Fresh update on "post" discussed on Ben Shapiro

"You know, the CBC is doing a horrible job. And even the Washington Post is like, you know, we could use some data over here. CBC here is what the Washington Post writes. Even the Washington Post is like, um guys like this is coming from nowhere. New recommendations from federal health officials this week on when vaccinated Americans should non face masks came with a startling bolt of news. People have had their shots and become infected with the delta. Variants of the coronavirus can harbor large amounts of virus just like unvaccinated people. That means they could become spreaders of the disease and should return to wearing masks indoors in certain situations, including when vulnerable people are present. Okay, So first of all, even if vaccinated, people are infectious. That still does not mean that vaccinated people should be wearing a mask at this point. The reason I say this is because it is now your responsibility as an unvaccinated person to take into account the risks in life. When people have the flu. Many people stay home. Some people don't like you love cold people go to work with a cold. You can work through a hole. Do we mandate that everybody messed up at all times? That's really the limiting principle here. If you could infect somebody with anything, do you have to mask up for the rest of time? Is this the new rule? Because the vaccine is now available to all the adult. If you're vaccinated, let's say that you're vaccinated. Let's say you can even pass this thing. But everybody around you has the ability to protect themselves by getting vaccine. Is it your obligation to wear a mask to prevent somebody who doesn't feel like getting vaccinated from getting vaccinated? Is that now? Is that how we are going to operate? I mean, serious question. Is that how we're gonna operate the United States? But put that aside. Is there even evidence to support this notion that the vaccinated are our main vectors of transmission that they get breakthrough infections at, uh, at one in 10 rate is Rachelle Belinsky falsely says And even if they have this breakthrough infections there now transmitting the virus at the same rate as the unvaccinated. Here's The Washington Post. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not publish the new research in the text of the updating masking guidance. The agency merely cited quote CDC covid 19 response to an unpublished data 2021. Some outside scientists have their own message. Show us the data. Reagan saw this associate professor at the Yale School of Public Health was not a conservative, says they are making a claim that people with Delta who are vaccinated and unvaccinated have similar levels of viral load, but nobody knows what that means. It's meaningless unless we see the data. According to a federal official knowledgeable about the research but who was not authorized to be a spokesperson for the government quote the data we published imminently. The data were alarming and recently presented, the official said. We saw the data I thought it was urgent enough to act in the context of a steeply rising preventable surge of covid 19. Because tests showed similar levels of virus and vaccinated and unvaccinated. The CDC inferred the delta variant can be transmitted by people with breakthrough infections. And she said, I think the implications are that people who are vaccinated even when they're asymptomatic can still transmit the virus. But but Okay here, Here's the big but As as M. C. Hammer might say, Here's the big but Fauci noted. There is not yet clinical data on what the high viral loads mean, in terms of disease transmission. That means even if you have a high viral load We don't have any data on whether that high viral load is being detected. And whether that high viral load is actually transmissible. It could still be carrying a high viral load. But it's not particularly transmissible because your body did a good job of killing off the virus. Actually said You can make a reasonable assumption that vaccinated people can transmit the virus. Just like unvaccinated people can. Can you make reasonable assumptions? This is just a question, because every reasonable assumption that reasonable assumption is that for example, if you had covid 19 And then you get over Covid 19. Everybody has developed a level of immunity that you won't make that assumption. But he'll make the assumption that if a vaccinated person has a high viral load, it's exactly the same as an unvaccinated person having and having a high viral load. What's the evidence to back it up presents none. It's a reasonable quote unquote assumption. Three. Senior administration officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the new research convinced health officials it was time to update the agency's guidance. That's not true. Okay, well, what happened here is that you were seeing an uptick in communities and you have health actors. We don't trust the American people. And so they say, everybody needs to mask up again. This is not driven by new data. This was driven by the pure panic button controlling top down mentality of people in the public health establishment. When scientists compared viral loads and vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals infected with an early variants of the virus. The alpha Berry in there are considerable differences in the amount of virus each carried. The CDC did not answer questions Wednesday about whether it relied on outside sources of data. Or the number of patients examined its outbreak investigations. Okay, this is one of the questions because as I mentioned The CDC seemed to rely on an Indian study that was retracted. In their internal paperwork..

Professor Paul Kengor and Mark Levin Share the Same Analysis of 'Marxism'

"Professor. Congress is precisely only a fool a Marxist forward, try to refashion the centerpiece of all man's humanity, the alpha and the omega around something like class for Karl Marx or race for the modern CRT advocates. What could be more demeaning. What could be so contrary to Judeo Christian values? That's what Marxism does, from its classical form to its modern American forms were less Children of God than products of class, race and gender. Here live in quotes the very worst of them. Richard Delgado jeans Stefan Sick and D a N D. Angelo for whom races everywhere and everything as his racism. As the antidote to this dehumanizing world. You live in quotes Dr Wyatt T. Walker, who was very close to representative Excuse me to Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. And in his essay in 2015 when he wrote was Steve Kalinsky. Steve Kalinsky. Walker stated. Today. Too many remedies such as critical race theory, the increasingly fashionable post Marxist postmodernists approach. It analyzes society has institutional group power structures. Rather than on spiritual or 1 to 1 human level are taking us in the wrong direction. Separating even schoolchildren into explicit racial groups. And emphasizing differences instead of similarities. Unlike Dr King's vision of judging people by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin. Walkers. Views of civil rights were rightly based on religious values, humanism, not Marxism and critical race theory. The roots of critical race theory are planted in entirely different intellectual soil. Walker out Begins with blocks with each person assigned to an identity or economic bloc, as in Marxism. Yes, says percent Professor as in Marxism. That is an Americanism. That's what Mark Levin understands so well, especially given previous works of his such as rediscovering Americanism. American marks and is quintessentially UN American. People in America professing this noxious junk, maybe Americans in terms of citizenship. With all the rights and liberties and protections afforded thereof. But they are not Americans the way the founders of this country envisioned. America is less a place that an idea, said Ronald Reagan. Already as i said in fulton county georgia. There are enough. Suspect ballots there. to overturn. The result in georgia were close to that in arizona. Pennsylvania is looking at their own audit. Our friend doug muster on is heading up that effort and so this is becoming a greater bowl rolling to make sure that we get to these audits What's so frustrating courses. That democrats even joe biden or fighting this every step of the way But we're in the midst of this fight and we're still gonna fight for the truth to come out and then where we go from here is taking those results and having the state legislatures then make a finding that those certifications were not presented to congress according to state law where we go from there. What the remedy is will people always say. Well you know. We can't have a constitutional crisis all these rhinos. I'm sorry folks. We're already in a constitutional crisis. Q&A: Can You Get Paid for Views on a Popular Social Post?

