"Game as a coach. You're going to have to take chances if you wanna win it. Yeah you you could not like play for a field goal and try to win the game with your defense. I'm sorry i don't think you can. I think you're asking way too much. So this is one of those games where you go in knowing. You're the road team. You're playing a team. That's hot and team this corner points now. Now you gotta go in. Thank and. I gotta take chances. So if there's a fourth and one at there's a fourth and two around the fifty yard line. I mean i don't care what the flow of the game is unless of course dak prescott gets hurt in the whole thing changes. But as long as he's playing they're putting up at least twenty seven to the thirty points. Yeah so was. Wednesday's report on wednesday zach and cooper sat out and then they were limited on thursday night. So you'd probably going to play them. I would think he'll play so that that just means he's got to go in thinking luck and he's gotta tell jason garrett we're going to be gone for fourth down so you better have your play sheet ready to roll and golic by the way had a full practice yesterday to with his injuries. Such a good thing but slayton didn't practice shepherd didn't practice gebreel peppers didn't practice so that's not a good thing for them. That means more young joker same situation as long as all you really need is golladay and young joking really and saquon. Yeah well john. Ross do and then darko most all those guys and you love the offensive line played really well last week when he came to pass protection. That's pretty good. Damn pretty damn good team orleans pass rushing and i thought they had you know going back and looking at it. They they were there. Were a lot. There was a lot of room in the pocket for daniel jones. He made some great throws last week. He really did now. Zach wilson miss them throws you know he'll he'll get those throws down. He missed a couple of open. Guys he had a couple of guys had this one tight end down the sidelining misty throughout his ankles. I he missed the wide receiver running out running out pattern. And he's thrown ten thousand times and he's worked on over and over and over that's just nerves junior michael floor talking about how they really want. Akwesasne a stay in the pocket. Yes and normally i understand but the most impressive throws he has made have been added a pocket. What so it. Mike laforce essentially telling you is that if zach will process quicker and throw it quicker. He'll be he'll be more on top of the game. You know what i mean like. He'll be he'll be where he's supposed to be. He'll be reading things to be processing things quicker. And when young quarterbacks tend to run around a run around because they're not sure what they're seeing and they do it to kind of get themselves out of trouble and then it all becomes then second nature to them and that's not the way he's playing right now no he's he's not he's sort of its franken. Hectic right jason. And westfield. What's going on jason. Hey guys you good man what's up. You're talking about things that officials see or don't see and infuriating and football. And maybe i don't understand it but you know these offensive line and sometimes they twitch and it's a false start. Sometimes the moving their heads and point people out and the old dallas cowboys used to get up and down at the same time. I just don't understand what why can't guard point and move his head back but some guy flinches picky and they've picked real. Yeah that's a good question. I do think about that all the time. Aaron answer for that I i just think it's really an accepted practice. Especially when you're playing on the road and you're you are the visiting team and you're using your silence. Snap out that centers lifting his head. Sometimes the guard is pointing the guard. I remember back so. I think it's just an accepted practice to allow a team to have some sort of advantage of knowing when the snaps going to be snapped. I used to see the guard. That steelers do. This was pouncey was the center on the road and allowed environment. Then ramon foster was the guard next pouncey left guard and ramon force used to turn completely around the bend completely they'd be set in the stance and ramon foster. Just go all the way around and then go back and then penalty would snap the ball like that possible bill football offense and you got down. You stay to stay there. You can't move. Yeah but i just. I'm when i'm saying to you. Is i think it's an accepted practice for teams on the road to be able to do that. Okay you know so. They have to be able to snap the ball and there's different ways of doing remember peyton. Manning used to lift up his foot Now looks like they're using offense of guards to put their arms out so this way when they put their arms out the other offense blinding. See it now. The really good teams the teams. That are very well coached and well versed in how to do. This may do that once and not snap it just to see if they can get the ogden defense above sides. Yeah and then they'll do it again and then they will snap it. Yeah it and every team does it differently and every every center handles differently depending on. What the offense coach wants them to do. And by the way that ramon foster i was talking about is now retired. He's doing five day a week morning. Radio in nashville sports talk. Radio in nashville. Cool it's great. He's down here on a five day a week morning right. You don't see a lot of guys retiring from the nfl. Well but what kind of like you know what i'm saying but you started many years ago. You douglas atlanta. But he's also one of the guys he played during your era right. I'm talking about guys who leave. The nfl now didn't wasn't he was but for a little bit and then he moved onto a job. There was bigger well tiki barber. But he's not in the morning. He's midday yeah. Yeah i don't i just find the guy fresh of the nfl doing five day week morning radio in a smaller market. Like that offense. Sleiman yeah offensive. Line's all your quarterback. But he made some pretty good money didn't think he did made a at least one pro bowl. Yeah by the way. Whatever happened with the atlanta station there al. They've canceled on me. Oh man i was waiting to hear that. I have the email a quick response for them. The the guy did email me back. Okay let me see. If i could find this so i was supposed to be a guest on ninety nine. The game on saturday with one of their weekend hosts to preview jets falcons and they didn't realize that al was in a guy who was into sports and evidently they heard the portion of this show. Yes is audio what. Hey man appreciate you. Getting back to me. Nick would ask some somewhat in-depth questions l. o. L. so maybe not this time around bird. I heard y'all this morning and it was hilarious. Hilarious what the hell would they guys ruined it for nas. Sorry i now. I didn't know they'd be listening doing down there. Well it got digital digital. I was out there I was out there fishing yesterday. I wasn't looking at the twitter so digital strikes again magic. He asked like a really in depth question. Like what. now what is that again. It was asking you about a specific player. Who never heard of googling the jets a website. Would you have done if he asked you about a player you never heard of you. Just go totally generic. Yeah i give them like marian. Rivera was in the book the other that he was just generic answer about every play like he knew noida. You gotta get the in their right. Yes because because the morning show with boomer esiason.

