five looking like a cakewalk. That's what happens when you kate walkman puff. Daddy knows all about that. That's how you make a band that's coal reference on so yeah take over. Wargames scorecards speedy. The are four again. Were and that's the real hope here because you know personally. I love giving to charity no matter what so if we win our is again something personal to us because smitty had a personal interaction with the place so many again go ahead and talk about it down. Break it down. Just have a good conversation about where on if we beat. Pws where they're hundred dollars is going to one hundred dollars donation. We'll be going to the capture soup. Kitchen kitchen is an affiliation with the catholic church and they do community and help homeless. They do a food drives. They provide blanket stuff. They also do things right. I'll just read their hotel mission statement you inspired by the life spirit of saint francis of assisi we tend to people's basic needs especially the need for food strive to stimulate minds and nurse spirits and were to understand an address root causes of social injustice in our community in all we do we seek to build alliances with others who shared commitment to this vision and again. It's the third point there. That really makes me love this. The most because working to understand address root causes of social injustice in our community. That is something that everyone should work for. Because i promise you wherever you went to school whatever history that you learned. It's not that way for a lot of it. You have to pay more attention. Read in get deeper into things. Because i promise you you'll come to realize that there's a lot more history involved in the things that are happening now and no matter what you know. There's a saying that you don't know where you're going to. You know what you've been. Well how can you be better. If you honestly don't know where you truly ben you know so. I honestly appreciate a lot about them because they are helping to give people through history over things to again. Make everyone better. And that's what you really want. You know That shifts you know how it is so did you say assisi's when you're reading the saint francis offices yes okay ask isi. I know how to say i dislike. You serve better. How do you say it's not a sissies it's You just put more emphasis on the. I don't wanna very go. I went to catholic school and it was it was there was more emphasis on the a. It wasn't assistance. Because i'm telling you now as a second grader in a catholic school someone said sissy in class. I would laugh. That's why i laughed so much because they eat it. "Both of them in this game. He threw the ball fifty eighty nine times. And the reason why. I don't like that. Not Saying Lamar Jackson isn't a great passer but it almost feels like the Baltimore. Ravens got desperate when he didn't have to be desperate. They had more than enough with the Mark Jackson and sticking to the recipe that got him to where he had the seventh most pass attempts in the history of the NFL. Poyet's Dan Marino. We know was above him. peyton manning. Tom Brady drew brees. PARNI Kosher Steve Young in Lamar Jackson they should have been opposite twenty rushes. She's fifty nine throws it should have been opposite. They should have stuck with it and distrusted Lamar as opposed to getting into the desperation play. Call Laura's got Danny and Marcus in there we're going to go to them in a second but I do WanNa ask you. This are see because is it reasonable that this defeat in the playoffs does stay with him however until next year that the narrative next season will be can he and this offends work in the playoffs. Oh no absolutely. This is what people are going to talk about. This is what we are going to discuss. But he can't play three safety. He can't play slacker. Nobody nobody was willing to go there and bust their head on dairy dairy and make a statement. They're gonNA make small people. Tackle that defensive in that is playing running back and if you I don't WanNa step up and do it. They're going to continue to run the football. It's so you can't get desperate. You have to meet physicality with physicality. I can't believe I'm saying this but I believe Derrick Henry has right now become become my favorite player in the League to watch like he's more he's more fascinating to watch even mahomes or any of these guys and no one. No one loves him more than restaurant absolutely absolutely and when I look at it you talk about grounded pound. I love it because you know very well came in there and I. I told you I told you that the Titan Ah we're going to be able to watch them. They were going to be a handful in the playoffs. Why because they pounded and they can play defense? But it's that ground game that sets a whole tip for the whole not to.