"A few years ago. I wrote on a post on facebook that ended up going viral. I didn't have a business account but all of the sudden. I had tens of thousands of people viewing sharing and commenting on the post. It took weeks for the attention to die down. I've thought about this experience ever since. Was there some way to monetize all this attention that i just didn't see at the time. There's some social networks pay people based on the number of views their poster sleeve. Unfortunately i haven't been able to replicate those results since then but i wonder if there's a key or less than i can apply some other way. Thanks chris but as i said this reminds me of a story i knew a guy who had a very similar experience to justin. He wrote a post on a personal account. Wasn't intended to be anything business at all and that post ended up blowing up to the point where he received massive attention in a short period of time so all of a sudden he was receiving not just thousands of comments on the post but thousands of messages from people who were looking for help and he was. He was writing about something personal and it really struck a cord. I think that had something to do with it. And this guy reached out to me and some other people asking for advice because he was overwhelmed like a lot of the people writing to him wanting to hire him for coaching. A lot of people just had questions. They wanted answers. There were offers from talent agents all sorts of interesting as well as some questionable opportunities coming his way and i said it happened in this very condensed period of time. You know just like justin experience a couple of weeks. Sorta fast forward a bit. That guy ended up being pretty disappointed because he thought also always like. I'm gonna make a business out of this and i'm getting famous an assistant and and basically short version one viral post doesn't make business and he assumed that whatever he posted next would have similar results and that didn't happen at all or he thought well. Maybe it won't be huge but at least it'll be bic and it wasn't because the vast majority of all that attention he received was about this one original post ninety nine point nine nine nine. Whatever percent of those people didn't stick around so it's an interesting experience to have for sure but difficult to go from zero to whatever that is all that attention and then somehow kind of settle so to get to our caller's question here justin. It's great that you had that success. I would say instead of second guessing yourself instead of trying to capitalize on that particular incident that particular posts and instead of trying to recreate it. Because you probably won't be able to. I think it's best to think about why you're post created such an impact and is that area that topic something you want to work on more. If so don't think about your next strategy to go viral. Think about your next steps to create more of a foundation.

S. athletes not the least of which is Simone Biles pulling out of the women's gymnastics competition it is unclear whether the drop in viewership can be blamed on the lack of interest in the Olympics after the a one year delay because of the corona virus or may just reflect the fact that fewer of us are watching traditional TV between all the cord cutting going on and the proliferation of streaming services available I'm Oscar wells Gabriel

Senate Panel Votes That Women Should Register for the Draft

"Alright, Here we go. Senate defense budget. Their bill would require women to register for the draft. Have you heard this one? Mr List? My Catholic Italian. Mr. Producer says. Oh, yeah, I don't blame him. Oh, he is right. This is from New York Post They Senate panels. Newly approved defense budget includes a provision requiring women to register for the draft. There were a number of Republican senators on this committee. Who either did not vote. They weren't present or voted for this, and we're trying to figure out which ones Now those of you forget about PC and all the rest of the crap those of you with a daughter. Those of you with a little girl. Do you want that little girl to register for the draft? Of course you don't. Changes to the draft, officially known as the Selective Service system, were made official in the National Defense Authorization Act. The annual military budget bill, which the Senate Armed Services Committee announced it had approved on Thursday. The N D. A amends the military Select Service Act to require the registration of women for selective service. The U. S military has not instituted a draft since the Vietnam War, and Pentagon officials have repeatedly said they intend to keep US armed forces. All voluntary star men between the ages of 18 and 25 are legally required. Be registered with the Selective service system. Penalties for not doing so include losing access to federal financial programs for higher education. Actually, that would be a good thing, I think But the language strikes explicit references to men changing the requirement to all Americans. The change was originally proposed by Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Jack Reed of Rhode Island

Are Amazon Rumors Behind Bitcoins Biggest Surge in Months?

"Bitcoin had an absolutely ripping weekend moving from the thirty two thousand. We saw entering the weekend all the way up to thirty nine thousand as i record. It's off just a little from that at around. Thirty eight thousand five hundred or so but still up about twelve percent in the last twenty four hours basically everything. Besides bitcoin is up as well. So the question of today's show is of course what's behind the surge now usually price action. I don't think would be worth an entire show. However in today's context i think it is for a couple reasons. I is that it actually reveals at least says a lot about some of the ways that different forces interact with one another to create price action and crypto markets that i think is a good reminder especially as we get locked into one narrative explanation or another. The second reason is that it's been kind of bleak for a little while so let us enjoy our one day of face ripping volatility the upside discussion. Okay all right so four possible answers. I've seen on crypto twitter about why bitcoin is having its biggest surge in a couple of months. The four possible answers. I've seen are an amazon by rumor. A teenage soothsayer astrology in a short squeeze. So let's go through these amazon by rumor. This is sort of a weird combination of a real thing and a rumor. Tucker Carlson Confronted by Man at Montana Fishing Store

"Internet's had a field day over the weekend with tucker. Carlson being confronted by a guy named dan. Bailey as tucker was with his daughter at a fly fishing shop in montana. Tucker incidentally is a apparently a big outdoors. I mean i've known for years. There's been other video of him. Fly fishing. I saw once a video of him fishing in central park which is kind of interesting. But he's a he that he that's his thing you know. And that's a hobby of his and here. He is minding his own business with his daughter. I think his daughter is i. I don't know if she's a an adult or not. A couple of comments suggested she was maybe kind of college age. I don't know much about tucker's family but in a video posted this this creeps up personal instagram account. The guy could be seen walking up to tucker at a place called dan. Bailey's fly shop in livingston. Montana turns out the guy's name is dan bailey. But it's not. Dan bailey of the dan. Bailey's fly shop in livingston. It's a coincidence. But there goes up to them. If you're if you're by computer got a smartphone. We've got the video of it. i. I'm gonna play just to make a point. I didn't want to even acknowledged this. But i was giving us a lot of thought and i guess we're going to pull back the curtain a little bit to share that. This is kind of these guys. Go through i think on a regular basis and i don't know that it's a secret that most of them have security and have to because of incidents like