"Every day. He writes intensively on. What's going on you feel like you're there. And he's been stating that moore has just been doing. He's he started off getting his ass. Kicked at left tackle hayward and getting in fights first couple days of training camp but he's young steady improvement is gotten better every day. Chook was out for most of training camp extra snaps and now they're throwing them over at right. Tackle like you're left tackle. We know you can do that right. Tackle over there yet. And he's taken his lumps. Don't get me wrong. He seems to be that type of player. It's gonna get better with wraps. He's a smart kid. He's got good technique and that's why like they grabbing green as well like that's technique guy that's got guard. He played center in the senior bowl when they like. This is our center right and you see them getting out there in front on that screen pass where he's down there where the free safety is by the time out. I'm like holy crap. This guy's another fifty three right. Yeah exactly prime. You know yes pouncey fast right. Yeah so what i like about. Both of those guys and dotson is they're all. They're all really aggressive. They have that aggressive mindset where they wanna play the run or they went to block for the run. so that's kinda trying to change their philosophy and get back to to run anymore. You know like you said with elway at the end of his career big bands at the end of his career. So you know. I think in some. It'd be excited about nice and now we're going into our third preseason game right it's three freshmen to for everyone else. Which is now going to be considered the middle game of the preseason which is like this is the game that most of the starters are gonna play maybe drive maybe dries. Maybe a quarter at the most right. So what are you looking to see in this preseason game which is arguably the most important I mean i know we have another round of cuts another five people leave the team next week after this game. But what are you looking to see out of this. Preseason game here tony. I'm gonna to see how. Ben handles the Himself as far as you know we talked about earlier in the show. How often he he takes a snap from under center play action pass how he moves around in the pocket how the line blocks for him. Because that's going to be very important. I was a big problem for them last year after he was getting rid of the ball. So so quickly That's really what i'm looking for. I mean i. I'm confident cam hayward i know we all know kim came here where can do and intuit and probably not gonna play. Because he's really. I don't think he's gonna play z. But the What the the whole the whole. The i'm not gonna play. Mccall too soft holdout corrected me calling it a hold in. I like that. You know what those guys do. And hayden minka and i'm not really worried about The defense i think. That's you know that just so much talent there. Although i am looking. I'm excited to see what schober can do to hampton. As far as you know he's right there the first game too. Yeah yeah. But mainly. I mean i know it sounds simple but i just wanna see how ben how he looks in this new offense. Because it's it's gonna obviously dictates. How do you know how they it's so cliche to say. But how ben goes. That's how teams are going to go. And -actly yeah on. Facebook has been serpent in the same thing right. We anthony sleep. Anthony's are smart. Yeah a the quicker he falls in love with embraces offense and and he doesn't have to think about things like you know the better they're gonna be so i'm really ecstasy that yeah in cio nation. Getting your questions here. Probably the last chance to getting questions for tony and myself. We'll get to them easier in a second As far as for what. I want to see in this last game. It's probably going to be a game where we're not gonna see dobbs. I think we're gonna see a heavy amount of big ben heavy amount of Rudolph a heavy amount of haskins. I think they're going to split the other three quarters of the game and it's probably only play that first quarter like we're saying front unless they church shoot. Choose to four. Quarter it up and put dobbs in that fourth quarter half. Everybody play a quarter. But i don't see that coming up this week But i'm still interested to see progression of route offered off now with with the tubes because in the last couple of preseason games haskins has been playing with the twos right I i think that that offensive line has been destroying people that that second string on the line Though it seems like green will now be playing with the ones an our did a great job metric green dip play with the ones last time too but had dodson was with the twos that time he'll be with the ones but it'll be interesting to see how they do in front of other lines. 'cause now you're you're knocking haskins down to the threes. And then if dobbs plays he'd be playing with the fours so it'll be interesting to see you know kind of how they react with a little bit of different personnel to see how how successful they are and then of course on defense. And you've got a lotta guys trying to make this team. I think we're six deep right now at outside linebacker you've got you know marsh has been picking up his game. I have looked like. I thought that this guy was just going to be a load like out. They drafted rochet to get rid marsh. Not rochet's doing well. And then you got jones coming in from out of nowhere right. Orson snaps getting pushed up the board. He's ahead of rochet now in in the snaps in practice so because they just see him to keep making plays and keep elevating his.

"All five of those games are brutal when you don't have your starting quarterback and beat up offensive line so be watching. What happens in an indianapolis because that's going to be crazy. Those first five weeks here. Here's my my little bit of dallas news and that's by dak dak prescott finally finally signed his deal in the offseason that squash any possibility of dallas being on the list anymore for russell and and that whole drama that continued felt like for twenty years. We were talking about. They got a franchise them and they're gonna sign him for you dallas fans if you haven't left already to go listen to some other. Podcast overpaid paid for him. The guy is not an elite quarterback and yet you guys paid them like. He's and i know you guys but jerry Overpaid for dak. Sorry he they did and not only they overpay for him but here they go into camp and the guy comes down with a shoulder injury and he's been out so he's not gonna play. They're they're kicking off the preseason this thursday in the hall of fame game he is now back at practice. This happened was like two weeks ago. So he's back at practice but he's not gonna play. He's not gonna throw. He didn't throw today. Which is tuesday and mccarthy came out and said today coach mccarthy inside. They're going to be conservative with his rehab. They're going to be you know. Didn't say that he got a setback or anything. But they're gonna be conservative with it. So i'm not saying anything except for keep an either because if if you just gave them all this money and the guy can't play i don't know i i feel like dallas would would burn that stadium down i just. I don't know the the drama that went around that whole thing and you finally get them signed and then this i don't know so. Espn put out an article. About what. I love this because it helped me as i was trying to pay attention with everything and Missed a lot of stuff going on life. And this is a quick recap of what happened in the twenty twenty one. Nfl offseason as as camp crank cranks. Up and i wanted to go through them all real quick just so we can hit them all and make sure that we're all good moving into parts of this next week where we can really dive into the teams and and go from there. We went over. Aaron rodgers already He is back green bay and and playing. We went through that and good job around. So we'll see pay attention though because again. It's a season to season thing. We'll see what happens. Will they trade him for the trade deadline. That'll be the question drew. I kind of i mentioned it. Derby's retired in New orleans and kind of had a feeling that was coming and the dude had an unbelievable career. One of my favorite quarterbacks just seems like a good guy. Like i just like had. The talent had the skill one and also seem like a good so you also had. Philip rivers retired to spend time with his thirty eight children. Although i saw today that possibly he was He said he wasn't ruling out a return so he's already sick of thirty eight children. So that's crazy. Alex smith retired Jillian elon damaris. Thomas jason witten greg olsen and see marquees pouncey. Mike pouncey mike party and a few others. Sean lee viteri. That was a big one. So bunch of retirements talked about watson. I wanna talk about anymore..