"Lucky winner today, all you do to play trivia is you text the correct answer to the question. I'm about to ask our text number is six three five six six, but you must put my first name at the beginning of your text message. It's berry B A R R Y than the text number six three five six six. And then and only then the correct answer the late Stanley who's a creator of some of today's most famous at recognizable comic book. Superheroes would have turned ninety six years old this week. We'll be asking trivia questions about Stanley STAN Lee made his comic book debut with an early edition of which well-known superhero. Six three five six six the number Stanley made his comic book day. Debut with an early edition of which well known superhero, the number six three five six six. The winner will receive that fifty dollar gas card that I mentioned earlier Christine, you've come across some data economic data as it relates to consumer confidence that is caused a little bit of concern in your mind. You want to share it with us? Yeah. So so the US consumer confidence number which indicates how people are feeling about their prospects for jobs, and and for the economy moving forward h fell this month to the lowest since July, and that was in part because a gauge of labor market expectations fell by the most in forty one years. So this means that Americans are getting a little less optimistic with the stock market gyrations and an expected moderation and the economy because of the trade wars and all that they're they're acknowledging the fact that right now, you know, jobs are around and and plentiful, but what they're saying is we're not so sure about the first half of twenty nineteen what how much do you think it had to play? You know, you've had Verizon doing layoffs. You had Pfizer doing early retirements. Horizon was actually earlier. Retirements as well. And then I think you had General Motors laying off about fifteen thousand workers. Do you think it's isolated to those three companies or it's a broader concern? I think people are saying that they're worried there's more to come. And we already talked about the fact that any profitability from companies is expected to slow. And that would be a function of the trade war. The you the the president has decided we're getting engage in a trade war. And you know, they'll be people that disagree with him. And they'll be people that disagree agree with them. But the the fact of the matter is that's the strategy that he's taking and that will cause an economic slowdown. If it's it's one of the things his argument would be we need to experience some pain today in order to have a level playing field going forward. Others are saying, well, it's you know, it's going to cause a recession. I don't even with that consumer confidence number you shared. I'm not sure it's a recession type number, right? But you are gonna see probably consumer start to scale back some of their big ticket purchases right with rising interest rates curbs the appeal of big ticket. I am so things like buying cars or buying homes or even major appliances like refrigerators and stuff. People aren't going to buy them as much because you know, they're. Access to financing is not gonna be as you know, as easy as it has in the past. Well, I'm going to I'm going to give you a homework assignment. And that would be to contact your father and ask him what he thinks of the consumer confidence data point does he use it much in in in his research. Now, you may not know this folks, but Christine's dad is a pretty bright guy. He's he gave me a book last week which. Quite excited about and. Ask your dad because I think when you what you'll find Christine is when you look at Michigan sentiment numbers. Consumer confidence numbers those are soft data points. What I look at. I think you'd find a lot of bright economists are looking at hard data. They're looking at things like unemployment rate this morning. We got the weekly jobless claims numbers a strong number wage growth numbers. Inflation numbers export numbers import numbers. When it comes to these sentiment numbers. I I don't know. They're they're very I have not found them to be terribly helpful when I'm doing economic forecasting. What I'm trying to decide whether she'd be buying stocks are selling stocks. But that's that's your homework assignment. How's that? I'll give it a try. You didn't know you're going to get that. Let's talk about airlines airlines quite a bit of money over the last five years. They're going to have a rough road going forward. Yeah. It looks like, you know, we're in need, of course, of some serious infrastructure upgrades. And we're not even talking about capacity upgrades. I mean, just the picture of our airports in general. You know, we need to refurbish a lot of old terminals and make sure they're up to task because we've seen such a rise in the use of air travel recent years, but you know, that you know, that investment comes with a cost and that those costs are going to be passed on to consumers in the form of fees. So we can expect higher airport fees in two thousand nineteen as a result. The feeder airlines are the ones that pay those. So when you go to book your ticket out of LaGuardia or you go to book your ticket out of Logan or Bradley or Lauderdale, or wherever you happen to fly out of that's going to be there's going to be an increase charge associated with that. And the airlines, of course, pass that onto the consumer. That's right. That's right and the fees paid by those airlines to the airports is expected to rise as much as nineteen percent in the three year period starting between twenty seventeen and twenty twenty. So I mean, that's pretty significant to their bottom line. So they're going. To try to make that up somewhere. They will. They will. Let's talk about student loan debt. A lot of people take on student loans when they're peck seventeen and eighteen years old, and I gotta tell you. I've met a lot of kids that graduate college. And they've got this big bag a student loan debt. And they said, you know, now, they're twenty two or twenty three years old. And they said, yeah, I didn't really know what I was getting into how to student loan debt. How does it differ Christine from other types of debt somebody might have? Well, they're two different kinds of debt aren't there? There's the unsecured type of debt, which is like a credit card. And then there's the secure type of debt, which is something like a mortgage that's tied to tied to something like a home. Now student loans technically fall under the unsecured debt. But you know, they're not really treated that way. Though. They're expected to pay and take it out of your social security when you retire. Exactly. They will go after you. They will forever forever. Forever. Yes. Like a car loan, right? Or a mortgage you can flush in a bankruptcy student loan. You can't flush into bankruptcy. You're gonna pay that. It's it's because it's guaranteed by the federal government and the shape of it. Christine. Is you get you know, at eighteen year old that Burroughs one hundred thousand bucks to go to college. Well, Poyet's the first of all we shouldn't be loaning an eighteen year old that kind of money to go to college in my opinion. And if if you are you should they should be sunny studying something where they're going to be able to make a living wage here. They should be studying engineering or the sciences,.