"Dating is a a high wire act. You're just having to trust people on things that you normally wouldn't want to trust them on. Somebody could be lying to. Somebody could be giving you half the truth. Somebody could be giving you their wishful thinking. Which is i think the most likely you present the person you want to be not necessarily the person you are again with with all the best intentions adding the cova in the vaccination angle to it. It's really just another thing that you're already navigating so so the first answer is just throw it in with the way you're handling everything else and recognize that you're still taking chances even if you handle everything perfectly there's still a certain amount of just having to trust humanity but the second part of this answer is that it just might make things easier because this is the the whole issue of covert and vaccinations has been so politicized and has gone so haywire. But you can actually just go in there upfront. And and mentioned it. And i think you're going to get a really good idea of who you're talking to by the way they respond to your deal. You just the fact that you're taking it on upfront. You're gonna find out a lot if somebody bristles at you or gets uncomfortable or resents. You're asking you just got so much information about that person that it may actually and think of a time where you've really you've been able to get access to that much material on somebody with just question. I think it's it's almost like the miracle topic. That is so smart actually. Yeah that you know that. If they're like well why are you asking me or like what business is it of yours that you that is information that is useful in terms of how they react to talking about. You know tough tough questions at you're going to find out whether you've got a like minded person on such a deep philosophical level that like i'm thinking it's close to magic but But this is again this is this is theoretical theater. You know we're having a conversation about this. I'm not live in person in a on a date finding this out. But i have a hunch that it's magic. And then what about the part that she brought up in terms of monogamy or like wanting to know are you are your potentially infected now. The tongue and lungs being connected to other people's potentially infected mouth tongue and lungs. I mean i know that when you're vaccinated that becomes like a little bit less of or significantly less of a of a health concern. But but i still think it's a thing that you kind of want to ask like you. You want to know when you're seeing family like okay. How many people have you seen recently. Have all those people been vaccinated. I want to go see my family's i don't wanna like accidentally transmit something to people who are vulnerable in my life. Do you feel like there's a way to tactfully be like if we're going to be exposing our mouths tongues and lungs to each other in close contact and like. I want to be clear about what the expectations are from a health and emotional standpoint. Maybe i'm just worked by all of this. But i love the way you're just presented that i think that's the best i've heard because there it is you know and and if that doesn't get somebody talking i mean these are all great questions and you just i mean it's funny your question to me could be how you bring it up with a date. You just say we are in this weird universe where we have to consider that normal behavior is something. We can't take for granted and again. We can take for granted that people will be normal but we have abnormal implications and consequences to normal behavior. So can we just talk about the weird stuff before we go any further because that information isn't necessarily going to be what saves you from infecting somebody's immuno-compromised niece but what it is going to tell you is. Am i talking to somebody who is going to be a partner in good decision making or am i talking to somebody who thinks that thinking about this is for other people and not me so i think you find out a lot about the person and i think the only way you can operate is by trusting people and not specific outcomes. We have a second question that jordan. Maybe if he could teed up now. I have a question for carolyn. Hax one of the things that have been thinking a whole lot about designing a gay man and so obviously we've already had hiv pandemic kill and try to kill a seventy members of the community. And i run into a lot of awkwardness. Whenever i'm being you know other gay people that aren't yet vaccinated and allies times like all you know. Bring it up being like. Oh yeah you know like if you're vaccinated like you don't have to worry about like wearing masks or something like that or you know. It's safe to travel. But i don't know how to handle the awkwardness. Afterwards of like whenever they're like. Oh no i'm not vaccinated. I'm not doing that and it's how we handle that you know. Where do i go.

"The world's biggest challenges join us in making the world more connected with five g. from the newsroom of the washington post the washington post the washington l. Another shema with washington. This is post reports. I'm martine powers. It's friday july second today. A conversation with the posts advice columnist about navigating life after getting vaccinated. Well caroline welcome. Thank you. I feel like you need no introduction because you are super famous in the world of the post but i would love to. Have you safe our listeners. Who you are and what you do. I am carolyn. Hax and i am an advice columnist for the washington post and in syndication. And i've been doing this since one thousand nine hundred ninety seven and i have to say i mean for people who don't read the column. I mean your column is legendary. People are obsessed with it. I feel like it's often. i mean. Correct me if i'm wrong but it is often like the most red thing on the post website people love you and i remain mystified by that but i am going with it. So yes you're right. Sometimes it is the most red and i. I still am stunned when i see that. So how did you actually get into this line of work of giving people advice as your job. well. I was working in the style. Section for editor peggy hackman and she was the editor a style plus which doesn't exist anymore and she was telling me that she was being asked to consider some advice columns for younger readers and she mentioned which ones they were and i said oh those are awful. I said what you really need is a snotty thirty year old writing one of these things and snotty third year old time both and so it was just a throwaway comment and then i went home and went about my business in the next day. I just i went up to her and said you know. I keep thinking about this. I said what if i tried to write one of these things and so i took some questions from other columns and answered the myself and i'd say within a month i was writing an advice column. That's amazing and i wanted to ask this respectfully but like what makes you qualified to write in advice. Call like absolutely nothing so this is i. Guess this is part of mystification with the whole thing. Is i really believe that. I answer these from a deep well of research that i do just trying to get through life myself i find a lot of things confusing and mystifying and i spent a lot of time in elementary school and and or just grade school in general just trying to understand how it all worked and that is what i bring to the questions i get. It's like okay. I've thought a lot about this myself. And i can pretty much say that with with anything people. Ask me or if it's if it's completely new to me i've i've done some thinking on something adjacent to it because this is just i would just sit along the edges of parties and watch people and and try to understand. I try to stay away from all the things that i feel. I have no business answering so that i try to manage the questions that you would talk about with a friend say okay. I'm i'm really blue today or this person said this thing to me and i'm so angry or I don't understand what's going on in this situation so if it could be at the breakfast table then i'm going to try to answer it so caroline we wanted to ask you for advice about things related to cove it and especially now that people are getting vaccinated. Were sort of reemerging in the world and trying to figure out. How do we navigate all this new stuff. You know socially in logistically meeting back up with people on so we asked our listeners. And also your axes to send voice memos of questions that they've had and we have a few here that i want to play for you and get your advice on them this at ten. Get to you. Sure and for the record. I have not heard these before and i believe you have not heard them either correct. I have not heard these correct okay. So we're going to be like wading through all of this live. Hopefully you can. You can provide these people with good advice. So let's listen to the first one. And i think jordan marie our producer here is going to queue it up. Hi martine hi caroline. My name is chelsea. And i'm calling in from oakland california. I know this person at base dating during covert but before vaccinations set a very high bar for meeting courtship in eventual smooching with four people vaccinated in my area. I'm brought back to a long-standing point of tension open relationships in pollyanna. Marie are somewhat common in the bay area and many people put that prominently in their profile which is super helpful. I'm someone who prefers more of a one at a time approach in serial monogamy isn't typically advertised plus at bay stating can be quite a numbers game especially early on in the past a question and conversation along the lines of what are you doing with other people and what does it mean for. Me comes up at a later. Stage in a budding romance when sexually transmitted infections are the risk factor play. How would you suggest. I navigate assessing whether it is seeing other people and if those other people are vaccinated to all the while while i'm still trying to assess if i even want to spend more time with this new person. Thanks i wanna say this is a friend of mine who i know listened to the podcast religiously every day like right when it drops so i appreciate that she sent it in but i- carolina before you actually give you advice. I'm interested to get your reaction to this one. Because i do feel like. This is the thing that i've had a lot of conversations about with my friends. And like this and i think it was true for the beginning of the pandemic and i think it's still true. Now of sort of like. How do you talk through monogamy slash like what are we questioned when there are actual health implications associated with them. I think this has a two part answer. The first part is anytime you're talking about meeting and.