"If if you aren't paying attention offensive line you might not realize that when they talk about zone blocking what that means is that i mean. I'm just going to say the most basic way that we would do zone blocking at the high school level like the freshman level and school is that you would have to linemen working together blocking a group of two defenders now. Does it always just as simple as this guy blocks him and that guy blocks him. No you're blocking first level. Too second level was the way it would work now. Depending on what what they do on defense is going to determine who's blocking who and so you have to know like if both guys the the way one of the lines that we use. I put this on the side channel diamond and katie smith who successful high school coach in new jersey. You know shape winning coach. He said i like the way that you said that. Is that when you put your hands on the tackle with your eyes on the linebacker. Handled tackle is on backer. That's what you're doing when you're blocking these zone blocks because you don't know which is gonna have that linebacker it depends on which way he goes. So it really matters who you're playing against and jeffrey talks about side not against the bayside. Thank you for correcting. Because i completely wrong. Who you're playing with. And jeffrey would constantly bring up. It is not easy to play next. Al villanueva he says he just. He's a different style of player. And it's not the easiest task to play next to him so and he said that really the best combo that he saw this season. If i if i can quote him correctly i think i remember. This might not be the best but a really good combo was markey's pouncey next to kevin dotson that those two guys just kind of had it going so the problem is we're not going to know who's going to get it going if you know what i mean. Yeah so that's why. I said i phrased it in the way of. Can they come together and like you said. Is it fixed. Which i think is fantastic. Way to put both them them. You want to comment on die. My long soliloquy. I just went off on. No that was great. Because i was thinking the same thing you know and and i noticed this last year as well too i felt that marquees pouncey was playing his best football next to kevin dotson. I really did. Yeah so agree. Totally with kevin on that one. 'cause you know and as part of the reason i felt i wanted to see more dotson. Partly because he brought he helped bring pouncey he would tell you that he was not having his best career. Yeah i bet you. He would've told you that he liked playing next to dotson. Yeah so you know. And honestly i feel that from i i could sit and i could breakdown film for hours and hours and hours unfortunately especially with trying to get content for the site..

"Sent him back to aaa. Hit like three twenty with nine homers. So maybe he's looking like one of these four before a guy out a couple of guys they'd just gotta relax. I'm just bringing it to your attention. Few seconds with ben rothlisberger. I wanted to bring this year attention. Friday so the steelers and the cowboys reported to camp early at the hall of fame game so we saw the picture of ben the other day where he was still looking thick despite the talk of a strict off-season regime. He is not surprised by the chatter things being so little bit here. Okay what's new all right so you get the tongue in cheek there. What's new is. They've got a new offense under mad. Canada and ben has a new center. Markey's pouncey retired insteps the rookie kendrick green and ben going out of his way to make the kid feel welcome. Start with you'll never fill the shoes and murky pouncey. And i don't think trying to do that. Which is good Penalties in a in a class of his own. And that's what made special and the relationship that we had We'll never be duplicated. Oh boy i'll start with. He'll never been never fresh. That relationship with them which is so very important will never be try to live up to it. Boy sure it's going very smoothly for that young man here in the early stages of camp with a new offense. Oh boy dab old.

"Trinite. kim starts for most teams tuesday but at least some players have been reporting the camp in just about every nfl city. This week we have reporters everywhere. Ed word is in oxnard with the cowboys. Brook prior is with the steelers jordan ron covering the giants from the jersey shore. Apparently and that's where we're going to start with a little read and react actually going to start in pittsburgh where quarterback ben rothlisberger returns for his eighteenth season. One of the major storylines surrounding that team is how to protect. Its veteran quarterback brook prior has more on how the pittsburgh offensive line plans to build around big ben. There should be a theme for the pittsburgh steelers training camp this year. And that's if you build it they will block. At least that's the hope for the steelers to have five new faces on the offensive line not to mention a new position coach. Mike tomlin is not interested in a rags to riches narrative. Here after all he'll be the first to tell you that the standard is the standard and that all starts with rookie center kendrick green. Who took first team reps with the team at its opening training camp practice just a day ago when he drew pretty good reviews from quarterback ben rothlisberger afterward the rookie kind of reminded him of former center marquees pouncey. He said that green made all the right calls. You didn't fumble the snap between them. And look..

"Thirty eight twenty nine. Victory of a kind of seem like okay. Well the offense seems to be comfortable because sometimes it's not even about the snap snaps as much as it is comfort comfort of the guys working together on the line comfort and confidence of the quarterback in the line that he's gonna have time to throw inaki kill back there. We'll see that that might be a problem toront- but then for week six there's a there was a a another change in the offensive line and this is where you were in week six. I'm sorry that was fantastic. One of my favorite games of the season because thirty eight to seven over the mistake by the lake. That would just fantastic but it was. It was big al filer. Pouncey dotson and jukes. That was your starters in that blowout against the browns. So that's just kind of interesting to see what happened there now. They did not comply with that before. I do that. Not every player played all the snaps k because it was such a blow out half an hour. Caveman played eleven snaps at center. Hawkin or gerald hawkins iki played three snaps at the end but also have another seven snaps in the tight end and bruin gray even had three snaps at the end of the game. So that was kind of nice. It was one of those times. Those guys did not play on a percent of the snaps. The only ones that did in that game or dotson and be out and they rushed for one hundred twenty nine yards. They did surrender to sacks but they were also part of a team that put up thirty eight points. Granite one you know. Some of that was the defense if we remember that correctly but that was an offensive line out there getting the job done. Then we go to the next week then the infamous week. Seven against the tennessee. Titans where the steelers they won. Twenty seven to twenty four. So if you look at it so far. Everything's twenty six points and above that the steelers scored. They've won every game. They were back to their usual starting lineup in big al filer. Pouncey decastro chicks to mr snap in that game that the gabi tweak something and had to come out for one snap and you're like oh no down to the third tackle note and then he was back they had ninety four rushing yards in that game but they surrendered zero sacks that was the first game of the season at the steelers did not go over one hundred yards rushing. And it's so funny that we talked about going over one hundred yards rushing. 'cause we know what's coming. We know how bad these run totals get as as you go on. But that was. That was the starting lineup. There and that same starting lineup was used for the next. Let me see. I'm trying to count them up Account that one seven eight nine ten and eleven. All of them had the same same starting lineup. So that was five straight games of the same of the same guys when it came to tennessee because castro was back and they're they're going so we gate. This is where you saw the big fall off especially when it came to rush the ball now. It was going up against the ravens. The ravens didn't rush the ball throw pillai mouth. Every time i say that well i say rushbaugh do. They did respond. They rushed for like two hundred sixty five yards but the but the steelers they only rushed for forty eight yards and they surrendered to sacks but they did enough to win that game. Twenty eight to twenty four in baltimore then in week nine. the steelers were facing the dallas cowboys. Now they struggled with this game early but they were able to come back that this was their lowest point..