Your consumption on your drive home. Or if he catches on the replay on your drive to work are audio are the only audience while that is series exam as well. But the podcast audience. They'll get theirs as well. But everything's back to normal next week this week which just a patchwork job, but we wanted to come in here at least react to UFC two thirty one and promote you see on FOX thirty one as long as long with two torch shows goes. Yeah. What do you pump for the most channel Gertz? But I'm very intrigued by the Laterna fight. I think it'll be the I think it'll be a better fight. But I need to know what's going to happen. What Indiana Quinta that they come up just beltway? No all of them. We went. Oh, they are. They are cracking Chrysler joke. Liuqiu? Yeah. That's we find. But we've already seen it, right? Yeah. I guess you've seen Gertz in gently it'll be different this time. But I'm excited. I'm excited for this week. There's too like I said the two Biltmore shows even Ruth in. Greasy Seacombe comes out of that the winners close to a million bucks. I'll like it. Yeah. What the hell's that sign up there? Gainey? That's his Pac twelve who. Am I? And then it's got a bunch of names. Ralph is horrified. Whatever he does him in the m. That guys does named guy. Like, I have no renamed human. I I'm never any. I shooed you little tiny cubicle. Where I I normally do the show from Choudhury. Guys killing it though. Roy do for this sore throat, scratchy cough. Just get more rest think it'll go away will stop drinking cough drops soda. No sprites. Good for that's for the stomach issues. Yeah. When you have a sore throat, the carbonated stuff is what rear your throat other. I thought it was milk. That's bad on us throw Nobis bed to very bad. Well, I know it was good when I never burn. But a. A vitamin C. And zinc is will you take? When you feel like you're coming down on them. I give you a couple of those emergency packets easily have odor. Yeah. That's good. Take that you'll get a couple of days right now. Please Gagan were there. But we don't want her. I have to do it on the break shrink. What I can get a water during the day. Oh, right. Well, you can't get in without the card. Oh, I see. I can give it to us. Do it. Oh, man. All right. You know, max is entertaining one hundred and fifty five pounds. I just can't I thought it was just something that like in the heat of the moment, he's feeling it. But he's serious and Dana wants them. Why does Dino want them to go? These not going to get an immediate title shot. First of all view was I wouldn't be stoked about it. Because a b. Just had his first title defense and has a lot of killers hunting down. Yeah. There's. He did I wouldn't like it. And then if he did it, then why would be or why would max do it? Like just the one hundred fifty five was was it that evident that the white was a struggle. If it was okay, I want fighter safety. But if not just keep pouring in on another thing, I was thinking about you want to go in that direction is. The whole who's the greatest featherweight of all time thing that was bothering. Yeah. I was thinking about it. I was seen the different arguments that are there Holloway doesn't help it by saying are the still think it's all though. But one thing we forget about Connor. He beat Poyet's, you know, he did play now. But are you gonna make the case for Connor? No because everybody says max b Josie twice, and you know, the the different title defenses that he's had our side of the different. He's added thirteen or twelve or thirteen fight win streak or whatever. Since losing the Connor, by the way. And then if you look at Josie, he's only two and three in the last three years he beat Stevens any beat. He's not going to get enough credit editor for the Stevens fight..