"Yet. Loki comes with a massive reputation. After winning his point to point by fifteen lands. A obviously Ran in a bumper last year. Gowran park on one very easily as well. Finishing so close by verney hollow. Unfortunately we won't be able to see for any holland for the rest of this season but that forum looks red off and then he won't as he'd like to novel last timing moose so he comes with a big reputation. He's a horse of the henry holes in the highest regard. And i think he's the likely favorites for this race. Potentially the most likely winner as a result. The one thing i would say is he has been both to be a very good three mile chaser in time. So it's one of those. We as i know the cliche goes that. Have anything overheard maybe a bonus for this horse. It wouldn't surprise me if he scaled up into being a very good great novice hurdler this year. But it'd be really really exciting to see this orange chocolate comex as he has such a big imposing frame and he has a horse. I'm very much for saying. I've fence next year. And some of the clubs market rivals and asheville. Bob four am just carrington. Lord willie mullins. Which are these to compose the biggest threat to bob longer. I think after. Bob probably the more solid option of the to look is former transformed this year winning an avon maiden hurdle which has worked out very well both wide receiver and shot a or were very close in behind that day and both have gone onto frank dot four wins over christmas and he won't agree to novices hurdle at back at navin their address the week before christmas. Now i suppose you were to pick holes. In that both visor allen unholy makoni clearly underperformed both seemingly looks like there was something amiss. So you're not quite so sure about the form of that race but he does bring a pretty robust level of four to the table. Blue lord and unexposed towards coming over from france at one. A decent maiden hurdle beating judy stowaway. Who good bumper horse for my mullins. Last year at form is also decent enough but he will have to step up and maybe my lack from an experience point of view in a race took us. this is the second start over hurdles. And the four horse in the betting farrukh dylan for good. Nellie many people attempted this horse up as a pencil album bottle horse. And do you think he when he run over two and a half of the weekend. I'd say it's probably doubtful. I think he had a token phrase in limerick over two miles savvy in that grade two novice hurdle which they won last year with fury road on the way to coming towards and very arguably at look enough to win the alberto last year as assumed. That's the plan. I take this race in both the one thing. You'd have to be a little bit concerned with frucht. Dhillon even going forward was his only star going left handed over hurdles which is late. Alexa cheltenham leopardstown daintree. At three big courses go was. He jumped out to his rice. I've novel nafta in a great two novels ardal. I'm is something that will have to be seen to be addressed at before. He tackles cheltenham for me anyway. I don't think a multiple proposition. Until i know for certain. Does he can jump strange going lifetime that resource steering for lunch. Maybe give his race away into supreme last year jumping to his roy. I would say for roop dhillon. The more likely option for him is maybe the nathaniel lacey novice hurdle at the in racing festival. The two miles six-furlong writes the latest exhibition. One last year. I assume that's the most likely target forum going forward before onto jump and for those are each way. Punters looking for big price. At which out outside is what you get the best chance to. It is hard to know what's going to line up just this time but i suppose again if you're going to take action alibaba's a pretty decent chance. You might have to give a chance to gaba nocco africa problem while i assume he will run in this race and it'd be ridden to pick up. The pieces is a sixteen to one. I think it's not the worst from an hr perspective taking. He has a chance. Maybe a slight in into the frame not sure have. The rice is going to cut up. He brings a decent enough level of form to the table finishing third in grade to behind ashtray. Oh bob last. Time i didn. If he was to repeat dot m. even improved a coupla lens he wanted the frame and andrew looking ahead to the cheltenham the fence festival. We've mentioned a multiple races. Now which one horse awry most of the christmas period with a view For potentially cheltenham handicapper as many people have got their eyes on those at the. Haven't i've been very sleaze on horse school wide receiver mansion there in regards to ashdown bob's form at for like the martin pipe. No a few shrewd georgia's have told similar as well. He's just being campaign in in the form of that usually down that route. Four connections. Gordon elliott martin pipe force usually gets four to five to maybe even six rooms over hurdles before running in the race of wide receivers already round four times over hurdles and it wouldn't surprise me if they look ahead. Fifth raise in sees entered up in. This lawyer is a nice raise on the weekend. I would suspect he won't turn up in. This might be seen in a handicap but the doping racing festival. But he's a horse. I'm very very sweet on with the martin in. He fits all of the the trends at being a novice going into the race on tink. Gordon elliott has obviously always said that he loves winning the martin. Pipe very look enough to do so last year. I'm sure he'll be looking for vengeance. Andrew that's very dangerous. Dangerous statement to make you go many people's feelings tingling after column fire in the martin pipe last year and is a big fan of him on the day it was a brutal sitting in for the last of god fading. This horse might become a bit of a cliff force like him but thank you very much for joining us ambassador for this weekend..