"All things pittsburgh steelers and you all should probably know but listen to me for a while now that on a stats guy. I like numbers. I crunched numbers. It's kind of what i do. I like number puzzles like anything dealing with digits. That kind of fits together. That's that's right in my wheelhouse also. I played offensive line when i played football. I coached offensive line when i coached football. So offensive line is kind of what i do there. So let's go ahead and we're going to. We already looked at the record. The steelers had when each player was in starting lineup on the offensive line. Now let's look week by week. Who were the starters who played out of the steelers do so week one. The starters were. I'm all these lists and they're going to go left right. Left tackle across the right tackle. So that we don't have to keep saying the position over and over again and bore you down with me stumbling over words but it was. I shouldn't even say laughed. St- always start with villanova. 'cause he was every every he started every game. But we got big al filer. Pouncey was new sqi and zach. Banner those were your stars now. The first revise play. One hundred percent of the snaps was new skin. Banner did not because they both got injured. What what ended. How what happened was dotson had to come in for six for six naps. Then chook had to come in for five. Stamps had nine for the game. Because yet four snaps his the jumbo tight end. But that's how many snaps those guys missile. it was. They were the majority of the game. So the way as we should hopefully remember the steelers won that game twenty six to sixteen and the steelers rushed for one hundred forty one yards and they surrendered to sachs which was they never surrendered to saxon the game all season but that was one of them where they did so that was the offensive line trying to get to know what was going on there. You could say oh maybe they were more primed for four run blocking than everything else but you also have to remember. This was a time of the season. There was no preseason games. There was nothing on film from what the steelers did. Some of that candidate emotions they involved in the running game and once team's got film on it and can break it down it kind of changed everything but that was the pure numbers behind week. One then you go to week to a week to it was big al filer pouncey dotson and szucs to now is going to be in there for every game the rest of the season but kevin dotson got the start there. The steelers won that game at home against denver. Twenty six twenty one. They had one hundred nine rushing yards the only surrendered one sack so it kind of came in there and and dotson was filling in for was new ski who was filling in for decastro. Who missed the first two games and it was just you know it was what was he. Came in. didn't steelers offensive line. Didn't really seem to lose a beat in his very first start. We'll see how that happens is stuff goes on then in week three. Don't want to talk about week. Four because technically was the steelers by if you can call it that but they didn't play game but in week three and week five. It was the same lineup. The season starters. It was big out. Filer pouncey decastro six. That's what it was week. Three against the texans were. They rushed for a hundred and sixty nine yards most of the season but they did surrender to sacks and they won the game twenty eight twenty one so far kind of kind of this twenty six points twenty six points twenty eight points all right but in week five after the quote unquote by week. The steelers come out playing the philadelphia eagles and they put up thirty eight points. Same starting lineup. Hundred thirty six rushing yards only surrendered one sack..

"Like that can become the starting number two corner. He went code number two corner. They even exists anymore with so much so much looking for some packages But but if he if he could be that second starting corner then. I think that that's even better for a player. Like cam sutton. Who can slide into the slot and plus. He's he's really versatile we can play obviously corner and he played a little bit of safety too so i think that would bode well for them if he if he if he can make that leap in the second year if they can develop 'cause you know a player that just left here Mike helton he was an undrafted free agent and he came out of nowhere and and became one of the best slot corners in the league. So they can do the same thing with james pierre and he does that at the On the outside. I think that that would be because you need to develop guys like that. You can't every every Player you develop can be premium pick you have to hit on. Somebody's undrafted free agents. That's what the the key to that in the steelers really good at it is recognized. That guys fit their system. E and pierre run like a four six and in may delay. That's gonna drop down as a fourth fifth round you know rejection. Hey runs out. Forty maybe. Some of his shuttle times wasn't quite as good. They're going to drop you. Najeeb might go and drafted by the steelers. Know what they're looking for and that's why they could get a guy like hilton. Who played like an underside safety. You know many linebackers you will. And they knew they wanted to utilize him in that slot position. Same thing with the air You know he might not make it on some defenses where they ask him to match up me and demand for the whole game On the outside the steelers are not going to do that. They're going to make sure that makes up coverages and You need certain of intelligence And again the confidence and was found that maj they're really good on these drafted free agent guys on off. Its of land in the secondary. Yeah even some of the linebackers Have been that route you know and like splaine or another guy you know he. He's a trainer. he's not really a buck. He's not a mac he really fits their system and they picked him up off the transplant. Arbitraging so Yeah it's always root for these guys. Yeah ause it's financially beneficial to the stores right. It's not only. Do they get a chance to have professional career and they just you know all of us still faces love him because we love the underdog and but it also just helps the salary cap. Because if you're not having to pay them you know. Say sega third fourth round draft slot. It was of a lot of money that you can use to keep your own and knife. Fair market value in keeping miranda. That's the reason there's been able to do what they've done to be so consistent part of the reasons that really give him undrafted free ages. Yeah you mentioned the line. And and neighbor trying to rebuild that line using a lot of premium picks. Obviously pouncey first rounder cash. First rounder marcus gilbert but you know before they Any of those guys have been came along. They signed ramon foster in two thousand nine out of tennessee and by two thousand eleven he was. He was a fixture on that line. You so durable and and you need. You need to develop. You can't just like you said like i said before you can't just they can't all be premium picks. You have to be able to develop these these Undrafted guys low around picks and and faucets me one of my favorite all time favorite steelers and and and and he was such a durable presence in a fixture and a team leader so waiver and big al try big of a tight end and david's van and any becomes left tackle and then made a. He's had excellent career and again god. Nobody wanted anybody could have had him. I mean they. They identified them. They develop them and of course he had the best coach possible as far as offensive. Line coaches and mike perfect storm and he. He actually got some pretty decent contracts. You know i mean left tackle. Obviously it's going to be more valuable than i left guard. He was able to the parlay that into some pro bowl years in in a decent contractor too. So yeah i mean a james fear is is that equivalent on the in the secondary one every year. Yeah and and you wonder who it is. And i'm excited about selena. I mean i. I think he's. He's someone undrafted free agent and he obviously showed a lot and running game last year But i think jeffrey benedict some other. People said to us much better in pass coverage and people people thought i mean he's he's seems like a pretty decent athlete and somebody. Maybe they could you know. Be an upgrade as far as athleticism over offense williams as much better instincts right. I mean if you watching He's a step ahead so it makes him look a little faster than maybe what he is and then he quickly transitions. Let's he's got coverage in the running backstays in the pass walk. He destroys asians immediately to the pass. Rush and And he was very effective at that last year. And so even though he's not your prototypical.