'cause like this clearly out of the game. He has a two year old. He's feeding fucking carrots and his regular as wife is like coming home from work and catching hanging out with his old scumbag friend Jesse from their band twad hammer, all in all it's maybe the greatest dumb as goon squad in the history of storytelling, they deserve more appreciation than they get. So I wanted to do a little segment on him. So here's to you. Jesse badger skinny Pete and. Combo the dumbest squad there ever was and shout out special shout out to my made for routinely wearing those Poyet's for Manos t while she cleans my house. There's something about it that comes off as threatening. And I respect that next segment, but he Mian rhapsody review. I went and saw this excited to hear this. I went and saw beaming rhapsody would Tae into my friends Tyler and Amanda, Dave and Eliza I'll keep this spoiler free as well. So no worries on that front. If you haven't seen Bahamian wraps it yet does the lead singer die. I mean, every that part's not a spoiler. That was a joke. Funny one. All right, P Freddie's. All right, right, but okay, anyway, highly anticipated film, starring Ramya Malik as a Freddie Mercury the guy from mister robot. You may remember him from great show. It's basically the film is basically so abrasion of Queen as a band, and of Freddie, Mercury as a man, and it tells the story of the meteoric rise of one of the most beloved and groundbreaking bands in history Queen and nominally I knew I knew a lot of Queen songs going into the movie I was never a big Queen fan. Like, I never knew much about. I knew Freddie, Mercury on whose name I knew his face. I didn't know his bandmates. I didn't know their story. I didn't really know much about imperial other than some of their hits because everybody knows their hits the fucking sin lease on north centralized probably heard Baheen rhapsody. Everyone knows that song. It's one of the most innovative hit singles to ever rock the world musically. But as far as Freddie the ban their story. I I didn't know much. It was funny because we're sitting there before the movie starred in Taylor, and I got into an argument about Freddie, Mercury and how he passed away, and we it was like a weird tiff about whether he was gay or bisexual and and the differentiation between those two labels. And I was arguing Freddie was gay. And she was arguing he was bisexual. And when the movie was over, I was told you he's gay just regular. He was married at one point..

"Like Hershey bar, I guess you would say, and they have very odd flavors to replicate the fast food experience that is Los Poyet's romano's and they. Include caramel fried chicken. That's awesome. Curly fries and catch up. Maybe not crunchy taco. No. And thirst quenching Colo? No. And so I took, I took a little nibble out of all four of them just just to try them and I, the care about fried chicken one is the best one just because it's it's this interesting combination of savory and sweet and their you. It tastes a little bit, you know, like the fried chicken batter and like you you really it had kind of has that you know that real like genuine fried chicken flavor to along with the chocolate, be curly fries. Ketchup. One was odd because at first it's a little bit pleasing because it has that salty sweet taste. You know that like like almost like a sea salt chocolate kind of thing, but then the ketchup tastes comes in, and it is. It is. It's very weird and off putting. The crunchy taco one almost tasted. Like if you mix the flavor of like tortilla chips in in chocolate, instead of like almost like a crunchy bar that has like tortilla chips instead of crispy rice in it. But then it also had like this spicy aftertaste the like they added a little bit of like, you know, chili pepper or something in it to give it a little bit of a kick as if you were eating a taco. So I, I don't necessarily think that it tasted much like a taco as much as it did just like like a kind of a spicy chocolate, I guess. And then the last one, the Colo one was pretty interesting actually because it tastes exactly like the cola syrup does when you get like a coke flavored icy just makes with a little bit of chocolate and like, and there's also the point where like you can kind of taste the bubbles in a way, even though there's not like any pop rocks or anything like that, but it was it wasn't bad, but it's like I said, the caramel fried chicken with easily the best one. One and then the Colo one. And then I can take your leave the fries and catch up into crunchy taco ones. But if you want to try them yourself, apparently they're an f. y. e. exclusive. You can only get them at the store and I don't. I don't know if they're available online or not, but this is the first time I had seen them. So yeah, you can get you can get them there. They might make a good stocking stuffer for, you know, somebody who like a big breaking bad fan and likes weird chocolate. I don't have. I haven't f- way near me, not that I can eat chocolate anyways. Jitka. What have you been eating eating way too much with the draft outs. One of the benefits of the draft out theater chain is they have the menus and the tables you can order food before and during the movie. But one of the downside of the draft house is it expanded nationwide. They've trimmed down menu considerably to the point where I don't think there's enough variety there to always justify having a full meal. I always try to get some kind of stack regular out to them because they know That movies for make the the real. real money I want to support. You know the companies that I attend regularly, but this is my advice to you if you are, if not success, goer in the future, do not rely on the draft house to keep you fed for the entire week of fast. You will feel sick. He was awful because all fast food as it is, and the variety will run out real fast, look into food in the area pack, some lunches and don't be me. Yeah. I remember when I used to go to fantastic and I guess they probably had a wider variety of food back then. But I, I remember like during like meal like movies because you like four or five movies in the theater that day in even during movies for like, you know, you just eat the movie before. I've like, oh, I'll get some much rela sticks or I'll get some. I think I gained like probably like fifteen pounds from fantastic vets when I went, which is pretty insane. That.