"I think he's a gold cup contender odd. No i really don't even though he's won. This he's beating kamboi melon melon. To meet didn't stay the trip. He looked like a winner. Two furlongs from home didn't get home. Kamboi won the rice. Before he's in britain inform and there is plenty to be designed. Mineta window fell and factories with pulled up del to work on c. Two one at last year out of lied to seen no doubt if taught beaten those two officers and stayed on the feed. Then then you have to mark out up a jobs no convince. Appro- todd is consistent enough on a g thing. This could be a time of year. You can look back twelve months where it'd be shocking swat over two miles here. Ultimately i think that potentially the best form you've ever had shocking. Swallow them really impressive. I don't think todd is a gold cup contender and looking album pfizer mention. He's running turmoil. I think album foto is clear favor. I think there's potentially full. Horses could be him santini if it's soft ambling his. I think that manila has a good chance she He looks really impressive. I think delta work has got. John's and then i think champ with not seeing champion. I think he's going to get to the denman chased. Newberry champ amisi only one out the full web realistically. I could see him beating him. I think the other three are going to get very very nice. Appre toss no for me. What did you make the run. It was an epic right. I was gonna say first and foremost regardless of where it stands a gold cup trial and where the main protagonists factor in the markets this britain to watch a it was a fabulous five. Yeah i mean it reminded them but it's title bay a few years ago. Where ruby welsh lifted him naked out the fire from from looking like he was going up and down the fall off the running all of a sudden the the surge came with and he actually ended up a ready winner by. That's on the hitler line. And i think i have to give credit to darrow keefe on. I'm not even sure was in his first grade. One ride and to to deliver a beautiful ride like he did patient weights and ride on on. This horse was was a notable effort. could i. She put me to contend talking. Possibly could you know a ridden patiently in similar tactics. I think he's also the halloween on talent. He's a big engine. As you said he was able to love shocking. Swabs colors before and the the new Interesting asia's i. I'm telling whether that helped. I mean like i say the form possibly has question marks. Were no doubt has question marks but i would like to see him over this trip again before i'd be able to say that he categorically cannot win a go cooks. I think he has the ability to be a contender. Melon for me. This is one of those races why he was nothing wrong with the right. He got on the day but on reflection. I'm sure patrick mullins wishes he could have ridden him with more restraint because he jumped and traveled and he had. The mole cooked three outs. I think he was where he made the mistake. If the race was two and a half it one by a mile Do i think it's you can say right now that he doesn't stay i think you have to put his question out by. I would love to see him over the trip again but ridden cold. And i think of you asked patrick mullins. Honestly that's what he would think too. That doesn't mean like i say the criticizing the jockey on the day. Because i actually thought he wrote at the only way he could give him the tactics they sets out with and it just didn't work out then. Ken boy was a it was a return. To form wasn't a numb abide again. Just not sure see'ums ago couple Angry is sort of made for him. That flat track and that's what he probably go the frustration. The race was the early departures of manila window to see if we could. He could step up to grade one open company. It was a fantastically the race. And of course our delta where conceits in after the whole world jack kennedy ride in. Won't you ride him. I would imagine that rule. Dawn elliott frustrations of his own. Because to have your bride that knows him so well because he's not straightforward delta burke. He's not always that the easiest horse the jump to have a last minute change and take nothing away from sean flanagan. A new ride or on to that end up with a you are out. Imagine that brought certain amount of Jack kennedy has gone so well we delta record that thing that was the rights lost. But don't take anything thing away from phonic but when a whole does develop a relationship It's very difficult for someone else to come on an unstable. You have that same Horse and a pretty tall to find it fascinating whether he runs over two miles. Well fool miles. I feel like he's he hits a flat spot at some point in the race. And why is that some host who attended a. I mean it could be win related hence like say. We've seen the henry the problem head as fitted him with the first time tongue. Strap so which just helps keep tongue still and not let it get in the way of the whole horse's windpipe when he when he's racing because it it stops being out a move around and sort of restrict the flow of oxygen down the horses lungs now whether that has helped significantly. Uh suppose we're gonna need to see him again with it on to know that it could have been win related. The has been assisted by the tongue. Strap it could just be historic racing What we do know is he did not hit the line. Strong over this. I try it three miles and therefore for me. He writes an interesting contender. And i'm looking forward to seeing him over that trip again. We touched on scouts and earlier under the great phone. He's in at the moment. We need to talk about new. By negra who who dethroned alcyone in the desert all kit am. Let's talk about the winner. First before we move onto your what did you make of niagara and can potentially be a champion champion chase season. Visually hit was mightily. Impressive wasn't it Honeybee champion chaser. This is.

"To the racing. Rob nasha one number. So this says bond joined by my co host. Charlie post charlie. We've just had some news of another lockdown looks never-ending. Yeah it's pretty it's pretty bleak you know and there's no point trying to address it up something. It isn't josh. And it's frustrating and look there a bigger problems in the world than our own but It's difficult to see an end to it right now. And the fact. We're not far on from a year from when this first started. And we're back to full-scale lockdown again it. It makes it does. It can't get on top if you want but hopefully we can bring a bit of light relief in a bit of entertainment from this podcast and and keep the show on the road. Because what else can we do. Absolutely hope you're well for those listening or tuning. Maybe for the first time and we're almost halfway through the season so the attention now turns to cheltenham. We're going to go before we start this like united we. This has been debated all over christmas. Let's not make the jump. All about cheltenham. Where with fully. Three months ohio still you know. Let's just rain it in. We had some top class action over christmas that deserves to be analyzed for its own merits not as chilton festival trial surely absolutely cheltenham gift so many answers and you have so many questions go into it. That's what makes it such a spectacle and that's why people want to talk about the any will move on. We're going to review at the christmas racing taste had some brilliant writing printing georgia's plenty king plenty great king. I wouldn't mind funding. And i'm sure paul nicholls would either but we'll start in the twenty six where the champion hurdle anti-vice favor efforts aunt came up short silver streak at bold frontrunning ride from out and wedge and he got the job done an on. What did you make of her lackluster. Yeah it'd be honest as in the feeling after got was that understandably from hug defy favourite. They thought she would win as we were getting. More often is the excuses afterwards vow a lack of sharpness etc etc. Eight coleman archie of appreciated and respected it. He was i think he was quite honest in his in his assessment but it was just disappointing and she felt lackluster. But again looking away from that credit to have williams and brilliant for adam wedge becoming a real combination that are actually able to make an impact to the top table and silver straight. He's not really shied away from any back lousy united. He pitches up time and time again. An always gives him his running mate becomes short but he got his day in the sun and that was great thin absolutely looking at long-term if we ought to look towards the jumping festival. Do you think you can forget appetite for that. All does that Does a grow as growing concern Cata forgive on yes without question. Nicky henderson taken plenty. Of flack in recent weeks for his handling about your and other things aside butts if there's one man that you on your side when it comes especially to train the champion hurdle winner nicky henderson is. That is that trainer does tampa confidence in the chomping. Of course it does this. You know she'd been beaten at one to five when you fully expected to win. Would it stop me from thinking. She can win a champion hurdle. The christmas huddle definitely wouldn't do that. I still would see episode as the one that they will got to beat because she's done it before and she's trained by master who is renowned a priming. These horses to be ready for those days is so restrict now of real contender. He's a place chance in all honesty. You know you've got to be fair. Can kennedy see silver streak. Winning champion hurdle turned up to trump times. Not exactly not performed is best age. Not the form that is best. I mean look much as that he has got plenty reasonable champion hurdle form but a reason festival form but i mean he was sick in lashes. Champion a don't really see any reason why you should be reversed informed with the likes of charger and episode on on that day in march and for me he's an memorable hosts and also you'd love to iron struggle to see him. Become a champion less arch. Quitting was ruined on the twenty ninth the huddle and charge at date win. That was being young. Pretenders in the race saint roi abracadabra many people expecting these horses to make that step up and it was the time will all timer is too young by seems like he's been around forever schaja goal job look brilliant doing unto patrick mullins. What does that say about the irish two mile division What does it say about. I mean it probably says the the young up and comers are still going to of way to go you know take nothing away from schaja third time third year running pitched up a christmas Them by hurricane fly before is that right. Yeah which is a not bad company in you know in. He is admirably consistent again. And i mean the only concern concept for him much as he was placed in lashes. Champion is that it seems the town in in december brings out the absolute best in him. Doesn't it again what you're looking at is can. He made the step up to win a champion hurdle now after being beaten and before i think patrick mullins on the day said that he'd liked another guy at the champion huddle is a bit too far back. I think in in in last year's renewal so you have to respect those opinions. I mean i do. I suppose looking at it. Do i feel i could see schaja winning champion her as a as a against the fact that i can't see silvestri yes. I think shot charge. It does rates a player. He's going to be ridden patiently. He's always going to be written to pick the pieces up a little bit. And i think if he can keep tabs a bit more early than he has to be a contender disney. Yeah absolutely saudi iran. Well for long way. I left a lot to be desired. Saint who was a favor on the day didn't disappear. I think he obviously did disappoint. He was beaten. I'm full. he's only five points behind georgia and that you think that's when he was physically. I think mentally as well. He still relatively light rice. He will be. Probables am petty mu. Shwe aspire tower on well schaja one. It t think any of these you think nicky henderson looking at the time and i'm worried about any of these i don't think so i mean like i say i still regardless of what happened over christmas. You have the flag up. That efforts on is the one that they will have to beat because she beat plenty of last year and like i say she's the reigning champion. I mean saint. He wanted he wanted to accountancy hurdle of one three seven. And is he and improve a without question. Does he still have to show beyond doubt he can become a grade. One hurdler for me. Does you know an like yes. You are completely right. He didn't run badly at all and there was plenty to like about his performance from from a basis of. Can't handle this that step up to that grade. Best to you carol. I learned you name that day. Carol Griffin what she would tell me. It would change the way. I. Looked at the story I just published and it would give new meaning to the system that failed in Clark. Soon. Carol would name the person she was implicating in that email. And it was a name I had heard before an might quote it in my first story. A name that was all over Jairo cruises case docket. Judge.