"pouncey" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"They don't let that. they don't want that. That affects your money. That affects your product on the field. So that's out if you can't control it they'll do you have any like pent up feelings towards other teams. That were allowed to go like the do you care at all that other teams go and historically steelers always do this and again. They're told no now. Most of these people those are the places they go. They're not going whether it's fan access. There's not they're not going where you know. They have that kind of closeness with the public. So it makes sense to me. The is just the nfl looking out for their money. That's all it is. Yeah and i totally get it too. But there was some other news that we should also get into because There's a few things that branched off it as well from the last time we talked. Of course david. Castro's released trae turner sign and there's been a bunch of stories that kind of Revolved around that to kinda start. Things off from square one though you think trade turner could be better than dave decastro in twenty one. I is there any sort of comparison. Because i know they're both kind of in the same situation both kind of very unhealthy last year. Try and get healthy. Trade turner supposedly one hundred percent according to himself. So take that however you will David casuarinas on the precipice of another ankle surgery. Do you think trade. Turner could be an upgrade. If he's healthy. Yeah over what. We had last season at the end with david. Decastro where i mean there were games. He was awful. They're games. he just you could tell it. Wasn't there his game was not their stuff was just affecting them enough that he wasn't good so trey. Turner has that chance but at the same time he had a groin injury. Right and in steelers history. We've had a couple players in my time. A couple of really good players. Drone beddis started going downhill with his groin injury. He lost a lot of agility. And that's where he kind of fell off. Is that big. Agile guy that he had been for so long. He lost a bit of his quickness. He lost a bit of agility with that groin injury. It wasn't the same guy and he had to reinvent himself and he he he. That's where he started that kinda decline into being a backup running back and then reinvented himself. Just as a straight up power runner his last couple years because he couldn't move like he did before l'amour woodley's the other one everyone talks about. He got that new contract and then he you know he stopped working now but that's not really true. He was having a phenomenal season. He had he had a groin injury and he was never the same again. He was never the same player. Get after that groin injury. Now i know medicine is improved even in the last ten years significantly. I know that But i know other players. Do i know a lot of players. Make it back from groin injuries. But the couple of examples there were players. Were just never the same guy again. So i have concerns about trade turner. I hope he's one of the guys that makes it all the way back but it could be a thing that haunts him for the rest of his career and he's just never that guy getting i think that's one of the reasons you didn't see teams signing him and he signed with the steelers for three million after being a pro bowl guard like there. That's that's something. Teams are wary of yeah five consecutive years. A pro guard gets traded and hurt mrs one year. Now three million dollar player crazy asked him. What will you remember most about david. Decastro the levian values like to me. It's it's decastro pouncey and foster like they're together. They were so great and those levy failures. They're inside zone runs there. They were phenomenal. They were the anchor of the lines. I always love when people talking about the steelers need an upgrade to tackle. The steelers don't invest as much attack alive teams out there. Invest a lot in their tackles the steelers. Don't the steelers are always built from the inside of the line. And if they want to run outside they can pull somebody you know they. They're not afraid to do that. And they really built from the inside out so that that interior line to castro pouncey foster was so good for so long and how just with levy on bell they were just dominant. They just dominated the nfl. More than more than even ben rothlisberger. Like as good as ben wise as good as ben is. He's a hall of fame quarterback best quarterback to i've ever had. He's even better than bradshaw's adult. Don't get me wrong here. I'm not criticizing. Ben rothlisberger downplaying. How good he is but that interior offensive line. Those three guys were better like together. They were more impactful on games than even ben rothlisberger. They were phenomenal So for me. that's that's the castro's legacy it's tied right in with pouncey and ramon foster and how good those guys were in their prime. Yeah as someone who considers themselves a jersey collector. The only offense align jersey. i've ever owned david castro. One of my favorite players of course house a center during my playing days at never got pouncey but david cast right. I think is a pretty local. in comparison. Just a short like to our trip down the road to get to where to castro's from going to stanford i watched him play all of his career in college. Of course andrew luck was on that team so you could watch stanford every single week if you wanted to especially in the west coast and then to see him get drafted the steelers. Honestly the happiest. I've ever been for steelers draft pick When he was falling down the draft board. I remember and remember ten years. Gos- what like fifteen i was like chanting to castro's name was. Oh my god. We're gonna david castro than it happened. I just remember blowing up because we just got one of the best guards in football and he fell the way to twenty four. How how did that happen. Thank you god. That was actually that year. I was on behind the steel curtain in our our draft. Like live article like live chat. I was in that with a lot of the other behind this and we were all everyone. Everyone was like holy crap. Decastro keeps falling. Come on when he passed the last team. That was really looking for a guard. We were all freaking out every when we got him. That was a huge deal so really like yeah david decastro. Is that guy because we all sat there like holy crap where we gotta get him get him and he lived up to it you know. He had that injury as first season but after that he was a stud every year. Yeah and i. i'll always remember it. Detroit had the pick before the steelers house. Like we're going to get riley reefer dave decastro and then how it played out reforms. Lines we get the castro. The rest is history but beyond that getting back to today. They're having some stories that have branched out from decastro getting released and one of those things that keep getting brought up especially by mike florio at ad nauseam is will.

Steelers Sign Pro Bowl Guard Trai Turner After Releasing David DeCastro

"The steelers made some news yesterday by releasing veteran guard. David decastro cut saves the steelers eight point seven million dollars in cap space and they moved quickly to replace decastro by signing free agent guard trae turner but this all comes after longtime senator mark pouncey retired and the steelers lost offense lineman matt feiler now one hundred villanueva in free agency back in march so big changes for a unit in charge of protecting thirty nine year. Old ben rothlisberger jeff. How did this all come about. Well dan if we didn't already have all these questions about the offensive linemen. Decastro comes along and is dealing with what he now says. We'll be another ankle surgery. He is not sure whether he'll continue his career. He says that he would be happy to hang it. Up if indeed. His ankle can't recovering time for the season. But this is certainly a situation facing this steelers team. That makes things even murkier now. We should point out. They did sign trai. Turner guard has some pro bowls. Resumes did miss nine games last year. But now this team will be with four new starters on the offensive line's important note though here that they struggled last year so perhaps they can just get better with a new group