'cause I'm thinking of like, what does what does this mean for Kevin Lee. Wasn't he supposed to be getting ready as an ultimate, like a quiet under study for this twenty nine card? And if so, does he still do that with his matchup being made, but not to get too much into that, you know, minefield door shed, our heads will explode. Let me go a related, but shifting minefield relates this news to even news from earlier with Michael Chandler. Okay. So we didn't Michael Chandler now we know he's staying with beltway. Right. And we thought about what that could mean for other things. Could it be paramount in this relationship? So when you're talking about and India's being a better replacement, I agree, but then you don't have been a better matchup than poi-. India's one that I feel like should've been cash had multiple opportunities to be cash, but couldn't for one reason or another Alvarez verse d. as it just made so much more so much more sense. So follow me here. What what is going on with any hours has he made a decision yet? Because now if Poyet's gets booked on the US's side, Ferguson vers Pettus booked on the US's side Chandler's. Okay. I'm staying here my potential trilogy over here with bell tour. Does this spell more that Eddie Alvarez could be going to beltway more? Is that what I'm getting any kind of have a little bit of heat to back in the day who Alvarez India's. Live this down. Coat talked about this for a while pairing those two up and linking them with the Connor picture. You know, it's a, it's a good bridge for Nate for NATO, have irrelevant yet relevant to the Connor slash title, picture matchup facing a guy like Alvarez. So I guess what I'm saying is tin foil how with these, this these pieces being set in place? Does that mean the percentage or that invisible meter ways toward Bella tour for Eddie now who's sitting on or agency, still thoughts? I believe that something whatever they got to do to entice Chandler stay had to do with us, hey, we're bringing some light weights. And with this guy already being a free agent, maybe a wink, like he's on his way and we're going to cash in on that big idea. I don't worry about that being said, I've also felt like any hours once he finally of c- became a champion in the of see he's headline these cards in the, I just don't know that he wants to go back even a belt tower, monies that much better, which can really be how much better. And he's got to be linked up to some pretty good contracts plus what he made with Connor. I mean that that's that's some good paper that he stack there so ends up because don't you feel like how many do you think guy like Alvarez hats? Four. Four? Okay. There four building through the. Inches and Pearson where they start to trail on top thirty top forty eight fifty two, three FC. He'd have to build to get a pretty good payday with four fights, right? But with Bela Tor if they just tell them this is your guaranteed just show up and be that guy. Maybe having already won a title in the UFC maybe I would look at going back to achieve the highest thing in in both, right? So now I think you're chasing the money and if the money is better there and it's guaranteed, then I think I might just say much to say off in the sunset, knowing what we're gonna do be able to plan for the future. I think that that would probably be what I would tell him if I'm Bella tour. I don't think that makes any sense at all. But one thing as far as. There are some bell tour fighters that I fought in. One thing that drives them nuts is there's two questions. How would you do in the they take it as you'd probably get your asked, wouldn't you? You know, like they're asking you that, but not they're, they're implying like, are you UFC level? You know, whatever, and two straight up. Do you fight any of c. you know? And if not, what when they say belt or is like, whoa, what's that?.