"You might be wondering what happened after Lauren filed her legal motion. She claimed her rights were violated by how the justice system had handled her case. She actually ended up back in court. It had been four years since her first time speaking to the judge in the case Truman Morrison. and. Now, she got the chance to do something rare. To give a second statement to the judge about how she had been affected as a crime victim. Asked Lauren to read our statement from the court transcript. I understand why survivors of sexual assault don't report the crimes committed against them it's like signing up to be retraumatize. It's a battle that tethers us to pain. You never asked for and most certainly never deserved. However I'm here today your honor to save this man has done more than enough to deserve the sentence imposed four years ago and that he still deserves it today. I deserve to feel safe and so does this community? How many people have to hold their sisters, their friends their lovers are their daughters while they weep because of the things that this man has done. It blows my mind that Mr crews didn't have to register as a sex offender. It is even more insane to me that he hasn't taken the sex offender treatment assessment that was rightfully included in his sentence. This man said himself that he's sick and he told you that he has a problem. Why. Don't you take his word for it? I certainly do. judge Morrison apologized to Lauren. That day he said it was wrong to hold a hearing without her knowledge. And he changed his mind. He put crews back on supervised probation and he ordered the Probation Agency to fix their mistakes in the case. Here's what the judge said to Lauren. Quote I've been adjudged now for thirty seven years and I don't remember ever having heard a more eloquent or forceful articulation of what it was like to be a victim in a case like this then the one that you've just rendered. And I'm extremely grateful to you for having the courage to come forward and say the things that you've just said. And I apologize to you that the system didn't enable you to be here either yourself or with your lawyer at the time that you had a right to be. I can only say to you I did not willfully violate your rights. We just weren't paying attention. After all of this, I just kept coming back to Lawrence decision to hand out those fliers. I ask her why she did it. All, with the truth. And I did it to give myself. A Safe Environment Levin. Did you feel better after doing it. Better like especially relative term. I felt better knowing that wasn't going to see him walk past the Salon, I felt better knowing that like I wasn't. GonNa again eat at a restaurant where he works without knowing it. I felt better that people refuse to accept this type of behavior and stood with me. But it wasn't like I just felt better. One of the things that especially in the aftermath of the metoo movement, a lot of these stories are now looking at what we call the systems you know that enabled this type of behavior for years and you and I talked about this a lot but. When you look back at this case, how do you look at the system? You know did the system fail you? Yeah. The system failed me. System failed my community, the system failed us. This system failed him. Failed. I'm sure that I'm not the only person that this has been hard for. And I, think that a lot of ways. This is immediate a lot harder. Story was published in The Washington Post in early twenty. Nineteen. It was co authored by reporter Mara Jesus and it was titled the WHO Attacked Me Works in your kitchen. Victim of serial groper took justice into her own hands. Throughout that day and the following days we got a lot of emails and comments from readers. They were reaching out to say why the story stuck with them people from all over the world were telling us that they felt really connected to. Lauren and that they even felt inspired by her. They also had a lot of opinions about Lauren and what she did whether it was right or whether it was wrong or if she had even gone too far. People were also really upset about DC's criminal justice system. They were mad at the prosecutors for charging these crimes as misdemeanors they were mad at the probation officers and they were mad at the judge forgiving ten day jail sentence to a man who attacked six women. So after the story published and after I answered as many emails and comments as I could I moved on to the next story and it had nothing to do with sexual assault. I thought I was done with these types of stories for a while. And then on one Saturday evening in February of Twenty nineteen. I got an email. It read hi Amy. My name is Carol and I have some information that may be pertinent to your recent article. It is very sensitive information for me implicating person in your story. I appreciate your reporting and the work you do around this issue..

"When you when you were speaking in court new gave your victim impact statement. And then you saw the outcome with what the judge decided to sentence cruise to like. The judge actually heard you understood what you were saying your words had any impact. Honestly I feel like when the judge asked Or said that he was going to take some time to like deliberate and think about what he had heard from my statement and from. Cruises statement He. rescheduled. You know his decision and I didn't go to that. The I felt like he didn't. Want to say to my face if I hadn't been there that day and made that statement I don't know what the judge. How he would have ruled. It's hard to think that like. It would have been. An. Even more. I guess reduced sentence that it would have been less jail time. and that you know going and saying what I said. I'm glad that I went I'm glad that I. mean. She was gripped by these panic attacks that really started to disrupt her work life and social life. She tried to channel the anger and disappointment into more positive. She turned to advocacy work. And she organized a march for other sexual assault survivors in DC. But it was hard to pretend like things were back to normal for Lauren. Especially because after the attacks cruises career kind of took off. He got a new job at led Zeppelin Matt, which was one of the hottest restaurants in town. And this restaurant happened to be just a few blocks away from Lawrence, Salon? He was unavoidable. She saw me at a bar. She saw him outside of her apartment. Once when she was cutting hair, she even saw him walk by the Salon Window. Wasn't okay with me like him being so close like. How am I supposed to live like? How am I supposed to like just live my life? She was terrified. She needed some feeling of security. Some reassurance that someone somewhere was watching him. He was supposed to be on supervised probation. So, she went to the court website. She found the case docket and she saw a note that there have been a recent hearing hearing in her case and no one had told her about it. which is actually a violation of her rights as a crime victim. And at that hearing the one that she wasn't therefore. Cruises, probation officer revealed that there have been a mistake. Over the past four years cruise was supposed to be getting treatment for his violent sexual tendencies. This was supposed to be a crucial part of his probation and rehabilitation. But it never happened. Instead of any meaningful attempts at rehabilitation, it seemed as if he monitored like a low level drug offender. Judge Morrison said that despite all of this failures, the chef have been on pretty good behavior and really didn't need to be monitored any longer. So he moved cruise to unsupervised probation. At. This point in the story, a lot of people would have just accepted this outcome. It had been years since the assault. What could learn really do? It got to the point where you know my wellbeing. had been sacrificed so many times that..