"Lost in all of the quarterback Carousel shuffle. Two of the best centers in the NFL Brothers no less. Made it. Official. And both announced very Tyr mints from the NFL. Marquees Pouncey and Mike Pouncey. These two guys have been literally two of the absolute best. Marquees. Fancy number 18th overall pick by the Steelers and 2010 Mike Pouncey 15th Overall, the Miami the following year. Both of these guys were full time starters from the day they join their teams. Marquees plays 11 seasons in the league. Mike plays 10 with the Dolphins and the Chargers marquees all 11 with the Steelers. And Interesting things. You know whenever a guy retires and they've got some money, there's usually some kind of dead cap charge. Some kind of cap savings going on. What marquees Pouncey. Is really good Friends with Ben Rafa's Berman. And both of these guys always said all we're gonna play as long as the other guy plays. Now, Rob spur. Of course, you know a lot older. Then Marquis is Patsy a pass. He came into the league. In 2010 and Roethlisberger, part of the 2004 draft class, so Then a lot older. Then Marquis Pouncey, however, Uh, Each of them had a contract that ran through the 2021 season. Marquis says retired which the team has, you know 6.5 million and dead calf, but they get eight million in savings. Rafa's Burger has a monster cap number. That he has talked about helping the team taking a lot less money. But they haven't actually Gotten done yet. And essentially Rothes Burger while he's talked about his contract hasn't 100% solidified whether or not he intends on coming back. Now without his very good friend and franchise center in front of him. Look, the Steelers line, which has long been a strength of the team. Was not a strength of the team this past year. They were the worst team in football. In Russian The Steelers. Think about that the Pittsburgh Steelers couldn't run the football. Mister could walk. And Rafa's Burger, who even though he is basically a linebacker, playing quarterback, And is somewhat mobile, not nearly as mobile as he used to be, and certainly a lot more brittle than he used to be. You saw some of the effect of him this year later in the season coming off of elbow surgery the year before where his arm looked like it was hurting, like hell. And he couldn't swing it. And Roethlisberger not only likes to swing it, but he likes to swing it hard and deep. Football's people pay attention. Could this be? Guess the push over the cliff. That Roethlisberger needed To decide to retire. Now. If Roethlisberger would've retired. The Steelers. Instantly become a team that needs a quarterback. Because Mason Rudolph stinks. Let's just call it what has The Steelers have Legitimate Super Bowl caliber defense. They need some help on the offensive line. They need another running back because James Connor maybe isn't built to hold up for 16 games. That's a team that Would be going from Roethlisberger's days of as an elite quarterback are long over. He still Good quarterback. Good as in middle of the pack. And he could still have games. Where he plays at an elite level for a handful of games in a row. Could you imagine? Shawn Watson. On the Steelers. Cause you mentioned they had a package deal before releasing. You could have packaged to show on N. J. J to the Steelers and gotten like, five first round picks or being obviously Daemul facetious here, but You could have gotten a huge return. If And Ross Berger says, You know what? I'm retiring. And I'm going to do my team of solid. I'm gonna reduce my salary down to like three million bucks and, uh, to save them all this money on the cap. And they come in. Get to show how How amazing would that be. And think about the last the last vision of the Texan that this year was JJ Watt into Sean walks and walking off the field together. Week, 17. And JJ, you know, given to Sean a pat on the back, apologizing that they wasted one of his seasons. JJ understands because at age 31 Looking at the team falling apart around him. Having never even played in the NFC title game, let alone a Super Bowl. He knows the clock is ticking. He doesn't want to see that happen to Shawn. Andre Johnson said the same thing we talked about that tweet earlier, Arian Foster went on a podcast, was it Gems and juice or something like that. He went on a podcast and basically said the same thing. Texas didn't care about what he thought when he said what he needed, none of it matter. And that was area made. Those comments are about the same time. It was a two days after Andre Johnson's tweet. Everybody who's gone through the Texans organization. Have all said the same thing. Rafa's Berger's decision to stay Go and how much money he's willing to give the team back. Could really change the quarterback carousel and have it go from like, you know, average speed to super high speed, and I am all here for super high speed, Harrison. Coming up. Next. We're talking UFC 2 58 with nickel Eagles pro oddsmaker from circus sports. He joins.

"Washington Small any l were Washington. You know, I knew this was gonna happen. I knew it. There's some people out there tired of the issues. Usually the stick to the issues. Crowd gets mad at me if I stray from the issues, so I got an email. I can't believe that you're not talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers humiliating defeat last night, but the Cleveland Browns What do you mean? You can't believe you think that I would broom this other stuff to talk. They lost four in our last five. It was the most predictable outcome I could have given you yesterday. Didn't I didn't predict the game. But I publicly but I did. Privately There was no way that Steven, in fact, ever since hard knocks. Training camp in a Cleveland Browns Lately, I've been fascinated with this Brown's team. I kind of like him. I'm not disappointed. They want it all coach on the on the bench because of covert 19 all these players, But look, folks, it does demonstrate that there are people out there that want to do. This stuff is getting too oppressive, and it's too frightening it too scary. Yeah, he was. He was crying. He and more keys. Pouncey were crying in the open. That was a devastate that that was just that was that was humiliating. Embarrassing. It was. It was the fact that it was clean. But what I have to say one thing, did you did you just one departure from the issue is that we'll get back to it. Yesterday afternoon, I watched the Bears. And New Orleans Saints. I watched that there were two feeds. There was the straight CBS speed and then the NFL is trying to expand their reach. To the younger age demographic, so they had Nickelodeon. Did you watch? Did you see the Nickelodeon was the funniest thing in the world. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Every time there was a touchdown, The end zone got slimed with green slime. The player that scored got slimed with SpongeBob's That types types line. I mean, the graphics were odd, weird colors. They had this young Sheldon pop up explaining rules to young people don't know football, but I have to tell you something. I watched a guy The guy doing play by play on the Nickelodeon feed was a guy named No way. Uh uh. Eagle and he's the son of I am Eagle. Eye of Eagle has been doing play by play for CBS's NFL and other sports for years and I didn't know he had a son. But this guy was so good. Noah Eagle. Was. It was just so good doing play by play and everything else. Nickelodeon was He ran a three person booth, and then they had a couple of people down on the field that they had to get into the broadcasters. Well, it was the number one trending topic on Twitter. Yesterday afternoon, the Nickelodeon feed and broadcast of the Bears names game, which was the middle game, the four o'clock him and I'm telling You think this guy you know I'm a broadcasting person, folks, and I noticed these kind of things and I'm fascinated with generational change because you can't stop it. It's on the march It happens and I'm just I'm so glad that CBS decided to do this. And the NFL permitted it. Um, it was such a start over on CBS. Here. You have Jim Nansen, Tony Roma. They're buttoned up in their suits and ties. And it's the epitome. It's the epitome of corporate professionals. Over here on Nickelodeon, the Nickelodeon feed You can't find a tie. You can't find a sport coat. You can't find a standard color. You find them make when they kick a field goal. They put SpongeBob Square pants face between the uprights of the goalpost, and they have the kicker trying to put it in the guy's mouth. You would never see CBS doing something like this would but they allowed it to happen on Nickelodeon to try to bring the game to younger Democrat But I'm telling you this this this young Adam, how old he is. But this kind of iron eagle? No, it It was so good at play by play. Um and it was the first time I'd ever heard him. He's the radio voice. I just found out of a Los Angeles Clippers of the MBA. Anyway, let me we get started on the phones here. Is he in Raleigh, North Carolina, was at the speech that Trump gave in the capital. Welcome. Great to have you, Izzy High Mega didn't see Russia and the pleasure to speak with you. After 30 years of listening to you. I needed to talk to you. Thank you. So As a fellow believer. I'm praying for you. Look, I just wanted to Yes, you're right. My wife and I were there for the day's events. And I just want to suggest to you one reason, perhaps why they're shying away from playing the audio of his speech. And it was because, in my opinion, my wife's opinion many of those around us it was flat. It was it was sort of dull. We were expecting a lot. I've been to a lot of Trump was flat. You mean uninspiring. I was here was uninspiring. In fact, the point where we and several others, actually this don't throw stones at us. We actually left a little early. Okay, Well, what we want to hang on is because I got limited time here. So I want to focus you. What were you expecting? We were expecting first of all new information, which none was given. And secondly and you know what we've been to other trump rallies were expecting him to be more energetic him. You know his his tone was almost concessionary in a sense. And the crowd wasn't buying in at all. There was none of that. We loved you in the four more years stuff. Well, you know in your It did look weird. I I saw a little of it. Trump looked like he was behind a bunch of security glass, and I couldn't think I think I know he was on the mall. Some record, but I didn't. I never saw a picture of Trump with the audience. Now, maybe there was one. I didn't watch it long enough to see but it looked like there didn't There wasn't an opportunity for there to be of You correct me if I'm wrong here that didn't look like there was an opportunity for a physical connection. Trump and whatever audience there was there. Is that right or not, we're you're you're spot on with that There was a small group of people closed. But then there's a great divide where the rest of us were able to be with Mega Megatron of the You know the Jumbotrons and that also added to the sort of dullness of An inspiration. If anyone gets inspired by that to do anything, I wonder, and you know, he wouldn't just make this last point. We left early. So we were some of the first people to arrive at the capital from the Ellipse speech and all of the players who were involved in the pushing into the capital. They want all our money. They're sorry, but I have to stop you because I'm way over time now, But we got the point. Thank you much Rush Limbaugh, Right when you need it, you're listening to the IIB. Network..