"Covering the trends moments people and movements that drive the world always with the goal of creating a more, informed public one challenged and, invigorated by. Events ideas and cultures This. Is fresh air Giancarlo Esposito who played drug kingpin Gus spring in breaking bad featured prominently that shows most explosive, and memorable episodes then. In better call Saul we learn about the earlier years of Gus and how. He rose from owner of a regional fast food chicken franchise to international drug smuggler manufacturer and distributor Terry. Gross spoke with Giancarlo Esposito last year when better call Saul. Was in its third season and when Gus freeing by that time was juggling management of his Los Poyet's Hermanos restaurant and his growing meth smuggling and selling business those worlds were beginning to collide sometimes dangerously in this scene from season three Gus gathers his, employees to talk, about, the, man who had just visited the restaurant and menaced the staff he promises his workers overtime pay and to pay for therapy, if they needed Counseling to deal with the trauma Then the restaurant manager asks a question Mr. Frank Who were those guys Well, some of you know many years ago I opened my personal at. Models it you're gone Shortly thereafter Those same men showed up They wanted money I I'm ashamed to say that I paid them You see in that place, at that time If I wished to to conduct my business Choice But yesterday Yesterday they, came here Here They intimidated my, customers they threatened to my. Employees and again They wanted money now my. Friends I must confess. I almost gave them what. They wanted Then I thought no No This is. America Here the righteous have no reason. To fear here those men. Have no power And when, they saw that I had no fear, of them they ran like the cowards they. Are back across the border They will not return We will. Move on from this My friends I promise you Together We will prosper Giancarlo Esposito welcome. To fresh air I. Love that scene I could listen to that over and over. And over again and it's such a great moment because you seem like such like the, perfect manager thoughtful you're concerned about your staff and want. To protect them you're standing up to bullies your. Patriotic about America I'd like to talk with you about your. Voice as Gus it's a very kind. Of measured voice you. Articulate every syllable It's a very conscious way of speaking and you also have the slight remains of an. Accent from I forget which country got us from Chile Chile yeah so can you talk about constructing that voice for Gus yes I try to let the word speak to. Me jump off the page in. Silence so that I. Can hear the rhythm of what they are trying to write. In this case obviously Gus has a Chilean accent which I bring to the copy and, then allowing my voice to join it in a whisper. And then from that whisper comes a sound so. That I can allow what the writers have honored in this. Character and my voice to join together. In a seamless way I'm. Half, Italian and half African American, so I just stipulate them very Italian if you met me in person I use my hands. To speak I wanted that to be diminished and I wanted the calm and cool personality of Gus to emerge so that whisper LA Meteo relax and Giancarlo to go away The character of Gaza's very meticulous. In his restaurant he's often like emptying. Trays himself in cleaning up the, tables and emptying the trash and. In his demeanor I mean his clothes even his khaki pants everything's always perfectly pressed and clean he. Works at a, restaurant, you'll, never, see a stain on him So is that you or is that is that something you brought to the character was that, written into the script and since he has so much, blood on his, hands metaphorically it's kind of interesting to see that kind of absolutely clean pressed. Demeanor that he presents to the world this was not in the stage direction or in any direction. Or conversation when I. First came to the show. But I wanted to create a character that was different wasn't the the the Italian, mobster with a little dog who spoke very softly or or loudly whichever one we've. Seen those characters before, I wanted to create, someone who was hiding, in plain sight that was my. Inspiration that was the stage. Direction and so that someone to me That became Gus so that part of. Me that is meticulous I did lend to Gus and wanted to allow that to be a. Part of him because he's very careful. Very clean he's an observer in many ways he's a witness in other ways and he's ruthless underneath all so allows? Me to stand differently it allows me to feel a regal, and I wanted to lend that quality that Royal regal quality took us when you were given the role. Of the reprised role of gas and better call Saul you knew you'd be playing him years earlier because it's, a prequel and your seasons of breaking bad started and, what two thousand, nine or something so you're yes so you're playing a character who supposed to. Be younger than you were in two thousand nine this is one of the issues that head across. All of us have. To deal with that the. Actors have grown older but there Playing years younger than were when we first saw them so they're doing that without the use. Of press FedEx or you, know like Things to take? Away wrinkles as far as I have observed. So what was it like for you to figure out the younger version of your character it was, very interesting journey to think youthfully I believe when you start to go back in, time with the, character specifically in better call software Gus that you have to plant the seed in your head, that you, are younger it's in the. Is it in the. Body first and then there were there? The, physical aspects of it were. You know I have some gray now I have more wrinkles and how do we deal, with that well we can darken the hair I've also changed my hairstyle between both shows and. That was a big question for everyone but I. Was, in fabric and knew that it was the right move to. Make a younger Gus would be maybe a little more, away, beer Gus, Gus Who actually may why wanted to give the sense that he oh. He's a little maybe even a little more handsome we'll look at that hair look at? Those waves he's not just the tough guy. He's the guy who actually you could see him going out on a date with a woman maybe, that's why I wanted to Gus that was more vulnerable gusts that was just a, little bit more, a little younger in terms of his attitude not so definitive knowing where he was going but, not knowing, exactly how to get there. So the element for. Me started at the mental and then? It, transfers to the physical and. Then we work on the exterior to allow it to be younger and and have that, come forth Giancarlo Esposito who plays Gus spring and better call Saul speaking to Terry gross in. Two thousand seventeen more after a break this is. Fresh, air.