"During these hearings, there was a bombshell that came out in the courtroom. As part of the evaluation for his sentencing, Jairo crews admitted to attacking four other women in the past in very similar crimes. This information was apparently never shared with the police. So I don't know the identity of these four other women and I don't know of their cases were ever investigated. And Total Jairo cruised admitted to attacking six. Later on, I would reach out to cruise and he declined an interview, but he would issue an apology. The Judge Truman Morrison also wouldn't agree to an interview with me about Lawrence. Case. But in twenty thirteen in court Judge Morrison referred to the crime as quote. And serious misdemeanor as a judge sees. That's according to court transcripts. He also called it a quote difficult and unusual case one marked by quote dramatic concur to witness violence. Cruises Defense Attorneys said that cruises father died when he was a boy and that led to a rough childhood, the defense attorney pointed to cruise as alcohol problems and said that crews have been drinking before these attacks. Judge. Morrison. Challenged this defense he said you know millions of people drink too much and don't go around. assaulting women They don't know on the street violently and that was. Really Nice to hear. The judge say and you know I think he. He didn't take lightly the things that I said and my he didn't take my experience lightly. Judge Morrison took a lot of time to decide this case he ended up having to more hearings just to talk through all of the options for crews. Lauren.

You might remember a story we did almost two years ago. It was about a woman in DC who was sexually assaulted and how she took matters into her own hands after the justice system failed her. We'll you start with just saying who you are and what you do at the Post my name is Amy Britain and I'm an investigative reporter. After post reporting, she found out that the story didn't end where she thought. It did in fact, it started her and our producer Rena Florez on reporting journey that culminated in a whole new series it's called Canary The Washington Post investigates and all seven episodes are out today Just a warning, this episode contains explicit language and descriptions of sexual assault. One day back in June of two, thousand seventeen, a young woman walked up and down a bustling street in Washington DC. She was carrying with her a stack of paper flyers that she passed out in bars and restaurants and cafes. But these fliers they were unusual. They weren't advertisements were lost him film posters. Instead they had screen shots of something called a case docket. It's like a timeline of the major events of Criminal Court case, and it has the names of judges and lawyers and defendants. This docket showed that a man pleaded guilty to charges of sexual abuse. There were several photos of him and at the top of the fires and bright red capital letters it said. This man has assaulted six women in DC. These flyers were a warning? The woman who handed them out At the time, she didn't want her identity to be known. She was victim. But she was a lot more than that. And Her story started me on a reporting journey that has lasted for nearly three years. A story that has played out in the middle of a larger cultural reckoning..

"The appreciative of. The collaboration that's going on so I think it's had a really really positive impact on the industry. We were. To come out of this is the the online platform the new online sales about four. How do you think it's going down in terms of sort of percentage of horses so? On the fails ground in. An online. What does that let light? Well we launched it for the first time at the breeze upsell. The first thing I'd like to say. Where grade team we, we have a great team and ghosts and golfs UK. People contributed, but I would single out. Our colleague Michael Jordan. WHO's the marketing director of Ghosts UK because he picked up this ball and run with it, and and he ran with it like somebody whose life depended on it at MIT. Maybe it did in terms of. What we were doing, but We looking required in an online platform through the door. Across, the group. But he always he became. We accelerated that development. Earlier this year when rented lockdown, and it was a great asset to have it, we took bids from from bias from Dubai from the United, states from the far east of Scandinavian from Italy. I think we sold six hundred and fifty thousand people horses. Online I? Think there were eleven lots I think. The worked seventy eight lots took online bids. That was a great addition in the current. Be To have it. We see it as being part of all of ourselves going forward. It's an addition to our sales. Wait, we don't. We don't see it replacing sales, but being a valuable tool that we can use. Michael Sat on the rostrum every single lot that we offered out of the Gos- UK and a breeze sales, I think he took a comfort break in the two minute gap between the two sales at under the mighty job and I think. Are Auctioning team adapted well to letting everybody know during the live auction whether the line was on bid or was online story or not. And I think it was a great asset. Wait, we say. We work in Australia we saw working in tattersalls as well and you'll see at Landrover silent sales beyond. In both ankles UK. And Henry just a quick look ahead to the summit next week. You've talked about the collaboration with TAT SIN as as off season supplementary entries from the Dhabi style. That guidance be offered that I'm. Looking forward to the sale and I. can you tell us a bit more about He will see that. Well I hope you'll see. This, a replacement for the doncaster spring sale, which is traditionally been the end of season finale to the national world at the major national players converged on doncaster. Every single year we sold the world's highest price. NASL onto was ever sale last year at six, hundred, twenty, thousand, it mixed together. It makes together before the supplementaries. It makes us together a really really good bunch. The Best Bunch we can put together of national on stores and we've so wonderful horse from the leading vendors for both Britain on and. In that sale you know the middle hoses. The little lodges at the Gophers the bud encourage the oak tree farms on unemployment. Others with some very very classy stores. We've added on sixty I. think Sixty supplementaries as we sit now the UK. Landrover, horses to try and help them. The UK Donald Mel Dabi Dabi sales is to help them. And tell us was also asked us to accommodate a small number of other schools in that catalog to assist with logistical issues that some of the vendors were facing going into other sales. We have to cap it at a certain number from a stabling point of view. But Monday afternoon, the Tuesday will give up a mouthwatering bunch of stores. And we expect to see all the major players that. And then we move on Wednesday into our full Moses traditionally the strongest form go sale of the year that we have a way. It's the centerpiece of that. Every year is the million mind dispersal. Soul to wonderful losses downed year. There's been some great moments. With millionaire mind down the years and we've got A. Half dozen really good bungee. Headed by the likes of Ground Roy we expect to be very well received A. Special Section of point to point, is the supplementaries there as well some very very small point to point all those leading. Nurseries the likes of them. Milestone mom, bag, body, boy, and plenty of others, so we've got some very nice. Horses is over the three days where expecting at a hoping. For good sale in a normal year would be probably quite bullish about it, but in covid land covered world. We go forward with. Hope an expectation and. An end to weeks later on the Land Rover Sale and There's been a debate of might just talk about that for a second is that's okay. There's obviously. Withheld sales in the UK and dunks to this been sales in newmarket are connor held their first since the lockdown and covid nineteen rates ugly head yesterday in Deauville. We were. We're full steam ahead planning ourselves. killed their products in Canada Day for the sale in two weeks time. We have huge list of protocols very similar to the ones. We had a dog step. In place at you've seen it all the other venue so far at the one issue that is preying on everybody's mind is the is the requirement from the government everybody from outside coming into the country into Ostlund, at two at do a fourteen day quarantine that would obviously be a barrier to overseas vice will working hand in glove with HR I. H Irishstar, marketing titles on and goals are working together to ensure the we could deliver a selected number of overseas buys in a safe way to our sales in killed at and the titles sailing meet. The weekly check out and we think we will have that in place in if not today tomorrow and we can invite people to come, so we're very much looking forward to that. It's important that we do that. Of course, tattersalls engulfs both. Fortunate in that we have sales grants on both sides of the Irish Sea, so we proved with the breeze upset with prove with the store sale next week in the working as I mentioned before we we are. We like to be adaptable where reactive we can move quickly. We can make quick decisions and we will make any decisions on on sales. In plenty of time for kinds to know at the moment we're looking forward to being dunks next week and to being killed. At two weeks later. All sounds really promising.