"Talk Jason dickhead, Clement Speedo back in the house, and I just went through All of the picks from last week plummets to three and one's what I have for you. Exactly. Yeah, screaming. What was that drinking Friday afternoon that possessed me to think to Chicago frigging bears. Would oppose any office. I did it. I did it to cook. And plus, I got screwed because they were gonna go for two and I will cover the spread. And they've been let it go for the extra point. What is that? That's unusual news. New rule that they do it like that. Now, Sam was a steel was like the election. Come on, Be a Beato Also +23 and one But again, your guy 05 and 10 this week. I actually I declared while making these picks Vito I was going to go 13. You know this postseason worth started out. Okay. Okay. You have to get the first one. Well, 05 and one and the one by the maybe seven to know now, maybe my pushes on Lee because we're basically picking on a bunk. Tampa Bay Washington line. It was when we picked on Friday. It was eight. And I want to tell you, you bedded anywhere over the weekend. Yeah, it was 9 10 10.5. But that's fine. It's going down every every Everything is fine. Nothing is ruined. 83605 nineties the phone number six playoff games. Maybe you're betting streak red, though Jason, and that's that's fine. The Browns again I hope you didn't go to play in the remnants of the snow. We're out to pick up dinner because it was 28 to nothing. At the end of the first quarter thing happened real quick, in fact, the first play from scrimmage Marquees Pouncey, he snapped. He's the center, he says. The ball over Ben Roethlisberger's had been Roethlisberger's very tall man, but snaps the ball over his head. Look, I would never accuse marquees policy Pouncey or Ben Roethlisberger of tanking a football game or anything. Anything like that. But just from you're gonna have this play right from the start. Interoffice Burger has the opportunity to recover the ball. It comes to rest of basically the one yard line and he's got a head start on all the Browns at running it down, and he doesn't fall on it. He doesn't scoop it up. He just gets to the ball and he surrounds. It. Looks like he's trying to trap a squirrel like he's going. He's waiting for the ball to make its move. Meanwhile, who is that James Connor flops on top of it, and, you know, knocks it in the end zone. The Browns recover it and basically don't look back from there. The Steelers, but Roethlisberger threw three interceptions in the first half. Look, if you watch that game and didn't know what happened a week previous, you would say the Steelers were the team that didn't practice right, right? Exactly exactly because they were just so out of sync and again. There's no home field advantage anymore. In the NFL, they were playing at home. They were playing at home. The Steelers were home. Unbelievable on Look, we have some audio from the game here. Baker Mayfield. I guess I did not give the Browns enough credit because again they didn't practice. They were talking about virtual walk throughs. Not gonna play the audio of Ben Roethlisberger crying, are you? I have that as well. No,.

"Of all the teams that Cleveland could beat in the playoffs to get this win. After all these years, there's no other team they'd rather beat and do it here than the Pittsburgh Steel. I was pray. It's a great day to be a Cleveland brown. I mean, we've been through so much I was talking about Jimmy has one second goal has been to more head coaches than anyone. You can imagine that we sit here looking down the steel, a sideline Benoit, office workers. Sitting by himself on the bench, and you have to wonder what is going through his mind has had an amazing career up to this point. And the questions are gonna be asked here in Pittsburgh. Is this it way seen Ben Ross's burger for the last time in a Pittsburgh Steelers uniforms? You've talked about all the cap issues they have. He has the biggest cap number of 42 million. He's gonna be 39 years of age. This year. He's coming off major elbow surgery, which he tested today with all those throws. Still, he's still one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. And the question is, does he want to come back and do it again with they remade roster Because this steel team is not gonna look the same next year because of all the cap decisions there have to make the players. I got to tell you. The teams were walking off the field, and I know we got to go to a break. But Rafa's burger is sitting by himself and now his longtime center marquees Pouncey. This is kind of interesting to watch well, and I don't know about you can, but there's no doubt in my mind. He's a future Hall of Famer Get one of the great players in the NFL in this era of so many outstanding franchise labeled franchise quarterbacks. He's right there with a maul and his. You know once I want Ben to the soup bowls, one has been there lost. He's been Through the ups and downs, you know, make sure is a football player and came back after major elbow surgery. US and Wasn't his best year, but he had that football. This foot still football team at 11 01 point just could not. Down the stretch of fell apart. A little bit boy fell apart tonight, but get to give a lot of credit to that Cleveland Brown football team. They were decimated. They lost a lot of key play, and no one gave me a chance because of all the issues they had with covert, and they're coming to Pittsburgh place. They can't win. Then that never lost to the Grounds in the stadium before after the atrocious start, Browns took advantage of it got the big lead and never gave it up. Final scores in the Cleveland Browns will advance in the play and heroin and Kansas City next Sunday afternoon. They beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 48. 2 37. They didn't turn the ball over. "Touchdowns. Officially, Carl Joseph Falls on the ball in the end zone. Cody Sparky's extra point is good seven. Nothing Cleveland in their wildest imagination, there is no way they could have ever ever. Trip. This is the way they would start their first playoff game in 18 years, and we haven't got into this watch with the Browns have never winning, Highest field, No bed. Ross's Burger has never lost the brownies and in this stadium He's 13 and no. I mean, if you want a fast start, it doesn't get any faster. What does this remind you a little bit. Remember that Super Bowl of the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks? On the opening drive the bad snap to Peyton Manning. The Seahawks jumped on the football, and after that it was over, and that was a game. Everyone thought the Broncos at high powered offense. We'll get going Peyton Manning, and that changed the entire Super Bowl. It'll be interested here to see how do the Steelers react because when it starts really bad like that, it's almost like a way gave away seven points. We're gonna start. In the hole. But guess what? The entire game is in front of you. And this is where veterans like better office Burger on offense. Can't hear what our defense have to calm everyone down and go play football. Let's do it again. Here is the kickoff with 14. Seconds Gone. Cleveland lead seven. Nothin kickoff picked up the three on the hash part by Macleod goes to the 10 on the postmark. 20 cuts to the far side. Myles Garrett: The Interview, Response, and Fallout