"Knowing that when we divide these categories into male and female female excluding a whole population of people. Why do we still do it that way? Why did that happen in the first place? Yes so if you look at the amount of awards at are you can win if categories are broken up. That means that there's an option for you. Know Two people to win and acting female. Identifying person will win that means that more women will win. But if you look at like the directing category for instance for the Oscars you'll see that it's it's been non gendered forever for the past ninety s years and only one woman has ever won in the best director category category only one and the winner is well. The time has come Kathryn. Bigelow only five women have ever been nominated and Oscars history. There have been five. Bob's that have one. So knowing that are people worried that if we get rid of gendered category than maybe the entire Oscars starts to look like like buster rector that is the biggest fear and part of the reason why people are holding onto it and I think even like the non binary actors. We talked to believe that like we do need the separation there needs to be more categories not less categories and what that means is may be changing the structure of what the words are in these categories. I think we can go a little bit further and making that language inclusive going female or non binary actor male or non binary actor Kylie sparks and unbinding actor recommended that that we just Edwards. Just add words to the end of of acting categories it six words. Let's just do it at six words but it opens up a world of inclusion. They will feel more free and instead of being put into these boxes that they don't necessarily fit into and be able to say yes. I was in this movie. I am getting the recognition that I deserve for my work because I worked very hard on it and I would like to be considered in this category that reflects who I am. I am as a person so we talked to Jacob Tobia. Who is an actor voice actor on Shira and the princesses of power? Who talked a lot about you? Know adding categories that were not about gender but that wouldn't eliminate the amount of awards. I could win. I think we look at the grammys as a model right that we have best debut performance wits by an actor in a drama right and US actor as a gender neutral term. Let's add debut categories. Or you know have for you are in this career in this genre. Adding more categories that aren't specific to gender. The competition would be based in something that actually impacts your ability to do your job right like as an actor what genitals knows you have have nothing to do or how you identify your gender have nothing to do with your skill and ability like any person if any gender can act and can perform beautifully but let whether or not you've been in a show before versus you're like a seasoned that and have been in like seven shows and this is your seventh I think that could be a really interesting way to break it down instead and especially especially. I'm sure if you add categories like debut or early in their career that is a kind of category that is probably going to lift up female identifying people on on Binary folks for sure I mean if you look at the. Dj's they have a category that essentially the best in theatrical achievement in film and they have one that's kind of like the new upcoming coming category like first feature film and in the the first category in the best film period or the best film it was all men and only one person of color. And then if you look at in the upcoming it's majority women a majority people of color what we need to really work on is changing the voting memberships. We talked with April rain. Who Created Oscarssowhite and one of the things that she advocates a lot for is changing the voting block starting there so that we have have more non binary folks more Queer folks more people from the LGBT plus community more women in the actual membership So that we know that the actual voting process is going to be more inclusive than it is now. The people who get to make a lot of these decisions are the voting blocks and the Oscars came up with initiative. That in twenty twenty they would double their numbers of women and double numbers of people of Color and hit it for people the color not for women this round but that that needs to start that needs to be like where we kind of start to structural change and hopefully that will lead to more recognition Shen of traditionally underrepresented communities. It's it's interesting to me because I think about Hollywood and La La as Super Liberal. You know super aware of stuff like this so I guess it's just something I would expect people people to be very receptive of. Yeah I I mean I think that that would is the general assumption too especially because of how Hollywood likes to you put themself into like political movements and kind of like say that they're agents of change you know and I do think that there are people that are interested in that change. I think I think the question is really. How do we do that? And who do we talk to about it and I think who we talked to are the exact people should be talking to you. Know Non Binary actors who are in these positions.

"Since the president was acquitted? What have we been hearing from him? you know. He is a president entirely unshackled. In unleashed Phil Rucker. Is the White House Bureau chief for the Post we've all been through a lot together and We probably deserve that hand for all of us. Because it's been a very unfair situation invited. Did he held forth in the stream of the White House. which is one of the most regal settings of American power in our history and unleashed what amounted to a festivus estimates of grievances? Had I not fired James Comey who was a disaster by the way it's possible I wouldn't wouldn't even be standing here right now. We caught them in the act. He attacked Nancy. Pelosi and suggested Nancy Pelosi is a horrible person. She doesn't pray when she said. Aw I pray for the President I pray for the price of Pelosi in fact is a devout Catholic Jamais pray but you press for the opposite but I doubt she prays at all. He attacked Mitt Romney. And then you have some that used religion and suggested he faith as a crutch in explaining his decision to convict the president. I never he used before. But you know it's a failed presidential candidate so things can happen when you fail so badly running for President Romney in fact act has been a leader a bishop in his church and is one of the most faithful men or women in public service in our country we I went through Russia Russia Russia Russia. It was all bullshit. We then went through the Muller report he went on though he laid out his grievances about the FBI officials about the witch hunt saying he had done nothing wrong. The only thing that was wrong with his family for having to go through this ordeal we've been going through this now for for over three years. He called the Democrats evil. It was evil it was corrupt it was dirty cups. It was leakers and liars for having tried to hold him accountable for his actions in Ukraine. A phony rotten deal by some very evil in sick people. It was a remarkable display and I think an indication of now that the president has escaped accountability for these actions in the impeachment proceedings. Key sees himself as a way. Ah The line. He's going to do and say whatever pleases on his March to reelection.