"Last Thursday. I sat down with Browns Defensive End myles Garrett in Los Angeles one day after he was reinstated into the NFL. The interview which aired on outside. The lines was Garrett's first media parents since he was suspended by the League for swinging a helmet at steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph Rudolph initially declined to comment but after reaffirmed his claim that the quarterback called him a racial slur. Rudolph replied on twitter calling the accusation. One thousand percent false and a bold faced lie today more from our interview with Garrett including new details on who he says he told about his allegation that fateful night then Adam schefter joins the show to discuss the steelers response. And what this means for both players going forward. I mean a crime. It's Monday February Seventeenth. This is ESPN daily presented by. Adt Back to November fourteenth. You guys were up. Twenty one zero seven just seconds left in the game even suited for the first time and how long and that gets marred by idiotic play by me and a couple other guys on both teams. And there's a brawl going down inside the ten yard line and getting in there was myles Garrett and took the helmet off of Mason Rudolph along it and that David Decastro and Marquees pouncey came in and they started really laying in so it was myles. Garrett took the helmet off of Mason Rudolph and slammed him on the top of my head dunk. Oh boy miles. We're going to get one too. That'd be suspended. Oh my goodness wow luxury what happened. I mean come off the edge by ten years less than fifteen seconds. I remember that I didn't want to be on the field but now sits out there and They were throwing that ball cells going to make a play so he started the ball. He's always wanted to throw. I'm going no the administrators on. I'm not trying to do anything illegal. I should go to take them down. He says some worry that we're going down. And he ends up on top of me and he goes to twist my helmet off. So I ended up getting leveraging topping him. I grabbed his helmet and I'll start shaking them. Push them off me and I was shaking him. His helmet comes off and is now one of his offense lineman grass and I think the Castro and he's talking to me. Tell me it's cool. Notice let it go. No Senate game. It's all good. And as he's known walking me away on my left side base incomes. Run again now. He's yelling he's already kicked me to China. Twist my helmet off and made a mistake to defend myself but Day because it's left a situation entirely. There's no need for that. No no for that at all. Wow you're you're up by twenty one to seven and video that we were watching of myles Garrett taking the helmet off brutal peniche slamming him. Which pretty bad you've just described in great detail. It sounds like something you've thought about a lot a lot of time thinking about it now. Time thing about that reaction what my response should have been. 'cause I should've have and I usually have in that situation. Just wasn't there and not just reflect the myself and allowing myself to never know being the situation but if I am to to handle it better. What did he say to you? Call me the N. Word Kami a stupid and we're I don't like I don't say the N. word whether it's not a he are to me personally just shouldn't be said and whether it's known by family friends anyone and I don't WanNa use it because I don't want to find the appropriate around me for anyone to use. So when he said it kind of sparks something but I still tried to let it go still walk away once he came back. Kinda Kinda reignited this situation and now only have you know escalate things. No Pass what it needs to be no with a little time in the game left. Now you're now you're trying to know reengaged and start a fight again and no. It's definitely not entirely his fault. Stephanie both parties. Doing something that you shouldn't have been doing so. He denied that he said what you're alleging. And then after your initial appeal leaked out and you said I wish this didn't get out at all. My was because I didn't want to try to use it as justification for my actions because there is nothing to justify like there's there's nothing I can say or do to justify what I did on that day. I'm not saying there's no to justify than I didn't do anything wrong and I know what I know what happened. I know what I heard. People say things when they're heated aren't the full of emotion. I leave it on the feel.

Will Myles Garrett Get Lengthy Suspension for Helmet Swing?

"Fight. That is GONNA be remembered a lot longer than the Cleveland browns. Twenty one two seven victory on Thursday night football over the Pittsburgh. steelers I am Greg Rosenthal alongside Chris Wesseling in your beautiful house. Chris unfortunately has got to go to bed. She's got an early shift to get to. And you know we've got some wild things to talk about because this game was secondary and we'll get to the game in a bit was largely forgettable big win for the browns but the last ten seconds in which myles Garrett through Mason Rudolph to the ground and then wound up taking his helmet off and Hidden Mason. Rudolph in the head with the helmet is obviously something we've never seen in. NFL history trying to think of similar circumstances Albert handsworth stomping and kicking. Andre Garard the the Cowboys Center in two thousand. Six comes to mind. He was suspended. Five Games for that But it was about as ugly as it gets in the immediate thought is. Can't browns fans just enjoy anything. And then what is the NFL going to do with myles Garrett. Yeah I think we both mentioned the Albert Hanes worth thing to each other and then I think to me it also reminded me a little bit of that west of his playoff game tobacco with the bengals and steelers just losing control at the end of the game. In this case it's really marquees. POUNCEY will be suspended but it's really hard to blame the steelers for much of this. They lost two guys two receivers to helmet-to-helmet hits from undisciplined browns team and then Myles Garrett just lost control just he went outside of his body. It seemed like Doc. He hit brewed off late on the play. which I don't think should be lost in what happens because immediately fans say hey? Rudolph was grabbing his helmet. He was trying to take his off as if he was starting. First of all. It doesn't really matter if that was true and he started anyways but Gary knew what he was doing. It's eight seconds left in the game. Rudolph clearly let go of the past and Garrett was getting in an extra shot in Garrett has such a smart guy writes poetry. He's he's such a smart player the way he plays but he has has a reputation of getting those little extra shots like. He has a little of a reputation among players or broadcaster. He pushes the envelope. And you like that sometimes as as a player but as a fan. But I don't know what it was in this case He. He felt like he had to get that extra shot. And then what happened. And he felt like he had to take Rudolph's helmet and I don't think there's anything you can really do to explain it. It's just a question of whether we see him again this year and everyone immediately after the game is saying we can't see him again. This zero we're trying to protect players and that's probably true. There are six games left in the year. I usually just go off precedent. There's really no precedent for this to me. This is a lot worse than Hanes. Were didn't hanes worth got five games gear obviously has no previous problem with the League. But it certainly wouldn't be surprising if that's it for myles Garrett this year
